Well… here we are. The final IMPACT before Slammiversary. With the World Title match becoming a No Disqualification match, all the Championships are on the line this Saturday and we are going to possibly get some names in the “Change Things Up” or more teasers to come but we still have a show to bring and let’s see what antics happen around this week’s IMPACT.

Review:

Tenille Dashwood & Kaleb vs Rachael Ellering & Jordynne Grace-

Jordynne and… Kaleb start this match up and Jordynne beats Kaleb in a knuckle lock and take it to the Kaleb early on before tagging Tenille in. Rachael gets in and starts taking it to Dashwood before Kaleb pulls Tenille out and try to leave but, the former tag champs pull them back in and double Spinebuster their opponents.

Ellering gets steam going but Kaleb distracters her and Tenille gets an advantage started, even tagging in Kaleb but that doesn’t go well at first but they get it going for a good amount of time… until Jordynne gets in and picks apart Kaleb. The action starts to pick up after a tag to Ellering as Kaleb superkicks Jordynne, Ellering does a slingblade to Kaleb, a Spotlight Kick from Tenille and finally a Spinebuster from Jordynne gets them all even.

The former tag champions however get things going for them and end it with an Assisted Blackhole Slam onto Kaleb.

Deonna Purrazzo is complaining about her contract having to sign without knowledge of her opponent. She is complaining that she is the best, every accolade she has been part of since she came to IMPACT. Scott basically puts her in the hot seat and she signs, trying to pull who it is. It’s just a giant HOT MESS and might even be ICONIC. Plus it is in Nashville so expect some HARDCORE COUNTRY to happen. Then as Scott leaves, Tommy says they don’t have the opponent signed yet so… good luck.

Tasha Steelz vs Havok-

Tasha, as always, starting with some trash talk before rolling out and keeps talking until Rosemary sneaks up and makes sure nothing tricky happens until Tasha rolls back in and runs into Havok again and goozles Tasha into the corner and takes firm control. Havok continues the beat down going from corner to corner until Tasha rolls out of the way and starts her beat down on the bigger opponent. Tasha gets a good amount of offense in but the hubris of the champs is always in the way and Havok comes back in a massive way. Even with a little bit of a comeback from Tasha, Havok goes ahead and lands a Tombstone Piledriver.

Kimber is waiting patiently outside of the door for James Mitchell and out comes… Susan?? Apparently the summon of Su Yung failed… until Susan pulls Kimber in and says she knows all about Su Yung and they go into the room.

Steve Maclin vs Kal Herro-

Steve goes for a quick German Suplex and says “This is it huh?”  taking it further and further to his opponent, showing off his aggression. He keeps questioning what’s going on and this is really the best IMPACT can bring him as he breaks his own pin attempt saying “You’re not going to quit like everyone has done to me.” Going to that dark place in every Marine has and does his deadlift Invert DDT to put away another helpless jobber.
Aftermath: Maclin grabs a microphone and says he is done waiting and wants better opponents.

Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Rohit Raju & Shera vs Josh Alexander, Trey , Chris Bey & Petey Williams-

Rohit and Petey start off and start it fast as always. Petey even attempts a Canadian Destroyer and lands a Leg Sweep before Ace Austin and Josh Alexander get tags in and get a slower pace and technical match going before Trey Miguel gets a tag from Josh and pick the pace up again.  Madman gets the tag in after some separation and the momentum swings to the other side as Rohit gets the next tag to take Trey down now. Shera gets the pin now, leaving Chris Bey to be the only one that hasn’t as a revolving door of tags comes in until Ace gets the tag back in. Trey with a quick burst of damage going and gets separation but Fulton comes in tobreak things up but after a little, Chris Bey gets the hot tag and takes it for all of his opponents in the ring until Fulton comes in and takes Bey out.

Everyone comes in now to land a signature move but in the end of it all, Chris Bey finessed his way to a win and rolls up to get the win.
Aftermath: The heels begin to beat down Chris Bey but everyone comes in, Ace brings a chair but gets caught and Chris Bey bashes everyone with the chair on the heel side. After the heels run out, Chris Bey takes down Trey and Josh Alexander with the chair before running out to be Team Bey.

Brian Myers has a microphone and asks Jake Something to come out but Jake comes out with Cardona to make sure we even the odds. Myers actually says Jake Something is a professional but… not a star. This whole thing breaks down and Jake takes it to Beele to eliminate him from the fight as Myers and Cardona fight it out. Matt Cardona hits an Unprettier and Tenille comes in to low blow Cardona for the advantage. (Man… we throwing former real life relationships here)

After a commercial break, Matt Cardona cuts a promo about what just happened. Scott D’Amore comes up and makes a match for Cardona at Slammiversary. Myers and Dashwood vs Cardona and a Female Wrestler. Man… this Pay-Per-View is turning into a HOT MESS.

Moose vs Hernandez –

Hernandez actually… taking it to Moose early which is surprising knowing how strong Moose is. Hernandez takes it to Moose pillar to post before getting it back in the ring and the strength of Moose takes down Hernandez and gets a Spear in to get the fast win.
Aftermath: Moose rolls out and grabs a chair from outside of the ring and wraps it around Hernandez’s leg before Sabin runs out and slugs it out with Moose, even hitting two Dragon Screw Leg Whips and looks to repay the favor by attempting to Pillmanize Moose but Moose runs quickly.

Willie Mack vs Fallah Bahh vs Doc Gallows vs Joe Doering

Willie Mack and Fallah take it to Joe and Doc and as Joe Doering rolls out, the other two take it to Doc until he rolls out and Willie and Fallah Too Sweet each other before giving each other a feeling out between each other until Doering and Gallows come back and take it to the good guys. Doc takes Willie out of the ring and Doering now removes Fallah from the match up as Doc makes chase of Willie and takes Fallah out now as Doering goes to the outside and takes it to Willie.

Fallah Bahh and Doc Gallows come in the ring again to slug fight each other and Fallah actually beats down Doc for a while until Joe comes in and fights Fallah, going outside of the ring and Doc now fights Willie Mack, taking it to Willie in the ring. Willie rolls away from and elbow attempt from Gallows but even though Doering comes in, he keeps fighting Willie and Fallah. Gallows and Doering finally taking to each other, inside and out as Doering gets the advantage during the exchange.

Fallah Bahh and Willie Mack fight inside the ring now, Fallah lands a Samoan Drop to Willie Mack as Doering returns and takes Fallah Bahh down with a heavy duty Lariat to end the match.

Final Thoughts-

And like that, we are headed to Slammiversary! It might not have been the best matches or anything but they built the story which is the only thing that drives me as a wrestling fan honestly. Now you probably noticed in my review some… words written in bold. That’s just some references they wanted to sprinkle in for who could “Change the Landscape” yet again. Hot Mess/Unprettier for Lauren Van Ess (Chelsea Green), Hardcore Country for Mickie James and of course Iconics which… I don’t think I need to explain who they are but, they sprinkled a lot of reference in leading up to Slammiversary.

Who will be the newest additions to the IMPACT Roster? Who will make the return or the debut that will shock everyone in the IMPACT Zone? Last year it was the return of Rich Swann from Injury and Eric Young in the World Championship Match but who will turn up this Saturday to make things interesting.
