All Ego isn’t in any good mood after losing to Miro on the road to the All-Atlantic Championship. Will he take out his anger on Freshly Squeezed and his new theme song? Or will Cassidy, Trent, Chuck and Motor City all rock out tonight?
Lambert has the mic to say, “It’s not the size of the man in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the man! Says the 145 pound dork of a man with his hands in his pockets. I’m surprised you’re strong enough to pull those skinny jeans up. What’re you gonna do with a real-life heavyweight body slamming you all over that ring?” Lambert tells the ref to listen up. The Michigan Athletic Commission has rules and regulations, and since this isn’t an election, we’re gonna follow them! So unless those two idiots, Trent & Chuck, can show you a valid manager’s license, how about the ref does his job and tell them go be Best Friends backstage?
Fans tell Lambert to STFU but Lambert says he’s still right! The Best Friends aren’t officially managers, so they have to leave. At least their tie-dye suits look awesome. Lambert sings “Hey hey hey, good-bye~” while fans call BS but the bell rings all the same. Ethan mocks Cassidy putting hands in pockets, and says Cassidy should just go ahead and get that out of the way. Fans are thunderous for “Freshly Squeezed!” and Cassidy puts his hands up, to put them in the pockets. Ethan rushes in but Cassidy ducks, only for Ethan to throw him down by his hair! Ethan steps on Cassidy and flexes, but Cassidy kips up!
Cassidy dodges Ethan again, rolls and SHOTGUNS Ethan to a corner! Cassidy kips up again and now he flexes! Fans fire up and Cassidy says he’s gonna raise the roof. Cassidy goes to scoop Ethan but Ethan is pretty hefty. Ethan scoops Cassidy easily but Cassidy easily slips off to waistlock. Cassidy shoves Ethan to ropes, things speed up and Cassidy hurdles, but Ethan blocks hip toss to hip toss, only for Cassidy to arm-drag! Ethan bails out, Cassidy builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit and Cassidy puts Ethan in fast! Cassidy goes up, CROSSBODY! Cover, ONE!! Cassidy flexes again and then says he’s gonna raise the roof!
Cassidy goes to scoop but Ethan throws down elbows! Fans boo as Ethan scoops Cassidy again. Cassidy slips off again, shoves Ethan into a corner, then runs, tilt-o-whirl- NO DDT as Ethan shoves Cassidy away then CLOBBERS him with the shoulder tackle! Fans boo but Lambert cheers as Ethan looms over Cassidy. Ethan drags Cassidy up, fans rally for “Freshly Squeezed!” but Ethan puts Cassidy’s hands in his own pockets. Ethan then throws a hard body shot, then taunts the fans. Ethan deadlift suplexes Cassidy, carries him around and then SLAMS him down! Ethan flexes again and grins while fans boo.
Ethan looms over Cassidy again, drags him back up, but Cassidy shoots around to roll him up! TWO, and Ethan BOOTS Cassidy out of the ring! Ethan wants after Cassidy but the ref keeps him back. All to plan as Lambert cracks open a bottle of OJ. Lambert gives Cassidy some sloth kicks of his own, and flexes. Lambert is having a laugh while Ethan lounges and AEW goes picture in picture.
Cassidy gets up, gets in the ring, but Ethan is right on him. Ethan ROCKS Cassidy with a forearm and has him in a corner. Ethan taunts the fans, throws down hands and stomps on Cassidy, but lets off as the ref counts. The ref also warns Lambert to stay back but Ethan drags Cassidy up. Ethan ROCKS Cassidy with another right and Cassidy falls over! Ethan trots around like he won already but it wasn’t a knockout blow. Cassidy slowly sits up at the ropes but Ethan drags Cassidy up. Ethan ROCKS Cassidy, ROCKS him again, and again! Ethan whips Cassidy to ropes to CLOBBER him! Ethan gloats while Cassidy stirs.
Ethan stomps Cassidy on his back, drags him up and bumps him off his boot. Ethan RAMS into Cassidy at the corner, and again, and again. The ref counts, Ethan lets off to reel Cassidy in for a PENDULUM BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Ethan is annoyed but he drags Cassidy up again. Ethan ROCKS Cassidy with a haymaker, then has him in the corner again. Dynamite returns to single picture as Ethan whips corner to corner. Cassidy tumbles up and out then slingshot somersaults around Ethan to run and sunset flip! Ethan stays up, drags Cassidy up, and ROUNDHOUSES him into a suplex and SLAM! Cover, TWO!
Fans fire up as Cassidy is still in this! Ethan drags Cassidy back up, Canadian Rack to a crucifix, but Cassidy reaches for his pockets! Ethan stops Cassidy from reaching all the way, but Cassidy keeps trying! Ethan stops Cassidy again, but third time is the charm! The hands are in pockets and Cassidy lands on his feet! But Ethan ROCKS him with a forearm! Ethan brings Cassidy back in, another crucifix lift, but Cassidy RANAS free! Ethan hits buckles, Cassidy shoves him back into the buckles and then table tops him! Fans fire up and Cassidy feeds off the energy! Cassidy climbs up but Lambert grabs at him! Cassidy kicks Lambert away but Ethan ROCKS Cassidy!
Ethan drags Cassidy off the top in a trophy lift! Fans boo but Ethan hits the POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and fans fire up while Ethan is furious! Lambert tells him to finish off this grown up 12-year-old! Ethan rains down fists, fans rally for Cassidy, and Ethan drags Cassidy up. Ethan tells the kids to shut up about Cassidy, then he flips them off! Ethan says this is for the kids, then suplexes Cassidy, but he gets STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Fans fire up and so does Cassidy! Cassidy wants to raise the roof, and he goes to scoop, but Ethan switches and shoves, TILT-O-WHIRL DDT!! Cover, TWO!!
Ethan survives but Cassidy throws off his elbow pad! Fans fire up and Cassidy aims, but Lambert creeps onto the apron! Fans boo, the ref warns Lambert, but Cassidy “pushes” Lambert! And “pushes,” and “pushes,” and “pushes!” Fans fire up for the “palm strikes”, Cassidy winds up, and Lambert actually puts up his guard! Cassidy just takes the orange juice from him and takes a swig. Cassidy gives it back, gives a thumbs up, but then dodges Ethan’s sucker punch! Ethan almost hits Lambert, but then he turns around into an ORANGE PUNCH! ORANGE MIST for Lambert! ORANGE PUNCH again! And then, a SLAM!! Cover, Cassidy wins!!

Now that was fresh! Cassidy gave Ethan and Lambert some Vitamin C, and the Best Friends return to celebrate, with a group hug! GOT to give the people what they want! Will Cassidy rebound from Forbidden Door and head for some gold?
Tony Schiavone is on stage.
“Nothing like being in Detroit, and nothing like Blood & Guts live on Dynamite! And here on TBS, he has a match scheduled coming up, but first, he has something he wants to say. Ladies and gentlemen, here is Christian Cage!” Fans boo Captain Charisma as he makes his entrance after what he did to Jungle Boy at the end of Road Rager. But for having a match in literal minutes, Christian doesn’t look dressed to compete at all! Schiavone isn’t sure what more Christian can say than what he said last week, fans fans boo harder.
Christian says that he was asked by upper management, if fans will give him a second to speak, that he is to come out here and apologize for the things he said about Jungle Boy and his family, namely when he brought up his late father. Christian has never apologized for anything he has said or done his entire career, but that being said, “Jungle Boy I’m sorry your entire family isn’t dead, and they had to witness me end you in that ring two weeks ago on Dynamite! Actually, let me clarify. Everyone in your family, except for your mom, Jungle Boy. Call me.” Fans call Christian an A-Hole and he has the nerve to be sarcastic back to them, “Classy as always, Detroit.”
Christian takes the mic now and says this scumbag city’s only good point is that it’s close to Canada. “Now, you Motor City sweat hogs might be wondering why I’m standing out here in street clothes when I requested a match this week. Well it’s simple. I requested a match but I never said it was for me.” And out comes… LUCHASAURUS?! Christian has turned Luchasaurus into his own personal muscle! Will the wrestling dinosaur destroy all who oppose Captain Charisma?
Luchasaurus w/ Christian Cage VS Serpentico!
The bell rings and SNAKEMAN wants mercy! Luchasaurus isn’t going anywhere, so Serpentico shrugs and runs in, into a HEADBUTT! Luchasaurus drags Serpentico into a wheelbarrow GERMAN SUPLEX! Serpentico flounders and Christian grins. Serpentico staggers up, Luchasaurus scoops him into the JURASSIC FACEBUSTER! Luchasaurus then ties up the legs and puts on his own version of the SNARE TRAP!! Luchasaurus steals Jungle Boy’s signature hold, adding on a nerve hold shoulder claw! Serpentico taps, Luchasaurus wins!

Christian celebrates with his monster. But then, he says it’s not enough. Luchasaurus drags Serpentico out of the ring! Luchasaurus waits for Serpentico to stand, and he clamps on the choke grip! CHOKE SLAM to the floor! Will Captain Charisma unleash this real-life kaiju on all of AEW?
Backstage interview with Wardlow and Scorpio Sky.
There is a No Physicality Agreement right now as the Maestro of Mayhem is finally face-to-face with the AEW TNT Champion. Scorpio says he understands Wardlow is “feeling himself” right now, after beating up a bunch of security guards. But Scorpio ain’t no security guard, he is the TNT Champion! Last time Wardlow came after him, Scorpio laid him out, pinned him in the ring, no questions asked. Schiavone says that actually, there was some assistance. Wardlow says yes, but it doesn’t matter. No more talk, Wardlow is getting sick of it. “Bring every member of American Top Team, I’ll treat every one of them like they are security guards.”
And when Wardlow is done with them, he’ll beat Scorpio’s ass and take that title home with him, where it belongs. Oh, talking real big with the No Physicality Agreement, huh? Well let’s do it like this! Next week, Scorpio VS Wardlow, TNT Championship. And if Wardlow’s so tough, it’ll be a Street Fight! Wardlow’s all for that! But will it be Wardlow or Scorpio who comes to regret taking the gloves off?
Six Man Tag: Max Caster & Gunn Club VS Danhausen & ???
The Acclaimed and Ass Boys are in Michigan, but it’s rare they make their entrance first. Even so, Caster is ready with a diss track! “Acclaimed and the Gunns, we don’t rap with no undertones. We about to beat the sh*t out of a Juggalo! Danhausen is a lightweight, how you gonna cheer a White guy in whiteface? Embarrass my brothers again, we gon make you drink all the tap water in Flint! We’ll send ya ass to the trash, boys! This is what you get for callin’ them the Ass Boys!” Wait, he always does so… Fans chant it already, and Caster gets the mic to Bowens since Austin & Colten aren’t in the mood.
“DETROOOOOIT! The Acclaimed have arrived!! Scissor me, Daddy Ass~!” The message has been sent, but who has the Very Nice, Very Evil overlord found as his partners? Danhausen has a mic of his own to say, “Alright, well, Danhausen heard the Ass Boys. They had some sort of challenge for Danhausen to find partners or something. And I dunno, I thought I found some people who are pretty good at wrestling. IT’S FTR!! The THREE BELT TOP GUYS, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood, loaded up with the AAA, ROH and IWGP Tag Team Championships, are here to bring the fight! Will #FTHausen make Caster eat those words he just rapped?
The teams sort out, Austin starts against Cash and fans are fired up. Cash and Austin circle, tie up, and go around. Austin arm-drags Cash away then flexes on the corner. Fans boo but Cash cools off. Cash and Austin tie up again, Cash headlocks but Austin pulls hair and wrenches free to headlock back. Cash powers out, but Austin runs him over! Austin speeds things up, hurdles, then trips Cash! Fans taunt the “ASS~ BOYS~” and it annoys Austin. Austin rushes Cash but Cash sends him into a corner, then back drops him on the rebound. Austin gets up, swings wild, but ends up in a BIG atomic drop!
Cash SPANKS Austin, then arm-drags him down! Austin gets up but Cash tags Dax. FTR mug Austin and then Dax bumps Austin off buckles. Dax CHOPS, CHOPS and snap suplexes! Dax drops a leg, covers, ONE! Dax drags Austin up to tag Cash back in, and then Cash tags Danhausen. Fans fire up as FTR double whip and double drop toehold Austin, for Danhausen to run and drop an elbow! Danhausen covers, ONE! Danhausen drags Austin up, but Austin CHOPS! Austin bumps Danhausen off buckles, tags Colten, and Gunn Club mugs Danhausen. Colten bumps Danhausen off buckles then stomps a mudhole.
Fans rally for Danhausen but Colten whips him corner to corner. Colten runs in but into a BOOT! Danhausen goes up for a FLYING RANA! Danhausen gives Austin a hip toss! Caster gets in but Danhausen hip tosses him! Colten CLOBBERS Danhausen! Fans boo but Colten sits Danhausen up to rain down fists. Colten keeps on Danhausen while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Colten taunts the fans, drags Danhausen over and tags in Caster. They double whip Danhausen hard into the corner and he falls back. Caster looms over Danhausen, stomps him down, then clamps on a cobra clutch onto Danhausen. Danhausen endures, flails and fights up, and he throws body shots! Danhausen is free, but he runs into a BIG elbow from Caster! Caster drops a knee, covers, TWO! Danhausen is still in this but Caster drags him to the corner. Tag to Austin and they stomp Danhausen. Austin tells FTR to “SUCK IT!” while Caster stomps Danhausen. The ref has to keep Dax back as Austin eggs him on, and that allows even Colten to stomp Danhausen.
Austin drags Danhausen up, tags to Colten, and Colten bumps Danhausen off buckles. Colten whips Danhausen corner to corner hard and Danhausen bounces off buckles. Colten drags Danhausen up, puts him back in the Acclaimed Gunn corner, and tags Caster. Caster climbs up, and he drops ax handles on Danhausen. Caster clamps on with a chinlock and grinds Danhausen down. Danhausen endures, fights up, and hits a JAWBREAKER! Dynamite returns to single picture as both men get up. Fans rally but Caster clinches and puts Danhausen back in the corner. Danhausen DECKS Austin but Caster throws body shots on Danhausen.
Danhausen throws body shots back but Caster shoves Danhausen back. Caster rushes in but Danhausen spins him around to a NORTHERN LIGHTS! Both men are down, fans fire up as they crawl, hot tag to Colten and he grabs Danhausen. Colten feeds Danhausen to Caster’s BIG haymaker! Colten then DROPKICKS Danhausen, Austin tags in to cover, but FTR breaks it! Austin protests but fans rally for Danhausen. Austin drags Danhausen up, taunts FTR, and he suplexes. Danhausen slips out, dodges Austin, hot tag to Dax! Dax JABS away then DECKS Austin! Caster rushes in but Dax DECKS him! Colten rushes in but Dax dodges, and Cash DECKS him!
Cash DECKS Colten again, Austin gets up, but FTR get one Ass Boy each, DOUBLE GERMAN SUPLEXES! They both hold on, FTR DOUBLE GERMAN SUPLEX again! And again! Fans fire up as Motor City becomes Suplex City! Cash tells Billy to SUCK IT before he CLOBBERS Colten! Colten bails out, Cash PLANCHAS him down! Dax still has Austin, GERMAN SUPLEX! GERMAN SUPLEX! Five just for Austin, but here comes a sixth! Dax fires up and so do the fans, Dax whips but Austin reverses, only for Dax to reverse back. Austin dodges to run but into a hip toss! Austin handsprings through and hip tosses, only for Dax to resist, QUICK DRAW!
Both men are down from the partially disrupted move, and fans rally up. Danhausen rises! Dax tags him in! Danhausen aims at Austin, for a BOOT! And then a CURSE~! “Good night, Austin!” Fireman’s carry, but Billy gets in! The ref stops him, but Bowens gets in! He can walk on that leg?! Danhausen drops Austin, but he powers up another curse! Bowens swings his crutch, Danhausen dodges, and Austin gets CLOBBERED! Bowens freaks out, Dax drags him out and Danhausen covers Austin! #FTHAUSEN WINS!!

FTR destroy the wheelchair since Bowens doesn’t need it anymore! Will FTR continue to establish themselves as the top tag team in the world today? The Acclaimed Gunn Club try to figure out what went wrong, but maybe they were just CURSED! Bowens helps Austin up but Austin shoves him away! Austin’s obviously upset over the crutch shot but Billy tries to keep the peace. Austin gets heated and Billy shoves him down?! Billy is upset with his son over what happened, but what does this mean for the faction?

Sonjay starts by saying, “Last week, I was happy, Samoa Joe. This week, I’m mad! Because you’re still not at work! And we need to make things official. July 23rd, ROH returns to PPV, Death Before Dishonor! And what we need from you won’t cut it with this pencil. We need you to take this pen, black ink, sign your name on the dotted line, let’s make this official!” Lethal asks, “How long is it going to take? How long’s it gonna take for you to defend that ROH Television Championship against me? Accept the challenge! The ROH Television Championship, let’s put it on the line! The current ROH Television Champion VS the longest reigning ROH Television Champion! Let’s make it official, Joe!” Singh leans in to tell Joe, “Jay is gonna kill you, man.”
AEW TBS Championship Open Challenge: Jade Cargill w/ The Baddies VS Leila Grey!
The UNDEFEATED 33-0 TBS Champion is ready to get yet another win under her belt. Will Leila come to regret accepting this Open Challenge? Or will she shock the world when she dethrones #ThatBitch?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if Grey can get some gold!
Grey and Jade tie up, Jade has a cording hold then CLUBS Grey in the chest. And CLUBS her again! And again, then throws knee after knee! Jade scoops, fireman’s carries, then TOSSES Grey to BOOT her down! Grey flounders, the Baddies of Detroit cheer as Jade dribbles, but runs into BOOTS! Grey leaps, but into Jade’s arms! Jade hits a FALL AWAY SLAM! Jade kips up and fans fire up as she watches Grey crawl. Jade kicks Grey, drags her up, and says she is THAT B- Grey rolls her up! TWO!! Grey fires off forearms, backs Jade down, and fires up! Grey runs in to SHINING WIZARD! Grey hits a BULL- NO, Jade tosses her! Then BOOTS her again!
Jade says Grey is stupid for trying, and then chicken wings the arms. JADED!! Cover, Jade wins!

And now it’s 34-0! Stokely Hathaway gets the mic to say, “So-” But then Jade snatches the mic to say she is tired of all the fans and the women in the back bitchin’ and moanin’! “Now next time, Stokely, get me some real competition.” She shoves the mic back at him, and he says, “Wooooow~! She’s fired up, and I know why. Last night at 11:49 PM, this queen gave an opportunity to every single woman in this locker room. And y’know what happened? You wanna know what happened? Someone who doesn’t even work here, homegirl hasn’t even filled out a W2, even she had the wherewithal to seize the moment.
“Kris Statlander, Athena, you’re not overlooked. You’re just lazy!” But wait! Here comes the Fallen Goddess and Greatest Alien! They rush the ring, Kris CLOBBERS Kiera Hogan while Athena dodges the boot! Athena SHOTGUNS Jade down! Kris storms up to get Jade up and fans fire up as Athena climbs! But Leila Grey SHOVES Athena down!! Leila stomps Kris and Kiera SUPERKICKS Athena! Jade moves Leila aside to stomp Kris! Stokely gets in the ring with them, did Grey just become the newest Baddie on the block? Jade tells her thanks but hell no, and leads her team away. Will Grey use this as motivation to come at #ThatBitch again?
The Young Bucks speak.
Matt Jackson says, “And then there were only two.” Nick Jackson says, “You would think we would be happy, right?” Matt wonders where everyone went. Nick says they reached the Promise Land, AKA win the AEW World Tag Team Championships, not once but twice, Matt adding that they’re the first to ever do it. And yet, they’re still unhappy. All their friends are gone. Bobby Fish isn’t cleared, Kyle O’Reilly isn’t cleared, and now even Adam Cole isn’t cleared. Hell, the cameraman isn’t even Brandon Cutler! This is some intern. Good job, by the way, Fred, just keep it steady.
But the Bucks look around the locker room, and they can’t even find anyone who can relate to them. They literally have no friends left. Except… The titles! They’re the champions for good reason. The first TWO-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions, and Matt hears that the Forbidden Door might be creaked open just a little bit. He heard Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto want a shot at the best tag team in the world. “Well, boys, you can get a shot at us this Friday on Rampage. However, you’re not gonna just get a shot at the titles. No no no. You’re gonna have to beat us one time first to prove who the heck you are.”
The Bucks now who #BISHAMON is in Japan, but we need to show the American/AEW audience that they’re the superstars they claim to be. And if Goto-Hashi loses, they can go to HELL. Nice play on words. But Matt never thought he’d miss Brandon. Cut it, Fred, ya idiot! Will the Young Bucks throw a Superkick Party and kick the former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions back to Japan?
But wait! There’s so much more to Rampage this week!
On top of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator, we will see Nyla Rose VS Toni Storm 1v1 for the first time anywhere. And speaking of first times, it will be the first ever ROYAL RAMPAGE MATCH! Frankie Kazarian, John Silver, Orange Cassidy, Rush, Hangman Page, Konosuke Takeshita, Penta Oscuro, Will Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Keith Lee, Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, The Butcher and The Blade, Dustin Rhodes, Max Caster, Tony Nese, Matt Hardy, Dante Martin and Brody King will compete for the first shot at Jon Moxley and his Interim AEW World Championship! Who wins that 5% chance of becoming a contender?

This has been building for months, and now it will all be settled in one bloody spectacle! And after winning the man-up advantage at Forbidden Door, will Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia, Matthew Menard & Angelo Parker win again and make the entire “AEW Galaxy” APPRECIATE them? Or will the Mad King, the Proud ‘n’ Powerful, the Decoder, the Maniac, and the newest member in the Swiss Cyborg, Claudio Castagnoli, show to everyone why they’re proud to be professional wrestlers, not sports entertainers?
The JAS also make their entrance first. They’re wearing matching red outfits of mesh shirts, suspender strapped tights and red fedoras. Will red be the perfect color to hide all the blood they’re about to lose? We’ll see, after the break.
Dynamite returns as Eddie makes his entrance with Santana & Ortiz. They’ve got the war paint on, and are even bringing weapons to the ring, such as Santana’s barbed wire baseball bat. Then William Regal accompanies Wheeler Yuta and Claudio. Regal joins JR, Taz and Excalibur on commentary, and all that’s left is Jon Moxley’s entrance! The Interim AEW World Champion, head bandaged up from what Hiroshi Tanahashi did to his forehead, makes his way through the crowd as always, and he joins his team. Sammy is already in the ring for the JAS, daring someone to get in with him. The extended BCC sorts out, and CLAUDIO steps up!
Detroit is thunderous already as the doors are closed. Sammy and Claudio stare down from across the double ring, and then rush in! Sammy jumps up but Claudio back drops him! Claudio gets Sammy up, OVERHEAD suplexes him, but Sammy lands on his feet! Sammy rushes back in, Claudio picks him up and RAMS him into a corner! Claudio whips Sammy corner to corner hard, then runs in to EuroUpper! Then he goes back the other way for another EuroUpper! And then again for another EuroUpper! Fans fire up and Claudio drags Sammy up. Sammy shoves Claudio away and undoes the suspender straps.
Sammy puts Claudio in the corner to CHOP him! But Claudio doesn’t flinch. Sammy throws a forearm, Claudio EuroUppers Sammy off his feet! Claudio rips off Sammy’s mesh shirt to CHOP him! Claudio whips Sammy into the gap between rings and Sammy tumbles with the ropes so close together. Claudio stalks Sammy to the JAS ring and Sammy tries to climb! Claudio grabs at Sammy as he clings to the rafters! Claudio chases Sammy, drags him down, but Sammy throws elbows. Claudio drops to bring Sammy down, and Sammy gets crotched on the top rope! Claudio shrugs while Tay Conti complains.
Claudio drags Sammy up, whips him to a corner, but Sammy stops himself. Sammy elbows Claudio back, goes up to springboards away to the BCC side ring! Fans boo while Sammy bows and then flips Claudio off. Claudio storms into the gap but Sammy attacks him! They brawl, Sammy puts Claudio into the corner and fires hands, but fans cuss Sammy out! Claudio shoves and EuroUuppers Sammy! Claudio TOSSES Sammy back into the JAS ring, whips Sammy and pops him up, but Sammy hits a CUTTER! Tay cheers but fans boo as Sammy stands up. Sammy kisses Tay through the cage, and then goes back to the ring, only to turn around into a trip!
Fans fire up, Claudio takes Sammy for a SWING! The countdown is done, Daniel Garcia gets in for the man-up advantage! Garcia watches out for the swinging Sammy, and he CLOBBERS Claudio from behind! Garcia fires off on Claudio, he stomps away and fans boo, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Garcia storms back up on Claudio but into EuroUppers! Garcia and Sammy mug Claudio, then Garcia facelocks Claudio while Sammy climbs. The young pillars of the JAS argue about who needs to do what, but Claudio throws body shots and EuroUppers on Garcia! Sammy hurries in but he also gets body shots! Garcia and Sammy are in opposite corners, so Claudio starts up a EuroUpper train! Garcia, then Sammy, then back to Garcia, but Garcia dropkicks the legs out! Sammy then KNEES Claudio down! Garcia and Sammy hug it out and stomp away on Claudio. They double suplex Claudio up and over, then stomp him more.
Sammy CLUBS Claudio to ropes, Garcia helps Sammy double whip to ropes. They double elbow Claudio down, Garcia hits a NECK SNAPPER! Sammy and Garcia get Claudio in a corner and bring him out again, but Claudio blocks the double suplex this time! Claudio DOUBLE SUPLEXES Sammy and Garcia! All three men are down, Garcia crawls away to the BCC ring. Claudio stalks after him, but Sammy hurries to CLOBBER Claudio! Garcia BOOTS Claudio at the ropes, then CHOKES him! And he doesn’t have to stop this time! Garcia talks trash on the BCC while Sammy chokes Claudio now, using the suspender straps he took off earlier!
Garcia takes off his do-rag and CHOKES Claudio with it! They both grind Claudio down at the ropes, taunting BCC the whole time. Dynamite returns to single picture as Sammy puts Claudio in a corner. Sammy and Garcia mug Claudio, but the countdown is almost up! Claudio fights back, and as soon as the door opens, Yuta is inside! Yuta wants after Garcia for the attack on AEW Dark last night but he ROCKS Sammy first! FLYING LARIAT for Sammy! GERMAN SUPLEX for Garcia! Yuta holds on, another GERMAN SUPLEX! Garcia swings wild but can’t get free, another GERMAN SUPLEX!
Yuta isn’t done, he hits a fourth GERMAN SUPLEX! Sammy waistlocks Yuta but Yuta shoves Garcia away to switch with Sammy. A GERMAN SUPLEX for the Spanish God! And then another! Tay gets worried as Yuta sets Sammy up, Claudio runs in, EUROUPPER GERMAN SUPLEX COMBO! Sammy is finally let go and fans fire up with Yuta’s half a dozen German Suplexes! Yuta and Claudio high-five and Claudio drags Garcia from the ropes. Claudio has the do-rag, Yuta has the suspenders, and they use those to CHOKE Garcia and Sammy! Claudio TOSSES Garcia across the ring like that! Yuta lets Sammy go to stomp him down!
Claudio hauls Garcia up to TOSS him into the steel! Yuta TOSSES Sammy into steel! But the countdown is done, and the JAS sends in Rock Hard Jake Hager! Hager rushes in and Yuta leaps at him, but into a SPINEBUSTER! Claudio chases Garcia into the JAS ring, Garcia runs but into a trophy lift! Claudio TOSSES Garcia to the BCC ring while Hager TOSSES Yuta to the JAS ring! Yuta gets hung up a bit on the ropes in the gap, but now Hager and Claudio stare down! Fans fire up, knowing these two have history. Claudio joins Hager in the same ring, and the haymakers start flying! Fans chant “WE THE PEOPLE!” as Hager whips but Claudio dodges!
Claudio springboards, FLYING EUROUPPER! Fans fire up as Claudio stomps and uppercuts Hager in the corner. But Garcia helps Hager while Sammy intercepts Yuta. Hager and Garcia mug Claudio, Yuta scraps with Sammy, but then Hager ROCKS Yuta. Hager has Yuta against the steel then RAMS into him! Hager runs again but Yuta dodges to KICK Hager! Claudio fights off Garcia but Sammy hits him back. Claudio EuroUppers Sammy while Yuta missile dropkicks Hager! Claudio bumps Sammy off buckles, Yuta fires off on Hager. Hager clinches Yuta but Claudio goes after Hager with body shots. Hager picks Claudio up for a SPINEBUSTER!
Sammy and Garcia stomp Yuta while Hager hammers Claudio. But the countdown is ending and the JAS get ready. Fans want to see him, so MOXLEY gets in! And he brings a chair! Moxley CHUCKS the chair at Hager’s head, and it bounces right off to hit the steel! Moxley then fires off on Garcia, kicks Sammy, and he stacks the young pillars in a corner to CLOTHESLINE SANDWICH them! And again! And again! Moxley brings Sammy around for an X-PLEX! Garcia tries to get away but Moxley traps him in the ropes and bends him backwards! With some fishhooks and crossface forearms for good measure!
Fans sing, “F ’em up, Moxley, F ’em up!” Moxley joins Garcia in the gap to rain down hammer fists! Claudio picks up the chair Moxley brought in and sets it down. Claudio gives Hager a BULLDOG onto the chair! Regal is loving this now as Moxley grinds Garcia’s face off steel like a cheese grater! Claudio sits the chair up and Yuta helps him bring Sammy over. They double whip Sammy and Yuta drop toeholds Sammy to SMACK off the seat! Eddie gives Moxley a fork to JAB into Garcia’s forehead!! Yuta stomps away on Hager, Claudio tosses Sammy to the JAS ring, and Hager uses the chair on Hager’s ribs.
Claudio taunts Tay with putting Sammy on the ropes and she shouts, “I HATE YOU!” He doesn’t care, Cesaro STRADDLE CHOKES Sammy on the ropes! Yuta and Moxley join Claudio, and Garcia is bleeding from the forehead. Moxley picks Garcia up for Yuta to run, they hit a HART ATTACK on Red Death! Claudio high-fives his team for that one, and then fetches Sammy. Tay is shrieking as Claudio trophy lifts Sammy, to toss him to Moxley’s CUTTER! Then Claudio drags Sammy around while Yuta climbs up top, and Claudio sets Sammy up for Yuta’s DIVING HEADBUTT! A nice shoutout to Bryan Danielson there.
Yuta keeps on Sammy while Claudio and Moxley go back to Hager. Moxley tells Claudio to fetch Garcia, and Yuta’s already working on the HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS as fans chant for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Claudio and Moxley join in with their own HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Fans love the triple hammering, but the countdown is finishing again. JAS sends in “Cool Hand Ange” Parker, but he realizes he’s actually outnumbered right now. He stays on the outside of the ring but ends up cornered that way. Fans tell him “YOU F’D UP!” but he dodges Yuta to regroup with Garcia. That’s not enough, he grabs the chair, but then loses it as he has to scurry away!
Parker goes around a corner but Claudio catches him! Claudio gut wrench suplexes Parker into the ring! Yuta scoops Parker to MICHINOKU DRIVER, and then Moxley gives Parker a EuroUpper! Claudio EuroUppers Parker off his feet! Yuta EuroUppers, and Parker is punch drunk. Moxley EuroUppers Parker and he falls over again. The BCC shrug and Moxley gets a couple push-ups in just so he stays warm. Claudio goes back to fetch Hager and throw EuroUppers. Hager clinches and throws knees in return while Moxley throws the chair into the JAS ring. Yuta keeps on Garcia, but Parker JAMS Moxley with the chair!
Hager TOSSES Claudio into steel, Parker SMACKS Moxley on the back! Garcia, crimson mask at 100%, turns things around on Yuta while Parker RAMS into Moxley at the corner! Hager stands on Claudio, Parker helps Sammy up, and Hager has a chair of his own to SMACK Claudio’s leg! Yuta turns things back on Garcia while Hager smothers Claudio’s face with a chair. Garcia reverses Yuta’s whip to SHOTGUN Yuta into the corner! Moxley DECKS Parker, DECKS Sammy, and brings Sammy back to center. Hager SMACKS Claudio on the back with the chair! And then Hager digs the chair into Claudio’s neck!
The countdown is over, and Parker hurries to block the BCC door! Ortiz powers through and CLOBBERS Parker! Ortiz then CLOBBERS Sammy, CLOBBERS him again, CLOBBERS Hager, CLOBBERS Sammy again, then CLOBBERS Parker! Ortiz CLOBBERS Sammy a third time, then CLOBBERS Parker a third time! Ortiz whips but Sammy reverses, Ortiz comes back but Sammy dodges, so Ortiz CLOBBERS Parker a fourth time! Sammy dodges Ortiz again, but Ortiz comes right back to LARIAT! Fans fire up as Ortiz is a one man wrecking crew, and Dynamite goes picture in picture again.
Ortiz brings Sammy up to drag him up to a POWERBOMB! Yuta helps Moxley in the JAS ring but Parker then TOSSES Ortiz to that side! Hager hauls Claudio up but Claudio throws body shots. Ortiz hits Parker back, Claudio EuroUppers Hager in a corner! Yuta stands on Garcia’s neck, Moxley and Ortiz mug Parker, and Claudio RAMS Sammy into Hager! Ortiz RAMS Parker into steel! Yuta RAMS Garcia into steel! Moxley brings out a black bag! That is always a dangerous sign, and Moxley pours out broken glass! Hager suplexes Claudio while Moxley brings Parker over. PILEDRIVER onto the glass!!
Ortiz SMACKS Garcia with a chair! Ortiz SMACKS Parker with the chair! Parker is bleeding now, but of course he would from that glass to his forehead. Yuta holds Garcia down while Moxley goes after Hager and rakes the eyes! Claudio keeps Sammy down while Moxley ROCKS Hager with a haymaker. Moxley has Hager in a corner, climbs up and digs a piece of glass into Hager’s forehead! The Maniac is truly going nuts in Blood & Guts! Yuta kicks Parker around, Claudio climbs up to rain down fists on Hager from all sides! Claudio EuroUppers Hager, but Garcia kicks Claudio. Garcia and Hager CROTCH Claudio together!
Hager and Garcia shake the rope to really jam up Claudio’s junk but Moxley goes after them. Sammy goes after Moxley and now Moxley gets mugged. Sammy and Garcia double whip Moxley HARD into the steel! Hager ROCKS Claudio while he’s still on the ropes, and Dynamite returns to single picture again. The countdown is finishing as Parker crotches Yuta on ropes, and Sammy does the same to Ortiz. Now “Daddy Magic” gets in with a chair of his own. Menard SMACKS Yuta off the ropes! And he SMACKS Ortiz! And then SMACKS Claudio, and he CLOBBERS Moxley! Menard, Garcia, Sammy and Hager all stomp the Interim AEW World Champion!
Garcia SMACKS Claudio down with the chair, Parker and Menard go to the JAS ring to keep eyes on Yuta and Ortiz. Hager digs his knees into Moxley, Garcia joins Menard and Parker while they hit Ortiz with a DOUBLE DDT! Sammy brings Moxley up to snap suplex Moxley onto a chair! Moxley’s forehead is bleeding again, just like on Sunday. Hager POSTS Claudio, fans chant “We Want Tables!” while Menard CHOKES Moxley! Menard rains down fists, trying to make Moxley’s forehead even bloodier. Menard shoves Moxley through ropes to RAM him into steel! And dig him in, too! And ROCK him!
Claudio fires off EuroUppers on Hager in the gap! Yuta sees Garcia up top and SMACKS him with the chair! Claudio runs side to side but Hager manages to move and Claudio runs right into the wall! Menard throws back elbows on Moxley but Yuta’s CLAWING Sammy’s eyes! Menard spots Ortiz trying to crawl through the gap and intercepts him. Parker CLAWS Yuta’s eyes now! But the countdown is finishing again! And Eddie helps Santana get one of those tables! They put it in, and Ortiz helps bring it in. Santana gets the BAT! Santana dodges Menard, CLOBBERS Garcia, CHOPS Menard, then CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS again!
Santana CHOPS away on Menard in the corner, then brings Menard out to center for a ROLLING- NO, Menard ducks to waistlock. Garcia rushes in but Santana BOOTS him down! Santana then switches to SAIDO Menard down! Hager is digging his knee into Claudio at a corner, Garcia rushes back in at Santana, but Santana gives him an URENAGE! Eddie is watching Jericho from across the way, clearly waiting for The Wizard to finally join this fight. Wait, Santana is clutching his leg. Did he overdo the urenage and hurt himself? Santana falls back while Ortiz digs a chair into Garcia. Yuta, bleeding from his forehead, punches away on Parker’s crimson mask of a face!
Parker uses the cameraman to CLOBBER Yuta, then he RAMS Yuta into the steel! Sammy runs at Claudio but into a POP-UP UPPERCUT! Menard and Ortiz fight over the barbed wire bat, and Jericho looks worried since the time is finally approaching. Menard digs the bat into Ortiz’s face but Moxley has the FORK! Moxley JABS the fork into Menard’s head! And wait, Moxley has BAMBOO SHOOTS?! Moxley JAMS those into Menard’s head now!! Fans tell Moxley he’s a Sick F for that one, but Yuta helps Moxley stomp Menard down. Garcia puts Claudio into the ropes to pull him back, and Ortiz checks on Santana.
Menard is of course bleeding now, but he still throws punches on Moxley. Hager fires off on Ortiz, but Yuta has Parker so that he and Garcia can have some sort of sleeper hold stare down! Sammy gets back up to help Hager mug Ortiz, and Menard has the barbed wire bat! Menard digs that into Moxley’s face! Garcia and Yuta throw Parker and Claudio aside to start firing off SLAPPING palm strikes on each other! Fans fire up as they go faster and faster and faster! And then the countdown is back, and Jericho steps in! Jericho has Floyd to CLUB Claudio! Ortiz dodges and throws haymakers on Jericho! DDT!! Ortiz digs the chair into Jericho!
Parker CLOBBERS Moxley with a chair, Ortiz SMACKS Jericho with a chair, but Sammy climbs up and aims at Ortiz. Sammy leaps to FLYING CUTTER! Yuta gets Sammy with a GERMAN SUPLEX! Santana DECKS Parker, Menard rushes at Yuta but Yuta spins him around, OLYMPIC SLAM! Tay checks on Sammy while Hager hauls Yuta up for a SPINEBUSTER! Claudio spins Hager around to torture rack! RACK BOMB! Garcia roars and BLASTS Claudio with a EuroUpper! But Claudio fires up and comes back to POP-UP UPPERCUT Garcia!! Claudio stomps Garcia, but Jericho hits a CODE BREAKER!
Jericho grins as he’s the only one standing, but he hasn’t counted properly. The countdown is down, and here comes EDDIE!! Fans are thunderous as the Mad King, kendo stick in hand SMACKS Garcia then SMACKS Parker! The bell finally rings, because Blood & Guts can truly start! Which means it can finally end, too! Eddie stalks Jericho, SMACKS Menard, SMACKS Hager, SMACKS Menard more, then SMACKS Hager, too! That kendo stick is breaking, but it stays together so Eddie can go after Jericho! Jericho wants out but there’s no escape! SMACK and SMACK and SMACK from Eddie to Jericho!
Eddie tosses the broken stick, and he pulls out a bottle off… Is that rubbing alcohol? Gasoline? What is it?! Hager CLOBBERS Eddie before anyone can find out! Hager tosses Eddie into the ring, he and Garcia and Parker stomp away while Menard smothers Yuta and Sammy CLUBS Claudio. Ortiz punches Parker, he gets a chair and SMACKS Garcia, “This is Awesome!” as Ortiz fires off on everyone in the JAS! Moxley is after Garcia, Eddie gets his kendo stick back, but Tay manages to get whatever Eddie had and pass it to Jericho! But Ortiz brings the TABLE over! The BCC has the JAS on the floor, and that table makes its way to the gap.
The table is set up, Eddie SMACKS Hager into falling on the table, and Claudio EuroUppers Parker in a corner. Yuta and Moxley give Garcia their own version of DOOMSDAY! Ortiz helps Eddie get Hager up while Claudio BOOTS Menard against steel! Eddie and Ortiz give Hager a DOUBLE POWERBOMB through the table! The BCC regroup, they go after Garcia and Eddie brings Garcia around. Garcia resists but Eddie HEADBUTTS him! Garcia still resists his face touching steel, but Eddie FISHHOOKS his mouth. The BCC gather up more of those black bags, and they pour them out. It’s THUMBTACKS! And a TON of them!
The entire JAS ring has tacks, while Cesaro and Ortiz are tearing up the BCC ring’s mat! They are exposing the wood! They’re truly tearing the house down! Moxley gives Menard an X-PLEX onto the tacks!! Claudio whips Sammy but he reverses to RANA Claudio into the steel! Sammy BOOTS Claudio, BOOTS Eddie then SUPERKICKS him! Wait, how did Parker end up hanging from the girder on the outside of the ring?! It’s like something from a slasher horror movie! Garcia LASHES Yuta with his belt, then TOSSES him off the type while Dynamite goes picture in picture!
Kingston goes after Garcia and JABS at him with the fork! Eddie and Ortiz are after Garcia together while Moxley shoots around Menard to have a SLEEPER! They’re both falling into the tacks while Eddie and Ortiz DOUBLE SUPERPLEX Garcia! Moxley has the BULLY CHOKE on Menard while they’re in the tacks! Jericho finally makes a move, and he squirts the bottle of rubbing alcohol on Moxley’s face! It stings his bloody wound, and then Jericho hits JUDAS EFFECT! Moxley falls onto the tacks!! Jericho snarls and he looms over Moxley, gloating as if he’s won already. Jericho then gathers up a handful of tacks, and DIGS them into Moxley’s forehead!
Jericho paces around, again the only one standing. Jericho drags Moxley up again, TOSSES him into the steel, then fires off hands. But Moxley brings Jericho in to BITE his face! Moxley then kicks, underhooks, but Jericho fights. Jericho LOW BLOWS Moxley! And then hits a DDT onto the tacks! Jericho THRUSTS a chair at Eddie! Jericho soaks up the heat and gets Moxley’s legs. Dynamite returns to single picture as Jericho drags Moxley around in the tacks, before WALLS OF JERICHO!! Moxley endures as he’s being pushed into the tacks, but here comes Eddie! Fans are thunderous as Eddie gathers up tacks, to THROW into Jericho’s face!!
Jericho lets Moxley go as he scrambles away to the BCC ring. Eddie hurries after him, and he throws haymakers! “F HIM UP, EDDIE, F HIM UP!!” Eddie wants to do just that as he whips Jericho into the steel! Eddie hobbles around, gets the barbed wire bat, but Jericho blasts the FIRE EXTINGUISHER at Eddie! Eddie flounders away and Jericho tells Tay to do something. Tay CLOBBERS referee Aubrey Edwards?! All to get the key to the cage?! Tay unlocks the cage door and fans boo, but here comes RUBY SOHO! The Runaway won’t let Tay get away with this! Ruby drags Tay down and fires off fists! The refs try to stop these two but the ladies brawl to the back!
Jericho climbs up the cage! Didn’t he learn from the first Blood & Guts this doesn’t work out well? But Eddie laughs and he follows Jericho up! Jericho and Eddie stand up, and Eddie fires off hands! Eddie BITES Jericho’s ear, Mike Tyson style! URAKEN! Jericho falls down but he is still on the top. Sammy hurries to climb up and help Jericho as Eddie says Jericho’s going off the edge! Sammy CLOBBERS Eddie first! Sammy looks around, trying to figure out what to do next. Fans rally as the three crawl up top and everyone else is regrouping down below. Sammy stands, he digs Eddie’s face into the steel, and fans chant “A E DUB! A E DUB!”
Sammy drags Eddie up but Eddie LOW BLOWS Sammy! Eddie says Sammy F’d up, and down come the straps! Eddie TOSSES Sammy off the edge!! Sammy CRASHES down through the timekeeper’s area!! Fans lose their minds and Eddie grins. But this fight is still going as Dynamite goes picture and picture again!
Eddie looks through the ceiling to check on his team. They’re still in this, too, but medics are checking Sammy. Jericho stands up, Eddie pursues, but Jericho goes to the far side. Jericho warns Eddie, but Eddie doesn’t care, he keeps heading that way. They get forehead to forehead and the forearms start flying! Then they become haymakers, and it’s a hockey fight! Detroit is loving this! Eddie BITES Jericho again, then rips at his shirt. Eddie CHOPS Jericho, Jericho wobbles, and Dynamite goes to break!
Dynamite returns one more time, and Eddie rains down fists on on Jericho. Jericho trips Eddie to rain down fists on him, then get the legs! WALLS OF JERICHO!! Menard RAMS Ortiz into steel on the outside of the cage! The fight is spilling out of the steel, and CLAUDIO climbs! Will Claudio put away his grudge with Eddie to end this with Jericho? BOOT for Jericho, that is a yes! But here comes Menard! Daddy Magic is going to reinforce Jericho now, but Claudio has Jericho’s legs! SWISS SWING on top of the cage! Claudio goes around 10 times, then steps through, but Menard CLUBS Claudio. Menard rains down forearms, then drags Claudio up.
Menard reels Claudio in, Claudio fights the lift, and Eddie has Jericho in the STRETCH PLUM! Claudio trips up Menard, and has a SHARPSHOOTER!! DUAL SUBMISSIONS on top of the cage! Jericho and Menard endure, but MENARD TAPS!! The BCC WINS!!

Eddie is confused, he thought he was gonna make Jericho tap. But a win is a win because Claudio finished off Daddy Magic! Eddie is a bit upset by that, but can’t he be happy for the group? Ortiz, Yuta and Moxley are, and even Santana, despite his apparent injury. Will winning take care of the hard feelings? Is the BCC finally through with the JAS?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite, especially with it being Blood & Guts. A great opener with Cassidy and Ethan Page, with some Hellish cleverness from Lambert getting Best Friends ejected and putting advantage back to his side. But of course, that didn’t change anything and Cassidy came out the winner. It is also good to see Chuck Taylor is still here, there was concern he was leaving AEW after deleting tweets. But with Cassidy winning, he maintains momentum and could even win his way up to one of the midcard titles. There’s history between Cassidy and PAC, so an All-Atlantic Championship feud that also helps give us some Best Friends VS Death Triangle closure would be a great move.
It was fairly clear, though perhaps a bit mind-boggling, that Luchasaurus was going to turn Heel with Christian Cage’s influence. Luchasaurus looks pretty awesome in all black gear, mask included, and of course he demolished Serpentico. Jungle Boy is apparently actually injured, not just out with the kayfabe injury from the Con-Chair-To, but that will give Luchasaurus plenty of time to shine as a singles guy and as a Heel monster, and we’ll eventually get JB VS Luchasaurus on the way to JB going after Christian.
Wardlow and Scorpio had a good promo interaction to set-up their title match, and a Street Fight is of course setting up interference. I just can’t be sure which way this goes, because Scorpio could use interference to win again, or Wardlow becomes that powerful to win even with interference. When I saw that the Six Man Tag had mystery partners for Danhausen, I just knew it would be FTR. Fans love FTR, fans love Danhausen, this seemed like a natural combination. The Six Man Tag was a lot of fun, and of course #FTHausen wins to keep momentum after Forbidden Door. And while the split in Acclaimed Gunn Club was coming, it happening because of this loss was a small surprise. Billy is siding with the Acclaimed, of course, and I can’t wait to see how this sorts out.
Jade was of course winning her title match tonight, especially because it was Leila Grey, who hasn’t even won one match during her time on Dark and Elevation. But I was hoping that with Grey helping Jade and Kiera, Grey would get a spot as the new Baddie. Instead, Jade snubs Grey, and we’ll still wait to see who subs in. At the same time, I don’t get how that promo from Stokely was supposed to work this in kayfabe. If it’s an Open Challenge, I suppose Grey answered first and that’s it, but then he pokes holes by bringing up how Athena and/or Kris should’ve answered it to get their shot at Jade. Maybe they were just overthinking the logic of their own storytelling, but maybe this story still finds its way to giving one or both Athena and Kris Statlander their title shots.
The Young Bucks had a good promo to help the audience understand that sadly, yes, Adam Cole is hurt after Forbidden Door. But with Fish kayfabe out, and Kyle and Adam more or less legitimately out, this gives the Undisputed Elite a chance to return all together and do who knows what. But Bucks calling out Goto-Hashi, they’re going to have a really good match, but I would think Bucks win because the only ones taking those belts off them are the tag team belt collectors, FTR.
And what a big Rampage we’re having, with that match, Nyla VS Storm, and then the “Royal Rampage,” which I can’t see being like the Royal Rumble with sending one man out at a time. It could just be a huge battle royal, just on Rampage, but who knows. Out of those 20, I would think Hangman doesn’t get this, his story back to the world title needs to be a bit like his journey to the top the first time. He has to scratch and claw, no shortcuts, and I would love if Hangman gets the interim belt right before CM Punk returns so the Undisputed AEW World Championship can be between Hangman and Punk in a Double or Nothing rematch. As for who will/should get this, I’d love if it was Rush for someone completely fresh, or maybe Darby or even Dustin Rhodes for a fan favorite moment.
And of course, Blood & Guts was an epic main event because it was an entire hour. Great stuff from all 12 men, as well as Tay and Ruby Soho. Sadly, Santana got legit hurt from that rough urenage, it could be a torn ACL. It sucks because Santana surely had a lot to do in this match, and it sucks because he and Ortiz could’ve gotten in on some tag title story before the inevitable FTR VS Bucks for all the belts. But even with Santana going down, everything was a bloody as it should’ve been, and what a great way to finish things. Eddie throwing Sammy off was awesome, and explains why the timekeeper’s area got so big.
I almost thought that was a sign JAS was winning, but in the end, it’s BCC. If Bryan had been in this, I bet the finish would be exactly the same with Bryan getting Menard to tap/surrender, and Eddie being annoyed by that. It’s good that Eddie gets over his beef with Claudio, for now, and while Garcia VS Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship is already on the books, there could be a lot of different things the rest of these guys do, such as Claudio getting in on the All-Atlantic Championship and Eddie still settling things with Jericho 1v1 to put the feud to bed.

Claudio Castagnoli SHOVES a cameraman down, then SMASHES the camera! Then he CHOKE SLAMS the cameraman through a table! Wheeler Yuta beats up more equipment, the fans boo these sore losers, because clearly this is all in response to losing the AEW World Trios Championships just last night. Boston tells off Yuta but he just uses that as motivation. Jon Moxley is in the ring, waiting for all of this to calm down a bit.
Marina gives Moxley the mic, and Moxley tells the fans and everyone celebrating last night better enjoy it now. “Hobbs, Swerve, Shibata, enjoy it now! Because it’s the last chance you’re gonna have to celebrate for a long time!” The fans boo, but Moxley tells The Young Bucks he officially doesn’t like them, he doesn’t like looking at them, so they better stay in their own lane. They cross the line with Moxley, he swears to God that they are never seen or heard from again, and he means that! Fans are torn there, but Moxley says from the first day he started in this sport, there was one undisputed baddest man in pro-wrestling. That man is Samoa Joe.
The fans cheer for “JOE! JOE! JOE!” and Moxley says he has always shown Joe respect, treated him with reverence. The fans sing, “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” Yuta tells them to shut up! Moxley says he has given Joe that reverence, he has given Joe his space, and it could’ve stayed that way. But Joe started something that Moxley has to finish. Because Moxley doesn’t know any other way, he will not run, he will not hide, he will not roll over and die. he knows no other way to do this but to fight Joe to the death for the AEW World Championship! Tomorrow, now, for better or worse! Mox will be clear: He is challenging Joe!
The fans again chant for “JOE! JOE! JOE!” Moxley says that’s all he’s gotta say. Joe’s known Moxley long enough to know exactly what he’s dealing with. Moxley then storms off, leading the Death Riders away. Will Samoa Joe accept that challenge, and perhaps even go Double or Nothing?

The Jet is feeling real good having his share of $400,000, and he’s preparing for next month’s NJPW Best of the Super Juniors tournament. But will Knight still be too fly? Or will he be sent crashing down by the Murderhawk Monster?
The moment Archer hits the ring, he hits Knight! Archer fires off in a corner, the bell rings, and the ref counts. The fans boo but archer only stops to throw his jacket at Knight! Then he THROWS Knight out of the ring! The fans tell Callis off like they did last night, but Archer SMACKS Knight off the LED walls! Archer says night-night, Knight! He CLUBS Knight down on the stage, then drags him up to TOSS him down the ramp! Knight flounders to the apron but Archer steps inside to stop the ring count. Archer goes out to drag Knight up, choke grips, and CHOKE- NO, Knight flips free! Knight blocks a boot, ROCKS Archer, then goes up the corner, BIG triangle jump DROPKICK!
The fans fire up as night goes to the apron, springboards, QUEBRADA! They fall on the ramp and the fans fire up! Knight storms after Archer as they go into the ring, then Knight climbs up. Knight leaps to SEATED- NO, Archer catches Knight! Knight fights and RANAS Archer into a corner! Knight stomps and UPPERCUTS on repeat! Knight then stomps a mudhole, but stops as the ref counts 4. The fans fire up with Knight, but Archer LARIATS Knight inside-out! The fans boo but Archer drags Knight back up. Short arm LARIAT! Callis applauds while Archer rains down forearms on Knight’s head.
The ref reprimands about pulling hair but Archer tells him to shut up! Archer stomps Knight, paces around him, then drags him up. Archer CLUBS Knight on the back, then stalks him to a corner. Archer CHOPS Knight but the fans rally, “Let’s Go, Kevin!” Archer whips, Knight sunset flips, but Archer stays up! But Knight avoids the punch! Knight runs to SLIDING SHOULDER TACKLE! Archer tumbles out of the ring, Knight runs, and he WRECKS Archer with a dropkick! Archer pinballs off the desk, then Knight goes up the corner. But Callis grabs at Knight’s foot! The fans boo, Callis gets away with that, but Archer drags Knight down!
Archer ROCKS Knight, then SWINGS him into the steel steps! Archer is all fired up, Callis is happy, but the fans boo while Collision goes picture in picture.
Archer drags Knight up, brings him around, and whips him hard into railing! Knight sputters, the fans cheer him on, but Archer brings Knight up. Archer ROCKS Knight, sits him in a chair, and then runs up to BOOT him down! Knight slumps against the barriers while Archer refreshes the count. But this just lets Callis get his shots in! Callis hammers Knight, but stops before he gets caught. Callis talks smack on the fans, especially that one guy in the third row. Archer stands Knight up against barriers, calls out a small child in their father’s arms, and then CHOPS Knight! Archer drags Knight along the way, taunts more fans, but Knight fires body shots!
Knight CHOPS Archer, but Archer isn’t even bothered! Archer whips Knight back into the ring, then storms in after him. Archer looms over Knight, stands on Knight’s hand, then steps off as the ref reprimands. Archer taunts Knight, stands him up, and pulls hair to put him in the corner. Archer climbs up, taunts the fans, and he smothers Knight! Archer rains down fists, but he stops short of ten to rob the fans the satisfaction! Spring Breakthru returns to single picture and Archer runs corner to corner. ELBOW! Archer keeps moving, and he ELBOWS Knight again! Archer wants more, so he runs again, to ELBOW Knight again!
The fans are torn as Archer has his hattrick, and he looms over Knight again. Archer taunts Knight, slaps him around, but Knight fires a body shot! Archer nods, eggs Knight on, and Knight fires more hands! The fans fire up, but Archer DECKS Knight! Archer drags Knight around, has a cocky cover, ONE!! Knight is tougher than that as a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, and he flips Archer off! Archer grabs at him, Knight cradles, TWO!! Archer almost got caught, but he BOOTS Knight for that! And GERMAN SUPLEXES! Knight lands on his face and Archer grins. The fans rally for Knight but Archer puts him in a corner.
Archer hoists Knight up top, ROCKS him, then lifts Knight in the reverse crucifix! Knight flails, BLACKOUT- NO, Knight lands out! But Archer grabs him! CHOKE- DROPKICK! Knight turns things around, then fires hands! The fans rally as hard as they can for Knight as Knight fires shot after shot! Knight whips, Archer reverses, but knight slips to the outside! Archer hits buckles, Knight springboards in, but Archer gets clear. Knight comes back, but into a BOOT/STOMP! Archer drags Knight right up, then goes up the corner with him! The fans fire up already as Archer lifts Knight, but Knight fires elbows!
Knight fires body shots now, Archer pushes him back, but Knight returns, to the UPPER ROOM! Knight rolls and UFO SPLASHES! Cover, TWO! Archer is still in this, but Knight runs corner to corner, only for Archer to dodge! Arche comes back, DERAILER!! Archer hauls Knight up, BUCKLE BOMBS, and CHOKE SLAMS! Cover, TWO?!?! Knight survives and Callis is furious! Archer snarls but he drags Knight back to a corner. The fans rally as hard as they can for “KEVIN! KEVIN!” but Archer walks the tightrope! Tonight, the Death Riders learned that wasn’t the case. See, we are The Opps. We are not a movement, we are not an understanding between gentlemen, no. We are men who only need an opportunity and excuse to commit violence. We are men like Shibata. We are men like myself. And now, Death Riders, you learned we are men like Willy Hobbs.
“We are The Opps. We are your AEW Trios Champions. And we are coming for so much more.” The Death Riders were the hunters but are now the hunted, will their reign of terror end thanks to The Opps?

Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter & Kris Statlander.
Renee Paquette is with these two ahead of their Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match, set for next week on Dynamite. It is a semifinal match, and yet this is also the first time Kris and Jamie face off 1v1. The winner goes on to Double or Nothing to face Mercedes Mone in the tournament finals, but Kris stops Renee there. Enough about Mone. And enough about Toni Storm, honestly. There are plenty of other women in this locker room who work just as hard, if not harder, than those two. Jamie says she won’t disagree there. Jamie works hard, Kris works hard, and Jamie won’t stand here to give endless pats on the back.
But Jamie also knows Kris is good, being a former TBS Champion. And Kris knows Jamie is good, being a former AEW Women’s World Champion. They both know they can go, and this right here has been a long time coming. Whoever wins this, they better go all the way. See you Wednesday, mate. That match is for Dynamite, but will Kris get a leg up on Mone in the tag match later tonight?
Tony Schiavone reads a letter from FTR.
Given the suspension as announced last night, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler are not allowed in the building, so they sent this message instead.
“Dear Tony & Nigel, I (Dax) wish I could take back everything we did to you guys last week. It was completely unacceptable, unnecessary, and unwarranted. I honestly think the punishment for us wasn’t severe enough.” Schiavone explains it is a suspension for a week, without pay. Dax’s letter continues to say, “Tony, I would never have gone through with the piledriver with you. You said some things about my daughter that I won’t hold against you. But in the heat of the moment, I felt I was justified to scare you a little. I love you, Tony.” Schiavone rolls his eyes, the fans boo because they don’t believe Dax’s words.
Schiavone explains this next part is addressed to Nigel. “I never wanted things to get physical between the three of us, I know your body, and your mind for that matter, is very fragile.” Nigel rolls his eyes at the passive aggressiveness there. “I’m sure you were thinking the same thing with emotions as we were. Even though you probably knew there was no way you could ever beat us up, LOL. Again, my sincerest apologies to you both, and I hope we can just move forward in a professional and productive manner. With love, Dax Harwood.” The fans still boo the ingenuine sentiments, and Nigel sarcastically accepts the apology. Will FTR ever actually learn their lesson?

The Walking Weapon couldn’t defeat the Cowboy, so he goes and sucker punches him after the match, then seemingly joins forces with The Don Callis Family! Will Alexander get his first win alongside The Alpha? Or can Azucar & Stone Pitbull conglomerate their way to a victory?
The teams sort out and Ishii starts against Konosuke in a battle of Openweight Champions! The fans fire up as Ishii and Konosuke go toe to toe, then they start shoving! The forearms start flying, the fans fire up, and Ishii gets the edge! Ishii runs, but Konosuke BOOTS him! Konosuke whips, Ishii reverses, and then Ishii ducks the lariat to waistlock. Ishii ducks an elbow, but Konosuke ROCKS Ishii! Konosuke reels Ishii in, but Ishii suplexes first! Konosuke fights free, then runs up, and they RAM shoulders! The fans fire up and Ishii runs to RAM Konosuke again! Konosuke returns, runs through the chop and he CLOBBERS Ishii!
Ishii is up, he runs through a chop and then CLOBBERS Konosuke! Konosuke is back up, both men run in, and they RAM each other down! The fans fire up while Konosuke and Ishii back off. Tag to Rocky and Alexander and the fans rally again. The two circle, tie up, and Alexander waistlocks. Rocky switches, Alexander switches, and Alexander SLAMS Rocky down! Rocky brushes that off while the fans rally. The two circle, tie up, and Rocky wrenches. Alexander knees low, whips, but Rocky slides under! Rocky wheelbarrows and arm-drags! Alexander comes back, Rocky dodges and RANAS! The fans fire up while Rocky gives some Azucar Heat!
Rocky runs up, Alexander DUMPS him to the apron, but Rocky UPPERCUTS! Alexander distracts the ref so that Konosuke can YANK Rocky down! Konosuke DOUBLE CHOPS Rocky, then DRIVE-BY DROPKICKS! Rocky sputters while Collision goes picture in picture.
Alexander runs to BODY CHECK Rocky off the apron! The Don Callis Family soaks up the heat, then they fetch Rocky off the ground. Alexander puts Rocky on the apron, CLUBS him, then slides in. Alexander has the ref watch Ishii, and then he stomps Rocky around. Alexander scoops and SLAMS Rocky, then tags Konosuke. Konosuke goes up to SUPER SENTON! Cover, TWO! Rocky stays in this, but Konosuke stays on Rocky with a snapmare and KCIK! Konosuke tags Alexander and Alexander stalks Rocky. Alexander drags Rocky from the ropes to drop a knee! Cover, TWO! Alexander stalks Rocky to the ropes, then bumps him off buckles.
Alexander CHOPS Rocky, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns and Konosuke has Rocky up top! Rocky fights the back suplex with fists, then he BITES Konosuke! The ref reprimands, but Rocky cravats to hit a SUPER SLICED BREAD! The fans fire up while both men crawl, hot tags to Alexander and Ishii! The fans fire up as these two RAM, and RAM, and then Ishii ROCKS Alexander! Ishii whips, Alexander reverses, but Ishii comes back to CLOBBER Alexander! And SAIDO! Cover, TWO! Alexander survives but Ishii runs, only for Konosuke to get a cheap shot in! Ishii DECKS Konosuke for it! Alexander waistlocks, Ishii fights and switches, but Konosuke runs in!
Alexander ducks, Konosuke BOOTS Ishii! Konosuke runs, he and Ishii DOUBLE LARIAT! Konosuke rebounds to LARIT Ishii down! Rocky runs up, wrenches Konosuke, and kicks off Alexander to TORNADO DDT! Ishii LARIATS Konosuke back down, but Alexander kicks! Ishii blocks, feed to Rocky for a kick and UPPERCUT! Then Ishii hits a GERMAN SUPLEX! Lexy Nair welcomes in #FourBeltsMone, and Mone again says, “Bostooon~! Say hello to your C E O!” Lexy congratulates Mone on defeating Athena last night and advancing to the Women’s Owen Hart Cup finals at Double or Nothing. She will either face Kris or Jamie, and Kris is someone Mone has had a lot of history with. Mone stops Lexy there and says that history is where Mone won them all. Tonight, she is in the main event in another tag match alongside Harley Cameron. Mone already groans as Harley brings out “Mini Mone!” “Bostooooon~! Say hello to your C E O~!” Mone says she already did that.
Mini Mone knows Main Mone doesn’t wanna talk to Harley right now, but she has assured Mini Mone that things will be different this time. They better be! Now now, talk to Mini Mone. She’s not gonna do that! Harley, just stay out of the way and not be such a loser! Harley pouts but Mone says there’s no reason to be sad. Mini Mone says yeah, there’s no crying in wrestling! Damn right! Wait, wait, why is she talking like the puppet’s real!? Harley starts singing “Ride the Money Wrath Train~!” Mone says no no no! Mone storms off, but the train is on the tracks either way. Mini Mone says, “See you tonight!” Will The CEO and the wild Aussie stay on track as we head for Double or Nothing?

Lexy Nair is with the former Learning Tree Branches, The Redwood & The Bad Apple. She brings up how last week, Chris Jericho said he wasn’t angry, he was just disappointed, and then he left them to themselves. Where do they go from here? Bill says Jericho was disappointed in them, but Bill is disappointed in Jericho. Jericho is supposed to be the leader, and yet he walks out on them? Quite honestly, Bill is getting… angry. Keith wants Bill to chill. Not right now. What? What’s the difference? They talked about this in private, what’s the difference with it being now? Keith says it is like Bill just said: It was in private.
Keith knows Jericho said they were family, and that means something to Keith. And he just feels that if they’re family, they should handle this like family, and that is internally. And maybe, if Bill didn’t put Jericho on blast last week, Jericho wouldn’t have left. Bill understands, family is very important. That is why Keith wants to get back in the good graces of Jericho. Bill gets that. He just isn’t sure they should be living and dying at the whims of Jericho. Either way, the strategy moving forward is the same: They need to get in the ring, crack some skulls, and stack some wins. Lexy, to answer the question of what’s next, that is next.

Renee catches up to The Jet as he and “Speedball” Mike Bailey say hey. A big congratulations for Knight in winning against Archer. Renee is pretty sure that match came about because Callis didn’t like the rejection he got in trying to recruit Knight and Speedball. Knight says pretty much, but that’s understandable. He doesn’t think the Don- Ricochet steps in, backwards hat and military coat not really going together, but he tells Knight to shut it. Ricochet says these goofs are not the story of the week. The story is how they screwed Ricochet last week and stole that prize money!
Speedball says if by “screwed,” Ricochet means Speedball’s team beat him fair and square to win 400 stacks, then yeah, he got screwed. Ricochet says first, you pinned Mortos, not Ricochet. And seeing as how they’re the new guys here, here’s some “veteran advice.” Don’t upset the top talent in AEW. You don’t disrupt the chain of command. And since Knight and Speedball are so low, at the bottom of the pole, take his advance before something bad happens. Knight says Ricochet has it all twisted, they respect him. Knight and Speedball respect the game, the in-ring talent, the hot wife, all of that.
But anything that Ricochet can do, the Jet can, too. In fact, here’s something he can do that Ricochet can’t. And then he shakes them dreads! Ricochet says here’s what he can do: he can smack Knight in his mouth! Then do it then! Maybe he will, if Knight keeps talking! Knight fakes a slap and makes Ricochet flinch! Julia puts Mone in the drop zone, goes back up the corner, and HART SAULT gets KNEES! The fans fire up while Julia and Mone are both down! Julia and Mone stir, “This is Awesome!” as a standing count starts. Mone and Julia stir at about 4 of 10, crawl for their corners, hot tag to Kris! Kris fires off on Mone with forearms! Kris ROUNDHOUSES Mone, BLASTS Harley, and then runs up on Mone. Mone hooks her into the Gory Especial! Kris fights free, scoops Mone, but Mone kicks and flails! Kris’ legs give out, they both flop down, and the two fight on the mat. Kris powers up to her feet, but Harley tags in!
Harley brings Mone out of the gut wrench, but Kris hits the DISCUS LARIAT! Kris kicks, Mone blocks, and Mone KNEES Kris in return! Mone whips, Kris reverses, and Mone is sent into Julia’s TARANTULA!! But Harley rolls Kris up! TWO!! Mone is stuck as Kris scoops Harley and hits a BACKBREAKER! Then Kris cording holds Harley’s arm, kisses the bicep, and hits the Hayterade?! Cover, Kris & Julia win!
Winner: Kris Statlander & Julia Hart, by pinfall
That wasn’t just the game winner Kris hit on Harley, it was a message sent to Jamie! Luther helps Toni Storm to the ring so she can applaud Kris, and even blow a kiss! Will Kris go Double or Nothing with Mone to then go All In with Toni? Or will Kris feel a Hayterade from the source?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision to not just wrap Spring Breakthru but to keep things going immediately from last night. Very good promo from The Opps after their win, and some great stuff with The Death Riders for once. The Death Riders throwing a fit was good stuff, and Moxley had a good promo to call out Samoa Joe. Moxley wants his match with Samoa Joe, that’s a great detail in itself, and that is going to be a great match for Double or Nothing. Claudio stepping up to Adam Cole’s Open Challenge was also cool, and that was a great match. Cole surviving was a good touch, especially with how it just pissed Claudio off more.
Very good promo from Bill & Keith, and it feels very obvious that Keith will betray Bill to side with Jericho. We will get Bill VS Jericho, Keith will screw Bill, but then something will happen where Bill gets his rematch and wins over Jericho in the end. Really good “letter” from FTR to keep up their passive aggressive nature, and you can bet they’ll just do all the same things again next week when they’re back. Great to see LFI back in full force, but let’s just hope they actually get going this time around. There could even be some interesting intertwining of stories if LFI challenge for the trios titles at Double or Nothing, putting Joe in a double header situation since he’ll face Moxley for the world title.
Good promo from Top Flight with Cru to hype up next week’s Collision. But does every post-basketball Collision need a nickname? And as nicknames go, “Playoff Palooza” sounds more like a promotional deal run at a supermarket or car dealership. Really good stuff from the Don Callis Family tonight. Great match from Knight VS Archer and a great win for Knight. Knight and Speedball have a good promo with Ricochet, and a match of Knight VS Ricochet would be awesome, I hope we see it before Knight’s off for Best of the Super Juniors.
Great tag match of Alexander & Takeshita VS Ishii & Rocky, and I should’ve realized watching ROH Prelude to Spring Breakthru was teasing something for tonight. Rocky was salty over that loss there, and then he got even saltier during this match. Great to see Trent back, and now Roppongi Vice is Don Callis Family! They can be the tag team of the faction while Konosuke, Kyle Fletcher and now Josh Alexander all go for singles titles. Awesome ROH World Television Championship match from Komander and Nick Wayne, and again to my surprise, the Prelude foreshadowed stuff. Nick brought momentum into this match, he won this title, and unless he loses it back to Komander at like Supercard of Honor, he probably will bring the title to NJPW BOSJ.
Another great handicap match win for Megan Bayne, but she’ll still be spinning her wheels until after Double or Nothing with all this other stuff going on. Great promo from Mone, Harley & Mini Mone before their main event tag match, and same for Kris having a good promo with Jamie Hayter. That was of course a great match, and Kris winning using Jamie’s finisher was wild. I feel like with Toni Storm paying more attention to Kris, that’s a sign Kris is beating Jamie to face Mone at Double or Nothing. It’s still anyone’s guess who wins the Cup, because Toni VS Kris and Toni VS Mone are both great matches.

Boston fires up as their C E O is here, one match away from going Double or Nothing for the Owen Hart Cup. But will #FourBeltsMone get a win over the Forever ROH Women’s Champion? Or will Athena prove she is every bit the Fallon Goddess, the Minion Overlord, the American Joshi, and THE most dominant women’s champion in all of wrestling today?
The bell rings and the fans are strongly behind “C E O! C E O!” Mone. Mone and Athena stare down, slowly circle, and hear the fans are already losing their minds for this veritable dream match. Athena and Mone tie up, go around, and Mone arm-drags Athena. They tie up again, Athena arm-drags Mone now. They tie up a third time, end up on the ropes, then tumble out to the apron and ramp! The fans fire up, the ref reprimands, but Mone and Athena stand up to go up the ramp and to the stage! They finally break, and both women tell the other that the cup is theirs. The fans fire up as Athena and Mone reset to tie up on stage!
Mone waistlocks, Athena fights it, and they go all the way back down the ramp, to tumble into the ring this time! The fans fire up as the two fight up, and Athena reaches back to headlock. Mone powers up and out, they RAM shoulders, and the fans fire up more. Mone and Athena stare down, tie up, and then Athena arm-drags! Athena trips Mone to a cover, ONE! Mone trips Athena to a cover, ONE! Athena hits an Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Mone reels Athena in, hooks the arms and turns her for a backslide, TWO! Athena mule kicks, her fans getting louder for her, and Athena reels Mone in for a cradle! TWO, and the two roll and roll and roll!
The fans fire up as the two keep rolling, rolling, rolling, and then finally stops for Mone, TWO! Both women stand up, a bit dizzy, and the fans fire up again. Athena eggs Mone on, Mone storms up on her, and the two tie up again. They’re in another deadlock, but Athena powers Mone back. They’re on the ropes, the ref counts, and Athena slowly lets go. Athena whips, Mone tilt-oi-whirls and rolls Athena up, TWO! Athena kicks, Mone blocks, and Mone KNEES Athena! The fans duel and Mone runs, sunset flip BUCKLE BOMB! Shoutout to an old friend and Mone runs corner to corner. METEORA! Cover, ONE!!
Mone is shocked, but Athena is a champion of over 857 days for a reason. Mone drags Athena up, brings her in, turns her again, Gory especial! But Athena flips through, reels Mone into a reverse sunset! TWO, and Athena wrenches Mone to SOBAT! And ENZIGIRI! Mone goes to a corner while the fans fire up. Athena runs, handspring and LARIAT! The fans fire up as Athena cradles again, TWO! Mone stays in this, Athena is annoyed, but the fans fire up more. Athena ROCKS Mone, reels her in, and UPPERCUTS! The fans decide to cheer on the Celtics since they can all agree on that, and Athena whips Mone to ropes.
Mone ducks ‘n’ dodges, tilt-o-whirls, and LA MYSTICA into the STATEMENT MAKER CROSSFACE! Athena endures, reaches out, and fights around. Mone flips over to block the ropebreak, but Athena uses that to roll Mone for a cover! ROPEBREAK, but then they both tumble to the apron then the floor! Mone still has the crossface on! The ref reprimands, but Mone just wants Athena to pass out at this point! The ring count starts, Mone lets go of Athena, then drags her up. Mone whips, but Athena reverses and she puts Mone int he ring! But Mone METEORAS at the apron! Athena’s stuck in the ropes, dangling over the floor!
The fans fire up as Mone goes back to the apron, stands over Athena, and does her dance! Athena tries to sit up, but Mone waves bye-bye. WOE STOMPS miss as Athena reclines back! Mone hobbles as a leg jams, and Athena grabs her! STUNNER to the floor! The fans fire up again while both women are down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture!
The ref seems to let off on the ring count with both women stirring slowly. Aubrey Edwards checks, Athena and Mone are okay to continue, so Aubrey ushers them into the ring. Athena rises up, brings Mone around to SMACK her off the apron, and then stalks after her as she goes to railing. Athena CHOPS Mone, the fans fire up, and Mone is sputtering as she staggers away. Athena storms up but Mone pushes her to railing, then CHOPS her in return! Mone puts Athena in the ring, storms up and HIP DROPS! Mone then clamps on for a chinlock and stretches Athena back. Athena endures, fights up, and Mone is a backpack!
Athena hits a BACKPACK STUNNER! Cover, TWO! Mone stays in this, then crawls to a corner, but Athena seethes as she storms over to her. Athena fires forearms, whips corner to corner, then runs up, only for Mone to slip out to the apron! Athena hits buckles, Mone pulls her into the ropes, then climbs up for the STOCK DROP! Cover, TWO! Athena survives and Mone is growing frustrated. It doesn’t help that fans are now torn down the middle. Mone drags Athena up, whips, but Athena reverses to TOSS Mone out! Athena builds speed and DIVES! Direct hit and they hit the desk! Both women are down again and the ref has to check them again.
Mone and Athena are still in this, and Athena slowly crawls her way over to Mone. Mone tries to get away while Spring Breakthru returns to single picture. The fans duel, “Fallen Goddess!” “C E O!” as Athena and Mone hear the ring count. They both spring in at 9.5! Mone and Athena go forehead to forehead, then go forearm for forearm! Athena ROCKS Mone, but then Mone ROCKS Athena! The forearms keep going, then Mone changes toa CHOP! Athena CHOPS, Mone CHOPS again! Athena fires a flurry of strikes, but Mone blocks the mule kick to spin and DECK Athena! But Athena kips up to SUPERKICK Mone!
The fans fire up as Athena gut wrenches Mone, tucks her in, but Mone kicks and flails! Mone turns this around on Athena, powers up to keep Athena up, but then Athena fights to turn this back around! The fans are thunderous as Mone turns it around again! CIPHER UTAKI! The fans give a standing ovation while both women are down! Mone crawls to cover, TWO!! Athena is still in this and Mone is beside herself. Mone looks to the cup, hears the fans dueling, and she drags Athena to the corner. Mone goes up, reels Athena in, and TORNADO DDTS! Then a tilt-o-whirl, DDT!! Cover, TWO!! Athena survives and Mone is in shock!
“This is Awesome!” as Mone thinks on what more she must do to end this. Mone drags Athena up, fans hope they “Fight Forever!” but this is just the start of the show! Mone SLAPS Athena, reels her in, and snap suplexes! That’s Una Amiga, and Mone brings Athena up again. Dos Amigas, and Mone brings Athena up again! Mone gives Athena THREE AMIGAS, but she’s not done! Mone gives some Latina Heat, but Athena wrenches out! Athena shoves, pops Mone up, POWERBOMB! High stack, deadlift, and POWERBOMB again! And POWERBOMB AGAIN! Athena flips Mone over, reels her back in, and Canadian Racks!
But Mone slips around to hit a BACKBREAKER! Both women are down again and the fans are thunderous! Mone drags Athena back up, ROCKS her, but Athena fires back! Athena UPPERCUTS, but Mone fires a flurry of forearms! The fans are torn as Mone just HAMMERS away! Mone soaks up the cheers and jeers, but Athena fireman’s carries! ROLLING DEATH VALLEY, then a cover, TWO! Mone scrambles away to a corner while Athena snarls. Athena storms up on Mone, but Mone ROCKS Athena first! Mone fires another forearm, and another, the fans continue to duel, and Mone whips. Athena reverses and UPPERCUTS to the back!
Athena goes side to side, Mone dodges and runs back in, METEORA! Athena tumbles out of the ring while Mone scowls. Mone goes out to the apron, brings Athena up, and reels her in for a waistlock. She’s aiming for the floor! Athena holds onto the ropes for dear life! Mone shifts to get back up, then CLUBS the arms! Athena grabs the middle rope to stop the suplex! Athena powers up to stand on the apron, only for Mone to now shift and SUNSET FLIP! Athena still holds onto the ropes! Mone reaches up like a spider to get her legs involved, but Athena just stomps away on Mone! The fans fire up as Athena roars!
Athena scowls, drags Mone up with a waistlock, but now Mone holds onto the ropes! Mone elbows free, then slips around to Gory Especial! Athena fights free, pushes Mone, and BOOTS her down! Mone sputters but Athena is in the ropes, to SNAP POWERSLAM Mone on the apron! Athena drags Mone in for a cover, TWO!! Mone survives and now Athena is growing frustrated. The fans are thunderous again as Athena clamps on with a CROSSFACE! Athena wants to make a statement of her own with this! Mone endures, reaches out, and Mone kicks off the ropes! They roll around, and now Mone has the CROSSFACE!!
Athena endures, fights up, rolls to a cover, TWO! Mone lets go in time, but then Athena reels her in! Athena hauls Mone up for a Canadian Rack! But Mone fights free again! Mone shoves Athena into a corner, BLINDSIDE LARIATS, then Mone brings Athena around. Athena dodges the haymaker to CHOP! Athena and Mone are both running on fumes but Athena hauls Mone up to the Canadian Rack, SIDEWINDER! But Mone flops out of the ring! The fans are torn while Athena is pulling at her hair in frustration! Athena sees Mone floundering on the floor, goes out and lines up a shot, then runs in, only to be THROWN into railing!
Athena writhes from that crash and Mone has a sinister grin. Mone drags Athena up, puts her on the barriers, but Athena drags Mone up to join her! The fans rally as both women sit up, then stand up! The SLAPS start going off! Athena ROCKS Mone, reels her in, and hits a GOURD- NO, Mone lands out! Athena leaps, Mone dodges, but Athena comes back to SHOTGUN Mone into the LED barriers! Athena puts Mone in, goes up a corner, O- NO!! Mone blocks the stunner to rolling body scissor clutch! Cover, MONE WINS!!

It was a true epic between these two, but Mone wins in her hometown! And now- TONI STORM IS HERE! The Timeless AEW Women’s World Champion is here among her people in the upper deck to applaud the first finalist in the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Tournament. Renee Paquette is with the Cowboy, and says she will try this question again from last week. Coming up in mere moments, he faces the Wild Card in the Owen Hart Cup. How has he prepared for this match? Hangman says it is the Wild Card, how can he- The Elite interrupts. The Young Bucks step in and say hey, been a minute. In fact, it was last year’s Blood & Guts when Hangman walked out on them and cost them the entire match. But hey, Matt knows Hangman’s about to apologize, but they’ve already forgiven him, it’s all good. Nick says my God in Heaven, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, does Hangman look good!
And Nick knows that Hangman is happy now, because the Bucks cost Swerve the world title like Hangman wanted. It’s like they’re best friends again. This is great. Now, one more thing. This whole issue Hangman has with Moxley and the Death Riders? Yeah, they can fix that. They’ll patch things up. Because between you and them, the Death Riders are crazy. But The Elite are sure they can get the Death Riders on their side. So here’s what Hangman is gonna do. Hangman is gonna win The Owen, he’ll bring the world title back to The Elite, let The Bucks handle the rest. You got this, Hanger! Go get ’em, champ!
Nick & Matt walk out, but Okada hangs back long enough to ask Hangman, “Why you always angry? Smile! Like this!” Okada has a big goofy grin, Hangman just heads out. Okada says, “B*tch!” Hangman storms back in and Okada apologizes. Just smile. Hangman leaves again, and Okada rolls his eyes. Will the Rainmaker learn not to push Hangman’s buttons if he knows what’s good for him?

Spring Breakthru returns as The Cowboy makes his entrance. The Elite is backing his play for the Cup and the AEW World Championship, but who is Hangman even facing? We’ve been waiting since the brackets were announced, and the answer is… JOSH ALEXANDER! The fans go nuts as the Walking Weapon is in Boston! Will Alexander make an impact on this year’s Owen Hart Cup?
The bell rings, the fans fire up already, and Hangman stares down Alexander. The two circle, the fans duel, and the two tie up. They break, reset, and tie up again. They break again, circle some more, and they tie up. Hangman goes for an arm, wrenches to a wristlock, but Alexander rolls, wrenches, and BACKDROPS Hangman to then have a wristlock. Hangman fights around, rolls and handsprings up to wrench and headlock. Alexander powers up and out, Hangman RAMS him, but Alexander stays up! The fans cheer, and Hangman fires a forearm! Alexander fires a forearm, Hangman fires back, repeat!
Hangman fires a flurry, puts Alexander in a corner, but Alexander ELBOWS him! Alexander runs through Hangman to then come back and BOOT him down! The fans fire up and Alexander paces around Hangman. Alexander stands Hangman up to CHOP! The fans “WOO~!” and Alexander CHOPS Hangman in the corner! Alexander wrenches, whips, but Hangman reverses to scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! Hangman kips up, the fans fire up, and Hangman runs corner to corner, LARIAT for Alexander! Hangman snapmares, runs, but Alexander avoids the sliding lariat! Alexander blocks a boot, spins Hangman, but Hangman ROLLING ELBOWS!
Hangman whips Alexander, Alexander reverses, then Alexander runs up. Hangman puts him on the apron and Alexander hobbles. Hangman runs to triangle jump LARIAT! Alexander falls to the apron then the floor while the fans fire up. Hangman storms up, takes aim, but Alexander avoids the plancha! FLAPJACK off the apron! Alexander huffs ‘n’ puffs while Hangman staggers away. Alexander runs up, but Hangman avoids a boot! Alexander gets stuck on the railing and Hangman BOOTS him in return! Hangman refreshes the ring count, then goes up along the ramp. Hangman aims from the stage…!?
Hangman FLYING LARIATS Alexander off the railing! The fans lose their minds while Hangman scowls and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Hangman refreshes the ring count again, then fetches Alexander. Hangman puts Alexander in the ring, covers, TWO! Hangman keeps his cool as he brings Alexander up. Hangman ROCKS Alexander, ROCKS him again, and has him in the corner. Hangman fires more forearms, but Alexander turns things around to fire forearms in return! Alexander CHOPS Hangman, then signals one more time. Alexander runs, but Hangman BOOTS him! Hangman goes up, but Alexander hurries to fireman’s carry! ROLLING SENTON! Alexander goes up the corner, FLYING KNEE! cover, TWO! Hangman stays in this but Alexander stays focused.
Alexander drags Hangman around by a leg, then pulls on that leg. Hangman fights the toehold, throws hands, but Alexander stomps away on the leg! Alexander then hits as GROUND DRAGON SCREW! Hangman crawls to ropes but Alexander is right on him. Alexander brings Hangman up for a BIG back suplex! Alexander paces around Hangman, brings him around, and drops a KNEE! Cover, TWO! The fans fire up as Hangman takes aim, but Callis whispers something to Alexander? Kyle scrambles out of the ring, and Alexander CLOBBERS Hangman from behind?! Why would he do that?! The straps come down, and Alexander drags Hangman up, POWERBOMB!! What did Callis say to convince Alexander to do this? Is Alexander the newest member of the Don Callis Family?! The fans tell Callis off, but this all lets Kyle drag Hangman up. Suplex and BRAINBUSTER!! Will this be how it goes in the eventual Owen Hart Cup semifinal match? Or will the Aussie Arrow be shot down by a Buckshot?
The Patriarchy speaks.
Specifically, Nick Wayne says, “The Patriarchy is a hierarchy. And who’s at the top? The father. So when the father disappears, either the whole structure collapses on itself, or someone needs to-” Kip Sabian notices someone off screen, and he taps Nick on the shoulder. Nick asks what’s going on, then looks over. It’s CHRISTIAN CAGE! Christian walks over and says, “Daddy’s home, Nick. It’s been quite a month for you, hasn’t it? And I’ve been watching from afar, and I couldn’t happen to notice one of those weeks, you said you knew the reason why I executed the contract at Revolution and didn’t stick to the plan. But you wanted to say it to my face. Well, say it.”
Nick says the reason Christian didn’t stick to the plan is because he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if Cope became AEW World Champion before Christian did. Oh, is that what Nick thinks? Well, that’s what Nick thinks, so it isn’t a fact, it’s just an assumption. And to assume makes an ass out of you and me. But what is fact is, the last time they saw each other face to face, Nick had a fire lit under him. Christian liked that. Make no mistake, Christian gave Nick this month to find himself. To find the confidence to keep that flame growing. Christian was impressed with what Nick did while Christian was away.
So impressed, in fact, that Christian got Nick something. It has been a lifelong dream for Nick to wrestle for NJPW, in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. So Christian took it upon himself to procure a spot for Nick in that tournament. Now, the best way to get ready for a tournament like BOSJ, Nick, is to keep your momentum going. That is what they will do. Christian will keep Nick very busy until it is time to head for Japan. That starts tomorrow night, Collision: Spring Breakthru, here in Boston. Nick will face one of the best super juniors in the world, Komander, for his ROH World Television Championship.
Christian knows Nick will go out there, win that match, and do it by himself. Nick’s gonna that title home to The Patriarchy, isn’t he? Because Christian knows his baby boy wouldn’t intentionally let his father down, now would he? Christian pats Nick on the cheek, to then basically SLAP him! Nick is fuming, Mother Shayna calms him down, but Christian has her and Kip follow him out. The Patriarchy’s Prodigy has that fire inside, but will that flame blaze a trail to the top of the wrestling world? Or is it going to burn him up inside?

Given their actions last week, both threatening Tony Schiavone & Nigel McGuinness, as well as going too far with Matthew Menard, Angelo Parker and Daniel Garcia, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler have been suspended for one week, and their paychecks for this week have also been docked as a fine. While the All Mighty & Standard of Excellence neither want nor need Maxwell Jacob Friedman, they do need to defend the titles. And while the Hurt Syndicate hurts people, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona are pretty sure they break people. Will the Gates of Agony once again be golden? Or will the Gates be ripped right off the hinges?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who really brings the pain!
The teams sort out and Liona just CLOBBERS Lashley & Shelton! Liona fires off on Shelton, the fans boo, but Liona CHOPS! Liona whips, Shelton turns the backdrop into a DDT, but Liona is right up! Liona HEADBUTTS Shelton in the chest! MVP is on commentary now as Liona calls to Kaun. The Gates coordinate, and Liona runs to HIP ATTACK Shelton in the corner! Kaun runs in and METEORAS! Then Kaun PLANCHAS onto Lashley! Liona covers Shelton, TWO! The fans rally, Liona tags Kaun, and now they get Shelton up. They mug Shelton in an open corner, the ref counts and reprimands, and the fans are torn.
Kaun CHOKES Shelton, lets off as the ref counts, and Kaun mockingly applauds. Kaun CLUBS Shelton, ROCKS him, then ROCKS him again. Kaun whips, Shelton reverses, but Kaun blocks a kick! The DRAGON WHIP still finds him! The fans fire up as Shelton drags Kaun up and brings him over. Tag to Lashley and he runs to RAM Kaun in the corner! The fans fire up as Lashley RAMS Kaun again and again! Lashley turns Kaun, Kaun slips free and CHOPS! Kaun runs, but Lashley blows past him, then clinches for a FLATLINER! The Gates of Agony may dominate ROH, but The Hurt Syndicate still runs AEW! And wait, here comes MJF. Lashley is annoyed by this scumbag’s persistence, but the fans cheer as MJF makes his way to the ring. MJF has the mic to tell them to cut his music, and the fans cheer him on. MJF says, “Ladies and gentlemen, enough about how great I am. Although, I am enjoying it, don’t get me wrong. But give it up for the Hurt Syndicate, baby!” The fans cheer, and MVP says see? MJF’s not all bad. The fans sing, “We Hurt~ People!” but MJF says no, Boston is way too white, and they’re not even on the same beat, so just stop.
But here’s the deal: As they know, MJF brings a lot to the table. Montel knows this, Shelton knows this–and he looks great by the way–and well, not to name names, but some of us are slow learners. Lashley gets mad because we know who he means, and MVP asks MJF why he has to do that. MVP gets Lashley to calm down, and MJF apologizes. Did he say a name, though? Boston says no, he didn’t. MJF thanks them for having his back. Now, when MJF talks about the talent he brings to the table, he’s not talking about his own. No, no, because MJF has some talent in the back that is just dying- MVP says MJF just needs to put the cards on the table, he already pissed Lashley off as it is.
MVP says he loves Max and, but get to the point. MJF says he loves Montel, too. But they’re gonna really like this. Bring ’em out! The Hurt Syndicate music plays as some of Boston’s finest ladies make their way out on stage. MJF seems to have piqued the Hurt Syndicate’s interest as these eight ladies make their way to the ring. MJF has the music cut, the ladies have towels to dry the guys down, and MJF says the Hurt Syndicate can have a night on the town with all these lovely ladies. All MJF requests are the three thumbs up for him to join up. The floor is theirs. MVP asks Shelton and Lashley to do this one more time.
MVP still gives his thumbs up. Shelton? Shelton, pay attention! Shelton stops staring at the ladies long enough to say this is all very nice. But uh, he might need a little more time. Boston boos, MJF tells them it’s cool, it’s fine, everybody shut up! But what does Shelton mean more time? They’ve been talking about this for weeks! Shelton says he’s gonna need some time. Shelton… Are you saying you want the watch on MJF’s wrist? Yes, exactly. MJF knew he liked Shelton! Okay, okay, hear him out. MJF will give him this watch. All Shelton needs to do is give the thumbs up. The fans cheer, and Shelton looks between watch and ladies, then holds out his hand.
Shelton smiles, and gives a thumbs u- Uhhh… Lashley is staring Shelton down… So Shelton gives a thumbs down!? Lashley intimidated Shelton into saying no! MJF says c’mon! They must be out their da- mocracy! MJF loves him some democracy! And he respects the power of the vote! Hell, MJF even respects the power of the people! Maybe not these people, but you get his point. Shelton, what MJF thinks is that he’s growing on Shelton. And tell you what. As a token of his appreciation, MJF will still give him the watch. In fact, if Shelton still wants the ladies, he can still have the ladies. The fans cheer that!
And just know that when MJF joins the Hurt Syndicate, there will be plenty more watches ‘n’ women where that came from. MJF steps out, and he says one more thing, “Bob.” MJF respects him, he is the All Mighty, he’s known for being strong. But y’know what MJF’s known for? Getting what he wants. MVP keeps Lashley calm, the fans chant “He’s Our Scumbag!” MJF asks Lashley if he knows why MJF gets what he wants. He’ll tell you why. It’s because he is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and he’s better than you, and you know it. MJF drops the mic then takes his leave. But if possessions and pleasures won’t tempt Lashley, what must MJF offer to change his mind?
AEW returns and…
Alicia Atout catches The Hurt Syndicate and MJF’s ladies heading out. She congratulates them on the impressive win, but brings up that MJF is very persistent. MVP stops her there, wanting to talk with the guys first. MJF asks MJF’s ladies to give them a second, but not to wander off too far now. Lashley again says he still doesn’t trust MJF. MVP knows, but he says Lashley is having a personal reaction to MJF. This is business. Look at it from the business standpoint. MVP knows MJF can be… Annoying? Yes, annoying, but think businesswise. They can still use MJF to get what they want. So all MVP is asking is for Lashley to ease up.
MVP will give Lashley his word: The moment MJF steps outta line… Well, they’ll save that for later. Right now, can we just have a good night? Shelton asks, “Please?” Lashley says sure thing. Ladies, shall we? Yass~! Lashley, Shelton, MVP and the ladies head out to enjoy the Boston nightlife, but will the All Mighty actually give in to the Devil of AEW?
2025 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Semifinal Round: Will Ospreay VS Konosuke Takeshita!
Stemming from the Don Callis Family dysfunction and fallout, these two are 1-1 from their instant classics last year. Aerial Assassin once again battles The Alpha, who takes the tiebreaker to go Double or Nothing?
Callis of course joins commentary for this one, but is annoyed that there’s another Callis cosplayer. The bell rings and the fans fire up behind Ospreay. The fans lose their minds already as Ospreay and Konosuke stare down. The two slowly circle, the fans fire up more, and the two tie up. Konosuke waistlocks, Ospreay switches, but Konosuke wrenches out. Ospreay rolls and gets free, and Konosuke applauds. The two reset, feel things out, knuckle lock, and then go shoulder to shoulder. Ospreay rolls back, spins, and wrangles Konosuke with a top wristlock. Konosuke fights up, trips Ospreay and has a toehold.
Ospreay uses his free leg to drag Konosuke down. Konosuke clasps hands to fight the armbar, but his shoulders are down so it’s a cover. TWO as Konosuke sits up, and he works to stack Ospreay. ONE as Ospreay pushes Konosuke back down. Konosuke rolls, traps Ospreay’s legs with his own, then waistlocks. Konosuke shifts to get a half nelson, and he turns Ospreay over to a lateral press, ONE! The two stand off and the fans tell off Callis. Callis looks over his shoulder at the fans flipping him off while Konosuke and Ospreay go to corners. Callis says he does not appreciate this treatment, he is simply helping “elevate” commentary.
Ospreay and Konosuke tie up, Konosuke powers Ospreay to a corner, but the ref counts. Konosuke lets off, but then winds up! Ospreay avoids the elbow and wags his finger. The fans cheer and Konosuke nods. Ospreay and Konosuke reset, tie up, and Konosuke pulls hair to put Ospreay on the ropes! The ref counts, Konosuke lets go at 4, but then he tries to sneak a headlock, only for Ospreay to turn things around. Ospreay lets off, to CHOP! The fans fire up while Konosuke goes to the corner. The ref has Ospreay hold on, and the fans fire up as Ospreay backs off. Boston sings for “Ospreay~! Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~!” as Konosuke storms up.
Ospreay and Konosuke tie up again, and Konosuke headlocks, Ospreay powers up but Konosuke holds on tight. Ospreay fights up, fires body shots, then powers out, only for Konosuke to run him over! But Ospreay kips up! Only for Konosuke to throw him down by his hair! The fans boo but Konosuke smirks and runs. Ospreay stays low, hurdles over, but Konosuke leaps! Things keep moving, Ospreay arm-drags to have the armlock! The fans fire up for Ospreay while Konosuke fights up. Konosuke pulls hair again, the ref counts, so Konosuke whips Ospreay to ropes. Ospreay KICKS the backdrop away, then runs, but into a POP-UP- RANA!!
The fans fire up again and Ospreay feeds off that energy! Ospreay runs up and CHOPS in the corner! Then he snapmares Konosuke along the ropes, goes to the apron, and slingshot SENTONS! The fans fire up and Ospreay paces. Ospreay drags Konosuke up while the fans chant “BRUV! BRUV! BRUV!” Ospreay stands Konosuke up, but Konosuke fires a forearm. Ospreay SOBATS, whips, but Konosuke reverses. Ospreay handsprings, Konosuke lets him go up and over! Konosuke runs now, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then TAKESHITA LINES! Callis fires up, as does Boston, and Ospreay goes to a corner. Konosuke runs in, but Ospreay BOOTS first!
Ospreay goes to the apron, ROCKS Konosuke, then goes up, only for Konosuke to catch him! Fireman’s carry and FACEBUSTER! Basement BOOT! Ospreay tumbles out of the ring, and Konosuke builds speed! Konosuke FLIES, and down goes Ospreay! The fans fire up again while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Konosuke checks his legs then crawls over to Ospreay. Konosuke drags Ospreay up, whips him hard into railing, then soaks up the cheers and jeers from Boston. The Callis cosplayer cheers Konosuke on while he puts Ospreay in the ring. Cover, TWO! Ospreay’s still in this but Konosuke clamps onto Ospreay with a chinlock. Ospreay endures, fights up, but Konosuke clinches for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Konosuke then clamps right back on with the chinlock! Ospreay endures again while Konosuke leans on the hold. Ospreay fights up, Spring Breakthru returns to single picture, and the fans rally for Ospreay again.
Ospreay fires body shots, but Konosuke shoves him to ROCK him in the back! Ospreay drops to his knees, but Konosuke brings him back up. Konosuke reels Ospreay in, but Ospreay fights the lift with elbows. Konosuke shoves Ospreay again to again ROCK him in the back! Ospreay grits his teeth as he drops to his knees, but Konosuke winds up the arm. Konosuke whips, but Ospreay handsprings to NEURALIZER KICK! The fans fire up while both men are down again! Ospreay goes to the corner, Konosuke goes to the other. Ospreay runs up, but Konosuke puts him on the apron! Ospreay ROCKS Konosuke, goes up, but Konosuke catches him again!
Ospreay fights back this time to ROCK Konosuke, then PIP PIP CHEERIO! Cover, TWO! Konosuke is still in this, but Ospreay fires up again! Boston is with Ospreay as he drags Konosuke up. Ospreay has a wristlock, and he CHOPS Konosuke! The fans “WOO~!” and Ospreay stands Konosuke back up. Ospreay CHOPS again! Ospreay whips, Konosuke reverses, but Ospreay blocks a shot to CHOP! Ospreay runs, but into a BOOT! Konosuke runs to LARIAT Ospreay down! The fans fire up again, they are loving “Both These Guys!” Konosuke drags Ospreay up, clinches, but Ospreay fights the lift with more elbows!
Ospreay fires a forearm, but Konosuke ROCKS Ospreay in return. Konosuke runs, into a TIGER WALL KICK! ENZIGIRI! Konosuke wobbles, but he still clinches Ospreay for an EXPLODER! But Ospreay’s right back up! Only to take another EXPLODER! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay stays in this but Konosuke stays calm. The fans rally up, and they hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” But there’s still a main event to go! Konosuke puts Ospreay in the drop zone, then climbs up the corner. But Ospreay rises to CHOP! Ospreay ROCKS Konosuke, climbs up, but Konosuke trips Ospreay up! Ospreay HOTSHOTS off the top rope, then Konosuke reels him back in!
Konosuke vows to end it here! Konosuke drags Ospreay up to SUPER- STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE!! Ospreay turns things around on Konosuke and they both go to the ramp! Springboard, OSCUTTER to the ramp!! Both men writhe while the fans lose their minds again! Callis is worried for Konosuke while Ospreay rolls back inside. The ring count is climbing, Konosuke is still down at 7 of 10! He rises at 8, crawls for the ring, and manages to roll in at 9.5! But Ospreay goes COAST2COAST! Then he goes up top, for a LEAP OF FAITH!! Cover, TWO!! Konosuke survives but Ospreay just reloads! The fans fire up as Ospreay waits on Konosuke.
Ospreay springboards, OSC- BLUE THUND- RANA!! A counter for a counter! Ospreay runs, Konosuke staggers to his feet, and into the OSCUTTER!! Cover, TWO!!! Konosuke survives and Boston is stunned! The fans again hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” while both men stir. Ospreay brings Konosuke up, underhooks, but Konosuke fights free of Storm Breaker! Konosuke ducks a roundhouse, double pump handles to FLIP Ospreay, but Ospreay arm-drags! Cover, TWO! Konosuke has the victory roll, TWO! Ospreay O’Conner Rolls but Konosuke rolls through to wheelbarrow GERMAN SUPLEX! And then O’Conner Bridge! TWO!!!!
The fans cannot believe it and Callis is furious, but Ospreay escapes with nanoseconds to spare! Ospreay stirs and Konosuke crawls over to him. Konosuke and Ospreay go forehead to forehead, then stand to go forearm for forearm! The fans rally and duel, they sing for “OSPREAY~, OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAY!” Konosuke ROCKS Ospreay, but he wobbles as he stays on his feet! Ospreay comes back to fire another forearm, but Konosuke ROCKS him again! Ospreay staggers around this time, but he grits his teeth as he fires back up! Ospreay fires a flurry of forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW staggers Ospreay again!
Konosuke fires shots in the corner, the ref counts, and the ref has to back Konosuke down! Konosuke has the ref step aside so he can tell Ospreay to get up. Ospreay fires up to BOOT Konosuke! And BOOT! And BOOT, but Konosuke blocks! ALPHA ELBOW!! Ospreay falls in a heap and Boston is thunderous! The ref checks on Ospreay, and somehow, he isn’t out of this yet. Callis tells Konosuke to kurose, aka kill him! Konosuke drags Ospreay up, calls his shot, and RAGING- NO, Ospreay fights the suplex, wrenches free and then ducks a shot to full nelson! Konosuke elbows free but Ospreay HOOK KICKS him!
Ospreay winds up to SUPERKICK! Konosuke winds up, Ospreay SWATS the elbow to then HOOK KICK again! Konosuke drops to his knees, Ospreay prepares the arm! HIDDEN- NO, Konosuke flops right over! The fans boo but the ref checks Konosuke. Ospreay has the ref step aside like Konosuke did, but then Konosuke springs up to ALPHA ELBOW!! Konosuke was playing possum, and now he hits a BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!?!? Ospreay survives and shocks Konosuke! The fans rally as hard as they can while Konosuke rises up. Ospreay rises, Konosuke runs, but Ospreay dodges! They come back, Konosuke LARIATS, but Ospreay flips and lands on his feet!!

Boston is erupting, Schiavone shouts, “What’re we watching?!” Both men run up, DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Ospreay slumps down and Konosuke grins. Konosuke drags Ospreay up and reels him in, and then he underhooks the arms?! STORM- NO, Ospreay slips free, double pump handles, and he FLIPS Konosuke into position, BASTARD DRIVER!! Ospreay turns a steal into a steal! And then he deadlifts for the WHEELBARROW GERMAN!! But Konosuke HIDDEN BLADES?!?!?

Ospreay falls, Konosuke climbs, but Ospreay rises up again! Ospreay ROCKS Konosuke, ROCKS him again, then climbs up, only to slip! Ospreay slaps himself to focus again, and the fans fire back up. Ospreay climbs, but Konosuke fires forearms!
Konosuke throws shots, but Ospreay RISING HEADBUTTS! Boston cheers as hard as they can, and Ospreay brings Konosuke to the very top! Konosuke fires shots, and then he winds up, SUPER TAKESHITA LINE!! But Ospreay lands on his feet!! Konosuke is stunned, and then HIDDEN BLADE!!! Cover, TWO!?!?!?!? HOW?!?! Ospreay goes back to the corner, throws off the elbow pad, but a POWER DRIVE KNEE finds him! AEW World Trios Championships: The Death Riders VS The Opps & ???
As mentioned at the start of the night, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta made sure The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil was in no shape to compete tonight. But even so, the Samoan Submission Specialist and The Wrestler will not let this opportunity at both gold and vengeance pass them by. The question is, will there be a new third man? Or will The Opps be caught lacking?
The Death Riders make their entrance in from the crowd as usual, which is pretty daring given how packed the venue is tonight. As for The Opps, we see Joe & Shibata step on stage, but they’re not alone! POWERHOUSE HOBBS IS HERE!! Will the Book of Hobbs have a chapter about ending the reign of terror? The introductions are made, but then the brawl is on! The fans fire up and the bell rings, Hobbs has Yuta, Shibata has Claudio, and Joe has Moxley! The fans fire up as Moxley spills out of the ring with Joe while Claudio drags Shibata outside. Yuta ducks ‘n’ dodges Hobbs, but then Hobbs CLOBBERS Yuta!
Claudio and Shibata trade heavy forearms, Joe SMACKS Moxley off the apron, and Hobbs whips Yuta to a corner. Yuta staggers, Hobbs CLOBBERS him again! Yuta flounders into the corner, the fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs whips Yuta corner to corner, runs in and SPLASHES! Hobbs shouts, “MEAT!” and the fans chant “MEAT!” with every big lariat! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs then grins as he winds up to “MEAT!” Moxley storms in and he CLUBS Hobbs! That just pisses Hobbs off! The fans tell Moxley he messed up! Moxley bails out, but then Yuta CLUBS Hobbs! Same result as with Moxley!
Hobbs scoops Yuta, carries him around, then hits a RUNNING POWERSLAM! Hobbs tags Joe and the fans cheer. Hobbs stands Yuta up for Joe to JAB! JAB! JAB! Joe fires hands high and low, backs Yuta into a corner, then fires up! RIDGE HAND CHOP! Joe whips corner to corner, runs up, and back ELBOWS, to then PELE! Yuta flops down, Joe stares Moxley down, and fans sing, “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” Joe drags Yuta up, CHOPS him in the corner, then tags Shibata. The fans fire up again as Shibata UPPERCUTS Yuta! And again! And then CHOPS! CHOPS! CHOPS! Shibata snapmares Yuta, runs, and he BOOTS Moxley!
Shibata then clamps onto Yuta and grinds him down. Yuta endures, pries at the hold, and fans taunt Yuta. Yuta fights up, powers up and out, but Shibata BOOTS Moxley again! Yuta CLUBS Shibata, then TOSSES Shibata out. Yuta distracts the ref so Claudio can run and THROW Shibata into railing! The fans boo but Hobbs backs Claudio off. The ref has Hobbs stay back, and Yuta goes out to fetch Shibata. Yuta drags Shibata into the ring, tags Moxley, and the fans boo as Moxley flips off Joe. Joe storms in, the ref stops him, and Moxley KICKS Shibata down! Tag to Claudio, the Death Riders mug Shibata. Claudio drags Shibata up but Shibata CHOPS!
Shibata CHOPS, Claudio eggs him on, repeat! Claudio blocks a chop to short arm LARIAT! Claudio soaks up the heat, then he stomps Shibata. The fans rally, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Claudio drags Shibata up, pushes him to a corner, and UPPERCUTS! Claudio stomps Shibata, tags Moxley, and Moxley runs corner to corner to LARIAT! And then LARIAT! And LARIAT! Tag back to Claudio, the mugging continues, then Claudio tags Yuta. Yuta taunts Hobbs & Joe, Claudio stands Shibata up, and Yuta stomps Shibata down. The ref reprimands but Yuta hooks a leg, FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect, but Y uta clamps onto the leg for a toehold. Shibata endures, even as Yuta twists the ankle. Yuta drops an elbow on the knee, then tags Moxley. But then Joe & Hobbs storm in!
The ref stops Joe & Hobbs, Moxley taunts them, and then Moxley drags Shibata around. Moxley stomps Shibata, turns him over, and CLAWS Shibata’s back! The ref reprimands and counts as Moxley CLAWS Shibata more! Moxley fishhooks, the ref counts again, and Moxley pushes Shibata down at 4. Moxley drags Shibata up, has a facelock, and he drags Shibata over to the corner. Tag to Claudio, the mugging continues, and Claudio brings Shibata around for a BIG suplex! Cover, TWO! Shibata stays in this but Claudio stays on him with a top wristlock. Shibata endures, fights around, but Claudio knees him low!
Claudio pushes on the wristlock and grinds Shibata back down. Spring Breakthru returns to single picture while the fans rally behind Shibata. Shibata fights up, but Claudio TOSSES him out! Moxley storms up on Shibata, but Hobbs hurries over to stop that. The ref is busy with Claudio and Moxley, which lets Marina CHOP BLOCK Hobbs! The fans boo but Marina flips them all off. Yuta drags Shibata up and into the ring for Claudio, and Claudio eggs Shibata on. Claudio SLAPS Shibata, kicks him around, but Shibata CHOPS! Claudio ROCKS Shibata! Shibata CHOPS Claudio! Repeat! Claudio shoves Shibata, catches him to a SLEEPER, but Shibata slips around to get a SLEEPER!
The fans fire up as Claudio flails! Claudio JAWBREAKERS free, Shibata staggers into the Death Rider corner, but then Shibata BOOTS Claudio! Shibata crawls away from the corner, the fans rally up, but Claudio whips Shibata back in! BOOT for Moxley! Claudio and Shibata trade forearms again, and Shibata backs Claudio down! Shibata fires a flurry, then an UPPERCUT! Shibata DECKS Yuta, but Claudio UPPERCUTS Shibata! Claudio BOOTS Shibata, but Shibata stays on his feet! Shibata clinches Claudio, BACK HEEL TRIP! The fans fire up while both men are down! Shibata and Claudio crawl, hot tags to Yuta and Joe!
Joe DECKS Yuta again and again, then atomic drops! Joe runs to BOOT Yuta down! And adds a SENTON! Cover, TWO! Yuta stays in this but Joe stays on him, only for Yuta to CLAW Joe’s eyes! Yuta runs, but into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, Moxley breaks it! Moxley tags in, then he goes looking under the ring! Moxley grabs a chair! The Maniac no longer cares about winning but about using Champion’s Advantage! The ref tells Moxley to stop right there, but then WILLOW NIGHTINGALE is here! She snatches the chair from Moxley! And she flips him off! Joe BOOTS Moxley down! Yuta goes up to MISSILE DROPKICK Joe!
Shibata BOOTS Yuta! Claudio POP-UP UPPERCUTS Shibata! Hobbs SPINEBUSTERS Claudio! Moxley SHOTGUNS Hobbs! Joe is back as Moxley runs, and Moxley BOOTS Joe! Joe LARIATS Moxley! All six men are down around ringside and Boston is thunderous! Willow coaches The Opps, but now The Young Bucks walk out here? The EVPs are surely going to sway things in the Death Riders’ favor now, given they grab some chairs. But wait! Someone in the crowd snatches Matt’s chair?! IT’S SWERVE STRICKLAND! And he DECKS Matt! Nick runs up, but Swerve BOOTS him! Swerve goes up, DOUBLE KILL STOMPS for The Bucks!!
The fans are thunderous as Boston is now “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve then TOSSES Matt over railing! And he TOSSES Nick onto Matt! The Bucks go tumbling away! Joe is in the corner, Moxley runs up, but Joe URENAGES him down! But Claudio UPERCUTS Joe! Shibata BOOTS Claudio! Shibata pushes Claudio out, they brawl on the ramp! SLEEPER!! Claudio is caught, Shibata sits him down, then runs to PENALTY KICK! Then back to the SLEEPER! Joe puts Moxley up top, tucks him in, but Yuta CLUBS Joe! The fans boo as Yuta fires hands, then runs, but Joe swings! Yuta ducks that to DIVE onto Hobbs, but Hobbs catches him!
Hobbs URENAGES Yuta on the desk! The desk does not break but Hobbs snarls. Marina SMACKS Hobbs with a chair!! The ref missed that but Willow didn’t! Willow runs up to LARIAT Marina!! The fans are thunderous, but Moxley drags Joe up! Underhooks and- NO, Joe wrenches out, COQUINA CLUTCH!!! Moxley is caught, and he’s RIGHT OUT! OPPS WIN!!
Winners: The Opps, by submission (NEW AEW World Trios Champions)
No more reign of terror in the trios division, this one was for Hook! Joe personally gives Hobbs the belt, the pyro goes off, and Boston is all fired up! The Death Riders retreat, and Will Ospreay leads the way as the AEW locker room comes out here to celebrate! The champagne bottles pop off and it’s a toast to The Opps, but perhaps we’re burying the lead as Joe took out THE AEW World Champion! Will Joe look to also dethrone “The One True King” and truly restore the feeling here in AEW?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode of Dynamite here, a lot more than I expected for a themed episode. At the same time, it was a lot of tournament and big story stuff, so they were of course going to go hard. I was a little surprised by the match order, but when they kayfabe’d away Hook being out of action, it did make sense for them to push the trios title to the main event. At the same time, bringing in Hobbs as the third man, adding a lot of overbooking and tying in more story, that was a great way to dethrone the Death Riders and close out the show. Hobbs being a champion again is great for him, and I really do think they should parley this into Joe VS Moxley for the world title at Double or Nothing.
Mercedes Mone VS Athena really could’ve been a main event in itself, but it was still an awesome match even as the opener. Mone winning is fine because Boston, and while I was thinking it’d be Mone VS Athena at All In for the TBS Championship, I suppose they could swing it where it is title for title, TBS Championship and ROH Women’s Championship both on the line. I say that because I still feel like Kris Statlander could be going to All In to face Toni. A little confusing as to why we can’t just get Kris VS Hayter tomorrow night, but Mone & Harley VS Kris & Julia will still be really good. It just feels like they’re giving away the Double or Nothing match just so Mone can have matches both nights in Boston.
Very good promo from The Patriarchy with Christian Cage now being passive aggressive towards Nick Wayne. I like how Christian is taking kayfabe credit for Nick getting in the Best of the Super Juniors, and I do like Nick VS Komander for Collision. No idea if Nick wins that match or not, as it’d be a shame if Nick’s storyline is the reason Komander’s reign comes to an end. But at the same time, how great would it be for the ROH World Television Champion to be part of BOSJ and that big round robin tournament? Though at the same time, something about what Christian said certainly made it feel like Nick will lose, so maybe not.
Great match from Hurt Syndicate VS Gates of Agony, even with Kaun & Liona obviously set up to fail. MJF of course showed up, and while I figured MJF would bribe Hurt Syndicate, I didn’t think it’d be with ladies. Also I think a few, if not all, of the ladies were wrestlers. The redhead was Sloane Jacobs, if I’m not mistaken. But great stuff with Lashley intimidating Shelton into voting against MJF. I feel like MJF should reveal he has been watching the episodes back cuz he wants to keep an eye on the Hurt Syndicate’s “private” conversations, and he can call out MVP for being two-faced saying the Syndicate would just be using MJF for their own gains.
Good promo from Hangman with The Elite, and Okada was cruising for a bruising. Josh Alexander was a great Wild Card, and he has a great match with Hangman, but it made sense for Hangman to win. Alexander possibly joining Callis Family with that bit after is intriguing, but Kyle is now on top going into their semifinal match. I would think that means Hangman wins to go to Double or Nothing. Ospreay VS Konosuke was insane, it might as well have been for the Owen Hart Cup already. Great win for Ospreay, and now even if Kyle defies go home math, Ospreay VS Hangman and Ospreay VS Fletcher are both awesome choices to put on PPV.
