Tony and Santos, Dimes and Wilde, Stacks and Cruz, it’s chaos! The fans want to “Let Them Fight!” but security and officials break it up. This turf war is only getting more heated, what will it take to finish it?

Backstage interview with Wes Lee.

McKenzie can’t believe he is still standing after Von Wagner tossed him out of the ring and onto the announce desk. Why did he pick a fight with Sanga, one of the biggest men on the roster? Wes says he was running on pure adrenaline when he encountered Sanga. After the pain went away, you think he’d realized his mistake. But no, he only felt disrespected. He stands by his challenge. McKenzie tries to defend Sanga, but Wes says this in the nicest way: this is something he has to do. He has to face guys like Sanga to prove to everyone, especially himself, that he can. But will Wes find that there is a point where size does matter?

Wes Lee VS Sanga!

NXT returns as Wes makes his entrance. The bell rings and Lee rushes in, gets around and headlocks. Sanga picks Lee up but Lee sunset flips. Quinn says he told Lee that he has to run it straight. But then Sanga gets in between Quinn and Lee! Lee staggers up and Sanga helps him. Fans applaud Sanga for showing his respect for Lee and backing down a jerk like Quinn. Will Sanga show Quinn what it means to #RunItStraight in NXT?

Cora Jade talks with Roxanne Perez backstage.

It’s the semifinals of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament! Roxie’s got this! Just two more wins, and Roxie is ready, but Lash Legend is twice her size. But remember that time she faced Gemma Waters? Gemma took their stuff, threw it out of the locker room, but Roxanne got pissed and took the fight to her. That’s what she can do to Lash. Yeah but Cora also hit Gemma with her skateboard. No one gets to talk crap about then, not even Elektra. Elektra has a match up next, right? Wanna watch it backstage? Cora wants to watch ringside. Roxie isn’t sure Cora will behave, but Cora says she’ll just watch with a box of popcorn like the fans. Cora heads out, but will she really just watch?

Bron Breakker walks backstage.

Guru Raaj says he saw Joe Gacy’s hooded guys go into Bron’s locker room. Seriously? Bron appreciates them looking out. Bron then busts in, but no one is there. Except they left a picture of Bron and his family from when he was a kid. How did Gacy get his hands on that? Is this just another mystery steeped onto the pile?

Alba Fyre VS Elektra Lopez!

The flames of Scotland transformed Kay Lee Ray, and now she’s ready to blaze a trail in NXT! But will La Madrina put out the fire already? Or will Lopez get burned for playing with Fyre?

Damon Kemp is on the phone.

He says it is what it is, but when he knows, he’ll text them. Have a good day. The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile walk in and ask what’s going on, where’s Roderick Strong and where is Kemp’s gear? Kemp says it’s not going to happen, Strong rolled an ankle. What? How? They were sparring. Then why didn’t he tell them? So that’s it? Pretty Deadly gets off easy? Strong’s ankle better by hanging on by a thread, that is no excuse. This is Diamond Mine, that’s not how they do things here. Tape it up, lace it up, and go out to perform. Brutus almost blew his knees out with that cannonball, but Brutus would go out again anyway, right? Right! That’s the Diamond Mine way!

Kemp says he won’t get in the middle of anything, he’ll just do what’s asked of him and earn his spot. He’ll go get an update on Strong. Brutus says Pretty Deadly got lucky. That’s fine, because at In Your House, their luck runs out. Will Strong’s ankle be as bad as it seems? Will Julius & Brutus sharpen their edges and be ready to personally crush the NXT Tag Team Champions?

Backstage interview with Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen.

McKenzie says breaking news: Nikkita Lyons suffered an injury and she cannot compete in the Women’s Breakout Tournament. How does Fallon feel knowing she has a bye into the finals? Well it is bittersweet. She wanted to step in the ring with Lyons. Briggs says injuries happen, and Lyons’ happened as a freak accident during training. But some injuries, like Brooks’ hand, is on purpose. Tiffany Stratton says is Fallon really taking the easy road? Rhetorical question, because Tiffany knows who Fallon really is! The “nice country girl” act may full redneck Dumb & Dumber, but it doesn’t fool Tiffany. Fallon didn’t earn her spot.

Uh, you do not talk to Fallon or her boys like that. Fallon earned everything she has. If Tiffany wants to get at her, then yeehaw, bitch! Fallon will come right back at you! Tiffany can meet her in the ring tonight! Then it’s on! Will the Cowgirl hogtie Daddy’s Little Rich Girl and shut her up once and for all?

NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament Semifinal: Roxanne Perez VS Lash Legend!

One step away from history, the Gamer already got past the Calculator, Kiana James, and the WNBA star crushed the powerlifter, Tatum Paxley. Will Roxie be able to topple the towering Lash? Or will Lash’s legend grow as she goes to the finals?

Backstage interview with Bron Breakker.

McKenzie asks him about the strangeness of Gacy’s goons leaving that photo in his locker room. Is he finally getting under Bron’s skin? Bron admits that was strange. But Gacy’s just trying to push Bron’s buttons. Bron’s focus will not be thrown off. But then the television screen plays footage of a football game. It’s Bron Breakker playing football in high school, running back a kick for an 85 yard touchdown. Bron remembers that game because his dad promised to be there, but missed it because he was in Japan wrestling. Is Bron okay? Yeah, he’s good. These mind games won’t work. But will that still be true the closer we get to In Your House?

Pretty Deadly speak.

The NXT Tag Team Champions are here, and Elton Prince says, “Another week, another Diamond disappointment.” Strong’s lame excuse in an injury, Kit Wilson says there’s trouble in paradise. All is not well down in the Diamond dojo. Hey, remember when they wrecked the place? More like remodeled. But they never did thank Pretty Deadly for that. And they won’t pull through at In Your House, either. Another match that the rough ‘n’ tough Creed Brothers will sample the two tastiest snacks in NXT.

You mean the team so unified that they’re two bodies, one mind? #YesBoy! The team whose locks flow in the wind like thoroughbreds running in the open field? #YesBoy! And the team that is synonymous with tag team greatness? #YesBoy! The NXT Tag Team Champions, Pretty Deadly.

Backstage interview with KC Squared.

Kayden & Katana told everyone to stop mistaking kindness for weakness. Toxic Attraction keeps dodging them so they hunted those girls down, and they found out these two won’t be denied. It doesn’t matter if this is 1.0 or 2.0, they are fed up and won’t stop until they get what they want. If Toxic Trash wants to do something about this, then they can bring their asses to In Your House, put the tag titles on the line, and we’ll see what happens. Wendy slides in and likes the sound of that. And she likes the sound of her sack o’ balls hitting Mandy upside the head. Um… Okay. But the title does look good on Wendy. Aw, thanks!

Well maybe at In Your House, Toxic Attraction enters with all the gold, but Kayden & Katana leave with the tag titles and Wendy leaves the NEW NXT Women’s Champion. She has plenty of room for the title in her pillow. Will Toxic Attraction survive as these three come after their gold?

Thea Hail speaks.

Her high school graduation is tomorrow, and she’s so excited! She and all her friends will accept their diplomas, but while her friends go off to be teachers, doctors, and executives, Thea’s going into the WWE. Next week, she makes her decision.

Bron Breakker is on the phone.

He isn’t sure how Gacy got footage of his high school game, but the Steiner family has to be careful. Bron has to get ready, but in walks Duke Hudson. Duke says he didn’t do any of the things going on tonight. Bron knows that, this is all Gacy. But Duke says he’s ready for tonight’s main event, so Bron better be, too. A man is dangerous when he has nothing to lose. Oh yeah? Well see you out there. Duke says he doesn’t care if Bron has daddy issues, he just needs to grow a pair. Bron shoves Duke into the locker! Duke smirks, and says Gacy was right about his predictable emotions. Bron lets Duke go, but will he show just how predictable he is in the ring?

NXT Media catches up with Tony D’Angelo and his crew.

The Don says he has no time, though. Stacks & Two Dimes won, but this thing with Legado has gone too far. It has to end at In Your House. Santos thinks he’s a businessman, but how about this? Tony isn’t asking but demanding one last meeting. As a sign of good will, the last time, Legado had to go to Tony’s turf. This time, Tony goes to Legado’s. Two Dimes asks if that’s a good idea, and Stacks says that didn’t go so well with AJ Galante getting nabbed. Tony says it’s fine, he has something in his back pocket. Plus, he’ll make Santos an offer he can’t refuse. They head out, but just what will happen with this next parley between the families?

The Robert Stone Brand regroups backstage.

Stone fumes about Josh Briggs, but says forget it! Von has pissed off a lot of people in NXT. Jiro is done, that is great. But there’s Nathan Frazer, Wes Lee, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen. They need eyes in the back of Von’s head! Do they even have a game plan? Sophia tells Stone to relax. If they want to get noticed, they ruffle feathers, and that is what Von’s doing. Trust her, Von can handle anything that comes his way. Stone says she’s right, but will Von really be able to establish dominance?

Mandy Rose interrupts Vic Joseph.

Just as Vic and Wade Barrett were hyping up In Your House, Mandy says she wants everyone to shut up and listen. Wendy Choo is DONE. The pajamas, the slippers, the stupid pillows, and now a shot at the title? The thought of Wendy carrying this, let alone touching it, makes Mandy so sick, she’ll throw up all over Wendy’s onesie. If Wendy wants to play practical jokes on Mandy, well, Wendy, you’re the joke! Mandy says Wendy is a grown up kid, but Mandy is a grown ass woman! Jacy says KC Squared thinks they’re the only real tag team here. But let’s be real: KC Squared can’t compete with Toxic Attraction, they’re both two feet tall!

At In Your House, Toxic Attraction sends them all to little Munchkin Land with all the other Oompa Loompas. There’s a big difference between having the ball, and running with it. Toxic Attraction makes it look easy, and even with their Ninja Warrior skills, they can’t keep up. That’s because Wendy, Kayden & Katana are “insecure.” They saw how fast Toxic Attraction rose to the top, but they’ve been struggling to even get a taste. So if they want their chance, they’ve got it! But Toxic Attraction walks in as champions, and walks out as champions. Next week, they make it official! But Wendy, Kayden & Katana don’t have the balls to get the job done!

Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams visit the barbershop.

Cut Wiz is A Champion HQ as he brings up In Your House. He needs to get his title back by any means necessary. The event is called In Your House, but Trick’s been in Melo’s house. He has gold chains, gold watches, but he needs gold back around his waist. Melo hasn’t been walking right since he lost it, not talking right, he can’t recognize himself in the mirror. Take it easy, Melo, you’re still that man. Trick has a game plan: jump it twice, third time’s the charm. Grimes- shows up!? Watch out now! Uh, what’s he doing here? Grimes just wants to talk, no need to get hot. He just walks in and asks what’s wrong. Did Melo expect Grimes to jump him from behind or something?

Grimes says he wants to talk man to man, eye to eye. Last week, right before Grimes and Solo absolutely crushed Melo & Trick, Melo said he was lucky. He is lucky! The whole world might’ve been happy to see him win, but not Melo. Melo says Grimes doesn’t deserve that title. Grimes might be great in the ring, but not like Melo. He doesn’t rock that title the way Grimes does. And Grimes sure as hell ain’t The A Champion! Well, maybe he doesn’t deserve it, but he damn sure earned it. Melo was The A Champion, but that’s all: a champion. Melo says Grimes is a title holder. Well this title holder won’t run his mouth.

See, there’s this new guy from who came over from NXT UK. Some are saying he’s faster than Melo, might even be better than Melo! So how else can Grimes get ready for Melo than to beat the better Melo? Grimes VS Frazer, and then at In Your House, Grimes proves that he is better than Melo. See you then. Melo says he has nothing to prove, but will he be watching Grimes very, very closely?

Joe Gacy talks to his hooded henchmen.

Tonight, they have done a fabulous job. Clearly, they’re getting to Bron. And in the main event, they’ll make sure it sticks. Just what does Gacy have planned as his final masterpiece of manipulation?

NXT hears from a coming superstar.

In Italian, they say, “People attempt to live their ‘best life,’ and then there’s my life. Dayton on the Miranda in Venice, and when the sun goes down, the nightlife in the heart of Rome. Time is the most valuable currency in life. So why not live life in the fast lane? Status is only a negative word to those who can’t achieve it. Style is a way to speak without saying a word. Fashion is a representation of who you are. With all of my success, I am thirsty for more. Dreams are for dreamers. Goals are for achievers. Veni Vidi Vici.” Giovanni Vinci is on his way, will he live his best life in NXT?

Bron Breakker VS Duke Hudson!

The NXT Champion might be on edge after what Joe Gacy’s pulled tonight. But will Bron use that edge to cut down big bad Duke? Or will Bron end up breaking down before making it to In Your House?

NXT returns and Duke makes his entrance. The bell rings and Duke circles with Bron. Bron keeps glancing at the perch, and yes, Gacy and his hooded minions are there! Duke sees them, too, but tells Bron to focus on him. They tie up, Duke puts Bron on ropes, but the ref counts. Duke pushes Bron to a corner, throws knees, then whips him to ropes. Duke reverses and waistlocks but Duke elbows free. Bron scoops and SLAMS Duke! Bron then whips Duke to ropes and RANAS him outta nowhere! Bron then clinches Duke for an OVERHEAD Suplex! Fans bark it up, but Duke ROCKS Bron back!

Duke CLUBS Bron, stands on Bron’s leg, but the ref counts as they’re in the ropes. Duke lets off to throw Bron down and cover, TWO! Another cover, ONE! Duke rains down fists on Bron, gives him body shots and even kidney shots! Duke stomps Bron, hauls him up and whips to ropes. Bron reverses and things speed up. Bron hurdles, then gator rolls Duke out of the drop down to deadlift suplex! Bron SLAMS Duke down, and fans fire up! Duke bails out but Bron kips up! Bron dares Duke to get back in, but then he goes out after Duke. Duke CLOBBERS Bron, having suckered him in!

Duke gets Bron up and into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO! Duke is annoyed but he looms over Bron. Duke hauls Bron up to OVERHEAD Suplex him in return! Duke mocks the barking and fans boo, but Duke scuffs Bron with his boot. Bron gets to ropes, Duke slaps him around, but Bron shoves back. Duke BOOTS Bron down, then drags him back up. Fans rally, Bron throws body shots but Duke ROCKS him! Duke JABS Bron in the corner, follows him along ropes, but Bron throws more shots. Duke CLUBS Bron, whips him corner to corner, then runs in but into a BOOT! Fans duel, Bron runs, dodges Duke, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down!

NXT goes picture in picture while both men stir and Gacy grins. Duke sits up first, he goes over to Bron and throws a forearm. Bron throws a haymaker, but Duke throws another forearm. Bron hits back again, they stand up and Bron throws more haymakers! Duke staggers, kicks low, and he throws body shots. Bron staggers away, Duke whips Bron corner to corner hard, and Bron bounces off buckles to hit the mat. Duke dusts off his hands, then taunts Bron while he looms over him. Duke clamps on with a chinlock and digs a knee into Bron’s back. Bron endures, fans rally up, and Bron fights his way up.

Bron throws body shots, but Duke DECKS him with a shot! Bron goes to a corner, Duke hoists him up to the top rope. Duke climbs up after Bron but Bron hits back. Duke CLUBS Bron, brings Bron up, SUPERPLEX! Duke crawls to a cover, TWO! Duke seethes, puts Bron back in the corner and hoists him back up. NXT returns to single picture as Duke climbs up again. Fans rally, Bron CLUBS Duke down, and keeps raining down hands! Duke ROCKS Bron back, Gacy and his goons have crept up to ringside. Duke goes up, Bron throws body shots and shoves Duke down! Bron adjusts but Duke TOSSES Bron onto the ropes!

Bron tumbles down to the floor and the minions look down on him. Duke goes out to fetch Bron, and he RAMS Bron into steel steps! Gacy grins while the ring count climbs. Duke puts Bron in at 7 of 10, and gets in right after to stomp Bron down. Duke stomps Bron over and over, CLUBS him down with big forearms to the face, then covers, TWO! Duke snarls and he stands over Bron again. Duke clamps onto Bron but Bron resists the camel clutch. Duke throws big crossface forearms, then gets the arms hooked. But Bron slips out the back! Bron hooks Duke up, but Duke fights and THROAT CHOPS!

Bron sputters, the ref reprimands but Duke gets Bron up and reels him in. Bron blocks the lift, and he back drops Duke away! Fans fire up and bark for Bron but Gacy is still pleased. Bron runs and rallies with big shoulders! Bron ducks and scoops to POWERSLAM! The straps come down, and Bron clotheslines Duke and himself out of the ring! Bron stands up and he stares the hooded minions down. Fans rally for Bron as he gets Duke up and in the ring at 6 of 10. But then the goons attack Bron fights them off, then gets back in the ring. Duke has a chair?! Bron kicks Duke, takes the chair, and he sees the goons get in!

Bron CLOBBERS the one, then CLOBBERS the other! Then he TOSSES one out, and Gacy gets on the apron! Bron swings that chair, but Gacy dodges! Duke turns Bron around, Bron SMACKS him with a chair!!

Winner: Duke Hudson, by disqualification

Gacy grins, because it was all according to his plan! Gacy asks Bron if these are games, or if it’s just his natural impulse. Either way, Bron can’t control himself. If Gacy pulls off the same tricks at In Your House, he’ll win the belt! Can Bron learn to control himself before he loses hold of the title?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode here, with a lot more built up towards In Your House. A shame about Nikkita Lyons, as she was a favorite for the Women’s Breakout Tournament finals. But at the same time, it seemed predictable that she and Lash would meet in the finals, and then it felt rather predictable that Lyons would win. No offense to Lash, but she’s still not quite at title contention level yet, so Roxanne getting that win was the logical move. Roxanne VS Lash was a great match, though, and Lash is improving. Tiffany getting in Fallon’s face was a rather clever way to get her into the tournament, and of course Tiffany wins that. With all the champions currently Heels, I feel like Roxie will win to get that great honor of being the first Women’s Breakout winner.

And speaking of those champions, great stuff out of Toxic Attraction and their new round of challengers. Great sneak attack from KC Squared, very good match from Mandy VS Indi, though I should’ve known Mandy would win the way she always does: Toxic Attraction distraction. T A D fits because it’s been done a tad too much. But Wendy hitting Mandy with her “ball sack” was hilarious, I loved it. Mandy VS Wendy, Jacy & Gigi VS Kayden & Katana, all great stuff, and their “championship summit” contract signing segment will be fun. I hope In Your House is where Toxic Attraction loses it all, that needs to be the next chapter in that faction’s story.

We got other good stuff from the women’s division tonight. Good promo with Cora and Roxie, and Cora being ringside for Lopez’s match was a nice detail. Fyre wins, and Lopez gets in Cora’s face, we’re definitely getting Lopez VS Cora and that’ll be a great match. Good promo from Thea Hail to hype up her appearance, but I would think she goes to a college in Florida since that’s where NXT is headquartered. Wait. Wait. What if she enrolls at Chase U!? That’d be amazing if all of this was just a way to introduce Chase U’s first official female faction member! Then if Sarray sticks around Chase U long enough, Sarray and Thea can be a tag team.

Tony D’Angelo and his guys had an okay promo to kick things off right before their match. The match was good, and I figured Stacks & Two Dimes would win. But instead of just jumping to the Six Man Tag, we’re supposedly getting another promo segment where these two factions sit together. That one better break down and set up the Six Man Tag I’ve been expecting, and that Six Man Tag better be No Disqualification since we know these guys all like to be sneaky. Then whoever comes out of this the winner can start as a faction towards multiple title feuds.

Strong being hurt is certainly more for story, and it feels like Strong is closer and closer to getting kicked out of the faction. Pretty Deadly had a good promo to harp on Strong being out, and this adds a bit of heat towards the tag title match, and I feel like Pretty Deadly retains so that Creeds can feud with Strong and Kemp. Good stuff out of Sanga VS Wes Lee, as well as Sanga getting in Quinn’s way of going after Wes. I won’t say “New tag team,” but Sanga VS Quinn would be a great match, and then maybe Wes finally gets his rematch with Quinn.

Great stuff out of Von VS Jiro, but of course Jiro was going to lose that. Sophia looks to be the actual brains of the new new Robert Stone Brand, but that seems typical for the Robert Stone Brand. Briggs stepping up for both Jiro and Brooks was great, Briggs VS Wagner will be a great hoss match. Grimes interrupting the barbershop talk was a nice twist, and I like that he’s bringing back the swagger he had before becoming champion. Grimes VS Frazer is going to be a lot of fun, and I’m sure Grimes wins to have momentum going into In Your House, but I feel it’s still anyone’s match for the North American Championship.

And with THE NXT Championship story, Gacy getting his hands on Steiner family memories was actually the most compelling stuff Gacy’s done since this feud started. Duke pushed buttons, too, and Bron naturally lost his cool, just as Gacy knew he would. And I will say, after a very good match out of Bron VS Duke, they found a very clever way to disqualify Bron and hammer home the No Champion’s Advantage point of the story. I’m sure they’ll try a very similar play at In Your House, but Bron will see through it, maybe find a way to turn it around on Gacy, and somehow survive to keep the title. Also, it seems the fans have already figured out Grizzled Young Veterans are the minions, I’m pretty sure they were chanting “Gibson Sucks!” as things went off the air.

My Score: 8.4/10

PLAY BY PLAY

NJPW mourns the loss of Tadao Yasuda.

President Hiroshi Tanahashi leads the way for Hontai, as well as other members of the locker room, out to the ring to honor the great career of the King of Debt. Yasuda passes at the age of 62, wrestling with NJPW from 1994 to 2005, winning the then vacant IWGP Heavyweight Championship in 2002 against Yuji Nagata. That would be his only NJPW title reign, moving on to HUSTLE Wrestling, which is no longer active, and Yasuda would retire in 2011. He may be a one hit wonder, but he was clearly a great friend to his peers, as we see Makabe and Yano tear up a bit during the moment of silence and ten ring bell salute.

Hiromu Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori VS Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young!

It has been confirmed already that win, lose or draw, the Ticking Timebomb’s time in NJPW has come to an end. Nothing lasts for ever, and the same goes for this incredible ride. Will the Unbound Company be able to see Hiromu off with a smile? Or will the Crown of Fire and #DangerousJAY ruin it all out of spite?

Akira is already getting in Taiji’s face, as well as Hiromu’s face, but the ref has him cool off. The teams sort out and after the Unbound fist bump, Hiromu starts against Akira. The fans all cheer “HI-RO-MU! HI-RO-MU!” But then Akira slides out, and Jakob steps in, so Hiromu thinks they tagged out. But then Jakob BLASTS Taiji and Akira CLOBBERS Hiromu! Taiji CLAWS Akira’s eyes, but Hiromu is still down! Jakob runs in and CLOBBERS Taiji! The fans boo but Jakob drags Taiji back and stomps him down.

Akira is furious, but will he just have to accept he will never get to ruin Hiromu’s legacy? As for Hiromu, where will he go now that he’s a free agent exploring the great unknown?

Shingo Takagi & “Drilla” Dan Moloney VS Great-O-Khan & HENARE!

Unbound Company scored first over The United Empire, but this is about settling a different score. The War Dragons want to tear down the Dominator & Mauler, but will they make the series 2-0? Or will Khan & Henare tie things up in the second?

The teams sort out and #Khanare just attacks! They TOSS Drilla then mug Takagi! The bell rings while the fans boo, but Khan & Henare continue to mug Takagi. They double whip, but Takagi grabs ropes! Winners: Shingo Takagi & “Drilla” Dan Moloney, by pinfall

And with that, Unbound Company is 2-0 already! But will this defeat humble Henare and Khan once and for all? Can the rest of the Unbound continue this momentum through the night?

Wait, Drilla grabs the mic to address the fans. Drilla says in Japanese, “Everyone… I want to thank you. Because… I HAVE RENEWED WITH NJPW!” Even Takagi is shocked! We thought Drilla was taking his leave like Hiromu, but no! He’s staying right here! Drilla wants to keep running wild in NJPW, and he even wants in on New Japan Cup! The fans cheer that! Takagi even adds, “Oi, oi, oi! Whoever retires or quits, all we’re gonna do is keep on fighting in this ring!” The fans cheer that, too! Will this New Beginning lead to bigger and better things for the War Dragons, the Unbound Company, and NJPW as a whole?

NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships: Bishamon & Boltin Oleg VS TMDK!

From falling short in the Tornado Ranbo to winning these titles on the Road to New Beginning, to then winning the best-of-three singles matches, Hirooki Goto, Yoshi-Hashi and the big man from Kazakhstan were able to #TurnItAllAround. But will they keep the momentum going here in Osaka? Or will Zack Sabre Jr, Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson prove The Mighty Don’t Kneel?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see whose reign continues through the New Beginning!

The trios sort out, and the fans cheer as Oleg steps up against Hartley. The bell rings and both big men fire up! They run in and RAM shoulders! And RAM shoulders! And RAM shoulders again! Oleg and Hartley stare down, the fans rally up, and Hartley runs the ropes to RAM Oleg! Oleg stays up and shakes that off. Oleg runs now, and he RAMS Hartley! Hartley steps back, but he returns to CHOP! Oleg CHOPS in return! The CHOPS keep going, but then Hartley kicks and UPPERCUTS! Hartley runs, but Oleg RUNS him over! Oleg BLASTS Oiwa, but ZSJ catches him to a HANGING ARMBAR! The ref counts, but Hartley scoop SLAMS Hashi!

Hartley BLASTS Goto while ZSJ lets Oleg go. Hartley runs up and CLOBBERS Oleg! The fans cheer and Hartley says “Jackson Number One!” Hartley reels Oleg in for a stalling suplex! Cover, TWO! Tag to ZSJ and ZSJ goes right to work on Oleg’s bad arm! ZSJ twists, isolates, and STOMPS the elbow! Oleg writhes but ZSJ drags him over to tag in Oiwa. They have double toeholds, then Oiwa floats to get the arm. Oiwa wrenches and whips to then DROPKICK Oleg! The fans cheer and Oiwa covers, TWO! The fans cheer and Yuto says they’ll play, make money, and get high. Don’t think, just feel! Let’s get high! Tch tch, BIG UP! AKA challenges accepted! But will the Unbound Company turn their trip to the US into world domination?

While Unbound Company and United Empire are 2-2, this is the one that truly matters! The Gene Blast became Double Champion at WrestleKingdom, and even brought back the classic title to make a statement. But will Yota’s vision for NJPW’s future continue on? Or will the Silent Jester have the last laugh?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

Schiavone welcomes us to Dynamite live from Southern California, and he says we’re starting with a special face-to-face. First, welcome out The Cleaner, Kenny Omega! The fans cheer as indeed, The Best Bout Machine makes his way out to the ring, complete with pyro! And now, welcome out Swerve Strickland! The fans cheer again as The Realest makes his way to the ring, Prince Nana always in the groove. Schiavone notes how last week, things broke down during Kenny’s match with Andrade El Idolo. To be honest, we’ve seen the looks, we’ve felt the tension, and it goes as far back as Maximum Carnage.

Schiavone wants to start with Swerve, as it seems most of the tension is coming from him. What’s going on? Swerve says he has stuff to get off his chest. It’s been lingering for awhile. Five years ago, Kenny Omega was on top of the game, on top of the industry. So conveniently, that was the last time Kenny had the AEW World Championship, as well. Not only that, but Kenny was The Cleaner, the Best Bout Machine, and some even called him the God of Pro-Wrestling. Everyone outside of AEW was itching for a chance to face off with Kenny, Swerve included. Then in 2022, Swerve finally arrives to AEW, makes it to the top, becomes world champion in just TWO YEARS.

But where is Kenny? Where’s The Cleaner? Where’s the Best Bout Machine? While Swerve is busy becoming the most undeniable man in AEW, Kenny was nowhere to be found. Swerve says don’t get him wrong, he saw Kenny pop up here and there, even showing up in the Tokyo Dome. Hell, Swerve even teamed with that guy last year in Anarchy in the Arena. But while Swerve was at the top of AEW, Kenny was either laid up in a hospital bed or suspended. Seems like a false prophet of wrestling if you ask Swerve. But during Kenny’s absence, the congregation starts looking for someone else to follow, a new prophet.

Now, Swerve won’t call himself a god or nothing, but everywhere they go, the “church” sings, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” And now, Kenny suddenly wants to march back in here, feeling the best he has in years! Kenny’s all healthy and good, and inserts himself into the title circle with the rest of them. It almost feels like Kenny was using his EVP power. Is that what he’s trying to do? Cuz Swerve had to fight with a couple EVPs the last couple years, a couple idiots that like to stroke their own egos, abuse their power, and Swerve ended that last Summer. So Swerve doesn’t care if they call Kenny a god or not, if he uses his power to step ahead of Swerve, Swerve puts you down.

Kenny picks up a mic and asks, “Are we good? Can I talk now?” Kenny will be the first to correct Swerve on one detail: Kenny never called himself the God of Pro-Wrestling; that’s a name the people gave him. And while Kenny never erected altars or asked the people to pray to him or praise him, they still made signs, wore the shirts, and cheered him on. The fans respect AEW as the place where the best wrestle, and they know that if they see Kenny Omega in a match, they are going to get the absolute best outta him! Now if that’s the power of a god or not, that’s in the eye of the beholder.

But Kenny takes the fans’ faith as a great responsibility. For them to believe in Kenny for this one final journey to the top of the mountain and do it the right way… Swerve, you ask the question, “Whose House?” It might be Swerve’s House, but to question Kenny Omega…? The lights are on, but nobody’s home. And if Swerve needs someone else to burn the house down, well, Kenny’s got a friend who’s got the experience. And yeah, Swerve’s right, a bit of the old Kenny is feeling good. He’s shown up and shown out. And Kenny is feeling like championship material, and that he doesn’t need EVP power to do it because he’s been getting wins.

And if not for Swerve last week, Kenny would’ve had plans for Australia, he would’ve had plans for Revolution, and he might even be champion right now! But Kenny knows how much Swerve believes in himself. Kenny isn’t asking Swerve to believe in Kenny. Kenny is asking something rather simple: he’s asking for a fight! Kenny sees the way Swerve looks at Kenny with disrespect. Kenny’s seen how Swerve whispers sweet nothings in Nana’s ears like he has something planned. But Kenny isn’t giving Swerve the chance. This ends and this ends now. If Swerve wants the match, he’s got it. If this is about padding records, then that’s what they’ll do.

So, Swerve… Kenny will make it simple. Accept the challenge, or yield. Swerve says Kenny must be scared, he must be nervous. Because Swerve’s generation is already ahead of Kenny’s. They’re lapping him! But if Kenny wants to go face to face with The Most Dangerous- Oh, right, Kenny totally forgot about that! The Most Dangerous Man on the Planet! The one that gives everyone the heebie jeebies! Well if you ask Kenny, it ain’t Swerve. In fact, the Most Dangerous Man in AEW would have to be Brody King. The fans bark for Brody, but Swerve says what he was going to say was… How about Swerve puts Kenny in the hospital bed, and this time Kenny won’t be getting back up.

Kenny says that’s an idea. SLAP! The fans fire up seeing that! Swerve scowls and he takes off his jacket while Kenny takes off his watch and rolls up his sleeves. Swerve says Kenny’s made his choice. Whatever happens next is on Kenny. Swerve TACKLES Kenny and they start scrapping! Kenny gets on top of Swerve but then things spill outside! Swerve RAMS Kenny into railing, then THROWS him into more railing! And then the steel steps! Swerve is furious as he gets Kenny up, but Kenny THROWS Swerve over railing! Kenny picks up a chair and pursues through the crowd! He SMACKS Swerve on the back! And again!

The fans fire up as things move through the crowd and Kenny fires fast hands! Swerve hits back, and he whips Kenny into a trash can! Then he SMACKS Kenny off it! Swerve then SMACKS Kenny with the can! Things keep moving and they go to around the stage! Swerve pushes Kenny onto the ramp, stomps him down, then brings him up to CLUB away! Kenny fires back! Kenny ROCKS Swerve, follows him along, and THROWS him into the LED! V-TRIGGER into the LED! The fans fire up as Kenny takes off his shirt and stands tall over Swerve. Then Kenny drags Swerve up, Electric Chair Lifts, but Swerve fights free!

Swerve SPEARS Kenny off the stage, and they CRASH DOWN THROUGH A TABLE! The fans lose their minds while security hurries out here. They make sure both men are okay before helping them out of the wreckage. The Cleaner and the Realest are still raging, what will it take to settle the score?

Backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis.

Renee Paquette is with the Protostar and The Jackal, noting we are just moments away from a first-time-ever match. Fletcher is challenging Tommaso Ciampa for the TNT Championship, but we’re also just days away from Grand Slam: Australia. There’s a lot of pressure on Kyle, but- Callis says no, Kyle is not under pressure, The Don Callis Family gives the pressure. Kyle will beat Ciampa, then he’ll go on to a hero’s welcome in Australia. Callis asks Kyle how he’s feeling, and Kyle says it’s just as Don says, Kyle lives for this. Kyle loves the pressure, he thrives under the bright lights, and tonight, he takes his TNT Championship back. Kyle will then go home and get his hero’s welcome.

But one question for Don: Will he let Kyle do this on his own? Wait, Callis gets to sit back with feet up on the commentary desk as he watches the great Kyle Fletcher? Yes, Kyle would love that. Callis would also love that! See you out there! Kyle heads out and Callis says that’s like the son he’s never had. But then will Don be a proud papa when the Aussie Arrow hits the mark and brings home the gold? Or will Ciampa make sure no one will survive?

Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall (NEW AEW TNT Champion)

The Aussie Arrow would not be denied his epic homecoming! He fought beyond his limits and finally has this title back! Renee Paquette is here to interview Kyle, and she gives him a congratulations on having this title back. He was very confident coming into tonight, said he wanted to do it on his own, and that he did. What is next for Kyle? Kyle says he made it very clear earlier when he said he was coming home with THE TNT Championship! So that is exactly what he plans to do. Despite being all banged up, he will show up in Sydney, Australia as champion! And he will receive the hero’s welcome he deserved last year!

And because Kyle IS the Greatest TNT Champion of All Time, he will defend the title in his hometown, against anybody from anywhere, he does not care! Because he is THE GREATEST TNT CHAMPION TO EVER LIVE! But then reach for the sky, boy! Mark Briscoe is here, mic in hand! Briscoe asks Kyle if he heard that correctly. Now, listen, son, you’ve come a long way. It wasn’t long ago that Kyle was a mop-headed young man trying to figure things out. And now look at him! A TWO-TIME TNT Champion! Congrats, big dog, you deserve it. Kyle says he knows all that. But that being said, Kyle’s also got a damn big mouth, and his ass might not be able to cash the checks that the mouth is writing!

Because there’s history here, Kyle! They done battled six times now, split things down the middle at 3-3! And hey, man, Briscoe can be rather impatient, so he’ll be happy to give Kyle home court advantage for game seven. That is, if Kyle ain’t scared. Kyle says no, no, no, he is sick and tired of Briscoe’s dumb little face! They might be 3-3, but Kyle is sick and tired of seeing him in the ring. But… Kyle did say he’d face anyone from anywhere… So CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! BUT…! Number seven deserves to be bigger and better than all the rest, and Kyle wants it to be the final chapter in their story. So whoever wins in Sydney will be the very best.

Briscoe says he loves to reach for they sky? Then how about they reach for the TNT Championship! If Briscoe wants Game 7, then it’ll be a LADDER MATCH! Briscoe indeed loves that! The final battle between Briscoe and Fletcher has been made, but who will truly stand tall as these two fight to end it all?

AEW shares footage from last week.

The Babes of Wrath regrouped after losing that Title Eliminator. Harley Cameron felt awful for letting Willow Nightingale down, but Willow says it’s fine, it happens. They’ll give Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford a title match, but they’ll do it somewhere special. Somewhere that Harley has homefield advantage. Grand Slam: Australia! Harley says yeah, this time last year, a lot of people thought Harley was just the goofy girl with the puppet. But now, thanks to Willow, Harley is a babe with wrath! They are THE Babes of Wrath, they are THE AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions!

And when they take Megan & Penelope down, it’ll be in front of Harley’s entire family! Time to show ’em what wrath really means! See you Down Under! The title match is set, but will Willow & Harley humble the #MEGABAD Bayne & Ford? Or will it be far from a happy homecoming?

The Timeless One blows a kiss of congratulations to “Citrus Boy,” and Cassidy waves hi. Toni has the mic to say, “Children of California, lend me your ears. I am Timeless Toni Storm, and I have made peace with my life choices. Marina Shafir, you Mixed Martial A-hole! At Grand Slam: Australia, if you knock me out cold in front of my friends, my family, and my former lovers, then you deserve to shave my head. But I will evolve into the most beautiful bald bastard this world has ever seen!”

The fans cheer, and Toni continues by saying if she is able to defeat Marina, she will shave Marina’s head so close to the skull, they’ll put a price tag on her and sell her at Spirit Halloween! AEW shares footage from after last Wednesday.

Don Callis regrouped with Andrade El Idolo and said he was very happy. They should celebrate! Andrade beat Kenny Omega! Just like Callis knew he would! Everything is coming up Don Callis Family! Andrade and Callis shake hands on that, and Callis says this is how they do it! They’re a team! They’re a family! And Callis knew Andrade was the man to take out Kenny! Andrade is back in AEW with the DCF because of the unfinished business. And it got settled 1-2-3! And Andrade IS the next AEW World Champion! Hangman Page, in Australia, you’re gonna find out that when you get in the way of Andrade & The Don Callis Family, you get run over.

Andrade thanks Callis for believing in him. And Hangman, you stupid little idiot, you will learn that you are just in his way.

Hangman responds.

“At Grand Slam: Australia, I thought it would be Kenny and I again. I wanted that, I needed it, because if I’m going to challenge for the world championship, I need to know I can beat the man that I once beat for it. But that’s not what I’m getting. In Australia, I’m wrestling Andrade El Idolo. He’s one of the best wrestlers in the entire world, I’ll give him that. But in Australia, Andrade, no te quitas los pantalones <you won’t be taking off those pants>.” Instead, Andrade will meet his end. See you Down Under. The Millennial Cowboy has issued his warning, but will El Idolo heed it? Or will Andrade make sure to slip into the DMs?

JetSpeed speaks.

Mike Bailey says they are THE AEW World Trios Champions, and they’re looking for challengers. But right now, Hangman Page is set to win the AEW Men’s World Champion. Kevin Knight adds that it is admirable that Hangman is a champion still looking for more gold. So maybe JetSpeed should do the same. It could be the tag team championships, or considering Knight beat a former TNT Champion, maybe some singles belts. Bailey says the important thing to note is that in 2026, #JetSetRodeo is coming for all the gold! Then when and where will Bailey & Knight wrangle themselves some new golden opportunities?

AEW World Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders Triple Threat: The Young Bucks VS The Rascalz VS ???

Speaking of such opportunities, Matt & Nick Jackson are one step away from another match with their greatest rivals, FTR! However, that means making it through Dezmond Xavier & Myron Reed, but also a mystery team to be revealed right here and now! “Oh my gawd, is that Private Party?” IT IS! The Rascalz dodge again, then Myron ENZIGIRIS! Dez BODY BLOWS, Myron KICKS low, then they KICK and KICK and DOUBLE STOMP! The fans are torn while The Bucks bail out. Myron builds speed to FLY!

Myron brings down The Bucks, but Quen runs up to DROPKICK Dez! Then he sets up for Zay, PARTY IN MOTION! Down goes Nick and The Rascalz! But then Matt BOOTS Quen and WRECKS everyone with a dropkick! But Dez DROPKICKS Matt! Dez goes up, up, and SUPER SHOOTING STAR ATTACK! All six men are down on the outsides and the fans are loving “A E DUB!” as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The Rascalz mug Nick, then Myron ROCKS him. Myron bumps Nick off buckles, then follows Nick to another corner. Myron bumps Nick off buckles again, then off even more buckles. Nick blocks a shot, CHOPS Zay, then goes up to “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans fire up and Nick crawls for his corner, hot tag to Matt! Matt RAMS Zay, slingshots up and over, then he BLASTS The Rascalz! Matt dodges Zay, gets under, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express gets moving as Matt NORTHERN LIGHTS again and again! Quen is up, but he gets added to a DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS! The fans fire up for Matt and he WRECKS The Rascalz!

Matt skins the cat, SLICED BREAD on Zay! Quen kicks low, gives a Michael Jackson HEEHEE before he whips Matt. Matt reverses, runs in, but is put on the apron! So he just DIAMOND DUSTS Dez! Nick gives Quen the SHINING WIZARD, GAMANGIRI, ELBOW and then BULLDOG LARIAT for Private Party! The fans fire up with Nick, Matt joins back in, and they go up the corners! The Bucks coordinate, MACHO ELBOW AND SWANTON IN STEREO! Cover, TWO! The fans rally as this continues, and we see Hook watching from the skybox. Winners: The Young Bucks, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships)

Even with the wild card in the mix, Matt & Nick busted out a Superkick Party to win their way back to the- Oh, wait, FTR is here to interrupt the celebration. The fans boo as Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood wheel Stokely Hathaway out here. They let #BigStoke sit at ringside while Dax & Cash step into the ring. Dax has a mic to say they come in peace, just give them a moment. Relax, relax. The two greatest tag teams of a generation, EIGHTEEN world tag team championship reigns between them, and if Dax is being honest, there was a time that Dax was a bit jealous of The Bucks.

How does it feel to know now that as far as greatest tag teams of all time go, The Bucks are sitting comfortably at second place? But Dax pulls the same gag where he doesn’t let The Bucks answer, because Dax knows that if it was him, and his rivals were considered the absolute best of all time, it would bother him. But think about it like this: Every company that FTR has worked for, they have been successful. In the case of The Bucks, in order to be successful, they had to go and make their own company. Does that bother them? Because Dax- SUPERKICK! Then SUPERKICK for Cash! The fans cheer and Stokely is shocked!

The Bucks hold up the belts, and then they decide to go say hey to Stoke. Stoke can’t scoot his wheelchair away in time, and he has to pretend he’s happy to see them. The Bucks smile, and then they feint hitting Stoke with superkicks. They let him have the belts to hold onto, because it’s only a matter of time. When and where will we see AEW’s greatest tag teams fight to prove they’re THE best team ever?

AEW Women’s World Championship Strap Match: Kris Statlander VS Thekla!

The Galaxy’s Greatest had a plan for what tonight’s match would be, but then those plans changed when The Triangle of Madness insisted on attacking her and beating her down. But The Toxic Spider using a leather belt to whip her inspired #BigStatDaddy into upping the ante. Now these two will be inseparable as they fight to survive! But will Thekla be another casualty of the Cosmic Killer? Or will she turn the leather strap into her sinister web?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who truly beats the other!

Kris is the one bringing the strap and she already has it around her wrist. Thekla straps in on her end and the bell rings. Both women gather up some slack as they tug-o-war. The fans rally for Kris as she reels Thekla in, and Thekla ends up dropping to her knees. Thekla wants Kris to take it easy, then she narrowly avoids getting lashed! Kris LARIATS in the corner, then uses the strap in the short arm LARIAT! The fans cheer while Thekla sputters.

Kris drags Thekla by her arm all around the ring! The fans cheer as Kris just YANKS Thekla over. Kris talks trash, then she stomps Thekla. Kris drags Thekla along, wanting Thekla to get some rugburn from the mat. Thekla bails out of the ring again but Kris follows. Thekla LASHES Kris in the face! Then LASHES her on the back! This is MY show!” Kris is busted open from how she hit the steps and Thekla mocks the blood dripping out. Thekla makes the camera look right at it, then she ELBOWS away on that wound while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Thekla DIGS her elbow into the forehead and Kris can only endure! Thekla BITES Kris’s forehead, then pushes her down. Kris sputters but Thekla looms over her from the apron. Kris CLUBS at Thekla but Thekla kicks her down. Thekla then goes through the corner to pull Kris into the post! And YANK her into the post again! Kris flails and sputters as Thekla thrashes her around! Thekla drags Kris up and snapmares her for the basement SUPERKICK! Cover, TWO!

Thekla hits the Spider Stance, but Kris YANKS the arms out! Kris SUPERKICKS Thekla down! Kris then SHOVES Thekla into buckles, and UPPERCUTS! Kris runs to BOOT WASH Thekla! Kris reels Thekla in for the SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!

Thekla survives and Kris is furious. Kris drags Thekla to a drop zone then climbs up top. But Thekla LASHES Kris again! Thekla goes up to the very top, but Kris ROCKS her! Thekla sits on the top rope, Kris HEADBUTTS her, but Thekla sits up to LASH her again and again! Thekla grins and brings Kris up, SPIDER SUPERPLEX! Kris writhes while Thekla hangs on the corner. Thekla then sits back up, but Kris rises up! And LASHES Thekla on the back! And again, and again! Then while in the Tree of Woe! The fans fire up as Kris then gut wrenches Thekla off the corner. Even after all the blood, sweat and tears, it still took the Triangle of Madness to tear down The Cosmic Killer! The Toxic Spider has god, the Sisters of Sin beat up Kris, and Kris is all alone because Willow & Harley are already in Australia! BUT WAIT! Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor are here! The Brawling Birds are armed with hammers and pipes! They scare off The Triangle of Madness, but Thekla still shows off the belt. Will things only get more and more toxic in AEW from here on out?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Dynamite here as not only a go-home to Grand Slam: Australia but just in general. Great promo from Kenny and Swerve to put this grudge into perspective, and then great brawl to come of it and set up their match for next week. Very good promos from Andrade and Callis, as well as from Hangman, to hype up their match at Grand Slam. That match could probably go both ways, but I would think it is Hangman facing MJF at Revolution given their history and how World’s End went. Good promo from JetSpeed to say they’re gonna aim for other titles, a rare Three Man Power Trip could be an interesting story.

Great stuff with Don Callis Family, Death Riders and Conglomeration to hype up a lot of the Grand Slam card. That was a great Six Man Tag for Death Riders to get a lick back over DCF, but with Moxley scoring the fall, I wonder if this means things are now in Konosuke’s favor to win in Australia. Again, it’d make a lot of sense if they then A) have Konosuke and Okada fight to reunify the Unified Championship and B) have Death Riders mutiny and reject Moxley. Though, the latter might not be so clear anymore as Death Riders are helping the former War Dogs integrate with AEW.

Great tag of Garcia & Connors VS Cassidy & Roddy, and they were able to build multiple stories at once. Roddy ditching Cassidy has got to finally get it through to The Conglomeration that Roddy does not want any part of them. And then Cassidy overcoming the odds thanks to Darby is great for building another Darby VS Gabe match. But then to make sure the go-home match is a wash, Toni got a good promo in, only for Death Riders to beat Cassidy down and humiliate Mina. I still wonder if Mina “accidentally” costs Toni & Cassidy their hair. That mixed tag match will still be a lot of fun, and the result alone will be reason to watch.

Then we got a lot of great surprises in all the title related matches. Fletcher VS Ciampa was an instant classic, PPV level even, but at the same time, Fletcher winning out felt a little heavy-handed. Obviously this leads to Fletcher VS Briscoe 7 being made, but at least it’ll be a ladder match. That’ll be an awesome match, it could really go either way, and yeah, this better be the end of things for this feud for like, a solid year. And at this point, maybe it should be Kyle retaining. For one, they’re gonna be in Australia, the Australian fans should get to cheer Kyle as well as Harley & Willow. For another, Kyle and Ciampa can have a rematch at Revolution to do even crazier stuff than tonight.

Private Party returning for the Triple Threat tag is great, I don’t know why they weren’t back sooner unless it was for a legit injury or two. But then The Bucks still winning out is a shame for Private Party, but whatever, we’re getting Bucks VS FTR whatever number we’re on. No idea who wins out, but it’ll be another great match. And then Kris VS Thekla was a great main event with that strap match. Side note: AEW is doing the overrun so much for Dynamite, and now Grand Slam is gonna be 2.5 hours minimum, AEW really just wants to do a three hour TV show, huh? And I figured Thekla would win because of Julia & Skye. Classic Heel stuff, and now we can definitely get a rematch for Revolution. The Brawling Birds showing up was a nice touch, I wonder if they and Sisters of Sin have a match next week.

My Score: 8.9/10
