The White Witch won last week thanks to Nina Samuels’ spectacularly timed cameo. But now she’s up against THE NXT UK Women’s Champion! Will Dawn have what it takes on her own to take on the Scary Queen of Scots?

The bell rings, the two circle and tie up, and KLR gets an arm. Dawn resists the wrench but KLR powers through to get the elbow breaker! KLR grinds on the shoulder and pulls hair but the ref reprimands. KLR wrenches to a hammerlock but Dawn pulls hair. Dawn reaches back, steps through and wrenches back to a wristlock. Winner: Kay Lee Ray, by pinfall

The NXT UK Women’s Champion didn’t need an assist from anyone on this one! “As it stands, I am the longest reigning Women’s Champion in all of WWE right now! And the women of the NXT UK roster are too busy fighting among themselves.” Just look at Piper Niven and Jinny. No one can stand to KLR, so get used to this sight. “Forever is a long, long time.” Will the Scary Queen of Scots truly reign forever?

NXT UK Media asks, “Who is Ben Carter?”

NXT General Manager, William Regal, says, “Ben Carter is an incredibly talented young man that comes from Jersey in the Channel Isles.” What caught Regal’s eye is Carter’s natural ability to connect with the fans. Ashton Smith can’t wait to see Carter in NXT UK. Gallus have been watching and are impressed. Nigel McGuiness finally saw him on tape and was blown away! This was a can’t miss prospect. Regal first heard about Carter when he was training in Seth Rollins’ wrestling school. Rollins says Carter came to the US with a dream, and “he is living that dream right now, because of how dedicated he is.”

Sky is the limit for Carter as one of the most athletically gifted performers, and is so like a Dynamite Kid or Eddie Guerrero. Carter soaks up information like a sponge, and could “live in a wrestling ring.” Regal hearing someone being trained by Seth Rollins is always a bonus because Rollins is as good as it gets. Sid Scala says Carter is one of the hottest free agents in the world, and he could’ve signed anyway, and he chose NXT UK. Nigel says it says a lot about NXT UK that Carter wanted to sign with this brand, the quality of this talent, that Carter wanted to be here. Rollins says Carter’s heart sets him apart, and he’ll bring that brand of dedication to the NXT UK brand.

Ilja Dragunov thinks back on his match with Walter.

“Probably the match of the year, 2020, in the WWE. A tiger versus a lion. I should be very proud. But I’m not. I kept my promise that I would redefine violence with that match, and I did. But… I lost.” Dragunov needs to start all over again, from the beginning. He takes off the contacts to show his true self. What will we see from THIS Ilja Dragunov as he starts on a journey of redemption?

2v1 Handicap Match: Levi Muir & Jack Starz VS Saxon Huxley!

What was just meant in jest turned very serious after the Divine Beast of the Astral Plane WRECKED these two young guns backstage! Will Muir and Starz be able to withstand the wrath of the wild eyed wanderer?

The duo sorts out and Starz starts against Huxley. They circle, Starz avoids the hands and kicks to get a waistlock. Huxley throws Starz off, they tie up and Huxley shoves Starz away! Starz tags to Muir and Huxley eggs him on. Muir and Huxley tie up, they are in a deadlock but Huxley hits low! Huxley shoves Muir, Muir rams him with shoulders but Huxley stays up! Huxley headlocks, Muir powers out and things speed up, but Huxley SWATS Muir out of the air! Huxley drags Muir up, cording holds and throws heavy hands. Huxley whips but Starz tags in! Muir dodges and helps Starz in the slingshot! But Huxley catches Starz! Muir dropkicks it over for a cover, TWO!

Huxley DECKS Muir, Starz fires off with fast hands! Huxley shoves Starz but Starz uppercuts! Huxley shoves Starz to THESZ PRESS! Huxley rains down fists from all sides then drags him up to CLUB him down! Huxley wrenches the neck, throws crossface forearms, then wrenches the neck even harder. Muir coaches Starz as Huxley leans on the hold, and Starz manages to get up! Starz throws body shots, Huxley knees low! Huxley scoops and lifts, for a ROCKET LAUNCHER! Huxley CLOBBERS Muir again, then KNEES Starz in the corner! Huxley goes out of the ring and around the way to BOOT Starz down! Huxley keeps going and he CLOBBERS Muir!

The ref counts and is up to 5 of 10 but Huxley makes a full lap to fetch Starz. Huxley puts Starz in at 7, follows at 8, and Huxley drags Starz up for a gut wrench POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Starz survives, but Huxley runs, only for Starz to avoid the elbow drop! Muir is back up and fires up as Starz crawls, hot tag to Muir! Muir fires off forearms on Huxley, uppercuts him, but Huxley kicks low. Muir ducks the discus to throw more uppercuts! Muir whips, Huxley reverses and leaps, but Muir catches him! Pop-up, but Huxley slips out to RAM Muir into a corner! Huxley whips Muir and CLOBBERS him in the corner!

Huxley whips corner to corner but Muir dodges to dropkick back! Hot tag to Starz and the two hurry to double dropkick Huxley down! Starz runs to TACKLE Huxley down! BT Sports Studio fires up but Huxley throws Starz out! Starz shoulders back in, slingshots and sunsets but Huxley stays up by holding ropes! Muir slaps Huxley’s hand away, Starz has the cover, Starz and Muir win!!

Winners: Jack Starz & Levi Muir, by pinfall

Both men get their first wins in NXT UK! But they don’t get to celebrate long as Huxley CLOBBERS them both! Huxley rains down rights on Muir but Starz hits back. Huxley knees Starz then throws him into buckles! Huxley digs his boots into Starz then CLOBBERS Muir! Huxley clubs away but here comes DAVE MASTIFF! Mastiff throws heavy hands on Huxley but Huxley hits back! They brawl around the ring, Mastiff clotheslines Huxley out of the ring! The refs keep Huxley back, but clearly he and Mastiff aren’t letting this one go! Will The Bomber bulldoze the Divine Beast?

Sid Scala meets with Piper Niven.

She shows him a video of her training in the UK Performance Center, but as she leaves, someone sneaks in and puts a trunk there? Piper comes back, opens the trunk, and inside is a chair with a message on it. Piper reads the message, and Scala says management hasn’t had a chance to look into this. Piper gives Sid the paper, and it seems to say Jinny wants a match! Piper wants it, too, so now it’s on Scala! And his decision: we will see a #1 Contender’s Match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship in three weeks, the first NXT UK of the new year! Who will be the next challenger for the champion in 2021?

NXT UK Media catches up with Dave Mastiff.

Mastiff comes across Rampage Brown, and Brown says it’s great to see someone standing up to Huxley. Mastiff says it isn’t just bullies. He’ll fight anyone who steps to him. Brown likes that. Will they both look to put Huxley in his place in the near future?

A-Kid is in the ring!

“I am the first NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion.” Not only a milestone for him, but for his country of Spain. These last few months have been amazing, as AK beat seven other men in the Heritage Cup tournament, and he defeated one of the best in the world in Tyler Bate. Bate was a mentor, and the last thing Bate taught him was that AK belongs. So the next step is very clear. “I want to prove that not only I belong with the best, but that I am the best! That’s why I challenge you, Walter, for the NXT UK Championship!” Making it here was a dream, but now it is reality.

But Walter is here! “Excuse me. The next time you step foot into MY ring, you wipe your dirty feet on the ring apron.” Walter joins AK in the ring, wiping his feet as he just said, and admits watching AK in the Heritage Cup tournament was great. AK showed off his technical ability and his passion. Walter can see AK is very proud to be a professional wrestler. “But how dare you! To stand in this ring, run your mouth like you represent the heritage of this sport! You’re not me. You’re no thing special.” Just like everyone else that climbed the ladder of success, AK’s fairy tale will end when he faces Walter.

And as a reminder, there is one thing that will never change. It is that Walter is THE NXT UK Champion! The Ring General raises the belt, then takes his leave. Will all of those proclamations be undone by A-Kid?

NXT UK Media catches up with Kenny Williams.

What is the word on his recent injury? “It is what it is. It’s not the best.” Amir Jordan checks in with Williams, and is sure they’re back on the tag title road. No, it’s not that easy, Jordan. Williams feels awful, but Jordan says this happened to him so it’s just about waiting. Williams will get good, they’ll get back on things. Jordan doesn’t want Williams to be down on himself. Williams says he could help Jordan be better as a singles guy right now. It’ll be the best for the both of them. Jordan says that’s fine, if Williams wants that. Williams just needs a few minutes to himself. Jordan excuses himself and NXT UK Media lets Williams work on his leg. Will the Lucky Yin be lucky enough to get back to 100%?

Trent Seven sits down for an interview.

“I’m pretty sure I know exactly the reason that I’m here.” They ask about the Heritage Cup, just as he knew. Seven said this was the most important moment in his career, and that it HAS to be him. “You don’t know how hard you’ve tried until you fail.” Seven and A-Kid went past six rounds and into a sudden death. Seven thought he did enough, but obviously not. “We’ve seen an entire genre of wrestler that’s completely different to anything that we’ve seen.” Seven can’t take anything away from A-Kid’s abilities and talents. But Seven might’ve put too much pressure on himself.

“I suppose there’s part of me that was so caught up in literally the heritage of it and what came before me and what I had to live up to, I was looking backwards instead of looking forwards.” Was Seven mentally prepared to be a champion? Was he mentally prepared to lead the locker room? It is a huge responsibility, and A-Kid has done it in a year. Seven has been here for five years, but he needs to live to his own expectations. There is a part of him that can adapt and overcome, and that is what his focus must be on.

Is this the last we’re going to see of Seven for some time? There are definitely things Seven knows he needs to fix, to do, to work on. But this isn’t good-bye forever. There is just work that needs to be done. So please, bear with him.

Rampage Brown VS Josh Morrell!

The rampage is about to continue! Will #TurboJoshTerry be able to slow him down? Or will he be little less than a speed bump?

The bell rings and Rampage circles with Morrell. They tie up, Rampage puts Morrell in a corner but Morrell avoids the chop! Morrell headlocks and grinds but Rampage powers out. Morrell slides under, kicks but Rampage blocks! Rampage flips Morrell, Morrell lands on his feet and ducks the clothesline, only to run into a BIG back drop! Morrell flounders and Rampage BOOTS him out of the ring! Rampage goes out, fetches Morrell to CLUB him, put him in the ring, and bring him up for a scoop and SLAM! Morrell writhes but Rampage drops an elbow! And another! Rampage looms over Morrell, drags him up and whips him to a corner to then RAM his shoulder in! And again!

Rampage digs his shoulder in, lets off at the ref’s count of 3, then KICKS Morrell while he’s down! Rampage drags Morrell up to ROCK him with a right! Morrell hits back but Rampage DECKS him! Rampage drags Morrell up, Morrell throws body shots and jawbreakers! Morrell goes to a corner, baits Rampage in and POSTS him! Rampage staggers into a dropkick! Morrell hits a STANDING MARIPOSA! Cover, ONE!? Rampage shakes out the bad arm as he staggers about. Morrell throws forearms and uppercuts and CHOPS, then whips corner to corner. Rampage reverses, Morrell goes up and over and then dodges, to hop up, but Rampage throws the rana away!

Morrell dodges one lariat but not the second LARIAT! Rampage dead lifts Morrell into the POWERBOMB! And then Rampage flips Morrell over for a dead lift DOCTOR BOMB! Cover, Rampage wins!

Winner: Rampage Brown, by pinfall

“Turbo” definitely went at high speed, but he ran into a wall! Will Rampage continue to wreck members of the roster until he’s fighting for a prize?

Sid Scala has an announcement!

The Assistant to the GM says that after the verbal confrontation, he and Johnny Saint will confirm, once both parties are in agreement, a match for the NXT UK Championship between Walter and the Heritage Cup Champion, A-Kid! It will certainly be a historic match for NXT UK in the new year!

NXT UK Tag Team Championships: Gallus VS The Hunt w/ Eddie Dennis!

Mark Coffey and Wolfgang have had these golden bull’s eyes on their backs for quite some time, but they might be facing their most dangerous challengers yet! With the Welsh Dragon in command, will Primate and Wild Boar capture the titles?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see how this title hunt turns out!

Wolfgang starts with Primate and Primate CLOBBERS the Gallus corner! Primate and Wolfgang throw hands, Primate CLUBS Wolfgang and Boar tags in. The Hunt mugs Wolfgang, Boar stomps away but Wolfgang shoves him. Wolfgang swings on Primate but Boar rams into him! Tag to Primate, the Hunt mugs Wolfgang more and Primate stomps Wolfgang down! The ref reprimands, Boar tags back in, but Wolfgang keeps trying to fight back! Primate CLUBS Wolfgang but Wolfgang shoves The Hunt! Wolfgang DECKS Boar, runs Primate over, then rams Boar to the Gallus corner! Coffey tags in, throws hands then scoop slams Boar! Cover, ONE, but Coffey throws forearms.

Boar throws forearms back, Coffey headlocks but Wolfgang tags in as Boar powers out. Coffey runs Boar over, Wolfgang hits a headlock takeover! Boar endures, keeps his shoulders up and fights up, but Wolfgang cobra clutches! Coffey tags in, ripcord shoulder tackle then forearms to the back! Coffey wrenches and Russian Leg Sweeps Boar down! Coffey brings Boar up to ram his shoulders again, but Boar blocks the back suplex and throws forearms. Coffey ROCKS Boar, Dennis gets on the apron as a distraction! Coffey lets go of Boar but Boar CLUBS Coffey! Boar and Coffey brawl, Coffey throws an uppercut, but Boar BITES! The ref reprimands but Boar RAMS Coffey into the corner!

Primate tags in, the Hunt double whips and double back drops! Cover, TWO! Primate rains down rights on Coffey, and he drags Coffey around to club him more. Primate stalks Coffey, headbutts him in the back, then drags Coffey up for a scoop and SLAM! Tag to Boar, Boar is used as a weapon, back suplex senton! Cover, TWO! Boar keeps on Coffey with a chinlock. Coffey pries at the hold but Boar holds on tighter! Boar digs a knee in, then drives in elbows! Coffey throws forearms but Boar throws Coffey out! The ref keeps Boar in but Primate RAMS Coffey into barriers! Wolfgang protests but Primate puts Coffey in for Boar’s back senton! Boar uses just knees for the cover, TWO!

Boar tries a lateral press, TWO! Dennis coaches Boar and he digs elbows into Coffey’s head. Boar chinbars then CLUBS Coffey over and over in the chest! Cover, TWO! Boar drags Coffey over, tags Primate, and the Hunt mugs Coffey again. Coffey throws forearms and CHOPS! Coffey backs Primate down but Primate knees low! Primate sucker punches Wolfgang and tags in Boar! The Hunt shoves Coffey but Coffey kicks back! Coffey waistlocks Primate but Primate bucks off the roll. Primate runs into Coffey’s UPPERCUT! Primate flops out of the ring but Boar whips Coffey to a corner. Boar runs in but Coffey moves, Boar only gets buckles!

Coffey crawls for his corner, but Boar anchors a leg, and Primate trips Wolfgang off the apron! But Wolfgang DECKS Primate in return! Coffey gets up and leaps, hot tag to Wolfgang! Wolfgang rallies on Boar and fires off fast hands! Wolfgang whips Boar corner to corner and kitchen sink knees! Wolfgang keeps moving, LEAPING SENTON! Primate returns but he gets a hip toss! Wolfgang corner crossbodies Boar, then DECKS Primate off the apron! Wolfgang goes up and FLYING AX HANDLES! Wolfgang suplexes Boar then covers, but Primate breaks it! Coffey returns but Primate throws him out.

The ref keeps Primate back as Wolfgang scoops Boar. Dennis saves Boar from the slam! Wolfgang grabs at Dennis, CANNON-BOAR at the ropes! Coffey rushes Dennis but Primate LEAPS and CLOBBERS him first! JOE COFFEY goes after Dennis! GLASGOW SEND-OFF sends Dennis into steps! The Hunt have Wolfgang down and go to corners, but ANDREWS AND WEBSTER shove them down! Revenge for what Dennis did to them! Wolfgang tags in Mark Coffey, and Gallus combines for the ENZIGURI POWERSLAM! Cover, Gallus wins!

Winners: Gallus, by pinfall (still NXT UK Tag Team Champions)

Dennis was a snake in the grass but he didn’t expect his actions to come back to haunt him! SWSC makes sure Gallus Boys are still on top! But just because they beat The Hunt doesn’t mean this title chase is over! Pretty Deadly strut out to the ring, and they say hi to the champions. Gallus dares them to do something, but Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley say they’re doing things on their time. But wait! Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith come up and throw hands! And then they throw Pretty Deadly into the ring for Gallus to take care of!

Coffey CLOBBERS Howley, Wolfgang throws hands on Stoker then THROWS Stoker! Joey says THAT is why Gallus boys are always on top! Carter and Smith, Stoker and Howley, will one or both of these teams get their golden opportunity for the holidays?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode, and with quite a bit set up for 1/7/21. I like that NXT UK is following NXT USA on these special occasions. New Year’s Evil is 1/6, so NXT UK’s response is right after. Piper VS Jinny becoming a contender’s match perhaps gives away that Jinny is winning. Piper had her match with KLR, Jinny screwed her over, and now Jinny will find a way to beat Piper again to go after KLR like what was teased over a month ago. KLR gets her own little match to stay sharp, and of course she wins. KLR VS Jinny could go either way since both are firmly Heel, but it’s hard to be sure what KLR losing would mean for her and the brand. Would KLR be the third in the line of NXT UK Women’s Champions going to NXT USA?

I called the handicap match happening but I would not have expected Starz and Muir to win. I suppose it works out fine since Huxley was a sore loser and attacks after, and then Mastiff steps in to stop him. Mastiff VS Huxley will be a great match, I’m sure, and could lead a winner to challenge for the Heritage Cup. Rampage Brown gets a good match out of Josh Morrell, and with his own interaction with Huxley before, there’s something there for Rampage, Mastiff and Huxley, I’m just not sure what. Triple Threat to name a contender to something? A team-up of some kind? I wasn’t sure what Rampage’s direction was but this is a good fork in the road.

Ilja Dragunov had a short but strong promo. Removing his contacts for those wild red eyes is quite the development, I can’t wait to see where this goes. A-Kid calling out Walter and Walter countering, that is quite a big move for the Spanish Ace. I felt like he should’ve had more time just being the Heritage Cup champion, as he’s literally had one defense against Tyler Bate. But I suppose there isn’t really anyone else in position to challenge Walter, and Walter needs to defend his title at some point, so this is what we’ve got. Walter definitely wins their match, and we wait a long time for a Rampage Brown or transformed Dragunov to be ready.

I can’t be sure, but I think Williams’ promo about his injury was worked shoot. He and Jordan seemed unsure of what to say, such as in a real situation, and it just seems like a lot of bad luck that their team hasn’t been able to get traction. The tag title main event was pretty good for being around 10 minutes, and I liked that SWSC got involved as payback. Dennis tried to get involved, they and Joe Coffey kept him from getting his way, and Gallus continues their reign. Pretty Deadly and Smith-Carter make their presences known, and I would love if this ended up a Triple Threat Tag since we’ve already seen Smith-Carter VS Pretty Deadly. There might even be a case made that we get a Six Man Tag of Gallus VS Dennis & The Hunt, even if Dennis hasn’t really gotten back in the groove.

My Score: 8.2/10

Is SmackDown feeling Ucey?

Will The OTC accept Sami Zayn?

Jimmy says no, Jey says yes, so Roman Reigns must be the tiebreaker. Will Sami Zayn’s return to SmackDown also be a return to their family?

  • DIY VS Pretty Deadly; DIY wins.
  • Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill VS Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton; Bianca & Jade win.

Roman Reigns is here!

Buffalo, New York is all fired up as The OTC steps out on stage, #BigJim Uso by his side. His shirt even has “YEET!” added to it! They raise their ones to the sky and the pyro goes off. The fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” as Roman & Jimmy continue into the ring. Roman has the mic, but then JEY Uso makes his entrance! Roman is a bit surprised by this, and Jey is wearing a red YEET shirt! The fans sing along and bounce as Jey makes his way into the ring. Jey grabs a mic, takes off the sunglasses, and says there is a lot of misunderstanding going on right now. If Roman could just hear him out, listen to what he has to say, please.

And when Jey says, “Him,” he means SAMI ZAYN! The fans fire up as now all the OG Bloodline are here in one place! The fans sing Sami’s song and chant “Sami Uso!” Jey hands the mic over to Sami, and Sami takes a moment before saying, “Look. First of all, I want to address what happened at Crown Jewel. I want you to know that that kick to the face… It wasn’t on purpose, okay? But I want you to know something. The only reason I showed up at Crown Jewel was for Jey.” The fans “YEET!” for that. Sami would love to say the only reason Sami’s here is because of Jey, but that’s not rue. Because it has been a long time since Sami and Roman have been in a ring together.

Sami thought of all the things he’d do and say if he was in the ring with Roman again. But when it was the four of them, for just a moment, it was special. It took Sami back to that special time in his career and in his life, a special time… with family. The fans cheer but Roman frowns. Sami says he won’t lie. There has been a lot here between them all, there is a part that still has a soft spot for that time as The Bloodline. And the thing is, Sami knows Jey felt it, he knows Jimmy felt it, and he damn sure knows that on some level, Roman felt it, too! And the way Sami knows that is because Roman is here now.

The only reason Sami, Jey, Jimmy and Roman are all here, is because on some level, they all want this back. But the thing is, Roman. People think the opposite of love is hate. It’s not. The opposite of love is indifference. And Sami doesn’t think Roman is indifferent here. Sami thinks Roman loves Sami. The fans cheer that! Sami calls out the smirk! He sees it! Roman is confused but Sami says it is still there! Roman remembers the old days just like everyone else! And it could be like that, all of them partying in the SUV, Sami and Jimmy doing the handshake, Jey in the back, hater of the year. Roman in the front seat, being all jacked and cool.

They could run nit all back! And here’s what Sami will do. He puts the ball in Roman’s court. If Roman wants Sami to turn around, leave, and never be part of The Bloodline again, Sami will do it. The fans boo that idea! But Sami doesn’t think that’s what Roman wants. Sami thinks Roman wants Roman, The Usos & Sami fighting together, side by side! The fans love that idea! If that is what Roman wants, then Sami will do it. Sami just needs Roman to do one thing for Sami: Apologize. Roman is really unsure now, but the fans want them to “Hug It Out! Hug It Out!” Roman wants to get this right. Sami wants Roman to apologize to Sami?

The fans are a bit torn here but Sami says no, it’s not for Sami. This apology is to Jey. The fans “YEET!” and Jey’s the one surprised now. Roman looks to Jey, Jey looks at Roman, and Roman steps forward. The fans continue to chant “Hug It Out!” Roman tells Jey, “I’m sorry.” The fans cheer that and Sami smiles. Roman is sorry he ever let Jey waste his time with this! Sami is NOT family! He’s not blood! He’s not honorary! He ain’t no Uso! Quit wasting time! This isn’t about Sami, this is about SOLO!! Roman demands Solo bring his ass out to the ring so they can handle business. Jey apologizes to Sami and Sami heads out.

But on the tron, Jacob Fatu calls out Roman. It has been so long since Roman’s been Tribal Chief, so Jacob will “lace you up.” Roman is stupid! See, there’s the Tribal Chief, and then there’s everyone else. Solo is Tribal Chief, so Roman is like everyone else. Solo doesn’t jump when Roman says jump, and Solo doesn’t move when Roman tells him to move. Solo does things on his own time. Solo will come out there when he damn well pleases. So at the end of the day, you will ACKNOWLEDGE that. The fans boo the Samoan Werewolf and Roman is pissed. Roman talks with Jimmy that they need to handle this. Will Roman still fight Solo, even when the numbers aren’t in their favor?

Roman returns backstage.

Jimmy wants Roman to hold on, but Jey catches up first. Jey wants to talk. Roman says no, but Jey grabs Roman’s arm. Jey asked Roman to hear Sami out. Roman asks why Jey even cares about that fool! Sami ain’t nothing to us! If Jey loves Sami and Sami means so much to Jey, go find Sami. Jey warned Roman, if Roman talks to Jey like that, Jey’s out. This is Roman’s free pass. Jey heads off, Jimmy asks what Roman’s doing. Roman asks who Jimmy is talking to. Why doesn’t Jimmy go with his brother? Jimmy goes the other way, does Roman need to see he is the problem?

Bayley VS Candice LeRae!

The Role Model and Poison Pixie have gone back and forth with each other as the collateral in Nia Jax’s reign of terror. But will Bayley get even with Candice and get back on track? Or will the WWE Women’s Speed Champion find her own way up the ladder?

Johnny Gargano finds The Motor City Machine Guns backstage.

Johnny Wrestling says hey, and congrats on the big win for the tag titles. Everything they’ve done in tag team wrestling, being in WWE is long overdue. Alex Shelley thanks Gargano for that, it means a lot coming from Gargano. Chris Sabin says that they can’t wait to face DIY again. Gargano wishes MCMG luck tonight. Punching Grayson Waller is one of Gargano’s favorite things to do, so have fun. Seriously, a very punchable face. MCMG head out, Ciampa walks in and asks what the hell that was about. Gargano says he’s known those guys since he was 19. They’re like brothers to him. They talked about this.

Ciampa says he does not care. Does Johnny not get that those guys only just got here and they took DIY’s spot? They took DIY’s titles! The titles that DIY got screwed out of in the fist place because of The Bloodline, with no actual rematch for! Gargano knows, and Ciampa knows Gargano knows. But whatever it takes, right? Gargano did say that, right? So tonight, DIY makes an example of Pretty Deadly! And after that, they go to the Motor City Machine Guns and let them know that DIY are taking those titles back! Ciampa storms off, and then in steps Randy Orton. The Viper is going right to gorilla!

Buffalo fires up as Voices starts playing and Orton makes his way to the ring! The Crown Jewel match between him and Kevin Owens never even started, will the Apex Predator call out the Prizefighter? Will Kevin choose to respond? We find out after the break.

SmackDown returns and…

Randy Orton has a mic as he paces in the ring. Orton’s voice is hoarse as he says, “Crown Jewel was only the beginning. I’m gonna end this s*it right now! Kevin Owens! I want you to get your ass out here right now, and I’m gonna whip your ass in front of the entire world! You hear me?! Get out here right-” Wait, Kevin walks out, no music, and with refs and producers telling him not to. He even has a new shirt, “KEVIN IS RIGHT.” The fans boo Kevin while Orton is raging. Kevin stares Orton down as Orton dares Kevin to get in the ring. Kevin turns around, only to turn right back around to head to the ring!

The fans fire up as Kevin slides in, and the brawl is on! Orton gets the edge, he has Kevin in a corner to punch and stomp, but more producers rush out here! They pull Orton back, but Kevin LOW BLOWS Orton! Kevin reels Orton in, for a PILEDRIVER!! The fans boo, the producers push Kevin, and the refs worry for Orton’s neck and back. Nick Aldis hurries out here, he tells the producers to get Kevin out of this building! The refs call for medics to help Orton, and the medics hurry with a stretcher and backboard. The team secures Orton, rolls him from ringside to the stage, and around the back. Did Kevin not just cross the line, but end an iconic career?

Cody Rhodes joins everyone bringing Orton to the ambulance, wanting to know his mentor and friend is okay. The team loads Orton into the back, and Cody rides with him. Aldis tells Cody he’ll handle things here. The ambulance heads out, what consequences will The Prizefighter be facing?

DIY VS Pretty Deadly!

We heard how determined the Sicilian Psycho is about getting the tag titles back, and Johnny Wrestling has to get his head in the game. As for Kit Wilson & Elton Prince, it seems they care more about their side project, “Pretty Deadly: The Musical.” Will Ciampa make them care when he turns them into an example for the rest of SmackDown?

The teams sort out, and speaking of, Ciampa goes right after Pretty Deadly! The ref reprimands as Ciampa stomps away at the ropes! Ciampa lets off, to then stomp away on Elton again! Ciampa kicks Elton out, then goes out after Kit! Ciampa whips Kit hard into a post! Even Gargano is in shock as Ciampa dribbles Elton off the desk! Ciampa is in a rage! The ring count is 5 of 10, Ciampa finally stops bouncing Elton like a basketball, and then he refreshes the count. Ciampa TOSSES Kit over barriers and into the timekeeper’s area! Ciampa whips Elton into steel steps! Ciampa does it again, and harder!

The fans are freaking out a bit as Ciampa puts Elton in the ring. Gargano reaches out, but Ciampa refuses to tag! Underhooks, FAIRYTALE ENDING! Cover, DIY wins!

Winner: DIY, by pinfall

That was really more like Ciampa VS Pretty Deadly 2v1. Ciampa then tells Gargano they’re getting outta here. Is Ciampa’s black heart going to be what tears the gold away from Motor City?

Candice LeRae walks backstage.

But now Tiffany Stratton walks in with a sarcastic, “Aww~. Looks like you beating Bayley a couple weeks ago was a fluke. You’re gonna have to work a little harder than that to earn Nia’s respect.” Candice counters with, “Like you did last week?” Nia storms in shouting at “Tifferson! I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Did you go to Nick Aldis and put this match together between us and Jade & Bianca?” Tiff says just imagine! If they beat the tag champs, they’d be in line for a title opportunity. Before Liv & Raquel, of course. And imagine them as tag team champions together! They would rule the WWE Women’s Division!

Uh, Nia already does. O-Of course Nia does, but Tiff- Candice laughs and says it’s a “great” plan. Almost as good as Tiff’s plan at Crown Jewel. If Candice had been there, Nia would’ve won. Tiff says no one asked Candice’s opinion. Nia says this plan better work. C’mon. Nia & Tiff head out, but will Candice find her way around Tiff to become Nia’s number one?

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill VS Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton!

While The StrongEST Duo has beef with Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez on Raw, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are clashing with the top women of SmackDown! Will Bianca & Jade make sure everyone on all brands know better than to mess with them? Or will Tiffy’s Two Woman Power Trip plan pan out?

The teams sort and Tiff starts against Jade. The fans rally up as these two stare down, and Tiff talks trash. Jade grabs Tiff to TOSS her to a corner! Jade runs up to ELBOW Tiff, then she scoops Tiff. But Tiff slips free, and SLAPS Jade! That was a Tiffy Mistake! Jade storms up on Tiff, and grabs her before she can run away! Scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! Tiff ends up in the corner, tag to Nia as Jade kips up. Jade eggs Nia on and the fans fire up as forces of nature meet. But Tiff YANKS Bianca off the apron! SAMOAN DROP in the distraction! Nia & Tiff soak up the heat, and SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns and Nia anchors Jade from reaching Bianca! Nia then CLOBBERS Jade, and clamps on a chinlock. Jade endures, fights around, and fights up. We get a picture in picture ad with Golden Corral and their Veteran’s Day Military Appreciation Night. All US veterans and active service members eat free from 4 PM until closing time. In the ring, Jade fights up, and JAWBREAKERS free! Jade leaps, but Nia catches her! Jade sunset flips, but Nia drags her back up to HEADBUTT! Nia brings Jade in, suplexes, but Jade fights to SNAP SUPLEX back! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Jade crawls, hot tags to Bianca and Tiff!

Bianca rallies on Tiff with big forearms and a DROPKICK! Bianca kips up, runs up, but TIff dodges. Tiff swings, but Bianca wrenches her to a suplex! Another kip upa nd the fans fire up again! Bianca runs in to RAM Tiff at the corner! Bianca climbs to rain down fists! The fans count along, and Bianca goes all the way to TEN, then a little more! But Tiff slips out to grab the braid! Bianca reels Tiff back in, flips up and over, then SPINEBUSTER! Bianca handsprings, to MOONSAULT, but onto knees! Tiff hurries, tag back to Nia! Nia runs, but Bianca dodges! Nia hits buckles, and Bianca torture racks?! Nia’s too much for bianca!

Nia ELBOWS Bianca, fireman’s carries, and tag to Tiff. Tiff goes up, BLOCKBUSTER SAMOAN DROP COMBO! Cover, JADE BREAKS IT! The fans are thunderous, but Nia storms back in. The fans fire up as Nia and Jade stare down again. The ref says no, but Nia fires a forearm! Jade fires back! Nia HEADBUTTS! Jade BOOTS Nia! Nia CLOBBERS Jade! Both women fall out of the ring, Tiff HIP ATTACKS Bianca! Tiff keeps moving, but Bianca avoids the stomps! Sunset flip, ONE! Tiff runs, Bianca follows and SPEARS! Both women are down but Bianca fires back up! The fans are with her as she goes to a corner!

Bianca climbs, but Nia steps in! The ref stops Nia, and CANDICE SHOVES BIANCA! Bianca lands in the ring, Tiff takes it! TIFFY STOMPS!! Only for Tiff to tell Candice to go away! Naomi runs out here to go after Candice! The fans fire up, and Bianca trips Tiff up! Nia CLOBBERS Naomi, but then Jade BOOTS Nia! Bianca has Tiff in the torture rack! KISS OF DEATH! Cover, Bianca & Jade win!

Winners: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill, by pinfall

The #Big3 stick together, and that helps them turn things around on The Queen of the Ring and her jesters. Will Nia have no choice but to #FeelTheGlow when the gold is on the line?

A-Town Down Under walk ‘n’ talk backstage.

Grayson Waller is loudly saying this is their show, it is always their show, and they’re getting their match with MCMG. The titles aren’t on the line, but will the champs still suffer the Grayson Waller Effect?

MCMG > ATDU, it’s why Shelley & Sabin are tag champs only a month into their WWE careers! But will these tag team icons only become more iconic as they go through the tag team division?

MCMG return backstage.

And Ciampa is there to say he hopes they’ve been enjoying those titles. But then The Profits step in to say THEY have next. Ciampa asks what the hell they mean by that. B-Fab has Ciampa hold on. The Profits talked with Aldis and it’s official! Next week! Street Profits VS MCMG for the WWE Tag Team Championships in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! Ciampa is furious, and this is what he’s been talking about! Ciampa storms off, Gargano follows, but Shelley says hey, that’s fine. They came to WWE to face the best. Sabin says The Profits are one of the best teams in WWE, so they want this. Oh, these guys did their homework, huh? Okay, okay.

Angelo Dawkins tells MCMG it’s time to see how they handle the real pressure. The Profits head out, will MCMG have more than they bargained for next week?

Nick Aldis speaks.

“The women of WWE have broken every glass ceiling, overcome every obstacle, and proven themselves to be the definition of talent, resilience, athleticism, and yes, even ruthlessness. But above all, they’ve redefined success for women in professional wrestling. Here on SmackDown, we have a roster of world class athletes who push themselves to the limit night after night to do one thing: Leave a legacy. And now, it’s time to reveal something that represents exactly that. A new symbol of excellence in WWE, the WWE Women’s United States Championship.

“This championship will not be awarded, it will not be handed over. It will be earned by whoever’s willing to go above and beyond and seize the moment. Ladies, opportunity knocks. It’s time to answer and make history.” A HUGE move for WWE, and the main roster will have its first women’s midcard title! Who will stamp their name in the history books as the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion?

The Bloodline prepares backstage.

Jacob Fatu adorns Solo Sikoa with the ula fala, and then they walk with Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa to gorilla. The fans can already be heard booing even before the music plays. Solo’s Bloodline heads to the ring, ready for the Acknowledgement Ceremony of the UNDISPUTED Tribal Chief. Will the ceremony all happen without a hitch? Or will there be certain detractors that refuse to acknowledge Solo?

SmackDown returns and the fans boo as Solo stands in the ring. Solo has the mic, and he says, “There’s only one way to start this off. Buffalo… ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” The fans boo more, but then ROMAN REIGNS makes his entrance! Solo is naturally surprised and upset by this, but The OTC makes his way down the ramp and to the ring. The fans chant for the “O T C! O T C!” Solo says first off, good to see Roman out here. Before Solo has the fans acknowledge him, he has something for Roman to do first. Roman needs to acknowledge Solo as the Undisputed Tribal Chief. The fans boo and tell Solo off while Roman thinks on that.

Roman brings up his mic to say, “Buffalo. Do you acknowledge him?” The fans boo and shout “NO! NO! NO!” Roman nods, and says, “Neither do I.” The fans cheer that! Roman says he will never acknowledge Solo. Roman is here to challenge Solo. One on one, winner is the ONLY Tribal Chief. Solo laughs and says the winne ris the only? Solo doesn’t need to fight Roman, he already IS the Undisputed Tribal Chief! And in case Roman hasn’t noticed, all these people acknowledge Solo! The fans boo because they don’t. Solo says as a matter of fact, Roman cannot become Tribal Chief if there’s no tribe. The fans ‘YEET! YEET! YEET!”

Solo says oh, as a challenge, here’s one to Roman. Solo challenges Roman to go find four people that will even team up with him. Because then, they can go to war. Yeah, that’s right, Roman. Roman likes to go to war, Solo’s side is always ready for war. Roman asks, “Are you talking about WarGames? I only see four of you.” Solo says oh, sorry, hold on. He’s one, Tama is two, Jacob is three, Loa is four. And the fifth man is Solo’s guy, Sami Zayn. What? Roman is confused, but now Sami walks out here! This looks a little like Crown Jewel. And now The Bloodline beats down Roman! Solo taunts Roman! That wasn’t a mistake! It was all on purpose!

The Usos run past Sami to get in there! They fight off Solo’s Bloodline, toss them out, and Jimmy SUPERKICKS Loa! Jey SUPERKICKS Tama! But Jacob SUPERKICKS Jimmy! And he SUPERKICKS Jey! The fans boo as Solo’s side stands tall! Solo hauls Roman up, tells Sami to come here, and Sami obeys! The fans boo, is Sami really going to do this? Solo tells Sami to kick Roman in the face again! Truly join Solo with a kick to Roman! Remember what he did! Solo BOOTS Solo!! Another swerve on Solo, maybe Solo’s too naive. Jacob runs up, into a SUPERMAN PUNCH! And a BOOT from Sami! Roman then aims at Solo, “OOOAH~!”

Roman runs in to SPEAR Solo! Sami and Roman stand together in the ring and the fans chant “O T C! O T C!” Jey & Jimmy join them. With the fans cheering them on, Jey raises the one! Jimmy raises the one! Sami and Roman stare down a little longer, but then SAMI raises the one! Roman finally accepts, and he raises the one! The fans fire up as these four are finally united! No more wavering in the heart of the Honorary Uce, will these four go to war with Solo’s four? And who will come out the other side in one piece?

My Thoughts:

A great SmackDown to not only follow Crown Jewel, but to also pivot towards WarGames. The Bloodline story had great stuff again, though some redundancies. Great promo from Face Bloodline with Roman not being ready to accept Sami or humble himself, and good response from Jacob Fatu to establish Solo’s authority. Roman getting attitude with The Usos was also good promo stuff. Roman didn’t really humble himself, or else he wouldn’t have demanded the match with Solo. Good on Solo to turn it around on Roman to call for WarGames, but this is the redundancy. I suppose Sami flipflopping was fine, but maybe a little too much in the span of a week.

Sami of course still sides with the Face Bloodline, and maybe they settle for 4v4. But with Hikuleo still waiting in the wings, and potentially Zilla Fatu joining WWE soon, we could have two “mystery” fifth men. As it stands, it feels like Hikuleo debuts on the go-home to help Solo’s Heel Bloodline stand tall, and then Survivor Series night, Zilla can show up to tip the scales back in favor of Face Bloodline. And then with adding these extra men, that freshens up the feud so that we can get all sorts of other matches going on, like Six Man Tag: Guerrillas of Destiny VS Zilla & Usos or something. As Paul Heyman said, it was only bottom of the third inning, this saga still has a long way to go.

We also got great stuff in all the other divisions and stories tonight. Great match between Bayley and Candice, but it really is a shame Indi Hartwell was let go. There were moments perfect for Heel cheap shots. But either way, great win for Bayley, maybe she and Candice go another round and go even bigger. And great stuff with Tiff and Candice bickering and Tiff persuading Nia to go for more gold. Great tag match of Nia & Tiff VS Jade & Bianca, especially with Candice and Naomi getting involved. Nia VS Naomi is officially set now, who knows how it goes when Tiff could still cash in.

Speaking of titles, so glad to see the Women’s US Championship is real now. My only gripe is that WWE still just copy pastes designs. Why couldn’t the Women’s US Championship have the Statue of Liberty on it instead of the big eagle? Why can’t WWE just stop being lazy when it comes to their big expensive belts? That aside, I would think a tournament begins and Survivor Series is where we crown the inaugural champion. Though, there’s some irony to a US Championship being crowned in Canada. And I would think we get the same thing with a Women’s Intercontinental Championship, both tournament and copy-paste design.

It was wild seeing Ciampa damn near kill Pretty Deadly after seeing Kevin Owens go after Orton, but it certainly feels like Ciampa is moments away from going Heel. Whether Gargano joins him or not, hard to tell. MCMG VS ATDU was really good stuff, really good win for MCMG, and Profits getting a title shot also adds to Ciampa’s turn. MCMG VS Profits will be great stuff, but I would think MCMG wins to have their first defense on the books. A Heel DIY facing MCMG in a rematch would be a lot of fun, and SmackDown really needs to build the tag division again as Los Garza doesn’t feel like they’d stand much of a chance, either.

And back to Kevin, he and Orton had a great segment for being a rather quick one. Orton was selling the Crown Jewel table spot, even though it’d been a week. And Kevin going after Orton was great, because for WWE to play up the dangers of piledrivers, all these other companies out there use those almost as much as superkicks. But in Orton’s case, it does work because the concern is his neck and back. Cody sees Orton to the hospital, so this has to give us Cody VS Kevin Round 2 at Survivor Series, escalate to a No Disqualification match and let them really go nuts. Especially if Kevin wants to use a Piledriver again for the kayfabe fear of what it’ll do to Cody.

My Score: 8.9/10
