NXT UK Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders Match: Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter VS Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz!

The mini tournament finally finishes up as the hottest tag team under the sun takes on a duo just as dynamic as them! Will Smith & Carter prove they are Ready and Forward, Always Forward? Or will the Bomber and his buddy prove to be unstoppable on their way to the titles?

Introductions are made, the teams sort out, and we start with Starz and Carter. They circle, tie up, and Carter waistlocks but Starz throws him off. Moustache Mountain is torn on who they want to face, but Starz has the wristlock. Carter kips up, wrenches back, but Starz spins, rolls and gets away. BT Sports Studio cheers, the two tie up again. Starz waistlocks and SLAMS Carter, then shoots the half to a cover, TWO! Starz keeps on Carter with a facelock but Carter keeps Starz from turning him. Starz cartwheels, gets the leg and trips Carter. Carter kicks Starz away and kips up, then runs in to tiger wall kick!

Carter fires up, he eggs Starz on and then arm-drags Starz down for an armlock. Starz endures, fights up, but Carter wrenches. Carter uses a straight arm level to lift Starz, but Starz gets around. Starz rolls, cartwheels, and back drops! Carter lands on his feet but turns around into an arm-drag! Starz has the armlock, Carter rolls and kicks free, then tags Smith. Starz arm-drags Smith down! Starz shifts to a facelock, Mastiff tags in, and they hand off Smith to a headlock. Smith powers out but Mastiff runs him over! Mastiff snapmares Smith for a SEATED SENTON! Cover, TWO! Mastiff keeps Smith from Carter and tags Starz in.

Mastiff hands Smith to Starz for a wrench but Smith knees him low. Smith whips Starz into the corner, wrenches the arm and tags Carter. Smith WRINGS Starz out, gives Carter a boost in the SLINGSHOT TACKLE! Cover, TWO! Carter keeps on Starz with a facelock but Starz endures. Carter changes to a headlock, Starz rolls to a cover. TWO, and Carter holds on tight. Starz fights up, back suplexes but Carter lands on his feet! Mastiff tags in, Carter hurries to dropkick him! And again! Carter whips, Mastiff reverses but Carter QUEBRADAS but flops as Mastiff moves! Mastiff runs to SENTON! Cover, TWO!!

Carter survives but Mastiff brings him up. Carter throws body shots, Mastiff shoves him away to then catch his kick. Mastiff throws Carter but Carter ROLLIGN AX KICKS! Tag to Smith, he and Carter mug Mastiff then double whip. They DOUBLE BACK DROP Mastiff! Starz runs in, DOUBLE HIP TOSS! Smith & Carter are fired up as Mastiff & Starz regroup outside. Moustache Mountain is loving this, and Seven says Smith & Carter are looking like a real tag team now. Not that they weren’t before, but they’re working together well. The ref counts, Mastiff gets in at 7 but Starz tags in! Starz dodges Smith to fire off EuroUppers!

Smith fires EuroUppers in return, so Starz CHOPS! Starz reels Smith in but Smith back drops. Starz sunset flips, Smith stays up to drag Starz up, but Starz dropkicks! Smith blocks the judo throw, but Starz headscissors Smith to a corner! Starz runs in, monkey flip but Smith handsprings through! Starz still dropkicks Smith down! Starz fires more EuroUppers, whips Smith to ropes, but Smith holds ropes. Starz runs in, but no flip this time as Smith tosses him out! Tag to Carter, he fetches Starz into the ring. Cover, TWO! Carter drags Starz up to CLUB him down, then whips him to the corner. Carter back elbows Starz then tags Smith.

Carter snapmares Starz down for Smith to drop knees! Cover, TWO! Smith keeps on Starz at the ropes, scoops and SLAMS him, then tags Carter. Carter PENALTY KICKS Starz down, coordinates with Smith, SILLY STRING SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Carter drags Starz up to snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Carter keeps close but Starz throws body shots and forearms. Carter knees low, whips Starz to a corner, but Starz boots back! Carter WHEEL KICKS in return! Cover, TWO! Starz is still in this but Carter tags Smith. Smith brings Starz around, CLUBS him, Seven admires the stiffness, and Smith back suplexes. Starz lands on his feet!

Starz leaps, Smith catches him and throws him from Mastiff. Shoulder ram and short arm LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Smith hurries to get Starz up, Electric Chair Lift, tag to Carter. But Starz fights them both off! He boots Smith down, has Carter stuck up top, SUPER BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Both men are down, writhing and crawling. Starz and Carter each crawl, hot tag to Smith! Smith rushes in but misses, hot tag to Mastiff! Mastiff fires off haymakers, uppercuts and a whip. Kitchen sink knee takes Smith down, then Mastiff elbows Carter. Smith hits Starz, dodges Mastiff, but runs into an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly!

Carter rushes in, but Mastiff headbutts him, then suplexes him out of the ring! Smith ROCKS Mastiff, Mastiff hits back! They brawl with forearms, Smith gets the edge. Smith whips, Mastiff reverses but Smith BOOTS back. Smith runs in, into a LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Mastiff drags Smith up, fireman’s carries, but Smith fights free. Mastiff ROCKS Smith, whips him to a corner, but Smith goes up, only to turn around into a head to head collision! Starz reaches out, Mastiff says he can do this. Mastiff waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX Smith! Starz still wants in, Mastiff says he’s almost finished this. Mastiff runs corner to corner, INTO THE VOID misses!!

Smith hurries, hot tag to Carter! Carter runs in at Mastiff, SHOTGUN KNEES to the back, LARIAT from Smith! Then ASSISTED MOONSAULT! Cover, Smith intercepts Starz, Carter & Smith win!!

Winners: Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contenders to the NXT UK Tag Team Championships)

Mastiff didn’t let Starz help out, and now they’ve lost! The hottest tag team under the sun, the freshest flavor of the brand, and now the newest tag team contenders! Bate says he and Seven are going to facing the very best version of Smith & Carter, but Seven says they’ll be the very best version of Moustache Mountain! Will Smith & Carter stay hot? Or will the Big Strong Boy and Artful Dodger find a way to cool them off?

NXT UK Media interviews A-Kid.

He has a match against Saxon Huxley next week, what are his thoughts? His thoughts on Saxon… “No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness.” A-Kid sees a bit of himself in Saxon. A-Kid respects Saxon, and says Saxon is just misunderstood. A-Kid has been helping Saxon with some “etiquette,” maybe they can make some progress.

We enter a montage, and first up is fine dining. Saxon wants to use his hands but AK slaps his fingers and has him use silverware. Then in a game of chess, AK advises Saxon on what is a good move and what is a bad move. And then they go into complex calculus, and Saxon isn’t sure about this. They try classical music, Saxon just falls asleep. Also Saxon gets frustrated with the game of chess. And just because he uses a fork doesn’t mean Saxon eats like a gentleman… AK says it’s a work in progress, but we’ll try again next week.

NXT UK Media catches up with Nathan Frazer.

How was his day at the Performance Center? Good, as always. They bring up his interactions with Die Familie from last week. What are his thoughts on them? He doesn’t really get it. They’re just weird. Just Teoman and some henchmen. Frazer goes to leave but his car’s acting up. He checks his engine, and then Rohan Raja and Charlie Dempsey jump Frazer! Teoman directs them, they throw him against the wall and then Dempsey has a SLEEPER HOLD! Frazer gets loose but Raja BOOTS him down! Die Familie takes the camera to tell NXT UK this is what happens when you disrespect the family!

Isla Dawn VS Myla Grace!

The Wicked Witch of NXT UK has slowly been gaining power as she returns the trophies she collected. Will she become a force of nature with yet another victory? Or will Dawn learn to lose with Grace?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Dawn throws Grace down hard then laughs at her. Grace comes back, they tie up, but Dawn puts Grace in the corner. Grace shoves Dawn away to roll her up, TWO! Grace kicks, sweeps the legs, then runs to basement dropkick! Cover, ONE! Dawn laughs it off but Grace whips. Dawn reverses, kicks a leg out then KNEES Grace down! Dawn stomps Grace, stalks her to a corner, then drags her up to KICK her down! Grace kicks back but Dawn ROCKS her with a right. Dawn whips Grace hard into the corner, then watches her go along the ropes. Dawn stands on Grace and pulls her by her hair!

The ref counts, Dawn lets off at 4, and she goes to the apron. Grace is stuck in the ropes, Dawn KNEES her down! Dawn talks to whatever spirits she communes with, goes up top, but Grace dodges! Grace fires forearms, DECKS Dawn, then whips her to ropes. Dawn reverses but Grace tilt-o-whirls to headscissor! Grace runs in at the corner, blocks the boots and puts Dawn in the ropes. Grace CHOPS Dawn on the back, then hits a 619 to knock Dawn down! Grace climbs, reels Dawn in, TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! Grace drags Dawn up, Dawn throws body shots. Dawn wrenches and HOOK KICKS Grace!

Dawn fireman’s carries and swings, SIDEWALK SLAM!

Winner: Isla Dawn, by pinfall

It’s not just hocus pocus, Dawn is becoming a legitimate threat! Will she be targeting whoever it is that walks away with the NXT UK Women’s title tonight?

NXT UK Media speaks with Amale.

How is she feeling after her match with Jinny? Jinny just proved that she can’t win a match without cheating. Nina Samuels takes over the interview to make this the Nina Samuels Show. She’s going to perform a noble act in the name of journalism in interviewing someone she has quite the history with. Someone who tried to derail Nina last year, but simply set her on the path of super stardom. Amale asks Nina what she wants. Well, how is the French Hope is feeling when she showed she is hopeless like all the losers that worship her? Amale snatches the mic to say that attacking her is bad enough, but attacking the fans and community is too far! They’ll settle this in the ring!

Amale pushes the mic back into Nina, and Nina says, “There you have it. Another exclusive, courtesy of the Nina Samuels Show.” But will Nina regret hogging the spotlight now that Amale’s called her out?

NXT UK also interviews Sam Gradwell.

What are his thoughts on Kenny Williams costing him and Saxon Huxley their match? Yes, Kenny did do that, didn’t he? Gradwell wants them to ask what they really want to ask. He got a taste of his own medicine, right? Well maybe, yeah. Gradwell knows better than anyone that if you wanna get anywhere in this industry, you gotta ruffle a few feathers, maybe poke the bear. Gradwell isn’t stupid. He gets not everyone likes him. But he’s no cockroach, and if you wanna scuttle onto someone else’s door, then be ready for who’s on the other side. Gradwell doesn’t think Kenny is ready for the Thunderstorm.

Sha Samuels speaks.

The East End Butcher seems to have a new side hustle in some Valentine’s Day specials. “Noam’s Hot Date?” Sha has himself at 3/1 odds? He also has Xia Brookside at 5/2, “Aleesha Foooooox” as 8/1, “Jane the Fizzio” at 12/1, but Noam rushes in saying Supernova Sessions got renewed for a second season! Fantastic! That’s money! But then Gallus walks in and want to back Joe Coffey taking the Heritage Cup. Dar and Sha laugh at that, the market’s closed right now. Then let’s negotiate a spot on Supernova Sessions. Oh, good idea, but uh, Dar’s already got a real superstar lined up in Jordan Devlin.

Dar and Sha excuse themselves. Time is money, places to go, people to see. Thank you, buh-bye. Wolfgang takes it upon himself to add a name to the list: GBOT at EZ PZ. Will the Scottish Supernova have no choice but to take the Iron King seriously very, very soon?

NXT UK Women’s Championship Japanese Street Fight: Meiko Satomura VS Blair Davenport!

The Final Boss won before and Ichiban Gaijin couldn’t stand it, so she made sure Meiko Satomura wasn’t standing after the match. But this won’t be another match, it’ll be a FIGHT! Will the Best in the World still be the champion? Or will there be a new Final Boss in NXT UK?

Blair already has a kendo stick at the ready as she makes her entrance. As for Meiko, she simply brings the belt. The introductions are made, the title is raised, and we see just how far these two are willing to go for the gold!

Blair swings that kendo stick but Meiko dodges, then kicks it away! Blair ducks one kick but not the SPIN KICK! Blair bails out, Meiko goes to the apron but Blair ROCKS her! Blair whips Meiko into the post! Blair hurries to look under the ring, she brings out more kendo sticks and even some chairs, and a chain! Bair THROWS a chair, but Meiko ducks it! Chair hits post, Blair BOOTS Meiko! Meiko ROCKS Blair back, and whips, only for Blair to reverse! Meiko is sent into barriers, but Blair hurries to get a chair. Blair sets the chair up, CLUBS Meiko, then brings her over. Blair ROCKS Meiko and makes Meiko take a seat. Blair then BOOTS Meiko down!

Blair taunts the champion as she looms over her. Blair kicks Meiko around, goes up the steel steps, but Meiko JAMS Blair with a chair! Blair falls, Meiko storms around to look under the ring herself. Meiko brings out NUNCHUCKS?! Meiko puts Blair in the ring, and she keeps Blair from getting the chair. Meiko stomps Blair, then starts swinging them chucks! Blair is scared, she gets a CRACK to the ribs! And then to the back! Meiko tosses the chucks aside to stand Blair up. Meiko whips Blair to a corner, then runs in for a forearm smash! SAIDO SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Blair crawls to a corner but Meiko gets the chair!

Meiko runs in, but Blair BOOTS the chair away. Then Blair goes up to missile dropkick the chair into Meiko’s face! Meiko flounders all the way out but she’s somehow still in this. Blair goes out to drag Meiko up, and she RAMS Meiko into barriers. Blair ROCKS Meiko with forearms, then waistlocks, only for Meiko to throw back elbows. PELE! Down goes Blair but she sits up, into a KICK from Meiko! Meiko looks around, grabs the chain from earlier, and she wraps it around her leg! Blair gasps as she sits back up, Meiko aims and FULL METAL KICKS Blair into the steel steps! Meiko waits for Blair to get up, Blair SMACKS the leg with a kendo stick!

Blair fires off more, Meiko tumbles off the steps to the ramp. Blair puts everything in the ring, stomps Meiko, and Meiko undoes the steel chain. Blair brings out a trash can, a kendo stick, and a spare crossbar! The kind they use to attach buckle to post! Blair puts even more things in the ring, then puts Meiko in. Blair positions the trash can in a corner, grabs that crossbar, and she puts Meiko’s fingers through the gap! Blair wrenches the fingers way back! Meiko endures so Blair brings the bar off the fingers. Blair takes aim, but Meiko drop toeholds Blair down! STF!! But the bad hand is holding her facelock back!

Blair crawls, gets the kendo stick and she SMACKS Meiko! Blair is free, she SMACKS Meiko again! And again! Blair kicks Meiko down, then looms over Meiko. Blair uses the kendo stick to pull Meiko back in a camel clutch! Meiko endures, glares through the pain, and she fights her way around! Meiko reaches out, she gets the rope, but Blair stomps Meiko’s arm. Blair SMACKS Meiko again, then kicks her around. Meiko drags herself to the apron but Blair triangle jumps. Meiko anchors her feet, Blair kicks Meiko away. DOUBLE STOMP on the apron! But that landing was double-edged for Blair’s ankle!

The ref checks, she gives the X! Blair may have just lost this match and even sidelined herself! Medics hurry out, the bell rings to end the match!

Referee Stoppage

This wasn’t quite how Meiko wanted to win, but she is still NXT UK Women’s Champion. Will Blair be able to return from this injury and try again? Who will step up to the Final Boss in the meantime?

My Thoughts:

This was gearing up to be a great episode, and it’s a damn shame about Blair Davenport’s injury. This is the second time a top title main event didn’t get to finish properly, but all from understandable accidents. Blair really was going for broke on that apron double stomp, she had a really bad landing right after. Hopefully, that is only a sprain and she can come back soon. But for right now, Meiko is still champion, maybe they can fast track her match with Isla Dawn. Dawn has a good match with Myla Grace and gets another win, she’s building a lot of momentum and she could give Meiko a very good match with a lot of striking.

We got a lot of good promos to set up coming matches. Amale returns to Nina Samuels, they’re going to have a good match that could even set up Amale VS Jinny II. Nathan Frazer gets jumped by Die Familie so he’s definitely having a match with them. Gradwell calls out Kenny Williams for a match, but I wish there was connection back to him and Saxon Huxley. AK is showing he can be the serious one in comedy segments as he “teaches” Saxon etiquette, and they’re going to have a really fun match. I almost want to see AK be a loose ally of Gradwell’s & Huxley’s so that they can take on Die Familie 3v3 or something like that.

Gallus interacting with Dar & Sha was great, as was the continuity of “Aleesha Foooox” on that list of potential dates for Dar. Just as I was questioning what Joe Coffey is to do in NXT UK, he’s going to try for the Heritage Cup. It’ll be a great match, but I’d be surprised if Joe won. I hope with Devlin on the “second season premiere” of Supernova Sessions, we get that faction I’ve wanted to see of Devlin, Dar and Sha. They could have a really good Six Man against Gallus before Joe takes on Dar for the cup.

And the opening tag match was great stuff, but I was a little perplexed that only now was there dysfunction for Starz & Mastiff. This should’ve been two cohesive teams and one just outmaneuvers the other, but Smith & Carter getting the win here is still good. They’re going to give Moustache Mountain one hell of a match, it could go either way really.

My Score: 8.5/10

Slammiversary Fallout! Where do things go on the way to Victory Road?

Published

on

Well now we start the fall out of Slammiversary. Josh Alexander in his bad bitch summer, X-Speedball legacy, ABC got the t-a-g and Jordynne is still in charge of the Knockouts division. Like I said at the end of Slammiversary, all of the champions being Babyfaces is stupid. They need to drop a couple titles fairly quickly, because I don’t care what some people say, Nic Nemeth ain’t gonna bring any eyes to the brand. He’s about as hot as day old Hamburger Helper over a camping sterno.

We’ll probably open with the luke warm champion, so tune in like 10 minutes late for anything of substance to be happen.

https://x.com/i/status/1816629254349533588

Ratings:

  • Steve Maclin vs Cody Deaner: Maclin wins via KIA – *
  • AJ Francis w/Rich Swann & Josh Bishop vs Sami Callihan: AJ wins via Down Payment – **
  • Hammer Your ASH (ASH by Elegance & Alexander Hammerstone) vs JuggerYoung (Jordynne Grace & Eric Young): Hammer Your ASH wins via Torture Rack – ** 1/2
  • The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & JDC) w/Alisha Edwards vs Matt Hardy & The ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey): Broken Alphabet wins via Twist & Splash – ***

Results:

Nemeth gives the ole “I’ll be a fighting champion…blah blah” promo and drops the “any company” line that we’ve already understood what that means. Campaign Singh cuts him off…and I never thought I’d be happy for Campaign Singh to walk out and say anything…ever. And…Mustafa’s promo is worse than Dolph’s. He’s gone from parody to caricature even saying “it was the biggest screw job Montreal ever saw”. Like some of these lines are cheap heat, but most are just brain dead comments that wouldn’t get a reaction out of anyone (and the crowd was silent for that comment). Mustafa gets caught in an Archer “phrasing” moment about getting screwed hard, but this is painful. Promos written by 14 year olds everyone…

This ends with Ali challenging Nemeth for the World Title. While I’m not against walk up challenges, I watch Japanese wrestling, I don’t really get the point aside from doing it just to do it.

ABC and Matt Hardy have a small promo, and I’m still not really a fan of Unbroken Matt Version 6.0. The floating between Broken voice and his normal voice sounds amateurish.

OH LOOK, finally a match 20 minutes into the show. And it’s my son Steve Maclin! OH CHRIST he’s facing Deaner. This has been 25 minutes of talking followed by the worst god damn attempt at a gimmick. Deaner’s little “Papa Santino told me I can wipe my ass only if the crowd agrees”. This gimmick should die in a fire.

Steve Maclin vs Cody Deaner

Deaner started off quick because Maclin was in disbelief that Deaner was actually gonna fight him. Maclin dodges a Crossbody, Busaiku Knee, and just starts beating on Deaner for fun. And this is fun, maybe Maclin can make sure Deaner gets stretchered out and written off forever. How do you call for an ambulance in French? Maclin with the old Back Breaker into a stretch. Deaner tries to nerd rage up, breaks the Back Breaker Stretch, his punch combo, into a Manhattan Drop and Bulldog. Deaner hits the Crossbody, but Maclin kicks out. This is entirely too competitive.

Deaner goes for the Deaner DDT, blocked, Olympic Slam into Splashing Deaner into the corner, Caught in the Crosshairs, K-I-A, thanks for coming you damn dweeb. Stay in Canada and don’t travel Deaner, please.

https://x.com/i/status/1816633784537874761

AJ Francis w/Rich Swann & Josh Bishop vs Sami Callihan

As the bell sounds, Sami knocks Rich off the apron, Low Bridges AJ, does the Beats of the Bodhran on AJ and then AJ eats the offense and strategizes with his crew. Bishop and Rich swarm the ring, Sami allows himself to get distracted so AJ slides in and starts beating on Sami. AJ throats Sami across the middle rope and Rich makes his presence felt, AJ distracts the referee and Rich gets in a lot of cheap shots. Bishop throws Sami back in the ring, and AJ keeps up the pressure. Lots of 5 count chokes and leverage moves. After the commercial break ends, Sami dodges a Tennessee Whiskey Knee, gets in a few shots before Rich trips Sami as he’s setting up a Dive, and then AJ takes advantage of the position and hits the goofball knee strike.

AJ calls for his Chokeslam, Sami tries to break it with Axe Handles, then claws the eyes. Sami goes for a Scoop Slam, gets him part way up and then falls over. AJ Chokeslam again, but he bites his hand and starts fighting back. Launches himself at AJ, sends him bouncing off the ropes and uses the momentum to hit that Scoop Slam that was teased earlier. Sami goes for a Western Lariat but eats a Big Boot. AJ does a little Hulk Hogan pose to signal a Leg Drop, but Sami dodges and then connects on a Sliding Lariat. Thumbs Up, Thumbs….interference. Rich distracts the ref, Bishop lays out Sami, AJ connects with the Down Payment.

Hammer Your ASH (ASH by Elegance & Alexander Hammerstone) vs JuggerYoung (Jordynne Grace & Eric Young)

ASH and Jordynne exchange slaps and then Jordynne starts to out muscle ASH. Spinebuster from Jordynne, Juggernaut Driver attempt, but ASH fights off, rope run, Sattelite DDT into both tagging out. EY does the Flair corner flop, slides back in between Hammer’s legs, and connects on a Neckbreaker. EY is the quicker of the two, but Hammer finally gets his hands on him and a Release Belly to Belly into a full mount raining of fists, then a near fall. Hammer smashes EY in a corner, Arm Wringer into an Irish Whip across, but EY moves and Hammer tags out to ASH. ASH levels Jordynne, peppers EY with a few shots and pulls him back to their corner and starts some tandem offense with Hammerman. Hammer Guerilla Presses ASH and throws her into EY for a near fall. Hammer looks to aim for either a Powerbomb or Nightmare Pendulum, but EY drops it into a Small Package, pinfall kick out, they both run, Double Lariat spot. The Knockouts get tagged in.

Jordynne is in control early, World’s Strongest Slam into a Vader Bomb. Juggernaut Driver attempt, but ASH fights it off and tags out to Hammer. Jordynne and EY do some schoolyard stuff with the old Push while Jordynne is down to trip Hammer. All four get in, ASH gets leveled, EY gets leveled, Hammer and Jordynne have a brief face off, but Hammer throws Jordynne to the apron and ASH connects with a Meteora from the apron. Death Valley Driver from Young on Hammer, ASH stares in shock, EY tells her to get, ASH runs away. EY goes up for his Macho Elbow, and ASH causes him to fall to Hammer’s feet, Torture Rack, and EY submits.

Josh Alexander comes out, with new heel music. And it’s not that bad, definitely better than some other people’s new music. Josh yells at the crowd a bit, says he can’t wait til he’s back in a real Canadian town, like his home of Toronto. Then he drops the mic in lieu of an explanation. The crowd chants him off with the “Nah Nah Nah Nah, Hey Hey Hey”.

https://x.com/i/status/1816647373654724937

The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & JDC) w/Alisha Edwards vs Matt Hardy & The ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey)

JDC and Hardy start, but JDC quickly tags out to Myers and that doesn’t go well. Hardy grabs a hold of Myers, a few Delete chops, drags him to his corner and they all get in a few shots punctuated with Hardy getting tagged back in and an Elbow into Myers’ extended and worked on left arm. Myers stays isolated, back into the corner, Boot to the gut, Ace tags in and wallops Myers. Ace connects on Double Kicks, into Russian Leg Sweep and his half of Click Click Boom, for a 2 count. Myers finally gets free with a Jaw Breaker and tags out to Eddie. But The System gets no momentum, Ace stifles Eddie’s offense and starts a few quick tags with him and Bey for tandem offense. Moose finally comes down the ramp as Eddie kicked out of yet another pinfall attempt because The System has had nothing going for them. Eddie finally gets some offense since Moose was a big enough distraction.

Eddie thinks they have a spot, so he tags back in JDC, but The ABC stop him cold, tag in Matt Hardy, and Matt walks down JDC, but JDC Low Bridges. Matt is on the outside, so all of The System surrounds Hardy, then Joe Hendry’s music hits! That stops the heel beatdown, and we follow Hendry’s entire entrance. So that proves Hendry is bigger than the 8 other people in this frame. Not really sure if that’s optics you want to push along. Ace and JDC try to remind people there’s wrestling going on, but JDC thumbs the eye to get a little something going. Vertical Suplex for a near fall, tag out for Eddie and Eddie lights up Ace with some of those NOAH Chops. Ace retreats to the ropes and Alisha chokes him with the ropes while the ref is distracted.

Myers gets tagged in, Ace tries to use the crowd energy, Myers stops it at first but then Ace slips a Scoop Slam and tags out to Bey. Hot tag, strike rush, Double Stomp, educated feet, Leap Frog to the corner but Lish climbs on the apron and yells at Bey which stops his rhythm. Myers kicks his feet out and causes Bey to crash. Eddie tags in for a few shots, then to JDC and Slingshot Knees, Wringer Snapmare, Bow and Arrow Submission, and JDC is just doing solid wrestling work right now. Uppercut between the Shoulder Blades as Bey tries to get out, tag to Myers and Bey is still eating offense. Eddie tags in, Bey tries the Sunset Flip, but Eddie tags out before going over, so Myers folds up Bey for a near fall and then tags out to JDC who connects on a Standing Suplex, slams Bey’s face into the corner, Eddie tags in, and Bey finally fights up to his feet, Eddie just flatten Bey’s comeback, tries a Tiger Driver but eats an Enzuigiri for a simultaneous tag. JDC and Hardy come in, JDC tries to exit halfway in, but Hardy is wrecking shop. He disposes of Eddie, Myers slides in but eats a tandem Neckbreaker/DDT from Hardy. Face team does the Delete Corner Face Smashes. Poetry in Motion into a Side Effect into Corkscrew Swanton for only 2 since Myers breaks it up! Everyone throwing hands, referee is distracted, Moose comes in to Spear Hardy, but Hardy dodges and throws him into JDC (I get the call back), Hendry then lays out Moose with the big Lariat. Twist of Fate from Hardy, Splash from Bey, Broken Alphabet wins!

Overall Score: 4/10

Ugh, cliche promos, too damn much talking, a competitive squash match with an imbecile as our first “match”, into an overbooked and slow heel match, finally a decent tag match (with the right team going over), into another overbooked match with a “tease” for the mystery backup being more obvious than Jericho’s WWF debut.

Aside from the afore mentioned tag match, The Rascalz promo and The System Promo; this was hard to watch. A lot of cornball promos, Rosemary licks her conspiracy board, storylines got zero traction. Whoopity Doo, Ryan Nemeth got a match next week and we get an undead wedding.

While this was a bad episode, it was bad by at least new standards. We’re not back in the TNA Dark Days again, but this was…a useless show.
