Though they put their bodies on the line, neither The Spanish God and #LightsCameraAction won The Face of the Revolution Ladder match. However, they still have a score to settle between themselves! Will either man make it out of Sacramento in one piece?

Sammy lounges on the top rope as the bell rings. Fans boo and the ref tells Sammy to get down. Sammy says to hold on, and he hops down, Action runs up to TACKLE Sammy! Action throws hands, Sammy gets up, but Action TACKLES him again! Action throws more hands, Sammy gets up and ROCKS Action! And CHOPS Action! Action TACLKES Sammy again! Action keeps throwing hands, then he CHOPS Sammy! And CHOPS again! Sammy bails out but Action pursues. They go around the way, Action CHOPS Sammy against barriers! Sammy staggers, Action whips him into barriers! Fans fire up as Action stalks Sammy.

Sammy CHOPS back, hurries away, but Action CLUBS Sammy. Action CHOPS Sammy, whips, but Sammy reverses to send Action into barriers! Fans boo but Sammy soaks up the heat. Sammy brings Action up, but Action RAMS him into the apron! Action puts Sammy in, Sammy rolls to the far side and fans boo as he bails out again. Action DIVES onto Sammy at the ramp! Fans fire up as Action drags Sammy back up, to UPPERCUT him! Action has Sammy against barriers and CHOPS him again! Action high-fives fans then goes after Sammy again. Action whips Sammy into steel steps! Action flexes, then fires forearms!

Action puts Sammy in the ring, hurries in after him, and he SHOTGUNS Sammy into the corner! Sammy falls into a drop zone, and Action goes up! SPLIT LEG MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and bails out! Fans boo but Action hurries out after Sammy. Action CHOPS Sammy again! Sammy CHOPS back! Sammy puts Action in the ring, but Action RAMS Sammy into the corner. Sammy shoves Action away, Action runs in but is put on the apron. Sammy tries to get away but Action CLOBBERS him! Action then springboards, and he catches Sammy’s anti-air! CATAPULT and Sammy goes out!

Sammy holds onto ropes, skins the cat, but Action is there to clothesline Sammy out! Action then springboards, into a JUMP KNEE!! Both men are down and fans are losing their minds as Rampage goes picture in picture!

Sammy and Action stir and the ref checks them. Sammy stands up, gets in the ring, and does snow angels while he waits on Action. The ring count is climbing, it’s at 7 of 10 before Action sits up! Sammy wants it to go faster, and Action crawls over at 9! Action slides in at 9.99!! Sammy fires off fists on Action! Sammy lets off to soak up the heat, then he spins and poses. Sammy stalks Action, stomps him, then drags him into a chinlock. Sammy thrashes Action around and Rampage returns to single picture. Fans boo Sammy but Action fights up. Sammy wrangles Action back down, but the fans rally up.

Action fights, stands, throws body shots, but Sammy CLUBS Action. Sammy back suplexes, but Action lands on his feet! Action shoves, dodges, DOUBLE CROSSBODIES collide! Both men are back down and a standing count starts. Fans rally, Sammy and Action stir and sit up at 5 of 10. They go forehead to forehead, then forearm for forearm! The forearms go back and forth, faster and faster! Action counter punches, fires off fast hands, then whips. Sammy reverses but Action CLOBBERS Sammy! And UPPERCUTS! And then spins Sammy into a BACKBREAKER and NECKBREAKER!

Sammy bails out but fans fire up. Action builds speed, and Action slides, but Sammy duck sunder. Action comes back, Sammy puts him on the apron but Action mule kicks him! Then ARABIAN PRESS! Fans fire up as Action puts Sammy back in the ring. “Let’s Go, Action!” Action springboards to 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and Action can’t believe it! Action brings Sammy up, fires himself up and runs, but Sammy dodges! Only to run into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives again! Action grits hits teeth, he goes to a corner, and he takes aim. Action runs in to SHOOTING STAR onto knees!

Sammy back suplexes, to a DDT!! Action is dazed, but he manages to roll out of the ring! Sammy can’t believe Action got away! Sammy hurries out after Action, brings him up and brings him around to the timekeeper’s area. Fans boo as Sammy clears off the table. Sammy puts Action on the table, throws down fists, then says he’s muy loco! Sammy goes up the corner, but Action hurries after him! Action CLUBS Sammy, ROCKS him, and SUPERKICKS him! Sammy flops onto the table! Now Action decides to go up top! Action aims, says HE’s loco, and he SUPER FROG SPLASHES through the table!! Sacramento loses its mind over that one!

The ref checks both men, they’re somehow both okay to continue. Action drags Sammy from the wreckage, puts him in the ring, and hurries up top again. Sammy talks with the ref about a bad leg, and DANIEL GARCIA appears! He SHOVES Action off the top!! Sammy torture racks, to hit GO TO HOSPITAL!! Cover, Sammy wins!

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs speaks.

Wait, he has the TNT Championship belt that was stolen from Wardlow’s car! “It has already been written, it’s been said, it’s been done. The new chapter in the Book of Hobbs is the TNT Championship.” QT Marshall says that’s right! And he already told Hobbs that his word is his bond. Next week on AEW Dynamite, live from Winnipeg, it’s the premiere of QTV to give us all the exclusive scoop on who really broke into Wardlow’s car. Well, hard not to see who, but QT accompanies the champ away. Will QTV help Hobbs reach new heights in this new chapter?

The Acclaimed VS Starboy Charlie & Jack Cartwheel!

Max Caster & Anthony Bowens may not have gotten the AEW World Tag Team Championships back from Austin & Colten, but they’re not gonna stop until they have gotten those titles back from Austin & Colten! Does comeback season start now?

But of course, Platinum Max has a diss track on deck! “The Acclaimed in the house, never back down. Damn it feels good to be wrestling in Sac Town! Ey yo, who booked the twink guys? You two lookin’ so sh*tty, I think I got pink eye! And y’all must have small peens, running you right outta Cali like a Walgreens! And I’m killing the game. In Cali, everybody loves the Acclaimed!” Fans cheer and Bowens gets the mic to say “SACRAMENTOOOO~! The Acclaimed have arrived! SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” And he does! Then Billy does a cartwheel to poke fun at Cartwheel. But will The Acclaimed still be having fun in the Golden 1?

The teams sort out and Bowens starts against Cartwheel. They circle, fans sing, “OH~ Scissor Me, Daddy!” Cartwheel kinda likes the song, and he ties up with Bowens. Bowens powers Cartwheel to a corner, CHOPS him, then CHOPS again! Bowens brings Cartwheel out, CLUBS away on him, then says “EVERYONE loves the Acclaimed!” Tag to Caster, Caster kicks then scoops Cartwheel and SLAMS him! Bowens goes up and fans fire up, for SCISSOR ME TIMBERS! Cartwheel writhes but he manages to tag out to Starboy. Starboy pulls down the straps, but runs into a BACKHAND! Caster SUPERKICKS him down!

Caster brings Starboy up, tags Bowens, and Bowens hits the ARRIVAL! Caster is up top, for the MIC DROP! Cover, The Acclaimed win!

Jericho guarantees it by the spirit of Bob Holiday and Roddy Piper! Will The Ocho’s promise become reality?

Konosuke Takeshita VS Preston Vance w/ La Faccion Ingobernable!

The Future of Wrestling collides with Perro Peligroso in a battle of big, tall and hungry stars! They’re both starving for a breakout win, but will this be another notch on the belt for Konosuke? Or will Vance finally show that breaking away from the Dark Order was the right move?

Don Callis joins commentary because he is still hoping Konosuke will join his stable. Konosuke and Vance circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Konosuke puts Vance on ropes, the ref counts the break, and Konosuke lets off clean. Fans rally for Konosuke but Vance and Konosuke circle. They tie up, Vance powers Konosuke to ropes, but he lets off. And CHOPS! Konosuke doesn’t flinch, and Vance mockingly bows and says “Kon’nichiwa!” Fans boo, but Konosuke fires off forearms! Konosuke whips, Vance reverses, but Konosuke ducks ‘n’ dodges and TAKESHITA LINES! Fans fire up, Vance stands, into a POP-UP KNEE! ROLLING ELBOW!

Vance bails out, Konosuke PLANCHAS! Direct hit and fans fire up again! Konosuke keeps on Vance as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Konosuke puts Vance in the ring, runs corner to corner, and BOOTS! Vance wobbles, Konosuke suplexes and hits a BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Konosuke keeps cool, he runs, but Vance distracts the ref and Jose hooks Konosuke’s foot! Konosuke kicks free but Vance clotheslines Konosuke up and out! Vance hurries out after him, RAMS him into barriers, and then drags him up to TOSS him over more barriers! Vance taunts fans, gets a drink of water, to SPLASH Konosuke with it! Konosuke stands up, Vance drags him back to ringside, and Vance hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Konosuke writhes while Vance slides in.

Vance puts up the fist and soaks up the heat. Vance then drags Konosuke from the apron and through the ropes to snap suplex! Vance taunts the fans while Konosuke writhes. Cover, TWO! Vance is annoyed but he takes it out on the fans by taunting them again. Vance drags Konosuke up, but Konosuke throws a forearm! Vance ROCKS Konosuke in return! Konosuke staggers to a corner, Vance storms up on him and whips him corner to corner. Vance runs in to clothesline! And then whips back the other way, to clothesline again! Konosuke flops over, Vance soaks up the heat, and Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns and Vance brings Konosuke up. Konosuke ROCKS Vance! Vance BOOTS Konosuke! Vance spins but into a BOOT! GERMAN SUPLEX! Vance stands, ducks the lariat and he GERMAN SUPLEXES back! But Konosuke stands, DOUBLE ROLLING ELBOWS collide!! Fans fire up as both men fall! The standing count starts, Vance crawls to ropes, as does Konosuke. They both stand at 6 of 10. Vance runs in, into a BOOT! Konosuke goes up to FLYING KNEE! Fans fire up with Konosuke and he brings Vance up. BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Vance survives, Konosuke goes to another corner.

Fans rally, Konosuke runs in, MOTOR DRIVE KNEE!! Cover, Jose gives Vance the ropebreak! Fans boo as the assistant swaggers about. But Konosuke goes out to DECK Jose! That’s he gets! Mark Briscoe is in the ring.

Fans fire up for the Sussex County Chicken as he gets the mic. “Sac Town! What’s good, baby? I come to you tonight representing the Baddest Tag Team in All of Time and Space, Dem Boys, the Briscoe Brothers.” Fans cheer that! Mark continues to say, “Yeeeeah. Thirteen time ROH World Tag Team Champions, baby. Hey, but here we are. Time to move forward with these titles. So, I’m in the back, talking to my main man, Tony Khan. He’s like, ‘Mark. What do you think? What should we do about the titles?’

“I said, ‘Tony, I got a idea, brother. Hey, March the 31st, ROH Supercard of Honor, what do you say we get some of the finest tag teams on this planet? What do you say we find us a big ol’ tall ladder? What do you say we hang the ROH World Tag Team titles from the rafters? And let’s call that sum bish the Reach for the Sky Ladder match?'” Fans love that idea! Mark says he thought it sounded good, too. So here are the first entrants into that match. His amigos, Pentagon y Rey Fenix, the LUCHA BROTHERS!! Penta & Fenix, as well as Alex Abrahantes, are here in Sacramento and fans fire up!

The Lucha Brothers join Mark in the ring, they high five and hug it out. That’s one team, but how many more teams will get in on this historic tribute to Jay Briscoe?

AEW looks at the coming showdown of Hook VS Stokely Hathaway.

After losing the FTW Championship match, Matt Hardy was on the hook for Stokely now having to face the Cold-Hearted, Handsome Devil in a NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH, with The Firm BANNED FROM RINGSIDE! Stokely says Hardy has ruined his life, but Hardy says he didn’t want it to go down like that. Hardy will train Stokely to be ready, but will nothing save Stokely from Hook?

Mark Henry welcomes us back to Rampage.

“Tonight, two former AEW Women’s World Champions face off: Nyla Rose VS Riho, who has been on a roll.” Excalibur says this rivalry dates back to the first Dynamite in Washington, DC. What was perhaps seen as the Native Beast’s coronation in her hometown, Riho overcame the odds and scored an upset victory to become the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion. Just over four months later, Nyla would defeat Riho in the rematch to become the second ever champion and have a dominant reign. These two meet again, “rekindling one of AEW’s earliest rivalries.” No need to talk, it’s time for the main event!

Riho VS Nyla Rose w/ Marina Shafir!

The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally up for Riho as she ties up with Nyla, but Nyla puts Riho in a corner. Nyla messes Riho’s hair and mushes her face around, but lets off as the ref reprimands. Riho just brushes that off and circles with Nyla again. Riho dodges Nyla to fire off forearms, but Nyla shoves her away. Riho comes back for more, but Nyla knees low. Nyla whips and runs Riho over! Nyla runs, SENTONS but misses as Riho moves! Riho brings Nyla up as fans rally, but Riho tries to scoop?! Nyla’s too big for tiny Riho, and she SLAPS Riho! “BAKA!” Nyla scoops and SLAMS Riho down!

Nyla SPLASHES, covers, TWO as Riho goes Matrix! Riho runs ot DROPKICK! And DROPKICK again! Nyla bails out and fans fire up for Riho as she goes up top. Riho aims, CROSSBODIES, but Nyla catches her! Nyla grins as she pops Riho around, and she carries Riho around the way. Riho slips off to RAM Nyla into steel steps! Nyla clutches her knees, she gets in the ring, but Marina storms up on Riho. The ref tells Marina to back off and she does. Riho goes up the steps to go up the corner, but Marina creeps over again. The ref reprimands, Riho still climbs, and Riho waits on Nyla to stand. CROSSBODY and it takes Nyla down this time! Cover, TWO!

Riho brings Nyla up but she tries to suplex! Nyla CLUBS Riho, suplexes Riho and holds her up! Nyla holds Riho up for a count of TEN before the SLAM! Riho writhes and crawls to a corner. Nyla runs in but Riho slips out! Nyla hits buckles, then Riho HOTSHOTS her away! But then Marina yanks Riho down! SAYANAGI! Fans boo as The Problem becomes a problem for Riho! Marina puts Riho in the ring and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Nyla looms over Riho, stomps her, then drags her up. Nyla bumps Riho off buckles, digs her boot in, but lets off as the ref counts. Nyla storms up to stomp Riho, then she brings Riho around to THROW her into a corner! Nyla RAMS into Riho, and again, and again! Nyla carries Riho around, and SLAMS her down! Nyla kneels for the cover, TWO! Nyla is annoyed and she clamps onto Riho with an armlock and chinbar. Riho endures, but Nyla CLUBS her down! Nyla taunts the fans, then stomps Riho around. Nyla then clamps on a dragon sleeper, and she bends Riho against her knee! Riho still endures and fans rally up.

Nyla grins as she keeps on the pressure, and CLAWS Riho’s stomach! The ref reprimands, Nyla lets off, but then she CLAWS Riho again! Nyla pushes Riho to a cover, TWO! Riho refuses to give up and Nyla is annoyed. Nyla drops a leg, but misses! Riho fires off forearms! Riho hammers away on Nyla with fury! Fans fire up but Nyla CLAWS Riho’s face! Nyla SMOTHERS Riho, the ref counts, and Nyla lets off. Nyla drags Riho up to suplex high and hard! Cover, TWO!! Riho survives and Nyla grows further frustrated. Nyla stands over Riho, talks trash to her, then drags her up by her hair. Rampage returns to single picture as Riho fires more forearms!

Nyla knees low, whips Riho to a corner, then runs in, but into BOOTS! Riho runs, tilt-o-whirls and headscissors! Nyla ends up in a corner, Riho runs in, but into a BODY BLOCK! Nyla brings Riho back up, hoists her to the top rope, and climbs up after her. Fans rally, Nyla smothers Riho into the buckle, and she HAMMERS away on Riho’s back. Riho fights back with forearms and fists! Nyla falls off the corner! Riho adjusts, aims, and leaps to FLYING RANA!! Nyla flounders, Riho runs in at the corner, JUMP KNEE! Nyla falls, Riho goes up top! Fans are thunderous as Riho aims again! Diving double stomps!! Cover, TWO!!!

Fans are thunderous as Nyla survives Riho’s coup de grace! Riho brings Nyla up, reels her in, but Nyla blocks the Northern Lights. Nyla whips, Riho tilt-o-whirls, but into a POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!!! Riho is showing her heart but Nyla suplexes her again, to hang her out to dry. Nyla goes to the corner, she climbs up and we’re getting flashbacks, GUILLOTINE KNEE DROP!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Riho survives what defeated her at Double or Nothing! Nyla is beside herself and Marina is stunned! But Sacramento is thunderous for Riho! Nyla goes back up the corner, SWANTON BOMB FLOPS!!!

Riho hurries and NORTHERN LIGHTS?!? Bridging cover, TWO!?!? As shocking as it was for Riho to pull it off, it was shocking that Nyla survives! Riho hurries to sit Nyla up and she goes to a corner. Riho runs in, but Nyla ducks! Riho runs right into the corner! And Nyla SPLASHES her! Then CANNONBALL hits buckles! Riho avoids disaster, takes aim again, wrenches and crucifix DRIVER!! Cover, ONE?!?! Nyla slipped free but Riho tries again, TWO! Nyla sits up in a daze, Riho wants another shot! But Marina anchors her foot! Riho BOOTS Marina away! But Nyla BOOTS Riho and reels her in! BEAST- NO, Riho slips free! ROLLING LEG CRADLE! RIHO WINS!!!

Winner: Riho, by pinfall

The inaugural champion snatches victory from the jaws of the beast! But the Vicious Vixens mug her! Fans boo, and Nyla hits a BEAST BOMB!! Marina smothers Riho and pushes her down. The Vicious Vixens go to leave, but Toni Storm, Saraya and Ruby Soho walk out? The Outcasts and the Vicious Vixens lock eyes, but the Vixens say the Outcasts can have at it! Saraya, Storm & Soho get in the ring and surround Riho! Soho & Saraya stand Riho up so Storm can spray paint her! They stomp Riho and make her take the L! Fans boo, but are the Outcasts just asking for trouble by picking on more and more of the AEW originals?

My Thoughts:

A really good Rampage, with some actual story progress happening. Great opener from Sammy VS Action, and it’s wild that Action has only been a pro for three years yet he’s this good. But of course Garcia helps Sammy cheat to win so that Sammy and the JAS goes strong into the Trios Championship match. Good promo from Jericho to further hype that match, but I feel like the Triple Threat is just to make it bigger when the House of Black retain the titles. Good win from The Acclaimed over the local talent, and of course Menard & Parker come out to double down on trying to recruit The Acclaimed. But of course The Acclaimed didn’t accept, this is gonna come down to a match first.

Good promo from Swerve to hype up the coming grudge match of him and Keith Lee, which really should’ve happened sooner but whatever. The way Swerve talked, though, I feel like he should get a new member for Mogul Affiliates so that it becomes a traditional faction. And hilarious video package to go with Hardy telling Stokely he will train him to face Hook. I hope we get that training segment as a vignette, too, because that’ll be hilarious. And great promo from Mark Briscoe to officially announce the vacating of the ROH World Tag Team Championships. And of course, Reach for the Sky is the perfect name for the ladder match. With it being a ladder match with many teams, that is a great way to get in all the teams they’re building in ROH in on things.

Great match from Konosuke VS Vance, and solid win for Konosuke. Callis being on commentary keeps the story going, I feel like Konosuke’s final decision needs to be a big moment on Dynamite, not something put on Rampage or a YouTube show. Then Konosuke can either be part of The Elite, or he can feud with them, assuming The Elite renew their contracts to stay in AEW. And while we didn’t get an interview promo with Mark Henry, we got a good vignette to remind us of the Riho VS Nyla rivalry. Riho VS Nyla tonight was great stuff, and of course Shafir got involved here and there. Riho still winning was great, as she’s been rebuilding her AEW record again.

However, quite the surprise that “The Outcasts” showed up, and that Nyla and Shafir were on their side. Though, on some level, it makes sense for Shafir as she is also former WWE. And hopefully this means we’re getting more women in on the story of the Women’s Division Civil War. Nyla may not be a former WWE wrestler, but as a Heel, she’ll mesh perfectly with Saraya’s group, and that’s five Heels there. Riho can side with Hayter and Britt, and after what happened on Dynamite, Willow will definitely want to join them. Skye Blue was also in that beating, but I feel like there are names better fit for a 5v5 match (still hoping for Blood & Guts).
