Team Taz is here!

Ricky Starks and Taz himself accompany The Machine to the ring and Taz says what we’re about to witness is the FTW Champion live on Dynamite! But, Taz is a little distracted because look who is up in the nosebleeds. It’s “The face of the network,” the brand new TNT Champion, Darby Allin. Let’s hear it for him! Fans cheer but Taz gives Darby some advice. Last time they saw him, he was splattered on the hood of his own car, courtesy of Team Taz. Taz tells Darby to keep his “narrow ass” in his seat and stay away from the ring. If he doesn’t, he’s getting put out again! And while he’s sitting there, go call Cody Rhodes and let him know the same thing! If Cody crosses paths with them, he’ll get his ass kicked again!

Here’s the deal: The Machine is about to wrestle “a man who is respected in locker rooms all over this world.” Cage is about to wrestle a man who respects those who came before him. Darby doesn’t have that capability! Taz is talking about Matt Sydal! Sydal and Darby have a lot in common: tenacious, pugnacious and fearless, as well as victories over mega stars. Darby beat Cody, Sydal holds a victory over Chris Jericho. That’s no joke and Sydal is no joke, so Taz wants this to happen right now! Cage VS Sydal, let’s go!

Matt Sydal VS Brian Cage w/ Team Taz!

Who can stop the Path of Cage? Sydal is going to try. But will the high-flyer be sent flying by the Swolverine as a message to the Relentless TNT Champion?

The bell rings and Sydal says his third eye is too powerful. Cage lifts Sydal but Sydal slips off! Sydal ducks and dodges to then enziguri Cage to a corner! And then he hits a basement dropkick! But Cage gets right up to throw Sydal to the corner and throw clothesline after clothesline! Cage whips Sydal corner to corner hard! Fans duel as Cage drags Syyal up and CHOPS him! Cage wrenches Sydal and reels him in over a OVERHEAD suplex! Fans cheer the display of power and Cage clubs Sydal. Cage whips, Sydal kicks back and throws forearms! Sydal runs, but into a hip toss backbreaker! Fans duel again as Cage stalks behind Sydal.

Cage drags Sydal up, whips him corner to corner hard again, then takes his time walking over. Fans rally up but Cage RAMS into Sydal! And again! Cage almost puts Sydal into the post! But he brings him back in for a BACKBREAKER! Sydal flounders but Cage looms over him. Cage drags Sydal up, bumps him off buckles and throws forearms! The ref reprimands, Cage drags Sydal up and whip shim corner to corner. Sydal goes up and over and dropkicks! Cage stays up to CLOBBER Sydal! Starks is ringside to mock Sydal’s third eye while Cage stalks over. Fans rally up but Cage drags Sydal up to do bicep curls with him! After a set of 10, Cage FALL AWAY SLAMS Sydal away! Cover, TWO!

Cage keeps his cool as Sydal survives and fans rally up. Cage digs a knee in for the motorcycle stretch but Sydal endures. Fans continue to rally, Sydal fights his way up then drops down to kick Cage! Sydal KICKS and CHOPS on repeat! Then he throws haymakers and whips, but Cage reveres to scoop, only for Sydal to slip out and KICK again! Cage puts Sydal in a corner to clothesline! And uppercut! And enziguri! Cage GERMAN SUPLEXES but Sydal lands on his feet! Cage pops Sydal up, blocks the rana but Sydal slips out. Sydal ducks the clothesline and manages a POP UP BOMB?! Cage gets to the ramp, Sydal climbs up and leaps, METEORA! Taz can’t believe the impact!

Sydal puts Cage in the ring and climbs up again. But Cage gets up and under the shooting star. Cage blocks the kick, gut wrenches and lifts but Sydal sunset flips! Cage stays up, Sydal slips out the back to KICK away on the leg, then QUESTION MARK! PAGE TURNER! Cover, TWO!! Sydal STANDING SKY TWISTERS! Cover, TWO!! Cage is still in this and Taz is growing worried. Starks coaches Cage up while fans rally and duel. Sydal KICKS Cage in the chest, and then KICKS him in the back! Sydal wrenches and kicks but into a pump handle, but Sydal slips out! Cage rolls Sydal, spins but the discus misses, Sydal SOBATS and ROUNDHOUSES! PAGE- NO! DISCUS!!

Cage fires up and fans duel again. Cage drags Sydal up, reel shim in and suplexes, but into a RANA! Cover, TWO!?! Cage barely escapes and Sydal can’t believe it! Fans duel about the count, Sydal KNEES Cage down! Sydal hurries to a corner, climbs up top, Taz panics but Cage catches the blockbuster to a DRILL CLAW!! Cover, Cage wins!

Winner: Brian Cage, by pinfall

Taz is very relieved and is excited to see the power of the Machine! Team Taz regroups and Starks says that was incredible! What everyone feels now is what we felt at Full Gear! Team Taz is officially ranked because they get things done! The next step is the TNT Championship! It doesn’t matter who is in the way, they are putting you in the grave! A promise on Anita’s life, Team FTW’s presence will be felt and the revolution will be televised!

Cody Rhodes is here!

The American Nightmare is back with his full name, but without the title. “It seems like we’re having a bit of a weather, huh? You guys okay?” Cody will go ahead and say like he has on social media, congratulations to the new TNT Champion, Darby Allin. “In the spirit of full transparency, I can go ahead and say that Arn Anderson and myself will not be seeking a rematch at this time.” There’s another match, another loss, Cody wants to expunge and be vindicated. He is strongly considering a match with MJF. Whoa, who is this magically appearing behind him? “Can I help you?” She snatches the mic right from him and says, “I don’t know. Can you?”

“Cody, how dare you sit here and lie to our prestigious AEW audience?” She says to everyone wondering, she is Jade Cargill. And she is the “Total Package, baby!” Cody applauds the bravado as she continues. “I’ve been sitting on the sideline week after week, studying my competition. And you, Cody Rhodes, the American Nightmare. The Prince of Pro-Wrestling.” In fact, she remembers him saying he’s a Giant Killer. What does he know about giants? There is nothing giant about him. Whoa~! She knows a giant. A real giant. “And slick statements like yours? That’s an echo loud enough to wake him.” Next time Cody thinks out loud, she suggests he keeps that s*it to himself! Watch out, giant killer. She is nothing to be played with.

“Oh and by the way, congratulations on your name. But I guess you didn’t have the balls to go by one name. That giant you were talking about? He was the real star. And you know what his name is? Shaq.” But then Brandi comes out and asks Jade, “Who the hell told you it was open mic night, b*tch?!” UH OH! Jade lookin’ real confused so Brandi will make this real clear! Jade up here, in BRANDI’S house, smackin’ her lips at Brandi’s man, and now she’s Brandi’s problem! UH OH! Brandi will make this real easy, too. “Don’t you ever, EVER talk to him like that again! Don’t you even LOOK at him!” And y’know what else? Take that ratchet triflin’ ass out of here, and do not come back until Brandi sends for you. “Got that, heifer?! Good, great, cool. B*tch, get yo’ ass outta here.”

Brandi goes to leave, and Jade gives her a pat on the butt?! Staff hurries out here to keep this from firing off! Will the Nightmare Family have their hands full with Shaquille O’Neil’s family? But wait! Cage comes back to sneak attack Cody! POWERBOMB!! Starks returns to add on, but here comes Darby! Darby got out of his seat and went right to ringside! He gets in, dodges Starks and springboards to Trust Fall and weaponize his jacket of thumbtacks! Starks scrambles away but Cage stares him down. So Code gets Cage with an uppercut! Darby runs in to BACK BODY BLOCK with the tack jacket!

Cage bails out and regroups with Starks and Taz! Cody dares them to try some more but Taz has his guys fall back. Will Hobbs shows up, too! Team Taz definitely takes their leave now! Will Cody, Hobbs and Darby take the fight to Team Taz and finally shut them up?

Backstage interview with Jon Moxley.

He is STILL AEW World Champion after perhaps the most violent, physically draining match in this company’s history. Moxley made Eddie Kingston say “I Quit,” but Alex Marvez asks if Moxley is worried about his new contender, Kenny Omega. Moxley says something just occurred to him while enduring more pain than he has in his life. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to say “I Quit,” it’s that he just couldn’t. Moxley first came here, the responsibility of being champion didn’t really interest him. He just wanted to snap bones, hurt people, knock them out, enjoy the thrill of combat and the roar of the crowd in the greatest sport there is.

But things change. You grow up in this business. And finally, Moxley realized this title everyone who can’t pay their bills, who are disenfranchised. This title is for every little kid who gets teased for being a pro-wrestling fan. Moxley can’t and won’t quit, he will never quit. It doesn’t matter what lays ahead. And he has a big challenge in one of the greatest wrestlers to ever live in Kenny Omega. Moxley won that legendary battle. But beating him once is one thing. Beating him twice? That takes someone really special, and that is Moxley. Moxley is the greatest wrestler in the world today! He creates magic in the ring. If anyone can beat Omega twice, it’s him. But he’s just a man. One day, someone will shut Moxley’s lights off. But if Omega’s going to try, then good luck.

BREAKING NEWS on Moxley VS Omega!

The AEW World Championship match between Maniac and Cleaner is coming up fast! December 2nd, we will have this rematch from Full Gear 2019!! Who will close the year out with that title?!

Allie had her fun toying with the emotions of QT Marshall, but is back with The Fam. There’s no more games and anything goes! Will QT and Dustin Rhodes finally pay the Bunny back for all she and her family did to them?

Looking around the ring, the origins of this match type become clear. Butcher CHAIR SHOTS back! Dustin staggers and falls out of the ring, Butcher CLUBS him and LASHES him! Dustin has the kendo stick to SMACK Butcher!

This was a brutal way for this grudge to end, but QT has gotten his revenge on the Bunny that used him and the Butcher and Blade that abused him! Will QT and Dustin head up the ranks towards the AEW World Tag Team Championships?

AEW hears from Matt Hardy.

“Over the course of the last eight months, myself and Sammy Guevara have done everything to try and maim one another, to try and cripple one another, to try and end each other’s careers.” Over the course of Hardy’s 28 year career, there ha snot been a rivalry that has caused so much pain and rage, and spawned so many injuries. Hardy tells Sammy that he had very little respect for him, but after seeing his tenacity and resilience, there is some respect now. That moment at All Out, Hardy’s confidence took a shot. That’s why he had to do what he did at Full Gear. “It was the only way this blood vendetta could end.” Sammy had to be DELETED, made OBSOLETE, and be BROKEN!

Sammy may have lost the rivalry, but he lost to an iconic wrestler like Hardy. Hardy knows Sammy will become an even more iconic wrestler for it, so do not squander this gift. Will Sammy’s brutal defeat only make him even stronger?

AEW presents the 2020 Inner Circle Induction Ceremony.

Wait, that implies there’s going to be more in the future? That aside, MJF won his way into the faction by defeating Chris Jericho at Full Gear. As agreed, Maxwell Jacob Friedman will now be added to their ranks. Justin Roberts introduces Le Champion to begin the ceremony! The Demo God is smiling as he goes to the podium, and enjoys the fans singing Judas for him. Jericho thanks us and says tonight is a monumental night in Jacksonville! “Because for the first time ever since the formation of The Inner Circle on October 2nd, 2019, on the very first episode of Dynamite, we’re adding not just one but two members to our ranks, right here tonight!” Fans have mixed feelings about that.

Before introduction the new, here are the OG IC! Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager head to the ring, but Sammy is not here. Worry about that later, worry more about the two men that will make this faction even more dominant than before! Jericho introduces Wardlow and MJF! They both make their entrance, Wardlow of course holding the ropes open for MJF. MJF is “emotional” but apologizes. It has taken a long and hard road to get here. Real men cry, guys. MJF has been in this industry for five long years. And when he first started, his dad gave him a small loan of one million dollars. MJF was cold and alone, but he made it work.

Now there is a lot of pressure at being the Ratings Ruler feels at just 24 years of age, nothing you 9-to-5 types could never handle. But that pressure made MJF the diamond he is before us today. MJF took the time to write some poetry, and has a feeling his “homies” will “dig” this. “I got everything, I got everything. I cannot complain, I cannot. I don’t even know how much I really made. I forgot, it’s a lot. Nevermind what I got, boy, don’t watch that, cuz I came up, that’s all me. Stay true, that’s all me. No help, that’s all me. All me for real. Thank you.” Ortiz says that’s just Drake’s song! MJF says it was all his own work. Chris, see through the charade! MJF doesn’t belong!

Jericho has them to stop. If they have a problem with MJF, take it up with him. Jericho made the challenge, but MJF beat him to get in. But Jericho does want to say this, as a veteran of 30 years, he knows this business better than anyone. And with MJF’s mind plus Wardlow’s muscle, the Inner Circle will be stronger than ever, and they’re already stronger than The Walls of Jericho! “This is the new team, this is the new squad, this is the new unstoppable force in AEW, and you will make it work! You understand?!” They’re a team. MJF doesn’t want tension. He doesn’t know who Drake is, but he started from the bottom and now he is here in the Inner Circle! That’s more Drake!

But MJF points out that they’re not just here to celebrate him. They’re here to celebrate JERICHO’S BIRTHDAY~! Surprise~! Balloons! Confetti! OO-EE, OO-EE! Wardlow whispers something to MJF. Oh, right, of course! Cut the music because MJF has a very urgent announcement. “Next week, we’re going to Vegas!!” And it’s all on MJF! Now all together! Happy birthday to you~! Happy birthday to you~! Happy birthday, Dear Chris Jericho the Goat greatest of all time~! Happy birthday to you~! “INNER CIRCLE, WE’RE GOING TO VEGAS! WOO!!” Well that won Hager and Santana over. But Ortiz is still a hard sell, and we have no idea where Sammy is so who knows how he feels. Will the Vegas trip bring the new and improved(?) Inner Circle closer together?

Backstage interview with The Young Bucks.

Alex Marvez is a bit worried talking to the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions. Oh, right, that… Well, Marvez moves past that to say that Matt and Nick Jackson really are the best tag team in the world now, having beat FTR for these titles. So what’s next? Well they just went through hell, having finally achieved the biggest accomplishment of their entire careers. It’s hard to say what’s next. But the world surely wants a rematch. Before that, Matt just wants to say, “Young Bucks” and “tag team champions” just go so well together, don’t they? And again, sorry for kicking him.

But now that the Bucks are the top of the mountain, and they’re being asked what’s next, Matt says they need some “fresh opponents.” That brings them to a couple months ago, the Instagram message Matt received from a “young, up and coming independent tag team called Top Flight.” Took him all about 30 seconds to look through a music video to see those two have something. Young, hungry daredevils who are real life brothers. Reminds him of a certain team. But if opportunity is what they want, that opportunity is what they get. Next week, on Dynamite, Top Flight VS the NEW top guys. Young Bucks out. And again, sorry for kicking Marvez. What big news for young Darrius and Dante Martin! Win or lose, will they their own “brush with greatness” launch them to new heights?

BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Dynamite!

After the confrontation between Cody, Darby and Team Taz, a 2v2 tag match will happen between them! Will the American Nightmare and new Face of TNT take down the FTW Champion Brian Cage and Absolute Ricky Starks?

Spears keeps on Scorpio with an apron back suplex! Spears refreshes the count to then bring Scorpio up, to DECK him with a left! Spears storms off to grab the steel steps and drag them around the way! The ref reprimands but Spears just goes after Scorpio. Tully taunts Scorpio but Scorpio gets in the ring. Spears follows, drags Scorpio up but Scorpio throws body shots and haymakers! Scorpio backs Spears down, puts him in a corner to whip corner to corner, but Spears reverses to reel Scorpio in for a backbreaker! Cover, TWO!

Spears rains down fists but Scorpio pushes Spears back in the face. Spears traps the arms for more ground ‘n’ pound then he stomps Scorpio’s face! The ref checks the black glove but it’s not loaded yet. Spears stalks Scorpio to the corner, brings Scorpio up but Scorpio hits back! And CHOPS back! Scorpio backs Spears down again, whips him but Spears reverses to reel him in again. Scorpio slips out of the tilt-o-whirl to hit the COMPLETE SHOT! Both men are down, the ref starts a standing count and the fans rally up. Scorpio gets to a corner, aims at Spears as he goes up, and AEW returns to single picture as Spears dodges the missile dropkick! Spears fist bumps Tully then wags a finger at Scorpio.

Spears tells Scorpio he’s done for, and he fireman’s carries. Scorpio slips off to arm-drag Spears away! Scorpio clotheslines Spears and himself out! Scorpio gets in the ring fast, then slingshots to PLANCHA! Direct hit and fans fire up again! Scorpio bumps Spears off the apron, puts him back in the ring, and dodges the clothesline to slingshot CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Spears is still in this but fans rally for Scorpio. Scorpio goes to a corner, climbs up top, but Spears goes up! Scorpio avoids the knee, drags Spears out and throws haymakers! Scorpio whips, Spears reverses but Scorpio leaps over the steps! Fans boo as Scorpio is down! Spears gets up and brings Scorpio up. Spears puts Scorpio in the ring, mockingly slow rolls with him, and stalks Scorpio as he rises. Scorpio fireman’s carries but Spears sunset flips! Scorpio rolls out, gets the legs, SHARPSHOOTER!! Spears endures the Scorpio Deathlock, but Tully is up to something! Tully puts something in the corner, Spears gets the ropebreak! Scorpio lets go, Tully distracts the ref, and Spears rolls to the corner. Spears finds the metal slug! Tully argues and then throws something to Spears? Another piece of metal? Scorpio doesn’t want that so he throws it away. But this was all so he wouldn’t see Spears coming, FULL METAL SUCKER PUNCH!! Cover, Spears wins!!

Winner: Shawn Spears, by pinfall

Spears hides the evidence and Tully raises his hand. The ref checks the glove but now it’s clean! Will Tully’s evil genius continue to help Spears steal wins and climb the rankings?

Backstage interview with Kenny Omega.

Dasha was here with him but Omega ran off. He didn’t say much, either, so guess back to ringside. Marvez hurries after Omega in the parking lot but Omega’s on the phone. Omega tells them he’ll call back, but it was great seeing them. Omega talks to Marvez and the news is out. Their match is happening, but it isn’t news to him. It’s something Omega’s lived with a couple days now. It’s the reality that Omega is stepping out of the position as an afterthought, and stepping into the #1 contender’s spot and the #1 position in all of wrestling. Moxley holds something Omega wants and needs.

To hold that title is to take back something that Moxley took from him: being the face on all the magazines, being the man that is most talked about in all of wrestling, and being the man that everyone expected him to be. Omega hears the whispers, the chatter. “Where is the Cleaner? Where’s the Best Bout Machine? Where’s the Kenny Omega that we saw in NJPW?” The one with the five-star, six-star, seven-star matches? Well Omega has proven with the eliminator tournament that he’s never left. He is just ready to reassume the role and the responsibility of being the best in the world. The biggest Dynamite of all time, Moxley and Omega for the “first time ever.”

When Omega heard Moxley’s name and wearing the belt, there was a feeling of nostalgia or deja vu. Omega swears they had a match before, but when he looked in the AEW record books, there was not a record of them have even one singles match, under regular rules in a regular ring. So it’s never actually happened. They’re 0-0. What will happen when Moxley faces Omega in a regular match? We’ll find out. Moxley sounds ready, so is Omega. But Omega has a flight to catch. “Good-bye, goodnight, all that stuff. Thank you, please enjoy Dynamite.” The #1 contender has spoken, what happens when we “officially” see Maniac VS Cleaner?

Tay Conti w/ Anna Jay VS Red Velvet w/ Brandi Rhodes!

Jade Cargill may have riled up The Queen of AEW, but there is still business the CBO needs to handle. But she and the Queenslayer are battling through their friends and proxies first! Will the Brazilian blackbelt score one for Number 99? Or will Velvet stir it up and taste sweet, sweet victory?

The bell rings, Tay and Velvet tie up and break, then go again. Velvet puts Tay in a corner, the ref calls for a break and Velvet lets off. Velvet steps to Tay, and pats her shoulder for making her flinch. Tay turns things around to dig Velvet into the corner. Tay lets off but also step feints, and then pats Velvet’s head for making her flinch. Velvet and Tay circle and tie up again, Velvet gets around to roll Tay up, ONE! Velvet has the legs, turns Tay over and ties the legs up, then uses body scissors to turn Tay back over, modified bridging cover, TWO! Velvet rushes in but Tay trips her up. ONE, Tay arm-drags Velvet but Velvet arm-drags back! The two stand off and fans fire up!

Tay and Velvet circle again but give a quick handshake to show there’s still respect. They tie up, Tay headlocks but Velvet powers out. Tay runs Velvet over, brushes herself off, and speeds things up. Velvet side steps and hits a leg lariat to take Tay down! Standing moonsautl! Cover, ONE, but Velvet puts Tay in a corner. Velvet digs her boots in and does a split! The re counts, Tay pushes Velvet away then pushes her again. Velvet pushes back, throws a forearm but Tay gives it back! Judo throw, then another! Tay is using these special arm-drags to spin Velvet for a loop! Velvet ducks the buzzsaw but gets too cocky, Tay HEEL KICKS her down! Cover, TWO! Velvet is still in this and Tay can’t believe it.

AEW goes picture in picture as Tay drags Velvet back up. Tay facelocks but Velvet gets around to a waistlock. Tay standing switches, wristlock ripcords and ducks Velvet’s counter punch to URENAGE! But Tay’s too wiped out to cover! Both women are down, catching their breath, and fans rally up. Tay sits up first and goes after Velvet to finally cover, TWO! Tay keeps on Velvet with elbows to the shoulder! Over and over and over and over! Cover, TWO! Velvet reaches for ropes but Tay drags her into a seated full nelson. Fans rally as Velvet endures and fights her way up. Velvet booty bumps free but Tay reels her into a roll-up! TWO and Tay dead lifts Velvet, but Velvet counters to a guillotine facelock! But Tay powers out to suplex Velvet down! Cover, TWO!

Fans fire up and Jay coaches Tay. Velvet flounders but Tay is after her. Tay brings Velvet up to knee her hard and low over and over! Velvet is in trouble as AEW goes to break.

AEW returns, Velvet again fights out of the full nelson with booty bumps. Velvet is free and she arm-drags Tay away! Tay comes back, but Velvet dodges her in the corner! Velvet rallies with big clotheslines and a back elbow! Tay staggers up into Velvet’s wheelbarrow and BULLDOG! Fans fire up with Velvet as she drags Tay up to whip and drop toehold onto ropes! Velvet runs to KNEE her down! Velvet keeps on Tay with a whip to the corner. Velvet runs in to SHINING WIZARD! Tay is dazed, Velvet cravats for a running STUNNER! Cover, TWO!! Tay stays alive and Velvet can’t believe it! Fans fire up as Velvet drags Tay up. Tay breaks free, DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES take them both down!

Brandi checks on Velvet but Jay slips Tay a chair! Tay isn’t sure but Jay is Dark Order all the way. Tay refuses to use the chair and kicks it out! Velvet LEG LARIATS her down! High stack cover, TWO!! Velvet brings Tay up, mule kicks low then runs, to BOOT! But Tay dodges?! Tay rolls Velvet, reels her in for a BOOT of her own! Then Tay brings Velvet up for a gut wrench, Gory Especial, spinning KNEE!! Cover, Tay wins!

Winner: Tay Conti, by pinfall

Not only did she get a big win, she did things her way! Jay has mixed feelings about that, but the point was to win! Will Tay #JoinDarkOrder if it means changing her ways? Or will the Dark Order accept Tay as she is?

Backstage interview with The Inner Circle.

Does Marvez see these tickets? They’re going to Vegas, baby! Look, it’s first class! You ever been to Vegas, Marvez? Probably to OLD Vegas, stuck playing Go Fish! They’re going first class! MJF adds on, telling “Mark-vez” that the trip is all on MJF! But then Sammy finally arrives! Sammy got an email about going to the beach but they weren’t there. They were here. MJF says he sent an update email about to go to Daily’s. No, the ONE email Sammy got was about the beach. It seems Sammy was the only one left out, again. Sammy says this is BS! Jericho keeps the peace and says they all understand if Sammy only got the one email. But they’re all going to Vegas, it’s cool.

The rest leave but MJF talks to Sammy. He really did mean to send a second email. Now, here’s his ticket to Vegas. Remember: all on MJF. Sammy still stews about the email, but will the Vegas trip make it up to him?

There are MORE big matches set for next week’s Dynamite!

On top of the grudge match of Cody & Darby VS Cage & Starks, on top of Top Flight getting to face The Young Bucks, Orange Cassidy and Kip Sabian will go 1v1! Will Freshly Squeezed get even with Superbad on behalf of Best Friends?

Eddie Kingston heads to the ring.

“Hold on, hold on, hold on real quick.” He tells fans to stop cheering his name, he knows his name. He wants to speak real quick. “At Full Gear, your World Champion, Jon Moxley, made me say I quit. And that’s something I gotta deal with and live with.” But unlike fans who would wrestle once then quit to never try again, “I will never stop, and I will be worlds champion!” Now, to pressing matters. Kingston being the leader of violent men and women, we’re about to see Penta VS Fenix! And we will all see “two of the greatest luchadors ever to do it.” And all Kingston can say is, “You’re welcome.”

Penta El Zero M VS Rey Fenix!

The Lucha Brothers once again face each other 1v1 in AEW! The world title eliminator tournament match between them was rough, but they stayed brothers through it. Will they still be family after doing it all over again?

AEW returns once more as Penta makes his entrance. The bell rings, fans chant for “Lucha Brothers!” as the two stare down. They rush each other, Fenix goes Matrix to avoid the clothesline but Penta avoids the dropkick. Penta stomps but Fenix gets under the victory roll, TWO! Penta SUPERKICKS Fenix then runs, but into a BOOT! Penta boots but Fenix spins to HEEL KICK, Penta ENZIGURIS! Both brothers are down and fans fire up! Kingston says his better friend is the better but he’s said both are his best friend at different points so… Fenix gets to one corner, Penta to the other, they run at each other and double clotheslines collide! Both stay up so Fenix spins Penta to bring him up. Penta slips off, Fenix somersaults and springs up to wheelbarrow, victory roll! TWO and Penta brings Fenix up!

Fenix throws elbows and standing switches to shove Penta. Penta goes up and over and then gets Fenix for a modified sunset flip, TWO! Fans fire up as the brothers stand. Fenix dodges and runs, headscissors throws Penta out! Penta dares Fenix to do something, Fenix runs but Penta gets in to send Fenix out! Fenix almost saves himself but he still bumps into railing! Fans fire up as Penta builds speed, but Fenix somersaults in to shotgun dropkick! Fenix kips up, fans fire up with him, and he runs, into a tilt-o-whirl gut wrench! Penta figure fours the legs for a standing Cloverleaf! Fenix endures, Penta drops him, sits him up and digs at the mask?! How can he do that to his own brother?!

Penta stops short of completely exposing Fenix and then wraps him up in a chinlock. Penta throws punches, the ref reprimands and Penta lets off. Penta chokes Fenix on the ropes! Fenix defends his face more than anything, but Penta stops to whip him to ropes. SUPERKICK! Penta fires up, swaggers around, then sits Fenix up, and keeps him up by the piece of torn mask! Penta wraps a chinlock on and grinds Fenix down but fans rally up. Fenix fights as AEW goes picture in picture.

Penta brings Fenix around, KICKS his leg out from under him, and Fenix tumbles out of the ring. Penta follows but Fenix CHOPS! Penta CHOPS and it’s a chop fight! Penta CHOPS Fenix off his feet! Penta brings Fenix up to POST him! Fenix is down, Penta tells the ref to relax as he goes to fetch him. Penta drags Fenix up by his beat up mask and put shim back in the ring. Penta drags Fenix up, whips him to ropes again, and tilt-o-whirl BACKBREAKERS! Fenix writhes but Penta just soaks up the heat. Penta has Fenix against ropes and bends him back! Penta bites the torn piece of mask then drops Fenix at the ref’s count. The ref reprimands, Penta brings Fenix up and whips again to clobber him with an elbow!

Penta grabs a leg and drops an elbow on the knee! Fenix clutches the leg, Penta covers, TWO! Fenix narrowly escapes but Penta is on him again. Penta brings Fenix up but Fenix fights back. They brawl, Fenix CHOPS but Penta CHOPS! Fenix sits down but he slaps the cobwebs out. Penta dares Fenix to get up but Fenix dares Penta to do something. Penta brings Fenix up but Fenix CHOPS first! Penta CHOPS back! Penta reels Fenix in, “CERO! MIEDO”! Tuck and lift, but Fenix flips out to arm-drag and cover, TWO!! Penta BOOTS Fenix to the corner, then runs in, to a BOOT! Fenix puts Penta in, goes up the ropes and SOBATS! Fenix runs corner to corner, Penta pops him up and out to the ramp! Fenix lands on his feet and enziguris back!

Fenix goes up the way, runs back to ropes to springboard and RANA! Cover, TWO!! Penta narrowly escapes now but Fenix fires up! Fenix dodges, handsprings, and CUTTERS! “This is Awesome!” as Fenix covers, TWO! Penta is still in this and Fenix drags Penta up. Now Fenix TEARS Penta’s mask! He’s all but exposed Penta!! And only now is Kingston upset! Fenix drags Penta up, but both brothers have the torn piece of mask! They throw haymakers over and over, then headbutts! Fenix knees low, then again! Fenix CHOPS Penta, then runs, to somersault, but into Penta’s dragon sleeper! “CERO! MIEDO!” INVERTED BLOCKBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Fenix survives and Kingston gives him credit.

Fans rally for the Lucha Brothers again as the standing count climbs. Fenix and Penta slowly stir at around 3, then sit up. Penta fires up, makes sure his mask is somewhat on, and then brings Fenix up. “CERO! MIEDO!” But Fenix headscissors out of the suplex! Fenix runs to FLY, TORNILLO takes Penta down! Fans are thunderous as Fenix looms over Penta. Fenix drags Penta up into the ring, then he climbs up to the top rope. SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Penta survives and Fenix can’t believe it! Fenix drags Penta up to a fireman’s carry, but Penta slips out to the apron. Penta suplexes Fenix up and out to join him, kicks low and reel shim in! But Fenix pushes him away, so Penta SUPERKICKS him! Penta tucks Fenix in, APRON PACKAGE PILEDRIVER!!

The referee goes out to check Fenix and even Kingston says that was too much. Penta leaves Fenix behind but Fenix somehow rises! So Penta leaps to SUPER DESTROYER to the floor!! Penta puts Fenix in, drags him back up and tells him, “CERO! MIEDO!” Another tuck, another PACKAGE DRIVER!! Cover, Penta wins!

Winner: Penta El Zero M, by pinfall

Kingston says there’s some time left on the show so he talks. “This is Awesome! Clap clap, whatever you marks do. Fight forever, right? That chant.” But ladies and gentlemen, what we just saw was two of the greatest in the world today! Two brothers fighting for competition, and Kingston’s best friend showed his own brother who is boss! Kingston congratulates Penta, Cero Miedo! He kicks Fenix out of the ring?! Kingston is proud of Penta, that’s why he’s Kingston’s best friend. Penta doesn’t need anyone! Penta doesn’t need that “dead weight.”

But wait, who is this? PAC IS BACK!! The Bastard returns and is seething as he stares at Kingston! “Eddie Kingston! Did you think I’d be gone forever, huh!? Well bad news, scumbag! The Bastard’s back, and you have made a very, very big mistake!” Kingston taunts Pac while referees hold Pac back! Pac wants to unleash all of his aggression on The Mad King for hijacking his team! Tony Khan just tells us through commentary that Pac’s return is set for next week! Pac will take on another member of Kingston’s Fam in The Blade! But Pac almost gets at Kingston now! How long will Pac have to wait to get his revenge?

My Thoughts:

A great episode to follow up Full Gear! Really good aftermath interview promos, such as Moxley and Omega both referencing last year’s “Unsanctioned” Full Gear main event in their own way. Moxley knows what we know and that is that he won, but Omega goes with what’s on the kayfabe win-loss record to kind of frame who is the Face and Heel here in a way. We’re getting their rematch in a month, and that is going to be a big episode towards the Revolution build. It’s really great the Bucks are giving Top Flight a Dynamite debut with their match next week. I felt Darrius and Dante were a great team but their showing on Dark was a bit wonky because something was off with Frankie Thomas. But Top Flight against the Bucks, we’ll really get to see what the Martin brothers can do against the Jacksons.

Team Taz had a good promo on Darby, Cage had a great match with Sydal, especially since Sydal got to look great. The segment with Jade Cargill interrupting Cody was an interesting one, but it clearly means the TNT Network crossover is happening. Cody VS Shaq, AEW’s first celebrity match, that’s actually a great one. Brandi getting in Jade’s face was great, too, I would love to see that as a match. Darby having a thumbtack jacket is exactly what he should be wearing. His tag match with Cody against Team Taz is going to be a lot of fun. Tay VS Velvet was a lot of fun, especially with Jay trying to tempt Tay to the Dark Order side but Tay resisting. I think Jay’s next story should really be with her trying to recruit Tay more and more. Either outcome, Tay joining Dark Order or becoming a new enemy, will be great for them and the AEW Women’s Division.

That Bunkhouse match was incredible! I should’ve figured they’d have multiple blood spots, and for Allie to face comeuppance directly with a table spot. Natural Nightmares win to move past that story and to possibly head for the tag titles. That’d be an interesting match as Cody is still friends with the Bucks but it’s literally his family on the other side, Cody might end up in the middle of that feud. The “induction ceremony” for MJF was pretty good. MJF saying the night wasn’t just about him was a great way to trick us into thinking he’d give Wardlow even a moment of spotlight, but it was the next ploy in his scheme. Sammy getting a email about the beach but no second email was definitely to further those plans. Something needs to happen on the “Vegas trip” that brings into question whether or not Sammy stays in the faction, possibly through a match of MJF VS Sammy.

Spears VS Scorpio was a really good match, and worth the wait from when it was first advertised for a couple weeks ago. The metal slug was introduced in a very clever way this time, and Spears winning thanks to that surely means this continues. The feud will help both guys bide some time while the singles titles are tied up in other stories. I would think Scorpio comes out the winner in this feud, since commentary even pointed out how he is the third winningest man in AEW, behind Cody and Kenny. Depending on who wins Moxley VS Omega, I feel like Scorpio against either of them would make for a great match. Moxley’s fought mostly sluggers and powerhouses, but taking on someone truly athletic would be fresh. Omega VS Scorpio would be even wilder because they’re both so fast and agile, it’d be about who can keep going.

The Penta VS Fenix rematch was a great match, and a lot of great story given the first time around, as well as Kingston on commentary denying the fact he is the reason for the dysfunction. I finally realized with this match that the luchador lore of the masks being sacred is mostly for kayfabe. Otherwise, why would they be so willing to have their masks torn up? These two both went through a lot of the same in Lucha Underground, so clearly it’s a story telling device. Penta wins to tie up the series between the brothers, even if the record says Fenix “vacated” his win from the tournament. And then PAC returning was great! Pac wants after Kingston, Archer wants after The Fam, will they end up a duo instead of Death Triangle reforming? At least, I expect Pac and Fenix to take on Kingston and Penta as the payoff.

My Score: 9.1/10
