Or will the Bunkhouse soon belong to Boston?

The introductions are made, and WHOA, Sammy & Dustin attack on the ramp! The fans fire up, the bell rings, and things head back down the ramp. The fans fire up for “A E DUB! The fans fire up, Dustin BULLDOGS Taven off the stage, THROUGH TABLES COVERED IN BARBED WIRE!! When did those get there!?! The fans lose their minds again, but Bennett drags Dustin out of the wreckage. They leave Taven behind so Bennett can POST Dustin! Bennett puts Dustin in the ring, but Sammy CUTTERS Bennett off the apron and THROUGH ANOTHER TABLE!! The fans lose their minds again, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Dustin writhes in the ring, Sammy drags himself up from the wreckage, and The Kingdom is in a lot of pain. Sammy goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a new TABLE! Backstage interview with Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Holo.grm.

Lexy Nair is with The Conglomeration and their honorary amigo, but before she can even really start, The Premier Athletes barge in! Ariya Daivari says what Lexy should really be doing is interviewing the premier half of this match. And Mark Sterling says that’s his team. Something happened yesterday at city hall. The Mayor of Springfield personally told Mark Sterling that today is now AEW Day. Sterling was offered the chance to make it just Premier Athletes Day, but he said no, give it to the entire company because that’s just how giving Sterling is.

They’re in Sterling’s hometown, and he’s gonna make sure there are no shenanigans out there! And he will not allow Kyle O’Reilly to get him in the privates again. Mark Briscoe repeats, “Shenanigans? Shenanigans?” Well that’s funny, because even in the midst of these three scallywags, Mark only sees one single shenanigator, and that is Sterling! What?! Kyle asks if “Shenanigator” is that the word of the day. Mark says close, but also way off. The word of the day is, “Equalizer!” It’s AZUCAR~! Rocky Romero steps in now and he says there is only one way to equalize shenanigans, and that is with Azucar~!

Sterling says alright, save it for the ring. The Premier Athletes all promise to see The Conglomeration and friends out there, but will they be able to shenanigate their way out of this one?

AEW receives a special message.

The AEW Dynamite five-year anniversary, 10/2/24, get ready for more D M D! Britt Baker is going to return for the first time since All In, but who will see The Doctor in that ring?

Backstage interview with The Dark Order.

Lexy Nair is with Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds, and notes that Player One will be facing Darby Allin ahead of the big match at Grand Slam against Jon Moxley. Oh, yes, a BIG~ match! HUGE~! ENORMOUS~! But also hilarious. We’re already talking as if Uno isn’t facing Darby tonight. Well, Darby steps in and tells Uno that yeah, they’re having a fight. But can’t they see what is happening? There is a war coming. Didn’t they see what happened to Private Party? Moxley thinks Private Party are just a couple jokes. Moxley thinks the same of Dark Order. And he thinks the same of Darby Allin.

But Darby Allin isn’t gonna lay down and die. The Dark Order can do that, play their video games, do their dumb skits, but not Darby. They’ll fight tonight, and Darby shows the difference between him and Uno. Darby won’t lay down and die, he’s gonna lead the way into the future as the NEXT AEW World Champion. “Remind me what you’re capable of! Remind me that you still have that dog in you! Cuz I don’t see it anymore! All I see is someone collecting a paycheck and coasting! You have been on cruise control for too long, remind me what you can do!” Darby then takes a chug of water, and he gets in Uno’s face!

Darby tells Uno to fight him tonight, because this isn’t a joke anymore! Darby has Uno all riled up, will these two tear each other apart?

Six Man Tag: Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Holo.grm w/ Rocky Romero VS The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling!

We heard from these teams backstage, now it is time to put up or shut up! Will The #Hologlomeration be blazing a trail through the AEW Trios Division? Or will Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari & Josh Woods prove they’re not just their potential?

Sterling of course takes the introductions because everyone knows who they are, “especially the people of Springfield.” Must be why they’re booing… Sterling reminds us that today has been declared AEW Day in Springfield. And also, Sterling was given the key to the city! Which he has to say, it doesn’t even work! They’ve been treated so poorly since they got here, they cannot wait to get outta this crap town and go to somewhere like New York! Springfield, you can redeem yourselves. Join in the cheer, “Athletes” and “Rule!” NOT “Suck!” Hands in, boys. Oh… “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Yeah that never works out.

The trios sort out and The Violent Artist starts against The Technical Beast. The bell rings, Woods shoves Kyle so Kyle shoves back. Kyle avoids a boot, Woods blocks a kick but Kyle ROCKS him! Kyle ducks a kick, headlocks, but Woods powers up to headlock takeover! ARMBAR! Kyle moves around, stacks, TWO, but Kyle has the ARMBAR! Woods fights to get a KNEEBAR, but then Kyle has an ANKLE LOCK! Woods grabs the ROPEBREAK! Kyle lets off slowly. Kyle eggs Woods on, they reset and tie up, and then Woods kicks low! Woods fires forearms, brings Kyle over to RAM into the corner, then he tags Nese.

The Premier Athletes mug Woods, Nese headlocks, but Kyle powers out. Nese RUNS Kyle over, then fires up as he builds speed. Kyle drops down, then kitchen sink knees! Tag to Hologram and the fans fire up more! Kyle whips Nese, Hologram DROPKICKS Nese down! Kyle intercepts Daivari, then he and Hologram DOUBLE SNAP SUPLEX! Then STANDING MOONSAULT KNEE DROP COMBO! The fans fire up with Hologram, and he drags Nese up. Hologram CHOPS in the corner and the fans fire up! Hologram whips corner to corner, Nese reverses, and then runs in. Hologram dodges, goes up and over, then goes out and around!

The fans fire up as Hologram just keeps leading Nese on the cat ‘n’ mouse! Up, around, and GAMANGIRI! The fans are thunderous, and Hologram climbs up! Nese staggers over, Hologram tightrope MISSILE DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Nese survives but Hologram drags him up. Hologram wrenches an arm, tags Kyle, and Kyle takes the handoff, only for Nese to ROCK Kyle! Kyle ROCKS Nese, Nese ROCKS Kyle, repeat! Nese throat chops and the ref reprimands. Nese runs, into a KNEE! Kyle snapmares Nese, but Sterling gets on the apron! Kyle storms up but Sterling says he hasn’t done anything yet!

The Conglomeration protests, the ref stops them from getting in, and Woods CLOBBERS Kyle! The fans boo as now Sterling and The Premier Athletes stomp away on Kyle! Rocky storms up and Sterling runs away! The fans rally for Kyle while Collision goes picture in picture.

Rocky coaches Kyle up, but Nese runs Rocky off. Kyle rolls into the ring, Nese slides in after him. Nese stomps Kyle to keep him from The Conglomeration. Nese bumps Kyle off buckles, tags Daivari, and they mug Kyle with haymakers! The ref counts, The Premier Athletes let off, and Daivari snapmares Kyle into a chinlock. Kyle endures as Daivari grinds him down. Kyle fights up as the fans rally, and he fires body shots. Daivari CLUBS Kyle, then turns him for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Kyle stays in this, but Daivari drags Kyle up. Daivari whips Kyle hard into the corner! Daivari stomps Kyle, then tags Nese.

The Premier Athletes mug Kyle more, then taunt the fans, while Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and Nese digs his knees into Kyle in the corner. Nese drags Kyle up but Kyle fights towards his corner! The fans rally, but Nese knees low! Nese CLUBS Kyle, DECKS Mark, then taunts Hologram. But Kyle fires a strike fest! KNEE! Hot tag to Hologram! He slingshots in, SOBATS Nese, then kicks, whips, only for Nese to reverse. Hologram slides under, handsprings, but Nese moves aside! Hologram rolls through, then ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Nese staggers up, runs up, but Hologram blocks a shot to wrench, hammerlock, and clinch! SWINGING SLAM! Cover, TWO! Nese stays in this but Sterling is freaking out!

Hologram stands Nese up, but Nese waistlocks. Hologram elbows free, runs, but Daivari gets a cheap shot in! Nese WHEEL KICKS Hologram! The fans boo but Nese tags Woods. Woods hurries, but Hologram still hot tags Briscoe! The fans fire up as the Chicken runs up, dodges Woods, and UPPERCUTS Daivari! CHOp for Woods! Repeat! The fans fire up as the forearms keep flying! REDNECK KUNG-FU UPPERCUT! Daivari kicks and whips, but Mark BOOTS Nese! Mark then dodges Daivari, CHOPS him, whips him at Woods, but Daivari reverses. Mark SPALSHSE Woods, then clinches Daivari for an EXPLODER!

The fans are thunderous as Mark runs in, but Woods KNEES him away! Woods runs up, but Mark fireman’s carries! ROLLING DEATH VALLEY! And Mark goes up the corner! But Sterling gets on the apron again! So Rocky YANKS him down! Sterling begs for mercy, Azucar says okay. So Hologram DIVES onto Sterling! Mark leaps, Woods dodges! Woods comes back, but into a wrench and kick! Underhooks and JAY DRILLER!! Cover, Conglomeration wins!

Winners: Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Hologram, by pinfall

The ROH World Champion scores the game winner! Will no one stop The Conglomeration from continuing on their triumphant journey? Will The Premier Athletes learn to rely on those top tier talents of theirs and not Sterling?

MXM Collection speak.

Mansoor & Mason Madden wait, then POSE! And Mansoor says just last night, they promised an extreme makeover of Max Caster’s jacket. Mason says that is what they have done! They hold up the garment bag by its coat hanger. Wanna see what’s inside? Wanna see Mansoor pull this zipper all the way down? Wanna see them whip it out right now? BUT NO! Mansoor zips it back up and almost clips Mason’s (finger) tip. MXM’s Magnum Opus can’t come so soon. That would be premature. Exactly one week from tonight, Collision Grand Slam, Arthur Ashe Stadium, MXM Collection presents the Grand Slam Finale to New York Fashion Week.

And get your Acclaimed ready, because Max Caster’s new jacket will be the star of the show! And it will be something everyone actually loves. MXM laugh and touch tips, but just what have they down to the best jacket of The Best Wrestler Alive?

Mariah May VS Lady Frost!

The Glamour says she still wants Mina, but she will be getting Yuka Sakazaki at Grand Slam, and she is getting the Coolest Wrestler You Know here tonight! Will Mariah freeze up in Springfield? Or will Frost be crying “MAYDAY!” after this Collision?

The bell rings and Mariah doesn’t even take Frost seriously. The fans rally for Frost, but Mariah waves hi to Nigel on commentary. Nigel has to back up before he falls out of his seat! But Frost rolls Mariah up! TWO! Frost trips Mariah, jackknife bridge, TWO! Frost tilt-o-whirls to a stack, TWO! Mariah is upset, she swings, but Frost dodge! Mariah dodges the handspring to ROCK Frost! Mariah scoops and MARIAH-GO-ROUND! Cover, ONE!! Frost is tougher than that spin cycle, but Mariah smirks. Mariah bumps Frost off buckles again and again and again! Then she digs her boots in! The ref counts, Mariah lets off, and she soaks up the heat.

Frost sputters, Mariah smiles and blows another kiss to Nigel. Mariah runs, but Frost skins the cat up top! Mariah CHOPS her anyway! Mariah positions Frost just right, CHOPS her again, then runs up for some STRATUSFACTION! Then a SHOTGUN! Frost ends up in the other corner, Mariah winks and flirts through the camera. Mariah runs corner to corner, but into a BOOT! And then another BOOT! Cartwheel and BLINDSIDE SHOTGUN! Frost fires up and the fans are with her! Frost goes up and up, Mariah stands, into the SKY TWISTER! Cover, TWO! Frost keeps cool, the fans rally, and Frost fires forearms!

Frost cartwheels to Alabama Lift but Mariah slips free. Frost bobs ‘n’ weaves, feints the kick, then DOUBLE CHOPS Mariah! Frost runs, wheelbarrows, but Mariah says no to that! GERMAN SUPLEX! Mariah grins, but Frost rises! To GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up as both women rise, and Mariah HEADBUTTS! Frost wobbles but so does Mariah! Mariah then runs to KNEE Frost down! Mariah roars, reels Frost in, STORM ZERO!! Cover, Mariah wins!

Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall

The AEW Women’s World Champion continues to parody Toni Storm, but she made it through the Frost. Will she tear down the Wrestling Magical Girl as well? Or will we have a new champion before Mariah ever gets to properly celebrate?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision: Grand Slam!

After the chaos on last Wednesday Night Dynamite, The Conglomeration is going to settle things with The Learning Tree once and for all! Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe & Kyle O’Reilly take on Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey in a TORNADO TRIOS MATCH! Will Freshly Squeezed and friends finally cut down all the Branches? Or is there no escaping the Jericho Vortex?

Backstage interview with Willow Nightingale.

Lexy Nair is with The Babe with the Power, and says we haven’t seen her in AEW since the brutal defeat by Kris Statlander at All Out. How is she doing? Still in a lot of pain, her back is tight, but hey, at least she doesn’t have to deal with Stokely Hathaway anymore, so silver lining to the loss. But in all seriousness, life is full of ups and downs, and she is just moving forward. And she is so excited to hear her friend, Yuka Sakazaki, is going after the title. But then in steps Deonna Purrazzo & Taya Valkyrie. The Virtuosa says Willow must not understand the implications of the word, “Friend.” Because if Willow did, she would’ve been there for Yuka on Wednesday.

If Willow had any sense of loyalty, she wouldn’t just be watching Grand Slam closely, she’d be in Yuka’s corner. But if Willow isn’t willing to do that, they are. Deonna then tells Yuka through the camera that she is offering protection. She is going to show Yuka the generosity she has shown Taya. This is the biggest match of Yuka’s career. Deonna may be from New Jersey, but her connections run strong in New York. Um, Willow’s actually from New York, so… Taya steps in and asks if Willow is insulting them by interrupting them. Taya will enter Willow’s state and kick her ass! Willow has an idea, and one that the fans here in Massachusetts will love!

Friday Night Rampage, Willow VS Taya 1v1! Taya says alright, fine! Taya storms off, Deonna smirks, but is Willow getting herself in trouble with the wrong ones?

The Acclaimed speak.

Billy Gunn tells MXM to listen. Max Caster says, “Takin’ jacket without askin’ me? That’s so dastardly! It’s so brash to me. You himbos walk around like Fashion Week, lookin’ like you shop on Temu, your fashion’s weak! You get a jacket, you’re jackin’ our style up. Doin’ finger stuff to get the crowd riled up. Of course they were checkin’ the vibe, they wanna dress like the Best Wrestler Alive! And that’s a mic drop!” Anthony Bowens says “That’s right! MXM, it’s time to nut up or shut up. Because EVERYONE Loves The Acclaimed!” Platinum Max, The Five Tool Player & Daddy Ass have put MXM on notice, will they give the jacket back before it’s too late?

Darby Allin VS Evil Uno w/ Alex Reynolds!

Speaking of ultimatums, The Relentless One gave one to Player One, and now they go 1v1, but Alex Reynolds is still by Uno’s side. Will Darby be ready to go wild against The Maniac after he and Uno fight it out?

The bell rings, the fans rally, and Reynolds slithers in. Darby stares him down, but Uno DECKS Darby! Uno drags Darby up, Darby fights but Uno RAMS him into a corner! Uno CHOPS, CLUBS and repeat! The fans fire up but the ref counts so Uno lets off. But then Uno DECKS Darby again! Reynolds steps in again, the ref stops him, and that lets Uno take off his belt! Uno LASHES Darby with it! The fans are torn while Darby writhes. The ref notices the belt now, though! Uno says okay, he’ll put it down. But then Darby hops on! CODE RED! Uno bails out, Darby builds speed, and Darby DIVES! Direct hit into railing!

Darby glares at Reynolds, CLAWS at Uno’s mask, and he rains down fists! Darby dribbles Uno off railing, then snarls as he storms around. Darby drags Uno up by his mask, but again Reynolds gets closer! Uno takes advantage and trips Darby up! Uno rolls into the ring, argues with the ref, but Reynolds CLOBBERS Darby! The fans boo this unofficial Handicap Match but Reynolds talks a lot of trash. Uno storms out, and runs up, to CANNONBALL Darby again the steel steps! And then he throws Darby into the other steps! Darby staggers up, and Uno POUNCES him into railing! Uno is seething a he storms up on Darby.

Uno puts Darby in, runs up and BOOTS him down! Uno drags Darby up, reels him in, and hits a PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! The fans rally as Darby survives, but Uno mockingly asks if this is what he wanted. Uno drags Darby up, reels him in, and hooks him up for SOMETHING- NO, Darby slips free, BACK2BACKBREAKER, into the BULLY CHOKE! That’s Moxley’s favorite hold! Uno fights up, but Darby wrangles him back down! Uno endures, fights, but Darby squeezes tight! Uno still gets the ROPEBREAK! Darby lets off, just to throw hands! Darby RIPS the mask, and BITES Uno’s face! Reynolds distracts, Uno runs and BUCKLE BOMBS Darby!

Uno clinches, FLATLINER! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and Uno argues with the ref. Darby goes to the apron, Uno drags him up, but Darby CLAWS Uno’s eyes! The ref counts, Darby CLUBS and sunset flips, but Reynolds helps Uno stay up! Darby lets off, runs and dodges Uno to DIVE onto Reynolds! The fans fire up, Darby LASHES Reynolds with that belt! And again! And again! Uno runs out to CANNONBALL but only gets floor! Darby hurries up, and up, and he SUPER COFFIN DROPS! Down goes Uno and the fans fire up! Darby drags Uno into the ring while the fans rally, and Darby goes up again! COFFIN DROP!! Cover, Darby wins!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall

That was most certainly a fight, and Uno certainly brought that fire, but Darby is just that much wilder. Will he be too much even for Jon Moxley? Or is Darby going to lose his shot at the AEW World Championship?

AEW shares footage from after Dynamite.

Renee Paquette was with both Jeff & Karen Jarrett, and brings up Double J vowing that if it’s the last thing he does in his career, he will end Hangman Page. Things are escalating, and that’s clear by Jarrett’s foul mood. Jarrett says he is sick of it! Renee wants to ask Karen, wife to wife, she doesn’t want Jeff to take on Hangman. Of course not! Hangman is literally- Jeff says Hangman heard him loud and clear! He said somehow, someway, somewhere, so why not make that New York City and Grand Slam in Arthur Ashe! Hangman wants to talk about taking down those who stood in Hangman’s way? Then how about we get all those people down in the ring!

Let’s do it the Last Outlaw way! Jarrett VS Hangman. Jarrett doesn’t need to beat Hangman’s ass 1-2-3. He just has to beat Hangman’s brains out and get him outta the ring! What Jarrett wants, that’s right, Hangman! Jarrett slaps the wall with a strap, because it will be a LUMBERJACK STRAP MATCH!! Eight guys waiting outside that ring, from Dark Order to Bang Bang Gang, to Conglomeration and Jarrett’s boys, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh! All eight of those men, and then a four foot long, four inch wide leather strap! No syringes, no cinderblocks. They do it the way Jarrett was brought up! His favorite of all was a strap to beat someone’s back ’til the flesh was coming off ’em!

Jarrett says he has had it with Hangman, and his derangement, his ego. So Wednesday night, it is all going down! And with God as Jarrett’s witness, he whoops Hangman’s freakin’ ass!! The Last Outlaw is ready for one last ride, will he be riding off into the sunset? Or will the Black Hat Cowboy put Jarrett out to pasture?

Queen Aminata VS Serena Deeb!

Given the tag team match alongside Yuka Sakazaki and Mariah May did not settle a thing, the One True African Woman and The Professor need to handle this themselves! Will Aminata prove she doesn’t need any of Serena’s lessons? Or will there be no mercy in Deeb’s Dojo?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Aminata powers Deeb back and hard! They fall to the mat, the ref counts as they’re still in ropes, and Aminata lets go. Deeb bails out to the apron, but Aminata keeps her eyes on her. Deeb steps back in, resets with Aminata, then headlocks. Deeb shifts to a hammerlock, then headlock, then another spin, and another. Deeb then hits the takeover, but Aminata headscissors. Deeb kips free, Aminata reverses the roles by hitting the takeover. Deeb headscissors, Aminata moves around, and she pops free. Deeb gets away, and the fans applaud this opening exchange.

Aminata and Deeb reset, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Deeb drops, rolls, kicks one arm then wrangles Aminata with the other. Deeb isolates that arm to STOMP it! The fans rally but Deeb headlocks. Aminata powers up and out, but Deeb RAMS her! Aminata doesn’t move and the fans fire up. Deeb runs, Aminata drops down, and then Aminata runs up, only for hip toss to become arm-drag! Deeb then uses that to get the legs, and a SEATED SURFBOARD! Aminata endures as Deeb rocks the boat! Deeb lets go, waits on Aminata, and the fans rally up. Deeb runs in, and she LARIATS in the corner! Deeb whips corner to corner, but Aminata goes up and over!

Deeb soaks up cheers and jeers, drags Aminata to a corner, then CHOPS! Deeb brings Aminata around to UPPERCUT, then UPPERCUT again! Aminata pushes back, but Deeb kicks low! Deeb scuffs Aminata, Aminata goes to a corner, but Deeb is on her again. Deeb whips, drops down, then ELBOWS Aminata! Cover, TWO! Deeb clamps onto Aminata with a neck wrench! Aminata endures, Deeb shifts to have a chinlock, but Aminata fights up. Aminata fires body shots, then ROCKS Deeb! Aminata runs, but Deeb CLOBBERS her! Cover, TWO! Aminata’s natural talent shined tonight, but Deeb proved Aminata still has a lot to learn. Will Aminata reconsider Deeb’s offer? Or is The Professor on her way towards a title opportunity with no looking back?

Backstage interview with The Outcasts.

Renee is now with Saraya & Harley Cameron, and brings up the challenge to Jamie Hayter for Grand Slam: Collision. It will be the first ever “Saraya’s Rules Match.” Saraya says no no no, it has been in her family’s wrestling for generations. Everyone across England knows this match type! Then enlighten us. Um, sure. Harley, the list. Harley brings a paper out of her boot, and unfolds it. Rule One: There are no rules, aside from the following. Rule Two: You cannot use weapons, unless you are Saraya. Rule Three: You must obey the 10 count, unless you are Saraya. Rule Four: No biting, choking, clawing, closed fists, hair pulling or groin kicking, unless you are Saraya.

Rule Five: NO… hammerlocks. Saraya never liked those anyway. Rule Six: No outside interference, unless you are a friend of Saraya’s. Rule Seven: No ropebreaks, unless you are Saraya. Rule Eight: The match must begin with offense from Saraya. Rule Nine: Jamie Hayter is a slag. That’s not even- Rule Ten: The winner receives an autographed copy of Saraya’s autobiography, available for preorder now. Yes, straightforward, isn’t it? “So, Jamie, baby girl, make sure you learn those rules, okay?” Harley then eats the paper so as to… Oh whatever, she’s crazy. But so are these rules! Does Hayter stand a chance with this deck stacked against her?

Backstage interview with Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara.

Lexy congratulates them on retaining the ROH World Tag Team Championships, and Dustin thanks Sammy. Sammy thanks Dustin, and Dustin says Sammy is one of the greatest tag team partners he’s ever had. The Spanish God & The Natural are Bunkhouse Kings. Sammy says it is an honor to tag with Dustin. Both men have had setback after setback in their careers, but it is nights like tonight that make it all worth it. They can be down on their luck one day and turn it all around. And heck, this is #DustinTwoBelts! Sammy is motivated, he wants a second belt! He is issuing a challenge!

Sammy wants a match for Grand Slam. It’ll be a Title Eliminator against KAZUCHIKA OKADA! Continental Rules! And while Okada’s one of the best, Sammy’s gonna do his best to beat him. And by Heaven’s chance that Sammy does, Sammy will then get to challenge Okada for the Continental Championship on the Dynamite Anniversary Show! Sammy had the very first match on Dynamite, and five years later, Sammy is ready to beat Okada for a title. Dustin asks Sammy, how many times has he been knocked down. More times than he can count. And how many times has he gotten up? Every single time!

Dustin says Sammy has more heart and soul than half this roster. Dustin believes in Sammy, and Sammy just has to go crazy and have fun. Hell yeah! They fist bump, will The Sons of Texas soon become a Two Man Power Trip? Or will The Rainmaker make it rain on Sammy’s parade?

El Toro Blanco makes a powerful return to AEW, and surely Don Callis is somewhere happy to see this. Will Callis still convince Rush to make the Family tranquilo?

Serena Deeb speaks.

“Are we done talking about all the people that aren’t even here tonight? Why don’t we talk about the people that are? Why don’t we talk about The Professor? And how The Professor, tonight on Collision, beat the hell out of Queen Aminata, just like I said I would. Now let’s fast forward, the Dynamite fifth-year anniversary is coming up, and I’ve been hearing rumblings that a certain DMD is thinking about popping her head in. Well, Britt. You’re gonna be there, and The Professor is gonna be there, so it only makes sense that we have a match. I’ll propose this to you now, and I’ll wait for your answer.

“But Britt, it’s only if you’re down to get your ass beat in your own hometown.” Deeb smiles, will The Doctor be more than ready to fight in #Brittsburgh?

Nigel McGuinness is on stage.

Wearing a “BRYAN FEARS NIGEL” shirt, holding a mic, he tells the world, “A week and a half ago on Dynamite, the world saw me challenge Bryan Danielson to face me at Arthur Ashe Stadium. And true to form, the American Coward, Benign Danielson, has refused to answer my challenge. The AEW World Champion, a representative for this company. How pathetic! And what’s even worse is this clam digger, hiding behind this fake injury, when the truth of the matter is… Bryan FEARS Nigel!” Nigel says if Bryan isn’t gonna do it for Nigel, or for himself, or even for his family, assuming they aren’t embarrassed of him anymore… You should do it for the fans!”

The fans do cheer that, and Nigel says the truth is, while the fans all cheer Bryan, they identify with NIGEL! And if you deny Nigel, then you deny the fans! Schiavone speaks up, and says this needs to be said. He has been working alongside Nigel for the past year as broadcast partners, and Schiavone has heard all the things Nigel has said about Bryan each and every week, every single broadcast. And Schiavone knows what Nigel is trying to do here, what he is trying to do to Bryan. Bryan feels the fans are the reason he continues to fight. Nigel’s claims are ridiculous! Bryan Danielson is NOT afraid of Nigel McGuinness, and everyone here would agree!

Schiavone says Bryan is not yet cleared to wrestle! If he was, he would get in the ring with Nigel right now! We find out at Grand Slam IF Bryan is cleared, but it is not about being afraid. Schiavone will say this about Bryan. Schiavone has been part of pro-wrestling for the better part of five DECADES. Bryan Danielson is the greatest professional wrestler I have ever seen, I have ever called, in my career.” Nigel has Schiavone stop, and says Schiavone has to be one of the luckiest SOBs Nigel has ever seen. Because if ANYBODY ELSE had said those words, spitting on Nigel’s soul, he’d be knocking their head off!

Nigel tells Schiavone not to tempt fate. If he has an ounce of respect left for Nigel, then he better go sit down and shut up! The fans boo but Schiavone goes back to the desk. Nigel says the others might be drinking the #Cowardade, but Nigel’s not. Nigel tells Bryan that he doesn’t care whether Bryan does it for Nigel, for himself, for the family or for all these fans in the world! On Wednesday night, Bryan needs to walk down this ramp, up these steps, and meet Nigel in the middle of this ring for the FINAL CHAPTER of their rivalry!! The fans fire up for that! “Because it is MY DESTINY!!

“Ever since I had retired, I have told anyone who would listen…! Shouting at the moon! Like a lunatic! Saying I was as good as you, Bryan!!” The fans start booing now, but Nigel says nobody, NOBODY, listened! NOBODY believed! And why would they? Because the truth of the matter is, there are only two people in the world today who know that what Nigel is saying is true! Those people are Nigel, and Bryan! And that is EXACTLY WHY Bryan has refused ot answer this challenge!! Bryan knows if he shows up in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Nigel will beat Bryan, destroy him, and finally have vindication!!

The fans are torn, but Nigel says once again, Bryan is taking the one thing Nigel deserves. But this time, it doesn’t matter. This time, even if Bryan doesn’t show up, Nigel will be vindicated. Because the world will know why! The ball is still in Bryan’s court! And quite simply, Nigel hopes Bryan chooses Option A and shows up. Because if there is a God in heaven, this will happen!! And if there’s not, well, then may the DEVIL hear Nigel’s prayers!! The ROH icon is as furious as he’s ever been. Will Nigel get one last battle with The American Dragon? Or will he have to settle for a moral victory?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here as a final go-home to the BIG Grand Slam week, though it felt like a talkier episode than usual. Really good promo from Jarrett, though he was maybe playing up his anger a little too much, he was rather haphazard with when he slapped the wall. And a Lumberjack Strap Match combo, with win by ring out, that is definitely old school, not something I’ve ever seen, that will be a lot of fun. Good promo from Willow with Deonna & Taya, though they absolutely ignored Willow losing the CMLL Women’s Championship. Willow VS Taya set for Rampage is good stuff. Now, from how it’s not being called Grand Slam Rampage, I think it’s being taped here in Springfield, as doing FOUR hours on the same night in Arthur Ashe is a lot as it is.

Very good promos from MXM and Acclaimed, and I kinda want this to be like, a ladder match with the jacket hanging up as the prize. But at the same time, the “makeover” will probably be revealed to incite Caster and give us a reason for a match. Great promos to hype matches tonight, too. Darby getting after Uno was good, but as other promos in AEW have gone, it was maybe one statement too long. There are times when less is more. But really good match, with Darby of course winning, even with Reynolds getting involved. And another great promo from Conglomeration, even with Premier Athletes being part of that. But great win for Conglomeration and Hologram to then feed into the Tornado Trios match for Collision next week.

Great promo from The Outcasts to give us “Saraya’s Rules.” I knew they were gonna be biased in Saraya’s favor but those went the extra mile. Saraya is given the opening shot, can do whatever she wants, can have Harley do whatever she wants, etc. so it’ll end up a Handicap Match. Hayter surely still finds a way to win, and she might even move on to the TBS Championship for WrestleDream. Mariah and Mina is of course the given story for the world title, and Mone needs someone to face, so Hayter would make for a great choice. Speaking of Mariah, good match from Mariah VS Frost, and I appreciate there’s this continued flirting from Mariah with Nigel.

Awesome match from Aminata VS Deeb, and a great win for Deeb here. Deeb had a good response promo to the quick Britt Baker tease, and that will be a great match for the anniversary show that can definitely help someone pursue a title. As such, it’ll surely be Britt’s win in Britt’s hometown, and she’ll probably challenge for the world title on the other side of Mariah VS Mina, as I still expect Mariah to retain the title. And if Britt and Hayter are each going for titles, there could be some reference to their past, and they could compete with each other over who gets a title first.

That Bunkhouse Brawl was awesome stuff to open with, and with those tables set up beforehand, it was like they were just appearing outta nowhere to take those spots. I figured Dustin & Sammy would retain, but what a surprise that Sammy wants after Okada and the Continental Championship. I suppose the ROH titles weren’t gonna work out, as Sammy being Face means he isn’t calling out Mark Briscoe or Atlantis Jr, and no sense pivoting to a feud against Shane Taylor Promotions just yet. Plus, Sammy could surely win the Title Eliminator, but then he gives Okada the win back for the Dynamite anniversary show.

That 10 Man Tag was really good stuff, good teamwork on all sides, and it was very smart to have Roddy and Hook take themselves out of the equation so that we can’t really get a read on their FTW Championship match go-home math. But given The Kingdom can help Roddy cheat in an FTW Rules match, I’m leaning towards Roddy just a touch. Great stuff seeing Outrunners use Shatter Machine, that could be a story in itself. But in surprising fashion, it was FTR who took the pin, to Rush! Great way for Rush to return to AEW, I really hope his story with the Don Callis Family gets going again, which would help with Ospreay & Fletcher becoming United Empire again.

And a great promo from Nigel to close the show, but it felt like he was dragging it out for some reason. We were already going into overrun, I don’t think he needed to stretch that much. But I suppose he just wanted to make sure he got all his points across. Great exchange with him and Schiavone, that tension shows how much this match means to Nigel and how Schiavone is kinda voicing a side of the argument that Nigel’s just bitter and keeps taking his jabs. I almost thought we were getting Bryan’s music or a video message from him, but we’ll still just have to wait the “surprise” on Wednesday night. I mean, it’s just standard storytelling for Nigel to think Bryan’s no-showing, then we get Final Countdown, and then we get that killer match.

My Score: 8.8/10

AEW Continental Classic, Gold League: Will Ospreay VS Ricochet!

Wait, are the fans throwing white streamers or is that… No, yeah, it’s toilet paper! Ospreay laughs at the fans basically calling Ricochet crap. Ricochet throws the toilet paper back! The bell rings and we’re on the clock. The fans fire up for Ospreay as he and Ricochet circle. The fans also sing, “F HIM UP, OSPREAY, F HIM UP!” Ricochet shrugs that off, he and Ospreay tie up, and then Ricochet rolls. Ospreay shoots in, waistlocks, but Ricochet switches. They go around, Ricochet gator rolls with Ospreay, then floats to a headlock. Ricochet wrenches, hammerlocks then headlocks again. Ospreay powers up and out, Ricochet runs him over, but Ospreay kips up!

The fans cheer and Ospreay smiles as he and Ricochet reset. They tie up, go around, and Ricochet wrenches to a wristlock. Ospreay rolls, wrenches and wristlocks, but Ricochet spins and wrenches to hammerlock. Ospreay reaches back, headlocks and hits a takeover. Ricochet rolls to a cover, TWO! Ospreay holds onto the headlock but Ricochet powers up and out. Ospreay runs Ricochet over, Ricochet bails out, and then Ospreay handsprings to fake Ricochet out! The fans cheer as Ospreay superhero lands out, and Ricochet is annoyed. Ospreay holds ropes open for Ricochet, but Ricochet goes around the way to step in on his own.

The fans boo Ricochet being a bad sport but Ricochet ignores that. Ospreay and Ricochet knuckle lock, then Ricochet kicks low! And CHOPS! Ricochet whips, Ospreay reverses, but Ricochet rolls off Ospreay’s back! Things keep moving, Ospreay avoids the handspring to then duck ‘n’ dodges and RANA! But Ricochet handsprings through! The fans fire up, and Ospreay arm-drags Ricochet down! The fans cheer while Ricochet endures the grind. Ricochet fights up and puts Ospreay on ropes. The ref counts, Ricochet and Ospreay slowly let g o, and Ricochet SLAPS Ospreay! Ospreay CHOPS Ricochet!

Ospreay takes a swing, Ricochet ducks under to roll back and RANA! But now Ospreay handsprings through! Ricochet dodges to waistlock but Ospreay bucks the O’Conner. Ricochet arm-drags Ospreay down, but Ospreay headscissors back! Ricochet pops free but Ospreay arm-drags! Ricochet headscissors, Ospreay pops free, and Ospreay handsprings, but Ricochet catches him! Ricochet then THROWS Ospreay into the Tree of Woe, and Ospreay falls down! The fans boo while Ospreay bails out, but Ricochet FOSBURY FLOPS! The fans boo but Ricochet takes the toilet paper to wipe himself, then he SMOTHERS Ospreay with it!

The fans boo that literally disgusting act of disrespect, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Ricochet taunts the fans, then drags Ospreay up. Ricochet puts Ospreay in, soaks up more heat, then KNEE-BOARD SENTONS! Ricochet swaggers to taunt the fans more, then he goes back to Ospreay. Cover, ONE!! Another cover, TWO! Ricochet taunts the fans more, then goes back for Ospreay. Ricochet stands Ospreay up to CHOP, and Ospreay goes to a corner. Ricochet RAMS into Ospreay, RAMS him again, then snapmares to UPPERCUT in the back! Cover, TWO! Ospreay stays in this but Ricochet drags him into a motorcycle stretch. Ricochet then clamps on with a chinlock, and he digs his knee into Ospreay’s back. Ospreay endures, even as Ricochet JAMS Ospreay. Collision returns to single picture as the fans rally for Ospreay again. Ospreay fires up, fires hands, but Ricochet RAMS him into a corner. They’re both on the apron and Ospreay goes up a corner. Ricochet anchors Ospreay first! Then Ricochet has the Electric Chair Lift!

Ospreay fights free, fights off a nelson, then he KICKS Ricochet! Ospreay runs, but into a pop-up APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! The fans chant “You Still Suck!” but Ricochet adds a SHOOTING STAR PRESS! The One & Only got away with murder, but there’s nothing that can be done now! Ricochet has NINE points, will he be headed to Worlds End?

Adam Cole heads to the ring!

The fans cheer as the Panama City Playboy returns to the Hammerstein Ballroom, and yes, they join in for the “BOOM~!” and the “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY~!” Cole grabs a mic, but he keeps his eyes on the ramp. That’s because we all know who’s next. MJF makes his entrance, but with a handful of security guards in front of him first. And not even AEW security, that’s his own personal security. MJF grabs a mic and has them cut his music. The fans boo but MJF tells them, “If I wanted your help, I’d ask for it. Sit down and shut up.” The fans tell MJF to STFU, but MJF shrugs that off.

MJF tells Cole that MJF is frustrated. It’s because for the past few months, MJF has had to listen to Cole say MJF is Cole’s biggest enemy! If memory serves, and MJF’s memory always does because unlike the fans here, he isn’t a complete moron… Didn’t Cole turn on MJF? But then does Cole realize he has bigger enemies out there? Like spray tan, cracks in the floor, gusts of win, and maybe… a cavity. Because last MJF heard, Cole’s dentist isn’t seeing him anymore. Cole was already staring daggers into MJF, but now he’s pissed. MJF has Cole calm down, and he tells the fans to shut up so he can shoot straight.

When MJF was the longest-reigning and greatest AEW World Champion of all time, Cole was nothing more than MJF’s cute little sidekick. That ate Cole up inside. Cole wanted to be MJF. Cole wanted #TripleB. But the sad truth is, Cole had many opportunities to win the title before MJF got anywhere near it. It’s almost like when it comes to Cole being elite enough to become world champion, just like his “s*itty little ankle,” Cole blows it. MJF laughs at his own joke, and then tells the fans he is talking, it is not that complicated. But this is why MJF doesn’t buy the hogwash that Cole turned on MJF because MJF would turn on Cole first.

Cole turned because he, like all these shmucks, is jealous of MJF. And who can blame Cole? MJF is rich, handsome, funny, entertaining, and then look at Cole. For crying out loud, Cole used to be ADAM COLE BAYBAY. Now, he’s just a crack baby! Cole asks if MJF is done. Was that the last line? Because it felt like MJF practiced that for two weeks in front of a mirror. But MJF killed it, really. Cole could come back with childish comments to hurt MJF’s feelings, but he won’t. Cole could mention MJF has had two surgeries on that fake head of hair of his while only in his 20s, which is hilarious, but he won’t.

Cole could talk about how MJF pulled some strings to get his girlfriend hired, like the real politician he is, but Cole won’t go there. Cole could talk about how every single time MJF enters a room, everyone waits for him to leave because he is loud, obnoxious and annoying as hell. But Cole won’t go there. Because Cole is not like MJF. They are nothing alike. That is why the friendship was ruined. Because, MJF, the truth is you say Cole is a failure, but in virtually every wrestling company Cole has worked for, he is the longest-reigning champion in so many!

In this very building, Cole bled BUCKETS against Kyle O’Reilly, wanting to prove he was one of the best in the world, and that is exactly what he did! Does Cole have regrets? Sure. Are there things Cole wishes he could take back? Absolutely. But Cole does NOT regret turning on MJF. The only reason it drives MJF insane is because Cole beat MJF to it. That’s MJF 101: Get close to someone, then turn on them. It’s what MJF does. Cole just did it better than MJF, and MJF knows it.

But Cole has been thinking, trying to understand what’s going on in MJF’s head, and he finally figured it out. MJF is terrified of having anyone close to him, because he feels it is a weakness. That hit a chord? Because not only does MJF act like a child, he thinks like a child! MJF knows in his heart that he was going to be the one to turn on Cole first! DAMN RIGHT HE WAS!!! MJF realizes he let the cat out of the bag. MJF says congrats, Cole, he solved the mystery! A regular Scooby-Doo! Great job, Adam.

But you want the truth? Here it is. The fact of the matter is, last year at Worlds End, MJF had every intention on stabbing Cole in the back that night. Cole just got lucky. When #BetterThanYouBaybay started, MJF didn’t give a damn about Cole. Cole was nothing more than a pawn. But MJF will admit, he did eventually start to care. For the first time in MJF’s life, he cared about someone else. Fans mockingly go, “Aww…” But MJF says that is just when Cole became a liability. And since Cole’s “a fragile little freak,” him jumping off that ramp and exploding his ankle made him a distraction!

Distractions, liabilities, emotions, there are no room for those when all you should be concerned with is maintaining the world championship! But Cole doesn’t get it, does he? Last year was a fluke. Cole ain’t the Devil, he just beat the Devil to it. But this year, Worlds End, December 28th, the same show where Cole tried to end MJF’s world, MJF ENDS Cole!! MJF throws down the mic and the fans are torn. Cole smirks and says MJF ends things then? Well, how about Cole ends this? COLE DECKS MJF! The guards rush in, but Cole fights them off! MJF sends more but Cole SUPERKICSK! And SUPERKICKS! And SUPERKICKS!

But then MJF LOW BLOWS Cole! MJF tells the fans to shut up! MJF takes out the Dynamite Diamond Ring! But then The Kingdom rushes out here! MJF runs away from Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, but he vows this ends at Worlds End. We have one week left, is that the last week Cole has in AEW? Or will MJF finally lose the one thing he has left in that diamond ring?

Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.

Lexy Nair is with the #BornAgainKristen and brings up her trying to make amends with Willow Nightingale last night, as well as making the save when Harley Cameron & Penelope Ford were beating Willow up. Kris says what she and Willow have to discuss is between them. But as far as her and Penelope go, they’ve got a lot of history, and if Ford wants a fight, Kris will give her a fight. Then speaking of history, Kris still has her eyes set on the TBS Championship, can she tells us more on that?

Kris says she looked back on 2024 and she had a downward spiral that started with losing that title. Maybe if she wins it back, Kris will right her wrongs. On that note, Mercedes Mone, you don’t have an opponent for Worlds End so here Kris is. Let her know when you’re ready for round two. Kris heads out, will she prove to everyone that she is still the Galaxy’s Greatest?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring!

Schiavone welcomes out the Blue League’s current points leader, Kyle Fletcher, and of course… Don Callis. But they’re not alone as the rest of the Don Callis Family makes their way out to the ring. Wait, shouldn’t Brian Cage be in New York for Final Battle…? Well anyway, Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold and- Callis takes the mic, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans boo and Schiavone excuses himself as Callis says the Don Callis Family are the TRUE One Percenters of professional wrestling! They prove it each and every day!

Murder Machines: The most feared tag team in the world! “Don Callis’ favorite wrestler,” Kyle Fletcher, shows every day why he is THE One Percent! He beat Will Ospreay! He beat Kazuchika Okada! And now, he’s gonna beat Daniel Garcia and win the Continental Classic! Callis hands the mic over to Kyle and Kyle says it might be true that last Saturday wasn’t the best day for Kyle, but anyone watching that match saw the clear bias from the officials in this company! The fans boo as Kyle claims there is an agenda in AEW to see the Don Callis Family NOT succeed. But it doesn’t matter, it changes nothing!

Kyle WILL be the winner of the 2024 Continental Classic. That brings Kyle to Daniel Garcia. “You wanna talk about restoring the feeling, Daniel? I couldn’t care less about your feelings! All I speak are facts! And the fact is, I am the hottest young prospect in this industry, and I will be the future of this whole place!” The fans boo more but Callis says one last thing he wants to say, is when you’re the One Percent, you’re not like the other 99! They are not like all of these fans! They are not like “the boys in the back,” like Mark Davis & Will Hobbs, “a couple of scab workers!” They’re not even in the same business, Hobbs!

And Callis has waited to get Hobbs on a PPV so that the world could watch why they call Konosuke Takeshita “The Alpha.” And Hobbs, YOU are not in the same business as Konosuke, and you find that out at Worlds End! But speaking of, here comes the Powerhouse! Will he and Dunkzilla finish things with the Don Callis Family? Or will the AEW International and ROH World TV Champions get even for last week?

Hug It Out!” Kris says no, she doesn’t feel like it’s the right time. Kris lets Willow have the ring, is this proof that the #BornAgainKristen isn’t just a nickname?

The fans fire up but Brody powers up! Brody THROWS Komander right off! SENTON FLOPS as Komander moves!

Komander hurries to basement DROPKICK! The fans fire up as Brody and Komander both crawl to ropes! They both stand, Brody runs up, but Komander swings around, CRUCIFIX DRIVER! Brody flops out to the floor! Komander sees that and the fans fire up! Komander builds going side to side, and he goes up and up and CROSSBODIES, but Brody catches him! Komander has the fans all fired up as he rises! Komander rolls into the ring, the count is climbing, but Brody is rising! So Komander runs corner to corner to go up, up and AWAY!! Winner: Brody King, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Komander earns 0)

If it wasn’t clear before, this was a painful punctuation mark, Komander is mathematically ELIMINATED from the semifinals. However, Komander’s final C2 match is Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street against Claudio Castagnoli! Can Komander be the biggest spoiler of this entire tournament? Can Brody prove to everyone in the Gold League that the House Always Wins?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here for Holiday Bash, though some clear redundancies from last week’s Winter is Coming edition. We got another group Don Callis Promo, and we barely got anything different from Callis and Kyle. The tag match’s only changes were Cage switching in for Archer, even though Cage is in reality defending his ROH World TV Championship in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, and then the Callis Family wins this time so Hobbs and Konosuke can be even going towards Worlds End. Now, Konosuke could very well retain the International Championship at Worlds End because NJPW is totally open to Konosuke Takeshita VS Shingo Takagi being Winner Takes All, AEW International and NEVER Openweight titles on the line together.

Lio & Action of course won their match, but the real purpose was to get a confrontation out of them, Private Party and OG Top Flight, Darius & Dante. Good stuff, and it teases anywhere between a Triple Threat to Lio & Action VS Darius & Dante Round 2. Very good promo from Triple J to set up for something, anything really, for 2025. Fight for the Fallen can even be the start of whatever that plan is as part of the “mother of all streams.” And good stuff with the women’s division tonight. Ford & Harley makes a natural duo now given their names, and Willow and Kris could possibly reunite now that Kris is a Face again. That wouldn’t really make up for the weird fumble in the middle where Tony Khan just wanted Kris to get away from Stokely, but hey, this story itself could be really well done.

And great stuff out of Brody VS Komander, really got the drama going before the end. I mean, we all knew Komander was out of the running before tonight, and was most certainly taking the loss here, but Komander got to really show some grit. And now, five people at 6 points going into the final round, they’re really adding great drama to Gold League. Collision tomorrow and then Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street will be some great stuff, but I still think Ospreay should be one of the semifinalists, the second spot can be whoever they want.

My Score: 8.8/10
