7. Royal Rumble 2000

Triple H’s transition to the main event was not a smooth one. He was supposed to win the WWE title at SummerSlam but that was delayed to the following night due to Austin’s issues with the Kliq. Then he would lose the title only to regain it a few times by the end of the year.

Things would finally start to kick at the start of 2000. Mick Foley was great at garnering sympathy and it was through this program that made Triple H the main event heel he was truly capable of being. The fact that it was a street fight showcased Triple H’s vicious side as well as showing how much punishment he could take.

6. Tearing His Quad

Thought by many to be the greatest match in RAW history which doesn’t get as much coverage from WWE as it should because one of the participants was Chris Benoit. The one moment that is shown is Triple H tearing his quad.

There are wrestlers who have suffered less and had to stop the match (I’m looking at you Sin Cara). Triple H not only continued the match by took a walls of Jericho on the outside.

Triple H would be side-lined for the rest of 2001 missing the Invasion storyline, but this would give way to our next moment.
