The second round of the Triforce Tournament is set!

HPW moves on to Talus Plateau as the Fourth Annual Triforce Tournament continues! Did your bracket get busted? Or are your favorites still in it to win it?

The updated bracket:

Three of the four Faces of Evil have made it to the second round, but the level of difficulty has only increased! With Glutko gone, will Militron, Lupay and Harlequin continue on to the finals? And we also have a HyruleMania rematch as Groose will meet Skull Kid in the Bracket of Power Semifinals!

HPW hears from the Trios Championships #1 Contenders Gauntlet entrants!

The Three Masters have regrouped. Garo Master doesn’t show much emotion but Master Kohga is down because he lost in the tournament. But Master Stalfos tells them both to cheer up, they have an opportunity. They can finally reach the top of the Trios Division mountain! The Poe Sisters are very excited to get this opportunity, they’re basically squeeing nonstop. But then they realize that if this is a Trios Gauntlet, only three of them get to be in the match. They argue about who is being left out, but it doesn’t seem like they’re going to be done arguing for some time…

Stal-Kid high-fives with Sir Hurr & Sir Durr, and they’re ready to “ruin things for Arrow Club.” They’ve got “a bone to pick with those ducks.” Meanwhile, Doomknocker is happy to see Darkhammer and Gooma again. Knocker wonders out loud, “Why’d HPW wait so long to call us again? Did we offend? What happened? Doesn’t matter. We’re back, and we’re going to bring that doom to everyone. Every single one of you is getting knocked out!” But the UnderWorld Order is unreachable for comments. Are they still in the Thyphlo Ruins? Will they make it to Mount Dunsel in time for the gauntlet match in March?

My Thoughts:

This is a bit of a superfluous article but the updated bracket needed to be posted. Also, the various trios needed to give their input for the gauntlet match, hence the little blurb from each one.

DJ returns to Musical Charis this week as he and Dave have a couple more tremendous bands to tell you all about. Dave kicks off this week by talking about one of the most influential and sometimes controversial bands from the emo-rock scene of the Aughts, Brand New. The boys from Long Island blazed a trail through the rock scene from the first part of this century with a level of complexity and musical development lacking from so many of their contemporaries. Dave covers their relatively short but very powerful history in this week’s Episode. DJ then talks about one of the biggest bands in the history of heavy metal, Judas Priest. A staple of the heavy metal scene in the 80s, there was no band quite like Judas Priest. From stadium anthems to radio-friendly hits to complex compositions, Judas Priest has been doing things their way since 1969, and you would be hard-pressed to find someone unfamiliar with at least one of their songs. So join us for another face-melting edition of Musical Chairs!

This week, Rey Cash returns to the Bandwagon just in time for a wildly fun Episode. For years, Marvel has teased the appearance of a certain demon named Mephisto, but his actual debut has never come to pass. This week, in Episode 3 of Agatha All Along, he still did not appear. But, for the first time, his name was uttered. What does this mean for our coven of Witches and the MCU? The guys offer up their thoughts. The Trailer Park was very eventful this week, including the latest from Ryan Coogler, our first look at Season 2 of The Last of Us, and a 3-plus minute-long trailer for Thunderbolts. In News Around the Nerdosphere, Hal Jordan has been cast for the upcoming Max series Lanterns, Alan Tudyk has a surprise role in the upcoming Superman movie, and Marvel refuses to allow Peter Parker to be married. All that, plus the guys pay their respects and say goodbye to Dame Maggie Smith.
