Joe Lucha Libre Report

AAA

AAA has a show on Christmas and I believe New Years day or the day after .I haven’t seen the card for the latter yet. But the top matches for the Christmas show which is branded as AAA vs Lucha Libre Elite which is a dead brand AAA resurrected to do simple invasion angles is, Psycho Clown, La Parka, and Pagano vs Electroshcok, Taurus, and Rey Escorpion. Averno, Chessman, and Super Fly vs Australian Suicide, Golden Magic, and Jack Evans. Really the rest of the card is eh as far as name value goes.

Lucha Capital

Golden Magic vs Maximo

Ready for the final episode of a tournament where nobody has a clue how it’s booked? I am. Magic starts the match with a super kick. He does a handspring into a flip and gets clotheslined. Magic lands a kick which sends Maximo to the outside. Magic hits a big splash off the turnbuckle to the outside. For some reason Maximo is up before him. Magic hits a sunset flip going back into the ring for a 2 count. Maximo hits a hurricanrana to the outside then a middle rope dive. He looks like he landed on his hip and is in a little pain. He hits a pinning bridge for a two count. He kisses Magic then rolls him up for a two count. Maximo goes to the top and misses a swanton and then Magic hits a 450 for the win. Golden Magic beats Maximo with a 450.

Winner: Golden Magic

Murder Clown vs Killer Kross

Scarlett is with Kross during this match. They lock up properly to start the match, so Lance Storm must be happy. They trade elbows in the middle of the ring. Clown throws Kross out of the ring and goes for a dive but Kross hits him. Clown suplexes Kross then hits him with a 619. Now he hits his flip dive over the top rope. Clown gets him in the ring and misses a corkscrew flip. Kross hits a Saito suplex and Clown powers out of it. Vampiro is happy. Kross does another for the win. Killer Kross pins Murder Clown with a Saito suplex.

Winner: Killer Kross

Hijo Del Vikingo vs Laredo Kid

They do some fast paced grappling to start the show and the crowd there is very much behind Vikingo. They have a counter for every move from each other. Vikingo goes for a dive but Kid pulls him out of the ring. Kid gets on the apron and hits an asai moonsault. Kid goes for another dive but Vikingo hits a shotgun drop kick. They fight back and forth and trade spots. Kid slams him then super kicks him. Vikingo catches Kid off the top rope and hits a spinning side walk slam. Impressive strength for a small guy like him. Probably realistically 140 pounds. Kid hits a michinoku driver for a two count. Vikingo reverses Kid’s suplex into his own fisherman’s suplex for a two count. Vikingo hits knees to the corner then goes to the top rope. Kid gets the knees up on the shooting star press. Kid brings him to the top rope and hits the Laredo Fly for the win. If Laredo Kid keeps getting this hot WWE will hire him and bury him on 205 Live. Laredo Kid beats Vikingo with a Laredo Fly.

Winner: Laredo Kid

Pagano vs Psycho Clown

Random thing. We don’t know how good Psycho really is cause he’s always in the main event which features older broken down guys or guys like Pagano. Who’s basically a younger Vampiro at this point. They exchange chops to the chest to start the match up. Clown misses a big boot and falls to the outside. Pagano then hits a middle rope flip. The kids love Psycho and the adults love Pagano. Hmm this all reminds me of a certain WWE wrestler…erm superstar. Pagano does a jump in the ring leg drop where Clown takes the bump before Pagano even makes contact cause Pagano moves so slow. Clown hits a drop kick then does a flip dive off the post to the outside. Clown hits running knees to the corner on Pagano for a two count. Pagano hits a head scissors Canadian destroyer then misses a moonsault. Clown hits a back stabber and then a pinning combination for the win. Psycho Clown wins with a back stabber and pinning combination.

Winner: Psycho Clown

Pentagon Jr vs Australian Suicide

Pentagon does his cero miedo pose and then proceeds to throw Suicide around a bit. Suicide gets out of the package pile driver and then hits a springboard Canadian destroyer for a two count. Pentagon hits the pentagon driver for a two count so we are in for a spot fest match. Which is fine because the crowd absolutely loves Pentagon so they’ll really be into it. Pentagon goes for a package pile driver off the top but Suicide reverses it into a hurricanrana. Pentagon counters the next attack then hits a package pile driver for the win. That was a fast car crash for sure. Akin to Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg III in the way it was laid out. Pentagon Jr pins Australian Suicide with a package pile driver.

Winner: Pentagon Jr

Fenix comes out and cuts a promo. He’ll be back soon. Pagano is out cutting a promo. I believe he’s thanking them for something. He raises Fenix’s hands. It looks like Pagano has the Lucha Capital belt in his hand so I guess he’ll award the winner with it. Now Fantasma Sr is out here so I guess he’ll do it. Who knows what happens in this company. I’ll admit my limited Spanish and the bad mic could be confusing me too. So we are gonna get a battle royal for the final 5.

Golden Magic vs Killer Kross vs Laredo Kid vs Psycho Clown vs Pentagon Jr

A pretty nice final five here to crown the Lucha Capital champion. It’d be cool if it was just a 5 way elimination match but time is limited. Okay so it’s like royal rumble format I suppose. Pentagon and Magic are starting, very unfair to Penta and there’s a count down till the next person. Magic hits a dive to the outside so maybe it is pinfall. It’s not like anyone will explain. Laredo Kid comes out hitting a michinoku driver on Magic then chases Pentagon to the outside. They fight on the outside until the next person comes out who is Psycho Clown. Magic goes to the top and Pentagon pushes him to the outside and he lands on his back. Ouch, why? Clown hits a cross body on Pentagon. Kross comes in from the crowd and suplexes everybody.

He power bombs Laredo Kid. Psycho hits a Canadian destroyer on Pentagon. Clown goes to do a move on Kross but Scarlett grabs his leg and Kross eliminates him. So it’s over the top elimination after all 5 get in the ring. Pentagon goes for a move in the corner but Kross kicks him in the groin and throws him over. I’m not sure but I believe Golden Magic was eliminated when Pentagon pushed him off the top. Scarlett gives Kross a spike. Pentagon comes back in and kicks him in the groin. Kid starts to do some moves on him and tries to throw him out but Kross clotheslines him. Kross goes for a power bomb but Kid reverses it into a hurricanrana. He then hits a swinging DDT and then goes to throw Kross over. He’s successful and wins. Laredo Kid wins Lucha Capital by throwing Kross over the top rope.

I imagine this will be the storyline reason as to how Laredo Kid will challenge Fenix for the Mega Championship.

Winner: Laredo Kid
