KTB has the wristlock, Spears rolls, drop toeholds and moves around to show off with a cartwheel. Spears and Tully high five, and then Spears keeps his eyes on KTB. But wait, Scorpio Sky is making his way out? And Scorpio is holding onto the slug Tully threw to him! Spears asks if Scorpio’s going to use it now. Scorpio just takes a seat on the steps of the stage to watch. KTB rolls Spears up! ONE, but KTB throws forearms on Spears! And a back elbow! KTB whips, Spears reverses but KTB goes up and over to then somersault and RAM into Spears!

KTB fires up, Spears is on the ropes, KTB somersaults but is put in the ropes! Spears goes out to KNEE KTB back in! Spears stares Scorpio down as he drags KTB out to THROW him down on the ramp! KTB flounders and the ref reprimands but Spears glares at Scorpio. Spears gets in the ring, snapmares KTB and throws clubbing crossfaces. Scorpio is stoic as Spears stomps KTB down. Spears dares Scorpio to get in and even holds ropes open. Scorpio stays put so Spears drags KTB around, for the SHARPSHOOTER! Spears stares Scorpio down as he sits deep on the hold, and KTB taps! The bell rings and Starks circles with Fenrir. They tie up, Fenrir holds Starks to a deadlock but then waistlocks. Starks switches, slams and slaps Fenrir all around. Fenrir gets up as Starks pats himself on the back. Starks and Fenrir tie up, Starks hammerlocks then headlocks, then shifts sides to get the drop toehold. Starks slaps Fenrir around again and scuffs him as he gets up. Fenrir scowls but keeps cool as he circles with Starks. Starks rushes in, Fenrir hurdles and arm-drags Starks down to an armlock! Starks fights up and around but Fenrir wrenches. Starks ROCKS and CHOPS and whips Fenrir, to BLAST him with the elbow! “Too easy!”

Fans are divided on Starks as he circles around Fenrir. Fenrir throws body shots but Starks ROCKS Fenrir back. Starks CHOPS Fenrir down, and grins as he bumps Fenrir off buckles. Starks RAMS into Fenrir, blows a kiss to cameras, RAMS Fenrir again, and then RAMS him again. The ref counts and Starks lets off to snapmare and KICK Fenrir. Starks poses with Fenrir to then bring Fenrir up and whip him. Fenrir slips out of the back drop to waistlock but Starks bucks him off. Things speed up, Starks dropkicks Fenrir down! Starks grinds his forearm into Fenrir’s face, the ref counts and Starks lets off at 3.

Starks pulls hair as he puts Fenrir against ropes but lets off as the ref counts again. Starks whips Fenrir corner to corner and then ROCKS Fenrir with a forearm! Starks CHOPS and CHOPS and whips, but Fenrir dodges to fire forearms! Starks swings but Fenrir dropkicks back! Fenrir whips but Starks reverses to BOOT Fenrir down! Things speed up, Cutler leaps over Limelight and comes back to side step and pop-up, but Limelight rana’s through! Cover, TWO! Cutler runs in but Limelight puts him on the apron. Cutler slides under, avoids a stomp and then sweeps the leg to slingshot senton! Cutler keeps moving and LEAPING LEG DROPS! Cover, ONE! Limelight goes to ropes and wants a time-out. Limelight offers a handshake, but then SLAPS Cutler! Cutler grabs Limelight, pops him up, and blocks the wheelbarrow counter to make it a FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!

Limelight flounders to a corner, Cutler runs in but Limelight POSTS him! Limelight grins as he goes to the apron and YANKS Cutler’s arm into the post! Cutler flops out of the ring, Limelight wraps the arm around the bottom crossbar! The ref counts, Limelight lets off and goes around the way to KICK the arm! Limelight does a little salsa but Cutler kicks back and throws him into railing! Limelight knees and KICKS and SLAMS the arm on the apron! Limelight puts Cutler in, ducks a punch to kick the arm, then drags Cutler down for an ARMBAR! Cutler clasps hands, rolls to a cover, ONE as Limelight shifts to a triangle. Cutler powers up and Limelight is a backpack as he rams into buckles!

Fans cheer but Limelight clamps back on! Cutler rams buckles again, then throws elbows. Cutler brings Limelight around, swings Limelight for the SLAM! Cover, TWO! Limelight survives but Cutler grits his teeth. Fans rally up and Cutler brings Limelight up. Cutler whips, Limelight reverses but Cutler slips out to roundhouse back! Cutler slingshot kicks Limelight down! Limelight staggers up, ducks the roundhouse but not the enziguri! Cutler scoops Limelight and pops him up, but the bad arm gives out! Limelight hammerlocks but Cutler bucks him off to slingshot out, springboard in and forearm Limelight down!

Cruz gets up and things speed up, Avalon hurdles but Cruz shoves, drops, hurdles but Avalon holds ropes to avoid getting hit. Avalon runs at Cruz, Cruz dodges to hip toss and arm-drag! Cruz dodges, huricanrana Avalon to a corner and handspring! Cruz is ready to punch Avalon in the face! Avalon dodges, Cruz goes up but Avalon YANKS him down!

Avalon clotheslines Cruz out then lounges on the ropes. Cruz returns as the ring count hits 4 but Avalon stomps him down. Avalon digs his boots in and Cruz ends up in a corner. Leva goes to a corner, Gracia runs to back elbow and then rolls to come back, with a KNEE! Cover, TWO! Gracia drags Leva back up, bumps her off buckles and throws haymakers. Gracia whips corner to corner, Leva reverses and runs in but is put on the apron. Leva counters the punch with a roundhouse! Leva slingshots, somersaults and SPEARS! As such, Donavan and Colten start with the bell instead. They tie up, Donavan gets the arm and wrenches to a wristlock, but Colten wrenches back. Colten headlocks, Donavan powers out but Colten runs him over! Austin fires up for his brother as Colten runs and runs Donavan over again! Cover, ONE, but Colten wrenches and tags Austin. The brothers Gunn mug Donavan then Austin tags in Billy. Billy clubs Donavan’s arm, wrenches the arm to a wristlock, then yanks on the arm.

Billy drags Donavan to the corner, tags Austin and Austin clubs the arm. Austin wrenches but Donavan gets away to tag in VSK. VSK is steady now and he ties up with Austin. They go around, VSK puts Austin in a corner and throws forearms! VSK whips corner to corner, Austin goes up and around and shoves to arm-drag! VSK arm-drags back, then arm-drags again, but Austin drags VSK into a headlock! Fans cheer but VSK powers up to throw knees. Tag to Fashion, but Austin arm-drags him down! Fashion fights up, Austin tags Billy, and then Colten tags in. Austin whips and body shots, Billy boots and Colten dropkicks! Cover, ONE, but Colten keeps his cool.

Colten drags Fashion up, whips him, but Fashion reverses and VSK gets a cheap shot in! Colten DECKS VSK but turns around into Fashion’s LARIAT! Fashion drags Colten up, bumps him off buckles, then stomps away! Fashion digs his boot in, the ref counts and Fashion lets up at 4. Fashion whips Colten out to whip him back into the corner hard! Solow stalks up behind Sydal, brings him up, throws haymakers and dropkicks, but Sydal avoids that to KICK Solow in the back! Sydal hits the standing mariposa! Cover, TWO! Sydal keeps focus and he drags Solow up to whip. Solow reverses to sweep the legs! Sydal hits the ropes on the way down but Solow rains down rights! The ref counts because they’re in the ropes, and Solow lets off to gloat again. Solow stomps Sydal, throws more forearms, then bumps Sydal off buckles. Fans boo but Solow soaks up the heat. The Dark Order’s Evil Uno & Stu Grayson VS Baron Black & Fuego Del Sol!

The OG of the faction have been working on recruiting Hangman Page, but they do need to work on their own journey in AEW. Will they convince the EmpBRUH and Fire of the Sun to #JoinDarkOrder?

The teams sort out and Stu starts against Fuego. Fuego avoids Stu’s rush and gets out of the ring. Fuego taunts Stu, then leads him on a cat ‘n’ mouse, to then flip around and huricanrana! Stu pushes Fuego, Fuego comes back to tilt-o-whirl and merry-go-round to headscissor! Tag to Baron, they double whip Stu but Stu kicks Baron and throws Fuego out! Stu bumps Baron off buckles, tags Uno and the Dark Order stomps away! Uno lets off, drags Uno up and clubs him. Uno whips but Baron reverses to get a cobra twist! Uno endures as Baron digs an elbow in, then Baron spins Uno to a back suplex! Cover, ONE, but Baron wrenches Uno to tag in Fuego.

Fuego goes up, dumdum stomps the arm, then wrenches it, only for Uno to shove and throat chop! Uno waistlocks, Fuego elbows back but Stu tags in. Uno gives Fuego to Stu then DECKS Baron, Stu POWERSLAMS Fuego down! Stu chokes Fuego while talking trash, then he lifts Fuego to RAM him into the corner! Uno tags in, whips Stu in and Stu splashes! Stu feeds Fuego to Uno’s BOOT, then drops a knee! Uno taunts Fuego, stalks him, and fans rally up. Uno drags Fuego up, tortures and BITES the fingers, but lets go as the ref reprimands. Uno CHOPS Fuego in a corner, scoops him and hits a BACKBREAKER!

Tag to Stu, Uno drags Fuego up to feed to Stu’s boots! Uno hits a Russian Leg Sweep, then sits Fuego up for Stu’s SHINING WIZARD! Stu toys with Fuego now but fans rally up. Fuego hits back with body shots, Stu shoves him and clobbers him! Stu drags Fuego up and bumps him off Uno’s boot. Tag to Uno and they taunt Baron before Uno whips Stu at Fuego. Fuego goes up and Stu POSTS himself, a rather fumbling hot tag to Baron! Baron rallies on the Dark Order either way and he spins Uno around for chops and a Polish hammer! Atomic drop and BACKSTABBER for Stu! Baron clotheslines Stu out then runs in to DISCUS CLOTHESLINE Uno, for an EXPLODER! Cover, TWO!

Tag to Fuego, Baron fireman’s carries Uno as Fuego climbs. Stu anchors Fuego, Uno gives Baron a neckbreaker! Fuego kicks Stu away, flips at Uno but has to roll through as Uno evades! Uno scoops Fuego for a tilt-o-whirl, and he blocks the DDT to ROCK Fuego with a right! Uno throws Fuego into Baron, who ends up in a torture rack from Stu! NIGHTFALL on the outside! The Ivy League MVP and Bulletproof BPJ have been up and down lately, but are determined to rise up the ranks! Will they be able to overcome the Brazilian V8 and the Priest of Sin to do that?

The teams sort out and Ryzin starts with BPJ. They circle, tie up, BPJ headlocks and fans rally as BPJ holds on tight. Ryzin pries at the hold but BPJ hits the headlock takeover. Ryzin gets up, pulls hair and headlocks, but BPJ powers out. They ram shoulders and neither falls. BPJ dares Ryzin to try again, Ryzin dodes, and they ram but again no one falls. Ryzin shoves, BPJ shoves but Ryzin SLAPS! Ryzin runs, BPJ follows and runs him over! BPJ drags Ryzin up to KICK him in the back! BPJ wrenches an arm, tags in Griff, and BPJ scoop slams Ryzin for Griff’s slingshot leg drop! Tag back to BPJ and BPJ slingshots for the senton! BPJ drags Ryzin up, CHOPS Ryzin, and CHOPS again!

BPJ wrenches, whips, but Ryzin reverses and Bononi dumps him out! Bononi throws BPJ into railing, then sets him up for Ryzin’s PLANCHA! Ryzin rains down rights, throws BPJ back in and covers, TWO! Ryzin drags BPJ by his hair and tags Bononi. They mug BPJ, BPJ chops back but Bononi fires off forearms and knees! Bononi CHOPS BPJ, whips BPJ and runs him over with an elbow! Cover, TWO! Bononi grows frustrated already and he knees BPJ down. Tag to Ryzin, Ryzin climbs and Bononi scoops, but BPJ slips out to shove Bononi into Ryzin! Tag to Griff and Griff rallies on Bononi! The bell rings as the two are face to face and Ivelisse shoves Snow. She then dodges and kicks Snow in a leg but Snow forearms. Ivelisse kicks inside the leg, shoves Snow off the arm, but then Snow fireman’s carry throws Ivelisse! Ivelisse gets up but Snow dropkicks her to the outside. Ivelisse blocks the boot to elbow Snow and drag her out. Snow fireman’s carries again but Ivelisse fights off with elbows! Ivelisse SUPERKICKS Snow down, then leaps for the CANNONBALL! Ivelisse is fired up as she CHOPS Snow against the apron! Ivelisse puts Snow in, follows and covers, TWO! Ivelisse keeps her cool and drags Snow into a chinlock.

Fans rally as Snow endures and fights. Ivelisse digs her forearm into Snow’s face, but Snow fights up and fights out. Ivelisse CLUBS Snow down, then Switchblade kicks Snow down! Fans boo but Ivelisse soaks up the heat. Ivelisse kicks Snow in the face but Snow throws body shots! Ivelisse kicks a leg but Snow kicks back. They keep kicking, Snow blocks a forearm but Ivelisse blocks a back kick. Forearms collide, and DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES drop both women! Fans fire up as Snow gets to a corner. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens return, “Yo, we the Acclaimed! Beating two no names is the easiest thang!” Wayward “like a broke MC Hammer. Call up your mom, cuz I’m about to slam her!” And South Jr, “you look like a blimp! I called up your girl, she called you a shrimp! Saw you in the locker room, why you so limp? The Acclaimed so hard, do y’all get the hint? Daaaayum!” Bowens and Caster get in and dare their opponents to do something about it. But will the 5 Tool Player and Platinum be upstaged for making these two more than enraged?

Caster starts with South and they circle. They tie up, Caster knees low and headlocks. South throws body shots, powers out, but Caster runs him over! Caster puts one on the scoreboard but things speed up. South hurdles and hip tosses then arm-drags Caster! Caster arm-drags back and stomps South on the head! Caster has the arm, wrenches, tags Bowens and Bowens takes the hand-off. They pass the wrench between them again and again, then Caster BOOTS the arm! Bowens pushes Wayward then drags South up. South throws a haymaker and tags in Wayward, but Bowens elbows, jabs and CHOPS! Wayward CHOPS back!

Wayward throws hands, bobs ‘n’ weaves to ROCK Bowens, then whips him corner to corner. Bowens goes up, over and over again to headlock. Wayward powers out, Bowens hurdles to mule kick, front kick and run. Bowens slings but no blade so he just ROCKS Wayward with that right! Wayward reverses a whip but the SLING DDT hits! Bowens drags Wayward up, tags Caster and the Acclaimed mug Wayward in the corner. Caster wrenches and back suplexes HIGH and hard! Caster takes a bow and blows some kisses, then drags Wayward up. Luther and Serpentico are scary guys, but they’re up against the Paragon and the Conqueror of Fear! Will the Original Death Dealer and SNAKEMAN prove fear isn’t conquered so easily?

The teams stare down and Luther has Serpentico step aside to get in Gargis’ face. Serpentico pushes Luther to get in Gargis’ face, but then Chaos Project beats down Chamberlain and Gargis! They double whip Gargis, he breaks the line and double dropkicks! And kips up! Gargis has Serpentinco and scoops him, to then SLAM him, and tag in Chamberlain. Chamberlain brings Serpentico up, throws big forearms then whips corner to corner hard! Serpentico bounces around, but swings, into a back suplex! Cover, TWO! Luther tries to swipe at Chamberlain but Chamberlain DECKS him! Chamberlain goes back to Serpentico but Serpentico boots him from the mat!

Serpentico sweeps Gargis’ legs then kicks Chamberlain to the corner! Tag to Luther, Chaos Project mugs Chamberlain then Luther chokes Chamberlain on the ropes! “SMILE! SMILE!” The ref backs Luther off but Serpentico gets a cheap shot in! Luther snapmares Chamberlain, KICKS him down, then tags in Serpentico. The bell rings and Velvet circles with Frost. They tie up, go around, Frost headlocks and grinds. Velvet powers out, Frost runs her over, and then stares her down. Things speed up,. Velvet hurdles, Frost leaps, and the two dodge each other, but Velvet calf kicks first! Velvet bumps Frost off buckles, throws body shots and stomps, then digs her boot in while doing the splits! The ref counts, Velvet lets off at 4, but brings Frost up to snapmare and run, basement dropkick! Cover, TWO! Velvet keeps on Frost in the corner with big forearms! The ref counts, Velvet lets off at 4, but Frost sends her into buckles!

Frost throws Velvet down, stomps her, then handstands to drop knees! Frost mocks the “stir it up,” but Velvet avoids the standing moonsault! Velvets hits a standing moonsault! Cover, TWO! The Dark Order’s Uno and Stu won a similar scenario last week, and now Alan Angels and Preston Vance want to repeat the process! While Jersey’s Finest are the same, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus might be a major factor! Who wins the main event to this massive Dark?

Jurassic Express barely finishes their entrance when Vance BOOTS the Bad Boy! Kiss ROCK Vance back and then goes after Angels! Angels CLOBBERS Kiss, JB whips him but Angels reverses, only for JB to slide under. Luchasaurus KICKS Angels down, then combines with JB for the FLYING CMOPLETE SHOT! Kiss and Janela work together to DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICK Luchasaurus! JB kicks each of them, whips Kiss and drops, but jumps into a catch! Janela builds speed, JERSEY HART ATTACK! Boston Crab and leg drop, brother! Chancery BASEMENT DROPKICK! Fans fire up for Jersey as they pose together.

Vance is back, he tosses Janela out onto a camera man! It’s finally just two in the ring with Kiss and Vance and the ref finally rings the bell! Kiss runs at Vance, but he’s also put on the apron and Angels CLOBBERS Kiss down! Marko Stunt coaches his team up, but Janela shoulders into Vance and slingshots, but runs into a SPINEBUSTER! Vance roars while Janela writhes. Janela is put in the Dark Order corner, Vance CHOPS Janela and tags Angels. Angels rolls and runs in to forearm Janela! Angels runs in, Janela boots back, but Janela runs into a fireman’s carry! Janela gets to the apron, hotshots Vance and shoves him into Angels! Janela SHOTEIS Angels up top, mule kicks Luchasaurus, then Janela fireman’s carries Angels to DEATH VALLEY DRIVER onto JB’s back! JB tumbles, Lucahsaurus TAIL WHIPS Janela! Vance hurries over and brawls with Luchasaurus. Janela staggers over, into an APRON BOMB from Vance! Luchasuarus choke grips Vance, but Kiss is up top! SUPER MOONSAULT takes everyone down!

Fans fire up with Jersey’s Finest as Kiss drags Luchasaurus into the ring. Kiss follows, but Luchasaurus HEADBUTTS! And then fireman’s carries, but Janela gets in! Janela’s body shots do nothing! JB goes up, leaps over Luchasaurus to DESTROYER Janela! Kiss slips off, ducks Luchasaurus’ roundhouse to give a roundhouse! Kiss dodges JB, Angels tags in! Kiss DECKS JB, Angels and Vance run at Kiss but he dodges one, only for Angels to enziguri! WING SNAPPER to SLINGSHOT SPEAR!! Angels is back up, FROG SPLASH! The Dark Order drags JB up, gut wrench while Angels climbs., JB shoves Vance into Angels, SUEPRKICKS Vance down then drags Angels up! Luchasaurus has Angels, BACK SUPLEX BOMB! A fast and furious Triple Threat Tag, but the one team that stays on track is Jurassic Express! Will a boy and his dinosaur be on their way to a tag title opportunity?

My Thoughts:

A good Dark, but I’m not sure AEW understands “less is more.” The matches were all fairly quick, and there was no Waiting Room this week, so this episode came in at just over 2 hours and 15 minutes. But at the same time, the majority of these matches still felt the same as always. I will say the Triple Threat Tag to end was really good, very fast paced, though obviously Janela falling onto a camera man was a bit rough. Jurassic Express wins to stay in the top 5, as do Uno & Stu earlier tonight. Both those teams should get shots at the tag titles at some point.

It was great to see Shanna back, given all the time missed from Europe’s lockdowns and her having to quarantine outside of the States before returning. Are Lindsay Snow and Lady Frost not a tag team? They should be given similar names. And they should get into a tag program with Ivelisse & Diamante over the tag cup medals. I also like the developments with Scorpio and Spears. I almost thought Scorpio was turning and joining Spears but maybe this is just Scorpio getting a mean streak for their inevitable grudge match. Anthony Bowens needs to work on that slingblade DDT move, I feel like he almost legit hurt Wayward. But The Acclaimed is already a really good team, and certainly a strong one on Dark.

My Score: 8/10
