The trios sort out and the Aussie Arrow starts against #JustTrent. They circle, fans rally with “AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!” “OI OI OI!” and then the two tie up. Kyle wrenches, hits an ELBOW BREAKER for each “OI OI OI!” but Trent rolls, wrenches and headlocks in return. Kyle fights up, powers out, but Trent RAMS shoulders! Kyle rebounds to run Trent over! Fans cheer, Kyle taunts Chuck, and he brings Trent up to CHOP! Kyle brings Trent around to wrench and whip but Trent reverses. Trent drops, to then DOUBLE KNEE Kyle down! Fans fire up, Trent drags Kyle up and CHOPS him to the corner!

Tag to Rocky but Kyle gets away. Kyle says hold on, and Ospreay offers his hand. Kyle tags him in and the fans fire up for the Commonwealth Kingpin! Ospreay and Rocky circle, feel things out, and Ospreay BOOTS Rocky! Ospreay BLASTS Best Friends while fans sing “OSPREAAAY~, OSPREAY OSPREAY OSPREAAAY~! OSPREAAAY~! OSPREAAAY~!” Ospreay puts some stank on a CHOP, and Rocky falls right over! Rocky crawls to ropes, Ospreay whips him across the way, but Rocky ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Fans fire up as Ospreay bails out and Rocky builds speed, but Cobb slides in to catch Rocky!

Rocky BELL CLAPS free, runs, and he RAMS Cobb! Cobb doesn’t budge! Rocky runs in again, RAMS Cobb, but again Cobb doesn’t budge. Rocky runs again, but Best Friends get in, and they RAM Cobb and run him over! Fans fire up as Kyle runs in, but Best Friends dodge and Rocky clotheslines Kyle out! Trent goes to the apron, mule kicks Kyle away, and holds the ropes open for Rocky to DIVE onto Ospreay! Chuck then builds speed, Trent ducks down and Chuck FLIES to take out Cobb! Trent goes up, fans fire up, and Trent ASAI MOONSAULTS the Empire down! Rocky HIGH-TENS the Best Friends!

Fans fire up, Chuck puts Ospreay in and Rocky is on him. Rocky CHOPS, then tags Chuck. They mug Ospreay, then Chuck tags in Trent. Best Friends double whip and double ELBOW him down. They shake hands, compliment each other, and then double elbow drop on Ospreay! Fans cheer and Trent brings Ospreay back up. Tag to Chuck, the Best Friends mug Ospreay, and then Chuck tags Rocky. They mug Ospreay again, and Rocky CLUBS Ospreay’s neck. Rocky ROCKS Ospreay with a forearm, and he clamps on a chinlock. Fans rally and Ospreay fights free with forearms. Ospreay UPPERCUTS Rocky but Rocky RAMS him to the corner!

Tag to Chuck, he stomps away on Ospreay but lets off as the ref counts 4. Chuck brings Ospreay up but Ospreay blocks the whip. Chuck kicks low, ROCKS Ospreay then whips, but Ospreay handsprings to NEUTRALIZER! Kyle runs in to BLAST Trent & Rocky! And says “SUCK IT!” Fans fire up and Cobb tags in to RAM Chuck to a corner! Cobb drags Chuck up to RUNNING SUPLEX! Chuck writhes to ropes and Cobb brings him around. Cobb drags Chuck up to tag in Kyle, and they mug Chuck. Kyle then brings Chuck around to bump him off buckles. Kyle stomps Chuck, Ospreay tags in, and they take turns giving Chuck CHOPS! CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP, they don’t stop until the ref counts 4! Kyle argues with the ref, Trent protests, but Ospreay drags Chuck up for the SPIN-OUT BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Ospreay kicks Chuck around, but Chuck throws body shots! And forearms! Ospreay & Cobb mug Chuck against ropes, then Cobb whips corner to corner. Rampage returns to single picture as Cobb runs in, but into a BOOT! Chuck brings Cobb around, but Cobb’s too big to scoop! Taya brings Adora up, whips her to a corner, and runs in, but into an ELBOW from Adora! Fans fire up, Taya runs back in and blocks a boot to KICK that leg! Taya then puts Adora in the ropes to KICK her, and SLIDING GERMAN! Taya says “Viva La Wera Loca!” while fans are still torn. Taya takes her time returning while Adora staggers to her feet. But then Adora runs in to BOOT Taya to a corner! Adora runs, Taya comes back, but Adora dodges to fire off forearms! Fans fire up with every shot, and Adora is all fired up! Adora winds up to DECK Taya!! Taya goes to a corner, but she BOOTS back!

Adora roars, comes back, but Taya dodges, redirects and SPEARS! Adora sits up but Taya is on her with crossface forearms! Taya pushes Adora down, traps the legs in a deathlock, and then grabs the arms. Fans duel as Adora resists, but Taya still hits the SURFBOARD STOMP! Cover, Taya wins!

On Dynamite, Battle of the Blood Brothers! The Hardy Boyz VS The Gunns! And it was actually adorable the way “those arrogant mooncalves” think they’re going to win. Maybe the Gunns forgot who Matt & Jeff are! They are THE Hardy Boyz! They’ve been at the top of the tag team wrestling scene across the WORLD for the last three DECADES!

They are legit in the conversation for the Greatest Of All Time! Kassidy says, “Facts!” And Matt tells the Gunns that they are going to be mere stepping stones for Matt & Jeff becoming AEW World Tag Team Champions and hitting a high note for their fourth decade. 25 years ago, the Hardys beat Daddy’s Ass. This Wednesday, they’re beating those two asses! Jeff adds that Austin & Colten are very “animated, charismatic, arrogant, and very over dramatic.” Daddy scissors, the boys suck… it? All of this started because the Sussex County Chicken reached out to an old friend in Jay Lethal. The problem is, the group Lethal’s currently running with are a bunch of carny jackasses! Will the son, the father, and one pissed off referee finally humble Double J and the Misses? Or will Jeff, Karen & Lethal have a Smash Hit on their hands?

The trios sort out and Mark starts against Lethal. Lethal tries to talk reason with Mark, this beef isn’t between them, it’s Aubrey and Karen. Mark agrees, and they shake hands to show this is just about good competition between them. The fans rally for Aubrey as Mark and Lethal tie up. Mark headlocks for the takeover, Lethal fights up, and Lethal powers out. Mark runs Lethal over and fans fire up. Things speed up, Mark RAMS Lethal and Lethal goes to ropes. Mark runs in but Lethal elbows him away! Tag to Jeff and he runs in to kick Mark low. Fans boo as Jeff JABS and JABS and whips to then hip toss!

Jeff struts but only his wife and team cheer. Jeff and Karen then have a little kiss, but Mark storms up to CHOP Jeff! And CHOP again! Mark whips, hip tosses Jeff, then hip tosses him again! Jeff runs away to tag in Karen! So here comes Aubrey! Fans fire up as she forearm bumps Mark, and eggs Karen on. They circle, Karen keeping her distance. Karen just taunts Aubrey and then tags out to Lethal. Fans boo but Mark gets in to REDNECK-FU UPPERCUT! And CHOP! lethal flounders to ropes, Mark fires forearms! Tag to PAPA! Father and son double whip Lethal, then DOUBLE SHOUDLER TACKLE! Fans fire up and Papa covers, TWO!

Fans rally for Papa Briscoe as he drags Lethal up. Papa bumps Lethal off buckles, tags Mark in, and Mark fires hands! Mark drags Lethal up to suplex up and over! Mark says he’s going up top and fans fire up. Mark climbs a corner but Sonjay barks at him. Mark hops down, Sonjay runs away, and Lethal BLASTS Mark off the apron! Fans boo as Sonjay mocks Mark, but then Sonjay stomps Mark while Lethal distracts the ref! And Jeff adds on! And Satnam! Fans boo but Jeff drags Mark up, SNAKE EYES off the railing as Rampage goes picture in picture!

Jeff drags Mark up and puts him in the ring for Lethal. So much for this being fair competition. The ref is late to the cover, having to hold Aubrey and Papa Briscoe back. TWO, and Triple J protests. Lethal stomps Mark in a corner, brings him around and tags in Jeff. They double whip but Mark reverses to send Lethal away. Lethal bails out and Jeff hits a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Jeff talks some trash, stomps away on Mark, then tags in Karen. Aubrey hurries in but Karen CLAWS Mark’s back! Aubrey chases Karen out of the ring, then around the ring! Satnam stands in Aubrey’s way! Karen gets back in the ring as Aubrey pushes past.

Aubrey gets in but Karen tags back to Jeff! Jeff DECKS Mark, then stomps away in the corner! Tag to Lethal and they whip Mark to kick, NECKBREAKER, and strut! Lethal drags Mark up but Mark CHOPS! Lethal rakes eyes! Lethal shoves Mark down while the ref reprimands, and Lethal tags in Jeff. They stomp Mark, then Jeff tells the ref to back off. Jeff drops knees and rains down fists! Jeff has Mark in a corner, he eggs Mark on and taunts all the fans. Jeff JABS and DECKS Mark again! Tag to Lethal, he and Jeff mug Mark, and Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns and Mark fights off both Jeff & Lethal! But Jeff pokes Mark in the eyes! Jeff & Lethal double whip, but Mark ducks the double clothesline to DOUBLE LARIAT in return! Fans fire up while all three men are down! Mark crawls, hot tag to The Big Man! Papa Briscoe eggs Jeff & Lethal on, and Jeff argues with Lethal about who takes him on! Jeff finally runs in, but into a LARIAT! And another! Lethal tries, but Papa points at him! That stops Lethal in his tracks, and then Papa Briscoe CHOKES Lethal with both hands! Papa puts Lethal in the corner, whips corner to corner and Mark runs in to SPLASH! Feed to a LARIAT from Papa!

Sonjay is mad and he gets on the apron, but Papa Briscoe just CLOBBERS him! Jeff runs in, Papa dodges to SPEAR!! Papa tags in Aubrey! And she gets at Karen! The fans are thunderous as the two ladies scrap, and Aubrey gets the better of Karen! Karen shoves Aubrey away but Aubrey grabs hair to TOSS Karen! And then TOSS her again! The fans are thunderous for Aubrey but Karen claws the eyes! The ref reprimands, but Sonjay gets Karen a guitar! Karen aims at Aubrey but the ref says don’t! Aubrey kicks Karen first! Aubrey has the guitar! Fans want it, the ref says don’t, but then Lethal steps in!

Fans boo as Lethal shields Karen, but Aubrey is still ready to swing! Lethal dares her to hit him then! The ref still tells Aubrey not to, but then Satnam gets up. Satnam eggs Aubrey on, too. Mark gets up, he and Satnam both distract the ref, and Aubrey SMASH HITS Lethal!! Fans are loving it but Satnam protests! Look, he can clearly see what happened by the aftermath! But then Karen wrenches Aubrey and reels her in, THE- NO, no Stroke! Aubrey trips Karen, has the leg, and lets out a “WOO~!” Aubrey steps through, FIGURE FOUR!! Karen taps, Aubrey & The Briscoes win!

Lexi is with La Wera Loca and notes her big win. She’s been on a roll lately, how is she feeling? Taya says she feels amazing! One more win in DC, where the fans could NOT get enough of her. Well it’s clear she has her sights set on Statlander- Yeah, yeah, yeah! KrIs StAtLaNdEr~! You’re gonna ask her about Kris, too? The NEW~ TBS Champion! How have we not had enough of her? Seriously, where does- Kris walks in, actually. Taya says interrupting her is rude. But Kris says that we all know Taya’s been watching Kris. Kris knows she has what Taya wants, but it isn’t Kris’ fault Jade put out an open challenge.

Taya says that was a load of garbage! Taya broke Jade down, that is what allowed Kris to swoop in like that! Kris cheated Taya and took all the attention away from her! Taya put in the work while Kris was home for God knows how long, “nursing yourself back to health,” and then just takes Taya’s spot. Well, if Taya wants it so bad, then Kris will defend this belt any time, any place. She’ll even put it on the line next week if she wants it so bad. Taya knows where to find her, so come and get it. The World’s Strongest Man says tonight, Konosuke Takeshita takes on Bandido, but then Don Callis walks in to interrupt. He says in his best Spanish that he wants Henry to hold on. Tonight, they have Bandido, and Bandido is a top level athlete. “Because unlike Kenny Omega, Takeshita only wrestles top level athletes.” But Bandido has a couple things to think about. Takeshita isn’t just better than Omega, he is better than El Santo, better than Perro Aguayo, better than Ultimo Dragon. Bandido’s beaten a lot of great Mexican wrestlers, but he has not beaten El Hijo de Don Callis, Konosuke Takeshita. “Esta listo para palar con Takeshita, because Takeshita es El Dio de la Lucha Libre!”

Callis translates for himself, he said Konosuke is the NEW God of Pro-Wrestling! “Get ready, kid. You’re in for a long night. Iku za! Iku za!” Don is ready to go, and Konosuke tells Bandido off in Japanese that he’s in for a beating. Well, looks like there’s been enough talk. It’s TIME for the main event! Callis may have fumbled multiple languages, but will what happens tonight be universal?

Is anyone else seeing the newest oil painting NFT whatever on the tron? Konosuke as a centaur with Don Callis riding on his horse body, and Callis is jacked and only in jeans in reference to that old painting of Callis and Omega. Anyway… The bell rings and Bandido offers a handshake. Konosuke reaches out, but then fakes him out! Konosuke then rushes in but Bandido dodges the boot to fire CHOP after CHOP! Konosuke forearms, Bandido CHOPS, repeat! Fans rally for Bandido as the CHOPS keep flying, but Konosuke rakes the eyes! Fans boo, Callis joins commentary, and Konosuke runs, only for Bandido to hurdle over.

Bandido rolls, Konosuke leaps over, and things keep moving. Konosuke BOOTS Bandido, fireman’s carries, and TOSSES him away! Callis laughs, Konosuke runs in but Bandido trips Konosuke outta the knee! 21 PL- NO, Konosuke holds ropes and then flings Bandido out! Konosuke then aims to HIGH PLANCHA! Fans boo but Konosuke just soaks it up. Konosuke drags Bandido up, whips him hard into railing, and then runs in to BOOT Bandido over the railing! Fans fire up as Konosuke goes up and over to stand Bandido up, just to DECK him with a forearm! Callis says Konosuke is going to keep going until he gets his match with Omega.

Konosuke tosses Bandido back to ringside, and then puts him in the ring. Fans boo but Konosuke just soaks it up. Konosuke drags Bandido up, slashes his throat, and suplexes, but Bandido slips fere! Bandido kick slow, and he suplexes Konosuke! Fans fire up as Bandido holds Konosuke up, for FIVE! Callis admits, that is impressive. Konosuke goes to a corner and fans want that “ONE MORE TIME!” Bandido obliges and he suplexes again! And he holds Konosuke up for TEN! Fans fire up with Bandido, and he brings Konosuke back up. Bandido whips him to a corner but Konosuke reverses.

Konosuke runs in but Bandido puts him on the apron! GAMANGIRI! Bandido then goes up, aims, and FLYING RANAS Konosuke to the floor!! Fans fire up and Callis says he’s seen enough. Callis storms down the ramp to ringside and fans boo. Bandido wonders what this is about, but Callis says he’ll keep his distance. Bandido tells him to go to the back. Bandido fetches Konosuke, puts him in the ring, and then aims from the apron. Bandido springboards, but into a FACEBUSTER! Konosuke rains down fists but Bandido might be out cold! Callis soaks up the heat while Rampage goes picture in picture.

Konosuke lets off and Bandido stirs. Callis talks some smack, Konosuke drags Bandido up by his hair and mask. The ref reprimands, but Konosuke puts Bandido in the corner. Konosuke ROCKS Bandido, RAMS into him again and again, but lets off as the ref counts. Konosuke drags Bandido up, winds up, and UPPERCUTS! Konosuke soaks up the heat, brings Bandido around, and snapmares. Konosuke goes up the corner, soaks up more heat, and then SUPER SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Bandido is still in this and that frustrates Konosuke. Callis argues the count but Konosuke drags Bandido up into a Cobra Twist!

Bandido endures, the fans rally, and Bandido fights out of the hold to put it on Konosuke! But then Konosuke powers out with a hip toss! Konosuke soaks up the heat and looms over Bandido. Konosuke stands Bandido up, whips him to ropes, and CLOBBERS him with an elbow! Konosuke drags Bandido into a body scissor! Bandido endures the squeeze and pries at the hold, but Konosuke shifts to a rear bearhug! Bandido endures again, fights up, and he throws elbows! Konosuke fires back, spins, but he feints Bandido out to hit a body shot! Bandido falls over and Konosuke shrugs. Konosuke then taunts Bandido while squatting.

Rampage returns to single picture and Konosuke dares Bandido to get up. Bandido rises, he goes forehead to forehead with Konosuke and they egg each other on in Spanish and Japanese. Bandido fires forearms but Konosuke still eggs him on! Bandido forearms, CHOPS, repeat, then fires off CHOP after CHOP after CHOP! Bandido roars, runs, but Konosuke LARIATS him down! Konosuke rains down forearms while fans boo. Konosuke lets off to catch his breath, and Bandido goes to a corner. Callis tells Konosuke to keep it up, and Konosuke soaks up the heat. Konosuke runs in, but into a BOOT!

Bandido UPPERCUTS, goes up top and TORNILLOS! Bandido keeps moving, tilt-o-whirl DDT!! Fans fire up but Konosuke flops out of the ring! Bandido keeps focus and the fans rally. Bandido climbs, to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Direct hit and down goes Konosuke! Callis creeps over but the ref is watching him. The ring count climbs, “This is Awesome!” as Bandido stands at 5 of 10 to put Konosuke in at 6. Bandido aims, springboards, but Konosuke gets under! BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Konosuke comes back but Bandido trophy lifts him! To PRESS SLAM him! Bandido goes right up top, to Latino Heat, FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Konosuke survives and Bandido is shocked! The fans continue to rally and Konosuke slowly rises. Bandido storms up on Konosuke and he fires a clothesline! Bandido then puts Konosuke up top, climbs up after him, and he scoops, but Konosuke fights! Konosuke BITES AN EAR!! Konosuke then adjusts his position, stands Bandido up, and SUPER LARIATS!! Konosuke sits on the cover, TWO?!?! Bandido survives and no one can believe it!

Konosuke is furious and he hammers away on Bandido! Konosuke lets off but the fans still rally behind Bandido. Konosuke runs in from the corner, but into a scoop! Torture rack and pop up, X MARKS THE SPOT! Konosuke is on the ropes, Bandido runs in, 21 PLEX!! But Konosuke lands on his feet?!? Bandido is shocked, he rushes in, but Konosuke gets around to O’Conner, CHAOS THEORY! But Bandido lands on HIS feet!! And BOOTS Konosuke! Bandido runs, but into a BOOT! Konosuke runs in, Bandido ducks but Konosuke gets him up for a POWER- SUNSET BOMB from Bandido!! High stack, TWO!!!

Fans are thunderous as Konosuke blocks the superkick! Konosuke yanks Bandido up into a PILE- RANA!!! Cover, TWO?!?!?! Callis is relieved but even he didn’t seem to think Konosuke would survive! The fans are electric as these two stand up again. Bandido runs, LARIATS but Konosuke stays up! Bandido LARIATS again, then DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Neither falls, Konosuke runs but Bandido dodges, into the JUMP KNEE!! Konosuke sits Bandido up and takes aim, BLINDSIDE FOREARM!! But he’s not done there! He waits for Bandido to sit back up again, POWER DRIVE KNEE!!! Cover, Konosuke wins!!

Callis was right, Bandido IS a world class athlete! But Konosuke proves HE is a world class athlete by winning! Kenny Omega may have his hands full at Forbidden Door, but will Konosuke be waiting for him on the other side?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here, though I’m surprised the Mixed Trios wasn’t the main event. It was really good, though, with Papa Briscoe and Aubrey Edwards each having their moments. But naturally, Aubrey got to finish this off since fans really like her, and they wanted to see Karen Jarrett get her comeuppance even more than Jeff Jarrett getting his. But for now, this ends things with Aubrey and Karen and such, but I think the real blow-off is either Mark beats Jeff 1v1, or he faces Lethal 1v1 and gets Lethal to ditch Team Triple J. Great opening Trios match, though, The United Empire is rolling strong in AEW, and I still think Ospreay wins the IWGP US Championship off Omega.

We got an awesome main event from Konosuke VS Bandido, but naturally Konosuke wins this to keep his momentum going. Callis had a good promo beforehand, and I guess his new family is just him and Konosuke and that’s it. And since they want after Omega, Konosuke & Callis could be why Omega loses the title at Forbidden Door. It keeps Omega strong in a loss, as again, Ospreay has to be taking the title back to NJPW. Then Omega VS Konosuke for like All In or All Out is just a natural move.

And pretty good stuff in the TBS Championship story. Taya VS Adora was a good match, and DC loves Adora. But Taya getting the win made sense, she needs momentum before facing Kris Statlander for the title. Kris said “next week,” so I don’t know if that means for Dynamite or for Rampage. But I feel that either way, Kris is retaining the title. Taya did have a point in the backstage promo that she got cheated, but more by Tony Khan and AEW creative wanting Jade to make it to 60-0 before losing, and not planning that out better back when she was still just 50-0.
