The Buy-In – #Hookhausen VS Tony Nese & Mark Sterling!
Two of AEW’s most popular young stars were once at odds, but the Premier Athlete made them both his enemies out of jealousy and spite. And so, the Cold-Hearted, Handsome Devil and the Very Nice, Very Evil overlord join forces! Will Nese & Sterling regret ever wanting them to #SendHook? And to a lesser degree, Danhausen?
The teams sort out and fans are fired up as Hook starts against Nese. They circle, Nese is not taking Hook seriously but Vegas is roaring for Hook. Nese flexes on Hook, but Hook tackles him! Nese scrambles and Sterling regroups with him! Sterling says the ref needs to get control of Hook, this is ridiculous! But Danhausen tags in? Hook allows it, Nese laughs at Danhausen because of how he put him away under 15 seconds. Nese lets Danhausen have the headlock while fans are fired up, and then Nese powers out to run Danhausen over! Fans boo but things speed up. Danhausen hurdles, but Nese fakes out the drop. Danhausen avoids the elbow drop!
Danhausen then dodges the corner splash! And Nese staggers, into a CURSE! Fans fire up but Nese feels no such curse. Danhausen hurries to a corner and BOOTS Nese, then goes up to FLYING RANA! Nese flounders, Sterling tries to get in, but Danhausen uses a CURSE! Sterling falls on his face! Sterling scrambles out of the ring to check his nose. But Nese CLOBBERS Danhausen! Nese rains down fists while the fans boo but Nese soaks it all in. Nese drags Danhausen up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Sterling in. Sterling stomps a mudhole into Danhausen but lets off to shimmy and shake. Sterling talks trash on Hook, but Hook just sticking a leg in scares him off.
Sterling tags Nese, Nese talks trash on Hook and kicks Danhausen. Nese whips Danhausen to a corner hard! Danhausen bounces off buckles and Nese flexes. Fans boo but Nese kicks Danhausen around. Nese has Danhausen in a corner, stomps him, then tags Sterling in. Fans rally for Danhausen but Sterling suplexes him up and over! Then he “runs” to drop a leg and miss! Tag to Nese, he DECKS Hook! Fans boo but Nese brings Danhausen up, Danhausen counters the haymaker into a spin and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Fans fire up while both men are down! Hook is back, too! Danhausen crawls, avoids Nese’s grip, hot tag to Hook!
Sterling runs away to leave Nese hanging! Hook throws Nese with an uchimada! Then a HARD corner clothesline, into a TAZ PLEX! Sterling tags in?! He defends it was just an encouraging pat on the back, but Hook TOSSES Sterling into the ring! Sterling writhes, but Nese rushes in to waistlock! Hook switches, Nese tries to turn things around but Hook gut wrenches for the EL CAMINO! Hook then catches Sterling for a TAZ PLEX! Fans fire up, Hook drags Sterling back up, and slashes the throat! But Danhausen wants in? Fans want it, too! Hook shrugs and tags Danhausen in! Danhausen fires up, to cover! HOOKHAUSEN WINS!

MJF VS Wardlow!
Try as he might, Maxwell Jacob Friedman could not keep the War Dog down under his thumb. And he couldn’t keep this match from happening, either! But can he find a way to keep Wardlow under contract and absolutely ruin the rest of his life? Or will Wardlow prove MJF isn’t better than anyone else so that the whole world knows it?
Wardlow is escorted from the holding cell and to the ring. Fans chant for “WARD~LOW,” and they tell MJF he F’d up big time! Fans erupt as soon as Wardlow walks out on stage and down the ramp. The cuffs are undone, the chanting echoes throughout the arena, and MJF bails out as soon as Wardlow steps in the ring. MJF wants Wardlow backed off so the ref has Wardlow step away. Fans want Wardlow to “F HIM UP!” in reference to MJF. MJF gets annoyed, but he gets in the ring. The bell rings, and MJF bails right back out. Fans boo but MJF just soaks up the heat. Wardlow stays cool as MJF paces around with the ring count.
MJF tells Wardlow to back off, and he does. Fans taunt MJF with, “HE SHOWED UP!” in reference to MJF apparently not doing his meet ‘n’ greets. Wardlow argues with the ref and MJF rushes in! MJF cheap shots Wardlow, but he doesn’t budge! Wardlow then reels MJF in! MJF scrambles away and fans boo. MJF tells Vegas to shut up, but then he says this is happening on his time. Wardlow goes out after MJF but MJF gets back in the ring to soak up the heat. MJF then dodges Wardlow again, except Wardlow drags him up to the apron! MJF shoulders in, slingshot sunsets, but he can’t bring Wardlow down!
Wardlow drags MJF up to reel him in! Bot MJF BITES Wardlow on the top of his head! MJF throws a forearm, then another, but Wardlow just flexes on him. So MJF pokes Wardlow in the eye! The ref reprimands but MJF doesn’t care. MJF headlocks, only for Wardlow to power up. MJF ducks and dodges, rolls under the boot, and waistlocks. Fans chant, “MJF, F U!” but Wardlow bucks the O’Conner. Things speed up, MJF drops then jumps, but Wardlow catches him! MJF hurries to RANA out of the bomb! Cover, TWO! MJF suddenly clutches his leg! Wardlow doesn’t trust that MJF’s leg is actually hurting, and neither do the fans.
The ref still has to be sure, and we all catch MJF digging the Dynamite Diamond Ring out of his trunks! MJF looks up and realizes he’s been caught. The ref takes the ring away and pats MJF on the shoulder! MJF realizes he’s dead and he begs for mercy! MJF says no one wants to see him get hurt, but fans chant, “YES WE DO!” MJF says he’ll double Wardlow’s pay! No, TRIPLE! Wait, wait, QUADRUPLE! Hmm… Wardlow shakes on it, but that’s to trick MJF. Wardlow won’t let MJF go, and he smiles. Wardlow kicks low, reels MJF in, and fans are thunderous! POWERBOMB!! Fans are loving this but we all want that “ONE MORE TIME!”
Wardlow conducts the crowd and obliges, he gets MJF up again! POWERBOMB!! But the symphony has only begun and Wardlow is feeling it! He gets MJF back up again, for a POWERBOMB!! That’s three, but we still need the quartet! Wardlow gets MJF up, for the POWERBOMB! Roll right back up, a FIFTH POWERBOMB!! Cover, Wardlow lets off?! Everyone is enjoying the karma being dealt out to MJF! Wardlow says here’s one more! Fans chant, “YES! YES! YES!” and POWERBOMB NUMBER SIX!! Well, is half a dozen enough? Fans are chanting “TEN! TEN! TEN!” Wardlow gets MJF up again and LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN here in Vegas!
Wardlow takes in a deep breath, this is cathartic! And y’know what? He agrees, let’s go to 10! Wardlow brings MJF up, POWERBOMB NUMBER EIGHT! NUMBER NINE!! The straps come down for NUMBER TEN!!! Cover, Wardlow wins!

FREEDOM! “WARD~LOW” has literally thrown MJF away and is now free to sign directly with AEW! As for MJF, medics get a neck brace, backboard and stretcher to get him out of here. Fans chant, “You Deserve It!” at MJF, has Wardlow not only rid himself but all of AEW of the Scourge of the Earth?
Tony Schiavone interviews Wardlow on the stage, and he reports that Tony Khan has made Wardlow ALL ELITE! Wardlow loves seeing the graphic, as do the fans! And they chant again, “You Deserve It!” in a positive light. Now that we have #AllEliteWardlow, will we also see Wardlow become a champion?
The Young Bucks VS The Hardy Boyz!
Two tag teams that defined their generations, two tag teams that redefined tag team wrestling, and perhaps the top two tag teams ever! Matt & Nick Jackson, Matt & Jeff Hardy, Elite VS Delete, but who gets to say Vivaaa~ Las Vegas?
Fans are fired up as the teams stare down. The teams sort out and Matt Hardy says “DELETE!” Matt Jackson says “ELITE!” “DELETE!” “ELITE!” They push each other, say their catchphrases, and then they tie up. Hardy wrenches, wristlocks, but Jackson rolls, kips up and breaks to dropkick! Fans fire up as Jackson soaks up the heat. Nick says that was too easy for his Matt. The Matts tie up again, Hardy wrenches but Jackson hammerlocks. Hardy reaches down to trip Jackson but Jackson kicks Hardy into the corner. Hardy comes back into a leg sweep, cover, ONE! Hardy sweeps now, cover, ONE!
Jackson gets in Hardy’s face and points to the imaginary watch, saying time’s up for the Hardys! Fans rally and duel, Hardy and Jackson tie up. Jackson gets around to waistlock but Hardy backs him into the corner. Hardy throws back elbows, then tag to Jeff! The Hardys double whip but Jackson avoids the double back elbows, and he power walks to tag in Nick. Nick and Jeff circle, fans rally up and the two tie up. Hardy headlocks but Nick powers out, only for Jeff to run him over! Jeff does his dance, but Nick kips up! Nick stares Jeff down, kicks low, then headlocks back. Jeff powers out, Nick runs him over, and does his own Jeff dance!
Fans boo, but Jeff trips Nick, then DECKS him! And CLOBBERS him! Nick bails out but Matt joins Jeff in mocking the Bucks Flex! Nick gets in, but he trips on the rope! Then the Hardys double clothesline Nick back out! Matt Jackson gets in but the Hardys are right on him. They double whip, double back elbow, then FIST DROP SENTON COMBO! Fans fire up for the Hardys while Nick & Matt regroup. Brandon Cutler is there while the Bucks talk strategy. Matt Hardy calls Nick out with “YOU SUCK!” Nick gets in but the fans start chanting for Cutler! Nick is pissed and he shoves Cutler for making this about him!
Fans boo and Nick gets in to SLAP Hardy! Tag to Matt and he shoulders into Matt. Jackson slingshots up and over but Hardy CLOBBERS him! Hardy kicks low, snap suplexes, then tags in Jeff. Nick runs in but the Hardys get him for a DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER onto Matt Jackson! The Hardys then double whip, set up, but Nick saves his brother from Poetry in Motion and GAMANGIRIS Jeff outta the air! Matt Hardy rushes Matt Jackson but gets a back elbow! Jackson goes up but Hardy CLUBS him on the back! Hardy brings Jackson out in a crucifix but Nick SUPERKICKS Hardy down! Fans are torn but the Bucks soak up all of it.
Nick drags Jeff up from the outside and puts him in. Jackson stomps Jeff while Nick tries to get fans to chant, “That was Awesome!” Fans do chant along, and Matt stomps Jeff more. Matt Jackson gets Jeff up, and he uses Jeff’s hands to tell Matt Hardy, “SUCK IT!” Jackson bumps Jeff off the buckle and Jeff falls back. Tag to Nick, SLINGSHOT SENTON FIST DROP COMBO! Nick taunts Matt with some shimmies, then he scrapes his soles off Jeff’s face. Fans fire up, Nick bumps Jeff off buckles and tags his Matt back in. The Bucks double whip, Jeff ducks to come back and DOUBLE LARIAT! Fans fire up again and Jeff crawls, but Cutler trips Matt Hardy up!
Fans boo Cutler now but Nick applauds and gives thumbs up. Nick stomps Jeff, drags him up, and whips him to the corner. Jeff reverses, Nick reverses back and ROCKS Jeff! Nick pie faces, goes up the corner, WHISPER IN THE WIND FLOPS as Jeff moves! Jeff goes up, steadies himself a moment, then shows Nick how to WHISPER IN THE WIND! Direct hit and both men are down! Fans fire up again and rally as they crawl for their corners. The standing count is climbing, hot tag to Matt Hardy! Hardy rallies on Nick, whips him to ropes, then DECKS him! Hardy gives Nick “DELETE!” buckle bumps over and over!
Matt Jackson rushes in but Hardy gets him for forearm after forearm! Then he gives Jackson “DELETE!” buckle bumps! Cutler gets up, HE gets “DELETE!” buckle bumps! Cutler flops to the floor, SIDE EFFECT for Nick! Cover, TWO!! Hardy shrugs that off, he wants the Twist! Hardy kicks low but Nick shoves him away, and Matt Jackson holds ropes to dump Hardy out! Nick then goes to the apron, PENALTY KICK! The Bucks dare Jeff to bring it, and Jeff flips them off! Nick shoulders in, then slingshots, FACEBUSTER! Handspring MOONSAULT, but Hardy dodges to CLOBBER Nick! Jackson WRECKS Hardy, skins the cat, but Jeff dropkicks him!
Jeff lines up a shot on the apron, but Nick SJUPERKICKS him down! Jeff still falls on both Matts! Fans fire up and Jackson gets the Hardys both up. Nick goes up a corner, fans fire up again, SUPER CANNONBALL onto the Hardys! Fans fire up and the Bucks get Matt Hardy back in. Nick grins as he looms over Hardy and rains down fists! Nick then snarls, but Hardy eggs him on! SHINING WIZARD! Tag to Matt Jackson, he drags Matt Hardy over and Nick climbs. RISKY BUSINESS! Cover, TWO! Jackson says okay, if the moonsault and splash won’t do it, how about this? Jackson slaps Hardy around, then reels him in.
Hardy fights to switch, Jackson switches back but Hardy backs Jackson into the corner. Nick runs in, Hardy moves so the SHINING WIZARD hits Matt Jackson! Nick realizes the booboo, but he hurries back to the apron. But Hardy dodges again, PENALTY KICK hits Cutler! Fans fire up, Nick realizes the second booboo, but he runs into a back drop! Jeff is back up, he LEAPS and CLOBBERS Nick! Hardy catches Jackson for an APRON SIDE EFFECT! Fans are thunderous as all four men are down! The Hardys regroup while the ring count starts. Matt Hardy gets Matt Jackson back in and Jeff goes to their corner.
Jeff tags in, the Hardys double whip Jackson, set up and somehow, someway, POETRY IN MOTION! Direct hit and Jeff drags himself to the outside. Jeff goes up, Matt sets up, but no Twist! Matt Jackson trips and CATAPULTS Matt Hardy into Jeff! Then Nick springboards to DOUBLE STOMP Matt Hardy across Matt Jackson’s knees! Matt Jackson gets up top with Jeff, but Jeff JAWBREAKERS! Matt Jackson falls, Jeff throws off his shirt! Fans fire up again, SWANTON FLOP! Matt Jackson hauls Jeff up, to STEAL the TWIST OF FATE! Nick STEALS the SWANTON BOMB!! Cover, TWO!?!? WHAT!?!?
Fans are thunderous again, “This is Awesome!” and they truly mean it here. The Bucks drag Jeff up and have his arms. B T E- NO! Jeff ducks and knees hit each other! DOUBLE JAWBREAKERS! But the Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK back! DOUBLE SUPERKICK for Matt Hardy, too! Fans are thunderous again and Matt Hardy tries to get his brother up. The Hardys slowly rise, but the Bucks SUPERKICK them over and over and over and over and over!! Fans fire up as the Bucks raise their hands! But the Hardys are getting back up? The Bucks tell them to stay down, Matt SPITS at Nick, Jeff flips off and SPITS at Matt!
DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Matt Hardy! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Jeff Hardy! Double covers, TWO!?!?! Vegas is electric while the Bucks are shocked! Cutler moves steel steps around for the Bucks, and they put it up on its side! Jeff probably remembers this from his match with Darby Allin not all that long ago. Matt Jackson SMACKS Jeff off them, then hauls him onto the steps. Matt climbs up with Jeff, Nick aims from the corner?! Fans are freaking out but Jeff fights Matt Jackson and Matt Hardy has Nick! Crucifix for the RAZOR’S EDGE!! Jeff SLAMS Matt Jackson on the steps and CLUBS him! Fans fire up as Matt Hardy fires down hands and Jeff climbs up!
Hardy DECKS Cutler to keep him away! Jeff aims at those steps, FULL METAL SWANTON!! TWIST OF FATE for Nick!! Cover, TWO!?! Nick survives and no one can believe it! Nick staggers around, into another TWIST OF- NO! Backslide counter, TWO!! SIDE EFFECT!! Then another TWIST OF FATE!! Jeff tags in and he goes up again! Fans are all standing for this one! SWANTON BOMB!! Cover, Hardys win!!

Jeff celebrates with the fans, then returns to celebrate with his brother! The Hardys are now, then and once again the best tag team, but will they be able to cement this legacy with some gold?
The Acclaimed Gunn Club have fun in Las Vegas!
Viva Las Vegas, the Acclaimed have arrived! And also the Gunn Club, don’t forget. Right, right, of course. ASS~ BOYS! Guys, c’mon. But hey, everyone’s jacked. They’ll document everything so Daddy can watch it back later. They’ll scissor everybody on that strip!
Billy Gunn returns later that day and finds them all passed out in their room. And the bathroom. The Ass Boys are disappointment but the Acclaimed are just hilariously adorable. Bowens is throwing up the scissors in his sleep? Billy tucks Caster in, quickly scissors Bowens, and hopes they sleep well.
AEW TBS Championship: Jade Cargill VS Anna Jay!
The inaugural TBS Champion is still undefeated at 31-0, and the Queenslayer is already among that number. But will Number 99’s second try be the one that gets it done? Or will the Star of the Show just be another guest star on #ThatBitchShow?
But speaking of shows, Vegas showgirls accompany Jade during her entrance. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and with the Baddies looking on, who proves they’re the baddest in AEW?
Fans rally up and the two tie up right away. Jade puts Jay in the corner, lets off, then knees her low. Jade whips corner to corner, run sin but Jay BOOTS her! Jay goes up, leaps, but Jade catches her! Jade scoops, Jay slips off and waistlocks but Jade bucks that. But Jay catches Jade for a sleeper! Jade back suplexes before the Queenslayer hold can lock in, but Jay turns for a CROSSBODY! Jay doesn’t cover, she runs and leaps, but Jade catches her! FALL AWAY SLAM! Jade kips up and fans fire up! Jade EuroUppers and kicks Jay, to then snap suplex! Jade kips up again, then CLOBBERS Jay!
Fans rally, Jade goes up the corner to the very top, and she AX HANDLES Jay down! Jade toys with Jay, then goes to another corner. Jade climbs again, Jay gets away to the far corner. Jade changes her mind, gets in and kicks Jay again. Jade uppercuts, lines up her shot, and dribbles in to back elbow! Jade then shoves Jay down, goes up the corner, but Jay trips Jade up! Jay ROCKS Jade, goes up and brings Jade up, SUPERPLEX! Fans fire up while both women are down, and the Baddies grow worried! Jade and Jay stir, fans rally up, and Jay drags herself up the ropes. Jay is in the corner, Jade runs in but into an elbow!
Jay BOOTS Jade, dodges Jade then HEEL KICKS! Jay runs but Jade rushes at her. Jay dodges to LARIAT but Jade stays up! Fans fire up, Jay runs in at the corner, but Jade puts her on the apron. Jade swings but misses, Jay HOOK KICKS! Jay pushes Jade, climbs up the corner, and leaps for a BLOCKBUSTER! Jade bails out to slow this down, but Jay pursues! Jade kicks low, but Jay shoves Jade into steps! Jade gets back in the ring, the ref is busy checking her, and the Baddies attack! But Jay kicks Kiera Hogan, then she kicks Red Velvet! Jay reels them in for DOUBLE DDTs to the floor! The Baddies are down, Jay fires up, and she gets in, but into a BOOT!
Jade drags Jay up, hooks her up, JADE- NO! Victory roll, TWO!! SUPERKICK!! Both women are down and fans fire up again! But wait! Here comes Mark Sterling! He’s still sore from losing to #Hookhausen, but he won’t let another of his clients down! Sterling complains to the ref, but he slides his crutch into the ring! Only for Jay to grab it first! Jay JAMS Jade, then uses it for the RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Crutch goes bye, Jay covers, TWO!! Jade survives Sterling’s mistake and he is freaking out! But here comes JOHN SILVER! The Meatman gets Sterling with a kick and BRAINBUSTER to the floor!!
Fans fire up as Silver evens things with Sterling, but Jade gets Jay with an EYE OF THE STORM! Cover, TWO!?! Jay survives but Jade drags her up! Chicken wings for the JAD- NO! Another victory roll, and Jay sweeps the legs! QUEENSLAYER CLUTCH!! The Baddies are freaking out, the fans are thunderous, and Jade fights up to her feet! Jay holds on tight but Jade RAMS her into buckles! Jade is free, runs in, but Jay dodges! Jade hits buckles, fans fire up and duel, and Jay climbs! Jade hurries to spin Jay around on the ropes! Jade goes up after Jay, they throw elbows at each other, and now MALCOLM BIVENS/STOKELY HATHAWAY appears?!
Fans are going nuts but Jay can’t believe how many people Jade has on her side! Jay and Jade keep throwing elbows, and Jade gets those chicken wings! SUPER JADED!!! Cover, Jade wins!!

What a stacked deck! Hathaway gets in to celebrate with The Baddies, Jade is 32-0!! But they set Jay up to teach her a lesson! Wait, here comes KRIS STATLANDER! Fans fire up as Kris stares all the Baddies down! Especially Red Velvet. And that’s not all! Here comes ATHENA!!! Formerly Ember Moon, the now #FallenGoddess is now in AEW! She stands alongside Jay and Kris against The Baddies and fans are going nuts all over again! Hathaway advises the Baddies to let this go for now, but somewhere, someway, this is going down! Who will be the one to finally give Jade Cargill that first loss?
Six Man Tag: The House of Black VS Death Triangle!
Malakai Black has slowly but surely spread his influence in AEW, and has brought in Brody King and Buddy Matthews to reinforce their message. But PAC, Penta Oscuro & Rey Fenix are standing up to their intimidation because they have #CeroMiedo! Will the fearless trio take control of the darkness? Or will the House always win when it’s Double or Nothing?
The House of Black has war paint, but Death Triangle comes prepared! Pac has his own hybrid mask, and Lil’ Penta sees the team off with Alex Abrahantes. The trios are tense but they still sort out, and it’s Fenix to start against Malakai himself. Fans chant for “CERO! MIEDO!” as Fenix and Malakai circle. They tie up, and Malakai wrenches. Fenix wrenches, Malakai wrenches, but Fenix wrenches back. Malakai wrenches again but Fenix breaks free. They knuckle lock, Malakai kicks low and whips Fenix, but Fenix handsprings against ropes! Fenix swings a haymaker but Malakai ducks to waistlock and GERMAN SUPLEX! But Fenix lands on his feet!

Schiavone formally introduces the winners, Britt and Cole, and then says that 18 months after the tragic passing of Owen Hart, his wife, Dr. Martha Hart, created the Owen Hart Foundation. Martha is here tonight to honor Owen and tonight’s winners. Vegas welcomes Martha as she makes her way out with Tony Khan. She goes to the podium as fans chant for Owen.
Martha says thank you for that warm welcome, but then fans respond with, “Thank You, Martha!” Martha thanks the fans again, it is so amazing to be here in Las Vegas and the T-Mobile Arena. It is with great anticipation that we meet this moment in history where the amazing contributions of Owen Hart, one of the most incredible artisans of wrestling, are celebrated in the squared circle. “It is with deep, heartfelt sincerity that I thank Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, the producers of Dark Side of the Ring, the entire AEW crew who are incredible, Pro-Wrestling Tees, our legal teams, my sister, Virginia,” her children, OHJ & Athena, and of course the foundation committee.
But most of all, Martha thanks the fans for making this event possible. “It goes without saying that our partnership is a match made in heaven.” This tournament was truly fit for a queen and king, for Owen was the King of Harts, so this had to be a great tournament. This has to end in the ring, but Kingston fishhooks Jericho first! Bryan and Parker have ended up ringside already, Moxley brings Menard along, Kingston keeps Jericho from running away to the upper level! Moxley sends Menard into seats! Parker and Bryan brawl around the back, Santana SMACKS Garcia with a chair!
Moxley helps Kingston with Jericho, but then Menard attacks Moxley! Also, Wild Thing hasn’t stopped playing at all. Santana DECKS Garcia, Moxley snap suplexes Menard! Moxley JABS Jericho back. Parker and Menard are on tables, then PNP bring in a ladder! The ladder is set up between the tables, PNP start to climb! Moxley KNEES Jericho out of a chair! Moxley brings out a BARBED WIRE PANEL! Hager has an ANKLE LOCK, but Bryan fights it with one of his own! PNP are at the top of the ladder, for SYNCHRONIZED SPLASHES through the tables!! Fans lose their minds over that one! Jericho BLASTS Moxley with a fire extinguisher! The ref checks on Moxley while Hager and Bryan get themselves back up in the ring. Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus won these titles in a Triple Threat, but will they lose them in one? Or can they somehow find a way to stop Ricky Starks, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, as well as #SwerveInGlory?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if this gamble pays off in Las Vegas!
Team Taz snatches at the belts but JB shoves Starks. The belts are put aside, all the teams jaw at each other, and then Team Taz attacks them all! Starks brawls with Swerve, Hobbs is after Luchasaurus, but Keith gets Hobbs! JB and Luchasaurus meet at the corner to STEREO MOONSAULT everyone else down! Jurassic Express coordinate, ELBOW DROP SIDEWALK SLAM on Starks! Cover, TWO! Luchasaurus scoops, Starks slips out, staggers, Swerve tags himself in off Luchasaurus! Starks rushes in but Swerve rolls and EDDY GORDO RANAS! Starks knees low, tags Hobbs, but Swerve gets away.
Swerve and Hobbs circle, Swerve tries a takedown but Hobbs stays up. Hobbs shoves Swerves away to CLOBBER Swerve! Fans fire up, Hobbs hauls Swerve up but Swerve wrenches. Hobbs shoves Swerve away but Keith tags in! Swerve and Keith pinball Hobbs, then Keith fireman’s carries to toss into the ROLLING ELBOW ENZIGURI COMBO! Tag back to Swerve and he BOOTS Starks! Keith SPLASHES Hobbs, Swerve back elbows, Keith SPLASHES again! Feed to a JUMP KICK! Swerve trips to jackknife, JB gets in to break it. Fans sing “OH~ Bask in His Glory!” Swerve talks trash on JB but Hobbs picks him up!
Swerve shoves Hobbs away, JB tags in! Things speed up, JB hurdles then RANAS! Then JB DIVES on Swerve and send shim into railing! JB keeps moving, another DIVE! And then JB FLIES, but Keith catches him! Swerve BOOTS Luchasaurus, Keith POWERBOMBS JB onto Luchasaurus! And again! Keith brings JB up to put in the ring and Swerve gets in, but Hobbs tags off him! Hobbs tells Swerve to get to his corner, then Hobbs stalks JB. Hobbs brings JB up, suplexes, and stalls! SLAM, and fans fire up. JB gets up to CHOP, and CHOP, but Hobbs knees low! Hobbs wrenches, DECKS JB, then tags Starks.
Starks stomps JB, drags JB up, then brings him around to whip. Tilt-o-whirl BACKBREAKER! Starks strikes his pose and fans fire up! Starks taunts Keith & Swerve while he gets JB up and brings him around. Starks whips JB to the open corner but JB BOOTS him! JB runs in, Starks spins, knuckle locks, CHOPS, and he goes up to tightrope walk. Starks shows off, but JB trips him up! That was absolutely not what Starks wanted. Hobbs tags in while Keith & Swerve laugh at Starks. Hobbs has JB’s leg but JB ENZIGURIS! But Luchasaurus is still down! JB dodges Hobbs, Swerve tags in and fires forearms!
Swerve runs, ROCKS Hobbs, then goes again. Swerve dodges, and CLOBBERS Hobbs! Fans fire up and Swerve runs in to uppercut at the corner! Swerve kicks a leg out, goes up, FALLING UPERCUT! Luchasaurus is back but Swerve trips and BOOTS him down! Starks returns but Swerve TOSSES him onto Jurassic Express! Starks lands hard and Keith says, “OH~ MY GOD~!” Then Keith gives Swerve a hand in going up, up and MOONSAULTS onto the group! Fans fire up, Swerve shoulders into Hobbs and then he slingshots in to somersault, but Hobbs grabs him for a lift! Swerve sunset flips, Hobbs brings Swerve up again to pop-up, but Swerve RANAS! CALF KICK!
Swerve pushes Hobbs to a cover, TWO! Keith gets in and he pops Hobbs right up! Swerve goes up, but Hobbs fights this combo move off! Hobbs gets to the top rope, has Swerve, SUPERPLEX! Luchasaurus is back, though, and he tags in off Swerve! Starks gets in, but gets run over! Luchasaurus BOOTS Keith, clamps onto Hobbs and fires off hands in the corner! Swerve runs in but get a FLAPJACK, and a clothesline! Starks runs in but Luchasaurus catches him to RAM into Hobbs! Back body block for Swerve, Team Taz dodges but Luchasaurus DOUBLE LARIATS! Fans fire up and Luchasaurus choke grips Hobbs!
Hobbs pries free but Luchasaurus BOOTS him! Keith tags in and fans want to see this! We have three certified titans in here! Hobbs swings on Luchasaurus but Luchasaurus blocks! Keith talks smack but gets smacked for it! Luchasaurus handsprings, TAIL WHIP for Keith, ROUNDHOUSE for Hobbs! Choke grips for them both?! But they choke grip him back! DOUBLE CHOKE SLAM!! Keith and Hobbs circle now and fans fire up again. The hands start flying, Hobbs runs but Keith catches him to TOSS him out of the ring! Keith then decides to build speed!! Keith FLIES!! Direct hit on Jurassic Express and Hobbs!!
Keith puts Luchasaurus in while fans are thunderous! Keith looms over Luchasaurus, fans sing for him again, but Luchasaurus sits up to choke grip! Keith breaks free, back elbows, but Luchasaurus HEADBUTTS! Luchasaurus fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, ONE!! Luchasaurus and Keith get back up, and they stare down. The hands start flying again! Keith gets the edge, but then DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Hobbs is up top!? For a DOUBLE BLOCKBUSTER!!! Fans are thunderous again as everyone is down! JB and Starks are back, they tag in off Keith and Luchasaurus. JB kicks, whips, but Starks reverses. JB kicks, TORNADO-
NO! Starks trips JB, stacks with feet on the ropes! But Christian stops that! Hobbs YANKS Christian down and RAMS him into steps! JB dodges Starks to DIVE onto Hobbs and fire off hands! JB checks on Christian but he says to get in. Starks SPEARS JB! Cover, TWO!?!? Starks is furious and fans can’t believe it! Swerve gets in, Starks shoves him back out. Starks gets JB up, underhooks, rebound off ropes for the ROSHAMBEAUX!!! Cover, Luchasaurus breaks it!! Starks kicks Luchasaurus but Luchasaurus BOOTS him down! Swerve tags in off Starks, Luchasaurus turns around into Hobbs’ SPINEBUSTER!
Swerve runs in, Hobbs pops him up but gets STOMPS! Fans fire up and Swerve drags JB up and in. Half nelson, but JB switches. Luchasaurus runs in but Swerve gets away, the BOOT hits JB!! Keith POUNCES Luchasaurus! Swerve gets JB up for Keith to pop-up! Swerve is up top, SWERVE IN GLORY!! Cover, HOBBS BREAKS IT!! Hobbs fires off haymakers, Keith GRIZZLY MAGNUMS! Keith keeps on Hobbs at the ropes, Starks uses the FTW belt to CLOBBER Keith!!! Fans boo but Hobbs runs at Swerve, only to get POST! Swerve gets JB up, JB SUPERKICKS! Starks returns, he has the belt again! But Christian trips Starks up again!
Swerve rolls JB up, TWO!!! JB rushes in but Swerve fakes him out, kicks a leg and BUZZSAWS! Swerve is up top, but JB avoids the stomps! JB goes up, hops back, fires down fists, but no Poison-Rana! Luchasaurus helps JB, THORASSIC EXPRESS!!! Cover, JURASSIC EXPRESS WINS!

The numbers weren’t in their favor, and yet they still come out on top! Though, Captain Charisma was a bit of a third man in this match. But after coming away with this huge victory, will Jurassic Express be all but unstoppable?
AEW World Championship: Hangman Page VS CM Punk!
This is the moment of truth! The Cowboy revealed that he has lost his respect for The Best in the World, because to Hangman, CM Punk doesn’t respect this title! Hangman wants to expose and destroy Punk, but Punk says this isn’t personal, it’s just business. Will Hangman do what’s best for business and deny Punk this title? Or will there be no more #CowboySh*t when it’s #ClobberingTime?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and it is time to see just who is The Best in the World!
Fans are dueling but the Punk fans are louder. Hangman and Page stare down, then slowly approach. They get forehead to forehead and fans fire up. Punk shoves Hangman but Hangman comes back to shove Punk. They tie up, Punk puts Hangman on ropes and really crowds him as fans duel. The ref counts, Punk lets off, and they tie up again. Hangman puts Punk in a corner, grinds his forearms in Punk’s face, but lets off as the ref counts. They go again, Hangman pushes Punk but Punk turns it around to CHOP! Hangman just grins. Hangman CHOPS, Punk CHOPS, Hangman CHOPS, Punk headlocks!
Punk puts Hangman in a corner, the ref calls for the break but Punk scuffs Hangman with a forearm. Hangman scowls but shrugs that off. Fans duel hard as ever as the two circle again. They tie up, are in a deadlock now, but Punk headlocks. Hangman powers out, Punk rams shoulders but Hangman ROCKS him with a right! Hangman headlocks, Punk powers out but Hangman rams shoulders. Punk forearms, CHOSP but Hangman CHOPS! We’re back to a CHOP fight, Punk sends Hangman stinging. Punk stomps Hangman in the leg, then whips him to ropes to CLOBBER him with an elbow! Hangman sits up but Punk snapmares and covers, ONE!
Punk clamps onto an arm and fans duel as Hangman endures. Hangman gets up and backs Punk to a corner. Hangman elbows and ROCKS Punk out of the break! Hangman stomps a mudhole into Punk and fans are torn. Hangman snarls as he comes back for Punk and CHOPS him. And CHOPS again! And CHOPS again! Punk CHOPS back, CHOPS again, then turns Hangman around to CHOP him on the back! Punk whips corner to corner hard, and Hangman bounces off buckles. Punk whips Hangman to ropes, body shots and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS! Cover, ONE! Fans still duel but Punk’s side is still stronger.
Punks talks Hangman to ropes, brings him up, and scoops to SLAM! Hangman gets up as the “COWBOY SH*T!” is getting louder. Punk scoop SLAMS again, and now fans boo! Punk takes it in stride as he gets Hangman up to scoop and SLAM again. Punk then goes to a corner and climbs up top. Hangman stands, Punk leaps, CROSSBODY, but Hangman rolls through! Hangman brings Punk up to FALL AWAY SLAM! And a kip up! Fans fire up but there are still those who boo him, too. Punk is on the apron, Hangman TRIANGLE JUMP LARIATS! Punk goes down, Hangman PLANCHAS to take him down!
Fans fire up, some taunt Hangman, but Hangman paces. Fans rally and duel, things starting to even out. Hangman brings Punk up and RAMS him into railing! Hangman refreshes the count, and digs Punk’s head into the steel steps! Hangman lets off, the ring count is 3 of 10 but Hangman puts Punk in at 4. Hangman is on the apron and he soaks up the cheers and jeers. Hangman gets in, drags Punk up and ROCKS him with a forearm. Punk forearms, Hangman forearms, Punk gets the edge but runs into a ROLLING ELBOW! Fans fire up, but Hangman doesn’t cover. Hangman wants fans to get louder, both the positive and the negative.
Punk gets to a corner, Hangman is right on him. Hangman CHOPS, then brings Punk up to wrench and whip corner to corner! Punk hits chest first, fans duel, “F U HANGMAN!” “COWBOY SH*T!” Hangman drags Punk up, whips him corner to corner but Punk reverses, only for Hangman to CLOBBER him! Hangman goes to the apron, takes aim, and fans fire up! Hangman wants it all to get louder so the fans do get louder. Punk rises, Hangman aims, but Punk BLASTS him! Punk knew Hangman’s moveset too well for that to work. Hangman flounders but Punk goes out after him. Punk runs in, into a pop-up APRON BOMB!
Fans duel again and Hangman goes up the corner. Punk gets in before the moonsault so Hangman FLYING LARIATS! Hangman tosses Punk back out, and he still wants to go up top! Punk CLUBS Hangman and keeps him down! Punk then climbs up after Hangman, but Hangman slips down. Punk drags him back up, to SUPERPLEX! Fans fire up and a standing count begins. The count is 5 of 10 before either guy gets up. Hangman uses ropes to stand at 6, Punk ROCKS him. Hangman ROCKS Punk back, so Punk fires off more forearms! SOBAT, KICK and a whip, to CALF KICK! Hangman gets to a corner, Punk runs in and SHINING WIZARDS!
Punk headlocks to BULLDOG! Punk then goes to the apron while Hangman is dazed in the ring. Hangman slowly gets up as Punk takes aim. Springboard FLYING LARIAT! Punk fires up and fans are torn again, but Punk steps through, but Hangman throws hands! Punk staggers away, but he fireman’s carries! Hangman slips off, Punk slips around to NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Punk keeps his focus and fans rally back up as he climbs. But Hangman ROCKS him first! Punk tumbles to the floor! Hangman hurries out and goes up the corner again, to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Direct hit but Hangman hobbles back after Punk.
Hangman puts Punk in, fans rally up for the “COWBOY SH*T!” as he aims. Punk slowly gets up, Hangman slingshots, BUCK- NO! Takedown and step through, SHARPSHOOTER!! Fans are even more torn over this! Hangman endures as Punk sits deep! Hangman reaches out, crawls forward, ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, reprimands Punk, and Punk lets go. Fans rally, Hangman clutches his leg, and Punk slingshots, but his leg doesn’t hold up! Hangman fireman’s carries! But Punk slips off to trip Hangman! Hangman kicks Punk with his free leg! Punk flops back to the apron and fans rally up again.
Hangman hobbles over, Punk ROUNDHOUSES him away! Punk aims, slingshots, but the legs still don’t hold up! Punk still manages to PUNK SHOT! Cover, TWO! Hangman won’t go down to Punk’s bootleg Buckshot! Punk then calls for his move, by saying night night to Hangman. Punk hobbles over, fireman’s carries, but Hangman slips off and spins Punk around! Fireman’s carry, Punk fights it! Hangman goes to a corner again, Punk runs in, SHINING- NO! Punk got caught! LAST RIDE!! Jackknife roll through to the Alabama Lift! DEADEYE!! But the leg slows Hangman’s cover, TWO!?!? Punk survives and no one can believe it!
Hangman grits his teeth and hobbles back over. Fans get loud as Hangman says night night to Punk! Hangman drags Punk up, fireman’s carries, but Punk flails to get the ropes! Hangman pulls, tosses Punk, but Punk ROUNDHOUSES! But Hangman still fireman’s carries!? GO TO SLEEP!!! Cover, TWO!??! Now no one can believe this! Fans rally and duel hard as ever while Hangman and Punk stir. Punk checks his chin, but Hangman gets in his face. Hangman throws a forearm, but Punk gives a haymaker back. Hangman haymakers, Punk forearms! Hangman stands Punk up to ROCK him with an elbow! Punk KICKS the bad leg!
Punk staggers, KICKS the leg again, then throws big forearms! Hangman hits back, they go back and forth and fans rally. Punk gets the edge again, runs, but into a BOOT! Hangman winces from the pain in his leg but fans rally up. Hangman manages to run, but into Punk’s BOOT! Punk runs, but Hangman clotheslines them both out of the ring! Hangman hurries to get Punk up, and TOSSES him over the timekeeper’s table! Hangman picks up the belt to say it is his, and Punk will never have it! Fans duel, the ref takes the belt back, and Hangman puts Punk in the ring. Hangman aims, tunes up the band, and fans rally up with him.
Punk stands, Hangman slingshots, BUCK- Fireman’s carry! Punk swings Hangman around, the ref gets hit with the boots! Hangman slips off and LARIATS Punk down!! But then Hangman realizes what happened to the ref. Hangman checks on the ref, but then he thinks as he looks at Punk and the world title belt… Fans boo, they don’t want Hangman to do this! Hangman hobbles over to get the belt. Hangman glares at Punk, and he wants Punk to get up! Punk does sit up, and he wants Hangman to show mercy! Hangman looks at the belt, then at Punk. Hangman throws the belt down, fans fire up for their Cowboy!
Slingshot, into a spin and fireman’s carry! GO TO SLEEP!!! Cover, Punk wins!!!
Winner: CM Punk, by pinfall (NEW AEW World Champion)
Hangman did it the right way, but that cost him the title! Punk is a champion in wrestling again after what feels like forever! And if this is how hard he fought to get this belt, how hard will he fight to keep it? How hard will Hangman have to fight to get this belt back?
My Thoughts:
What a night for AEW right here. Was this perhaps the biggest, longest Double or Nothing yet? It sure felt like there was more to it than before. And I can’t really complain about too much, a lot of this was great stuff. Well, okay, there are things I can bring up. There seemed to be technical and production aspects that weren’t the best, but just minor annoyances. And that I just knew Cole & Britt would both win the tournaments. And in the case of the Anarchy in the Arena match, that was exactly the chaos I expected where we couldn’t really appreciate everything going on, but we got to see everything that mattered in the end. I see now that they saved the dysfunction between Bryan and Kingston for this very moment, and that is why JAS won.
Jade Cargill is great in the ring and on the mic, but boy she sure ends up protected. But at least it’s as a Heel, Heels would want ways to ensure their victory. Bivens/Hathaway apparently swooping in to take Jade away from Sterling is a wild move, but Bivens is such a great talker, he’ll fit right in with The Baddies. The dysfunction between SamTay and Kaz was played up about as I expected, but I was surprised Kaz and Sammy lost. But I suppose it’s the best way for everyone to move on from this. Maybe Kaz and Sammy feud as they’ll blame each other for the loss. And I love that Dante Martin wants next. He’ll give Scorpio one hell of a match, but I would think Scorpion wins.
The main event was great stuff but in trying to figure out the crowd reaction, even commentary thought fans didn’t like the “preening” and needing to play things up both guys were doing. AEW being different from WWE, you go in expecting almost nonstop action and the character stuff is in the selling and facial reactions, not having to look to fans for the energy. A Heel like MJF can taunt a crowd to get them to boo more, but when Hangman was ready to slingshot, he should’ve just stayed focused on Punk. And while Hangman going Heel here would’ve been pretty wild, I do like how they kept him Face and now he’s a former champion.
I had a feeling his next chapter would be about finding his way back, and hopefully they can iron out the wrinkles with how this first reign went. And as for Punk, this win opens up a floodgate of matches he could have for the rest of this year and maybe beyond. And if AEW can manage it, we might see Punk VS Omega before we see Omega VS Hangman and/or Punk VS Hangman II.

Andrade no longer does that. He stalks Angelico to the ropes, CHOPS him, then stalks him again. Andrade brings Angelico around to snap suplex! But that’s just Uno Amigo! Andrade drags Angelico up again, but Angelico slips around!
Angelico ducks the elbow, Andrade jumps the sweep, but the EDDY GORDO KICK hits! Roll up, ONE!! Angelico blocks a shot, wrenches, and traps both arms to then double wrench! Kris couldn’t be easier to find, or to get a title shot out of, because she believes in fighting and defending this title, for everyone who came before, and everyone who will hold it after. So Kris hopes Thekla’s win will keep her going until next they meet. Because if Thekla thinks she’s toxic, Kris thinks she likes the taste. Kris licks her fingers then spits it out. Well then, Dax Harwood, one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, what do you hate about the fans? The fans chant, “We Have Hair! We Have Hair!” Dax says he hates most is the fact they live in a fantasy world. They think this is Toy Story or something! Every time they see something new and shiny, they think it’s the greatest of all time. Dax has no issue personally with Doyle & Davis. The issue is what surrounds them.
All the fans boost their egos up! They build the egos up! They make Davis & Doyle think they’re something! Someone said these two men look great on an 8-by-10, make ’em a tag team. And after one match and one match only, they get the chance to step into the ring with the greatest tag team for the richest prize in tag team wrestling today. This is a division Dax built! The division that FTR built with their hands, all the way up, and D&D get a shot after one match!? Not gonna happen! The fans boo, but Dax asks if they think coming from the slums of North Carolina that FTR never saw guys like them? They were the norm!
FTR walked around guys like D&D every day, they fought guys like D&D every day. So now, D&D have the luxury of calling their shot, of telling FTR when and where they want that shot. Just know that Dax doesn’t care what they’ve done in the past or will do in the future. Because in the present, they’re in the presence of the greatest team of all time! The fans boo more, but Dax just ignores it. Because just like all these people, D&D live their lives BEGGING to be FTR! Roddy shouts, “CLAUDIO! I told you I wasn’t done with you and the Death Riders. And now I’ll break your back and take your title.” Cassidy says, “That’s right.” He offers a high-five, but Roddy says no. “This isn’t a me and you thing, this is a me thing.” But wasn’t Cassidy there to support Roddy in Mexico? Roddy’s got that title match, he should hang around. But hey, first and foremost, Mark makes a declaration. He wants to bring forth a vengeful manifestation full of pain and retaliation! That is to say, he is talking to EL CLON! Briscoe puts blame on Clon for why Mark’s main man, Hologram, is out. Clon ain’t nothing but a science experiment gone wrong! Mark saw Clon and Komander have one hell of a match in Texas, and Clon was victorious.
So like Mark said, he ain’t ducking or dodging. El Clon, what you say? Showdown in Texas for the TNT Championship, next week on Collision! And then they can conglomerate like always. Like the old saying, when you down to conglomerate, you’re happy to share your plate. Whether you speak English or Espanol, you spread the butter and pass the roll. Cassidy says that’s a classic. Roddy has no idea what that means. Roddy leaves, Mark follows, and Cassidy asks if Lexy knows that saying. She does not. But is the Sussex County Chicken underestimating how dangerous the corrupted copy can be? Or will Mark still be the Face of TNT?

Megan reels Viva in, fireman’s carries, then she scoops Kamela! “BOW DOWN!” FALL AWAY SAMOAN DROP COMBO! The fans fire up again and Megan TOSSES Viva back out. Then she drags Kamela up, and Ford wants in!

Lexy brings up that on Dynamite, we saw the return of Kenny Omega, a Founding Father and EVP of AEW, and- Swerve asks, “Say what?” Well, Omega is facing Josh Alexander next Wednesday on Dynamite. What are Swerve’s plans to get back in the title hunt? Swerve says that’s simple, because it is the same as always: win. Then speaking of that, someone requested this time with Swerve, and that is Kevin Knight. The Jet steps in and says Swerve is just the man he wanted to see. Knight thought a lot on what Swerve said last Dynamite, and Knight can’t get over how Swerve said the word, “Future.”
It triggered Knight a little, can’t lie. Because whenever Knight steps into the AEW ring, all The Jet keeps hearing is how he is the future, when he’s really the here and now. Ever since he took out Darby Allin, since he beat Kazuchika Okada, Jet knows that maybe it is time he start using the word “present” to let the people know that the future IS now. Swerve says if he didn’t know any better, these sound like fighting words. Now, before this can be a thing, how about Knight go win something of value. Doesn’t he have that World Trios title match tonight? Go do that, then they can talk. But what Swerve said, he meant it then, he means it now, Knight IS the future.
And that’s not just here in AEW, but of this business. In fact, Swerve sees Knight as a future main eventer, as well. Just don’t take another five to six years to get there. The Realest laughs and heads out, will this be motivation enough for Knight to win against The Opps?

AEW National Championship #1 Contender’s Match: “Jungle” Jack Perry VS Anthony Bowens!
Ricochet tells Jack to stop looking at him, but then he has to tell Bowens the same. The bell rings and the fans cheer as Jack and Bowens shake hands. They circle, tie up, and Bowens powers Jack to a corner. The ref counts, Bowens backs off at 4, and Bowens throws up the scissors. The fans cheer, Jack and Bowens reset, and they circle again. They tie up, Jack headlocks, but Bowens powers out the back. Bowens headlocks, but Jack arm-drags free. Jack steps to Bowens and the fans cheer. Bowens says okay, and the two reset. They circle, tie up, and Bowens headlocks. Bowens spins Jack to snapmare, then he has the Oklahoma ROll, TWO!
Bowens taunts Jack with the scissor fingers, then “SUCK IT!” The fans cheer and Jack is taken aback. The two rest, Jack lets the hair down, and they tie up. Jack headlocks, Bowens wrenches to headlock, but Jack powers out. Bowens RUNS Jack over while Ricochet keeps putting himself over, and things speed up. Jack hurdles, Bowens stops the hip toss, but then Jack handsprings through a hip toss! Jack slips around to waistlock, Bowens bucks the O’Conner, but Jack trips Bowens to cover. ONE and Bowens sweeps to cover, ONE! The fans cheer but Ricochet boos the standoff, and Jack offers a scissor finger? The fans cheer that!
Bowens says okay, and they scissor finger! Then Jack BITES the fingers?! The fans are torn, the ref reprimands, but Jack CHOPS! And CHOPS! Jack knuckle locks to go up, up, but Bowens yanks him down! Jack lands bad on his banana! But Bowens makes it worse by shaking the ropes! The fans fire up, then Bowens scissors the fingers before he CHOPS! Jack flops to the floor, Bowens tells Ricochet that he’s coming for the title! Ricochet says focus on the match. Bowens goes out to whip Jack, but Jack stops short. Jack ELBOWS Bowens, goes up, but Bowens Electric Chair Lifts! And he SLAMS Jack on the apron!
Bowens fires up, the fans are with him, and Ricochet says that’s the one good thing he’s seen Bowens do. Bowens puts Jack in the ring, but Jack returns to slide, wheelbarrow, and BULLDOG on the floor! Double-edged for Jack there, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Jack waves to the ref, and perhaps to Doc Sampson, saying his hip or tailbone is bothering him now. Doc checks Jack’s back, and it seems whatever it was pops back into place. Jack then hobbles after Bowens to CHOP! Bowens takes a seat, Jack CHOPS again! Jack sits with Bowens for a photo op, then he brings Bowens up. Bowens puts Jack in the seat to CHOP! And ROCK! And then Bowens climbs up to rain down fists! Bowens then says “SUCK IT!” before he puts Jack back in the ring. Bowens takes his time stepping in, and he stomps Jack around. Jack body blows in return, and that was a good one as Bowens has to back off.
Bowens BOOTS Jack, but Jack CHOPS! Bowens staggers away again, and Jack fires up. Jack eggs Bowens on, Bowens storms up and CHOPS! Jack CHOPS, Bowens goes to a corner, and Collision goes to break.
Maximum Carnage returns and Jack dodges a lariat to JUMP DDT! Cover, TWO! Bowens stays in this, but Jack fires up! Ricochet says Jack is Scraff the Squirrel from Ice Age, just keeps finding ways to survive and come back. Jack aims from a corner, time for a sacrifice! GLASS- NO, Bowens dodges! Then he blocks a kick, spins Jack, and Rock, Paper, Scissors SUPERKICK! Jack falls, Bowens fires up, and the fans are with him! Bowens goes corner to corner, he blocks a boot, and he puts Jack in the ropes! ENZIGIRI and SIDEWINDER! Cover, TWO! Jack survives, to Ricochet’s point, and Ricochet is getting mad.
Bowens huffs ‘n’ puffs, the fans duel, and Bowens stands Jack up. ARRIV- NO, Jack arm-drags free, then SUPERKICKS! Jack runs, but Bowens catches him to THE ARRIVAL! Cover, TWO!! Jack survives, but Bowens runs to SHINING WIZARD! Cover, TWO!! Jack survives again and Bowens is beside himself! The fans rally up while Bowens pounds the mat. Bowens drags Jack up, slips around, torture rack and- NO, Jack rolls him up, TWO!! Bowens escapes in time, but Jack goes to backslide! Bowens flips that around, then rolls to a cradle, TWO!! Both men stand, Jack SUPERKICKS! But Bowens LARIATS!
The fans fire up and Bowens feeds off the energy! Bowens winds up, runs, but Jack goes the other way! JUMP KNEE! Jack reloads, GLASS BREAKER KNEE!! Cover, Jack wins!

Ricochet survived going to CMLL, but will- JACK ATTACKS! The fans fire up as Jack HAMMERS away on Ricochet, then chases him to the back! Will Jack hunt Ricochet all the way to their title rematch? Can the One & Only survive what’s coming for him?
Death Riders speak.
Jon Moxley says, “We’ve given the Don Callis ‘Family’ a lot of space. Live and let live. Businessmen doing business things. This match you lit tonight… That’s something different entirely.” Pac says, “Who the F*** do you think you are, hm?! Have you forgotten who we are? Have you forgotten what we do?” Daniel Garcia asks the DCF, “Do you guys realize what you guys have done? You guys have crossed the line that there is no coming back from. You guys think that you’re a family because you buy each other nice dinners and nice clothes? That is not a family, you don’t know what a family is! You know what a family is?
“A family is when the whole world hates you,” as Garcia points to Yuta, “and you’ve still got your man’s back! A family is when nobody believes in you,” as he points to Marina, “you still step up to the plate and keep swinging. A family is when you’re at the lowest point in your career,” as he points to himself, “people come knocking at your door and offer you a better life. That’s what a family is, and you don’t know nothing about that.” Moxley steps back up to tell, “Mr. Callis… I’ve been in this game 22 years. I’ve seen every type of snake and carny and slime. The lowest of the low. I’ve seen ’em all in this business. So yeah, I know you. I know exactly who you are.

Claudio does a quick Catholic cross for DCF, and BREAKING NEWS! It will be a Six Man STREET FIGHT! Moxley, Yuta & Garcia VS Hechicero, Rocky Romero & Lance Arhcer! Will not even Callis’ soul (if he still has one) be spared now that this is war?
AEW World Trios Championships: The Opps VS Hangman Page & #JetSpeed!
Speaking of war, Samoa Joe started one when he betrayed The Millennial Cowboy all the way back in November, then escalated inside that steel cage. AEW World Championship aspirations aside, this war must end here and now! Will Joe, Shibata & Hobbs prove they are #NeverLacking? Or will they be desperately lacking after fighting Hangman, Knight & Bailey?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who survives this Maximum Carnage Collision!
The trios sort out and Hangman starts against Joe. The fans fire up, but then Joe tags out to Shibata. Hangman is annoyed but the fans still chant for “COWBOY S*IT!” Bailey says he wants in, so Hangman tags him. Now it’s about “SPEEDBALL S*IT!” as Bailey circles with The Wrestler. Shibata offers a handshake? Bailey bows, then accepts, but Shibata kicks low! Shibata CLUBS Bailey, CLUBS him again, and he whips Bailey again. Bailey handsprings, Shibata dodges, but then Bailey dodges to fire LIGHTNING KICKS! And ENZIGIRI! Bailey bumps Shibata off buckles, he tags Knight, and they CHOP!
JetSpeed double whip, DOUBLE HIP TOSS, then KNEE DROP to UFO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Shibata sputters but Knight shows off by doing squats. Knight stands Shibata up, Shibata ROCKS Knight, then CLUBS him. Shibata calls to The Opps, and he whips Knight into the corner. Tag to Hobbs and he storms up on Knight. Knight fires forearms again and again, but Hobbs blocks to LARIAT! Joe laughs seeing Knight folded up. Hobbs drags Knight up, scoops, but Knight slips free! Hot tag to Hangman! The fans fire up as Hangman fires off on Hobbs! Hangman whips, Hobbs reverses, and Hobbs LARIATS first!
Hobbs mocks the Cowboy with finger guns, then he CLUBS Hangman. Hobbs drags Hangman over, tag to Shibata, and Shibata runs up, but Hangman scoops! FALL AWAY SLAM! Hangman kips up, runs corner to corner, and he LARIATS Shibata! Hangman keeps moving, but Shibata follows to BOOT Hangman int he corner! Shibata runs, Hangman follows, LARIAT! Hangman feints Shibata, Alabama Lifts, but Shibata sunset flips it! Hangman rolls through and SLIDING LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Hangman drags Shibata up, he wrenches the arm and tags Bailey. Bailey slingshots to CLUB Shibata’s arm.
Bailey KICKS, but Shibata blocks to ROCK Bailey! And ELBOW him down! Shibata snapmares Bailey by the ropes, then stomps him! Bailey goes to the apron, Shibata goes out to join him, and he APRON SNAP SUPLEXES! Shibata then rolls Bailey off the apron to snap suplex to the floor! Joe likes what he sees but the fans are torn while Collision goes picture in picture.
Joe nods as Shibata keeps after Bailey and puts him in the ring. Shibata covers, TWO! Shibata covers gain, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Bailey is showing his true grit, but Shibata stands him up to wrench. Tag to Joe, they mug Bailey, and Joe waits for Bailey to rise. JAB, and then a bump off buckles! Joe fires off more JABS, then a flurry, and a RIDGE HAND! The ref reprimands while Bailey slumps down, but Joe just smirks as he drags Bailey up. Bailey fires body shots, but Joe KNEES low! Joe whips Bailey to the corner, runs up, BACK BODY BLOCK and PELE! Cover, TWO! Bailey toughs it out, but Joe Mongolian Chops him!
Joe kicks Bailey around, tags Hobbs in, and Hobbs ELBOW DROPS Bailey’s back! Hobbs hauls Bailey up, suplexes, and holds him up! Bailey endures as we go to TEN before the SLAM! Hobbs taunts Hangman, goes back to Bailey, and he tags Shibata. Shibata stomps Bailey around, brings him up again, and Mongolian Chops! And ELBOWS him down! And ELBOWS again! Shibata stomps Bailey around, then stays between him and the corner. Shibata tags Joe, they mug Bailey with a CHOP, then Joe smirks. Maximum Carnage returns to single picture again, and Joe clamps onto Bailey with a neck wrench.
The fans rally as Bailey endures, and Bailey fights up. Bailey fires body shots, then ROCKS Joe, but Joe HEADBUTTS! Bailey stumbles away, Joe whips corner to corner, and Joe runs up, but Bailey BOOTS him! Bailey goes up, up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Bailey crawls, but so does Joe, hot tags to Hangman and Hobbs! Hangman dodges Hobbs to BLAST Shibata! Then Hangman BOOTS Hobbs, and Triangle Jump LARIATS Shibata! Hangman doges Hobbs again to PLANCHA onto Joe! Hangman HAMMERS away on Joe and the fans fire up! Hobbs storms over and drags Hangman up!
Hangman ROCKS Hobbs, then DUMPS him out! Hangman hurries up the corner while Phoenix fires up! ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Down go Hobbs & Joe! The fans fire up for “COWBOY S*IT!” and Hangman puts Hobbs in the ring. Hangman goes to the apron, he brings Hobbs up, and Hangman Alabama- NO, Hobbs fights the lift! Hobbs scoops, but Bailey slips in! LEG SWEEP! Hobbs falls on the apron! Bailey then MOONSAULT KNEE-DROPS on the apron! Hobbs’ jaw took most of that, and Hangman tags Knight for him to springboard in! FLYING- NO Hobbs turns that into an URENAGE! Tag to Joe and Joe gets Knight up!
But Knight fires forearms on Joe first! Knight runs, but Joe SNAP POWERSLAMS! Cover, Bailey & Hangman break it! Shibata & Joe stomp Hangman & Bailey out, then Joe tags Hobbs. Hobbs brings Knight up, he whips Knight to the corner, then runs up to SPLASH! Joe ELBOWS Knight, and Shibata HYDRAULIC DROPKICKS! Then a SNAP HALF HATCH! Joe SENTONS! Hobbs covers, Hangman breaks it in time! The fans fire up but Joe has Bailey in a COQUINA CLUTCH! Shibata and Hangman brawl, then Shibata slips around, SLEEPER! Hobbs stalks Knight while the ref reprimands the others, and Hobbs whips Knight for a SPINE-
NO, sunset flip!! High stack, SPACE COWBOYS WIN!!

Everyone is shocked, even the winners! Hangman promised to take everything from Joe, and he just took the last bit of gold Joe still had! Hangman hugs it out with JetSpeed while The Opps storm off in anger. Will The Opps regroup and gameplan their revenge? Meanwhile, Swerve walks out on stage, and he smirks as he and Knight stare down. Knight got that big win Swerve dared him to get, but will Knight get another one on Dynamite? Or will AEW still be whose house?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision here, with some awesome story developments as we’re two months out from Revolution. For one, we’re finally getting into the Don Callis Family VS Death Riders feud they’ve teased over the last few months. Marina Shafir of course beat Zayda Steel, but Zayda got a great showing, a lot better than I expected. Then DCF stepping on the Death Riders’ toes, turning things into a brawl, and still winning against SkyFlight, all really good. That was a great group promo from Death Riders, and the Six Man Street Fight will be great stuff. Though, you can bet it’ll turn into more than just 3v3, so it’ll be rather unpredictable.
Konosuke showing up and hugging Kyle is great foreshadowing. I can definitely see #ProtoShita being the leaders of the DCF splinter group, and they could pull the trigger at Grand Slam: Australia 2 in February. The fans would be behind it given it’d be Kyle and Konosuke. The real question would be who joins them. I would think Mark Davis joins Kyle as old friends, and with Davis goes Doyle, and that’s already a strong four to start with. Speaking of Davis & Doyle, good promo from FTR but FTR drone on a little too much these days. Their match with Doyle & Davis will be great, and if D&D choose Grand Slam: Australia for the title match, it’d be amazing if Davis & Doyle won there for the Aussie crowd to cheer another of their guys.
Though, with no women’s wrestlers in DCF (yet), Shafir is left to default to Megan, Ford, and the Timeless Love Bombs. Of course Megan & Ford won Ford’s return match, with Megan doing the majority of the work. That probably would’ve been how they did things even before Ford was out with injury. Megan & Ford VS Love Bombs feels a bit like making up for not seeing that in the tournament, but I could see Marina interfering so her side can win. This secret admirer could also show themselves, turn out to be a female wrestler, and then we get a Six Woman Tag. Though, does that mean no more Conglomeration love triangle romcom?
Very good promo from The Conglomeration to set up Briscoe VS Clon and hype up Claudio VS Roddy. I would think Claudio retains his title, they’re only doing this match on TV and not in CMLL. But are they really ending Clon’s win streak already? Not sure how to feel about that. Very good promo from The Cosmic Babes of Wrath to put it on Thekla to choose when and where the title match will be. Grand Slam: Australia could again be a choice to really power up the card, but that only leaves a month after that to build a new challenge for Revolution. Well, that is if Kris retains. If Thekla wins because of shenanigans, we could get Kris VS Thekla 2 for Revolution.
Andrade of course beat Angelico in his AEW return match, but the real purpose of that match was to get Heel heat. He kept toying with Angelico to annoy the fans, and as a Heel, he needs fans to boo him. Eddie & Ortiz VS GYV was a solid tag match, and as I said for ROH, I appreciate they’re booking a story that is on both brands. The only problem with that is, if fans didn’t watch ROH (or even World’s End Zero Hour), they don’t understand the heat behind this match. Either way, Eddie & Ortiz getting a sneaky win on Heel GYV was clever, and means we’ll definitely get a rematch. Eddie & Ortiz might be on a slow burn towards the tag titles with this.
Very fun promo from The Rascalz, I am surprised they pulled this off so soon. Trey Miguel’s absence is interesting, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if he’s the one man who didn’t sign with AEW. CRU having a response promo so soon was also a surprise. I know wrestlers are supposed to almost always put themselves over, but Action claiming CRU is one of the best when they haven’t done much of anything since forming… I mean, Rascalz are winning anyway, but still. Great match from Perry VS Bowens, and I’m a little surprised Perry won to get another shot at the National title so soon. But even then, I would think The Bucks hold off The Gates of Agony so that Perry and Ricochet will have a fair 1v1, and who knows who wins that.
And great main event for the World Trios Championships. Unfortunately, the news that Hobbs was on his way out getting out absolutely gave away how this would end. But them adding a promo from Swerve with Knight to set up their own 1v1 was good, and Knight getting the pin on Hobbs fit perfectly with that promo. Knight and Bailey have gold in AEW, Knight VS Swerve will be a great match on Dynamite, but The Opps might have to figure out how to recover with Hook kayfabing neck pain and Hobbs now disappearing. Perhaps we’ll get the first graduates of The Opps Dojo? AKA moving some ROH regulars up to AEW maybe?

In steps The Bounty Hunter, Bryan Keith! Keith tells Hangman, “I got my first taste of you three years ago, and you beat my ass like I stole something. But today, I steal it back. I’m a different man, Hangman, and I plan to show you. Yeah, I got the opportunity to make it personal. And tonight, I cash in. PAY UP!” The Bad Apple is ready to ruin things for the Millennial Cowboy, but will he get that bounty? Or will it be some serious #CowboySh*t in Phoenix?

Speaking of making things personal, The Relentless One was not taking “No” for an answer. He threatened to break The Bastard’s leg in order to get this match, will Darby still go through with that in order to win? Or will Pac make sure he’s 3-0 against the former TNT Champion?
Right as they reach ringside, with Renee Paquette holding the mic for him, Pac tells the Death Riders, “Tonight, I do this by myself, alright? I’ve got this.” Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Marina Shafir all respect that, and they fist bump Pac before he steps over the barrier. And then Darby DIVES onto him! The fans fire up as Darby DUMPS Pac over, back into the crowd! The fans fire up for Darby and he fires forearms on Pac! The ref reprimands, he wants this in the ring, but Darby headlocks and CLAWS Pac’s eyes! Pac staggers away but Darby pursues, and Darby headlocks Pac again.
Darby brings Pac to the bleachers and GRINDS his face into the safety railing! The fans fire up as Darby drags Pac further up into the stands, then he fires more hands! The fans cheer, and then Darby brings Pac to the very back row. Pac hits back to then bring Darby around the way. They brawl in that space between sections, and Pac CLAWS Darby’s eyes in return! The fans rally for Darby but Pac brings him back around. Pac whips, but Darby reverses, and Pac hits the wall! Darby decides to go up onto that ledge! The fans fire up for the SUPER COFFIN DROP! Pac and Darby fall into the shadows but the fans still fire up!
The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this the opener, even though this still isn’t a match on record yet! Pac hobbles his way down the bleachers and towards ringside, but Darby just fires up as he pursues. They return to ringside, and Pac runs to the stage! Darby pursues, Pac keeps going around with the cat ‘n’ mouse, but then he dodges Darby! Darby runs into the barriers, then Pac GERMAN SUPLEXES Darby on the floor! The fans rally while Darby writhes, but Pac is right on Darby. Pac clinches, but then he sees the steel steps. Pac brings the steps around while the ref says they gotta get in the ring.
Pac clinches again, and now he OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY SUPLEXES Darby on the steps! The fans lose their minds because yes, Darby landed ON the steps! Wedge after wedge in Darby’s spine, and yet Pac is stoic. Pac drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, and the ref wants Pac to wait. Pac says ring the damn bell then! The ref checks on Darby, Darby says do it, so the bell rings. Pac builds up speed for the BASTARD BOMBER! Cover, TWO?!? Darby survives and Pac is furious! The fans rally up for Darby while he crawls to the ropes. Pac grabs Darby’s wrists, and he has Darby under the ropes for a RIPCORD GUILLOTINE! Cover, TWO!
Darby sputters but he survives, and the fans rally up again. Pac storms up on Darby, wrenches an arm, and whips Darby to ropes for a BACKDROP! Darby does a 450 before he belly flops, then Pac deadlift GERMAN SUPLEXES! Bridging cover, TWO! Darby stays in the fight while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Pac paces while he waits on Darby. Darby crawls to a corner, Pac storms over to him, and Pac digs his boot into Darby’s face. The ref counts, Pac stops at 4, but he digs his boot back in! Darby slumps out of the ring, Pac steps out after him, and brings Darby around by his ear. Pac then THROWS Darby into the LED barriers! Pac stomps Darby, Darby staggers and stumbles away, but Pac just THROWS him into the LED barriers again! Darby slides into the ring but Pac stays with him. Pac digs his knee into Darby’s head, but stops as the ref counts 4. Pac soaks up the heat from Phoenix while Darby sputters his way to another corner.
Pac scuffs Darby, kicks him, then BOOTS him! And digs his boot back in! Darby endures, the ref counts, and Pac stops at 4. Pac drags Darby up to whip him hard into barriers! Darby falls back, checks his jaw, but Pac stands him back up. Pac puts Darby in a corner, on the top rope, and climbs up after him. Pac is on the very top as Maximum Carnage returns to single picture. Darby fires body shots and the fans fire up! Darby HEADBUTTS Pac down! The fans cheer while Pac staggers, and Darby is up to MISSILE DROPKICK! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! A standing count starts, but Darby rises at 4 of 10.
Pac also stands, but Darby fires forearms! Darby whips, Pac reverses, but Darby springboards to COFFIN SPLASH! The fans fire up, Darby BOOTS Pac, then leaps over to roll and SHOTGUN! The fans fire up as Pac falls into the corner! Darby crawls to the other corner, runs up, but into an OVERHEAD THROW into buckles! Pac drags Darby back up to put back up top. Pac goes to the very top, SUPER DUPER OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY!! The fans rally for Darby but Pac reels him back in. Pac snarls, lifts, and he has the crucifix lift for a RAZOR’S EDGE out onto the ramp! The fans boo while Darby sputters on the floor.
Pac just waits for the count to handle this. The count is already 5 of 10 while Darby is still down. The fans rally as hard as they can, but we’re already at 8! Darby rises up at 9 and LUNGES in! The fans cheer and Pac is annoyed, but Darby drags himself up with the ropes. Darby flips Pac off, defiant to the end! The fans cheer that, but Pac hops down. Oh no, Pac’s ankle jams? Darby pounces! Darby goes after Pac, trips Pac, but Pac slips free! Darby goes up, up, and SUPER COFFION DROPS again! The fans fire up as Darby hurries to get Pac in the ring! Darby CLUBS Pac on the apron, then goes up the corner again!
The fans fire up as Darby takes aim, APRON COFFIN DROP!! Double-edged for Darby but the fans still fire up! Darby runs at the corner, COFFIN SPLASH! And COFFIN SPLASH! The ref is checking on Pac between impacts, but Pac YANKS him into the path of the COFFIN SPLASH! The fans boo as the ref goes down in a heap! Darby is stunned to see what happened, and he checks on the ref, but Pac hobbles his way around to Darby. But Darby trips Pac first! Darby steps through and turns Pac over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac flails, TAPS, but the ref can’t count it! And then YUTA shows up?! What about Pac doing this alone?!
Yuta has a chair, but Darby DROPKICKS the chair into Yuta’s face! Then SCORPION DEATH DROP on Yuta! Darby takes that chair for his own, drags Pac back up, SCORPION DEATH DROP! Then Darby puts the chair around Pac’s leg! Darby is getting payback in the worst way! Darby goes up, and COFFION DROP on the chair!! Pac flails in agony but Darby gets his legs again! SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! The ref is awake, he sees Pac TAP!! Darby wins!!

As Samoa Joe said, The Bounty Hunter is looking to finally bring down The Millennial Cowboy. Joe wants Hangman out of the title chase, Keith wants to finally get his win back, will it be two birds with one stone? Or will Hangman just chew the Bad Apple up and spit him out on his way back to the AEW World Championship?
The bell rings, The Redwood steps onto the apron to distract Hangman, but Hangman still dodges Keith’s sneak attack! Hangman fires hands on Keith, whips him to ropes, but Keith blows past the boot to BOOT Hangman! The fans boo but Keith tells them to shut up. Keith CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Keith whips, Hangman reverses, scoop and- NO, Keith fights free to trip Hangman! Hangman BOOTS Keith away, then avoids a boot to BOOT Keith down! The fans fire up, Hangman brings Keith around, and Hangman bumps Keith off buckles. Hangman ROCKS Keith again and again, but the ref counts 4.
The fans rally for Hangman but the ref has him back off. Keith rises up, Hangman storms back up, and Hangman puts Keith on the apron. Hangman goes up, but Keith avoids the triangle jump lariat! Hangman still BLINDSIDE LARIATS! And PLANCHAS! The fans fire up while Keith goes down! Hangman tells Bill to back off, the ref wants this back in the ring, but Keith throat chops Hangman! Keith THROWS Hangman at the ropes, but Hangman rebounds to LARIAT! Hangman fires hands on Keith right in front of the front row, but he lets off to refresh the ring count. Hangman puts Keith in the ring, then stalks him to a corner.
Hangman drags Keith up and turns him around to CHOP! The fans “WOO~” while Keith is stinging. Hangman CHOPS, then fireman’s carries, but Keith fires elbows. Keith is free but Hangman ROLLING ELBOWS him down! Hangman looms over Keith, the fans rally up, and Hangman runs. But Bill trips him up! The ref misses that, and Keith RISING HEADBUTTS Hangman! Keith hurries to rain down fists in the corner! The fans boo, Bill cheers Keith on, and Keith CLAWS Hangman’s face while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref reprimands and counts, Keith stops at 4, and Hangman checks his eyes. Keith tells fans to shut up, they give thumbs down in return. Keith goes back to Hangman, digs his boots in, but the ref counts. Keith stops at 4, argues with the ref, but Hangman gets up to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP again! Keith ROCKS Hangman, TOSSES him out, then paces around. Keith argues with the ref again, and that lets Bill stomps Hangman! The Redwood soaks up heat, then Keith goes out to fetch Hangman. Keith THROWS Hangman into the steel steps! Keith snarls at the fans while Bill cheers him on. Keith then drags Hangman up to SMACK him off the steps!
Keith puts Hangman in the ring, then looms over him. Keith sits Hangman up to CHOP him! Hangman huffs ‘n’ puffs but he eggs Keith on. Keith CHOPS, Hangman stands up, and Keith CHOOPS again! Hangman eggs Keith on again so Keith CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHPOS! Hangman CHOPS in return! Maximum Carnage returns as Keith KNEES Hangman low! Keith clinches but Hangman fires elbows! Keith shoves Hangman into the corner, runs up, but Hangman dodges! Keith hits buckles, but he BOOTS Hangman first! Hangman just walks that off and snarls again. Keith wants Hangman to cool off, but Hangman runs up, into a drop toehold!
Hangman hits buckles, then Keith KNEES Hangman! Clinch and EXPLODER! Cover, TWO! Hangman is tougher than that and the fans rally up. Keith shakes his head, hears the fans rallying for Hangman, and he storms back up on Hangman. Keith whips, Hangman reverses, and Hangman runs up. Keith ELBOWS him away, but runs into the scoop! FALL AWAY SLAM! The fans fire up and Hangman kips up! The fans cheer again as Hangman DECKS Keith! And DECKS him again! Then whip and- NO, Keith sunset flips, but Hangman rolls through! SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Keith survives but the fans rally for Hangman.
Hangman drags Keith up, fireman’s carries, but Keith fires elbows. Hangman ROLLING- NO, Keith catches the lariat into a wrench and rolling leg cradle! TWO, Hangman swings again, but into an OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY into buckles! Cover, TWO! Hangman survives, Keith is frustrated, but the fans rally up again. Keith snarls and he reels Hangman in. Keith puts one out, but Hangman wrenches free to short arm LARIAT! Hangman then goes to the apron, but Keith distracts the ref so Bill can trip Hangman up! Hangman BOOTS Bill away, then he avoids Keith’s slide! Keith avoids the Asai Moonsault!
Keith is back in the ring and he again distracts the ref. Bill guzels Hangman, but SWERVE jumps in from the crowd! Swerve uses the chain to CHOKE Bill! The fans fire up as Swerve then CLUBS Bill down! Hangman BOOTS Keith, locks ‘n’ loads, BUCKSHOT!! Cover, Hangman wins!

No bounty for the Bounty Hunter, because who knew The Realest was watching The Cowboy’s back! The fans cheer, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Hangman grabs a mic. Hangman tells Keith, “You go and try to collect your bounty now, dumbass.” The fans cheer that! “Samoa Joe! Samoa Joe! Not man enough to fight me himself! So he hires Bryan Keith. Samoa Joe, I am going to take everything from you.” The fans cheer, and the mic is handed to Swerve. Swerve says, “And I got a message for you, MJF. If you just so happen to come out victorious and you keep that championship around your waist, what really means is you actually lost.
“Because I… No, we will be coming after you relentlessly.” The fans cheer as Swerve and Hangman are standing side-by-side now. Swerve continues, “And since this is 2026 now, I got a New Year’s Resolution. It’s been awhile since I had the AEW World Championship around my waist, and that’s what this fanbase wants to see, am I right?” The fans do cheer that! Swerve vows they get back on the mountaintop and make this whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” But wait! KENNY OMEGA joins the conversation! The fans practically erupt as The Cleaner steps out on stage, a mic of his own already in hand, and he gets pyro for his entrance, too!
Omega joins Swerve and Hangman in the ring, the fans cheering him on now. Kenny then says, “I had my own time etched out for what I had to say, but I figured, why not come out now? Why not come out now, when three of the greatest challengers for the AEW Heavyweight Championship belt are standing in the ring right here, right now?!” The fans cheer that! Kenny says that he doesn’t mean to speak for anyone else, but it feels like all three men have something to prove. Kenny knows he has something to prove, not just to himself, but to each and every single one of the fans. When we all called him the “God of Pro-Wrestling,” it MEANT something!
And if the fans still believe, then Kenny still believes. He understands that winning a belt isn’t about being an EVP, snapping his fingers, and making it happen. From what he understands, he’s gotta win some matches first. So whether it be friend (Hangman) or foe (Swerve), Kenny IS going for that belt. Hangman tells Kenny then it looks like there are three men who want that title. And unfortunately, this is not a team effort. So if they cross paths on the way to the championship… Hangman means this sincerely: May the best man win. Hangman and Kenny shake hands, but Swerve isn’t so sure. Another horse has entered the race, but who will reach the goal first?
Swerve and Hangman leave, but Kenny stays behind, only for the Don Callis Family to appear. The fans boo and Kenny frowns, but Don Callis leads the way for Rocky Romero, Josh Alexander, and Lance Archer. The Jackal says, “I have something important to say!” The fans boo more, but Callis says he has always been a big fan of M J F! But he has to question MJF’s logic even thinking of associating with a scumbag like Kenny! But now Kenny’s back, he wants the title, huh? And he’s gotta win some matches! You wanna wrestle, kid? How about you wrestle the man who broke Kota Ibushi’s leg!? The same man who sent Kenny to the hospital!
Callis dares Kenny to face the Walking Weapon, Josh Alexander! Kenny chuckles and tells “Uncle Don” that he could barely hear him over all these people. But what it sounds like is that Callis issued a challenge. Yes, Kenny has to win matches. He doesn’t deserve a belt unless he beats some of the best in AEW. So Josh Alexander? Well… Kenny’s got some time tonight. So if the fans want it, if Tony Khan will have it, and if the family will have it, Kenny would love to make his record nice and shiny for going after the world title. What does Josh say?! Josh wants it NOW, but Callis has them all hold on! The fans boo that.
Callis says he and Kenny have known each other for many years. And he guess it has been awhile, but Kenny forgot how this works. Kenny does what Daddy says! And Daddy decides when matches happen! Kenny gets Josh next week on Dynamite! The fans boo that, but Callis says that what he says goes! The Jackal now leads his family away, but the fans cuss him out for it. Kenny tells the fans, “Well, you heard it here first, folks. Unfortunately, it’s gonna have to be next week. But trust me, today was a very big first step, and you all were witness to phase one of Kenny Omega once again becoming your AEW Heavyweight Champion.
“Now I’d love to stay out here and listen to the sound of my own voice, but I must bid you adieuuu~! Goodbye, MWAH! And goodnight, BANG!” The fans cheer and Kenny takes his leave. Will Omega manage to disarm the Walking Weapon when Dynamite rolls into Orlando, Florida? Or will Josh Alexander and the Don Callis Family do everything they can to stop Kenny’s return to former glory?
Backstage interview with Brody King.
Renee Paquette walks ‘n’ walks with the King of Death, and says that with Bandido in the main event, fighting for THE AEW World Championship, the deal between #Brodido is that Brody gets first shot should Bandido win. But before Renee can ask her question, Jon Cruz finds them. He says Brody is just the man he was looking for. Cruz tells Brody to tell his masked amigo to never punch Cruz in the face, and to never suplex him ever again. Brody says yeah, he’ll be sure to do that. Because now, it’s Brody’s turn. What? They’re the standby match. P-Pardon? Yeah, they’re next. B-But Cruz isn’t dressed to compete, and this button is tricky…
Cruz scurries away and Brody says see you soon, Jon! Brody heads to gorilla, will he use Cruz as an appetizer while we all wait on the main event? Will tonight be a great night for Brodido?

Maximum Carnage returns as Brody makes his entrance, and the overly-dressed Cruz is chucking his shoes at him! They don’t really do much, and Brody steps into the ring. Cruz runs up, CROSSBODIES, but he bounces off Brody! The bell rings, Cruz is dazed, but Brody CHOPS Cruz back down! The fans fire up while Brody watches Cruz go to a corner. Brody runs up, Cruz slips outside, and Brody hits buckles! Cruz goes up, up, and leaps, into a FOREARM! Then Brody gets Cruz up, GONZO BOMB! Cover, Brody wins!

Brody puts his coat over Cruz to lay him to rest, then he grabs the mic. “Bandido! Tonight, in the main event of Dynamite, I want you to beat MJF’s ass from pillar to post! And after tonight, it will be an honor to step in the ring with the first NEW AEW Champion!” The fans cheer and Brody steps away. Will the Most Wanted be able to bring down The Scumbag? Speaking of golden opportunities, champions need challengers, and Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood are still the #TopGuys after surviving World’s End and the Chicago Street Fight. Will FTR soon be facing their greatest rivals once again? Will Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona look to bring even more gold to The Demand? Will Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey look to get another rematch with Cash & Dax? Or will the Don Callis Family’s newest duo do something big in their tag team debut?
Ricochet and Don Callis each join commentary here to support their guys, and Callis complains that The Bucks are literally blowing Callis’ money on that entrance. The moment The Bucks are in the ring, they DIVE onto Davis & Doyle on the outside! The fans fire up, the bell rings, and the brawls are on! JetSpeed DIVE onto GOA! The fans fire up as now JetSpeed and Bucks meet in the ring. But then they each spot the others teams, so JetSpeed DIVE onto Davis & Doyle while The Bucks DOUBLE PLANCHA onto GOA! The fans fire up again, The Bucks and JetSpeed hold the ring, but Ricochet says the fans here are sheep.
JetSpeed and Bucks step up and throw hands! The fans fire up while Nick puts Bailey in one corner and Matt puts Knight in the other. The Bucks whip, JetSpeed reverses, but The Bucks dosido. JetSpeed dodge them on the return, then they dosido, but The Bucks scoop them! DOUBLE SLAM! But JetSpeed avoid elbow drops! But then The Bucks avoid elbow drops! QUADRUPLE DROPKICKS all cancel out but the fans all fire up! Only for Davis & Doyle to CLOBBER everyone! GOA also join in, and Doyle scoop SLAMS Knight! Then GOA step to D&D while the fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” They all egg each other on, but then JetSpeed sets up!
Knight & Bailey MISSILE DROPKICK Doyle & Kaun! Liona CLUBS away on Knight and Davis TOSSES Bailey, but Matt Jackson gets back in! Matt throws hands on Davis, Knight fires hands on Liona, but the bigger men aren’t bothered! Liona SHOVES Knight, but Bailey runs up to fire forearms! Davis SHOVES Matt, but now Nick fires forearms! Liona and Davis both ROAR, but then Matt gives Nick a boost, same as Knight for Bailey! Bailey and Nick rain down fists, then they hit STEREO TORNADO DDTS! The fans fire up for The Bucks and JetSpeed while Ricochet and Callis complain. Matt builds speed and FLIES, but he’s caught by Doyle and Kaun!
JetSpeed DOUBLE PLANCHA, but they’re caught by Davis and Liona! Nick lines it up, he FLIES out onto everyone! The fans fire up as The Bucks stand tall! Matt & Nick coordinate and get Doyle in the ring. The fans rally up, JetSpeed has Davis, and they put the big men in the corners. Nick and Knight climb up, they rain down fists, and the fans count along. Nick and Knight only get to five before Davis & Doyle shove them away. Matt & Bailey hurry to finish where they left off! They each get five but Davis & Doyle shove them away, too. Davis & Doyle run up, but Bucks & JetSpeed get clear, sending the big men into each other! Doyle & Davis just fire up for it!
But then the big men turn around into DOUBLE DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Matt & Bailey have Doyle, Knight & Nick have Davis! J E T TRIGGERS get caught as Davis & Doyle get up and under! DOUBLE DOUBLE POWERBOMBS!! But now Kaun sneaks in, and he BOOTS Doyle! He dodges Davis, and Lona POUNCES! Kaun LARIATS Doyle and himself up and out of the ring! Liona sees that and hurries to the apron. Liona ASAI MOONSAULTS?! Even Ricochet is shocked and surprised to see that! Liona THROWS Nick into railing, then into the apron! And back again! Kaun does the same to Knight, and Liona CLOBBERS Knight into the crowd!
The fans are torn as the Gates are standing tall, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Kaun puts Matt in the ring, he and Linoa regroup, only for Davis & Doyle to YANK them down! Davis THROWS Liona over railing, and Doyle DECKS Kaun! Davis goes after Matt in the corner, fires hands, then whips corner to corner. Matt goes up and over, and Nick returns to SHINING WIZARD! Matt cravats Davis, then gets help from Nick for the SLICED BREAD! SHINING WIZARD again! But then Doyle DOUBLE LARIATS The Bucks! Knight fires off on Doyle, runs the ropes, but Davis gets up! DOUBLE FLAPJACK! Doyle & Davis soak up some heat, then Bailey rolls in. Doyle & Davis are right on Speedball, and they smother him in a corner!
Davis & Doyle make sure to coordinate, then they DOUBLE TOSS Bailey across the ring! Davis goes out to throw Knight back into the ring and stomp him down. Doyle stands on Bailey’s head while taunting him, and Bailey can only watch as Davis TOSSES Knight across the way! Doyle goes after Knight now, and he DECKS Knight with a forearm! Bailey says yes, it has been rough, but- Swerve steps in and pats them both on the shoulders? Swerve tells them that was just bad luck. Swerve and Bailey were tearing it up all around the world. They haven’t mixed it up here in AEW, but when they do, Swerve says it will be fireworks. And as for Knight, The Jet! When Swerve was world champion, one of the names he brought up to Tony Khan was Kevin Knight. Knight IS the future of this business, so trust him when he says Knight’s time is coming.
Swerve leaves having given his encouragement, and Renee asks how JetSpeed is going to respond to that. Hangman Page also walks in and he tells them that they may have lost this chance to challenge for the world tag titles, but NOT the Trios! Hangman Page told Samoa Joe he would take everything from him! Hangman took Hook from Joe last week, and this Saturday, he looks to take those trios titles from Joe, too! However, the Most Wanted has been unstoppable as ROH World Champion, and he even won the newest Dynamite Diamond Ring tournament to earn this opportunity. Will Bandido become even more powerful as a DOUBLE World Champion? Or will MJF do anything and everything he can to stay on top?
The introductions are made, “Triple B” is raised, and we see who survives Maximum Carnage!
The bell rings and the fans fire up already as MJF and Bandido stare down. They circle while the fans duel an even 50-50. MJF eggs Bandido on, they tie up, but Bandido rolls MJF up! TWO and MJF backs off fast. Bandido says it was that close, but MJF tells the fans to shut up! The fans boo, but MJF and Bandido go again. MJF headlocks, Bandido powers up and out, but MJF RUNS Bandido over! Then MJF does a rather sad Latino Heat. But Bandido kips up, hurdles, then drops down. MJF just Fargo Struts over that! The fans are torn between booing and wooing, then things speed up. Bandido hurdles, leaps over, then tilt-o-whirl arm-drags!
Bandido keeps moving, and then tilt-o-whirl RANAS! Sweep and cover, WTO! MJF stands but Bandido sweeps and covers again! TWO, MJF jumps over the third, and he calls Bandido a dumbass! Bandido feels that energy from the fans, and he drags MJF back to ringside. “This is Awesome!” as MJF flounders into the ring. Bandido runs up again, but MJF wrenches to ARM CODE BREAKER! Bandido goes to a corner, MJF runs up, but into a BOOT! Bandido goes up, up, and TORNILLO! Cover, TWO! MJF hurries to his feet but Bandido’s on him! POISON-RANA!! A battle of two world champions, there was never any doubt this would be an instant classic! And perhaps most surprisingly, MJF won this without having to dig into his bag of tricks! MJF grabs a mic, he has them cut his music, and though the fans boo, he says, “Bandido… When they said you were gonna be an AEW World Champion, I laughed. But after wrestling you, it seems very apparent they were right.” The fans cheer this rare compliment from MJF, and he continues by telling Bandido, “As much as it pains me to admit this, you’re gonna be AEW World Champion one day.” The fans cheer that, too!
But MJF says that unfortunately means he has to do this. HE CLOBBERS BANDIDO WITH THE BELT! MJF rains down fists, ruining every bit of good faith he’d just earned! MJF motions for unmasking Bandido and the fans boo more! MJF looms over Bandido, sits him up, but BRODY rushes out here! The fans fire up as MJF runs away like the chicken he is! Brody makes sure Bandido is alright first, helps him sit up, and the fans cheer #Brodido on. Bandido was that close to being AEW World Champion tonight, will he hit the mark next time? Will the King of Death tear down the Devil of AEW first?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite to start Maximum Carnage, and it even did a great job setting up more for the coming weeks. Darby Allin VS PAC was a great opener, though mostly standard formula for Darby. I will say, I didn’t think he’d get away with kayfabe breaking Pac’s leg, though. Is Pac being written off TV through this? And if Darby is done with the Death Riders now that he got the win he needed, what’s he gonna do next? The world title is clearly spoken for, Mark Briscoe is TNT Champion and Face, but maybe he’s not done and will want the Continental Championship from Moxley? The International Championship off Okada?
Samoa Joe sending Bryan Keith after Hangman is interesting, but it made for a great match of Hangman VS Keith, then Big Bill and Swerve getting in on it. Solid win for Hangman from this, and a decent promo segment from Swerve, Hangman, and Kenny. Though, other than Hangman being cool with Kenny and Swerve not being cool, that didn’t add much. Don Callis wanting to eliminate Kenny again is rather tired, but Omega VS Alexander will be good, and Omega said it himself, he needs wins. I feel like we’ll eventually get Omega VS Hangman VS Swerve in a Triple Threat to name a contender, maybe a Fatal 4 if Joe wants in on that. Or maybe they’re all in a tournament, TK could do whatever he wants.
Amazing Fatal 4 Way Tag, great innovation from all eight men, and Doyle & Davis definitely meshed as a team rather quickly. I’m rather surprised it’s Doyle & Davis VS FTR, but sometimes Heels VS Heels can be a lot of fun because it boils down to who can cheat harder faster. Plus, Bucks and GOA clearly took each other out along with Jack Perry and Ricochet, we’re definitely getting more of New Elite VS The Demand. Perry VS Bowens will be a solid #1 contender’s match, but it seems redundant if Jack gets another shot at Ricochet for the National title so soon. Maybe Ricochet helps Bowens win because he feels he can beat Bowens easier than he can Jack.
Swerve and Hangman encouraging JetSpeed was nice, but what a surprise that Hangman wants to reunite the Space Cowboys or whatever you want to call them. Word came out during the show that Will Hobbs’ contract was up at midnight, and unless TK dumps a truckload of money out, Hobbs might go to WWE. The trios match (which is being recorded tonight to be aired on Saturday) will be a dead giveaway, though. Ironically, this works even better in story because then Opps will lose the trios titles AND lose Hobbs, making it easier for Hangman to fight it out 1v1 with Samoa Joe as part of the chase for the top title.
Great Six Woman Tag, but as I figured, Triangle of Madness won out. I did NOT think Thekla would pin Kris, so that was a great surprise. Plus, that just spells it out that Thekla is facing Kris for the title, but I feel like Kris should retain the title through it. Same goes for Babes of Wrath overcoming Sisters of Sin. The SkyFlight promo setting up all their stuff for Saturday, you can bet SkyFlight takes all the losses. Don Callis Family is gonna build momentum for Clon’s win streak, for Alexander facing Omega, and Kyle Fletcher wanting after Mark Briscoe for the TNT title in “game seven.” And Zayda is definitely not getting through Marina, are you kidding me? Zayda’s a good talker, but that’s Marina “The Problem” Shafir.
And then great stuff with the AEW World Championship. It seems to be Brody’s thing to be the “standby match guy,” because he can just put people away with ease. It was also two birds, one stone as Jon Cruz could not support MJF in the main event in any capacity. I meant it when I said MJF VS Bandido is an instant classic, a Match of the Year contender and it’s still January. Great details in how MJF didn’t cheat but faced Bandido head on, and in how Bandido did the Stone Cold pass out. MJF of course had to double down the Heel heat, though, and really, MJF VS Brody should be next since we’re on that long road to Revolution. Brodido can fail against MJF and that makes them wonder if they return to the tag division or what, lots of possibilities there.
