Samoa Joe & Hook VS Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian w/ The Patriarchy!
The Samoan Submission Machine made his return with Homecoming last week, and he easily put The Patriarchy’s Prodigy in his place! But now, he and the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil look to manhandle both of Christian Cage’s “sons.” Will Nick & Kip pay for the sins of their father figure?
The teams sort out and Hook starts against Nick. The bell rings, the fans rally behind “HOOK! HOOK!” while he and Nick circle. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Nick uses his height for leverage. Nick puts Hook in a corner, scuffs him with forearms to the face, then eggs Hook on. The fans boo but Hook stays cool. Hook and Nick reset, tie up, and Hook wrenches to a hammerlock. Hook headlocks, hammerlocks, headlocks again, and hits the takeover! Nick keeps his shoulders up, rolls Hook away, then kicks low. Nick headlocks back but Hook powers up and out. Nick runs Hook over, then flexes. The fans boo but Nick drags Hook up.
Hook gets under Nick to hit an EXPLODER! Tag to Joe and the fans fire up! Joe grins as he brings Nick up, but Nick scrambles away! Tag to Kip and Mr. Superbad eggs Joe on. They tie up, Joe powers Kip to a corner, but the ref has to back him up. Kip gets a sucker punch in! Kip fires off, then whips, but Joe reverses. Joe runs in, Kip slips out to then GAMANGIRI! Kip springboards, trips up a bit, but Joe still casually steps aside for Kip to belly flop. Joe then SENTONS! Kip sputters, Joe drags him up and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Hook, and Joe whips Kip to a corner. Hook runs in to CLOBBER Kip! Joe adds a BACK ELBOW, then PELE!
The fans fire up, Christian is upset, but Hook covers, TWO! Hook drags Kip up, clinches, but Kip fires elbows. Kip spins things around to whip Hook, and Nick gets a shot in! The ref reprimands, Hook takes a swing, but Nick runs away. Kip runs up but Hook fires fists first! Hook runs, but Nick trip shim up! The ref reprimands but Kip hauls Hook up, FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, but Joe distracts the ref! The fans cheer but The Patriarchy is upset! Turnabout is fair play, though. Kip puts Hook in a corner, stomps him, then tags Nick. Nick stomps Hook, digs his knee in, but steps off as the ref counts.
Nick argues with the ref, talks trash on Joe, and that lets Kip CHOKE Hook! The fans boo, Nick gets a shot in, but then the ref reprimands. Kip claims he was stretching his legs! Nick snapmares Hook for a LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Hook is still in this but Nick is still cocky. Nick taunts Hook to go reach for Hook, then he whips Hook to the corner. Hook slumps down, Nick tags Kip, and The Patriarchy boys mug Hook. Kip fires a forearm, then brings Hook out to scoop and SLAM! Kip flexes, the fans boo, but Hook crawls. Kip kicks Hook, brings him over to the corner, then tags in Nick. They mug Hook some more, then snapmares Hook to rain down fists!
Nick clamps onto Hook with a seated Cobra Twist! The fans rally up while Hook endures, and Hook slips his arms free. Hook fires body shots, then runs, but Nick ELBOWS him down! The fans boo but Nick taunts Joe. Cover, TWO! Hook is tougher than that, but Nick stands him up for haymakers. Nick tags Kip, they mug Hook even more, and the fans boo. Kip brings Hook around to snapmare and chinlock. Hook endures again as Kip thrashes Hook around. The fans rally, Hook fights up, but Nick tags in. The Patriarchy continues to mug Hook, then Kip tags back in. But Hook fires body shots on them both!
Kip kicks low, he and Nick double whip, atomic drop and UPPERCUT! Cover, TWO! Nick keeps Hook down, brings him up, and whips him to the corner. Nick runs in and UPPERCUTS, then tag to Kip! Kip taunts Joe, runs in at Hook, CANNONBALL! Tag back to Nick and they hook Kip, DOUBLE FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Hook survives and Nick grows frustrated. Joe coaches Hook up, the fans rally, but Nick kicks and stomps Hook around. Nick brings Hook up, but Hook clinches! TAZ PLEX!! The fans fire up while both men are down! Hook and Nick crawl, hot tags to Kip and Joe! The fans fire up as Joe rallies with elbows and forearms!
Joe TOSSES Nick out, then CHOPS away on Kip! Joe whips Kip corner to corner, runs in, but Kip dodges! Kip returns, but into the URENAGE! Joe hauls Kip back up, puts him on the top rope, and then tucks him in! The fans fire up for the MUSCLE BUSTER! Cover, Joe & Hook win!

And with that, this duo stays undefeated! But then Christian & Nick attack from behind! Christian even uses the Casino Gauntlet contract clipboard to beat Joe down! Then they mug Hook! Christian puts Joe’s head against the metal folder, and then STOMPS him on it!! The fans boo as Christian holds up the even-further dented folder up in his hands. Will no one stop The Patriarchy from becoming the reigning, defending, undisputed next AEW World Champion?
Adam Copeland speaks.
“So what’s your plan, Moxley? I don’t know. Our audience doesn’t know. Everyone seems to be confused. Hell, I don’t think you know. I think you’re one of those guys who just likes to shout at clouds and look around and blame everyone else. You’re a malcontent. I’ve met a lot of malcontents over the years and they all annoy me. Because they bitch and whine and moan and piss and complain about how this needs change, that needs change. But they refuse to look in the mirror and realize they’re the recurring theme. So Moxley, can you do that? Can you do that, kid? Can you look in a mirror and realize you’re the one that always seems to be here?

The menacing minotaur has been putting in the hard work, chasing after gold but is still just outside the picture. Will this be the night Mortos makes it out of the labyrinth and to the mountaintop? Or will he be exorcised by Alabama’s Priest?
The bell rings, Mortos runs right up and runs Priest right over! Then runs him over again! Then SMACKS him to a corner! Mortos whips Priest to a corner but Priest BOOTS in return! Priest CHOPS and fires forearms on repeat! But Mortos grabs him with both hands, whips him to ropes, then POP-UP SAMOAN DROPS him! The fans fire up with Mortos, then he DISCUS LARIATS! Mortos isn’t done, he pump handles and PILEDRIVERS!! Cover, Mortos wins!

Fast and furious, Mortos sent Priest to #DestinationHellHole! Will Mortos’ next destination be- Wait, what? Max Caster is making his entrance? New theme song now that he’s no longer Acclaimed, Platinum Max is ruining Mortos’ time to shine. Caster has a mic to tell Huntsville that they are lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive! Caster wants Mortos to calm down. Mortos did a great job just now! But he would never stand a chance against the Best Wrestler Alive, Platinum Max! So he will show us how it’s done. This is the first match in his Open Challenge series, but no no no, he doesn’t want to fight Mortos.
Caster doesn’t know who’s gonna walk out here, who he’s gonna beat today, but we find out one thing: We find who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive! Now get out of HIS ring! The bell rings and the fans rally for Rush. Caster is wary, but he wants to show respect with an Ingobernable fist bump. Rush says nope! He rushes up, Caster dodges, but Rush comes back with a SUPERMAN FOREARM! Rush then CHOPS Caster, stomps away in the corner, then stands on Caster’s shoulders! The ref counts, Rush drags Caster up to whip him corner to corner and SPLASH! Rush sits Caster down again to stomp away! Rush scuffs Caster, runs corner to corner, then “If you mess with the bull… YOU GET THE HORNS!” BULL’S HORNS!! Cover, Rush wins!

Truth headlocks, Jericho powers up and out, but Turbo tags in!
Truth KICKS Jericho, Turbo hoists Jericho up for a Manhattan drop! Truth gives Jericho an atomic drop! Keith runs in, he gets a DOUBLE ATOMIC DROP, and he stumbles into Jericho! The fans cheer as Turbo tags Truth, and the Outrunners whip Jericho. Jericho stops the double hip toss! Keith runs up, The Outrunners use Jericho to BACKDROP him! Then they DOUBLE HIP TOSS after all! The fans cheer as Turbo then LARIATS Keith up and out! Jericho runs in, but Truth DUMPS Jericho out of the ring! The fans cheer as The Outrunners spin and flex. Big Bill checks his guys, but Truth goes out to CHOP Jericho!

Jericho waves to Huntsville again, then stomps Truth as he gets in the ring. Jericho kicks Truth to a corner, grabs the legs, and he ROPE GUILLOTINES Truth with the catapult! Truth sputters but Jericho brings him around to tag Keith. They mug Truth, and Keith CLAWS Truth’s eyes! The ref reprimands but Keith DECKS Truth! Truth reaches out blindly, ends up in an open corner, but Keith CHOPS him! Truth sputters against ropes, but he CHOPS in return! Keith ROCKS Truth, Truth stumbles, and Keith brings him up. Jericho mocks the fans that he can’t hear them, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns as Keith anchors Truth’s legs! Keith drags Truth back, Truth kicks him away, Keith tags Jericho, and Truth hot tags Turbo! The fans fire up as Turbo rallies with big haymakers! Turbo scoops Jericho to SLAM him! Then he scoops Keith to SLAM him! Turbo scoops Truth to SLAM him onto Keith! Then he and Truth wind it up, “Turbo Floyd! You sonova-” NO, Keith CLOBBERS Truth! Turbo TOSSES Keith, goes back for Jericho, but Jericho trips him! Jericho turns Turbo, for the WALLS OF JERICHO! The fans boo but Turbo endures, even as Jericho sits deep! Turbo powers up as the fans rally, and he turns back over!
Turbo throws hands from below, KICKS Jericho away, Keith tags in! Keith BOOTS Turbo down, but Truth DROPKICKS Keith! Jericho is back up, he goes up and “Hi, Guys~!” RANA! But Turbo kicks Jericho to suplex and SLAM! The fans fire up but Keith is back! Turbo scoops and SLAMS him next to Jericho! And now Truth says, “Turbo Floyd! You sonova b*tch!” Handshake and DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! The fans fire up as Keith flounders up, into the scoop and TOTAL- NO, Bill trips Truth! Bill TOSSES Truth, Keith cradles Turbo, LEARNING TREE WINS!

Bandido runs in, ducks ‘n’ dodges Bill to then DUMP Bill out! The fans fire up as Bandido WRECKS Bill with a dropkick, and goes up the corner! TORNILLO QUEBRADA on Jericho! But now Keith attacks! The fans boo, but Keith whips. Bandido reverses and POPS Keith right into a military press! Bandido THROWS Keith down through the table! The fans fire up as Bandido is back, back again! But will he look to take the ROH World Championship from The Nueve?
AEW hears from Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe.
The Aussie Arrow says, “AEW is on the road to Grand Slam: Australia. But before we get there, there is one wrong I would like to right.” The Sussex County Chicken says he came out of 2024 “on fire, baby. Got three wins in the Continental Classic, one of those being Kyle Fletcher.” Kyle says if not for that fluke, he would’ve been undefeated in Blue League! Mark says all he’s hearing is that it was a fluke. Kyle says if there were no time limit or points on the line, that victory would never have happened. Mark says he beat Kyle in December, he can beat his ass in January, February, March, April, and so on!
Kyle will prove he has no ceiling and why he is the future of this industry! Kyle hopes Mark brings his best, because there will be no repeat. Next week, Collision in Houston, will The Protostar be able to #ManUp and take Briscoe down?
Backstage interview with Kazuchika Okada.
Lexy is now with The Rainmaker, and says after his AEW Homecoming victory against Komander, what is next for the Continental Champion? Okada thinks, but Buddy Matthews laughs as he walks over. Okada asks what’s so funny, and Buddy says what’s funny is that Okada calls himself a champion when he is too afraid to defend that title. As Okada can see, there’s no Brody King or Julia Hart here, so they can settle their issue right now. Okada laughs now, and says nope. Buddy doesn’t deserve it! Buddy knew Okada would say that. So then, Okada’s still a b*tch. Buddy leaves, Okada again says, “I NO B*TCH!” Okada sees Lexy is still here, and reiterates, “I no b*tch…”
But then, will The Rainmaker put up that title as a fighting champion? Or will he keep avoiding fights he might lose?

The bell rings and the fans rally for Harley, but Taya DROPKICKS her right down! The fans boo but Taya stomps away in the corner! The ref counts, Taya stops to soak up heat, then she stands on Harley! The ref counts, Taya goes corner to corner, METEORA! Taya drags Harley to a cover, ONE!! Harley shows her toughness, but Taya KICKS Harley around. Taya bumps Harley off buckles, CHOPS her, and Deonna is pleased as she watches backstage. Taya whips Harley, but Harley wheelbarrows to arm-drag!
Harley then arm-drags again, runs in at the corner, only for Taya to put her on the apron. Harley ROUNDHOUSES in return, then jumps in, dodges Taya, and comes back with an ENZIGIRI! Taya drops down, Harley covers, TWO! The fans rally for Harley and she brings Taya up. Harley knees low, CLUBS Taya, then whips. Taya reverses, runs up, but Harley ELBOWS her away! Taya stalks Harley, POSTS her, then refreshes the count. Taya pushes Harley into the ring, sits her up, then runs to SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Harley stays in this but Taya stays on her with a KNEE to the back! And another! And another! Taya clamps on a dragon sleeper, throws down some elbows, then cranks on the hold! Harley fights up, fires body shots, but Taya LARIATS her down! Taya grins, then stomps Harley’s legs, and Collision goes to break.

Harley has a bloody nose but she fires forearms on Taya. Harley puts Taya up top while fans chant, “FEEL THE WRATH!” Harley climbs, but Taya fires body shots! Taya slips under Harley and brings her off the corner! SITOUT POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! Harley survives and Taya is furious! Taya drags Harley up, underhooks, but Harley wrenches out to kick low! Harley reels Taya in, for a DESTROYER!! Taya is dazed, Harley pushes Taya to a cover, TWO!!
The fans fire up with Harley and she hurries to a corner. Harley climbs, steadies herself, and then SWANTON FLOPS as Taya moves! Taya runs up to SPEAR! Cover, TWO!! Ghost pin, HARLEY WINS!!!

Exclusive interview with Ricochet.
Renee Paquette sits down with The One & Only, as promised on Dynamite. She brings up how, many times now, he has said there are a lot of things he wants to get off his chest. This is the formal setting he wanted, so what is going on? Ricochet says for the past five YEARS, all he has heard from fans all over the world is that AEW is where Ricochet should be. AEW is where the best wrestle, and this is where Ricochet belongs. Honestly, he heard all of that, saw all the stuff online, and he agreed! He also felt AEW is where he belonged. But he sat back and watched from afar, silently, as he saw the guys he traveled the world with go on to do amazing things here.
Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, The Young Bucks, and even Swerve Strickland. Ricochet knew this is the place to be, the fans agreed. But then what happened? What happened the moment Ricochet got here? All those same fans that lit up his Twitter and Instagram with messages about how he belonged here, they turned their backs on him! Ricochet is THE most innovative wrestler on this planet, and they told him otherwise! He beat their “white knight,” Will Ospreay clean in the middle of the ring. What happened? The fans showered him with toilet paper!
And then on top of that, Swerve, a man Ricochet’s known for 15 years, never seen eye to eye with, a man who was champion the day Ricochet signed here, thought it was cute to mock Ricochet and join in with the mocking. Look what happened to him. Swerve calls himself a man of the people, and that’s fine. Because that is what Ricochet saw when he drove the scissors into the middle of Swerve’s forehead. That attack wasn’t just for Swerve. That was for everybody! Everyone who stood behind Swerve, who sat in the audience, thinking it was okay to mock and embarrass Ricochet! That won’t happen anymore!
Wait! Swerve is here! Swerve says he could end Ricochet’s whole life right now, but he’d be upsetting a lot of people in Atlanta. Swerve tells Renee he can take it from here. Renee excuses herself, and Swerve sits down with Ricochet. If “Trevor” wants to talk, let’s talk! Ricochet is right. Swerve, Ricochet, they don’t see eye to eye. Never have, probably never will. This goes all the way back to Lucha Underground and CZW. In fact, Swerve will never forget the day Ricochet announced he was a free agent. Swerve said not to bring Trevor Mann here. Because AEW has a special gift at exposing people for who they are and what they’re all about.
Ricochet pretended to be a superhero to the people, and they rejected him for it. Swerve was openly the villain, and he go tall the respect for it. In less than a week, in Atlanta, Georgia, Swerve shows Ricochet that there are levels to this. This isn’t gonna be an athletic exhibition or a showcase of innovators. It will be a fight, and Ricochet cannot win in a fight against AEW’s most dangerous man. Ricochet says Swerve is right: Ricochet isn’t good at pretending. Ricochet isn’t good at acting or “cutting a promo” on something he doesn’t believe in, and yeah, the fans could see that every single time that Ricochet pretended to give a damn about what they thought.
Because to be honest, Ricochet never has, and never will. Swerve says he’s the most dangerous man, but ever since Hangman snatched his grill, Ricochet’s not felt a single thing from Swerve. Swerve gets right up in Ricochet’s face, holding Ricochet’s own golden scissors! But Ricochet just stands up in return. Swerve says he’ll see Ricochet in Atlanta. Swerve backs off, will these two burn it down in Hotlanta?

Harley brings out a Mercedes Mone MUPPET?! “Say hello to your C E O!” Harley’s ventriloquism is on display as she has Muppet Mone tell her that she’s had a change of heart. She has? Yes! She wants to wrestle Harley. Really? Yes! And in Australia~! Harley asks if Muppet Mone is sure, and Muppet Mone says yes! Absolutely sure? Yes! She wants to FEEL THE WRATH? Yes, she wants to Feel the Wrath.
Oh! Then yes, absolutely! And now that they’re friends, Harley can probably do something like… use her locker room? Sure! And help herself to whatever is in there? Yes, the coffee, the exotic fruit, all hers. And Mone’s assistant? Now they’re Harley’s assistant! Then let’s do the dance! C E O! C E O! But then the real Mercedes Mone walks in. Kyle says yeah, he gets Garcia and Moriarty in a two-for-one deal. Garcia says the next 10 YEARS belong to him, but what about the title? We find out NEXT!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind “DANNY! DANNY!” Garcia, Lee and Kyle feel things out, and we get a Triple Knuckle Lock. Lee kicks Kyle away to wrench Garcia, but then Kyle wrenches the other arm. Lee wrenches Kyle’s other arm, but then Garcia wrenches Lee’s other arm. Kyle goes for a facelock on Lee but Garcia puts a headlock on Kyle. Lee waistlocks Garcia but Kyle reels Lee into a Cobra Twist! Garcia wrenches Lee’s free arm, Lee slips out and around, but then Kyle facelocks Garcia! Kyle sees Lee with the waistlock so he goes to waistlock Lee. Garcia runs to the corner and brings both guys along!
Garcia goes to buck the O’Conner but it’s only Kyle that lets go. Lee goes after Kyle but Kyle trips him to a cover, ONE! Garcia trips Kyle to a cover, ONE! Lee trips Garcia, Garcia avoids the elbow drop! Lee avoids the Penalty Kick from Kyle! Kyle avoids Garcia’s back elbow, but then Garcia avoids Lee’s lariat! Lee deflects Kyle’s kick, then Garcia deflects Kyle’s kick! These three stand off and the fans fire up! Kyle, Lee and Garcia reset, feel out another knuckle lock, but then Lee KICKS Kyle! Lee DIVES and wipes them both out! The fans fire up and Lee stands on the barriers to flex while Collision goes picture in picture.
Lee drags Kyle up, UPPERCUTS him, then CLUBS him on the neck. Lee snapmares Kyle, then scrapes soles off his face! Lee steps on Garcia’s face, pulls an arm, and drags Garcia up, to send into steel steps! Garcia flounders away, Lee UPPERCUTS Kyle, then goes up to the apron. Lee stands on Kyle’s hand, then stomps it! Lee then whips Kyle, only for Kyle to reverse! Lee hits barriers and sits down. Kyle rallies the fans while he gets space, then runs in, only for Garcia to DROPKIC Lee first! Kyle says that was his shot. Garcia says oh, okay, sorry. Garcia sets Lee up for Kyle, Kyle runs, and Kyle DROPKICSK Lee!
Garcia high-fives fans, then Kyle sits Lee back up. Kyle says let’s go together! They both run up, but Shane stands in the way! Shane talks trash, then Lee DOUBLE LARIATS Kyle & Garcia! Lee is all fired up, then he drags Garcia up and into the ring. Lee stomps Garcia, then hits a NECK TWIST! Garcia writhes and goes to ropes, Lee BLASTS Kyle off the apron, then Lee hits a snap suplex on Garcia. Cover, TWO, but Lee clamps onto an arm. Lee twists the wrist then traps the arm in a modified cording hold. Garcia endures, fights up, fires body shots, then fires forearms! Garcia fires more shots, then runs, but Lee drops down.
Collision returns to single picture as Lee hits a CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO, but Lee has Garcia’s arm in a double wristlock! Garcia fights up before the Kimura is complete! They go to ropes, RAM Kyle down, then Lee wrenches. Kyle runs up on Lee, but Lee catches him, FLATLINER SOLE FOOD COMBINATION! Cover on Garcia, TWO! Cover on Kyle, TWO! Lee is frustrated but the ref defends his count. Lee grabs Garcia’s wrist, then he grabs Kyle’s wrist. Lee sits them both up to give KICK after KICK! Lee eggs them both on as he gives more KICKS! The fans fire up, Lee comes back, but Kyle hits a kitchen sink knee! Garcia hits a basement DROPKCIK! Lee bails out, and now Kyle and Garcia fire forearms! Kris is sorry? Kris certainly has a lot she wants to say Willow, and Willow has a lot she wants to say to Kris. Willow thinks it is time she just focuses on herself. Cash and Yuta are ringside now but Dax CLAWS Moxley’s back! Cash CHOPS Yuta against the apron, but Moxley sends Dax into barriers! Dax uses a trash can to SMACK Moxley in the head! And then SMACK him again! Moxley flops over the barriers to go up the bleachers! Dax pursues and throws haymakers!

Yuta POSTS Cash, brings him up, but Dax TOSSES Moxley to ringside. Dax keeps after Moxley while Yuta scoops and SLAMS Cash on the ladder! Moxley body shots Dax, then sends him into steel steps! Moxley snarls as he grabs a chair, brings it around, and he makes Dax take a seat. Moxley rains down fists, then gets space to BOOT Dax in the face! Moxley shoves Dax down, covers, TWO! Moxley puts a chair in the ring, but Dax SMAC KS Moxley with a trash can lid! Yuta CHOPS Cash, Dax and Mox get in the ring. Mox JAMS Dax up with the chair, then scoops him to SLAM him on the chair! Dax writhes, Moxley goes looking for stuff, and Yuta gets in the ring.
Moxley brings out quite a few things while Yuta SMACKS Dax on the back with that chair! Yuta soaks up heat, then aims again, to SMACK Dax back down! Yuta pretends he hit a home run. Moxley brings in various tools, such as hammers and pliers! The fans go wild seeing those, but Cash CLOBBERS Moxley! Cash goes up, and he FLYING LARIATS! Cash rains down fists, then he DECKS Yuta! Cash rallies on the Death Riders, then TOSESS Yuta out! Cash stomps away on Moxley. The fans fire up as Cash LARIATS Yuta on the apron! Cash rips his shirt away, and he uses it to CHOKE Yuta! BUT MARINA SHAFIR POSTS CASH!
The fans boo as The Problem makes herself known, and then Moxley is going after Dax with the pliers! He wants those teeth, but Dax fights, so Moxley PULLS on Dax’s nose! The fans freak out and tell Moxley he’s sick, but Collision goes to picture in picture!
Dax fights free of the pliers and goes to a corner, but Yuta is on him with CLAWS to the face! The ref reprimands but Yuta stops when he wants to stop. Yuta grins while he soaks up heat, and Moxley stands Dax up to use the pliers on a finger! The ref can again only reprimand as Moxley & Yuta make Dax suffer! Moxley then grabs a chair, and he JAMS Dax up in the corner. Moxley CHOKES Dax with the chair, then wedges the chair into the corner. Yuta throws hands on Dax, then he and Moxley whip Dax into the chair! Dax falls in a heap, the chair clattering with him, and Yuta WRECKS Cash with a dropkick!
Moxley tells Marina to keep on Cash, and she CLAWS Cash’s face! Dax returns to throw hands with Moxley, but Moxley pokes Dax in the face with the pliers! Yuta goes after Chas, Moxley digs the hammer into Dax’s forehead and eyes! Yuta SLAMS the ladder down on Cash’s back! Dax fights back on Moxley, but Yuta attacks! They mug Dax, then Yuta DDTS Dax onto the trash can lid! Moxley goes out to grab the ladder, and Yuta whips Cash into railing. Cash goes down in a heap while Moxley brings the ladder into the ring. The ladder is put along the top rope, then he and Yuta whip Dax! Dax ducks the ladder, comes back and CLOBBERS the Death Riders!
Dax fires hands on Moxley, then grabs the ladder. He simply puts it on the middle rope now, and he whips Yuta. Yuta reverses, and Dax hits the ladder hard! Dax writhes, the ladder falls out of the ring, and Collision returns to single picture. Yuta looms over Dax, digs his knees in, and Moxley brings out the mysterious black bag. Cash crawls in, Yuta stomps him, and Moxley pours out THUMBTACKS! The fans fire up again while Moxley & Yuta drag Cash up. They bring Cash over, then Yuta makes Dax watch! Moxley underhooks the arms, but Cash wrenches out, whips and POWERBOMBS Moxley onto the tacks!!
The fans go wild as Moxley suffers from his own violent desires! Cash then fires hands on Yuta! Yuta bails out but Cash goes to the apron. Cash drags Yuta up, and hits an APRON- NO, Yuta slips inside, fires hands, and he suplexes. Cash fights that, he and Yuta fight for control! Yuta ROCKS Cash, builds speed, but Cash slingshots. Yuta slides under, Cash keeps moving, and Cash DIVES! Down goes Yuta, but then Moxley has Cash! PARADIGM SHIFT to the floor! Moxley snarls, tells Marina to find him a table, and she points to which side of the ring it’s under. They bring the table out, and fans are torn. They like tables, but the hate the Death Riders!
Moxley puts the table in the ring, Yuta CHOKES Dax on ropes, then Yuta CLAWS Dax’s face! Moxley puts that table up in a corner, and Yuta fires hands on Dax. The fans rally for FTR, but Yuta throws more hands. Moxley talks trash on the fans but they boo. Yuta & Moxley reel Dax in, but Dax fights the double suplex! Dax then fires hands, CHOPS, and elbows! Moxley bails out, so Dax focuses on Yuta! Dax has Yuta in a corner an drains down hands fast ‘n’ furious! The fans fire up as Dax goes way past ten! Dax then brings Yuta around, suplexes, and BRAINBUSTER! Yuta writhes, the fans rally for FTR, but Moxley slithers in with some kind of tow hook!
Dax kicks low! Dax UPPERCUTS, then takes the hook! LOW BLOW WITH THE HOOK!! Dax has Moxley by the shorthairs, but Marina LOW BLOWS Dax! She’s got an iron claw herself, and then clamps on a SLEEPER! Dax is fading, but then he gets a second wind! Dax BACKPACK SENTONS through the table!! Dax just took care of The Problem and the fans are thunderous! They cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for giving them this match! But Moxley hauls Dax up, reels him in, and he has a chair at the ready! But Dax backdrops him! Moxley sunset flips, Dax sits on the cover, TWO! Moxley gets free, but Dax kicks low! FULL METAL PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!!!
Moxley survives and Dax grows frustrated. Dax hobbles around, then has Moxley’s legs! SHARPSHOOTER!! Moxley endures as Dax sits back on the hold! The fans rally, but now CLAUDIO is here! The fans boo as the Swiss Cyborg suplexes Dax off of Moxley! Claudio reels Dax in, but Dax backdrops free! And LARIATS Claudio up and out! But Moxley hits a CUTTER!! Moxley sets the chair up, and runs, FULL METAL CURB STOMP!! Cover, CASH BREAKS IT! The fans fire up but Yuta attacks Cash! Claudio joins in, this is even more of a handicap match now! Yuta keeps Cash down so Claudio can put the chair around Cash’s neck! The fans boo, but COPE & JAY WHITE are here! They fight Yuta and Claudio, and the Switchblade LARIATS Claudio out! Cope CLOBBERS Moxley on the outside, puts him back in, then things spill out towards commentary! They even get on the desk! Dax reels Yuta in, and Cash goes up the railing! MIND BREAKER PILEDRIVER through the table!!! Cover, FTR WINS!!

The Death Riders tried to tip the scales, but they underestimated how many enemies they have! But the brawl is still going as Claudio puts White in the ring! Cope has Moxley, White gets Claudio with a BLADERUNNER! The fans fire up as FTR now stand back up, and they join Cope & White in the ring! “This is Awesome!” as Moxley finds himself all alone! Cope tells Moxley to turn around. He does, and staggers into a SHATTER MACHINE! Then Cope adds the SPEAR!! Cope still isn’t done, he drags Moxley around and White says hold on a second. White brings in a chair and hands that to Cope! FTR sets Moxley up on the other chair, and the fans all know what this is!
But so does Claudio, and he drags Moxley out to safety! The fans boo, but Cope grins. He put out the challenge, and as it stands, March 9th could be the most violent match we’ve ever seen! Will Cope make sure the Maniac’s reign of terror ends with a Revolution?
My Thoughts:
A very good Collision, but they sure put in a lot of talking. I know this was prerecorded, and it obviously went up against the Royal Rumble, but seriously, this was a LOT of talking. They put in a lot of hype promos and vignettes for the coming weeks. I’m surprised they’re making the Atlanta Dynamite a “big” episode, but I did really like the promo from Swerve and Ricochet. For one, it’s just great that people in AEW and WWE are acknowledging Lucha Underground. And Ricochet also relating how the fans were rather fickle, and spun it as how he was always “pretending” to be a Face. It does work given how well he’s doing as this American Psycho style Heel. Swerve VS Ricochet for Atlanta is going to be awesome stuff, but I feel like shenanigans will happen to compel a rematch.
Toni Storm had a great promo, and I love that she thinks we had no idea that was her as “Rockstar” Toni Storm. But then Mariah May hyping up Storm VS Aminata is redundant and just filling time. At least Thunder Rosa’s promo kept in mind that Rosa VS Ford was happening. Willow and Kris having a promo here was a touch surprising, but at least they haven’t forgotten that story of Kris trying to redeem herself. Then Harley VS Taya was a really good match, and I figured Harley would finally get that first televised win here. Deonna throwing a fit was fitting, and Harley had a really funny Mone Muppet promo. Now, of course Mone wasn’t going to just say yes to Harley, maybe Harley forces Mone into it with a Title Eliminator situation.
Very good promos from Kyle and Briscoe to set up a singles match for next week’s Collision, but then it seems a bit too soon when we’ve got Kyle & Konosuke VS Buddy & Brody. I did really like the promo Buddy and Okada had, though, with Buddy again punking Okada there. Obviously Buddy VS Okada is going to be happen, and I would think it’s for Grand Slam. Perhaps after next week’s Dynamite, Okada tries to punk Buddy in return, only for Buddy and him to fight, compelling the Continental Championship match. And even if Buddy loses, he will look awesome against Okada, maybe helping build Buddy up towards a different singles title reign.
Good promo from Lio & Action to talk trash on Dante & Darius, and a good, quick vignette from Hologram. Hologram will surely get right back into the mix once he’s back, and he’d also make a great challenger to some midcard titles. We got a really good promo from each part of the TNT Championship Triple Threat, and that was one of the best Triple Threats I’ve seen in a long time, especially when you consider the creativity from these three as three of the best technical wrestlers today. Plus, they did an incredible job with that finish, where Garcia turns things around on Lee and Kyle misses breaking it. The Trios Triple Threat we’re getting will be great, too, but I feel like Undisputed Kingdom wins that.
Very good promo from The Outrunners to hype up their tag match, and that was a really good tag match. The Learning Tree of course had to cheat, though, but then great save by Bandido. He is over his concussion that he unfortunately got when he returned in the first place, and clearly he’ll be challenging Jericho after all. I can only hope that Bandido VS Jericho happens for whatever return to cable television ROH will get, and then Bandido can win the title to make all the “Please Retire!” anti-Jericho fans happy. And even if there are fans who don’t really know Bandido, I would think beating Jericho would help them understand Bandido is that good.
Great opening tag from Joe & Hook VS Nick & Kip, and while of course Joe & Hook, of course Christian would beat them up as a sore loser. I almost thought Shibata was gonna hurry out there, but I guess The Patriarchy has to stand tall once before this feud is over. I’m sure the blowoff is a Six Man Tag, but a part of me wants Taz to dare Christian Cage to put up his Casino Gauntlet contract against either Joe or Hook. At the very least, not getting Joe VS Christian 1v1 before this is done feels like a wasted opportunity, so we gotta see that happen.
Great stuff with LFI’s reunion. Mortos of course destroys Adam Priest, but Caster showing up to do his first open challenge was good stuff. Rush demolishing Caster was also great, and I really hope this time, LFI does stuff that matters. If nothing else, can they get in on the story with the Death Riders just because of the Trios Championships? Rated FTR has said they don’t really disagree with the Death Riders, and I feel like LFI don’t even care what the Death Riders want, LFI just wants gold. And c’mon, Rush, Dralistico & Mortos VS Claudio, Pac & Yuta? That’s a killer 3v3 right there.
Now, speaking of the Death Riders, here’s where things were just a touch messy tonight. They’ve been showing us snippets of the Death Riders on Closeup with Renee Paquette, the AEW YouTube series. Did Cope not even watch the snippets they showed on TV? Because the first part of his promo made no sense when you consider Moxley out and out says he wants to “backfill AEW with a thousand Jon Moxleys,” aka he wants to mold the next generation in his image. Cope saying Moxley has no plan is now debunked. But being this is all a prerecorded episode, maybe Cope did that promo before knowing they were giving us Moxley’s promo on Dynamite.
That said, duh it’s gonna be Cope VS Moxley at Revolution. The Street Fight tonight was a lot of wild fun, and of course it got overbooked with Marina and Claudio helping out, to then cue Cope and Jay White countering that. Great win for FTR out of this, and good tease of Cope going for the Con-Chair-To. Going back to Christian Cage still having his Casino Gauntlet contract, it’d be so fitting if he chose to cash in on Cope at Revolution. Cope can win to “liberate” the world title, only for his archenemy to steal his moment and start us on a new Cope VS Christian rivalry through the Spring and Summer.

The bell rings, the two circle, and the fans rally up. They tie up, Megan RAMS Anna into the corner and RAMS her again and again! The ref counts, Megan stops, and then Megan CHOPS! Megan stalks Anna along the way, whips her to ropes, and then Megan scoops, only for Anna to slip free. Anna fires forearms, but dodges Megan’s haymaker! Anna kicks, KICKS, and runs to DROPKICK! The fans fire up, Anna whips, but Megan blocks and reverses. Megan runs in, Anna slips outside, and then Anna HEEL KICKS! Ford is there to anchor Anna, Harley protests, but Megan BOOTS Anna in the distraction!
The fans boo but then Ford ASAI MOONSAULTS! Down goes Anna and Ford soaks up the heat. Megan storms over but so does Harley. Harley coaches Anan but Megan drags her up. Megan whips Anna hard into railing! Anna falls in a heap and Megan soaks up the heat. Ford taunts Anna, Megan hauls Anna up and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Though he may not be going for the Owen Hart Cup, he is still ready to prove he is The Protostar! Will the Aussie Arrow hit the mark here tonight? Or will Beach Break become the Whole Fox’n Show?
The bell rings and Kyle BOOTS Fox right down! Callis is on commentary to say that is a proto-fast start there. The fans boo but Kyle soaks up the heat. Fox stands but Kyle BOOTS him again! Kyle stomps Fox in the corner again and again, then stands on Fox. The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Kyle steps off to say he has ’til 5. Kyle CHOPS, Fox is stinging, but Kyle CHOPS again! Kyle whips corner to corner, Fox goes up and out, and then Fox BOOTS Kyle! Fox slips in, slips out, and Kyle hits buckles! Fox trips Kyle, the fans rally, and Fox slingshots to facelock, only for Kyle to suplex first! Fox slips free, Kyle elbows him away, then Kyle runs.
Fox drops, then DROPKICKS! The fans fire up while Kyle checks his face. Callis admits, Fox is on another level athletically. The problem is: Fox panders to the fans. Fox knuckle locks Kyle, goes up, up, jumps around a bit, and Callis says that’s a waste of movement! Fox still jumps to wheelbarrow and BULLDOG! The fans fire up but Callis says this is pathetic. Kyle bails out, Fox builds speed, but Kyle is back! POP-UP and SWINGING SIDE SLAM! Callis loves it as Kyle struts around and says “SUCK IT!” Kyle looms over Fox and stomps him while Collision goes picture in picture.
Fox rises, Kyle storms over, but Fox fires body shots. Kyle eggs Fox on, then scoops to SLAM! Kyle says it’s that easy. Kyle still checks his teeth, then he goes back to Fox. Fox rises, kicks low, then kicks again. Fox fires forearms but Kyle scoops and SLAMS! Kyle rains down shots, the ref reprimands about closed fists, so Kyle shifts to driving in ELBOWS! Kyle stops to cool off, then he stalks Fox to a corner. Kyle climbs up, soaks up heat, and he rains down fists! Kyle goes all the way to nine, then winds it up, but Fox YANKS Kyle down! Kyle hits buckles and Fox climbs up! Now Fox rains down fists! Fox goes all the way to TEN, then past that to 15!
Kyle shoves Fox away and he CLOBBERS fox! Kyle shakes out the stars before standing back up. Fox sputters but Kyle drags him up. Kyle bumps Fox off buckles, turns him around, and BODY BLOWS! Fox sputters but Kyle ROCKS him, BODY BLOWS, and repeat! Kyle puts Fox up top, ROCKS him again, and then climbs up. The fans rally as Beach Break returns to single picture. Fox blocks the suplex! Fox fires body shots, shoves Kyle away, and then adjusts. But Kyle is back to trip Fox up! Except Fox split-leg flips through! And he rolls Kyle to then BASEMENT CUTTER! The fans fire up and Fox runs in, but Kyle BOOTS him!
Kyle goes up, but Fox ENZIGIRIS! Kyle wobbles, Fox grabs his arms, ICONOCLASM and a roll-through, for another CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but Fox stays focused. Fox drags Kyle up as the fans rally, and Fox tucks the arms. Kyle fights the lift, throws Fox back, and SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kyle snarls and waits on Fox. The trios sort out and Ishii starts against Azucar. Ishii is definitely still pissed with how Rocky turned on him, The Conglomeration, and NJPW’s Chaos. But then Trent CLUBS Ishii from behind! Ishii ROCKS Trent return, then ROCKS Rocky! The ref reprimands but Rocky RAMS Ishii into the corner! Archer tags in, he shoves Ishii, and then he CLOBBERS Ishii! Ishii tumbles, but Brody tags in! The fans rally for “MEAT! MEAT!” and bark it up. Archer and Brody circle, step up, and they throw forearms! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Brody fires a flurry then CHOPS! Brody puts some stank on it, but Archer throat chops!
Archer runs, but Brody BOOTS him! Brody runs and DIVES out onto Archer! They hit the barriers, Bandido & Ishii run in and BLAST RPG Vice! Bandido rallies the fans, Brody brings Archer up and ROCKS him! Brody stalks Archer to the railing, sits him down with a CHOP, then barks as he gets space. The fans bark with Brody, and Brody runs in, but Trent BUSAIKU KNEES! Rocky BLASTS Ishii, Trent YANKS Bandido down, Archer APRON CHOKE SLAMS Brody! It is a different kind of chaos now as Rocky bumps Ishii off the apron and BOOTS him! The ref tries to restore order but Collision goes picture in picture.
Rocky gives some Azucar Heat while Archer puts Brody against barriers. Archer CHOPS Brody, Rocky CHOPS Ishii, but Ishii hits Rocky back! Rocky BOOTS Ishii, Archer ROCKS Brody, and Rocky SMACKS Ishii off steel steps! Trent even sends Bandido into those same steps! Archer finally puts Brody in the ring and CLUBS away on him in the corner. Archer bumps Brody off buckles and tags in Rocky. The Callis Family mugs Brody, then Rocky DROPKICKS! Trent runs back in and he DROPKICKS Brody off the ropes! Trent covers, TWO, and Collision goes to break.
Beach Break returns again and Ishii dodges Rocky to GERMAN SUPELX! Cover, Trent breaks it! Ishii snarls and he ROCKS Rocky, ROCKS Trent, repeat! The fans rally, Ishii runs, but into DOUBLE JUMP KNEES! Archer BOOTS Ishii! Archer BLASTS Brody! RPG drags Ishii up, they put him on the rope, and Rocky goes up! GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMP! Brody BLASTS Archer, then he storms upon Rocky. Brody kicks Rocky, he and Ishii double whip him corner to corner! Ishii runs to LARIAT! Brody adds a LARIAT! Then Bandido gets a boost to SHOTGUN Rocky! The fans fire up and bark for Brody! CANNONBALL! Cover, Brody and team win!

But then Archer attacks! The Callis Family are sore losers after all! Trent THRASHES Bandido in a sleeper, Archer CHOKES Brody in a corner, but wait! Here come The Outrunners! They still have beef of their own, and they dodge Archer to DOUBLE ALRAIT! Then they fire hands with RPG Vice! Archer gets Rocky & Trent out of the ring, they retreat, but Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum stand tall with the winners! Will this new conglomeration be just the thing to defeat the Don Callis Family?
Backstage interview with Paragon.
Lexy Nair is with Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and the AEW TNT Champion, Adam Cole. Lexy brings up Cole’s “target on his back,” and Cole says that’s how it is when you’re a champion. A lot of people want their shot, but that’s how he likes it. He is Adam Cole Baybay, so he is ready to take on anyone and everyone who wants their shot. But then in step the Grizzled Young Veterans. Zack Gibson says it is ironic that the very top stars this business has ever produced are really just three babies. Kyle says cool it right there, pal! Kyle admits, he can be juvenile and immature, maybe young at heart, but he is not some baby.
James Drake says this is Paragon’s real problem: All heart, all jokes, but they’ve gone soft. Roddy shouts, “GRIZZLED~! Young Veterans… I like the scarves, guys. But fellas, you know what I’d like more? To beat their asses.” Gibson says next week, GYV VS Kyle & Roddy, and Gibson warns them right now, the Paragon will be dragged into the deep water. And when they’re down there, gasping for air, then they’ll see if there’s an ounce of fight left in Paragon. Drake says he wants Cole on commentary so we can hear his heart break as everyone sees the best team is GYV. Cole says if GYV wants to be one of the best tag teams in AEW, they’ve gotta earn it.
But trust Cole when he says the pressure isn’t on them, it’s all on GYV. Paragon heads out, who will crack under said pressure when these teams finally have it out?

While Speedball wants after the Rainmaker, Kazuchika Okada doesn’t want anything to do with Speedball. But can Bailey force his hand by stacking up wins toward a title opportunity? Or will the Vanilla Babyface sour everything for everyone?

Blake offers a handshake, Bailey accepts, only for Blake to leave him hanging and to “have a taste.” Bailey says whatever, but Blake rushes up behind him! Bailey ducks, then hits a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO! Blake sits up, ducks a kick, then avoids the standing moonsault! Blake avoids the leg sweep, Bailey ducks the roundhouse, and Bailey unleashes LIGHTNING KICKS and an ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up and Blake goes to a corner. Bailey runs in and BOOTS Blake, then he scoops and SLAMS him! Bailey goes up the corner, and IMPLODER KNEE DROPS! Cover, TWO!
Blake survives, the fans rally, and Bailey storms back over. Blake trips Bailey into buckle! Blake runs in, Bailey dodges, but then Blake dodges to DROPKICK Bailey in the back! Bailey bails out, Blake goes to the apron and runs, to DIVE through the corner! Blake puts Bailey in, goes up, takes another taste, 450 DOUBLE STOMP!! Cover, TWO!! Bailey survives but he still clutches his gut. Blake drags Bailey up, ELBOWS him in the head, then ELBOWS him again. Blake pushes Bailey onto ropes, CHOKES him, but steps off at 4. The fans rally for Bailey and he rises up. Blake waistlocks and ripcords, but Bailey shrugs off the tilt-o-whirl!
Blake ducks a roundhouse, avoids the thrust kick, and JUMP KNEE Bailey! Bailey rebounds, BOOTS, but Blake PELES! Both men are down and Blake hurries to the apron! The fans rally, Blake springboards, but Bailey THRUST KICKS him out of the air! The fans fire up and Bailey rises. Blake goes to ropes, Bailey aims and CHOPS! Blake CHOPS back! Bailey CHOPS again! Blake CHOPS again! The CHOPS continue, faster and faster, then Blake has the edge! Bailey roars and Blake is stunned. Blake puts some stank on it, but stomps Bailey’s toes! Blake runs, but Bailey BOOTS him! The fans fire up while Blake bails out again!
Bailey builds speed and he BOOTS Blake off the apron again! Bailey then goes up, GOLDEN TRIANGLE MOONSAULT! Down goes Blake and the fans fire up! Kaun & Liona make sure to bring trash cans full of plunder, as well as their own pool cue and… a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire! Bill & Keith rush them at the ramp, the bell rings, and Liona JAMS Bill with the bat!! Keith and Kaun brawl, Liona CLUBS Bill with the bat, and then Kaun use a wet floor sign to SMACK Keith! Kaun brings the trashcan over, SMACKS Keith with a road sign, but Keith CLAWS Kaun’s eyes!

Liona staggers, Keith leaps, but Liona catches him! APRON SLAM for Keith! Bill ELBOWS Kaun and is free of the choke hold, just as Collision goes picture in picture!
Kaun has a trash can, and he SMASHES it on Bill’s head! And then SMASHES him again! Bill falls in a heap and Kaun sees Liona has Keith. Liona smothers Keith, then whips him hard into the steel steps! Keith falls in a heap and Liona smiles. The Gates regroup, and Kaun drags Keith up to CLUB him in the chest! Kaun hears the fans, and he decides to do that one more time! Kaun CHOPS Keith! But then Keith CLAWS Kaun’s eyes! Liona has a pool stick, but Keith snatches it to SMACK Liona with it! Keith storms in but Liona SMACKS him with a trashcan lid! Liona grins as he CHOKES Keith with the lid!
Kaun steps in, he has Liona let off, and they take turns hitting Keith with trashcan lids! Keith writhes and flounders out of the ring! Liona goes out and he SMACKS Bill! Liona SMACKS away on Bill’s leg while Kaun CHOKES Keith with a pool cue! Kaun then shoves Keith into the ring and Liona joins him. They drag Keith up, put him in the Tree of Woe, and then add a trashcan to the mix! Liona rallies the fans as Beach Break returns to single picture. Liona runs to RAM the can! Kaun adds a DROPKICK! The Gates drag Keith out of the Tree but into the drop zone, BANZAI DROP! Cover, BILL BREAKS IT!
Bill fires hands on Kaun and LARIATS him out of the ring! The fans fire up and Bill storms out after Kaun. Bill brings Kaun to the double tables Liona set up earlier, and he RAMS Kaun into railing. Bill ROCKS Kaun, then picks up that backpack he had earlier… Bill grins and opens the backpack up. Bill dumps out BRICKS! Just like he did to Hobbs months ago! Bill has a brick, and he stands Kaun up! Bill gives Kaun his last rites, then swings! Kaun ducks, and brick shatters against POST! Bill shakes out his hand, Kaun CLOBBERS Bill with a monitor!! Liona POUNCES Bill onto the commentary desk!! The fans fire up while Nigel & Schiavone have to scramble!
Keith SMACKS Liona with a trashcan lid!! Liona doesn’t even blink?! The fans tell Keith he messed up! Keith gets mad, but Liona blocks the next shot. Liona JAMS and SMACKS Keith in return! Then he hoists Keith up onto the barriers. The fans rally as Liona gets space. Liona runs back in, but Keith HEADSHOTS him with the lid! Liona just roars! Liona CROSSBODIES Keith into the timekeeper’s area! Bill slowly stirs while the ref checks Keith and Liona. Kaun stalks Bill, drags him up, and brings him to those tables. Kaun goes to the apron, but Bill trips Kaun up! Keith is back up, and Bill crawls into the ring.
Kaun SMASHES Bill with a trash can! Kaun drags Bill up, the fans rally, and Keith has the trashcan to SMASH Kaun! Keith then goes to his panel from earlier, but Liona is back! Liona drags Keith out, and he goes for the tables! Liona SMACKS Keith off the apron, goes up after him, and then fireman’s carries! The fans are thunderous, but Keith fights free! Keith CLAWS Liona’s eyes, but Liona clamps onto Keith’s head! Keith RISING HEADBUTTS! Bill is up and he BOOTS Liona down through the tables!! Liona is down in the wreckage of his own making, but Kaun SMASHES Bill with the trashcan! Kaun brings Bill around, but Keith has his panel!

He says here in Chicago, we’ve heard the chant of “MONGO! MONGO!” and it is time to pay tribute to one of the great football players, one of the great pro-wrestlers, the late, great Steve McMichael! The fans cheer that, and we are joined by his widow, Misty McMichael, and she is happy to be here. Steve was the greatest man she’s ever known, made a special impact on both football and wrestling. They were together 27 years in all, and she is so happy to pay tribute. And then we get Dean Malenko! The fans cheer and Dean waves.
Schiavone brings up Mongo being a four-time All Pro, two-time Pro Bowl selection, and part of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl 20 winning team, and was even inducted into the NFL Pro-Football Hall of Fame last year. The fans cheer, and Schiavone says Mongo exemplified the fighting spirit and determination of all great Chicago athletes. Plus, in this very building, Mongo coached the Chicago Slaughter to an undefeated season in Arena Football! The fans cheer that, and Schiavone says as a wrestler, Mongo was one of the Four Horsemen, and even became a United States Heavyweight Champion.

Ric once coined the phrase, “To be the man, you gotta beat the man.” And Steve McMichael was more man than anyone he’s ever known! Mongo fought ALS for six YEARS! Fully aware of everything around him, yet unable to move. That massive 280 pound man finally made it to the Hall of Fame, and is now up there in Heaven, God bless him and God bless you all. Ric says he cannot say enough about Misty. She never left Mongo’s side. She learned how to be a wonderful nurse. The fans cheer on Mongo, and Ric thanks them for that. Or will CRU not know what to do after losing to The Natural & The Spanish God?
The teams sort out and Dustin starts against Action. The fans rally, Dustin and Action feel things out, but Dustin avoids Action’s leg pick. Action and Dustin reset, tie up, and then break. They tie up again, Dustin powers Action to the corner, but Action turns things around. Action lets off slowly, then he mocks the deep breath. Action shoves Dustin but Dustin shoves Action! Lio wants a timeout, but then Action sends Dustin into steel steps!
The fans boo and Sammy is worried for Dustin, but Action anchors Sammy at the apron! Lio HANDSPRING KICKS Sammy down, then DIVES! Direct hit, and then Lio sets Sammy up for Action’s ARABIAN PRESS! The fans boo as CRU stands tall, but Collision goes picture in picture.
CRU soaks up the heat, and they stomp Sammy. Actin puts Dustin in the ring, then CHOP BLOCKS his leg! Dustin falls in a heap but Action drags him around by his leg. Action puts Dustin’s leg on the ropes for a HIP DROP! The ref reprimands but Action HIP DROPS the leg again! Action tags Lio, Lio looms over Dustin and talks trash. Lio kicks away on Dustin’s leg, then GROUND DRAGON SCREWS! Lio BITES Dustin’s face and the ref reprimands. Lio stops, then he ROCKS Dustin! And ROCKS him again! Lio talks trash but Dustin stands. Dustin hurries along the ropes, but Action runs in! Dustin DUMPS Action back out! Lio runs in, Dustin dodges and then SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up as Dustin crawls! Hot tag to Sammy! Yuta survives all that meat, but Hobbs brings down the straps! The fans fire up as Hobbs then lifts Yuta, but Yuta sunset flips! Hobbs YANKS Yuta up, but Yuta KICKS the leg! Yuta runs, but Hobbs hits a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, Hobbs wins!

Hobbs handles town bidness, even with a bad leg! But then Marina Shafir CHOP BLOCKS Hobbs!! The fans boo as The Problem kicks away on Hobbs’ leg! Yuta joins in, but here comes Willow! The Babe with the Power rushes in and she glares at Marina. Marina runs up, but into a SPINEBUSTER from Willow! Willow SLAPS Marina around, Yuta sighs and pulls Willow’s hair! The fans boo and Willow is pissed. Willow SLAPS Yuta, roars at him, and then Hobbs is up! Hobbs ROCKS Yuta, Willow reels Yuta in, but Marina makes the save! The Death Riders retreat, but Kris is on stage! Kris chose not to help her former friend, how is she supposed to make amends?
As for Willow & Hobbs, they stand tall. With just over a week left, will these powerhouses be obvious choices for Anarchy in the Arena?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that only suffered from TNT and/or MAX having broadcasting problems. Not sure why it happened, but this isn’t the first time a prerecorded Collision has been messed up on some level. Are they just putting interns and amateurs behind the desk on these episodes? Thankfully when some technology fails, other technology is there to make up for it. Ironically, that loving tribute to Steve McMichael was a great place to end any broadcast, and what a great surprise for Ric Flair to show up.
Megan VS Anna was a very good opener, and that buckle spot was a very clever way for Ford to factor into the finish. Megan was of course going to win, though, and she stays strong and undefeated while waiting on a title shot. Good promo from Mina to hype up her shot at Toni, and Mina will have a great match with Julia Hart next Wednesday. Great stuff from The Don Callis Family tonight, from Kyle VS Fox to the Six Man Tag. Great win for Kyle to keep him sharp while waiting on title stories, but also good win for the Faces. The Outrunners coming to help after was also very fitting, I wonder if we’ll get a 10 Man of Bandido, Brody, Ishii & Outrunners VS Kyle, Konosuke, Alexander and RPG Vice. That’s at least a solid Buy-In match.
Very good stuff with Bailey VS Blake but Bailey of course won. Bailey calling out Okada was great, and of course Okada insults Bailey rather than fight him. LFI attacking Bailey was a nice surprise, and while Dralistico might want another match with Bailey, I think it’s time we get Bailey VS Rush, and then the winner of that can challenge Okada for the Continental Championship. Story wise, Okada VS Bailey makes sense, but Okada VS Rush is just awesome to think about. The Chicago Street Fight was very good, and I appreciate even Chicago likes Big Bill. Bill & Keith winning is great for them, and can certainly feed into Jericho’s return and how Jericho still won’t respect his Branches. Then we get Bill VS Jericho, and Learning Tree splits up.
Good promo from The Paragon with GYV, and we’ll get a great match of GYV VS Roddy & Kyle. Cole bringing up his TNT Championship but then not setting up a challenger is odd, but I think it has to do with Sammy Guevara taking his detour into this tag title story. CRU VS Sons of Texas was great, but as I was saying for Dynamite, Sons of Texas winning was just a given. Very good promo from Willow and Kris, great match of Yuta VS Hobbs, and great win for Hobbs. Hobbs & Willow running off Yuta & Marina was good stuff, I wonder if they fit in a Mixed Tag before Anarchy in the Arena as a sampler of what we could get for Double or Nothing, Willow beating up Yuta while Marina tries to choke out Hobbs.

The Aerial Assassin and the Blackhat Cowboy may be battling at Double or Nothing, but they must work together tonight against their common enemies. Can Ospreay & Hangman put things aside for just one night? Or will the Don Callis Family ruin the Owen Hart Cup finals?
The teams sort out and Don Callis of course joins commentary. Chicago rallies and duels for Ospreay and Hangman, and Ospreay holds the ropes open for Hangman to step out. Ospreay starts against The Alpha and the fans fire up with the bell. Ospreay and Konosuke tie up, Konosuke wrenches to wristlock, but Ospreay spins and wrenches to hammerlock, then headlocks. Ospreay wrenches, Konosuke switches to headlock, but Ospreay powers out. Konosuke RUNS Ospreay over, Ospreay kips up, but Konosuke throws him down by his hair! Ospreay kips up again and ROCKS Konosuke! Ospreay whips, Konosuke reverses, and things speed up.
Konosuke hurdles, Ospreay leaps over, and Konosuke trips Ospreay. Cover, ONE! Ospreay sweeps and covers, ONE! Konosuke narrowly ducks the buzzsaw and the fans fire up! The fans cheer and Konosuke backs off. Tag to the Walking Weapon and the fans tell off Callis. Ospreay steps back, looks to Hangman, and Hangman holds out his hand. Ospreay says not yet, and he circles with Alexander. They tie up, Alexander puts Ospreay on the ropes, but the ref counts. Alexander lets off slowly, but then RAMS Ospreay down low! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Alexander CLUBS Ospreay. Alexander whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges then RANAS!
The fans fire up while Alexander tumbles! Ospreay then wrenches Alexander, reaches out to Hangman, but Alexander whips Ospreay to the Callis corner. Alexander runs up but Ospreay BOOTS him, ELBOWS Konosuke, and jumps up, but into a FLAPJACK! Alexander stares Hangman down while the fans boo. Alexander bumps Ospreay off buckles, hoists him up with an Electric Chair, and Konosuke goes up! ELECTRIC CHAIR TOSS JUMP KNEE COMBO!! Then Konosuke BOOTS Hangman off the corner! The fans boo, the ref stops Hangman from getting in, but that lets Alexander stomp and CHOKE Ospreay at ropes!
The fans boo while Konosuke taunts Hangman. Callis brags that Konosuke & Alexander aren’t just a team, they’re family! Konosuke CLUBS Ospreay but the fans rally up. Konosuke bumps Ospreay off buckles but Ospreay fires forearms! Konosuke CLAWS Ospreay’s face, then lifts, but Ospreay fights the Blue Thunder. Ospreay fires elbows but Konosuke shoves him to ropes. Konosuke ROCKS Ospreay in the back with a forearm, then brings him around. Konosuke whips, but Ospreay tilt-o-whirl RANAS! The fans fire up while both men down, hot tag to Hangman! Hangman CLOBBERS Konosuke, BLASTS Alexander, then BOOTS Konosuke!
Hangman triangle jumps to LARIAT Alexander! Then he dodges Konosuke to scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! The fans fire up as then Hangman PLANCHAS Alexander down! The fans fire up as Hangman quickly loads up on the apron. Konosuke runs up but Hangman BOOTS him away. Alexander anchors Hangman’s foot but Hangman kicks him away, to then ASAI MOONSAULT! And then he hurries in, wrenches and fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER for Konosuke! Cover, TWO! Konosuke stays in this but Hangman stays focused. Callis admits, Hangman can string together high impact moves like no one else.
Hangman runs corner to corner, LARIATS Konosuke, then snapmares him to run and SLIDING- NO, Konosuke dodges! Konosuke ROCKS Hangman, Hangman ROCKS Konosuke, repeat! The fans rally behind Hangman as the shots keep going, but Konosuke fires boxing elbows! Hangman BOOTS the lariat, then gut wrenches! But Konosuke fights it to one of his own! Hangman slips free, shoves and dodges Konosuke, but Konosuke dodges, only for Hangman to POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! Konosuke is still in this but Hangman drags him over. Tag to Ospreay and the fans cheer as the two double whip.
Ospreay & Hangman DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE Konosuke, then Ospreay sets him up for Hangman’s SLIDING LARIAT! Ospreay RUNNING SHOOTING STAR PRESSES, covers, TWO! Konosuke survives again but Ospreay keeps close. Ospreay drags Konosuke up, fires Kawada Kicks, and the fans sing for him. Konosuke staggers to the corner, Hangman sets him up for Ospreay’s CHOP! Konosuke falls, Ospreay and Hangman nod, and Hangman tags in. They mug Konosuke, taking turns throwing haymakers. The ref reprimands, the two double whip, but Alexander grabs Konosuke! Ospreay runs up but Konosuke DUMPS Ospreay out!
Hangman runs up, BLASTS Alexander, but Konosuke CLOBBERS Hangman! Alexander slides in and runs to CROSSBODY Hangman off the apron! Alexander sets both men up, and Konosuke FLIES! Down go Ospreay & Hangman! The fans are torn because that was impressive, sot hey cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this match happen. The Don Callis Family is feeling good while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Hangman and Ospreay writhe while Konosuke & Alexander regroup. Konosuke drags Hangman up and into the ring, then puts him in an open corner. Konosuke stomps Hangman, stands on him, but stops as the ref counts 4. Konosuke tags Alexander and Alexander stalks Hangman along the ropes. Alexander KNEES Hangman, suplexes him high and hard, then covers, TWO! Hangman is tougher than that, but Alexander ELBOWS him in the head! Hangman gets up to ROCK Alexander, ROCK Konosuke, but Alexander kicks low. Alexander fires hands in the corner but lets off as the ref counts. Alexander and the ref argue, then Alexander goes back for more.
Alexander bumps Hangman off buckles, CHOPS him, but Hangman just gets mad. Alexander CHOPS again, but Hangman CHOPS back! And CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Alexander pulls Hangman into the corner and Konosuke CHOKES him! The ref reprimands but Alexander and Konosuke trip Hangman up and drag him out of the ring. Konosuke THROWS Hangman into railing! Callis likes what he sees given it’s up close, and Konosuke ROCKS Hangman! Konosuke puts Hangman back in the ring, Alexander covers, TWO! Alexander drags Hangman up, kicks him, then wrenches him to a hammerlock.
Alexander wrangles Hangman to the mat, but Hangman endures as Alexander grinds the arm. Hangman fights forward, reaches out, and has the ROPEBREAK! Alexander holds on, but the ref counts. Konosuke kicks at Hangman, the ref reprimands, but Alexander stomps Hangman down. Beach Break returns to single picture as Hangman stands. Hangman CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Alexander shoves Hangman and RAMS him, to then NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO! Hangman stays in this but Alexander stands between him and Ospreay. The fans rally but Alexander wags his finger.
Alexander stands Hangman up, SLAPS him,, SLAPS him more, but Hangman just gets pissed! Hangman fires forearms and the fans fire up! Alexander shoves Hangman, blocks a kick, and wrangles Hangman to an ANKLE LOCK! Hangman endures as Alexander twists the foot! Hangman fights forward, reaches out, but Alexander keeps him back! Hangman turns over to BOOT Alexander away, into Konosuke! Hot tag to Ospreay! The fans fire up as Ospreay rallies on Alexander with forearms! Ospreay whips, Alexander reverses but Ospreay CLOBBERS Alexander! But Konosuke storms in and kicks Ospreay!
The fans boo as the Callis Family double whips, but Ospreay ducks the double lariat to handspring and DOUBLE NEURALIZER! Then STANDING SKY TWISTER for Alexander! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up with Ospreay and he calls his shot. But Alexander keeps Ospreay from running, so Ospreay ELBOWS and PELES him! Konosuke is back and BOOTS Ospreay, to then scoop, only for Ospreay to fight free! Ospreay feeds Konosuke to Hangman’s BOOT! The fans fire up as Hangman and Ospreay go to the corners! ARIHARA MOONSAULT onto Konosuke, SKY TWISTER onto Alexander! The fans lose their minds while Ospreay hurries to put Alexander in.
Ospreay aims from the apron, springboards, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Down goes Alexander and Ospreay covers, TWO! Alexander survives and Ospreay is a bit surprised. Ospreay nods and rallies Chicago. Ospreay brings Alexander up, underhooks, but Alexander fights the lift. Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks, but Alexander fires a forearm! The forearms go back and forth, and then Alexander gets the edge! Alexander tags Konosuke then drags Ospreay into the corner. Konosuke BLASTS Hangman off his corner, then sends Alexander in for a FOREARM! Alexander feeds Ospreay to Konosuke’s BOOT! BLUE- NO, Ospreay fights the bomb! Ospreay BOOTS Alexander, ROCKS Konosuke, but the ALPHA ELBOW connects! Konosuke whips, BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Not the cleanest, but Konosuke hurries, BRAINBUSTER! Alexander survives and Ospreay can’t believe it! The fans fire up as Ospreay winds up, but Hangman tags in! The first real dysfunction of this match, but then Ospreay BOOTS Konosuke down! Hangman slingshots, Alexander ducks, but then Ospreay ducks, that Buckshot almost got him! Ospreay and Hangman argue, Alexander shoves Ospreay into Hangman! GERMAN SUPLEX, but Ospreay lands out! Ospreay winds up, HIDDEN BLADE but Alexander dodges again! Ospreay stops short of hitting Hangman! The fans fire up as the two stare down over Ospreay’s elbow! Konosuke drags Hangman out but Hangman dodges to DECK him!
Alexander ROCKS Ospreay, reels him in, but Ospreay wrenches and whips! Hangman BOOTS Alexander, Ospreay adds a HOOK KICK! Hangman and Ospreay look to each other again, and they coordinate a BUCKSHOT HIDDEN BLADE COMBO!!! Cover, Ospreay & Hangman win!!

This deadly duo just knocked the head gear right off of Alexander, but now there’s nothing to stop them from going Double or Nothing. WAIT, POWER DRIVE KNEE!! Hangman is sent into Ospreay and Konosuke brings Ospreay around! Konosuke punches away on Ospreay and Alexander is back up. The Don Callis Family mugs Ospreay while the fans cuss Callis out. Callis creeps closer as Konosuke & Alexander double whip, but Ospreay HIDDEN BLADES Alexander! DRAGON SUPLEX for Konosuke! Hangman gets up, but Ospreay DECKS him!! Ospreay didn’t realize how it was and apologizes, but Hangman wants after him!
The ref gets in there to stop them from fighting each other, and Ospreay storms off. Will it be a Hidden Blade or a Buckshot that hits the jackpot at Double or Nothing?

Alicia Atout is with a very upset Darius, Dante & Last Baddie Standing. Alicia notes they are in action against the AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate, but last week- Darius stops Alicia there and says, “Last week,” only for Dante to explode and shout at MJF! You think they’re playing around with MJF’s “dirty, grimy lawn gnome lookin’ ass?!” If MJF wants to stick his nose in their business, Dante will bite that nose clean off! Darius cools Dante down, and tells Max he’ll get what’s coming. But speaking of business, MJF wasn’t the one Top Flight wanted. “Hurt Syndicate, we’ll keep it real and plain simple: We. Want. Those. Titles.”
They might underestimate Top Flight now, but all it takes is three seconds and we’ll see NEW tag team champions! Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara walk over, and The Natural says he likes the sound of that. Just remember something: people will underestimate you, but that is your fuel, that is your fire to prove them wrong. The Sons of Texas will be watching, and they wish Top Flight luck. Darius says he appreciates that. Top Flight heads out with encouragement from the ROH World Tag Team Champions, will Darius & Dante finally get some gold?

The One & Only swaggers around with the prosthetic leg he stole from the former WWE superstar. Will this be Ricochet’s newest trophy he never truly earned? Or will Zach prove that the one legged man in an ass kicking contest can still win?
The bell rings and the fans rally for Zach. Ricochet dares Zach to come tie up in a test of strength but the fans boo as Ricochet shows off what he can do with two legs. Zach rolls, has a three point stance, and Ricochet is wary. The two approach, tie up, and Zach arm-drags! The fans cheer while Ricochet is already frustrated. The two reset, circle, and Ricochet is upset that Zach isn’t standing up. Zach rolls, then gallops around but Ricochet doesn’t like that! Ricochet bails out but the fans fire up! Ricochet gets mad, runs up, but Zach avoids the leg sweep! Zach then WRECKS Ricochet with a one-leg dropkick! And then the PLANCHA!
The fans fire up and Zach high-fives the front row. Zach hops after Ricochet, headlocks, and shines up that bald head! The fans cheer, and Zach SMACKS Ricochet on the head! Zach high-fives his kids, but then Ricochet RAMS him into railing! The fans boo but Ricochet drags Zach up. Ricochet taunts Zach’s family before he ROCKS Zach. The fans boo more while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ricochet throws down fists, then he taunts the fans. Ricochet drags Zach up, messes with Zach’s hair, then puts him in the ring. Ricochet soaks up the heat before he grabs Zach’s leg. Ricochet lets out a “WOO~” before he steps through, but he can’t put on a Figure Four if Zach’s only got one leg. Ricochet still tries, looks for Zach’s thigh, but Zach reels Ricochet in for a cradle! TWO, and Ricochet LARIATS Zach down! Ricochet rains down fists, the ref reprimands, but Ricochet stops to scrape his sole off Zach’s face. Ricochet drags Zach up, reels him in, and snap suplexes! Ricochet then pushes Zach down and goes to the corner.
Beach Break returns to single picture as Ricochet climbs. The fans boo, but Ricochet aims, 450- NO, Zach moves and Ricochet rolls through! Ricochet comes back, but Zach DUMPS him out! The fans fire up and Zach feeds off that energy. Ricochet hurries back in to run, but Zach avoids the straddle attack! Ricochet splits himself down the middle, and then Zach BOOTS him from the corner! Zach goes up, reels Ricochet in, and TORNADO- NO, Ricochet fights off the DDT and RAMS Zach to the corner! Ricochet CHOPS Zach, then soaks up more heat. Ricochet runs back in, RAMS Zach and ENZIGIRIS from the apron!

The Sussex County Chicken gets Ricochet to run off. Ricochet doesn’t wanna #ManUp anymore, but Mark at least keeps Zach’s leg for him. Will Mark get even with Ricochet on Zach’s behalf?

Renee Paquette is with the Scumbag, and says he has been trying to prove himself week in and week out that he, too, can hurt people. What will he do if he does get that approval from The Hurt Syndicate here tonight? MJF says that is an incredibly intelligent question. First time for everything, right? MJF says that for 406 consecutive days, he was THE AEW World Champion. And that meant that for 406 consecutive days, no matter how much the fans hated his guts, they had no choice but to admit he was the greatest wrestler on God’s green earth. See, he wants that title back, but the landscape has changed ever since he got screwed out of the Triple B.

If he has to wrestle, he doesn’t wanna do it unless he knows he’s gonna win. MJF does not like variables. So if he is part of the Hurt Syndicate, if he gets to be part of a four-headed dragon that is MJF, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and yes, even “Bob,” they will be unstoppable. And MJF becoming a two-time champion will no longer be a possibility, it will become an inevitability. Thank you for your time, Renee.

Shelton fires forearms, whips Dante at Darius, but Darius gives Dante the boost up and over! Then Dante gives Darius the boost on the TORNADO DDT! Dante DROPKICKS Shelton, Darius DROPKICKS Lashley! Darius then sets up for Dante, POETRY IN FLIGHT! Lashley falls off the apron and the fans fire up. Dante then PLANCHAS, but Lashley catches him! Darius DIVES to topple them over! The fans fire up again and Top Flight high-five.
Darius hurries and BOOTS Shelton! Dante goes up while Darius hits a step-in FLATLINER! Dante adds his MAMBA SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Shelton survives and the fans rally. MVP coaches his guys but Dante hurries to tag Darius. Dante DIVES, but Lashley catches him and POSTS him! Shelton has Darius for a HIGH CROTCH PLEX! Shelton stalks Darius to a corner, drags him up, and whips him to the Syndicate corner. Tag to Lashley and he drags Darius out to THROW into barriers! Lashley hauls Darius up to THROW him around again! The fans fire up and Lashley SLAMS Darius on the apron!
MVP tells Lashley to stop playing with his food, so Lashley runs and RAMS into Darius at the corner! And then he turns Darius for a NECKBREAKER! Tag to Shelton, and he stays between Darius and his corner. GERMAN SUPLEX! Darius tumbles, Shelton stalks him, and he GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Darius sputters but Shelton paces. Top Flight just crashed ‘n’ burned, and Lashley is not done with Dante until Dante’s red int he face! But wait! The Sons of Texas storm out here! Dustin tells Lashley he won, just let him go already! Lashley drops Dante, and Dustin asks if Lashley thinks he’s a badass for something? Not to Dustin! Lashley just looks like a punk b*tch! Why not pick on someone his own size? MVP has a mic to say, “Look what we have here! The Natural, Dustin Rhodes!” MVP tells Dustin that they go back a long ways, there’s a lot of respect here for Dustin, as well as his father, Dusty, who MVP was very close to. As a result of that respect, “these two killers” aren’t going to leave Dustin & Sammy in a pool of blood.
MVP tells Dustin to get to the point of why he’s out here. What does he want? Dustin tells P that since they’re about business, here’s the deal. We can all see the ROH Tag titles around their waists. It is obvious what they want. But wait, CRU makes their way out here. Lio Rush & Action Andretti have mics, and Lio says, “Man… Well, look what we have over here.” Action says it looks like an old man and his little buddy are out here trying to be heroes. Check it, time to get to stepping, Gramps. And Sammy, you should follow Gramps before Cru sends you home with a rearranged face to his beautiful little daughter.
The fans tell CRU to STFU, but Lio just smiles. Lio says, “What’s up, Chicago? Listen, Gramps, Sammy, we don’t mean no disrespect, but we came out here because we got a little bit of old business in the ring over there. Listen, we been coming out here week after week, scouting the tag team competition, and y’all over there, we beat Top Flight. So, uh, hey, Bobby! What’s up, Bobby? How about you respect what we got in our past, and we get a little tag team title shot for CRU?” Dustin says one, Lio won’t cut in line. Two, they’ll learn some respect for their elders, “you stupid son of a b*tch!” The fans fire up for that!
MVP says alright, enough! Enough of this! As Dustin alluded to earlier, MVP is a businessman, but he has other business to attend to. Here is his resolution: Take this little bruhaha to Collision, fight it out, and the winners get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships for Double or Nothing. And with that, the producers are saying we’ve got 30 seconds before commercial break. So please, viewers at home, join us as MJF will be in the ring after the break, “and he’s going to get what he deserves.” MVP’s message is ominous, but will this be the last time the Hurt Syndicate has to worry about the Wolf of Wrestling sniffing around them?
Beach Break returns and…
MVP still has the mic to say, “It’s time. Time for MJF to get what’s coming to him. MJF, get your ass out here right now.” MJF’s music hits, but he does not make his way out here. MVP says MJF has apparently gotten lost on the way to the ring, so he asks Shelton to go help MJF. Shelton goes to the back, and MVP says MJF has asked for this. Tonight is his night. Shelton finds Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn at gorilla and asks where MJF went. TK gives MJF up! MJF is hiding behind them! MJF says he was looking all over for Shelton! Shelton says come with him. Right, yes, absolutely! MJF reluctantly goes to the stage and the fans cheer.
Shelton pats MJF on the shoulder and MVP tells MJF to get a move on, they’re wasting valuable time. MJF reluctantly goes to the ring while fans sing, “We Hurt~ People!” MVP says, “Let’s go, Maxwell.” Shelton ushers MJF into the ring, and MVP says, “Well, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, this is your moment of reckoning, and you asked for this, so I hope you’re ready.” MVP looks to the Syndicate and says they had their discussion. They know what’s coming MJF’s way, so once again… MVP gives his thumbs up. The fans cheer, and Shelton gives… thumbs up! MJF is glad to see that, but what about Lashley?
Lashley paces, goes right to MJF’s side and brings him in close. The fans are torn, and Lashley holds up his hand. The final vote is thumbs… The fans rally and it looks like Shelton is gearing up for a superkick! MJF asks “Bob” to be merciful, and Lashley finally gives… A THUMBS UP!! The fans cheer and MJF is shocked! MJF HUGS Lashley, but then Lashley pushes him off. MJF apologizes, but MVP says hey, give it up for Maxwell! MJF sings along with “We Hurt People!” MJF and Lashley shake hands and MVP says next week, AEW Dynamite, the official contract signing for MJF joining the Hurt Syndicate!
The fans cheer as MJF hugs it out with everyone, and then breathes easy. Will these four soon take over all of AEW?

The TIMELESS Champion continues to search for new costars, and what a line-up she has this time! Chicago’s own is making her return tonight, but the Fighting Gravure Idol is making her own return to AEW! And if that isn’t big enough, the brand new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion is making her AEW debut, looking to go for even more gold! Will one of these three prove themselves worthy of sharing Toni’s spotlight? Or will Toni chew up these slop tarts and spit them right back out?
The bell rings and Mina goes right after AZM, wanting payback for the loss at Resurgence! That leaves Storm and Skye to brawl, and Toni TOSSES Skye to the outside. AZM fires forearm son Mina, whips her to ropes, but avoids Mina’s low dropkick. AZM runs, but Mina catches her to a victory roll, step through, but AZM turns that around to a cradle! TWO, and Mina trips AZM to a cover! ONE and AZM goes Matrix! AZM runs, but Mina avoids the Penalty Kick to roll AZM! AZM rolls through, we can hear someone CHOP someone else, and Mina dodges AZM to slide and shimmy! The fans cheer, Skye DECKS Toni, and AZM rolls Mina up! TWO!!
Mina has AZM in a cradle, TWO! AZM trips Mina, runs, but Mina follows! Mina trips AZM, drags her outside, and then fires up for the TORNADO DDT to the floor! The fans fire up as AZM fires a forearm back! They go shot for shot, then they both run, only for Storm and Mina to trip them up! Mina and Storm drag them out, and now these two meet again! Mina ROCKS Storm, whips her, but Storm reverses, and AZM is there to ROUNDHOUSE Mina down! AZM and Storm work together now and they double whip Mina. Mina reverses to send AZM away, then Mina mule kicks Storm. Mina also ELBOWS AZM, and wheelbarrows Storm to victory roll and tie up the legs! AZM returns but Mina catches her, DDT SNAP LOCK COMBO! Then Mina keeps that FIGURE FOUR on Storm! Storm scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Mina lets go and Storm bails out. AZM runs in and kicks Mina. AZM bumps Mina off buckles, whips, but Mina reverses to SOBAT! Mina knuckle locks AZM and goes up the corner!
Mina goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES Storm! The fans fire up as Mina hurries back to the ring. AZM is there to PENALTY KICK her from the apron! CROSSBODY for Storm again! AZM goes to the apron but Skye SUPERKICKS her! Skye climbs, and she SUPER CROSSBODIES all three opponents! The fans are thunderous for their hometown girl, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Skye drags Storm up and SMACKS her off the apron, then sends Mina into railing! Skye drags AZM up, sends her into railing on the other side, then goes back for Storm. Storm kicks Skye and sends her into railing! Storm talks trash but Mina CLUBS Storm! Mina sends Storm into railing now! AZM kicks Mina, and AZM sends Mina into railing! But Skye kicks AZM and sends her into railing! Everyone’s getting railed and Skye puts AZM in the ring. Mina sends Skye into railing! Storm kicks Mina and CHOPS her against railing! Backstage interview with MJF and MVP.
Renee congratulates them on MJF officially being accepted into the Hurt Syndicate. How is he feeling right now? MJF says he is feeling great! He hurts people! He won the lottery! Now just to get his lawyer, Mark Sterling, to go over the contract, and everything is fine. Wait, MJF’s lawyer? Yeah, just one second. MJF calls “Smart Mark” over, and Mark says hi, he’s glad to finally meet MVP. MVP refuses the handshake and MJF tells Mark to just take a quick walk. Mark leaves and MJF asks MVP what’s wrong. MVP asks why MJF needs his lawyer on this. MJF says this is just business. Would MVP ever sign a contract without having a lawyer look it over?
MVP says no, he wouldn’t. He understands it’s just business. They shake hands and MJF says let’s go! They head out together, will Sterling help them iron out all the details?
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuiness are in the ring.
Schiavone welcomes us and introduces his commentary partner for Collision. Schiavone brings up last week, the special Thursday Night Collision, how things got out of hand near the end of the program. Nigel got involved, and he still has something on his mind, so the floor is his. Nigel says he’ll make this nice and quick. First, he apologizes to Schiavone, because he ended up doing exactly what he told Schiavone not to do, and that was get in the ring as an announcer. The other person Nigel needs to apologize to is Daniel Garcia. Chicago cheers as Garcia makes his entrance and joins the others in the ring.
Nigel tells Garcia that we all saw what happened last week. Nigel let his ego get the better of him as he let Dax Harwood goad him into interrupting that match, which cost Garcia the win. From the bottom of his heart, Nigel apologizes. He realized his place is beside Schiavone at the desk, not in this ring. Garcia tells Nigel that he can keep the apology to himself. Oh? Garcia says he did what Nigel was supposed to do. FTR disrespected him, and Nigel stood up for himself. The fans cheer that! Garcia says FTR tried to end Garcia’s career, tried to end Adam Copeland’s career, and if given the opportunity, they’d try to end Nigel’s career, too.
Garcia says the thing is, he will fight FTR regardless, with or without help. So Nigel could turn his back on Garcia, act like he’s no longer a wrestler, go back to the desk, but Garcia is going to fight with or without Nigel. But it’d be an absolute honor for Nigel to fight FTR with Garcia! But then Stokely Hathaway walks out here, and says, “I cannot believe what I am seeing: Two burnouts glazing each other over which is the bigger disappointment.” The fans boo but #BigStoke says FTR is NOT here tonight. But as their agent, he is here to speak on their behalf. Nigel, what you did last week was reprehensible and egregious!
Nigel almost broke Dax’s jaw, and he just about separated Cash’s shoulder. So Nigel, Stoke must ask, “What the hell is your problem?!” Nigel says, “What’s my problem? I guess my problem, Strokely, is when someone puts their hands on me, I put my hands back on them. So I guess for that, I’m so, so sorry.” Stokely mocks Nigel with an, “I’m sorry, mate! Aw… Guess what, Nigel? That apology does nothing for us. You put your hands on FTR. And you should know that when you do something bad, Nigel, there are repercussions and consequences. Dax, Cash and I, we had a little pow wow. And we decided what your punishment should be.
“Your punishment should be getting in the ring with the greatest tag team alive today, F T R! In an official match! Because in that match, they can’t be suspended, they can’t be fined, they can’t be held accountable for what they do to you and what they do to Danny Boy over here.” Garcia smirks but Nigel says, “Well, I guess that’s exactly why I don’t wanna wrestle them. I mean, let’s be honest. They’re ten-time world tag team champions. And look, no disrespect to you, Danny, but we barely had a conversation. If I’m honest, they’d kill us.” Garcia takes the mic to say Nigel is right. FTR might kill them, they might.
But Garcia has seen Nigel overcome the odds his entire career. Garcia has been overcoming the odds his entire career! And so how about they give the people something they never thought they’d see: Nigel McGuinness teaming with Daniel Garcia against FTR!! The fans cheer and Stokely says y’know what? Nigel doesn’t have to wrestle. He can just do what he’s doing: sitting behind the desk as the Al Bundy of AEW every single week, trying to relive his glory. Let’s be real, Nigel can’t beat FTR. He barely beat Hepatitis! The fans boo, but then FTR ATTACKS! They WERE here all along! SHATTER MACHINE for Garcia!!

Joe whips corner to corner, Moxley reverses, then Moxley runs in and LARIATS! Moxley climbs up and he stands on Joe’s chest! Joe endures as Moxley climbs up to use both boots!
Wait, now we see the rest of the Death Riders are here. Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta saunter out from the back, soaking up heat from Chicago as they go. Moxley finally steps off Joe, but Joe isn’t alone, either! “Powerhouse” Hobbs and Willow Nightingale are both here, armed with chairs! Hobbs & Willow keep the Death Riders back while Joe TOSSES Moxley into the steel! Moxley slumps down and Joe catches his breath while their teams shout at each other. Moxley sputters and now he’s busted open. Joe fires forearms on Moxley, but Moxley fires back! The forearms go back and forth, but Joe’s hit harder!
Joe UPPERCUTS Moxley, but Moxley still fires a forearm! The shots keep going, even as Moxley has a crimson mask growing. Joe seems to be running low on energy, and Moxley BITES Joe’s forehead! The ref reprimands but Moxley shoves Joe down. Beach Break returns to single picture while the fans tell Moxley he’s sick. Moxley runs up on Joe and the forearms keep going! Moxley flips Joe off so Joe fires harder shots! The fans rally for Joe while Moxley wobbles. Moxley fires more forearms so Joe just fires back! They go fast ‘n’ furious, then Joe gets the edge! The fans fire up as Joe just HAMMERS and HEADBUTTS Moxley!
Joe CHOPS Moxley, but then Moxley CLAWS Joe’s eyes! The fans boo, but Moxley goes to a corner and climbs up. Um, this is a No Escape Clause style, though. Maybe the blood loss made him forget. Either way, Joe drags Moxley off the corner to atomic drop! Moxley hobbles, Joe gives him a Manhattan Drop! And a BOOT! And then a SENTON! Cover, TWO! Moxley survives but Joe stays focused. Joe reels Moxley in, lifts him up, POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO, but into the S T F!! Moxley endures, the fans rally, and Joe grabs that arm to make it a CROSSFACE!! Moxley flails, reaches out, turns around, ROPEBREAK!!
The ref tells Joe to let go and Joe obeys. The fans boo, Joe should’ve just kept it until Moxley passed out. Moxley hobbles away but Joe is on him. Joe SMACKS Moxley off buckles, then he hauls Moxley up top. Joe tucks Moxley in, but Moxley CLAWS at Joe’s face! And BITES Joe’s nose!! The fans boo but Moxley stops so he can leap. Joe gets under, Moxley comes back and LARIATS! Moxley runs but Joe stands his ground! Moxley LARIATS, Joe stays up, so Moxley SLAPS Joe again and again! Moxley fires a flurry of forearms, then runs, but into a BOOT! Moxley comes back with a CUTTER!! Moxley crawls to a cover, TWO!!
Moxley keeps hold for an ARMBAR! Joe clasps hands to fight that off! Joe fights around, Moxley stomps away, then turns Joe over for a BULLDOG CHOKE!! Joe endures and Moxley has a full crimson mask as he pulls on the hold! Joe is fading so the ref checks on him. The hand drops once! The hand drops twice! The hand- NO, Joe revives! Joe fights up, shoves Moxley away, then fireman’s carries, but Moxley slips free! Moxley kicks low, underhooks, PARADIGM SHIFT!! Cover, TWO?!?! Joe survives and shocks everyone! Moxley is furious and gets in the ref’s face! The ref says the count was fair, that’s just how tough Joe is!
Moxley seethes as he storms back over. Moxley vows to end this and he drags Joe to his feet. Moxley underhooks again, but Joe wrenches out! COQUINA CLUTCH!!! Moxley flails, reaches out, but now the Death Riders spring into action! They climb the cage! Willow YANKS Marina down, Joe RAMS Moxley into the cage to knock Claudio down onto them! Joe lets Moxley go and looks at Yuta. Yuta freezes in his tracks, and Hobbs YANKS Yuta down! Yuta runs away but Hobbs gives chase! Hobbs reels Yuta in, URENAGE through the timekeeper’s table! The fans are thunderous as The Opps have evened things up with The Death Riders!
Joe nods, and he goes back for Moxley, but who is this hopping the railing? The man in the hoodie slides the briefcase in for Moxley! THAT’S GABE KIDD!!! And Moxley CLOBBERS Joe with the briefcase!!! Cover, Moxley wins!!
Winner: Jon Moxley, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
The fans boo as the Mad Man helps The Maniac stay on top. Gabe taunts Hobbs into coming after him, and Hobbs certainly goes after Gabe. But Claudio SMACKS Hobbs in the back with a chair! Hobbs doesn’t flinch!! Hobbs turns around to glare at Claudio, the fans tell Claudio he messed up, but Gabe LOW BLOWS Hobbs! And Claudio SMACKS Hobbs again! Hobbs goes down but Claudio SMACKS him again and again! Then Claudio & Gabe RAM Hobbs into the apron! Marina RAMS Willow into railing! The fans boo as The Death Riders still stand tall, and Gabe joins Moxley in the ring. Gabe helps Moxley stand, and here come the Young Bucks!
The fans boo as our EVPs, Matthew & Nicholas, strut out here and applaud this main event. Matt even has a big remote in his hands? The Bucks join Moxley, Marina and Gabe in the ring. Nick offers a handshake, but wait! Kenny Omega is here! The Cleaner dodges Claudio and V-TRIGGERS Yuta! Then he brawls with Claudio before sending him into railing! Kenny eggs everyone else on, but here comes Okada! BODY BLOW!! The fans boo as The Rainmaker grins, and then he sends Omega into the ring! Okada says press the button, so Matt presses the button. The cage is coming back down!? The Death Riders drag Omega into the ring so they can beat up on him AND Joe!
The fans boo but Speedball runs up to kick away on Okada! There’s no stopping the rest of the Death Riders and Elite, though! E V P TRIGGER for Joe!! Then they feed Omega to Moxley’s PARADIGM SHIFT!! Moxley has finally accepted the Bucks as they help him beat up on their common enemies, and have even brought in a War Dog as a wild card. But “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The Realest is here, and now The Bucks have trapped themselves in a cage just for him! Swerve storms up to the cage, and he climbs right up! The fans are thunderous as Swerve aims, SUPER KILL STOMPS on the Death Riders and Elite!!
The fans are thunderous for “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as Matt hurries to press the up button! The cage lifts, the Elite and Death Riders scurry away like the rats they are, and now Swerve stands tall with The Opps. Swerve says last time he was in this ring, in this city, in this cage, he got his brains beat in by a steel chair and then dropped on a damn cinder block! You think his sadistic, psycho mind would never wanna do this again, but here he is! The fans cheer that! And Swerve tells the retreating Elite, “You think I fear anything? I realized something: I AM THE FEAR! I am the Most Dangerous Man here in AEW!
“And with you gentlemen and lady, and these gentlemen here, and this lady standing here, I think we wanna cause a little bit of anarchy.” The fans like where this is going! Swerve says Double or Nothing, Phoenix, Arizona, it will be ANARCHY IN THE ARENA!!! The fans are thunderous as now, Swerve will stand with Omega, Hobbs, Samoa Joe and Willow Nightingale against whatever combination the Elite and Death Riders wanna throw at them! Who will win and who will survive when AEW goes Double or Nothing?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite for Beach Break, both setting up things for Collision as well as Double or Nothing. Great tag team opener from Ospreay and Hangman with Konosuke and Alexander. I do like that the Faces came very close to the cliche miscommunication collision, but then they still made it work to win. At least until the Callis Family tried to beat them up after and then came the misunderstanding. The heat in that match got turned up a bit, that’ll be an awesome Men’s Owen Hart Cup finals, can’t wait to see who wins.
Great match from Ricochet VS Zach, namely in how Zach showed he can still go even with one leg. But I figured Ricochet would win and then go overboard to beat up on Zach. Good save from Mark Briscoe, and maybe Briscoe VS Ricochet will be on Double or Nothing, but it feels more like a match for TV. Honestly, what happened to building anything towards a TNT Championship match for Adam Cole? Sammy Guevara won that big money Fatal 4 Way but then proceeded to call out Cole, only for Sammy and Dustin to now pivot into a thing for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Good promo from Top Flight to get heated, and good part for Dustin & Sammy to play encouraging Darius & Dante. Great match from Top Flight VS Hurt Syndicate, but I figured the Hurt Syndicate would win. I appreciate the blatant swerve they were pulling on MJF. MJF thought he was gonna get beat up but then Lashley gives him the thumbs up, and now MJF is officially AEW’s Sami Zayn in The Bloodline or Owen Hart in the Nation of Domination. And I also appreciate this got Mark Sterling back on TV. There will surely be continued tension until MJF can actually get himself a title shot.
As for the Sons of Texas, good promo to set up a contenders match, but they’re of course going to beat CRU. Lio & Action continue to be chihuahuas barking at bigger dogs. At the same time, Dustin & Sammy winning to face Lashley & Shelton, they could put both AEW & ROH tag titles on the line. The problem there is, if Lashley & Shelton win, that tanks the ROH Tag Division because Lashley & Shelton aren’t ever showing up on Honor Club. A silver lining might be that Sammy and Dustin break up so Sammy can actually follow through on that TNT Championship feud tease. Well, that’d probably mean Sammy finally turns on Dustin but it feels too late to matter.
Great promo from Nigel and Garcia with Stokely, and of course FTR were secretly in the building. Menard makes a great save, and now we’ll get a great tag match of FTR VS Nigel & Garcia. This could still give us Cope’s return, but I bet Nigel gets to look great even in a losing effort. Awesome Fatal 4 Way match, and that was a great way for Mina to win in her return to AEW. Toni VS Mina for Double or Nothing will be great, but I feel Toni will retain. Mone going after AZM was fitting, and it also gave Hayter a reason to go after Mone. Mone VS Hayter could still be up in the air, so next week’s go-home episodes will really be telling.
And of course, a great main event with the steel cage, but I just knew Moxley would win thanks to interference. But is it just me or are ropebreaks in cage matches dumb? If this is a No Escape style cage match, then ropebreaks don’t mean anything cuz there’s no “out of bounds.” Joe really should’ve kept that crossface until Moxley passed out. And even then, it makes no sense why Gabe Kidd would help Moxley. I thought Gabe hated Mox and hated the Bucks. I guess there can be some nonsense about how after Resurgence, The Bucks talked things over with the War Dogs and got Gabe to agree to this, but it seems like they just needed someone to substitute for Pac right now.
And it sounds like they’re giving us the first ever mixed Anarchy in the Arena. It works just fine, because for one, it is obviously No DQ. Secondly, Willow and Marina can easily brawl off somewhere on their own, just as we’ve seen all these Anarchy in the Arena matches go. Also, Speedball going after Okada, that’s gotta be a Continental Championship match. Okada probably still finds a way to win, but Speedball can really push Okada to his limits.
