Bryan and Darius nod, tie up, and Bryan wrenches, hammerlocks, headlocks and hits the takeover. Darius headscissors, Bryan gets free, but Darius headlocks for the takeover. Bryan headscissors, Darius kips free, and the fans cheer the standoff. The two reset, knuckle lock, and go around. They go shoulder to shoulder, Bryan rolls back and wrenches to wrangle and arm-drag Darius! Darius kips up, wrenches and waistlocks to then spin Bryan for a cravat. Bryan pries at the hold, then shifts to a chinlock.

Darius fights up, powers up and out, but Bryan runs him over! Things speed up, Darius arm-drags! The fans cheer as Darius has Bryan with the cording hold. The Aerial Assassin will be facing Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship at Double or Nothing, so he’s going to sharpen that blade until it’s time to strike. Will the #BillyGOAT be able to cut through #TAIGASTYLE on the way to Las Vegas? Or will Lee Moriarty prove that he should be the one going for the gold?

But of course, The Savior of the Backbreaker would have to join commentary for this match so he can keep a close eye on Ospreay. Ospreay springboards, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Cover, TWO! Lee survives but Ospreay just brings Lee up. Ospreay kicks, then Kawada Kicks! Ospreay underhooks, and Roddy dares the “fraud” to use the Storm Driver! Ospreay gives more Kawada kicks, but Lee blocks the chop! Lee SNAPS fingers, then reels Ospreay in! FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO! Ospreay survives and Roddy says hesitating like that against Roddy means you lose. Lee drags Ospreay up, reels him back in, but Ospreay fights the suplex to wrench out. Lee blocks the haymaker, has the fingers, but Ospreay breaks free to ROCK Lee! Lee ENZIGIRIS back!

But Liona POUNCES Swerve down! Liona brings steel steps over, and he tells Prince Nana this is all his fault! Liona gets some space, runs in, but Swerve CLOBBERS Liona with a cinder block!! The former Embassy should’ve remembered that one!

Swerve drags Liona around, gets a chair, scares Cage off, and then brings those steps over. Swerve drags Liona up, puts him on the steps, and in a message also to Christian Cage, FULL METAL CON-CHAIR-TO!!! Swerve has slayed the beast and the fans tell him he’s sick! But will he have to go back to those old vicious ways if he’s to destroy The Patriarchy?

Collision returns as the AEW World Champion chuckles. He says he tried to be the company guy, to be what he thought AEW needed, the face of the company, all that. But some are saying that ever since winning the world title, he’s gone soft, he isn’t the Swerve that got him here in the first place. Those people are taking advantage of Swerve. Christian Cage & The Patriarch, and then the EVPs, and now his own freakin’ people! Embassy, he brought you into this world, so he had to take you out. The only one left is Brian Cage. So this Wednesday, on Dynamite, in his home state of Washington, Brian gets his shot at the AEW World Champion.

Garcia whips, KM reverses and runs in, but Garcia dodges the elbow! Garcia goes up to rain down fists! The fans count along all the way to nine, and Garcia DANCES on KM’s face! Garcia lets off while the fans cheer, and KM staggers around. Garcia storms up, reels him in, and SAIDOS!! The fans fire up again as Garcia storms up, reels KM in, DRAGON SLEEPER! They end up in a corner, the ref counts, and Tommy lets off. The fans rally up as the two go again, and Tommy arm-drags fast! The fans applaud while Dax and Tommy reset again. Dax CHOPS, shakes out his hand from hitting so hard, and then puts Tommy in a corner. Tommy kicks back, HEADBUTTS and CHOPS!

Tommy whips, Dax reverses to wrench and LARIAT! Dax shakes out the arm, which is bandaged up, but he still snap suplexes! Leg drop! Cover, TWO! Dax whips Tommy, Tommy hurdles, then he SHOTGUNS! Dax tries again but Tommy turns lift into cradle, TWO!!! Dax escapes by a narrow margin, but Tommy jumps on, O’Conner into OWEN HART CLUTCH! TWO!! Dax runs up, but into a BOOT! Tommy goes up and hops onto Dax, but Dax spins him around! SLINGSHOT POWERBOMB!! Cover, Dax wins!

BREAKING NEWS for Wednesday Night Dynamite!

The Don Callis Family is looking for payback given the injury Will Hobbs suffered in his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against Jon Moxley. Moxley is defending said title in California as part of NJPW Resurgence, but he’ll be back with AEW this Wednesday, teaming alongside Bryan Danielson against Kyle Fletcher & Jeff Cobb! It’s a United Empire reunion, will the Imperial Unit help the Aussie Arrow avenge The Powerhouse?

It was after the show went off the air on Wednesday that Matthew, Nicholas, The Rainmaker and Jack Perry regrouped backstage. Kazuchika Okada told Dax that he wants a match with Dax for Dynamite! The EVPs said it’s official then. And Jack says that last year, at Double or Nothing, he was in the Four Pillars Fatal 4, and he had never been so miserable. But this year, he still gets a black eye from Kenny Omega, has all these b*tches pulling his hair, and yet he’s never felt so alive. This year, he’s not a pillar but the cornerstone of this! And at Anarchy in the Arena, he cannot wait! “All of you are dead!”

The EVPs say didn’t you see what they did just last year in Vegas in that same match? Oh hey, look who it is! Christopher Daniels walks by and the Bucks stop him. They ask him what was up with him getting in the middle of their business! He’s doing his job? The job they hired him to do? How much money has he made these past five years? You’re welcome! How about Daniels stays back with the headset- Daniels explodes on Matt! Who does Matt think he’s talking to? After all they’ve been through, they just think Daniels is their lackey? He’s been here since day one because he EARNED this job! He put his own in-ring career aside to make AEW the best it could be!

And most of all, Daniels was their friend when being their friend was the hardest job of all. So if they ever talk to him like that, he’ll beat their asses! Daniels shoves Matt and storms off, leaving the Bucks speechless.

Now live in the present, Daniels says, “I’ll never enjoy my success so much that I forget the sacrifices it took to get there. But Matt & Nick, you seem to have forgotten where you come from.” Daniels has had this AEW All Access pass from day one, when it all happened. The Bucks, SCU, Tony Khan & Kenny Omega–y’know, two guys The Bucks put on the shelf–were there, doing the work to make AEW the best wrestling company on the planet. Five years later, they’re set to reap the benefits, but The Bucks want to make it about themselves! Daniels won’t let that happen.

This past Wednesday, The Bucks tried to start a riot in the ring, but Daniels did his job to keep the peace. And yet, The Bucks go and talk down to him? Like he’s a servant? Like he’s less than? Well Matt & Nick, you found out he won’t just cower when they speak and now their feelings are hurt. So now as a form of punishment, Daniels has to get a tag partner and meet The Bucks in a match? Well okay. Then Matt Sydal, the original high-flyer, the Zen Assassin, is an easy choice. They’ve held championships together before, and they know what it takes. But Daniels says that this pass won’t be in play, his heart will!

The title of EVP won’t matter in that match, either! And as far as punishment, yeah, someone is getting punished. But not who The Bucks think. Will Matt & Nick be humbled for once? Or will they abuse their power and grow their egos instead?

Collision returns as the #TopGuys are backstage, and Dax says he’s been doing this 20 years. And in those 20 years, he’s never fought in a match as brutal or dangerous as Anarchy in the Arena. And apparently, the only two guys around here that make both shows (Dynamite and Collision) are the workhorses of AEW. That’s okay with him, too, because that’s what he gets paid for. But this Wednesday, following this great match tonight against Tommy Billington, now Dax must fight a man who may be the greatest of all time in Kazuchika Okada. A first-time-ever match. This ain’t no pattycake NJPW “Young Boy” crap either. This is pro-wrestling! This is AEW, where the best wrestle.

And Dax promises Okada that come Dynamite, Okada ain’t ever fought someone like Dax. #TopGuysOut. Will the Ax fire the first shot by taking down The Rainmaker? Or will be be the one taken down by The Rainmaker?

Thunder Rosa VS Robyn Renegade!

La Mera Mera wants to tear into The Virtuosa, but she’ll just have to wait a moment for that. Will she send a message to Deonna Purrazzo through this match? Or will this Renegade send a message of her own to all of AEW?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Rosa puts Robyn on ropes. Robyn turns things around, they go around more, and the fans rally for Rosa as she arm-drags. Robyn holds onto the collar ‘n’ elbow to return that arm-drag, but Rosa also holds on. Robyn uses her height to put Rosa in a corner, but Rosa powers Robyn all the way to the other corner! Robyn turns things around again, but Rosa goes up the corner. Robyn lets off, pats Rosa on the shoulders, then mocks her. But Rosa BOOTS Robyn down! Rosa then leaps over, arm-drags Robyn around, then DROPKICKS her down! The fans fire up with Rosa and she storms back up on Robyn.

Rosa puts Robyn on the ropes to CHOP! The fans cheer, and Rosa CHOPS again! Rosa brings Robyn around but Robyn puts Rosa on ropes, to DOUBLE CHOP! Robyn CHOPS again, then brings Rosa around to whip. Rosa reverses, Robyn reverses, but Rosa reverses again! Robyn ends up on the apron, Rosa ROUNDHOUSES her down! Rosa then builds speed, but has to stop the dive as Robyn ducks! Robyn BOOTS Rosa into barriers! Robyn soaks up heat, the fans boo, but Robyn talks trash as Collision goes picture in picture.

Robyn puts Rosa in the ring, storms in after her, and covers, TWO! Robyn is annoyed, but she stalks Rosa. Robyn slaps Rosa, Rosa throws body shots, but Robyn CLUBS Rosa onto ropes! Robyn CHOKES Rosa, bends her against ropes, but lets off as the ref counts. Robyn whips and ELBOWS Rosa down! Robyn flexes, tosses her hair, then soaks up the heat. Robyn then wraps on a chinlock and she squeezes tight. Rosa endures, even as Robyn leans on her. Rosa pushes back to make it a cover, TWO! Rosa has the SEATED SURFBOARD! Rosa rocks and rocks and brings Robyn up into the ROCKING HORSE! Robyn endures so Rosa SLAMS her down! Cover, TWO!

Rosa drags Robyn into a chinlock, and then traps the arms for a CAMEL CLUTCH! Robyn endures, fights free, throws some elbows, but Rosa CLUBS her down. Rosa drags Robyn up, Robyn fires body shots and DOUBLE CHOPS! Rosa staggers to a corner, Robyn storms up and stands her up. Robyn CHOPS, then drags Rosa out to snapmare. Robyn chinlocks and she grinds Rosa down. Rosa fights up, throws body shots, but Robyn knees low. Collision returns to single picture as Robyn whips Rosa to a corner. Robyn runs up, blocks boots, puts Rosa in the ropes, but Rosa slips free. Robyn avoids Rosa’s shoulder to KNEE her first!

Robyn runs side to side to JUMP STOMP Rosa down! Cover, TWO! Rosa is still in this and Robyn grows frustrated. Robyn drags Rosa up, clinches, but Rosa fights free to CLUB Robyn down! Robyn staggers, Rosa runs up and LARIATS! And LARIATS again! Then a CODE BREAKER! The fans rally, Rosa has Robyn on ropes and runs in to DROPKICK! Rosa nods and hopes Deonna saw that one. Cover, TWO! Robyn survives but Rosa brings her up. Rosa scrapes laces on Robyn’s face, then talks some trash. Rosa drags Robyn up, wrenches, and RAMS her! Then wrenches to RAM her again! Rosa steps over, Robyn uses that to pump handle! BITTER END!

Rosa flounders away but Robyn pursues. Rosa kicks Robyn away, but Robyn comes back to stomp her! The fans boo but Robyn soaks it up. Robyn goes up the corner, to MOONSAULT FLOP! Rosa DOUBLE STOMPS Robyn, then puts her in the COBRA CLUTCH STRETCH!! Robyn taps, Rosa wins!

Lexy Nair is with Mr. & Mrs. TV Ready and says they asked for this time, so what do they want to say? Taya thanks Lexy and says they are so excited to be here in Vancouver for the first time with AEW. But what was that game yesterday? Ew. Johnny says it only made him realize that this town is full of Van-LOSERS! Get it? These two are in AEW because this is where the best wrestle! That is why Johnny wants a fight with The Bastard, Pac! And Johnny will do what no one else can, and that’s beat Pac! Then Mr. & Mrs. TV make out… Johnny Loves Taya, but will he hate The Bastard after facing him 1v1?

Hook speaks.

“Chris Jericho. When you first made the offer to advise me, to stand by my side, I had my hesitations. I said to you, ‘Chris, I know who you are.’ So the way everything’s gone down recently, yeah, it’s pissed me off. The things you’ve done have pissed me off, Jericho. But none of this surprised me. And you said to me, ‘Hook, I know who you can be.’ Jericho, you don’t know who or what I can be. But I can’t wait to show you.” The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil is on his way back, will he chop The Learning Tree down with his own two hands?

AEW TNT Championship: Adam “Edge” Copeland VS Kyle O’Reilly!

The Rated R Superstar has been running through the walls of the House of Black, but he needed help fighting them off. In stepped #CombatKyle, and that was very much appreciated. However, Kyle couldn’t help but ask this favor, given AEW is now in his hometown. Will Kyle make the most of this ultimate opportunity? Or will the Cope Open continue on through this Collision?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who wins a Canadian dream match!

The bell rings and the fans fire up already. Edge smiles as he and Kyle circle. The two shake hands, then tie up. They’re in a deadlock, then break, and “This is Awesome!” Kyle and Edge go again, Kyle waistlocks, but Edge pries free to wrench. They go around, Edge double wristlocks but Kyle puts him on ropes. The ref counts, Kyle lets off clean, and the fans cheer. Kyle and Edge reset, tie up, and Edge headlocks. The fans rally for Kyle as he powers up and wrenches the hold open. Edge fights the top wristlock to get the double wristlock back, but Kyle wrenches through to facelock. Kyle then waistlocks, headlocks, and grinds the hold.

Edge powers up and out, but Kyle goes up and over to headlock for the takeover! The fans cheer, but Edge fights up to his feet. Edge throws body shots, powers out, but Kyle goes up. Edge stays back, but Kyle avoids the arm-drag! Kyle hits the headlock takeover and the fans cheer. Edge keeps his shoulders up, fights to get the headscissors, but Kyle shrugs that off. Edge stands, powers up and out, but Kyle holds ropes. Edge runs up but Kyle puts him on the apron! Edge throws in a shoulder but Kyle catches him for a headlock! Kyle drags Edge into the ring but Edge powers up, only for Kyle to hit the takeover again!

The fans cheer again as Kyle grinds the headlock. Edge fights up, Kyle wrenches and KNEES the arm! Kyle wrangles Edge to hammerlock the arm and then he KNEES the arm! And ELBOWS Edge in the ribs! And ELBOWS and KNEES the other side! Kyle runs to SLIDING KNEE! The fans fire up again while Kyle storms up on Edge in a corner. Kyle whips, Edge reverses and Kyle hits buckles hard! Kyle falls back but Edge is also down and the fans rally up. Edge gets up to kick Kyle to ropes, then brings him around, for a GUTBUSTER! Kyle sputters again, but Edge also has to catch his breath a bit.

Edge drags Kyle up, whips Kyle to a corner hard again, and Kyle again falls back! Edge storms up to KNEE Kyle in the side! Edge CLUBS Kyle, CLUBS him again, then drags Kyle up. Edge shoves and RAMS into Kyle’s stomach! Kyle staggers, Edge shoves and RAMS Kyle again! Kyle staggers, Edge shoves again, but Kyle catches him for a facelock! Only for Edge to hang Kyle out to dry! Edge runs to BLAST Kyle off the apron! Kyle hits the floor, the fans are torn, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Edge catches his breath while Kyle is down on the outside. The ring count starts, passes 5 of 10, but Kyle gets up at 7. Kyle stands at the apron but Edge WRECKS him with a dropkick! Edge goes out after Kyle, brings him up, and puts him back in the ring. Edge then drags Kyle to a corner and bends him against the post! The ref counts, Edge lets off at 4, but then shakes out the arms before rolling into the ring. Edge storms over to Kyle, brings him up and snapmares him down. Edge wraps on body scissors and squeezes tight! Kyle endures, reaches out, then works to undo the hold. Kyle throws some elbows but Edge chinbars in return!

The ref checks shoulders, Kyle keeps his up and fights around. Kyle spins through the scissors to rain down forearms! Kyle then stands to headlock, only for Edge to hit a BIG back suplex! Both men are down again while the fans rally up. Edge rises first, goes to the apron, then goes to a corner. Edge climbs, Collision returns to single picture, but Kyle ROCKS him first! Kyle ROCKS Edge again, climbs up, and Kyle brings Edge up. Edge fights the superplex and throws body shots! Edge HEADBUTTS Kyle down, adjusts, and MACHO ELBOWS into an ARMBAR!! Kyle has Edge’s arm caught, but Edge fights to roll back!

Edge gets his arm free to HAMMER away on Kyle’s back! Then he clamps on a CROSSFACE!! Kyle endures, fights around, reaches out, but Edge pulls back! Kyle still gets a foot around for the ROPEBREAK! The fans fire up as both men rise again. Edge has Kyle on the ropes, brings him around, but Kyle YANKS the arm! Edge ROCKS Kyle, ROCKS him again, but Kyle KNEES low! Kyle reels Edge in but Edge suplexes for a GUTBUSTER! Kyle staggers, but yoyos back to LARIAT!! The fans are thunderous while both men are down! Kyle stands, he blocks Edge’s boot, KICKS then fires off knee after knee! Then another KICK! A CHOP! And a KNEE!

Edge blocks a kick, but Kyle blocks the haymaker to SWEEP the leg! Edge goes to a corner, Kyle runs in to forearm SMASH! Kyle whips corner to corner but Edge reverses. Kyle reverses again to forearm SMASH again! Kyle wrenches, ELBOW BREAKER, BIG back suplex, into a HEEL HOOK!! Edge flails, reaches out, kicks at Kyle, but Kyle pulls on the hold! Edge still fights and reaches out, ROPEBREAK!! The fans can’t believe it but Edge saves himself by fingertips. Kyle lets Edge go, both men rise up, and Kyle runs back in to KICK the legs out! Edge flounders, Kyle runs back up to KICK the leg out again!

Edge flops to the apron, Kyle goes out after him, and the fans fire up again! Kyle wrenches to WRING the arm into the apron! Edge writhes and flounders back into the ring, but Kyle goes up a corner. Kyle aims, to KING KONG KNEE DROP!! Cover, TWO!!! Edge survives, but Kyle has the DISARMER!! Edge endures the mounted armbar, powers up, rolls, but Kyle wrenches! ELBOW BREAKER! EDGE-O-MATIC! Both men are down again and the fans are thunderous! “This is Awesome!” as both men stir. Both men rise, and Edge fires a forearm! Kyle fires one back! The forearms go back and forth, and the fans are strongly behind Kyle!

Kyle gets the edge, then fires off knees, fast strikes, and roars! Kyle runs, but into a BOOT! Edge runs, into a BOOT! Edge rebounds to RAM Kyle, but Kyle yoyos! Edge runs in, but Kyle jumps the spear! O’Conner Roll, TWO!! REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Kyle endures, fights, pries at the arms but Edge just switches into a JUST FACELOCK!! Kyle rolls that to get the ARMBAR!!! Edge reaches for ropes, powers up, stacks Kyle, TWO! Edge STOMPS Kyle in the gut! Edge STOMPS Kyle in the chest! Kyle kicks Edge away, and then catches him to a cradle! TWO!! Edge escapes, but Kyle runs up! Pop-up GUTBUSTER!!

The fans are thunderous for this match, and technically this isn’t the end, Rampage is next! But Kyle goes to a corner and Edge follows. Edge puts Kyle up top, climbs up after him, but Kyle fights with body shots! Kyle has the arm, SUPER ARMBAR DDT!! Edge clutches that elbow but Kyle is also down from the fall. Kyle grabs at Edge’s arm, Edge resists, and they both stand. They tug-o-war over Edge’s arm, but he fires forearms from the other! Kyle wrenches but Edge kicks low and hard! Kyle falls, was that a liver shot!? Edge is conflicted while the ref checks on Kyle. Somehow, Kyle is okay to continue, but Edge isn’t sure.

Edge still goes to a corner, and he still takes aim! Kyle stands up, Edge runs in, GUILLOTINE!!! Did Kyle sucker Edge in!?! Edge flails, he’s caught in the body scissors! Edge turns away from ropes, picks Kyle up, but Kyle just shifts to a HOVERBOARD! Edge BODY SHOTS, then IMPALER DDTS! The fans are thunderous for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Edge goes to the corner, he takes aim, and he runs in to SPEAR!!! Cover, Edge wins!

Winner: Adam “Edge” Copeland, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)

Vancouver was hoping their guy would get it, but it was a different Canadian that came out on top! Will The Rated R Superstar soon take this fight to Malakai Black and tear down The House?

My Thoughts:

A very good Collision, and they sure got a lot in on this episode. I don’t think there was a single case of going picture in picture and then to a full commercial break, meaning this had more content minute for minute than other episodes. Great tag match to open with a great win for Bryan & Claudio. Claudio leaving during Bryan’s promo is an interesting detail, Rampage will have more on that. But Face Bryan has had a history of defying corrupt authority, so he’s a natural choice to go against Heel EVP Elite. Great match from Ospreay VS Moriarty, and Roddy on commentary was mostly fun for him yelling things at Ospreay. Ospreay of course won here, but Shane knocking him out is definitely to set up a match there for next week.

Good squash win for the former Embassy, and I was happy to see the Voros Twins on TV, they’re good guys. Good promo from Brian Cage to explain the betrayal, and great appearance by Swerve to attack them in revenge. Good promo from Swerve, and he’s going to have a great match with Brian Cage to give him momentum going towards Double or Nothing. Great win for Garcia over a big guy like KM, but Garcia is definitely in a holding pattern while the other titles are spoken for. And great match from Dax and the new Dynamite Kid, Tommy Billington. Tommy’s got a bright future ahead of him, that’s obvious.

Good promo from Dax to call out Okada, and good promo from The Elite to respond to Anarchy in the Arena. Then good stuff from The Bucks with Christopher Daniels to add him to this storyline. Daniels & Sydal are definitely losing to The Bucks to give The Bucks momentum, though. Good match from Rosa and Robyn Renegade, but of course Rosa won as a tune-up going towards whatever rematch we’re getting with Deonna Purrazzo. And then just an awesome TNT Championship main event from Edge and Kyle. Edge of course won, but Kyle looked so good even in the loss. Obviously, next stop is Edge VS Malakai for the title at Double or Nothing, that’s going to be awesome stuff.
