Lance Archer VS Eddie Kingston!

The Murderhawk Monster and the Mad King are finally having a 1v1 contest, and it will truly be 1v1 because none of their allies are allowed ringside! Will Archer finally shut Kingston up about all the “almost” losses?

Kingston is after Archer the second he’s in the ring, and he CHOPS! Archer just grins! Archer throws his shirt off, throws it at Kingston and eggs him on. Kingston CHOPS, Archer BOOTS Kingston over! Archer runs and hits an elbow in the corner! And then goes corner to corner, hits another! Kingston avoids the third and fires off on a leg! Kingston BITES Archer’s head as they’re on the ropes! The ref reprimands, Kingston CLUBS Archer then CHOPS him again! Archer finally feels that, and Kingston puts Archer in a corner. Kingston CHOPS, Archer eggs him on, but Kingston pokes him in the eye!

Archer staggers about, Kingston elbows him on the back then goes after the leg. Kingston chokes Archer on ropes, lets off as the ref counts, then stalks Archer to another corner for kidney shots! Kingston keeps on Archer’s body, kicks the legs out, but Archer rakes eyes back! Fans rally as Archer ROCKS Kingston with a right! Kingston flounders, CHOPS back, and CHOPS again, then goes to a corner, Kingston goes up, leaps, FLYING SHOULDER! Archer stays up!? Archer shakes out the cobwebs but Kingston runs, but Archer DERAILS him! Fans fire up while Kingston sits up in a daze.

Archer stalks Kingston, drags him up by his ears, then brings him around to CLUB him. Kingston clings to Archer’s legs but Archer brings him up to CHOP him down! Fans want that “One More Time!” and Archer drags Kingston up to CHOP him again! Kingston flops down and Archer seethes as he drags him back up. Archer choke grips and CHOKE SLAMS Kingston to the apron! Kingston flops to the floor as fans lose their minds! The ring count climbs as Kingston stirs, but Archer goes out to fetch him. Archer drags Kingston up and bumps him off the camera! Talk about a close-up! “Everything is in my playground!”

Archer kicks Kingston, whips him and sends him into railing! Archer digs Kingston’s head into the railing! The ref counts, Archer lets off to scare the ref off, and then Archer goes back to drag Kingston up. Archer brings Kingston over to bounce off the timekeeper’s table! Kingston scrambles into the ring, Archer pursues and brings him up in a full nelson, for a SLAM! Archer says he’s just getting started with Kingston, and he goes to a corner! The Fam still found a way to screw Archer over! Kingston survives, and then The Blade and Butcher drag Archer up for the POWERBOMB NECKBREAKER! The Fam isn’t done, either, they sit Archer back up for Kingston’s BACK HAND! Jake the Snake tries to get up but the damage has been done. Will Kingston and his henchmen continue to wreak havoc on AEW?

Jon Moxley speaks.

“Okay, let me see if I’ve got this right. The Young Bucks are the tag team champions, and they’re friends with Kenny, but Kenny’s friends with The Goody Brothers, and they’re the tag team champions, too. So now they’re all friends? They’re all one big happy family? How is that going to work? Is that going to work?” No it’s not. The Elite is like The Young & The Restless. And then there’s Death Triangle, PAC & The Lucha Brothers, who don’t like any part of The Elite. They don’t even like Moxley, because they used to be friends with Kingston who has beef with Mox. But now Moxley has to team with them at Beach Break?

Moxley is a simple guy. Cold beer, hot coffee, room temperature water and sex in the morning because it’s a great way to start the day. The only person you can trust is number one, so he only trusts his two hands. But Moxley loves Six Man Tags, so saddle up, compadres. This’ll be fun! Gang warfare! Moxley doesn’t know what happens at Beach Break, but it’ll be wild~! Incendiary ingredients on Dynamite, don’t blink or you’ll miss it.

Sting and Darby Allin speak.

The Icon says they’ll get on a first name basis right now. Taz, Brian, Ricky, since they’ll be in that Street Fight at Revolution, and since Team Taz loves to throw out false accusations, Sting will say their feelings are hurt. They called these two hoodlums? Really? Darby is a bit of a hoodlum, yes, but in the streets, it doesn’t matter if you play it clean or dirty. It’s all about survival! Darby chucks his skateboard through a window, and admits he is a hoodlum, no different from Sting. Sting uses the baseball bat to smash up the rest of the window! Sting admits it, too. Revolution, Street Fight, showtime.

Y2MJF w/ The Inner Circle VS The Varsity Blondes!

There’s a lot of history to this match, even before things in AEW. But Chris Jericho won’t hold back on Brian Pillman Jr. over it, and he expects nothing less from Pillman Jr. in return. But will that mean the first 2v2 outing of Le Demo God and the Salt of the Earth won’t be a success?

Jericho revels in the fans singing Judas for him, the teams sort out, and MJF wants to speak first. MJF wants to talk with Sammy Guevara later, and then he says is that Griff? Look at Goldilocks here. Last time they met, MJF embarrassed Griff on live television. So let’s just skip ahead to where Griff loses, okay? NOPE! Griff DECKS MJF, keeps him in the ring, then rains down more fists! MJF scrambles away, Wardlow keeps him away from Griff, but Griff gets around to get back in. MJF dodges but Griff BOOTS him down! The Inner Circle gets MJF to safety and MJF gets a chair out of frustration. The Inner Circle keeps MJF from throwing this match and MJF says Griff is dead!

MJF gets back in the ring, talks trash, then tags out to Jericho. Jericho run sin but into a drop toehold! Griff wrenches Jericho, tags in BPJ, and the Blondes double whip, kick and NECKBREAKER to a leg drop, brother! Cover, TWO! BPJ CHOPS Jericho, wrenches and whips, but Jericho holds ropes to deny the dropkick. Jericho runs but BPJ dropkicks him down! Fans fire up as BPJ whips, Jericho reveres and MJF gets a cheap shot in! Jericho DECKS BPJ then tags in MJF!

AEW goes picture in picture as MJF CLAWS BPJ and tells Griff up his! MJF digs his fingers into BPJ’s face but lets off as the ref reprimands. MJF stalks BPJ, throws punches down on him, then soaks up the heat from fans. MJF feeds BPJ to Jericho’s boot, then CHOPS him! Tag to Jericho, Jericho throws hands, then tags MJF back in. Y2MJF double whip, and double flapjack BPJ down! MJF steps on BPJ, then so does Jericho. The Inner Circle soaks up the heat, MJF drags BPJ up to CLUB him down. MJF kicks at Griff but scrambles away before he can get hit. MJF chokes BPJ, covers, TWO! MJF rakes BPJ’s eyes, rakes his face on the ropes, then headbutts him!

Tag to Jericho, MJF digs his boots into BPJ as Jericho gets in Griff’s face, then Griff goes back to stomp and bump BPJ off buckles. Jericho hoists BPJ up top, CHOPS him, then climbs up to join him. BPJ throws hands back but Jericho clubs him. Jericho stands up on the very top, but BPJ GOURD BUSTERS him! BPJ gets up, leaps, and hits a crossbody! Cover, TWO! Fans rally while both men are down and AEW returns to single picture. Hot tags to Griff and MJF! The Ivy League MVP rallies on Y2MJF but MJF kicks low! MJF runs into Griff’s HUGE back drop! Griff wrenches and ROCKS Jericho!

Fans fire up as Griff goes corner to corner, BIG splash to MJF! Whip to the corner, SPLASH for both Y2MJF! DOUBLE SPEAR!! Cover, TWO!! MJF survives but Griff just fires up as he drags MJF up. Fans fire up with BPJ as he fetches Jericho into the ring. BPJ aims from a corner, springboards and leaps, into a JUDAS EFFECT!! LIONSAULT!! Cover, someone took out Griff, Y2MJF win!!

Winners: Y2MJF, by pinfall

MJF adds insult to injury as he throws BPJ out just so he can stand with Jericho. The Inner Circle’s “official” team in the tag division is off to a strong start, will they go all the way to the top and take the AEW World Tag Team Championships for their own?

PAC speaks.

“Here we go again!” Kenny Omega is taking liberties, acting like ‘Billy Big Bollocks,” acting like he owns the place and owns this business. He has the “clown” Callis and the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions, while manipulating some and blindsiding others. SO at Beach Break, bring the Good Brothers, because Pac and Rey Fenix will show you what brotherhood is! You hit them, they hit you back! Time to face the consequences!

AEW shares Shaq’s message from the AEW Dynamite Awards on TNT.

“Cody Rhodes, you little punk. You want to battle, you just name the time and the day. I’ll be there.” Cody looks like a little girl with that blonde hair. Shaq suggests we do this in March, aka Revolution. What will Cody say?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring!

To respond to Shaq’s comments right now, here’s Cody Rhodes! The American Nightmare goes to the ring, along with Coach Arn Anderson. Schiavone knows they want to respond to Shaq, but also to Jade Cargill from The Waiting Room. Cody says to respond to Shaq and Jade, he’d rather just give us the “pitch.” He’d like to say March 7th, AEW Revolution, it’d be himself and Brandi Rhodes VS Shaq & Jade, but life happens. He and Brandi are having a baby. “In these moments where I am rather confused and distracted,” Cody defers to The Coach!

And if we’re wondering how much of a coach Arn is, Arn chewed Cody out for taking Peter Avalon too easily last week. Arn has been right consistently for years, they talked with Tony Khan about where Cody fits on the Revolution card, so the floor is Arn’s. Arn says he wants to earn his money because he might contradict himself, so please be patient. But the fact is, Cody’s about to be a dad. That is right on the forefront of his mind, as it should be. That is the most important thing in his life.

But think about this: June 29th, 1985. What date is that to Cody? That was when Arn saw Dusty Rhodes crawl in the ring with Tully Blanchard, fight 30 minutes, then fly home in time to see the birth of Baby Cody. Now if Cody chooses March 7th, to jump in the Revolution, do it with eyes wide open, no regrets. But Arn will point out the obvious: there is a lot of time between the birthdate and the show. Doesn’t Cody want to be part of something? It’s hard to capture the public eye but he could do that with this match.

For 19 years, Shaq dominated the court as a world-class athlete. Jade, every time she walks in, she dominates that room. But the fact is, Arn’s seen something these last two weeks, something that can’t be measured or even rational to name. Arn wants Cody to see something. In steps RED VELVET! Velvet has had her own problems with Jade Cargill, and Arn hopes Cody sees the fire inside Velvet like what Cody has in him. Velvet gets the mic to stare down the camera and say she’s here because she is FED UP of getting attacked, watching Brandi get disrespected by a “big mouth coward” who knows Brandi can’t defend herself.

Everyone knows Cody would never lay a hand on a woman. But Velvet will! Velvet is about to stir that bitch-ass up! Fans like the sound of that! Arn says that’s what he meant! Then perhaps Jade and Shaq have the ball in their court! Are we still getting a huge mixed tag match for Revolution?

AEW issues the official invite to the Superbad Beach Break wedding!

Kip Sabian says “my heart is in my hands My head is in the clouds. My feet have left the ground. And my life, our life, is turning around.” Penelope Ford is so excited to marry this handsome man, the man of her dreams, the best kisser. So they cordially invite us to watch their wedding, with Miro as The Best Man, and of course “Charles” Taylor the butler will be there! Surely a wedding on a wrestling program will go smoothly, right?

Hangman Page VS Ryan Nemeth!

The Cowboy takes on the debuting “Hollywood Hunk” as Hangman tries to shake off the awkward situation where he had to reject The Dark Order’s recruitment proposal. Will he be able to focus against this hungry and determined wrestler?

The bell rings, fans rally for Hangman but Nemeth shoots in to get a leg. Hangman gets the rope but Nemeth says he got a point like this is collegiate wrestling. They tie up again, Hangman wrenches to a wristlock but Nemeth gets around to hammerlock then headlock, two points! Hangman powers out, Nemeth bumps him but Hangman runs him over! Things speed up, Hangman fakes Nemeth out and BOOTS him down! Hangman CHOPS Nemeth to the corner, CHOPS him again, then chops but Nemeth dodges to CHOP and CHOP in return! Nemeth swaggers about but Hangman DECKS him!

Hangman stalks Nemeth to a corner, stomps a mudhole into him then walks it dry as the ref counts. Hangman drags Nemeth up to throw him to the apron, and then TRIANGLE LARIATS him to the floor! Nemeth gets up but Hangman PLANCHAS! Direct hit and fans fire up! Hangman drags Nemeth up, puts him back in, then fires the fans up as he runs in corner to corner. Nemeth dodges to dropkick Hangman down! Cover, ONE! Nemeth wrenches and WRINGS the arm out, and now Big Money Matt Hardy is ringside? Is he scouting? Nemeth hammerlocks an arm, headstands to put pressure on the hold, then grabs at hair. The ref reprimands and Nemeth lets go.

Hangman gets up to CHOP and forearm but Nemeth knees low! Nemeth whips but Hangman holds ropes. Nemeth kicks, whips but Hangman reverses, only for Nemeth to turn it around into a Rude Awakening! Cover, TWO! Hangman forearms but Nemeth hits back. Nemeth whips corner to corner but Hangman comes back to CLOBBER him! Hangman whips, Nemeth dodges but Hangman hits a SPINEBUSTER! Hardy seems to be cheering Hangman on as Nemeth gets to a corner. Hangman runs corner to corner to clothesline! Hangman rolls Nemeth, runs, SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, TWO!

Hardy cheers Hangman with the fans as he brings Nemeth up to fireman’s carry. Nemeth fights out, Hangman CHOPS and whips but Nemeth reverses to SATELLITE DDT! Cover, TWO!! Hangman gets to a corner, Nemeth runs in but Hangman elbows him back! Nemeth runs into a boot, but he ducks a lariat to GERMAN SUPLEX! Hangman lands on his feet, ROLLING ELBOW! Hangman whips Nemeth to LARIAT! Then Hangman goes to the apron, takes aim, and slingshots, BUCK SHOT!! Cover, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

Hardy applauds then goes up to the ramp. Hangman sees Hardy turn to leave but invites him into the ring. Tony Schiavone hurries over to see what this is about. Hardy didn’t want to create a scene, but the reason he came out was to be in Hangman’s corner and let him know he supports Hangman. Hardy has been a bit concerned, Hangman seems lost and conflicted. That’s understandable. Hardy was part of Stadium Stampede, he knows that Hangman got burned by The Elite and he didn’t deserve it. The Dark Order wants Hangman to join and that’s just awkward.

Hardy doesn’t want anything from Hangman, just to let him know that Hangman is a good person who deserves to be happy. Hardy needed to say that and Hangman needed to hear it. Hangman is dressing alone in the hallway near catering. Hardy has a huge dressing room with plenty of space. Hangman is more than welcome to join him there, no strings attached. Hardy lets Hangman think that over, what will Hangman’s answer be?

Jungle Boy w/ Jurassic Express VS Dax Harwood w/ Cash Wheeler & Tully Blanchard!

Though Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus and the rest of FTR are all ringside, things will be a little different than usual. To make sure Cash and Tully don’t interfere, they will be handcuffed not just to each other, but to Luchasaurus! Will the wrestling dinosaur be able to keep things fair and square?

First, the ref and security help cuff Cash and Tully to Luchasaurus per the agreement. Then they all take a seat, though Luchasaurus has to make Cash sit. The bell rings and JB stares down with Dax. Dax brings JB up, JB slips out to waistlock but Dax switches, GERMAN! JB lands on his feet, SUPERKICK!

JB wrenches, ducks Dax’s lariat but not the SECOND LARIAT! FTR and Luchasaurus are out of their seats and fans cheer, “This is Awesome!” Dax drags JB up, reels him back in and underhooks, but JB RANAS! Cover, TWO!! Dax reels JB back in, another lift, rebound POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!?! Everyone goes nuts over that! Dax drags JB up to a full nelson but JB drops to resist! Dax keeps trying but JB breaks free! Team Taz responds!

“So Sting, Darby, being that we’re on a first name basis and all, Ricky and Brian are ready to destroy you come Revolution.” But Will Hobbs and Hook notice something going on, and say hey to the merchandise guys. Wait, they have the Darby gear and Sting gear, but where are the Team Taz merchandise? They weren’t given any of that. Oh is that so? Hook and Hobbs start throwing hands! And then they start throwing the staff around! Cage and Starks get in on that too, and they tear down the Sting and Darby merch to tear it up!

“You want to disrespect us?! We ain’t done!” Cage TOSSES one of the guys against the truck! And Starks SLAMS another through the table! “First name basis, huh, brother? Ricky Starks and Brian Cage are gonna BEAT YOUR ASS in that Street Fight!”

MJF finds Sammy Guevara backstage.

He just wants a moment, and says he did NOT tell Wardlow to get involved in last week’s Triple Threat Tag. Wardlow is literally the worst employee MJF has ever had, he docked Wardlow’s pay. No money for War Dog, and MJF promises that it’ll never happen again. Sammy asks if MJF is done. Does MJF think Sammy is stupid? Sammy sees what’s going on, even though MJF has everyone else fooled. Congratulations, though, on being a great manipulator. One of the best, really. Round of applause! Hats off to MJF. But Sammy sees what MJF is up to. Is that so? Yes, it is.

MJF asks Sammy if he really wants to play it this way. Sammy isn’t playing. The two stare down, but MJF backs away. Will the differences between these two be what tears The Inner Circle apart?

AEW sets the field for the Beach Break Tag Team Battle Royal!

Top Flight, Private Party, Jurassic Express, FTR, The Acclaimed, The Dark Order’s Evil Uno & Stu Grayson, and ALL THREE duos within The Inner Circle, are in the match for a shot at the titles at Revolution! But surprisingly, so are The Young Bucks! That means if Matt & Nick Jackson win, they choose who they face at the PPV! Will the Bucks take their fate into their own hands?

AEW also sets some of the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament First Round matches!

NWA Women’s World Champion, Serena Deeb, takes on the returning and inaugural AEW Women’s Champion, Riho! What a powerful first match in a surely star-studded bracket! Who else from both the United States and Japan will be competing for a shot at Hikaru Shida?

Backstage interview with “The Elite!”

Dasha knows it has been five YEARS since these four have been in a ring together, how are they feeling? Karl Anderson says for the first time in those five years, it is a “full blown Bullet Club Party!” Tonight, they take out the Dark Order and what else? #BigLG says if we’re gonna Biz Cliz, then they gotta Biz Cliz softly! Gyrate! Then next week at Beach Break, they BEAT UP REY FENIX! BEAT UP PAC! And their favorite thing ever, BEAT UP JON MOXLEY! So pumped up! Are the Bucks down? Oh yeah, just as pumped, just as jazzed, but uh… Just as long as “that mark stooge, Creepy Uncle Don” doesn’t get involved.

Whoa, c’mon, now, Young Bizzles, you gotta understand. Relax about Donaconda. Last week, they and Kenny took out Pentagon for them! That was all Don’s idea. Well no one asked you guys to do that! But now Kenny Omega himself walks in, and he high fives the Good Brothers. Is he interrupting something? Sorta. Well maybe they need to talk about something later. Callis comes by with a BIG bandage on his face! What is that? Hey, we all know the Bucks assaulted him- No they did not! Take that off! Omega gets the Bucks to leave Callis alone and the music hits, it’s time for the main event!

8 Man Tag: The Young Bucks & The Good Brothers VS The Dark Order!

The AEW World and Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions are joining forces, but it’s not exactly a happy reunion of The Bullet Club. A lot of the tension and drama comes from the fact Don Callis is in Kenny Omega’s ear and trying to direct his life. Will Matt & Nick be able to work with Gallows & Anderson against Uno, Stu, Reynolds & Silver?

The teams sort out, and Uno starts against Machine Gun. They tie up, go around, Anderson wrenches to a wristlock but Uno slips through to headlock. Anderson powers out, but Uno runs him over! Uno brushes off, things speed up and Anderson leaps into an atomic drop! Roll up, TWO!! Anderson gets away but Uno stomps a hand! Uno bends fingers, wrenches the wrist then tags in Silver! Anderson gets away but Number 4 calls out the big man! Johnny Hungy for some Doc Gallows and Gallows tags in! Gallows laughs at Silver, and calls for a test of strength just out of reach. Silver gets face to… well, chest, with Gallows, but Gallows kneels to be on Silver’s level! Sliver fires off forearms!

Silver fires up, runs but Anderson gets a cheap shot in! And then blames it on Nick! Silver DECKS Nick, Gallows ROCKS Silver! Gallows tags in Matt, they mug Silver, then Matt throws haymakers. Matt rakes Silver’s back, whips him to ropes but Silver holds ropes! Reynolds tags in, they bait Matt in to shoulder and slingshot sunset flip! Matt slips out, Reynolds runs and flying elbows! And then dropkicks! Reynolds kicks up and fans fire up as he goes after Matt with forearms! Reynolds whips, Nick tags in and Matt slides under to whip back, Double hip toss and handspring dropkicks from Bucks to Reynolds! Then double dropkicks for Uno!

Nick SHINING WIZARDS Reynolds, BULLDOG DROPKICK COMBO! Nick drags Reynolds up, whips him to a corner, then tags in Anderson. Anderson tags in Gallows, the Club blasts the Dark Order, then Nick whips Matt to forearm Reynolds! Nick adds a clothesline, Anderson adds the rocket kick, then Gallows corner splashes! Back suplex to the ALLEY OOP and the neckbreaker! It’s just like old times as they all Too Sweet! Gallows drags Reynolds to the corner, tags Matt in and Matt brings Reynolds up. Reynolds fires off hands in return, runs, but Anderson trips him up! Matt runs but Uno trips him up! It’s all fair isn’t it?

Reynolds scrambles, Nick gets his legs but Reynolds kicks him away! Tag to Stu and he springboard crossbodies! Stu dropkicks Gallows’ legs out, dodges Matt and dropkicks again! Nick gets in, misses, and Stu counters superkick to a leg hook and HALF ‘N’ HALF! Anderson gets in to hit Stu and throws him out but Stu ROCKS him back! Stu springboards to dropkick Gallows! Anderson runs into an URENAGE! Stu keeps moving as he goes to a corner and climbs up! FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Anderson survives but Stu drags Anderson up to the corner. Tag to Uno as AEW goes picture in picture.

Uno and Stu get Anderson up but Gallows distracts! The ref also says he didn’t see Uno tag in so he’s not legal! Anderson shoves Stu into Gallows’ fireman’s carry and FLAPJACK! Gallows exits as Anderson covers, TWO! Anderson keeps Stu down, tags in Nick and Nick stomps Stu. Nick drags Stu up, snapmares him then tags in Mat. Fist drop and senton combo! Matt brings Stu up, snap suplexes him, then covers, TWO! Matt keeps on Stu with a chinlock and grinds him down. Stu endures, fights up and throws body shots, but Matt bumps him off buckles! Tag to Gallows and Gallows throws heavy hands from all sides!

Tag to Nick, Gallows and Nick mug Stu, and Nick DECKS Stu with a right! Nick clamps on with a facelock and he grinds Stu down. Stu endures, fights back up, throws body shots, but Nick clubs him! Nick whips, but Stu catches Nick to a fireman’s carry, and SWINGING FACEBUSTER! The Bullet Club gets in to BLAST the Dark Order corner again, stranding Stu! Matt and the Good Brothers mug Uno and the Beaver Boys, then they all set up by the apron! But Uno, Reynolds and Silver slip out of the triple apron bombs to RAM all three men into railing!

AEW returns to single picture as Nick snapmares Stu and runs, only for Stu to duck the Penalty Kick! Kip up and PELE! Stu crawls, hot tag to Silver! Silver rallies on Nick with big clotheslines! Silver whips, back drops Nick and fires up! Nick hobbles around, Silver whips him again but Nick holds ropes. Silver runs in, Nick puts him on the apron but Silver sees him go up the corner and GAMANGIRIS him down! Silver then CANNONBALLS into Anderson, BLASTS Gallows and BOOTS Matt!! Silver gets in but Nick catches him for a backslide. Silver slips out to fire off kicks and then a BRAIN BUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Nick survives but fans say “This is Awesome!”

Tag to Uno, he brings Nick up to a fireman’s carry but Nick slips out! Uno blocks the kick, hands it to the ref and hits a neckbreaker! Uno hurries up top now, and SWANTON FLOPS! Tag to Matt, he shoulders into Uno then slides under. Matt gets around Stu, and gets both the OG for a NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Beaver Boys attack, whip but Matt dodges to DOUBLE LARIAT! Matt is fired up now and he runs to clothesline Silver! Then one for Reynolds! One for Silver but he dodges to KICK! ROLLING ELBOW, ENZIGURI, STUNNER, GERMAN! The Beaver Blitz! Uno and Stu hit FATALITY!! Cover, but Anderson breaks it!!

Good Brothers brawl with Beaver Boys and throw them out, then Uno tags Stu! Nick SUPERKICKS Uno then SUPERKICKS Stu! Nick builds speed as the Dark Order regroups, for the ESCALARA! Nick brings Stu up, Anderson has Reynolds, DOUBLE APRON BOMB! No wait, TRIPLE because Gallows does the same to Silver! They put Stu in, Bucks and Good Brothers line up the shot, “TOO SWEET!” QUADRUPLE SUPERKICK!! Cover, but Uno breaks it!! Uno saves the match but Gallows ROCKS him! MAGIC KILLER! The Bucks have Stu, gut wrench and springboard, MELZTER DRIVER!! Cover, the Elite wins!

Winners: The Young Bucks & The Good Brothers, by pinfall

Whether you like it or not, the Bullet Club boys took down The Dark Order as a unified unit! And Matt gets the mic to say that next week at Beach Break, whoever wins the Tag Team Battle Royal gets a shot at the AEW World Tag titles at Revolution! But if you haven’t heard, the Bucks are in that match, too! That means if they win, they handpick whoever they want to face! And think about it. It could be anyone. They look at the Good Brothers, and the Good Brothers Too Sweet that idea! But then REY FENIX gets in and springboards to missile dropkick the Bucks!

The Good Brothers attack Fenix and drag him up, but Fenix fights out of Magic Killer! And Moxley is here to CLOBBER Gallows! Fenix FLIES to take Anderson out! And some railing, too! But Omega rushes in to go after Moxley, only to get a kick and the PARADIGM SHIFT!! The Elite were standing tall, but the Maniac and the Firebird fired the first shots! Will they and Pac avenge Penta El Zero M on the road to Revolution?

My Thoughts:

A great episode that was both go-home to Beach Break but also a step towards Revolution in March. Archer VS Kingston was good but one-sided until The Fam came out with Jake the Snake as their hostage. Kingston wins to extend the feud, I have a feeling the blow-off, in whatever form it takes, will be for Revolution. While Death Triangle is focused on The Elite, I think they can easily circle back to The Fam for the PPV and have something really wild. Sting and Darby had a decent promo, Team Taz had a decent promo in response, but the build just hasn’t felt that exciting for what it’s setting up. I hope the Street Fight is really, really good to make up for some of that.

Y2MJF VS Varsity Blondes was a lot of fun, and there was a lot of energy with The Inner Circle all ringside to have their parts to play. Naturally Y2MJF wins, they can’t lose their first time in a 2v2. Though it is an interesting move for AEW to put all the combinations, from Y2MJF to Sammy-Hager to Santana-Ortiz in the battle royal. I suppose AEW as a company doesn’t have to follow the Inner Circle’s self-imposed edict, but that perhaps means the Inner Circle all work together until the end, where in theory, MJF and Jericho would want the other two teams to bow out and eliminate themselves. The tension between MJF and Sammy will surely keep that from happening, so maybe we get the Inner Circle break-up already.

It makes a lot of sense for Red Velvet to take Brandi’s place in what was obviously going to be the mixed tag of the Nightmare Family VS Shaq & Jade. Velvet was tied into the story with Brandi, Jade and the Vicious Vixens, so this is a very good adjustment. Hangman VS Nemeth was good but a bit of a shame that it was really just the vehicle towards a story of Hardy and Hangman. I wonder if Private Party will have a part to play in this, such as warning Hangman about the ridiculous manager contracts Hardy put on them. And I would think The Dark Order also plays a part in that story since they still want Hangman for them, and maybe by Revolution, we learn who Hangman joins.

Jungle Boy VS Dax Harwood was an incredible match! Might have even been match of the night because of how close it was. There was great character work and story with Luchasaurus going back and forth with Cash and Tully, and great everything with JB and Dax in the ring. JB winning is big, but then FTR takes Luchasaurus’ horns to stand tall in their own way. With the battle royal determining Revolution challengers, there’s still a lot of story for Jurassic Express and FTR to have, and maybe the blow-off winners get their shot at say Fyter Fest or maybe Double or Nothing.

Britt VS Shanna was a good match, but of course Britt as a Heel needs Rebel to help her. That does help keep Shanna strong in a way, but Britt goes in with the momentum against Rosa. Rebel is probably how Britt wins against Rosa, too, and that could get Britt a spot in the Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament. Serena Deeb VS Riho being announced as a first round match up is great, but that honestly feels like it should’ve been a later round match. At the same time, Serena has her own title to fall back on, so it’s probably just the best possible way to get eyes on this tournament and to get Riho back into things in AEW.

We got a lot of great stuff out of the story with Omega and The Elite. Moxley had a good promo, Pac had a really good promo, and the promo before the main event was great. Callis is definitely faking or at least exaggerating what happened with him and the Bucks just to get Omega to turn against them. And so far, Bucks and Good Brothers being on good terms is the right move to me. The issue is with Callis, not them, but perhaps when push comes to shove, Gallows & Anderson take Callis’ side.

At the same time, I like that the Bucks already teased a match with Good Brothers for tag titles, that’s a good tease for Revolution. Moxley and Fenix going after The Elite to stand tall probably means Omega and Good Brothers stand tall at Beach Break to further the Bullet Club Civil War between AEW and Impact, but I wonder if any other former Club members get involved. Will Hangman have a change of heart and rejoin The Elite? Will Cody at least be asked? Will someone from Bullet Club NJPW show up in AEW to also establish that crossover? The various possibilities are all really fun so hopefully we get that going into the Summer.

My Score: 9.3/10

Swerve Strickland is here!

The fans fire up as the AEW World Champion and Prince Nana make their way down to the ring. Nana gets a mic for Swerve, and Swerve asks Des Moines, Iowa if they’re ready for Dynamite tonight. Better yet, are they ready for Forbidden Door in a couple weeks? The fans cheer and Swerve says they should be. Because in one corner, it is The Billy Goat, the International Champion, Will Ospreay! And in the other, THE AEW World Champion, The Mogul, the history maker, Whose House? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” And it is for Swerve’s AEW World Championship. Two absolute bona fide stars, the best of this generation, collide for the gold. Two absolute killers-

Well. More like  one killer, because Swerve told Ospreay about 10 years ago that once Ospreay develops that killer instinct, there’s nobody in this industry that can stop him. That has been true. Let’s go back to Forbidden Door last year. Ospreay VS Omega, and Swerve saw a killer, an assassin, get the job done. Fast forward to Revolution 2024, Ospreay VS Takeshita, and again, the Assassin got the job done. Then Dynasty in April, Ospreay VS Danielson, The Assassin got the job done. Double or Nothing? Hmm, not quite. Didn’t really see The Assassin. Because when it comes to Swerve, he is not a target you want to hesitate on.

Swerve got the nickname “Killshot” for a reason. If you don’t pull the trigger, she sure as hell will. But that doesn’t mean Swerve doesn’t respect Ospreay. No, no, Ospreay is International Champion, defending night in, night out. Hell, he’s defending it tonight, against Rey Fenix! That’s a fighting champion, unlike some EVPs that have yet to defend those belts ever since winning them. But then someone comes out here to stop Swerve. It’s Kazuchika Okada! The Rainmaker tells Swerve to stop as he, said EVPs, and The Scapegoat all walk out on stage. And Okada mockingly asks, “Whose house?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!”

Okada says no, it’s his house, B*TCH! Nicholas tells Okada to relax, and he apologizes to Swerve. Okada gets very defensive of his friends. But The Elite is here to address some business that Swerve is part of, but that’s in a minute. Nick wants to talk about how DOMINANT The Elite has been! They took out Kenny Omega! They broke Eddie Kingston’s leg! And at Anarchy in the Arena, they DESTROYED “Team AEW!” Half this roster is gone because of THEM! And it feels pretty damn good. All the trolls and the bots online doubt them. Even the wrestlers in the back don’t think they’re violent enough!

WELL GUESS WHAT! The EVPs challenge AEW’s best in the most violent match in AEW: BLOOD & GUTS!! And Matthew says this is where Swerve comes into the picture. The Elite step to the ring, and they tell him that they don’t exactly love what he’s said about them, and admittedly, they didn’t get off on the right foot. But The Elite digs Swerve, they dig his style, he is cool. Swerve is young and a champion, just like all of them. So The Elite is here to ask him a question: Does he wanna stand side-by-side with winners? Side-by-side with champions? Matt wants to ask if Swerve wants to #ChangeTheWorld.

Swerve, traditionally, Blood & Guts is 5v5, and there’s only four of The Elite. So will he be their fifth man? The fans say no but Matt says to make it official, he’s always wanted to see Swerve in their sneakers. Matt offers his own pair of Young Bucks Reeboks to Swerve. Swerve says first off, he doesn’t wear size nines. Second, pear necklaces? Matt, no one wears those anymore. Third of all, he’s a businessman, he does his own stuff. Fourth of all, he’s also a philanthropist, so Nana, if you would. Nana TOSSES the Reeboks to the crowd! Free size nines for someone! The fans cheer the charity but Matt has The Elite calm down.

But see? What’s that buzzing around? Oh, it’s an injury bug. And it just landed on the champ! The Elite and Swerve all get ready to fight, but here comes THE ACCLAIMED! Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Billy Gunn look just as ready to fight! The Elite bails out, and then Christopher Daniels hurries out here, too! The Fallen Angel turned Interim EVP says normally, he’d let a brawl like this go on all night long, but tonight is a full show of wrestling! Tonight, there’s TWO big title matches, and our opening contest is a qualifier for the TNT Championship Ladder Match! That means everyone out of that ring and to the back right this minute!

Well, except for Jack Perry. Because he’s having his match right now, against this man! DUSTIN RHODES! The fans cheer as The Scapegoat no longer has all the time in the world to prepare! Will it only be natural that Dustin Rhodes makes Jack Perry choke on that silver spoon of his?

AEW TNT Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Dustin Rhodes VS Jack Perry!

The bell rings and Dustin fires hands on Jack! Dustin CHOPS Jack in a corner, stalks him to another, but Jack CLAWS Dustin’s eyes! The ref reprimands but Jack CLUBS Dustin. Jack CHOPS, fires forearms, then whips. Dustin CLOBBERS Jack on the return! Jack flounders, Dustin is right on him, and CHOKES Jack with his T-shirt! Dustin drags Jack up by his hair, but Jack grabs a buckle pad! The ref counts, Dustin CLUBS Jack, but the buckle pad comes free! Jack ELBOWS Dustin, TOSSES him out of the ring, then AX HANDLES from the apron! Dustin hits back with body shots, then scoops, but Jack slips free to POST Dustin!

Jack brings Dustin around, RAMS him into steel steps, then starts pulling up the floor mat! The fans boo and the ref reprimands but Jack scowls as he goes back for Dustin. Jack drags Dustin up, CLUBS him, reels him in, but Dustin fights the lift! Dustin back drops Jack onto the concrete! We see Dustin is still busted open from hitting that post, and the ref checks him while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Dustin seems alright to continue, and he storms over to Jack. Dustin puts Jack in the ring, storms in, but Jack CLUBS him down! Jack rains down forearms, lets off so the ref can check Dustin, and Dustin crawls to ropes. Jack storms up on Dustin to CHOKE him on the ropes! The ref counts, Jack lets off at 4, but then he CHOKES Dustin again! The ref counts again, Jack steps away, and Dustin sputters, that crimson mask starting to match his face paint. Jack goes out of the ring, and is he putting something in his boot or taking something out? Either way, Jack then brings a chair over to the ring!

Dynamite returns to single picture, the ref sees that chair and takes it right away from Jack, but Jack CLUBS Dustin! Jack CHOKES Dustin, and he is fiddling inside his boot again! The ref counts, Jack lets off, and then mocks Kenny Omega with the finger gun! BANG and Jack runs, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up as Dustin finally gets back at Jack! The fans rally up, Dustin slowly sits up, and Jack follows. Jack stands but into an UPPERCUT! Jack ROCKS Dustin, but Dustin eggs him on! The fans fire up and Jack fires forearm after forearm! Dustin kick slow, RHODES UPPERCUTS, then runs to BOOT!

Dustin keeps going, and he hits a BULLDOG! Jack flounders around, Dustin storms after him in a corner. Dustin climbs up and he rains down fists! The fans count along and Dustin goes all the way to TEN! Dustin lets off, flips Jack off, then puts the legs in the ropes! Jack’s wide open and the ref reprimands. Dustin says fine, he’ll get the chair! The ref says no, no chair! The ref takes the chair away, and Dustin hits SHATTERED DREAMS! The fans cheer, and Dustin gets Jack in the dragon sleeper. Jack snapmares free, but Dustin blocks the superkick! Dustin spins Jack to JAB! JAB! JAB! And then flip, flop, fly and dirty bird! BIONIC ELBOW!

The fans fire up as Dustin gets Jack up and in, for the CROSS RHODES! Cover, TWO!!! Jack survives and Dustin is beside himself! Dustin pounds the mat, the fans rally up, and Dustin rises up! Dustin gets fired up, and he brings Jack up and in. Dustin suplexes, but Jack wrenches out to KNEE low! Jack RAMS Dustin into the bare buckle! Dustin goes down, Jack pushes him out and heads for the bare concrete! DDT on the cement!! Jack leaves Dustin behind, letting the count handle this. The fans boo but the count climbs while Dustin is down. Dustin reaches out at 4 of 10, sits up slowly at 5, and then flounders at 7.

The fans rally as hard as they can, and Dustin stands at 9! Dustin slides in at 9.9 and Jack is stunned! But then Jack laughs at Dustin still trying to get up. The fans rally for Dustin as he drags himself up with the ropes. Dustin pushes the ref aside to run up on Jack, but Jack LOW BLOWS Dustin!! Payback behind the ref’s back, and Jack paints himself with Dustin’s blood. Jack then lines up the shot, “We all have to sacrifice, Dustin.” Dustin flips Jack off! Jack KNEES Dustin down!! Cover, Jack wins!

Winner: Jack Perry, by pinfall (advances to Forbidden Door)

The Scapegoat just made Dustin the sacrifice needed for him to qualify. Jack gives a smile as he looks at the TNT Championship, will he be the final piece to a new Golden Elite?

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe & Kyle O’Reilly.

Renee Paquette is with this eclectic trio as they are teaming together tonight to face some common enemies. However, it was only just last Saturday on Collision that Cassidy and Kyle were opponents. How are they gonna make this work tonight? Kyle says hold on, they’re all pros. They can be against each other on Saturday and tag on Wednesday just fine, and now they’ve got Mark Briscoe with them! Renee says okay, then let’s address the elephant in the room. Kris Statlander put her hands on Orange, Trent’s go this own issues with him, the entire Don Callis Family is now coming for him, what is he going to do about this situation?

Cassidy says it looks like there are a few people who have his back. But there is one person he definitely knows does, and in walks Willow Nightingale. Mark asks if he could say something real quick. Now, Renee, you’re bringing up last week, but that’s things in the past. You don’t get where you’re going by looking in the rearview mirror. Today is today, and the word of the day is: conglomeration! This is a conglomeration of dangerous individuals right here in these three men, who are in dire straits! Roddy Strong, Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, they’re coming for you boys!

Mark has Kyle O’Reilly right here! What he gonna do? He’ll snatch your leg off and kick you in the face! YES! That’s the answer! He’ll do it all! And then we have the mighty man with a plan, with his hands in his pockets! But watch your jaw cuz he gonna rock it! OC, Orange Cassidy! They comin’ for you! You got three bad boys, but these are the three most dangerous, most unpredictable men in pro-wrestling right here! Tonight, you boys are in trouble! There’s only one thing you can do, and that’s get your asses whooped! It’s going down in Des Moines, Iowa! Let’s get it! RARARARAR! Mark is fired up, it has Kyle motivated, and Willow sure loves it!

Renee says wow. Cassidy asks how Renee’s doing. Great now. How’s Cassidy? He’s okay. One wild and wooly trios match is on its way, will The Chicken, Violent Artist & Freshly Squeezed make sure Roderick Strong & The Don Callis Family feel every bit of that fire?

Rush VS Deonn Rusman!

El Toro Blanco told off Maxwell Jacob Friedman last week in regards to the hypocrisy and bias from the fans. Will Rush show everyone, but especially MJF, that Rush runs things now?

The bell rings, Rush and Rusman circle, and then Rush CLOBBERS Rusman! Rusman flops out of the ring, Rush goes out and CHIPOS him! Rush whips Rusman hard into railing, then hard into more railing! Rush THROWS Rusman into railing, CLUBS away on him with haymakers, and the ref reprimands. Rush lets off, soaks up the heat and tells MJF that this is coming for him! Rush CHOPS Rusman, puts him in the ring, and then stalks Rusman to a corner. Rush CHOPS, CHOPS, then sits him down to stomp away! The ref counts, but Rush goes corner to corner! BULL’S HORNS!! Cover, Rush wins!

Winner: Rush, by pinfall

Rush just destroyed Des Moines’ own, but it seems he’s not done. He goes up to Justin Roberts, snatches the mic, and tells Iowa to shut up! WEAK!” Rush drags Deonn back into the corner, stomps away on him, and then goes corner to corner, but here comes MJF! The fans fire up as The People’s Scumbag still stands up to bullies! Well BREAKING NEWS from Tony Khan! MJF and Rush will have it out next week to OPEN Dynamite, in a COMMERCIAL FREE match! What won’t these two do to take the other out?

Six Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly & Mark Briscoe VS Roderick Strong, Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita!

We heard from Freshly Squeezed, Violent Artist & Sussex County Chicken earlier, now it’s time to see them in action! Will they tear down The Savior of the Backbreaker, the Aussie Arrow & The Alpha? Or will the combined forces of The Undisputed Kingdom & Don Callis Family be too much for even this all-star conglomeration?

The teams sort out and Callis joins commentary while Cassidy starts against Roddy. This is a rivalry revisited, but then Cassidy looks over to Kyle O’Reilly. Kyle is staring daggers at Roddy, so Cassidy tags him in! But then Roddy tags out to Kyle Fletcher! Fletcher’s a bit annoyed but now we get Kyle and Kyle circling. O’Reilly gives a kick, Fletcher gives a forearm, and they go back and forth! Fletcher kicks low, headlocks, but O’Reilly powers out. Fletcher runs O’Reilly over then keeps moving, but O’Reilly kitchen sink knees! O’Reilly gets Fletcher’s arm, wrenches, and tags in Mark! Mark CLUBS Fletcher’s arm, wrenches, and puts him in a corner.

The fans cheer as Mark CHOPS, whips, but Fletcher reverses. Mark goes up and around to DECK Fletcher! Fletcher falls back, and Konosuke tags in. Mark eggs Konosuke on, so Konosuke fires a forearm! Mark give sit back, they go back and forth, until Konosuke CLAWS Mark’s eyes! Konosuke whips, Mark gets under the boot to BODY SHOT! Mark bumps Konosuke off buckles, CHOPS him, then tags Cassidy! Cassidy goes up to CROSSBODY, but Konosuke catche shim! Konosuke SMACKS Mark with Cassidy, BOOTS O’Reilly, then hits a LANDSLIDE! Konosuke runs to SLIDING KNEE! Konosuke stomps away on Cassidy, then rains down fists!

Callis admits on commentary that he told Konosuke to just hurt Cassidy for being a turncoat. Fletcher tags in, the Family double whips Cassidy, but Cassidy ducks the lariats to DOUBLE RANA! The fans fire up as Konosuke tumbles out of the ring! O’Reilly FLYING KNEES Konosuke down! But then Roddy WRECKS O’Reilly with a dropkick! Mark runs up to dodge Fletcher, then DIVE onto Roddy! Cassidy is stunned seeing that, but then Fletcher DIVES onto Mark! Cassidy sees Kyle and Kyle brawl, then Konosuke and Mark join in! Roddy does, too, then Cassidy SPRINGBOARD CANNONBALLS! Direct hit and the fans are thunderous!

Cassidy then stares down Trent. Trent and Cassidy argue, but Konosuke DECKS Cassidy! Trent says that’s what happens! The Don Callis Family high-fives and stands tall with The Kingdom while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Konosuke stands on Cassidy, Fletcher stomps him, and then they put Cassidy in the ring. Fletcher hurries in to whip Cassidy to ropes. Fletcher ELBOWS Cassidy down, covers, TWO! Fletcher drags Cassidy over, bumps him off buckles, and Roddy tags in. Roddy CHOPS Cassidy, brings Cassidy around to scoop and BACKBREAKER, then he tags Takeshita. Konosuke stays between Cassidy and his team while taunting him. Cassidy slowly rises, and he fires a chop. There isn’t much to it, but Cassidy throws more and more and starts getting some force behind the shots! So Konosuke DECKS him! Konosuke stalks Cassidy as he flounders, then tags in Fletcher.

Fletcher & Konosuke double whip Cassidy to run him over! Then they BLAST O’Reilly & Briscoe! Fletcher soaks up the heat, then drags Cassidy up by his arm. Fletcher scoops to SLAM Cassidy, then soaks up the heat. Tag to Takeshita and he stomps Cassidy. Konosuke snapmares Cassidy, goes up a corner, and soaks up heat before the SUPER SENTON! Konosuke then deadlifts Cassidy in a waistlock! Konosuke goes for the full nelson, but Cassidy reaches for his pockets! Konosuke shoves Cassidy to ropes, Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl, but Konosuke blocks the DDT! Konosuke then HOTSHOTS Cassidy off ropes!

Konosuke runs to LARIAT Cassidy down! Cover, TWO! Konosuke CLUBS away on Cassidy, tags Roddy in, and Roddy goes for legs! Cassidy fights the turn, reaches for his corner, but Roddy YANKS Cassidy back! Dynamite returns to single picture as Roddy BLASTS Briscoe! O’Reilly avoids the cheap shot and he glares at Roddy. Cassidy rolls Roddy up! TWO, and hot tag to O’Reilly! O’Reilly rallies on Roddy with kicks and forearms and knees! O’Reilly whips, Roddy stops himself and tags in Fletcher! The conglomerate could not keep up with the chaos, and now the ROH Television Champion has pinned the ROH World Champion! Will the Protostar look to take Briscoe’s belt for his own? And wait, Trent is going after Cassidy on the outside! Konosuke stomps away on Briscoe, and Fletcher joins in! Meanwhile, The Kingdom keeps Kyle O’Reilly isolated, saying this isn’t his fight! The fans boo as Trent sends Cassidy into steel steps! But here comes The Babe with The Power! BUT WAIT! Kris is attacking her in the tunnel!! Kris throws Willow down, stomps her, and Stokely has the mic to say wake up, Willow.

Well, he tried. But hey, when she watches this back, there’s a message for her. The next time Willow gets in the business of Kris & Stoke, they won’t be dragging her on stage. They’ll be dragging her to the ER! The fans boo but Big Stoke takes a pic of this for posterity. Is there any hope for Cassidy and Willow with enemies all around them?

Backstage interview with Rey Fenix.

Renee Paquette is now with The Immortal Firebird ahead of his main event match, where he has the opportunity to become a two-time International Champion. His first run was cut short due to injury, but he has been an AEW World Tag Team and AEW World Trios Champion, as well as champion all around the world. Earlier, he told Renee that of course he knows just how good Ospreay is, but Fenix is one of one. Then will that one of one become the two-time two-time International Champion? Or will the Firebird be taken down by an Ospreay?

AEW hears from Shingo Takagi!

“My time is coming! TOKI GA KITA! I’m Shingo Takagi, The Rampaging Dragon, The NEVER Openweight Champion. The AEW Owen Hart Tournament? I’m ready. Now, The Japanese Dragon is in America. That’s all I wanted to say.” Is the Owen Hart Cup about to go through a Forbidden Door of its own?

Christopher Daniels speaks.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m back. And I’ve got some news regarding The Elite. Now Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, Kazuchika Okada, next week, Tony Khan has decided that you will wrestle in Eliminator matches. Matches where if your opponents win, they will earn title shots for the World Tag Team Championships and Continental Championship respectively. Now Okada, you’re used to having all seconds barred from ringside, but Matthew, Nicholas… Tony Khan has decided that your match next week will have all seconds barred from ringside! NO outside interference! And we’ll get a chance to see how elite you really are.”

The Fallen Angel lays down the law on behalf of TK, but then who will get themselves some golden opportunities at The Elite’s treasure?

Samoa Joe & Hook w/ Katsuyori Shibata VS The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling!

The Samoa Submission Specialist told the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil that they would handle Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari on their terms, and they did just that last Saturday night! Now they take that fight from locker room to ring, will Joe & Hook humble the pompous Premier Athletes? Or will Nese & Daivari prove they’re not just big muscles and big bank accounts?

While Nese & Daivari are making their entrance, we cut to the “Shibata Cam” as Joe & Hook prepare on their side of gorilla. Joe has a theory why Taz loves orange so much. They’re from New York, Syracuse is known for orange, boom. Hook says nah, Taz hates Syracuse. Figures. Okay, quick stretch, and let’s go. Joe & Hook storm out the tunnel and CLOBBER The Premier Athletes from behind! The fans fire up and Sterling panics as Joe & Hook beat Nese & Daivari down! Hook keeps Daivari on the ramp while Joe sends Nese into the LED! Shibata’s cam catches Joe storming up on Sterling. Joe says WORLDSTAR~!

Joe drags Nese down the ramp, Sterling is furious, but Joe puts Nese in the ring. The fans are singing “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” and the bell rings. Nese stomps and kicks at Joe, then runs, but Joe ELBOWS him down! The fans fire up, Joe waits on Nese, and then JABS! JABS! BODY BLOW! JAB! Repeat! Joe fires off in the corner, RIDGE HANDS Nese down, then tags in Hook. Joe drags Nese up, he and Hook double whip, then Joe clotheslines Nese in the corner. Feed to Hook’s LARIAT, and the fans fire up! Hook drags Nese up, but Nese TACKLES Hook! Tag to Daivari, the Premier Athletes mug Hook!

The fans boo, the ref counts, and the Premier Athletes let off. Daivari tags Nese, and they stomp away on Hook! The ref counts, Sterling says they have ’til five! Nese lets off, tags Daivari back in, and they stomp away on Hook again. The fans boo, the ref reprimands, and Nese steps out. Daivari bumps Hook off buckles, pushes him out, then goes up the corner. Daivari CROSSBODY FLOPS as Hook learns from Joe’s style! Nese runs up, Hook gets around, T-BONE! The fans fire up and Hook runs, but Sterling trips him up! The fans boo but Daivari CLOBBERS Hook! Daivari & Nese stomp Hook, but Shibata runs up to DECK Sterling!

The fans fire up as The Wrestler doesn’t let the ambulance chaser turned manager get away with one! Nese swings on Joe but gets caught into a SLEEPER! Daivari drags Hook up, wrenches an arm, but Hook ducks the Lion’s Lariat to get the REDRUM!! Body scissors, and then Daivari TAPS! Joe & Hook win!

Winners: Samoa Joe & Hook, by submission

OH, Shibata’s had Sterling in a sleeper this whole time! No wonder Sterling wasn’t protesting! But while Nese & Daivari are Premier Athletes, we know Joe, Hook & Shibata are some dangerous men! Will this trio take over AEW by putting all their opponents to sleep?

AEW hears from Stephanie Vaquer.

La Primera says, “Mercedes, I will give you props. You are one of the best. And now, you are coming for the title that was ‘supposed to be yours?’ Hmm. Your arrogance is just plain offensive. I work hard every day, all over the world, instead of just sitting around and walking on red carpets. This belt is mine, and it’s not going anywhere. At Forbidden Door, Stephanie Vaquer is going to become the first-ever NJPW Strong AND TBS Double Champion. Because I am La Primera.” To be the best, you gotta beat the best, so will Vaquer prove she’s truly THE best when she dethrones The CEO?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Zeuxis!

Well speaking of The CEO, she’s now in action against Vaquer’s CMLL Women’s Tag Team Championship partner, the very title Vaquer wants being on the line! Will Mone prove she’s not just a fighting champion, but that she’s got what it takes to stay champion? Or will La Diosa Guerrera use her Puerto Rican Power to make her and Vaquer into a Two Woman Power Trip?

The introductions are made, the TBS title is raised, and we see who will walk through The Forbidden Door!

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Zeuxis puts Mone on ropes, then pulls hair! The ref counts, Zeuxis lets off, and Mone is annoyed already. Zeuxis eggs Mone on but the fans rally behind The CEO. Mone and Zeuxis tie up, Zeuxis waistlocks, spins Mone, then gets around again, to flying-mare! Zeuxis chinlocks and grinds Mone down, but Mone fights up fast. Zeuxis shifts to a headlock, Mone powers out, but Zeuxis runs her over! Things keep moving, Mone drops but Zeuxis rolls. Zeuxis sidesteps Mone, hurdles, then drops down but Mone rolls! Mone does her dance, the fans cheer, but Zeuxis kicks low!

Zeuxis mocks the dance, CLUBS Mone, then whips. Mone tilt-o-whirls, just manages the second time, and DEJA VU RANAS! Mone then waits on Zeuxis, then basement dropkicks! Cover, TWO! Zeuxis is tougher than that but Mone keeps cool. Mone CHOPS Zeuxis, knuckle locks, then goes up and up and FLYING ARM-DRAGS! The fans fire up with Mone, she runs up at Zeuxis, but Zeuxis rolls her up, with a bridge! TWO!! Mone escapes that, but Zeuxis ROCKS her, then ROUNDHOUSES her! Mone drops to her knees, Zeuxis BOOTS her, then runs. Mone runs and trips Zeuxis, then drags her out! Mone uses the desk to FLYING ARM-DRAG again!

The fans fire up with Mone, then storms up on Zeuxis. Mone puts Zeuxis in, drags her up, but Zeuxis fights the suplex! Zeuxis ROCKS Mone, SWEEPS the leg, then SHOTGUNS her off the apron! Mone tumbles, Zeuxis builds speed, and Zeuxis DIVES! Direct hit with the tope suicida, and then Zeuxis RIPS a fan’s sign for Mone! The fans boo but Zeuxis soaks it up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref checks Mone and she’s okay to continue, so Zeuxis drags her up. Zeuxis puts Mone in the ring, then CHOKES her on ropes! The ref counts, Zeuxis lets off, and she argues with the ref. Zeuxis then drags Mone up, whips her corner to corner, and runs in to UPPERCUT! Mone sits down, Zeuxis swaggers back to the far side, and then runs in to METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone’s tougher than that and Zeuxis grows frustrated. Zeuxis drags Mone back, hooks up the legs, and then pulls on the arms! Right up into the ROMERO SPECIAL! Mone endures, so Zeuxis drops her, but keeps the legs hooked. Mone turns things over and goes for Zeuxis’s arms!

Mone pulls, pulls and pulls into the ROMERO SPECIAL! Zeuxis endures, Mone drops her hard, and is finally free of the leg hook. Mone storms up, drags Zeuxis up, but Zeuxis ROCKS her! Zeuxis TOSSES Mone by her hair, then soaks up more heat. Zeuxis goes over to Mone, drags her around, and clamps on a CAMEL CLUTCH! Zeuxis makes Mone smile with fishhooks, but lets off as the ref reprimands. Zeuxis then ties up Mone’s legs and pulls her into the BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Dynamite returns to single picture as Mone endures being bent back! Mone manages to pop free and cover, TWO! Zeuxis and Mone both rise, and Mone blocks a kick!

Mone KNEES Zeuxis, runs, but into a fireman’s carry! POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Zeuxis is seething! Zeuxis vows to end this, and she drags Mone up. Zeuxis fireman’s carries, but Mone turns pop-up into RANA! Cover, TWO!! Zeuxis escapes, and she RAMS Mone into a corner! Zeuxis RAMS in again and again, then SLAPS Mone! The fans boo but Mone BOOTS Zeuxis back! Mone goes up, leaps, sunset flip, but Zeuxis rolls through! POINT-BLANK METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone survives again and Zeuxis scowls. Zeuxis wheelbarrows, but Mone makes it a BULLDOG! The fans fire up as both women are down!

Mone rises, Zeuxis is in a corner. Mone runs in to DOUBLE KENE! Zeuxis sits down, so Mone METEORAS! Snapmare and Mone goes up top! METEORA! Cover, TWO!! Zeuxis survives and Mone is shocked! Mone brings Zeuxis up to snap suplex, and that’s Una Amiga! Then another for Dos Amigas! Zeuxis blocks the third, wrenches and reels Mone in, underhooks for a TIGER LUNG BLOWER!! Cover, TWO?!?! Cover, Mone wins!

Winner: Mercedes Mone, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

The CEO got more than she bargained for out of Zeuxis, but nothing she couldn’t handle! Will Mone make sure that she not only holds onto this gold, but adds the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship to the collection?

AEW hears from Mina Shirakawa.

The Fighting Gravure Idol says, “AEW, you love me~!” Mariah May helps read the résumé: a FIVE-TIME Stardom Champion; singles, tags, trios, she’s done them all! Mariah always knew Mina was special, and that America would fall in love with her. Mina says she used to be a model, but wanted to put on a big show. Her entrance is colorful, exciting, energetic, and of course, sexy! Mina & Mariah founded Stardom’s Club Venus, won the tag titles together, and Mina has always been like a big sister. They love wrestling and being together.

Mariah assures us, when that switch flips, she goes from “kawaii Mina-chan” to one of the most dangerous women Mariah’s ever seen. And that’s why Mariah’s glad they’re friends. Mina says she’s come to America and AEW to take over! She wants all the matches, all the gold! You want Mina? She wants everything~!

Cut to Mariah by Toni Storm’s side.

The protege snuggles up with her mentor, The AEW Women’s World Champion, and we also have Luther and Renee Paquette. Renee says we just saw the video package from Mina, and while Mina is a very credible opponent, she is also very… close with Mariah. Toni says that was hardly a video worth watching. Mariah thanks “Miss Storm” for getting her into the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, she will not let Storm down. Storm knows. And secondly, Mariah is happy that Mina is coming back next week! Sigh. And? She wants to do a contract signing with Storm, face to face. Storm scowls but Mariah says she will host it to keep everyone on the same page.

Renee says before that, Storm does have a match on Rampage against Alex Windsor. Oh what a tangled web we weave when everyone wants a shot at the “wide load that holds the gold!” Nevertheless, Storm’s chin is lifted, her tits have persevered, and you ALWAYS watch for the shoe! Come, Mariah, time for a waxing. They head out, Luther shrugs and follows. Will the Leading Lady use “Iron Will Windsor” as a mere warm-up for the real attraction? Will Mina behave herself when she and Storm are face to face next Wednesday night?

“Big Bill” Morrissey is in the ring.

“The Redwood” welcomes us all to TV Time with The Learning Tree, Chris Jericho. “If there is one thing that Chris has taught me, it’s that it’s never too late to start learning, and it’s never too early to start winning. Am I right? This guy knows what I’m talking about!” With that in mind, here he is! The Socrates of Pro-Wrestling, The Guru of Giving Back, The Michael Jordan of Michael Jordans! The Learning Tree, Chris Jericho! Jericho makes his entrance, “Bad Apple” Bryan Keith following behind as the tron now says Jericho’s been “For The World” Champion for 53 days. Jericho waves hi to everyone as he steps into the ring.

Jericho gets his own mic and says, “Hi, guys~! Hi, everybody~! Who wants more TV Time? You know I do! I also wanna says thanks to all the Branches, this new Learning Tree T-shirt just came out 15 minutes ago on Shop AEW, already one of the fastest selling shirts in AEW history. Thanks, everybody~! Who wants one? Who wants one?” The fans cheer, but Jericho doesn’t throw the shirt. Jericho also wants to add that he was eating some corn backstage at catering, and he knows it was grown right here in Des Moines, Iowa. He’s gotta say, it was a little bit ripe and here’s why, because he knows a little bit about farming.

You need to grow corn in fertile, well-trained soil with a pH level of 6 to 6.8. This corn was about a 7, and that doesn’t work for Jericho, brother. So next time, please fortify the soil with more compost if you wanna make better corn. Jericho smiles and Keith says unless you wanna grow some lame ass corn, RESPECT Chris Jericho! And speaking of respect, Jericho knows they all respect each other here. The Learning Tree respects all of his Branches in the Jericho Vortex, both out here in the arena, at home watching on TV, and the wrestlers in the back. And there are a couple youngsters who need a little advice to reach the next level.

Let’s bring ’em out right now. Everyone give it up for Marq Quen & Isiah Kasisdy, Private Party! The fans do cheer as Quen & Zay make their way out, Big Bill vibing to the theme song. Private Party steps into the ring, and Jericho says if they’re gonna do shots, make sure they have a designated driver. But also, Jericho wants to say they have been doing great work. Right, everybody? Private Party’s high-flying is off the charts, next level, and they’ve done great things. The one thing they haven’t been doing lately, though, is winning matches. The reason for that is that their basics just aren’t up to snuff. Jericho doesn’t know who trained them, but he wasn’t very good.

And since Jericho was trained by the late, great Stu Hart over 33 years ago in the Hart Dungeon in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Jericho knows a thing or two about doing the basics properly. Headlocks, running the ropes, proper takedowns. He saw them fly off the top rope, but they don’t even do that properly! It’s technically unsound, guys. Zay says well, how about he teaches them? Zay wants to see it. Quen wants to see it! And pretty sure everyone in Iowa wants to see it! In fact, Jericho is a legend, an OG. Some might even call him… The Caitlin Clark of AEW. Iowa likes that shoutout! Kevin says respect.

Jericho says yeah, he might even throw a three-pointer! He’ll show them how to climb a corner, just as the late, great Owen Hart, one of the greatest high-flyers of all time, showed him. Jericho shows you put a foot here on the bottom rope, then the second, then the very top. See? That easy. And then you stand and do a move. Makes sense? yes, thanks for this lesson. Did they learn from The Learning Tree? Yes, they did. But here’s a lesson from them! Zay TRIPS Jericho up! Jericho gets stuck on the top, Keith runs up but Quen TOSSES him! Bill’s too busy making sure people are admiring Jericho to know what’s happened!

Bill turns around, sees what happened, and then he runs up! Private Party DUMPS Bill out, then they build speed to DOUBLE DIVE! Down go Bill & Bryan! The fans fire up as Zay uses that lesson to climb, and SWANTON BOMB! Quen does the same, so he can hit a SHOOTING STAR! Bill & Bryan run back in but Private Party gets outta there! Quen & Zay just taught us that Jericho’s arrogance makes him gullible. But will the Redwood & Bad Apple make sure Quen & Zay pay for their disrespect?

The Forbidden Door has an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match set!

After Jon Moxley retained the title in a wild Lumberjack match, he dared anyone to step up to the plate. And who stepped up? Tetsuya Naito did! Moxley took the title from Naito in Chicago, so now Naito looks to return the favor in Long Island! Naito’s a big baseball fan, will he knock this one out of the park? Or will Moxley strike him out, for good?

Bullet Club Gold speaks.

Bang Bang Gang has so many title belts, they’re using them as weights for a good pump. Austin Gunn says it is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Collision, and all they keep hearing about is how badass The House of Black is. But what? Are they returning? In action? Sitting all crisscross applesauce? What do they even do?! Colten knows! Lights off. Lights on. OOOH~!! How scary~! The House of Black call themselves “the reapers of the trios division,” but three-quarters of the trios champs say otherwise. All they reap is GOLD~! Juice Robinson says ooh~, House of Black~! They want some action on Saturday night?

Then how about some action with the Bang Bang Gang? They ARE the Collision Cowboys! Collision is the House The Bang Bang Gang Built! And in Youngstown, Ohio, this town ain’t big enough for the both of ’em! The House’s asses are getting kicked! DO YOU GET IT!? Juice smacks #Cardblade, and Austin says if they’re not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya! GUNS UP! Will the Bang Bang Gang really shoot down Malakai, Brody & Buddy? Or will they all regret it in The End?

Daniel Garcia VS Nick Comoroto w/ Jacoby Watts!

The Red Death has gotten back on track as he chases down the International Championship, but he still needs more. Will he get more than enough out of the Wrecking Ball that stands before him? Or will the teachings of HE, Jacoby, finally lead Comoroto to a bright future?

The bell rings and Comoroto runs up, but Garcia dodges! Garcia fires off fists int he corner, lets off, then stomps away! The ref counts, Garcia digs his boots in, but lets off to runs side to side. BOOT WASH! The fans fire up, Jacoby is upset, and we see Will Ospreay watching this. The Aerial Assassin may have Fenix to worry about in the main event, but seems he’s keeping an eye on Garcia. Garcia goes corner to corner at Comoroto, but Comoroto scoops and trophy lifts! Garcia slips free, reels Comoroto in, and hits a SAIDO! We also see MJF watching this now, hand wrapped in an icepack. Could the Wolf of Wrestling be interested in Garcia’s future, too?

Garcia drags Comoroto up, into a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Comoroto flails but that grip is tight! Comoroto fades, but Garcia gives him the RED CROSS! Cover, Garcia wins!

Winner: Daniel Garcia, by pinfall

The fans are all fired up with Garcia, and he raises his fists, to do his dance! Garcia made quick work of a big opponent, but will he be going after bigger and better soon enough?

In fact, Renee walks over to Ospreay and notes Garcia’s made it very clear he wants a shot at the International Championship. In moments, Ospreay puts that title on the line against Fenix, but how is his body holding up after all these defenses against all these different wrestlers? Well, the body is fine. He’d love to stay and talk about how sick a wrestler Garcia is, but he does have to focus on Fenix. His mind is elsewhere because of Forbidden Door. So uh, he’s got a match to deliver, and a contract as well. See you soon. Ospreay heads out, will he still have his gold when he arrives in Long Island?

PAC speaks.

“What a triumphant return to the company. Loss after loss, failure after failure. I have been extorted and trodden on by every Tom, Dick & Harry going, and I’ll be honest with you… It’s humiliating. I’m supposed to be a bastard, but I feel like a bitch. But good news? The good news is, that ends now. I am done with apathy. I’m angry, I’m angry again! And I am at my very best when I’m angry. So here’s what’s gonna happen. I will be entering the Owen Hart Cup. I will be winning the Owen Hart Cup. And I will go on to claim my AEW World Championship opportunity at Wembley Stadium.

“Because I will be DAMNED if a talent of my caliber never gets his Wembley moment. And I will be DAMNED if a talent of my caliber never wins the biggest prize in this industry! This will be my redemption story. Oh, and one more thing. Bang Bang Billy Gang? Don’t you dare for one second think that Death Triangle has forgotten what you did to us. We don’t forget.” The Bastard’s sinister smile surely means bad things for all who stand in his way. Will Pac take the Cup to then go All In on the world title?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

They’re taking on Rocky Romero, Lio Rush and the NEW Undisputed NJPW Tag Team Champions, TMDK’s Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls! Will Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta keep up the momentum from last week? Or will Azucar, The Bad Child & The Mighty score an early victory for NJPW?

AEW Blood & Guts 2024 is official!

While The Elite want to fight the best of the best, we still don’t know who is stepping inside the double-ring, double-cage! However, we know that it will all go down on Wednesday, July 24th, in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena! Who will be brave enough to face Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada & The Bucks on that brutal battlefield?

First, The Young Bucks have had beef with The Acclaimed, so now they’ll settle this in a match! Can Max Caster & Anthony Bowens earn some golden tickets to the tag titles? And then

AEW International Championship: Will Ospreay VS Rey Fenix!

We know The Aerial Assassin is ready, we know The Immortal Firebird is ready, so all that’s left is to do the damn thing! Ospreay drops off his signed title match contract to Nana & Swerve as they sit ringside, will he still be golden stepping into The Forbidden Door? Or will Fenix lighten his luggage on the way to Long Island?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who flies high, and who crashes and burns!

The bell rings and the fans fire up as these two stare down. The fans already cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this one possible. Fenix and Ospreay step up, and the forearms start flying! The fans cheer as they go forearm for forearm, neither man backing down! They do hit harder, and Ospreay ROCKS Fenix! Then CHOPS! Then whips, but Fenix ducks ‘n’ dodges to tiger feint rewind! Fenix avoids Ospreay’s Buzzsaw kick, then kips up! Both men stand off and the fans are thunderous already! Iowa cheers “Both These Guys! Both These Guys!” and Ospreay blocks Fenix’s superkick. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix again, CHOSP again, then whips again. Fenix ducks ‘n’ dodges again, then RANAS! Ospreay tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up! Fenix goes up and up and tightrope walks, but Ospreay avoids the kick to BOOT! Fenix CHOPS! Fenix blocks a boot, puts that leg in ropes, but Ospreay just slips inside. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, builds speed, and BOOTS Fenix down! The fans fire up and Ospreay gets that energy to build!

Ospreay aims, PLANCHAS, but Fenix slides in! Fenix BOOTS Ospreay, steps out, and FLYING RANAS! Fenix then gets Ospreay back in, to springboard FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives and Fenix frowns, but the fans rally as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Fenix clamps onto Ospreay, traps an arm, and then pulls on the other. Fenix learned this one from Penta, but Ospreay fights it off! Fenix CLUBS Ospreay, drags him up, and bumps him off buckles. Fenix CHOPS, then stalks Ospreay to another corner. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, ROCKS him again, then ROCKS him again! Fenix CHOPS back! And ROCKS Ospreay in return! Fenix fires off in the corner, then digs his boots in. The ref counts, Fenix wrenches to WRING Ospreay out, into an omoplata, and RINGS OF SATURN! Ospreay endures, even as Fenix digs an elbow into the ribs! Ospreay fights around, but Fenix CLUBS him again and again!

Fenix drags Ospreay up to run and basement DROPKICK! Cover, ONE!! Fenix BUZZSAWS Ospreay! Ospreay writhes and Fenix fires up. Fenix goes to the far side, comes back as Ospreay stands, and CLUBS him to a corner. Fenix CHOPS, and CHOPS, and Swerve seems mildly impressed. Fenix snapmares Ospreay, traps an arm, then pulls on the other. Ospreay fights but Fenix has the double wristlock. Fenix CLUBS the arm, pulls on it, but Ospreay fights free. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, but Fenix CHOPS Ospreay! Fenix eggs Ospreay on, so Ospreay fires another forearm. Fenix CHOPS again, and that fires Ospreay up!

Ospreay CHOPS, and CHPOS, but Fenix knees low! Fenix CLUBS and HAMMERS Ospreay, Dynamite returns to single picture, and then Fenix says “CERO! MIEDO!” Fenix whips, Ospreay reverses but Fenix tilt-o-whirls, into the IRON OCTOPUS! Ospreay endures, fights up and THROWS Fenix away! The fans fire up again as Ospreay goes to a corner. Fenix runs in, Ospreay BOOTS him away, then Ospreay goes up and out to springboard, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Swerve is still only mildly impressed as Ospreay kips up. Ospreay drags Fenix up but Fenix fires a forearm. So Ospreay fires a flurry!

Ospreay whips, Fenix reverses, but Ospreay handsprings to NEURALIZER KICK! Ospreay hurries to cover, TWO! Fenix stays in this but Ospreay stays cool as the fans rally up. Ospreay brings Fenix around, reels him in and underhooks, but Fenix back drops free! Ospreay staggers up, Fenix runs in, but into an elbow! Ospreay goes up, Fenix somersaults to SHORYUKEN! Fenix climbs up after Ospreay, but Ospreay fires forearms in return! Fenix drops back, comes back, and JUMP SOBATS! Ospreay wobbles, Fenix goes to the apron, and then Fenix climbs up. Ospreay fires forearms in return, then ROCKS Fenix!

Ospreay HEADBUTTS Fenix, Fenix sits on the rope, but then Fenix jumps up to SUPER DUPER STEINER!! Only for Ospreay to land on his feet!! He’s done stuff like that before, but it’s still amazing every time he does! As such, Des Moines is thunderous as Ospreay dusts himself off. Ospreay runs up, dodges Fenix, and then tilt-o-whirl DDTS! But Fenix handsprings through!? Now that’s wild! Ospreay is just as stunned as the fans, but then things speed up again. Tiger feint rewind, HEEL KICK! HOOK KICK! Ospreay loads up, HIDDEN- NO, Fenix dodges! Osprey ducks a roundhouse, Fenix blocks a roundhouse, but then DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES hit!!

Both men wobble, Fenix SOBATS! Fenix whips, Ospreay reverses, and SPANISH- NO, Fenix smothers that, only for Ospreay to lift Fenix up! AIR RAID BUSTER!! Cover, TWO!! Fenix survives that modification and the fans are thunderous again! Fenix and Ospreay slowly stir, “This is Awesome!” as Dynamite goes picture in picture again!

Ospreay waits on Fenix, then calls his shot! But Fenix falls over! Ospreay stops his jump, Fenix rolls out of the ring and to the floor. Ospreay keeps cool, letting the ring count handle this. Fenix is still down at 5 of 10, but he rises up at 7. The count is 9, but Fenix slides in at 9.5! Fenix staggers but he hasn’t given up! Ospreay eggs him on, so Fenix fires forearm after forearm! Ospreay DECKS Fenix with just one! The ref checks Fenix while Ospreay paces. Fenix is still in this so Ospreay sits him up. Ospreay gives Fenix Kawada Kicks! Ospreay tops it off with a KICK, and Fenix flops back over! Ospreay waits on Fenix, and Fenix rises again.

Ospreay eggs Fenix on, then CHOPS him back down! Fenix reaches out, sits back up, and Ospreay brings him around. Fenix CHOSP, but Ospreay CHOPS! Fenix falls back over, Ospreay gets Des Moines fired up again, and Fenix flounders. Dynamite returns to single picture again, and Fenix CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOSP! Ospreay DECKS Fenix again! Ospreay stands Fenix up, DECKS him again, then stands him back up. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, but Fenix suddenly tilt-o-whirls into an IRON OCTOPUS!! The fans fire up as Ospreay endures, powers up again, but into a CRUCIFIX DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Ospreay escapes, and Fenix hurries to a corner. Ospreay runs up, Fenix ELBOWS back, then goes up and QUEBRADAS! Ospreay gets under, only for Fenix to waistlock and GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Ospreay escapes again and the fans fire back up! Fenix stands Ospreay up to fireman’s carry, but Ospreay slips free to underhook! Both men are down and the fans are fired up again! Ospreay crawls to a cover, TWO!! “This is Awesome!” as neither man is done yet! Ospreay rises, he pulls off the elbow pad, and he takes aim from the corner. Fenix sits up, into the HIDDEN- SOMERSAULT RANA! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay stands up, into Fenix’s SUPERKICK! Ospreay goes to a corner, Fenix says “ANIMO!!” Somersault and- HIDDEN BLADE!!! Ospreay isn’t done there, he goes to the corner. Swerve actually looks intrigued as he sees Ospreay climb up. Ospreay looks over at Swerve and now Swerve stands up. Does Ospreay dare do what it looks like he’s gonna do?

Ospreay says this is HIS house! Swerve takes off the sunglasses in indignation, as Ospreay steals the KILL STOMPS!! Fenix flounders, Ospreay reloads, HIDDEN BLADE!!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall (still AEW International Champion)

The Aerial Assassin continues to show his arsenal is endless, and that he can even use someone else’s weapon just as masterfully! Swerve storms up to the ring, and now the champions both stare down. Ospreay smiles and offers a handshake, but Swerve says Ospreay thinks this is a game. Does Ospreay think Swerve’s playing with him? This is LIFE they’re playing with! This title changes your LIFE! Swerve’s the one standing in between Ospreay and that! Ospreay is still that immature little child Swerve met 10 years ago! Ospreay wants to keep having these matches? Then keep doing that week after week, because he can’t hold the world on his shoulders! He’s not strong enough!

But then Ospreay SNATCHES the belt right out of Swerve’s hands! The fans are going nuts as Ospreay looks at both belts, and then puts them both on his shoulders! Swerve scowls as Ospreay says it looks like he is strong enough. The fans chant “OSPREAY TWO BELTS!” Swerve steps closer, and says Ospreay’s lucky they’re still friends. Anybody else does this, he puts them in a grave. Swerve takes his title back, and Ospreay points to the Forbidden Door sign in the rafters. Will we see Ospreay Two Belts become a reality? Or will AEW still be Swerve’s House?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here, a lot of great wrestling, but I wouldn’t say this was a full show of wrestling as Daniels said. That first hour was definitely much more wrestling than talking, but then like hitting a speedbump, there was TV Time with Chris Jericho. Now, that was probably on purpose, because that’s the gag. Jericho continues to be this obnoxious and disingenuous locker room leader that does things like a kids show host talking down to grown adults, and it’s hilarious to me. Especially put alongside Bill constantly bringing up these sayings that I doubt Jericho actually taught him, and Bryan demanding respect on Jericho’s behalf. But at the same time, of course Private Party showed Jericho up, and now we’ll get Private Party VS Bill & Bryan for like Rampage or Collision.

Great opening promo segment here, we got a LOT out of it. For one, Blood & Guts is coming back, The Elite VS some other form of Team AEW, which has at least Swerve and what looks like Acclaimed & Daddy Ass. I kinda wouldn’t mind if they just kept this at 4v4 but there’s a lot of potential for finding a fifth man for each side. And y’know what? Hangman Page needs to be in this match. Hangman has his beef with Swerve, but he might also dislike how The Bucks have handled things, so he could pull a swerve and turn on The Elite to help Team AEW. I also like that instead of the tradition of shirts, The Elite is using Reeboks as the recruiting item.

Another thing was it gave a great segue into Dustin Rhodes VS Jack Perry. Should’ve figured Dustin would bleed, and that he would lose. Jack Perry gets his shot at the title he was gonna be gifted, and depending on who else gets in on this match, there’s still a very good chance Jack wins just to rub this in everyone’s faces. Now, Daniels making Title Eliminators, Acclaimed VS Bucks, there’s a good chance The Acclaimed finds a way to win so that they’ll force a tag title match at Forbidden Door or some point along the way, but certainly before Blood & Guts in late July. And they’re probably still working on who is facing Okada, to try and make it someone who stands a chance.

Great squash win for Rush, and great brawl with MJF. I don’t know why AEW needs to make Rush “foreigner who talks trash on America” when he could just talk trash on MJF directly, but whatever, great brawl with MJF and great move giving us a commercial free grudge match next week. Great promo segment from Cassidy, O’Reilly & Briscoe, Mark Briscoe is a highly underrated promo guy because everything he said felt so natural, off the top of his head, and it had such great energy. Kyle’s face during that was basically my face, I was loving it all. Great Six Man Tag, and I suppose the Heels winning makes sense, especially with all the extra guys on the outside. And of course Kris gets her shot on Willow. Definitely gonna need a Mixed Tag/Mixed Six/something big for this story’s blowoff(s).

Great stuff from Joe & Hook just punking out The Premier Athletes, hilarious even with how Shibata had another camera and then got after Sterling. Not sure why Josh Woods hasn’t gotten involved yet but maybe they wanted to keep this from being a trios thing just yet. Good promo from Bang Bang Gang to call out The House of Black, and if not for Edge’s leg injury, I feel like he’d be leading The House in fighting Bang Bang Gang for the Unified Trios AND TNT Championships, so that one faction would have (for whatever goofy reason) TEN belts to carry around. In fact, they could’ve been the Blood & Guts match instead. But instead, I fear The House of Black is being fed to Bang Bang Gang to help build them up now that Juice is back.

Pac had a very good promo to put his comeback in perspective. Maybe Pac gets in on the TNT Championship story to be the one guy other than Jack Perry who could win. And then maybe we get Death Triangle having a feud for all those belts instead of House of Black? Hard to say, but something has to go right for Pac at some point. Very good promos from Mina, Mariah and Storm, especially with Mariah trying to be peacekeeper. Shingo Takagi having a quick message to say he’s getting in on the Men’s Owen Hart Cup is great stuff. The Rampaging Dragon is a great wrestler, has a great attitude, he’ll make the tournament a lot of fun.

Great match from Mone VS Zeuxis, both women looking great. But naturally, Mone was gonna win that so that we stay on track towards Mone VS Vaquer. Very good promo from Vaquer, and while it’s all kayfabe, I like her telling Mone is horribly arrogant to think any belt was made for her. I said before that it’d be awesome if Vaquer actually won and that angered Mone into becoming a Heel that then goes after the women’s world title. At the same time, Vaquer being a CMLL talent, she probably loses to let Mone be the one going between AEW and NJPW. As wild as it would be for Vaquer to hold four belts at one time, that’s a lot of work, so it’s more reasonable for Mone to be doing double duty and let Vaquer focus on her CMLL belts.

Garcia got quite the quick win over Comoroto, which certainly serves his story of being title worthy. Ospreay watching made all the sense in the world but MJF’s is an intriguing one. MJF is from Long Island, Garcia is from Buffalo, could there be a New York connection going? And of course Ospreay VS Fenix was an awesome main event, it wasn’t gonna be anything less, even if the title wasn’t on the line. Swerve being ringside was good for that final moment where Ospreay uses Swerve’s move just to add on to his own stuff. Great closing confrontation, and it seems Ospreay’s story is mostly that wrestlers who’ve been here just a few years more than him still look down on him on some level.

Now, I’m still thinking Ospreay will pull double duty on Forbidden Door, which could be him trying to earn that respect from Swerve by retaining one title while going for another, but it might just upset Swerve that Ospreay thinks he can win twice on one night. All the more reason Swerve will retain at Forbidden Door, but they probably won’t do that. Ospreay might end up losing the belt before Forbidden Door, proving Swerve is right that Ospreay can’t do it all. There’s a lot of variables here, and that does make it pretty fun to see how it goes.

My Score: 9/10

Yuta and Cash get up, go after each other, it is a brawl now! The fans fire up as the ref reprimands! Yuta DECKS Dax and follows him out. Cash still brawls with Claudio as Collision goes picture in picture!

Yuta sends Dax into railing! Claudio TOSSES Cash out! Yuta CHOPS Dax, Claudio UPPERCUTS Cash! FTR is still on their heels but Dax gets past Yuta. Time Limit Draw

The fans can’t believe it! This isn’t the first time FTR and a form of the BCC have done this! Dax gets a mic and says hey, BCC are fighters, and FTR sure are fighters, so how about fire more minutes? The fans love the sound of that! Yuta sure wants it, but out comes Brandon Cutler. He says hold on, hold on. He is here on behalf of our EVPs, Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, and has the contract for this match. It says 20 minutes, no more. So sorry to be a stickler for rules, but it says 20, not 21, not 25, just 20. So their request- Claudio trips Cutler! GIANT SWING for the Young Bucks’ rule monkey! DROPKICK!!

Then Claudio CATAPULTS Cutler into the SHATTER MACHINE!! Well, we didn’t get a definitive winner in this match, but Claudio gets the mic. Claudio knows Cutler ruined the fun, and they won’t shake hands because that’s too cliche. But hey, anytime, anywhere they to do this again, FTR is on. The fans fire up for that, when and where will we see Dax & Cash run it back with Claudio & Yuta?

Backstage interview with Kyle O’Reilly.

Lexy Nair is with #CombatKyle and notes that tonight in the main event, and for the very first time 1v1, it will be O’Reilly VS Orange Cassidy. Kyle says yeah, and Dynamite was the first time they even collided. But Kyle can see why Cassidy is the face of this company, why he’s the MVP of AEW. He put the International Championship on the map! But then Roderick Strong shouts at “KYYYLE~!” Roddy steps in, The Kingdom with him, and says here’s what is going on. Ever since Kyle returned, he’s look good. Not great, but good. It just seems like Kyle takes one step forward and two steps back. It’s like… Something is missing. Or perhaps someone?

Roddy says that isn’t the only reason he’s here. He knows Kyle has the big main event match, and Roddy wants Kyle to know The Kingdom is rooting for him. And uh, Roddy’s beat Orange twice, so if Kyle needs advice, Roddy’s your man. Kyle says yeah, he “appreciates” the offer, but they’ve been through this before. Their support means a lot, but he doesn’t need it. Roddy says just remember what Kyle said when he returned. Roddy leaves it at that, will Kyle’s words come back to haunt him?

Kris Statlander w/ Stokely Hathaway VS Robyn Renegade!

As “Big Stoke” puts it, it’s #StaturdayNight, as The Galaxy’s Greatest Traitor is now all about herself and no one else. Will Kris take over AEW stat? Or will she be unable to handle this Renegade?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. The two tie up, go around, and Kris puts Renegade in the corner. Kris UPPERCUTS, then snapmares Robyn with force. Robyn gets up but Kris RAMS her into the other corner! Kris RAMS in again and again, lets off as the ref counts to whip right back into the corner! Robyn falls, the fans boo, but Stokely applauds as Kris flexes. Kris eggs Robyn on, then fakes a punch to KICK and LARIAT! The fans boo more but Kris sees Robyn go to a corner. Kris runs corner to corner but blocks a boot! “Nice try!” Kris gets Robyn up, Robyn fights with fists and gets free. But Kris blocks a shot to ROCK Robyn!

Kris then drags Robyn around, lifts, and SITOUT BOMBS! Robyn flounders, Kris hauls her right back up and gut wrenches. Tuck and FIGHT NIGHT FEVER! Cover, Kris wins!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall

Kris does push-ups to show off, Stat’s stats are off the charts! Stokely steps into the ring to say, “This woman standing next to me, she’s an inspiration! She’s my muse! She’s the reason I get up in the morning. And you wanna know why? Because I wish I had the swift of Kris Statlander. I wish I had the speed of Kris Statlander! I wish I had the intensity of Kris Statlander! And I wish I could decimate an entire division with the snap of my fingers, just like Kris Statlander! Which brings me to my next point at hand.” Earlier today, Stokely talked with his close, personal friend, Tony Khan. And for the first time ever, they were on the same page!

Because Stoke told TK that Kris is the past, present AND future of AEW! And also, that Kris Statlander is going to make history! She will be the first woman to have ever won the TBS Championship and the AEW Women’s World Championship! And he’s sure people are wondering how she’s gonna do that, and Stoke is gonna tell you. She makes history again by entering the 2024 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup! Kris will win that, go to Wembley, beat whoever is champion, hold that AEW Women’s World title up high, and there is no one, and Stoke means NO ONE that can stop her! Will Kris’s stats be astronomical after pulling off such an achievement?

Backstage interview with Willow Nightingale.

Lexy finds the Babe with The Power just as she’s entering the building, and asks her her reaction to Stokely announcing Kris’ entering the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Willow says that’s interesting. As last year’s Owen Cup winner, it is only fitting that she announces her own entry. Willow tells Stat that she hopes to see her in the tournament. Then what is Willow doing here tonight? Oh, just keeping an eye on the action. Willow heads out, will these former friends fight over who heads for Wembley?

Dustin Rhodes VS Johnny TV w/ Taya Valkyrie!

If there’s anyone who knows about being #TVReady, it’s The Natural. Dustin has been part of FIVE DIFFERENT DECADES of pro-wrestling, and he doesn’t look to be done yet! Will Dustin show Jonny a thing or two about a thing or two? Or will Dustin be taking a ride on Starship Pain all the way to Slam Town?

The bell rings and Johnny tells the fans to shut up about Dustin. They tie up, Dustin puts Johnny in a corner, but Johnny blocks the haymaker! Johnny wrenches, kicks low, then fires body shots! Johnny ROCKS Dustin, ROCKS him again, but Dustin UPPERCUTS! And UPPERCUTS again! And then he DECKS Johnny! Dustin headlocks, Johnny powers up and out, but Dustin runs him over! Things keep moving, Johnny hurdles and Dustin tumbles! Dustin rolls through that to roll out and hang out with Taya! The fans cheer, and then Dustin spooks Taya with a bark. But Johnny SLIDES out, gets between Dustin and Taya, only for Dustin to CANNONBALL!

The fans fire up with Dustin as he wipes out Mr. TV! Taya says, “How dare you!” Dustin stands Johnny up to CHOP! Dustin puts Johnny in, glares at Taya and Taya says she didn’t say anything. Dustin walks over to her, Taya says he is just a disgusting man. Johnny DIVES and takes Dustin out! Taya applauds, Johnny gets Dustin up and SMACKS him off steel steps! Taya talks trash and mockingly cheers Dustin. The fans actually cheer Dustin, but Johnny & Taya stand on him while they make out! Who’s disgusting? The fans boo, Taya & Johnny stop sucking face, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Johnny steps down so he can stand Dustin up. Johnny ROCKS Dustin, reels him in, and then APRON COMPLETE SHOTS! Dustin flounders into the ring, Johnny stalks him and clamps on a chinlock. Dustin endures, Taya mocks the fans again, but the fans still rally for Dustin. Johnny shifts his grip but Dustin fights up to fire body shots. Johnny ROCKS Dustin then DECKS him! Johnny stomps Dustin, then runs to SHINING WIZARD! Johnny goes back for another kiss from Taya, then stalks Dustin again. Johnny KICKS Dustin, SUPERKICKS him, then grins as he paces. Taya taunts the fans and Johnny goes back for more. Johnny wants a Spider-Man kiss!

Taya kisses Johnny while he’s upside-down, but Dustin drags Johnny back in! CATAPULT into ropes! Johnny suffers for his love, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and both men rise up as the fans rally. Dustin hits first, but Johnny hits back! The haymakers go back and forth, with the fans behind Dustin. Dustin rebounds to UPPERCUT! Johnny ROCKS Dustin, fires fast hands, then hits low! Johnny kicks, runs, but then steals the RHODES- NO! Dustin won’t let Johnny use his move! Dustin UPPERCUTS Johnny, kicks, and RHODES UPPERCUTS! Dustin runs side to side, BOOT then BULLDOG! The fans fire up as Johnny staggers around. Dustin CLOBBERS Johnny, CLOBBERS him again, and the fans fire up! Dustin runs but Johnny BOOTS back!

Johnny runs up, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! Johnny stays in this but Dustin drags him up. Dustin reels Johnny in, but Johnny wrenches out to kick and MOONLIGHT DRIVE! Cover, TWO!! Dustin survives and Taya is upset but Johnny keeps his cool. The fans rally up for Dustin, but Johnny Alabama Lifts! But Dustin grabs ropes to deny the slam! The ref counts, Johnny yanks Dustin free, but Dustin turns this into a DESTROYER! The fans are thunderous and Dustin sets Johnny up in the ropes! The ref reprimands, Taya says don’t! Taya gets up but she distracts the ref! SHATTERED DREAMS!!

Dustin reels Johnny in for the CROSS RHODES!! Cover, but Taya helps with the ROPEBREAK! The fans boo as the ref totally missed that! Dustin tells Taya to stop it! Taya says Dustin can’t do nothing! But he blocks the slap! The ref then EJECTS Taya!! The fans fire up as Mrs. TV freaks out! Dustin hurries in but Johnny LOW BLOWS Dustin! Then ROUNDHOUSES!! Cover, TWO!!! Dustin survives but Johnny hurries to drag him around! Johnny rains down forearms to keep Dustin in the drop zone. The fans boo as Johnny KNEES Dustin down! Johnny KNEES Dustin again, and again! Johnny goes up, STARSHIP FLOP!!

The fans fire up as Dustin dodges, then he gives a SHINING WIZARD back! Dustin hurries to suplex Johnny, FINAL RECKONING!! Cover, Dustin wins!

Winner: Dustin Rhodes, by pinfall

Johnny & Taya tried to take this away from Dustin, but it was only natural that the good guy wins in the end! Dustin gets a mic to say, “Oh God, I’m getting old.” The fans assure him, “You Still Got It!” Dustin thanks them, and says this doesn’t happen a lot for him after a match. He has two things to talk about tonight. One: the fans themselves. For almost 40 YEARS, the fans have not abandoned him. He thanks them for accepting him, turning on their TVs to watch him entertain them. He loves and appreciates them all. Dustin also thanks the talent in the back, the production crew, and Tony Khan for all the support right now. And that includes these cameramen.

These are the best cameramen in the business, they’re all number one. But the second thing, and the most important thing, and it really pisses him off… But Dustin wants to talk about the one they call “Scapegoat” Jack Perry. The fans boo that name. Dustin tells Jack that when he left, AEW did miss him. The fans are a bit torn on that. But when Jack came back, they were happy to see him. And what’d he do? Jack attacked Dustin’s boss! The man who pays them their money! The man who gave Jack his second chance! Jack disgusts Dustin. Jack joins up with The Elite? C’mon, man…

And lately, Jack’s been talking about sacrifice. Jack’s sacrifices for this business. Let Dustin tell you something, boy! Jack was born with a silver spoon in his mouth! He’s never worked a day in his GADDAM LIFE! Sacrifice? Sacrifice is losing your job, being handed a watch, and a computer took your job. Then you pick up two jobs just to make ends meet, and the money’s still less somehow! THAT is sacrifice! But for 37 YEARS, Dustin has sacrificed for family, the most important thing in his life! “Jack, to put it simply, you ain’t sacrificed S*IT!!”

When Dustin first met little Jack, they took a picture, and Dustin thought, “What a cool kid.” But knowing what he knows now, Dustin can’t see anything other than a spoiled brat. So listen up very carefully, Jack. The reason Jack is mediocre right now is because he’s not a leader but a follower! Jack’s always been a follower! And if Jack’s not a leader, which he sure as Hell ain’t, then as his dad would say, the view never changes! The fans cheer for “DUSTY! DUSTY!” and Dustin looks to Heaven. Dustin then tells Jack, “You and I have a match this Wednesday on Dynamite. Jack… I am going to DESTROY your little punk ass!

“You can’t beat me fair and square, and I’ll mark my whole career on that! And this Wednesday night, when it’s all over and you’re laying in a pile of heap, you will never forget my name! The Natural, Dustin Rhodes!” The fans are all fired up for that! Will Dustin teach Jack Perry all about #HardTimes?

AEW hears from Zack Sabre Jr.

“AEW fans rejoice. You’re listening to the dulcet tones of Zack Sabre Jr. Now we are fast approaching that magical time of the bloody year, The Naughty Door. And it would not be complete without the greatest technical wrestler in the world, Zed S J. And this year, I’m returning for unfinished business. Freshly Squeezed Orange Bollocks, you’ve got the juicy bits. You get your ass to New York, June 30th, Forbidden Door. I’ll see you there, darling.” The Submission Master wants to settle the score with Cassidy, will he make Cassidy #JustTapOut?

The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling VS Trip Jordy & Dante Leon!

Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari tried to make a fool out of Hook, but Samoa Joe was the only reason Hook didn’t make ground beef out of them. Will the Premier Athletes prove they’ve got what it takes to back up their talk?

The teams- NEVERMIND, Nese & Daivari just attack! The bell rings, Nese whips Dante to a corner, he and Daivari mug him! The fans boo, Nese & Daivari let off. Trip runs up but is sent into Dante, and they both get mugged! Nese & Daivari TOSS Trip out, then Daivari gets Dante for the LION’S LARIAT! Nese TOSSES Dante out, but Trip returns! Daivari bucks the O’Conner, Nese gets him with a PREMIER DRIVER! Cover, Premier Athletes win!

Winners: The Premier Athletes, by pinfall

Sterling raises his guys’ hands in victory, but needless to say, the guys they faced aren’t anything close to Hook & Joe. Will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil & The Samoan Submission Specialist be much more than just a workout for Nese & Daivari?

Scorpio Sky speaks.

“I’ve been listening. And I hear you. There’s a gap in this company. You feel it. One by one, all of your heroes have fallen. Who else do you got? They say an open hand is not as strong as a closed fist. Now is the time for us to come together. And standing on the backs of those fallen heroes, we can reach the stars. I will be your hero. I will be your voice. And eventually, I will be your champion. Because I’m here for you.” Scorpio smiles, but not for long. Will he come through on his promise to win it all “for us?”

Toni Storm w/ Mariah May & Luther VS Lady Frost!

The Leading Lady told us last night that she is going to turn up the heat, and things are certainly heating up as Mariah is finding herself stuck between her two mentors. Will the AEW Women’s World Champion stay sharp as she prepares for Mina Shirakawa? Or will Frost be so cold that she earns her own shot at the gold?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, Storm arm-drags then poses. The fans cheer but Frost stays cool. Frost and Storm reset, circle, and tie up. Frost blocks an arm-drag, so Storm wrenches to a wristlock instead. Frost cartwheels then arm-drags back! The fans cheer as Storm goes to a corner. Storm is flustered but she resets with Frost. They circle again, tie up, and Frost wrenches to knuckle locks, then a spin and cording hold. Storm powers her way out to wrench and wristlock. Frost moves around, rolls, but Storm wrenches again. Storm whips, Frost reverses then says FREEZE! So Storm poses!

The fans cheer, Frost is flustered but she trips Storm! Things speed up, Frost ducks ‘n ‘dodges to handspring and RANA! Storm tumbles out of the ring, Frost fakes a plancha! Frost then mule kicks, then ASAI MOONSAULTS! The fans fire up while Mariah checks on Storm. Frost has her step aside, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Luther helps Storm up while Mariah distracts Frost, and Storm is safe in the ring! Frost is annoyed but she hurries back in. Frost brings Storm around to CHOP! Storm staggers away, Frost storms up on her and CHOPS again! They go to a third corner, but Storm avoids the chop to CHOP in return! Storm brings Frost around to CHOP again! Frost drops to her knees, but Storm gets her up to snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Storm brushes her stinging chest to then get Frost up. Frost throws body shots, but Storm ROCKS her! Storm snapmares Frost for a HIP ATTACK! And another HIP ATTACK! And then a wind up and HIP ATTACK!

Storm drags Frost up, whips her to a corner, then CHOPS! Storm reels Frost in for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Frost stays in this but Storm stays on her. Storm has the arms for a motorcycle stretch! Frost endures, fights up, but Storm shifts to a full nelson! Storm thrashes Frost around, Frost fights up, but Storm TOSSES her! Storm stalks Frost to a corner, bumps her off buckles, then stomps a mudhole in. Storm CHOPS Frost, swaggers to the far corner, and Collision returns to single picture. Storm poses for her close up, then runs up, but Frost avoids the hips! Frost runs corner to corner to handspring CANNONBALL into only buckles!

Storm hurries back in, SWEET HIP MUSIC! Cover, TWO!! Storm is shocked that her second take didn’t do it! Storm gets Frost up but Frost switches. Frost pushes to ropes but Storm bucks the O’Conner! Storm gets Frost up, Frost trips Storm to a jackknife, TWO! Storm hurries for the SKY HIGH! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally as Frost goes to a corner. Storm runs in, but into an ELBOW! Frost BOOTS back, runs and cartwheels to Alabama Lift again! But Storm turns that into a STORM ZERO!! Cover, Storm wins!

Winner: Toni Storm, by pinfall

The Summer heat was too much for Frost and Storm stands tall! Mariah sits with Storm and Storm has a mic. Storm tells Mariah that she knows Mariah has been having a tough time recently. In a few weeks time, Storm faces Mariah’s former tag partner, Mina Shirakawa. Storm knows this is awkward for Mariah, but Mariah must know, Storm loves her so very much. Storm is just so proud of Mariah, and she should have all the same opportunities as Storm did. But Storm didn’t have someone looking out for her, and that is what Storm is going to be for Mariah. So as AEW Women’s World Champion, Storm is DEMANDING that Mariah be entered into the Women’s Owen Hart Cup!

The fans cheer and Mariah is honored! Storm vows to be there every step of the way, they’ll get through this together. No matter what happens, remember: chin up; tits out; and watch for the SHOE~! Will Mariah make Storm proud by becoming the 2024 Queen of Harts? Will Storm still have Mariah’s support at Forbidden Door?

BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Collision!

As part of the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY, there will be a TNT Championship Qualifying Match! Lee Moriarty will represent Shane Taylor Promotions against Dante Martin of Top Flight! STP called out the Martins, will Angel Dorado shut them up when he shuts #TAIGASTYLE down? Speaking of…

Backstage interview with Shane Taylor Promotions and Top Flight.

Lexy thanks all six men for agreeing to the No Physicality rule for this. Next week, Lee Moriarty VS Dante Martin is a qualifier for the TNT Championship ladder match. There is a longstanding history between these two, they were once friends training under Matt Sydal. Dante says that is true. Another fact is that Dante was Lee’s first opponent in AEW. Lee has grown leaps and bounds since that day. BUT, the results next week will still be the same. But hey, all in friendly competition, right? Lee says that’s crazy, because the last time they were in the ring together, Lee won that! So what makes Dante think that when the stakes are this high, it’ll be any different?

Shane says he appreciates this history lesson and all, but that’s all it was: history, the past. Just like their friendship. Now Lee is rolling with the baddest fight team in all of AEW. You think Dante can outwrestle one of the best technical wrestlers in the game today? What Top Flight does barely counts as wrestling, they’re just glorified stuntmen! The only one out of the three with any heart is Action Andretti! Action isn’t sure why he got singled out, but Shane says next week, we see who can really rumble. Tensions are running high, and it’s headed for a Collision next week. Who makes it through to head for The Forbidden Door?

Samoa Joe & Hook speak.

Joe asks “Speak ‘n’ Spell” what’s good, is this working? Katsuyori Shibata via Google Translate says yes, relax, he’s got the camera. Okay, follow them. This trio goes down the hall and Joe asks about lacrosse. Is that some sport y’all just invented? What? That’s like the oldest sport in North America. Oh, a game that’s half hockey and half soccer is somehow the oldest sport in America? Yeah, bro, older than both. Huh. Joe then walks up to a door, asks if Hook’s ready, and Hook says let’s get it. Joe slides the door open, and asks The Premier Athletes, “What’s up, boys?” Hook & Joe jump Daivari & Nese while Sterling shouts for help!

Joe tells Sterling to shut up, then throws him down! Joe tells Sterling to look at him! Hook, you watch this, too, because it’s important. Sterling opens his eyes while trembling, and Joe tells Sterling to remember who did this to them. Joe shoves Sterling down, he and Hook leave, and Shibata adds, “Next time, it’ll be wrestling.” Joe’s trio of BAMF’s heads out, will they make The Premier Athletes all eat their words?

Daniel Garcia VS Tate Mayfairs!

The Red Death returned home to Buffalo to refocus, as well as remember the day everything almost ended for him. Garcia wants after the International Championship, will he prove himself worthy in time for The Forbidden Door? Or will The UK’s (self-proclaimed) Best Wrestler of All Time prove he is worthy of his own international opportunities?

The bell rings and the two tie up. Garcia waistlocks to SLAM Tate, floats all over, then sits on him. The fans cheer, Garcia goes to Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Garcia headlocks, wrenches, wristlocks, but Tate rolls, handsprings, and cartwheels to then arm-drag! But Garcia holds on to drag Tate down! The fans cheer but Tate fights up. Tate spins, powers Garcia to a corner, and the ref counts. Garcia turns things around, but Tate turns them back. Tate body shots, CHOPS, and UPPERCUTS! Tate climbs up to smooth his hair, but the fans boo. Tate FIST DROPS, rolls back, and he soaks up the heat. But then Garcia runs up to CLOBBER Tate!

The fans fire up and Garcia storms up to whip Tate. Garcia ELBOWS Tate down, Tate flounders about, but he uses ropes for defense. Garcia still whips, but Tate blocks to send Garcia into buckles! Tate runs and LARIATS Garcia! Cover, TWO! Tate rains down fists, lets off as the fans boo, but Tate flexes, to then mock Garcia’s dance! Garcia fires off hands, but Tate fires JAB, JAB, JAB and RIGHT! Tate then steps up to ELBOW Garcia, and smooths his hair again. Tate reels Garcia in but Garcia throws knees! Garcia reels Tate in, TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Garcia drags Tate up to TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT again! Then a third TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT!

The fans fire up, Garcia runs up, but Tate BOOTS him! Tate runs up, Garcia clamps on but Tate breaks free. Garcia SLAPS Tate, reels him in, SAIDO! Tate flounders around, the fans fire up, and Garcia does his dance! Garcia runs to SHOTGUN Tate down! Garcia reels Tate back in, GUILLOTINE FACELOCK!! Tate fades right out, but then Garcia hits the RED CROSS! Cover, Garcia wins!

Winner: Daniel Garcia, by pinfall

The Dragonslayer is ready to be a #Goatslayer, will he take down whoever the International Champion is come Forbidden Door?

AEW takes a closer look at Zeuxis.

Tag team partner to Stephanie Vaquer, a top champion in CMLL, she is the #PuertoRicanPower that punishes all those in her way. She has etched her name into the history books alongside Vaquer, and looks to add to that by taking the TBS Championship from Mercedes Mone. Will CMLL have a Two Woman Power Trip? Or will the CEO keep things as planned for Forbidden Door?

MORE BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

Christian Cage is preparing a “Father’s Day Special” so that should be… something. Then The House of Black returns after their brutal Double or Nothing loss to Adam “Edge” Copeland, what will they do to redeem themselves from that Rated R defeat? Plus, Thunder Rosa and Deonna Purrazzo look to finally settle things in a NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH! Will La Mera Mera or The Virtuosa stand tall in the end?

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.

Lexy is now with Freshly Squeezed, and says he has the big main event match up next, but she knows a lot has been on his mind lately. We saw that video from ZSJ calling him out, and Cassidy says yes, we did. As if he didn’t have enough to worry about. Cassidy has his match with Kyle tonight, all his friends have left him, having either given him a piledriver on steps or a punch in the face. Every other week for the past two years, it was like everyone wanted to team with him. He had so many friends. Now where’s everyone? All gone, he’s alone. And ZSJ wants to talk Forbidden Door? Cassidy has to get through tonight.

Lexy’s seen Kyle O’Reilly in action, right? And so, for the first time 1v1, Cassidy has Kyle. Cassidy thinks that’s like, now. He has to go, he can’t be here right now. Cassidy heads out, having said the most he’s said perhaps ever in his entire AEW career. Is Freshly Squeezed finally starting to feel the pressure of his star power? Can he hold it together against the Violent Artist?

Orange Cassidy VS Kyle O’Reilly!

We heard from both men tonight, and going by how he has The Pixies as his theme and the darker denim jacket on, Orange is in a sour mood. Will he end up bitter after losing tonight? Or will tasting sweet, sweet victory lighten Cassidy’s mood?

Oh and of course, The Undisputed Kingdom makes sure Kyle notices they’re in the crowd for him. The bell rings, Kyle and Cassidy circle. The fans rally and duel, the two men tie up, and Kyle waistlocks. Kyle then shifts to wrench an arm, wristlocks it, but Cassidy works his way into a roll, sits there, then rolls back to wrench back! Kyle kicks Cassidy away, goes for a leg, then brings Cassidy down. Kyle floats to a headlock and he grinds Cassidy down. Cassidy kicks around, the fans rally, and Cassidy less kips free and more scoots free. The fans cheer as Cassidy flops to the ropes. Kyle sits down and waits on Cassidy.

Kyle reclines back, leg guard up, and dares Cassidy to go for the groin. Cassidy isn’t so sure about that, but Kyle stays facing him no matter where Cassidy goes. Kyle then rolls back for an upside-down guard. Cassidy being perplexed is something new, but then Cassidy sits down to dare Kyle to go for the groin. Kyle BOOTS Cassidy, knuckle locks, but Cassidy denies the top mount to MONKEY FLIP! Cassidy rolls back, but into the body scissors! KIMURA, but Cassidy has the ROPEBREAK! Kyle lets go cleanly, and the fans rally behind him. The Kingdom really pour it on, too. Kyle and Cassidy tie up, and Kyle headlocks.

Cassidy powers up and out, but Kyle avoids the arm-drag to trip Cassidy. Kyle steps all over Cassidy, runs, but blocks the hip toss to go for a hip toss, only for Cassidy to turn that around! Cassidy drags Kyle to a lateral press, ONE! Kyle has the ghost pin, ONE! Cassidy shifts around to ghost pin, TWO! Kyle shifts to ghost pin, TWO! Cassidy shifts and Oklahoma Rolls, TWO! Kyle wrenches and wraps Cassidy up, MOUSE TRAP! TWO, but now Cassidy’s in a GROUND OCTOPUS! Cassidy kicks and flails, ROPEBREAK! Kyle lets go cleanly and the fans cheer. Cassidy bails out, The Kingdom is there to taunt him, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Cassidy paces, frowns, and goes back inside. Cassidy then slides back out, getting a fresh count. Cassidy lazy fist bumps fans, then he goes back into the ring. Cassidy and Kyle reset, tie up, and Kyle wrenches to a wristlock. Kyle drags Cassidy down and headscissor holds! Cassidy endures, but Kyle pushes up to put on the squeeze! Cassidy kicks but can’t kip free, and Kyle puts on more pressure! Cassidy headstands, then kicks to pop free. Cassidy puts his hands up, but Kyle keeps them from the pockets! Kyle drags Cassidy around into the ARMBAR! Cassidy kicks and flails, ROPEBREAK! The erf counts, and Kyle lets off.

Cassidy shakes out his arms while he stands up, and he resets with Kyle again. They tie up, Cassidy headlocks, but Kyle endures. Cassidy wrenches to wristlock, then hammerlocks. Kyle switches the hammerlock onto Cassidy, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and Cassidy fights up, only for Kyle to headlock. Cassidy powers out to then headlock and takeover! Kyle pushes his forearms into Cassidy’s face, rolls him to a cover, ONE! They stand, Kyle powers up and out but Cassidy slips around to hit another headlock and takeover! The fans cheer this technical exchange, then they rally up and duel. Kyle fights up to throw body shots, then he sends Cassidy to a corner. Kyle runs in, Cassidy slides under, but then Kyle rebounds to slide under Cassidy! Kyle goes for a leg, Cassidy steps over and wrenches. Kyle wrenches back, suplexes, STUN DOG- NO! Kyle stops the stunner for a SLEEPER!

Cassidy flails, reaches out, but Kyle rolls him back! But Cassidy rolls through, gets the wrists, and he uses ZSJ’s EURO CLUTCH! TWO!! Kyle escapes, but then Cassidy puts hands up! Kyle stops him from putting them in pockets! Cassidy still tires, but Kyle fights those off! Kyle uses a shoulder to block one, then clinches! Cassidy fights to reach for his pants, but Kyle still holds the arms up! So Cassidy puts his hands together and slips out the bottom! The fans cheer as Cassidy gives a lazy thumbs up! Cassidy then ducks the buzzsaw! Hands up, and in pockets! The fans cheer but Kyle is annoyed. Kyle whips, Cassidy rolls then hurdles, then MONKEY FLIPS!

Cassidy kips up, but Kyle KICKS, SLAPS, KNEES and KICKS! LEG SWEEP!  The Kingdom is all fired up for Kyle, and Kyle KICKS Cassidy in the back! Kyle drags Cassidy up, wrenches an arm, and hits an ELBOW BREAKER! Kyle whips Cassidy to a corner, Cassidy goes up and out, ducks a shot and bumps Kyle off buckles! And off more buckles! Then back the other way, but Kyle HOTSHOTS the arm! Kyle gets a leg now, DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Cassidy falls, Kyle goes out and he brings Cassidy around. Kyle SLAMS the leg on the edge! Then he DECKS Cassidy with a forearm! SLAM the leg, DECK Cassidy!

The Kingdom cheers and that just annoys and confuses Kyle. Roddy whispers something to Kyle, perhaps one of his “secrets” to defeating Cassidy? But then Cassidy storms up to ROCK Kyle! And again! Kyle gets the leg, DRAGON SCREW and Cassidy is sent into the barriers! The Kingdom fires up, the ref checks Cassidy, but Kyle storms up on Cassidy. Kyle gets the leg again, DRAGON SCREW and again Cassidy hits barriers! Could this be the hint Roddy gave Kyle? Kyle puts Cassidy in, then stalks Cassidy to a corner. Kyle fires knees, backs off to run back in, but blocks a boot! That leg is put in the ropes, Kyle DRAPING DRAGON SCREWS the other leg!

Cassidy falls over and flounders away! Kyle stalks Cassidy again as Collision goes picture in picture.

Kyle stomps Cassidy at the ropes, lets off as the ref counts, then puts a leg on the ropes. Kyle stands on that leg, to then stomp the other! The Kingdom continues to applaud, Kyle stalks Cassidy to a corner. Kyle HEADBUTTS Cassidy down, ties up the legs, and mocks putting hands in pockets before hitting a FIGURE FOUR SNAP LOCK! Cassidy writhes, Kyle stalks him out of the ring, and again The Kingdom applauds. Kyle drags Cassidy up to KICK him against barriers! Kyle then KICKS the leg out and Cassidy sits down! Kyle stomps Cassidy, drags him up, puts him in the ring, then stalks him some more.

Kyle grabs at Cassidy, but Cassidy reels him into a cradle! TWO!! Kyle KICKS the leg out and Cassidy falls over! Kyle paces around Cassidy, like a shark with blood in the water. Kyle kicks Cassidy, KICKS him again, and again! But Cassidy just gets mad! Cassidy stands, Kyle KICKS him again! And again! Cassidy shakes his head, Collision returns to single picture, and the fans duel as hard as they can! Kyle KICKS, Cassidy shakes his head more and more! Kyle KICKS and KICKS and fires forearms! Then ELBOW- NO, Cassidy blocks that to wrench and PELE the arm! Kyle staggers, Cassidy WRINGS that arm out! And PENALTY KICKS it!

The fans fire up, Kyle bails out, and Cassidy builds speed! Cassidy DIVES and direct hit into Kyle! Kyle hits railing, Cassidy hobbles back up, and Cassidy puts Kyle in the ring. Kyle yoyos and returns, into an ORANGE PUNCH!!

Cassidy pushes Kyle over for the cover, CASSIDY WINS!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall

The Kingdom cannot believe it! Cassidy was combat ready and grits it out against Kyle in their first 1v1 encounter ever. Cassidy gives a thumbs up to Kyle out of respect, but Kyle seems a bit frustrated with himself. WAIT, Trent Beretta & Kyle Fletcher slide in! Trent CLOBBERS Cassidy!! The fans boo, and Kyle sees this as the Don Callis Family mugs Cassidy! Kyle says hell no, and he storms back in! Kyle fires off on Fletcher! But then Trent CLOBBERS Kyle! The DCF beat down Kyle & Cassidy, why isn’t The Kingdom doing anything to help their “friend?” And then Trent puts Cassidy in the SNAKE BITE!!

Fletcher stomps away on O’Reilly, it’s Kyle on Kyle violence! BUT WAIT! Kris slides in! Kris taps Trent on the shoulder and he lets off. They shake hands, they’re still friends. The fans boo as Kris then sits Cassidy up, but he’s dead weight! But here comes WILLOW! Willow slides in, Kris runs away! The Babe with the Power warned Kris that they’ll see each other soon enough. But will Willow and Cassidy have to watch each other’s backs if they want a fair shake against Kris and Trent?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision, with some real story development here. Kris of course beats Renegade and I do like her getting in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Good stuff with the new tron and Stokely’s promos, too. Willow also had a good promo in response, and we should’ve of course seen how things would go at the end of tonight. Awesome main event from Cassidy VS O’Reilly, with good stuff from The Kingdom ringside the whole time. Great win for Cassidy, and then of course Trent attacks with back-up from Fletcher. Kris also looks to add on, but good counter from Willow. I was expecting a Mixed Tag, maybe we get a Mixed Six if they want Kyle and Kyle included. Chances are, one of the Kyles takes the loss, maybe The Kingdom screws around to keep it protected.

The opening tag match of FTR VS Claudio & Yuta was awesome stuff as far as action, and pulling a time limit draw was fine. Cutler showed up to mouth off on behalf of the EVPs so him getting beat up was fun. Maybe the BCC become allies to FTR against The EVPs? The Acclaimed is already gunning for the tag titles as it is, could something really big be in the works? Good squash win for Nese & Daivari, and I really liked Joe, Hook and supposedly Shibata jumping them in the locker room. Pretty sure we get a Six Man Tag, where Nese, Daivari & Josh Woods take on Joe, Hook & Shibata. Could be a way to build Joe, Hook & Shibata as a trio before taking on Bang Bang Gang.

Very good promo from Shane Taylor Promotions and Top Flight. The way Shane’s putting Action over, could STP be trying to recruit him away from Top Flight? Either way, Lee VS Dante is going to be really good stuff next week, either man is a great choice for the ladder match. Garcia VS Tate was really good but really quick because of course Garcia was gonna win. Garcia being from Buffalo, New York, I am very sure they’ll give him an International Championship match for Forbidden Door, and he could possibly even win the title. Garcia needs something, this would be the right spot if Ospreay is staring down double duty between the International title defense and challenging for the AEW World title.

Very good match from Storm and Frost, and good win for Storm. Her little promo with Mariah to put her in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup was good, but this is definitely setting things up for Storm VS Mariah in Wembley. Mariah could help Storm retain the title at Forbidden Door, then shockingly betray her on the build to All In. That would be some wild stuff after all these months of Mariah being a loyal protege. And then great stuff with Dustin VS Johnny TV. Great win for Dustin, and a great promo from him calling out Jack Perry. Dustin VS Jack is going to be great stuff, and could even be how Jack earns his way into the TNT Championship match, just as I was sensing on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
