WWE NXT is still a developmental league for WWE, and Bradley Jay has a look at the 6 future stars developing there right now.

These Six Superstars aren’t just the future of NXT, they are the future of wrestling.

6. Bronson Reed: Athletic big man, shades of Bam Bam Bigelow. Big teddy bear you can’t help but love. It’s a testament to his in-ring ability that he’s gotten over with limited mic skills. Once he figures that out, there’s no stopping the Thicc Boi. His Tsunami is one of the best finishers in the biz. I don’t know if he can be the top Frog (splash), but he’ll hold every other belt by the time he’s done. 

5. Swerve Scott: I can’t believe this smooth killer is the same guy I once said was a generic 205 Live guy. I watch some wrestlers and know I’ve seen everything they can do (Tick Tock). I watch Swerve and wonder what this cray cray bastard will do next. His electric smile is hiding a real sinister side. Right now, there’s no one more exciting to watch in ring than Swerve.  Not sure if he’ll hold the big belt, but I see a lot of other titles in his future, including a MITB victory.   

4. Zoey Stark: The minute she stepped into an NXT ring, she looked like she’s been wrestling her entire life. She is a natural. She has a blend of speed & power unlike any other female in all of WWE. Her intensity is off the charts. Every shot she lands looks like she’s hitting you with everything she’s got. Future world champion for certain.  

3. Austin Theory: He came in as a cocky jerk, and I believed he was a cocky jerk.. He morphed into a bumbling goober, and I believe he’s a bumbling goober. That is an impressive range for a guy who is only 23. Twenty freaking three! He looks like a champion. He moves like a champion. There is a 100% chance he’ll be in the main event of WrestleMania one day. 100%. That’s right. I said it.

2. MSK: I was skeptical of the new kids getting an instant major push. It felt so predictable. That lasted about two weeks. They have gotten better with every match. Nash Carter (sounds like an ‘80s cop show) in particular has grown on me. His promos are annoying, but in ring the dude moves like a guy who grew up loving wrestling. He’ll be Christian, which isn’t a bad thing to be. On the other hand, his partner…

1. Wes Lee: Of all the amazing talent in NXT right now, the one with the highest ceiling is a tag team guy.  Wes Lee is the guy you love and hate. You want to be his friend but damn you’re jealous that he’s so good at everything, and he looks like a million bucks doing it. He’s also the best athlete to come through NXT not named Ricochet. I hope and pray they handle him better than the current Mr. Main Event. If so, he is an absolute, bona fide, certified star. He’s Make A Wish. He’s the Today Show. He’s the face of a company.
