V1 Hardy helps turn the tide at the last minute! Hardy “welcomes” Sammy back, will they finally settle their own score?

Jon Moxley speaks.

“I try to stay out of people’s business, I really do.” Moxley has a rule: If people leave him alone, he leaves them alone; if they don’t, he doesn’t. He thought his issues with Brian Cage were over, but then Cage had to go “put a beat down on my little compadre, Darby Allin, a kid half your size, and you didn’t even do it alone.” What would that say about Mox if he stood by and let it happen? He’d be a “punk b*tch,” wouldn’t he? Speaking of those, Ricky Starks has fallen in with the wrong crowd. Must feel so tough going 2v1. Let’s see how they like it when the odds are even. Moxley doesn’t start fights, but he always finishes them. Will it be finished between Mox and Cage tonight?

AEW TNT Championship: Cody Rhodes VS Warhorse!

The American Nightmare is giving an incredible opportunity to a rising star from the indies! But part of the challenge is to see how long Warhorse even lasts. Will he make the most of his 15 minutes of fame?

Silver gets in, to get one, too! Cardona clotheslines Reynolds out and has the ring! The crowd loves having the Long Island #StrongIsland in AEW!

AEW returns with Tony Schiavone on stage.

Tony hypes up September 5th, ALL OUT 2020! But wait, The Inner Circle comes out to interrupt this announcement because they are furious! Shut the music off and shut your mouths! Jericho and his team are furious given what happened the last month. They’re going to draw lines in the sand and issue ultimatums! Isn’t that right, Sammy? Yeah! Matt Hardy, that son of a b*tch, cost Sammy his first match back! This is NOT over! What’s son of a b*tch in Spanish? “Son of el b*tch.” Exactly.

And Orange Cassidy has been causing issues ever since Jericho beat him. Cassidy wants the rematch? Here’s a rematch! Two weeks from tonight, 8/12, there WILL be a rematch “of one of the greatest matches in AEW history!” Jericho VS Cassidy II! And when Jericho wins again, Cassidy will repay Jericho $7000 for ruining this jacket. What color is this jacket? Orange. Yes, it’s even more orange than before! It’s because of that demon orange juice Cassidy dumped on Jericho! Jericho will get revenge for that on 8/12, but next week, 8/5, “face to face,” Jericho challenges Cassidy to a debate! With a special guest moderator who will blow our minds.

But why a debate? Because not only will Jericho beat Cassidy physically, he will beat Cassidy up mentally as “one of the best orators of all time.” Jericho is the DEMO GOD! A debate, a rematch, and Cassidy will be exposed as a “filthy piece of trash.” Does it still smell like orange juice? Santana says it’s moving closer to cat pee… NOOO!! Ortiz emphasizes it’s like cat pee! Will Jericho get his revenge both mentally and physically against Freshly Squeezed?

AEW shares footage of a contract signing.

The official contracts for FTR, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, are on the table! They have their lawyer, and are ready to sign on the dotted line to one day become AEW World Tag Team Champions. Arn Anderson comes in as a tag team consultant and sits with Tony, the lawyers, and “the greatest team in the world.” Arn double checks the contract, making sure FTR knows about the rules so that they may follow them. 10 second rule on double teaming, must use tag ropes, and so on. What’s this one here? They whisper behind the papers, and agree to this. Also in the contract is Tony Khan’s promise that on 8/12, FTR gets the one night “Tag Team Appreciation Night” segment, as hosted by them. That’s all they need to hear, and they sign away.

Hangman Page comes by to check on FTR. Now it’s official, because they can drink to it! Some whiskey for everyone, even Tony. Arn will have to pass. Hangman really loads his up… Not the cheap stuff, wow. Gets in the nostrils. And Hangman realizes he did pour too much. No but it’s good, though. Cheers to the newest signings to the AEW Tag Division! Will FTR ride alongside The Cowboy and The Enforcer?

Speaking of Hangman, he and The Cleaner are about to face the still undefeated and still highly motivated original members of AEW’s resident cult! Uno and Grayson finally get a shot at the tag titles, will they hit the mark? Or will Omega and Hangman pull off some Best Bout Cowboy Sh*t to deny them the gold?

An interesting detail to note, Anna Jay has returned! It seems she did #JoinDarkOrder, but what Number is she? As for this highly anticipated match, the champions will make their way out, after the break!

Brodie grabs Stu by his face and pushes him. “Oh, Hangman, you think that’s funny?” Brodie sees his friends are here this time. Speaking of, the Bucks now move to ringside. Will the Dark Order’s strength in numbers eventually win out against the rest of AEW?

Britt Baker speaks.

“I just want to address something very quickly, because I know Big Swole is in the Women’s Tag Team Tournament.” Britt saw the commercial like we did, and she knows the suspension doesn’t last forever. She’s not dumb, she’s a dentist. But Britt knows more than anything, Swole wants to get “her grimy hands” on Britt because Swole is obsessed with Britt. After some careful thinking, Britt being a role model, she will give Swole her shot at Britt. But only if Swole can beat an opponent of Britt’s choosing. Don’t forget, Swole, this is still Britt’s division. Who will Britt choose to face Big Swole in an attempt to teach her a lesson?

AEW takes a closer look at Diamante.

The Cuban Diamond has been busting her ass for 10 years on the independents. For an unsigned talent to get a win over the champion would send her straight to the top to be a contender. Diamante wants the rest of the Women’s Division to fear her since they will feel her! Diamante will get it done by any means necessary, because she has nothing to lose and everything to prove. “The pressure makes diamonds.” Will that pressure help Diamante gain the gold?

Hikaru Shida VS Diamante!

The Samurai of Stardom is just one win away from being the first woman in AEW’s 20 Club! Will she get it off the determined Cuban Diamond?

Winner: Hikaru Shida, by pinfall

And there’s number 20! Shida continues to shine, but got one hell of a fight out of Diamante. Diamante may not have won the match, but did she just earn herself a contract with AEW?

AEW explains the rules of the Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw!

The tournament is a RANDOM draw to assign teams! The participants will draw colors from an assortment, thereby color coding teams. These selections are final and cannot be appealed! Who will have the luck of the draw to create the ultimate team? Who goes all the way to win the Women’s Tag Team Cup trophy? This tournament starts this Monday on AEW’s YouTube!

Backstage interview with Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero!

Having heard the Deadly Draw announcement, Dasha asks who the Native Beast and her new manager are looking forward to having as a tag partner. Vickie answers for Nyla by saying it doesn’t matter! That trophy is as good as theirs! So if you’ll excuse her, Nyla draws. She is on the purple team. Nyla likes purple. And wouldn’t you know, someone else has already drawn purple! It’s the new addition to AEW, Cameron! Or as she’s now known as, Arian. She’s back in wrestling, #GirlHi. Will Team Purple be able to coexist and take the cup? Or will it be #GirlBye the moment the Funcadactyl messes up?

Wardlow knocks on MJF’s door.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman walks out, admires his very politician style poster, “We Deserve Better as an AEW Champion,” gets fed a stick of gum by an assistant, and signs a form. Wardlow accompanies MJF to gorilla and out on stage. MJF has a presidential style seal on a podium as he waves to the crowd. AEW goes picture in picture as the entrance continues, no secret sweepstakes hashtag here apparently.

MJF says hi to commentary, but then gets hand sanitizer after shaking hands. And that’s probably not just a #StaySafeStayHealthy thing, either. MJF kisses a “baby” but also needs mouthwash for that. Again, probably not because of current circumstances, MJF just doesn’t like babies. MJF takes pictures with a “fan” wearing his button, and then admires one of his political signs. AEW goes to break as MJF finishes up the rounds, what will he have to say for his “State of the Industry Address?”

AEW returns and MJF has made it to his podium. MJF thanks the booing crowd for being here, and he thanks Tony Khan for giving MJF this time to speak to the marks- er, uh, people. MJF wants us to be honest, though. Wrestling fans aren’t that bright, but fortunately, he has “an exorbitant amount of time to force feed you all with knowledge like a 5-year-old being fed Mac ‘n’ Cheese.” The assistant tells him to stick to the notes. Right, sorry, honey. But please smile, you look much better that way. Moving on to the speech. “Before I start this speech, I would like to implore you, our AEW fans who we are so grateful for,” to use the following hashtags on social media. #MJF2020, #NotMyChampion. We will all find out why in a moment’s time, please bear with him.

MJF says that right now, the fans are probably shocked to see him on Dynamite two weeks in a row, instead of on the sidelines with all the bench warmers. Doing great, by the way, guys. MJF is sure the fans see his point and wonder why that happens to him. MJF will tell us why. “The reason I’m never spotlighted two weeks in a row is because a certain individual is afraid of being upstaged two weeks in a row.” That is why MJF says it is time for a change in leadership! Change: a powerful word. MJF remembers when AEW first started, men were calling for change. One man in particular called for a “paradigm shift.” That man called for out with the old and in with the new. MJF isn’t sure about the fans, but to him, a guy on top of the card who gets to do what he wants, say what he wants and face only who he wants “simply because he came from the place of ‘titans,'” isn’t new. That’s old hat, brother.

AEW quickly went from being a wrestling revolution to an unfortunate dictatorship. That is why Jon Moxley is #NotMyChampion! MJF cannot tell a lie, and will not stand here and pretend Moxley isn’t one of the greatest wrestlers this sport has ever seen. However, it is “high time that we as a society have an honest discussion about all the negative side effects that have occurred every since the Moxley reign has started.” Wrestling is on the marquee, and yet where is it? All MJF sees is a bunch of great wrestlers coming out to the ring and perform gymnastics, “flip, flop ‘n’ fly and-or almost DIE in an attempt to make you, the viewers, think they’re good at their job.” But he doesn’t blame the fans, because they were brainwashed into thinking that’s what good pro-wrestling is. That brainwashing starts all the way at the top.

“That is why, Jonathon, a world champion is supposed to lead by example. He is not supposed to let his roster mates come out here and play-wrestle, and he’s damn sure not supposed to come out here and cosplay as a specific wrestler, and that’s a stone cold fact.” MJF doesn’t have to play wrestler because he is one. He is undefeated, the first and the last MJF. You know what he isn’t? A media analyst. Yet, everyone wants to pretend to be because people want to talk about ratings! That is why “Dictator Jon” is treated so well! It all comes down to the value of his name! “Because where on Earth would the numbers lie without Dictator Jon, right?! Wrong.” On average, the one who draws better minute to minute is MJF! Did you not know that? That’s because Dictator Jon doesn’t want you to!

According to Dictator Jon, MJF is not on his level so why should he have to deal with MJF? How dare you! AEW is the land of opportunity but Moxley has squandered that! That is why they need a new guard, since the old guard has been running the planet for centuries, and look where it’s gotten us! War, famine, disease! The planet is dying and so are our morals, and so here we are! Moxley runs the show, and the infrastructure is falling and falling fast. MJF vows to catch this company, throw it on his back and carry it up the steep terrain all the way to the top! MJF’s talent outweighs Moxley’s tenure! MJF is AEW! MJF bleeds black, white and gold! MJF is the guy who will lead this company for the next 25 YEARS!! “Do the math and grab a calculator.”

That is why MJF will “not stop until we go from happily glad-handing for being ‘the alternative,’ and transform this brand into the pinnacle of professional wrestling!” That much the crowd can get behind. MJF challenges for the AEW World Championship for ALL OUT!! #WeDeserveBetter! But will MJF’s AEW truly be better?

AEW announces matches and segments for next week!

After the sudden attack and the subsequent save, Code Rhodes teams with Matt Cardona against The Dark Order’s Silver & Reynolds! Will the American Nightmare and #StrongIsland shut down the Beaver Boys? Woo woo woo, you know it! MJF also promises to continue his “campaign” with an update of sorts, but what more will he have to say in just a week’s time? And if you thought tonight’s 5v5 was big, The Dark Order takes on The Elite and FTR in a TWELVE MAN TAG!! Brodie Lee leads Uno, Stu, Angels, mean green Number 9 and even Colt Cabana against the Young Bucks, Omega, Page, Wheeler and Harwood! All this and more for AEW “Super Wednesday!”

No Disqualification Tornado Tag: Jon Moxley & Darby Allin VS Brian Cage & Ricky Starks w/ Taz!

The Maniac and the Undead Daredevil unite again, and this time it is to take on The Machine and Absolute to settle scores from the last few weeks. Will Moxley and Darby be enough to stop The Path of Cage?

But while Darby’s music plays, he doesn’t appear. Moxley makes his entrance from the crowd as always, but surely even he has to be worried something’s already happened to Darby. Is this about to become a No Disqualification Handicap match? Taz talks and mocks Moxley with, “Where’s your skateboard buddy?” Ricky Starks beat the living sh*t out of him and Darby couldn’t come back tonight? Moxley is going to be bounced around the ring the FTW Champion! Look at the deltoids! The traps! He’s got biceps like hammers and triceps like pistons! Then there’s “the always smooth,” Ricky Starks. Taz passes the mic and Starks says you are looking at Absolute! No one better, with Cage as the exception.

Starks is young, handsome, successful, “basically everything your baby mama wishes you were.” Speaking frankly, that is why Starks was recruited by Taz. Taz saw Starks has something different than Mox and Darby. “So when a man who choked out an Olympic gold medalist tells me to go get ’em, well guess what, baby? I got ’em.” That is no different than what happens tonight! Darby is the enigma, he’s mysterious~! Well Starks figured out that you dress like Pigpen and you wrestle like a crash test dummy, and there’s a huge stark contrast between them. That is why they can try to go against Cage or Starks, but when you try hard, you die hard! They’re gonna dig two graves tonight! Is this all but a forgone conclusion for Team Taz?

But speaking of, as Team Taz makes their entrance, Darby Allin COFFIN DROPS from the rafters!! Darby takes them both down and Moxley joins him on stage! Taz claims it was a trap, and maybe it was, but the brawl is on!

Cage turns things around and throws Moxley down the ramp. Darby stomps Starks as Cage kicks Moxley to ringside. Cage bumps Mox off the apron while Starks is floundering. Cage bumps Moxley off barriers then rocks him with a right hand. Darby clubs Starks on the ramp, Starks shoves him and clotheslines him into the ring! Starks goes after Darby but Darby kicks him back out! Moxley and Cage brawl, Moxley CHOPS and CHOPS but Cage ROUNDHOUSES! Darby PESCADOS at Cage but bounces off! Cage scoops Darby, does some curls, but Moxley DIVES! Cage goes down and the crowd fires up! Moxley helps Darby up and they start looking under the ring. Out comes a trash can! Moxley sets the can down as AEW goes picture in picture, #MoxDarbyCageStarks.

Moxley brings Cage around while Darby is on the apron, Starks intercepts Darby with a SPEAR! Mox shoves Cage away to KNEE Starks down in return. Moxley drags Starks up but Cage SMASHES Mox with the trash can! Cage boots Moxley down, Starks shakes out the cobwebs and Team Taz drag Moxley into the ring. Starks stomps Darby down and this match finally has a real start! Cage clubs Moxley and Starks adds stomps. Cage throws more forearms then whips Moxley corner to corner. Moxley hits buckles hard and falls back but Team Taz looms over him. Cage drags Moxley up, throws more forearms, and even CHOPS! Starks clubs Mox, but Moxley fights back! Moxley forearms and chops but runs into double elbows! Darby returns to missile dropkick Cage!

Darby baits Starks in, boots him, then jumps over to shotgun dropkick Starks down! Darby goes to the apron with Starks but Starks POSTS him! Moxley returns to grab Starks while he air guitars! Sleeper hold through the ropes! But Cage clubs Mox from behind! Cage scoops Moxley but Darby is up top and leaps! The seated senton doesn’t even make Cage wobble! Cage gives them the POWERSLAM POWERBOMB COMBO! But Cage doesn’t cover, he wants to hurt these guys. Cage kicks Moxley out, drags Darby up and AEW returns to single picture. Cage rams his shoulder into Darby at the corner, then brings him around for a GERMAN SUPLEX into Starks’ Edge-o-matic! Starks covers, TWO!! Darby survives so Starks stomps him down!

Cage drags Darby up and coordinates with Starks. Starks runs but into Moxley’s chair shot! Moxley throws forearms on Cage, then runs, into an uppercut! Cage runs, Moxley knees low! Moxley runs into Cage’s BOOT! Cage has Darby but Darby slips around to Throwback Stunner! Starks SPEARS Darby again! Starks runs into Moxley’s knee and CUTTER! But Moxley turns around into Cage’s DISCUS LARIAT! All four men are down and the crowd is fired up! Even Taz likes what he sees as Cage stands up first. Cage drags Moxley up, suplexes but Mox slips out. Cage elbows back, runs but Moxley ducks to get around, SNAP GERMAN! Moxley drags Cage up, PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO!! ARMBAR! Cage clasps hands, Stars KNEES Moxley down! Cover, TWO!

Starks rains down palm strikes on Moxley then stomps him. Cage goes out and brings in a trash can! Starks grabs the can, puts it in place, and brings Moxley around. Cage helps out to double suplex but Moxley blocks! Moxley fires body shots, runs into a SUPERKICK from Cage! Cage and Starks both Alabama lift Moxley for a DOUBLE ALABAMA SLAM onto the trash can! Cover, Darby breaks it in time! Starks rains down rights on Darby then kicks him. Starks drags Darby up, Team Taz double whip him to a corner, but Darby dodges Starks’ spear to POST him! Cage runs into boots, Darby runs into a pop-up! Cage tosses Darby but Mox saves him from the buckles! Darby boots Cage, Moxley kicks low, underhook and Darby climbs, COFFIN DROP PARADIGM SHIFT!! Moxley DIVES onto Starks! Darby covers Cage, TWO!!!

Cage survives and Taz freaks out on commentary. Darby has the crashed can and SMASHES it on Cage’s bad arm! Cage gets out of the ring, Darby follows but fetches something from under the ring. He has his skateboard, with all the tacks on the bottom! Starks hurries over but gets JAMMED with the edge! Darby goes up top with his board but Cage anchors him. Moxley hits a Drive By Dropkick, and gets the arm! Moxley has Cage anchored with the armbar, Darby aims at Starks, SKATEBOARD TACK ATTACK!! Cover, Darby and Moxley win!!

Winners: Darby Allin & Jon Moxley, by pinfall

Starks absolutely BLEEDS from his back as he and Cage are outsmarted and outdone by Darby and the Death Rider! Taz has to accept this because it was No Disqualifications. But will he accept this as the end of the war? Or just one battle of many? As for Darby and Moxley, the AEW World Championship is going to be on the line next week as Moxley faces Darby! Will these two go to new extremes as they go from allies to adversaries?

My Thoughts:

Another great episode of AEW, but there is clearly something that happened, or rather didn’t happen, that really hurts the quality of the show and AEW as a whole. Hikaru Shida VS Diamante was advertised on both AEW Dark and AEW social media as an AEW Women’s World Championship match. I’m not the only one who saw it, other wrestling sites saw the announcement, too. Of course, the tweet announcing it is gone, as if to hide the evidence, but it’s too late, we all saw it. It really bummed me out when the match was just a normal match, and not all that much of one, either. I almost have to think the advertising wasn’t a mistake so much as showing their hand for plans they have in the coming weeks and they got the timing wrong.

Another thing that wasn’t exactly to my liking was MJF doing a political shtick. Now, the promo MJF gave was still great because he is a great talker. He makes points I’ve heard before, and his points are fairly valid. And admittedly, his presidential seal looks good, too. I feel like this all would’ve worked even better if he was aiming for Cody, but at the same time, MJF aiming for the top is very MJF of him. Moxley, Darby, Cage and Starks have a great No DQ main event, and I suppose it makes a lot of sense for Darby to get the finish so he gets his revenge. Mox VS Darby for the title next week will be great stuff, but definitely expect Wardlow and MJF to show up to make a point of MJF wanting the title match for All Out.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the 5v5 start the night, it was a lot of wild fun, and it works for Cassidy and company to win to extend the story. Jericho referencing politics with the debate next week is apparently a sign this is how AEW is going to do things for a minute, because 2020 being the big election year. Again, not really my thing but Jericho trying to get Cassidy to talk about anything is actually a pretty good idea. Their rematch set for 8/12 is going to be great, too, happy to see that. Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara aren’t through with each other, and I wouldn’t mind seeing Sammy bring Proud ‘n’ Powerful along to take on Hardy Party so that the story between Private Party and Matt Hardy can also progress at the same time.

FTR signing their “official” contracts was a good segment, it really pushes that tease of AEW’s Four Horsemen with Arn being in FTR’s corner and now Hangman being a drinking buddy. The tag title match was great, Omega and Page retain without dysfunction, and now bringing the Dark Order further into the story is great. That 6v6 is going to be wild. Cody Rhodes VS Warhorse was great stuff, though it was pretty clear Cody would retain. The great surprise is Matt Cardona, aka Zack Ryder, making a debut by saving Cody! It seems The Dark Order VS The Elite (and friends) is the next feud and that’s really great. I’m glad we got to see Anna Jay again, even if she was just standing their in her sequin mask. She could bring The Dark Order into the Women’s Division, especially with the Deadly Draw and the tag tournament coming.

Speaking of that tournament, Nyla Rose getting Arian/Cameron as a partner could actually turn out pretty good for both of them. Arian is returning to televised wrestling so she’ll get some shine literally tagging along with a monster Heel like Nyla. And if Nyla’s team is going to lose, it’ll be because Arian takes the loss to keep Nyla strong. I feel like “fate” will keep the Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie, together for them to go far, but there could still be the betrayal we’ve all been anticipating. Britt Baker calls out Swole, but who is she going to have Swole face if Nyla is busy with the tag tournament? I suddenly fear it might be Abadon… Either way, Swole has to win that so that she and Britt can have an All Out match.

My Score: 9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Adam Cole is here!

Ontario, California fires up for the Panama City Playboy, and he brings his AEW TNT Championship to the ring. The fans join in for the “BOOM!” and “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” Cole grabs a mic to ask, “Who’s ready for Story Time with Adam Cole, Baybay?” Now, the reason he has a giant smile is because this is the 100th episode of Collision! The strides that Collision has made in such a short time is impressive. Cole wants to thank the fans. AEW has the best wrestlers on the planet delivering some of the best matches we’ve ever seen, and dammit, these are the best fans he has ever been in front of!

“AEW is built on the future, and I’m excited about the future. Because right now, I am your TNT Champion, and this title is going nowhere. I am proud of where Collision has been, and I’m proud of where it is going. I am proud to represent TNT as your TNT Champion. I am proud about our future. In 2025 and beyond, I will hold onto this championship, because dammit, I’m Adam Cole, Baybay. And that is undisputed.” The fans cheer, but here comes Kyle Fletcher! The fans are torn as the Protostar has a mic to say, “Pardon the interruption, Adam, but I just wanted to personally congratulate everybody, and especially you, on such a huge milestone. 100 episodes of Collision, that’s huge!

“And you’ve had a fantastic run as the Face of TNT. But the next 100 episodes of Collision and the entire future of this company belong to ME.” The fans are torn on that, too, but Kyle says Cole loves to do story time. How about story time with the Protostar? Now, does Cole remember All In 2023? Of course he does! He main-evented the biggest pro-wrestling show of all time for the AEW World Championship. But earlier that night, he faced a young ‘n’ hungry Kyle Fletcher for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. And while that was the greatest night of Cole’s life, that was the WORST night of Kyle’s!

Cole took away the biggest accomplishment of Kyle’s life, purely to stroke his own ego. But now, Kyle stands here a totally different man. Kyle KILLED that version of Kyle to stand here the most perfect pro-wrestler in the world! Again, the fans are torn, but Kyle says he wants nothing more than to make Cole feel exactly how he did two years ago. So at All In: Texas, Globe Life Field, Kyle wants his shot at HIS TNT Champions! The fans like where this is going! Kyle says everyone int he world knows no one is more deserving of that shot! But wait! Daniel Garcia makes his way out here! The fans cheer as Daniel Garcia joins Kyle on stage.

Garcia asks, “What’s good, Ontario?” And he hears all this talk about the past of Collision, the future of Collision, the future of AEW, the TNT title, but when you talk about those things, you better bring up one name: Daniel Garcia. Now, Fletcher, their match is the main event. Garcia isn’t looking past Kyle, but he would be lying if he said he wasn’t a little distracted. Because when Garcia looks in the ring, he sees the man who beat him for the TNT Championship and that belt over his shoulder. Garcia can only think one thing to himself: “I need that.” Cole says he has all the respect for Garcia, and any time, any place that Garcia wants his shot, he’s got it.

But do not forget, Cole beat him before and he’ll beat him again. As for Kyle, the person living in Lala Land is just lying to himself. Last time, Cole had Kyle beat, and the Don Callis Family had to get involved because they knew it, and Kyle knows it. Cole had his number then and has his number now. So here’s a great idea: Let’s just go All In! Kyle wants his shot at the TNT title, Garcia wants his shot at the TNT title, and Cole is a fighting champion. At All In, he’ll face them both! Kyle says no no no, that’s not gonna happen. Kyle was screwed out of the title once, he won’t do it again. Kyle beat Garcia when he was TNT Champion, and he never got his shot!

Kyle says in a perfect and just world, HE would be here as TNT Champion! Garcia says oh c’mon, Kyle thinks he deserves to be a champion just cuz he beat Garcia? Congrats, who hasn’t beat Garcia? Garcia has been losing for his entire career, for his entire life, but every time he loses, he gets back up. The fans applaud that! Garcia says every time he fails, he gets back up! So Cole, Kyle, he isn’t asking for his shot because he “deserves” one, he wants to earn it. So here’s another idea: Garcia and Kyle are already in a big main event match, but let’s put it all on the line! Garcia VS Kyle, winner goes on to have the biggest match of their lives against Adam Cole for the TNT Championship!

The fans cheer, Kyle is annoyed, but Cole says if that’s how they wanna play it, that’s how they’ll do it. May the best man win. Garcia raised the stakes of tonight’s main event, but will he be ready to go All In? Or will the Aussie Arrow be the one flying to Texas?

Toni Storm speaks.

“This is a message for that the little girl watching from home. The one who begged her parents to buy All In so that she could sit in front of the television to watch the greatest women’s match of all time. It won’t be. It will be a lesson, and the lesson is this: Someone can only hurt you as much as you let them, and when they can’t hurt you anymore, if they hurt the people you love, you have absolutely every right to rip their bloody tits off. Some things in life are not worth fighting for. But if you’re lucky, one thing in your whole life will be worth every last drop of blood. Fortunately for me, that thing happens to be the big shiny gold belt that I wear around my waist.

“What you’re about to witness will change you in foul ways. Probably our mother, too. It won’t be nice, it won’t be pretty, but you will remember it forever. Hopefully, it will discourage you from becoming a wrestler yourself, because there are only two kinds of people in this world: Ruthless, greedy, power-hungry megalomaniacs who will stop at nothing to have it all, and the people who end them. Good night, darling. See you next week.”

Triple Threat: Shelton Benjamin w/ MVP VS Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Nick Wayne w/ The Patriarchy!

Montel Vontavious Porter has practically begged for teams to step up to the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and he got what he wanted! #JetSpeed wants their shot, but so does The Patriarchy! This won’t automatically make a title match, but it could go a long way to putting one together. Will The Jet be 2Fly2Stop? Will The Prodigy make Christian Cage proud? Or will neither of them measure up to the Standard of Excellence?

The bell rings and Knight is right after Shelton! Nick bails out to let them brawl, and Shelton CLUBS Knight, then KNEE him down! Nick returns to CLUB Shelton, but that just makes Shelton mad! Nick runs away with a smug grin on his face, but Knight DROPKICKS Shelton! Shelton tumbles out, but he drags Knight out to join him! Shelton LARIATS Knight, then brings him around the way. MVP tells Shelton to get serious with these kids. Nick kicks Knight, puts him in a corner, then RAMS into those bad ribs.

The fans rally but Nick RAMS Knight again. And again! Nick mocks the applause from the fans while Collision goes picture in picture.

Nick paces, drags Knight up, and snapmares him for a leg drop! Cover, TWO! Knight stays in this but Shelton is back! Shelton sneaks up behind Nick, Nick backs up into him and realizes what’s going on. Shelton hits a BIG back suplex! Nick flounders away, Shelton stalks Knight, and Shelton LARIATS Knight! Then whisp him hard into the corner! Knight slumps, Shelton whips him OUT of the ring, then goes out after Nick. Shelton drags Nick up to scoop and SLAM him on the floor! Nick writhes, Shelton paces, and MVP tells him not to play with his food. Shelton scoops Nick to SLAM him again! Shelton leaves Nick behind to go after Knight.

Knight CHOPS! And CHOPS! Shelton CHOPS in return! Knight staggers away to the corner, but Shelton puts him in the ring. Shelton then goes back to Nick, wraps on a SLEEPER, but Nick JAWBREAKERS free! Nick hurries into the ring, brings Knight up, and snapmares for a chinlock. Knight endures as Nick squeezes tight, and Collision 100 returns to single picture. Bailey coaches Knight, Kip Sabian & Mother Shayna coach Nick, and Knight rises up. Knight fires body shots, the fans rally, but Nick cravats for a neck wrench. Knight fires more shots, fires forearms, and he ROCKS Nick! Knight runs, Shelton is back, FLAPJACK!

The fans fire up as Shelton also scops Nick, tilt-o-whirl POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Nick toughs it out but MVP says this child shouldn’t even be in the ring with Shelton. Shelton hauls Nick up, Nick sunset flips, TWO! Shelton high stacks, Knight springboards to FLYING SUNSET FLIP! Knight has the cover on Shelton, TWO as Nick ghost pins Knight! TWO!! Knight escapes, Shelton runs up, but Knight & Nick dodge! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS take Shelton down! The fans fire up and MVP is frustrated. Nick and Knight run, dodge, and DOUBLE CROSSBODY! The fans fire up as all three men are down!

Nick and Knight rise, Nick fires a forearm first! Knight fires back! Nick hits Knight again, but Knight fires back! Nick HEADBUTTS, but Knight fires another forearm! Nick fires a flurry of forearms, then ROLLING- SUPERKICK from Knight! Nick ends up in a corner, the fans fire up with Knight, and Knight whips Nick at Shelton! Shelton picks Nick up for a POWERBOMB onto Knight! The fans fire up with Shelton now, and he waits on Nick. Nick rises, Shelton reels him in, GERMAN SUPLEX! Nick flounders away, Shelton watches Knight! GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up as Shelton GERMAN SUPLEXES Nick again!

Shelton then brings Knight back up, and he GERMAN SUPLEXES again! The fans fire up more while Shelton paces. Shelton runs in at the corner to STEP-UP KNEE Knight! Then he runs to STEP-UP KNEE Nick! The fans rally behind Shelton as he runs in at Knight. Knight DUMPS Shelton to the apron, DECKS him, but Nick runs up and FLIES! Down goes Shelton! Knight is stunned, but he aims to springboard and DOUBLE FLYING LARIAT! The fans fire up again as Knight rises to his feet! Knight puts Nick in, “This is Awesome!” as Knight runs to U F O onto knees! Nick runs, hops on, CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!!

Nick is stunned but Knight survives! Nick vows to end this, pump handle, but Knight small packages! TWO!! Knight DROPKICKS Nick down! The bad ribs slow Knight down but he still goes to the corner. Knight kicks Nick out, he sees Shelton, and Knight runs up, only to be put on the top rope! ANKLE LOCK! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands, Knight is on the ropes! Nick is in and he ROUNDHOUSES Shelton! Handspring, STUNNER! Cover, Knight hits the MOTHERSHIP!! Cover, KNIGHT WINS!!

Winner: Kevin Knight, by pinfall

The Jet manages to keep his flight plan on course, he just pinned a tag team champion! Will the Hurt Syndicate have no choice but too accept JetSpeed’s challenge?

AEW shares footage from after Dynamite 300.

A reporter caught up with the Death Riders, wanting a word, but Moxley just pushed past the cameras. The reporter still asked, so Claudio decided to talk. “Opps. I’m not gonna yell, I’m not gonna scream, but I’m sick of you sticking your nose into our business. You wanna be heroes? I give you the opportunity to prove that you are heroes.” Claudio vents in German, but he translates that the Trios Championships are his! Yuta adds, “And mine, too!” All In: Texas, there is a score to settle! But wait, the Death Riders are down a man. Who will join the Swiss Cyborg & Decoder on facing Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & “Powerhouse” Hobbs?

Six Man Tag: Mark Briscoe, Holo.grm & Mistico VS Hechicero & Roppongi Vice!

It is time to once again conglomerate, and tonight’s word of the day is commemorate! But will the Sussex County Chicken, the high-tech/high-flying luchador and the Talisman of CMLL also be the ones to celebrate? Or will the Don Callis Family cause them to commiserate?

The trios sort out, but then the Don Callis Family just attacks! The fans boo but the bell rings as Hechi beats up Hologram, Rocky Romero stomps Mistico, and Trent Beretta fires hands on Briscoe! Hechi bumps Hologram off buckles while Briscoe is kicked out of the ring. The fans boo but the Don Callis Family soaks up the heat. Rocky UPPERCUTS Mistico down, then Hechi wrenches Mistico’s arm. Rocky BOOTS Mistico down, the fans rally behind the CMLL icon, but Rocky whips. Mistico handsprings to BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up and Mistico knuckle locks to CHOP! Mistico goes up, up, and points to the sky before he FLYING ARM-DRAGS!

The fans fire up and Mistico runs in again. Rocky puts him on the apron but Mistico dodges the haymaker to GAMANGIRI! Mistico ROCKS Rocky, tags Briscoe, then RANAS Rocky! Winners: Mark Briscoe, Hologram y Mistico, by submission

The fans sing along with Me Muero for the winners! Will this momentum help Briscoe, Hologram and Mistico have a great showing in the Casino Gauntlet? Oh, wait, speaking of, MJF & MVP interrupt via the tron. MJF asks if MVP saw that amazing finish. This is so exciting! Hologram, go teleport your ass back to the hotel, MJF doesn’t care about you. MJF is here to talk to Mistico and Briscoe, aka Jabroni y El Jabroni. MVP likes that, that’s clever. MJF says he knows Spanish. But MVP says we don’t “talky talk,” that is for poor, uneducated chicken farmers. MVP says men like him and MJF converse. They speak the language of violence.

So let’s converse right now. MJF says Briscoe wants to talk to him one-on-one, but MJF isn’t so sure. Nowadays, he rolls with his clique. When you’re in the Syndicate, you ride together, you die together, they hurt people. But MJF will still consider it. But as for Mistico, MJF knows he’s all excited to be in the gauntlet. IS HE? Because last time MJF checked, he’s gonna beat Briscoe within an inch of his life and pin him before anybody gets a chance to make an entrance. So now, they can go back to do what poor people do. MJF doesn’t know what that is, maybe count food stamps or something. MVP, talk us out.

MVP says he appreciates all the enthusiasm, but they’re way out of their league. MVP tells Mistico, in Spanish, that he is the biggest idiot in Mexico! MJF says it ain’t personal, it’s just business. MJF & MVP head out, but will Briscoe, Mistico, and just about everyone else in the gauntlet line-up make sure MJF does not win it?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Lexy Nair is with The One & Only and brings up how the Gates of Agony absolutely decimated AR Fox for him. Ricochet spoke with them in private, does he care to share that with us? Um, no. HAHA! Because what the Gates and Ricochet talked about is none of anyone’s business. But what they will see are his actions. Actions speak louder than words. So come with him, cameraman. Ricochet leaves Lexy behind as he goes into the hall, then shows that the Gates of Agony already took out Blake Christian & Lee Johnson! If you want Ricochet’s respect, you earn it. That is a command. Oh, and, uh… AHA~!

Ricochet & The Gates leave, will the Vanilla Babyface & Big Shotty even be able to stand, let alone earn Ricochet’s respect?

Willow Nightingale VS Vipress!

The Babe with the Power is ready for a Collision, but she also wants to build momentum this close to the Women’s Casino Gauntlet at All In. Will Willow fight her way to a top spot? Or will she feel snakebit after facing the Vipress?

Winner: Willow Nightingale, by pinfall

Willow puts that one away quick, but will it be so easy to do that in the Casino Gauntlet? Or will the former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, former AEW TBS Champion, former CMLL Women’s World Champion, and former Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner soon add a Women’s Casino Gauntlet to her list of achievements?

AEW shares more footage from after Dynamite 300.

Renee Paquette found Anthony Bowens after the Men’s Casino Gauntlet #2 spot Fatal 4, and asked him how he felt after his defeat. He talked about his strategy going into the match, so- Bowens stops her there. There’s no room for negativity as the Pride of Pro-Wrestling. Billy Gunn then walks in, and he helps Bowens stand up. Bowens thanks Billy for the help now. Sorry, Billy thought the strategy was for him to not be ringside. Billy says he doesn’t know what Bowens is doing with all this. Bowens asks since when was that part of the strategy. He never said he didn’t want Billy out there. Well, that’s what Billy heard him say. He was back here watching the whole time.

Maybe Bowens doesn’t get this, but just because he’s a singles guy now doesn’t mean he’ll be world champion overnight. There will be bumps in the road, but they need to figure this out together. They can make it all work out. Bowens says Billy has been promising that for weeks but results need to happen now. All In is next week, Bowens has to win the gauntlet! He lost the chance at being #2 so now what? Trust Billy. Bowens & Billy scissor, but can Daddy Ass help the 5 Tool Player find the path to the top?

8 Woman Tag: Thunder Rosa, Queen Aminata & TayJay VS Athena, Thekla, Megan Bayne & Julia Hart!

Given how the last time we had an All-Star 8 Woman Tag, Red Velvet snuck a little something-something in there, we’re obviously going to run it back. La Mera Mera once again teams with the One True African Queen, the Blackbelt Brazilian and the Star of the Show, but Team Fallen Goddesses made a substitution: They tagged out the Superbad Girl for the Princess of the Black Throne. While the Fallen Goddess was running from her challenger, the Megasus dominated for her team. Will this be exactly what Megan does once she’s in the Casino Gauntlet? As for Athena, will the Forever Champion end up losing the title she’s held for TWO YEARS to Thunder Rosa? Or will Supercard of Honor not be her final battle?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The Dynamite before All In sees an All Star 8 Man Tag! The Death Riders once again team up with The Young Bucks to take on Hangman Page, Will Ospreay, Katsuyori Shibata & Will Hobbs! Will Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and the EVPs abuse their power and have the edge going into All In? Or can Cowboy, Assassin, Wrestler and Powerhouse bring down the house before going to Globe Life Field? But that’s not all as the odd men out, Samoa Joe and Wheeler Yuta, will go 1v1! Will the Opps or the Death Riders have the advantage going into a World Trios Championship match?

Plus, after the big match we just saw, Megan Bayne, Tay Melo, Queen Aminata and Thekla will all be in a Fatal 4 Way! The winner will be the Women’s Casino Gauntlet #2 entrant, who takes their destiny into their own hands?

Alex Windsor speaks.

“For eight long years, I wrestled on the UK independent scene, and when I was finally hitting my stride, I had my leg taken out from under me and I tore my ACL. There was a point where I didn’t think I’d ever be able to wrestle again. But there was just something that would not let me quit, because I knew the only thing that could make me feel human again, the only thing that could bring me back from the edge, was being inside a wrestling ring. And although I am All Elite now, the mission doesn’t stop until there is gold around my waist. I want to prove to my son what his mum has had to endure to become one of the best in the world.

“I am Iron Will, I am Alex Windsor!” Will Alex prove she is unbreakable when she finally gets back in that AEW ring?

AEW TNT Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Daniel Garcia VS Kyle Fletcher!

Adam Cole joins commentary for this one, but so has Don Callis, because this one is all about who Cole faces at All In. The Red Death held the title previously, but he admittedly did lose to the Protostar during the Continental Classic. Will Kyle correct the oversight of not getting a title match? Or will the Dragonslayer go from one redemption to another?

The bell rings, the fans rally, and the two circle. They tie up, Kyle puts Garcia in a corner, the ref counts, and Callis praises Kyle’s physical strength. Kyle backs off with a roll, then he puts up his dukes to mock Garcia’s dance. Garcia says that’s not even close, but he and Kyle reset. Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contender to the AEW TNT Championship)

Daniel Garcia fought his heart out, but his body could not withstand the viciousness of Kyle Fletcher. And now, the Aussie Arrow is aimed squarely at Adam Cole. Will the Protostar make himself the Face of TNT? Or will this title stay undisputed?

My Thoughts:

A great 100th episode of Collision, even with it being prerecorded on Wednesday. FTR VS Outrunners was an awesome match, and naturally FTR was winning, but it was a nice touch for Stokely to be involved right at the end so that The Outrunners’ power level isn’t hurt by the loss. The tag title story is a bit disconnected, though, as apparently Nick Wayne “interrupted” a Hurt Syndicate interview. It was a YouTube exclusive, not part of Dynamite, so Nick Wayne jumping into what they framed as Shelton VS Knight was weird. And even then, Knight won the Triple Threat by pinning Shelton, shouldn’t it just be JetSpeed VS Lashley & Shelton? And I’m pretty sure the only reason for the Triple Threat is so that Hurt Syndicate can lose the belts without taking the finish.

Great Six Man Tag from Briscoe, Hologram & Mistico VS Don Callis Family, and great win for the Faces. Good promo from MJF and MVP, but not really needed. They just wanted to step on Briscoe’s celebration before having the “talky talk” moment next week. Awesome return for Scorpio Sky after roughly 600 days of being away, and he of course got a win over Max Caster. The main thing from this is that Sky is also now leading a new faction with Christopher Daniels. Hopefully Top Flight gets some direction with this, they’ve been in a holding pattern for so long. And that’s not even the injuries, they’ve both been back for a good amount of time and they’ve only been contenders to the tag titles, not winners.

Very good promo from Claudio to call out The Opps, and I’m starting to really feel like Hook joins Death Riders as payback on Samoa Joe for replacing him so easily. Willow got a good win but it was mostly so we could have that moment of Kris and Yuta where Kris is still resistant to the idea of joining Death Riders. Great 8 Woman Tag, and Athena being scared of getting in the ring with Rosa was some good stuff. Another strong win for the Heels, and I feel like Megan is going to have a great showing in the Casino Gauntlet. But with Alex Windsor having another good promo, I feel like she could be a favorite to win. Then Alex faces the winner of Toni VS Mone at Forbidden Door. Good promo from Toni Storm, but it didn’t really add that much to the build.

And finally, something for the TNT Championship. Great promo to open the night, and it naturally raised the stakes on the main event. Garcia VS Fletcher was awesome, and that moment near the end with them both down on the outside really teased a double count out to make a Triple Threat for All In. But in the end, Kyle overwhelms Garcia and is the standalone #1 contender. Cole VS Fletcher is going to be awesome, and probably could go either way. But if the Don Callis Family is going to be as big as it is, it also needs to win some gold. There’s potential for them to really clean up next weekend with Konosuke Takeshita going for the ROH World Championship, Okada VS Omega for the “unified” championship, and now Fletcher going for the TNT title.

My Score: 9/10
