All Or Nothing: Chase U VS Out The Mud w/ SCRYPTS!
Andre Chase is in deep with Tony D, but he has a plan. If he and Duke Hudson beat Lucien Price & Bronco Nima, Scrypts will pay DOUBLE on last week’s pot, which will erase the debt with The Don! But if Chase U loses, Tony & Stacks owe Price & Nima a tag title opportunity. Will the Andre Chase Gambit save Andre Chase University? Or will they only end up in the doghouse with the D’Angelos?
Speaking of, the NXT Tag Team Champions are watching from the perch. The teams sort out and we start with Chase against Price. Fans duel, the two tie up, and Price SHOVES Chase down! Chase gets up and Price smirks. The two go again, tie up, and Price SHOVES Chase again! Price grins but Chase keeps his cool. Chase storms up, gets around, and headlocks Price. Price powers up and out, Chase ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Price scoops. Chase slips free, DROPKICKS Price, then DROPKICKS again! Tag to Duke, and Chase U mugs Price. They whip Price into the corner, double body shot, high ten to the DOUBLE CLUB!
The fans rally and duel, Duke ROCKS Price. Price blocks the scoop, throws body shots, and he reels Duke back in for more. Price swings but Duke counter punches! Duke wrenches, RAMS and wrenches Price again, to RAM him again. One more wrench, tag to Chase and he climbs up. Chase AX HANDLES the arm! Price hangs tough but Chase wrenches an arm. Nima storms in, the ref stops him, but Price uses the distraction to wrench and HOOK KICK!

Tony & Stacks discuss things while Nima covers, ONE! Chase is hanging tough, the fans still duel, but Nima says they got next! Nima ROCKS Chase and Chase ends up on ropes. Nima gets up to CHOKE Chase with a bounce! The ref counts, Nima lets off, then he stalks Chase to the corner. Fans rally, Nima talks more trash and he fires more hands. Tag to Nima, and OTM coordinates, suplex to SPINEBUSTER! Price BLASTS Duke while Nima covers, OTM wins!
Winners: Out The Mud, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championships)
Duke can’t believe it! He was the card shark, but the hot hand was taken away when Chase wanted the glory. Will Chase University ever get out of debut? Or will those tag titles soon be Out The Mud?
The NXT Year End Awards are handed out!
The 2023 Tag Team of the Year: The Creed Brothers! The 2023 Female Superstar of the Year: Tiffany Stratton! The 2023 Male Superstar of the Year: Ilja Dragunov! But now the question is, was it the Center of the Universe or the Mad Dragon who was crowned THE 2023 Superstar of the Year?
Trick Williams waits for Carmelo Hayes backstage.
Melo walks up, the two shake hands and Melo says it was so crazy and cold what happened to Ilja Dragunov last week. Trick says Dragunov is in bad shape, but will he make it to New Year’s Evil? Melo says they both know it’ll take more than that to keep the Dragon down. Facts. But Trick was thinking, he might have to push the match back. Trick wants Dragunov at 100%. What? Is he crazy? Trick didn’t hurt Dragunov! Take the shot regardless. So Melo doesn’t think Trick can beat Dragunov at his best? No, that’s not it at all. But Trick is on fire right now, so no better time to do this than now!
Melo will put it like this: five years from now, ain’t nobody gonna talk about Trick beating Dragunov at 100% or not. All they’ll be talking about is Trick Williams winning the NXT Championship. And look at LeBron James. When he won an NBA Title in “The Bubble,” ain’t nobody talking about who he beat. Just take your shot. Think about it. Trick does think about it. Will Trick go ahead and slam dunk on a damaged Dragunov? Will the damage Dragunov took even keep him away?
NXT Heritage Cup Championship: Noam Dar w/ The Meta Four VS Josh Briggs!
Supernova 11 always has his three minio- er, friends backing him up, but big bad Briggs wants to do this without Country Strong? Is Briggs taking a big gamble of his own going at this alone? Or will he prove he’s all he needs to take down Dar?
NXT returns as Briggs makes his entrance. The introductions are made, the cup awaits, and we see who brings it home for New Year’s!
The bell rings on round one, and Dar circles with Briggs. They feel things out, tie up, and Briggs SHOVES Dar! Dar scrambles away, Meta Four barks at Briggs, but he dares Dar to come back. And with that, the challenger is on the board! Meta Four hurries to get Dar to the corner to refresh and NXT goes picture in picture.
Briggs throws off his shirt, he’s getting warmed up. Dar is finally on his feet again, and the third round begins! But then Dar bails out for another breather! Briggs says nuh-uh and storms out. Dar jumps up to KICK Briggs down, and that’s the round!
Dar: 0; Briggs: 1
Halfway through and while Briggs leads in points, Dar may have scored huge there! Dar gets in the ring, thanks to Meta Four, but Briggs has no one because that’s how he chose to play this. The bell rings on round four, and Dar runs up to BOOT Briggs down! Then Dar goes side to side to BOOT! Dar then goes up the corner and FLYING FOREARMS Briggs down! Cover, TWO! Dar keeps moving, SHINING WIZARD! Briggs stays up, Dar runs to GAMANGIRI! Cover, TWO! Briggs is hanging in there and the fans fire up! Dar is frustrated, though, and Meta Four is worried. Briggs gets mad, especially as Dar SLAPS him again and again!
Dar runs, but Briggs powers up to BOOT him down! Then choke grip, to a CHOKE SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Dar survives and Briggs grows frustrated. There’s still two minutes in this round, and Briggs runs up. Dar dodges, trips Briggs, and then goes up a corner! DIVING DOUBLE STOMP to the bad leg! Then Dar runs again! Briggs choke grips again, but Dar ELBOWS free! And FOREARMS! And takedown to the CHAMPAGNE SUPER- NO, Briggs pushes back to turn kneebar into stack cover! TWO, and the KNEEBAR is on!! Briggs endures, we’re only at one minute! The ref sees that, it’s a disqualification!!
Winner: Noam Dar, by disqualification (still NXT Heritage Cup Champion)
Briggs went it alone and lost alone, all because of the pawns helping their king! Will any one ever get a win when Dar has Meta Four in his corner?
Axiom and Nathan Frazer talk backstage.
Axiom isn’t surprised by the award results so far. Frazer isn’t, either. But hey, it was still a great year for NXT as a whole! And Frazer is glad to see “that dog” Bron Breakker didn’t win. Yeah, best spear in the business, sure, but no one’s gonna vote for a guy so mean and angry 24/7. Axiom tries to warn Frazer but Bron is behind him. Frazer sighs and says okay, here we go again. Bron says Frazer should consider slowing down and thinking before he speaks. Well first of, he’ll never slow down. And second, he wasn’t saying anything he wouldn’t have told Bron to his face. Oh, okay, tough guy.
Bron will explain this: Frazer’s speed and high-flying ability would have no effect on Bron, and do you know why? Because he’s the badass of the WWE. He doesn’t need to win popularity contests. Okay, then let’s put that to the test. See if the Spear can even catch Frazer. Careful what you wish for. Bron heads out and Frazer says Axiom could’ve warned him. Bro, he was winking and glancing for him! WHAT?! But either way, will the Jersey Island Rocket be able to stay airborne? Or will he crash and burn after getting hit by the Big Bad Booty Nephew?
Cora Jade VS Karmen Petrovic!
The Punk Rock Mean Girl disrespected the new girl by just taking her locker, and no one disrespects the real-life Beatrix Kiddo! Will Karmen be more like karma for Cora’s bad attitude? Or will Cora continue to make NXT all about her?

Cora talks trash on Karmen but Karmen fires body shots! Cora throws Karmen by her hair! The fans are torn, the ref reprimands, but Karmen throws body shots again. Cora CLUBS Karmen, talks trash, then hauls her up to SMACK her off the mat! Cora paces, talks more trash, then taunts the fans. Cora SMACKS Karmen off the mat again, soaks up the heat, then runs side to side to IMPLODER- NO, Karmen dodges! Cora hobbles, into a leg sweep!
Karmen goes to the corner, Cora runs in but into a KNEE! Karmen rallies with big forearms! Karmen runs to ROUNDHOUSE Cora in a corner, then kicks her down, to LION’S BARRAGE! Cover, TWO! Cora survives but Karmen storms up on her. Cora YANKS Karmen into ropes! Then reels her in to underhook, FUTURE SHOCK! Cover, Cora wins!
Winner: Cora Jade, by pinfall
Cora grins as she turns things around as she always does: underhandedly. Cora then bullies Karmen by kicking her around. Cora underhooks again, but here comes Gigi Dolin! The Toxic Avenger runs Cora off, and Cora wags her finger. Cora says this happens on her time, but when and where will that be?
Men’s Breakout Tournament, Semifinal: Lexis King VS Riley Osborne!
The Drama King of NXT acts like he’s already won that contract, but he actually has to put words to action. Will he take one step closer to his throne? Or will Chase U’s newest recruit kick in the turbo and head for the finals?
NXT returns as Riley makes his entrance. The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, King goes for an arm and wrenches, but the fans rally for Riley. King chinbars, Riley powers through to roll, cartwheel and handspring. Riley wrenches and wristlocks to wrangle King. King fights up, slips around and whips, but Riley arm-drags to the armlock! King reaches out, but we see Trey Bearhill walking out here. King puts Riley on the ropes and then sees Trey. King HEADBUTTS Riley down, then tells Trey he doesn’t want any of this. Trey just takes a seat, and Riley fires off on King! Fans fire up as Riley whips but King reverses!
King runs in, Riley ELBOWS him away, then goes up. But King SUPERKICKS the legs out, and WOE STOMPS Riley out of the ropes! Cover, TWO! King clamps onto a HALF CRAB! Riley endures, the fans rally, and we see Thea Hail Y Jacy Jayne front and center. Riley crawls, powers up, reaches out, and the student section keeps him going! Riley rolls to send King into buckles, then Riley MONKEY FLIPS! Riley ducks ‘n’ dodges to CALF KICK! Then STANDING MARIPOSA! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up and Riley grits his teeth. King rains down fists, Thea & Jacy are worried, but King hauls Riley up. King puts Riley up top, CHOPS him again, then climbs up, Riley fires forearms in return! King and Riley brawl, King has the edge, but then Trey gets up! King says stay back, but Riley SHOVES King down! Riley adjusts, and he “U~” SHOOTING STAR PRESS! Cover, RILEY WINS!
Winner: Riley Osborne, by pinfall (advances to the finals)
Big assist to big Trey, and now King gets screwed over just like he did! Will Chase U have something to celebrate with the tournament finals? Or will breaking out be hard to do?
As for King, he wants Trey to show him mercy, then takes a swing! Trey blocks to CLUB King, and CLAW King, and CLAW him again! Fans fire up with Trey and he reels King in, whips, but King holds ropes to slither away! Denied vengeance tonight, will the bear get his paws on the snake of NXT soon enough?

Later tonight, Dragunov will announce his personal decision on whether or not the match at New Year’s Evil is still happening. That’s all she’s got. Kelly thanks Ava for that, and now we’re all waiting on an answer. Will the Mad Dragon still go through with the NXT Championship match with Trick?
Bron Breakker VS Nathan Frazer!
“That dog” heard Frazer talking crap, so now it’s time to put up or shut up! Will Frazer survive sticking his foot in his mouth again? Or will he get torn right in half by the best spear in the business?
The bell rings and Bron stares Frazer down with a smug smile. Fans sing “Bron is gonna kill~ you!” Frazer ignores that as he ties up with Bron. Bron powers Frazer to a corner, the ref counts, and Bron lets off to pat Frazer’s head. Frazer pie faces in return! Bron runs up, Frazer dodges and headlocks. Bron powers up to THROW Frazer away! Despite all of Frazer’s heart, Bron proves himself right about strength over speed. Corbin nods and says, “Very interesting.” Just what is Mr. No BS intrigued by in this match? Just what will it take for Frazer to get to the next level?
The No Quarter Catch Crew speaks.
Drew Gulak says that he’s learned the hard way that you have to finesse things a certain way here in the WWE. So if Dragon Lee & The LWO wanna step into Gulak’s world, they’re gonna have to experience just what Gulak’s learned, and that is something Gulak’s taught to every member of his crew. Damon Kemp says, “Heart will get you nowhere. You have to be remorseless!” Charlie Dempsey says, “We don’t care if you’re the future of lucha libre. All those high-flying, flashy moves mean nothing when we’re grinding your faces into the mat.” Myles Borne says, “No quarter means we take no prisoners, and we show no mercy.”
Gulak returns to say, “Adapt, survive, punish, obsess.” Kemp says “Your breaking point is our starting line.” So Dragon, Cruz, Joaquin, this is a challenge for a Six Man Tag at New Year’s Evil. Dempsey says the LWO can do all the flips, planchas and topes they want, because none of that matters. Gulak says the LWO will see NXT is a No Fly Zone, and they’re gonna get No Quarter. But which three exactly are we talking about? And will all of the technical savagery matter when the Boy Wonder and his new amigos are too fast to catch?
Briggs regroups with Country Strong.
Jensen says Briggs almost had Dar, and Fallon says he was so close. If they were out there, then maybe it would’ve been different. Yeah, maybe. But that’s not what Briggs wanted… Jensen says he knows Briggs. Two years ago, Briggs helped Jensen find his footing. And yet, it’s clear Briggs wants to win as a singles competitor. Jensen knows Briggs knows he’s right. And as for Fallon, she should spread her wings and accept Tiffany’s challenge for New Year’s Evil. Fallon would love nothing more than to make Tiffany a ranch hand for the day, make her rake out some muck from the stalls and actually get her hands dirty.
Briggs smiles and says he loves these guys. So then that’s it, right? It’s over? Jensen says hey, one last time. Hands in, and Jensen says they’re family forever. They all head out, and Country Strong is no more. Briggs and Fallon have goals, but what is Jensen to do with himself now?
Ava Raine meets with Arianna Grace.
Arianna is so incredibly appreciative of Ava taking the time. From one busy woman to another, Arianna wants to make Ava aware of the “tragedy” that occurred. She was “viciously” attacked by Roxanne Perez. You can still see the bruising on her face. But thankfully, Arianna has a very lovely bone structure as it is, but that doesn’t give anyone the excuse to assault her. Roxie has anger issues, and Arianna suggests that for the betterment of the Women’s Division, this brand as a whole, and Roxie herself, that Roxie has some anger management classes. And Arianna knows Ava cares about the safety of the roster. Oh, yes, of course.
Arianna knew Ava would understand. So what are their next steps? Because Arianna does have some ideas. Well, the next step for Roxie is that Roxie had an idea to have a match against Arianna at New Year’s Evil. Oh, goodness, bless her heart. How’d she handle HBK rejecting the idea? Um, HBK didn’t reject it, it was a great idea. So next week, Roxie VS Arianna. Good luck. Yes, that’s nice. Arianna forces a smile, but will she end up with more than a hand mark on her face after next week?
NXT holds a face-to-face of Lyra Valkyria and Blair Davenport.
Sarah Schreiber moderates as the NXT Women’s Champion and her #1 contender sit with her backstage ahead of their title match at New Year’s Evil. Sarah’s question is, what took this so long? Blair says it’s only because Lyra blew her knee out back in NXT UK. Which was actually good for Lyra because she never wanted to face Blair in the first place. Lyra says that’s not totally true. Blair’s been avoiding Lyra this whole time, until Lyra had the title. Lyra worked her way back from that knee injury, until she was the one facing Becky Lynch, and while Blair was jumping people in the parking lot.
Blair says that’s cute, but Sarah says Lyra has a good point. Blair’s methods are a bit… different. Blair says “hard work” only shows when the right people are watching. It’s not hard for people to take notice when Lyra’s on screen with big names like Rhea Ripley, Rey Mysterio, Xia Li and Becky Lynch. No, Blair had to make people take notice of her, and it worked. Yeah, until it came back to bite Blair in the butt, like when Nikkita Lyons returned to kick Blair’s head in. Don’t forget all your cowardly actions, Blair. Cowardly? Blair beat four other women in the Iron Survivor this year, 25 minutes, no one tapped her out, no one pinned her to score!
And y’know what? Lyra probably wishes anyone else won that match! Tiffany, Fallon, Lash, Kelani, they all wanted a piece of Lyra but they have to line up behind Blair, Lyra’s only competition. Lyra welcomes competition! Sarah wants this to wrap. What happens next week? Lyra says there’s no doubt it’ll be ugly. Lyra doesn’t like how Blair does things, because she’ll do whatever it takes to win this. But the difference between them is that Blair wants the title so she can call herself a champion. Lyra wants this title because she wants to be the best. Blair says that’s exactly right, and that is why Blair will leave next week the new champion.
Blair witnessed Lyra’s rise, but vows to be the reason for her fall. Lyra says we’ll see about that. See you at New Year’s Evil. The two stand up, Sarah thanks them for their time, and wishes them both the best of luck. But will luck have nothing to do with how hard both women fight?
Men’s Breakout Tournament, Semifinal: Tavion Heights VS Oba Femi!
With Riley Osborne waiting in the finals, two of the biggest and baddest in the tournament now collide! Will Tavion reach new heights? Or will he be thrown out by the former shotput champion?
The bell rings, the two tie up, and they go around. Oba powers Tavion back but Tavion slips around to waistlock. Tavion lifts, Oba fights it and ELBOWS Tavion away. Tavion gets a leg, Oba hops to the ROPEBREAK, but the ref counts as Tavion holds on. Oba BOOTS Tavion away, but Tavion comes back to SLINGBLADE! Tavion goes to fireman’s carry but Oba CLUBS away on him! Oba then rains down fists, then drops a big knee! Cover, ONE! Tavion hangs tough but Oba clinches, for an URENAGE BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Oba stays cool as he stalks Tavion to a corner. Oba ROCKS Tavion with forearms, then CLUBS him down!
Tavion staggers, Oba stalks him to a corner, but Tavion throws body shots. Oba CLUBS Tavion, wrenches and YANKS the arm, then CLUBS Tavion again. Oba kicks Tavion, drags him up, then whips again. Oba storms up but Tavion throws elbows and haymakers! Oba gets under to SHOTPUT BOMB! Fans fire up and Oba takes aim. Oba runs corner to corner to UPPERCUT! Tavion falls, Oba covers, TWO! Oba keeps on Tavion with a chinlock but Tavion fights up. Fans rally, Tavion throws elbows, but Oba CLUBS him again. Oba underhooks, but Tavion fireman’s carries! Oba fires elbows, but Tavion powers up! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!
Both men are down, Tavion stands and shoots around, to GERMAN SUPLEX! Oba flounders, fans fire up, and Tavion lures Oba into an OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! Oba bails out, the fans fire up and Tavion goes out after Oba. Tavion puts Oba in, hurries after him, but Oba LARIATS!! Fans fire up with Oba now, and he drags Tavion up. Oba whips Tavion for the FLAPJACK! Oba roars, fans fire up, and Tavion staggers into the POP-UP POWERBOMB!! Cover, Oba wins!
Winner: Oba Femi, by pinfall (advances to the finals)
And with that, the final match-up is set! Will Oba toss one more man out to break through? Or will Riley win this one for Chase U?
Ilja Dragunov arrives backstage.
Kelly apologizes but she has to ask- He says excuse him, but he is looking for Trick. Dragunov heads on, is he going to tell Trick his decision before he tells the world?
Ridge Holland tweets a message.
“I’m sorry for what happened, @UNBESIEGBAR_ZAR, this is not who I am. Get well soon.” Ridge the Fridge is not without emotions, can he get over the damage he has caused?
Joe Coffey w/ Gallus VS Joe Gacy!
It’s a battle of the Joes as the Iron King is red hot for this fight! But will he be able to rid himself of Gacy’s shadow? Or is he unable to comprehend the twisted mind of NXT’s resident Joker?
NXT returns and the bell rings. The Joes circle, Gacy dodges Coffey, and the two go again. They tie up, go around, and then break. They tie up again, go around again, but let off. Coffey fires a forearm so Gacy gives it back! Coffey headlocks, Gacy powers out and they RAM shoulders. Then they go back to forearms! Gacy headlocks, Coffey powers out and Gacy RAMS Coffey! Gacy then dodges Coffey to DROPKICK and SENTON! Fans fire up with Gacy, oddly, and Gacy whips. Coffey reverses to send Gacy out, but Gacy tells commentary that he’s Joe Gacy. Yes, we all know that… Gacy gives Vic a thumbs up, but the ref is telling Gallus to back off.
Gacy eggs Wolfgang on but Markus keeps him away. Joe Coffey DIVES and sends Gacy into the desk! Coffey stomps away on Gacy, and he says HE is Joe Coffey, remember that! Wait, so, was Gacy parodying Coffey or something? Coffey puts Gacy in, fans chant “Let’s Go, Joe!” and Gacy fires hands! Coffey throws hands back, whips Gacy into a corner, and then whips him back in! Fans chant “JOE FOREVER!” as Coffey scoops for a BACKBREAKER! Coffey snarls, runs up and goes up and up, VADER ELBOW! Cover, TWO! Gacy is still in this and Coffey grows frustrated. Coffey digs his boots in, stomps away on Gacy, then lets off as the ref counts.
Fans sing “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” but that’s technically a different Joe’s song. Gacy gets up and tells Coffey to try harder! Then Gacy fires off forearms and haymakers! Gacy whips, Coffey reverses but Gacy CLOBBERS him! And CLOBBERS him again! Gacy gets around to hit a SAIDO! Coffey flounders, Gacy runs up to whip corner to corner, then he back drops Coffey on the rebound! Fans fire up with Gacy, but Coffey bails out. Gacy DIVES to take Coffey out! Gacy hurries to put Coffey back in, then he clinches for the URENAGE! Cover, TWO!! Coffey survives, and Gallus wants in! But here comes Hank ‘n’ Tank!
Hank ‘n’ Tank drag Mark & Wolfgang down to start throwing hands! Gacy nods for the assist, but Coffey HEADBUTTS him! GLASGOW SENDOFF! And then, ALL THE BEST FOR- NO, Gacy ducks to go into the UPSIDEDOWN!! Cover, Gacy wins!!
Winner: Joe Gacy, by pinfall
Gacy wins out, proving it takes a Joe to beat a Joe! But will this Joe prove he’s no shmo and go for some gold in the New Year?
Backstage interview with Dragon Lee & The LWO.
Kelly is with the NXT North American Champion, as well as Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde, and asks them about the challenge from No Quarter. What’s their response? Dragon says of course they accept! Carnales, mucho gracias, thank you for the save. Cruz says claro que si, of course they were there for him. They’re familia! Wilde says those No Quarter Catch cronies disrespect lucha style. So at New Year’s Evil, they will show high-flying is better than ground game. But then in comes Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice, and La Madrina says they’re gonna need more room for all this Latino Heat.
They all hug it out for this mini-reunion. Feels like not that long ago that the OG Legado was running things in NXT. A lot has changed, but the LWO is very proud of Lopez. Just look at her now! And she introduces Loa to them. Hola, boys. It’s so good to have the gang back together. Will Lopez & Lola cheer on Cruz, Wilde & Dragon against Gulak and his goons next week?
NXT Underground: Eddy Thorpe VS DIJAK!
This all started with the Alpha Wolf winning in the Underground and Hard Justice not being impressed. Now it all ends with Dijak finally stepping into the ropeless ring himself! Will Dijak demolish Eddy once and for all? Or will this be where Eddy finally avenges everything Dijak has done to him?
The introductions are made for the big fight feel. The bell rings and Eddy BOOTS, then GERMAN SUPLEXES! Fans fire up, Eddy mounts and rolls Dijak but Dijak fights the Rear Naked Choke! Dijak goes for an arm but Eddy turns that around for an ARMBAR! Dijak high stacks but there are no pins, so Dijak just stands on Eddy’s face! The fans boo, Dijak stomps Eddy, then gets free of the hold to stomp again. Dijak throws hands but Eddy avoids those, to BOOT from below! Eddy fires hands, CHOPS, then more shots! Eddy KICKS and KICKS and KICKS! Dijak swings, into a SNAP SAIDO! Dijak sits up in a daze and Eddy takes aim.
Eddy runs in to- NO, Dijak catches Eddy in a choke grip! HIGH- NO, Eddy goes back to the TRIANGLE HOLD! But Dijak deadlifts Eddy, to SITOUT POWERBOMB! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Dijak rises, he rains down fists, then roars in Eddy’s face before he throws more shots! Eddy flounders, Dijak drags him up, and Dijak tells Eddy to just stay down. Eddy HEADBUTTS Dijak instead! Dijak snarls, drags Eddy up, and aims! Dijak POSTS Eddy and Eddy falls on some ringside fans! The other fans boo while NXT goes picture in picture.
Dijak snarls while he storms over to fetch Eddy. The fans get back, Dijak clamps on a choke grip, but Eddy reaches up to TRIANGLE HOLD again! Dijak stays on his feet, lifts Eddy up, and SWINGS him into barriers! Eddy’s down in the dark while Dijak storms off to fetch something else. Dijak brings the steel steps around, putting them by the desk! Eddy crawls, Dijak clears the desk, and he SMACKS Eddy with the hood! Dijak then drags Eddy up, fireman’s carries, and he goes up the steps! But Eddy fights around to a SLEEPER! Dijak has Eddy as a backpack, and he SLINGS Eddy to the floor! Eddy sputters again while Dijak catches his breath.
Dijak drags Eddy up, and SMACKS him off the steps! And again! And again! Dijak puts Eddy “in” the ring, then storms after. Eddy gets away, but then Dijak FLIES! Direct hit at the ramp! Fans fire up, Dijak drags Eddy back to the ring, and Dijak storms around. Dijak clamps onto Eddy’s neck, drags him up, but the fans still rally for Eddy. Dijak hammerlocks, but Eddy fights the sleeper! Eddy fights up, the fans are thunderous, and Eddy BOOTS, then SNAP GERMANS! Dijak staggers up, into KICK, SOBAT and GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans fire up as Eddy keeps the Strong Style going, but Dijak fights with elbows! Eddy gets under, but Dijak throws hands!
Dijak swings again, but Eddy turns that around into a BRAINBUSTER!! The ref checks Dijak, but he isn’t knocked out and he isn’t giving up. The fans fire up for “NXT! NXT!” and Eddy drags Dijak into a SLEEPER! Dijak gasps, reaches out, but no ropes means no ropebreaks! Eddy hops on, he’s a backpack again, but Dijak stays on his feet, to BACKPACK SENTON! Dijak is free, and he drags Eddy around. Dijak smothers Eddy into the mat, CLUBS away on his back while he hammerlocks the other arm! Dijak has the CROSSFACE! But Eddy fights up, and he arm-drags free! Dijak runs up, CYCLONE BOOT!!
Eddy wobbles but he’s not knocked out. Dijak aims again, CYCLONE BOOT!! Eddy falls but he’s still conscious. As such, Eddy says he isn’t done yet! So Dijak runs in again, but into a GAMANGIRI! Dijak wobbles around, the fans fire up again, and Eddy reels Dijak in! Dijak CLUBS the arms, throws elbows, but Eddy still holds on! Eddy HEADBUTTS Dijak in the back! Eddy CLUBS away on Dijak’s back, then he GERMAN SUPLEXES Dijak off the ring! But Dijak lands on his feet?!? And he drags Eddy into a torture rack! FEAST YOUR EYES!!! Dijak laughs as he leaves Eddy down. But then wait, Eddy rises?!
Dijak takes his anger out on the big and bulky fans around him!? What’s that about?! Dijak then ROCKS Eddy, runs up, but Eddy back drops Dijak on the apron! Dijak dangles over the apron but the ref sees he’s still conscious. The fans are thunderous for “NXT! NXT!” giving us this to close out 2023! Eddy gets up, but Dijak is taking off his belt! Dijak wraps his fist in it, just like in the Strap Match! Eddy is back, but he blocks the belt punch!! Eddy snarls, and spins Dijak around, MANIFEST DESTINY DDT!!! Dijak is somehow still conscious, so Eddy grabs the belt! And he LASHES Dijak! And again! And again! Poetic justice!!
The fans fire up with every LASH Eddy fires off! Then Eddy clamps on a SLEEPER!! Dijak flails, fades, but there’s no ropes for a break! Dijak powers up to his feet, and he RAMS Eddy back into a post! Eddy falls off Dijak’s back but the fans are still with him. Dijak sputters, storms up on Eddy and brings him up. Dijak reels Eddy in and tells people to move! Dijak is still aiming for the desk!? Dijak hoists Eddy up, but Eddy RANAS Dijak to the floor! The fans fire up again and Eddy hurries, HOKA HEY ELBOW!!! The fans are electric as Eddy hits another MANIFEST DESTINY, to the floor!! Eddy goes back to the ring, the ref checks Dijak, but Dijak choke grips the ref! “DON’T. STOP IT.”
The ref says okay, the match will continue. Dijak rises, so Eddy jumps on for a SLEEPER!! Fans fire up, but Dijak RAMS Eddy into the apron! Eddy stays wrapped on, so Dijak RAMS him back again! Eddy refuses to let go, so Dijak RAMS him into barriers! But that’s not enough! Dijak sits down, Eddy THRASHES him around! Dijak sputters and coughs but he still moves around! Dijak goes up the steps! Fans can’t believe Dijak is still moving, and Dijak reaches the top! He aims for the desk, but Eddy thrashes the sleeper as much as he can! Dijak grits his teeth, but then sputters again! Eddy turns things around, MANIFEST DESTINYÂ THROUGH THE DESK!!!
The fans lose their minds for “NXT! NXT!” as both men are down in the wreckage! The ref checks if either men is even awake. Eddy stands, but what about Dijak? Dijak is OUT, Eddy wins!!
Winner: Eddy Thorpe, by knockout
Undefeated in the Underground, the Alpha Wolf stands tall over Dijak! Will this finally end things between the two of them? Will this be just what Eddy needs to head for a championship?
Dragunov sits down with Trick backstage.
They’re in a conference room, a contract between them. Trick tells Dragunov that he needs to know. Is Dragunov able to strap up the boots and stand against him at New Year’s Evil? Because Trick isn’t holding back. Trick signs his part, and hands the contract over. If Dragunov needs more time, they can push the match back. Just let Trick know. Dragunov says unfortunately, Trick… Nothing and no one can stop Dragunov. He takes the neck brace off! Dragunov signs his part, and the match is on. They shake hands, and there’s nothing left to say. Who will win and start their 2024 off as champion?
My Thoughts:
What a great NXT to be the go-home to New Year’s Evil. No need for tons of recaps and hype packages, we just got a ton of story development and matchmaking instead. Great opening match of Chase U VS OTM, which I figured OTM was gonna win. Tony & Stacks VS Price & Nima is going to be good stuff, and I wonder if Chase gets himself in more trouble by trying to help Tony, only to screw things up and OTM wins. Something tells me this has to be the route, because there has to be more drama for Andre Chase within the Chase U story. On the flipside, Riley Osborne is doing great for Chase U, moving on to the Breakout Tournament finals with a little help from Trey. And just as I was thinking, Bearhill VS King is gonna happen now, separate from the tournament.
Tavion VS Oba was a great match for the tournament, too. Big meaty men not so much slapping meat as throwing their weight around. Oba is a great choice for winner here, he’s already had some time on NXT TV before this tournament, he’s probably a bit further along in presentation and character development. Riley VS Oba could probably go either way, it really depends on how they wanna play Riley’s story within Chase U and with Thea. My gut instinct is that Thea is gonna ask Riley out but he’s gonna turn her down because he either already has someone or is interested in someone that isn’t Thea.
Great Heritage Cup match, and with an actually clever finish where Dar & Meta Four gets Briggs so mad, he barely hesitates in beating Dar up with that bucket. But hey, that’s our first DQ finish in a Heritage Cup match, so check that off the list. And in a surprising move, we got an actually peaceful parting for a faction. So long, Country Strong, you had a good run. But as I said in the segment, Jensen is the one in the wind. Fallon VS Tiffany in a Loser Works for the Winner could go either way, but I feel like it’d be more entertaining if Tiffany lost and had to eat crow while struggling to do farm work. Even if it would be a ripoff of that reality show Paris Hilton did. Briggs could always get another shot at Dar, but what’s Jensen to do? Maybe also get in the Heritage Cup scene?
Good promos from No Quarter Catch Crew, which really should just shorten the name to No Quarter, and a good response from Dragon Lee & LWO. I appreciated the reunion of Lopez with Cruz & Wilde, and Lola being oddly reluctant to be there. The Six Man Tag will probably have Kemp, Dempsey & Borne in it, as there’s word a “technical assassin” with “killer catch style wrestling” from NXT is going over to AJPW for a New Year’s event in Japan. Gulak probably needs to save his energy for that match, meaning his guys will be the ones taking the loss to Dragon, Cruz & Wilde. But even then, I suspect this comes down to Dragon VS Gulak for the North American title at some point.
Great promo from Lyra and Blair to give them each one last word before their title match. I’m leaning towards Lyra retaining, maybe we see Lola tease a cash-in, and maybe we get something of Lyons reminding Blair she’s on the prowl. Cora vs Karmen was good but of course Cora wins. Gigi running Cora off was a nice touch, and Gigi VS Cora is probably also on the horizon. Good promo of Arianna getting her comeuppance by learning she has a match with Roxie. Roxie is surely going to beat Arianna, and she probably calls Kiana James out for a true blowoff. Just hope Roxie has an answer for Izzi Dame.
Good promo from Frazer, and it is apparently becoming his thing to speak without realizing he’s gonna piss off whoever he’s talking about. Great match from Frazer and Bron, but per the trend, Frazer loses. Corbin watching is what’s interesting. Is Corbin going to restart a feud with Bron? Or a team-up? That’d be wild if those two actually worked together to be a tag team and be tag team champions, something neither has done yet. I was a little surprised we got Joe VS Joe here, but it was good stuff, the fans had fun doing Joe chants, and naturally, Hank ‘n’ Tank went after Gallus. That’s gonna be a Six Man Tag for sure, but I don’t see Gacy sticking with Hank ‘n’ Thank. Gacy just got out of a faction, I don’t think he’s gonna form a new one.
Awesome NXT Underground match from Eddy and Dijak, and they really took advantage of the no ropes aspect. Great win for Eddy, I like that he is becoming Mr. NXT Underground out of this stuff, and I hope Eddy also gets towards a title match. At this point, it’d be more the Heritage Cup than North American or top title, but I’m sure we’d get some great promos between Eddy and Meta Four. And great stuff in the NXT Championship story. Melo wants Trick to go for it, which somehow still sounds like Melo’s plotting something. Dragunov of course isn’t letting his (kayfabe) neck injury hold him back, he and Trick are going to have a great match that probably could go either way, given the factors of Trick’s whodunnit and Dragunov’s neck damage.
My Score: 8.8/10

It’s really hard to know exactly who you are when you lose the matches that mean the most. But then I take a deep breath, I look at my watch, and I remember that I’m the Man of the Hour. I came to AEW to collect titles. I’m a 30-year-old piece of gold, and I pray that the people I call friends get on the same page. Collision returns and Shelton whips Komander to FLAPJACK! Komander lands hard and sputters, but Shelton stands on him for a cocky cover. ONE, but Shelton smirks. The fans rally while Shelton stalks Komander to a corner. Shelton stomps Komander, hoists him up top, and slaps him around! Komander SLAPS back! And BOOTS! Komander hurries to a corner and climbs! Komander tightrope walks the 20 feet, to then SPACE MAN MOONSAULT! Down goes Shelton and the fans are thunderous! Komander hurries to get Shelton up but Shelton ELBOWS him away. Shelton slides into the ring himself, but Komander follows. MVP is furious as Komander runs, 619! Komander tightrope walks again but has to bail out as Shelton moves! Shelton waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX! And then GERMAN SUPLEX again! Komander flounders to a corner, Shelton runs up to STEP-UP KNEE! And then a SUPERKICK! Komander gets folded up and MVP says finish it already! Shelton hauls Komander up, clinches, and hits PAYDIRT! Cover, Shelton wins!
Winner: Shelton Benjamin, by pinfall
MVP stands with Shelton in the victory, but Komander definitely give more of a fight than either man expected. MVP then says we should leave with a souvenir! Shelton grabs at Komander’s mask! Abrahantes gets in the ring to stop Shelton, but then he sees MVP there. MVP grabs Abrahantes by the neck! MVP LARIATS Abrahantes down! MVP may be a manager now, but he can still hit other managers hard. Will nothing stop The Hurt Syndicate from owning AEW?
Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.
Renee Paquette is with the #BornAgainKristen and says that we’re just one week away from Kris VS Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship at Full Gear. Things have already gotten out of control, from Mone & Kamille trying to run Kris over with a car, and then Kris tackles them through a wall. Once the bell rings, what can we expect? Kris says, “Anything and everything.” Mone is one of the best, will do anything she can to win, and is most dangerous when she’s cornered, where she is right now. Everything she’s tried hasn’t worked because Kris is still standing. Kris will be the one standing tall as the NEW TBS Champion.
In steps Hikaru Shida with enthusiastic applause. The Shining Samurai tells Kris that she just wants to wish her luck. It’s about time someone beats Mone’s boney ass! And when Kris becomes the new champion, Shida will gladly be her first challenger. Kris says alright, sure. But here’s another idea: Kris is always open for a challenge any time, especially against #HolyShida, the only THREE-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion. So how about this? Wednesday Night Dynamite, Shida VS Kris. Shida’s all for it! They shake hands, but will fighting Shida be a little too much before going to Full Gear? Or will it prove Kris is still The Galaxy’s Greatest?
Backstage interview with The Acclaimed.
Lexy Nair is with Max Caster & Anthony Bowens ahead of their huge Full Gear Tag Team Contenders Series match with La Faccion Ingobernable. But where is Billy Gunn? Caster asks that more importantly, where are their heads going into the match? Because Caster just has to say, as the Best Wrestler Alive, he’s feeling real confident. Bowens says for Lexy’s actual question, Billy will be here. What Caster was trying to say is that The Acclaimed do feel great, because they are one match away from joining that Fatal 4, where they will become TWO-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions in the Scissor King’s home state of New Jersey!
And when they win, The Acclaimed will celebrate with one big scissoring, because EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED! Ain’t that right, Lexy? Oh, wait, MVP steps in, Shelton Benjamin by his side. The Hurt Syndicate just wants to wish The Acclaimed luck. The Syndicate handled their business, so Caster & Bownes should handle theirs. Oh, and Max, use your size and strength. This is a big opportunity, don’t blow it. The Syndicate heads out, but will The Acclaimed win to impress MVP? Or to get back where they belong?
“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs VS Bulk Bronson w/ The Iron Savages!
The return of the Powerhouse is truly big for AEW, but all the Iron Savages are big. And Jacked Jameson wants everyone to hold on. The fat morons and skinny idiots of Albany can shut up. Jameson gives all the introductions, and looking at “P-P-Powerhouse,” all you people are expecting a meat madness match! You want meat?! Then yeah, chant it up! But here’s some news: all these losers are going on a vegan diet! There will be no meat tonight! Because they are The Iron Savages, sippin’ sauce and livin’ hoss while they take all the Low T Meatriders to #TIDDYCITY! Guess Bronson can do it, too?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Bronson pumps up and puffs up, but he’s looking lean compared to Hobbs. Bronson runs, RAMS Hobbs, but Bronson bounces off! The fans fire up but the Savages coach Bronson up. Hobbs says stop playing and bring it! Hobbs SLAPS Bronson, so Bronson really fires up! Bronson kicks low, and says, “How ’bout that, Hobbs?!” Bronson runs, but Hobbs dodges and CLOBBERS him! The fans fire up while Hobbs brings Bronson around. Scoop and SLAM, and the fans fire up with Hobbs! Hobbs then brings Bronson up to scoop and SLAM again! Bronson writhes, the fans chant for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!”
Hobbs drags Bronson up, scoops and SLAMS again! Bronson writhes while Hobbs looms over him. Hobbs brings Bronson up, but Bronson wrenches out to ROCK Hobbs! Bronson fires haymakers, then CLUBS away on Hobbs’ back! The fans rally, Bronson reels Hobbs in, but Hobbs suplexes Bronson first! Bronson flounders into a corner, the fans fire up as Hobbs headbutts buckles! Hobbs runs up to SPLASH in the corner! Hobbs says he’s got all the meat! Hobbs LARIATS point blank again and again as fans chant “MEAT!” Hobbs lets Bronson stagger about, before he CLOBBERS him!
Hobbs shakes the ropes, and the straps come down! The fans fire up but Jameson talks trash on the apron. Hobbs DECKS him! Boulder runs in?! Hobbs hits a SPINEBUSTER! The ref can’t believe what’s going on as Hobbs torture racks Bronson! ARGENTINE RACK! Bronson TAPS, Hobbs wins! And drops Bronson on Boulder!
Winner: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, by submission
Big, jacked, and ANYBODY can get it! That is the way of the Powerhouse! Will the Book of Hobbs have quite the comeback story?
Backstage interview with The Undisputed Kingdom.
Lexy is now with Roderick Strong, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett. She congratulates Roddy for getting his third win via Lance Archer. Roddy now faces MJF at Full Gear, so how is he feeling? How’s he feeling? First, thanks for all that, Lexy, he appreciates it. Second, “MAAAX! You have seven days. Seven days from right now until you’re standing across the ring from me, Max. And look, I got a lot to say, and on Wednesday, you’re gonna hear it all, but I just wanna leave you with this: Max, you walk around here thinking you’re smarter than everybody, you’re better than everybody. I don’t think you realize what you’ve gotten yourself into.
“I am the Messiah of the Backbreaker. I am a damn wrestling legend! And when Full Gear ends, you’re gonna realize that I’m better than you, and you know it!” Roddy is ready to throw it all back in MJF’s face, but will the Wolf of Wrestling have a contingency plan?
Private Party is here!
The MVP Arena is ready to party with the champs, and Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy are ready to watch the final match of the contenders’ series! Who joins Private Party, The Outrunners, and The Kings of the Black Throne at Full Gear?
Full Gear Tag Team Contenders Series: Rush & The Beast Mortos w/ Jake “The Snake” Roberts VS The Acclaimed w/ Billy Gunn!
Platinum Max of course has a diss track. “These dudes gotta be embarrassed. You ’bout to lose bigger than Kamala Harris! LFI in a title match is outta place. It’s like Mexicans being managed by Jake the Snake! I would’ve called the committee, but you’re lucky Albany’s a sanctuary city!” Bowens takes over to say, “ALBANAAAAAY~! The Acclaimed have arrived! Scissor me, Daddy Ass~!” And he does~! But Caster doesn’t? The teams sort out, and while Caster wants to, Bowens convinces him to let Bowens start. Mortos steps up and the fans sing while the bell rings. Bowens and Mortos circle, tie up, and Mortos powers Bowens to a corner.
The ref counts, Mortos lets off, but Bowens dodges the shot to fire CHOPS! Mortos just roars! Mortos runs up, Bowens dodges to CHOP, CHOP and fire forearms! Mortos puts Bowens in a corner to fire forearms and lariats! Caster protests but Mortos SMACKS Bowens! And SMACKS him again! Mortos whips, Bowens reverses, but Mortos rolls off Bowens’ back! Bowens DROPKICKS but Mortos rebounds to CLOBBER Bowens! Bowens gets up but Caster tags in. Caster tells Bowens to relax, but here comes Rush. The fans rally up and the two tie up. Rush powers Caster back, Caster turns things around, but Rush turns it back around.
The ref counts as they’re in a corner, and the two separate. Rush eggs Caster on, the two tie up again, and Rush waistlocks. Caster switches, shoves, and drops down. Rush runs up but Caster hurdles. Rush leaps over but Caster runs him over! Rush runs Caster over! The fans fire up, but Caster says hold on! Tranquilo! Caster raises the ingobernable fist, Rush is moderately amused, but then Caster sucker punches him! Rush scowls and DECKS Caster! Rush goes out to grab his favorite green cable! Mortos distracts the ref, but Caster fires hands on Rush first! And Caster uses the cable! The fans cheer as Rush tastes his own medicine!
But then Rush SLINGS Caster to the floor! Billy is upset but the ref wants him to stay back. Billy tries to point out the shenanigans, but Collision goes picture in picture.
The ref is busy with Billy and that lets Rush LASH Caster with the cable! Rush SMACKS Caster off the desk, Caster scrambles into the ring, but Rush anchors his leg. Rush drags Caster up, CHOPS him then ROCKS him, then bumps him off buckles. Tag to Mortos and Mortos SMACKS Caster! Cover, TWO! Caster toughs it out but Mortos NECK GTWISTS! Cover, TWO! Mortos stalks Caster to a corner while Private Party watches closely. Mortos SMACKS Caster again! Mortos puts Caster in the corner, taunts Bowens, and while the ref is busy with Bowens, that lets The Snake get in cheap shots!
Billy and Bowens both protest, but Mortos wrenches Caster. Tag to Rush and LFI mugs Caster. Caster goes to a corner but Rush whips corner to corner. Rush runs up and feints the dropkick to SMACK Caster! Rush soaks up the cheers and jeers while he blows a kiss. Rush drags Caster up to snapmare and motorcycle stretch. Caster endures but Jake is happy with this. Caster fights up, but Rush throws him down by his hair! Private Party doesn’t like how this is going for Acclaimed, but Rush taunts Bowens. The ref has ot keep Bownse back again, and Rush drags Caster back. Tag to Mortos and LFI mugs Caster more while Collision goes to break.
Collision returns and Caster fights up to ENZIGIRI Mortos! Mortos staggers back, Caster crawls forward, hot tag to Bowens! Bowens rallies on LFI with LARIATS, haymakers and CHOPS! Mortos roars, but Bowens sends him into the corner! Mortos tumbles up and out, then Bowens gives Rush the kick, kick, and FAMOUSER! Bowens shouts, “EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED!” Bowens then goes up and aims, SUPER CROSSBODY onto Mortos! The fans fire up and Bowens hurries to put Mortos in. Cover, TWO! Mortos stays in this, but Bowens stays focused. Bowens fires forearms but Mortos hits back.
Bowens fires a flurry, then whips, but Mortos reverses. Mortos POP-UP SAMOAN DROPS Bowens down! The fans fire up but Caster MISSILE DROPKCIKS Mortos! Rush runs up, but Caster SUPERKICKS him! Caster runs at Rush, but Rush THROWS him into the corner! Bowens DECKS Rush! The fans fire up as all four men are down! Private Party likes this, too, as Billy coaches his guys. Jake also coaches LFI, and “This is Awesome!” Mortos blocks a shot to HEADBUTT Bowens down! Tag to Rush and Rush runs at the corner, only for Bowens to dodge! Bowens CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS away!
Bowens sits Rush down, mocks the tranquilo with some scissor fingers, but that pisses Rush off! Rush shoves Bowens, the hands start flying! Rush whips Bowens to a corner, to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Rush sits Bowens down to stomp away! The ref counts, Rush argues with him, but then goes corner to corner! Feint and BOOT! Rush gives a proper tranquilo, then he has the fans fired up. Bownes runs up, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Rush puts Bowens in the drop zone, goes up, SUPER SENTON FLOPS! Tag to Caster and he goes up! DIVING SPLASH! Cover, Mortos breaks it! Mortos gets Rush to safety, then tags in.
Rush dodges Caster, Mortos ROCKS him! Rush hits a BACKSTABBER, then holds Caster up for Mortos’ MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, Bowens breaks it! Rush CHOPS Bowens, Mortos whips Caster, and then Mortos CLOBBERS Caster! The fans rally as Rush says now it’s time! But Bowens fires off Rock, Paper, Scissors SUPERKICK! Mortos CLOBBERS Bowens! Mortos then runs at Caster, CANNONBALL MISSES! Hot tag to Bowens and he hits THE ARRIVAL on Mortos! MIC DROP from Caster!! Cover, ACCLAIMED WINS!
Winners: The Acclaimed, by pinfall (advance to Full Gear)
Private Party says alright, nice on Acclaimed! Billy helps Caster to his feet, but Caster is a bit squirrely. Caster calms down, and The Acclaimed all SCISSOR FINGER~! They’re in the Fatal 4, but will Caster & Bowens be the ones to become TWO-TIME TWO-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions?
PROGRAMMING NOTE for next week!
With Full Gear being next Saturday, November 23rd, Collision takes a week off! We’ll see everyone back here in two weeks on November 30th!
Backstage interview with Mina Shirakawa.
Lexy is with the Fighting Gravure Idol and congratulates her on her win in her return. Mina says yes, she is so back to have come back here, and she is so excited for Mariah’s match. Lexy says Mina already has multiple championships, is AEW gold on her mind at all? Mina says she’s just excited for Mariah’s match. But that’s not a no… Time to dance! Mina shimmies her way on out, but will she end up wanting something more than just fun with her friend?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Lexy is now with Mark Briscoe, Rocky Romero & Tomohiro Ishii, and she notes that in a couple weeks, Dynamite: Thanksgiving Eve, it will be Tomohiro Ishii VS Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship. How is Ishii feeling? The Stone Pitbull is stone-faced, so Mark Briscoe “translates” what #BigTom is exuding with his aura. This is what he’s trying to say: Jericho, your days are numbered! You better shine that title up real nice, sleep with it real close, because soon, it’s getting up outta there! “Learning Tree my ass, you about to learn a lesson about humility! You about to learn a lesson about gettin’ your ass whooped!”
Mark asks if they understand what he’s saying, and Rocky says yeah, he’s picking up what Mark’s putting down. Rocky’s digging the energy, and he feels the intensity. But he has to know one thing: What is the word of the day? That’s a hell of a question, Rocky, because today, it is a menagerie of words! Take a basket, reach in, pull out the word of the day, and well, it’s tenacious! Tenacity! Ferocious! Velocity! Ferocity! He’s tellin’ ya, long story short, that title is coming back to the Conglomeration, courtesy of Tomohiro Ishii! Jericho, you gettin’ your ass whooped, son! RARARARA!
Mark may be fire on the outside, but Ishii is fire on the inside. Will The Learning Tree be burned down either way?
Backstage interview with FTR.
Lexy notes that this past Wednesday, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood came up short in their own Full Gear Contenders Series match. Where are their heads out right now? Cash says he wishes he had an answer, because he doesn’t really know. FTR doesn’t know where they go from here. They wish it was just one bad night, but the truth of the matter is, FTR lost those titles a little over a year ago and have had chances to get them back where they just haven’t. Maybe it’s FTR. Maybe their time has passed them. Maybe they need to reevaluate. Dax agrees. But on Dynamite, the better team won on that night.
While FTR could cry about it, or they could rebuild. Therefore, they will rebuild. This may not be FTR’s time, but it is someone’s time. It is The Outrunners’ time! And maybe after Full Gear, we get an FTRunners dream match for those titles. Boys, they’re pulling for you. Speaking of, we’re about to hear from The Outrunners right now!
The Outrunners speak.
Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd have another retro style video in old standard definition, saying they’ve got the looks and the attitude, so you know they’ve got “the stuff!” It’s a highlight reel of their match with Top Flight, even using retro graphics in the editing. You gotta have the meat! And right now, they’re sizzling! But will Truth & Turbo be prime A1 material at Full Gear? Or will they end up well done?
AEW Women’s World Championship No Disqualifications Match: Mariah May VS Anna Jay!
The Battle of the Belts was a Title Eliminator that went The Queenslayer’s way, only for The Glamour to get her revenge in the proper title match. However, all the back and forth, the bullying and the brawling, it has led to this rubber match! And as if No Disqualifications isn’t raising the stakes enough, Anna promises that if she loses, this is the last time she challenges Mariah for the title! Will this last chance be just the chance Anna needs to become The Star of the Show? Or will AEW still be All About Mariah?
Anna already brings a duffel bag of weaponry, and Nigel panics for Mariah’s sake. But Mariah came prepared with a trash can, baseball bat, and proper attire for a Street Fight. The introductions are made, but Mariah throws her can already! Anna dodges then SHOTGUNS Mariah! The bell rings, Anna is right on Mariah, and she sends Mariah into the railing! And then the steel steps! And then back into railing! The fans fire up while Anna keeps after Mariah with haymakers. Anna whips Mariah hard into railing! The Vendetta watches backstage, they seem to like Anna bringing out the violence as she SMACKS Mariah off the desk!
Anna confiscates a monitor to SMACK Mariah on the back! Mariah falls into Schaivone’s arms, and Nigel is furiously jealous! Anna SMACKS Mariah off the apron, then grabs herself a chair, to SMACK Mariah with it legs first! Anna pushes Mariah into the ring, then goes up a corner. Mariah stands into Anna’s BLOCKBUSTER! The fans fire up as Anna keeps going, and she sits the chair up nearby. Anna drags Mariah up, but Mariah fires body shots! DDTÂ onto the chair! Anna falls back while Mariah snarls. Mariah grabs the trash can and puts it around Anna! Mariah drums on the can, then goes to a corner.
Mariah climbs, Anna stands, and Mariah MISSILE DROPKICKS Anna down! Cover, TWO! Anna survives but Mariah just goes outside to look under the ring. The fans fire up in anticipation, and Mariah grins as she brings out a LADDER! Mariah pushes that ladder into the ring, stomps Anna around, then drags the ladder up. The ladder is propped up in a corner, then whips Anna, but Anna reverses! Mariah avoids hitting the ladder, but Anna has the QUEENSLAYER SLEEPER! Mariah flails, reaches out, but Anna hops on as a backpack! Only for Mariah to SENTON onto the ladder!
The fans fire up while both women are down, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Mariah sputters and coughs while she crawls to ropes. Mariah rolls out of the ring and hurries to look under the ring again. Mariah brings out a new chair, but Anna has brought out one of her own! They each slide the chairs in, and then they add more chairs! And more chairs! So many chairs! They both storm in, armed with chairs, and they CLASH! Mariah is disarmed, so Anna SMACKS her down! Anna goes for her duffel bag! Anna brings out… a crowbar, a wrench, wire, a chain, but she wants the PRYBAR! Mariah ROCKS Anna first, then THRWOS her down onto the chairs! Mariah stomps Anna, then sees all the goodies Anna brought!
Mariah picks up the strap! Mariah LASHES Anna, LASHES her again, but that just pisses Anna off! Anna blocks the shot, ROCKS Mariah, then LASHES her on the back! And LASHES her again! Mariah flounders, Anna kicks things aside to then stomp Mariah down. Anna drags Mariah up to suplex her onto the chairs! Mariah writhes but Anna covers, TWO!! Mariah stays in this, but that just means more pain! Anna stalks Mariah and DIGS the prybar into her ribs! Mariah kicks Anna away, then fires forearms! Anna eggs Mariah on, so Mariah KNEES her down! Cover, TWO! Anna toughs it out as Collision returns to single picture.
Mariah drags Anna up, for a SAIDO! Mariah then positions chairs before she fireman’s carries Anna. MADAYÂ on a chair! Cover, TWO!?! Anna survives and Mariah is furious! Mariah grits her teeth as she drags Anna up and reels her in. Anna fights free, kicks low, then has the Gory Especial! GORY BOMB onto the ladder!! The ladder doesn’t break but Mariah’s face might have! Cover, TWO!! The Vendetta is still watching, and while Taya is very animated, Deonna is very stoic. Anna goes out to look under the ring. Albany gets what they want because here comes a TABLE! Anna brings this up to a TLC as she pushes the table into the ring.
Anna hurries in to set the table up while Mariah crawls and cries in pain. Anna has the table set just right, but she stomps Mariah first. Anna bumps Mariah off the buckles, then hoists her up top. Anna ROCKS Mariah, climbs up after her, and the fans fire up as she aims for the table. Mariah fires body shots first! Mariah bumps Anna off buckles, then SUPSER SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMBS through the table!! Cover, TWO?!?! Anna survives and Mariah cannot believe it! But this is what winning the title with no safety net means for Anna! Mariah goes out, looks under the ring, and she brings out spare railing!?
Mariah pushes the railing into the ring, but she also brings some chairs over. Mariah sets the chairs up before she props the railing up like a ramp. Mariah adds more chairs, but Anna hits a BACKSTABBER first! Both women are down again, but Anna grabs herself some chairs. Anna finishes the project Mariah was working on, and the railing is now a platform! Anna drags Mariah over but Mariah HEADBUTTS first! Mariah then puts Anna on the railing, and looks to go through with her plan all along! The fans fire up as Mariah climbs, but Anna trips her up first! Anna climbs up, and she has Mariah on the very top! SUPERPLEXÂ on the railing!!!
The fans lose their minds as both women are wrecked on the steel bars! Nigel can’t bear to watch the replay! The fans declare, “This is Awesome!” Mariah rises up, but Anna flops out of the ring. Anna finds some BARBED WIRE! Anna looks to relive one of her highlights as she wraps the wire around her arm! Anna stalks Mariah, and has the BARBED WIRE QUEENSLAYER on!!! Mariah suffers and the fans say Anna is sick! Anna doesn’t care, she wants to be champion! Mariah fades, but she uses HAIR SPRAY IN THE EYES!! Mariah is free, and she reels Anna in, STORM ZEROÂ on a chair!! Cover, Mariah wins!!
Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)
Taya is upset but Deonna says it’s alright. Anna and Mariah pushed each other to their limits, but also to some dark places. The Glamour is still atop the AEW Women’s Division, and here comes Mina! Best friends get to celebrate Mariah’s victory, and then Mariah KICKS ANna in the side! Mina says no, Mariah, you already did enough! Mariah accepts that, and BREAKING NEWS from Tony Khan: Now that Mariah has retained her title, she and Mina will have their championship champagne celebration for Full Gear! Will no one ever stop Mariah’s reign of glamour?
Jon Moxley speaks.
The Maniac is with Marina Shafir in the parking lot as he says, “I’ve underestimated Orange Cassidy. I’ve pushed him in the ring before, but this sport’s about so much more than what goes on between the ropes. I thought when I broke Chuck Taylor’s neck, one of two things would happen: Either he would turn into a shaky puddle of tears, and I’d walk right over him; or he’d be backed into a corner and he’s snap back, bringing the animal out of Orange Cassidy. Neither of those two things happened, and now I see it for the first time. I don’t think he even went to the hospital with Chuck Taylor.
“He acts like he’s so sad, and that young Wheeler’s traveled down a path he doesn’t approve of, but he doesn’t care. He’s full of it. Now I see it for the first time. I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. Orange Cassidy is a snake. Cold-blooded, reptilian, unnerved. The test will be this Wednesday, when you face your beloved former student who you claim to care about. Will you strike with venomous intent? Or will you keep it clean? Cold-blooded opponent, that is a different challenge entirely, this is gonna be harder than I thought. But man, I wish I was cold-blooded. But I’m not. No. I feel everything.
“Not just the weight of the AEW World Championship, but I feel the weight of the last five years. I feel the weight of the dreams and aspirations of every single wrestler who walks through these doors. I feel the weight of everybody’s mistakes and broken promises. I feel the weight of every single AEW fan who buys a ticket and pays for parking, and takes off work, and gives us their hard-earned money, and time, and energy, because AEW is something they believe in! What AEW could be! You don’t like the way I do things? November 23rd, you’re gonna have a chance.
“Lop my head off. Let it hit the dirt and roll at your feet. Reach down and pick up that crown, put it on your head. See if you like how it feels. At Full Gear, I smear Orange Cassidy’s blood on our flag, and I plant it in the ground so hard, it will never get moved. You wanna ride with me? You wanna ride in MY AEW? We ride into battle every single day to grab pro-wrestling by the balls, and you better be ready to die on your shield every single day! And if you’re not, get out. Or you will get taken out.” The Maniac has issued his ultimatum, will Freshly Squeezed heed it?
AEW Collision wraps with the November to Remember music video.
Set to November Rain by Guns ‘n’ Roses, we look back even as far as the last time Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy feuded, which included their battle over the AEW International Championship at Full Gear 2023. There are also highlights to hype up the TNT Championship match of Jack Perry VS Daniel Garcia, and the long-awaited grudge match between Jay White and Hangman Page. Who will truly make this a November to Remember when they stand tall in the November rain?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, and I forgot that this counts as the go-home Collision with Full Gear next week. The music video recap package to end the show is really well done, and makes a good ending moment, but then it makes other promos a little redundant. Honestly, why not wait to use this as the cold open to Full Gear next Saturday? This would be an awesome PPV opening video. And good closing promo from Moxley, with good spin on Cassidy’s aloof nature. Maybe Cassidy’s cold, or maybe he’s in control of his emotions. I suppose Cassidy VS Yuta on Dynamite will give some of that away.
Great stuff with the TNT Championship story. Garcia VS Johnny was a really good match, even with MXM getting involved. Perry abducting Menard in an attempt to tow him behind the bus was wild, but I like how Garcia turned the tables on Perry. I kinda wish we got a little more of their “joyride” through Albany and New York, but maybe we get more of that on Dynamite. Either way, it feels like Garcia already has the “standing tall” part of the go-home math, meaning he loses at Full Gear. Maybe Perry will cheat his way out of the match so that Garcia can still be strong in defeat.
Really good match from Shelton and Komander but of course Shelton won. Good promo from Hurt Syndicate with The Acclaimed to keep up the recruit tease, and very good match from Acclaimed VS LFI. Good win for The Acclaimed, and you can bet that the Fatal 4 Way will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Caster was even distancing himself in his own way here, with not wanting to scissor finger before the match and other little details. Caster can turn on Bowens and join the Hurt Syndicate to start on a singles championship story with them. Lio Rush likely will, too, given his promo.
Very good promo from Conglomeration to hype up Thanksgiving Eve and the ROH World Championship match of Ishii VS Jericho. Still doesn’t feel like Jericho’s losing, though, as he really only just got the title and there’s still this idea of Jericho being responsible for ROH getting a TV deal. Y’know, the same way he’s kayfabe responsible for Collision happening so that he could be on another show separate from… Whoever he was feuding with back then. Very good promo from Roddy to call out MJF, though he literally says he’ll talk more on Dynamite so what was the point of tonight? Just filling time?
Great match for Hobbs to get back on a winning track in singles action, and the “All Star 8 Man” on Wednesday will be great stuff. I feel like Brian Cage or Lance Archer takes the loss in that match, giving momentum to Ricochet and Ospreay going into each of the Full Gear grudge matches. With that, Ricochet maybe pulls off the International Championship win, but Ospreay probably does not win because of Don Callis Family cheating. As for Hobbs himself, The Continental Classic is coming, maybe he gets in on that and really dominates. Hobbs and Okada would be a lot of fun to see, I kinda hope we get that.
Great opener from Mina VS Harley as Harley continues to build her in-ring skill and impress. I like Mina kinda dodging the question about titles here in AEW, because she doesn’t wanna give away that she wants THE AEW Women’s World Championship. Mariah VS Anna was a great main event, they really busted out some good stuff. Mariah using the hair spray was a very clever way to turn things around and help her win. Mariah and Mina having their celebration on Full Gear, I feel like that’s the moment things go sideways in this friendship.
My Score: 8.8/10

Backstage interview with Harley Cameron.
Renee Paquette is with the crazy Aussie, who keeps pawing at her, and brings up the match Harley’s made for Collision with Mina Shirakawa. Harley asks Renee, does she know what Mina has that Harley doesn’t? No, what is it? NOTHING!! Mina is beautiful, charismatic, and talented. But can she do THIS?! Harley brings out a guitar and starts to play! Harley was a musician, y’know. Oh, wait, there’s a string missing. Never mind, she’s professional! Harley starts adlibbing a Blues-esque song. There once was a little girl. And by “little,” Harley doesn’t mean young child, she means just small in stature.

Mark Briscoe VS Ariya Daivari w/ Mark Sterling!
While Chris Jericho keeps disrespecting the legacy of Jay Briscoe, it will be Tomohiro Ishii that handles him. Tonight, the Sussex County Chicken is to focus on himself and the Premier Athletes’ son of privilege. “Smart” Mark takes over introductions by saying Ariya Daivari is about to wrestle “literally the dumbest person in AEW.” Mark is so stupid, really. So please, show the world that Bridgeport is smarter than a Briscoe by reading what is right on the Premier Athletes’ brand new merch shirt: Athletes Rule. Daivari says when he says “Athletes,” the fans should say, “Rule!” and NOTHING ELSE! Got it!?
Okay, hands in. Ohhh… “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Briscoe laughs because the only dumb Mark here is Mark Sterling. But will Briscoe prove that what matters in the ring is street smarts? Or can Daivari prove that Premier Athletes don’t suck?

Briscoe wobbles, but he eggs Daivari on! Daivari runs up, into a ROLLING DEATH VALLEY! Daivari is down and Briscoe climbs up!
Sterling distracts Briscoe, and Daivari has time to hit the ropes! That trips Briscoe up! Briscoe tumbles to the m at, and Daivari hauls Briscoe up. Wait, Daivari underhooks the arms?! That’s blasphemy! But Briscoe powers up and out with a backdrop! And now Briscoe brings Daivari in, only for Sterling to get on the apron! The ref reprimands, Briscoe warns Sterling, but it’s ROCKY ROMERO that YANKS Sterling down! Daivari whips Briscoe, Briscoe reverses to TOSS Daivari! Rocky gets Briscoe the chair! Briscoe sets it up, and he takes FLIGHT! Down goes Daivari & Sterling! Briscoe puts Daivari in, climbs up, FROGGY-BOW!! Cover, Briscoe wins!

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.
Lexy Nair is with The Queenslayer and notes her AEW Women’s World Championship match set for Collision tomorrow night. It is No Disqualifications, and if Anna wins, she is the NEW champion. But if she loses… Anna will never challenge Mariah May for the title again. Anna says it is worth that risk. It is worth seeing Mariah’s eyes bulging out of her head until she passes out. With no rules, Anna is capable of anything. But in steps Taya Valkyrie, applauding and saying yes, Anna is capable of anything. But so is Mariah. And Mina Shirakawa could be anywhere. Maybe Anna wants some extra insurance? And by the way, The Vendetta does accept cash.
Anna says she can handle her business, so Taya can mind her own. Taya tells Anna okay, okay. But Deonna Purrazzo sends her regards. Stay safe out there. Anna says no, she won’t. Will Anna finally be The Star of the Show when she tears down Mariah? Or will The Virtuosa & La Wera Loca have something to say about that?

Winners: Rush & The Beast Mortos, by pinfall
This probably could’ve been over soon, but LFI likes to play with their food. But will they be much more to the point against Max Caster & Anthony Bowens?
Backstage interview with MVP.
Lexy is with Montel Vontavious Porter and brings up how he’s been watching matches here and there. Is he scouting talent? Absolutely! And as he’s been getting the lay of the land here in AEW, MVP sees so many young and gifted athletes with so much untapped potential. Some of them need motivation. Some need perhaps better management. And some just need to be hurt, beaten down again and again, to their knees. Because only when you’ve broken a man down to his knees can you teach him to stand and put him on the path to success. MVP says Swerve Strickland is a perfect example. So much to learn and yet he just won’t listen.
That is arrogance. It is that arrogance that the fans love, but it is also Swerve’s greatest weakness. Swerve thinks that one man can beat three. That is arrogance. Swerve calls himself the most dangerous man in AEW. With Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin around, that is arrogance. And arrogance, like pride, goeth before the fall. So MVP is paying attention to everything. For example, tonight, where MVP will be watching Ricochet in the main event. Oh, and that young luchador, Komander, what an impressive match. MVP likes that. And then tomorrow night on Collision, Shelton will find out exactly what Komander is made of, and what lessons he needs to learn.
The business plan has been set out, but will The Hurt Syndicate find the diamonds in the rough they are looking for? Or is it all fool’s gold compared to what they already have?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
On top of Shelton Benjamin VS Komander, and on top of the AEW Women’s World Championship No Disqualification match, Will Hobbs gets back into singles action as he takes on Bulk Bronson! With that All Star 8 Man Tag coming up, will going big be just the thing to power up the Powerhouse? Plus, relive the best of the last two weeks as the special AEW “November to Remember” music video debuts, set to Guns ‘n’ Roses’ hit song, November Rain!
Ricochet VS Dante Martin!

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Ricochet and Dante shake hands to show there is respect here. They circle, tie up, and Ricochet headlocks for a takeover. Dante headscissors but Ricochet moves around, rolls Dante, then floats to a headlock. Dante fights back up, but Ricochet wrenches to wristlock. Dante goes for ropes but Ricochet keeps him back. Winner: Ricochet, by pinfall
MVP nods, very impressed by The One & Only Ricochet. Ricochet’s arsenal certainly continues to grow, but he still shows respect to Dante. Will this momentum help Ricochet’s team take down The Don Callis Family this Wednesday Night Dynamite?
My Thoughts:
A very good Rampage, even with it being a five match night. Granted, it was clear Shida was going to win her match and LFI were going to win theirs. Well, so was Briscoe, but it was good stuff with Daivari getting a good showing and Rocky cancelling out Sterling so Briscoe would win. Great match from Rocky and Komander, too, and great win for Komander. Though, as MVP plugged in his promo, Komander is certainly losing to Shelton Benjamin, but I do appreciate the idea that anyone just floating around in the midcard could end up Hurt Syndicate material.
Ricochet VS Dante was a great main event, Ricochet of course won, but between being on Team Ospreay for Dynamite and Hurt Syndicate not leaving him alone, there are all kinds of possibilities for Ricochet. And great promos to hype up the two women’s matches we’re getting on Collision. That’s right, we’re getting two women’s matches! Harley continues to be hilarious, and I like this gag that she never has enough time to get her full madness out. Very good promo from Anna with Taya making a surprise appearance. Given Mariah is more than likely to win tomorrow night, Anna needs something outside of titles so I suppose a feud with The Vendetta could be something. Maybe it’s also a way to bring Tay Conti/Tay Melo back into story since it’d be a tag team feud?
My Score: 8.7/10
