Time to set the table!

HPW News 2022

HPW is going to be serving it up hot!

HyruleMania 3 is on the horizon, but Fyter Feast whets the appetite for greatness! What will HPW be serving up this Fall?

First, what we know for HyruleMania 3!

HyruleProWrestlingPPVLogo HyruleMania3

For the HPW Goddess Championship, Zelda defends both the title and her TWO YEAR title reign against the Sorceress of Shadow, the only person to have defeated Zelda these past two years, Veran! A tiebreaker for the ages, who enters the New Year as champion?

For the HPW Termina Championship, Ganondorf called out Fin Balure after Fin Balure ruined Ganondorf’s chances in the Hyrule Warriors match. Therefore, HPW Management is making it official, we will see the Zora Rock ‘n’ Rolla defend the HPW Termina title against the Gerudo Ace!

And for the HPW Triforce Championship, after making it through the Blood Match, Kage is still champion. And after making it through the Hyrule Warriors match, Igos du Ikana is the new challenger. They are set to collide for the top title in all the land, will Kage #FallToRuin? Or will Igos fail to take over Hyrule Pro-Wrestling?

And now, what Fyter Feast is bringing to the table!

Thursday, November 24th, Trilby Plain hosts an awesome Autumn event!

After the All Or Nothing Quartet Match, the Arrow Club has cleared out some space on the contender’s lists. The Desert Flowers, Riju, Aveil & Buliara, cannot challenge Bad Croc Scaly & The Young Ducks, Mack & Rick Quackson, for the HPW Trios Championships. The Dame of the Dunes, Tali, cannot challenge Torbevito for the Death Mountain Championship. However, as the Gerudo Alliance realized for themselves, they can shake things up and try again! But they won’t just be given those opportunities, they must earn them!

As such, a match that has become tradition at HyruleMania for the Death Mountain Championship returns again! It will be a Furious 5 Ladder Match! Torbevito is going to be in for the biggest title defense of his life, but he knows what one of these ladder matches is like since he was in one just last year. But who will join him? First, after her big win over Ghirahim in the I Quit match, the Twilight Princess is a shoe-in for this match! Will Midna be the first former HPW Goddess Champion to win the Death Mountain Championship?

But for Fyter Fest, the remaining three spots will be filled through three qualifying matches! In relation back to Desert Flowers leaving the HPW Trios titles behind, Aveil will be entering the Death Mountain Championship chase! But she’ll be facing someone who proved themselves through the Hyrule Warriors match in Byrne Lokoma! Will Aveil be able to turn things around from a frustrating defeat? Or will she be the one derailed?

Then, we will see showdowns of Dark Horses and veteran names! Odolwa, the God of Woodfall, was a forced to be reckoned with, but he is running into the mountainous General of Darkness, Onox! Will the Sword of the Swamp be able to cut down this boulder of a man? Or will the TCW Triple Crown Winner start the climb up Death Mountain? And in the final qualifier, Ralph, the Lad of Labrynna, did what he could but couldn’t come out on top in the Hyrule Warriors match. Likewise, the Living Blade said those dreaded two words and lost to Midna. But they’re both getting a last chance, who will be the fifth man in the Furious 5 Ladder Match?

But the real feast is in the Trios Division.

With Arrow Club still on top, they are the ones with targets on their backs now. There are any number of trios that want after these titles, but not all of them can have a seat at the table. With just one ring and four corners, HPW is setting up what will be known as a Three By Four Match! Four teams of three so that all four corners are occupied and all four teams will be legal at once!

Firstly is the new formation of Tali, Buliara & Riju, now going by the Dames of the Dunes. They may have lost in the Quartet match, but HPW does take into account the extenuating circumstances of Fin Balure getting involved. Then, after the brawling in and out of the ring between these two factions, both the Dark Forces and the UnderWorld Order will be included so that they can kill two birds with one stone. The Dark Forces will be represented by Volga, Cia and Gibdo, while the uWo will be represented by Hollywood ReDead, their Gibdo, and newest member, Skull Kid!

Upon hearing Skull Kid was included, Groose was clamoring at management’s door, demanding a way into the Trios Championship chase. He obviously would need two partners, and he has Tingle, but he still needs a third. Will Groose find a third partner in time? Or will they be eliminated by default and replaced by another hungry trio waiting in the wings?

My Thoughts:

This is going to be a BIG Fyter Feast. The qualifiers are going to be a lot of fun with three sets of an established name facing a Dark Horse, they could all go either way. And the Trios Division is big but I didn’t want to be redundant with having a gauntlet or battle royal, because that’s what the Hyrule Warriors (Royal Rumble) match is already. So instead, I’m getting as much story value as I can in a sudden death match with four trios, and of course we’ll get some stuff set up for HyruleMania out of that past just, “Who is facing Arrow Club?”

Mitchell’s Hyrule Puro-Resu News Report! (5/1/24)

The Gerudo Sisterhood is (not) fine.

Published

on

Mayday! Mayday!

The Triforce Anniversary did not go their way, and now The Gerudo Sisterhood sits down to talk it out. Will things (not) be okay again?

The Gerudo Sisterhood meet up.

In Gerudo Town, Riju sits in the throne room, Buliara by her side. Aveil, Nabooru and Urbosa arrive together. Riju asks where Tali and Shabonne are, and Aveil says she has no idea. Nabooru and Urbosa also don’t know, no one’s heard from either all month. Did she go back to sand seal racing? Nabooru checked around the track, checked the Great Dunes, no one there had seen her, either. Is Tali feeling that guilty about the spear? Everyone watched the tape back, it was by accident, she has nothing to feel bad about.

The group argues about that a bit. Tali went out there when she wasn’t supposed to. And even if it was an accident, she should still apologize, shouldn’t she? That’s a good point. Well, for now, they’ll just have to wait until Tali comes to them. For now, everyone needs to turn their attention to what’s coming: ThunderStruck.

The Gerudo Sisterhood double check the match card.

An Open Challenge for the Death Mountain Championship starts things off. Nabooru and Aveil tried to get that spot, but it seems someone already called their shot. Who do they think it was? Urbosa says, “Does it really matter? The Sisterhood will be right on the heels of the winner either way.” The others are all for that. Then The Dark Forces seem to be making moves. Cia has Ganon by her side, but who will Ruto have? Between Fin Balure and Bad Croc Scaly, she’s got strong choices, and Arrow Club could even parlay this tag match into a shot at the Termina Championship.

How’d Arrow Club figure out how to avoid Blood & Thunder this year? That’s anyone’s guess, but watching the UnderWorld Order battle it out with the rest of the Dark Forces will be just as much fun for the Sisterhood as it will be for the HPW Trios Champs. Kevin Gibdo, Volga, Zant and Wizzro aren’t exactly the friendliest bunch, but hopefully they give ReDead, Scaldera, Gomess & Death Sword the beating they deserve for all their underhanded moves. And it’d keep them from getting another chance at the HPW Trios titles at that.

The sore spot is the Triforce World Championship match. Yunobo has his shot at the title, and again Tali’s involvement in the Triple Threat cost the Sisterhood. But Link’s a three-time HPW Triforce Champion for a reason. For one, he won the Hyrule Warriors match, and he won the Eventide Challenge. Buliara points out that the other reason is that he lost the title along the way. If things come in threes, then will he lose a third time? Personally, Riju hopes not. She only survived that Beat the Clock Challenge against Link, and wants to settle things in a proper match. That’s also something the Sisterhood can get behind.

There’s thunder in the distance and they all look out the window to see a storm rolling across the desert. Thundra Plateau awaits, but who will rumble their way to victory?

My Thoughts:

Hooray for a hype article! Just imagine this as a really cool vignette video you’d see a major company put out. Also, I did need to keep the story of the Gerudo Sisterhood going, don’t want that slipping through the cracks. I’m feeling some intrigue as we move deeper into the Spring, this should be fun.
