The Woman of 1000 Holds has had this belt for a long stretch after taking it from Thunder Rosa. But now, she and the inaugural AEW Women’s World Championship face off in a rematch from the Women’s Title Eliminator Tournament, with gold on the line! Will Riho become the first woman to win both AEW and NWA titles in her career? Or will it be Serenity Now to kickoff the action?

The introductions are made, the title is raised, and we see which way Lady Luck leans in the Buy-In!

Fans fire up as the two circle. They tie up, Deeb shoves Riho away, and the two reset. Riho and Deeb tie up, Deeb headlocks, fans rally and duel and Riho throws body shots. Riho powers out but Deeb runs her over! Cover, but Riho goes Matrix to slip out! Riho runs but Deeb dodges the dropkick! Fans cheer as the two reset again, and Riho offers a handshake. Fans cheer that as Deeb considers it. Deeb SLAPS Riho! Fans boo as Deeb talks trash to Riho, but Riho SLAPS her back! Deeb kicks low, throws EuroUppers, then whips Riho to ropes. Riho handsprings and dropkicks Deeb to a corner! Riho runs corner to corner to KNEE Deeb!

Deeb staggers, Riho climbs and fans fire up! Riho leaps to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Deeb flounders to the corner, Riho whips her to ropes but Deeb reverses. Riho ducks and dodges to sunset flip! Deeb stays up, gets the arm and hooks it up for an omoplata! Riho scrambles to get to the ropes! Deeb has to let off and fans fire up. Deeb grab at Riho’s leg, brings her off ropes and DRAGON SCREWS! Fans rally and duel again, Deeb runs corner to corner and clotheslines Riho! Deeb sweeps the legs, gets Riho under the bottom rope, for the CATAPULT GUILLOTINE! Deeb soaks up the cheers and jeers as she says, “This is MY house!”

Riho sits up in the corner as Deeb heads over. Deeb gets Riho up, rocks her with EuroUppers, then gets the legs. Deeb drops elbows on the knee, turns Riho over to hook both legs, and even pulls Riho’s hair to fish hook her face! The ref counts, Deeb lets off at 4, then keeps the leg hooks so she can STOMP the knees! Riho flounders and clutches her legs, and Deeb soaks up the heat again. Riho rushes over, Deeb slips out to the apron but Riho counter punches! Riho shoulders into a GROVIT! Deeb holds on through the ropes, the ref counts and Deeb lets off, just to put the hold back on! The ref counts again, Deeb lets off again, then turns Riho for a HOTSHOT NECKBREAKER! Riho flops down, Deeb covers, TWO! Deeb grows frustrated, fans rally and duel again, and Deeb drags Riho up. Riho wobbles, Deeb climbs up, but Riho resists the superplex! Riho fights back with body shots and haymakers! She DECKS Deeb to the drop zone! FLYING DOUBLE STOMPS! But Riho clutches her leg! Both women are down, fans fire up, and a standing count starts. Riho and Deeb slowly sit up at 5 of 10, Deeb stands at 6. Riho throws hands over and over! Riho climbs up, Deeb stands, DOUBLE STOMPS to the back! Deeb writhes but Riho has to get her bad leg moving again. Riho aims from a corner as Deeb sits up, METEOR- NO! HALF CRAB! Deeb sits deep on the leg and Riho grits her teeth! Riho reaches for ropes, crawls and gets the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Deeb lets go but gets Riho back up. Riho throws haymakers, but Deeb DRAGON SCREWS the leg again! Deeb gets Riho up, reels her in, but Riho slips under and trips Deeb up, EURO CLUTCH! TWO!! Riho tilt-o-whirls, but Deeb denies the crucifix to get the leg and SMASH IT over and over, to the SERENITY LOCK!! Riho endures but she taps! Deeb wins!!

Taz is on commentary rather than ringside, because The Machine took the Cowboy up on the challenge of kicking ass alone! Will the Problem Solver be the one to solve the problem that is The Path of Cage?

The bell rings and Hangman rushes Cage with fast hands! Cage shoves him away but Page comes right back! Hangman BOOTS, runs, and BOOTS again! Cage stays up so Hangman runs, but Cage CLOBBERS him! Cage POSTS Hangman, then reels him in for a pump handle and lift, but Hangman lands on his feet! SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, ONE!! Cage bails out to the apron but fans fire up as Hangman runs, TRIANGLE LARIAT off the corner! Cage falls to the floor, Hangman takes aim but Cage drags him out of the ring! Cage RAMS Hangman into railing, then throws him back in the ring. Hangman comes back and DIVES! Direct hit into railing!

Hangman aims again, for a PLANCHA, but into Cage’s arms! Cage carries Hangman around, pops him up and POST BOMBS him! Fans boo Cage but Cage drags Hangman up. Cage bounces Hangman off the apron, then whips him hard into railing! The fans are rally up for Hangman but Cage puts him in the ring and kicks him down. Cage sits Hangman up and brings him around to a corner. Cage RAMS his shoulder in, and again! Cage CHOPS Hangman, but Hangman fires forearms back! Cage JUMPING KNEES! Cage walks over and drags Hangman back up to scoop him. Cage uses Hangman for bicep curls, then pops him up to a SAMOAN- Hangman countered with a crucifix! Cover, TWO!! Hangman gets to the apron, shakes out cobwebs and climbs a corner, but Cage ROCKS him first! And CHOPS him! And climbs up to join him! Cage fireman’s carries but Hangman throws elbows. Hangman adjusts to SUPER STEINER- NO! Cage drags Hangman back up for a SUPER STEINER ANYWAY! Hangman covers, TWO!! The Cowboy counters the counter but doesn’t finish this just yet! “This is Awesome!” just like the Buy-In. Hangman goes to the apron, BOOTS Cage away, but Cage SUPERKICKS in return! Cage climbs the ropes to dead lift SUPERPLEX, but Hangman slips out!? Cage avoids Hangman’s bomb, but Hangman avoids the discus to ROLLING ELBOW!

Hangman throws off the armband to DISCUS! Cover, TWO!! Cage survives again and Taz is a bit stressed on commentary. Fans rally up as Hangman gets back up. Hangman fires up and wants an Alabama lift but Cage fights it off! Cage ripcords to FOREARM! Cage fireman’s carries but Hangman lands out of the F5! Hangman’s boot is blocked and Cage KNEES him back, to then ONE-ARM SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!!! Hangman survives and shocks Cage! Cage snarls as he goes to a corner, aims at Hangman and runs corner to corner, to back elbow, GAMANGIRI, but Hangman holds ropes!

Hangman elbows Cage away, but runs into the HOTSHOT F5!! Cage goes to the apron and looks at the ramp. Cage gets Hangman back up, and DEAD LIFT SUPERPLEXES Hangman to the ramp! Fans lose their minds as both men hit hard! Cage gets up, shouts, “WHO BETTA THAN CAGE?!” Cage drags Hangman up and hoists him to the top rope. Cage then climbs back up, fireman’s carries Hangman, and SUPER F5!!! Cover, TWO!?!? Hangman survives and no one can believe it! Cage is furious, goes to the apron and takes aim? Hangman staggers up and Cage slingshots, but Hangman fireman’s carries! F5!!! Cover, TWO!!

But Hangman goes right to the apron! Taz freaks out, the fans are thunderous, BUCK- NO! GERMAN SUPLEX!! And a hard one! Cage gets Hangman back up, for a POWERBOMB, dead lift and BUCKLE BOMB! But Hangman trips Cage to a jackknife, TWO!! Hangman staggers up into Cage’s DISCUS!! Cage hauls Hangman back up, SPINNING BOMB!! Cover, TWO?!?! Hangman is still alive and the fans are thunderous! But here comes Team Taz! Hook distracts the ref while Ricky Starks gets Cage his FTW title! Taz wants Cage to do it, too, but Cage tosses the belt away!? Cage has honor, but Hangman gets him in an Alabama!

Cage fights out, throws Hangman and tells Hook to leave! Taz is furious as Cage turns around into a BUCKSHOT!! Cover, Hangman wins!!

Taz and team may hate that Cage didn’t do things their way, but maybe they were why Cage just lost! Hangman gets some #Pageweisers and gives a toast to Daily’s Place! Hangman heads out, will he be heading for a title?

Meanwhile, Cage argues with Starks and Hooks about the deal they had but he can’t shove Starks because of the bad neck. So he shoves Hook! Is the team about to fall apart?

 

AEW World Tag Team Championships: The Young Bucks VS Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston!

Matt & Nick Jackson sold out and changed everything from their attitudes to their fashion sense! But the Maniac and the Mad King ain’t changing for nobody! Will being true to themselves help the wild things become kings of the tag division? Or is a Superkick Party still a Superkick Party, even without the Nike Diors?

Speaking of those shoes, Mox & Kingston have the pairs they stole from the Bucks with them as they make their entrances through the crowd! The Bucks make their braggadocios entrance, strike their pose and have the streamers fly, but Moxley and Kingston jump them! This match is already becoming a fight!

Kingston has Nick in a corner, Moxley throws Matt out to drop ax handles! Moxley makes Matt eat the streamers! The bell hasn’t rung, this isn’t even a match yet! Good thing, because Kingston chokes Nick in a corner! Moxley uses his shirt to choke Matt! Nick gets out to go after Mox, CLUB him down, and he and Matt mug Moxley! Kingston DIVES!! Direct hit and everyone goes down! Moxley gets up and is enjoying this! Moxley and Kingston get the Bucks off, throw more hands, and Kingston tears off Nick’s jacket to hit him with it! Moxley drags Matt through the crowd to throw hands in front of the middle section! Kingston throws the jacket up like LeBron’s chalk!

Fans give Mox a White Claw and he chugs it down! Kingston throws hands, Moxley keeps bringing Matt around the way, and each man mugs a Buck against railing! Moxley throws Matt into railing on one side, Kingston sends Nick to the other side! Brandon Cutler checks on Matt, gives him some cold spray, but Kingston sees him. Cutler wants him to take it easy, but Kingston DECKS him! Cutler scrambles into the ring, and into Moxley’s SLEEPER! Moxley feeds Cutlery to Kingston, for the VIOLENT CROWN! Cutler’s down, but the Bucks come back with a vengeance! Matt drags Moxley out to throw hands, and Nick stomps Kingston! The bell sounds, this is finally a match!

Nick wants Kingston to get up, and Kingston does to CHOP Nick! Moxley tosses Matt over railing! Kingston whips Nick to kitchen sink knee! Kingston sits Nick up to KICK him again and again on the back! Cover, TWO! Kingston gets Nick up, tags Moxley back in, and they mug Nick. They double whip, double shoulder Nick down, then Moxley DECKS Matt! Matt runs in, the ref stops him, and both Moxley and Kingston stomp Nick behind the ref’s back! The Bucks are getting a taste of their own dirty medicine! Fans cheer as Matt protests, and Moxley fakes a tag with Kingston. Moxley whips Kingston in to KNEE Nick, then Moxley KNEES Nick!

Mox feeds Nick to Kingston’s GOURD BUSTER! Kingston gets Nick for an STO! Cover, TWO! Nick gets to a corner, Kingston fires off machine gun CHOPS! Matt rushes over but Kingston DECKS him! Nick pokes Kingston in the eyes! Fans boo, Nick KICKS Kingston’s leg out! Tag to Matt, he runs and BLASTS Moxley off the apron, then WRECKS him with a dropkick! Matt skins the cat, he and Nick have Kingston in a corner for a ENZIGURI LARIAT COMBO! Then they go again, CANNONBALL ENZIGURI COMBO! Matt fires up but fans boo while Don Callis puts the Bucks over on commentary.

Nick holds Kingston in the corner and Matt clubs him on the back. Tag to Nick, the Bucks bring Kingston out to whip to ropes and double elbow! Fist drop splash combo! Fans boo but the Bucks soak it all up. Nick scrapes his soles on Kingston’s face, then struts around like the Macho Man. Nick taunts Mox, but runs into Kingston’s FLAPJACK HOTSHOT! Kingston hurries but Matt tags in! Matt sweeps Kingston’s leg then DECKS Moxley! Matt goes out to whip Moxley into railing! Matt goes back to Kingston, mockingly gets the fans to rally, and he “tags” off Kingston! Matt rallies on Kingston, thrusts the hips and keeps hitting him.

Matt has Kingston in a corner, rains down rights over and over, gets all 10, and powers up! Matt brings Kingston around to scoop and SLAM! Matt “Hulks Out” and runs, but Moxley trips him up! Moxley CLOBBERS Matt on the outside! Nick checks on Matt, gets him up and in, and then hurries back to his corner. Hot tag to Nick and he slingshots, into Kingston’s EXPLODER! Fans fire up while Kingston and Nick are down! Hot tags to Matt and Mox! Mox SHOTGUNS Matt into Nick, and clotheslines both Bucks in a corner! X-PLEX for Matt! X-PLEX for Nick! Mox gives Nick a PILEDRIVER! Matt gets in and fires hands with Moxley, but Moxley ROCKS Matt!

Moxley reels Matt in, traps the arms and hits a PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO!! But into a BULLY CHOKE!! Matt endures, fans fire up, but Nick stomps Mox! Nick saves Matt, gets Moxley up, and the Bucks double whip. Moxley crisscross the Bucks to DOUBLE DDT!! Fans are thunderous again as Moxley takes aim. Clothesline for Nick in a corner! Matt BOOTS Moxley but runs into a back drop! Matt is down, Nick bails out, but Good Brother Karl Anderson is here to talk trash on Mox! But Kingston sees Gallows emerging from the crowd and LEAPS to take him down! Mox dares Anderson to do something, but FRANKIE KAZARIAN leaps and tackles the Machine Gun!

The Heavy Metal Rebel fires off hands on Anderson, having vowed vengeance on The Elite for what they did to SoCal Uncensored! Fans are loving it as Kaz chases Anderson off! But wait, someone slipped something to Matt! Moxley turns around into the COLD SPRAY!! And a CAN SHOT! Nick CLOBBERS Kingston! Matt covers, TWO!! There will be no Double or Nothing screwjob! But Moxley is bleeding from his forehead! We have a “This is Awesome!” hat trick as Matt tags Nick. Matt gets Moxley up on the ramp, gut wrenches, and Nick springboards in, MELZTER DRIVER TO THE RAMP!! Callis jokes that a spot just opened up on the AEW roster!

Moxley is down as the ref counts. Moxley flounders around, staggers about as we reach 5 of 10, but the fans rally for him as he flops down. Moxley gets back up and is in at 9 of 10! Moxley eggs Matt on, then SLAPS him! Matt throws hands and now eggs Moxley on as he stomps away! Matt paces while fans boo. Matt headlocks and punches the bleeding forehead! The ref reprimands, Matt lets off but Moxley leans against ropes. Tag to Nick, Matt puts Moxley in the ropes, and Nick climbs, DRAPING SWANTON! Cover, TWO!! Nick stomps Moxley down in frustration but fans haven’t given up. Matt mocks them for cheering Moxley on as Nick stomps him more.

Tag to Matt, the Bucks kicks Moxley around, and Moxley has a crimson mask. Callis somewhat sarcastically says to stop the match as the Bucks kick and kick and DOUBLE BUZZSAW! Moxley flops over, Matt covers, TWO! Matt clamps on with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Moxley fights up and reaches for his corner, but Matt throws him down by his hair! Matt taunts Kingston, Nick drags Moxley to the ramp and chokes him! Kingston protests, the ref keeps him back and the choking continues! Matt tags Nick, the Bucks stay between Mox and Kingston and slap him around! They throw hands, pie face him, but Moxley fires off body shots!

The Bucks mug Moxley, then fist bump a la the Shield! The Bucks mock another Shield staple, but Moxley fights off the assisted powerbomb! GERMAN SUPLEX for Nick! Moxley waistlocks Matt, Matt reaches for Nick and ends up getting him in a waistlock! DOUBLE GERMAN SUPLEX! Fans are fired up with Moxley and he heads for his corner! Hot tag to Kingston! Kingston rallies on the Bucks with big hands! Nick kicks low, whips Kingston to ropes, but he reverses to OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Dropkick for Matt, then a DDT! Kingston drags Matt back up, sits him down, and wraps on a STRETCH PLUM! Nick punches Kingston but it does nothing!

Kingston lets Matt go so he can get in Nick’s face. Nick runs, into a BOOT! Kingston shakes out the bad leg, fires off machine gun CHOPS on Matt in a corner, Kingston is hitting all Four Pillars! But Nick mule kicks Kingston in the leg! Matt cravats, gets help from Nick, SLICED BREAD! Nick adds a SHINING WIZARD! Matt covers, TWO!! Kingston survives but Matt tags Nick. Nick climbs a corner, tells Kingston he’s done, and then SWANTONS onto knees! Kingston looks and sees Moxley and hurries over! Hot tag back to Mox but DOUBLE SUPERKICKS hit him first! Matt gets Moxley up, Nick climbs, but no bang as Moxley slips out! SLEEPER HOLD on Matt!

Kingston trips up Nick so he can’t save Matt! Matt drops back and Moxley wraps on the body scissors! Kingston anchors Nick, Nick kicks him away and adjusts! Matt moves around, gets free, and Nick 450 SPLASHES Moxley!! Matt covers, TWO!?! Moxley survives and Callis is furious! Matt throws down fists on Moxley’s bloody forehead, then scoops him again. Kingston trips up Nick’s slingshot! Matt has the SLEEPER again! Kingston gets in, feed and Moxley runs, but Nick trips Moxley! Nick RAMS Moxley into railing, Matt scoops Kingston, but now Moxley trips Nick! Matt gets free, someone throws in a Nike Dior? The ref takes that away, but Kingston gets Matt to a corner.

Kingston gets Matt in an Electric Chair, and Moxley has one of the other Nike Diors! After all, there were four of them! Moxley climbs, DIOR DOOMSDAY DEVICE!!! Cover, Nick breaks it in time! Nick punches away on Moxley then KNEES Kingston off the corner! Fans hope they “Fight Forever!” at this rate as Nick tags back in. Moxley sits up but Kingston is down! Nick aims and SUPER- But Mox blocks! PARADIGM- NO! Nick flips through, trips Moxley up and steps through, SHARPSHOOTER!! Moxley endures as Nick sits deep! Moxley crawls, claws, reaches, but Matt keeps Kingston away! Moxley still reaches but Nick drags him away!

Fans rally for Moxley but he’s stuck! Kingston gets free of Matt to BOOT Nick down! Matt swings on Kingston, but into a DANGEROUS SAIDO! Nick SUPERKICKS Kingston! Moxley CLOBBERS Nick! PARADIGM SHIFT!!! Cover, but Matt breaks it!! Matt wags his finger, he won’t let it end like that! All four men are down, the ref counts but Moxley stands at 4. Moxley gives Nick headbutt after headbutt, then whips him to the corner. Nick tumbles over and out to PENALTY KICK Kingston! Moxley gets Nick in a SLEEPER! But the ropes are in the way and the ref counts! Moxley drags Nick in so there’s no ropebreak!

Matt rushes in, Moxley lets Nick go to avoid a superkick! Moxley blocks another, throws it at Nick but he ducks! The Bucks reset to DOUBLE SUPERKICK Moxley again! Moxley rebounds to DOUBLE LARIAT! Moxley gets Nick up but Matt SUPERKICKS! The Bucks reset again, Nick SUPERKICKS! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS the third time around! Cover, ONE?!?! HOW?!?! Moxley shakes his head and the fans are electric! Matt officially tags in, he and Nick have Moxley in the center! They take an arm each, call it out, B T E TRIGGER! But they hold Moxley up! They hit another BTE TRIGGER! And another! AND ANOTHER!! The Bucks let Moxley go after four shots, then cover Moxley, and the Bucks win!

Paul “Big G” Wight joins commentary for this one, because it’s a big show! We know 20 entrants, but there will again be a mystery 21st! Who drew the wild card tonight? And will they be a factor in this opportunity for a future AEW World Championship match?

Per the rules, AEW “shuffles the deck,” and we start with the Clubs first! And first out for that group, it’s CHRISTIAN CAGE! Fans are fired up to see Captain Charisma live and in person, but he’s joined by Matt Sydal, Will Hobbs, Dustin Rhodes and The Acclaimed’s Max Caster! “Yo! Christian Dustin off the cobwebs. He used to be interestin’, when he had an Edge. Ey yo, Sydal, you trippin’! Climb to the top, I’mma catch your ass slippin’! Ey yo, Dustin, yo, Dustin, look at me. Dustin, look at me! It’s Dustin in the place, but you’re so ugly, you should paint your whole face! You know I’m so great, Double or Nothing is my showcase!” Platinum thinks he’ll go and win it, but will he be feeling like a deuce in a minute?

The bell rings, this starts as Hobbs goes after Christian and Dustin goes after Caster! Sydal goes after Hobbs given their history against each other, but Hobbs shoves him away. Sydal comes right back, Dustin goes to throw Caster! Caster holds on desperately as Dustin tries to scrape him off the apron! Caster pokes Dustin in the eye, kicks him low, and has him in a corner for haymakers. Sydal KICKS Hobbs in the legs, but Caster knees Sydal low! The clock is ticking to two minutes as Sydal KICKS Caster in the leg! Dustin and Christian stomp Hobbs down while Sydal Question Mark Kicks Caster! Caster yanks Sydal into ropes, but Sydal SOBATS!

Sydal goes to push Caster out but Caster elbows him away. Hobbs elbows Dustin away, stomps Christian, but Dustin claws Hobbs’ back! Caster pops Sydal up for a KNEE! Caster whips and ELIMINATES Sydal! Dustin throws Hobbs over but Hobbs holds on! Christian CHOPS Caster, and CHOPS him again! Christian hoists Caster up but Caster fights him off. Caster tries to shove Christian out while Dustin tries to scrape Hobbs, but both Christian and Hobbs hold on. Hobbs kicks Dustin away, Christian elbows and CLUBS Caster! We’re under 40 seconds as Caster whips Christian but Christian slips off the scoop!

Hobbs CLOBBERS Dustin while Christian whips Caster up and over! Caster hits the ramp and then the floor, Christian ELIMINATES Caster! The clock ticks down as Hobbs digs his boots into Christian. The timer hits zero, and we have… the Diamonds! Dustin goes after Hobbs as Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy are here to represent the Hardy Family Office! But they lie in wait as the others come out! Dustin throws Hobbs over but Hobbs holds on, and the HFO jump the Dark Order’s Preston Vance! But he’s ready, and DECKS Kassidy! Vance blocks Hardy’s kick to spin him around and BOOT him down! Kassidy gets up, Vance blocks his kick, too, and pops him up for a POWERBOMB!

Vance leaves the HFO behind and The Factory’s Nick Comoroto enters! Vance goes after Hobbs, the Freak Beast wants after Dustin! And then Chaos Project’s Serpentico is being forced to enter by Luther! Luther hurries back to the back and Vance back drops Serpentico! Vance whips, Serpentico dodges, wheelbarrow but STUN GUN GERMAN SUPLEX! Serpentico flounders up, Vance clotheslines and ELIMINATES Serpentico!! The SNAKEMAN is done already, but now Comoroto stares down Number 10. Comoroto pie faces Vance so Vance throws hands! Comoroto and Vance brawl, Comoroto knees low and scoops, but Vance slips out to SPINEBUSTER!

Fans fire up with Vance and we’re already at a minute left this round! Vance clotheslines Comoroto against ropes again and again, but Comoroto stays up. Vance runs, into a SPEAR!! The Freak Beast is like a wrecking ball! He gets Vance up, throws him out, but Vance holds on! Dustin gets involved, dumping Comoroto AND Vance over, and ELIMINATES them both!! The Natural’s still got it, but now Hobbs is after him! Hobbs pushes Dustin, Comoroto has Dustin’s cow bell! Comoroto CLOBBERS Dustin!! Fans boo but the Freak Beast doesn’t care! Hobbs hauls Dustin up and over and dumps him out to ELIMINATE him! But Christian gets Hobbs with a KILLSWITCH!

Time’s up, and here come… the Hearts! But before they start appearing, Hardy finally gets in the ring! Fans fire up for Hardy and Christian, but Kassidy chop blocks Christian from behind! Hardy applauds Kassidy, but here come BOTH Varsity Blonds! Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr. attack Hardy and Kassidy! They double whip the HFO at each other, then BOOT them both down! The Dark Order’s BOOM BOOM, Colt Cabana is here! Cabana jumps in and JABS away on Hardy! Flip, flop, fly, but Kassidy goes after Cabana, only to get the BIONIC ELBOW! Anthony Bowens comes in to avenge Caster! He fires off on the Blonds, JAB and CHOP then a BRAINBUSTER for BPJ!!

But the last heart is Penta El JOKER! And he tells Bowens, CERO! MIEDO! SUPERKICK! Penta fires off CHOPS on Cabana and BPJ, then BOOTS Hardy! BRONCO BUSTER on BPJ! The fans join in with Cero Miedo, but Bowens BLINDSIDES him! Bowens throws hands, Cabana dumps Hardy out but Hardy clings to the post. Kassidy dumps and ELIMINATES Cabana! The Blonds go after Bowens and Penta, dropkick and SPINEBUSTER! They throw and ELIMINATE Bowens! Kassidy pretends like he helped out and gives a thumbs up, but BPJ knees him low! Griff rushes Hardy but gets dumped to the apron!

Hardy clubs at Griff’s hands but he holds on to fire forearms back! Hardy DECKS and ELIMINATES the Ivy League MVP! Penta goes after BPJ and fans chant “Cero Miedo!” Penta CHOPS and jabs BPJ, whips him to ropes but BPJ stays in the ring. Penta hauls BPJ up, GAMANGIRIS, but HFO go after them both! It’s of note that Christian and Hobbs have been resting on the outside having gone out under the ropes, both clearly waiting for better opportunities. Penta turns things around on Hardy for a GAMANGIRI! Penta throws down hands on Hardy, Kassidy hoists BPJ up and the countdown is 20 seconds. BPJ hits a double ax handle on Kassidy!

BPJ drags Kassidy to ropes, Kassidy fights back, and the countdown is zero! All that’s left are the Spades! And first out is Jungle Boy! The fans are thunderous for him already! JB and Penta are face to face, and Penta tells JB “CERO! MIEDO!” JB swings on Penta, Penta dodges to SLINGBLADE! JB is back up but gets another SLINGBLADE! BACKBREAKER! Marq Quen joins to make HFO one man stronger! Quen and Kassidy go after BPJ but he fights them off! But they still hit GIN ‘N’ JUICE!! They get BPJ up, throw him out and ELIMINATE him! The Factory’s Aaron Solow is here, but he is indeed solo right now!

For those wondering, QT Marshall wasn’t cleared to compete so Solow is taking his spot. Then, the Dark Order’s Evil Uno is here! He has a brand new look as he fires off on Hardy! And lastly, BIG SHOTTY, LEE JOHNSON! He surely wanted after QT but any Factory member is good enough! He ENZIGURIS Solow, but Solow HIGH SCREW KICKS! Solow whips, Johnson lands on the apron and shoulders back in! Johnson shovels Solow out to the apron, they brawl on the edge, and Johnson elbows Solow down to ELIMINATE him! But Hardy BLASTS and ELIMINATES Johnson! The HFO is dominating this but Uno and JB fight back! Uno hits a COMPLETE SHOT on Kassidy!

Uno gets Penta up to throw hands while JB grinds Hardy down. Quen attacks JB, Uno BOOTS Penta. Uno runs in but Penta dumps him out, ENZIGURIS and ELIMINATES him! JB LEAPS at Penta, and uses a RANA to ELIMINATE him!! JB skins the cat but Hobbs is back! Hobbs CLOBBERS Quen! And SPINEBUSTERS Kassidy! Christian is back as Hardy winds up but Hobbs CLOBBERS him, too! JB fires forearms on Hobbs but Hobbs choke grips JB to TOSS him into a corner! Christian and Hobbs brawl again, Hobbs runs at a corner but Christian dodges the splash! Christian hoists Hobbs up but Hobbs holds ropes! Christian gets him loose and ELIMINATES Hobbs!!

The wild card has yet to be dealt, but we have Jungle Boy, Christian, and the #HardyParty as our final five right now! Hardy and his team regroup, Christian and JB slowly stand back up, and battle lines have been drawn! The HFO attacks, Hardy going after JB while Private Party is after Christian! The fans count it down, here comes the 21st man! It’s… LIO RUSH!! The Man of the Hour has been #NJPWStrong but he’s ready to be All Elite! Rush rushes the ring, leaps over Quen to CROSSBODY Kassidy, then he baits Quen into a leap frog and POISON RANA! Kassidy runs in but Rush jumps all around him, slides under and KANGAROO KICKS him!

Rush springboards, whip and redirect, for a SPANISH FLY! Rush is fired up but Hardy storms up to him, to whip him at ropes! Rush rebounds, back hands, and fires off fast hands! Rush whips, Hardy reverses but Rush rebounds again, for the STUNNER! Fans are fired up as Rush says this is his time! He has his pick of the field, goes after Kassidy, but Quen saves him. Quen shoves Rush around, but Rush fires off fast hands! Rush ROCKS Quen, Kassidy runs in but is sent to the apron! Quen runs in, Private Party has Silly String, but Rush was ready and pushes them back! Rush clubs at their hands, Hardy dumps and ELIMINATES Rush!!

The HFO celebrate together, keeping the final five as it was before the Rush! Now they go after JB and Christian again! Private Party chokes Christian, Hardy scoop SLAMS JB, then they call their shot! “DELETE! DELETE!” JB stands up, stops the Twist, but gets a SIDE EFFECT! Hardy drags JB up, whips but JB rebounds to LARIAT! JB and Quen brawl, Quen whips but JB stays on the apron. Christian fights Kassidy, goes after Quen and throws him out. Kassidy attacks Christian, whips but Christian reverses! Private Party tries Silly String again but JB SUPERKICKS it apart, and ELIMINATES Kassidy in the process!

JB then sweeps Quen’s legs, Christian WRECKS Quen with a dropkick and ELIMINATES him! Captain Charisma, Jungle Jack Perry and Big Money Matt are the final three! Hardy just realizes this and is very worried. He wants Christian and JB to take it easy, but the fans are singing for Tarzan Boy! Hardy says the veterans should team together! Christian fist bumps Hardy, they corner JB, but then Christian tosses and ELIMINATES Hardy!! Now it’s just him and JB! Fans are electric as that world title opportunity is one step away! JB and Christian approach, Christian kicks low and whips but JB fights it off!

JB RAMS Christian to a corner, and tries to hoist him out! Christian fights that off, fans are fired up as JB still gets him up top! Christian keeps fighting, he BOOTS JB away then leaps to FLYING UPPERCUT! Christian gets JB up, whips but JB slips free to mule kick, front kick and ENZIGURI! Fans are thunderous as they rally and duel. JB gets Christian up, Christian shoves him away and even ducks the rebound lariat to REVERSE DDT! Christian wants JB to get up so he can get Rated R! JB slowly rises, Christian runs in but JB fireman’s carries the Spear and gets Christian to the ropes! Christian fights free, whips JB, but JB holds on!

JB skins the cat, but Christian is there! JB has Christian in a facelock and drags him over! Christian lands on the apron, JB kicks at him, then slips into the ropes! Christian catches him but gets a SWING KICK for it! JB boots, but into underhooks! JB fights free, goes up the corner, but Christian shoves him! JB swings around the corner to safety! Christian hurries inside the ropes, runs at JB, but JB shoulders into him! JB shovels Christian up and over, and WINS!!

Winner: Jungle Boy (earns a future AEW World Championship match)

Captain Charisma did #OutWorkEveryone by being among the first entries and making it to the end, but he did NOT win it all! Jungle Boy, an AEW original, now has his shot at the AEW World Championship! Fans chant “YOU DESERVE IT!” and perhaps they’re right! Jurassic Express comes out to celebrate with him, and Christian lingers in the ring. The veteran shows his respect to this young star by saying he better go win that belt! But just like everyone else, Jungle Boy has to wait and see who even has the title after tonight! Will JB be taking on a Bastard, Freshly Squeezed, or the belt collecting Best Bout Machine over the summer?

For one night only, the American Nightmare becomes the American Dream to defend the honor of his home against The Guv’nor, Britain’s Olympic bronze medalist boxer with hands of stone! Will Cody represent that moniker proudly and to the very end? Or is the tale of the tape already a telling sign of how this will go?

The bell rings, Cody gets around Ogogo’s haymaker and waistlocks. Ogogo goes to ropes, Cody lets off and the two reset. Ogogo swings again but Cody gets the arm! Cody tries to drag Ogogo down but they end up on ropes again. The ref counts, Ogogo bucks Cody back but Cody kicks low! Cody drops for the Rhodes Uppercut! Cody gets up but Ogogo BODY SHOTS! Cody staggers up, Ogogo wrenches for the OLYMPIC SLAM! Cover, TWO! Cody survives Ogogo’s take on the Olympic Gold Medalist’s move! Cody gets to a corner, Ogogo runs in but Cody goes up and over and gets Ogogo for a SPINNING POWERSLAM! But Cody can’t cover from the pain in his stomach!

Cody goes after Ogogo’s arms, gets him up and reels him in for knees into the stomach! Cody scoops, Ogogo slips off and shoves. Things speed up. Ogogo hurdles and BOOTS Cody down! Cody winces but Ogogo taunts him. Cody gets up, gets a leg, trips Ogogo and gets chicken wings! Cody bridges for CATTLE MUTILATION! Ogogo endures, flails, but refuses to give up so Cody lets him free. Ogogo bails out to regroup with QT, but Cody runs and DIVES into a forearm shot! Ogogo gets in, but Cody gets around him to a waistlock. Ogogo switches to GERMAN SUPLEX! Ogogo clutches his arms but he taunts Cody as he KICKS him in the side!

Ogogo paces, scuffs Cody and flips off the fans before running for an elbow drop! Cover, TWO! Cody grimaces but Ogogo covers again, ONE!! Ogogo argues the count, Arn coaches Cody up and Cody gets a leg. But Ogogo rakes Cody’s eyes! Ogogo runs corner to corner and EuroUppers! Then runs to LARIAT Cody inside-out! Cover, TWO! Ogogo grows frustrated but QT coaches him. Cody ends up on that side, Ogogo distracts the ref and QT sucker punches Cody! Ogogo covers, TWO! Arn storms over to QT and fans fire up as he chases QT up the ramp with a chair! QT tells Arn to stay back, but Ogogo goes for the elbow drop again. Cody dodges and Ogogo hits mat!

Cody stomps Ogogo’s hand and hammers the bad arm. Ogogo wrenches and fireman’s carries to a SWINGING SLAM! Cover, TWO! Fans rally for Cody but Ogogo tells them to shut up. Ogogo whips Cody, Cody KICKS Ogogo back! Cody runs but Ogogo sends him into ropes! Cody flounders, Arn checks on him while QT checks on Ogogo and his bad eye. Ogogo is bleeding from the forehead, over the good eye! Cody bobs ‘n’ weaves and throws body shots, showing Ogogo he can box just like him! Cody kicks a leg out then hits a bulldog! Fans fire up with Cody as Ogogo flounders. Cody has Ogogo in the ropes and punches the forehead!

Cody whips, Ogogo reverses, but he gets a CODY CUTTER for it! The ref checks on Ogogo but he is okay to continue. Cody gets Ogogo up and puts him on the top rope. Cody ROCKS Ogogo, throws body shots, then climbs up top. Ogogo throws hands and DECKS Cody! Cody hits the mat, Ogogo hops down, but then reconsiders? Ogogo climbs up, wanting to prove he’s a pro-wrestler! FROG SPLASH!! Ogogo flounders from his own rib pain but does cover, TWO!! Cody survives and grimaces again as he gets up. The ref double checks the bloody wound but Ogogo is okay to continue. Ogogo runs corner to corner to EuroUpper! Ogogo runs again but into a dropkick!

Cody gets the leg, lets out a “WOO~!” and puts on the FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK! Ogogo endures, QT pushes the rope to be closer to him, but the ref reprimands him. Ogogo crawls over, reaches out, but he PUNCHES Cody! It’s a cover, TWO!! Cody survives but Ogogo turns things over to reverse the pressure! Cody lets the leglock go and both men slowly stand. Ogogo hobbles over to Cody, has him in the ropes, but Cody backwards headbutts! Dragon sleeper, but Ogogo snapmares free to BODY SHOT! And UPPERCUT! Cody is down, Ogogo covers, but Cody’s hand is under the rope! QT protests but it is obvious Cody has the ropebreak!

Ogogo drags Cody back up, gut wrenches, and hits a CLIFFHANGER! Cover, TWO!! Cody survives and Ogogo is beside himself! Fans rally up while Ogogo grows frustrated. Ogogo fires himself up, gets Cody up and reels him in, pop-up but Cody elbows back! Cody hooks Ogogo up in the reverse Gory, for DINN’S FIRE!! Cover, Cody wins!!

QT is seething, but his best blue chipper just got beat by the Nightmare Family’s founding father! Cody goes out to celebrate with the people, but will he continue to carry the banner forward for family and country?

 

AEW TNT Championship: Miro VS Lance Archer!

The Bulgarian Barbarian has been pushing the Murderhawk Monster’s buttons, but he crossed the line at the Double or Nothing Fan Fest weigh-in when he attacked Jake the Snake out of nowhere! Will Archer make sure that The Best Man has the worst night of his life? Or will this be a second Double or Nothing that Archer is denied this title?

The introductions are made, but Miro doesn’t even get in the ring because Archer FLIES out at him! Archer takes Miro down but keeps on him with furious fists!

Archer throws Miro into the ring, the bell sounds to get this on the record, and Archer runs to back elbow Miro! And then again to elbow him again! Archer goes corner to corner again, Miro meets him halfway, and double clotheslines hit but neither falls! Archer BOOTS Miro down, then brings him to a corner with a knuckle lock. Archer climbs, fans fire up and Archer goes Old School, to then MOONSAULT! Cover, ONE!! Miro bails out but Archer is enjoying this as he goes out after him. Miro throws body shots and EuroUppers, then bounces Archer off railing! Miro drags Archer around by his hair, they brawl more, and Archer blocks a table bump to bump Miro off the table! And POST him!

The ref says to get this back in, but Archer CHOKE SLAMS Miro through the timekeeper’s table! Fans are fired up while the ref checks on Miro. Miro is somehow okay, but fans are on Archer’s side as he puts Miro in. Archer stalks Miro to a corner but Miro bails back out. Archer sees that, slides back out the side, and he waits as Miro staggers around the way. Fans boo and Archer runs in, but Miro catches him! Miro OVERHEAD Belly2Belly suplexes Archer onto the wrestlers watching ringside! Miro then hops the railing and gets Archer up to OVERHEAD Belly2Belly Archer back over! Miro goes after Archer CLUBS him, puts him in the ring, and stomps him into a corner.

The ref counts, Miro lets off with a haymaker, but Archer shoves Miro. Miro knees low, whips corner to corner then splashes! Miro soaks up the heat from the fans then runs corner to corner, into a CROSSBODY from Archer! Archer is seething as he demands Miro get up. Archer kicks low, knee smashes, then runs. Miro dodges to WHEEL KICK! Miro welcomes all the cheers and jeers as he circles Archer. Archer sits up, and Miro KICKS him! Miro sits Archer up with his ponytail, and KICKS him again! And again for another KICK! Miro wants another but Archer blocks to ROCK, ripcord and reel Miro in for the HELLACOASTER! Cover, TWO!!

Archer is fuming but he still has more to try. Archer stomps Miro to a drop zone, climbs up top, and fans fire up as he MOONSAULTS but flops! ROUNDHOUSE from Miro, then a fireman’s carry to SAMOAN DROP! Cover, TWO!! Archer survives but flounders to a corner. Miro fires himself up, fans rally and duel, and Miro stomps around. But wait! Jake The Snake IS here! And he has a bag! Is there a descendant of Damian in there? But Miro drags Jake into the ring! Archer rushes over but into a BEST KICK! Miro grabs Jake’s bag and shakes it around! Miro TOSSES the bag away! Animal cruelty!!

Miro stalks Jake as he flounders up, but Archer intercepts for a CHOKE SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Miro survives but Archer is snarling! Archer drags Miro up, hoists him up to the top and ROCKS him. Miro SLAPS Archer, Archer SLAPS back, it’s a SLAP fight! Archer ROCKS Miro again, drags him out with the inverted crucifix but Miro fights free! Miro fires off kicks to Archer’s leg, then runs, into a DERAILER!! Miro falls out of the ring, Archer goes out and gets him up into the ring. Archer is on the apron but Miro gets him in the ropes. Archer choke grips but Miro kicks the ropes to hit Archer low! Miro snap suplexes Archer up and in! Then hits another BEST KICK!

Fans fire up, and Miro shouts “GAAAAME! OOOOVER!” He stomps Archer, and locks on the camel clutch! Archer endures, gets up but Miro KNEES him in the back over and over! GAME OVER is in DEEP!! Archer endures, but he’s OUT! Miro wins!!

The Full Metal Warrior made it to one YEAR as champion, but The Doctor says that’s long enough. Britt always says she’s the Face of the AEW Women’s Division, but will she be the champion of it? Or will Shida go beyond one year and on towards a second?

The introductions are made, the newly redesigned belt is raised, and we see who defines the next era of AEW Women’s Wrestling!

The fans rally and duel but DMD has a lot of fans in Daily’s Place tonight. Britt and Shida get face to face, and then the forearms fly! Shida knees low, has Britt against ropes, but Britt blocks the whip to turn things around. More forearms fly, Britt rolls Shida to the armlock! Shida slips free to run but Britt avoids the Tamashi knee! Fans cheer as the two stand off and circle again. They tie up, Britt wrenches, hammerlocks, and half nelsons to spin and snapmare to an armlock! Britt gets the crucifix pin, TWO! Britt tries a lateral press, TWO! Shida gets around to waistlock and drag Britt up to SLAM her! Fans fire up and duel as Shida has the legs! Shida hammers Britt to get her in a BOW ‘N’ ARROW!

Shida readjusts, Britt pops free but Shida has the body scissors. Britt and Shida throw forearms in that position, Shida turns Britt to a cover, TWO! Shida adds a motorcycle stretch to this, Britt fights up but Shida bends her back against boots! Britt endures so Shida BOOTS her away! Shida gets Britt up, Britt throws a forearm but Shida whips her. Britt holds ropes to avoid the dropkick then bails out. Britt regroups with Rebel, Shida waits because she has Champion’s Advantage. Shida CLUBS away, then lines up a shot. Shida runs but Britt spins to KICK Shida down! Britt goes out to stand on Shida’s head! Britt switches, but Shida runs at ropes, Rebel’s crutch hits Britt!! Shida rolls Britt up, TWO!??! Britt survives her own failed attempt at a screwjob! But Shida gets Britt up, FALCON ARROW! Sting & Darby Allin VS Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky!

The Icon and the Relentless have found themselves the targets of All Ego & The Face of the Revolution. Ethan wants to end Darby’s run as the underdog darling, and Scorpio says the Stinger Man has lost his sting. But will they be the first to see why both men have lasted this long?

Ethan & Scorpio have color coordinated gear while Darby rides through the desert with Sting. “It’s showtime.” Darby’s face paint now matches Sting’s, and he DIVES out onto Ethan and Scorpio! Direct hit into railing, Sting goes after Scorpio and RAMS him into railing! Darby stands on Ethan’s head on bare concrete! Then he JAMS the railing into Ethan while Sting is still throwing Scorpio around. Sting and Scorpio go up the ramp but Scorpio rakes Sting’s eyes! Ethan RAMS Darby into the apron, while Scorpio suplexes Sting to the ramp! But Sting pops right back up! Scorpio stands on the stack of chips, but he feels Sting breathing on his neck.

Scorpio turns around, Sting SHOVES Scorpio down onto Ethan! Sting takes off his shirt and LEAPS to CROSSBODY both men! The fans are going nuts over the Icon taking flight again! Darby gets Scorpio in, the bell rings and this is a match! Darby RAMS Scorpio into the corner, fires off hands, and fans chant, “You Still Got It!” Sting whips Darby into Scorpio over and over, then LAUNCHES him at Ethan, before whipping him into Scorpio again! Sting hits a BULLDOG! Sting looms over Scorpio, howls and the fans howl back! Sting wrenches Scorpio, tags Darby in, and Darby climbs up to drop ax handles on Scorpio’s arm.

Darby wrenches Scorpio’s arm again, Sting tags in, and he YANKS Scorpio’s arm. Sting wraps the arm around ropes, tags in Darby, and they mug Scorpio. Ethan protests but Darby WRINGS Scorpio out to get the Fujiwara! Scorpio fights up, powers up but Darby lands on his feet out of the suplex! Darby wristlocks, goes up the ropes, but Ethan trips him up! The ref reprimands Ethan while Darby hits the mat! Fans boo and Ethan shrugs like he did nothing wrong. Scorpio aims at Darby from the apron, and slingshots for the CUTTER! Ethan enjoys that but fans boo as Scorpio brushes off the face paint smudged on his chest.

Ethan tags in, talks trash to Sting, and gets Darby up. Ethan TOSSES Darby into the corner! Fans chant “Ego Sucks!” as he hauls Darby up to TOSS him into the other corner! Ethan soaks up the heat and Scorpio acts like he can’t be sure what he’s hearing. Ethan puts Darby in their corner, tags Scorpio in, and they both stomp Darby. Scorpio gets Darby up, snapmares him and scrapes soles on his face! Scorpio gets Darby up, Darby throws hands but Scorpio reels him in for a BACKBREAKER! Scorpio bends Darby back against his knee, but Darby bends Scorpio’s fingers! Ethan tags in, Scorpio anchors Darby and Ethan drops an elbow on him!

Ethan mocks Sting’s howl then gets Darby up for a suplex, high and hard! Ethan flexes and makes faces and Scorpio is amused. Darby sits up, Ethan puts him in the corner and Scorpio tags in. They mug Darby, Scorpio gets him up and whips him into the corner! Ethan claws at Darby while Scorpio taunts Sting. Darby fights back, Scorpio runs in and back suplexes, but Darby lands on his feet! Hot tag to Sting! Sting rallies on Ethan but Scorpio gets after him. Sting pushes Scorpio, but the ref says she didn’t see the tag?! Ethan and Scorpio used misdirection well, and now Scorpio drags Darby out of the ring and all around ringside!

Scorpio gets Darby up to throw him into the ring, tags in Ethan, and Ethan mockingly has Darby hold his hand out to Sting. Ethan then drags Darby up and gorilla presses, to TOSS Darby into the crowd!! Darby’s family become his crash pad and fans lose their minds! Sting checks on Darby, and has to drag him up and over. Ethan mockingly dares Sting to put Darby in and see what happens. Sting stands Darby up as the ring count climbs, but he isn’t sure what to do. Darby revives and gets in at 9.9!! Ethan is furious and he drags Darby to the corner. Ethan tells Sting this is what they get, and then gets Darby up to the crucifix. Darby kicks Scorpio and hooks the corner!

Darby gets to the top rope to fire off elbows on Ethan! Darby adjusts to get a SLEEPER! Ethan reaches for Scorpio but Darby traps his arms! Ethan powers up to RAM Darby into buckles! But Darby hits the THROWBACK STUNNER! Fans fire up, Darby hot tags Sting for real now! Scorpio runs in but Sting rallies on him! Sting whips Scorpio into Ethan, then whips him corner to corner. Sting hits the SPLASH on Scorpio! And a STINGER SPLASH on Ethan! Sting clotheslines Scorpio out, kicks Ethan low and goes up to hit a CODE RED!? Cover, TWO!! Fans are thunderous and Darby wants back in!?

Sting looks to Ethan, tags Darby in, and Darby climbs up. But Scorpio trips Darby up! Sting DECKS Scorpio but Ethan chop blocks Sting! Ethan stomps the bad leg, the ref reprimands but Ethan turns his attention to Darby. Ethan has the arms, to ICONOCLASM Darby onto Sting! Ethan then gets Darby back up, blows a kiss to Sting, and gets Darby up, but Sting trips Ethan! Sting has the SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! But Sting isn’t the legal man! That’s alright, Darby puts on the FUJIWARA! Scorpio gets in to get Darby’s leg for a HEEL HOOK! These are dueling submissions that don’t count, and yet Ethan and Darby are shouting at each other!

Ethan and Darby start SLAPPING each other!! And then gouging at each other’s eyes!! The ref reprimands Sting and Scorpio, they’re not the legal men! She’s counting, Sting and Scorpio let off at 4! Scorpio hurries away to his corner, and then Sting reluctantly goes back to his. Darby and Ethan are down, fans rally up, and both men crawl around. They find their corners, and hot tag Scorpio and Sting! The Icon stares down Scorpio, a man who was once a fan. They fire off haymakers, Scorpio kicks the bad leg and KICKS it again! “You’re done, Sting!” But Sting stays standing, and beats his chest! Sting whips, Scorpio avoids the splash! Slingshot, but no cutter! SCORPION DEATH DROP!! Cover, Sting & Darby win!!

AEW World Championship Triple Threat: Kenny Omega w/ Don Callis VS PAC VS Orange Cassidy!

From AAA to AEW to Impact, The Cleaner is becoming a belt collector, but “let’s call a spade a spade.” The Bastard has unfinished business with the Best Bout Machine, and he doesn’t exactly respect Freshly Squeezed. But the King of Sloth Style isn’t a novelty, he isn’t a gimmick, he isn’t a mascot, and he’s looking to prove that to the doubters tonight! No count outs, no disqualifications, no Champion’s Advantage for the man with more simultaneous championships than anyone in wrestling today! What are the odds that something wild will happen at Double or Nothing?

The introductions are made, AEW’s belt is raised, and we see who overcomes two opponents at once!

Pac storms at Omega and Omega gets in the ropes! The ref reminds him there are no DQ’s so ropebreaks don’t really save him. Omega shoves Pac, argues with the ref, and then sucker punches Cassidy! Pac goes after Omega, throws forearms with him, but Omega rakes eyes! Omega headlocks and grinds Pac, but Pac powers out, only for Omega to run him over! Pac kips up, so Omega shoves him again. Callis is back on commentary as Omega runs, redirects, but gets a BOOT from Pac! Pac runs, ducks and dodges, and DOUBLE CROSSBODIES collide! Cassidy pops back up and fans fire up as he surveys the situation. Cassidy slowly covers Pac, ONE! He covers Omega, ONE!

Cassidy argues the count but the ref says one is one. Not two? No, not two. Okay. Cassidy watches Omega and Pac gets up as fans cheer. Pac and Omega are both annoyed with Cassidy, and Cassidy shows hands up. Pac and Omega swing but Cassidy dodges, to DOUBLE RANA! Cassidy has Omega alone now, but he DIVES Pac into the wall! Cassidy gets back in to tilt-o-whirl DDT Omega down! Cover, TWO!! Omega barely escapes but Cassidy powers up his fist! Omega gets up, and RAMS into Cassidy! Cassidy clubs Omega but Pac BOOTS him! Pac gets Omega, slingshots up and over and RANAS him down!

Omega bails out and Pac hurries after, to MOONSAULT! Direct hit and Omega is down! Callis admits he’s afraid of Pac as Pac goes to Cassidy. “This is Awesome!” as Pac gets Cassidy up. Pac bumps Cassidy off buckles, digs his boots in, and doesn’t have to stop until he wants to! And he doesn’t want to, as he stands on Cassidy’s neck! Pac lets off since that still won’t win him anything, and goes to the corner. Pac climbs, watches like a hawk, and Cassidy stands to get a SHOTGUN missile dropkick! Cassidy ends up in the far corner! Pac scowls as he goes to the apron and he climbs another corner. Cassidy staggers up, but Omega runs in! Pac SHOTGUN missile dropkicks Omega!

Pac hurries back up, he watches both opponents, and gets a DOUBLE SHOTGUN MISSILE DROPKICK! And then he just kips right up! Pac digs his boots into Omega, lets off to whip him corner to corner, but Omega reverses. Pac runs into Cassidy, Omega run sin but Pac dodges. Omega hits Cassidy, BOOTS Pac, then puts Cassidy in ropes. Pac clubs Omega, whips but Omega reverses again to fireman’s carry! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” Rolling senton for Pac, DRAPING BACKSTABBER for Cassidy! Omega gets up and has fans fired up as he goes back to Pac. Omega drags Pac up, bumps him off buckles, then grinds his face on ropes!

Fans have the Terminator drums going as Omega drags Pac up to a BIG back suplex! Cover, ONE! Omega keeps his cool, paces around Pac, and drags him up to CHOP! Pac sneers, Omega CLUBS him on the back, to CHOP him again! Pac fires forearms in return! They brawl, Pac gets the edge again, then talks trash. Omega BOOTS Pac into buckles! Omega talks trash on Pac now, but he turns around into Cassidy’s victory roll! TWO, Cassidy runs but into a tilt-o-whirl BACKBREAKER! Omega drags Cassidy back up while Pac bails out. Omega CHOPS Cassidy, keeps him standing, and scoops for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!

Fans cheer as Cassidy gets to a corner. Omega is after him, gets him up and fans rally up. Omega mocks the Cassidy thumbs up then shoves Cassidy to ropes, to CLUB him on the back! Omega flexes, gets Cassidy up again, and repeats the shove. Cassidy holds ropes, elbows Omega, but Pac drags Cassidy out to fire forearms! Omega WRECKS them both with a dropkick! The Terminator Drums start again. Omega builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit onto both Cassidy and Pac! Omega has a wild look in his eyes as he gets back up. Omega gets Cassidy up, puts him in the ring, and says this is it! He gets Cassidy up to a suplex, for STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE!

Cassidy grits his teeth, he might be getting serious! Cassidy Alabama lifts but Omega sunset flips through! Cassidy sits on it, TWO! Omega sunset flips, TWO! Cassidy sits, TWO! Omega sunsets, TWO! Cassidy jackknifes, TWO as Omega gets one arm up! Cassidy pushes it back down, TWO as the other arm comes up! A third try, Omega bridges, but Pac 450 SPLASHES it apart!! All three men are sputtering from that sandwich they were just in, and the fans are losing their minds! Pac gets up first and goes to the apron. Pac springboards but Omega gets under and around, SNAP DRAGON! Cassidy runs in to victory roll, but Omega makes it a SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX!

Cassidy flounders, Omega gets Cassidy for another SNAP DRAGON! Omega loads up, takes aim, double BANG! V-TRIGGER for Cassidy! V-TRIGGER for- NO! Pac side steps to SNAP GERMAN! Omega wobbles, Pac SUPERKI- NO! Omega blocks the kick but not the BOOT! Pac runs, Cassidy is used as a shield, V-TRIGGER! Omega full nelsons but Pac breaks free! Pac aims, Omega ducks, SUPERKICK to Cassidy! Omega LARIATS Pac! Fans are thunderous as Omega has Pac in one corner and Cassidy in the other. Omega runs corner to corner to V-TRIGGER Cassidy in the back! “Up we go!” Omega hoists Cassidy up top, climbs up to join him, and wants the full nelson!

Cassidy resists the super dragon, Omega gets him to let go of the corner, but Cassidy powers up! TO PUT HIS HANDS IN HIS POCKETS!! Omega can’t get Cassidy off the corner, or hands out of pants! Pac joins in, to SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX Omega!! But Cassidy stays up top! He adjusts, and NO HANDS SWANTONS Pac on the outside! Cassidy goes in the ring, no-hands kips up, but Omega kicks low and reels Cassidy in, for a TIGER DRIVER 98! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and Callis protests the count but Omega gets Cassidy back up. Omega slashes the throat, but sees Pac returning. Pac punches and springboards but Omega catches him! ONE WINGED-

NO! Pac resists, so Omega hits COYT’S WRATH instead! Bridging cover, TWO!! Fans hope they “Fight Forever!” at this rate, but it has to end somehow! Omega brings knee pads down and sits Cassidy up. Omega slaps Cassidy around to then POINT-BLANK V-TRIGGER! He isn’t done, either, as he sits Cassidy up for another! Omega wags his fingers, he still isn’t done! Cassidy puts his hands up, and IN HIS POCKETS! Then flops over… Omega drags Cassidy up but Pac is back and he ROCKS Omega with forearms! Pac back kicks, runs, but Omega CHOPS! Omega boots then V-TRIGGERS! Omega runs, Cassidy pushes Pac out of the way, SNAP MICHINOKU on Omega!

But then Pac drags Cassidy up for a BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, TWO!?! Callis breathes easier as Cassidy survives and keeps Omega’s reign alive. Fans are loving “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for this one! Pac drags Cassidy up, puts him on the top rope, and climbs up to join him. Pac gets Cassidy up but Omega CLUBS Pac! Cassidy takes a tumble, Omega gets Pac in the Electric Chair! And then climbs the corner! But Pac turns it to a SUPER SUNSET BOMB! Omega staggers up and Pac puts him on the top rope now. Pac climbs up, to SUPER FALCON ARROW! Cassidy throws Pac out to cover Omega, TWO!!! Callis almost chokes on his spit and fans are going nuts, “That Was Three! That Was Three!”

Omega bails out, Pac gets back in, and Cassidy stands. These two stare down, and Cassidy unleashes the Shin Kicks! Pac LOW BLOWS! No DQ but totally not cool! Pac runs to FLY out onto Omega! The Fosbury Flop hits, and Pac goes up top! BLACK ARROW for Cassidy!! Cover, Omega barely breaks it in time! Omega drags Pac up, but Pac puts him in a corner to ROUNDHOUSE! Pac pushes Omega down into a drop zone, fans still say “This is Awesome!” as Pac goes back up. Callis says fans are sick, but Pac BLACK ARROW flops! Omega Electric Chair lifts, folds, but Pac fights again to have a STANDING BRUTALIZER!!

ORANGE PUNCH!! Omega falls against ropes, Pac falls to the floor! Cassidy gets Omega up, BEACH BREAK!!! Cover, TWO?!?!?! Omega survives and no one can believe it! Callis chuckles but fans are convinced “That Was Three,” too! Pac gets in and stomps Cassidy while Omega gets to an apron. Pac kicks but Cassidy blocks the low blow! Cassidy seems conflicted, but he doesn’t resort to returning the favor. Pac KNEES him for it, reels him in, and gets him up, only for Cassidy to slip out and ORANGE PUNCH! Omega returns but misses his V-Trigger, ORANGE PUNCH! Callis freaks out and storms off commentary!!

Fans are electric as Cassidy is finally fired up! Cassidy aims at Pac, ORANGE PUNCH!! Cover, but Callis drags the ref out!! The ref reprimands Callis and Callis argues with him, but Cassidy turns his eyes on the weasel! Callis runs away, Cassidy climbs up, but Omega anchors him! Cassidy kicks at Omega as fans curse out Callis. Omega climbs, throws hands, but Cassidy headbutts him! And again! And again! Omega wobbles, but Cassidy sends him down with another headbutt! Cassidy leaps, Pac blocks the Deep Impact to hit a NORTHERN LIGHTS! To BRUTALIZER! Omega hurries in and stomps Pac! Pac still holds on! So Omega attacks the ref!!

Fans are booing loud as ever as Omega resorts to a new low! Callis gives Omega the Impact belt to BELT SHOT Pac! Then he gets the AAA belt, to BELT SHOT Pac again! Omega reloads with the TNT belt, fans call BS, but Pac takes a THIRD BELT SHOT! Omega says he has one more in the arsenal, and Callis hands him the AEW World Championship! Pac flounders ,Omega loads up with #PrettyPlatinum, A FOURTH BELT SHOT!! Omega holds up his belts, but Cassidy ORANGE PUNCHES him down!! Cassidy flounders to the cover but the ref is still out cold! Wait, Aubrey gets in!! Cover, TWO!!??! Omega has the ghost pin, OMEGA WINS?!?!

Stadium Stampede 2: The Inner Circle VS The Pinnacle!

Chris Jericho and company challenged The Elite to this very match type last year, and did not win. They challenged MJF’s faction to Blood & Guts, and did not win. This rematch has some of the highest stakes possible, because if Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz lose again, they are no longer a faction! Will this be the end of the Inner Circle?

My Jerkoff- er, Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s limousine pulls right into TIAA Bank Field’s, well, field, and he hops out. He calls out Jericho and his boys, and wonders if they’re afraid of The Pinnacle. “You should be! Chris, do you remember when you told me the worst was yet to come? Well guess what? For the first time in your miserable life, you were right.” But Jericho didn’t know he was talking about tonight and talking about himself, because MJF swears tonight is the LAST night of the Inner Circle! “Because my name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and I’m better than you, and you know it!”

But the Inner Circle’s music hits, and they REPEL DOWN THE SCOREBOARD! Fans sing Judas for them as they descend onto the battlefield! MJF seems in disbelief, but the Inner Circle is ready for war. MJF hypes himself up as the Inner Circle walk down the bleachers, but where is the rest of the Pinnacle? MJF runs back inside his limo as the Inner Circle rush up to it. But there are other motors revving, and the Pinnacle rides in on FTR’s truck! MJF is staying safe in his limo while his minions battle for him! Wardlow and Hager, Spears and Sammy, Santana and Dax Harwood, Ortiz and Cash Wilder!

It is a scrap all around the field, mixing and matching, and Spears brings Sammy to the ring at the 50 yard line! Sammy tackles Spears in return, a bell rings and now Stadium Stampede begins! Sammy rains down hands, Spears turns it around to give hands back. Ortiz throws Cash into walls, while Wardlow and Hager avoid falling into a bonfire?! Spears whips Sammy to the apron but Sammy GAMANGIRIS! Sammy springboards and CUTTERS! Spears writhes but Sammy heads to the apron. Sammy KICKS Wardlow away, goes up top, and SHOOTING STARS! Spears moves, Sammy lands on his feet but runs into a BLUE THUNDER BOMB!

MJF creeps out, feeling confident now that he’s safe. But Jericho was waiting for him! The team leaders are alone, and MJF says, “Bring it, you piece o’ shit.” Jericho steps up and they brawl in the red zone! Jericho CLUBS MJF down, rains down fists, while Santana, Ortiz and FTR go up the bleachers. Cash throws dust in Santana’s eyes! Jericho opens the car trunk, MJF stops from being crushed by the door, and uses a FIRE EXTINGUISHER to blast Jericho in the face! MJF shouts, “Screw you, Jericho!” and runs away. Jericho, enraged, gives chase into the backstage area!

The brawling in the bleachers continues as Santana bowls Cash into chairs. Spears eggs Sammy on while Jericho and MJF run through the halls. MJF wants to talk this out but Jericho knocks him down! Jericho puts MJF in a trash bin and SMACKS him! MJF throws HOT COFFEE into Jericho’s face! Then SMACKS him with a landline phone! “Sorry, Chris can’t come to the phone right now, he’s too busy swallowing his own teeth!” MFJ DECKS Jericho, hangs up the phone, and claws Jericho’s eyes! “I’M THE GOAT NOW!!” Jericho gets away, and SHOUTS into a megaphone, right in MJF’s ears! Then Jericho has cookie sheets to CLAP MJF’s head!

Jericho gets MJF up, JABS him against the coffee station, then slides him on the wet floor. MJF goes under a table, but Jericho RAMS the table into him! Then SMACKS him with the wet floor sign! Jericho stalks MJF, has the trash bin again and SMACKS MJF around with it. Jericho drags MJF up, CLUBS him in the face, then chases him into the staff room! Jacksonville Jaguar fans cheer for seeing Charlie Strong and Urban Meyer. Jericho’s given a football, and he throws it at MJF! Then another one! Urban hands Jericho a spare laptop, and Jericho SMACKS MJF over and over with it! Hopefully that one wasn’t important. But then MJF rakes Jericho’s eyes!

MJF grabs a Jags helmet, but Jericho dodges! MJF whiffs, Jericho DECKS MJF! Jericho makes MJF take a seat, and wheels him into the other room, sending him flying into a table! Jericho wishes the Jags luck this season as he heads into that room. MFJ crawls and Jericho taunts him. Jericho gets MJF up but MJF punches the bad arm! MJF talks trash back but gets SMACKED by the rotating whiteboard! MJF crawls away again and Jericho tells him to run away like a bitch! Jericho throws things at MJF, MJF tries to throw them back, but Jericho tackles MJF through a door into the hall!

Wardlow and Hager brawl somewhere in the back! Wardlow smacks Hager off an AC unit, Hager kicks but Wardlow blocks to SPINEBUSTER Hager onto boxes! Wardlow then opens up the cold storage and throws Hager inside! But Hager stops the door from shutting, BOOTS Wardlow, but Wardlow uses water jugs to SMACK Hager around! Hager blocks, Wardlow kicks low and fireman’s carries! Hager slips off and shoves Wardlow at cold storage! They charge in, fight among the slabs of meat, but Wardlow has an icicle! Hager avoids the ice shank to SPINEBUSTER Wardlow! Hager throws Wardlow back out of the freezer, and SMACKS him with a plastic crate!

They brawl further in the warehouse, Hager fires off kicks and knees, then a big haymaker! Hager rushes Wardlow but he dodges, and Hager punches a mobile metal cabinet! Wardlow rams Hager with the cabinet! Wardlow gets Hager up to RAM him into the cabinet over and over, then DECKS him! Wardlow asks if Hager’s had enough yet, and Hager sits up. Wardlow DECKS him again! Hager flips Wardlow off! Wardlow KNEES Hager down! Wardlow catches his breath but Hager gets up. “Where you going?” Hager double dirty birds, so Wardlow runs and RAMS Hager through a wall and into the kitchen! “I told you, Hager!”

Sammy searches for Spears now and calls him out. Spears bangs on something, and Sammy sees Spears sits with the CHAIRS! All the chairs used for the stadium, and it’s a chair battle! Sammy ROCKS Spears, Spears mule kicks, and Sammy leaps off one chair for a FLYING FOREARM! Sammy sits up some chairs, but Spears headbutts! Sammy takes a seat and Spears BOOTS him down! They leave the chair room behind and Spears throws hands. Spears whips Sammy at a wall but Sammy runs up the wall, Eddy Gordo Kicks then fires off more hands! Spears shoves Sammy away, pops him up to the forklift, but Sammy FLYING RIDER KICKS, then swings to dropkick Spears!

Sammy lines up a shot, leaps, but Spears catches him! Spears pops Sammy around, to LAWN DART him into a garage door! Sammy clutches his head while Spears checks his face. Spears then sees some other items. Bolt cutters? No, no. Steel pipe? Nope. Baseball bat? No, that’s Jericho’s thing. Oh, of course! A chair! Spears swaggers over, but Sammy jumps in and KNEES Spears down! Spears staggers up and Sammy is after him again! They go into the warehouse and Spears RAMS Sammy into the scissor lift! Sammy knows those things a little too well… Spears staggers around, and finds extension cords! But so does Sammy, and he gets Spears first!!

Spears is turning purple but Sammy lets him go. Spears looks up and drags Spears onto crates. Sammy hammers away, then climbs up to the top of the shelving unit! Spears gets away so Sammy jumps down, only for Spears to SMACK him with a ladder! Sammy staggers and flounders, and Spears finds a pair of handcuffs?! Spears cuffs Sammy to the shelving unit! Spears says Sammy’s done, and leaves him behind. Spears calls out for his team, but Sammy finds the bolt cutters Spears threw away!

Apparently, Santana and Ortiz have followed FTR to one of the small clubs within Daily’s Place. They take bottles and SMASH them on the heads of the random guys getting in their way! FTR moves up, and they toss aside those getting in their way! They’re wrecking everyone that isn’t Pinnacle or Inner Circle, and then they sit at a table together? They have a toast, then DJ KONNAN plays a classic as the two top tier tag teams throw down! Dax and Ortiz, Santana and Cash, the brawl goes all over! The mad ball gets caught but Ortiz just tackles Dax! Ortiz digs his fingers into Dax’s face, and then SMACKS him with a drink tray! Cover, TWO!

Ortiz uses the drink tray to choke Dax! Konnan intercepts Tully’s cheap shot! Ortiz DECKS Tully! Santana says he’ll treat Tully like he did his boys! WOOD SPLINTER TO THE HEAD! FTR rushes in to hit back! Santana uses Cash’s own belt to LASH him! Dax uses chairs and tables but Ortiz stays up. They throw hands again, Santana LEAPS onto Cash to cover, TWO! Ortiz bowls Dax into trash cans! Ortiz grabs a trash can to SMACK Dax over and over and over! And over and over! And over and over! The can is distorted, but now Cash is throwing bottles at Ortiz! Santana returns to RAM Cash into the elevator doors! One opens up, they end up inside, and Santana stomps away on Cash!

Wardlow taunts Hager as he crawls around, and he KICKS him in the side. Wardlow grabs a wooden pallet and SLAMS it down, but Hager dodges! Hager uses the tackle dummies to throw Wardlow off, then ROCKS him! Wardlow throws Hager onto the back of a buggee, and gets up to dribble Hagger off its roof! Wardlow climbs up to join him, gets Hager up, but Hager fights off the bomb! LOW BLOW! No disqualifications! Hager gets Wardlow up for a CHOKE SLAM through shelving! Hager roars and stands tall! Then we go back to Jericho and MJF as they brawl through more of the office area.

MJF goes after the bad arm, but Jericho punches him away. MJF BOOTS Jericho, Jericho falls against a cardboard cut-out of Shahid Khan. Jericho dodges MJF’s punch, MJF hits wall! MJF clutches his bad hand, and Jericho says MJF’s in so much trouble. What? SMACK with the cut-out! Jericho stalks MJF but MJF literally slams a door on him! MJF takes Jericho’s bad arm, stretches it out along a desk, then SLAMS it! MJF stands on the arm! And STOMPS it! Jericho hobbles away but now MJF stalks him. MJF mocks Jericho but Jericho ROCKS him with a right hand! Jericho has a STAPLER! MJF begs for mercy, but Jericho STAPLES business cards to MJF’s head!! Then RIPS ’em off!

Jericho gets MJF up, and throws him over the boardroom table. Jericho goes around and runs, but into MJF’s TRIANGLE PUNCH! MJF and Jericho end up on the table, and MJF drags Jericho up! PILEDRIVER to the table!! Cover, TWO!!! Jericho survives and MJF is furious! MJF gets a claw hammer!? Why was that here? MJF gets Jericho’s arm, stretches it out and says this is what he gets! But Jericho BOPS MJF with a trash bin! Jericho opens up a closet, and finds Floyd the Baseball Bat! MJF rushes right into a BASE HIT! Jericho uses the bat to CHOKE MJF! And JAM him in the ribs!

Jericho bounces MJF off a desk, and tells MJF he really is an A-hole. Jericho RAMS MJF through glass! Jericho drags MJF back up and MJF is bleeding from the forehead! But Jericho isn’t done with MJF yet! Meanwhile, Spears is still looking for his teammates. But the Inner Circle Motorcycle Club is here! They chase Spears down the hallway! Spears knows what Sammy feels like now with last year’s golf cart! Back to Jericho, he’s dragging MJF out to the pavilion and bouncing him off bins. They’re heading towards Daily’s Place! Jericho BOOTS MJF further along, and the very back row of fans is seeing this up close and personal!

Jericho SMACKS MJF with signs, punches him down the stairs, and CROTCHES him on the railing! MJF tumbles, sputters, but Jericho gets him up. MJF SLAMS Jericho’s bad arm on railing! There goes the brace! Look out below for a free souvenir! MJF is going nuts as he tries to dump Jericho to the lower deck!! The ref reprimands, Jericho fights MJF off and BASHES him with a spotlight projector! Jericho drags MJF up into a POWERBOMB through a cart! Daily’s Place is thunderous as we see Spears running for Daily’s Place! He thinks he’s safe, but uh, Sammy has a GOLF CART! The tables have truly turned!!

Sammy chases Spears all the way down the ramp then RAMS him down! Sammy climbs the cart and fans are thunderous again as The Spanish God goes to ringside! Sammy gets a chair, chases Spears into the ring, but Spears fireman’s carries! Sammy gets free and to the apron, and GAMANGIRIS! Sammy springboards, into a CHAIR SHOT!! Cover, TWO!!! Sammy survives and Spears is shocked! “This is Awesome!” but far from over as Spears gets up. Spears goes back to the chair, watches Sammy rise, and then sits him up. He says, “You should’ve stayed down!” Sammy just flips him off! Spears aims, for a CHAIR SHOT!! Cover, TWO!?!? Sammy survives a headshot and Spears is in shock!

Fans are thunderous again but Sammy barely stirs. Spears gets the chair again, brings it over to a corner and wedges it in. Spears goes back to Sammy, drags him over, and looks to repeat the night the Pinnacle debuted. Fans rally for the Inner Circle and Sammy torture racks for GO TO HOSPITAL!! But he can’t make the cover as Spears flounders around! Sammy grits his teeth, throws off his vest, and stalks Spears to the chair! Sammy returns the favor, CHAIR SHOT CURB STOMP!!! Sammy goes up the corner, the fans fire up as he aims, SAMMY 630 SENTON!! Cover, the Inner Circle wins!!

Jericho, Santana, Ortiz and Hager find their way to the ring to celebrate with Sammy! They are united and victorious over their most hated enemies, and get to sing Judas along with the fans once again! Is this only the beginning of a brand new chapter for the Inner Circle?

My Thoughts:

Another awesome AEW PPV, and especially for the first one with a full crowd at Daily’s Place. All of the matches were great, though I will say a few of them felt like the outcomes were obvious before. The NWA Women’s Championship was not going to change hands with it being on the Buy-In, and it not being AEW’s place to decide that stuff anyway. Likewise, the AEW Women’s Championship was of course changing hands because Shida made it to one year, she had her moment on Dynamite, though admittedly a short moment. My only gripe with that match was it perhaps had one too many false finishes. I haven’t really felt that way about a match before, but it started to get that way here, like with Rebel smacking Britt and she somehow surviving. Other than that, Britt of course deserves to be champion after all the hard work she’s put in.

Sting & Darby were of course going to win, it’s STIIIIIIING~! But the match was awesome, and I did appreciate that, after I had said something about it for an AEW Dark/Elevation, Ethan & Scorpio now have matching gear. Ethan & Scorpio are likely still top five in the tag division rankings, and they need to bide their time while the Bucks are still Heels. I will say the Bucks VS Moxley & Kingston was awesome stuff, and for a second felt like it could’ve been Moxley’s & Kingston’s, but it did create a strong character beat for the Bucks to win because they stopped cheating and just did their moves. I like the detail of Kaz getting involved, I wonder if things circle back where Kaz joins Mox & Kingston in an anti-Elite trio.

Cody VS Ogogo was about as expected, with the wrestler winning because this is wrestling, but him going the extra mile to be AEW’s Captain America or something is the same stuff that turned some people off to Cody a couple weeks ago. The Memorial Day message and honoring veterans is appreciated, but no more “USA VS World” as a motivation for story, please. Miro VS Archer was great, but I feel a bit of story got lost because it was part of some kind of fan fest segment that I suppose was part of the countdown special on Saturday. Even so, the match was great, Miro gets heat for throwing a bag that obviously wouldn’t have a real snake in it, and I am a bit surprised he retained. Archer hasn’t gotten much at all since joining AEW, so I thought this was that night. Maybe he’ll get another shot at All Out or Full Gear, since both were already advertised for when and where.

A little surprised the Casino Battle Royal didn’t go first, but Hangman VS Cage was an awesome opener. I don’t think Cage losing because of Team Taz distracting him weakens Hangman, but I am wondering if this really does help Hangman get to the world title by All Out. The rift within Team Taz is growing, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the moment Starks is healthy, he has it out with Cage. The Casino Battle Royal was good, but I felt like it went really fast. Lio Rush is a great wild card, though obviously a lot of people were expecting a lot of other possibilities. Rush showing up strengthens the AEW NJPW relationship, so everyone shut up about WWE and NJPW, that was about Daniel Bryan.

Jungle Boy winning was the right choice. He is young and supremely popular, and no offense to Christian, but he’d give any of the three in the world title match a much better match than Christian. However, Omega was another of the guaranteed winners of that Triple Threat, especially with Callis nearby. The heat on Callis was nuclear and Cassidy got one hell of a showing. Omega VS JB in a couple weeks makes sense, and then maybe we get Omega VS Cassidy 1v1 for a top level Dynamite on the way to All Out. Omega VS Hangman is still going to be my pick for All Out 2021, bringing both their relationship and Hangman’s personal AEW story full circle, but Cassidy has to get something at some point.

Stadium Stampede 2 was awesome stuff, just like last year. They said it wasn’t going to be as goofy as last year, but it was still plenty goofy with the repelling off the TIAA titantron, the theatrical chair room moment, PNP and FTR beating up Dark stars pretending to be bar goers, and so much of Jericho VS MJF. Hager and Wardlow was the most serious fight of the four, with PNP VS FTR a good second. It was cool to see Konnan and all these other cameos, tough. But in the end, it was clear the Inner Circle would win because Pinnacle stood tall, and fans really like the Inner Circle. They have good chemistry, and it’s not like them being together prevents them from going for gold. If anything, they should be even more focused on that, with PNP going for tag, Hager and/or Sammy going for TNT and of course Jericho going for the world title again.
