Nathan Frazer VS Mark Andrews!

The British Prodigy wants to prove himself against the best, and when it comes to flying through the air, no one’s better than Subculture’s high-fiving, stage diving, skateboarding rockstar! But will Frazer be ready to go from match film to the real deal?

That was in the blink of an eye, and Frazer is stunned! Will Andrews show he’s got what it takes in the singles division?

NXT UK Media catches up with Sam Gradwell.

But he already cuts them off to say they aren’t getting words from him. But they want to know his plans for- “Thunderstorms don’t make plans, they change ’em.” But A-Kid finds him first. He heard what Gradwell was saying about him and Spain. That is unacceptable. AK knows Gradwell likes to talk, but if he wants to talk to AK, do it in his language. What? Spanish? No, he means fighting. You yogurt! AK gets Gradwell with his usual insult! Gradwell says it’s only funny when he does it, yogurt! Will the Spanish Sensation make Gradwell eat his words soon enough?

Pretty Deadly are out front of the Hippodrome.

Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley have conquered sports entertainment, but they’re #PrettyDeadlySerious about many other things. So today, they’re checking out Magic Mike Live, the musical version of the hit movie. The NXT UK Tag Team Champions get to show off their side plates to the cast, and note how they got to have a “Told you so!” moment back to their mums who didn’t think they’d make it this far. Ross Sands the choreographer had them run through the routine and see if they could keep up. Pretty Deadly says a big difference between them and the dancers is that Pretty Deadly is more “trim.” But they’re all stars, so it’s all the same. Do you think you’ve got what it takes? #YesBoy!

And in their opinions, they smashed it! Sands commends them on getting it down in under half an hour. Mad respect. But what’s next for Stoker and Howley to get #PrettyDeadlySerious about? We’ll just have to wait and see.

NXT UK Media finds Kenny Williams up to something.

Uh, what’s he up to with that marker pen? “Sha Samuels is a” but Kenny hasn’t finished. He yells at the reporters, but then he hears someone making a lot of noise. Oh, it’s Saxon Huxley. Kenny didn’t realize it was him, but it seems he’s looking for that missing puzzle piece. Well it won’t translate in the ring against someone as smart as Kenny. Kenny throws his shirt at Saxon, Saxon stomps it down and calls him, “Kenny Cockroach!” The Scum of the Earth may be a bottom feeder, but will he be squashed by the Divine Beast of the Astral Plane soon enough?

Dani Luna VS Stevie Turner!

Last week, we saw Flash Morgan Webster go hard but fall against Rampage Brown, while we just saw #MANDREWS fly high against Nathan Frazer. Will Subculture get on the winning side as the Punk Rock Powerhouse steps into the ring? Or will all her strength mean nothing to the Four Dimensional Diva?

The bell rings and fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Luna powers Turner back, but lets off as the ref counts. Turner slips out to the apron, then slips back in at the other corner. They tie up again, Luna again powers Turner to a corner, but Turner pulls hair to turn things around! The ref counts, Turner pushes Luna, but Luna shoves Turner down! Turner gets up with a bit of fluster, but she calls Luna out for a test of strength? Luna ties up with the knuckle locks, but then Turner stomps a foot! Turner has the knuckle locks, but Luna turns them onto Turner! Luna powers Turner down for the cover! ONE, then Turner kicks free, only to run into a hip toss!

Luna runs Turner over, scoops and SLAMS her, then covers! TWO, but Luna keeps close. She brings Turner up to snap suplex! Una amiga, then a dead lift! But Turner slips out and pulls hair again! Luna swings on Turner, Turner dodges to THESZ PRESS! But Luna turns that around to a dead lift! Turner slips out of the bomb but Luna LARIATS Turner down! Fans fire up while Turner sputters and crawls to ropes. Luna stalks up behind Turner, waistlocks and drags Turner up, but Turner grabs ropes! The ref counts, Turner wheelbarrows Luna into the ropes! Then KNEES her down! Cover, TWO! Turner scowls and drags Luna up, turns her, and hits a NECKBREAKER!

But Turner holds on, gets Luna up again, and hits another NECKBREAKER! And then a third! Cover, TWO! Luna survives the hat trick but Turner hooks her up and rains down elbows! Luna endures the seated stretch to fireman’s carry takeover! Luna rallies with shoulders, then she whips and scoops to a POWERSLAM! And then a dead lift to a FALL AWAY SLAM! Luna kips up and fans fire up! She RAMS Turner into the corner, then hits an EXPLODER! Cover, TWO! Turner is still in this and Luna grows frustrated. Fans rally up, Luna dead lifts Turner but Turner slips out again. Turner reels Luna in, SIDE EFFECT! Cover, TWO!

Turner grows frustrated, she taunts Luna and pushes her around. Turner stands Luna, Luna shoves her, dodges the boot and BOOTS Turner down! Dead lift suplex! Luna pushes Turner now, gets her up in a fireman’s carry, but Turner grabs ropes. The ref counts. Luna pulls Turner from the ropes to WIDOWMAKER! Cover, Luna wins!

Winner: Dani Luna, by pinfall

It doesn’t matter if it’s third or fourth, strength wins in all dimensions! Will this help Luna power up and head for the title?

It’s the Nina Samuels Show!

Nina Samuels welcomes us back as she’s preparing for a scoop. She wants Isla Dawn to talk to her, but she just laughs and goes down the hallway. Some people have no professionalism whatsoever. Isla is one thing, but then there’s that Aleah James! She gets one win and she thinks she’s the bee’s knees! It only took her a whole year to get it, though! But then Aleah James walks up and taps Nina on the shoulder. Nina clearly has a problem with her, so what is it then? Nina says there’s no problem but Aleah says she’ll talk to Sid Scala about making a match. Fine! Aleah walks off and Nina says there’s the exclusive. Will Aleah make Nina watch her back before she runs her mouth?

Gallus rides through the city streets.

Markus and Wolfgang can’t believe the nerve of Teoman and Rohan Raja. Who do they think they are? They’re here a minute and call themselves a family. Gallus has been here since day one, making a name for themselves. Maybe they forget that Gallus is a family, but also a business. “These guys take things too personally.” Joe says if the posers want to make this personal, then they’ll remind everyone why it’s Gallus boys on top. Uh oh, are they getting pulled over? Mark, put the boot down. AKA pedal to the metal. Will this still be Gallus’ Kingdom after having it out with The Babo’s family?

Subculture celebrates backstage.

FMW and Andrews are fired up for Luna, NXT UK Media says they must be pleased. Yep, 2-0 here tonight for Subculture. They said that they’d start from the bottom, fight to the top. But Blair Davenport says they should just stay at the bottom. The closer they get to the top, Blair will just send Luna back down. Is she right? No fist bump for her so she just leaves. Subculture shrugs that off, but will Luna have to get through the gritty goth if she wants to go for the gold?

NXT UK Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Fatal 4 Way: Moustache Mountain VS Symbiosis VS Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter VS Jack Starz & Dave Mastiff!

Trent Seven is so hungry for his first NXT UK gold, he’s practically starving! Will this huge main event be what he, and Tyler Bate, needs to get after those tag titles? Or will another of these young, hungry and impressive duos take that food off Moustache Mountain’s table for their own Pretty Deadly showdown?

In this kind of Fatal 4, only two teams are legal at a time, and Jack Starz steps up, as does Trent Seven. They circle, tie up, fans sing for “Trent Seven Army~!” as he spins and snapmares Starz to a ghost pin, ONE! He holds onto Starz, turns him back to a ghost pin, TWO! Starz gets away and he resets with Seven. They circle, tie up, and Seven wrenches an arm to a wristlock. Starz rolls, rolls and gets away! Fans cheer, and Seven applauds that as they reset again. They tie up with knuckle locks and go shoulder to shoulder. Starz kicks an arm, wrenches then drops to leg pick! Starz kips up to the spinning toe hold! Starz then gets up for a standing toe hold, but Seven endures.

Seven moves around as Starz keeps on the toe ‘n’ ankle, but Seven turns over to reel Starz in with a trick from Tyler Bate’s book. But Starz knows that trick to wrench and YANK the arm. Starz wrangles Seven down to JAM the arm, then he wrenches to tag in Mastiff! The Bomber  headlocks, Seven powers out but Mastiff runs him over! Seven grabs onto a leg but Mastiff stomps him. Things speed up for these big boys and Mastiff whips Seven to ropes. Seven comes back with a CROSSBODY! Seven topples Mastiff then fires up to scoop! But he falls over under Mastiff’s weight! Cover, TWO! Seven survives being squashed, but Mastiff stalks him to ropes. And Carter tags in off Mastiff!

Mastiff grumbles but Carter back suplexes Seven! Cover, TWO! Carter keeps on Seven with a wrench, tags to Smith, and Smith takes the handoff to wrench to an ELBOW BREAKER! Smith whip and WRINGS Seven out, then tags Carter. They coordinate, assisted slingshot shoulder tackle! Cover, TWO! Carter keeps Seven down with an armlock, then a wrench. Carter CLUBS the arm, but Seven wrenches Carter back! Seven wrenches again, has the wristlock, but Carter rolls, kips and kicks, but Primate tags in off Seven! Carter still gets Primate with a hip toss! Tag to Smith, he leap frogs to attack the arm! Smith then wrenches and BACK DROPS Primate to an armlock!

Primate endures, Smith shifts to a top wristlock, but Primate powers him to the Mastiff & Starz corner! Starz tags in off Smith, mugs Primate and wrenches his arm to CLUB away on the arm. Tag to Mastiff, Starz JAMS Primate’s arm then Mastiff scoops and SLAMS Primate down! Tag to Starz, Mastiff hits a BACK SENTON! Starz SLINGSHOT SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Starz CLUBS Primate, wrenches but Primate ROCKS Starz with a right. Primate wrenches Starz’s arm, has the wristlock and clamps onto the shoulder. Primate pulls hair, the ref reprimands, but Starz fights up. Primate wrenches again, buts Starz rolls, cartwheels and handsprings to slide under and kick Primate out!

Primate gets on the apron but Starz kips up to dropkick him down! Then a dropkick for Smith! And for Seven! And for Eddie Dennis as he gets on the apron! Starz shouts, “Who else wants it?!” Primate gets in again but Starz dodges to EuroUpper! Bate tags in off Primate before Starz back drops Primate away! Fans are fired up as the Big Strong Boy and Starz stand off. They tie up, Bate arm-drags, Starz headscissors, Bate kips free. Starz trips Bate, Bate uses both legs to throw Starz, but Starz cartwheels through! The two stand off again and fans fire up! The two circle, tie up, Starz headlocks. Bate throws body shots, powers out, and Dennis trips Starz?! The ref reprimands, then EJECTS Dennis!

Dennis throws a fit but fans taunt him with “Nana na na! Nana na na! Hey hey hey! Good-bye~!” But then Tyson T-Bone gets in to DOUBLE LARIAT Bate and Starz! And BLAST Carter & Smith! And BOOT Seven! Mastiff gets in but T-Bone scoops him!? For a FALL AWAY SLAM!? The King of the Travelers just send Mastiff on a trip! And then he fires off heavy hands on Bate! T-Bone bumps Bate off buckles in the Symbiosis corner, then officially tags himself in off Bate! T-Bone shoves Bate away then drags Starz over to tag in Primate. Symbiosis whip Starz into buckles then throw him down for the DOUBLE STOMP! Cover, TWO! Primate grows frustrated but he tags T-Bone back in.

Bate runs in, T-Bone dodges but Bate hits Primate! T-Bone gets Bate for an EXPLODER! Starz tags Carter in and the Predator Killer rallies on T-Bone! They fire off hands back and forth, Carter gets the edge but T-Bone shoves him. Smith tags in, Carter misdirects T-Bone and Smith ROCKS him! They both fire off hands and CHOPS, then double whip. T-Bone kicks Smith away, blocks Carter’s kick and throws it at Smith, but Smith catches it to flip Carter for a BIG Scorpion Ax Kick! T-Bone staggers into a SUPERKICK! Seven tags in off T-Bone, dodges Smith and shoves him into the corner. CHOP for Smith!

Carter runs in, dodges Seven, jumps off Smith to go over Seven, Seven runs into Smith’s body shot! Carter comes back to DOUBLE KNEE Seven into the buckles, and Smith fires up to LARIAT! They work together again, assisted MOONSAULT! Cover but Mastiff barrels in to break it! Mastiff throws Carter out hard, Seven tags Bate! Carter SUPERKICKS Mastiff but Mastiff falls on Carter! Smith brawls with Bate, EuroUppers back and forth! Bate backs Smith down, Primate tags in off Smith but Smith DECKS him! Bate dodges Smith and they keep brawling with EuroUppers! Bate throws fast hands, Smith shoves to BOOT! Down goes Bate and he bails out!

Smith checks his face while Seven goes up top!? But Smith goes after Seven first! Smith climbs up, they brawl up top, and there’s a crowd forming at the ramp! T-Bone joins in to go after Seven! T-Bone SHOVES Seven onto the others on the outside! SUPERPLEX to Smith!! Fans are fired up for “NXT! NXT!” as Primate sees an opening! He springboards to CROSSBODY the cluster at the ramp! Primate roars, bangs the steps, and puts Bate back in for T-Bone! Bate slips out of the scoop to ROCK T-Bone! Primate clotheslines Bate in the corner, then hits Seven in the other! Primate dodges Bate to CROSSBODY, but Bate rolls through with that Big Strong Boy energy!

Bate pops Primate up to a AIRPLANE SPIN! Starz gets in but Bate trips him up! Bate adds Starz on, and Cesaro would be proud of this AIRPLANE SPIN SWING COMBO! Bate only goes about half a dozen rotations, through, before he DUMPS Primate on Starz! Then he dead lift GERMAN SUPLEXES Primate away! Mastiff drops the SENTON on the bridging cover! Mastiff gets Primate up to the corner and tags himself in! Bate is in a corner,. Mastiff takes aim but he has to CLOBBER T-Bone first! Seven BACK HANDS Mastiff, but Starz POWERBOMBS Seven! Starz is roaring but Primate drags him out to RAM him into steel steps!

Carter tags in off Bate and climbs. Mastiff rushes over to throw body shots! Mastiff climbs but Smith joins in! Smith Electric Chair Lifts Mastiff?! Carter springboards, DOOMSDAY CUTTER!!! Cover, but Primate DIVING HEADBUTTS it apart!! Carter writhes, Primate crawls, T-Bone RAMS Smith into barriers! T-Bone tags in of Mastiff, fans declare “This is Awesome!” as Bate tags in then DECKS Carter! Bate springboards but into T-Bone’s grip! Tag to Primate, POWERSLAM to DIVING HEADBUTT FLOP! Mastiff drags out T-Bone, Bate REBOUND LARIATS! Tag to Seven, Bate DIVES to take out Mastiff and T-Bone! SEVEN STAR LARIAT! Cover, TWO?!!

Seven calls to Bate and tags him back in! Seven gets Primate up, Bate is up, KNEE DROP BIRMINGHAMMER!! Cover, Moustache Mountain wins!!!

Winners: Moustache Mountain, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contenders to the NXT UK Tag Team Championships)

All the other teams can’t believe it, but that’s the fury and chaos of a Fatal 4! But Pretty Deadly walk out to once again sarcastically applaud Seven & Bate. Will the dandy highwaymen keep the titles and keep the UK Tag Division #PrettyDeadlySerious? Or will Moustache Mountain make history by being the first team to hold both US and UK tag titles in NXT?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for NXT UK, again with just three matches but all great stuff. Frazer VS Andrews was a great opener, real fast and real fun. For just a second, I thought Frazer was winning but what a great little turnaround on the end there. Frazer was still in good spirits and this was a great Face VS Face that RawDown (and I suppose NXT, too) hardly ever does. We got a really good little encounter of Gradwell and A-Kid, that will be a really fun match. Pretty Deadly are definitely becoming big stars within just the UK realm, this “Pretty Deadly Serious” thing could at least get some more casual UK fans into pro-wrestling.

I like the idea that Kenny Williams was doing Sharpie graffiti to talk trash on Sha Samuels given how Sha helped Dar cheat Kenny in the Heritage Cup Contender’s Tournament, and we’re clearly getting Williams VS Huxley for a match. Luna VS Turner was a solid match, and I was a bit surprised Luna won. I thought Turner was going to get some kinda small push since she’s a Heel and the champion, Meiko Satomura, is Face. But it looks like Luna VS Davenport is going to be a way for Davenport to get up in the rankings towards Meiko. Luna VS Davenport oughta be a great match, too. Luna’s got great power, but Davenport has a bit of that, as well, that could be a great opener.

Nina’s “talk show” continues to set up matches, and I’m thinking Aleah James gets her second win in NXT UK off Nina just to make Nina eat her words. I like that we got another of these theatrical, cinematic promos from Gallus, and how they’re subtly keeping up the idea that Gallus is like Scottish mafia or something. And we got an awesome Fatal 4 Way tag. Everyone looked great in this, they did a great job with the blind tags and other-team-tags, they did a great job with keeping it fast and wild, and honestly, what a surprise that Moustache Mountain won here.

I thought one of the other Face teams, like Carter & Smith or Starz & Mastiff, was getting this, but Moustache Mountain getting one more chance is definitely going to get more eyes on this. I still lean towards Moustache Mountain losing again, and that could be a make or break moment for the team. As I said last week, I don’t really want Bate VS Seven as a story, but it feels like that’s where we’re going with this. Well, whatever way they go with this, NXT UK will make it great.

My Score: 8.5/10

Slammiversary Fallout! Where do things go on the way to Victory Road?

Published

on

Well now we start the fall out of Slammiversary. Josh Alexander in his bad bitch summer, X-Speedball legacy, ABC got the t-a-g and Jordynne is still in charge of the Knockouts division. Like I said at the end of Slammiversary, all of the champions being Babyfaces is stupid. They need to drop a couple titles fairly quickly, because I don’t care what some people say, Nic Nemeth ain’t gonna bring any eyes to the brand. He’s about as hot as day old Hamburger Helper over a camping sterno.

We’ll probably open with the luke warm champion, so tune in like 10 minutes late for anything of substance to be happen.

https://x.com/i/status/1816629254349533588

Ratings:

  • Steve Maclin vs Cody Deaner: Maclin wins via KIA – *
  • AJ Francis w/Rich Swann & Josh Bishop vs Sami Callihan: AJ wins via Down Payment – **
  • Hammer Your ASH (ASH by Elegance & Alexander Hammerstone) vs JuggerYoung (Jordynne Grace & Eric Young): Hammer Your ASH wins via Torture Rack – ** 1/2
  • The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & JDC) w/Alisha Edwards vs Matt Hardy & The ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey): Broken Alphabet wins via Twist & Splash – ***

Results:

Nemeth gives the ole “I’ll be a fighting champion…blah blah” promo and drops the “any company” line that we’ve already understood what that means. Campaign Singh cuts him off…and I never thought I’d be happy for Campaign Singh to walk out and say anything…ever. And…Mustafa’s promo is worse than Dolph’s. He’s gone from parody to caricature even saying “it was the biggest screw job Montreal ever saw”. Like some of these lines are cheap heat, but most are just brain dead comments that wouldn’t get a reaction out of anyone (and the crowd was silent for that comment). Mustafa gets caught in an Archer “phrasing” moment about getting screwed hard, but this is painful. Promos written by 14 year olds everyone…

This ends with Ali challenging Nemeth for the World Title. While I’m not against walk up challenges, I watch Japanese wrestling, I don’t really get the point aside from doing it just to do it.

ABC and Matt Hardy have a small promo, and I’m still not really a fan of Unbroken Matt Version 6.0. The floating between Broken voice and his normal voice sounds amateurish.

OH LOOK, finally a match 20 minutes into the show. And it’s my son Steve Maclin! OH CHRIST he’s facing Deaner. This has been 25 minutes of talking followed by the worst god damn attempt at a gimmick. Deaner’s little “Papa Santino told me I can wipe my ass only if the crowd agrees”. This gimmick should die in a fire.

Steve Maclin vs Cody Deaner

Deaner started off quick because Maclin was in disbelief that Deaner was actually gonna fight him. Maclin dodges a Crossbody, Busaiku Knee, and just starts beating on Deaner for fun. And this is fun, maybe Maclin can make sure Deaner gets stretchered out and written off forever. How do you call for an ambulance in French? Maclin with the old Back Breaker into a stretch. Deaner tries to nerd rage up, breaks the Back Breaker Stretch, his punch combo, into a Manhattan Drop and Bulldog. Deaner hits the Crossbody, but Maclin kicks out. This is entirely too competitive.

Deaner goes for the Deaner DDT, blocked, Olympic Slam into Splashing Deaner into the corner, Caught in the Crosshairs, K-I-A, thanks for coming you damn dweeb. Stay in Canada and don’t travel Deaner, please.

https://x.com/i/status/1816633784537874761

AJ Francis w/Rich Swann & Josh Bishop vs Sami Callihan

As the bell sounds, Sami knocks Rich off the apron, Low Bridges AJ, does the Beats of the Bodhran on AJ and then AJ eats the offense and strategizes with his crew. Bishop and Rich swarm the ring, Sami allows himself to get distracted so AJ slides in and starts beating on Sami. AJ throats Sami across the middle rope and Rich makes his presence felt, AJ distracts the referee and Rich gets in a lot of cheap shots. Bishop throws Sami back in the ring, and AJ keeps up the pressure. Lots of 5 count chokes and leverage moves. After the commercial break ends, Sami dodges a Tennessee Whiskey Knee, gets in a few shots before Rich trips Sami as he’s setting up a Dive, and then AJ takes advantage of the position and hits the goofball knee strike.

AJ calls for his Chokeslam, Sami tries to break it with Axe Handles, then claws the eyes. Sami goes for a Scoop Slam, gets him part way up and then falls over. AJ Chokeslam again, but he bites his hand and starts fighting back. Launches himself at AJ, sends him bouncing off the ropes and uses the momentum to hit that Scoop Slam that was teased earlier. Sami goes for a Western Lariat but eats a Big Boot. AJ does a little Hulk Hogan pose to signal a Leg Drop, but Sami dodges and then connects on a Sliding Lariat. Thumbs Up, Thumbs….interference. Rich distracts the ref, Bishop lays out Sami, AJ connects with the Down Payment.

Hammer Your ASH (ASH by Elegance & Alexander Hammerstone) vs JuggerYoung (Jordynne Grace & Eric Young)

ASH and Jordynne exchange slaps and then Jordynne starts to out muscle ASH. Spinebuster from Jordynne, Juggernaut Driver attempt, but ASH fights off, rope run, Sattelite DDT into both tagging out. EY does the Flair corner flop, slides back in between Hammer’s legs, and connects on a Neckbreaker. EY is the quicker of the two, but Hammer finally gets his hands on him and a Release Belly to Belly into a full mount raining of fists, then a near fall. Hammer smashes EY in a corner, Arm Wringer into an Irish Whip across, but EY moves and Hammer tags out to ASH. ASH levels Jordynne, peppers EY with a few shots and pulls him back to their corner and starts some tandem offense with Hammerman. Hammer Guerilla Presses ASH and throws her into EY for a near fall. Hammer looks to aim for either a Powerbomb or Nightmare Pendulum, but EY drops it into a Small Package, pinfall kick out, they both run, Double Lariat spot. The Knockouts get tagged in.

Jordynne is in control early, World’s Strongest Slam into a Vader Bomb. Juggernaut Driver attempt, but ASH fights it off and tags out to Hammer. Jordynne and EY do some schoolyard stuff with the old Push while Jordynne is down to trip Hammer. All four get in, ASH gets leveled, EY gets leveled, Hammer and Jordynne have a brief face off, but Hammer throws Jordynne to the apron and ASH connects with a Meteora from the apron. Death Valley Driver from Young on Hammer, ASH stares in shock, EY tells her to get, ASH runs away. EY goes up for his Macho Elbow, and ASH causes him to fall to Hammer’s feet, Torture Rack, and EY submits.

Josh Alexander comes out, with new heel music. And it’s not that bad, definitely better than some other people’s new music. Josh yells at the crowd a bit, says he can’t wait til he’s back in a real Canadian town, like his home of Toronto. Then he drops the mic in lieu of an explanation. The crowd chants him off with the “Nah Nah Nah Nah, Hey Hey Hey”.

https://x.com/i/status/1816647373654724937

The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & JDC) w/Alisha Edwards vs Matt Hardy & The ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey)

JDC and Hardy start, but JDC quickly tags out to Myers and that doesn’t go well. Hardy grabs a hold of Myers, a few Delete chops, drags him to his corner and they all get in a few shots punctuated with Hardy getting tagged back in and an Elbow into Myers’ extended and worked on left arm. Myers stays isolated, back into the corner, Boot to the gut, Ace tags in and wallops Myers. Ace connects on Double Kicks, into Russian Leg Sweep and his half of Click Click Boom, for a 2 count. Myers finally gets free with a Jaw Breaker and tags out to Eddie. But The System gets no momentum, Ace stifles Eddie’s offense and starts a few quick tags with him and Bey for tandem offense. Moose finally comes down the ramp as Eddie kicked out of yet another pinfall attempt because The System has had nothing going for them. Eddie finally gets some offense since Moose was a big enough distraction.

Eddie thinks they have a spot, so he tags back in JDC, but The ABC stop him cold, tag in Matt Hardy, and Matt walks down JDC, but JDC Low Bridges. Matt is on the outside, so all of The System surrounds Hardy, then Joe Hendry’s music hits! That stops the heel beatdown, and we follow Hendry’s entire entrance. So that proves Hendry is bigger than the 8 other people in this frame. Not really sure if that’s optics you want to push along. Ace and JDC try to remind people there’s wrestling going on, but JDC thumbs the eye to get a little something going. Vertical Suplex for a near fall, tag out for Eddie and Eddie lights up Ace with some of those NOAH Chops. Ace retreats to the ropes and Alisha chokes him with the ropes while the ref is distracted.

Myers gets tagged in, Ace tries to use the crowd energy, Myers stops it at first but then Ace slips a Scoop Slam and tags out to Bey. Hot tag, strike rush, Double Stomp, educated feet, Leap Frog to the corner but Lish climbs on the apron and yells at Bey which stops his rhythm. Myers kicks his feet out and causes Bey to crash. Eddie tags in for a few shots, then to JDC and Slingshot Knees, Wringer Snapmare, Bow and Arrow Submission, and JDC is just doing solid wrestling work right now. Uppercut between the Shoulder Blades as Bey tries to get out, tag to Myers and Bey is still eating offense. Eddie tags in, Bey tries the Sunset Flip, but Eddie tags out before going over, so Myers folds up Bey for a near fall and then tags out to JDC who connects on a Standing Suplex, slams Bey’s face into the corner, Eddie tags in, and Bey finally fights up to his feet, Eddie just flatten Bey’s comeback, tries a Tiger Driver but eats an Enzuigiri for a simultaneous tag. JDC and Hardy come in, JDC tries to exit halfway in, but Hardy is wrecking shop. He disposes of Eddie, Myers slides in but eats a tandem Neckbreaker/DDT from Hardy. Face team does the Delete Corner Face Smashes. Poetry in Motion into a Side Effect into Corkscrew Swanton for only 2 since Myers breaks it up! Everyone throwing hands, referee is distracted, Moose comes in to Spear Hardy, but Hardy dodges and throws him into JDC (I get the call back), Hendry then lays out Moose with the big Lariat. Twist of Fate from Hardy, Splash from Bey, Broken Alphabet wins!

Overall Score: 4/10

Ugh, cliche promos, too damn much talking, a competitive squash match with an imbecile as our first “match”, into an overbooked and slow heel match, finally a decent tag match (with the right team going over), into another overbooked match with a “tease” for the mystery backup being more obvious than Jericho’s WWF debut.

Aside from the afore mentioned tag match, The Rascalz promo and The System Promo; this was hard to watch. A lot of cornball promos, Rosemary licks her conspiracy board, storylines got zero traction. Whoopity Doo, Ryan Nemeth got a match next week and we get an undead wedding.

While this was a bad episode, it was bad by at least new standards. We’re not back in the TNA Dark Days again, but this was…a useless show.
