The Varsity Blonds speak.
“It’s funny that the Young Bucks would mention my late father, Brian Pillman, because most would be led to believe that’s what got me into the professional wrestling business.” Brian Pillman Junior tells us that could not be further from the truth! That man was the reason he stayed AWAY from wrestling for so long! Growing up, all he ever knew was the dark side of the ring, until he met the Young Bucks. A couple of good guys, family men, who showed BPJ that this could be down the right way, that he could succeed and fulfill his destiny. The Bucks are why the Blonds are here.
Griff Garrison says that in September of 2018, he was at a local show and was asked to run the Bucks’ merchandise table. He was so overcome with joy just to be around those guys. Fast forward a couple years, Griff is in AEW and realizes those aren’t the same guys. What the Bucks need is a reality check. And that will be in the form of the Varsity Blonds winning those AEW World Tag Team Championships! BPJ says it is such a shame that the Bucks had to go back to their old ways. We’ve heard that story, seen that movie before. But what you haven’t seen before is the story of BPJ, Griff Garrison, and the former national champion, Julia Hart, and they will not stop until the achieve their destinies! Will Bulletproof and the Ivy League MVP make sure the Bucks stop here?
Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston speak.
“We gotta be making some kind of a dent in this tag team division.” They’ve already been on Dark, Elevation and Dynamite against The Acclaimed. Are those boys any good? Kingston knows one’s a rapper. Really? Yeah, and the other is his friend. Oh, fantastic. Then they’ll do to The Acclaimed what they’ve to every other team so far! Wait, is that inviting them to a Superkick Party? Kingston isn’t even sure what that is, since neither of them throws a good superkick. Do they have to throw such kicks to go to such parties? Well, that’s not where they’re going anyway. This is not that. Tony Khan’s all about analytics, numbers. They gotta beef up the record, so they’re gonna beat the brakes off these boys!
The Acclaimed also speak.
“Yo, yo! Listen!” Anthony Bowens says they are pissed! Eddie Kingston from the bodega? Lunatic Cringe, Jon Moxley? They’re invading The Acclaimed’s space, they’re invading The Acclaimed’s tag division! Bowens isn’t sure if they’re dizzy from ramming trucks into trailers, but The Acclaimed are ranked higher! If Mox & Kingston want a shot at the tag titles, they have to go through The Acclaimed! And they won’t, because The Acclaimed will stomp their asses out! “And that right there is a mic drop! Boom!”
The Acclaimed VS Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston!
Max Caster & Anthony Bowens debuted an all new track and music video, All Talk, on last night’s Dark to diss the Maniac and the Mad King. And now, Platinum Max has a new rap to diss them directly! “Acclaimed is the Paradigm Shift. These two guys exchanged Valentine’s gifts. Yo, Eddie, why you dressed like it’s ’04? You look like a box o’ New Ports! And Mox, you’re outta your element. I’mma knock you out with this mic like Omega did! Call your girl, she’s all in mah mentions! Trying to hit me up for some oral sessions.” What? He meant the podcast! The Acclaimed have arrived, but will Moxley & Kingston prove The Acclaimed are the ones that are all talk?

The wild ones just took out the NUMBER THREE team in the AEW Tag Division! Will they be poised to face The Young Bucks at Double or Nothing for the titles? That is, if the Bucks are still golden by then?
Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.
Alex Marvez apologizes for interrupting as Dean Malenko checks out Jericho’s injured arm, but we need a scoop: Is the Inner Circle accepting the challenge for Stadium Stampede 2? Well, Jericho appreciates Marvez’s initiative, but he’ll have to wait just like everyone else. They will say later on, but Marvez should get going. Don’t want to make the Man of 1000 Holds angry. Marvez goes and Malenko reminds Jericho he had four more than him. Yeah but Jericho’s forgotten them. What will The Inner Circle have to say to The Pinnacle’s high stakes challenge?
Tony Schiavone interviews Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page in the ring.
The Face of the Revolution and All Ego have been making quite the impact both before and during Darby Allin’s TNT Champion. Scorpio says that when he was a child, Sting was everything he loved about pro-wrestling. Sting was everything good about the business! And just like all the other Stingers, Scorpio wanted to be just like him. “And then something happened: time. I don’t have to tell you, because you already know. You are not the same man you used to be,” Sting. And Scorpio isn’t a kid. He is a grown man warning Sting to step aside or be put down!
Ethan adds that he can finish this so Schiavone can go. Scorpio has already proven he can put Sting down when he put on that heel hook and made him miss a week! And on that same week he missed, Ethan threw Darby down stone steps! And then what happened after that? Darby lost his title! They can’t take full credit, because Miro is going to be one hell of a TNT Champion. But Darby, just know it was a little bit Ethan’s fault! Ethan knows how much that title means to Darby, calling it his “lifeblood!” That it means the world to him! So Ethan is going to take all of that away from Darby! Ethan is a man of his word, and he promises to be the nail in Darby’s coffin!
But the lights go out, and when they come back up, there’s the snow, the crow, and STIIIIIING~! The Icon stares down the bullies, goes right to the ring, and Darby appears from behind! Darby uses his skateboard to SMACK Scorpio, JAM Ethan, and Sting joins in with fists and stomps! Fans are thunderous as Sting hits Scorpio with a corner clothesline! Darby and Ethan scrap while Sting bumps Scorpio off buckles, and uses the skateboard to SMACK Scorpio in the ribs! Darby tackles Ethan back down to fire off more hands! Sting and Darby loom over Scorpio, and then here comes the Scorpion Deathlock! Darby CLOBBERS Ethan with his skateboard!
Scorpio endures the hold, taps out, but there won’t be anything that stops this! Darby glares at Ethan and plays defense until Sting is satisfied! Sting lets Scorpio go so he can retreat with Ethan! This is not over, because the Dark Order comes out to block the tunnels! Ethan and Scorpio run away through the crowd, but when will Darby and Sting look to break the Face of the Revolution and deflate Ethan’s ego?
The Pinnacle sits down for a fancy dinner.
Wardlow tells the waiter to leave the bottle, and then just chugs wine right from it! He wants another! MJF says Jericho is so funny and witty. Has anyone ever told him that? With his third grade humor, it is so great! Hahaha, Pineapple, not Pinnacle! MJF is My Jerkoff Friend! HAHAHA! Let’s just spray them with the Bubbly! So great, Chris, really. So good! MJF hopes that makes Jericho laugh and laugh and laugh. Because for the first time in Jericho’s career, he is dealing with a guy who always gets the last laugh.
Dax Harwood asks The Inner Circle if they think this is enjoyable for The Pinnacle. Do they think it’s fun to beat them up? No! The Pinnacle, the absolute best group in the world, should be chasing championships! They should be building a legacy! The foundation of what AEW is by being The Pinnacle, but they can’t because they’re dealing with The Inner Circle! It is embarrassing that Jericho is still making a mockery of the sport Dax’s family loves! Last year’s Stadium Stampede was a dog ‘n’ pony show! But this year, The Pinnacle is in control! It won’t be an SNL skit romcom comedy. This will be serious!
Speaking of serious, Shawn Spears wants a refill but the waiter is getting everyone else first, so he grabs the waiter to smoosh his face into a plate! Spears says he wants his drink already! Tully has Spears calm down, so he spares the waiter. Tully tosses the waiter a wad of cash and says that should cover it. MJF says if The Inner Circle decides to do Stadium Stampede 2, they need to understand it will be their last match. “Because when you’re in the Pinnacle, you’re always on top.” Will Jericho and his team take this warning into consideration when deciding on Double or Nothing?
Hikaru Shida VS Rebel w/ Britt Baker!
The AEW Women’s World Champion knows she’ll be facing The Doctor at Double or Nothing. But if somehow, by someway (probably nefariously and with help from Britt), Rebel were to win here tonight, could things drastically change before Memorial Day? Well, probably not, but they could! Will the Full Metal Warrior be ready for anything up Britt’s proverbial sleeves?
The bell rings and Shida circles with Rebel. Rebel shoves Shida and pretends her leg is still bad, but Shida stomps her down! Britt protests, the ref counts as they end up on ropes, and Shida lets off. Rebel does jumping jacks behind the ref’s back just to mock Shida! Shida shoves the ref aside, and Rebel kicks low! Rebel does a dance, Shida shoves her! Rebel swings, Shida blocks the punch to ROCK Rebel! Shida gets Rebel by her legs, and drops an elbow on one! And then another elbow! Britt coaches Rebel but Shida snatches the glove! Shida puts on the glove to send a message to Rebel, and she goes after Rebel’s arms! Britt gets the title belt!!
The ref sees Britt, she and Shida argue, but Rebel has her crutch! CRUTCH SHOT to Shida’s back! Rebel brings Shida up and around to suplex, for a SLAM! Cover, TWO! Shida is still in this and Rebel kicks, but Shida blocks it! Shida KICKS the leg, and again! Then she hits a SIT-OUT SHINBREAKER! And then the STRETCH MUFFLER!! Rebel endures, Shida just pulls harder, and now she taps!
Winner: Hikaru Shida, by submission
If Rebel didn’t need that crutch, she might now! But now Britt attacks Shida! The ref gets Britt to stop but Britt gets the belt! The ref is busy with Rebel as Britt lines up a shot, CURB STOMP to the belt! Britt picks the belt up from under Shida, and holds it over her! Will the AEW Women’s World Championship soon belong to Britt Baker, DMD?
AEW shares exclusive post-show footage from last week!
Kenny Omega uses his EVP authority to check in on Orange Cassidy in the trainer’s room. Best Friends and Kris Statlander stood in his way, and Don Callis asked they take it easy. Cassidy says it was alright, so his friends exited. Omega has the doc stay while they talk. “Rough night at the office, huh?” Omega asks if Cassidy even remembers what happened that night. Callis has the footage of what happened to Cassidy, specifically Cassidy taking that wicked powerbomb from Pac. Omega doesn’t want to rub salt in the wound, but he knows AEW values Cassidy’s talent. This isn’t just the champion speaking, but an EVP.
AEW needs Cassidy to be the mascot! Not so much the main-eventer challenging for the title. So to show that they care, the legal team drew up a little something just for this. Callis says that sometimes, a company has to protect the talent from themselves. Cassidy is a warrior, but someone has to be there to tell him to stop. So here’s the deal. A simple legal document that has Cassidy give up his right to challenge Omega at Double or Nothing because of injury, and then gets his dream match with Omega down the line. If Cassidy would, just sign on the dotted line so that- Cassidy tears the contract nice and slow! And then into more pieces.
Okay, okay, Cassidy isn’t right in the head. Omega wants to explain this to him. “Think about what happened with that powerbomb. What went wrong? Nothing. That’s just the level of talent in the upper echelon of AEW. That’s just the level of talent that lives at the top. And what’s gonna happen on a Pay-Per-View main event, if I pick you up onto my shoulders, and I drive you down with the One Winged Angel? I’m not gonna hold back. In fact, the damage that I do to you could be worse than that powerbomb ever could.” Omega could injure Cassidy, maybe end his career, or heck, even end his life. And no one wants that.
So Callis has a back-up copy for Cassidy. They don’t want him 10 years from now not even remembering his wife and kids’ names. So just listen. Don’t rip it, sleep on it, if he is able to sleep. Maybe just think it over. They say this because they care. Callis and Omega leave, but what will Cassidy’s response be seven days later?
The Inner Circle heads to the ring!
Jericho leads the way as he, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager are here to answer The Pinnacle’s challenge. Jericho soaks up the fans singing Judas for him before Ortiz speaks. “Everybody’s been asking. Everybody wants to know: What’s the Inner Circle gonna do about the Pinnacle?” Ortiz’s answer is, talk is cheap! He wants to FIGHT! Sammy cannot agree with him more. Pinnacle, Sammy said it before and he’ll say it now. So long as both groups are in the company, this won’t ever end! Sammy could jump off the top and hit a Shooting Star onto someone’s head, or he soaks them with Bubbly ever week, this won’t end until they have this match!
The Pinnacle calls themselves the best? They ain’t nothing more than a bunch of clowns! Especially last week, flopping around like dumbass fish in cheap-ass suits! Sammy’s answer is obvious! Hager says there is no choice! Since day one of Dynamite, the Inner Circle said they are the baddest! The consequences of not accepting are far worse! If they don’t, then they’re no better than The Pinnacle! Cowards and mediocre! And while The Pinnacle tries so hard to be The Inner Circle, Hager promises them, “The last thing we want is to be a bunch of schoolgirl bitches like you!”
Jericho finally speaks, and says all they have had great things to say. The Bubbly was great, too, right? It was all to get The Pinnacle’s attention, since they have their heads so far up each other’s asses, they can’t hear very well. But what Jericho heard loud and clear was the challenge for Stadium Stampede 2, and how the stipulation is, if The Inner Circle loses, they have to break up forever. Jericho wonders if it’s worth it. Was Blood & Guts worth it? The toll that it took on all ten men. The physical beatings, the parts of themselves they left behind that they’ll never get back. Buckets of blood, a pound of flesh, and pieces of their souls that will never come back. Was it worth it?!
No one will forget that night, especially Jericho. He’ll never be the same again because of MJF. “Max, you hurt me bad. And I’m not just talking the physical hurt. I’m not just talking the dislocated elbow, because eventually it will heal. Eventually, it will get better. What won’t get better, what won’t go away, is the mental image that I have of you throwing me off the top of the cage. The most terrifying moment of my life. Time stood still, I felt like I was falling for hours. And when I landed, my head almost hit the back of that stage, and if that would’ve happened, it would’ve been game over for Jericho! So was it worth it?!”
MJF scared Jericho’s family, children, and every single person who watched two weeks ago! Was it worth it?! Was it worth putting his body through it? Putting his family through it?! Was it?! The only answer Jericho has is when he thinks of the revenge he’ll get on MJF. YES, it was 1000% worth it! Jericho has the fire to knock MJF’s teeth down his throat, break his nose and punch him in the face over and over and over again! So if The Pinnacle wants an answer, whether The Inner Circle accepts, it is 1000% YES!! Fans fire up hearing that! “And if you beat us, if we can’t beat The Pinnacle… If we can’t beat the Pinnacle after all we’ve been through, we don’t deserve to be together anymore!”
But Jericho vows that won’t happen, because they told The Pinnacle before: “You’re going to have to kill us if you want to beat us, and we’re still alive!” Santana returns next week and he’ll show you he’s still alive! So at Stadium Stampede 2, HELL is coming for The Pinnacle! May 30th, Double or Nothing, The Inner Circle dances all over The Pinnacle’s faces, and pisses all over their graves! Will this next chapter in the war for dominance be its last?
Schiavone interviews Jade Cargill.
The hottest signee in AEW is still without a manager, has she made a decision? She is tired of repeating herself! She’s her own boss, she doesn’t- Mark Sterling shows up and wants to make sure Jade knows that he doesn’t want her to work for him! He doesn’t? No, he will work for her! The other managers in AEW, from Vickie Guerrero to Matt Hardy, they represent other women so that’d be a conflict of interest, and Taz named it all after himself! This is going to be Team Jade, and he will bring her brand to the top! Two weeks in a row, a stand-up with Schiavone? Where’s the sit-down with Good Ol’ JR?
Jade sees his point. What’s his name again? Mark Sterling. Well what he won’t do is come in here and interrupt her TV time. So what she needs to do is have him exit stage left, and maybe she’ll think on it. He does as asked and Jade asks who even is Mark Sterling. Will Mark be in the running? Or has Jade already made her decision?

One hell of a fight from Velvet, but she just didn’t have enough to take this title from Deeb! When and where will this title be defended again? And who will it be against?
PAC is furious backstage!
The Bastard is right outside The Elite’s private room as he demands Marvez and the cameraman stay. “Listen to me! I am sick and tired of getting robbed of opportunity in this company. You saw what they tried last week, didn’t ya? But they failed.” And now Pac has his match, and there’s nothing Kenny or Don or the Bucks or any of the elitists can do about it. So then, Pac asks Marvez: “At Double or Nothing, what fool bets against The Bastard now, huh? HUH!?” Whether Cassidy is still in it or not, will Pac make sure he and Omega pay for the powers at be holding him back?
Anthony Ogogo w/ The Factory VS Austin Gunn w/ Cody Rhodes & Arn Anderson!
Britain’s Olympic bronze medalist boxer quite literally threw the first punch, and added insult to injury by running down the United States. Cody vows to be the American Dream at Double or Nothing and make Ogogo eat his words, but will The Son of a Gunn get his shots in first?
The bell rings and Ogogo turns around into Austin’s SHOTGUN dropkick! Austin fires off hands, bumps Ogogo off buckles and throws hands over and over! QT Marshall sneers as Ogogo puts up his guard. Austin whips, Ogogo reverses, but Austin goes up and over. Things speed up, Austin jukes Ogogo to trip him up! And then he hits a THROWBACK! Ogogo staggers, Austin goes to hip toss but Ogogo blocks, to hit the BODY SHOT! That liver shot has taken down opponents in an instant, but Austin manages to survive! Cody and Arn coach Austin over to their side, but Ogogo waits on him to stand. Austin is on noodle legs, he gets ANOTHER BODY SHOT!
Ogogo grins but has some blood on his cheek. Ogogo just smiles as he looms over Austin, spitting up some blood of his own! The ref checks on Austin, and Austin tells him to let the match continue! Austin flounders up, his blood gets on Ogogo so Ogogo pushes him down. Ogogo sits Austin up, stands him up, and reels him in to POP-UP RIGHT HOOK!! Austin is OUT, Ogogo wins!
Winner: Anthony Ogogo, by referee stoppage
In other words, a knockout in the first! Cody checks on Austin, but Ogogo snatches his stars ‘n’ stripes! Cody sees that, Ogogo throws it back at him, and Cody catches it before it hits the ground. Arn takes the flag for Cody as he stares down Ogogo. Ogogo has The Factory backing him up, and they head out. Ogogo warns Cody to keep his hands up, but will Cody put Ogogo down?
Backstage interview with Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian.
They can’t be SoCal Uncensored or even The Addiction anymore, as they lost to The Young Bucks last week. An end of an era, but what about Daniels’ cryptic tweet from last week, simply saying, “That might be all?” What does the future hold for these two? Daniels has Marvez move aside so that he can shake hands with Kaz. Daniels says he loves Frankie, and whispers something else, before walking off camera. Kaz says he doesn’t have the words or the time to explain what Daniels has meant to him, both professionally and personally. “Whatever path CD chooses to take, he’s earned the right to take that path.”
As for Kaz, he knows exactly what path he is on. Kaz lost so much more than just a match last week. He lost a part of himself and it was taken from him. He isn’t just blaming Matt & Nick Jackson. Hell, the Bucks might lose the titles tonight! But Kaz is blaming Gallows & Anderson, Kenny Omega, and even Don Callis, Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler. As far as Kaz is concerned, they’re all at fault! Kaz is going to hunt down every member of The Elite, make them learn about loss and know what it feels like to have their hearts ripped out of their chests! Kaz will have his recompense or die trying! Kaz is a bomb you can’t defuse and a gun you can’t unload. That is not a promise, that is not a threat, that is GOSPEL, according to Frankie Kazarian!
Sammy Guevara returns while AEW is picture in picture.
The Spanish God has his cue cards again to give another message. “Overconfidence precedes carelessness. When you’re The Pinnacle, you’re always overconfident! And last week, you were definitely careless. You made a challenge, you also made a mistake! Only the dead truly know the end of war. The Inner Circle is far from dead! This war is far from over! At Double or Nothing, The Inner Circle VS The Pinnacle, Stadium Stampede II! This time, there will be no surrender! We will not be defeated! We have homefield advantage! And some unfinished business. See you on the field, boys.”
Miro is here!
The NEW AEW TNT Champion, The Best Man, is back to address everyone properly after his win last week. “First and foremost, I want to thank Jesus Christ for protecting me. Also I want to thank Jesus Christ for giving me strength, power and more aggression than everybody else so I could destroy everybody!” That is Miro’s talent. But that isn’t Darby’s talent, is it? After he talked all that crap, Miro beat Darby up so bad, he took what Darby said could never be taken. And now everyone knows that it doesn’t matter if you’re the baddest man on earth, or the hottest thing in AEW, if you have what Miro wants, it’s done!
Miro says Darby disrespected him, but he forgives him as a reasonable man. All Darby has to do is go home, make another gritty student video, and- Fans chant, “We Want Darby!” but Miro says Darby’s right here. He holds up the TNT Championship and chuckles. Miro is champion now, and no one will stop him! That’s why, next week on Dynamite, someone’s getting an opportunity for MIRO’s TNT Championship, and he will make sure he destroys that someone over and over and over again! But here comes Lance Archer! Jake the Snake tries to keep the Murderhawk Monster from going to the ring, so Archer just tells Miro to “shut the hell up!”
Archer hears Miro talking about hurting people. Archer was the beast of All Elite while Miro was trying to have a day all to himself. Miro doesn’t even understand the history of that title! One year ago, Archer and Cody Rhodes stood in the ring and fought for the first-ever TNT Championship. Archer didn’t leave the winner then, but he’ll be damned if on May 30th, 2021, he doesn’t walk out the NEW TNT Champion. Miro, honestly, Archer is happy you won, because now they get to give the people the monster fight they haven’t seen since Godzilla VS King Kong. And from one big bad son of a bitch to another, Archer can’t wait until they beat the hell out of each other!
At Double or Nothing, in front of a sold out crowd, Archer vows to put Miro’s ass in the ground, hold that belt over his head, and make Miro into a Bulgarian bitch! Oh, wow, that hurts so much, Murderhawk. Miro’s never heard that before. But Miro finds it funny Archer is “the monster” but he has an old man holding him back. When Miro wanted the title, nothing held him back! But next time, Archer better pray to God Jake doesn’t get any closer than this! Because no amount of yoga is gonna save Jake’s life! As far as the Murderhawk goes, everybody dies, and that’s true! But Miro insists Archer goes first! What happens when Double or Nothing becomes the war of the monsters?!
BREAKING NEWS for Friday Night Dynamite!
Miro is right, there will be a challenger for his TNT Championship that night! Top Flight’s Angel Dorado, Dante Martin, steps up to The Best Man! But will Miro make Dante into a real angel just to make his point? And we’re getting a rematch from all the way back at All In, when Joey Janela and Hangman Page go 1v1! And for the tale of the tape, Cody Rhodes and Anthony Ogogo will have an official live weigh-in! Then, Jade Cargill issues an open challenge! Who will step up to the storm that is #ThatBitch?
And, knowing full well that Double or Nothing could be their last night together, Chris Jericho and his team will hold “A Celebration of The Inner,” to look back at their already storied two years together. Plus, the Dark Order OG, Evil Uno & Stu Grayson, look to humble Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page 2v2, while Darby returns to in-ring action against the Beautiful Brazilian V8, Cezar Bononi! And before she faces Britt Baker with the title on the line, Hikaru Shida celebrates ONE FULL YEAR as AEW Women’s World Champion!
And as we saw, Orange Cassidy has a decision to make in regards to the AEW World Championship match! Will Freshly Squeezed still throw caution to the wind and be part of the Triple Threat of AEW’s “upper echelon?” Plus, information on the Casino Battle Royal and Buy-In matches, all at a special start time of 10 PM Eastern, still on TNT!
Speaking of Double or Nothing…!
Another match has just been added to the already stacked night! Sting & Darby Allin will take on Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky in a tag team match! The first in-ring match for The Icon since coming to AEW, will he show All Ego & the Face of the Revolution that he is STILL that man they grew up admiring?
And the full Casino Battle Royal field is known! Jungle Boy, Matt Sydal, The Varsity Blonds, The Acclaimed, Penta El Zero M, Lee Johnson, Dustin Rhodes, Will Hobbs, The Factory’s QT Marshall and Nick Comoroto, The Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Colt Cabana and Preston Vance, the Hardy Family Office’s Private Party, Blade and Hardy himself, as well as Christian Cage and of course, a WILD CARD! Paul Wight will be joining commentary for this big match, but who comes out the ace headed for the AEW World Championship?
AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Young Bucks VS Varsity Blonds w/ Julia Hart!
Matt & Nick Jackson were highly respected by young wrestlers and tag teams, just like Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr. But joining their old friends, going back to their old ways and becoming even worse than they used to be has lost them all of that respect and admiration. Will it lose them their titles at the same time? Or will they make Griff & BPJ look more like JV tonight?
As if to add insult to injury, Brandon Cutler scoops up the streamers so the wrestlers ringside don’t get to have them. Nick gives that headband that’s more a cross between a dead cockatiel and a Furby pelt to Michael Nakazawa to wear with his headset. The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if the Bucks’ attitudes cost them the gold to close out Dynamite!
Nick and Griff start, and the two circle. They tie up, Griff shoves Nick down and flexes those Ivy League MVP muscles. They tie up again, Griff puts Nick in a corner but Nick avoids the clothesline. Things speed up, and Griff BOOTS Nick down! Matt tags in but Griff sends him into BPJ’s haymaker! Matt pinballs between the Blonds, Griff BOOTS him down, too! Tag to BPJ, BPJ runs to clotheslines and CHOP Nick! The Blonds send the Bucks at each other, the Bucks do-si-do, but into dropkicks! The Bucks bail out and the fans fire up with The Blonds! BPJ and Griff mock the Bucks’ pose and that pisses the Bucks off!
Nick gets in but trips on the ropes and falls on his face! Nick staggers up, BPJ clotheslines him back out! BPJ then watches as Nick throws a fit and kicks the railing, only to hurt his foot! Brandon massages Nick’s foot while Matt gets in, but BPJ hip tosses him! Then arm-drags! BPJ has the armlock and fans fire up as he shifts through to a wristlock! BPJ gets Matt up, wrenches, YANKS the arm, and tags Griff. Griff CLUBS the arm, wrenches and whips, BPJ tags in, and Griff gets Matt up for BPJ to dropkick him down! Cover, TWO! BPJ keeps Matt down with a chinlock, shifts to a facelock and wrench, then YANKS the arm! Tag to Griff, he hops up and drops an elbow on the elbow!
Griff scoops Matt and SLAMS him! Tag to BPJ, and BPJ slingshot sentons but onto knees! Matt gets up to handspring and headscissor Griff, Nick runs in to dropkick Griff down! The fans boo but the Bucks soak up the heat. Matt kicks and whips BPJ out of the ring and onto the ramp! Tag to Nick, Nick climbs and Matt helps him go Old School, to then leap and DOUBLE STOMP BPJ! Then Nick LEAPS to take down Griff! Nick smiles as he and Matt regroup to strike their pose together. They drag BPJ up and Nick bulldog hotshots him down! The ref check son BPJ as he falls against steel stage! Nick dares BPJ to get up as AEW goes picture in picture.
Nick goes up the ropes as BPJ stands, and Nick jumps to drop ax handles! BPJ writhes on the ramp, Nick pretends to be the Macho Man, and he gets BPJ up and into the ring with a toss! Nick stomps BPJ, shows off the Nike Diors, tags in Matt and Matt stomps BPJ down. Matt clubs away, drops elbows, and brings BPJ back up. BPJ throws body shots and a CHOP! BPJ scoops but his back won’t let him finish! Matt CLUBS BPJ back down, drags him back up, and gets him to the top rope. Matt throws hands, positions BPJ just right, then climbs up to join him. BPJ fights back, sends Matt staggering, and leaps, but Matt avoids the crossbody! BPJ flops and Matt swaggers about.
Matt gets BPJ up, tags Nick in, and they combine for the slingshot leg drop BACKBREAKER! Cover, but Griff breaks it! Matt protests but then fakes the tag with Nick! Matt chokes BPJ on the ropes! The ref reprimands, Matt tags Nick back in, and Nick scrapes BPJ’s face on ropes! Nick puts BPJ in a corner to whip him corner to corner hard, and BPJ bounces off buckles to hit the mat! Matt mocks BPJ’s pain, Nick whips BPJ the other way and just as hard! BPJ again hits the mat, Nick double guns and then stomps BPJ. AEW returns to single picture as Nick gets BPJ up. Nick whips BPJ again, BPJ goes up and CROSSBODIES! Direct hit and fans fire up!
BPJ and Nick are both down, they both crawl, and they both hot tag! Matt runs in but Griff rallies on the Bucks! Elbows and clotheslines, a BIG back drop for Nick! Back body block to Nick, Ivy League level SPLASH on Matt! Griff whips Matt into Nick, then runs in to SPLASH them both! Griff keeps going, DOUBLE SPEAR!! The Bucks bail out and fans are thunderous as Griff FLIES!! Direct hit and the Bucks go down! The Blonds fire up with the fans and Griff puts Matt in. Matt kicks but it’s blocked, ROLLING ELBOW to a FLYING CLOTHESLINE! Griff covers, TWO! Griff keeps his cool as fans rally up behind the Blonds!
Griff tags BPJ, they coordinate and get Matt up, but Nick anchors BPJ! Mat throws hands and Griff falls, then Nick slingshots in to go up and around and PENALTY KICK Griff from the apron! Matt SUPERPLEXES BPJ! Matt soaks up the heat from the fans and their peers at ringside as he tags Nick. The Bucks have BPJ alone, Nick PENALTY KICKS him! Matt PENALTY KIKCS him! Nick kicks, Matt kicks, repeat! BPJ starts pushing back! BPJ blocks Nick’s superkick to send it into Matt, then SUPERKICKS Nick! Cover, Matt breaks it! Fans rally for BPJ, Nick swings into his waistlock! Matt tags before the O’Conner Roll, sunset flip to a SHARPSHOOTER!
BPJ endures as Matt sits deep on the hold! Brandon distracts the ref, Nick gets BPJ with the cold spray right in his eyes!! Griff BOOTS Matt down! Nick SUPERKICKS Griff! The hold is broken and Nick pretends his leg is hurting. Brandon gets Matt the can of spray but Julia points it out! The ref sees that and Matt tries to apologize! But they have a spare! He sprays Julia!! But BPJ gets Matt in a cradle! TWO!!! Matt SUPER- NO! BPJ blocks, but Matt blocks his kick! Matt trips BPJ, and puts the SHARPSHOOTER back on!! BPJ endures, Nick DECKS Griff! Slingshot FACEBUSTER!! Then handspring MOONSAULT onto Griff! BPJ taps, the Bucks win!!
Winners: The Young Bucks, by submission (still AEW World Tag Team Champions)
Callis claims he’ll go make sure the Bucks are okay, and Brandon goes to use cold spray but they used it all cheating! Matt & Nick still have the gold, and now Moxley & Kingston are here! The Bucks try to reason with them, but no dice! Moxley and Kingston fire off on Matt and Nick! Kingston is even BITING Nick! Moxley spins Matt around for the SLEEPER! Kingston puts one on Nick!! The Bucks are passing out!! Fans chant, “You Deserve It!” And Kingston snatches Nick’s Nikes! Same for Moxley to Matt!
And this just in! With SCU no more and both the Blonds and Acclaimed having lost tonight, Moxley & Kingston are the NEW #1 contenders, and will face the Bucks for the belts at Double or Nothing!! Will the titles just be golden icing on the cake for the beatdown they’ll be serving the Bucks?
My Thoughts:
This was a wild, awesome episode! It almost felt like it should’ve been the go-home, but that’s next week. With NBA taking over TNT next week, Dynamite goes to Friday at a special time and promises it will be live to kick off Double or Nothing weekend. That night will surely be big with what they advertised for it, but I don’t think it’ll be quite as jam-packed as tonight was. Christian VS Sydal was very good, and it makes sense for Team Taz to come after Christian and Hangman to go after them. Team Taz stands tall now, because I’m pretty sure they all end up losing to Christian and Hangman in their respective matches.
We got good promos from The Acclaimed and Moxley-Kingston before their match, as well as another strong rap from Caster. The match was very good, but it was clear Moxley & Kingston were going to win because how The Bucks challenged them to a match at Double or Nothing. The Varsity Blonds also had a very good promo, and we got an awesome main event with them and the Bucks. Similarly, we knew The Bucks would win because they’re going to face Moxley & Kingston, but now the titles will be on the line to up that match. I suppose the cheating the Elite did works to get The Bucks Heel Heat while also keeping the Varsity Blonds strong so they can come back around one day. Kingston stealing the Nikes was hilarious, too. I’m not sure if him wearing them or selling them would be funnier for story.
I like that Omega is doubling down on him disrespecting Orange Cassidy as a contender. Him trying to give Cassidy an out is really so he has a way out of the Triple Threat, but we already know that Cassidy will say no next week. Pac had a good promo tonight, too, and Kazarian saying he’s going to hunt The Elite down already implies that maybe he gets involved next week or at Double or Nothing. Kaz getting involved could even allow Omega to retain because Kaz argues with Pac and Omega capitalizes. Kaz’s line about Daniels having earned whatever choice he makes next is true, Daniels could stay in AEW or retire completely, and no one could judge him for it.
Ethan & Scorpio had a great promo and the attack from Darby & Sting was great, too. I actually like that we’re getting a traditional match for these two teams, but that means Darby will surely be doing the most work for his team. Sting probably gets a hot tag but could still end up losing, since he and Darby won the cinematic back at Revolution. Shida VS Rebel was of course so Britt could stand tall here. But Shida is having her anniversary celebration next week before the PPV, so Britt probably defies math and wins anyway. Serena VS Velvet was awesome, but it makes sense Serena retains. Thunder Rosa wants to get both belts, so this all goes in line with her taking the belts from her rivals in Britt and Serena on the road to All Out.
Ogogo VS Austin was exactly what it should’ve been with the body shots and the blood, as well as Ogogo talking some trash to Cody. Having a weigh-in next week is clearly just for show, as was the previous AEW weigh-in, I believe. I think it would make more sense if they had a tense press conference segment because those happen with boxing and UFC/MMA all the time. Miro and Archer had good promos, though Miro using Jesus in his was a bit surprising. Miro will definitely squash Dante Martin, and we’re going to get an awesome match of Miro and Archer at Double or Nothing. I can’t call it, because Miro just got this belt but Archer lost last year and he has to win something. Flip a coin then tell it to shut up, we’re getting a show stealer here.
The Casino Battle Royal field looks good, and I can’t wait to see who the mystery entry is this year. A new signee they’ve kept under wraps? Someone returning? It’s always something exciting, I can’t wait. The Pinnacle had a really good dinner table promo, a lot of subtleties I am sure I missed, and that is what makes them a great group already. The Inner Circle’s response promos were great, Stadium Stampede II will be great, and this is another case of flipping the coin then ignoring the result because this is going to be too awesome to call.
My Score: 9.4/10

Backstage interview with The Don Callis Family.
Renee Paquette is with Don Callis himself, as well as The Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita. Things have been booming for the Family, but what is next after that big win on Ricochet at Full Gear? Callis says Renee needs to use more superlatives for Konosuke. Booming? This is domination! But then Will Hobbs steps in! Callis says hey, Powerhouse, welcome back! Hobbs stops Callis and tells him to back up. It seems Callis forgot Hobbs’ email, phone number, address, didn’t even think to check on him at all. Right? Right. So let’s keep this short and sweet: Hobbs wants what Konosuke has. Hobbs wants to be AEW International Champion!
Callis says hey, what is going on here? They have history! Hobbs is going to step to Konosuke? Duh. Well, okay, yeah, Callis admits Hobbs deserves a shot. Backstage interview with Thunder Rosa.
Renee is now with La Mera Mera and brings up how Rosa’s keeping a close eye on Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa. Yes, let’s do the math: the last time Rosa was in the ring with Mariah May, Rosa won; last time Rosa was in the ring with Mina Shirakawa, Rosa won. So therefore, she is 2-0 against them, so Rosa is pretty sure she deserves the next shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship, regardless of who wins. And yes, Mina is an excellent wrestler, it would be an honor for Rosa to face her again. As for Mariah, well, Rosa brings out a looong list, and though it’s all Espanol, it’s all bad. The point is, it will be so much fun to beat Mariah until she cries!
Winter is Coming and the title match can go either way, but one thing that won’t change is that Rosa is La Mera Mera! Women’s Wrestling in AEW is alive and well! And as long as the fans believe in Rosa, she’ll scratch, claw, and fight until she gets the title back! So tell this to everyone: Good luck, you’re gonna need it. Rosa heads out, all fired up, but who will she look to burn after Mariah and Mina have it out?
The Death Riders are here!
Jon Moxley, Marina Shafir, Pac & Wheeler Yuta make their way through the GalaxyCon crowd to go right to the ring. Moxley grabs a mic and paces around. “People wanna talk? Then let’s talk, Ohio. Let’s talk about people who don’t wanna be AEW World Champion. And there’s a lot of them. There’s not a single soul in this building that wants to be AEW World Champion. They think they do, they say they do, but they don’t.” The fans chant for “Freshly Squeezed!” but Moxley says no, “they are not ready to make the sacrifices necessary. They are not ready to shoulder the weight. They are not willing to put themselves in harm’s way.
“Yeah, they wanna hold the belt and shine it up real nice, hold it up over their head and take pictures with it. They wanna strap it around their waists, but quite frankly, none of them deserve tot even lay eyes on the AEW World Championship, and it is MY responsibility to make sure that they don’t!” Is that why it’s been in the briefcase this whole time? Moxley says he’s talking about guys like Switchblade Jay White. Jay White is one hell of a competitor, one hell of a wrestler, and Moxley has a lot of respect for him. But Jay White is a child! Jay White doesn’t know the first thing about what it takes to be world champion!
The fans boo, but Moxley says Hangman Adam Page is self-destructive, miserable and insecure. He’ll probably take himself out of the game before he even sniffs another world championship! The fans cheer for #CowboyS*it, but Moxley says none of these guys really want it. And then there’s Orange Cassidy. “We found out at Full Gear exactly who Orange Cassidy was. He was not the guy. His peers hoped that he was, but he was not ‘The One.’ He was not the one foretold of in the prophecy. He did NOT have what it takes to get the job done! My only regret is that I let Orange Cassidy leave New Jersey with his skull intact!”
The fans boo and call BS, but Moxley tells Cassidy one last time, and he’ll tell the world one time so they better listen! “In a business full of pretend, full of talk, full of a bunch of talk and no action, I MEAN WHAT I SAY, and I don’t bluff.” If Cassidy pisses Moxley off one more time, Moxley takes him off the board for good. Well here comes Cassidy! Cassidy walks to the ring and Moxley already has a headache. Cassidy rolls into the ring, right past Pac, and then looks at the briefcase in Marina’s hands. Cassidy then looks Moxley up and down, then he brings out a mic from inside the jacket.
The fans cheer Cassidy on, and he says, “I can live without ever being the AEW World Champion. But see, what I can’t live with is you as the AEW World Champion. So I’m going to do whatever it takes, I’m never going to stop, until you are not the AEW World Champion.” The fans cheer that! Cassidy says the only way he stops is if Moxley kills him. Cassidy then throws his mic down at Moxley, then throws his sunglasses! And then his jacket! And his shirt! Cassidy eggs The Death Riders on, but it’s Marina who SMACKS him down with the briefcase! And then the gang all stomps away on him!
The fans boo, but Moxley rains down fists! Moxley CLAWS Cassidy’s eyes, then has Pac drag Cassidy up. Pac TOSSES Cassidy out, then Yuta goes out to tell him this is what he gets! Yuta and Pac drag Cassidy from ramp to the side of the stage! And then to the back? Moxley & Marina follow, where are The Death Riders taking Cassidy?
FTR speaks!
The #TopGuys are backstage as Cash Wheeler says, “So it’s funny, because for the better part of ten years, we’ve done everything we could to go down in history as the best. We have fought to be the most decorated, fought to go down in history as THE best tag team to ever do this. And then, a few months ago, Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina, and it’s not about wrestling anymore, it’s not about tag team gold anymore. Now, we fight for the fallen.” Dax Harwood says on Wednesday, January 1st, it is a monumental day for AEW. The first time ever, on TBS and streaming for HBO Max, it will be AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen!
But even more than that, it is a big day for FTR as they spearhead the event coming to Ashville, North Carolina, to save people, save lives, raise money and raise awareness. And perhaps most importantly, FTR is building a… Oh, what’s going on? OH, the Death Riders are dragging Cassidy through here! Marina fights off security and staff, and Moxley has another bottle of cleaning solution! He says he’s gonna make this one count! Pac & Yuta hold Cassidy’s arms back while Marina holds Cassidy’s mouth open! Yuta has a funnel! Moxley says this time, Cassidy will get the message! But FTR saves Cassidy!
Cash & Dax dare the Death Riders to do something with them around, wielding steel pipes! Moxley has his team stand down, and he says they’ll learn the lesson, too. The Death Riders retreat, but will they find a way to take the Top Guys out?

Backstage interview with Top Flight Airlines.
Renee is now with Lio Rush, Action Andretti, Leila Grey & The Martin Brothers. She needs to talk the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal from last Wednesday. There came a point where they were not all on the same page, what happened? Leila would like to know that herself! What was that move about? Leila is of course referring to Lio & Action being united in turning on Darius & Dante before the end. Leila says that was crazy out there! This is supposed to be a team, but perhaps Lio & Action don’t understand that. Leila gets annoyed when Lio & Action don’t say anything, so she calls out Action directly.
Action says yeah, okay, he and Lio took Darius & Dante outta the match. But it was a battle royal! If you aren’t aware, but that’s how it works! Every man for themselves! Darius says yeah, they are aware. But he and Dante were just confused why Lio went along for the ride. It’s interesting how they wore matching gear. Last time Darius checked, all four of them were a team! When did it suddenly become some combination of Action & Lio? Lio says it became a combination of them because Darius & Dante kept losing everything for them! So the way Lio sees it, he and Action are going to be chasing the tag titles, not Darius & Dante.
Dante says if that’s all this was about, they could’ve just said so. They didn’t need to go stepping on toes just to get there, stupid! Well, maybe it needed to happen. For what? Lio’s ego? Action asks who these “Minnesota Morons” are calling stupid! MORONS?! Leila shouts, “ENOUGH!” If they’re gonna fight, fine, just not back here. Action says it sounds like they’ll settle this in the ring. Lio & Action go one way, Darius & Dante the other, with Leila stuck in the middle. Which half of Top Flight will find themselves as the top team?

Renee had a backstage interview with both Mark Briscoe and Daniel Garcia, they just competed in the C2 that night but would have to turn around to face each other on Collision. The TNT Champion has 4 points, the Sussex County Chicken still has none. Mark’s been in this position before, how will he close the gap this time around? Mark says this time of year, many people go through a tough time. But Mark personally, two years in a row now, he starts with zero wins two rounds in on the Continental Classic. Winner: Mark Briscoe, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Garcia earns 0)
What a wild one! Mark said he needed the points, and he got those points! Mark and Garcia still show each other respect, and now we all move on to Winter is Coming! Garcia is still even with Okada at 4 points, so second place is still up for grabs! Who manages to move up and capture that semifinals spot for Worlds End?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision and great go-home to Winter is Coming. Very good promo from Rosa, and a very good hype package for Mariah VS Mina that I skipped, and a pretty good match from Mina VS Emi. It was a little clunky at first, and maybe that finish was also a little strange, but Mina was of course winning. Rosa wanting in on the world title scene, I would think Mariah retains so we get Mariah VS Rosa at Worlds End. Good promo from Top Flight, Dante & Darius VS Lio & Action will be really good stuff, and I think Lio & Action win to set themselves up as potential challengers to Private Party. They might even leave Top Flight to join Hurt Syndicate together, but maybe not.
Awesome match from Willow and Deeb, and Deeb wearing a shirt that says “Nobody Cares” and the arrow pointing up at herself, kinda taking Britt’s insult and owning it. Perhaps they still circle back to that feud just to help both women bide time. Willow winning was the right move, and I would think Willow wins next week because Hayter and Julia Hart have their feud that’s building. Mortos destroying Aaron Solo just because was pretty great, but he’s of course losing to Okada at Winter is Coming.
Speaking of Okada, I am rather surprised he lost, but I suppose Kyle cheating him like he did Shelton Benjamin is fine. Well, “fine” in that it keeps Okada strong, but Kyle should really be building himself up a bit more. We got an awesome match Darby VS Komander, too, and I figured Darby was getting the win, but it’s still annoying that the rounds are all lopsided, not everyone having competed in the same amount of matches as the others. As such, it doesn’t sound like Darby’s competing again until December 18th, but Ospreay’s gonna be at Winter is Coming AND Holiday Bash.
But that aside, Garcia VS Briscoe was an awesome main event, and Briscoe winning was a big surprise. Maybe they’re making Blue League more about a race for second place, since we’ll be getting big semifinal matches at the start of Worlds End, and the tournament finals are later. I would think Okada gets the second spot in Blue League so he can at least “defend” his Continental Championship at the PPV. And with this win over Garcia, Mark and Garcia could have a rematch for the TNT Championship at Worlds End, too.
My Score: 8.8/10

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kazuchika Okada VS Mark Briscoe!
The Rainmaker, THE Continental Champion, only has one point after he and Daniel Garcia went to a time limit draw! But that’s still a bit better than the Sussex County Chicken and his definitive loss. Will Mark #ManUp and get a huge win tonight? Or will Okada reestablish himself as the frontrunner of this tournament?

Okada goes back outside so that restarts the count, and he SMACKS Mark off the steel steps! Mark sputters but Okada brings him around. Okada POSTS Mark hard! Okada leaves Mark behind to refresh the count, then he puts Mark in the ring. Okada at least wants to win this himself, and he scuffs Mark. Okada stands Mark up, just to DDT him back down! And with that, THE Continental Champion has four points! The top two of each league will face off at Worlds End, can Okada secure his spot in the semifinals? Will Mark ever get on the board at this rate?
Chris Jericho speaks from commentary.
The Nueve says he enjoyed that opening match, and he knows there are more on the way, but he has something he has to do first. Jericho wants to speak on Matt Cardona so he’s gonna go to the ring to do it! As Excalibur explains, “The Complete” Matt Cardona surprised everyone last night on ROH TV to confront Jericho. Jericho has a mic and his hat, and he steps into the ring while bragging about said hat. It is very expensive to fit the quality that Jericho is used to. But he has to say as The King of New York, last night on ROH, he challenged anyone from New York to face him for the ROH World Championship.
Jericho was interrupted by Matt Cardona! The fans cheer that name and Jericho asks, “You like Matt Cardona?! I’ll tell you this, though: Nobody touches a man’s hat! Us native New Yorkers don’t stand for that, Cardona. And you’re lucky I didn’t punch you in the face and knock your teeth down your throat when you accosted me and assaulted me on ROH last night!” In fact, Cardona, if you were here right now, you’d have no idea what Jericho would do to you! But wait! Cardona IS here! It’s like deja vu from just last night as Cardona goes into the ring and fans chant, “Always Ready!” Cardona tells Jericho, them at Final Battle, he says he’s always ready and the people know it.
But it is more than just a catchphrase or gimmick, it is the way Cardona lives his life. He is always ready for any opportunity. Final Battle may be the biggest opportunity of Cardona’s career. But he’s not the same kid Jericho knew 15 years ago. Cardona has been busting his ass for the past five YEARS to reinvent himself! The fans cheer that! Cardona says Final Battle, Hammerstein Ballroom, in Cardona’s backyard, his turf, it doesn’t matter about proving anyone wrong, it is about proving himself right. And that is what’ll happen when Cardona beats Jericho for the ROH World Championship!
Jericho nervously speaks up, saying he wants to make something clear here. Jericho respects Cardona, he really does. Because Cardona has reinvented himself! He is a way bigger star here and now in 2024 than he ever was before! That is true! So much respect for that. But it’s funny to Jericho. Even after all Cardona’s accomplished and all that he’s done, he’s still just “Zack.” And then Jericho SLAPS Cardona! Cardona SMACKS Jericho! Cardona TACKLES Jericho and rains down fists! But here comes Bryan Keith! The Bad Apple gets in and saves Jericho, only for Cardona to fire hands on him! Jericho goes after Cardona, it’s 2v1!
The fans boo as The Learning Tree and his Branch beat down Cardona! Jericho brandishes the belt, and he LASHES Cardona with it! And LASHES him again! Jericho stands Cardona up and Keith wraps the Calgary Stampede belt around his fist, buckle out! BELT BUCKLE PUNCH!! The fans boo but Keith tells them to shut up! Jericho shows Cardona the ROH title belt, vowing it’ll never belong to him. But even after this beating, will Cardona still be ready for his Final Battle with The Nueve?
AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Daniel Garcia VS The Beast Mortos!
In parallel to Okada and Briscoe to open the night, the TNT Champion has one point but the menacing minotaur has none! Will Red Death make sure this win is definitive? Or will Mortos maul Garcia to make La Faccion Ingobernable proud?

The fans fire up as Garcia gets space, and he runs that full thirty feet, only for Mortos to CLOBBER him! Mortos puts Garcia in the ring, shoves him, and POP-UP SAMOAN DROPS! Mortos roars again while Rampage goes picture in picture.

And then a SOBAT, KNEE, and ELBOW! Snapmare, and NECK TWIST! Garcia still stands, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Garcia survives but Mortos huffs ‘n’ puffs. The fans rally up and Mortos goes to a corner. Mortos climbs!? Garcia runs up to CLUB him first! Garcia climbs and fires hands, then roars at Mortos! Garcia drags Mortos up to the very top! SUPER DUPER PLEX!! And a roll through to the cover, TWO!! Mortos just barely survives!
The fans fire up as Garcia drags Mortos up. The fans rally and Garcia runs, but into a scoop and SHOULDER BUSTER! Then DISCUS LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Garcia survives and the fans fire up again! Winner: Daniel Garcia, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Mortos earns 0)
Mortos is shocked, but Garcia finds a way to snatch this victory! Garcia stays even with Okada, will they both have to fight that much harder to break away in Blue League?
The Vendetta VS Ella Elizabeth & Freya States!
Taya Valkyrie & Deonna Purrazzo openly offer the AEW roster help with their problems, but were rejected by Anna Jay. Will La Wera Loca & The Virtuosa use The Scream Queen & Freya The Slaya as an example to why that’s a bad idea?
The teams sort out, Taya starts against Ella, and she THROWS Ella right down! Taya rains down fists on Ella, then stops to stare Freya down. Taya drags Ella up to whip her to the corner. Taya runs up to ELBOW Ella, CHOP her, then tag Deonna. Deonna stomps away on Ella, then stops as the ref counts. Taya CHOKES Ella, Deonna ROCKS her, then Deonna short arm LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Deonna holds onto the arm a little longer, then finally lets go when she’s satisfied. Deonna & Taya stand tall, who in AEW will join them? And who will make sure to avoid them at all costs?

This match was indeed #OuttaThisWorld, and Ricochet finally has points on the board! Will Ricochet be able to make up some lost ground and take over the Gold League?
My Thoughts:
A great Rampage as they had the Continental Classic happen here and give Rampage something important going on, but there was still filler. I know it was a squash match and all, but no respect for The Vendetta or their opponents with how they got no entrances or introductions. That and Vendetta buried Ella & Freya cuz Freya didn’t even get in the match officially, she just got beat up on the outside. I still expect The Vendetta to be the ones that beat up Kamille on behalf of Mercedes Mone, and I could even see a Six Woman Tag of Mone, Deonna & Taya VS Kamille, Kris & Anna Jay to set up something big for the TBS Championship.
The other filler would’ve been Jericho’s promo to bring out Matt Cardona. It was certainly AEW admitting not enough of their fans watch ROH so they had to make sure the AEW audience understood Jericho VS Cardona for the ROH World Championship was happening at Final Battle. Still a good segment overall, but for a completionist like myself, it was redundant since I already knew about this from ROH. And I like the match of Mina Shirakawa VS Emi Sakura for Collision. Mina will get one more win before losing on Dynamite so that’s fine.
And of course, the Continental Classic matches were all great, even awesome, but with results I knew we’d be getting. Okada, Garcia and Ricochet were of course all winning, as the Continental and TNT Champions needed to get up, and Ricochet needed to rebound if he’s to be in the running over in Gold League. But I believe as happened last year, there are some guys who don’t have their second matches until others are on their third, and I think Darby Allin fell into that category. Darby’s second match is tomorrow for Collision, and while he’s facing Komander who is also on his second match, we have to remember Komander is coming in for Juice so Juice/Komander is already into the third round. Though sadly, it already feels like Komander is taking that big goose egg for Gold League.
My Score: 8.8/10
