It’s the Full Gear Buy-In!

Backstage interview with MJF and Wardlow.

Alexander brings up Chris Jericho calling MJF “soft,” but MJF won’t let that word be said in his presence. No one gets to say that, because MJF is NOT soft. MJF is razor sharp, tough as nails, and no one is tougher than him! Everyone seems to get it twisted seeing the suits, the scarf and the jewelry. But don’t get it wrong, folks, because no one is better than him bell to bell. Jericho VS MJF is very important. Demo God VS Ratings Ruler, two of the biggest names in all of pro-wrestling going toe to toe! This is the most important match in MJF’s life. That seems a lot to say because MJF faced “Jonathan Moxley” for the AEW World Championship. But MJF says you’re stupid thinking that was big, because “Jonathan Moxley” cheated.

When MJF beats Jericho, and he will beat Jericho, MJF gets to have the Inner Circle at his helm. He will be part of the greatest faction in all of wrestling, and get all the gold he wants. How does Wardlow feel about joining The Inner Circle? MJF says that’s a great question and answers it for Wardlow. Wardlow will be a great fit in the Inner Circle, so long as Jake Hager stops making faces at him. Then let’s talk about the Inner Circle members resisting him turning. Oh of course you’d bring that up, stooge. MJF knows people don’t like MJF. But do you know what that doesn’t matter? Because he’s better than you, and he knows it. But will he do what he promises and win his way in to the Inner Circle?

The crossover continues between NWA and AEW! The freshly minted champion is back again to defend this title against the newest free agent to hit the wrestling market! The fighting champion is 2-0 in title defenses here in Daily’s Place! But wait! Thunder Rosa is here! The previous champion is back in AEW’s venue and heads right to the ring! Deeb holds up the title as she and Rosa go face to face. Will AEW be where these two have their rematch for that title?

Backstage interview with Eddie Kingston and “The Fam.”

This is the most important night in Kingston’s career, but Alexander would like to ask “The Fam” how they feel about this. Sure, why not. Specifically to Butcher, Blade and Bunny, do they think he has what it takes to make Moxley say “I Quit?” Does HE not think Kingston has what it takes? Allie of course knows Kingston will do it and won’t say quit. So stupid. Okay, sorry. Moving on to the Lucha Brothers, do THEY think Kingston has what it takes? Of course! Kingston is: number one, Penta’s best friend; number two, the best in the world; and Fenix has the third, Kingston is capable of anything.

So then to Kingston himself. We saw a very intense confrontation on Dynamite. Is it about the AEW World Championship? Or about making Moxley say those two words? Nothing is more important than the world title. Nothing. Not revenge, not making someone say they quit or beating them half to death. The only title that means anything in the only company that matters, is what matters tonight. Then if he becomes champion tonight, Archer is ready to go after him. is that a concern? Kingston doesn’t care about that. Tonight is just about the championship. Moxley has it, so Archer doesn’t matter. PAC doesn’t matter. Kingston does not care about anything else. Will this dangerous determination and focus be exactly what helps Kingston defeat Moxley?

2020 has been a year of hardships.

But it has also been a year that has made us all stronger. Full Gear will be the culmination and celebration of AEW’s fighting spirt. Tonight, there are no limits for these men and women! It just comes down to who wants it more! Do not underestimate the fortitude of a quiet man, as Darby Allin goes for gold. The games are over as MJF takes on Chris Jericho. The Young Bucks put it all on the line when it comes to the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The Native Beast hungers for gold. Former friends and tag partners fight for the same destiny. And speaking of former friends, THE title stands between them. Welcome to the show!

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals: Kenny Omega VS Hangman Page!

History waits for no one so why wait for this historic showdown? Speaking of which, there is so much history here between The Cleaner and The Cowboy! First they were allies in The Elite, then they were thrown together as tag team partners that then took the gold, but now they’re on choppy waters. Will that friendship still be in one piece after going head to head for a shot at the championship?

Omega’s elaborate entrance changes again. “He prepared for Joey Janela but he beat Sonny Kiss. He trained for Rey Fenix but overcame Penta El Zero M.” Now he is here in the finals of this tournament! If not for the interference of The Dark Order’s Number 4, this card might have been very different. Backstage interview with The Natural Nightmares.

They were attacked the last time they were talking backstage, but QT Marshall doesn’t want to talk Butcher and Blade, he wants to call out Allie. She used QT to infiltrate the Nightmare Family not because she was bored, but because she knows the Nightmare Family is THE most prolific family in wrestling today! And Blade is playing victim that his wife was with QT? Oh please. If it wasn’t QT, it’d be someone else, because Blade doesn’t have his house in order.

Dustin wants to set this straight. There have been many successful women who have come through this sport. Allie is NOT one of them! This coming Dynamite, Dustin asked Tony Khan and he approved, their match with The Butcher & Blade is now a BUNK HOUSE MATCH! And if you don’t know what that is, you are about to learn! This Wednesday, Butcher will be gasping for air trying to keep up as Dustin kicks his ass, because he won’t even last 10 minutes! Understand that, punks! This is war! Who is going down in AEW’s first ever Bunk House Match?

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida VS Nyla Rose w/ Vickie Guerrero!

Double Or Nothing 2020 was an epic showdown, and the Full Metal Warrior was the one to finally dethrone the Native Beast! MJF holds the ropes open for Jericho and the two head out together. Will this new dream team take over all of AEW?

Welcome back to the alternative reality.

AEW Revolution returns in 2021! February 27th, AEW will bring about another dimension of wrestling! But with next year feeling like an eternity away, what will the landscape of AEW even look like by then?

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy,

Congratulations are in order, what are his thoughts on his win over John Silver? Best Friends are excited, but Cassidy has no thoughts. Miro, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford walk up and say this has nothing to do with Best Friends. This has to do with “Clementine” and all the stuff with The Dark Order. Penelope almost got hurt during that! Apologize! Cassidy says sorry but Kip SLAPS him! That wasn’t good enough! Cassidy takes off the sunglasses to say it’s fine. Cassidy and Best Friends head out. Kip doesn’t understand, but will Freshly Squeezed have a more impassioned response next time?

AEW World Championship I Quit match: Jon Moxley VS Eddie Kingston!

Last year, in Baltimore, for Full Gear 2019, The Maniac went 1v1 against Kenny Omega in an unsanctioned match. That match raised the bar for a new level of brutality. This year, Moxley is back on the card but in a much more personal battle. The Mad King was once one of Moxley’s closest friends, but the many twists and turns of life twisted and turned Kingston into a bitter enemy. Now, the only way to settle this is for one man to say the two words that can break even the strongest man’s spirit. Who will go beyond brutality in order to be THE AEW World Champion?

The introductions are made, Moxley says his prayer of forgiveness for what he has to do, and the belt is raised. Fans are fired up already as this match with nothing holding them back begins!

They start right away with a flurry of fists! Moxley gets the edge and knocks Kingston down! Kingston gets up fast to CHOP back, so Moxley CHOPS him! They CHOP back and forth more and more, egging the other on! Kingston fires off a strike fest but Moxley gets around for an ankle pick takedown. Kingston blocks with a clinch but Moxley bites whatever he can! Moxley gets an arm, Kingston fights up and they clinch at ropes. Moxley CHOPS but Kingston just walks it off! Kingston CHOPS, Moxley CHOPS, and then they shift to forearms and SLAPS! It’s a slap fight, both men egging each other on! Kingston kicks and CLUBS Moxley but Moxley throws a forearm! Moxley runs, into an OVERHEAD SUPLEX! Moxley goes to the apron and gets out, but Kingston goes out after him.

Fans rally and duel as Kingston rakes eyes! Kingston puts Moxley in, gets a chair, but Moxley DIVES to knock Kingston into railing! Moxley grabs that chair and CHUCKS it at Kingston’s head! Then Moxley whips Kingston into railing! Moxley clears a path and goes after Kingston’s fingers! “I’ll break your fingers!” Kingston doesn’t quit so Moxley TWISTS the fingers! Moxley drags Kingston up, throws haymakers, and then bumps him off railing! Kingston uppercuts back! Moxley throws a forearm, Kingston hits back with body shots. They brawl, Kingston rakes eyes and Moxley staggers away. Kingston follows and goes to suplex. Moxley blocks to snap suplex Kingston to the cement! The ref asks but Kingston refuses to say anything.

Moxley gets Kingston with a chinlock and grinds him down! Kingston endures, and BITES the arm! Moxley lets go, fans rally up as Kingston and Moxley get up. Kingston kicks Moxley back to ringside and then whips him into the railing! Moxley is sent for a loop but Kingston brings him up. Kingston CHOPS Moxley, throws punches while he has Moxley in a headlock. Kingston POSTS Moxley and then goes around the way to bring out a chair. And another chair! Kingston goes around the way again and hobbles into the ring. Fans rally as Moxley finds BARBIE! The barbed wire baseball bat is here! Kingston has his chairs together but Moxley SMACKS, and SMACKS, and SMACKS Kingston with the bat! Moxley kicks the chairs over, and he glares at Kingston through his own blood.

Moxley GRINDS barbed wire into Kingston’s forehead!! Kingston is already bleeding from a bloody lip, but Kingston again vows to Moxley, “You’re gonna have to kill me!” Moxley has drawn blood from Kingston’s face as well as other places, but Kingston refuses to give in. Moxley wants to hit him with the bat, but Kingston gets around to SAIDO! Kingston fires up to SAIDO again! Kingston grabs a chair, and CHUCKS it at Moxley! A simple but effective receipt there. Kingston punches Moxley but Moxley gouges eyes and throws haymakers! Kingston DECKS Moxley, then chokes him! Kingston lets up to grab Barbie for his own! Kingston sets it in position and SLAMS Moxley onto it! Moxley checks his chest and stomach while Kingston smiles a bloody smile.

Kingston SMACKS Moxley on the back with the chair! And then CHUCKS it into his head again! Kingston picks up Barbie and pulls off a loose strand off? Kingston wraps it around his own wrist, which is double-edged, but worth it in his mind as he punches away with the BARBED WIRE FIST!! And DIGS it into Moxley’s face! Moxley SLAPS Kingston but Kingston BARBED WIRE URAKENS!! Kingston gets the KIMURA!! Moxley endures, fights, but Kingston headbutts! Moxley BITES Kingston’s knee! Kingston clubs Moxley then SLAPS him all over! Moxley gets to a corner but Kingston digs his boot in! Fans rally as Kingston lets up to go fetch a chair. Kingston recreates his little chair pair and points it out to Moxley.

Kingston drags Moxley up and over, and fans that aren’t squeamish are still cheering them on. Moxley blocks a suplex to turn things around and snap suplex Kingston ONTO THE CHAIRS! Both men are down but somehow still stirring! Kingston CLOBBERS Moxley! Fans boo but Kingston heads to the outside. Kingston goes back under the ring to bring out a sack! Those are never good… Kingston brings the sack to the ring and pours it out. THUMBTACKS! Kingston brings Moxley over, but Moxley gets around to GERMAN SUPLEX! They avoid the tacks, and Kingston SAIDOS! Moxley LARIATS! Fans rally up as both men rise again. Moxley stands, staggers, but fires himself up!

Moxley drags Kingston up, brings him around, but Kingston avoids the Paradigm Shift to URENAGE Moxley onto TACKS!! Moxley refuses to give up, though! Kingston is furious and he rolls right out of the ring to fetch that barbed wire strand. Kingston double checks if Moxley quits, and he doesn’t. The wire is put aside and Kingston dumps over the timekeeper’s table! Kingston grabs himself a bottle of… Alcohol?! Kingston asks if Moxley quits and Moxley says no, so Kingston STOMPS Moxley’s nuts! Kingston tells Moxley to quit but Moxley still refuses, so Kingston STOMPS the nuts again!! Kingston CHOPS Moxley down, and GRINDS the nuts! Moxley refuses to quit so Kingston lets off.

Kingston grabs that bottle of rubbing alcohol, opens it up, and POURS it on Moxley’s back! All the wounds on Moxley’s back sting and burn! But that doesn’t break Moxley, so Kingston scoops a handful of tacks. Kingston sits Moxley up to SMASH the tacks on his face! But again, it is double-edged! Kingston just keeps going, not caring about his own pain. Kingston decides not to use the wire after all, but he uses the BULLY CHOKE! Moxley endures, and he dares Kingston to do his damndest! Kingston keeps cranking on the hold, then he throws crossface forearms! Kingston goes back to the Bully Choke but fans rally up. Kingston unleashes knees but Moxley gets a SLEEPER! Moxley squeezes tight and spins Kingston around, PILEDRIVER! Suzuki-san would be proud!

Moxley puts Kingston in the BULLY CHOKE! Kingston fights up, Moxley kicks low, PARADIGM SHIFT!! The fans that can still bare to watch cheer but Kingston flips Moxley off. Kingston stirs, Moxley grabs that big of wire and bends it around. “There’s no other way out, Eddie! Don’t make me do this.” Moxley wraps the wire around his forearm but again Kingston flips him off. BARBED WIRE BULLY CHOKE!!! The wire is right under Kingston’s neck!! Kingston sputters and the ref begs Kingston to give up! Kingston says “I QUIT!” Moxley wins!!

Winner: Jon Moxley (still AEW World Champion)

“Winner” in name only, as Moxley had to do so much horrifying damage to a former friend. But in the end, Moxley is undefeated in 2020 and of course undefeated as champion. “That’s what a champion is made of! Heart, soul, blood and guts!!” Is there ever going to be an end to Moxley’s reign? Moxley wants to help Kingston up, but Kingston refuses. Kingston staggers away alone, but will he be able to pick up the pieces? And then Kenny Omega walks out! Omega is reminded of his match with Moxley at Full Gear. That’s why Omega will gladly stay out of the ring for right now. When and where will Maniac and Cleaner collide for the title they’re both willing to fight so hard for?

My Thoughts:

What a great PPV for AEW here! I feel like Full Gear is going to become the “extreme” PPV for AEW every year, and I actually think that’s great. The I Quit match was just as hardcore as last year’s “unsanctioned” match but perhaps not as wild or fast-paced as that one. Kingston is a methodical type, and Moxley can play that way, too, so it worked that these guys weren’t going all over the place to the same level as Moxley and Omega did last year. They did explore a lot of the ringside space but perhaps if there wasn’t COVID concerns anymore, they would’ve gotten into the stands where fans were or something. Still a really powerful match, and it was a brilliant little detail for the referee in for that match was Bryce, a legit friend of Kingston’s, as was made canon roughly a month ago. Bryce didn’t want Kingston to lose his career along with the match, so it worked that he was there pleading with Kingston as much as Moxley.

Opening with Omega VS Hangman was a great surprise and those two really went above and beyond. It makes a lot of sense for Omega to win. Moxley VS Omega, revisiting the first year of AEW, will make for great story as we go further into the second year. I suppose there is a way those two could drag it out until February when Revolution 2021 happens, but that’s a rather long build. Perhaps that’s part of why Archer wants to get involved against Kingston and “The Fam” on top of the title hunt. Also I just want to say that’s a bit of a lame and lazy name for Kingston’s faction but oh well. Hangman’s story is also the one that’s properly paced for the story Cody already did of “If I don’t win this title now, I’ll never challenge for it again.”

Let’s be honest, Cody still could’ve ended up TNT Champion this whole time even without playing that card. Hangman is surely going to pull that move during the Summer of 2021 when he finally makes his way back to the title for perhaps Double or Nothing or even All Out. Then Hangman will have his back against the wall against Moxley or Omega, which makes for a great match-up either way, and that will be Hangman’s moment so that he has the best actual long term storytelling of AEW. Speaking of Cody, glad to see WWE gave up on the name blocking thing. Cody VS Darby was great stuff, lots of strong character work and story references, and of course it had to be Darby winning. Team Taz getting involved at the end there was a good move given what has been built, including Will Hobbs again helping Darby. A little disappointed Cage and Starks both grabbed at the belt when Cage is FTW Champion, but I suppose wrestlers are allowed to be greedy about that stuff.

Both women’s championship matches were really good tonight, and it’s exciting to see Thunder Rosa back again. She’s signed with NWA until late into next year so obviously she’ll have another shot at that title. I wonder how much of that story will be divided between NWA and AEW. It’s obviously a clever way to get fans watching NWA, of course. As for the AEW Women’s World Championship, it’s great for Shida that she retains in a match on par, maybe even better than Double Or Nothing’s earlier this year. I just felt like story should’ve dictated Nyla winning with cheating thanks to Vickie, because that’s literally why they’re a duo now. But Vickie actually humbling Nyla there is an interesting twist, so maybe they have plans for how to add to this.

Cassidy VS Silver was pretty good but it still feels like something they could’ve done on Dynamite. Same goes for Miro and Kip confronting Cassidy and Best Friends backstage. Not quite sure where that story is going but Cassidy VS Miro could actually be really good stuff. Also not sure why we needed to fill time with Natural Nightmares announcing the first-ever Bunkhouse Match with Butcher and Blade, but hey, that sounds like it’ll be great stuff. The Elite Deletion was a really good cinematic style match, but it wasn’t quite what I expected at first, then turned into everything I totally wanted and more! Hurricane and Gangrel show up to reference the unfinished project Hardy was working on while still with WWE, so that was great, and there was great use of editing to up the brutality and physical damage on Sammy. Who knows what happens next, but maybe Sammy returns with some kind of BROKEN persona of his own to take this to an even crazier level.

Jericho VS MJF was a really good match, but of course MJF finds a way to win. I did like how he had a target and was going after it in the right arm, aka the Judas Effect arm. But then he also had his many back-up plans, and referencing the late, great Eddie Guerrero is always a plus. There has to come a point when tensions reach boiling levels, maybe Hager and Wardlow fight because of obvious overlaps in their role as the big, mean muscle. And honestly, Bucks VS FTR was everything expected and more. I loved that FTR and Bucks each used a few finishers of iconic tag teams from all around wrestling, even DIY Ciampa and Gargano of NXT. That alone is FTR saying Ciampa and Gargano are among the greats, which they are. But of course with the all or nothing stipulation, Bucks were going to win to be the flipside to Cody. Omega showing up but Hangman hanging back was great, too, as it gives us another glimpse into the still rocky dynamic within The Elite.

My Score: 9.4/10

MJF VS Rush!

The Wolf of Wall Street’s return really angered El Toro Blanco, and then Rush’s attitude towards him upset MJF! They brawled hard last week, but now they’ll get to fight uninterrupted! And for that matter, this match will be uninterrupted as there will be NO COMMERCIAL BREAKS! Will MJF remind Rush that he is better than him and he knows it? Or will MJF mess with the bull only to get the horns?

The ref has to keep between the two as Rush steps inside the ropes. The bell rings and the hands start flying! Fairfax fires up as these two go forearm for forearm, then Rush gets the edge. Rush sits up, into a SUPERKICK! MJF hammerlocks and lifts Rush, for a CRADLE DDT! Cover, TWO!!

MJF is frustrated, he checks his teeth, and then stands back up. MJF storms back over to Rush, drags him up, but Rush stops the suplex to fire hands! Rush whips, but MJF stops himself to CLAW Rush’s back! MJF reels Rush in, Rush fights free and whips. MJF goes up and over but the leg jams! Rush runs up, but MJF steps over to SNAP PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Rush stops the ref’s count with his own hands! MJF seethes but then he aims from the corner. Rush rises, the fans rally, and MJF runs in, but into an OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY into buckles! MJF slumps down but the fans rally and duel again!

MJF stands up, Rush goes to the other corner. Rush runs back in but MJF pops him up to mule kick! MJF goes up, leaps, but into a HAYMAKER! Rush reels MJF in, STRAITJACKET PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! Rush stomps MJF, leaves him behind to refresh the count, then talks smack on the “tough guy hero” of AEW. The fans rally for MJF but Rush SMACKS him into railing again! MJF sputters while Rush gets a chair! The ref reprimands but Rush slides the chair into the ring. The ref goes for the chair, but this is so Rush can get the bright green cable! Rush LASHES MJF! And LASHES him again! And LASHES him again! MJF writhes, and now Rush CHOKES MJF with the cable!

Rush dribbles MJF off the floor, but leaves him be as the ref storms over. The fans boo but Rush snatches a sign to rip it up! The fans boo but Rush puts MJF in a corner of the railing. MJF then gets Rush up, suplexes, and BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, MJF wins!

Winner: MJF, by pinfall

Maxwell Jacob Friedman showed that not only could he take it, but he could dish it out! But wait, who is sarcastically clapping on the tron? It’s The Cage of Agony and Hechicero! The Machine “congratulates” MJF, and welcomes him back. Brian Cage also adds that the EVPs wanted him to pass along their congratulations, as well, especially after all the “lovely things” MJF had to say about them. So much so, that at Forbidden Door, the hometown boy with the bum shoulder has a nice surprise waiting for him, and that is Hechicero. Hechi then tells MJF that he talks a lot about this and that, but this is the Alchemist of Lucha Libre!

Hechicero promises that when he and MJF face off, he’ll break MJF’s arms and it’ll be the end of him! Toa Liona adds a roar, and clearly The Young Bucks have put a hit out on MJF. But will The People’s Scumbag prove that no matter the language, he’s better than the rest, and they know it?

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin & Kyle O’Reilly.

Renee Paquette is with Freshly Squeezed and his all-star teammates for tonight. The conglomeration seems to have added one more since last time. Cassidy says c’mon, Renee. Oh, of course. Renee turns to the ROH World Champion, and Mark says if he may please… “Now it was only one week ago this very evening that I stood here and I proclaimed today is today, and we’re not gonna get where we’re going by looking in the rearview mirror. And then I proceeded to go get pinned and lose the match for my team, my bad boys. It will not happen again! But I ain’t focusing on that, because the word of the day is vengeance! Today, the word of the day is redemption!

“That’s right! There’s two words of the day today! The conglomeration is here, and today, we have Mr. Hey You Get Off My Cloud, Dante Martin! My fellow participant in the TNT title ladder match at Forbidden Door! But tonight…” Jack Perry steps in! The Scapegoat gives The Chicken a smirk as he moves on, and Mark tells Jack to get his ass outta here! They ain’t worried about yesterday or tomorrow! Tonight, it’s an ALL-STAR 8 MAN! Let’s go, baby! Mark heads out, Kyle says he’ll follow that man anywhere! Dante says hell yeah! Cassidy offers Renee a friendship bracelet. She’d love one! Thanks. Cassidy asks Renee who was that guy, in reference to Jack Perry.

Well, Cassidy is still his usual self but everyone else on the team is all fired up! Will they take the fight to Roderick Strong, The Don Callis Family and their fourth man, Zack Sabre Jr? Or will someone #JustTapOut?

Will Ospreay is here!

Fairfax fires up as the AEW International Champion makes his way out to the ring, but he’s not the only one, because here comes Swerve Strickland! The AEW World Champion has Prince Nana dancing to the song as he goes to the ring, and we’re getting one more face to face between these two ahead of their match at Forbidden Door for Swerve’s title. Both champs get the mic and the fans chant “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Ospreay then says here we are again, same ring at the same time again. Last time, before Ospreay snatched that belt from Swerve’s hands, Swerve said he couldn’t carry the weight of both worlds.

Well oddly enough, Ospreay seems very capable of doing that. Allow him to remind Swerve that he held THREE different championships from THREE different continents, at the same time. The fans cheer that! Ospreay says he is going to test Swerve. Swerve learns what the world already knows, and that is that Ospreay is the best in the world today! The fans cheer but Swerve says this is where Ospreay’s already messed up. Swerve is the best. He of course has been watching Ospreay, he has eyes and ears everywhere in this business.

That said, they’ve been taking two different paths the last five years, and it all culminates at Forbidden Door for the AEW World Championship. How fitting is that? Ospreay, holding multiple international championships, and Swerve holding down two different words: Pro-wrestling, and entertainment. And Swerve’s been doing it all by himself. But don’t make him forget, last year at Forbidden Door, Ospreay VS Omega. Ospreay didn’t win on his own. Is that what Ospreay will do to win this title? The Don Callis Family will help him try, and Swerve does mean try, to take the title?

Oh, is that what Swerve thinks? Swerve thinks Ospreay needs Don Callis? Do the fans think Ospreay needs Don Callis? “NO!” Ospreay says trust him when he says he does NOT need Don Callis or the Family, he can do this by himself. The Don Callis Family is watching backstage, and Don himself doesn’t seem too happy to hear that. But Ospreay says that seeing as how we’re bringing up last year, why stop there? Ospreay beating Omega was only the start of the Summer of Ospreay! After that, it was Kazuchika Okada, then Shingo Takagi, then Chris Jericho at All In Wembley! Bruv, while Swerve had a hit row, Ospreay had a hit list, and he didn’t miss a single one!

The fans like that one, and then Ospreay asks if Swerve feels that pressure. Ospreay feels it, cuz he sees Wembley on the horizon. Swerve should feel the pressure because this is going to be his first title defense in THE main event on a PPV! And everyone wants to see Swerve. What if the “Killshot” is just centimeters off? Is Swerve that confident? Why? Because Ospreay won’t use that one move? Nah, bruv. Whether it’s the Oscutter, Stormbreaker, or he caves Swerve’s head in with the Hidden Blade, the next morning, Swerve wakes up without that title. And that pain he feels walking down the ramp won’t be as bad when he looks at the crowd and admits Ospreay is on another level!

That pain won’t be as bad, but what he feels if Ospreay does use Storm Driver? Swerve won’t walk out of the arena, so he better be thankful. Swerve laughs that off and says Ospreay keeps using “If” over and over. Swerve is the world champ, he doesn’t go off “if” but off certainty! Swerve is the world champion, and while this may be his first PPV main event as such, this is Ospreay’s first PPV main event PERIOD, bruv! And Ospreay has Swerve to thank for that! Ospreay’s list of people to get here, yeah, it’s real nice. Let’s talk about his friends, like Shota Umino and Mercedes Mone, them doing the dances on social media.

What’s Swerve’s point? Swerve’s point is that he does not have friends! He got rid of them! Anyone that came for him for this title, anyone he had to go through for this title, they are bodies now! Numbers on a list, names on a grave, and they mean nothing to him! Question for you, Ospreay: if Swerve breaks one of Ospreay’s legs, who is Ospreay then? If Swerve breaks Ospreay’s arm, will the people still love him? You can break Swerve’s legs, arms and shave him bald, he is STILL Swerve Strickland, the wrestler, the rapper, the businessman, the actor, the podcaster! None of that changes! This business will eat you up. Look what it did to Swerve.

Swerve tried to help Ospreay, telling him that he has to sacrifice and sacrifice and sacrifice that much more to be in this position. But Ospreay doesn’t get that yet. Ospreay has to sacrifice the things he loves. Hell, he has to sacrifice the love he has for this business, for his wife and son! Ospreay ain’t ready for that. Ospreay stops Swerve there and says to never mention his son again. Don’t make this personal. Nana speaks up and says this is not the place nor the time. Save this emotion, save this fire, save all you’ve got, for the AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door! “Whose house?” Ospreay says “MY HOUSE!!”

Ospreay goes to leave but Swerve has the music stop. Question: what if Swerve does want to make this personal? Because when it comes to this world title, it is always personal. When Ospreay goes home, send Swerve’s regards to Alex & Harry. Ospreay storms right up into Swerve’s face! This is ready to explode, all it needs is a ref and the bell! Will either man survive this battle on Long Island now that Swerve’s lit the fuse?

The Don Calls Family reacts.

Trent is riled up, saying Ospreay is betraying the family and you don’t do that. Konosuke is also upset. Kyle says Ospreay didn’t mean that, but Don has everyone calm down. Don knows Ospreay better than his own mother. It’ll all be fine. Let’s just go. Trent and Konosuke follow down, but what is Kyle feeling when he’s known Ospreay the longest?

8 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe & Dante Martin VS Zack Sabre Jr, Roderick Strong, Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher w/ The Kingdom!

We heard from the conglomeration, and we know tensions are high on the other side, but everyone needs to focus on Forbidden Door. Will Freshly Squeezed be ready for the Front Man? Will the Violent Artist prove that he doesn’t need the Savior of the Backbreaker? Will future opponents in The Chicken and Angel Dorado be able to coexist? Or will ZSJ, Roddy & The Don Callis Family all be feeling good in Fairfax?

The teams don’t even sort out, they just start throwing hands! Well, mostly, as Cassidy takes his time stepping in, and ZSJ waits patiently. Roddy TOSSES O’Reilly, Konosuke has Dante and Mark goes after Fletcher. Cassidy takes off the denim jacket, puts it aside, then takes off the shirt. The sunglasses are handed off to the ref, and then Cassidy puts his elbow pad on. Their teammates have stopped brawling, so Fletcher gets in to CLOBBER Cassidy and Mark gets in to DECK ZSJ! Mark tags in, he UPPERCUTS Fletcher, then runs him into buckles! Mark CHOPS, brings Fletcher in, and suplexes for a BRAINBUSTER!

Fletcher flounders away but Mark stomps him in a corner. Mark climbs up, rains down fists, and goes all the way to TEN! Roddy goes after Mark, the ref reprimands, and Fletcher takes a swing. Mark dodges, but men run, DOUBLE LARIATS take them both down! Dynamite returns to single picture as both men crawl for their corners. Hot tags to Cassidy and ZSJ! The fans fire up as these two meet again, and ZSJ keeps Cassidy from putting his hands in his pockets! So Cassidy wrenches, spins ZSJ around, but ZSJ spins Cassidy to wrench and wrench and wrangle! Cassidy kips up, WRINGS ZSJ, but ZSJ kips up to wrench and cording hold.

Cassidy drags ZSJ down, goes for a leg, but ZSJ pops Cassidy into a sunset flip! TWO, and ZSJ cravats! Cassidy endures, rolls, but ZSJ holds on! The fans rally, ZSJ headlocks, and Konosuke tags in as Cassidy powers out. ZSJ bails out, Konosuke DECKS Cassidy! The fans boo, The Kingdom is all fired up, and Roddy snipes a tag! Roddy and Konosuke argue, that lets Cassidy tag O’Reilly! O’Reilly KIKCKS away on Konosuke and Roddy! The fans fire up, Roddy ducks so Konosuke takes the ENZIGIRI! O’Reilly JAWBREAKERS Roddy, runs, but Taven distracts the ref so Bennett can trip O’Reilly up! STRONG KNEE!

Roddy reels O’Reilly in for a BACKBREAKER! Roddy rains down fists on O’Reilly, then soaks up the heat from the fans. Roddy stalks O’Reilly, drags him up, and CHOPS! The fans rally, Roddy CHOPS again, but Kyle hits back! They brawl forearm for forearm and O’Reilly gets the edge. Roddy kicks low, CHOPS, then CHOPS again! O’Reilly blocks a chop, wrenches and WRINGS the arm! Tag to Dante and ZSJ storms in. Dante dodges to fire off forearms! ZSJ gets around, Roddy runs up but Dante BOOTS Roddy to arm-drag ZSJ! Then Dante DOUBLE RANAS! Konosuke runs in, Dante dodges to DECK Fletcher!

Dante dodges Konosuke again, goes up and around then GAMANGIRIS! Springboard, Fletcher takes the CROSSBODY! Dante runs but Konosuke BOOTS him! Konosuke goes up but Dante jumps up! Dante fires hands, but Fletcher YANKS Dante down! Dante staggers, Fletcher reels him in and sends him up to Konosuke! SUPER POWERBOMB!! High stack, Mark & Cassidy break it! They get tossed out by the rest, but Mark brawls with Roddy! Roddy signals to Konosuke but Konosuke still tags in. “This is Awesome!” as Dynamite goes picture in picture again.

Cassidy, O’Reilly and Mark are all down on the outside, but Dante fires body shots on Konosuke. Dante rises up, Konosuke shoves him and DECKS him! Cover, TWO! Konosuke is annoyed but he drags Dante up. ZSJ tags in, even though Roddy tries to snipe it again. ZSJ UPPERCUTS Dante, UPPERCUTS him again, and UPPERCUTS him again! Dante falls into the corner, ZSJ tags Roddy in, and Roddy stands Dante up to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! The ref counts, but Dante fires hands in return! But Roddy DROPKICKS Dante down! This all-star appetizer of Forbidden Door was a feast! But then Jack Perry DECKS Dante outta nowhere! The Scapegoat’s a jackass but he gets outta there! Mark and Konosuke brawl, and this all leaves Cassidy and ZSJ to stare down. Hands up, and into pockets! Cassidy has the big win here tonight, but will ZSJ make sure “Orange Bollocks” isn’t Freshly Squeezed?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

“Hola, Stephanie. Gracias for sending me your partner, Zeuxis, last week to ‘soften me up.’ She fought so hard, but all she really did was give me that taste of the lucha style I love so much. You say I’ve been sitting around? B*tch, I’ve been training and working my ass off to get that title that should’ve been mine. So let’s set things straight. Arrogance? No, sweetheart, that is confidence of someone who has walked the red carpets, somewhere you have never been. I am making history all over the globe. And at Forbidden Door, the titles aren’t just up for grabs, they’re mine to claim. So you wanna be La Primera? Well let’s see if you can handle La Jefa.

“There’s a price to pay when you mess with Mercedes Mone.” The CEO is coming for it all, but will she become the Two Belt Boss? Or will Stephanie Vaquer set a new standard when she becomes a Quatro Crown Queen?

Rush snarls backstage.

A hand pats him on the shoulder, and he turns to see it’s Don Callis. Don says this is an opportunity for him. Is the Don Callis Family looking to add El Toro Blanco to the mix?

But will The EVPs continue to hold down the AEW Tag Division? Or will Platinum Max & The Five Tool Player earn themselves some golden tickets back to the top?

Samoa Joe & Hook walk ‘n’ talk in the hall.

The Samoan Submission Specialist always wanted to know, what is the best slice in New York? Easy, it’s Bari’s by Hook’s place. Joe says the problem with New Yorkers. They talk too much. Their rent’s too high, and act like the best stuff is always by them. If it was Joe, he’d go for the worst place because that’ll have the best deal, since no one wants to live over bad chopped cheese. Hook says yeah, that makes sense. Then they gear up in front of the Premier Athletes’ door, just like last time. But then Joe has Hook hold on. Joe’s getting bored dealing with these guys, so when they go in there, Hook needs to be a little extra.

Extra? Yeah, extra. Aight. They bust in, Hook shouts, “GOOF TIME!” but there’s no one there. There is a note, though. Joe reads it. “Dear belligerent savages, I expected this barbarism. Therefore, I challenge you to a three-on-three wrestling contest on Collision against my associates. Signed, ‘Smart’ Mark Sterling.” Joe groans. Fine, we got a fist fight this weekend. They all in? Hook says bet, and Katsuyori Shibata behind the camera uses text-to-speech to say, “I am going to smash these goofy b*tches.” Joe smiles, and then makes fun of Hook going with “Goof time.” What? He said “be extra.” Okay, we’ll workshop that.

Joe, Hook & Shibata head out, will they tear down Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari & Josh Woods once and for all?

Mariah May is in the ring.

The protege of Toni Storm says it is now time for the Forbidden Door AEW Women’s World Championship contract signing. The fans cheer, and Mariah introduces herself as the host for tonight. Introducing first, the challenger, “Mina Shirakawaaa~!” The Fighting Gravure Idol struts her way out to the ring, already wearing gold on her outfit in anticipation for the title match. Mariah holds the ropes open, then gives Mina a friendly hug before Mina takes her seat. Then Mariah introduces THE AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm! The fans cheer as The Leading Lady of AEW makes her way out, Luther by her side.

Mina is annoyed that Mariah holds the ropes open for Storm, and also that Mariah and Storm give cheek kisses. Storm takes her own seat, and Mariah says, “Ladies, icons, friends. This match is going to be very difficult for me. I know what you’re both capable of, and I understand that you need to prove who the best woman is. But I just want you to know that… I love you both.” The fans go, “Aww…!” Mariah says no matter what happens- Mina interrupts by saying, “Mariah, shut up!” Storm is upset for Mariah but Mina tells Storm that in Stardom, Storm was a legend. In AEW, Storm became a star. But as champion? Storm got soft! Storm got weak!

“Everybody says ‘We Want Mina~!'” Fans are torn, but Mina says no one wants Storm anymore. And at Forbidden Door, Mina takes the title and she takes “her girl.” Mina signs her part, and she’s playing for more than just the title. Storm tells Mina if she raises her voice to Mariah like that again, and Storm will slap Mina’s bloody tits off! The fans fire up and Storm says, “You don’t want Toni Storm? Well… This buffet is wide open, so grab a bowl and line up!” What? “Because darling, I have some advice for you. Chin up. Tits out. And watch for the SHOE~!” Storm signs her part, and the match is official!

The fans cheer, Mariah takes the mic back and says it is official. Mina tells Mariah that SHE must choose! Mina or Storm! But then out comes Saraya! She tells everyone to shut up! Even the fans! She is so sick and tired of this, and of these girls! She didn’t come alone, b*tch! Well, she has Harley Cameron by her side, but wait! ANNA JAY sneaks in from the crowd! Anna drags Mina out to POST her! Saraya gets in to DECK Mariah while Harley drags Storm out to send her into barriers! The Outcasts and Anna clear the table and bring it around! They prop it up in a corner, go after Mariah, and Saraya reels her in.

But Storm gets in to SHOE ATTACK! SHOE for Harley, SHOE for Anna, GERMAN SUPLEX for Saraya! Saraya flounders around, Storm says kiss this! But Saraya moves, SWEET HIP MUSIC through the table!! The Outcasts have added a new member, and yet Mina has Mariah on the stage to stay safe. Has Mariah already made her choice? Or is it Mina making the choice for her?

Claudio Castagnoli speaks.

“Owen Hart Cup quarterfinals. Eight hopefuls vying to win the tournament, to get a shot at the AEW World Heavyweight Championship at All In in London. Now, as the ‘voice of reason,’ I would like to say that myself and Pac are the prime candidates for that spot at Wembley. Pac, I know we’ve had our differences, but I’m looking forward to stepping into the ring with you. Let’s not do this for selfish reasons. Let’s not do this for me, let’s not do this for you, let’s do it for all the fans in Europe and all the fans watching AEW at home. Let’s do it for something bigger. Pac, when you and me collide, let’s do it for wrestling.”

Stokely then calls out Willow! After what he and Kris did to Willow, they know she wants to beat their asses. But if Willow lays a finger on either of them, she’ll be pop-lockin’ in the same cell as Justin Timberlake. But then Willow gets Stokely’s attention on the tron! Willow says hi to Fairfax, and wishes everyone a Happy Juneteenth. Oh, and Stat… “Congrats” on the win. Kris is on to the second round. And in case they missed the brackets, but Willow has Deeb this Friday on Rampage in Fairfax. And when Willow wins and moves on to the second round, there will be no more running. Willow will get to whoop Kris’ ass!

And then Willow will be one more step closer to her goal of going on to Wembley Stadium. So see you Friday! Willow smiles, but will she pulverize the Professor of Professional Wrestling? Or will Serena’s test be too much even for last year’s Queen of Harts?

Backstage interview with Private Party.

Renee is with Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy, as well as their personal bouncer, Cheesecake, and brings up that last week, they made quite the impression on TV Time with Chris Jericho when they did some serious damage on The Learning Tree and his crew. Are they looking to take some of that momentum into their match with Komander & Metalik on Rampage? Quen says they’d be stupid if they didn’t. But if there’s one thing The Learning Tree learned, it’s that Private Party ain’t no joke. But speaking of Jericho, he says hi and steps in, waving to the camera. Big Bill & Bryan Keith are with Jericho, and he admits, Private Party did get the upper hand on them last week.

But they had to cheat to do it, didn’t they? But que sera sera, right? Jericho still wants to give his “branches” a lesson, and this week’s lesson is this: When facing luchadors like Jericho did as “Corazon De Leon (Lionheart)” all those years ago, as one of the biggest starts in Mexico’s history, Jericho always avoided the “martinete,” aka the piledriver. Whenever someone tried to use that, he said that doesn’t work for him, brother, and just didn’t do it. So keep that in mind! Thanks, guys! Thanks! Jericho leaves, Bill lets Private Party know they made “quite the first impression.” But not all first impressions are good.

Though, they are looking forward to the match with Private Party on Saturday Night Collision. Oh, and that match on Friday? They’ll be watching. Uh, appreciate that. Bryan says if these two cabrons want to tope conjilo, they better respect Jericho! Redwood and Bad Apple head out, and Kassidy says what they need to respect is the enda. Enda what? THE ENDA THIS- Quen stops Zay there. Back to you, Excalibur.

Daniel Garcia VS Rhett Titus!

While the International Champion has his eyes on Swerve, the chase after the International Championship continues for Red Death. Will Garcia prove himself worthy in time to step through the Forbidden Door? Or will he just have to wait on the other side to see Ospreay in the ring?

The bell rings, Rhett runs in and SPLASHES Garcia in the corner! Rhett fires off fast hands, stomps away, but the ref counts. Rhett lets off at 4, mocks the dance, then dismisses it with a wave. Rhett runs corner to corner, but Garcia gets up to SHOTGUN! Rhett falls back, the fans fire up, and Garcia gets Rhett up to TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Garcia drags Rhett up for a second TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Then he gets Rhett up again, a third TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Fans fire up for the hattrick, and Garcia reels Rhett into the GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Rhett flails, but he fades out! Garcia lifts Rhett up for the RED CROSS!! Cover, Garcia wins!

Winner: Daniel Garcia, by pinfall

Another big win for Garcia in the ring, but wait, Daddy Magic is getting jumped on commentary! The Gates of Agony are beating down Matthew Menard, and now Brian Cage & Hechicero are storming down the ramp at Garcia! Menard is thrown into the ring as a distraction, Cage & Hechi CLOBBER Garcia! La Jaula de la Agonía beats down on Garcia & Menard for what happened last Saturday on Collision! They get Garcia up, ROCK-A-BYE BOMB!! The fans boo but Liona CHOKES Garcia! But wait, here comes MJF! The Wolf of Wrestling was called out by Hechicero so he TACKLES Hechicero! And he CLAWS Cage’s eyes!

Kaun & Liona run up, MJF dodges, and then MJF asks them to take it easy. They storm up, into DOUBLE LOW BLOWS! The fans cheer as MJF pulls one over on the hole team! MJF stomps away on Hechicero but Cage GERMAN SUPLEXES him! Hechi clamps on and he beats down on MJF! Roll into the inverted RINGS OF SATURN! Hechi might break an arm tonight! MJF endures, the fans boo, but here comes WILL OSPREAY! The Aerial Assassin won’t let these bullies do what they want, and he fires off shots on Cage! Hechi lets MJF go as Ospreay BOOTS Cage! Ospreay fires hands on Hechi but Cage CLUBS Ospreay!

Cage & Hechi double whip but Ospreay handsprings to DOUBLE PELE! The fans are thunderous, and MJF rises up! MJF clotheslines Hechicero up and out while Ospreay does the same to Cage! The fans fire up, Ospreay and MJF back up but bump into each other! They turn around, see who it is, and they stare down. The fans lose their minds over this first time face to face! Garcia sits up to see what’s going on, and MJF gives a nod of respect. MJF leaves, and then Ospreay offers Garcia a hand. Garcia accepts and these two stand together. Will Garcia get his shot at that title Ospreay has right now? Or will Ospreay soon have two belts in his collection?

Backstage interview with Will Ospreay.

AEW returns as Renee catches up with Ospreay and asks what that stare down with MJF was about. Ospreay says he couldn’t give a crap about MJF, Ospreay went out there because he saw Garcia needed help. But then Brian Cage storms back here, security trying to slow him down! Ospreay dares The Machine to try it! How about Collision, then? Cage says yeah, and put that title on the line while you’re at it! Ospreay says alright then! Saturday Night Collision for the International Championship! Cage says he’ll kick Ospreay’s ass AND take his gold! The Machine backs down for now, and Ospreay says he’s a wanker.

Ospreay holds tight to his belt, and perhaps realizes his hot head got him into some trouble. But will Ospreay be able to survive a Collision with Cage to still bring his title to Long Island?

2024 Men’s Owen Hart Cup Quarterfinal: PAC VS Claudio Castagnoli!

The Bastard is in a foul mood, but the Swiss Superman said earlier tonight that this moment isn’t about either of them. Both men want to represent Europe in the tournament and go All In, but who is the one that takes a step closer to Wembley?

Meanwhile, Bryan Danielson has joined commentary to watch his friend and fellow Blackpool Combat Club member in action. They’re on the same side of the tournament bracket, so there is potential Bryan meets the winner of this match. Plus, Bryan just wants to see these two incredible wrestlers have it out. The bell rings and the two run in! Pac SHOTGUNS Claudio, then goes right up top! Claudio lost track of Pac but turns around, into the MISSILE DROPKICK! Claudio tumbles out of the ring, Pac hurries after him! Pac whips, Claudio stops himself, and Claudio ROCKS Pac! And UPPERCUTS! And CHOPS!

Claudio eggs Pac on, whips him, but Pac reverses! Claudio hits railing, and then Pac whips him into barriers! Claudio hobbles, Pac puts him in the ring, and then Pac climbs the corner again. MISSILE DROPKICK! Claudio tumbles, Pac goes to the near corner and climbs up again. But Claudio bails out this time, not wanting a third missile dropkick. Bryan says that’s smart, but Pac hops down to go out. Pac runs in around the way, but Claudio FLAPJACK UPPERCUTS him!! Fans lose their minds over that one, and even Bryan is fired up! Bryan says that is what you’re dealing with when you face Claudio, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Claudio drags Pac up, whips him hard into railing, then he winds up to run in. Claudio UPPERCUTS Pac against railing! Pac flops down, Claudio still hobbles with the pain in his hip, but Claudio feeds off the energy from Fairfax. Claudio brings Pac around but Pac fires body shots! Pac CHOPS, but Claudio seethes. Pac ROCKS Claudio, but Claudio FLAPJACKS Pac off the apron! Claudio shoves Pac into the ring, hobbles up to the corner and then climbs. Pac rises, turns around, and Claudio FLYING AX HANDLES! Down goes Pac and Claudio grits his teeth. Cover, ONE!! Pac is still in this but Claudio clamps on with a chinlock.

Claudio grinds Pac down, but Pac fights up to his feet. Pac fires body shots, only for Claudio to scoop and SLAM! Claudio runs, and DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO! Claudio stays on Pac with a cross between cravat and chinlock stretch. Pac endures, even as he’s twisted sideways, but the fans rally up. Pac fights around but Claudio HIP DROPS him. Claudio shakes out the bad leg, kicks at Pac, but Pac seethes. Dynamite returns to single picture. Claudio slaps Pac around, then scuffs him. Pac gets mad as he stands up, but Claudio fires a forearm. Pac gives it back, they go back and forth, but then Claudio shoves Pac away!

Claudio runs up but Pac BOOTS him! Claudio just comes back, only for Pac to dodge! Claudio POSTS himself, then tumbles out to the apron! Pac goes to the apron, runs up, and FLYING RANAS! The fans fire up while Claudio writhes. Pac goes up to mule kick from the apron! Then Pac TOP ROPE ASAI MOONSAULTS! The fans fire up as Bryan says that was pinpoint precision! Incredible stuff and the fans certainly love it! Pac refreshes the ring count, then aims again, ASAI- NO, Claudio catches Pac! But Pac swings to TORNADO DDT to the floor! Pac puts Claudio in and even Bryan is a bit worried for Claudio.

Pac goes up to the apron, and springboard ELBOW DROPS! Cover, TWO!! Claudio survives and Pac sighs. The fans rally, Pac storms up on Claudio and gives those scuffing kicks and pie faces back. Pac eggs Claudio on, Claudio snarls and ROCKS him! Pac fires back, they go back and forth! Claudio fires fast hands, then an UPPERCUT! Pac goes to ropes, Claudio runs up, but Pac sidesteps to SNAP GERMAN! Claudio rises and roars! But Pac BOOTS him! And SOBATS! And front KICKS! And SUPERKICKS! Claudio falls, the fans fire up, and Pac makes sure Claudio is in the drop zone. Pac goes up top again, for the BLACK- NO, Pac bails out as Claudio moves!

Claudio UPPERCUTS Pac down!! Cover, TWO!!! Pac survives and shocks even Bryan! Bryan points out Claudio has finished matches with that level of uppercut, and yet Pac survives. But wait, Claudio gets Pac’s legs! Time for the SWING~! The fans fire up and count along, and Claudio goes around TEN times before he tosses Pac! Pac is dizzy, Claudio gets moving, LARIAT! Cover, TWO!!! Bryan says you get so much power and speed from Claudio, and now he ties Pac’s arms up. RICOLA- NO, Pac slips free of the bomb and has a BRUTALIZER! Claudio is standing as he endures the hold, but he’s turning red!

Claudio kneels, but he refuses to give up! Claudio rises, reaches out, and Bryan says this is how much this means to him! Pac sunset flips, but Claudio rolls through! SHARPSHOOTER!! The fans are thunderous as Pac endures! Pac reaches out, but Claudio drags Pac away! Claudio sits deep on the hold, but the fans rally! Pac keeps moving, Claudio goes for the arm, CROSSFACE! Claudio rolls Pac away from ropes, even! Pac endures, even as Claudio pulls back! But Pac fights around, pushes this to a cover, TWO!! Claudio lets go in time, but Pac wheelbarrows, victory rolls, TWO!! Claudio escapes, UPPERCUTS but into a backslide!

Claudio fights that, so Pac inside cradles! TWO and Claudio has the cradle! TWO and Pac has it back! TWO!! They let go, Claudio goes for legs but Pac steps over! Pac tries a roll-up but Claudio steps around to sit down! TWO and Pac sunset flips! TWO and Claudio cradles, TWO! Ghost pin, PAC WINS!!

Winner: PAC, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

Even Bryan is shocked! The Swiss Superman gets snatched by a technical wrestling move and is disappointed in himself. So much so, that he rejects Pac’s handshake of respect! Bryan tries to tell Claudio that stuff like that happens, but Claudio says not to someone like him. The Bastard must now wait until Forbidden Door to know who he faces, what kind of dragon will he look to slay in the semifinals?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite with a lot of build in a lot of stories. For one, awesome match from MJF and Rush to open, and they really did keep it commercial free, there was not even one picture in picture break during that time. MJF of course wins, he’s on the return push. But I did find it intriguing that, since Tony Khan gave up on La Faccion Ingobernable, Don Callis has reached out on behalf of The Family. At the same time, great bit of the Don Callis Family being unsure about Ospreay after that great promo segment between Ospreay and Swerve. Swerve certainly does love making things “personal” in his feuds, I just hope for his sake, this isn’t the one time it backfires and he loses.

Now, Ospreay still has his hands full with the International Championship and is perhaps only making it harder on himself. He gets involved with helping Garcia against The Cage of Agony, instead of Dalton Castle which would’ve made sense from how Collision went. MJF also has his interest in Garcia so there’s some logic to him going out there, and everyone loved seeing Ospreay and MJF in the same ring together. Brian Cage sure isn’t winning the International Championship on Saturday but it’ll be a great match, and I’m still thinking Garcia gets his shot very soon. As I’ve said since Ospreay won the Forbidden Door title shot, they could easily make him do a double header and that’s why Ospreay goes 1-1. It’s just a question of: which title does he win and which does he lose?

Another week, another great promo from Mark Briscoe. And then that “All-Star 8 Man Tag” was a lot of fun, and I mean a lot of fun. Just chaotic enough and we got a great win for the Faces. Jack Perry getting involved right after was also good, and he of course picked on Dante Martin because Dante is not quite the scrapper as Mark Briscoe or Konosuke Takeshita are. Action and Lio for Rampage is going to be great stuff, but I’m pretty sure Lio wins as Action and Dante are teammates and AEW’s not gonna make teammates face each other like that. And we also got good interactions of Cassidy and ZSJ, that match is going to be a lot of fun, too.

Awesome stuff with The Bucks and Acclaimed. I especially liked Okada messing up the rap and then being a jerk about it. The match itself was awesome, it was like the titles were on the line already. And with Acclaimed winning here, I have a feeling they lose out in the title match, though surely with plenty of shenanigans to protect The Acclaimed while putting heat in The Bucks. It would also help in giving The Acclaimed reason to join Swerve against The Elite in the coming Blood & Guts match they teased a month in advance. Also, I like that a CMLL wrestler is getting their shot at Okada, that’s a nice opportunity for Ultimo Guerrero there.

Good promo segment from Private Party with Team Learning Tree, and I knew as soon as Private Party was on screen, we’d see Jericho show up. Good lines from Bill and Keith as usual, and Private Party is gonna be busy. They’re gonna have a great match with Metalik y Komander on Rampage, and they’ll have a very good match with Jericho & Bill on Collision. Just not sure who Private Party can find as a third man to take on the full Learning Tree team in a Six Man Tag as the blowoff. Really good promo segment from the Joe-Hook-Shibata trio to set up their Six Man Tag with the Premier Athletes, and I would think Joe, Hook & Shibata win rather handedly.

Good promo from Mercedes Mone, but doesn’t change my personal feeling of wanting her to lose just to pop her ego. But as I said before, Mone will win so that Stephanie Vaquer isn’t having to go all over the world. Great promo for the contract signing between Storm and Mina, but I feel like they’re forcing Mina to Heel it up since Storm is of course the fan favorite. Mina doesn’t need to be mean to Mariah to make this a tough choice for Mariah to choose between her mentors. Especially with The Outcasts showing up and recruiting Anna Jay to their side. That’ll be a very good Six Woman Tag, and I feel like Storm’s team will actually lose. Mariah is facing Saraya in the Owen Cup, so go-home math says Mariah loses to then win later. Plus, Mina and Storm can argue and put Mariah in the middle.

Then great Owen Cup matches tonight. Kris VS Nyla was really good, and a solid win for Kris. Good promo from Willow ahead of her own match, and yeah, we’re definitely getting Kris VS Willow in the semifinals, right? Great main event from Pac and Claudio, and I figured Pac would win, but it was a great sequence of pin attempts that really kept us guessing. And waiting on Bryan VS Takagi for Forbidden Door probably is for the best. It will certainly be the quarterfinal finale while we see Rey Fenix VS Jay White, as well as a wild card determined to defeat Jeff Jarrett. Pac VS Bryan is good for story, it creates tension between Bryan and Claudio since Claudio couldn’t beat Pac and will take offense to Bryan thinking he can. But Takagi is a lot of fun to watch…

My Score: 8.9/10

Christian Cage speaks.

“Welcome to Collision. Welcome to the one year anniversary of Collision. That’s right, it’s been 365 days since I singlehandedly put this show on the map when I won the TNT Championship int he very first episode, and went on a run with the TNT Championship that will never, ever be seen again. Now in the spirit of Christian Cage’s Collision, tonight, I guarantee you will see why AEW is where the best wrestle. And in the spirit of usual unpredictability, on the eve of the most important holiday of the year, Father’s Day, I guarantee you, Christian Cage’s Collision is going to end up being… very special.” Just what does The Patriarch have in mind for “his” show?

8 Man Tag: The Blackpool Combat Club VS Rocky Romero, Lio Rush & TMDK!

Jon Moxley is still IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Wheeler Yuta is still ROH Pure Champion, and both Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli are still bad, bad men! The BCC is looking to still be the baddest group around, but will they be rolling on towards Forbidden Door? Or will Azucar, The Bad Child and the NEW Undisputed NJPW Tag Team Champions prove they’re just a little bit badder?

The teams sort out and The American Dragon starts against Lio. The fans rally for “B C C! B C C!” as Bryan and Lio circle. They feel things out, Lio ducks the roundhouse but Bryan blocks a kick! Bryan gets a SLEEPER, but Lio slips under to waistlock. Bryan switches, shoves, but Lio redirects! Bryan gets under the heel kick and the fans fire up for the standoff! The ref has everyone back off, but Rocky gets cheap shots on Bryan! The ref reprimands, Rocky backs off, and Shane drags Bryan in to stomp him down. Shane drags Bryan up, cravats, then tags in Lio. They mug Bryan, and Lio fires off at the ropes! Tag to Rocky, he adds on with KICKS! Rocky stomps Bryan down, tags Mikey, and they mug Bryan some. Mikey then CHOKES Bryan on the ropes! The ref counts, Mikey lets off, and Bryan sputters as he reaches out. Mikey drags Bryan up to tag in Rocky, and the mugging continues! The ref has to keep The BCC back and that lets the whole team beat up on Bryan!

Rocky taunts Yuta, goes back to Bryan, and brings Bryan around to snapmare. Rocky clamps on a chinlock and he grinds Bryan down. Bryan endures, fights up, but Rocky becomes a backpack! Bryan still reaches out, steps forward, but Rocky lets go to whip Bryan to a corner! Collision returns to single picture, Rocky runs up to clothesline! Rocky keeps going, TWO-EVER! Then THREE-EVER! Winners: Blackpool Combat Club, by pinfall

The BCC defend homefield in AEW, and we’re just two weeks away from Forbidden Door! Moxley then gets the mic to say, “Tetsuya Naito of NJPW is a survivor, but The Forbidden Door is the final conflict. This is it. This is your last chance. I’m not coming to beat you,  Naito. I’m not coming to defend the IWGP Championship. I’m coming to Forbidden Door to put an end to Tetsuya Naito once and for all! Naito, I’m coning to Forbidden Door to finish you, to finish your career, to put you in a pine box, to put you in the ground, and to BURY your ass once and for all!!” A powerful ultimatum with still two weeks to go, will the Maniac also be the man that retires Naito?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

Youngstown, Ohio, please welcome The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn! The fans fire up as Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Daddy Ass make their way to the ring. Schiavone lets Caster have the mic, and he says usually the Acclaimed comes out here with a rap, some punchlines, but tonight, if you didn’t see, but the “love” EVPs, the Young F’s…! Well, those guys issued a $5 THOUSAND FINE on them for disparaging company executives!? There was a tweet about it! Seems these EVPs are outta touch with the fans! Youngstown confirms!

Caster says the fans don’t want a couple of women’s business suit wearing a-holes! They want Platinum Max roasting everyone! They want Bowens & Billy hitting the scissor fingers, and you bet they want The Acclaimed to become the NEW AEW World Tag team Champions! And if Bowens was The Bucks, he wouldn’t focus the pettiness on raps and tweets, but on the fact that they will be face to face with The Acclaimed for the first time in four years. And this isn’t the same team they faced before in 2020. They are not an upstart! They have the same exact accolades as The Bucks do! Scissor King, Platinum Max, FORMER AEW World Tag Team Champions, FORMER AEW World Trios Champions, the WINNINGEST team in the history of AEW!!

And all they have to get the titles back is beat The Bucks twice. So do your worst! FINE them, but all they want is to get those titles back, get this company back, and prove that EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed! In fact, forget fines! Take those fines, stick ’em up your virgin asses, because everyone here is gonna kick it old school for you! YO! YO! YO! LISTEN~! But then someone says NOOOO~! And it’s Brandon Cutler! He tells The Acclaimed to listen! This one year anniversary of Collision is to be a night of praise for the EVPs! They’ve carried this show since day one! But these limp noodles use their public platform to disparage!

So if they want a fine? FINE! Here’s a $10 THOUSAND fine! Then it’ll be $15- Christopher Daniels comes out here to stop Cutler. The Acclaimed had Daniels’ back, so here’s some good news. Tony Khan has REVERSED the fines, they get their money back! And Cutler, we don’t need to hear any more from you. But Cutler shows his clipboard to Daniels. Daniels SMACKS Cutler with the clipboard! Then DECKS him with his fist! Daniels TOSSES Cutler in for The Acclaimed to handle! They trip him up, hold him open, and Bowens goes up to say, SCISSOR ME TIMBERS~! Cutler crawls away in shame, but will The Bucks make sure The Acclaimed pay for that on Wednesday?

No Disqualifications: Thunder Rosa VS Deonna Purrazzo!

La Mera Mera tried to be an ally to The Virtuosa against their common enemy, but the only thing they had in common was that they wanted to be the one to take down Toni Storm. That made them into enemies, and it has escalated to this! With nothing holding these two back, who stops at nothing to make sure the other regrets ever showing up in AEW?

Deonna doesn’t wait, she attacks while Rosa’s on the corner! The bell rings and Deonna puts Rosa in the Tree of Woe. Deonna runs in, but Rosa sits up! Deonna slides out of the ring, and Rosa CROSSBODIES down onto her! Rosa fires off hands, then POSTS Deonna! The fans rally behind Rosa and she CHOPS Deonna against the apron. Rosa SMACKS Deonna off the steel steps, then off them again, and then again! Rosa stands on Deonna, Deonna pushes her away, and Rosa starts bringing out stuff from under the ring! A chain, a trash can, and the lid! Rosa SMACKS Deonna with the lid! And then pushes the lid into Deonna with a boot!

The fans want tables but Rosa runs up first. Deonna dodges, Rosa dropkicks the steps! Deonna drags Rosa up, puts an arm between steps and post, then BOOTS the steps! Rosa falls back, clutching the elbow! Deonna snarls, goes looking under the ring, and she brings out a kendo stick! Deonna throws that all the way over the ring, but she gets some chairs. Deonna wedges a chair in a corner, then gets Rosa up. Rosa reverses the whip but Deonna stops herself! Deonna kicks and whips, but Rosa stops. Rosa ELBOWS Deonna, fireman’s carries, then DEATH VALLEY DRIVERS! Cover, TWO! Deonna stays in this but Rosa goes looking for more!

Rosa brings out a TABLE! Youngstown cheers as Rosa gets that big thing up, only for Deonna to DROPKICK it into her! The fans boo but Deonna soaks up the heat, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Deonna drags the table up for herself, and she puts that in the ring. Deonna drags Rosa up, wrenches, then kicks Rosa. Deonna hammerlocks an arm before she POSTS Rosa! And then she hammerlocks and POSTS Rosa again! Rosa clutches the side of her face, but there’s no blood, yet. Deonna gets Rosa in the ring, then drags her over to snapmare by the table. Deonna steps over Rosa to trap the arms, then turns her over so she can dribble Rosa’s head onto the wood! Deonna lets off and Rosa flops over. Cover, TWO! Rosa is tougher than that but Deonna keeps her cool as Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and the two fight over a chair. Deonna JAMS Rosa up, takes a swing, but Rosa dodges! Rosa BOOTS the chair into Deonna! MOTORCYCLE STRETCH IN THE ROPES! Rosa’s out cold, Deonna wins!!

Winner: Deonna Purrazzo, by referee stoppage

That camera shot might as well have been a knockout! But Deonna still gets the win either way. Is Deonna going to move on from Rosa once and for all to then go after a title? Or will Rosa’s revenge not die with one loss?

Hechicero w/ The Gates of Agony VS Dalton Castle

Now this is a unique match-up! The Alchemist of Lucha is taking on The Peacock, and… wait are those The Outrunners being Castle’s substitute Boys? Well, uh, Turbo & Truth aside, will Castle be too hot to handle even for the man that summons fire? Or will Hechicero turn this Forbidden Door appetizer into sweet, sweet victory?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as these two get face to face. Hechi shoves Castle, Castle gets serious. They feel things out, tie up, and Hechi facelocks. Castle still powers Hechi to ropes, the ref calls the break, and the two let off clean. Castle gets fired up and eggs Hechi on. Hechi CHOPS, so Castle UPPERCUTS! Hechi goes to a corner, Castle runs in but Hechi dodge! SHINING WIZARD! Hechi keeps going, LA MYSTICA LEG DROP! Cover, Hechi wins!

Winner: Hechicero, by pinfall

That was some in-ring magic for sure! The Gates of Agony celebrate with their new ally, will they and The Machine, Brian Cage, soon take over AEW and CMLL? But then Hechi beats up on Castle, puts him in a corner, and Liona HIP ATTACKS! Kaun METEORAS! The fans boo, but The Outrunners run in! Only to get CLOBBERED by The Gates… Hechi then feeds Castle to the Gates for the LARIAT SANDWICH! And they CLOSE- NO! Daniel Garcia hurries out here, with a chair! He and Daddy Magic have Castle’s back as they run off Hechi & The Gates! Will even The Alchemist of Lucha fear Red Death?

Backstage interview with Dante Martin.

Arkady Aura is with Angel Dorado, as well as his teammates, Darius Martin & Action Andretti. She brings up Dante facing Lee Moriarty in the TNT Championship qualifier. However, everyone else is banned from ringside. Dante says that’s fine, because Top Flight is about friendly competition. He remembers a time when Lee Moriarty was once about that. Darius asks if Dante is running. He’s not. Is he scared? He’s not. Because this is one of the best high-fliers today! High-flying and redeye-ing! Action promises that at Forbidden Door, Dante will be the NEW TNT Champion! But in steps Lio Rush. He says what’s up, long time no see. Good to see he has some new friends.

Not sure if any of them knew this or not, but Lio and Action go way back. That’s true. So as far as Darius, nice to finally meet you. Darius knows who Lio is, and won’t shake his hand. Okay, that’s fine. Just wanted to wish Dante luck tonight. Maybe see them around. Lio heads out, Action says yeah, great seeing him again. Top Flight heads out, but will Dante book him and the boys some golden tickets to Long Island? Or will #TAIGASTYLE make sure Shane Taylor Promotions takes over New York?

The Patriarchy is in the ring.

And “Mother” Shayna Wayne asks for everyone’s attention. They boo her? They boo a mother?! How dare you! Shayna demands they all get on their feet right now and pay respect to “the greatest father to ever live,” THEIR Patriarch, Christian Cage. And with that, Captain Charisma makes his way out here. Christian takes the mic and sits in the fancy chair they have for him. “Well, I didn’t exactly have ‘spending the most important holiday of the year’ in The Rust Belt, but here we are.” The fans boo but Christian says Youngstown needs to sit down and shut their mouths while he conducts his business.

Now, he’d be remised if he didn’t acknowledge what today is. Today is the anniversary of his son, Nick Wayne’s biological father passing away. Christian says that can affect a child many different ways. You might wonder why the universe can be so cool. But in a strange way, Nick’s father dying was the best thing that could’ve ever happened to him, because it led him to Christian Cage. The fans boo but Christian says this veiled picture must of course be a gift for him. Did Nick commission this? Nick even has a card! Christian opens it up, and it says Happy Father’s Day. A homemade card from the heart? Should he read it?

“To Dad, You are the greatest TNT Champion in history,m and I can only dream of having half your tlanet, but I will keep striving to prove my worth. Love, Nick.” How thoughtful, Christian appreciates that. And uh, can we unveil the portrait now? Of course! The curtain is taken away, and it’s a failry impressive painting. Did Luchasaurus do this himself? Wow. Then uh, this is… Okay. But Nick’s card is unbelievable! He’s a wordsmith! It’s popping off the paeg! Christian has never been prouder, he will cherish this forever. And uh, Killswitch- The fans chant “LUCHASAURUS!” but he says shut up, he’s Killswitch! Killswitch, why can’t you be more like Nick?

Luchasaurus storms off! The fans cheer but Christian says he wasn’t excused! Get back in line! Christian has something important to say and everyone will want to hear this. Luchasaurus reluctantly stands back by the chair, and Christian says that’s a good looking guy in the picture either way. Now, it is no secret that Double Or Nothing was a couple weeks ago. And Christian clearly fell short in his quest to become AEW World Champion. But what you might not realize is that there is alternate footage clearly showing his shoulder was up! The EVPs want to do the right thing and show this footage, but he politely asked not to show it.

This family does not make excuses here! They just roll up their sleeves and get back to work! Christian vows to one day be World Champion, and that path starts with winning the Trios Championships! That’s right! Christian’s gift to his “sons” is that they will hold titles together. The fans still chant for Luchasaurus but Christian tells them to shut up! Now yes, it is uncommon for the father to give a gift to his children on Father’s Day, but that is what a good father would do. He would give anything to make his children smile. Hey, even Tony Khan’s dad gave him millions upon millions of dollars to start this company!

But here’s the thing, Tony Khan, this very instant, Christian Cage says this is HIS company! He is the greatest, most talked about and influential star in this sport! He will win every accolade until he goes down as THE greatest in history! So Tony, Christian is your father now. They are The Patriarchy, the next Trios Champions, the Faces of TNT, now and forever! Captain Charisma has spoken, but will his declaration become reality?

The Bang Bang Gang speaks.

Juice Robinson says it is the one-year anniversary of Collision, and they are the Collision Cowboys, the men who built this brick by brick! Juice broke his back carrying this place! Colten says that as such, they hold a lot of gold. There are a lot of teams gunning for them, but they can’t handle the pressure. House of Black tonight, and now The Patriarchy wants a shot? Yeah, it’s Father’s Day, but you don’t get special privilege. Get in line! Austin adds that House of Black, they’re not sure what’s going on, maybe they’ve been in the dark too long, but open your eyes, dilate the pupils, and uh, notice that Jay White isn’t here.

Tonight is NOT for the titles, but tonight is about proving whether or not if you can hang with the OGs! And if you’re not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP!

TNT Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Lee Moriarty VS Dante Martin!

As we heard from Dante, these two used to be friends, but ambition seems to have given #TAIGASTYLE a bit of a salty edge. Will Lee use that edge to clip Angel Dorado’s wings? Or will Dante prove that he not only does things the right way, but can win at the same time?

Lee fires more knees into Dante, shoves him, but Dante leaps up and over to sunset flip! TWO, and Lee ROCKS Dante with fast hands! Dante blocks a kick but not the KNEE! What a villain!

Lee gets Dante’s arms tired up, clinches, YOYO URENAGE! Into the BORDER CITY STRETCH!! Dante endures, reaches out, and he crawls with the one free arm! Lee kicks at that arm, but Dante uses a leg for the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer as Lee lets off, and then Lee brings Dante up! Lee suplexes into a SLAM, then covers, TWO!! Dante escapes that deep tuck and Lee is frustrated. Lee kicks at Dante while they’re both down, then Lee rises up. Lee aims, Dante rises, and Lee runs up, but Dante ducks the kick! JUMP KNEE! Lee wobbles, but he BOOTS back! Lee runs up, into a KNEE from Dante!

Dante goes up, METEORA! Lee is down and the fans fire up as Dante climbs a corner! MAMBA SPLASH!! Cover, Dante wins!

Winner: Dante Martin, by pinfall (advances to Forbidden Door)

And with that, the fourth spot is filled! Dante joins Mark Briscoe, Konosuke Takeshita & Jack Perry, but wait! Shane Taylor & Anthony Ogogo show up to mug Dante! The fans boo as STP are sore losers! BODY SHOT from Ogogo! But here come Darius & Action! They fight with STP but that’s 3v2! Shane DECKS Darius, Ogogo GERMAN SUPLEXES Action! URENAGE for Darius! The fans boo more but STP doesn’t care. Lio Rush hurries out here, he asks what this is all about. Shane dares Lio to bring his little ass in here! Lio does, and he slips under Shane to shove Ogogo into him! Then he schoolboys Ogogo to SPIN KICK!

Shane whips Lio but Lio stops himself at the ropes! Lio eggs Shane on, then DUMPS him out! Lee runs up but Lio TOSSES Him out, and HANDSPRING KICKS Lee into Shane! Lio stands tall with Top Flight, and refs hurry out to stop this from getting any wilder. Will Shane Taylor make sure Lio meets his final hour soon enough? As for Dante and Top Flight, they nod respect to Lio, but still no handshakes. Will Lio just have to give them all time to trust him?

Hikaru Shida speaks.

“I have been in AEW since day one. I am a three-time world champion. I am the longest reigning AEW Women’s World Champion. And I am officially entering the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. That tournament needs me. And Wembley Stadium needs me! And the Shining Samurai will go to Wembley Stadium to once again become Women’s Champion.” Will Shida shine all the way through the Summer to then go All In on an incredible fourth Women’s World Championship reign?

Kyle O’Reilly VS Anthony Henry!

The Violent Artist has been trying to do things on his own, but even now, Roderick Strong & The Kingdom tag along. They’re on commentary for this match, and BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite! It will be an “All-Star 8 Man” as Roderick Strong joins forces with Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita and Zack Sabre Jr. VS Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy, Dante Martin & Mark Briscoe. Will the Savior of the Backbreaker still be able to support his “friend” here tonight knowing that now? Or will Roddy find himself rooting for the other guy?

Winner: Kyle O’Reilly, by submission

Roddy says that’s because of his presence! Roddy says Kyle is clearly missing something, or someone, to help him get that edge. Will Kyle show Roddy plenty of that “edge” this Wednesday?

Six Man Tag: The Bang Bang Gang VS The House of Black!

We heard from Rock Hard Juice Robinson, Fully Cocked Colten, and… Austin earlier tonight, but now is time to put up or shut up! Malakai, Brody & Buddy have been World Trios Champions before, but will they get one step closer to becoming Unified AEW & ROH World Trios Champions? Or will the House fold when facing the Collision Cowboys in their house?

The trios sort out, but then they all step to each other. The fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS~!” but we get Juice and The Dark Father. Juice and Malakai circle, then tie up. Malakai headlocks, Juice powers out but Malakai runs him over! Cover, ONE and Juice arm-drags! Malakai headscissors, Juice kips free, but Malakai avoids the arm-drag to sit down. The fans fire up, so Juice lifts a leg a la dogs. Malakai stands up to KICK Juice down! Juice scrambles away, Austin tags in. Austin is all fired up, but then Brody tags in! Austin turns around and tags Colten! Colten says that’s fine, he can bark it up. Brody swings, Colten bobs ‘n’ weaves and ROCKS-

Er, well, no, Brody doesn’t seem too bothered. Brody runs Colten over, he runs Austin over, then runs them both over! The Gunns stagger up, Brody runs up to DOUBLE LRIAT them out! Juice runs in but Brody TOSSES him out onto The Gunns! The fans fire up as The House stands together, they all build speed, but the Bang Bang Gang gets in to say BANG! So the House DECKS them all! The House tosses everyone out and the brawl is on as Collision goes picture in picture!

Brody is after Juice, Malakai TOSSES Austin, and Buddy CHOPS Colten. Malakai BOOTS Austin into the crowd! Brody sits Juice in a corner to CHOP! Malakai joins in to mug Juice, and Buddy KNEES Colten. Brody brings Juice around to whip hard into railing! Austin returns but Malakai KNEES him down. Brody CLUBS Austin, the fans fire up, and Brody CHOPS Austin. Buddy brings Colten over to join in, and he UPPERCUTS Colten into a seat. Brody herds Austin and Juice that way, the Bang Bang Gang all take seats, and Malakai KICKS away on them all! The fans hoot and bark with Brody as he runs in, to TRIPLE CROSSBODY!

The fans cheer and high-five Brody as The Bang Bang Gang all slumps down. Brody drags Colten up to put him in, and then stalks Colten to his empty corner. Brody grins at Colten’s fear, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns again and Buddy tags Malakai. They mug Colten, then Malakai wrenches to tag Buddy. Buddy climbs up to DOUBLE STOMP Colten’s arm! Buddy taunts Austin, goes back to Colten and wrenches. Tag to Malakai and he KNEES the arm! Malakai wrenches but Colten throws him down by his hair! Tag to Austin and Austin stomps away on Malakai! The ref counts, Austin lets off, but Malakai BOOTS him! Austin runs up to CLOBBER Malakai! Austin throws hands, then tags in Colten. They whip Malakai, to BODY SHOT, KNEE LIFT, and DROPKICK! Juice tags in to SENTON! Cover, TWO!

Juice stands on Malakai, the Gunns YANK Buddy & Brody down! Juice whips Malakai hard into the corner! Juice stomps away on Malakai, argues with the ref, then drags Malakai back up. Juice snap suplexes, covers, TWO! Malakai is still in this and Juice is frustrated. Juice stands Malakai up to bump him off buckles, then he tags Austin in. They mug Malakai, Austin asks “Who’s the Ass Boy now?” “YOU!!” Austin frowns, then fires hands on Malakai. Tag to Colten, he stomps away on Malakai. The ref counts, Colten ROCKS Malakai but the fans rally up. Juice tags in, he stomps at Malakai, then eggs him on.

Juice HEADBUTTS, but Malakai ROCKS Juice, DECKS the Gunns, then fires off on Juice! Juice blocks a kick, to LEG LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Malakai is still in this and Juice is upset with the ref’s count! Juice clamps onto Malakai for a chinlock but Malakai endures. Malakai fights up as the fans rally, and Malakai KICKS the bad leg! Juice THROAT CHOPS back! Buddy’s bad knee is bothering him, but he hobbles up to tag in Brody. Brody storms in and the fans fire up as we go picture in picture again.

Buddy has medics check his knee, he may have taken himself out when he hit Juice. Brody does his best to focus on the match, and he puts Austin in a corner. Buddy is in some serious pain, though. Brody runs up to CLOBBER Austin in the corner! Brody hoots and barks and gets the fans back into this. Brody roars, runs, but Colten saves his brother! The Bang Bang Gang regroups on the outside, the medics are still checking on Buddy but it isn’t looking good. This is basically 3v2 now. Juice & The Gunns strategize, knowing they have the advantage now. The ref has Bang Bang Gang settle down a minute while Buddy is helped to the back.

The fans applaud as Buddy is doing his best to walk on the good leg, and Collision returns to single picture. But the Gunns jump on Brody, they and Juice mug him, and Malakai tries to help but is sent back out! The fans chant “YOU SUCK!” but the Bang Bang Gang doesn’t care! Tag to Colten and he stomps away on Brody. The ref counts, Colten tags Austin back in, and now Austin stomps Brody. Tag to Juice, he gets some stomps in! Malakai survives and Austin is stunned! The Gunns reload, call their shot, and they coordinate with Juice! Juice goes up, but Brody is back! The Gunns dodge him, 3:10 TO YUMA!!! But they have to get Malakai down!

Austin turns Malakai, Juice finally aims, but PAC is here?! The Bastard spooks Juice, trips him up, then flips off Austin! Austin swings on Pac, but turns around into THE END!!! Cover, The House wins!!

Winners: The House of Black, by pinfall

The Bastard told The Bang Bang Gang that he was not going to let what they did to Death Triangle slide! The House still gets the win, even with Buddy going down with a bad knee. But then The Patriarchy has to come in via the tron to ruin all the fun. Christian Cage says congratulations to The House. Congratulations on becoming the #1 contenders to the World Trios Championships. The only problem is, they’re not a trio anymore. The Patriarchy reveals they took out Buddy!! The Patriarchy leaves Buddy down and out, right as Malakai & Brody rush to the back! Will Christian Cage stoop to new lows just so he and his “sons” can rise up the ranks?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision for the anniversary episode, and I appreciate it was more rock, less talk. The only real talky stuff was everything Christian Cage did, but even that wasn’t so bad because he didn’t take forever getting to the point. He takes credit for all the good Collision content, heavily favors Nick Wayne over Killswitchasaurus, and then tries to hide his failure at Double Or Nothing by going for the trios titles, which he can totally just use Nick and Luchasaurus to win for him when the time comes. Really good promo from Bang Bang Gang in response, and great main event between Bang Bang Gang and House of Black.

If Buddy isn’t actually hurt, he was doing amazing acting tonight. And with how Christian “attacked” Buddy, it seems the story is the same either way: The House will need a new third man to challenge Jay White & The Gunns. Pac showed up to stick it to the Bang Bang Gang, so maybe The Bastard becomes an honorary member of The House of Black just to take the titles. And honestly, what better feud than Christian “Greatest Father Ever” Cage and “The Bastard” Pac, with how “bastard” also has the old definition of “a fatherless child.” And honestly, when is Luchasaurus going to break away from Christian? Should happen during the trios title match.

Really good 8 Man Tag, but I should’ve figured BCC would win, and that Moxley would again tell Naito that he’s done after Forbidden Door. It’s the same thing he’s been saying all week since Dominion last Sunday, he’ll probably keep saying it for those who weren’t paying attention, and I am starting to think that’s just because he’s going to lose in Long Island so Naito can have finish his last run with the world title. And good integration as Lio says hey to Dante before Dante has his match with Lee. Great win for Dante, and I figured he would because you need a true high-flyer in a ladder match. Lio helping fight off Shane Taylor Promotions is also interesting, can’t wait to see which way this splits. Could someone be leaving Top Flight to join STP?

Kyle VS Henry was a strange filler-not-filler, because at least we got the news of an 8 Man Tag happening for Dynamite. It’ll be a great match, with some Forbidden Door build involved as Cassidy will be facing Zack Sabre Jr. and now we’ll be seeing Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin, and Konosuke Takeshita in the ladder match. With that, feels like one of the Kyles takes a loss. Either Roddy purposefully costs O’Reilly or accidentally costs Fletcher. I’m thinking the former so that Roddy can insist O’Reilly still needs him to be relevant. Then they can take that feud through the Summer, maybe even into the Men’s Owen Hart Cup.

Really good promo from Shida, and she’ll be a great part of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Probably won’t win it, though, with the potential story of Mariah May challenging Toni Storm, or with Willow looking to go back-to-back. Very good match from Hechicero VS Dalton Castle, and it was a rather clever move that The Outrunners were the pseudo-boys that failed to save Castle while Garcia & Menard succeeded. Add Angelo Parker to that and you’ve got an 8 Man Tag right there of Garcia, Menard, Parker & Castle VS Hechicero & The Cage of Agony. Very good No DQ match from Deonna VS Rosa, but as I said earlier in the week, I figured Deonna would win. She’s a Heel, the current champions are Faces, she will make a good challenger to maybe the TBS Championship for All In.

And a great promo from The Acclaimed to call out The Bucks for their continued abuses of power. Cutler being the scrub that takes beatings on behalf of The EVPs is a pretty silly recurring gag, but Daniels getting in on the fun was good stuff. The Acclaimed surely do find a way to win the Title Eliminator in order to force a title match that The Bucks probably cheat to win. This probably still leads to Acclaimed helping Swerve for Blood & Guts, as I sensed on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
