Fenix tiger feints but Morales ducks the kick to throw a haymaker! Morales turns to run but Fenix pulls him back and runs to ropes, but Morales dodges and runs to shotgun boot Fenix down! Morales takes a moment to boast before he covers, ONE!

Morales drags Fenix to the ropes and stands on his head! The ref counts, Morales stops at 4 and then stares Pentagon down. Morales mule kicks Fenix, then bumps him off buckles. Morales throws a forearm, runs corner to corner and hits a high bronco buster! Fenix sits down, Morales comes back with a CANNONBALL! Cover, ONE! Ford scrambles and gets the ropebreak, and Snow lets go quickly. Snow goes after Ford but Ford kicks the legs out! Ford throws Snow into the ropes, then clubs her on the back! Ford bumps Snow off buckles, then whips her out to whip her in hard! Ford fireman’s carries, Snow slips off and shoves but Ford dodges to BOOT Snow down! Fans boo Ford as she toys with Snow. Snow goes to the apron but Ford digs a boot into Snow’s head! Ford then goes up and slingshots out for a double knee drop!

Ford shoves Snow back in, taunts Snow, but Snow throws body shots! Snow uppercuts, boots and LARIATS Ford down! Cover, TWO! Snow grits her teeth but Ford is on her first. Ford puts her on ropes to choke her! The ref counts, Ford lets off and Kip protests. Ford turns Snow around to YANK her into ropes! Snow goes to a corner, Ford handsprings in to back elbow! The teams sort out, Reynolds starts with Dean and the two circle. They tie up, Reynolds headlocks, but Dean powers out only for Reynolds to run him over. Things speed up, Dean hurdles but Reynolds leaps, only for Dean to run Reynolds over in return! Tag to Maddux, they mug Reynolds, and Maddux clubs Reynolds. Reynolds kicks low, whips but Maddux blocks to reverse. Maddux hurdles, hurdles and scoops for a POWERSLAM! Maddux runs at Reynolds in an open corner for a BIG corner clothesline! Maddux suplexes and holds Reynolds up to walk around! Maddux waits until a count of 10 to SLAM Reynolds down! Cover, ONE!!

Maddux keeps his cool as he whips Reynolds to ropes. Reynolds stops himself, kicks back and tags Silver. The Numbers grab Maddux but he explodes out of the facelocks! The bell rings and Jay circles with Allure. They tie up, Jay shoves Allure down hard then fixes her hair. Jay dares Allure to bring it, and Allure gets around for a waistlock. Jay elbows out hard, wrenches and throws Allure down with an arm-drag. Jay shifts to get a chinbar as part of the armlock. Allure fights up, throws knees and forearms but Jay ROCKS her with a right! Jay whips Allure into a corner then runs in to HEEL KICK her down! Jay runs side to side and rolls to KICK Allure in the face! Fans boo but Jay bumps Allure off buckles, then throws forearms and stomps. The ref counts, Jay lets off and fans boo, but Allure puts Jay in the corner to CHOP and CHOP and stomp away!

Allure fires up and fans fire up with her as she runs back after Jay. Allure whips corner to corner, runs in but Jay slips out and Allure gets buckles! Jay spins to HEEL KICK again! Jay drags Allure up, wrenches and HOOK KICKS yet again! Jay drags Allure back up, has the arms, and falls back for a DEEP Motorcycle Stretch, then the QUEENSLAYER CLUTCH! Allure taps, Jay wins!

AEW Dark presents The Waiting Room!

Rebel wants us all to smile, and she introduces The Doctor, Britt Baker! Britt thanks the audience that they’re so kind week after week. She gets right to talking up AEW Dynamite’s New Year’s Smash. First off, Brian Cage VS Darby Allin for the TNT Championship. Taz says Darby is a paper champion, and Britt is ready to see Cage fold Darby up like emo origami. But let’s get serious. There’s the AEW World Championship, Omega VS Fenix. The only unfortunate comment she has is that every other company’s world title match will look like dogs*it compared to this one. There is no competing, sorry about your luck.

Britt is happy to welcome back Jon Moxley! And she will apologize on behalf of AEW that he couldn’t even share a baby announcement without Cody Rhodes trying to steal his spotlight. This is AEW, that’s just what happens. Britt welcomes this week’s guest, and they could not be more excited. Don’t slip now, Rebel! It’s Matt Sydal! Rebel gets the door for Sydal and then hands him a mic. Britt thanks Sydal for coming to the show, and no one will ever forget his “slick” debut. No one will ever joke about it. Sydal admits he does still feel like a Shockmaster. “When you slip like that, your whole life flashes right before your eyes. It is an experience that brings you one step closer to transcendence.”

Well moving past the slip, talk about his record now. He’s slipping upwards because now he’s on The Waiting Room! But his record isn’t flawless, he has some losses, but he’s got a string of wins. He beat Christopher Daniels. Well so does everyone. He beat Aaron Solow. Who? And Danny Limelight! That’s not a real person. But Britt admits, Sydal’s record is “super duper impressive.” Yet, he can’t win the big one. What will Sydal do to make sure that New Year’s Smash doesn’t end up like that debut splash? Well at New Year’s Smash, Sydal turns the ring into his realm. It won’t be EVP Cody Rhodes’ ring, it will be Sydal’s Realm. That will be a chance to open hearts, minds and third eyes.

Whoa, incoming mail! Rebel opens it for Britt and holds it open for her to read. “Dear Dr. Baker, could you hang this poster of The Go Big Show on the wall of your Waiting Room set? Please and thank you, TBS…?!” Well, at least they said please and thank you. Ugh, whatever, get the poster. Rebel is handed said poster, and it has Snoop Dog, Rosario Dawson and of course, Cody Rhodes. This whole company is about him, so it seems Sydal’s match is just a vehicle to self-promote. Maybe Cody should team with Burt and Sydal can get Snoop, and Sydal ‘n’ Snoop can smoke ’em!

The poster is put up, Sydal points out how he and Cody once shared a magazine cover and that must’ve eaten Cody alive. Sydal says Cody surely wouldn’t mind him opening the third eye. Sydal grabs a marker and Rebel finishes pinning the poster to the wall. Sydal doodles a third eye on Cody’s forehead. Goes to show, the ring will be Sydal’s. Britt believes Sydal, Rebel believes Sydal, the fans believe Sydal. New Year’s Smash will be Sydal’s comeback splash! And that’s all for this week, wave good-bye and good-night for Britt Baker, DMD.

Six Man Tag: Team Taz VS RYZIN, James Tapia & Nick Comoroto!

Absolute Ricky Starks, The Machine Brian Cage and Powerhouse Will Hobbs are all chomping at the bit to tear into Cody Rhodes, Darby Allin and maybe even Sting. But will the Priest of Sin, the Versatile and the Freak Beast Wrecking Ball be good enough as appetizers?

Team Taz again makes sure Justin Roberts says Cage is FTW Champion before they sort out. Hobbs starts against Comoroto for a match-up of massive men. They tie up, Hobbs powers Comoroto back but Comoroto shoves him into a corner. Hobbs comes back, ties up with Comoroto again, but Comoroto throws a forearm! Hobbs shoves Comoroto and then CLOBBERS him on the rebound! Hobbs looms over Comoroto with a snarl, then drags Comoroto up to bring him over. Cage tags in, he and Hobbs double whip to double back drop! Comoroto lands hard, scrambles away and tags out to Ryzin. Ryzin runs, dodges and calf kicks Cage to the ropes!

Ryzin fires off forearms but Cage whips and tilt-o-whirl TOSSES him! Then hits a basement dropkick! Cage drags Ryzin up, whips him to the Team Taz corner and hits a back elbow, enziguri, and tags Starks in! Starks stomps Ryzin, distracts the ref and Hobbs cranks Ryzin’s neck! Starks drags Ryzin up, Ryzin hits back but Starks ROCKS him with an uppercut. Starks throws Ryzin out then distracts the ref more, for Hook to CLOBBER Ryzin! Taz is proud of his son and Cage puts Ryzin in for Starks. Starks hits a swinging neckbreaker! Starks slaps Ryzin around then stomps him down! Starks drags Ryzin up and ROCKS him with an uppercut!

Ryzin reaches for his corner but Starks back suplexes. Ryzin lands on his feet, slips past Starks and hot tags Tapia! Tapia kicks Starks, and hits a swinging neckbreaker of his own! Tapia fires up while Starks flounders, then he whips. Cage tags in, Starks kicks Tapia into Cage’s DISCUS! But Comoroto CLOBBERS Starks, elbows Cage then slingshot shoulder tackles Cage! Hobbs gets in to SPINEBUSTER Comoroto! Ryzin missile dropkicks Hobbs and staggers him! But Starks SPEARS Ryzin! Hobbs has Comoroto for a POWERSLAM! Cage SUPERKICKS Tapia, reels him in, and hits DRILL CLAW! Cover, Team Taz wins!

Oddly enough, “Pretty” Peter Avalon joins commentary to watch this match. Is he perhaps considering someone in this match for the Pageant Provocation?

Terrell eggs Santana on, things speed up and Santana hurdles, blocks a punch and ENZIGURIS hard! Santana reels Terrell in, snap suplex for uno amigo! Another for dos amigos! Ortiz tags in and together PNP hits Three Amigos! Cover, TWO!

Ortiz keeps on Terrell with a whip, but Terrell sunset flips. Ortiz slips out, Terrell runs and hits a leaping tackle! Cover, ONE, but Terrell drags Ortiz up. Santana stares Terrell down then goes back to toy with Terrence. Terrence SLAPS back! Santana grabs the legs but Terrence kicks him away! Terrence rolls, dodges Santana and gets him for an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Fans fire up as both men are down and heading for their corners, hot tags to Terrell and Ortiz!

Terrell dodges, ROCKS Santana then collides with Ortiz! Neither man falls from the double clotheslines so they try again! And again! Terrell takes Ortiz down but brings him back up to whip and back drop! Ortiz hurries to his corner, boots Terrell back, but runs into a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Ortiz survives and Terrell calls to his brother. Tag to Terrence, but Ortiz throws big hands on Team TNT! Ortiz whips, Terrell reverses and Terrence is there, 3D!! Cover, but Santana breaks it!! Santana was barely there in time, but now Team TNT runs in. Santana throws Terrell out but Terrence hits a clothesline!

Terrence whips Santana corner to corner at Ortiz, but Ortiz moves aside and Santana stops himself. Ortiz O’Conner rolls Santana for a boost into the CUTTER! Santana feeds Terrence to Ortiz’s pop-up POWERBOMB! Ortiz swings Terrence up for Santana’s KNEE! Cover, PNP wins!

The Spanish God still says he’s The Best Ever and dares anyone to prove otherwise. Will the Extra Talented be the one to prove Sammy wrong?

The bell rings and Sammy approaches with Solow. They tie up, Sammy waistlocks and slams Solow to then float and float and pose. Sammy facelocks, waistlocks, drags Solow up, but Solow pries free to wrench and wristlock. Sammy spins, flips and wrenches back. Sammy slips through to headlock, then shifts to a waistlock to shove. Sammy hurdles over Solow but Solow sees the monkey flip coming, so he hops over, gets the legs and turns Sammy for a seated surfboard! Solow pulls back, Sammy gets an arm free then his legs to ARMBAR! Solow clasps hands, moves around, cover, ONE! Solow facelocks, Sammy powers him towards a corner but Solow turns it around.

The ref calls for a break and Solow whips his hair into Sammy’s face. Sammy keeps cool, and flips Solow off to his face! Sammy bobs ‘n’ weaves to dodge the fast hands, then shoves Solow to hurdle over and flip back over to dropkick Solow down! Sammy kips up just to show off. Solow gets to a corner as fans boo Sammy but Sammy talks trash back. Sammy CHOPS Solow, whips Solow corner to corner, then runs in to tackle and go to the apron. Sammy enziguris, springboards but Solow dropkicks him out of the air! Sammy bails out as he gasps, but Solow slingshots to PLANCHA! Direct hit and Solow gets Sammy back in fast. Cover, TWO!

Solow keeps his cool, drags Sammy up and throws haymakers. Sammy CHOPS back, CHOPS again, but Solow double CHOPS! Sammy CHOPS and CHOPS, then whips Solow to a corner. Solow reverses, runs in and elbows Sammy down! Fans fire up as Solow brings Sammy up to suplex! Cover, TWO! Solow heads to a corner and climbs up top as fans rally. Sammy stands, Solow leaps but into a KNEE! Solow flops out of the ring, checks his face, but Sammy does push-ups just to show off again. Sammy slingshots but Solow moves so Sammy adjusts from Plancha to TOP ROPE ASAI MOONSAULT! Direct hit!

Sammy says he doesn’t care where he is on the card, he doesn’t phone it in! Sammy puts Solow in the ring, taunts his peers stuck as the crowd, and then stomps Solow to a drop zone. Chaos Project VS El Cuervo de Puerto Rico & Ariel Levy!

Luther and Serpentico have been up and down, but are hoping to close 2020 on a positive! Will the Original Death Dealer and SNAKEMAN ruin the Dark debuts of The King Crow and the Chilean Star?

The teams sort out and Cuervo starts against Serpentico. They circle, fans rally up and the two tie up. Serpentico keeps low, throws haymakers and headlocks. Cuervo powers out, Serpentico goes up and over in the corner then speeds up. Serpentico dodges and ranas Cuervo to ropes, then fires off haymakers! Serpentico whips, Cuervo holds ropes and kicks Serpentico’s legs! Serpentico ends up stuck in ropes, Cuervo kicks him then springboard PELES! Cover, ONE! Cuervo drags Serpentico up to wrench, tags Levy in, but Serpentico gets away.

Luther tags in and Luther circles with Levy. Luther kicks low, clubs away on Levy’s back, then tells everyone to shut up as he whips Levy to a corner. Luther runs in, Levy dodges and Luther hits buckles. Levy whips, Luther reverses and hip tosses but Levy reverses to a takedown, SLIDING KNEE! Cover, TWO! Levy keeps moving, sunset flip, TWO! Levy throws forearms on Luther, whips but Luther kicks back to CLOBBER him with a clothesline! Luther puts Levy in the corner, tags Serpentico, and then has a new way of using Serpentico as a weapon: he scoops Serpentico and jams Serpentico’s boots into Levy over and over!

Cuervo rushes in but Luther TOSSES Serpentico at him! Direct hit and both Cuervo and Serprentico flounder about. Luther finally goes out, Serpentinco throws haymakers, then snapmares Levy down to KICK him! Tag to Luther, Serpentico again is a weapon as Luther whips. Serpentico breaks the whip and refuses to be a weapon again! Luther demands Serpentico let him whip him, but still Serpentico resists. Serpentico whips Luther, but Luther reverses and he sends Serpentico in harder! Luther scoops Serpentico again to swing and CLOBBER Levy! Then scoop slam senton! Luther covers while Serpentico writhes, TWO! Levy survives and Luther is furious!

Luther drags Levy up, puts him onto the ropes and chokes him! Luther insults Levy in Spanish then snap suplexes him! Tag to Serpentico, Luther scoops Levy for a sidewalk slam! Serpentico hobbles over, but is again a weapon! Assisted atomic leg drop! Serpentico covers, TWO! Serpentico stomps Levy, drags him back and tags in Luther. Luther stomps Levy, drags him up again, and tags Serpentico in. Chaos Project mugs Levy, they double suplex, but Levy counters to a DOUBLE NECKBREAKER! Fans rally as Levy crawls, hot tag to Cuervo! Cuervo rallies on Chaos Project with big clotheslines! Luther staggers into a SUPERKICK!

Cuervo whips Serpentico, wrenches and kicks a leg out to ENZIGURI him down! Cuervo keeps going as he whips, but Serpentico reverses. Serpentico runs in but Cuervo dodges to enziguri again! Cuervo goes out, enziguris again, then climbs up to leap for the crossbody! Cover, but Luther breaks it up! Luther DECKS Levy, then goes out to CANNONBALL off the apron! Serpentico drags Cuervo up but Cuervo hits back. They brawl, Serpentico whips but Cuervo reverses, Serpentico SUPERKICKS back! Luther tags in and ROCKS Cuervo, then BOOTS Cuervo down! Madi takes the book, flips through it quickly, but says, “This is literally the worst gift.” And she rips up pages, throws them at Leva, and LARIATS her down! Madi rains down rights while fans boo her ungrateful attitude! Madi brings Leva up, Leva throws body shots and CHOPS! Leva runs but Madi fireman’s carries for a rolling senton! Madi keeps moving to DROP down on Leva! Cover, TWO! Madi clamps onto Leva with a straitjacket stretch and thrashes Leva around. Leva endures, fans rally up, and Leva fights her way up. Leva powers out of the hold to arm-drag Madi away!

Leva is furious but Madi kicks low! Madi fireman’s carries, Leva slips out to sunset flip, but Madi stays up! Madi slaps Leva’s hands away, then jumps, but Leva avoids the seated senton! Leva and Madi both crawl, go to opposite corners, and Leva runs in to shotgun dropkick Madi! Leva is upset at the ungrateful Madi and she hits a corner clothesline! And a ROUNDHOUSE! And another! Madi staggers into a mule kick, Leva runs to BOOT her! Madi still staggers, but into a NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO! Leva keeps her focus as Madi flounders back to a corner. Fans fire up and Leva runs back in, but Madi dodges!

Madi throws Leva down, stomps her, then puts her in a corner to stomp a mudhole! The ref backs Madi off but Madi is heated. Madi goes after Leva fast, grabs the rest of the book and tears it up more while mocking Madi. Leva SUPERKICKS the book into Madi’s face! Small package, Leva wins!

The bell rings and the two talk some smack to each other given their previous match-up. The two tie up, go around, Limelight waistlocks but Sydal switches. Limelight wrenches out to hammerlock but Sydal reverses that to fireman’s carry takeover. Sydal has the arm and brings it back for a keylock camel clutch. Limelight throws Sydal down, Sydal kips up to get free and the fans cheer as the two stand off. Sydal and Limelight go again, tie up and Sydal wrenches an arm. Sydal reels Limelight in for a double arm-drag, then flips through to arm-drag again! Limelight is in a corner, he goes up and over, Sydal puts Limelight on the apron.

Limelight jumps up and walks the ropes to springboard flying arm-drag! Limelight kips up and dropkicks Sydal! Fans fire up with Limelight but Sydal dropkicks him down! Now fans fire up with Sydal! Sydal KICKS Limelight in the back, brings Limelight up to snapmare, then he KICKS Limelight again! Sydal looms over Limelight but Limelight snapmares and KICKS back! Sydal CHOPS Limelight down then KICKS again! Sydal gets Limelight’s arm but Limelight scrambles to ropes to avoid the cobra clutch. Sydal puts Limelight in a corner to CHOP then whip corner to corner. Sydal runs in to elbow, then he whips again for another elbow. But Limelight comes back to CLOBBER Sydal down!

Limelight drags Sydal onto ropes and chokes him, then kicks the rope to jam Sydal’s throat! The ref reprimands, Limelight covers, TWO! Limelight KICKS Sydal again then tells fans to shut up. Limelight KICKS Sydal in the chest, KICKS him again and eggs him on. Sydal jumps up to WINDMILL KICK! Fans fire up with Sydal, and he KICKS Limelight in the leg, chest and repeat! Sydal drags Limelight up, scoops and FISHERMAN BUSTERS! Cover, TWO!! Limelight survives but Sydal keeps his cool. Sydal drags Limelight up, hooks the arm, but Limelight blocks the Magistrol to scoop Sydal as a backpack! Sydal fights out to hit THE SLICE! Cover, TWO!

Limelight survives the leg drop DDT, but Sydal hits the STANDING MARIPOSA! Fans fire up as Sydal brings Limelight up again. Sydal wrenches, Limelight kicks the leg then throws a forearm and back kick. Limelight swings to body scissor roll, to a HALF CRAB! Sydal endures, fights up and reaches, but Limelight shifts. Sydal gets up to kick the leg! Sydal is free, Limelight gets a QUESTION MARK KICK! Fans fire up with Sydal again as he drags Limelight up. Limelight fights off the half nelson but Sydal reels him in! The bell rings and Conti offers Vert a handshake. Vert takes it, but tries to swing on Conti! Conti bobs ‘n’ weaves, then storms up on Vert. Vert apologizes while going to ropes for defense! The ref has Conti stay back, Vert comes back from the ropes, but Conti gets under the swing to ripcord. Vert gets around to waistlock but Conti spins around to break the grip. Conti sweeps the legs, rolls to get a double wristlock jackknife, TWO, and Conti is right after a Fujiwara Armbar! Vert endures, rolls to a cover, TWO and Conti gets a ghost pin! TWO and Conti KICKS Vert in the head!

Vert flounders, Conti blows a kiss and runs in to SHINING WIZARD in the corner! Double wrist monkey flip and then Conti rolls back for a double wristlock cover. TWO, and Conti gets Vert’s head for a guillotine facelock! Vert endures, fans rally, and Vert gets up to get a rope. Conti lets go, but runs back in, only for Vert to BOOT her! Vert waistlocks, Conti resists the lift and elbows out! Conti runs, Vert dodges but into an OVERHEAD TOSS! Conti aims, Vert ducks the buzzsaw but not the HEEL KICK! Cover, TWO! Conti grows frustrated but she cools herself off. Conti drags Vert up but Vert knees low! Vert throws forearms and puts Conti in a corner.

Vert whips corner to corner, Conti reverses but Vert stops herself to KICK and SUPERKICK! Conti staggers, DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES take both women down! A standing count starts, Vert stirs but Conti follows. Fans rally as the count passes 5, but Vert is up and drags Conti up at 7. Conti suddenly fires off forearms and rallies with clotheslines! Conti eggs Vert on, spins her around, drop sayanagi after drop sayanagi, then a third with a roll for a wristlock and BOOT! The teams sort out, and after rock-paper-scissors, Billy starts against Verna. They circle, feel out the grapple, then tie up. Billy headlocks, Verna powers out but Billy runs him over. Billy looms over Verna and thinks about it, but he reconsiders telling Verna to suck it. Things speed up and Verna ROCKS Billy with a right! Verna runs, Billy uppercuts back! Billy brings Verna around and runs but Verna ROCKS Billy again! Verna runs into a mule kick, then a SUPERKICK! Austin tags in and hits a throwback on Verna! Verna gets away and tags out to Baron.

Baron and Austin tie up, Austin wrenches to a wristlock but Baron spins through to wrench and hammerlock. Baron throws uppercuts and CHOPS, then he puts Austin in the corner. Baron throws haymakers and tags in Money. Austin throws hands with Money but Money whips Austin. Austin goes up and over in the corner, keeps moving and he trips Money up! Money flounders to the Gunn corner, Austin runs in to uppercut! Tag to Colten, the brothers work together, Colten whips Austin in to uppercut again! Then Colten dribbles to DUNK ON Money! Colten full nelsons for a SLAM! Cover, TWO!

Baron and Verna mug Colten but Austin and Billy throw them out hard! Verna gets barriers then the apron, then the barriers again! Billy stomps away on Verna but the ref backs him off. Billy shouts to Austin, the Gunns cheer Colten on and Colten hits the COLT 45! Cover, Gunn Club wins!

Speaking of ending, will a decorated tandem have to call it quits to end an already rough year? Or will Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian remind us all who they are?

The teams sort out, Kaz starts with Angelico, and fans rally for “S C U!” as they circle. Kaz and Angelico tie up, break, tie up again but break again. Angelico and Kaz tie up again, go around, and Kaz wrenches to hammerlock then headlock. Angelico pries out to get the wristlock, Kaz rolls and drop toeholds. Kaz headlocks back and fans cheer! Angelico fights up, pushes Kaz down and gets a hammerlock. Kaz crawls but Angelico grabs a leg and twists the ankle. Kaz endures, turns over and uses his own leg to pry free to get a headlock! Angelico is frustrated as Kaz headlock takeovers, but Angelico headscissors back. Kaz pops out, gets the leg and then arms, a crisscross clutch!

Angelico uses his free leg to kick free, then kicks, but Kaz blocks and spins him for a headlock! Angelico throws body shots, powers out, but Kaz ducks the clothesline to get another headlock! Angelico throws more body shots, powers out, but things speed up. Kaz fakes out the hurdle to fire off a kick, knee and clothesline! Kaz drags Angelico up, tags Daniels, and SCU double whip Angelico to ropes. Body shot and flipping neckbreaker! Cover, TWO! Daniels drags Angelico up to bump off buckles and CHOP! Daniels whips corner to corner and runs in but Angelico dodges! Evans tags in and clobbers Daniels! Fans boo as Evans stomps, wrenches and whips Daniels, to then jump kick him down! Cover, TWO!

Evans taunts Kaz and spins at Daniels but Daniels ducks to EXPLODER! Fans fire up as Daniels tags Kaz in. SCU double whip Evans, atomic drop and cravat to the knee, then an STO! Kaz covers, TWO! Kaz keeps on Evans with a scoop and slam, then he springboards to drop a leg! Cover, TWO! Kaz drags Evans up, DECKS him with a haymaker, then whips him to ropes. Evans reverses and Angelico gets a cheap shot in! Kaz DECKS Angelico but Evans screw high kicks Kaz down! Evans clubs Kaz, drags him for stomps, then tags Angelico in. TH2 mug Kaz, whip him to ropes, and drop toehold for the Last Chancery and PENALTY KICK! Kaz writhes, Angelico covers, TWO!

Angelico drags Kaz up, tags Evans in, and TH2 mugs Kaz more. Evans drags Kaz up to bump off buckles, then wrenches and whips him corner to corner hard! Evans runs and handsprings corner to corner to back elbow! Then a snap suplex, cover, TWO! Evans clubs Kaz down then drags him away from Daniels. Evans hooks a leg and bridges back for a MUDA LOCK! Angelico tags in and Angelico STOMPS Kaz down! Kaz CHOPS Angelico back, then ROCKS him with a right! Angelico swings but Kaz ducks to roll Angelico up, TWO! Small package, TWO! Angelico swings into a backslide, TWO! Angelico knee lifts Kaz down then tags in Evans.

Evans talks trash and he stomps Kaz in a corner, “This is the last night of SCU!” Kaz reverses the whip, Evans tilt-o-whirls into a modified OCTOPUS! Kaz endures, fights back up and swings Evans off to CLOBBER him! Both men are down but fans rally up as they crawl for their corners, hot tags to Daniels and Angelico! Daniels rallies on TH2, kicks and whips Angelico but Angelico reverses. Daniel kicks back and STO’s! Evans runs into a tilt-o-whirl backbreaker! Daniels JABS away on Evans, whips him but Evans reverses to Angelico’s scoop. Daniels slips out, dragon sleeper, and he baits Evans in, URENAGE DDT COMBO! Daniels gets Evans up for a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO!?!

Evans survives but Daniels keeps on him with a whip to ropes. Evans dodges, boots Daniels and Angelico tags in. Angelico gets around Daniels to bring him up, Evans springboards, DUMDUM STOMP BACK SUPLEX! Cover, TWO!! Daniels survives to keep SCU alive! TH2 whips Daniels but Daniels ducks the clotheslines and Kaz tags in. Daniels shoves ANgelico into Evans, then feeds to Kaz, and SCU double hip toss for the POWERBOMB NECBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Kaz hurries to bring Angelico back up, but Evans anchors Daniels’ foot! Kaz swings on Angelico but Angelico dodges and the LARIAT hits Daniels!

Angelico tags Evans in as Daniels flops out. TH2 combine, neckbreaker backbreaker combo to a COMPLETE SHOT! Evans says, “BOOM,” STANDING SKY TWISTER! Cover, TWO!! Kaz survives and fans rally for SCU more, but Evans stomps Kaz down. Tag to Angelico, Kaz fires off on TH2 with haymakers and CHOPS! Kaz runs, but into a leg sweep and low kick! Angelico scoop slams then helps Evans with the STANDING 450! Cover, but Daniels is in, only for Evans to intercept, TWO!! Kaz still lives and so does SCU! TH2 mug Daniels in a corner, whips him at Kaz, but Daniels monkey flips Kaz to DOUBLE LARIAT!

Fans are fired up as Kaz tags Daniels back in! SCU drags Evans up, and give him CELEBRITY REHAB! Cover, SCU wins!!

The Addiction doesn’t quit! They’re still going strong as ever! But then the Acclaimed attack! And TH2 jumps in! These two teams mug SCU, but here come the Young Bucks! The AEW World Tag Team Champions use the belts to chase off Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Jack Evans and Angelico! Will the Bucks and the Addiction teach these hungry, young teams about respect?

My Thoughts:

A pretty good Dark, just over two hours. All the matches were good, of course, but it was good to see Team Taz have a Six Man together as a warm-up for the eventual Six Man with Cody, Darby and definitely Sting. Hobbs, Cage and Starks are definitely a great team in both their look and on their abilities, but because it’s Cody, Darby and Sting, pretty sure the Faces win. I also liked how The Waiting Room was a way of building up Cody VS Sydal, right down to plugging The Go Big Show. Sydal should’ve used a different color to doodle on Cody’s head, though. The red didn’t show up well in the lighting, he should’ve gone with purple or blue.

And of course SCU VS TH2, with SCU’s tag team career on the line, was the main event tonight. But it being the first time and only on AEW Dark of course meant SCU was going to win. But the Acclaimed showing up was quite the surprise. Then the Bucks coming out to run them off instead of Scorpio Sky, it makes me think that first, we’re getting an 8 Man Tag. Then SCU will have a rematch with The Acclaimed to strengthen their story, and I would think SCU continues until they’re on the verge of that big win. SCU losing in a title match to then create a break up just seems like the right course of action.
