Zero Hour – ROH World Championship: Eddie Kingston VS Jay Lethal w/ Team Triple J!

The Mad King has been putting in the work, both in ROH and NJPW, not that it matters to Team Triple J. They all claim Eddie’s been ducking and hiding, but now there’s no running from the fight they picked with him! Will Eddie teach Lethal a lesson about being careful what you wish for? Or will Lethal finally be world champion again?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who leads ROH!

Fans rally up for Eddie already as the Code of Honor is tensely upheld. The two circle, feel things out, then tie up. Lethal waistlocks, headlocks, but Eddie powers up and out. Lethal runs Eddie over, things speed up, btu then Lethal headlocks again. Eddie endures the grind, powers Lethal to a corner, and the ref counts. Lethal and Eddie let off, but Lethal pie faces! So Eddie fires off fast hands! And a CHOP! Eddie whips corner to corner, Lethal reverses but runs into an elbow! STO! Cover, ONE!! Eddie keeps cool as he clamps onto Lethal. Lethal fights the chinlock, has a leg and trips Eddie. Lethal steps through but Eddie boots him into buckles!

Lethal staggers, and Eddie clotheslines him up and out! Fans fire up but Triple J gathers around Lethal to protect him while egging Eddie on. Eddie stays back and flips them off, he has Champion’s Advantage. Lethal rushes in, but into a CHOP! Fans “WOO~!” and Karen panics. Lethal CHOPS, but Eddie CHOPS back! Lethal CHOPS again, Eddie CHOPS again, repeat! Fans “WOO~!” with every CHOP! Eddie gets the edge, CHOPS Lethal out of the ring, but Lethal drags Eddie out of the ring to POST him! Triple J coaches Lethal on while he’s stinging, and Lethal rains down fists! Lethal refreshes the ring count, and Jeff Jarrett gets a cheap shot in!

Fans boo but the Last Outlaw gets away with it. Then he, Lethal and even Sonjay strut their stuff. The fans boo these Jackie Fargo wannabes, and Eddie gets in the ring. Lethal bumps Eddie off buckles, CHOKES him on ropes, but lets off to argue with the ref. Sonjay gets a shot in! Fans boo but Sonjay and his salmon pink suit scurry away. Lethal stomps Eddie, but Eddie throws body shots. Lethal throws knees and he CLUBS Eddie down, then drags him back up. Lethal reels Eddie in to snap suplex! Cover, ONE!! Lethal clamps onto Eddie for another cover, TWO! Lethal stomps Eddie, fans rally behind Eddie, and Eddie CHOPS!

Lethal snapmares Eddie, clamps onto a chinlock, but Eddie endures. Eddie fights up, throws body shots and then CHOPS! Eddie whips, runs in at the corner, but Lethal OVERHEAD SUPLEXES him into buckles! Triple J cheers but fans boo as Lethal storms up on Eddie. Cover, TWO! Eddie is still in this but Lethal stomps him around. Lethal then clamps on with another chinlock. Eddie endures, Sonjay says that’s real pro-wrestling, and he gets on Schiavone’s nerves. Lethal throws down punches and keeps Eddie down. Lethal stands Eddie up to CHOP! Eddie sputters, but he flips Lethal off. Lethal stands Eddie up again to CHOP again!

Eddie wobbles, Lethal CHOPS him again! Lethal runs, but Eddie swats the lariat to clinch, EXPLODER! Fans fire up while both men are down! Eddie and Lethal flounder, Lethal going to a corner. Jarrett has his guitar in hand, but Eddie storms up to clothesline Lethal! And then MACHINE GUN CHOPS! Eddie CHOPS Lethal into sitting down, then he goes side to side to BOOT WASH! Cover, TWO! Lethal stays in this but Eddie snarls. Eddie drags Lethal up, reels him in, but Lethal fights with elbows. Lethal claws the eyes, then clinches to LETHAL COMBINATION! Fans boo, Jarrett gets on the apron, but the ref has Jarrett get down.

Lethal goes up a corner, Karen cheers as he stands, MACHO ELBOW but he sees Eddie’s boots! Lethal has the legs, Eddie rolls it back! TWO!! BOOT! ENZIGURI! Lethal hurries up again, MACHO ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Eddie survives and Triple J is furious! Karen complains, but Jeff coaches Lethal on. Lethal waits on Eddie to rise up, handspring, but Eddie catches Lethal to a SAIDO! Lethal staggers around, into an URENAGE! And then Eddie powers up! Sonjay gets on the apron, Eddie DECKS him into Jeff! Lethal gets up, he and Eddie DOUBLE LARIAT! But both men stay up! So they DOUBLE LARIAT again, and they fall!

Fans fire up as the two rise, but Karen gets on the apron. Satnam, too! They argue with the ref, Lethal goes for Jarrett’s guitar! But Eddie keeps Lethal back! Lethal SMACKS Eddie off the mat, Eddie CLAWS Lethal’s face! ORTIZ is here! He takes the guitar away from Lethal! Fans cheer, and Ortiz SMASH HITS Sonjay!! That’s what he gets! Lethal is shocked, he kicks Eddie and whips, but Eddie reverses. Lethal handsprings, but into the HALF ‘N’ HALF! URAKEN!! Cover, EDDIE WINS!

Winner: Eddie Kingston, by pinfall (still ROH World Champion)

Triple J is shocked, but they forgot Eddie has friends! Ortiz and Eddie fist bump while Triple J leaves, tails tucked between their legs. Eddie gets a mic real quick to welcome us to the preshow! Zero Hour – Claudio Castagnoli VS Buddy Matthews!

This match was only just put together last night, but it’s been a long time coming. The House of Black tried to pick a fight with the Blackpool Combat Club, so here’s a fight for them! Will the Swiss Superman take down the Aussie Juggernaut here in Hollywood?

The bell rings and the two step up. They stare down as the fans rally up. Buddy throws his jacket at Claudio and then fires off shots! Buddy backs Claudio down to a corner, stomps away, but the ref backs him off. Fans rally up and Claudio stands, to UPPERCUT! And UPPERCUT! And KNEE, KNEE and KNEE! Then UPPERCUT again! Claudio roars, fans fire up, and Claudio whips. Buddy holds ropes, BOOTS back, but Claudio trips him! Fans fire up but Buddy boots him away! Buddy bails out, fans boo, but Claudio pursues. Buddy RAMS Claudio into the apron! And then into railing! Buddy CHOPS, then whips Claudio, only for Claudio to reverse!

Buddy hits railing hard, Claudio runs in to UPPERCUT him down! The ring count climbs, Claudio whips Buddy into more railing! And then another UPPERCUT! Fans fire up as Claudio puts Buddy in, storms back into the ring, but then Buddy bails back out. Claudio goes out and runs in around the way, but Buddy CLOBBERS him first! And then V-TRIGGERS him down! Fans fire up while both men are down, and Buddy shakes out his legs. Buddy puts Claudio back into the ring, climbs a corner, and then leaps, FLYING METEORA! Cover, TWO! Claudio hangs tough but Buddy clamps on a chinlock.

Buddy leans on the hold, grinds Claudio down, but Claudio endures. Claudio fights around as fans rally, and he fights to his feet. Buddy is a backpack as Claudio RAMS him into buckles! Buddy holds on, but Claudio RAMS him in again! Buddy still holds on, fans rally up, and Claudio drops to his knees! Fans rally more, Claudio fights up and powers out, and catches Buddy to a sleeper! Buddy powers out, sleepers again, but Claudio back suplexes! Buddy lands on his feet! Claudio runs, but into a BOOT! Claudio UPPERCUTS in return! Buddy V-TRIGGERS! Claudio DISCUS LARIATS! Fans fire up while both men are down!

Buddy and Claudio slowly rise up, and Buddy goes to a corner. Claudio roars and runs in to UPPERCUT! And UPPERCUT, UPPERCUT and UPPERCUT! The ref counts, he backs Claudio down, but Claudio jukes to UPPERCUT! Claudio runs to BOOT Buddy down! The fans fire up as Claudio has the legs! But Buddy kicks Claudio away! Claudio trips Buddy, has the legs, but Buddy twists to victory roll! TWO, and Claudio POP-UP UPPERCUTS! Cover, TWO!! Buddy survives and Claudio grows frustrated. Claudio drags Buddy up, reels him in, Gotch- NO, Buddy back drops! But Claudio lands on his feet! And BOOTS!

Buddy BOOTS back, goes up the corner and leaps, but Claudio catches him! GIANT SWING!! Fans are thunderous as Buddy goes around and around and around! Claudio goes past TEN to throw Buddy at FIFTEEN! Cover, TWO!! Buddy survives again but Claudio stalks him to a corner. Claudio kicks Buddy around, Buddy goes to the apron, but Claudio slingshots out to STOMP him! Claudio then goes back in, drags Buddy up the ropes, and deadlifts him to the top! But Buddy fights the rest of the superplex! Buddy and Claudio throw hands, Claudio HEADBUTTS, and HEADBUTTS, and HEADBUTTS again!

Claudio fires more and more HEADBUTTS, but Buddy slips under! Tuck and CHEEKY NANDOS! Fans fire up and Buddy CHEEKY NANDOS again, and again! And then POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO! But Buddy has Claudio for a deadlift JACKHAMMER! Cover, TWO!! Into a CROSSFACE!! Buddy pulls on Claudio’s head and neck but Claudio endures! Fans rally, Claudio fights around, but Buddy shifts to HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOW! Buddy uses a BCC move on a member of the BCC! Claudio endures, fights up, and he fireman’s carries! Claudio snarls as he hits the T K O! Fans fire up and Claudio runs, to UPPERCUT!! Cover, TWO!!!

But Claudio has Buddy up again, another UPPERCUT! Then he reels Buddy in, has the arms, RICOLA BOMB!! And then a step through, to the SHARPSHOOTER!! Shoutout to Tyson Kidd and the Hitman! Buddy endures, reaches out, fights his way up and forward, but Claudio drags him away!! BUDDY TAPS, CLAUDIO WINS!

The Swiss Superman has evened things up between BCC and House of Black! But as Buddy stands back up, he steps forward. He considers offering, but then chooses not to offer the handshake. Claudio says fine, you can’t see him! But will this battle between the factions continue as AEW enters the inaugural Continental Classic?

 

Zero Hour – ROH World Tag Team Championships: MJF & Samoa Joe VS The Gunns!

There’s some irony to how this match came about. Maxwell Jacob Friedman won these belts alongside Adam Cole, but Colle running to ringside to coach MJF in his AEW World Championship match against Samoa Joe is what got him hurt. And now to have a chance of getting past Austin & Colten, MJF teams with Joe, with an AEW World Championship match down the line as part of the deal. Will M-Joe-F tear down the Ass Boys so that tonight’s main event will be a fair fight?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see how The Devil’s deal with Joe pays off!

The teams sort out and MJF starts against Colten. The fans rally up for MJF as Colten eggs him on. MJF DECKS Colten! And then he stomps away in a corner! Austin runs up, MJF DECKS him, then goes back to stomp Colten! MJF digs his boots in, lets off as the ref counts, and the fans cheer. Colten gets up to kick MJF, headlock, but MJF endures the grind. The fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS!” and MJF slips out the back. MJF headlocks, Colten powers out, but MJF ducks ‘n’ dodges and then stops himself. MJF SPITS at Austin, and struts all over Colten! Fans cheer as MJF swivels the hips, but then both Gunns CLOBBER him!

The Gunns put MJF in a corner, they stomp away, then double whip. Joe takes the bump for MJF and even MJF is surprised! The Gunns don’t realize it, until MJF DOUBLE LARIATS them down! The fans cheer, MJF tells Joe he doesn’t need the help, but then Joe tags in. MJF gets in Joe’s face, but Joe says relax. The Gunns get up, MJoeF DECK them both! And then Joe DIVES to take the Gunns out! Fans fire up and Joe dusts himself off. Fans cheer and Joe gives MJF a thumbs up. Joe puts Austin in, then Colten. Joe storms in, Austin distracts him, and Colten DROP- NOPE, Joe just moves aside. Then Joe SENTONS!

Fans fire up and Joe JABS, JABS, and JABS! Joe whips Colten to a corner, runs in to back elbow and PELE! Colten flops down and fans fire up as Joe strikes a Hadoken pose. Joe drags Colten over, tags MJF in, and fans cheer. But then Austin swipes at MJF! Colten CLOBBERS MJF, drags him over and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Austin and Austin stomps away on MJF! The fans taunt Austin but he stomps MJF down. Austin puts MJF back in the corner, tags in Colten, and they double whip MJF to ropes. They call for the double clothesline, but then they double elbow! Austin taunts the fans, Colten covers, ONE!

Colten tags Austin back in, the Gunns mug MJF, and Austin snapmares to then mock MJF’s posing. Austin clamps on a chinlock and he grinds MJF down. Fans rally as MJF endures and fights back up. MJF stands, throws body shots, and reaches out. Austin keeps MJF back, but MJF throws hands! MJF keeps reaching, but Austin knees low! Austin whips, MJF reverses and TOSSES Austin out! Colten tags in to keep MJF back! Colten whips, MJF reverses, but Colten slides out and calls to Austin. The Gunns both slide in to keep MJF from Joe! Colten feeds MJF to an ELBOW, then taunts Joe. Tag back to Austin and Austin sends Colten in, but MJF avoids the splash!

Colten tumbles out of the ring, MJF baits Austin in, and then MJF TOSSES Austin! Fans fire up as MJF crawls, but the Gunns both slide in! They get in the way, but MJF ducks the elbows to hot tag Joe! Joe rallies on the Gunns! Atomic drop and a BOOT for Colten! Austin is up, he gets the POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Joe drags Austin up to bump him off buckles, then he puts Austin up top. MJF tags in and he says he’s gonna Muscle Buster! MJF tucks Austin, brings him out, but Colten DROPKICKS MJF! Austin DECKS Joe, then hurries to tag Colten in. The Gunns call their shot, they whip, but MJF stops the 3:10 to DOUBLE DDT!!

Fans fire up as MJF kips up! Fans are thunderous as MJF hits the Kangaroo Stance! But then MJF tags in! Fans boo but Joe says relax. MJF and Joe then decide to do this together! They get the Gunns up on opposite corners, for a DOUBLE MUSCLE- NO, The Gunns slip out and send MJoeF into each other! Colten DECKS MJF, dodges Joe, and 3:10 TO YUMA ON JOE!!! Cover, but MJF YANKS Colten outta the ring! MJF rains down fists and he stomps Colten! Austin runs out but MJF fires hands on him! Colten CLUBS MJF, Austin CLUBS MJF, and the Gunns SMACK MJF off the steel steps!

The Gunns get back in, they reload as Joe stands up, but then Joe flops over. And then ADAM COLE is here?! Fans are thunderous as Cole, even on crutches, makes his way to ringside! And then Joe snatches Colten, COQUINA CLUTCH!! MJF drags Austin out, Colten taps! MJoeF wins!!

Winners: MJF & Samoa Joe, by submission (MJF & Adam Cole retain the titles)

And MJF hugs Cole in celebration! Even on a bad leg, the Panama City Playboy helped his brochacho win! But then Joe makes sure MJF remembers: Joe’s got next. MJF says that’s fine, and they shake hands. Will MJF make it past Jay White, past Full Gear and past the 365 day mark as champion to then face Samoa Joe down the line?

Wait, the Gunns attack MJF! They’re sore losers! Fans boo, and Cole can’t do anything because he’s not 100%! Austin goes looking under the ring, and he gets a chair! Colten drags MJF around, and isolates a leg! Austin wants Cole to watch this! SMASH to the leg! Fans boo but Austin SMASHES the leg again!! Cole is furious but the Gunns aren’t done! They put the leg in the chair, and Austin goes up! Austin DIVING STOMPS the chair!!! MJF’s leg could be as broken as Cole’s! The ref has medics hurry out here and they check on MJF. MJF shouts and groans in pain and a stretcher is brought out!

The medical team gets MJF onto the stretcher, and now the state of tonight’s main event is in question. MJF wants Cole to keep them from taking his belt! Promise! PROMISE! Cole promises! The ambulance takes MJF away, but what can Cole do? What can anyone do? Did the Gunns just make sure Jay White wins via forfeit tonight?

Six Man Tag: Darby Allin, Sting & Adam “Edge” Copeland w/ Ric Flair VS Christian Cage, Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne!

The #RatedRelentlessIcons all have bones to pick with Captain Charisma’s crew, and they’re all hoping to put an end to this grudge. But will Darby, Sting & Edge be able to tear down “The Patriarchy?” Or will the TNT Champion, his Right Hand of Destruction and “adopted son” celebrate this win as a family?

But while the self-proclaimed “inspirational, wise, selfless, loved, courageous, generous, compassionate, respected, sacrificing, devoted” and best father in the world has the “Ernie McCracken Unified Fund” choir singing his song, The Nature Boy is here to be with Sting in his homestretch to retirement! And speaking of, Sting, Darby and Edge all have face paint, duster jackets and baseball bats, showing complete unity going into this match. The fans sing Edge’s song for him, and Edge applauds them. The trios sort out, and Christian has Nick start against Darby. Christian gives his “son” a hug and Nick circles with Darby. They tie up, and Darby powers Nick to a corner.

Darby digs forearms into Nick, lets off as the ref counts, but Nick cheap shots Darby! Nick headlocks, hits a takeover, but Darby keeps his shoulders up. Fans rally up and taunt Nick, “Who’s Your Daddy?” Darby wrenches out and wristlocks to then wrangle Nick down. Darby steps over and MONKEY FLIPS Nick, but keeps the wristlock. Fans rally behind Darby, Nick kips up but Darby smothers him with a headlock. Nick fights up, powers out but Darby rolls. Darby sidesteps, Nick whips, but Darby springboards to FLYING ARM-DRAG! Darby arm-drags again, and fans cheer as he keeps the armlock!

Darby drags Nick up, wrenches, and he brings Nick over to tag Sting! Fans fire up as the Icon YANKS Nick down! Sting TOSSES Nick out hard, then goes out after Nick to drag him up and whip him into railing hard! Nick tumbles down, fans fire up and Sting shrugs. Sting tosses Nick back in, but Nick scrambles to tag in Christian! Fans fire up because Sting points to Edge! Edge reaches out, tag to Edge! The former tag partners stare down and Edge says Christian wanted this! Fans are losing their minds already, but of course Christian tags out to Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus and Edge circle, and they approach.

Edge fires off forearms, runs, but into both hands! Luchasaurus TOSSES Edge to a corner, then fires off hands and DECKS Edge! Christian talks trash safe from his corner, and Luchasaurus whips Edge corner to corner. Luchasaurus runs in to clothesline Edge down. Luchasaurus whips, Edge kicks back, but runs into a choke grip! Edge slips free to RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Fans fire up as Edge runs to SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Tag to Darby and Darby runs up, but into Luchasaurus’ hands! Luchasaurus TOSSES Darby but Darby BOOTS him back! Darby sunset flips but Luchasaurus stays up!

Luchasaurus hauls Darby up, but Darby pries the choke grip. So Luchasaurus UPPERCUTS! And choke grips again, to JURASSIC- NO, Darby slips free! But Christian HOTSHOTS Darby back! Sting & Edge protest but the ref keeps them back. Luchasaurus then goes to ropes, APRON CHOKE SLAM!! Darby falls to the floor and Edge hurries to check on him. Luchasaurus storms out to fetch Darby, staring Ric down. Luchasaurus puts Darby in the ring, stands on him and stomps him down! Luchasaurus puts Darby in the corner, digs his boot in, and tags in Christian. Fans boo as Christian stomps away on Darby.

Christian stands on Darby, the ref counts, then Christian steps away. Christian flexes but fans boo more. Christian stomps Darby, gets in the ref’s face, and then stomps Darby at the ropes. Christian drags Darby up, fans taunt the “TURTLENECK! TURTLENECK!” Christian snapmares and then claws Darby’s face, to then stomp him down. Tag to Nick and they mug Darby. Nick digs his boot into Darby’s face and then flexes on him. Fans boo, but Nick stomps Darby, then KICKS him in the back! Cover, ONE!! Darby hangs tough but Nick whips him to ropes. Nick then scoops Darby for a BACKBREAKER!

Fans boo as Nick mocks Ric with the strut, then a middle finger! Nick drags Darby up, tags Luchasaurus, and they mug Darby now. Luchasaurus CHOPS Darby, then CHOPS him again and again and again! Luchasaurus scoops Darby, tags Nick back in, and then SIDEWALK SLAM and slingshot SENTON! Cover, TWO! Fans rally for Darby, Nick steps to Edge but Edge doesn’t flinch. Nick drags Darby up to whip him to the corner, but Darby BLASTS Christian! And HOTSHOTS Luchasaurus! Nick runs in but Darby BOOTS him away! Darby goes up but Nick UPPERCUTS! Nick then climbs up after Darby!

Fans boo but Darby fights the superplex. Darby BITES Nick’s hand! Then he dribbles Nick’s head off buckles! Darby hops up, to SUPER SUNSET BOMB!! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous! Darby and Nick stir, a standing count climbs, and the fans rally up. The count is 5 of 10, Darby and Nick start crawling. The count is 8, but Christian sneaks around to YANK Edge down! Christian POSTS Edge, but Sting chases him off! They go around, Luchasaurus CLOBBERS Sting! That stops the count, and Nick tags Christian! Christian dares Darby to tag but there’s no one there for him!

Christian drags Darby back, puts him in an open corner, and CHOPS! Darby SLAPS back so Christian CHOPS again! Christian whips corner to corner hard and Darby flops in the corner! White pretends to be shocked as Schiavone says the match of MJF VS White has been canceled.

So now, by default, your NEW AEW World Champion- WAIT! Adam Cole is coming back out here?! Schiavone asks what this is about, and even White is a little confused. Cole tells White that there is not a shot in hell White leaves here with MJF’s world title. Cole made a promise to his friend and intends on keeping it. So much so, he already talked with Tony Khan. If MJF can’t defend the world title, then dammit, Cole will do it for him! White laughs, but Cole says even on one leg, the main event is now Jay White VS ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!! White is laughing even harder and no one else can believe it!

White says his good friend, Adam Cole, BAYBAY! But Adam, Adam, Adam. You must’ve hit your head, too. Don’t you remember? Or do you have a hard time remembering after that concussion? Well, White will refresh him: White took Cole out once before, wearing these exact pants, actually. And if Cole wants to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong, then fine! White will take out Cole once and for all so that it is him and not his best friend that Breathes with the Switchblade in this new era! Then White will truly be AEW World Champion, baybay! Freshly Squeezed lost this title to The Maniac, but then the Maniac lost to Rey Fenix after getting knocked for a loop. And then Cassidy won the title off Fenix so we’re back to square one! Cassidy wants to prove he is the rightful champion, can he do that when the Orange Punch had little to no effect just last night? Or will Moxley set things right in his book and be champion once again?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is truly championship material!

The bell rings and Cassidy runs up to throw a forearm! Moxley DECKS Cassidy in return! Moxley CHOPS, Cassidy throws hands but Moxley CHOPS again! Moxley DECKS Cassidy again, TOSSES him out, then storms out to storm up on him. Moxley TOSSES Cassidy onto the desk! Moxley fires off hands, the ref counts, but Moxley SMACKS Cassidy off the desk. And then the real kicks! Cassidy stomps and stomps and stomps, but Moxley doesn’t budge! Cassidy winds up, but Moxley stands! So Cassidy flips him off! Moxley runs in, is sent outside, and Cassidy DIVES! Moxley ends up on the desk! Cassidy slides back into the ring, builds speed again, and DIVES! Moxley flops onto the desk this time! Fans fire up for “One More Time!” so Cassidy ROCKS Moxley, slides back in, and goes again! Cassidy DIVES, and down goes Moxley!

Fans fire up as Cassidy rises up and he brings Moxley around. Cassidy puts Moxley in, climbs a corner, and Moxley stands in a daze. Cassidy leaps, but Moxley kicks low! DEATH- NO, Cassidy wrenches out! So Moxley suplexes again, into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! But Moxley just rains down HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Then the ground ‘n’ pound! Cassidy guards but Moxley just keeps raining shots! Moxley powers his way to a BULLY CHOKE! Fans rally as Cassidy endures and fights around! Cassidy reaches out, Hook coaches him, but Moxley hauls Cassidy up. Cassidy fights the lift to Alabama Lift, and back drop!

Moxley sunset flips, but Cassidy rolls through to PENALTY KICK! Shoutout to Shibata, but Moxley’s right up! Moxley runs in, Cassidy gets around, REDRUM!! Cassidy borrows Hook’s hold! Moxley flails, and Cassidy adds body scissors! Moxley staggers forward to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Cassidy holds on, but now the ref has to pry them apart. The buckle pad comes with them! Cassidy runs in, into a CUTTER!! Moxley reels Cassidy in, GOTCH PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO?!!? Cassidy survives and then the ref asks what happened to the buckle. Cassidy and Moxley rise again, and fans are dueling between them.

Moxley gives Cassidy his own mocking kicks, and Cassidy stands. Moxley then pie faces Cassidy, and Cassidy shakes his head. Cassidy puts up his hands, to put them in his pockets! Moxley runs in, Cassidy dodges and Moxley hits the buckles! Then a SHOTGUN sends Moxley back in! Moxley falls, Cassidy fires himself back up but stumbles his way over. Moxley drunkenly swings, but he still eggs Cassidy on! So Cassidy runs to ORANGE PUNCH! Moxley stays up, so Cassidy hits another ORANGE PUNCH!! Moxley wobbles and hobbles, into another ORANGE PUNCH!! But Moxley just rises up?! So Cassidy victory rolls him! TWO!!!

The fangirl feels the pain but Shida puts Storm in the ropes on the other side! And she CHOPS! CHOPS! And CHOPS!

Storms fall back, Shida stalks her to a corner and then CHOPS again! Fans are torn as Storm staggers away, but Shida CHOPS again! Shida grows frustrated but she goes to the apron. Shida climbs the ropes but Storm CHOPS her first! And CHOPS! And then ROCKET LAUNCHES her! Cover, TWO! Shida is still in this but Storm paces around. Storm goes to her corner, and Luther checks on her. He hands her the shoes! Storm has one in hand and the other tucked into her waistband! Both women are down and the fans fire up! Luther is worried for Madame Storm, and a standing count starts. Both women stir at 4 of 10, rise at 5, and Shida glares at Storm from a corner. Storm sits up, Shida storms up on her, and fires off forearms! Fans fire up as Shida just hammers away! Shida CLUBS Storm, hoists her up, but Storm shoves her! And SLAPS! SLAPS! Both women wobble, but they both roar! QUESTION MARK KICK from Shida! And then FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Storm survives and shocks Shida! Fans fire up and Shida hurries to a corner. Shida climbs, aims, and DOUBLE- NO, Storm moves!

Shida hobbles, her legs having taken some damage in that landing. Storm runs in but Shida spins her, to FALCON ARROW into a takedown! Storm has the ANKLE LOCK!! Shida flails, reaches out, and crawls, but Storm thrashes the leg! Storm drags Shida from ropes, but Shida still endures! Shida fights her way forward, and still gets the ROPEBREAK! Storm holds on, she goes to pry Shida’s boot off! She has Shida’s shoe! Fans are torn as Storm aims, but Shida blocks to then ROCK Storm! The boot goes flying, too! Shida pursues Storm, and has her kendo stick! The ref says no, this is a standard match! But Luther grabs the stick!

Shida LOW BLOWS Luther, then SMACKS him down! And again! And again! The butler takes the hits for Storm, but Storm hides her fancy ashtray in her waistband now. Shida storms up to KATA- NO! Storm blocks, reels Shida in, but Shida back drops! Storm sunset flips but Shida rocks it back to a seated cover! TWO!!! Storm escapes, but Shida runs in, only for Storm to block! Storm waistlocks, she lifts Shida up, GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans fire up and Storm aims from a corner! She gets her close-up! And also makes sure the tray is still on her butt. Storm runs in, FULL METAL SWEET HIP MUSIC!! Cover, STORM WINS!!

Storm has her moment! It was completely underhanded, but that’s all besides the point for Toni. And then Mariah is here to literally give Storm her flowers! Storm now joins Shida as the other THREE-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion, but what is next for her cinematic career?

Renee congratulates the Mad King on retaining the ROH World Championship, and momentum is on his side. What does Eddie have his sights set on? Aw c’mon, you know what he’s after. We all know what’s next. Renee does know, it’s the Continental Classic starting on Dynamite, an incredible tournament. Eddie says that’s right, this will become the most prestigious tournament in the world. But he wants to up the ante, and really make it prestigious, if that’s the right word. Eddie wants to put his life’s work on the line. He wants to put the NJPW Strong Openweight AND ROH World Championships on the line in every match he does!

That way, the winner of the whole thing will be the first-ever Triple Crown Champion, because guess what? The winner of the Continental Classic also gets the brand new Continental Championship. So to everyone getting in the tournament, let’s do it! Let’s make this the biggest and best tournament in pro-wrestling today! The Mad King is bringing the gold, who will make it out of that round robin as one of the most decorated men in wrestling today?

 

AEW World Tag Team Championships Fatal 4 Way Ladder Match: Ricky Starks & “Big Bill” Morrissey VS FTR VS La Faccion Ingobernable VS The House of Black!

Speaking of raising the stakes, the currently champions absolutely did that with their announcement last night on Collision. They didn’t want to leave it to a single pinfall or submission, so now everyone must put their bodies on the line if they want to be champions! Who will literally rise above to grab glory with their own hands?

The introductions are made, the belts hang high above, and we see who strikes gold in the Golden State!

The bell rings and fans fire up as Starks and Cash head out to get ladders while Malakai and Dax go after LFI! Bill and Brody stare down, wanting to continue where things left off on Collision! Cash stomps Starks down, then gets back in to help Dax with Rush. Brody and Bill step up and everyone gives them space. Brody winds up but FTR CLOBBER him and Bill! Rush & Malakai goes after Bill, too, and Dralistico helps against Brody! The big men get beat down, and then Cash TOSSES Brody! Rush & Malakai dig their boots in on Bill, Dax helps out. But Brody knocks Cash away, drags a ladder out, and makes it a bridge.

Rush RAMS Bill into railing while Dax brawls with Malakai. Cash SMACKS Brody off his own ladder! Dax runs in, Malakai goes up and over, but Dax ROCKS him! Malakai goes to the apron, Starks has a ladder, but Dax grabs hold of it! They tug-o-war, and then Dax RAMS Starks down! But Malakai teetertotters the ladder into Dax! LFI mugs Cash, then with help from Jose, they take inventory of things. Rush gets a ladder up, but Cash climbs with him. They see each other, so they climb back down and set the ladder aside. The forearms start flying and the fans fire up! Rush CHOPS, Cash CHOPS, repeat!

Cash fires forearms, he eggs Rush on, and then Rush HEADBUTTS! Rush runs, but Cash avoids the dropkick! Rush goes to the apron, Cash ROCKS him, but Brody grabs at them. Rush KICKS Brody away, Cash avoids Dralistico then whips. Dralistico reverses then hurdles, but Cash DIVES to take out Rush, Brody and Bill! Dralistico won’t be outdone, and he builds speed to FLY! Down goes everyone! The fans are thunderous and then Starks goes up? But Malakai CLUBS Starks down! Malakai ROCKS Starks, then he climbs up. To ASAI MOONSAULT everyone! Brody stands to help Malakai up, but Starks returns!

Dax ROCKS Starks first! Dax climbs, then brings Starks up! Fans fire up for the SUPERPLEX onto the cluster!! All eight men go down and LA loses its mind! Brody still stands back up, and Bill follows. The fans hoot and bark for Brody as he and Bill get themselves some ladders. They put these ladders in the ring, and then the big men stare down. Fans fire up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as they both step into the ring. The forearms start flying! And haymakers! Bill knees low, CLUBS Brody, but Brody ROCKS Bill! And body shots! And CLUBS! Dax sneaks a ladder of his own into the ring while Bill KNEES, CLUBS and CLUBS Brody!

But Brody KNEES, CLUBS, CLUBS CLUBS CLUBS CLUBS! Bill roars, both men stare down, and then Rush and Dax have ladders! They SANDWICH all this meat! And then they SANDWICH Bill on his own! And then they SANDWICH Brody on his own! Then they RAM each other! Ladder for ladder, but Rush loses grip first! Dax CHUCKS the ladder into Rush! Dax pushes ladders around, and equips one a la Terry! LADDER COPTER! Starks gets hit! Malakai gets hit! Brody AND Bill get hit! Dralistico stays back but Rush gets hit! Dralistico then DROPKICKS Dax and the ladder down!

Dralistico rallies the fans, goes up but Cash drags him down. Cash swings, Dralistico wrenches to ROCK, SOBAT, KICK and DREAMCAST KICK! Jose says go up and Dralistico sees he has a clear path! Dralistico positions the ladder, climbs, but Cash TIPS things! Dralistico hits ropes on the way down! Rush runs in to put Cash in a corner, clothesline, and then STOMP away! Rush then goes corner to corner, to fake Cash out, and BOOT! Fans fire up for Rush as he goes tranquilo! Rush gets the fans rallying up behind him, and he brings Cash up to CHOP! Rush whips, Cash ducks ‘n’ dodges to then scoop and POWERSLAM!

Fans fire up as Cash hurries to get himself a ladder. Cash stands it up under the belts and he climbs! But Malakai returns to CLUB a leg! Malakai hammers away, brings Cash down and DECKS him! Malakai puts the ladder aside but Cash kicks him! And UPPERCUTS! And CHOPS! Cash whips Malakai into the ladder! Cash then runs, but Malakai YANKS the ropes to FLING the ladder into Cash!! Fans are thunderous for the savage innovation, and
“This is Awesome!” as Malakai puts that ladder in a corner. Malakai drags Cash over, ROCKS him into sitting on the ladder, and then Malakai puts him sideways on it. Malakai goes up the corner, but Dax ROCKS him first!

Dax CLUBS away on Malakai but Brody CLUBS Dax! Cash goes after Malakai but Brody CHOPS away on Dax! And then TOSSES Dax down! Brody helps Malakai but Cash HOTSHOTS Brody down! Cash climbs up after Malakai, standing on the ladder. The ladder is a wobbly base and that helps Malakai fight Cash. Malakai positions himself but Cash LOW BLOWS! Nothing against it now, and he reels Malakai in! PILEDRIVER on the ladder!!! Fans lose their minds again over the even more savage and brutal innovation! But Brody is back and he brawls with Big Bill! Bill LARIATS Brody, but Brody DISCUS LARIATS Bill right outta the ring!!

Fans fire up as Brody establishes himself as alpha beef! Brody DIVES, into Bill AND a ladder!!! The titans are down, so Starks rallies on LFI and FTR! SPEAR for Dralistico! Rush runs, Starks dodges, SPEAR for Rush!! Starks wrenches Dax to TORNADO DDT! And he kips up! Fans fire up with Starks but Cash runs in. Starks elbows Cash first, reels him in, and goes up the corner! Fans cheer for the Absolute Old School! But Dax is up, so Starks CLUBS him down! Then SAIDO for Cash! Fans fire up with Starks and he grabs a ladder. Starks strikes a pose, and we get a shot to see Brody is busted open!

Malakai storms up and he brawls with Starks! Malakai KICKS low, but Starks ROCKS Malakai! Malakai BACK ELBOWS! Starks wobbles, but he still OVERHEAD SUPLEXES Malakai onto the ladder! Brody’s back to CLOBBER Starks onto the ladder! Dax runs in, Brody BACK DROPS him onto the ladder! Fans bark and hoot for Brody and he aims at Dax! CANNONBALL onto Dax and the ladder!! Brody seethes through his crimson mask that is now atop his death metal face paint, and he grabs another ladder. And this is a tall one! Brody sets it up and he climbs as fans cheer. But Bill is back to TIP the thing! Brody crashes down onto the other ladder!

Dralistico is back, but Bill puts him on the apron. Dralistico GAMANGIRIS, ROUNDHOUSES, then springboards, to FLYING CODE BREAKER! And then CHOP! CHOP! CHOP! Dralistico runs, springboards, but into Bill’s grip! SKYSCRAPER CHOKE SLAM!! But Rush is back to RAM Bill down! Rush corners Bill with the ladder, RAMS him more, then traps him in the bottom rope! Fans fire up as Rush stomps around. Rush says you mess with the bull, you get THE HORNS!! The ladder crushes Bill!! Fans are thunderous as Rush then stands another ladder up and climbs! But Starks is back to hurry up the other side!

Jose helps get that ladder back up, he and Cash reset it, because somehow it isn’t broken yet! Cash SMACKS Brody off it, places him on it, and then climbs the corner! But Bill climbs up to grab him first! Dax RAMS Bill down with another ladder! Dax clears some space while Cash still aims at Brody! FROG SPLASH on Brody and the ladder!!!

Fans lose their minds all over again as Cash goes all out for that one! Dax hurries to get one of those other ladders standing again, and he climbs! But Starks hurries after him! They brawl up top! Fans fire up and Malakai stumbles up in the background. Dax dribbles Starks off the rungs, and Starks falls back, but Bill’s there to catch him! Malakai drags Dax down, FADE TO BLACK!! Cash is back?! He LARIATS Malakai, then climbs up! Starks is still up there, he DECKS Cash! Starks brings the belts down, STARKS & BILL WIN!!!

Kris flounders back up, only for Skye to FLYING RANA her back down! Fans fire up and now Skye and Julia storm up on Kris. They get Kris up, but Kris DOUBLE SUPLEXES them to the floor! Fans fire up and Kris puts Julia in the ring. Kris runs up but into a SUPERKICK! Skye SUPERKICKS Kris, then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK Kris down! The fans fire up and these two stare down now. They step forward and fans duel.

Skye offers a handshake? Julia accepts! Julia pats Skye on the cheek, then fires off forearms! Skye hits back, but Julia trips Skye to dribble her off the mat! The fans fire up as Julia drags Skye up, but Skye pulls hair! They end up on ropes, Skye gets in Julia’s face and then snapmares for ground ‘n’ pound! Skye dribbles Julia now! The fans fire up again, Skye PENALTY KICKS! Cover, TWO! Kris returns and she drags Skye up, BIG back suplex! Kris RAMS Julia into a corner, dodges Skye and Skye runs into Julia. Kris runs in, Skye dodges but the UPPERCUT hits Julia! Kris KNEES Skye, fireman’s carries her, then BOOTS Julia before the SAMOAN DROP!

Kris covers Skye but Julia SENTONS it apart! Julia seethes and she storms up on Kris. Julia RAMS Kris into buckles, then stalks Skye. Skye swings, Julia spins her and clinches, but Skye powers out to roll Julia up! TWO, and Skye runs in. Skye blocks Julia’s haymaker, spins her and Kris ROUNDHOUSES Julia down! Kris rushes Skye now but Skye catches her to a TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Skye runs up on Julia but Julia ELBOWS her down! Fans fire up again as all three are down, everyone on a side of the ring. Julia then somersaults to LARIAT Kris! Julia steps on Skye to go up top, but Skye CLUBS her first! Skye tucks Julia in to CHEEKY NANDOS! Skye then gets under but Julia fights free! Skye dodges Julia’s lariat but Kris CLOBBERS her! Kris then kicks Julia low, reels her in, and SPINNING FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Julia survives, and Skye is up top! Kris turns around into the FLYING RAN- NO, Kris blocks that to pop Skye up! Electric Chair SLAM! Kris then drags Skye to a drop zone and climbs up. Only for Julia to SHOVE her down! Kris crashes down to the apron then the floor, but Skye anchors Julia.

Julia mule kicks Skye away, adjusts, and MOONSAULTS! Cover, Kris YANKS Julia away! Julia is seething, but Kris just grins at her. Julia runs in, into a POWERSLAM to the floor! Kris goes back to the apron but Skye BOOT WASHES her! And then rolls her, SUPER- NO, Kris blocks that kick, but not the BASEMENT ENZIGURI! Skye roars, fans fire up, and Skye runs, into Kris’ arms! Kris pops Skye around, tucks her in, but Skye drops down to a victory roll! TWO, and Kris runs up. Skye ducks ‘n’ dodges and rolls to a CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!! Fans are thunderous and Skye is shocked that Kris survives!

Skye drags Kris up, runs, hops on, but Julia ROUNDHOUSES Skye down! Then BLINDSIDER LARIAT on Kris! Julia hurries to get Skye hooked up, HARTLESS LOCK!! Skye endures, kicks and flails, and Kris drags Julia off for a GERMAN SUPLEX! And then deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX for Skye! Kris doesn’t stop, she deadlift GERMAN SUPLEXES Julia, then standing GERMAN SUPLEXES Skye! Fans are thunderous for #SuplexKris and she ROUNDHOUSES Julia back down! Skye ducks a roundhouse, but Kris drops out of the full nelson. But Skye smothers the cover, TWO!! Kris whips Skye, scoops her, but Skye tries to tilt-o-whirl!

Fans are thunderous as Ospreay joins Schiavone in the ring, and Schiavone says we can tell from that response that this is a hell of a move. The contract and pen are right here, Ospreay signs on the dotted line! That makes it official!

Schiavone asks how it feels, and Ospreay says it’s great. How about LA? They good? He is happy to be on the team, but he has some bad news real quickly. Yeah, sorry, but he has to get this out of the way. He is not all in just yet. He knows, he gets it, pipe down, bruv! But when he was 22 years old, he joined NJPW. He’s 30 now, bruv, he’s committed, but please, let him finish up. And then, he’ll be on the road to Revolution! And Ospreay will then be all yours. But more importantly, “I AM ALL ELITE, BRUV!”

Texas Deathmatch: Hangman Page VS Swerve Strickland!

The Cowboy was cheated at WrestleDream, but he screwed The Mogul out of the TNT Championship. And while Swerve couldn’t let that go, he went too far when he stepped inside whose house? Hangman’s house! This is no longer about business, this is no longer about a seat at the table, this is no longer about being world title aspirations. This is about surviving! Will Hangman keep his promise to cast Swerve down into the deepest pits of Hell? Or will Swerve double down and remove Hangman from AEW completely?

Nana has a dance team joining in! And then Nana gets the mic to ask, “Whose house?” “Swerve’s House!” “Whose house?!” “Swerve’s House!!” “Whose house?!” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!!” Well Hangman just rushes right out, no entrance, to TACKLE Swerve! Fans fire up as the brawl is already on! These two scrap, get up, and Hangman POP-UP POWERBOMBS! Then Hangman goes to the apron! Nana freaks out, for the BUCKSHOT!! Hangman roars while Swerve bails out! Hangman storms out after Swerve, throws hands, then whips Swerve hard into railing! And then Hangman whips Swerve hard into more railing!

Hangman hauls Swerve up to whip again, but Swerve reverses, only for Hangman to reverse and THROW Swerve into railing! A standing count starts but Hangman doesn’t think this is enough. He puts Swerve in the ring, gets a chair, and puts that in the ring while looking under the ring. He finds duct tape! Hangman storms up on Swerve and CHUCKS the chair into his face! Swerve is down but Hangman isn’t done with him! Hangman ties Swerve’s hands with the tape! Hangman stomps Swerve to keep him down, then tapes him up some more! Nana is a bit panicked, because now Hangman has a STAPLE GUN!?

Fans go nuts and Swerve starts freaking out. Hangman holds Swerve’s hands down to STAPLE Swerve’s pec!! Swerve flounders out of the ring and the fans tell Hangman he’s sick. Hangman just goes out to STAPLE the other pec!! Swerve can only writhe in pain, but then Hangman storms up with a paper? Hangman STAPLES the paper to Swerve’s shoulder!! Fans are losing their minds as Hangman STAPLES Swerve’s back! And then the other shoulder! Hangman puts Swerve in the ring, grabs that chair, and fans fire up as Hangman aims. Swerve stands, into a HEADSHOT! Fans fire up and the standing count starts.

Hangman paces while Nana is furious. Swerve crawls his way to the apron at 5 of 10, and he stands. We see Swerve is busted open from that shot to his head, but now Hangman brings out some new paper. Hangman storms up on Swerve, and he STAPLES Swerve’s cheek! That’s Hangman’s son’s fingerpainting!! Swerve sputters, and then Hangman YANKS the paper away!! Hangman DRINKS SWERVE’S BLOOD!! Fans are losing their minds, calling Hangman sick as sick can be! Hangman goes out to fetch barbed wire, and a barbed wire wrapped chair! Hangman is going to a dark place, but then Swerve LOW BLOWS!

Swerve sputters, Nana hurries and cuts the tape! Swerve’s hands are free, he and Hangman are both down at 5 of 10. Hangman has his staple gun again, and he STAPLES a pec! Swerve doesn’t feel it anymore?! Hangman STAPLES him again! And again! Swerve is like a zombie now as he keeps stepping forward! Swerve turns things around and STAPLES Hangman’s forehead!! Hangman falls down, the count starts, Swerve STAPLES HIMSELF!!! Swerve laughs it off and the fans say he’s sick now! Swerve puts the barbed wire chair in a corner, storms up on Hangman, and RAMS him face first!! And then Swerve DIGS barbed wire into Hangman’s forehead!!

Swerve lets off, Hangman’s under the count, but Swerve goes out to keep the barbed wire in his possession. Hangman stands at 7 but then flops back over. The count starts again, but Swerve has a CINDERBLOCK! Swerve’s signature from when he betrayed Keith Lee returns! Swerve puts it on the apron, climbs up, but Hangman ROCKS him! Swerve ROCKS Hangman, Hangman ROCKS Swerve! They go back and forth, Hangman gets the edge, and then Hangman fires up! Triangle jump- NO, Swerve catches him! Swerve drags Hangman out to the apron, then half nelsons. Hangman throws forearms to fight free!

Swerve wobbles, Hangman runs up, but Swerve blocks the boot to BITE Hangman’s forehead! Fireman’s carry, APRON DEATH VALLEY on the cinderblock!!! The fans lose their minds again and Nana says Swerve has this now! The count begins, Hangman sputters at 4, “This is Awesome!” Hangman stands at 7, Swerve has a crimson mask as he storms up on Hangman. Swerve RAMS Hangman into railing, has him sit in the corner, and then he climbs up. Swerve drags Hangman up to join him, but Hangman throws body shots. Hangman Alabama Lifts but Swerve CLUBS him! STUFF PILEDRIVER on the railing!!

Swerve sputters and blinks through his own blood while he stays standing. The count is on Hangman, Nana gets Swerve water. The water washes some of the blood away but not enough. Swerve looms over Hangman but Hangman shoves him away. Hangman crawls, looks under the ring, but he can’t quite find what he’s looking for. The ref makes sure he’s even okay to continue, and then Swerve drags Hangman into the ring. Swerve ROCKS Hangman, sending blood and sweat flying through the air! Fans rally and duel, but Swerve SLAPS Hangman. Hangman fires up hearing “COWBOY SH*T!” and he fires hands on Swerve!

Fans fire up as Hangman roars and whips, but Swerve BOOTS! Swerve runs, but Hangman scoops him! FALL AWAY SLAM! Both men are down, the fans fire up, and a standing count is on them both. Hangman rises first, crawls around, but Swerve goes to a corner. Hangman stands, Swerve has barbed wire! But Hangman scoops him again! Another FALL AWAY SLAM! Hangman and Swerve flounder again, and Nana coaches Swerve to his feet. Hangman stands, and he GRINDS the barbed wire into Swerve’s face! Then he wraps it around Swerve’s body! It’s a barbed wire snare! Hangman scoops again!? BARBED WIRE FALL AWAY SLAM!!

Swerve writhes out of the ring and Hangman blinks through his own crimson mask. Hangman gets that barbed wire chair, brings it with him to another corner, and while Swerve sputters outside, Hangman climbs! Hangman BARBED WIRE CHAIR ARIHARA MOONSAULTS!!! Direct hit on Swerve and the fans lose their minds again!! Swerve writhes and sputters, more bloody cuts all over his chest! But Hangman puts Swerve back in the ring, and he reloads! “This is Awesome!” and very gruesome, but Nana grabs a foot! Hangman kicks him away, slingshots, BUCK- NO, Swerve gets around, J- NO, Hangman victory rolls the driver, TWO!

Hangman grabs the chair, but Swerve BOOTS it into him! Hangman falls back, but Swerve storms up to scoop and- NO, Hangman turns things around! BARBED WIRE CHAIR TOMBSTONE!!!! If only Hangman could pin him! The standing count starts, we’re at 5 of 10 and Hangman stands in a corner. Swerve is still down at 7, slowly sits up at 8, and Nana pulls Swerve up!! Swerve stands on his own at 9.9!! But Hangman doesn’t stop, he SMACKS Swerve with the chair on the back!! Hangman sets the chair down, drags Swerve up, and then puts him on the top rope. Hangman climbs up, and he throws haymakers on that bloody forehead.

Hangman then Alabama Lifts!? Fans fire up but Swerve sunset flips through! Hangman punches Swerve, but Swerve SMACKS Hangman with the chair!! The barbed wire gets caught in the hair! Swerve pulls it free, then he brings Hangman down to SITDOWN POWERBOMB on the barbed wire!!! And then Swerve hops up, to KILL STOMP onto the chair!!!! But both men fall over! If only Swerve could pin Hangman! The standing count passes 5, then 7! Hangman and Swerve rise, break the count, but then Hangman flops back over. Swerve SMACKS him with the chair again!! Swerve goes looking under the ring, and he has the black back!

Swerve gets in the ring, and he pours the bag out onto Hangman. It’s broken glass!?! And Swerve goes up to 450 SPLASH the glass onto Hangman’s back!! Then the half nelson, J M L DRIVER!!!! Both men are down and the count begins! Swerve sits up at 3, Nana coaches him up, and Swerve stands at 6! Hangman sputters and flounders at 7, rolls his way to the ropes, and drags himself up at 9.99!! The fans are thunderous as this madness continues! Swerve is furious, Hangman glares back, and Swerve clotheslines Hangman and himself out of the ring! Swerve staggers up, grabs another chair, and puts that in the ring.

Swerve and Nana go looking, and Nana finds a board covered in barbed wire!! Swerve uses chairs to be the legs for this makeshift table, and Hangman flounders back in. Swerve drags Hangman up the corner, then half nelsons! Hangman throws elbows to fight that, and then he turns around! Hangman BITES Swerve’s forehead! The Cowboy still wants to taste blood! And then he sees what Swerve constructed, and he goes up to the very top! SUPER FALL AWAY SLAM THROUGH THE BOARD!!! And then some kicks, and a POWERBOMB onto the barbed wire!! And then another roll, Alabama Lift, DEADEYE onto the barbed wire!!!

Hangman moves the wreckage while the count is on Swerve. Hangman has another loose strand of wire, Swerve sits up and fans hope they “FIGHT FOREVER!” But this is going to end somehow, and Hangman wraps the wire around Swerve’s head! Nana panics as Hangman reloads on the apron! BUCKSHOT!!! Swerve is down and Hangman checks his own arm. The count begins, Swerve is still down at 5 of 10! And at 7! Nana again drags Swerve to his feet!! Hangman is pissed but Nana does his dance! Swerve stumbles about, and BRIAN CAGE ATTACKS! Swerve’s trump card attacks! Fans boo as Cage hauls Hangman up to POWERBOMB! AND BUCKLE BOMB!!

And then fireman’s carry, F5!!! Cage goes out to bring out a TABLE!! Fans are torn, they did want a table but not if Cage is doing the work for Swerve! Cage storms back up on Hangman, reels him in, but Hangman DIGS wire into Cage’s face!! And then BARBED WIRE ROLLING ELBOW! And another!! Then Hangman puts the wire around Cage’s head, to LARIAT him down!! Cage flops out of the ring so now Nana tries! Nana SMACKS Hangman with a chair! But that just pisses Hangman off!! Hangman chases Nana, and has him on the apron!! Fans are thunderous, Nana tries to use his dance, but he just gets DEADEYE through the table!!!

Fans are thunderous again as Hangman drags himself from the wreckage. But Swerve has a chunk of that cinderblock! Swerve SMASHES it on Hangman’s back!! Hangman falls and Swerve grins. Swerve stands over Hangman while the count begins. Hangman is still down at 5, but Swerve isn’t satisfied. Swerve finds a chain! And a long one! Swerve wraps that around Hangman like a leash, then he slings it up and over the corner! Swerve wants to hang Hangman!! Swerve pulls the chain to CHOKE Hangman!! Hangman is standing but he’s also suffocating! Swerve lets go, and the count begins again.

Hangman stirs but he’s still down at 5 of 10. Swerve looms over Hangman as he sputters, but we’re at 8! Hangman rises at 9?!? But he’s still down, SWERVE WINS!!

High Stakes Tag Match: The Young Bucks VS The Golden Jets!

Matt & Nick Jackson accuse Chris Jericho of being a leech and that Kenny Omega needs to remember why The Elite reunited over the Summer. But The Ocho & The Cleaner agree that the Bucks are just being pouty children. To put this all to rest, The Bucks are putting up their status as #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Golden Jets even being a team at all! Who makes it out of LA with those golden tickets in hand?

For whatever reason, Don Callis joins commentary, as if losing the Like A Dragon Street Fight wasn’t enough for him. But the teams sort out and Omega starts against Nick. They shake hands, and Omega shakes Matt’s hand, this is still meant to be a respectful match of friends. They tie up, Omega waistlocks, but Nick switches. Omega wrenches and wristlocks, but Nick uses ropes to flip through. Omega wrenches again, waistlocks then headlocks. Nick powers out but Omega runs him over. Fans fire up as Omega flexes, then things speed up. Omega blocks a hip toss but then so does Nick. Nick knees low, flips up and over, and then dodges a lariat!

Omega blocks a lariat, but then Nick blocks one back! Nick knuckle locks, goes up and up and FLYING ARM-DRAGS! Omega stands, blocks the dropkick, and he wags his finger. Omega shakes hands with Nick and helps him to his feet. Omega then tags Jericho in, so Nick tags Matt. Fans rally as Jericho and Matt circle, and they tie up. Jericho arm-drags, but Matt shakes that off. Jericho flexes and fans cheer. Callis goes and says he didn’t betray either man, they disappointed him and were no longer worthy of the Don Callis Family. Matt and Jericho tie up again, Jericho headlocks then switches to a hammerlock, but Matt headlocks back.

Jericho wrenches out, wristlocks, but Matt rolls, kips and throws Jericho by his hair! Matt swivels the hips but Jericho storms up on him. Jericho CHOPS Matt, CHOPS again and again in the corner, then Omega tags in. Jericho still CHOPS a few more times, but Omega has him stand down. Omega and Matt circle now, fans boo but the two feel things out. They knuckle lock, but then Matt kicks low and he CLUBS away on Omega! Omega goes to a corner, Matt storms up and he whips corner to corner. Matt runs in, but Omega goes up and over and rolls. Omega comes back to RANA! Nick runs in but Omega TOSSES him!

Fans fire up with Omega, he tags Jericho, but then Nick YANKS Jericho down! Omega DECKS Nick, he gets the Terminator Drums going, and fans join in. Omega builds speed to FLY! Direct hit on Matt! Nick is in the ring, he PENALTY KICKS Omega! Nick ROCKS Jericho, but Jericho triangle jump DROPKICKS! Nick falls back down, and Jericho builds speed! Jericho WRECKS Nick with a dropkick, storms up on Nick, but Matt CLUBS Jericho! Matt whips Jericho into steel steps, and Callis actually likes this aggression. Nick traps Jericho’s arm in the steps, to BOOT! And BOOT again!

Nick stomps Jericho, then drags him back up. Nick puts Jericho in, fans rally and duel, and Nick runs to BOOT Jericho down! Jericho clutches his arm, but Nick stomps that arm. Nick drags Jericho over, tags in Matt, and Matt goes up to AX HANDLE the arm! Matt wrenches to ELBOW BREAKER, then he tags Nick. Nick goes up to DOUBLE STOMP the arm! Matt scuffs Jericho on his way out, then Nick stomps Jericho around. Jericho CHOPS, but that’s the bad arm! Tag to Matt, Jericho throws hands with his left! That right arm has a bloody laceration on it! The Bucks double whip but Jericho DOUBLE LARIATS!

Jericho shakes out the bad arm, Nick BOOTS him down! Jericho goes to the apron, Nick steals his triangle jump DROPKICK! Nick BLASTS Omega, and then argues with the ref while Matt brings Jericho over. Matt YANKS Jericho into the post, then CLUBS that bad arm! Matt drags Jericho up, and he SLAMS the bad arm into railing! Matt puts Jericho in for Nick, and Nick CLUBS Jericho to the corner. Nick stomps a mudhole in, the ref counts and Nick lets off. The Bucks soak up the cheers and jeers, but certainly a lot of jeers. Nick stomps Jericho, drags him up and wraps the bad arm around the ropes! The ref counts, Nick lets off at 4.

Nick stomps Jericho, wrenches and whips him to the corner, then runs in, into a BOOT! Jericho DECKS Matt, goes up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS Nick! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Jericho crawls, reaches out, hot tag to Omega! Omega rallies on the Bucks! Nick ducks the Polish Hammer to kick low, then he and Matt double whip. Omega KICKS Nick, blocks Matt’s haymaker, but then Matt ducks and the ENZIGURI hits Nick! Matt swings, but into the SNAP DRAGON! Nick staggers up, into a fireman’s carry! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” But Nick does! Omega ELBOWS Nick, then sits him in the ropes.

Matt runs up, whips, but Omega reverses to fireman’s carry him! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” ROLLING SENTON, somersault and DRAPING BACKSTABBER! Fans fire up and Omega goes up and up to GOLDEN TRIANGLE! Down goes Matt, and Omega hurries back up. CROSSBODY on Nick, but Nick rolls through! TWO!! Nick kicks and whips, Omega reverses and backslides, but Nick rolls through, into a V-TRIGGER! Omega shakes out his leg, and he tags Jericho. Matt tags in, Jericho dodges to run him over! And again! Nick returns but Jericho cross chops him down! Then LIONSAULT on both Bucks!

Fans fire up and Jericho storms up on Matt. Trip and WALLS- NO, Matt kicks Jericho’s bad arm! Matt is free, but Jericho DECKS him! Nick HOTSHOTS the bad arm! Matt is up to kick and ARMBAR DDT! Fans are torn again as Matt swaggers around. Matt then gets a sneaky idea, and he grabs the legs! Matt turns Jericho, but Jericho drags Matt into a cradle! TWO, and Jericho CLOBBERS Matt! Nick SPINNING ROUNDHOUSES! Omega SLAM DUNKS Nick, but Matt DDTS Omega! Matt then baits Jericho into CLOBBERING Omega! Roll up, TWO! Matt RANA, but Jericho blocks! WALLS OF JERICHO!!

Fans fire up as Matt endures! Matt reaches out, claws his way over, but Nick is on the apron. Nick springboards, but Omega YANKS him down! Omega THROWS Nick into railing, and Jericho sits deep!! Matt endures, fights, and Jericho’s bad arm gives up! Matt turns over to KICK away on Jericho’s shoulder! Jericho lets go and both men are down. The fans rally up, Matt and Jericho rise, and they throw hands! Jericho uses the bad arm but that hurts. Matt throws more forearms, Jericho CHOPS with his left! They go back and forth, stand up, and Jericho throws another shot with his right. Matt CLUBS that arm!

Matt runs, but Jericho BOOTS him! Jericho runs but Matt puts him on the apron. So Jericho goes up the corner! AX- NO, Matt catches him! Omega runs in, Matt catches him, too! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS! Nick has Omega on the apron, APRON GERMAN SUPLEX!! Omega flops to the floor, Matt runs in at Jericho, but Jericho dodges! Matt bounces off buckles, Jericho BULLDOGS him! Jericho goes to ropes but Nick anchors the Lionsault! Matt SUPERKICKS the legs out! Matt has Jericho draped off the ropes, and Nick goes up! DRAPING SWANTON BOMB!!  Nick keeps Omega out as Matt covers, TWO!!!

Jericho survives and fans rally up. Matt is frustrated but he puts Jericho in the drop zone. Matt climbs, but Jericho stands to trip him up! Jericho SLAPS Matt, CHOPS him, then climbs up after him. Jericho rains down fists with his left, and fans count along to “OCHO”, then TEN! SUPER STEINER! Nick storms in while the ref checks Matt, LOW BLOW!! Just like Dynamite!! Omega is furious and he storms in, but Nick holds up. Omega dares Nick to low blow! Nick argues with the ref, Omega turns around and Matt LOW BLOWS!! The Bucks “apologize” and then Matt tags Nick in. Nick aims as Jericho rises, JUDAS EFFECT!!! Cover, OMEGA BREAKS IT!!

Fans fire up and Callis is actually enjoying this. Nick throws Omega out to then SPRINGBOARD CANNONBALL! Tag to Matt and the Bucks vow to end this! They have Jericho’s arms, B T E TRIGGER!!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Jericho survives and no one can believe it! The Bucks coordinate, Matt stands Jericho up to scoop, but Omega YANKS Nick down again! Jericho victory rolls, TWO!! Nick gets back in, Jericho blocks the superkick to send it into Matt! Jericho then SUPERKICKS Nick! And SUPERKICKS Matt! Nick SUPERKICKS the bad arm! The ref checks on Jericho, Nick pushes her aside, and Jericho LOW BLOWS!

Fans cheer the payback on Nick but Callis says Jericho’s scum. Jericho tags Omega, and he sees Nick on ropes, but also Jericho on ropes. Is Omega going to choose his teammate or his friend? Omega aims at Jericho!? BANG, and Omega runs, to bypass Jericho and V-TRIGGER Nick!! It was a fake out!! Matt runs in, into a SNAP DRAGON! And another SNAP DRAGON! Omega has Nick now for the Electric Chair Lift, but Nick POISON-RANAS!! Matt Electric Chair Lifts Omega!? ONE WINGED ANGEL?!?! Cover, TWO!!!! Omega survives his own move and the Bucks can’t believe it! “This is Awesome!” and the Bucks tag again.

Matt hauls Omega up, scoops him, Nick springboards but Jericho intercepts with a CODE BREAKER!! Omega turns things around on Matt to Electric Chair Lift! ONE WINGED- NO, Matt punches away! Omega just changes it to COYT’S WRATH!! Bridging cover, TWO!! Matt survives but Omega reloads. BANG and Omega runs, but into Nick’s SUPERKICK! Jericho is up, Nick SUPERKICKS the Judas Effect! But Jericho SOUTHPAW JUDAS EFFECTS!! Matt SUPERKICKS Jericho! Jericho roars, Matt SUPERKICKS him again!! Matt wants to rip that arm off! But Omega ripcord V-TRIGGERS!! And Electric Chair, to the ONE WINGED ANGEL!!! Cover, GOLDEN JETS WIN!!

Nick is pissed! The Bucks have lost their shot at the titles and Nick is throwing things around ringside! Omega & Jericho are now the ones with that guaranteed shot any time they want! Matt rips off his wrist tape. Omega tries to show his friends respect but the Bucks are just pissed! Now Matt starts throwing a fit! Callis says this is what Jericho does, he ruins friendships for his own selfish reasons. But is this reaction only proving Jericho & Omega right that the Bucks are spoiled brats? Will the Golden Jets move on to go after the Absolute AEW World Tag Team Champions?

 

AEW World Championship: MJF Adam Cole VS Jay White w/ The Gunns!

We all saw how earlier tonight in the Zero Hour, The Gunns were such sore losers that they felt the need to brutally injure MJF so that he could not compete in this main event. But in MJF’s time of need, his #Brochacho4Life is willing to fight on one good leg to take down the cowardly and conniving Switchblade! Will Adam Cole fight to protect MJF’s title the way MJF has fought to protect their tag titles? Or will AEW have no choice but to Breathe With The Switchblade?

The introductions are made, the Triple B is raised, and we literally see what chances a one legged man has in an ass kicking contest!

The bell rings, White mocks Cole by hopping on one leg, but wait! Is that an ambulance?! An ambulance is pulling into the arena, but could it really be…?! MJF IS DRIVING!! Cole smiles and the fans cheer as MJF has made his way back to the Forum, leg heavily taped! MJF still hobbles his way out here, but then does that mean MJF is going to take his place back in this match? The music hits and the fans cheer as MJF makes his way out here! Cole seems a bit confused, but then security and producers want MJF to stay away! MJF forces himself to walk down the ramp and to the ring, and White figures what the hell, he’ll beat either one of these guys!

MJF gets on the apron, Cole pleads with him to stay back but MJF still steps inside. MJF hugs it out with his brochacho, and the fans cheer as Cole steps out. We’re back to how this card was meant to be, will The People’s Scumbag stay our champion?

AEW World Championship: MJF w/ Adam Cole VS Jay White w/ The Gunns!

The bell rings, White taunts MJF, but the fans rally up. MJF glares at White, hobbles forward, and he ROCKS White! But then he has to fall back! White CHOP BLOCKS the leg, the Gunns laugh like Ass Hyenas, and White taunts Cole. White stomps MJF’s leg, then GROUND DRAGON SCREWS! White stalks MJF to a corner, stomps him, then stomps him again! The ref counts, White digs his boot in, but White lets off at 4. Cole and the fans rally for MJF and MJF throws hands! White knees low, then CHOPS! White brings MJF around, CORNER HALF HATCH! Cover, TWO! MJF clutches his leg but he’s still in this.

White drags MJF by an arm, the fans chant “He’s Our Scumbag!” White hauls MJF up to TOSS him out, and White distracts the ref so the Gunns can stomp away! Cole storms over as best he can on crutches but the Gunns put MJF back in. White covers, TWO! Another cover, TWO! White stomps MJF’s bad leg, digs his knees into the hamstring, then he hauls MJF up. White TOSSES MJF again, and he again distracts the ref! But MJF fires hands on Austin! And on Colten! Fans fire up, but the Gunns mug MJF! The Gunns put MJF in again, White covers, TWO! White pushes MJF out, again distracts the ref, and the Gunns get a chair!

Cole shouts and the ref sees the Gunns! They’re caught red handed!! The fans fire up as the ref EJECTS the Ass Boys!! The fans cheer as they get what they deserve! Cole laughs and flips them off as the fans sing “HEY HEY HEY! GOODBYE~!” White is now all alone, but he goes out to stomp MJF himself. White and Cole argue, and White threatens to hit Cole! Cole flinches, and White chuckles. White puts MJF in the ring, then he stands on MJF’s head. White stomps MJF, rips that Lakers style shirt off, SPITS on it, then throws it at Cole! White dares Cole to do something about it, then taunts MJF.

MJF is seething as White kicks him around. White CLUBS MJF, the fans rally up, and Cole coaches MJF up. White throws hands but MJF stands! MJF hobbles as he storms up on White, and shouts, “Hit me, you effin’ POS!!” White kicks the bad leg! Fans boo, White runs, but MJF dodges to ELBOW! And LARIAT! MJF scoops and SLAMS! Adrenaline helps MJF with the pain in his leg and the fans fire up again. MJF storms up on White in a corner, dribbles him off the buckles, and fans count all the way to TEN! MJF then climbs up the corner, and he rains down fists! Fans again count, they go to nine, and MJF BITES White’s forehead!!

The fans fire up and Cole loves it, too! MJF lets off as the ref counts and White writhes in the corner. MJF still hits the stance?! Can he do the Kangaroo on one leg?! White staggers up, MJF aims, KANGAROO KICK!! And a kip up!? This is adrenaline and determination on MJF’s part! But then Cole says do a dive!? The fans rally, MJF gives it a try, but White returns to dropkick the leg! MJF hobbles up, into a DDT! Cover, TWO! MJF is still in this and White grows frustrated. White mocks the cheering, then he drags MJF up. White CHOPS MJF and MJF flops back over! MJF crawls to a corner, and White storms up on him.

White CHOPS MJF again, then stands him back up. White wrenches and whips, but MJF can’t even make it halfway! Fans boo but White soaks up all the heat. White drags MJF up as the fans rally, but White CHOPS him! White goes corner to corner, but MJF pops White up to MULE KICK him out of the air! Fans fire up and MJF looks to Cole. Cole coaches MJF and MJF goes up! MJF aims, leaps, PANAMA- NO, White moves and now the bad leg jams! White clinches for an URENAGE! Cover, TWO!! MJF survives and White is frustrated. White drags MJF around, sits him up, but MJF is dead weight so White drops him.

White stomps the bad leg, drags MJF up again, and reels him into the sleeper. MJF throws elbows, they end up on ropes and MJF throws more shots, But White SAIDOS MJF up and out of the ring! MJF tumbles to the apron then floor, and Cole checks on MJF. White goes out, gets in Cole’s face, then storms up on MJF. White hauls MJF up, grins and CHOPS! MJF flops against the apron while fans boo. White taunts Cole but then MJF CLAWS White’s eyes! MJF SMACKS White off the apron, then DDTS to the floor! Fans fire up again and Cole coaches MJF. MJF refreshes the ring count and slaps his bad leg into working.

MJF clears the desk!? MJF drags White up, puts him on the desk, but then the desk falls apart! Does White need to lose some weight? MJF isn’t going to let that stop him, though, he goes up a corner. MJF says he’s loco a la Sammy, and he SUPER MACHO ELBOWS DROPS!!! Both men are down and the fans lose their minds! Cole checks on MJF, as does the ref, and somehow both MJF and White are still in this. The fans rally up, the ring count starts, and both men stir at 5 of 10. MJF shouts as he rises up, and he drags White up to put him in at 7! MJF slides in at 8, and fans cheer as this match continues!

MJF goes to the apron again and tells the ref that he’s “effin’ good.” The fans rally behind “Our Scumbag,” and MJF climbs again. But White gets the bad leg! DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! White crawls over to MJF, drags him back up, and puts him in a corner. White hoists MJF up, and claws him into the Tree of Woe! White stomps MJF, CHOPS him, then goes to the apron. White climbs up, rips at the tape on the knee, but MJF sits up! SPIDER BELLY2BELLY!! MJF then fires up and uses that core to sit back up! MJF finally saves his knee from the pain of that corner, but he adjusts, only for White to CHOP BLOCK!

MJF flops to the apron, but White climbs up the corner and drags MJF back to the top. White clinches, for a SUPER URENAGE!!! White pushes MJF over to a cover, TWO?!?! MJF survives and the fans fire up again! Cole coaches MJF but White sits him back up. White CHOPS, then tells Cole to shut up. White CHOPS again! Cole tells MJF to fight, but White CHOPS again! MJF grits his teeth, stands back up, and fans rally more as White CHOPS again! MJF asks, “That the best you got, you SOB?!” White CLAWS MJF’s face! The ref reprimands, White lets off and runs, but MJF kicks. White blocks, so MJF pokes White in the eye!

But White clinches! MJF slips free to ROLLING ELBOW! White wobbles, MJF hobbles, and MJF manages to run, but into a CMOPLETE SHOT! DEADLIFT GERMAN! White looms over MJF, points the finger gun and he clinches again, BLADE- NO, MJF slips around to O’Conner Roll! TWO, White has it, TWO! MJF has the O’Conner and ropes, TWO!! White is up, but MJF scoops?! TOMBSTONE!! But that was double-edged with how it hits the knees! Cole coaches MJF up while he and White are both down. White goes to ropes, Cole reminds MJF that this title is rightfully MJF’s! White and MJF rise and the fans rally again.

White runs in at MJF but into an elbow! MJF goes up again, and he DOUBLE STOMPS the arm! White clutches that elbow as he staggers away, but he runs up on MJF. MJF puts White in the ropes! HEAT- NO, White throws MJF away! MJF lands on his knees and he falls over in pain! Cole says he believes in MJF! The fans believe in MJF! MJF stands, White says he’ll end MJF! But MJF runs to FLYING CUTTER to the floor!!! The fans lose their minds and even Cole can’t believe what we just saw! The fans rally up as a ring count climbs! We’re past 5 of 10, MJF hops his way over, and Cole says MJF is the best!

MJF drags White up and puts him in at 8 of 10! MJF drags White to a cover, TWO!! White is still in this and MJF is beside himself. Cole still coaches MJF that MJF is the best. MJF pulls the kneepad down so he can also check the tape. MJF slaps the leg into working, and he storms up on White. But then the leg gives up! MJF falls back over, but he doesn’t want the ref to call this. Cole and the fans rally, and MJF drags White up again. But again the leg gives up! The ref wants the medics to check this, and Doc Sampson heads over. MJF tells Doc NO, he isn’t losing like this! Fans fire up again as MJF rises back up!

MJF, even with the bad leg, gets White up. But White DRAGON SCREWS the leg!! And then he SPITS on MJF, to GROUND DRAGON SCREW!! White stands, steps through, “WOO~!” White SPITS at Cole, before putting on the FIGURE FOUR!! MJF suffers, White SLAPS that bad leg, but Cole grabs a towel?! The fans tell him no, MJF tells him NO, and Cole says someone has to do something! MJF falls back as a cover, TWO!! MJF sits up, he tells Cole no, but White CHOPS MJF! White CLUBS the bad leg, but MJF drags him along towards ropes! MJF reaches out, but White drags him back!! It’s a cover, TWO!!!

MJF stays in this and LA is electric!! MJF reaches out, Cole says keep fighting, and MJF turns things! White pulls the tape on the leg, but MJF TURNS IT OVER!! Now White suffers!! White crawls, reaches out, but MJF puts on as much pressure as he can! White flails, grabs at the ref, and then grabs for ropes! MJF pushes up as far as he can, but White flails to the ROPEBREAK!! The ref undoes the hold, MJF is freed either way, and Cole sneaks his tag title belt. White stares Cole down, they fight over the belt, and White grabs the belt! MJF pushes the ref off him, White BELT SHOTS MJF!!! Cover, TWO?!?!?! MJF survives and Cole is very relieved!

The Forum is electric again as this continues! White snarls at Cole, storms back over to MJF, and he drags MJF away from ropes. MJF claws forward, has the ropes, and the ref counts. White tells the ref to shut up, but then MJF BOOTS White into the ref!! Cole and MJF see what just happened, and MJF smirks. Cole has the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Cole sets it there for MJF, but White gets MJF’s leg! GROUND DRAGON SCREW!! White then grabs for the ring! Cole’s too slow, White puts the ring on his middle finger to flip Cole off with it. Cole panics as he again messes up! White kisses the ring, takes aim, but MJF LOW BLOWS FIRST!!!

The fans are thunderous again as MJF now has the ring! But wait, here come the Gunns! MJF DECKS Austin, he DECKS Colten, and now there’s nothing stopping this! But White clinches! BLADE- NO, MJF slips free to DYNAMITE DIAMOND HAYMAKER!!! MJF covers, the ref is up, MJF WINS!!!!

Winner: MJF, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

LA and Cole celebrate as MJF makes it through the night! And finally, The Triple B comes home to MJF! The Brochachos 4 Life raise the belt together, and MJF now completes 365 days! MJF is the longest reigning and the winningest AEW World Champion, but with Samoa Joe’s promised title opportunity still to come, how much longer will MJF be on top?

My Thoughts:

An awesome PPV for AEW, and was it just me or was this shorter? Like, AEW learned to trim the fat for once so that the audience doesn’t get tired. One quick gripe I have is that the opening video narration made no sense for Full Gear. All that talk of “everything comes to an end, what will you do when it comes?” fits more, oh uh maybe Worlds End? The last PPV they are putting on this year, which is like right before New Year’s Eve. Full Gear being in LA, they should’ve gone with a Hollywood theme. I mean, yeah, WWE already did that by having WrestleMania in LA/Hollywood, and Toni Storm is the one with the Hollywood gimmick right now, but c’mon. At least parody California Love or Disneyland.

They still had a full and very entertaining Zero Hour with just three matches instead of four. Awesome match from Eddie VS Lethal for the ROH World title, and of course Triple J tried to get involved, but great move to have Ortiz show up and counteract that. Eddie retains, as I figured, and he’ll surely be on Final Battle against who knows. That is, if he still has the title since he’s willing to put BOTH his belts on the line every single round. And per that, Eddie also lets us know that there’s going to be some kind of AEW Continental Championship as like an answer to a WWE US Championship.

Great match from Claudio VS Buddy and I figured Claudio would win. And of course, great ROH World Tag Team Championship match with Joe & MJF being a kind of dysfunctional yet united front. MJoeF of course wins, but I should’ve figured The Gunns would beat MJF down to make him vulnerable for White. And Cole stepping up to be MJF’s substitute, that was both a logical move, but also something felt suspicious. Awesome main event with how MJF came back to fight White on his own, but Cole almost costing him two different times adds to just how suspicious Cole was tonight. Did Cole want to cost MJF? Who knows, because he still celebrated with MJF after.

I’m more surprised we didn’t get even one whiff of “The Devil of AEW” tonight. Makes me think that person wants us to still think MJF is the guy behind the mask playing both sides. Maybe it’s Cole after all? And that Cole is stringing MJF along until the time is right? And if so, perhaps they want to keep this going until Cole is 100% again so he and MJF can have a proper rematch to settle things once and for all. One thing not as surprising to me was that it was Ospreay as the new signee. I’m not disappointed, I felt it was him on Wednesday because it all makes sense. But I also appreciate him asking fans to wait a little longer, WrestleKingdom 18 is likely Ospreay’s last match as an NJPW talent, where he has to lose the IWGP UK/US title to either Moxley or more likely, David Finlay.

Speaking of Moxley, awesome match from him and Cassidy. Cassidy retaining was a slight surprise to me, but he hit the Orange Punch like half a dozen times so Moxley still looks strong in losing. That’ll probably be the same thing that happens to Moxley at WrestleKingdom where he, Ospreay and Finlay fight their hearts out, and it’s something over the top that allows Finlay to win and be the undisputed Whatever He’ll Call The Championship. But back to AEW, there was also good BCC VS Best Friends beef after, Yuta VS Hook for the FTW Championship is surely up next, I would think Hook retains, he is more FTW vibe than Yuta.

Opening with the Six Man Tag was an interesting choice but it worked out to set the pace for the main show. Of course Ric gets involved in stuff, and I figured Edge’s team would win. Christian Cage will now want revenge, and pretty sure he and Edge will fight over the TNT Championship. Then Toni Storm VS Hikaru Shida was great stuff, and great win for Storm but kinda hard to believe the ref did not see that shiny piece of metal on Storm’s butt. Still great for Storm to be a three-time champion but seems a shame that Shida is always the one getting shortchanged for other champions’ sakes.

Amazing ladder match, though still some risky spots as we’ve seen with AEW/ROH. Very surprised Starks & Morrissey won, and also surprised that the Bucks didn’t use their tag title shot MITB cash-in style. That would’ve been wild, but it probably would’ve also buried Starks & Morrissey. Because then The Bucks would’ve lost those titles right to Golden Jets and that would’ve been too much. Golden Jets winning out was what I figured would happen, making the Bucks go further Heel. Callis being on commentary, would The Bucks really join him? I feel like they hate Callis more than they do Jericho.

Awesome Triple Threat for the TBS Championship, and just as I figured, Julia wins without Kris looking weak since she did the damage. Great for Julia to be the one in The House of Black to have a title, and she probably makes Kris have to earn the rematch rather than use some contract clause. And then an awesome, brutal, gnarly Texas Deathmatch, definitely AEW’s most brutal match ever period. Though small gripe again, this was much like the previous Texas Deathmatch of Starks VS Bryan Danielson, aka a Last Man Standing match disguised as Texas Death. Story wise, I thought Hangman was going to win this. How does the guy who committed BNE win out?

But at the same time, he had Brian Cage help him, so of course Swerve wins. And now that Swerve is 2-0 on Hangman, that must mean he moves on from Hangman and goes after the AEW World Championship. Though, with Joe also getting his shot, and Wardlow waiting to pounce, who knows what happens by Worlds End. There’s also the Continental Classic that needs more entrants in it, and it’d be pretty awesome seeing Joe, Wardlow and Swerve in that. But either way, Swerve really should just move up to go after MJF and the world championship.
