“On October 29th, 2020, NXT UK brought you a match that the WWE Universe still speaks about. A match that was so intense, that it defined a brand, and it redefined brutality. Next week, we will finally see the long awaited rematch between NXT UK Champion, Walter, and Ilja Dragunov.” Walter is THE longest reigning champion in modern WWE, and has dominated the brand for over 800 days, defending the title both in the UK and the US. “Dragunov is an enigma, one of the most dedicated to ever enter the squared circle. Next week, the world will be watching NXT UK. And we are proud to bring you Walter Dragunov II!”
Sid Scala is already in the ring with Walter and Dragunov.
The Assistant GM welcomes us to BT Sports Studios, and as HHH said, the main event next week will be what is without question the most anticipated rematch in NXT UK history. Dragunov will once again challenge Walter for the NXT UK Championship. Scala reminds both men that there will be no physicality here tonight. At this time, Scala will have the press ask questions. Alex McCarthy of TalkSport leads off with a question for Walter. “Over 800 days, you’ve been NXT UK Champion. Do you believe that your historic championship reign is under threat?”
Walter says no, he does not believe his mission is under threat. Because the difference between him and Ilja is that Walter is in this for “the greater good.” Walter is in this for the reputation and tradition of this great sport. And every time he steps in the ring, it is an honor for him to represent pro-wrestling the way he and Imperium think it should be done. Ilja is a fantastic athlete, unlike anyone Walter has ever seen. “But he does not have the mental ability to step up to my level.” Walter will have to prove that again when they face off.
Next is BBC 1Xtra’s Ace, and he asks Dragunov about what he learned from that defeat in last October. “I’m not gonna lie, there’ve been some very, very dark days for me. Quite a rough time. If you step as a fighter into some matches, you lose and with the lesson learned, you get better. But failures like this… They just don’t hurt you like a strike or whatever. They keep something, like they hurt your mind. You can’t forget, you feel the pain and the memories haunt you.” Ilja has felt haunted, and he lost control. But he found himself again and he admits, Walter was right, he wasn’t ready to be on that level. He needed this time to prepare, and now he’s ready.
Alistair McGeorge for Metro.co.uk asks both men, with how highly the first match is still spoken of, what can we expect in this rematch? Ilja says that undoubtedly, you can expect brutality, violence, intensity. Everything like Ilja promised, and it has been that the first match “redefined violence.” But this rematch… People will forget what “violence” means because Walter VS Dragunov II will replace that word. The outcome will be different. Walter shouldn’t be arrogant, he should get over his god complex. Walter asks what Ilja said. Arrogant? Is Ilja calling Walter arrogant? What is Ilja talking about, redefining violence?
Every time Walter steps into the ring, he redefines this sport! And Ilja was just lucky enough to be part of it. Walter’s seen enough of Ilja being sad for himself. Ilja is a fraud! All show! Last time, Ilja realized he isn’t man enough. He is fantastic, but he is not on Walter’s level. And all this intensity, motivation, all of it, his character problems, it’s just a show. Ilja wants the attention to get into this position. That’s what Ilja does! Ilja gets emotional now as Walter demands he look at him. Walter warns Ilja that he isn’t taking this seriously. NXT UK is for superstars, not fakers! Ilja says he thought it was enough. He thought it was enough last time, he really did.
All his will, all his strength, all his stamina, it wasn’t enough. Ilja had respect for Walter, because every time they fought, Ilja got better. But all that respect, after what Walter did to Ilja with purpose, the respect is gone. All that is left is hate. Ilja hates Walter. Ilja gets up, says he hates Walter for making Ilja the way he is. For breaking something inside him. But Ilja promises to break Walter and walk out with the NXT UK Championship, or not at all. Walter and Ilja stare down as Scala backs off. They get face to face, Ilja keeps his cool while Walter is getting heated. Will this be an explosion of fire and fury when the bell rings?

Mark Andrews says it’s weird, he has like deja vu. Flash Morgan Webster agrees, because only a couple years ago, Andrews was fighting for a chance at the NXT UK Tag Team Championships in a singles match, and what happened? He won! Dani Luna is fired up, too, as it happened all over again. And next week, when Subculture is 2v2 with Pretty Deadly, history will repeat itself again. But the difference is this time is that they will be the first ever TWO TIME NXT UK Tag Team Champions! Dani makes sure to spray paint “2X” over the Subculture logo to make a point. Will Andrews & Webster score and get the gold back?

The Prestige and the Predator Hunter are finally reunited, and they’re after the man questioning their bond. The Babo surprisingly converted the British Born, Australian Raised and Canadian Trained Young Prince and added him to “the family.” Will the brothers in arms be #ReadyAndForward #AlwaysForward against Teoman’s Evil Eye?
The teams sort out and Carter wants Raja right away! Teoman steps up and so Smith goes right after him! Smith runs him over, fires off hands, and CLUBS Teoman around the ring! Teoman kicks low, throws forearms back and forth with Smith, but Smith ROCKS him with an uppercut! Smith whips, and JUMP KNEES Teoman down! Teoman gets to a corner but Smith fires off body shots! Smith shoves Teoman to ropes and ROCKS him with a forearm to the body! Smith gets Teoman up to whip but Teoman reverses. Smith blocks, Teoman kicks and tries again but Smith still blocks! Smith reels Teoman in for a pop-up and suplex! Teoman scrambles away to tag Raja!
Carter wants in and Raja dares him to tag. Smith tags Carter, and Carter fires off on Raja with body shots and clubbing forearms! Raja hits back, shoves, but Carter LEG LARIATS! Cover, Teoman breaks it! Carter runs Teoman off, but turns around into Raja’s SCRAPBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Raja gets Carter up, CLUBS him, tags in Teoman, and they mug Carter in the corner. Teoman throws kicks, stomps Carter down, but lets off as the ref counts. Teoman gets Carter up, snapmares and KICKS him in the back! Carter gets up to throw hands, but Teoman wrenches. Carter CLUBS away but Teoman body shots hard and low! And then KICKS an arm!
Teoman shoves Carter to the corner, tags in Raja, and they mug Carter more. Raja scrapes his laces off Carter’s face, then throws hands. Carter his back, Raja knees low! Teoman brings Carter up and suplexes for a BIG slam! Cover, TWO! Raja clamps onto Carter with a grounded cobra twist, CLUBS away on Carter’s ribs, but Carter fights up. Carter throws body shots, Raja CLUBS him right back down! Tag to Teoman, they stomp away on Carter together, but Raja exits as the ref counts. Teoman wrenches Carter’s arm, gets a hammerlock, then drops a knee on the shoulder! Tag to Raja and he stomps the bad arm! Raja gets Carter up to YANK the arm!
Tag back to Teoman, they stomp away on Carter again! Carter fires off body shots! He DECKS Teoman and DECKS Raja, then hurries for his corner! But Teoman CLOBBERS Carter before he can reach Smith! Teoman shoves Smith and eggs him on, then clamps onto Carter! He has the arm but Carter flails and moves around to resist the crossface! Teoman isolates the bad arm to STOMP it! Teoman shoves Carter away from Smith and tags Raja. Raja gets Carter up, fireman’s carries, but Carter fights free to EDDY GORDO! Tag to Teoman and he gets in to swin gon Smith! Smith avoids it, Carter gets around, hot tag! Smtih rallies on Teoman and Raja!
Smith fires fast hands on Teoman, then reels him in for a shoulder and a LARIAT! Raja runs in but is sent into buckles, and gets a LARIAT! Smith gets Teoman right up to a fireman’s carry and DEATH VALLEY BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Smith is still fired up as he stomps Teoman and gets him up. Teoman shoulders Smith, Smith fires off on him in a corner, but Teoman gets a BUCKLE SHOT! Raja tags in, Teoman baits Smith, Raja BACKSTABBERS! Teoman ENZIGURIS Smith into Raja’s POP-UP SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Smith survives and Carter calls to him! Raja gets up first and he gets Smith up. Smith back drops out of the suplex, hot tag to Carter!
Carter rallies on Raja, gets around but Raja standing switches. Carter elbows free, Raja shoves him but Carter slips out of the scrapbuster to waistlock and GERMAN SUPLEX! And SUPERKICK!! Cover, TWO!! Raja survives but Carter tags Smith in. Smith gets Raja up in the Electric Chair, Carter springboards in, DOOMSDAY CUTTER!! But Teoman drags Raja out before anyone can cover! Carter tags back in, Smith builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit and down go Teoman and Raja! Carter helps get Raja up and into the ring. Carter hurries to SCISSOR KICK! Smith grabs at Teoman but they get in! The ref reprimands but Teoman gets out, so Smith is caught.
Carter runs, but Teoman trips up his lionsault! Raja hurries to DECK Smith off the apron! Raja gets Carter for PAYDIRT! Teoman tags in, for the CROSSFACE! Carter taps, Teoman’s “family” wins!

NXT UK Media interviews Sid Scala.
Is there any word on the condition of A-Kid’s leg injury? None as of yet, but fingers crossed. A-Kid walks out of the medic’s office with a heavily wrapped leg. Scala asks AK his injury update, and AK says he’s sick and tired of Jordan Devlin, that’s the update. He wants Scala to talk with Johnny Saint to arrange a rematch as soon as AK is medically cleared. Scala says he and Saint will take it into consideration and AK gets angry. AK doesn’t want that, he needs to teach Devlin a lesson. AK needs thirty minutes to punish Devlin. AK wants an IRONMAN MATCH with Jordan Devlin! Scala promises he will take care of it. How long will we have to wait for this certified barn burner rematch?
Aoife Valkyrie speaks.
“I’ve learned all I need to learn about you, Jinny. You saw me lose to Meiko Satomura. Something you might never understand is that the best have short memories when it comes to failure.” Aoife will be the best, so to get to the time, she’s prepared to climb. But Jinny doesn’t seem like she is ready to even take off her high heels. Jinny only ever picks a fight when she thinks the odds are already in her favor. This time, Jinny’s declared war on the wrong person. Will Aoife cause a change in fortunes for the Spoiled Princess?

Pretty Deadly make sure we get a good look, and then Sam Stoker brings up how Lewis Howley took on Mark Andrews and “had it in the bag.” Subculture’s a bunch of weirdos! They attack Stoker, they distract Howley, that’s daylight robbery! Taking Andrews lightly was on Howley, but Mark getting his “reject pals” involved was Mark’s mistake! Pretty Deadly runs the tag division, the best team ever, everyone loves to see them! There’s no one like them! Subculture was the past for a reason. Now, this is Pretty Deadly! Howley likes Stoker’s fire, but will these two be put out when they take on the Modfather and the high-fiving, stage-diving, skateboarding, no-quit rockstar?
NXT UK Women’s Championship: Meiko Satomura VS Amale!
The Final Boss, the Best in the World, finally has a title in the WWE! And ironically, it is all because the French Hope took Xia Brookside out of the running! Amale wants to prove she should’ve been in Meiko’s position all along, but is that even possible? Or is she going to learn firsthand why Meiko IS a living legend?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if there’s any hope for the French Hope!
Amale and Meiko circle, tie up, and Meiko puts Amale against ropes. The ref counts the ropebreak as Amale shouts, but Meiko lets off to get a leg. Meiko KICKS Amale then circles with her again. They tie up, Meiko headlocks to the takeover, but Amale makes it a cover. ONE, and Meiko grinds the headlock. Amale fights up, Meiko shifts to a drop toehold then floats to a chinlock. Meiko grabs a leg for a bit of Bow ‘n’ Arrow, but then focuses on the leg into a figure four deathlock. Amale reaches, crawls, but can’t get to ropes, so she grabs Meiko’s hair! The ref reprimands as Amale thrashes Meiko around and gets free. Amale CLUBS then bumps Meiko off buckles, then snapmares to an armlock.
The ref counts as Amale is still holding hair! Amale lets go at 4, goes to bump Meiko off more buckles but Meiko blocks to elbow back! Meiko headlocks again, but Amale powers out. Meiko leaps for a FLYING SHOULDER! Cover, TWO! Meiko gets Amale up, snapmares her back down, then wraps on a chinbar. Meiko shifts through to a seated cobra twist! Amale endures so Meiko makes it a ghost pin, TWO! Meiko gets Amale up to bump her off buckles now. Meiko fires off forearms, whips but Amale reverses to then drop toehold Meiko into buckles! Amale stomps a mudhole, the ref stops her, and Amale gets mad. Amale SHOTGUN dropkicks Meiko down!
Amale drags Meiko to a cover, ONE!! Meiko is tough and Amale gets frustrated. Amale whips but Meiko reverses and reels Amale in for uppercuts! Meiko blocks Amale’s clothesline to wrench and KICK away, then wrench and SWEEP! Headstand knee drop! Cover, TWO! Meiko dares Amale to get up, and then she KICKS away on her! And throws forearms! Meiko keeps cool as Amale is showing her own toughness. Meiko KICKS Amale’s leg, Amale blocks and KNEES back! Meiko ends up in a corner, Amale runs around the world to BOOT WASH! Amale drags Meiko up, fisherman SCREW! Cover, TWO!! Meiko survives and Amale is losing her cool! Amale gets Meiko up but Meiko fires off forearms! Amale fires them all back! Amale whips, Meiko reverses direction to PELE! Meiko fires up and gets Amale up for a fireman’s carry. Amale fights free to BOOT Meiko down! Amale shouts, “STAY! DOWN!” Amale runs, into a ROUNDHOUSE! After the heated confrontation in the ring during the press conference, there was a physical altercation between Walter and Dragunov! Details are still coming in but it is confirmed that the NXT UK Champion has suffered a sever injury to the hand! The complication means that Walter VS Dragunov II will NOT be happening next week! NXT UK will keep everyone updated on this developing story.
However, what will be happening is an all new Supernova Sessions, with special guests, Jinny and Joseph Conners! Will the Spoiled Princess and her Righteous Knight have a response to Aoife Valkyrie calling her out?
NXT UK Heritage Cup: Tyler Bate w/ Trent Seven VS Mark Coffey w/ Wolfgang!
The Big Strong Boy knows Gallus likes to poke a lot of fun and play around, so Markus’ little jab to the cheek was shrugged off with a grin. But now things get serious, Bate is even willing to put up the cup for this one! Will Coffey earn big points in his friendly rivalry with Wolfie by taking out the first Triple Crown Champion to have held the NXT Tag Team Championships, NXT UK Championship and NXT UK Heritage Cup?
The introductions are made, the cup is raised, and we see if Markus can go the distance with Bate!
Round one begins, Bate and Mark circle, and they feel things out. They tie up, Coffey puts Bate on the ropes but lets off cleanly. They go again, another tie up, and Coffey wrenches and YANKS the arm. Coffey twists the wrist, Bate spins through to arm-drag, but Coffey blocks. Bate kips up and arm-drags after all, but Coffey holds onto the wristlock. Coffey cranks the arm, Bate rolls but Coffey keeps him down. Bate spins through to get up and knuckle lock. Bate wrenches Coffey’s arm now, but Coffey rolls, drops, and gets the legs. Bate tries to stay up but the toehold takes over. Bate gets the ropebreak, Coffey lets off cleanly again.
The two reset with just over a minute left, and the two tie up with knuckle locks. Coffey wrenches, has a wristlock, and he wrangles Bate down. Bate works his way up, goes up and over Coffey to get free, but Coffey goes to whip. Bate headlocks, Coffey powers out and the two ram shoulders. Bate keeps moving, leaps but into Coffey’s arms! Bate slips out of the toss, waistlocks, but Coffey switches. Bate arm-drags free, but Coffey reels him into headscissors. Bate kips free but Coffey arm-drags him now, only for Bate to make it a headlock! Last ten seconds as Coffey fights up, and he powers up to put Bate on the apron. Bate is saved by the bell as the round ends.
Bate: 0; Coffey: 0
Coffey lets off clean but does pat Bate on the cheek. Coffey goes to his corner and Wolfie helps him refresh. Bate keeps his cool off the little taunting, and he gets back in for round two.
Bate and Coffey tie up, Coffey wrenches to a hammerlock but Bate works on his exit. Bate slips through the hammerlock to put it on Coffey, but Coffey turns it back around on Bate. Coffey brings Bate to his knees, but Bate reaches back and gets up. Bate uses his leg to pry free, then wrenches Coffey to the hammerlock. But Coffey slips out to put it right back on Bate again! Bate moves around, Coffey wrangles him down, but Bate sits up. Bate reaches back, stands again, gets moving around, then flings Coffey off and out! Coffey comes back but into a dropkick! Coffey slides in but gets another dropkick! Bate eggs Coffey on, Coffey returns but Bate side steps to roll up, TWO!
Bate runs but Coffey catches the legs, only for Bate to use that for a body scissors takedown! Cover, Bate gets the first fall!!

Coffey is a bit frustrated but Wolfgang keeps him calm as the second round is already over. Bate is also ready, and we’re on to round three!
The two tie up, Coffey waistlocks and SLAMS Bate! Coffey headlocks, Bate fights up, but Coffey holds on tight. Bate throws body shots, powers out, but Coffey runs him over! Things keep moving, Bate RAMS into Coffey’s stomach! Bate whips, Coffey whips Bate away, Bate rebounds but into Coffey’s BACK DROP! Coffey drags Bate up to DECK him with a forearm! Coffey gets Bate up again, wrenches and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS! Cover, TWO, but Coffey still has an arm. Coffey reels Bate in to back suplex, but Bate lands on his feet! Bate boots from a corner but Coffey blocks it, only for Bate to reel him in for a KNEE! And a HARD right! Bate springboards, into an ENZIGURI!
Coffey runs to SLIDING UPPERCUT! Cover, Coffey scores a fall!

An even faster third and now we’re tied up at one apiece! The next fall wins it, will it end in round four?
Bate and Coffey go again, going around the ring, but Coffey corners Bate! Coffey fires off hands but Bate returns them! Bate uppercuts, headbutts low, then double knees! Roll up, TWO! Bate ROCKS Coffey with more EuroUppers, but Coffey deflects one to waistlock. Bate bucks the roll-up but Coffey boots the clothesline! Coffey reels Bate in for a back suplex to SIDE EFFECT! Cover, TWO! Wolfgang coaches Coffey and Coffey gets Bate up to half nelson. Bate resists, swings around, and gets a CRUCIFIX TAKEDOWN! TWO, Bate leap frogs to go up and under in the corner, and he catches Coffey for an EXPLODER! Coffey and Bate are both down but Bate kips up!
STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO!! Bate stays focused as he watches Coffey get up. Bate fireman’s carries, and gets the airplane spin going as we reach a minute left! Bate gets about a dozen rotations, maybe more like 20, but Coffey elbows free! Coffey staggers, half nelsons and SLAMS Bate down! But both men are down as we’re not at 30 seconds! Bate gets to a corner, Coffey runs in and clotheslines! Coffey goes up the corner and leaps, but Bate ducks the flying bulldog! BIG KNEE! Bate whips, Coffey reverses, Bate goes back up, but they COLLIDE head to head! Last 10 seconds tick away, both men are down as the round end!
Bate: 1; Coffey: 1
Wolfie wants Markus to get back up, and Coffey is even dizzier now than before. He and Bate do make it to their corners but this recovery period might not be enough. Bate and Coffey still say they’re ready, and we enter round five!
Bate trips Coffey, Coffey boots him away! Bate comes back but Coffey CLUBS him and POSTS him! Roll up, TWO!! Bate escapes but Coffey whips him to ropes, only for Bate to duck the gamangiri! Bop up, BANG!! Bate underhooks but Coffey powers out with a back drop! But Bate lands on his feet! Bate comes back, dodges, rebounds to LARIAT! Bate aims from a corner, ROLLING LIGER KICK! Bate gets Coffey up fast, underhooks to TYLER DRIVER 98!! Cover, Bate wins!!
Winner: Tyler Bate, by pinfall (still NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion)
The Big Strong Boy finds a way to finish it, with just over 2 minutes left in the fifth! Seven brings the cup over to Bate so he can celebrate, and Moustache Mountain keeps it civil with Gallus. Bate offers a handshake, Coffey takes it. Who’s next for Bate and the Heritage Cup? What will Wolfgang and Coffey look to do next in their own friendly back and forth?
My Thoughts:
A very good NXT UK, but the news we got was a little disappointing. After a great press conference style promo, the NXT UK Championship match was feeling even better than it already was. But then, with a kayfabe report about a fight backstage, we find that we’re not getting that match yet. That’s a big bummer given how big it would’ve made next week because of the tag titles also being on the line. We got good promos from Subculture and Pretty Deadly, but I feel like Dani’s spray paint can was running low. She didn’t really get a good 2 or X out of it, so I wonder if they used it to also do the huge Subculture reverse stencil style logo. That aside, the tag title match could go either way and it’ll be a great one.
We got a good promo from Aoife to further her match with Jinny. Maybe their match happens next week now without Walter VS Dragunov next week. We got a good promo from A-Kid about his injury. I love that he wants a 30 minute Ironman match with Devlin, but I feel like he needs to learn how to deliver anger better. He got mad enough to throw the crutch but his voice didn’t really change. If anything, he got quieter, like he was trying not to make a scene. But either way, Devlin VS AK in an Ironman is going to be badass. We got a very good tag match out of Smith & Carter VS Teoman & Raja, but it makes a lot of sense that the Heels win here to keep this story going.
I was a little surprised the women’s title went first, but turns out it was so the Heritage Cup could have some more time at the end. The women’s title was a great match and Amale definitely had her best match of NXT UK. Meiko retains, of course, she’s going to have a very strong, very long reign, but Amale is definitely going to be a solid upper midcard talent. The Heritage Cup match was great, too, and it was very creative with how they got to the falls, and even that double head collision to end the fourth was great. Bate retains, of course, giving Mark his first loss in this friendly with Wolfgang, I almost thought Wolfgang was going to ask for his chance. That could still happen, and I’m still curious as to where Moustache Mountain and Symbiosis are going, since we didn’t see even a hint of Eddie Dennis.

With the Rampaging Dragon going after THE IWGP Heavyweight Championship and Gene Blast defending his IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship for Wrestling Dontaku’s two day event, this is the last chance for momentum! Will the Unbound Company be golden going into Fukuoka? Or will The Prince and his United Empire conquer the day?
Callum taunts Takagi with the title, daring him to take it. Takagi doesn’t fall for the bait so the belt is put aside. The teams sort out, and after Unbound Company does their fist bump, Takagi calls Callum out. Callum steps up, but he does whisper something to Zane. Perhaps the Prince is planning ahead? The bell rings and the fans rally as Takagi and Callum circle. The crowd is split between the two as they feel things out. They knuckle lock, but then Zane CLOBBERS Takagi! Callum BLASTS Unbound Company’s corner, the plan already succeeding. Callum stomps Takagi, ROCKS him, then tags in Zane.
The fans rally as Callum & Zane double whip, but Takgai ducks the double lariat! Takagi waistlocks Zane, Zane switches, but Takagi BOOTS Callum. Takagi ELBOWS Zane, then sends Callum into Zane! Callum kicks Takagi for that, then whips, but Takagi reverses to HIP TOSS! Takagi LARIATS Callum up and out while the fans cheer. Zane grabs Takagi’s hair but Takagi KNEES low. Takagi runs, Zane hurdles and drops, to then DROPKICK! But Takagi rebounds to RUN Zane over! The fans cheer as Takagi is fired up already! “OI! OI! OI!” Takagi stands Zane up, but Zane scrambles away. Zane tags Francesco Akira, so Takagi tags Robbie X.
The fans rally as the two tie up, go around, and Akira cravats. Robbie flips through the snapmare, but Akira RUNS him over! Things speed up, Akira rolls over the dropdown, then RANAS, but Robbie handsprings through! The fans cheer, and Robbie eggs Akira on. Robbie dodges Akira to then ROCK, THROW, and slingshot SENTON! The fans cheer while Robbie covers, TWO! Robbie CHOPS Akira, then tags Taiji. Team Super Extreme double whip Akira to ropes, but Zane helps Akira stop at the ropes. Robbie runs up but Akira DUMPS him out! Akira then dodges Taiji to shove him and CALF KICK! Then The Empire attacks on the outside!
Callum brawls with Takagi as they go to the crowd! Takagi SMACKS Callum off a chair, and makes him take a seat! But then Callum KNEES in return, and SMACKS Takagi off a chair! Akira CHOKES Taiji using a fan’s umbrella, Jake CHOKES Yota using a fan’s rally towel! Akira even opens the umbrella as he digs it into Taiji! The ring count starts but Akira puts Taiji in the ring quickly. Callum POSTS Takagi! Akira clamps onto Taiji with a chinlock and grinds him down. The fans rally as Taiji endures and fights around. Jake swings the rally towel before he brings Yota back to ringside. Jake feeds Yota to Callum’s BOOT!
Taiji fights his way around, but Akira shifts to a dragon sleeper! Taiji still fights and makes the ROPEBREAK! Akira lets go while the fans applaud. Akira bumps Taiji off buckles, tags in Jake, and the Silent Jester digs his boot into Taiji’s neck! Callum argues with the ref but the ref still counts. Jake stops at 4, then he stomps Taiji. The Empire get their boots in there, but Takagi tries to counterattack. That only gets him mugged! Robbie tries to help but he also gets beat down. Callum grabs Milano Collection AT’s phone and threatens to smash Takagi with it! Milano begs he not, and Callum gives the phone back.
Jake drags Taiji up but Taiji fires body shots. Taiji fires haymakers but Jake kicks low! Jake lifts Taiji with both hands! But then Jake drops Taiji to let him sputter on the mat. Cocky cover, TWO! Jake drags Taiji up, KNEES him low, then whips him to ropes. Taiji handsprings and NEURALIZER KICKS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Taiji crawls, reaches out, and hot tags Yota! The fans fire up as Yota dodges Jake, kicks low, and reels him in. But Jake suplexes first! Yota slips free to shove Jake, then GENE TRIGGER! Akira runs up, but into a scoop and BACKBREAKER! Then Yota sends Akira into Callum, LARIAT DDT COMBO!
Zane kicks low, whips, but Yota pops Zane up to THROW him away! The fans cheer as Zane then ROCKS Jake and knocks him off the apron! Yota then builds speed to DIVE! Down goes Jake and the fans fire up again! Yota drags Jake up, puts him in the ring, and slingshots in, mostly showing off. The fans rally as Yota goes corner to corner for the STINGER SPLASH! Yota reels Jake in, but Jake suplexes again! Both men are down as the fans rally up, and Jake wrenches Yota to whip him into a corner. Yota staggers forward, into a BEARHUG! BELLY2BELLY! Cover, TWO! Yota survives but Jake powers up the hand!
Jake waits on Yota, Yota slowly rises, and Jake guzels! But Yota fights the choke slam! Yota runs, but Jake goes to the corner and CLBOBERS Yota! A very evil move from Jake, then he goes for the legs! Yota fights off the Boston Crab, then catches the lariat to the BACKBREAKER! FLATLINER! But Jake dodges the stomp! Jake back suplexes, but Yota lands out! Yota waistlocks, Jake switches, GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans rally as Jake aims, FACE BREAK- SUPERKICK! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Yota and Jake crawl, Takagi and Callum call each other out from the corners! Hot tags to Callum and Takagi!
The fans fire up as Takagi dodges, Callum blocks, then Callum whips. Takagi reverses, Callum ducks ‘n’ dodges, Takagi bypasses Callum by one, but Callum still BOOTS Takagi! Takagi rebounds to RUN Callum over, then scoop SLAM and SENTON! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as Takagi fires up, but Callum BOOTS Takagi before he can even start the catchphrase! Callum scuffs Takagi, eggs him on, then SPITS on him! Takagi eggs Callum on now so Callum fires more kicks. Callum KNEES Takagi again and again, but Takagi headbutts buckles! The fans fire up with the Dragon, but Callum SOBATS him down!
Callum smirks as Takagi sputters, then Callum pump handles?! MADE IN- NO, Takagi arm-drags free! Takagi then ELBOWS! JABS! YUKON- NO, Callum trips Takagi! Takagi dodge Excalibur to waistlock, but Callum ELBOWS free! Callum runs up, but into another ELBOW! Takagi reels Callum in, TORNADO DDT! Callum almost flips through, but he flops back down! The fans rally now as Takagi and Callum stir, and hot tag to Robbie! Robbie NO HAND HANDSPRINGS Zane & Akira down! Robbie fires off on Callum, then winds up, but Callum KNEES low! Callum whips, Robbie handsprings, dodges, and DROPKICKS!
Robbie handsprings again and the fans fire up! Robbie runs up in the corner but Callum dodges. Callum comes back, blocks a kick, but Robbie reels Callum in for an UPPERCUT! Robbie then goes up and out to springboard back in, MISSILE DROPKICK! High stack cover, TWO! Callum survives but the fans rally behind Robbie. Robbie drags Callum up, Taiji joins in, and they double whip. Callum grabs ropes, then ELBOWS Robbie! Taiji dodges, tilt-o-whirls, but Callum stops the DDT! Callum suplexes, but into STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! DREAMCAST KICK from Robbie! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up again as Robbie builds energy.
Robbie runs, handsprings, but Callum stops the cutter! Feed to Zane’s DROPKICK! Taiji kicks Zane, whips him to a corner, then runs up, but is put on the apron. Taiji RAMS Zane, springboards in, SEATED SENTON! Akira victory rolls for STOMP 182! Yota RUNS Akira over, Jake KNEES Yota down! Takagi gets Jake’s leg for a DRAGON SCREW! Takagi winds up and runs up on Callum. Callum BOOTS, ENZIGIRIS, then SUPER- NO, Takagi ducks it! Callum ROCKS Takagi with an elbow! Callum runs, but Takagi follows to LARIAT at the ropes! Takagi keeps going, PUMPING BOMBER collides with KISS THE CROWN! The fans fire up as Takagi stays on his feet!
Takagi brings Callum up for boxing elbows! Takagi then winds up, but Callum ROCKS, ROLLING ELBOWS, and- JAB! YUKON LARIAT! The fans fire up as Robbie then STANDING SHOOTING STARS! Cover, TWO! Robbie goes up, up, and X EX- NO, Callum dodges! But Robbie TIGER WALL KICKS! Matrix PELE! The fans fire up for Robbie as he handsprings, but the ref is used as a shield! KISS THE CROWN!! Message sent that anything Takagi can do, Callum can do, too! Callum then keeps mocking Takagi by sitting with the belt cross-legged, hands in prayer, then even gets in Takagi’s face with it. Takagi KNEES Callum then fires off forearms! Takagi hooks Callum up, but Callum wrenches out to HEEL KICK and springboard! OCSCUTTER 2.0!! Callum not only wins the match but he takes Takagi down! Will this be the same on May 4th for Wrestling Dontaku? Or will The Prince fail to slay the Rampaging Dragon when it is 1v1?
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Lumberjack Match: DOUKI VS Tiger Mask!
Japones Del Mal has been cheating and cheating and cheating and cheating ever since he got this title, and everyone’s head enough of it! But can the living legend of Junior Heavyweight wrestling serve justice one last time? Or will gambling against the House of Torture come back to bite him?
Representing Hontai as lumberjacks, we have Shota Umino, Toru Yano, Master Wato, Boltin Oleg, Aaron Wolf, and even special guest, Mistico. Considering Douki has everyone in the House of Torture ringside, it’s actually considerate that Sho joins commentary for the time being. He’s probably doing it just to annoy Yoh, who has been on commentary most of the night. President Hiroshi Tanahashi is here for the formal introductions, and to raise the belt. Win, lose or draw, we witness a historic chapter in a storied career!
The bell rings and naturally, all the fans cheer “TA-I-GA! TA-I-GA!” Douki brushes that off as he circles with Tiger, but then backs away to the ropes. The fans boo and Tiger protests, but Douki steps back inside. Douki and Tiger circle, feel things out, and Tiger SLAPS Douki! Douki runs up and goes for the mask! Red Shoes reprimands but the two go around the ropes. Douki CHOKES Tiger, stops as Red Shoes reprimands, then kicks low. Douki whips, Tiger reverses, but Douki slides out. Douki taunts Tiger, but forgets he’s on the Hontai side of the ring! Shota & Yano throw Douki back in! Douki shouts at them but Tiger waistlocks!
Douki SLAMS Tiger, flips him over, but Tiger kips up to arm-drag! Douki tumbles out and he spots Hontai creeping up already! Douki gets to the apron and tells them to back off! Tiger storms up and has a SLEEPER on the ropes! Tiger drags Douki into the ring like that, then sits him down. The fans cheer Tiger as he wraps the body scissors on, but Douki scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Red Shoes counts but Tiger lets go quickly. Tiger stomps Douki around, KICKS him at the ropes, then ROCKS him with a right hand. Tiger DECKS Douki, stalks him along the ropes, then ROCKS him again. Douki CLAWS Tiger’s eyes!
The fans boo and Red Shoes reprimands, but Douki runs, into a SOBAT! Douki bails out to the House’s side, and they shield him from the Hontai lumberjacks. Sho and Yoh even argue on commentary, but Yoshinobu Kanemaru drags Tiger out of the ring, right behind Red Shoes’ back! The fans boo as Kanemaru stomps away on Tiger, but Douki keeps Red Shoes distracted until Kanemaru puts Tiger back in. Douki drags Tiger up, TOSSES him back out, and then distracts Red Shoes so that the House can beat Tiger up! The blue buckle pad is even removed! Hontai rushes The House, they all brawl, and Tiger is saved.
Tiger drags himself up, but Douki drags him back into the ring. Douki whips Tiger into the bare buckles! Tiger slumps down in the corner, but Douki snapmares him. Douki vows to take the mask! The fans boo, Red Shoes reprimands, so Douki stops. Douki argues with Red Shoes, then drags Tiger up. Douki hoists Tiger to the top rope, then climbs up, to go after the mask! The fans boo again and Red Shoes reprimands, but Douki has loosened the strings! Red Shoes counts, Douki stops at 4, and Douki brings Tiger down from the corner. Tiger fires body shots and knees, but Douki knees low! Douki TOSSES Tiger back out!
The House swarms Tiger, and Ren JAMS Tiger with a chair! Kanemaru puts Tiger in, Douki covers, TWO! Tiger survives and the fans cheer, but Douki drags Tiger into a CAMEL CLUTCH! The fans rally as Tiger endures. Douki fishhooks Tiger but stops as Red Shoes reprimands. Tiger powers up as the fans cheer him on, and he pries an arm free! Tiger pushes his way around to the ROPEBREAK! Douki holds until Red Shoes counts 4, then takes his time bringing Tiger around. Douki slaps Tiger but Tiger fires body shots! Douki HELL STABS! Tiger goes to ropes. Douki runs up, but Tiger DUMPS him onto the House!
The fans cheer as Tiger gets some payback, and he builds speed to DIVE! Down goes The House again! The fans fire up as Tiger slowly rises back up. Tiger rolls inside, but where is Douki? He tries to run away, but Oleg & Wolf carry him back from the ramp! They throw him inside for Tiger to rain down fists! The fans cheer the ground ‘n’ pound, then the ARMBAR! Douki scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Tiger lets go, then SLAPS Douki! And SLAPS, SLAPS, SLAPS! Tiger whips, scoops, and BACKBREAKERS! Cover, TWO! Douki toughs it out but Tiger waits for him to sit up. Tiger then KICKS, and KICKS, but Douki blocks one!
Douki CLUBS the leg, but then Tiger catches his lariat, only for Douki to wrench through! Douki SHOVES Tiger into Red Shoes! Down goes Red Shoes, and Douki KNEES Tiger against the ropes! The House rushes the ring, and they BLAST Hontai before they can do anything! The fans boo but Dick Togo ELBOWS Tiger, followed by ELBOW, LARIAT, LARIAT, ELBOW, and Don Fale’s SPLASH! Don shoves Tiger down, Dick goes up, and they set Tiger up for the DICK CHOP! The fans boo but The House gets away with the whole bag of tricks! Cover, TWO!! Tiger survives and the fans cheer! Douki is annoyed, but he drags Tiger to the drop zone.
Douki goes to the corner and climbs up. But Tiger trips Douki up! Tiger then SMACKS Douki, climbs up, and goes to the very top! The fans cheer as Tiger underhooks, SUPER BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! The fans fire up while Douki writhes and flounders! Tiger catches his breath while the fans rally up again. Hontai coaches Tiger, the House coaches Douki, and both men go to corners. Tiger rises first, and he runs up on Douki, but Douku uses Red Shoes as a shield! The ROUNDHOUSE hits Red Shoes! Then Ren Narita gets in and beats up on Tiger! Oleg & Wolf rush in, they scrap with Ren and Fale, but Ren CLAWS Oleg’s eyes while Fale BODY BLOWS Wolf!
Fale & Ren whip the big men at each other, but Oleg & Wolf reverse! Fale RUNS Ren over, and then Wolf & Oleg DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE Fale down! The rest of the House rushes in, but so does the rest of Hontai! This time, Hontai clears The House, and the fans fire up as Msitico lines up a shot! SUPER CROSSBODY and down goes The House! But Red Shoes is in no shape, Young Lions carry him away. Tiger goes after Douki with the ROUNDHOUSE, then underhooks! TIGER DRIVER!! But no ref to count!! Marty hurries in, counts, TWO!! Douki survives because of the delay! The fans rally for Tiger as he rises up again.
Tiger drags Douki up and clamps on the chicken wing. CROSSFACE CHICKEN WING! But Dick SHOVES Wato into the ring to distract Marty! And that lets Yujiro PIMP CANE Tiger in the head!! Douki is saved again, and he drags Tiger into the ITALIAN STRETCH #32!! Tiger endures while the fans rally up, and Tiger fights his way over! ROPEBREAK!! The fans cheer as Tiger survives again! Marty counts and Douki lets go in frustration. The fans rally as hard as they can for “TA-I-GA! TA-I-GA!” Douki goes to the apron, lines up the shot, and slingshots, only for Tiger to dodge! Crucifix takedown, TWO! DISARMER!!
Douki endures as Tiger pulls on the mounted armbar! Douki kicks and flails, but Tiger shifts things around to the CHICKEN WING CROSSFACE!! Douki endures again, but The House gest on the apron! Hontai trips them all up, and Tanahashi says enough is enough! Take them away! Hontai drags The House from ringside under President’s orders! But Sho CLOBBERS Yoh on commentary! The lumberjack in the hole distracts the ref, right as Douki taps!! Tiger would’ve won! Tiger SMACKS Sho down! But Douki LOW- NO!! Tiger blocks the low blow to gut wrench and TOMBSTONE!!! Tiger isn’t done there, though!
Tiger chicken wings Douki, but Sho YANKS the ref out! TIGER SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, and SHO counts the pin, just to taunt Tiger with a blatant TWO! Tiger is furious but Sho kicks and CLUBS away on Tiger! The fans boo, but Sho reels Tiger in! Sho tucks the arms, but Yoh SUPERKICKS Sho! Sho tumbles out but Yoh PLANCHAS him down! And Yoh gets Marty back in the ring! The fans are thunderous as Tiger drags Douki back up, to BUZZSAW! Douki sputters but Tiger sits him up for another BUZZSAW! Tiger vows this is it, and he brings Douki back up. Chicken wings and- DOUKI BOOTS MARTY! LOW BLOW!!
Douki drags Tiger down for ITALIAN STRETCH #32!! Tiger endures but Douki puts on a lot of pressure! The fans rally even harder as Tiger rises again! Tiger fights his way over to the ROPEBREAK!! Douki is furious, but he still lets go at 4! Douki argues with the ref, but all to distract as Sho SMACKS Tiger with the “Black Mirror!” LOW BLOW on Yoh, then a SMACK with the mirror!! The fans boo as Murder Machine continues to tip the scales! ITALIAN STRETCH #32!!! Tiger endures, but he is OUT! DOUKI WINS!!
Winner: Douki, by submission (still IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion)
Tiger Mask let Douki have all his House members ringside, and that ultimately cost him! Tiger will never again be Junior Heavyweight Champion, will this loss be a stain on his legendary legacy?
As for Douki, he found another way to survive by the skin of his teeth. And once again, Tanahashi has to reluctantly hand this title over to the winner, despite all the injustice he witnessed with his own eyes. Douki gloats as he wears the belt, then takes the mic to say, “Tiger Mask… This is the power of GOD!” Douki laughs but the fans boo. “Hey, you guys are so annoying with this booing!” The fans only boo more, but Douki says from Desperado to Wato to Yoh, and now Tiger Mask, Douki’s had one hell of a year as champion! There’s not a single Junior Heavyweight who can beat him! The fans boo, knowing those were never truly 1v1.
Douki continues by saying he’s already shown that he is THE strongest Junior Heavyweight wrestler, so why should he, of all people, need to participate in Best of the Super Juniors to prove that he IS the best? Yes, that’s right! He doesn’t know who entered him without his permission, but Douki is NOT competing in BOSJ! Seriously? Douki says they can all decide who will be his next challenger. And do you know why? Not that you idiots would understand! But it’s because Douki is the GOD OF JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING! Douki drops the mic as he apparently drops out of the tournament. But will he regret not having a hand in his own fate?
My Thoughts:
A great Hizen no Kuni as part of the overall Road to Dontaku series. Apparently, they won’t be broadcasting the last two dates so no Road to Dontaku at all for my coverage this year. But even so, great stuff going into that Wrestling Dontaku two day event. With United Empire winning their Six Man Tag over Bishamon, feels like Khan & Henare should get their chance at the tag titles next, but I guess we’ll see. Great 8 Man Tag of Unbound Company VS United Empire. Sadly, with Gabe Kidd out, he can’t finish his feud with Yota Tsuji. Seems Andrade El Idolo gets a second chance from his loss at New Beginnings USA. I don’t think Yota is losing, though, he was likely meant to win against Gabe anyway so that NJPW could have something over AEW.
As for Callum, he stands tall both by taking the win and knocking Takagi down, and go-home math would say the challenger wins now. But I can’t recall how often NJPW follows such a formula, so maybe Callum still wins out at Dontaku. To be fair, Takagi felt like he was being put forward as a solid first defense for Callum’s reign as it was, so this was perhaps always meant to be. Plus, the G1 Climax is a little earlier this year, being more late Spring since it starts in May, and that’ll do a lot towards determining the challenger for perhaps Dominion or beyond.
Douki VS Tiger Mask was great, especially for a lumberjack match. Those automatically call for overbooking and shenanigans, so of course the House helped Douki survive. Douki saying he’s NOT in the BOSJ is rather surprising, but I suppose it works in character that he sees himself above all of that. At the very least, there’s no “golden tickets” owed if someone gets a win off him, which they might not anyway since House of Torture would just cheat every round. In fact, it cuts down on how much the House is gonna cheat since it’ll just be Sho and Kanemaru. That said, the door is wide open to who can win BOSJ now, for quite a lot of intrigue going into the next title match.

The NXT General Manager is with the heads of NXT management and wants to get right to the point. Ethan Page, Joe Hendry, Fatal Influence, Sol Ruca, Blake Monroe, and even Ricky Saints, all called up to Raw and SmackDown to make an impact there. Those are big shoes to fill, though, and Stone’s phone has been blowing up from all the talent. But he thinks it is time for some fresh faces, maybe even from Evolve and LFG. Bloom says they have a great crop of international talent looking for their chance. HBK says they’ve done what NXT does, they’ve been through this before many times. Now, Stone can put names on cards, put pictures on the board, and continue to take calls.
Or… He can throw a stick of dynamite into the locker rooms and see who runs out. Stone likes that bold approach. Things are about to change drastically, but who will show up while the others blow up?
NXT North American Championship: Myles Borne VS Saquon Shugars w/ DarkState!
Speaking of, we just saw Myles overcome a member of DarkState when he defeated Dion Lennox, but admittedly, The Sugar Man muddied the waters on that. But will it be clear that Myles will #NeverBreak? Or can Saquon redeem himself by taking this title for himself?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if nobody’s safe!
The bell rings and Saquon runs up! Myles dodges then fires hands! The fans rally for Myles as he UPPERCUTS again and again! Saquon flounders, but then he YANKS Myles! Myles stops from hitting ropes, but Saquon gets around for the NECK JACKER! Myles goes to a corner, Saquon runs up again, but Myles dodges again! Saquon tumbles off buckles, and Myles kicks him low. Myles reels Saquon in for the X-PLEX! The fans rally as Myles then deadlift GUT WRENCH PLEXES! Saquon tumbles again while the fans fire up. Myles storms up but Saquon BOOTS him! Saquon runs, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Saquon bails out and DarkState regroups.
But wait! Myles goes AIR BORNE! Down go Saquon & Osiris while the fans fire up! Myles puts Saquon in, but Cutler drags him out! Myles ROCKS Cutler, then he CHOPS Saquon! Myles ROCKS and whips but Saquon avoids the dropkick! Saquon grins and runs up to RAM Myles! Saquon climbs up, he rains down fists, but Myles carries him away! Atomic drop! And LARIAT! Then a wrench and hook, but Saquon hooks the ropes! Saquon turns things around on Myles to backslide him onto ropes! A unique hotshot to say the least, and then Saquon goes up, out, around, and he YANKS Myles into the crossbar!
The fans boo but Saquon skins the cat. Myles sputters, Saquon WRECKS him with a dropkick! Saquon wants after Myles but the ref backs him off! Saquon says screw that, and he goes up onto the desk! Saquon soaks up the heat while NXT goes picture in picture.
The ref checks Myles as he sputters, that crossbar he hit was exposed steel! Saquon still stands Myles up to SMACK him off the desk! Saquon drags Myles up and puts him in the ring for a KNEE DROP! Myles coughs and sputters again, but Saquon lines up another KNEE DROP! Saquon stalks Myles, brings him around, and JUMPING KNEE DROPS! Cover, TWO! Myles toughs it out but Saquon stays focused. Saquon drags Myles up, kicks him to a corner, then stomps a mudhole into him! The ref counts, Saquon stops at 4, and Myles sputters as he leans against the ropes. Saquon storms up but Myles fires body shots!
Saquon CLUBS Myles , turns him, but Myles turns neckbreaker into O’Conner Roll! TWO, and Saquon has the legs to drag Myles under the ropes! ROPE GUILLOTINE! Myles again sputters and coughs while Saquon looms over him. Saquond rags Myles to a cover, TWO! Myles tough sit out but Saquon clamps on with a chinlock. Myles endures, fights around, but Saquon KNEES him in the back! Myles goes to the apron, Saquon storms up, and Saquon ROCKS Myles with a right! Saquon turns Myles around, CLUBS away on his chest, then stops as the ref counts. Myles RAMS into Saquon, and NXT returns to single picture as Myles slingshots to sunset flip!
The fans rally and even duel as Saquon flails to stay up! Saquon breaks free, but Myles avoids the knee drop! Saquon hurries to headlock but Myles powers up, out, then drops down. Saquon hurdles over the backdrop, but turns around into a HIP TOSS! Myles still coughs, and Saquon UPPERCUTS him! Saquon KNEES Myles in the back and Myles is on the ropes! Saquon runs to BLINDSIDE LARIAT! Then slingshot LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Saquon clamps on with a chinlock and he grinds Myles down. The fans rally while Dion coaches Saquon on the squeeze. Myles fights up, but Saquon wrangles him again! Saquon adds a top wristlock into the hold!
The fans rally again and Myles fights back up. Myles fires body shots, then he runs up in the corner, but Saquon puts him up top! Saquon ENZIGIRIS, then mocks the fans cheering Myles. Saquon climbs up, he neck wrenches Myles, then goes to the very top! The fans rally as Saquon stands Myles up for a SUPER DUPER- CROSSBODY COUNTER!! Cover, TWO!! Saquon survives Myles turning this around and the fans fire up! The fans rally as both men rise, and Myles hobbles his way over to Saquon. But Saquon fights the dragon sleeper to victory roll! TWO, Myles has it, TWO! DROP- NO! Saquon blocks the kick, but Myles twists for a cradle, TWO!
Saquon hits a headlock takeover, Myles headscissors, but Saquon pushes to a jackknife bridge, TWO as Myles bridges up! Myles spins things to a backslide, TWO! Myles reels Saquon in, dodges the lariat, but Saquon UP KICKS while he skins the cat! But Myles DROPKICKS a mile high! The fans fire up as Saquon flops down! The fans fire up as Myles LARIATS again and again! Then EYE OF THE HURRICANE! Myles is all fire dup, kick and FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect, and now Dion gets on the apron! Myles swings on him but Dion gets back. Saquon clinches, EXPLODING NORTHERN LIGHTS!
Saquon rolls through to basement DROPKICK! Myles tumbles out, but DarkState argues with the ref? Saquon isn’t sure why, but that’s because Dion has a chair! Saquon shouts at him, “What’re you doing?! I’m trying to win!” The ref spots them both with the chair, and then Myles SHOVES Saquon into Dion! Then BACKDROP for Saquon! Myles SHOVES Dion into the steel steps! Myles slingshots for a BORNE AGAIN!! Cover, Myles wins!
Winner: Myles Borne, by pinfall (still NXT North American Champion)
Just as Saquon tried last week, Dion tried to put the fix in, and it all backfires! What is it going to take for DarkState to get back on the same page? As for Myles, Evolve’s Tristan Angels is here! And he tells Myles congratulations on another successful defense. It truly is very impressive. Now, if you’d allow him to introduce himself, he is Mr. England, Tristan Angels! The fans boo but he tells them, “Order, order! Do not let my good looks have you fooled. For I am here today as a courtesy to let you and all these people know that you will be seeing much, much more of Tristan Angels on NXT from here on out!”
Angels lives- OH NO, KAM HENDRIX ATTACKS! The fans boo as Kam gives Myles the KAMERA SHOT! Kam says he is about that action! NXT is now HIS show, because it’s showtime! Well, the opening left by the call-ups is already being filled, but who will prove they’re not just ready to Evolve, but to reign?
Wren Sinclair & Kendal Grey talk backstage.
The Women’s Speed Champion says first it was Kali Armstrong and Lizzy Rain, and now there’s Tristan Angels and Kam Hendrix! It’s all happening so fast! Kendal says yeah, but good thing for Wren is she’s built for Speed, right? Incoming new talents and she’s no longer the new kid on the block anymore. Kelani Jordan walks in and Kendal asks if she’s good. No, she’s not good. She’s staring at someone who got a two-part Chronicle when she doesn’t deserve it, and someone who has had multiple shots at THE NXT Women’s Championship when Lani hasn’t even gotten one! Not to mention, LANI tapped out Lola Vice, something not even Kendal could do. Lani is the one to beat!
Kendal asks about what happened when she faced Lola again. Oh, that’s right! Lani’s ass got knocked out in the Underground! Even though Kendal didn’t win at Stand & Deliver, she also didn’t get pinned, so she deserves her shot at Lola. Lani sighs and says oh, Wren, clueless as always. They both need to realize there are no such things as friends in NXT! Kendal will turn on Wren just like Charlie did. Oh? How about instead of worrying about the NXT Women’s Champion, you worry about this women’s champion? Lani says okay, they can face off, and Wren doesn’t even have to put up the title. Lani will settle for embarrassing Wren in front of Kendal, who better be ringside to watch.
Lani leaves, Kendal says Lani is just crazy. But will the Standout stand tall over Wren as she aims for Lola?

The fans cheer as THE NXT Champion makes his way to the ring, stoic and stone faced as usual. He already has a mic to say, “Now the more this place changes, the more it stays the same. And there’s only one thing that’s for certain in NXT, and that’s competitors, they come and go. But ever since I got into this building, I have been the constant. And now that I have this title, there isn’t a man on this roster who is tough enough to kick me off of this mountain!” The fans cheer for that, and Tony says that includes whoever sent him the little box last week. Some fans already ask, “What’s in the box~?!”
Tony says there are competitors from LFG and Evolve jumping Myles Borne, European talents stepping up, Keanu Carver side-eyeing him, but Tony’s more curious about that box. Now Tony ain’t stupid, he knows that wasn’t a gift. That was a warning. Wait! The lights go out! Then a blacklight turns out, and from the stage, a man in a hooded jacket walks down the ramp. The man steps into the ring, and the fans chant “EVIL! EVIL!” The man hands Tony a scroll, then reveals, it IS the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Evil! The scroll is actually a shirt, and on it is simply the kanji for war. Evil has made his declaration, but when and where will these two battle?
But wait, someone else is trying a sneak attack! Tony is quick to dodge, but then that man clinches and BELLY2BELLY! WAIT! That’s Tavion Heights! Tavion says he ain’t asking no more, he’s taking! He is after everything he deserves, and he deserves it all! But hold on, someone is adding insult to injury! MOONSAULT off the top rope! The fans here know him, but will the entire WWE Universe soon learn what is going on?
Shiloh Hill & Tatum Paxley are… somewhere in the woods…
And they’re looking down in a grave they dug. Tatum says, “Here lies the final resting ground for Blake Monroe here in NXT. May the cold darkness engulf her glamorous and narcissistic ways.” Shiloh likes those last words. Tatum says she didn’t want to do it, but Blake made her! Tatum had to end it! At least now they don’t have to hear Blake’s voice. Well, they don’t call it soundproof foam for nothing. RIGHT, BLAKE?! HAHA! But seriously, hopefully Blake’s soul finds peace wherever it winds up. Tatum says in a funny way, she does, too. It’s just… She feels like something comes over her when it comes to this title. Like she goes into survival mode.
Shiloh sits with Tatum and says that makes sense. Sometimes, when we work so hard for things, it feels like they become part of us. And when that thing is threatened, it feels like you’re threatened. Plus, Tatum is the kind of person who forms really strong attachments to things and people. That’s what makes her so fun to be around. Tatum says she never thought of it like that. She’ll figure it out later, but as for Shiloh, he has a big match with Saints! Yeah, he’s so excited! Biggest moment of his life! He’s watched every Ricky Saints match the past six months, even made a simulator to study how Saints strings his moves together. Wow, so cool!
Yeah, but it’s sad, though. It got super realistic, and now the virtual Ricky is a little lonely… But at least now, Shiloh knows what to do to win. But speaking of, he’d love to enjoy this scene… Tatum understands, he can go. Shiloh will kill it. No offense to the deceased here. Tatum says she’ll rest here a bit first. Tatum reclines back, holding her title tight. Will anyone ever stop #TuesdayAddams and her reign? Will #ToothlessAggression give the Absolute a proper sendoff before Saints goes to SmackDown?

The Disrespectfully Athletic was definitely disrespected when the entirety of Birthright made sure Lexis King would reign as WWE Speed Champion. And the Muscles from Brussels stepped up to help EK step up to these entitled brats in a 2v2 situation. But before the match, the Drama King himself gets a mic so he can speak. “Hey, there’s no such thing as a slow news day when you are the Fastest Man Alive! And I do have some news to share with y’all, some terrible, terrible news. And y’know, I just wanted to come out here and cheer on my brothers, because they were gonna put on a tag team classic that only generational talent can do.
“But unfortunately for EK, he’s gonna have to prosper all on his own tonight! Because his Belgian bud suffered from a little accident.” They cue up footage, and it was Arianna Grace selfie video vlogging BIRTHRIGHT BEATING DVD UP! Oh no~! The fans boo as they don’t even try to hide what they did! EK makes his entrance and he rushes the ring! EK dodges Lexis, SUPERKICKS Stacks, fires hands on Charlie & Uriah, then SUPERKICKS Lexis! But it’s still a numbers game! WAIT! Sean Legacy is here! #SuperSean rushes the ring to throw hands on Birthright! Things are evening out now, and they TOSS Birthright out! Then they SLIDE Stacks onto the pile!
The fans fire up as legacy is 100% and ready to roll! The ref slides in, and as they say, card subject to change! Birthright is riled up so they’re more than willing to take this fight! Will Prosper & Legacy make sure Birthright gets what they deserve?

Stacks rushes in, the bell rings, and Sean dodges to headlock. Stacks powers up and out, Legacy rolls through the hip toss, then trips Stacks up for a DOUBLE STOMP! And DROPKICK! The fans fire up with Legacy and he whips Stacks to ropes. Uriah sneaks the tag, Stacks sunset flips but Legacy stays up. But then Legacy lets himself roll back to avoid Uriah’s lariat! Legacy blocks Uriah’s kick, hands it to Stacks, then he SUPERKICKS Stacks! Then a GERMAN SUPLEX for Uriah! The fans fire up as Legacy stands Uriah up, CHOPS him, and CHOPS again! Uriah sputters but Legacy snapmares for a KICK to the back! Cover, TWO!
Legacy keeps Uriah from his corner, brings him over to EK and EK tags in. EK goes up, up, and DOUBLE STOMPS Uriah on the back! The fans fire up as EK headlocks but Uriah powers out. Stacks tags in, they drop down and hurdle, but EK ducks the double lariat to NO HAND HANDSPRING! Birthright dodges, but EK comes back to DOUBLE DROPKICK! The fans fire up with EK, and he runs up on Uriah. Uriah puts him on the apron, Stacks trips EK up, and EK hits apron! Uriah BLASTS legacy , then he DIVES! Down goes EK, and then Stacks PLANCHAS! The fans boo but Birthright proves they can fly! They also stand tall while NXT goes to break.
NXT returns as the fans rally for Legacy, but Uriah drags him up. Uriah stomps Legacy back down, kicks him around, and talks trash while he does. Uriah then stands Legacy up to CHOP! Uriah runs up, Legacy puts him on the apron, but Uriah ROCKS him! Uriah goes up but Legacy GAMANGIRIS! The fans rally as Legacy climbs, but Uriah fires body shots! Uriah goes up, calls his shot, but Legacy SUPER BACKDROPS him! Then QUEBRADA into the SAVING GRACE! Both men are down but the fans fire up again! Legacy and Uriah crawl, hot tags to Stacks and EK! The fans fire up as Prosper somersaults to NECKBREAKER DROP Stacks!
EK dodges Uriah to ENZIGIRI! Then he runs up on Stacks, blocks a boot, and DROPKICKS! The fans fire up as EK wrenches Uriah, kicks off Stacks, TORNADO DDT on Uriah! But then Birthright attacks, the sore losers! The fans boo but it is a 4v2 mugging! Lexis has them set EK up while Stacks holds Legacy back. Lexis throws hands, but wait! TATE WILDER is here?! And he goes up, up, and away with a DOUBLE MISSLE DROPKICK! The Modern Day Cowboy then SLINGBLADES Lexis! Wilder fires off hands, then he TOSSES Stacks! Legacy has Dempsey while Wilder DOUBLE SHOOTING STAR ATTACKS Birthright on the outside! Legacy TOSSES Dempsey, Lexis scrambles around, and security rushes out here before this gets any wilder than it already is! But has Birthright found out they can’t just do what they want when they want?
The women’s locker room is buzzing.
Thea Hail wonders with all the faces we’re seeing for the men, and with Fatal Influence on SmackDown, will some new ladies show up? Jaida Parker says NXT is literally anyone’s for the taking, so who knows. Meanwhile, Kali Armstrong walks in and asks why everyone’s worried. Jaida says they’re not worried, they’re just unsure. Kali says oh, Jaida Parker is scared of a little competition. What was that? Kali says Jaida is scared! Oh, okay, that’s what Jaida thought she said. But Jaida ain’t ever scared, so Kali better tread lightly. Or what?! Thea says she wouldn’t do that, Kali. Uh, ain’t nobody asked you!
Kali says that’s the problem with the NXT Women’s Division. Kali is gonna be THE difference maker up in here! And if that has to start with checking Jaida, then so be it. Jaida says okay, we’re having none of that. Jaida stands up, Kali steps up, but the rest of the women step in so this doesn’t get physical. But to the point, with all this change, who pulls ahead as the new alpha female of NXT?

Suit Man Stone tells Tate he is “throwing caution to the wind, you look fired up.” They shake hands as Wilder says heck yeah, he’s fired up! Time to let him loose! Then welcome to NXT. Wilder heads out, Lola steps in, and Lola says if Izzi Dame wants to play games, them Lola is about to knock her ass out! The NXT Women’s Champion goes right to gorilla and makes her entrance! The fans cheer as the Mayor of Vice City goes right to the ring, grabs a mic, and tells Izzi, “Last week, you said The Culling was always two steps ahead. You blindsided me, and you think you did your big one. You think you had your moment.”
But Izzi, Lola feels sorry for you! Because Izzi can’t do anything on her own, and the moment she does, she is getting knocked out! Lola is here in this ring, no waiting, no hiding, and she wants Izzi to come out here so everyone can see what Lola’s about to do to her! The fans cheer, and Lola says she already told us she was gonna be the realest champion this place has ever seen! No excuses, just a straight up fight! So Izzi, mama, show her what you got! But Shawn Spears responds on the tron. “Hola, Lola. You really didn’t think this through, did you? Especially after what happened last week. But listen, champ, some free advice.
“If you’re looking to hang on to your NXT Women’s Championship, then you need to stay one step ahead, just like The Culling always is. One. Step. Ahead.” And yes, The Culling is now in the ring behind Lola! Lola says oh, looks like they got her again. Or did they? MR. IGUANA slides out from under the ring, La Yesca in mouth! The fans fire up as Iguana SMACKS Niko with Yesca, then throws her to Izzi! Izzi freaks out while Lola SOBATS Niko! Then SUPERKICK! Iguana RANAS Niko while Lola ROUNDHOUSES Izzi! The Culling is scurrying away as THE AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions are here! Will this dynamic duo teach The Culling a thing or two?
DarkState regroups.
Osiris tries to keep Dion calm, but Saquon is heated. What were they doing?! Is this what Dion wanted? Dion must be real happy now, huh? Dion says no, he was genuinely trying to help out. Saquon says he didn’t need it, fool! Just cuz Dion couldn’t get the job done last week… Oh, now Saquon’s making this personal? Saquon can’t seriously believe Dion would cost him gold on purpose! Saquon says he doesn’t know what to believe, Dion has been acting real weird as of late! Dion says don’t act like Dion never put Saquon on game. Dion gave Saquon HIS tag title, didn’t he? Oh, yeah, a participation trophy, real nice!
Cutler shouts at them both to shut up! They did it Dion’s way, they did it Saquon’s way, and it didn’t work out! Just give it up! Osiris says Dion & Saquon need to get their heads out their asses, that’s why they’re dropping the ball. Now, here’s a new plan. The first gold was tag gold, so let’s go get that back. Cutler & Osiris head out, Dion & Saquon cool off. Will starting from square one be just the thing for DarkState to survive?

The newest star of NXT and the lover of all things heavy metal makes her entrance as she says, “Scream for me, NXT! Lizzy Rain is bringing heavy metal tonight! And the world is about to find out that Lizzy Rain and heavy metal will never, ever DIE!” The fans cheer the rock ‘n’ roll, but Lizzy is going up against #BigKatKita and her love of hip hop. Will this battle of the genres turn out alright for Lizzy? Or will she fail to top the charts in her debut?
The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally as the two tie up, go around, and Lyons KNEES low. Lyons THROWS Lizzy by her hair, then swaggers, only for Lizzy to kip up! The fans cheer as Lizzy dodges then THROWS Lyons by her mane! Lizzy runs up to CHOP, then she reels Lyons in. Lyons fights the suplex wrench and BODY BLOW! Lizzy dodges the lariat to springboard and BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up as Lizzy ELBOWS in the corner, then goes up, up, and BOOTS! Lizzy leaps, but Lyons catches her! Lyons grins, swings, and SLAMS Lizzy down! Lizzy sputters, Lyons roars, HEEL KICK!! Lyons rains down forearms!
The fans are torn but then Lyons YAM SLAMS! Lizzy sputters away but the fans rally up. Lyons runs in at the corner, JUMP PUNCH! Lyons then tells Lizzy that if she wants to head bang, let’s head bang! Lyons dribbles Lizzy’s head off buckles! The ref counts, Lyons mocks the rockstar, but Lizzy CHOPS! Lyons BODY BLOWS, then she SCRAPES Lizzy’s face off ropes! The fans cheer, “Make It Rain!” Lyons says shut up! But Lizzy CHOPS Lyons’ leg! Lyons CHOPS Lizzy, KICKS her down, then covers, TWO! Lyons is frustrated but she clamps on with a half nelson, then the COBRA CLUTCH! The fans rally as Lizzy endures.

Myles Borne and Tavion Heights talk backstage.
Myles asks what the heck was that! Which part? Myles getting dropped by Kam Hendrix or Tavion dropping Tony D? Myles says he will handle Kam, but he wants to know why Tavion attacked Tony. Uh, that’s Tavion getting his opportunity! That’s him kicking down the door. But that’s not like Tavion. Oh, so Tavion can’t shine with Myles? The spotlight ain’t big enough for the both of them? As if it wasn’t exactly the same thing Myles did to Ethan. But no, now that Myles has a title, he’s gonna act different. Myles says let’s not do that. What he’s saying is, that caught him by surprise. But Tavion is right, NXT is prime for the taking. There are guys coming from all over!
Like that Tristan Angels guy, Kam Hendrix, and that big guy hitting a moonsault! Tavion says add him to the list, champ. Tavion heads out, but Keanu steps in. Keanu says he told Tony, and now he tells Myles, this place is full of sharks, and they’re circling. And you are looking at the Great White. Keanu heads back out, will Myles have to watch his back from now on?
Vanity Project meets up backstage.
Jackson Drake says, “Beep, beep, beep, beep, birthday alert!” Drake pats Ricky Smokes on the shoulder and Smokes says thanks, guys. But just so they know, Drake says things are looking up. And not just cuz Miss Micah’s tall, heh heh. Brad Baylor says yeah, the reality of it is, NXT is changing. Everyone knows Smokes & Brad have the tag division on lock, so now it is Drake’s chance to stand out. For real! New people jumping railings, out of the sky, dudes offering gifts for title shots?! What?! Drake says now he has Micah. Ever since last week, he just feels he’s on top of the world! No one can touch them! He can take on anything! He’s in there like swimwear!
But then Jasper Troy steps in. The MonStar says, “Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. Jackson, you’ve got a wide mouth, but not much to show for it. Luckily, your boys have these tag titles. You’re focused on dating apps, you should be focused on gold.” Drake asks what Troy just said, and Troy says someone just got rage baited. If he wants a date so bad, Drake VS Troy in the ring, next week. Troy leaves, Swipe Right says chill. But will Dr. Thirst be able to take a bite out of big bad Troy? Or will Drake be the one facing heartbreak while Troy heads for a title?
Kelani Jordan VS Wren Sinclair w/ Kendal Grey!
The Standout continues to mouth off, but she’s also ready to throw down! Will she score a win on the WWE Women’s Speed Champion? Or will the #WrenQCC prove they’re ready for bigger and better?
NXT returns as Wren makes her entrance, Kendal following. The bell rings and the two tie up, Lani waistlocks and SLAMS Wren down, then floats all over her. Lani rear mounts, then talks trash by saying she knows how to wrestle, too. They tie up again, but now Wren waistlocks. Wren half nelsons Lani, spins her, but Lani powers out of the cravat. Lani runs up, goes for a roll-up, but Wren sits on it! TWO and Lani sunset flips it! TWO and Wren sits on the cover, ONE! Wren runs back up but into a shove! Lani talks trash, but Wren TACKLES Lani! Wren then turns Lani over, hooks up the legs, and scissors a leg for a modified toehold!
The fans rally as Lani endures, but Lani reaches back to headlock. Wren slips free to hammerlock, but Lani fights to her feet. Lani ELBOWS free, then headlocks. Lani hits the takeover, but Wren powers her way tot he headscissors. The fans rally but Lani kips up, only for Wren to wrangle her back down! Lani kips free again, cartwheels, but ends up back in the headscissor hold! Lani kips up again, but is brought right back down! Lani flips over, has Wren’s leg, but Wren floats to a headlock. Lani fights up again, powers out, but Wren RUNS her over! Things keep moving, Lani drops down then hurdles over, only for Wren to catch Lani to a cover, TWO! Lani has Wren again, TWO!
Both women scramble up, Lani dodges to slingshot arm-drag! Wren staggers up into a DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Lani is frustrated, but she brings Wren up to CLUB her down! And CLUB her again! Lani bumps Wren off buckles, stomps a mudhole in, but the ref counts. Lani stops at 4 and Kendal coaches Wren. Lani storms back up but Wren BODY BLOWS! Lani CLUBS Wren down for that, then stands her up. Lani goes to buckle bump but Wren blocks! Wren ELBOWS Lani, then whips Lani to ropes. Lani reverses, Wren RUNS her over, then things keep moving! Basement BULLDOG! Cover, TWO!
Lani stays in this but Wren stays focused. The fans rally as Wren runs up in the corner, but Lani dodges! Lani comes back, but she blocks boots to put Wren int he ropes! Lani CLUBS Wren, then goes up, but Wren avoids the guillotine leg drop! Wren ROCKS Lani, then SOBATS! Lani tumbles to the floor, Wren takes aim, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! The fans fire up for Wren but she hobbles as she stands back up. Wren says she’s fine but we’ll see, as NXT goes picture in picture.
Wren hobbles after Lani, drags her up, and puts her in the ring. Wren rolls in, then runs to tilt-o-whirl and IRON OCTOPUS! Lani endures as Wren pulls on the arm! Lani manages to power her way through and dump Wren, but Wren sunset flips it! TWO, and Lani goes to a corner. Wren storms up, whips corner to corner, but Lani reverses. Wren goes up, but Lani blocks the over to THROW Wren down! Wren writhes and clutches her knee, but Lani pushes her down. Lani stomps away on the bad leg, then DDTS the foot! Wren writhes more but Lani steps on her leg. Lani puts Wren’s leg on the ropes to stand on it again!
The ref counts, Lani stops at 4, then stalks Wren. Lani drags Wren around, hooks the leg up, and SNAP LOCKS it! Wren writhes again but Lani just soaks up the heat. Lani drags Wren around, steps through, and has a standing toehold! Lani endures, keeps her shoulders up, and Kendal coaches her. Wren moves around, kicks at Lani with the free leg, and kicks her way free! Lani hurries back but Wren BODY BLOWS! And BODY BLOWS! And BODY BLOWS again! Lani sputters but Wren whips her to ropes. Lani reverses to kick the bad leg out! Lani then drags Wren back up for a SHIN BREAKER! Wren falls and writhes while Lani soaks up more heat.
Lani drags Wren, snapmares, and she twists the bad leg. Wren endures as she moves around again, and NXT returns to single picture. Lani keeps on the toehold but Wren kicks and kicks and kicks free again! Wren then catches Lani to a cradle, TWO! Lani pulls Wren’s hair, lifts, but Wren sunset flips! TWO, and Lani CHOP BLOCKS the leg! Wren writhes again but Lani doesn’t stop. Lani steps over on the bad leg, but Wren BOOTS her out of the ring! Wren hobbles but Lani is back! Wren jumps the chop block to CHOP Lani! And CHOP again! The fans fire up as Wren DOUBLE CHOPS! And LARIATS! Then she dodges a shot to LARIAT Lani again!
The fans fire up with Wren as she shakes the bad leg out. Wren runs up in the corner to SPLASH! Then BUTTERFLY PLEX! Cover, TWO! Lani survives but the fans cheer on “WREN Q C C! WREN Q C C!” Wren underhooks again but Lani blocks! Lani wrenches out, kicks the bad leg, then brings Wren up again. Lani wrenches and fireman’s carries, but Wren slips free! O’Conner Roll, TWO! Wren flounders but Lani runs up! Wren DUMPS Lani to the apron! Lani KICKS the bad leg again! The fans boo but Lani slingshots for the CUTTER! Wren sputters but Lani goes up the corner! Lani aims for the FROG SPLASH but onto knees! Cover, TWO!
Lani survives the turnaround but Wren hurries to get the arm! FINAL WRENCH!! But Wren’s bad leg won’t let her bridge! Lani is up, and she wrenches Wren into the ANGLE SLAM! Then Lani puts Wren in the drop zone for her ONE OF A KIND SAULT! Cover, Lani wins!

Zaria speaks.
Looking at the burning wreckage that was Sol Ruca’s ship, “Much like a wave, you were a thing of beauty from a distance. But up close, you were drowning me until I finally opened my eyes and remembered who I am.” The vision of Sol fades dithers away, and Zaria says she doesn’t make compromises, she doesn’t let anyone extinguish her. She burned through the tide until Sol was evaporated. And now that Sol is gone, all she sees is the path forward. Zaria will scorch everyone and everything in her way! The Agent of Change is ready to change the landscape, but will she truly shape NXT in her image?
Ricky Saints VS Shiloh Hill!
While the Absolute is already advertised for SmackDown, he has a score to settle here in NXT. Granted, Ricky’s been the one talking down to Shiloh, and was the one who wanted to tip the scales in Ethan Page’s favor against Tony D, only for Shiloh to stand up to him. Will Saints get one last win on his way out? Or will NXT now belong to #ToothlessAggression?
The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally, but then Saints CLUBS Shiloh while he’s not looking! Saints fires off, then CHOPS and ROCKS Shiloh in the corner. Saints stomps away, but he stops as the ref counts. The fans rally for Shiloh and he fires hands! Saints KNEES low, bumps Shiloh off buckles, but then Shiloh turns things around! DOUBLE CHOP! Saints is stinging but Shiloh whips. Saints reverses and ELBOWS Shiloh down! Saints stomps Shiloh, drags him up, and ELBOWS him! Saints brings Shiloh up but Shiloh fires body shots and haymakers! Shiloh blocks a kick, ducks the enzigiri, and he deadlifts Saints onto the ropes!
Shiloh CLUBS away on Saints’ back, then he winds up to DOUBLE CHOP! The fans cheer as Shiloh KNEE LIFTS Saints to the floor! Shiloh goes out after Saints, brings him up, and CLUBS him again. Shiloh whips but Saints tiger feints on the apron to kick Shiloh down! Saints strikes a pose, but Shiloh crawls under the ring! Saints goes to fetch Shiloh, stomps at him, but then yanks out… a dummy?! Shiloh made a double of himself, and Shiloh CANNONBALLS from the steps! The fans fire up for the unorthodox genius, and he shakes hands with his dummy. Shiloh cradles and dances with his dummy while NXT goes picture in picture.
Shiloh carries his dummy, perhaps nicknamed “Jason” given the mask it wears, and sits it on the barriers. Shiloh goes back for Saints, brings him up, and whips him at the ring again. Saints rolls in, staggers to his feet, and Shiloh scoops to SLAM! Then FIST DROP! Saints scrambles away, Shiloh runs up, but Saints FLAPJACK HOTSHOTS Shiloh down! Saints rains down fists fast, but stops so he can bring Shiloh up. Saints bumps Shiloh off buckles, CLUBS away, then ROCKS Shiloh with a forearm. The ref counts again but Saints snapmares Shiloh down for a JUMP KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO!
Saints is frustrated but he CLUBS Shiloh again. And ROCKS him with another forearm. Shiloh slumps against the ropes but Saints brings him to the corner. Shiloh fires back with body shots and haymakers, and he backs Saints down. Shiloh whips, Saints reverses, and Shiloh hits buckles! Saints hurries to stomp away on Shiloh in the corner! The ref counts, Saints stops, and he again snapmares Shiloh. Saints KICKS Shiloh in the back, then grabs the arms for a motorcycle stretch! Shiloh endures, reaches out, and fights up to his feet. Shiloh RAMS Saints into a corner, then fires off body shots! Shiloh RAMS into Saints, then whips corner to corner.
Shiloh runs up, but Saints dodges! Shiloh hits buckles again, and Saints runs to DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Shiloh survives but saints stays on him. They throw hands as NXT returns to single picture, and the fans rally behind Shiloh. Shiloh ROCKS and whips Saints, but Saints crossbodies, only for Shiloh to catch him! But Saints makes it a DDT! Cover, TWO! Shiloh survives and Saints grows frustrated. The fans rally up while Saints scuffs Shiloh. Saints kicks Shiloh, but Shiloh rises up. Saints reels Shiloh in, REVOLUTION- NO, Shiloh powers out of the DDT, then scoops to POWERSLAM! Both men are down but the fans fire up!
Shiloh rises up, Saints ROCKS him, but Shiloh just roars! the fans fire upas Shiloh DECKS Saints, DECKS him again, then scoops and DROPS him! Whip and scoop, TILT-O-WHIRL SLAM! Cover, TWO! Saints survives but Shiloh drags him up. Saints JAWBREAKERS free, but Shiloh HEADBUTTS in return! And then the IMPLDER SENTON but into a body scissors! Saints has the REAR NAKED CHOKE! Shiloh fights the scissors while the fans rally up, and Shiloh moves around. Saints is a backpack on Shiloh, but Shiloh swings Saints around to back suplex! Saints lands out, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and ABSOLUTE SPEARS! Cover, TWO!!
Shiloh survives and the fans cheer but Saints is furious! Saints fires a forearm, Shiloh fires back, and repeat. The fans rally and even duel as the shots keep going! Saints UPPERCUTS, Shiloh ROCKS Saints, repeat! Shiloh ROCKS, whips, and POP-UP FOREARMS! Saints is down, Shiloh hits the IMPLODER! Cover, TWO! Saints survives but Shiloh snarls. Shiloh goes to a corner, climbs up top, but Saints staggers around. He shoves the ref into the rope to trip Shiloh up! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Saints is wily as always. Saints goes up after Shiloh, brings him up to the very top, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! Cover, TWO!!
The fans fire up as Shiloh survives! Saints is frustrated, but he SLAPS Shiloh around. Saints brings Shiloh over to a corner, SLAPS and CLUBS him, then he goes up the ropes. Saints SMACKS Shiloh, and the fake tooth comes out! Saints goes Old School, but #ToothlessAggression has been activated! Shiloh BOOTS the ropes to trip Saints onto his absolute! Shiloh SHAKES the ropes to make it worse! Shiloh then BOOTS Saints down! Shiloh goes out, but Saints FLAPJACKS him off the steps! Then Saints reels Shiloh in, Canadian Rack, ROSHAMBEAUX on the floor! Saints puts Shiloh in, and he grabs a chair!
The fans boo but Saints doesn’t care, he’s head to SmackDown! The ref stops Saints from using the chair, and Shiloh ROCKS Saints! Drop toehold onto the chair! Then the WHISPER TO THE BEAST! Cover, Shiloh wins!!

Whether or not the simulator prepared Shiloh for this exact fight, that training certainly paid off! Toothless and ruthless, will Shiloh soon find himself on top of NXT?
Tony D’Angelo meets with the heads of NXT.
The champion sits down with Stone, HBK, and Bloom. Tony says Keanu is right: The sharks are circling, and they got one on him. But y’know what? Tony loves the chaos! HBK says Tony won that title, Tony IS NXT Champion. Now, time for Tony to prove it. Damn right! LET’S EFFIN’ GO! HBK likes the fire as Tony D heads out, but just how chaotic will things get in this new chapter of the silver ‘n’ black era?
My Thoughts:
A great NXT, especially with them being much more… transparent, I suppose, on how they’re handling call-ups and the new names coming into NXT. For one, I really liked the chaotic nature of bringing such new names out. I’m rather surprised Tristan Angels is already making his NXT debut when he really only just started on Evolve (from what episodes have aired, anyway). Kam Hendrix making his move also went well, and while Evil and Tavion got the spotlight, they were very sneaky about having Will Kroos, formerly of Pro-Wrestling Noah and Progress Wrestling, show up here. And I like Tony’s character saying he welcomes it all. We could get some great stuff on the road to the next NXT PLE, which I believe is Great American Bash in July.
Speaking of which, the news about NXT being fully on CW here in the States is… interesting. I certainly would not have guessed PLEs would end up on TV through CW, and they absolutely better make sure they air at the same time on ALL CW stations nationwide. I am sick and tired of El Paso CW not airing NXT at the right time, I am NOT stomaching a late PLE. Moving on from that, the DarkState dysfunction continues to grow, and I like that Cutler & Osiris are the ones keeping order. If the group is meant to be four equal parts, then it’s about time because those two always felt secondary to both Dion and Saquon.
Very good promo from Vanity Project, and I oddly like that Drake is committed to Micah (formerly Bayley Matthews), that he likes her for her. Jackson Drake VS Jasper Troy is going to be a really good match, and I feel like Micah Matthews should get involved to become the female muscle to Vanity Project, like a modern day Chyna in DX. Really good stuff with Birthright and the formerly WWE ID/Evolve talent. I hope their “attack” on Dorian isn’t to cover up for an injury. Though, maybe he’s in LFG? I have seen various Evolve and WWE ID names in the trailer, but I don’t get all the playing around with kayfabe just to cover for who is on that show.
Either way, great tag win for Legacy & Prosper, and great spot for Wilder to debut as he backs them up. Maybe DVD is just fine, and now we can get an 8 Man Tag of Birthright VS Legacy, Prosper, Wilder & DVD. Very good match from Lizzy VS Lyons, and naturally Lizzy gets the win in her debut. Lizzy’s got a solid character and mic skills, but time will tell how quickly she rises up the rank. Very good promo from the women’s locker room, but there’s some irony to Thea worrying about new talent showing up when there were Evolve talent making cameos in that promo. Kali calling Jaida out is great stuff, that will be a great feud in the background of the title stories.
Speaking of which, very good promo from Lola with The Culling, and Iguana showing up was very well done. The Mixed Tag will be a great match, but win, lose, or draw, this will of course give us Lola VS Izzi for the title. Very good promo from Lani with WrenQCC, and a very good match from Lani VS Wren. Lani is definitely building momentum towards her own title match, but that might not be until Great American Bash or some time after. Very good promo from Zaria, though that video was clearly helped by AI. Zaria herself can build momentum towards a title match, and seeing her feud with some of the other contenders would be good stuff.
Tatum and Shiloh had a good promo, but it’s a little silly for them to pretend Blake is legit dead/dying when she was advertised for SmackDown. Though, I suppose Tony D “killed off” Pretty Deadly before they showed up on SmackDown, so whatever. Shiloh VS Saints was a very good main event match, and that was a great win for Shiloh. Shiloh himself can get involved in a title story, but how fun would it be if he and Tatum were both the North American Champions at the same time? They aren’t officially a kayfabe couple, not even sure if they’re a shoot couple, but it’d be really fun to have the titles be part of their dynamic since they have such great chemistry.
