AEW hears from The Elite.
Matt Jackson asks what Brandon Cutler is doing, he needs to get into the limo. Everyone is crowded inside and Don Callis says they need to celebrate. Kenny Omega is the NEW Impact World Champion! He’s got so many belts, they need a stretch job to have them all! And of course, the Young Bucks still have their tag titles, and Callis is going to be on commentary for their match with the Sydals. Omega is feeling great, feeling freaky, but also feeling upset. Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston drove a TRUCK into their trailer, in an attempt to end the Elite’s lives! But they’re used to “non-sport numb nut people,” from fans to wrestlers to management, trying to stop them.
Wherever they go, the money and the gold follows. They aren’t going to be intimidated or scared! What they did has not fazed Omega. Omega is NOT afraid of Moxley! The Elite is not afraid! But then the honking spooks everyone! Michael Nakazawa apologizes, he accidentally pressed the horn button. Dammit, Nak, don’t do that! But Omega wants us to listen and listen carefully: You mess with one of them you mess with all of them. If you want a fight, they’ll give you a fight! If Kingston wants to fight Omega, he’ll get Nakazawa first! Will the Mad King be able to get past the pawn to get at Omega?
AEW World Tag Team Eliminator Match: The Young Bucks VS The Sydal Brothers!
Just as promised, “The Invisible Hand” that’s been pulling the strings joins commentary to watch as Matt & Nick Jackson take on Matt & Mike, who have been getting on the nerves and in the way of Kenny Omega. Will the AEW World Tag Team Champions cross a team off the list of contenders? Or will the Bucks owe a golden opportunity down the line?
The teams sort out and Matt Jackson starts against Mike Sydal and they circle as fans are fired up. They tie up, Matt wrenches Mike’s arm, Mike rolls and handsprings and wrenches back to a wristlock. Matt flips, kips and throat chops! Matt acts like he doesn’t understand what was wrong, then whips. Mike reverses, does the splits to duck then sweeps the legs! STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, ONE and Matt tags Nick. Nick throws his headband at Mike but Mike still arm-drags Nick to an armlock! Mike gets Nick up and Matt Sydal tags in. The Sydals hand off the wrench, Matt slips around to arm-drag but Nick headscissors. Matt kips free, snapmare but Nick kicks low.
Nick scoops but Matt arm-drags Nick again! And again! Matt has Nick in an armlock, then hooks a leg for a modified full nelson! Nick flails, Matt drags him around, and then lets him free to wrench. Tag to Mike, the Sydals whip and drop toehold for the basement dropkick! Matt Jackson runs in but both Sydals go Matrix to then double dropkick Matt down! Fans fire up with the Sydals as they high-ten, and Matt gets Nick. Nick swings but misses, Mike back suplexes but Matt tags in. Mike has Nick in a corner, whips him corner to corner but Nick reverses. Mike CLOBBERS Nick, Matt SUPERKICKS Mike! Matt Sydal runs in but Matt Jackson clotheslines him down!
Matt Jackson paces around Mike, basement dropkicks, and then paces around as AEW goes picture in picture. Matt toys with Mike as he kicks him around, but Mike throws body shots. Matt DECKS Mike, shakes his hand out then takes a breath. Matt gets Mike up, bumps him off buckles, then tags Nick in. Snapmare and slingshot senton fist drop combo! Nick taunts Matt Sydal, then drags Mike up. Nick does a little dance before he DECKS Mike! Nick scoops then SLAMS Mike, drops an elbow but misses! Mike trips up Matt, but Nick PENALTY KICKS Mike from the apron! Nick says the kick is good, and then says the camera man should keep his eye on him or something like that.
Nick puts Mike in, tags Matt, and the Bucks set Mike up for a catapult into the GAMANGIRI! Springboard double stomps across Matt’s knees! The Bucks are in control as AEW goes to break!
AEW returns as Nick and Mike DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! Both are down, but while the ref is busy with Matt Sydal, Matt Jackson rolls Nick out of the ring and takes his place! Wait, this can’t work, they’re not twins! The ref still doesn’t realize and he starts a standing count! Open your eyes, ref! Matt flips over, kips up, and the ref realizes what’s going on. He says there was no tag, so Matt Jackson has to get out. But instead, he drags Mike away from his brother, only for Mike to ENZIGURI! Hot tag to Matt Sydal! Sydal dropkicks and fires off more kicks on Jackson! Nick gets in, and he gets a wheel kick!
Matt Sydal has Matt Jackson, who the ref is letting be legal, in a Fisherman BUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Sydal fires off KICKS on Jackson, but he slides under! Pop to a gut wrench, but Sydal changes it as Nick springboards! SLICE JAWBREAKER COMBO! Standing Mariposa! Tag to Mike, “This is Awesome!” as the Sydals hit DOUBLE METEORA! Cover, Nick breaks it! Nick scoops, Mike ducks but BASEMENT SUPERKICK! Matt Sydal avoids screw high kick and double superkicks to DOUBLE RANA! QUESTION MARK to Matt Jackson, then a ghost pin with leg hook! TWO!!! Fans say that was three but maybe more like 2.9!
Matt Sydal puts Matt Jackson up top but Nick attacks! Nick back suplexes, Sydal lands on his feet but Nick BOOTS him down! Nick hops up to join Matt but Sydal SUPER STEINERS Nick away! Sydal then gets Jackson, SUPER- NO! Jackson moves and Sydal crashes and burns on the top rope! Both Matts are down on the mat but fans fire up! Hot tag to Mike! Mike slingshots in, shoves Matt into Nick, then fires up. Matt does the splits! The ref is busy with Nick, Matt STRAIGHT RIGHT LOW BLOWS!! Matt plays shocked but the ref missed it anyway! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Matt Sydal, then a tag! Mike gets a B T E TRIGGER!! Cover, the Bucks win!
Winners: The Young Bucks, by pinfall
And with that, the Sydals DON’T get a title match! Brandon Cutler helps the Bucks ice down, but someone is speaking on the mic? Frankie Kazarian has the music stop as he and Christopher Daniels stand on stage! Kaz says if Matt has something to say, now’s the perfect time to keep it to yourself. There seems to be a lot of change, with these new Bucks having new attitudes and new questionable wardrobe decisions. But one thing that hasn’t changed is the promise Kaz made last December. The next time SCU loses as a tag team, they’d be done as a tag team. They stand here as the undefeated #1 contenders, and the biggest threat the Bucks have ever faced!
Daniels says right now, all he is is PISSED and FURIOUS! He wanted to wrestle his friends, but he doesn’t see his friends. He sees entitled, overdressed BITCHES! Daniels says this new attitude sucks, and instead of just beating their asses, maybe they’ll take what matters most to the Bucks in those titles. And as #1 contenders, they don’t have to wait. Once the Bucks find their balls, SCU will take those titles and make AEW a better company by taking these a-holes out of it! When it is all or nothing for The Addiction, will they survive as champions? Or will they be put down in their prime?
AEW hears from Jade Cargill.
“Over the past few weeks, every major manager here in AEW is looking to sign me,” but there’s one problem: they want a percentage of her money! They want a cut of Jade’s pie, and it doesn’t work that way. Jade is her own boss, makes her own money, and makes her own moves. They need to impress her before they sign her, because she is #ThatBitch!
Penta El Zero M w/ Alex Abrahantes VS Orange Cassidy w/ Trent!
The war of Death Triangle and Best Friends rages on, and now Cero Miedo looks to make Freshly Squeezed into Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice! But will having no fear mean nothing against a man who has no stress?
The bell rings, Penta fires up but Cassidy puts his hands up. Penta won’t let Cassidy put his hands in his pocket, then rubs Cero Miedo in Cassidy’s face. Cassidy sighs, puts his hands up, but Penta still won’t let him have his way. Penta says it slower this time: CERO… MIEDO! Cassidy still raises his hands, but Penta stops him again! Penta takes off his glove with extra drama this time, and then tosses it to Alex! Penta then makes sure Cassidy listens, Cero Miedo and a real stiff pie face! Cassidy takes off the sunglasses, and tosses them to Trent, but Trent misses. Trent plays it off by staying put. Cassidy gets his hands in his pockets! And he unleashes the sloth kicks! Penta goes to kick but Cassidy dodges!
Cassidy actually speeds things up, dodges and no-hands arm-drags?! Then hurdles, to roll and monkey flip Penta! Cassidy hits a no-hand kip up! Cassidy then uses his hands to get Penta up but Penta fights off Beach Break! Penta wants the package but Cassidy gets free, only to run into a tilt-o-whirl BACKBREAKER! Penta watches Cassidy slowly get up, and he KICKS his leg out! Cassidy writhes and clutches the leg but Penta says the kick is good. Penta drags Cassidy up and puts him in the ring, then stalks him. Penta digs his knee into Cassidy’s back and pulls on the arms for a motorcycle stretch. Cassidy endures, Penta gets him up and whips him to SUPERKICK him down! Penta taunts Trent, goes back to Cassidy, and stomps him in the stomach! Penta dares Trent to do something, then he chokes Cassidy on the ropes! Cassidy stays up, grits his teeth, and runs, into another SUPERKICK! Penta reels Cassidy in, for a DESTROYER!! And then the package- BEACH BREAK!!! Cover, TWO!?! Penta’s shoulder barely comes up but it’s enough! “This is Awesome!” as Penta and Cassidy reset. Penta stalks Cassidy, Cassidy senses him approaching, and the two stare down.
Cassidy punches but Penta KICKS and CHOPS and KICKS! Penta fires off in a corner, the ref counts, Penta lets up at 4 to run side to side, SUPERKICK!! Cassidy is a lump in the corner but Penta drags him back up. Penta says this is over, and he suplexes, STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Cassidy counters outta nowhere, and gets up top again! Cassidy leaps, DEEP IMPACT!! Penta wobbles, Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirl and lots of revolutions, DDT!! Cover, TWO?!?! Alex has a mic to “excuse” himself. Alex wants us to know that if you thought what Penta said about Trent’s Mom last week was bad, you should’ve heard what he said about Cassidy!
Cassidy grabs Alex and TOSSES him into the ring! Alex begs for mercy, but Penta is up and he mule kicks! Penta reels Cassidy in, tucks him in, but Cassidy slips out! Trent gets the mic to Cassidy, ORANGE MIC PUNCH!! Cover, Trent drags Alex away, Cassidy wins!!
Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall
Alex might’ve stuck his foot into his mouth as he and Penta pay for what they pulled off last week! But this war is far from over, what will it take to truly settle things between Best Friends and Death Triangle?
Tony Schiavone interviews Britt Baker.
The Doctor is now the #1 contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship, and she’s so happy! What did she tell us? Does she ever lie? No! She said she was going to work her way up, and look what we have here! The Doctor is at the top of the food chain, not just in merchandise sales, demographic scores and bonafide star power, but she is at the top of the “respected and logical” wins-loss rankings! When it comes to the current AEW Women’s World Champion, we’re going to be reminded why Britt is the Face of the Women’s Division! “Yours truly, the number ONE contender, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD.” But will winning the title be as easy as climbing the rankings?
Tony Schiavone presides over the Blood & Guts Parley!
Next week, we will have the ultimate battle in the ultimate battleground of two rings and two cages as the two top factions in AEW wage war! Tonight, we learn which team will have the advantage in that match. Introducing first: The Pinnacle! MJF, Tully Blanchard, FTR, Shawn Spears and Wardlow are accompanied by extra security as they go to the ring. Fans taunt them with, “Pineapple! Pineapple!” And then, the Inner Circle! Their extra security? A motorcycle club! The fans sing Judas for Jericho as he, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz step into the ring and stare down the Pinnacle.
Schiavone begins this face-off by explaining the rules of the Blood & Guts match. There will first be a five minute period where it will be 1v1. Then every two minutes, teams will alternate as they send in another teammate, until all 10 are in the ring. Then and only then can the match end, by only submission or surrender. This parley is to determine which team has the advantage, aka sending their members in first. It will be via coin toss, but Shawn Spears snatches the mic away?! Spears says it won’t be a coin toss! The Pinnacle should get the advantage by default for being “lured” into this match. Advantage: Pinnacle.
And in return, Spears offers a warning: “This doesn’t end well for you boys. You’re looking at five men who are willing to bleed and sacrifice everything for each other! I look across this ring and I do not see the same.” When the hell was the last time Sammy even wrestled a match! Is he even ready for this? Jericho is leading you into very, very deep waters. In one week, Spears will be the guy stepping on Sammy’s head while he’s drowning. Sammy snatches the mic and fans cheer him on as he responds, “Spears, I don’t believe you. And simply, why should I?” Ever since Spears got here, he’s been a failure! The more Sammy thinks about it, the more he realizes Spears was a failure where he used to work, too!
The thing is, the Pinnacle needs to know, on May 5th, Spears will fail again. Because whether it’s 1v1, 2v1, 3v1, all of them at once, it won’t matter! Sammy will let them have the advantage and even be the first man up so he can be the one to whoop all of them! Sammy will start with the guy who serves the popcorn! He’ll fight everyone! Well if that’s the case, then it is agreed! The Pinnacle “wins” the parley, and has the advantage in Blood & Guts!
But the discussion continues, as Cash Wheeler asks Santana & Ortiz to their face, with all honesty, “Please, please do not bring this version of Santana & Ortiz.” Blood & Guts is not the match to bring “these soft, complacent, Jericho lapdogs” that they’ve been the last two years! Cash promises that with every ounce of his being, if they bring that Santana & Ortiz, they won’t make it out. Dax Harwood says next week is almost a guarantee that someone’s career, or even someone’s life, will be shortened. Dax has prepared himself and his family for that. But when the door shuts and he’s staring every single one of them down, “You’re in MY world now, and I ain’t afraid to die!”
Dax tells Ortiz that he has a son at home, and Santana has a baby girl. But that Tuesday, before they leave home to come to Daily’s Place for Blood & Guts, they better hold their kids close and whisper in their ears a message from “Uncle Dax: Daddy ain’t coming back home.” Ortiz tells Santana to calm down, they know what FTR is trying to do. Santana takes a breath, and takes his turn on the mic. “Seven days, boys. Y’all gonna be locked in a cage with us! Y’all haven’t been locked up? Because we have. May 5th, I’mma let my hands do the talking!”
MJF speaks up and says this is a parley, so act like gentlemen. And as a gentleman, MJF wants to say something to Jericho. “Thank you.” Yes, and Jericho has been waiting for that a long time, right? We all know he’s wanted to hear those words from everyone since the inception of AEW, and Jericho has every right to feel that way. Without Jericho, there is no AEW. Jericho was the top guy, the draw, the bridge for every lapsed fan to come over here and check out AEW, and he managed to create the best group in pro-wrestling, The Inner Circle. MJF gives credit where credit is due. He even lets fans chant for Inner Circle.
However, MJF can’t imagine the pressure Jericho must feel. Let’s face it: Every time Jericho comes out here, if he hits anything less than a home run is him taking food out of the mouths of every other person in the company. Jericho puts the company every single time he comes out here! MJF can’t imagine the level of paranoia, stress and restless nights. We see it every night in those bloodshot eyes! Jericho looks exhausted! “Guess it’s true what they say, ‘Heavy lies the crown,'” but MJF says Jericho doesn’t have to worry anymore. After Blood & Guts, MJF will do the humane thing and take that “heavy, heavy burden of a crown” off Jericho to put it atop his head, so that his FAMILY replaces the Inner Circle at the top of AEW!
But don’t get it twisted, now. MJF appreciates everything Jericho’s done for AEW. That is why when it is all said and done, and MJF looks down at the scarred up, mangled body of Jericho, MJF will again say, “Thank you.” Jericho’s spot will be MJF’s! Jericho responds with, “You self-righteous, self-gratifying little prick!” How dare MJF be so entitled to think he can have someone’s spot just because they want it! How dare he think he can just inherit someone’s spot like he inherited the trust fund mommy ‘n’ daddy made for him! Or maybe MJF thinks he can absorb ab spot through osmosis, or a Tetris game where MJF can just slide right in.
It doesn’t work that way! If MJF wants this spot, he has to EARN it! He mentioned last week about how at 25 years old, Jericho was curtain jerking in WCW. Yeah, he was, and he is damn proud of it! That is what led Jericho to where he is today! But what MJF didn’t mention is that at 25 years old, Jericho already headlined arenas around the world, such as Japan, Mexico and Germany, which is another reason why he’s here today! Those were where Jericho learned about respect and other life lessons, and built the reputation he has to be at the top today!
Fans are fired up as Jericho says, “If you want my spot, a good place to start earning it is by beating me and the Inner Circle at Blood & Guts. But you aren’t going to do that because we ARE Blood & Guts!” Jericho won’t let Tully cut into his promo, because if MJF wants to talk family, the Inner Circle IS a family! How long has MJF known his jerkoffs? Three MONTHS?! The Inner Circle has been a family in AEW since day ONE! Hager had Jericho’s back when he was threatened with assassination in Abu Dhabi in 2012! The “lapdogs” are a pack of wild animals that have torn and clawed their way here and Jericho owes them for that!
And Sammy, Jericho brought here personally but because of MJF, Sammy quit! That won’t happen again! MJF won’t get in the way of Inner Circle, he won’t beat them at Blood & Guts! They will never tap out, and you’d have to KILL them to make them surrender! And when that doesn’t happen, the Inner Circle will step on the Pinnacle like the crap they are, wipe them off their shoes, and then look down at the only SPOT they deserve! And to finish, if 1969 was the Summer of Love, 2021 will be the Summer of Violence and Pain! Next week, May 5th, Summer starts early!! The parley is over, but the war is still to come! Will Blood & Guts be the most fitting name a match has ever had?
Eddie Kingston heads to the ring!
Michael “MT” Nakazawa waits, but Kingston says no, he’s not doing this “sports entertainment” type crap! He isn’t doing this, so Kenny better show up. Kingston tells Nakazawa to get out and for Kenny to get in. The Elite walks out, Kingston wants payback for the broken ankle. Omega says Kingston doesn’t get how this works. The Elite are the ones mad at Kingston and need payback on him. “Do you think that if you ask for the champ, you get the champ? No!” So the “goons” are being sent after him first. And then Nakazawa SMACKS Kingston with his laptop! Get him, Nak! Nakazawa gets Kingston up but Kingston elbows the suplex off! Kingston hits an EXPLODER!
Omega keeps shouting for Nakazawa to get Kingston, but what he gets is a URAKEN back hand! Kingston’s even wearing Nakazawa’s headset in case Omega can’t hear him! Kingston gets Nakazawa’s chair, puts it around Nakazawa’s leg, and then gets a mic. “You either get into the ring, or I’m breaking your boy’s ankle!” Omega tries to calm Kingston down but Kingston’s serious! Omega says he understands the threat, and Nakazawa knew what he signed up for. And as a reminder, there’s more than one goon around here. Omega calls for Brandon Cutler, but Cutler is floundering already? Because MOXLEY attacks Omega! Seems Omega forgot Kingston has a friend, too!
Moxley throws Omega into the ring, Kingston throws hands, then Moxley puts on a SLEEPER! Omega fades and Callis panics! Kingston has a chair and he puts it around Omega’s fancy shoe and on his ankle! Omega is in a daze, Callis gets the mic and shouts at Kingston. Kingston says they either get a match with Omega or they break the golden boy’s ankle! Callis says they don’t want to do that but they really do! Callis says okay, they can get whatever they want! Mox, come here. Omega, stop moving! Mox, tell Callis what they want. They want a tag team match with Omega and “this little dipshit with the laptop,” and they want it ASAP!
Okay, okay, Callis promises! YES, they’ll get their match!! Then see you next week! Kingston and Moxley spare Omega and head out. Will the Mad King and the Maniac kick off Blood & Guts with some violence and pain of their own?
AEW is picture in picture as Sammy returns!
The Spanish God brings back his cue cards! “War does not determine who is right, only who is left. On May 5th, at Blood & Guts, I will start the CARNAGE! I will start the WAR! I will be the first man in that cage! And the first man… with Pinnacle BLOOD on his hands!” Sammy has the last word and promises to fire the first shot, but will he be the most pivotal part of the war between Inner Circle and Pinnacle?
Tony Schiavone interviews Taz backstage.
The leader of Team Taz wants to say that we just witnessed Brian Cage beat the #1 wrestler in the world, so that makes Team Taz number one! They have unfinished business with a certain someone, but he hasn’t seen Christian Cage around yet. Oh, here he is, walking in now! Well here’s the deal, Christian! Last week, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs beat Christian’s ass from “pillar to post,” and one mistake cost him! Now Christian will have to deal with someone else in Team Taz! Christian says enough of the games. At one point in time, Taz was one of the baddest dudes, talking a big game and backing it up. He’d beat men down, make them tap out, and make it look easy.
Nowadays, Taz still talks tough, but the backing-it-up part… Not so much. So what did Taz do? He surrounded himself with the biggest and best prospects. And when those guys get the success we all know they’ll get, Taz can be there to bask in it with them, as if he did it himself, just to feed his own ego! Then he sees a guy like Christian, returning after a seven-year retirement, representing everything Taz wishes he could do. Taz wanted to come back but he didn’t, Christian has, and now Taz wants to leech off him! Christian won’t allow that to happen! Taz can send his team one by one, but Christian is fine with that. It isn’t win or lose, but win and learn.
Hobbs learned, and if Starks gets in the ring with Christian, he’ll learn something, too! It might be a bitter pill to swallow, but they’ll be better off for it! And maybe, before it’s too late, they’ll realize they’re all better off without Taz! Will Captain Charisma open Absolute’s eyes soon enough?
Kris Statlander w/ Orange Cassidy VS Penelope Ford w/ Kip Sabian!
The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien became an honorary Best Friend and helped them win Arcade Anarchy, but that didn’t sit well with Mrs. Superbad! Will Penelope get even with Statlander and move up the ranks at the same time?
The bell rings, she and Ford tie up and fire off hands! Ford KICKS, pie faces and runs, but into a SPINNING POWERSLAM! Fans fire up as Ford flounders up, and Kris trophy lifts to SLAM Ford down! Ford bails out, Kris pursues but Ford trips her and drags her to the apron. Ford spins Kris to ROCK her with a forearm! Ford then pushes Kris to a corner, and slingshots, but misses the knee drop! Kris builds speed but Ford moves, so Kris cartwheels out of the ring to BOOP her nose! Kris then fires off forearms, puts Ford in the ring, and gives a thumbs up to Cassidy! Kip shouts at Kris and that distracts her so Ford can BOOT her down! Ford slingshots again for the KNEE DROP!
Fans boo as Ford talks trash on Kris and dribbles her on the floor! Ford drags Kris up and whips her into railings as AEW goes picture in picture!
Ford CLUBS Kris on her back, kicks her around, but Kris kicks back. Ford returns to CLUB Kris on the back, and pushes her into the ring to push her around more. Ford drags Kris back up, kicks her in the face, then again! Kris clubs Ford, Ford BOOTS Kris! Ford scowls as she stalks Kris to a corner, then scrapes her face along the ropes! The ref counts, Ford chokes Kris and gets a kiss from Kip, then lets off at 4. Cassidy shrugs at what Mr. & Mrs. Superbad are even doing, but Ford turns Kris around to motorcycle HOTSHOT her into ropes! The ref reprimands but the damage is done. Ford CLUBS Kris down as AEW goes to break!
AEW returns and the forearms fly back and forth! Kris and Ford brawl to their feet, Ford gets the edge but Kris counters to an STO BACKBREAKER! Ford goes to a corner, Kris runs in and uppercuts! Kris whips Ford back in to uppercut again! And then side-to-side for the KNEE WASH! Kris carries Ford around for a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Ford survives but Kris keeps her cool. Kris drags Ford up and runs, but Ford avoid the knee to GERMAN SUPLEX! Kris is in a daze as Ford gets her back up. Ford runs Kris to BULLDOG in the buckles! Ford then goes up top for a BLOCKBUSTER! It wasn’t the cleanest, but Ford covers, TWO!!

AEW hears from Preston Vance.
“To be the one to bring the TNT title back to the Dark Order after someone like Brodie had it, that would mean the world to me. That would define my entire career.” Brodie influenced Vance from day one, and is the one who got hi his shot. Vance will never forget the day Brodie gave him a mask and said, “You are one of us.” The TNT Championship is THE title to Vance, because it represents Brodie Lee and the reason why Vance is here. Will Number 10 feel like number one against the Relentless Darby Allin?
Six Man Tag: The Nightmare Family VS The Factory!
Dustin Rhodes, Lee Johnson & Billy Gunn look to represent for Cody against the men who betrayed them! But in another act of defiant disrespect, QT Marshall, Aaron Solow, Nick Comoroto & Anthony Ogogo arrive in the Nightmare Express, the Rhodes Family bus! How did they have the keys for that?! Cody headlock punches QT until he stumbles, and then Cody gets the legs! A Figure Four leglock on top of the bus! QT taps but this isn’t a match, just a fight! Cody has avenged himself and the Nightmare Family, but this is far from over!
BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!
Despite what was once advertised, “card subject to change.” Blood & Guts won’t be the only bit of violence and pain, as now, after what we just saw, Cody and QT will settle things 1v1 in the ring! But with The Factory allowed ringside, will the numbers game win out again? And on top of all that, the tag match of Kenny Omega & MT Nakazawa VS Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston is made official! Will all these grudges finally be settled on what will surely be the most violent night in AEW history?
Plus, Britt Baker looks to maintain her top spot in the AEW Women’s Division, and there will be a FATAL 4 WAY Tag Team Eliminator, pitting the top four teams against each other! Will SCU survive going against Jurassic Express, The Acclaimed and The Varsity Blondes in one match to get their shot at the Young Bucks?
And there’s more! For May 12th, it will be a special NJPW AEW crossover! Because whether Moxley wins or loses to Omega & Nakazawa next week, he will defend his IWGP United States Championship against Blue Justice, Yuji Nagata! Will Nagata take this title off Moxley and bring it back to Japan?

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)
Despite All Ego trying to screw Darby over, he finds a way to win again! Nine successful and consecutive defenses means Darby is setting a new record for this workhorse title! Vance shows respect by helping Darby up, and Darby shows respect by showing the Brodie Lee tribute armband off to the cameras. But Ethan is back! Darby chases him off, and SCORPIO SKY blindsides Sting! Ethan & Scorpio stomp away on Sting and Darby! Scorpio stomps away on Sting’s legs, Ethan helps out, and Scorpio puts on the KNEEBAR OF THE REVOLUTION! Ethan makes Darby watch Sting tap out to Scorpio’s hold!
But here comes Lance Archer and Preston Vance! They chase Scorpio & Ethan off, but the damage has been done! Will anyone teach Ethan & Scorpio a thing about respect? Or will they disrespectfully devastate every division in AEW?
My Thoughts:
This was another awesome episode here. First off, Hangman VS Cage was a great opener, and I did NOT expect Cage to win! That might actually be another part of the brilliant pacing for Hangman in AEW. A loss at this point could bring Hangman down a few spots, so he’d have to take time to build back up to face Omega. This could be how AEW paces it out so Hangman faces Omega at All Out 2021 and uses that anniversary of the inaugural title match for Hangman’s crowning achievement. Christian and Taz had a very good segment together, too, and this is a good way to set up the series of Christian VS Team Taz, rightfully culminating in Christian Cage VS Brian Cage, maybe IN a cage? CAGECEPTION!!
We got a good and certainly very interesting promo from The Elite. I do like that they’re scared of any and all car horns now because of what Moxley & Kingston did. The Bucks VS The Sydals was a great match, but of course the Bucks win. SCU has a good promo, but as I was saying for Dark classic last night, I just didn’t feel the drama of how SCU has been undefeated since their self-challenge. Now, the Fatal 4 Way of the top teams is a great move to turn up the heat in a short amount of time, but we still should’ve gotten a long string of matches that get more and more intense and competitive, so that SCU at #1 VS Jurassic Express at #2 is this barn burner that SCU manages to win so that they are absolutely red hot going into a match with The Bucks.
Kingston not wanting to play along with a “sports entertainer” (aka WWE) move was very appropriate. Him and Moxley threatening Omega’s leg was a good way of getting their way, but you can bet Nakazawa takes the loss in next week’s tag match. Moxley VS Nagata the week after is going to be solid stuff, and on one hand, being on TNT means more people are likely to watch it than if this was on NJPW Strong, which is only available through the New Japan World streaming service. And on the other, Omega can definitely screw Moxley over so that Nagata gets the title and brings it back to NJPW prime programming. I just don’t know where this is going for Moxley & Kingston, as Moxley’s had his matches with Omega for the AEW title and I don’t see them throwing another one in the mix.
We got a very good match out of Penta VS Cassidy, even with Abrahantes and Trent getting involved. Rey Fenix beat Chuck Taylor on Elevation, Penta beat Trent last Dynamite and Cassidy beats Penta tonight, I hope we can get PAC in on this so that we get all the round robin combinations possible before that eventual Six Man Tag blow-off. Statlander and Ford had their own solid match, but it makes sense for Statlander to win since she’s the one returning and needs to build up strength again in the rankings to match where she was before her absence. Even before Kip jinxed himself with saying it’d be fine, I knew Miro was going to mangle him. Miro should definitely use this as his way to move on from Kip and vice-versa.
We got a very good Six Man Tag out of Nightmare Family VS The Factory, and of course The Factory wins that one. However, I’m a bit disappointed Cody made his return tonight. We should’ve gotten more out of Dustin VS QT before getting to Cody VS QT, but I guess Cody couldn’t help but book himself for what will surely be one of the biggest nights Dynamite has ever had with Blood & Guts. And speaking of B&G, that parley was a great segment with some great promos from both sides, but just saying Pinnacle gets advantage is a bit underwhelming, especially coming from AEW. You have Elevation, why not make it matter by putting the advantage match on there?
We got a good vignette for Preston Vance, and an awesome main event for the TNT Championship. Darby going after the mask only made him out to be a jerk, because Vance isn’t a luchador, that mask is about being in the Dark Order and Brodie seeing his potential. To be honest, Darby could’ve ripped that thing half off and Vance could’ve still fought him without being bothered by it. I should’ve figured Ethan Page would interfere, but it didn’t affect the outcome, and I’m not sure how to feel about that. Is Darby’s power level too high now? Ethan and Scorpio attacking after the match made sense, though, as did Archer helping run them off. I wonder if we get Ethan & Scorpio VS Archer & Vance before Ethan & Scorpio VS Darby & Sting.
My Score: 9.4/10

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?
10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. Winner: Will Ospreay, by submission
That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?
BREAKING NEWS for next week!
If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!
Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!
Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?
Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!
With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?
Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.
He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?
AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!
Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

Two minutes and 15 seconds is all Slay & Ley got, will any team last even that long? Or will the Divine Dominion continue to dominate AEW until the end of time?
BREAKING NEWS for Double or Nothing!
The Triangle of Madness may have misted Persephone and injured Alex Windsor, but that only heaps on more trouble for the champion! Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?
BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!
The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?
Don Callis speaks, again.
“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.
“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.
Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!
This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?
Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!
Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!
Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall
A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?
AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!
Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?
My Thoughts:
A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.
I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.
Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.
Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.
My Score: 8.8/10
