While the Face of Latino Wrestling ran afoul of Bullet Club Gold and lost to Jay White, Jay White seemingly ran afoul of MJF and got beat down by a gang of mysterious masked minions! Backstage interview with Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho.

Tony Schiavone is with the Best Bout Machine and The Ocho, and says that not just for the first time on Collision but the first time anywhere, these two are teaming up! Jericho says this is a big deal! For the last four years, AEW has been built on the animosity between Omega and Jericho. From the Tokyo Dome to the first Double or Nothing to the first Stadium Stampede match, Omega VS Jericho has been nothing but stellar. They’ve been at each other’s throats. But that is why, on WrestleDream Eve, before facing the Don Callis Family, Kenny & Jericho are going to figure out how to even coexist and be on the same page.

Omega says the match is set in stone, a Six Man Tag of Omega, Jericho & Kota Ibushi VS Ospreay, Takeshita & Guevara. Tonight, this right here is about coexisting. But it isn’t about “What kind of double team moves can they do? Can the win the gold together?” No. Omega and Jericho still don’t like each other. And never will. They’re not going to go to each other’s birthdays, Christmas parties, Thanksgiving dinners and the like. But Don Callis and his “family” is bigger than this. So this weekend, Omega promises to have Jericho’s back. Does Jericho have his? Yes, Jericho will have Omega’s back.

Jericho knows that tonight, it is The Gates of Agony, and tomorrow the Don Callis Family! The Demo God & The Cleaner will take them all out! Will the Winnipeggers be winning together? Or will they fall apart?

Toni Storm: Portrait of a Star, part 2.

The Lightning From Down Under again sits with RJ City, but she’s fussing with her hair. If this is a bad time, he can come back. No, no, they’re here, just roll. Then what would Toni say is the peak of her career? Peak? What? Is this not her peak? What’s he implying? Nothing, just that… Well, she failed to take the AEW Women’s World Championship back in her match with Saraya, and it just seems like- It seems like nothing! Toni peaks, peaks and peaks again! Call her when RJ has one. Then she takes RJ’s hand to tell him this business can be a cruel mistress.

She does miss the old days. It was a simpler time, a happier time. Slap on a backwards hat, slap a pie in someone’s face, they all love you. But now it’s, “What have you done for us?” If you don’t bleed and cry every week, you won’t get a good write-up! Pardon her for being a star. And if the world has forgotten what that looks like, then chin up, chest out, and she’ll just have to remind us all. Then she mistakes RJ for having taken her hand as a come-on. No, he’s not doing that all! He is not flirting, coming or anything. Then what’s his problem? Is she not good enough for him?! Uh… To be continued!

The Kingdom VS Best Friends w/ Rocky Romero!

Matt Taven & Mike Bennett are just so concerned with Roderick Strong that they’re bringing their luggage out with them so they can hit the road once this match is done. At the same time, they don’t think Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor are as good of friends as they say. Will The OGK expose them as weak friends? Or will the Best Friends prove The Kingdom isn’t as #NeckStrong as they think they are?

The teams sort out and Best Friends go right after The Kingdom! They double whip, the Kingdom reverses but Best Friends both KICK back! And then Best Friends reel The Kingdom in! Mike & Taven bail out, they’re not ready to test their necks like that. They regroup, fire back up, and Mike runs in. The bell actually rings now and Trent CHOPS Mike down! Trent throws hands, stomps Mike towards the corner, and CHOPS! Tag to Chuck, Best Friends double whip to double shoulder! And even double double gun! Chuck wrenches Mike to a BIG back suplex! Cocky cover, TWO! Tag to Trent, and Best Friends set Mike up to CHOP!

Mike sputters, Taven steps in but Trent storms up on him. Taven backs away, and Mike kicks Trent low! Tag to Taven, feed to a BOOT! FOREARM! MISSILE DROPKICK! Because “IIII’M Matt Taven!” Chuck tags in to CHOP Taven down! Chuck keeps on Taven, whips, but Taven reverses and Mike gets a cheap shot in. So Chuck DECKS Mike! Taven BOOTS Chuck and Mike drags Chuck out, but Chuck ROCKS Mike! Taven WRECKS Chuck with a dropkick! But then Trent PLANCHAS onto Taven and throws fast hands! Fans fire up as Trent runs in at Mike, but Mike THROWS him into railing!

Chuck SUPERKICKS Mike! And SUPERKICKS Trent! Chuck runs in at Mike, but Mike drop toeholds him into a chair! All four men are down but Mike grins as Collision goes picture in picture.

Mike stands on the chair to flex, and then Taven brings Chuck around to put in the ring. Cover, TWO! Taven keeps on Chuck, Mike blows a kiss to the camera meant for his wife, Maria, but Chuck fights back on Taven! Taven blocks a kick, tags Mike, and Mike trips Chuck to CATAPULT him into Taven’s GAMANGIRI! Then the MACHO ELBOW BACKBREAKER COMBO! Cover, TWO! The Kingdom is annoyed but Mike drags Chuck up and puts him in an open corner. Mike CHOPS Chuck, then ROCKS Chuck, then bumps him off buckles. Tag to Taven, and Taven suplexes for a GOURDBUSTER! Mike hits the BOSTON BAYONET! Cover, TWO!

The Kingdom is further annoyed but Taven drags Chuck up. Chuck throws body shots, but Taven spins him for a ROLLING NECKBREAKER! The Kingdom is in control as Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and Mike runs into a SEXY CHUCKIE KNEE! Mike falls, Chuck staggers, hot tag to Trent! Fans fire up as Trent rallies on Mike! Then hits a GERMAN SUPLEX! Taven goes up, leaps, but into a HALF ‘N’ HALF! The Kingdom end up in opposite corners, Trent runs to ELBOW Mike! Taven runs in but is sent into Mike! Trent then ELBOWS them both! Trent goes up while The Kingdom staggers around, and Trent DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICKS! Fans fire up with Trent as he brings Taven up. But Taven ENZIGURIS! But Chuck hits him with SOLE FOLD! Trent hits a TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO!

Trent grits his teeth, and he brings Tavne up to back suplex. Taven lands out to CHOP Trent on the back! Tag to Mike, they whip Trent to the corner, and Taven hits a GAMANGIRI! Mike hits a forearm! Taven hits a SPLASH! Feed to the DEATH VALLEY DRIVER, then JUST THE TIP! Cover, Chuck breaks it! Taven TOSSES Chuck, then goes out after him, only for Chuck to send Taven into steps! Chuck whips Mike but Mike rebounds, BOSTON BAYONET! Mike hurries to move the steel steps around, and he drags Trent out. Mike brings Trent over and up the steps, but Trent fireman’s carries! STEEL DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!!

Trent drags Mike off the steps while fans lose their minds, and Trent puts Mike in. Chuck Electric Chair Lifts, Trent goes up, BUSAIKU KNEE DOOMSDAY! Fans fire up as Best Friends stand, and HUG! You GOT to give the people what the want! Chuck reels Mike in, Trent intercepts Taven! DOUBLE PILEDRIVERS!! Cover, ROPEBREAK?! Mike survives by a literal foot! Trent can’t believe it, but he tags Chuck in. Only for Taven to trip Chuck! Trent DECKS Taven, but Mike PUNCHES TRENT IN THE WIENER!! Taven goes up while the ref is checking Trent, Mike PUNCHES CHUCK IN THE WIENER!!

Mike reels Chuck in, Taven leaps, MIND BREAKER PILEDRIVER!! Cover, The Kingdom wins!

Winners: The Kingdom, by pinfall

The Kingdom proved they’re #NeckStrong and that they’re willing to sink to any lows just to win! Mike gets the mic to say, “Wiener punch! Piledriver! Roddy Strong!” Taven says they gotta go! They got redeye flights to go back to Roddy! This isn’t for any of the “Melvins” in Seattle or the people at home! This message is for one person, and that is Adam Cole! Taven knows Cole has doctors appointments all week and even delayed his surgery. Please, if The Kingdom means anything to him, meet him at Roddy’s house! Or maybe go get surgery, “ya selfish bastard!” Just kidding, but if they mean anything to Cole, then meet them at Roddy’s.

And don’t worry, Roddy, they’re just six hours away. Stay #NeckStrong for them! What is The Kingdom getting at, guilting Cole over his ankle injury and Roddy’s neck pain?

Backstage interview with Don Callis and Prince Nana.

Alex Marvez says it is Jericho & Omega VS The Gates of Agony, and so he wants to get a word the managers. What is Callis doing talking to Nana? Callis leaves and Alex asks Nana what this is about. Nana brings up a saying: If you dig deep into the universe, you will find something there that is very, very unique. And tonight, once The Gates finish with Omega & Jericho, “we in the money~!” Is creepy Callis paying Prince Nana a boatload to make sure neither Omega nor Jericho make it to WrestleDream? Will his investment pay off?

AEW takes a closer look at WrestleDream’s TBS Championship match.

Julia Hart says, “Little girl, little girl, you are so young. And now you didn’t even see your full potential, until we showed you. Now, you are reborn.” The Lady of the House of Black has torn into the division, and now has this title opportunity. Kris Statlander doesn’t want to tear Julia down, but she is a fighting champion. She is THE Fighting Champion. And a “spooky little b*tch” like Julia is no match for Kris.

Julia Hart w/ Brody King VS Vertvixen!

Well, that “spooky little b*tch” is in action not even 24 hours before the title match. Will the Lady of the House have even more momentum going into WrestleDream? Or is this a trap game before taking on the Galaxy’s Greatest?

The bell rings and the two approach. Vert swings, misses and Julia ROCKS her! Then LARIATS! Julia thrashes Vert around, then lets off with a primal yell! Vert scrambles to ropes, Julia storms up on her and CHOKES her on the ropes! The ref counts, Julia lets off at 4, and Vert sputters and cough. Julia stomps Vert, brings her up, but Vert throws heavy hands! Julia bumps Vert off buckles, then throws hands! Julia runs corner to corner to handspring and clothesline! Julia keeps moving, and she KNEES Vert in the corner! Julia snapmares, then KICKS Vert in the back! Julia drags Vert up, thrashes her around some more, but fans rally.

Vert throws hands, Julia CLUBS Vert and whips her to another corner. Julia runs in but Vert dodges! Vert runs up but into a BOOT! Vert wobbles, blocks the next boot and she ROCKS Julia! Fans fire up, Vert throws another forearm, and then runs corner to corner. But Julia DOUBLE STOMPS her down! Fans fire up as Julia glares at Vert. Julia steps on Vert, goes up the corner, and MOONSAULTS! Cover, Julia wins!

Winner: Julia Hart, by pinfall

The Lady of the House now hits 28-0 going into the title match! And she gets a mic to tell, “Oh~ Kris~! I don’t think I can’t wait until tomorrow. I think you should come out here right now!” And so here comes the champ! But she’s not alone, she has her Best Friends with her! Mama Kris storms down the ramp, Chuck, Trent & Rocky following. Kris gets in the ring but Brody of course stands in her way. But that’s what the boys are for! Julia has Brody stand down, and then Kris has Best Friends stand down. Kris eggs Julia on since she called for this fight! Julia raises her hand, but then smirks and backs out.

Fans boo, it seems Hartless is also gutless. Kris gets the mic to tell Julia that she can run away tonight. But tomorrow, she will be in the ring with not only the TBS Champion, but the Defeater of the Undefeated! Fans cheer that reference, and Kris tells Julia that the clock is ticking. Tomorrow night, WrestleDream, TIME’S UP! Will Mama Kris put little Julia to bed? Or will the House Always Win?

Claudio Castagnoli speaks.

The Swiss Superman says that though he lost the ROH World Championship, he has never felt so good to have a weight lifted off his shoulders. You don’t need to be a champion to act like one. You just need to find what keeps you going. And what keeps him going is this sport. And there is an event dedicated to the sport he has dedicated his life to, he will challenge anyone who thinks they are man enough to step to him! So Josh Barnett accepts! Everyone loves talking about challenges. How they’ll overcome this, how they’ll conquer that, and claim to lay something out so that they can be at the top of the mountain.

But every so often, people really aren’t ready to endure what they set forth. War is ageless, and the ring is a field of combat. Wherever there is a ring, you will find him. Tomorrow night, WrestleDream, Barnett will show Claudio what a challenge can become. This match is made for the Zero Hour, who is truly #WarReady?

Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega VS The Gates of Agony w/ Prince Nana!

Two rivals united by a common enemy are looking for retribution at WrestleDream! But will The Ocho & The Cleaner make the ultimate duo in AEW? Or will Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona do Don Callis’ dirty work?

The teams sort out and fans rally for “KENNY! KENNY!” while Jericho starts against Liona. Fans then rally up for Jericho as he circles with Liona. Nana is upset at just how loud the fans are for Jericho. Jericho and Liona tie up, then Liona shoves Jericho. Jericho CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Liona just HEADBUTTS Jericho down! Liona drags Jericho up to CHOP him to the corner. Tag to Kaun, Liona RAMS into Jericho, then backs off. Kaun SLAPS Liona to fire him up, and then whips him in to SPLASH Jericho! Feed to Kaun’s LARIAT! Cover, ONE!! Kaun stomps Jericho’s hand, then drags him up.

Kaun puts Jericho in a corner, tag to Liona and the Gates mug him! The ref counts but Nana loves it. But then Jericho fights back with haymakers! Liona & Kaun mug Jericho again, choke him, and fans boo! The ref has to keep Omega back, and then reprimands the Gates. Liona whips Jericho, but Jericho KICKS back! Tag to Omega and fans fire up! Omega GAMANGIRIS Liona, bumps him off buckles, and again, and again, and again! Liona just roars! Omega ducks the haymaker to HOTSHOT Liona away! Omega then hurries to a corner, climbs up, and CROSSBODIES! Omega keeps moving and he brings Liona around.

Omega tries to suplex but Liona’s too big! Liona suplexes Omega but Jericho makes the save! Jericho & Omega manage to DOUBLE SUPLEX Liona! Fans fire up and even they’re surprised that worked! Jericho throws some headlock punches, then Omega CLUBS Liona. Omega CHOPS but Linoa shoves him. Omega kicks and CLUBS and CHOPS Liona, then wrenches. Liona reaches out, but Omega keeps him from Kaun. Liaon braeks free but Omega blocks the shot to CHOP! And CHOP! Omega runs, but Nana trips him up! Liona then runs to CLOBBER Omega into Jericho! Nana is happy now as Liona drags Omega up and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Kaun, and the Gates mug Omega. Kaun brings Omega around, snap suplexes, and then rolls to wrench and waistlock, GERMAN SUPLEX!

Kaun drags Omega up again, but Omega throws elbows! Kaun ducks under to hit the BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Kaun’s take on Three Amigos didn’t finish this, but he tags in Liona. The Gates double whip Omega, then Kaun runs in. Omega boots, Kaun blocks, and he puts Omega in ropes to DRAPING BACKSTABBER! Liona adds a BIG elbow drop! Cover, TWO! Omega hangs tough and Nana is upset, but Liona CHOKES Omega on ropes! The ref counts and fans rally, and Liona lets off. Liona brings Omega up but Omega throws hands! Fans rally but Liona URENAGES! Tag to Kaun, and he pushes Omega for a cover, ONE!

Kaun drags Omega up and CLUBS him! Nana tells Jericho to shut up, and then Kaun puts Omega on ropes to CHOKE him, and CLUB him! The ref counts as Kaun CLUBS away, but Kaun lets off at 4. Liona CLAWS Omega’s face! Nana even gets some shots in! Fans boo, but the ref sees Liona step on Omega. Kaun tags Liona and kicks Omega out. Liona CLOBBERS Omega against the desk! And RAMS him into the apron! Liona CLUBS Omega, but Omega throws elbows! Liona HEADBUTTS Omega, puts him in the ring, and then covers, TWO! Nana is frustrated but Liona drags Omega up.

Liona scoops Omega to put him on ropes, to throw KNEE after KNEE! Fans still rally for Omega but Liona dumps him down. Tag to Kaun and Kaun slingshot SENTONS! Cover, ROPEBREAK! Omega survives but Kaun is amused. Kaun drags Omega up, but Omega throws body shots! Kaun KNEES low, then distracts the ref so Liona can BITE Omega! Kaun endures, Nana freaks out, but Nana taps! Jericho & Omega win!

Winners: Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega, by submission

The Ocho & The Cleaner shake hands, having successfully become a team! And now they will add the Golden Star, Kota Ibushi, against Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita & Will Ospreay! Jericho gets a mic to say, “Alright, Seattle! I have to say, after what you just saw, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho proved we can coexist together!” Fans cheer that! Omega says Jericho said it himself, coexistence is NOT part of a grand scheme to become the greatest team in AEW. This is bigger than that! This is about Don Callis, who when Omega was brainwashed, never listened to the fans telling him, “Creepy Don this, Creepy Don that.”

Omega never believed the fans because he was blinded. But now Omega has seen the light, and all it took was for Callis to spend $30,000 just so he and Takeshita could fly to Japan and hurt the ones Omega loves. It hit Omega right in the heart. But Omega says it will take more than an assault to make Omega turn his back on his friends. And Ibushi, who has lived a life of fighting, takes a beating like that as an invitation! So tomorrow, WrestleDream, aside from the fact it is a PPV, that it is another chance for each and every one of the fans here to meet them, it is time for the original Alpha and Omega to spell the beginning of the end of Don Callis!

Fans cheer that, and Jericho promises tomorrow at WrestleDream, here in Seattle, Kenny, Kota & The Ocho VS The Don Callis Family… Takeshita is one of the greatest in the world today; Ospreay is the man who beat both Jericho and Omega within the course of a month; and the worst of all, Sammy Guevara! What has he become now that he’s betrayed everyone he’s ever loved? Sammy, YOU are the Ultimate Judas, ya little bastard! And last week, Sammy said he was the hero and Jericho’s the villain? You’re damn right! So Jericho will ruin Sammy’s dreams, goals and his entire LIFE!!

Tomorrow, the villain takes out all of his aggressions from teaming with Sammy these last four years out ON Sammy! Jericho, Omega, Ibushi, they’re coming for the Family!! Jericho is all fired up, will he and the reunited Golden Lovers tear down all that Don Callis has built?

The Righteous speak.

Dutch says, “Gentlemen! It’s time to take that final step towards the terrifying truth.” Vincent echoes, “Terrifying truth, man! And the truth is, we don’t need to physically hurt the two of you. You’re just faking. And that’s enough for two people being held together by a thread. And another thing: Devil or not, nobody can hurt the two of us more than we can hurt ourselves. So what power do you really think you have over us?” The deadline is getting closer, and karma is coming. The Righteous will rip apart the bond of the brochachos: the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Dig what he’s saying, man?

AEW looks closer at the coming TNT Championship.

Darby Allin says, “I’ve waited to be in the main event for so long. There was always a voice in the back of my head saying, ‘You don’t deserve any of this.’ The only time I felt validated was when I was TNT Champion. And then you get a guy like Christian Cage. He’s got the one thing that didn’t make me feel like s*it in this whole entire world.”

But Christian Cage says he doesn’t care. He asked for the 2 out of 3 Falls match to expose Darby in his hometown. Christian continues to rub in that Darby’s uncle is dead, but Darby vows not to win in Seattle. Christian knows Darby won’t go away until he makes Darby go away. Darby embraces putting his life on the line, but he will know what it is for his career to die. This will be the perfect ending for Darby, falling in front of his friends and family at the feet of THE TNT Champion. Will Captain Charisma be the one to bring down the Relentless Icon not once, but twice?

The Righteous VS Travis Williams & Judas Icarus!

We just heard from Dutch & Vincent, and Dutch is even wearing a Burberry scarf as a shot at MJF. Will they be rolling into WrestleDream? Or are they overlooking the Golden Boy and The Born Sinner?

The bell rings and Vinnie starts against Icarus. They tie up, Icarus waistlocks and avoid the elbows. They move around, Travis tags in, and Icarus whips Vinnie to the corner. Travis goes up and over, then Icarus runs in to hold Vinnie in the corner for Travis’ DROPKICK! Vinnie staggers, Travis tags Icarus and Icarus whips,. But Vinnie reveres to CLOBBER Icarus, then RAM him into the corner! Tag to Dutch, and Dutch CLUBS Icarus on the back! Icarus fires up to CHOP, but Dutch just laughs! Icarus CHOPS and CHOPS but Dutch CHOPS right back! Icarus sits down, out of air! Dutch CLUBS Travis on the ropes!

Tag to Vinnie and Dutch stands Icarus up for a KNEE! Dutch then brings Icarus around for a short arm LARIAT! Dutch grins as he sits Icarus up for Vinnie’s SLIDING FLATLINER! Dutch hauls Travis up with a COBRA CLUTCH, and then ripcord BOSS MAN SLAM! Vinnie hauls Icarus up, for AUTUMN SUNSET! Cover, The Righteous win!

Winners: The Righteous, by pinfall

Dutch & Vincent are rolling, and then they get the mics. “Dutch, look at all the paper people strung together. It’s the same paper people who believe that MJF truly is The Devil. But y’know something? He is the Devil. The Devil pulls the strings that make us dance. The same strings, man, that are tied to that liar, Adam Cole. So at WrestleDream, not only is the Righteous going to become the ROH World Tag Team Champions, we’re gonna make sure that The Devil leaves with one hoof! Clickity clack, just like his brochacho! Dutch, dig what I’m saying?” The Righteous then bring out a wood block? Vinnie takes that block, and he puts it between Icarus’s legs!

Dutch grabs a chair, pulls the boots off Icarus, and Vinnie has the chair! They SMASH Icarus’ feet! Icarus writhes in misery, will these two shining examples take the titles from Better Than You, Baybay?

AEW looks closer at the NJPW Strong & ROH World Championship double title match.

The Mad King is putting up both belts against Katsuyori Shibata because WrestleDream embodies what Antonio Inoki wanted for pro-wrestling. Shibata says that he has to do this for Inoki. “He is my roots. I’m ready to inherit and take over. I respect Eddie Kingston, but I plan to win.” Eddie says the people can talk about whatever match they want, but this match is all about fighting spirit. Will The mad King still have two crowns? Or will The Wrestler force everyone, even NJPW, to acknowledge him?

Zero Hour adds ONE MORE MATCH!

In a unique all-star scenario of its own, it will be a Mixed 8 Person Tag! Keith Lee teams with Satoshi Kojima, Athena & Billie Starkz against Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, Mercedes Martinez & Diamante! Will the Limitless One, the King of Bread Style, the Fallen Goddess and her Minion make Seattle #BaskInTheirGlory? Or will Shane Taylor Promotions, the OG Badass and the Cuban Diamond prove everyone has their limits?

Backstage interview with TMDK.

Tony Schiavone is with Bad Dude Tito, Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls ahead of WrestleDream’s Zero Hour and their match for the AEW World Trios Championships. Tito says TMDK is back from Japan, and looks to stoke the flames. But then The Acclaimed walk in to say hello. Billy Gunn wants to welcome TMDK to AEW, and he hears they’ve got a huge match as part of Zero Hour. Oh that’s right! It’s against THE ACCLAIMED! So if TMDK don’t know who they are, the are the AEW World Trios Champions, and have been the past THIRTY FOUR DAYS! And take it from Anthony Bowens, “The Best Sciz in the Biz,” EVERYONE! LOVES! THE ACCLAIMED!

The champs head out, but Shane says you don’t think they know this game? Two teams can play this game! Mikey, give him a beat! What? Nevermind, Shane will do it. Shane tries to beat box, then raps. “We’re T M D K, and we’re here to say, we’re gonna kick your ass in a mighty way!” Mikey says stop, Shane’s just making them look like nerds. But presentation is only part of the game, will Hysterical Haste, Mad Mikey and Bad Dude Tito prove The Mighty Don’t Kneel?

ZSJ nods, pushes Bryan again, but Bryan gets his arm to wrangle him down!

ZSJ slips away and fans boo! The Front Man and the American Dragon are finally facing off, but who will be living the WrestleDream?

My Thoughts:

A really good Collision for a go-home episode, but still not that good. Why must there always be so much talking? Isn’t that what the Countdown special is for? All the promo stuff is on that so that they don’t need to use time on these shows for it? Though the little moment of Callis and Nana was fine, it gave us a reason as to why we even got Jericho & Omega VS The Gates of Agony. Great match from Omega & Jericho VS The Gates, and of course Omega & Jericho won, but their promo bit after felt like one beat too long. And Julia of course won this little go-home match and had her little faceoff with Kris, but Kris is definitely winning on WrestleDream. I do like that they acknowledged Kris already broke one undefeated streak (Jade Cargill’s) so she could really make that a thing.

The Righteous having a promo vignette and then a promo after their squash match win was a bit much. Just give us one or the other, since they also had a squash win last night on Rampage. Great stuff from The Kingdom, though. They have a really good match with Best Friends and have a really clever post match promo there, that was definitely worth it compared to the other stuff. Andrade VS Juice was great stuff for an opening match, I’m just not sure about CJ Perry watching the match. While CJ Perry managing Andrade El Idolo would technically fit into the story with Miro (El Idolo = The Idol; idols worshipped over God, who Miro believes in but doesn’t follow), I’d much rather have El Idolo and La Faccion Ingobernable reunite and CJ finds someone else.

And great stuff out of the 8 Man Tag main event. ZSJ razzing on Bryan the whole time was great commentary, but it also pointed out how Bryan was so obviously being saved from taking most of the damage in the match. Bryan VS ZSJ is going to be great but it makes sense they don’t want Bryan to be all banged up going into the match. And something about the finish does feel like a miscue, but the show was going into overtime, they had to wrap that match up somehow. Great brawl to end the show, though, so the various matches can still go either way. Starks should definitely beat Yuta to make up for losing twice to Bryan, though.

My Score: 8.7/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!

Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands! Cope DECKS Dax, and wait, Christian and Cash are brawling in the crowd! Same for Matt and Connors! Finlay CLAWS Nick’s face, Cassidy ROCKS Dax, and Cassidy whips. Dax reverses, Cassidy goes up and out to then SMACK Dax off buckles! Cassidy goes up, Ciampa BOOTS Nick, and Dax trips Cassidy. Dax CHOPS Cassidy, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans boo but Dax stands Cassidy up, SUPER DUPER PLEX!

Dax then rolls through to suplex again, but Cassidy STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRES! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! Dynamite returns to single picture as Dax UPPERCUTS Christian back to the corner. Stoke is on commentary suddenly to say Christian tried to steal Stoke’s watch, aka the watch Stoke stole from Christian.

But Christian fires back on Dax and the whole corner! Then he and Dax DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Christian crawls, but we can see Cash and The Dogs sneaking over! They and Ciampa YANK down Cope, Cassidy and The Bucks! The fans boo but Dax drags Christian back to center. Dax kicks and scuffs Christian, then talks trash. Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.

Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!

The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.

Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.

Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!

The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10

Ricochet hides, Davis deadlifts Jack, COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, DAVIS WINS!

Winner: Mark Davis, by pinfall (NEW AEW National Champion)

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.

He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Backstage interview with Don Callis, Mark Davis and Ricochet.

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis says he’s thrilled! Jack just gifted him his ultimate fantasy! A chance to beat up Jericho, The Bucks AND Kenny, all on one night? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

The teams sort out, Lena starts against Slay, and the clock is ticking! Slay DROPKICKS, but Lena doesn’t budge! Ley ENZIGIRIS, but Lena still doesn’t flinch! Ley & Slay double kick, but Lena blocks the double whip! Lena whips them, ELBOWS Slay and SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAMS Ley! Then she scoops Slay to SLAM her onto Ley! Lena drags Ley up, whips her to the corner, then runs up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Tag to Megan and the Divine Dominion run side to side! BOOT from Lena, BOOT from Megan! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! Ley tumbles, the fans cheer, and Megan tags Lena back in. Lena storms up on Ley to GERMAN SUPLEX again!

The fans cheer as Lena tags Megan back in. We’ve hit 90 seconds, but it feels like forever for Ley as Megan GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Megan kips up, then she stalks Ley. Megan eggs Ley on, slaps her around, then drags her up. Megan fireman’s carries, but Slay manages to tag in! Slay runs up, but Megan scoops her! FALL AWAY SLAM SAMOAN DROP COMBO! They’ve made it two minutes but that might be all! Tag to Lena, she and Megan get Slay up, DIVINE INTERVENTION! Cover, Divine Dominion wins!

Winners: The Divine Dominion, by pinfall (denies Slay & Ley a title opportunity)

Two minutes and 15 seconds is all Slay & Ley got, will any team last even that long? Or will the Divine Dominion continue to dominate AEW until the end of time?

BREAKING NEWS for Double or Nothing!

The Triangle of Madness may have misted Persephone and injured Alex Windsor, but that only heaps on more trouble for the champion! Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?

Don Callis speaks, again.

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.

“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.

Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!

This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!

Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs  that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall

A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!

Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!

Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.

Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!

Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!

Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!

The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!

The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!

The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!

AEW medical staff is already checking Darby as he’s down in the wreckage, but Pac says screw that! He fireman’s carries Darby and puts him back in the ring! Pac covers, TWO!!! Darby survives and the fans are thunderous! Pac and The Death Riders are in shock! Pac falls back to a corner as he shakes his head. Pac argues with the ref, but 2.99 still isn’t 3! The fans rally for Darby, but Pac storms over to him. Pac looms over Darby, Yuta slides a chair into the ring, but the ref snatches it away! Only for Marina to slide the title belt in! Pac takes aim while Darby rises, but then Darby springs to life! Pac has seen a ghost, or maybe a zombie!

Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.

I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.

Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.

Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
