The Varsity Blonds speak.

“It’s funny that the Young Bucks would mention my late father, Brian Pillman, because most would be led to believe that’s what got me into the professional wrestling business.” Brian Pillman Junior tells us that could not be further from the truth! That man was the reason he stayed AWAY from wrestling for so long! Growing up, all he ever knew was the dark side of the ring, until he met the Young Bucks. A couple of good guys, family men, who showed BPJ that this could be down the right way, that he could succeed and fulfill his destiny. The Bucks are why the Blonds are here.

Griff Garrison says that in September of 2018, he was at a local show and was asked to run the Bucks’ merchandise table. He was so overcome with joy just to be around those guys. Fast forward a couple years, Griff is in AEW and realizes those aren’t the same guys. What the Bucks need is a reality check. And that will be in the form of the Varsity Blonds winning those AEW World Tag Team Championships! BPJ says it is such a shame that the Bucks had to go back to their old ways. We’ve heard that story, seen that movie before. But what you haven’t seen before is the story of BPJ, Griff Garrison, and the former national champion, Julia Hart, and they will not stop until the achieve their destinies! Will Bulletproof and the Ivy League MVP make sure the Bucks stop here?

Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston speak.

“We gotta be making some kind of a dent in this tag team division.” They’ve already been on Dark, Elevation and Dynamite against The Acclaimed. Are those boys any good? Kingston knows one’s a rapper. Really? Yeah, and the other is his friend. Oh, fantastic. Then they’ll do to The Acclaimed what they’ve to every other team so far! Wait, is that inviting them to a Superkick Party? Kingston isn’t even sure what that is, since neither of them throws a good superkick. Do they have to throw such kicks to go to such parties? Well, that’s not where they’re going anyway. This is not that. Tony Khan’s all about analytics, numbers. They gotta beef up the record, so they’re gonna beat the brakes off these boys!

The Acclaimed also speak.

“Yo, yo! Listen!” Anthony Bowens says they are pissed! Eddie Kingston from the bodega? Lunatic Cringe, Jon Moxley? They’re invading The Acclaimed’s space, they’re invading The Acclaimed’s tag division! Bowens isn’t sure if they’re dizzy from ramming trucks into trailers, but The Acclaimed are ranked higher! If Mox & Kingston want a shot at the tag titles, they have to go through The Acclaimed! And they won’t, because The Acclaimed will stomp their asses out! “And that right there is a mic drop! Boom!”

The Acclaimed VS Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston!

Max Caster & Anthony Bowens debuted an all new track and music video, All Talk, on last night’s Dark to diss the Maniac and the Mad King. And now, Platinum Max has a new rap to diss them directly! “Acclaimed is the Paradigm Shift. These two guys exchanged Valentine’s gifts. Yo, Eddie, why you dressed like it’s ’04? You look like a box o’ New Ports! And Mox, you’re outta your element. I’mma knock you out with this mic like Omega did! Call your girl, she’s all in mah mentions! Trying to hit me up for some oral sessions.” What? He meant the podcast! The Acclaimed have arrived, but will Moxley & Kingston prove The Acclaimed are the ones that are all talk?

Speaking of, the second Bowens gets in, Moxley DECKS him! Kingston dares Cater to do something then fires off hands! The bell rings to get this on record, Moxley drags Bowens out to RAM him into railing, Kingston CHOPS Caster and snapmares to KICK him! Kingston fish hooks Caster’s face and puts him in a corner. Kingston hops up but Caster throws a throat chop and a SUPER DRAGON SCREW! Kingston clutches his leg and Caster drags him over as AEW goes picture in picture.

The ref reprimands, Bowens stops to stomp Kingston, then drags Kingston up for a CHOP of his own! Kingston hobbles to a corner, Bowens CHOPS him again, but Kingston tries to claw him back. Bowens throws forearms, goes after the bad leg but the ref counts. Kingston swings but falls over, Bowens covers, TWO! Bowens drags Kingston away, tags Cater back in and Caster stomps Kingston. Caster taunts Mox, hits a GROUND DRAGON SCREW on Kingston, then stomps him more. Caster rains down fists, the ref reprimands but Caster lets off.

Bowens CHOPS again, Kingston CHOPS back! Bowens sucker punches Moxley then gets around Kingston to kick his bad leg! Kingston is in a corner, Bowens runs in and blocks the boot! Bowens CLUBS the leg, JAMS it, then hits a DRAGON SCREW of his own! Kingston is down as AEW returns to single picture. Caster soaks up the heat and Bowens ties up the legs into an Inverted Cloverleaf, aka The Price of Fame! Moxley gets in and stomps Bowens!

The ref reprimands Moxley but Kingston is free. Caster stomps Kingston while the ref is busy with Moxley, but he barely gets away with it. The wild ones just took out the NUMBER THREE team in the AEW Tag Division! Will they be poised to face The Young Bucks at Double or Nothing for the titles? That is, if the Bucks are still golden by then?

Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.

Alex Marvez apologizes for interrupting as Dean Malenko checks out Jericho’s injured arm, but we need a scoop: Is the Inner Circle accepting the challenge for Stadium Stampede 2? Well, Jericho appreciates Marvez’s initiative, but he’ll have to wait just like everyone else. They will say later on, but Marvez should get going. Don’t want to make the Man of 1000 Holds angry. Marvez goes and Malenko reminds Jericho he had four more than him. Yeah but Jericho’s forgotten them. What will The Inner Circle have to say to The Pinnacle’s high stakes challenge?

Tony Schiavone interviews Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page in the ring.

The Face of the Revolution and All Ego have been making quite the impact both before and during Darby Allin’s TNT Champion. Scorpio says that when he was a child, Sting was everything he loved about pro-wrestling. Sting was everything good about the business! And just like all the other Stingers, Scorpio wanted to be just like him. “And then something happened: time. I don’t have to tell you, because you already know. You are not the same man you used to be,” Sting. And Scorpio isn’t a kid. He is a grown man warning Sting to step aside or be put down!

Ethan adds that he can finish this so Schiavone can go. Scorpio has already proven he can put Sting down when he put on that heel hook and made him miss a week! And on that same week he missed, Ethan threw Darby down stone steps! And then what happened after that? Darby lost his title! They can’t take full credit, because Miro is going to be one hell of a TNT Champion. But Darby, just know it was a little bit Ethan’s fault! Ethan knows how much that title means to Darby, calling it his “lifeblood!” That it means the world to him! So Ethan is going to take all of that away from Darby! Ethan is a man of his word, and he promises to be the nail in Darby’s coffin!

But the lights go out, and when they come back up, there’s the snow, the crow, and STIIIIIING~! The Icon stares down the bullies, goes right to the ring, and Darby appears from behind! Darby uses his skateboard to SMACK Scorpio, JAM Ethan, and Sting joins in with fists and stomps! Fans are thunderous as Sting hits Scorpio with a corner clothesline! Darby and Ethan scrap while Sting bumps Scorpio off buckles, and uses the skateboard to SMACK Scorpio in the ribs! Darby tackles Ethan back down to fire off more hands! Sting and Darby loom over Scorpio, and then here comes the Scorpion Deathlock! Darby CLOBBERS Ethan with his skateboard!

Scorpio endures the hold, taps out, but there won’t be anything that stops this! Darby glares at Ethan and plays defense until Sting is satisfied! Sting lets Scorpio go so he can retreat with Ethan! This is not over, because the Dark Order comes out to block the tunnels! Ethan and Scorpio run away through the crowd, but when will Darby and Sting look to break the Face of the Revolution and deflate Ethan’s ego?

The Pinnacle sits down for a fancy dinner.

Wardlow tells the waiter to leave the bottle, and then just chugs wine right from it! He wants another! MJF says Jericho is so funny and witty. Has anyone ever told him that? With his third grade humor, it is so great! Hahaha, Pineapple, not Pinnacle! MJF is My Jerkoff Friend! HAHAHA! Let’s just spray them with the Bubbly! So great, Chris, really. So good! MJF hopes that makes Jericho laugh and laugh and laugh. Because for the first time in Jericho’s career, he is dealing with a guy who always gets the last laugh.

Dax Harwood asks The Inner Circle if they think this is enjoyable for The Pinnacle. Do they think it’s fun to beat them up? No! The Pinnacle, the absolute best group in the world, should be chasing championships! They should be building a legacy! The foundation of what AEW is by being The Pinnacle, but they can’t because they’re dealing with The Inner Circle! It is embarrassing that Jericho is still making a mockery of the sport Dax’s family loves! Last year’s Stadium Stampede was a dog ‘n’ pony show! But this year, The Pinnacle is in control! It won’t be an SNL skit romcom comedy. This will be serious!

Speaking of serious, Shawn Spears wants a refill but the waiter is getting everyone else first, so he grabs the waiter to smoosh his face into a plate! Spears says he wants his drink already! Tully has Spears calm down, so he spares the waiter. Tully tosses the waiter a wad of cash and says that should cover it. MJF says if The Inner Circle decides to do Stadium Stampede 2, they need to understand it will be their last match. “Because when you’re in the Pinnacle, you’re always on top.” Will Jericho and his team take this warning into consideration when deciding on Double or Nothing?

Hikaru Shida VS Rebel w/ Britt Baker!

The AEW Women’s World Champion knows she’ll be facing The Doctor at Double or Nothing. But if somehow, by someway (probably nefariously and with help from Britt), Rebel were to win here tonight, could things drastically change before Memorial Day? Well, probably not, but they could! Will the Full Metal Warrior be ready for anything up Britt’s proverbial sleeves?

The bell rings and Shida circles with Rebel. Rebel shoves Shida and pretends her leg is still bad, but Shida stomps her down! Britt protests, the ref counts as they end up on ropes, and Shida lets off. Rebel does jumping jacks behind the ref’s back just to mock Shida! Shida shoves the ref aside, and Rebel kicks low! Rebel does a dance, Shida shoves her! Rebel swings, Shida blocks the punch to ROCK Rebel! Shida gets Rebel by her legs, and drops an elbow on one! And then another elbow! Britt coaches Rebel but Shida snatches the glove! Shida puts on the glove to send a message to Rebel, and she goes after Rebel’s arms! Britt gets the title belt!!

The ref sees Britt, she and Shida argue, but Rebel has her crutch! CRUTCH SHOT to Shida’s back! Rebel brings Shida up and around to suplex, for a SLAM! Cover, TWO! Shida is still in this and Rebel kicks, but Shida blocks it! Shida KICKS the leg, and again! Then she hits a SIT-OUT SHINBREAKER! And then the STRETCH MUFFLER!! Rebel endures, Shida just pulls harder, and now she taps!

Winner: Hikaru Shida, by submission

If Rebel didn’t need that crutch, she might now! But now Britt attacks Shida! The ref gets Britt to stop but Britt gets the belt! The ref is busy with Rebel as Britt lines up a shot, CURB STOMP to the belt! Britt picks the belt up from under Shida, and holds it over her! Will the AEW Women’s World Championship soon belong to Britt Baker, DMD?

AEW shares exclusive post-show footage from last week!

Kenny Omega uses his EVP authority to check in on Orange Cassidy in the trainer’s room. Best Friends and Kris Statlander stood in his way, and Don Callis asked they take it easy. Cassidy says it was alright, so his friends exited. Omega has the doc stay while they talk. “Rough night at the office, huh?” Omega asks if Cassidy even remembers what happened that night. Callis has the footage of what happened to Cassidy, specifically Cassidy taking that wicked powerbomb from Pac. Omega doesn’t want to rub salt in the wound, but he knows AEW values Cassidy’s talent. This isn’t just the champion speaking, but an EVP.

AEW needs Cassidy to be the mascot! Not so much the main-eventer challenging for the title. So to show that they care, the legal team drew up a little something just for this. Callis says that sometimes, a company has to protect the talent from themselves. Cassidy is a warrior, but someone has to be there to tell him to stop. So here’s the deal. A simple legal document that has Cassidy give up his right to challenge Omega at Double or Nothing because of injury, and then gets his dream match with Omega down the line. If Cassidy would, just sign on the dotted line so that- Cassidy tears the contract nice and slow! And then into more pieces.

Okay, okay, Cassidy isn’t right in the head. Omega wants to explain this to him. “Think about what happened with that powerbomb. What went wrong? Nothing. That’s just the level of talent in the upper echelon of AEW. That’s just the level of talent that lives at the top. And what’s gonna happen on a Pay-Per-View main event, if I pick you up onto my shoulders, and I drive you down with the One Winged Angel? I’m not gonna hold back. In fact, the damage that I do to you could be worse than that powerbomb ever could.” Omega could injure Cassidy, maybe end his career, or heck, even end his life. And no one wants that.

So Callis has a back-up copy for Cassidy. They don’t want him 10 years from now not even remembering his wife and kids’ names. So just listen. Don’t rip it, sleep on it, if he is able to sleep. Maybe just think it over. They say this because they care. Callis and Omega leave, but what will Cassidy’s response be seven days later?

The Inner Circle heads to the ring!

Jericho leads the way as he, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager are here to answer The Pinnacle’s challenge. Jericho soaks up the fans singing Judas for him before Ortiz speaks. “Everybody’s been asking. Everybody wants to know: What’s the Inner Circle gonna do about the Pinnacle?” Ortiz’s answer is, talk is cheap! He wants to FIGHT! Sammy cannot agree with him more. Pinnacle, Sammy said it before and he’ll say it now. So long as both groups are in the company, this won’t ever end! Sammy could jump off the top and hit a Shooting Star onto someone’s head, or he soaks them with Bubbly ever week, this won’t end until they have this match!

The Pinnacle calls themselves the best? They ain’t nothing more than a bunch of clowns! Especially last week, flopping around like dumbass fish in cheap-ass suits! Sammy’s answer is obvious! Hager says there is no choice! Since day one of Dynamite, the Inner Circle said they are the baddest! The consequences of not accepting are far worse! If they don’t, then they’re no better than The Pinnacle! Cowards and mediocre! And while The Pinnacle tries so hard to be The Inner Circle, Hager promises them, “The last thing we want is to be a bunch of schoolgirl bitches like you!”

Jericho finally speaks, and says all they have had great things to say. The Bubbly was great, too, right? It was all to get The Pinnacle’s attention, since they have their heads so far up each other’s asses, they can’t hear very well. But what Jericho heard loud and clear was the challenge for Stadium Stampede 2, and how the stipulation is, if The Inner Circle loses, they have to break up forever. Jericho wonders if it’s worth it. Was Blood & Guts worth it? The toll that it took on all ten men. The physical beatings, the parts of themselves they left behind that they’ll never get back. Buckets of blood, a pound of flesh, and pieces of their souls that will never come back. Was it worth it?!

No one will forget that night, especially Jericho. He’ll never be the same again because of MJF. “Max, you hurt me bad. And I’m not just talking the physical hurt. I’m not just talking the dislocated elbow, because eventually it will heal. Eventually, it will get better. What won’t get better, what won’t go away, is the mental image that I have of you throwing me off the top of the cage. The most terrifying moment of my life. Time stood still, I felt like I was falling for hours. And when I landed, my head almost hit the back of that stage, and if that would’ve happened, it would’ve been game over for Jericho! So was it worth it?!”

MJF scared Jericho’s family, children, and every single person who watched two weeks ago! Was it worth it?! Was it worth putting his body through it? Putting his family through it?! Was it?! The only answer Jericho has is when he thinks of the revenge he’ll get on MJF. YES, it was 1000% worth it! Jericho has the fire to knock MJF’s teeth down his throat, break his nose and punch him in the face over and over and over again! So if The Pinnacle wants an answer, whether The Inner Circle accepts, it is 1000% YES!! Fans fire up hearing that! “And if you beat us, if we can’t beat The Pinnacle… If we can’t beat the Pinnacle after all we’ve been through, we don’t deserve to be together anymore!”

But Jericho vows that won’t happen, because they told The Pinnacle before: “You’re going to have to kill us if you want to beat us, and we’re still alive!” Santana returns next week and he’ll show you he’s still alive! So at Stadium Stampede 2, HELL is coming for The Pinnacle! May 30th, Double or Nothing, The Inner Circle dances all over The Pinnacle’s faces, and pisses all over their graves! Will this next chapter in the war for dominance be its last?

Schiavone interviews Jade Cargill.

The hottest signee in AEW is still without a manager, has she made a decision? She is tired of repeating herself! She’s her own boss, she doesn’t- Mark Sterling shows up and wants to make sure Jade knows that he doesn’t want her to work for him! He doesn’t? No, he will work for her! The other managers in AEW, from Vickie Guerrero to Matt Hardy, they represent other women so that’d be a conflict of interest, and Taz named it all after himself! This is going to be Team Jade, and he will bring her brand to the top! Two weeks in a row, a stand-up with Schiavone? Where’s the sit-down with Good Ol’ JR?

Jade sees his point. What’s his name again? Mark Sterling. Well what he won’t do is come in here and interrupt her TV time. So what she needs to do is have him exit stage left, and maybe she’ll think on it. He does as asked and Jade asks who even is Mark Sterling. Will Mark be in the running? Or has Jade already made her decision?

Velvet KICKS a leg out, runs, but Deeb follows to CHOP BLOCK the leg! Deeb has the arm again, and the leg, to SMASH the knee over and over and over! SERENITY NOW!! Velvet taps, Deeb wins!!

Winner: Serena Deeb, by submission (still NWA Women’s World Champion)

One hell of a fight from Velvet, but she just didn’t have enough to take this title from Deeb! When and where will this title be defended again? And who will it be against?

PAC is furious backstage!

The Bastard is right outside The Elite’s private room as he demands Marvez and the cameraman stay. “Listen to me! I am sick and tired of getting robbed of opportunity in this company. You saw what they tried last week, didn’t ya? But they failed.” And now Pac has his match, and there’s nothing Kenny or Don or the Bucks or any of the elitists can do about it. So then, Pac asks Marvez: “At Double or Nothing, what fool bets against The Bastard now, huh? HUH!?” Whether Cassidy is still in it or not, will Pac make sure he and Omega pay for the powers at be holding him back?

Anthony Ogogo w/ The Factory VS Austin Gunn w/ Cody Rhodes & Arn Anderson!

Britain’s Olympic bronze medalist boxer quite literally threw the first punch, and added insult to injury by running down the United States. Cody vows to be the American Dream at Double or Nothing and make Ogogo eat his words, but will The Son of a Gunn get his shots in first?

The bell rings and Ogogo turns around into Austin’s SHOTGUN dropkick! Austin fires off hands, bumps Ogogo off buckles and throws hands over and over! QT Marshall sneers as Ogogo puts up his guard. Austin whips, Ogogo reverses, but Austin goes up and over. Things speed up, Austin jukes Ogogo to trip him up! And then he hits a THROWBACK! Ogogo staggers, Austin goes to hip toss but Ogogo blocks, to hit the BODY SHOT! That liver shot has taken down opponents in an instant, but Austin manages to survive! Cody and Arn coach Austin over to their side, but Ogogo waits on him to stand. Austin is on noodle legs, he gets ANOTHER BODY SHOT!

Ogogo grins but has some blood on his cheek. Ogogo just smiles as he looms over Austin, spitting up some blood of his own! The ref checks on Austin, and Austin tells him to let the match continue! Austin flounders up, his blood gets on Ogogo so Ogogo pushes him down. Ogogo sits Austin up, stands him up, and reels him in to POP-UP RIGHT HOOK!! Austin is OUT, Ogogo wins!

Winner: Anthony Ogogo, by referee stoppage

In other words, a knockout in the first! Cody checks on Austin, but Ogogo snatches his stars ‘n’ stripes! Cody sees that, Ogogo throws it back at him, and Cody catches it before it hits the ground. Arn takes the flag for Cody as he stares down Ogogo. Ogogo has The Factory backing him up, and they head out. Ogogo warns Cody to keep his hands up, but will Cody put Ogogo down?

Backstage interview with Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian.

They can’t be SoCal Uncensored or even The Addiction anymore, as they lost to The Young Bucks last week. An end of an era, but what about Daniels’ cryptic tweet from last week, simply saying, “That might be all?” What does the future hold for these two? Daniels has Marvez move aside so that he can shake hands with Kaz. Daniels says he loves Frankie, and whispers something else, before walking off camera. Kaz says he doesn’t have the words or the time to explain what Daniels has meant to him, both professionally and personally. “Whatever path CD chooses to take, he’s earned the right to take that path.”

As for Kaz, he knows exactly what path he is on. Kaz lost so much more than just a match last week. He lost a part of himself and it was taken from him. He isn’t just blaming Matt & Nick Jackson. Hell, the Bucks might lose the titles tonight! But Kaz is blaming Gallows & Anderson, Kenny Omega, and even Don Callis, Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler. As far as Kaz is concerned, they’re all at fault! Kaz is going to hunt down every member of The Elite, make them learn about loss and know what it feels like to have their hearts ripped out of their chests! Kaz will have his recompense or die trying! Kaz is a bomb you can’t defuse and a gun you can’t unload. That is not a promise, that is not a threat, that is GOSPEL, according to Frankie Kazarian!

Sammy Guevara returns while AEW is picture in picture.

The Spanish God has his cue cards again to give another message. “Overconfidence precedes carelessness. When you’re The Pinnacle, you’re always overconfident! And last week, you were definitely careless. You made a challenge, you also made a mistake! Only the dead truly know the end of war. The Inner Circle is far from dead! This war is far from over! At Double or Nothing, The Inner Circle VS The Pinnacle, Stadium Stampede II! This time, there will be no surrender! We will not be defeated! We have homefield advantage! And some unfinished business. See you on the field, boys.”

Miro is here!

The NEW AEW TNT Champion, The Best Man, is back to address everyone properly after his win last week. “First and foremost, I want to thank Jesus Christ for protecting me. Also I want to thank Jesus Christ for giving me strength, power and more aggression than everybody else so I could destroy everybody!” That is Miro’s talent. But that isn’t Darby’s talent, is it? After he talked all that crap, Miro beat Darby up so bad, he took what Darby said could never be taken. And now everyone knows that it doesn’t matter if you’re the baddest man on earth, or the hottest thing in AEW, if you have what Miro wants, it’s done!

Miro says Darby disrespected him, but he forgives him as a reasonable man. All Darby has to do is go home, make another gritty student video, and- Fans chant, “We Want Darby!” but Miro says Darby’s right here. He holds up the TNT Championship and chuckles. Miro is champion now, and no one will stop him! That’s why, next week on Dynamite, someone’s getting an opportunity for MIRO’s TNT Championship, and he will make sure he destroys that someone over and over and over again! But here comes Lance Archer! Jake the Snake tries to keep the Murderhawk Monster from going to the ring, so Archer just tells Miro to “shut the hell up!”

Archer hears Miro talking about hurting people. Archer was the beast of All Elite while Miro was trying to have a day all to himself. Miro doesn’t even understand the history of that title! One year ago, Archer and Cody Rhodes stood in the ring and fought for the first-ever TNT Championship. Archer didn’t leave the winner then, but he’ll be damned if on May 30th, 2021, he doesn’t walk out the NEW TNT Champion. Miro, honestly, Archer is happy you won, because now they get to give the people the monster fight they haven’t seen since Godzilla VS King Kong. And from one big bad son of a bitch to another, Archer can’t wait until they beat the hell out of each other!

At Double or Nothing, in front of a sold out crowd, Archer vows to put Miro’s ass in the ground, hold that belt over his head, and make Miro into a Bulgarian bitch! Oh, wow, that hurts so much, Murderhawk. Miro’s never heard that before. But Miro finds it funny Archer is “the monster” but he has an old man holding him back. When Miro wanted the title, nothing held him back! But next time, Archer better pray to God Jake doesn’t get any closer than this! Because no amount of yoga is gonna save Jake’s life! As far as the Murderhawk goes, everybody dies, and that’s true! But Miro insists Archer goes first! What happens when Double or Nothing becomes the war of the monsters?!

BREAKING NEWS for Friday Night Dynamite!

Miro is right, there will be a challenger for his TNT Championship that night! Top Flight’s Angel Dorado, Dante Martin, steps up to The Best Man! Speaking of Double or Nothing…!

Another match has just been added to the already stacked night! Sting & Darby Allin will take on Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky in a tag team match! The first in-ring match for The Icon since coming to AEW, will he show All Ego & the Face of the Revolution that he is STILL that man they grew up admiring?

And the full Casino Battle Royal field is known! Jungle Boy, Matt Sydal, The Varsity Blonds, The Acclaimed, Penta El Zero M, Lee Johnson, Dustin Rhodes, Will Hobbs, The Factory’s QT Marshall and Nick Comoroto, The Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Colt Cabana and Preston Vance, the Hardy Family Office’s Private Party, Blade and Hardy himself, as well as Christian Cage and of course, a WILD CARD! Paul Wight will be joining commentary for this big match, but who comes out the ace headed for the AEW World Championship?

AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Young Bucks VS Varsity Blonds w/ Julia Hart!

Matt & Nick Jackson were highly respected by young wrestlers and tag teams, just like Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr. But joining their old friends, going back to their old ways and becoming even worse than they used to be has lost them all of that respect and admiration. Will it lose them their titles at the same time? Or will they make Griff & BPJ look more like JV tonight?

As if to add insult to injury, Brandon Cutler scoops up the streamers so the wrestlers ringside don’t get to have them. Nick gives that headband that’s more a cross between a dead cockatiel and a Furby pelt to Michael Nakazawa to wear with his headset. The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if the Bucks’ attitudes cost them the gold to close out Dynamite!

Nick and Griff start, and the two circle. They tie up, Griff shoves Nick down and flexes those Ivy League MVP muscles. They tie up again, Griff puts Nick in a corner but Nick avoids the clothesline. Things speed up, and Griff BOOTS Nick down! Matt tags in but Griff sends him into BPJ’s haymaker! Matt pinballs between the Blonds, Griff BOOTS him down, too! Tag to BPJ, BPJ runs to clotheslines and CHOP Nick! The Blonds send the Bucks at each other, the Bucks do-si-do, but into dropkicks! The Bucks bail out and the fans fire up with The Blonds! BPJ and Griff mock the Bucks’ pose and that pisses the Bucks off!

Nick gets in but trips on the ropes and falls on his face! Nick staggers up, BPJ clotheslines him back out! BPJ then watches as Nick throws a fit and kicks the railing, only to hurt his foot! Brandon massages Nick’s foot while Matt gets in, but BPJ hip tosses him! Then arm-drags! BPJ has the armlock and fans fire up as he shifts through to a wristlock! BPJ gets Matt up, wrenches, YANKS the arm, and tags Griff. Griff CLUBS the arm, wrenches  and whips, BPJ tags in, and Griff gets Matt up for BPJ to dropkick him down! Cover, TWO! BPJ keeps Matt down with a chinlock, shifts to a facelock and wrench, then YANKS the arm! Tag to Griff, he hops up and drops an elbow on the elbow!

Griff scoops Matt and SLAMS him! Tag to BPJ, and BPJ slingshot sentons but onto knees! Matt gets up to handspring and headscissor Griff, Nick runs in to dropkick Griff down! The fans boo but the Bucks soak up the heat. Matt kicks and whips BPJ out of the ring and onto the ramp! Tag to Nick, Nick climbs and Matt helps him go Old School, to then leap and DOUBLE STOMP BPJ! Then Nick LEAPS to take down Griff! Nick smiles as he and Matt regroup to strike their pose together. They drag BPJ up and Nick bulldog hotshots him down! The ref check son BPJ as he falls against steel stage! Nick dares BPJ to get up as AEW goes picture in picture.

Nick goes up the ropes as BPJ stands, and Nick jumps to drop ax handles! BPJ writhes on the ramp, Nick pretends to be the Macho Man, and he gets BPJ up and into the ring with a toss! Nick stomps BPJ, shows off the Nike Diors, tags in Matt and Matt stomps BPJ down. Matt clubs away, drops elbows, and brings BPJ back up. BPJ throws body shots and a CHOP! BPJ scoops but his back won’t let him finish! Matt CLUBS BPJ back down, drags him back up, and gets him to the top rope. Matt throws hands, positions BPJ just right, then climbs up to join him. BPJ fights back, sends Matt staggering, and leaps, but Matt avoids the crossbody! BPJ flops and Matt swaggers about.

Matt gets BPJ up, tags Nick in, and they combine for the slingshot leg drop BACKBREAKER! Cover, but Griff breaks it! Matt protests but then fakes the tag with Nick! Matt chokes BPJ on the ropes! The ref reprimands, Matt tags Nick back in, and Nick scrapes BPJ’s face on ropes! Nick puts BPJ in a corner to whip him corner to corner hard, and BPJ bounces off buckles to hit the mat! Matt mocks BPJ’s pain, Nick whips BPJ the other way and just as hard! BPJ again hits the mat, Nick double guns and then stomps BPJ. AEW returns to single picture as Nick gets BPJ up. Nick whips BPJ again, BPJ goes up and CROSSBODIES! Direct hit and fans fire up!

BPJ and Nick are both down, they both crawl, and they both hot tag! Matt runs in but Griff rallies on the Bucks! Elbows and clotheslines, a BIG back drop for Nick! Back body block to Nick, Ivy League level SPLASH on Matt! Griff whips Matt into Nick, then runs in to SPLASH them both! Griff keeps going, DOUBLE SPEAR!! The Bucks bail out and fans are thunderous as Griff FLIES!! Direct hit and the Bucks go down! The Blonds fire up with the fans and Griff puts Matt in. Matt kicks but it’s blocked, ROLLING ELBOW to a FLYING CLOTHESLINE! Griff covers, TWO! Griff keeps his cool as fans rally up behind the Blonds!

Griff tags BPJ, they coordinate and get Matt up, but Nick anchors BPJ! Mat throws hands and Griff falls, then Nick slingshots in to go up and around and PENALTY KICK Griff from the apron! Matt SUPERPLEXES BPJ! Matt soaks up the heat from the fans and their peers at ringside as he tags Nick. The Bucks have BPJ alone, Nick PENALTY KICKS him! Matt PENALTY KIKCS him! Nick kicks, Matt kicks, repeat! BPJ starts pushing back! BPJ blocks Nick’s superkick to send it into Matt, then SUPERKICKS Nick! Cover, Matt breaks it! Fans rally for BPJ, Nick swings into his waistlock! Matt tags before the O’Conner Roll, sunset flip to a SHARPSHOOTER!

BPJ endures as Matt sits deep on the hold! Brandon distracts the ref, Nick gets BPJ with the cold spray right in his eyes!! Griff BOOTS Matt down! Nick SUPERKICKS Griff! The hold is broken and Nick pretends his leg is hurting. Brandon gets Matt the can of spray but Julia points it out! The ref sees that and Matt tries to apologize! But they have a spare! He sprays Julia!! But BPJ gets Matt in a cradle! TWO!!! Matt SUPER- NO! BPJ blocks, but Matt blocks his kick! Matt trips BPJ, and puts the SHARPSHOOTER back on!! BPJ endures, Nick DECKS Griff! Slingshot FACEBUSTER!! Then handspring MOONSAULT onto Griff! BPJ taps, the Bucks win!!

Winners: The Young Bucks, by submission (still AEW World Tag Team Champions)

Callis claims he’ll go make sure the Bucks are okay, and Brandon goes to use cold spray but they used it all cheating! Matt & Nick still have the gold, and now Moxley & Kingston are here! The Bucks try to reason with them, but no dice! Moxley and Kingston fire off on Matt and Nick! Kingston is even BITING Nick! Moxley spins Matt around for the SLEEPER! Kingston puts one on Nick!! The Bucks are passing out!! Fans chant, “You Deserve It!” And Kingston snatches Nick’s Nikes! Same for Moxley to Matt!

And this just in! With SCU no more and both the Blonds and Acclaimed having lost tonight, Moxley & Kingston are the NEW #1 contenders, and will face the Bucks for the belts at Double or Nothing!! Will the titles just be golden icing on the cake for the beatdown they’ll be serving the Bucks?

My Thoughts:

This was a wild, awesome episode! It almost felt like it should’ve been the go-home, but that’s next week. With NBA taking over TNT next week, Dynamite goes to Friday at a special time and promises it will be live to kick off Double or Nothing weekend. That night will surely be big with what they advertised for it, but I don’t think it’ll be quite as jam-packed as tonight was. Christian VS Sydal was very good, and it makes sense for Team Taz to come after Christian and Hangman to go after them. Team Taz stands tall now, because I’m pretty sure they all end up losing to Christian and Hangman in their respective matches.

We got good promos from The Acclaimed and Moxley-Kingston before their match, as well as another strong rap from Caster. The match was very good, but it was clear Moxley & Kingston were going to win because how The Bucks challenged them to a match at Double or Nothing. The Varsity Blonds also had a very good promo, and we got an awesome main event with them and the Bucks. Similarly, we knew The Bucks would win because they’re going to face Moxley & Kingston, but now the titles will be on the line to up that match. I suppose the cheating the Elite did works to get The Bucks Heel Heat while also keeping the Varsity Blonds strong so they can come back around one day. Kingston stealing the Nikes was hilarious, too. I’m not sure if him wearing them or selling them would be funnier for story.

I like that Omega is doubling down on him disrespecting Orange Cassidy as a contender. Him trying to give Cassidy an out is really so he has a way out of the Triple Threat, but we already know that Cassidy will say no next week. Pac had a good promo tonight, too, and Kazarian saying he’s going to hunt The Elite down already implies that maybe he gets involved next week or at Double or Nothing. Kaz getting involved could even allow Omega to retain because Kaz argues with Pac and Omega capitalizes. Kaz’s line about Daniels having earned whatever choice he makes next is true, Daniels could stay in AEW or retire completely, and no one could judge him for it.

Ethan & Scorpio had a great promo and the attack from Darby & Sting was great, too. I actually like that we’re getting a traditional match for these two teams, but that means Darby will surely be doing the most work for his team. Sting probably gets a hot tag but could still end up losing, since he and Darby won the cinematic back at Revolution. Shida VS Rebel was of course so Britt could stand tall here. But Shida is having her anniversary celebration next week before the PPV, so Britt probably defies math and wins anyway. Serena VS Velvet was awesome, but it makes sense Serena retains. Thunder Rosa wants to get both belts, so this all goes in line with her taking the belts from her rivals in Britt and Serena on the road to All Out.

Ogogo VS Austin was exactly what it should’ve been with the body shots and the blood, as well as Ogogo talking some trash to Cody. Having a weigh-in next week is clearly just for show, as was the previous AEW weigh-in, I believe. I think it would make more sense if they had a tense press conference segment because those happen with boxing and UFC/MMA all the time. Miro and Archer had good promos, though Miro using Jesus in his was a bit surprising. Miro will definitely squash Dante Martin, and we’re going to get an awesome match of Miro and Archer at Double or Nothing. I can’t call it, because Miro just got this belt but Archer lost last year and he has to win something. Flip a coin then tell it to shut up, we’re getting a show stealer here.

The Casino Battle Royal field looks good, and I can’t wait to see who the mystery entry is this year. A new signee they’ve kept under wraps? Someone returning? It’s always something exciting, I can’t wait. The Pinnacle had a really good dinner table promo, a lot of subtleties I am sure I missed, and that is what makes them a great group already. The Inner Circle’s response promos were great, Stadium Stampede II will be great, and this is another case of flipping the coin then ignoring the result because this is going to be too awesome to call.

My Score: 9.4/10

The Sussex County Chicken won’t let The Protostar get away with this! He ROCKS and UPPERCUTS Kyle, then LARIATS Kyle up and out! Only for a STRONG KNEE to take Mark down! Roddy stomps Cassidy, then stomps Mark! Roddy holds up the belt and shouts, “This is mine!”

The fans boo but The Undisputed Kingdom stand tall, holding up all three belts. Will nothing stop them from conquering ROH at Death Before Dishonor?

Backstage interview with The Outcasts.

Arkady Aura is with Saraya & Harley Cameron, and says we haven’t seen Saraya wrestle since her first round loss in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Harley speaks up and asks how that’s supposed to be Saraya’s fault. Why point the finger of blame at her? Maybe it is this company’s fault! Because Saraya has been spending this whole time training, getting “Wembley Ready,” and being an unproblematic icon! Saraya says Harley is right, and do you know why? Because AEW is scared of Saraya. The AEW Women’s Division is scared of her! Because she is the living legend, she understands.

Last year at All In, Saraya had the world at her feet! Now, they’re just keeping her off the show. Harley says doing All In Wembley without Saraya is like doing Beverly Hills Cop without Eddie Murphy! Saraya says yeah, that’s why they’re keeping her away. But they can’t do the show without her because she IS the show. All roads lead to Wembley, baby, and it doesn’t matter who she has to step on to get there. Then just who will The Outcasts take out in order to have their moment?

Chris Jericho & “Big Bill” Morrissey w/ Bryan Keith VS The Outrunners!

While The Learning Tree has to defend that “For The World” Championship this Wednesday on Dynamite, he and The Redwood are not shying away from competition. Will Jericho & Bill show the world they’re not afraid of big bad Minoru Suzuki? Or will Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum be the ones to teach The Learning Tree a thing or two?

The teams sort out and Bill starts against Truth. The fans rally, Truth gets around to headlock, but Bill powers up to TOSS Truth away! Truth flounders to his corner, Turbo tags in, and Turbo steps up to Bill. Jericho isn’t even taking this match seriously, he’s checking his phone! Bill knees Turbo low, CLUBS him down, but Truth tags back in. Truth runs and leaps, but Bill catches him! Bill grins, gives a thumbs up, then SLAMS Truth down! Bill says the fans know what’s up. But then Turbo tags in and The Outrunners DOUBLE CLUB Bill! Bill just frowns…! Bill turns around, he runs up, but The Outrunners dodge to DOUBLE DROPKICK!

Bill stays up but The Outrunners fire up. They spin and handshake, while flexing! Bill frowns, Truth sees and warns Turbo. Turbo looks and Bill DECKS him! Bill DECKS Truth, too! Bill then runs to BOOT Truth out of the ring! Turbo staggers up, Jericho keeps checking his phone, but Turbo CHOPS! Bill sighs and Turbo begs for mercy. Bill puts Turbo in a corner, CHOPS him, then CHOPS again! And he fires off haymaker after haymaker! Bill laughs as he stomps a mudhole into Turbo! The ref counts but Bill keeps going! Bill lets off, laughs some more, and Jericho says look out. Truth CHOPS Bill, but then he begs for forgiveness.

Bill powers Truth to a corner with one hand! Then he runs to SPLASH Turbo! SPLASH for Truth, SPLASH for Turbo! BOOT for Truth, and then Bill choke grips Turbo. SKYSCRAPER CHOKE SLAM!! And then he tags Jericho! Jericho smirks and waves to the fans. “Hi, guys~!” Cover, Jericho & Bill win!

Winners: Chris Jericho & “Big Bill” Morrissey, by pinfall

Bad Apple Keith kicks Truth out of the ring, then he stands tall with his guys. Keith tells the Outrunners to respect Chris Jericho, but he and Bill won’t be around to help Jericho on Wednesday. Will Jericho be able to survive Minoru Suzuki in the shadow of Blood & Guts? Or will Suzuki tear down The Learning Tree #ForTheWorld?

Wait, speaking of Suzuki, here he comes! He has his own match tonight, but he wants to look Jericho in the eye one more time before Dynamite. Will the Meanest Man in the World make an example out of The Butcher?

Minoru Suzuki VS The Butcher!

Rampage returns and The Butcher is already in the ring. The bell rings and Butcher talks some smack on Suzuki. Butcher then fires a forearm, but Suzuki comes back with a forearm of his own. Butcher RAMS Suzuki into a corner, the ref counts, but Butcher lets off at 4. Suzuki eggs Butcher on but Butcher pie faces Suzuki. Butcher ROCKS Suzuki, kicks low, then kicks again. Butcher reels Suzuki in to suplex high and hard! Cover, TWO! The fans rally for Suzuki and he fires body shots on Butcher. Suzuki ROCKS Butcher, but Butcher HEADBUTTS! Butcher vows to break Suzuki’s back!

Butcher half nelsons, but Suzuki slips around to waistlock. Butcher elbows free, runs, but Suzuki follows, drop steps to get around, and has the SLEEPER! Suzuki wrangles Butcher, squeezes tight, but Butcher endures. Suzuki spins Butcher around and reels him in, and the fans fire up for the Gotch Lift! Butcher’s big, but Suzuki still lifts him, holds him up, and then PILEDRIVERS!! Cover, Suzuki wins!

Winner: Minoru Suzuki, by pinfall

A gritty fight for Suzuki and Butcher, and this was in a normal match! What won’t Suzuki do to Jericho when it is FTW Rules?

The Conglomeration speaks.

Mark Briscoe says, “For those of you who may or may not have been living under a rock for the past couple months, you are looking at the group that has come to be known as The Conglomeration. You know about my main man with the game plan, OC, and Kyle O’Reilly. Let me introduce to you Tomohiro Ishii, henceforth to be known as Big Time! That’s right! Here in The Conglomeration, there is only two rules. First and foremost, you gotta be down to conglomerate. And secondly, you cannot in any way, shape or form, be a s*it head!” Kyle shrugs and nods, because it’s true.

Mark then says that brings us to the word of the day! The word of the day is… Discombobulation! Kyle asks the country of origin. American! Can he use it in a sentence? In the midst of Mark’s discombobulation, Roderick Strong cracked him in the jaw with a knee, and stood over him, holding up Mark’s ROH World Championship high in the air! Now that done pissed Mark off, Roddy! He’s known Roddy a long time, and Roddy knows better than that! So next week, Death Before Dishonor, Mark has something for Roddy!

But before that, tomorrow night’s Collision, #BigTime Ishii is going to take Roddy on 1v1! No Kingdom, no Conglomeration, and damn sure no Don Callis Family at ringside! Roddy VS Ishii, and we’ll show y’all how we do in The Conglomeration! Because they’re ’bout to RARARARARA!! The Chicken is all fired up, but will the Stone Pitbull be able to take a big bite out of the Savior of the Backbreaker?

Kris Statlander w/ Stokely Hathaway VS Sydni Winnell!

The Galaxy’s Greatest Traitor knows The Babe with the Power wants payback on her just as badly as she wants to run Willow’s life. But while Willow went and won the CMLL Women’s World Championship, Kris has just been grumbling and plotting with Big Stoke. Will Kris make an example out of Sydni tonight? Or will the Heart of Hutchinson, Kansas be unbreakable?

The bell rings and Kris DISCUS LARIATS right away! Stoke fires up but the fans are torn as Kris hauls Sydni back up. Kris ROCKS Sydni, CHOPS her, then fires off haymakers in the corner! The ref counts, Kris stomps a mudhole in, then she digs her boots in. The ref counts, Kris gets in his face about it, then goes back to Sydni. Kris drags Sydni up to snap suplex! Sydni flounders but Stokely smiles. Kris runs corner to corner, UPPERCUTS, then goes side to side, but Sydni ELBOWS her! Sydni fires forearm snow and has Kris in a corner! The fans fire up, Sydni fires up, and she whips. Kris reverses to then scoop and pop Sydni around!

Kris tucks Sydni in for STATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!! Cover, Kris wins!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall

As Stokely says, every night is #StaturdayNight, especially when Kris wins like that. She has Stoke stand on her while she does push-ups just to show off, but will Kris be ready when Willow returns with a vengeance?

Holo.grm loads up.

Whoever this mysterious masked man is, he is ready, and he promises that tomorrow night on Collision, we will see him debut! Will Holo.grm prove to be more than meets the eye?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

Collision is already stacked with Strong VS Ishii, Holo.grm’s debut, and the Unified World Trios Championship match, The Patriarchy VS The Bang Bang Gang, but Skye Blue’s challenge to Hikaru Shida has been answered! Will the Shining Samurai cut through the Chicago Skye to find her way back to the top of the ranks? We’ll also see Darby Allin return to action against The Beast Mortis! Will The Relentless One sharpen his edge for Blood & Guts? Plus, the Lumberjack match has been made official! Thunder Rosa VS Deonna Purrazzo, with other AEW stars all around ringside, will this be where La Mera Mera and The Virtuosa finally settle the score?

The Lucha Brothers w/ Alex Abrahantes VS Private Party!

Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix are looking to get in on the tag title chase, but so are Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy. While The Acclaimed still have to shoot their shot at The Young Bucks, which team will be waiting for them on the other side?

The fans fire up, Quen returns but Penta BOOTS him! Quen tries again, Penta pops him up and SUPERKICKS him while upside-down! Quen flops to the apron then the floor and the fans fire up. Penta builds speed, but Zay CROSSBODIES him!

Fenix MISSILE DROPKICKS Zay! Quen returns to PELE Fenix! Penta SUPERKICKS Quen! All four men are down and the fans fire up! Zay and Fenix bail out, Penta and Quen slowly stand up. Penta eggs Quen on, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Quen steps up to Penta, and Penta says uno momento. Penta dramatically takes off his glove, but Quen says no, let him. “SHOTS! SHOTS!” Penta says okay, listen! “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta pie faces Quen, so Quen comes back to say “SHOTS!” “CERO! MIEDO!” “SHOTS!” They go back and forth, taunt for taunt, then Penta CHOPS! Quen is stinging but he composes himself. Quen comes back, CHOPS, but that hurts his hand more than it does Penta’s body! Penta says okay, and he unbuttons Quen’s shirt, to CHOP him down! The fans fire up with Penta as he does a “SHOTS! SHOTS!” dance! So Quen returns to fire forearms!

Quen ROCKS Penta, runs, but Penta SUPERKICKS! “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta runs but Quen BOOTS him down! Quen nods, runs up, but DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Both men stay up, Penta blocks a kick to HEEL KICK, only for Quen to ROUNDHOUSE back! Both men wobble, then they DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSE! Both men fall and the fans fire back up! Fenix survives and shocks Zay! The fans rally up and Zay brings Fenix up. Tag to Quen, and Private Party puts Fenix up top. Quen runs up, GIN- NO, Fenix holds onto the corner and Quen tumbles! Penta also waistlocks Zay but Zay fights free with elbows. Penta shoves Zay so that Fenix can tightrope walk PENALTY KICK! Then Penta SLINGBLADES Zay down! Quen gets in, he gets a SLINGBLADE, too!

The fans fire up for “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta brings Quen in but Quen slips free and shoves Penta into Fenix! Fenix lands on his firebird and Quen helps Zay up. GIN & JUICE!! Cover, but Penta returns to break it and hit a DESTROYER on Zay!! Quen is shocked while Little Rock is thunderous! “This is Awesome!” as “A E DUB!” gives us this main event. Winners: The Lucha Brothers, by pinfall

Private Party put up a fight to be sure, but Penta y Fenix just wanted it that much more! Will the Lucha Brothers be watching Blood & Guts very, very closely?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Rampage here, and even the squash matches served some purpose. Kris crushing Sydni was mostly for momentum, but it felt like that was the first real showing of Kris’ Heel attitude with her trash talking the whole time. Jericho letting Bill do all the work against The Outrunners was naturally how that match was going, but it works perfectly in character and story for them. And Jericho crossing paths with Suzuki before Suzuki puts Butcher away rather quickly was good, too. The go home math is therefore even ahead of their FTW Championship match, but I wonder if Jericho was texting someone who could interfere for him since Keith & Bill can’t. But it can’t be Jeff Cobb, though, he’s locked in for NJPW’s G1 Climax.

Very good promo from The Outcasts, and while Toni Storm VS Mariah May is one title match and Mercedes Mone VS Britt Baker is another, Saraya could end up putting out an open challenge and it is answered by someone big from Stardom or CMLL for a first-time-ever kind of match to make All In even more historic. Great tag team main event from Lucha Brothers VS Private Party, with it mostly being for momentum. Private Party has finally been back on track now that both guys are healthy, but Lucha Bros winning out made sense. Penta & Fenix have been great as a team and as individuals, they’re both primed to take on just about any team or even singles champs if needed.

And great opener from The Conglomeration and The Undisputed Kingdom, even though I’m surprised they did such a Six Man Tag already. The Conglomeration winning could still feed into my idea that Cassidy & Kyle get an ROH Tag Team Championship match at Death Before Dishonor, but it also gives us a reason for Ishii VS Roddy tomorrow night. Great promo from Mark Briscoe in that, too, he continues to be one of the best underappreciated promo guys in all of wrestling today. I feel like Mark is going to retain the title against Roddy given how Shane Taylor is gunning for Mark, but that really depends on if Tony Khan is even paying attention to his own shows.

My Score: 8.7/10

AEW International Championship: Will Ospreay VS MJF!

Like many of us, The Aerial Assassin despise the Wolf of Wrestling for how he disrespected and used Daniel Garcia just to send a message. But also like many, Ospreay at least acknowledges and respects that this form of Maxwell Jacob Friedman is his most dangerous. Will Ospreay be able to put down AEW’s Ultimate Scumbag? Or will even the #BillyGOAT not be on the level of the devil?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who ignites episode 250!

The bell rings and the fans cheer while the two stare down. Ospreay gets the fans even more fired up, and then MJF bails out. The fans boo but MJF just hops the railing. MJF splashes fans with their own water! MJF then lounges on the barriers, offers a fist bump, but the fans just flip him off. So MJF rips a fan’s sign up and throws it back! MJF goes back to the ring, tells fans to shut up, and he approaches Ospreay. Only to dodge and strut, then swivel the hips. The fans boo but Ospreay smirks, this is the MJF he knew he was getting. They tie up, MJF wrenches to hammerlock, but Ospreay headlocks.

MJF powers up to wrench and WRING Ospreay, but Ospreay handsprings through, and copies the strut! Ospreay shows he can swivel hips, too! The fans cheer but MJF sarcastically says Ospreay’s clever. MJF ducks the Hidden Blade to hit a headlock takeover! Ospreay headscissors, MJF kips free, and roles reverse as Ospreay headlocks for the takeover. MJF headscissors but Ospreay kips free.

MJF runs in, Ospreay dodges to handspring, but MJF gets under! Ospreay superhero lands, and the fans are thunderous while MJF is stunned! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener! MJF is annoyed, but he and Ospreay tie up. MJF says Ospreay pulled hair! The fans boo because of course MJF is lying. MJF and Ospreay reset, tie up, and again MJF claims hair pulling. But then MJF pulls hair!

MJF puts Ospreay on the ropes, the ref counts, and MJF lets off, to take a swing! Ospreay dodges and then LARIATS MJF up and out! The fans fire up and Ospreay builds speed, only for MJF to get away. MJF says not today, but then Ospreay just changes course and he FLIES out onto MJF! The fans fire up and high-five Ospreay before he puts MJF in. Ospreay HOTSHOTS MJF, runs and BOOTS, then he hits as BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Ospreay prepares the elbow and the fans fire up. Ospreay aims but MJF scrambles to the apron. The fans boo, Ospreay storms over, but MJF YANKS Ospreay into buckles!

MJF stomps a mudhole in, drags Ospreay up to whip and WRING him into the corner! Ospreay flounders and MJF soaks up the heat. Then he blows snot at the fans and mocks them! MJF goes back to Ospreay, clamps onto an arm, and the fans rally and duel as Ospreay endures. Ospreay fights up, throws body shots, then forearms. MJF throws Ospreay down by his hair! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it up. MJF says he didn’t do anything. Then he clamps on with a chinlock and grinds Ospreay down. Ospreay fights up to JAWBREAKER free! Ospreay runs but MJF kitchen sink knees! MJF hauls Ospreay up to back suplex, but Ospreay lands out!

Ospreay reels MJF in to back suplex, but MJF lands out! MJF back suplexes, Ospreay lands out, into a STUNNER! Cover, TWO! MJF’s annoyed his Osaka Street Cutter, or perhaps Long Island Street Cutter, didn’t end this, but he storms after Ospreay. Ospreay is on the apron, MJF reels him in, HEAT- NO! MJF drags Ospreay in again, tries but Ospreay again denies him the Heatseeker! So MJF tries the slingshot, but Ospreay stops that!

Ospreay GAMANGIRIS MJF away, goes up a corner, and PIP PIP CHEERIO! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Ospreay rises but so does MJF. Ospreay fires haymakers on MJF first, then whips. MJF reverses but Ospreay CLOBBERS him! MJF bails out but Ospreay builds speed! Ospreay handsprings to SASUKE SPECIAL! The fans are thunderous but Ospreay takes a moment to check his ribs and catch his breath. Ospreay storms up on MJF, puts him in the ring, then goes up a corner. The fans fire up for the MOONSAULT, but MJF moves! Ospreay lands out, MOONSAULTS again, but MJF dodges again!

But the STANDING SHOOTING STAR hits! Cover, TWO! So Ospreay goes up and up to SKY TWISTER! Cover, TWO!! MJF survives the onslaught but Ospreay loads up that elbow! “This is Awesome!” as Ospreay aims again. MJF slowly rises, Ospreay runs up, but MJF bails out again! The fans continue to boo but Ospreay PLANCHAS! Down goes MJF and Ospreay high-fives more fans. And then Ospreay confiscates the timekeeper’s table! The fans are thunderous as Ospreay brings the furniture over to ringside. MJF hurries away into the ring now! Ospreay pursues as we see the fear on MJF’s face.

Ospreay CHOPS MJF in the corner! Ospreay stands MJF up to CHOP him again! The fans “WOO~” and Ospreay runs, but MJF pops him up to SUPERKICK him! MJF goes up, but Ospreay avoids the Panama City/Long Island Sunrise, but then MJF knees low! MJF reels Ospreay in but Ospreay powers out. Ospreay whips MJF to the corner, MJF goes up and over, but then MJF’s knee jams! Ospreay grabs that leg but it was a trap! MJF steps over and hits as STUFF PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives and both men are down again. The fans rally up while both men stir, and MJF rises first.

MJF shows off that the leg is just fine, then does the Daniel Garcia dance just to mock him. MJF then drops an elbow on Ospreay’s leg. Ospreay CLUBS at MJF but MJF keeps the toehold. Ospreay fishhooks MJF and MJF lets go. Ospreay CHOPS, and CHOPS, then runs, but into a back drop! MJF leans on the ropes while he catches his breath, and the fans rally again. MJF storms back over, KNEES the leg, then smirks. MJF steps through, ties the legs up, and has the FIGURE FOUR! The fans “WOO~,” even as MJF SLAPS Ospreay! And SLAPS him! MJF thrashes the hold, but Ospreay endures. Ospreay’s shoulders are down, TWO as he sits back up!

Ospreay pries at the leglock, and the fans rally up as he works to turn things over. MJF fights that back, thrashes some more, but Ospreay grits his teeth. The fans rally harder and harder as Ospreay fights his way over, and he turns the hold onto MJF! MJF endures now, reaches out while shouting in pain, and he flails in order to turn things back onto Ospreay! The fans boo but Ospreay endures again. Ospreay drags MJF along, reaches out, and has the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts but MJF lets go at 4. MJF is frustrated but then he drags Ospreay up and to a corner. MJF CHOPS, takes a moment, then CHOPS again!

MJF wrenches, whips, but Ospreay can’t even make it all the way! MJF smirks while the ref checks Ospreay. Ospreay shakes out the leg, refusing to admit defeat. MJF storms over, stands Ospreay up, and CHOPS! Ospreay hobbles, so MJF CLAWS Ospreay’s back! MJF whips, Ospreay barely makes it to ropes! MJF wants after Ospreay like a shark with blood in the water, but Ospreay sits on the apron. MJF tells off the fans cheering Ospreay, but Ospreay is somehow still in this. The fans fire up again while Ospreay again clutches the leg.

Ospreay rises, but MJF KNEES the knee! Then MJF calls his shot! MJF suplexes, but STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE hits first! MJF wobbles around, Ospreay calls his shot now! Springboard, OSCUTTER!! But MJF flops all the way to ropes! Ospreay has to crawl his way over, and MJF flops to the floor! MJF’s ring awareness is strong but Ospreay pursues. Ospreay drags MJF up to put him in the ring, and then onto the apron. Ospreay uses a corner to go up and APRON OSCUTTER FLOP as MJF steps back! Ospreay writhes, signaling to his arm, and the ref hurries to check. MJF may have gotten lucky here, as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref has Ospreay go around the way but MJF is in pursuit! MJF shows no mercy as he grabs that bad arm, and RAMS Ospreay into steel steps! MJF stands on the steps to soak up all the heat, as well as talk some trash on Ospreay. It’s certainly in the vain of MJF is who AEW needs, not Ospreay. MJF drags Ospreay up and into the ring, then takes his time to taunt fans over the table. He flips the fans off, he isn’t gonna do what they want. MJF then goes back to Ospreay, grabs the bad arm, and he stands on it, to then STOMP it! MJF soaks up more heat as he paces around Ospreay, then clamps onto the arm again.

Ospreay endures the mounted armlock, and he fights to his feet. Now Ospreay pulls hair, but MJF throws Ospreay down by the arm. MJF grinds that shoulder but Ospreay still endures. MJF hops up to soak up more heat, then he refreshes with some water. That he then splashes at fans. Even with one arm, Ospreay hits a LAST RIDE!! Cover, TWO!! MJF reminds us why he was once the longest reigning AEW World Champion while Dynamite goes back to picture in picture.

Ospreay shakes out the arms, but Doc Sampson is called over to check. Doc checks that arm, from lifting to turning. Then Doc checks with Ospreay if he wants to do “that,” and Ospreay says go for it. Doc YANKS Ospreay’s arm to pop it back in place! Ospreay clutches the arm again but it seems that did the trick. Ospreay has the fans fired up again, and he drags MJF up for Kawada Kicks! Ospreay stands over MJF while Dynamite goes to break.

Dynamite 250 returns and Ospreay calls his shot. MJF rises, and he spins Ospreay around to BITE Ospreay’s face! The fans boo, MJF runs, but Ospreay HIDDEN BLADES!! Cover, TWO!!! The fans lose their minds all over again as MJF goes for broke! The ref checks both men, and they’re somehow okay to continue! “This is Awesome!” as we once again go picture in picture.

MJF flounders his way back to ringside and drags himself in. But Champion’s Advantage won’t let him win the title like this! Ospreay is still on the outside as we pass 5 of 10, and he starts to stir around 7. MJF then springs out after Ospreay to get him back in! Seems MJF was just resting, and he shouts about something, probably about how he’s better. MJF stands, paces around, then stomps Ospreay’s legs, then Dynamite goes to break.

Dynamite 250 returns again, and MJF has Ospreay in a Cobra Twist. MJF sneakily grabs the ropes to add on leverage! The ref looks but MJF lets go in time. There was literally two seconds left, but MJF pulls it off!! The Wolf of Wrestling proves he’s still just a lowdown dirty snake, but he’s the snake that stole the gold from the #BillyGOAT. Medics help both guys get icepacks, water and oxygen, and MJF rises like a zombie to celebrate himself. The Scumbag may have survived The Aerial Assassin, but will he be ready to go All In against The Bastard?

Backstage interview Mark Briscoe & The Acclaimed.

Arkady Aura is with the Sussex County Chicken, as well as Max Caster & Anthony Bowens, and says they asked for this time to talk with each other. Caster says that’s right, because they know Mr. Briscoe is on Team AEW for Blood & Guts. They also know that Team AEW needs a couple more partners, and the only way Mark gets “The Best Wrestler Alive” on his side is when Caster & Bowens join the team together. Plus, The Acclaimed just beat The Bucks a couple weeks ago, they have their number, this is a no brainer! Bowens says that’s right! And they’re also this close to becoming AEW World Tag Team Champions once again, they want a piece of The Bucks’ asses!

Plus, when you think AEW, you think The Acclaimed, because EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed! So they want in! Mark says that’s right! They had his back a couple weeks ago, so as far as he’s concerned, The Acclaimed is in, baby! But Mark’s not the only man calling the shots on this, if you understand what he’s saying. In steps AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland. Swerve says listen! They’ve been through their fair share of squabbles, so he knows what Acclaimed is all about. Swerve’s also been in battles with The Briscoes, so he knows Dem Boys are real tough people. There is nobody better to go to war with than those you’ve battled against.

Therefore, “y’all ready to get violent?” The Acclaimed say hell yeah! Hands in, and Mark warns The Elite that Team AEW is coming for them! LET’S GO, BABY!! Bowens & Caster follow Briscoe out, Swerve nods, will this team be ready to rip apart The Elite? Will Swerve be ready for The Rainmaker later on tonight in the main event? Or will Kazuchika Okada rain on Swerve’s House and wash it away?

“Big Bill” Morrissey is in the ring.

The Redwood introduces to the “seeds, saplings, roots and most importantly, branches,” the Learning Tree, Chris Jericho! The “For The World” Champion is accompanied by “Bad Apple” Bryan Keith as he makes his way out here, waving to Little Rock. The fans boo but Jericho still smiles. “Hi, guys~! Y’know, Little Rock, you need to take a few lessons from The Learning Tree. This city is such a high-crime, violent city, 1,533 crimes for ever 100,000 people, you can do better than that! But let’s talk about Dynamite 250 for AEW, I was on the very first Dynamite, and I’ve been on almost every single one since.

“And the ones that I missed, the Branches were so angry, cards and letters filed in, so I made a promise, I’m never gonna miss another Dynamite again.” The fans boo but Jericho says he’ll be on every one, even until episode 500! It’s like he’s said: When you listen to The Learning Tree, good things happen. And when you don’t, people get hurt, dammit! This isn’t right! Jericho is begging us all to listen to him! Look to those who haven’t. Shibata’s arm, Hook getting that fireball to his face, that’s horrible. And then Samoa Joe is literally driven through a wall because he wasn’t listening to The Learning Tree!

Jericho is begging us, this has to stop! People are getting hurt! At this point, everyone should realize they need to listen to Jericho. Surely everyone knows the teachings of Jericho are so important. Who would be crazy enough not to listen? Who would be psychotic enough not to use the teachings of Jericho? Who would be maniacal enough to- IS THAT MINORU SUZUKI!? Jericho is very worried seeing the Meanest Man in the World returning here to AEW! Suzuki has a paper in his hands, but what could it be? Suzuki goes to the ring and fans get fired up. Suzuki waits, and he steps in at “KAZE NI NARE~!”

Suzuki stares Jericho down while the fans cheer him on. Suzuki looks at the FTW Championship, then he snatches Jericho’s mic. “Next week…” Suzuki holds up the paper, Keith snatches it, and Keith reads it for Jericho. This is an official order from AEW management. The Redwood AND Bad Apple are banned from ringside for Jericho VS Suzuki, an FTW Championship match! Suzuki then HEADBUTTS Jericho down! Bill goes to help Jericho and Keith backs up. Suzuki grins and waves, “Bye, guys~!” Jericho looks to be fearing for his life now that he knows there is someone crazy enough to ignore his teachings. Will the King of Pancrase cut down The Learning Tree?

The Elite speak.

Nicholas asks Matthew and Okada if they heard all that. The Elite heard what The Acclaimed, Mark Briscoe and Swerve Strickland had to say, and it is ridiculous! What pisses them off even more is that The Acclaimed think they’re just gonna become two-time AEW Tag Team Champions. Not on their watch! Matt says what those guys need is a reminder about just who the hecc they are! This is THE Elite, the greatest team in AEW. And after next week, they’ll have all the gold and all the power! Nick points out it won’t be all the gold. Swerve is still AEW World Champion. Well, Matt says after what they do to Swerve, that title might just end up vacated.

Because see, they’re dealing with the most dangerous people in the business. They’re going up against The Young Bucks, the greatest tag team ever. They’re dealing with the Continental Champion, The Rainmaker, Kazuchika Okada. They’re dealing with the unpredictable Scapegoat, the TNT Champion, Jack Perry. And Matt’s favorite part: making his return to The Elite, Hangman Adam Page! And oh, in steps the TBS Champion, Mercedes Mone! The CEO says hi to the EVPs, and she thanks them for banning Britt Baker from even being backstage tonight so that she can’t ruin Dynamite 250 for them.

Matt says let’s just say there’s no drama coming from The DMD to the CEO, via the EVPs. Okada whispers something to Matt and Matt asks if Mone will do the dance for them. Oh, her CEO shuffle? Of course! C E O! C E O! Ok, got to go~! Mone heads out, Okada wipes himself down. He claims it’s just really hot back here. Matt & Nick say okay, sure. But will The CEO still be golden like The Elite? Or will she end up the Native Beast’s next meal?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Nyla Rose!

Well, as we just heard, there will be no Britt Baker anywhere tonight because that is how bad she got under The CEO’s skin. Mone even made sure this Open Challenge would not allow Britt to answer it, so in steps a different former AEW Women’s World Champion. Will Mone find there are threats all over the AEW roster? Or will she still be making that double champion type bank?

The introductions are made, the teal title is raised, and we see who is truly the Face of TBS!

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally and duel, the two tie up, and Mone tries but she can’t push Nyla back at all! Nyla puts Mone in a corner, Mone goes up the ropes, but the ref counts. Nyla lets off but Mone scuffs her. Nyla is annoyed, but she mocks Mone’s dance. Nyla runs up, Mone leaps over, but then Nyla runs up again. Mone gets around, waistlocks, but Nyla THROWS her away! The fans rally, Nyla storms up but Mone drop toeholds her onto ropes! Mone CLUBS and stomps away on Nyla. Mone drags Nyla up to stomp into a corner, but the ref counts. Mone digs her boots in, but lets off at 4.

Mone backs off to then storm back up and drag Nyla up. Mone talks trash, but Nyla reels her in! Nyla suplexes, and she holds Mone up, does a squat or two, but Mone slips free! Mone CLUBS Nyla, runs, but Nyla scoops her! Nyla stops the tilt-o-whirl, and shouts, “Have you lost your mind?!” Nyla suplexes to hang Mone out to dry! Nyla KNEES Mone, goes to the corner and climbs, and the fans fire up for the GUILLOTINE KNEE DROP! Nyla drags Money to the cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Nyla is frustrated, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Nyla drags Mone up, ELBOWS her down, then she drags Mone into a backbreaker rack across her knee! Mone endures, even as Nyla pushes her down! Mone fights free with kicks, then fires forearms. Nyla ROCKS Mone right back! Nyla then torture racks Mone to thrash her around! Mone endures, slips down, but Nyla blocks the arm-drag! Nyla whips Mone into the corner, then runs in, only for Mone to move! Nyla POSTS herself, then Mone goes to the apron. Mone BOOTS Nyla into the post! Nyla falls back, Mone soaks up the cheers and jeers, then she sits Nyla down. METEORA! Mone drags Nyla to a cover, TWO!

Mone is upset so she rains down fists! The ref reprimands, Mone lets off to swagger around. Mone stalks Nyla, stomps her around, then bumps her off buckles. Mone stands Nyla up for forearm after forearm, then she climbs up to rain down fists! Mone goes to nine, soaks up the cheers and jeers, but Nyla brings Mone off the corner! Mone RANAS Nyla away, hurries to run, and she METEORAS again! Cover, TWO! Mone is frustrated but Nyla’s a former champion for a reason. Mone drags Nyla up, and clamps on with a COBRA TWIST! Nyla endures, even as Mone puts on the pressure. Mone ELBOWS Nyla in the ribs, but Nyla powers out with a hip toss!

Mone stands, blocks a boot and KNEES Nyla back. Mone runs, slips around, and has a SLEEPER! Dynamite 250 returns to single picture while Nyla starts to fade! The fans rally, Nyla fights up, and she swings Mone around into a facelock! Nyla snap suplexes Money away! The fans fire up while Mone flounders to a corner. Nyla snarls, rises up, and runs in to back body block! And then LARIAT! Mone staggers back up, Nyla runs in at the corner and SPLASHES! Mone sits down, Nyla fires up and Little Rock is with her! CANNONBALL! Nyla drags Mone to a cover, TWO!! Mone survives, showing why she’s been champion all over the world.

Nyla snarls, and she goes up the corner. Mone stands to kick the leg! Nyla falls, Mone goes up and up to VADER BOMB! Nyla sputters, Mone gets moving, BOOT WASH! Mone pushes Nyla, goes up the corner, and she METEORAS again! Cover, TWO!! Nyla survives and Mone can’t believe it! Mone drags Nyla up, turns her, but Nyla’s too big to Gory Especial! Nyla RAMS Mone into the corner, the fans duel, but Nyla puts Mone up top. Nyla then climbs up to have Mone’s arm. But Mone fires elbows on Nyla! Mone adjusts position, and SUPER BULLDOGS! Mone then brings out a glove, all to mock Britt!

Mone puts on her glove, spells out “C! E! O!” RINGS OF SATURN, and then the LOCKJAW!! Nyla BITES Mone’s fingers!! That’s what Mone gets! But then DRIBBLES Nyla’s face off the mat, and puts on the STATEMENT MAKER! Nyla taps, Mone wins!

Winner: Mercedes Mone, by submission (still AEW TBS Champion)

Mone may not be able to do it like The DMD, but she still wins out and holds up both belts. Mone then spots a fan with a sign, “DMD > CEO,” and she snatches that sign! Mone RIPS the sign up, and the fan wearing the Sting mask is upset. That fan pie faces Mone!? Because surprise! It’s BRITT BAKER!! The DMD suck into the show and The CEO is running for her life!! Security surrounds Mone to shield her from Britt! The guards then swarm Britt, and Mone is safe, for now. Will Britt have her Wembley Stadium moment with Mone whether Mone likes it or not?

Jack Perry speaks.

The Scapegoat flips a coin, then tells Darby Allin, “You wanted to get my attention? Well, you’ve got it now. All you had to do was ask. Did you really have to go and hurt Brandon Cutler? Maybe what I mean to say is, do you think I give a s*it about Brandon Cutler?” He is standing OVER Brandon! And then THROWS him through a door! Jack SMACKS Brandon off a boiler, then tells Darby to come find Jack tonight. Then Jack will show Darby what real sacrifice looks like. Will The Relentless One get that fight with the TNT Champion after all?

Toni Storm is here!

The Leading Lady is back so soon after how brutally Mariah May betrayed her? Wait, no… That’s Mariah May taking her cosplay to a new level. The understudy is now portraying the part of AEW Women’s World Champion as she menacingly makes her way down to the ring. The fans boo the protege for how she did Toni Storm dirty, but Mariah grabs a mic for herself. The fans chant for Toni but Mariah sighs. “Let’s be honest. You all saw it coming. Everybody saw it coming, except Toni Storm.” The fans boo but Mariah says that woman is so desperate for the spotlight, she didn’t realize she was giving it all away.

“The question shouldn’t be ‘why,’ the question should be, ‘Mariah, what took you so long?’ Honestly, I didn’t think it would last this long either. But it was so… easy! And I was having so much fun stringing her along, I just wanted to see how far it would go. But then, I saw Wembley. And I thought, ‘Why take the old horse out back when I can kill it in front of as many people as possible?” The fans boo more but Mariah says she’s been Toni Storm, and now she can be so much more! Fans chant “We Want Toni!” and Mariah smirks. Mariah tells Toni not to worry, she still loves her. In fact, she’s never loved her more than when Toni was on her knees, screaming and crying Mariah’s name. “That was your greatest performance.”

As for Mariah’s greatest performance, that will be at All In! The fans boo more but Mariah says now, AEW is All About Mariah! Mariah then lies back on the mat to revel in it just like Toni would. But will Toni make sure Mariah suffers far worse than what she gave Toni?

AEW shares post show footage from Collision.

The Bang Bang Gang returned backstage but they’re asked about being stripped of the Unified World Trios Championships. Juice said hold on, they ain’t been stripped of nothing. Whoever wants these belts will have to pry them out of their cold, dead hands! But then Christopher Daniels and a couple refs appear backstage, and the Fallen Angel knows it isn’t the most popular decision, nor is it fair to the champs, but that’s the rules of AEW. Austin says he isn’t taking these belts! Daniels says it’s either that or they’re suspended and they don’t get a chance to fight for them against The Patriarchy.

Colten says fine, take ’em. Take all nine belts! Daniels gathers them up and Austin tells Christian Cage that they are not scared of a guy with a daddy fetish, some TikTok kid, a stepmom straight outta Brazzers, and a giant lizard! Juice says what will happen is The Collision Cowboys come home, and they come home with their little hardware homies! And if you’re not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP! Will Rock Hard Robinson, Fully Cocked Colten, and… Austin make sure Captain Charisma and his “sons” never touch the gold? Or can no one stop The Patriarchy from taking over AEW?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Kazuchika Okada!

It is a Champion VS Champion showdown to close this milestone episode, but no titles are on the line. However, Blood & Guts is just next week, and each side is looking for momentum. Will Little Rock belong to Swerve’s House? Or will The Rainmaker prove he’s the top champion in AEW?

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally for “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The two tie up, Okada headlocks for the takeover but Swerve headscissors. Okada kips free, roles reverse, but then Okada headscissors. Swerve kips free, blocks the takeover this time, and he brings Okada up to power out. Okada avoids the hurdle, BOOTS back, then runs. Swerve rolls to trip Okada, then runs. Okada avoids the House Call, waistlocks then ripcords, but Swerve ducks the lariat! Swerve half nelsons but Okada fights out! Swerve arm-drags, Okada headscissors, Swerve kips up, and fans fire up for the stare down!

Swerve grins but Okada brushes things off. The two reset, knuckle lock, and Okada kicks low! Okada CLUBS Swerve, ROCKS him with a forearm, then scoops. My Thoughts:

Now this was an awesome episode of Dynamite. They only advertised three matches, and it turns out that’s all we needed. Ospreay VS MJF was made the opener so they could just go off and give us almost an hour of their best stuff. It kinda makes some PPV matches feel lesser now, but hey, a match of the year candidate is still a match of the year candidate, no matter if it’s TV or PPV. MJF winning out surprised me, but he did cheat so that protects Ospreay. I was hoping for Ospreay VS Pac at All In, but I suppose “The Scumbag VS The Bastard” makes for some fun build. And with how much MJF was taunting Garcia, this has to mean Garcia shows up at All In to go after MJF.

TV Time with Jericho was properly short because we can’t actually drag the show to a screeching halt after how awesome Ospreay VS MJF was. As Jericho started listing qualities like “crazy” and “maniacal,” I just felt Suzuki showing up. Suzuki getting his FTW Championship match with Jericho next week is great, but I’m still thinking Jericho retains. Now, while Keith & Bill are banned from ringside, nothing is stopping Hook from showing up. Hook could go after Jericho after he retains, and that sets up Jericho VS Hook for All In. Which would be interesting because that makes it back to back All In shows for Hook and this FTW Championship.

Good promo from The Bang Bang Gang with Daniels, but like, so filler. Who needed to see them hand over the belts? Or rather, why couldn’t they have figured out to do that during Collision? Very good promo from Mariah May where she completes her transformation into Toni Storm’s replacement. She even phrased it “All About Mariah” to nod how this has been All About Eve the movie, in wrestling form. The fans kept going “What?” just cuz she was taking things slowly, which is rude, but I do feel she could’ve been faster about it. She was definitely going for something with her pacing, but maybe she was also just filling for a little more time. Toni will surely have a response next week or something, though.

Very good promo from Acclaimed with Mark Briscoe and Swerve to establish the Acclaimed joining Team AEW, and very good response promo from The Elite to call them out on it. Though, what a weird detail for Okada to be a Mone simp. He’s married for crying out loud! But that aside, Mone is still tangentially a part of The Elite, and she had a very good match with Nyla tonight. Mone of course found the way to win, but I do appreciate Britt gives us a Sting shoutout by wearing the Sting mask before revealing she was here. Mone running scared was pretty funny, and yeah duh, this match is happening at All In.

In relation, very good promo from Jack Perry, even if poor Brandon had to get beat up again. Jack calling Darby out was good foreshadowing for Darby’s own Sting tribute, and I figured last week that Darby Allin was going to be Team AEW for Blood & Guts. Great main event from Swerve VS Okada that The Bucks of course had to “ruin” to save Okada from a legit loss. At the same time, this keeps either champion from owing the other a title match so close to All In. Great brawl to give us the full 5v5, Blood & Guts is going to be some wild stuff, and it can definitely go either with so many champions involved this time. However, as Mark Briscoe is the only one whose rivalry is NOT in Blood & Guts, he probably takes the loss for Team AEW.

My Score: 9.1/10
