The Men’s Owen Hart Cup entrants speak.

Powerhouse Hobbs says tonight on Collision, the Book of Hobbs says it is the end for The Natural! But Dustin Rhodes says there are two things Hobbs doesn’t have: experience, and grit. Dustin vows to win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament for Owen! Roderick Strong says that tonight, he and Samoa Joe go 1v1 for the first time in SEVENTEEN YEARS, and beating Joe will lead Strong to win the whole thing. Joe says that Strong will be found wanting while Joe becomes the 2023 King of Harts. Who joins CM Punk in the semifinals?

MJF VS Kip Morst!

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is still AEW World Champion after he trumped The Ace of NJPW. And here, on Canada Day, he is all star-spangled as he makes his Collision wrestling debut. Will MJF make everyone salute the stars ‘n’ stripes with a win here tonight? Or will Hamilton’s own be leading the crowd in singing O Canada?

OH NO, MJF goes right after Morst! He stomps away, the ref backs him off, and then the bell rings. MJF drags Morst up to put Morst through ropes, slashes his throat, HEATSEEKER! Cover, MJF lets off?! MJF is messing with Hamilton and Morst now. He drags Morst into a LEBELL LOCK! Morst manages to tap, MJF wins!

Winner: MJF, by submission

MJF sends a message to Bryan Danielson, who is out with injury, then TOSSES Morst out! MJF gets the mic, has them cut his music, and he says that he knows the “stupid crooked Canadians are very, very, very unintelligent, but when the world champion’s holding the microphone, you keep your hillbilly white trash mouths shut.” Fans boo more but MJF continues to say, “You think I wanna be here? I was supposed to have a day off today! But instead, I had to come to crappy ass Hamilton! Hamilton, Ontario, Canada is filled with the dumbest, most worthless pieces of trash I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Fans boo more but MJF says in fact, he is so positive that he could beat ANYONE who is from Hamilton, and he’ll even put the title on the line! Fans cheer, and here comes big bad Bonecrusher Steve Brown! Fans cheer but MJF tells “Fat boy” that go ahead, come and get it. But then ETHAN PAGE walks out! Ethan tells Brown that it’s okay, he’s got this. Ethan gets a mic now and MJF isn’t sure what to make of former Firm member. He knows Ethan is not on his- ETHAN SLAPS THE MIC AWAY! Fans fire up as Ethan says they’re not doing this crap. Not tonight in Hamilton!

The crazy thing is, MJF was about to say Ethan is not on his level? Really? You have no clue what Ethan’s capable of. Everyone who does know, don’t seem to give a crap! So let Ethan remind everyone the cloth that he is cut from! Fans fire up for that, and Ethan says his father moved from Macedonia to right here, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and was lucky enough to get a job at the National Steel Corps! And y’know what everyone told Papa Page? They told him, “Be happy, make the money you’re making and enjoy the position you have, because this is all you can do.” Y’know what Ethan’s dad showed him? Not to listen to the lazy, spoon-fed “chosen!”

Y’know what MJF is not? MJF is not Ethan’s father, a man who became the president of multiple companies and showed Ethan the way! So you wanna say Ethan’s not on MJF’s level? He’s not! Because he’s not a “bare minimum b*tch!!” Fans fire up for that! MJF tells Ethan to watch himself, but then the ref walks back in. MJF put up the challenge, is he going to honor it? Ethan says MJF can walk around with the belt all he wants, he is #NotMyWorldChampion! When it comes to AEW needing someone to do something, they don’t call MJF. They call Ethan Page! Ethan’s always here for the fans, for the company, and for those three letters, A E W!!

And when the company asks Ethan on last minute notice to promote this tour, Ethan said yes. He told his kids he isn’t coming home, and his wife asked, “Whenever is this company gonna pay you back for all the extra sh*t you do?” And he told his wife, “In due time.” Max, NOW’S that time!! MJF might be AEW champion, but Ethan champions AEW!! Maybe MJF should be a man for once and do something for the company by doing what he said. Anyone from Hamilton, right? Let’s do it right here, right now, against Ethan! MJF is angry, but he says fine! The title is handed to the ref, will MJF be getting it back?

AEW World Championship: MJF VS Ethan Page!

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and Hamilton could be a place of history!

Ethan endures, MJF digs knuckles into the knee, but fans rally up.

Ethan CLUBS MJF and throws hands. MJF lets go, Ethan hobbles up, and Ethan JAWBREAKERS! MJF goes to a corner, but he uses the ref as a shield! Fans boo and MJF gets a kick to Ethan’s leg in. Ethan endures, goes to the side now, and fans fire up as Ethan gets the ROPEBREAK! MJF lets go in frustration, and has to rest his own back and legs from holding on that long. Ethan shakes out the bad leg and fans rally up. MJF storms over to Ethan as Collision goes picture in picture.

MJF tells the ref to watch himself, and he brings Ethan through the ropes. MJF slashes his throat, HEAT- NO, Ethan dumps MJF out! MJF stands, Ethan FLYING SHOULDER TACKLES from the apron! Ethan hobbles, gets in the ring, and he builds speed? But not enough, and MJF CHOP BLOCKS the knee! MJF soaks up the heat again, and he stomps Ethan’s bad leg! Miro VS Anthony Henry!

Last we heard from The Redeemer, he didn’t care if he was redeemed or not, because he is doing things his way, for himself, and nothing will stop him! Will Miro crush all competition until he is a champion again? Or will the Saint of Augusta show him that is not the way?

This wasn’t quite David VS Goliath, mostly because Goliath won this time! Will Miro be the only one he needs to be back on top?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes out Bullet Club Gold! Jay White, Juice Robinson, and the newest members, Austin & Colten Gunn! The Bang Bang Gang makes their way out, and Switchblade says hold on, where are they? Here they come! Austin & Colten have the shirts on and everyone throws up the gun fingers. They continue on down towards the ring, Juice gives the Owen Hart Cup trophy a good shining, and then they all get in the ring with Schiavone. He knows they’re all celebrating after last week’s win, and the new members, “ASS~ BOYS~!” But what is next for BCG in AEW?

White tells fans to hush first. He doesn’t like the energy here, or Schiavone’s energy. It’s too low! BCG has a couple of new members! The Bang Bang Gang is at full four-ce! King Switch, Rock Hard, and now the “Golden Gunns!” You like that? How about #TopShelfGunns? Schiavone is jelly, huh? This is the golden era of Bullet Club, and that continues tonight when Jay’s friend Juice absolutely wipes the floor with Ricky Starks. Austin then takes over, thanks. The real question tonight is why did the Gunns join Jay ‘n’ Juice? Well, Jay ‘n’ Juice have won multiple titles around the world. Switchblade is a NJPW Grand Slam Champion.

The fans chant “ASS~ BOYS~!” as Austin says the Juice is loose tonight! The other question is: Why would the BCG want The Gunns? Austin & Colten in their first tag match was just 16 MONTHS ago! And in that time, they’ve won the AEW World Tag Team Championships! Fans boo but Austin says they still beat all the favorites! Acclaimed, Ricky Starks, The Hardy Boys, FTR, and even CM Punk! Fans boo that but Austin says the Gunns are the future! Colten says no, they’re the present! They’re the best team in the world! Fans chant for Punk but Austin says if you’re not done with that, they’ve got too words for ya!

But not those words. It’s #GunnsUp! Schiavone does want to say that in a couple minutes, it is Juice VS Starks in the Owen Hart Cup. Now, the BCG are barred from ringside from this- WHAT?! Since when?! Is Schiavone making this choice? No, he- No, Schiavone, no, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. White has something ot say to CM Punk! When Punik retru8ned, he had a bag of goodies. Or is it just one goody? But when you wave gold in front of White, it can be mighty, mighty tantalizing. So if that goody in the bag is gold, if that is Punk’s AEW World Heavyweight Championship…! Then White suggests you just leave that in the bag.

As for FTR, you have their attention! Dax Ax, Cash Money, or “Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear and Silly Willy Worm” as they call ’em… FTR already lost to BCG, so maybe just put those AEW World Tag Team Championships against White & Juice, and they’ll beat you again and take those from you! Then it really will be #TopGuysOut and #GunnsUp. Schiavone cues it to the back to hear from the men BCG just called out!

Backstage interview with #AbsoluteCMFTR.

Lexi Nair is with Punk, Starks, Dax & Cash. Starks is going to face Juice in just moments, a man he knows very well. Punk says to let Starks get his pump on, Punk can take it from here. Punk brings up that yes, BCG beat them last week. Congrats. But listen, you wanna know what’s in the bag? Do what MJF did: go to the shop website, buy a replica, and parade around here like you’re really champ. Punk doesn’t see White in the tournament, like Punk is and Starks is. White’s hiding behind Juice and the Gunns, acting like they’re bodyguards. Punk doesn’t need bodyguards. He has a team in FTR, who has the gold to prove it.

Cash says they’ll get to BCG but Austin & Colten are first. FTR has admitted, The Gunns are the future. But what they’ve also seen is that when it’s game 7, titles on the line, those Gunns shoot blanks. This is where the big boys play. Dax says BCG is dealing with the baddest on the school yard. And yeah, they got a win, that’s fine. But if you wanna go tonight, let’s go. Next week, let’s go. The show’s theme song says, “Saturday nights are alright for fighting.” Starks adds that the real question is, what happens now that BCG is banned from ringside? What happens to Juice when he’s all alone? Starks knows the answer and Juice doesn’t like it.

The answer is that no matter how hard Juice prays and dreams of winning, it will end up the same way when they went around the first time. Bullet Club down, Absolute Starks up! Lexi says the line for them: #TopGuysOut. Will this be an absolute certainty for Starks? Or does The Booster have some tricks up his proverbial sleeves?

Men’s Owen Hart Cup Opening Round: Ricky Starks VS Juice Robinson!

This isn’t really anything new for either man, but the stakes are higher than before. Who wins to be one step closer to being the 2023 King of Harts?

The bell rings and the two stare down. Fans rally for Starks, Juice points at the cup and says “You don’t think I’ve never won a tournament before? Starks drags himself to ropes as Collision goes picture in picture.

Juice hurries to reel Starks in and suplex! Starks writhes, Juice pushes him down and SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Juice grows annoyed and he argues the count, but the ref says it was a fair count. Juice grinds Starks down, Starks endures, and Starks fights up. But Juice wrangles him back down! Juice taunts Starks, Starks still endures, but he is fading. Juice drags Starks up as Collision returns to single picture. Juice CHOPS, JABS, repeat! Juice whips corner to corner hard and Starks hits buckles. Juice shouts “RICKY!” and clotheslines Starks down! Juice goes corner to corner and back again, CANNONBALL! Cover, TWO!!

Starks snarls at Juice, eggs him on, and fans fire up! Juice snarls at Starks, runs, and LARIATS! Starks still stays up! Starks wants more and the fans fire up more! SNAKE EYES, then TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO!! Starks is frustrated but he hurries after Juice. Juice goes to the apron, Starks drags him up, and Starks brings him through ropes. But Juice gets off the ropes to HOTSHOT Starks! Starks staggers, Juice LEG LARIATS! Cover, TWO!! Starks survives and fans rally up! Juice says he’ll end this, and he gets the legs. Juice ties them up in a TEXAS CLOVERHOLD! Starks endures and fights around!

Starks reaches out, but Juice drags him away! Juice sits deep but Starks endures! Starks fights his way forward again, ROPEBREAK! Fans fire up while Juice lets go in frustration. Starks underhooks but Juice drops and goes for the apron. Starks drags him in but Juice also brings the apron skirt. Starks stomps Juice, brings him up, but Juice RAMS Starks into the corner! Juice catches his breath before he brings Starks up. Juice HEADBUTTS, hoists Starks up top, and CHOPS! Starks ROCKS Juice! Juice CHOPS! Juice climbs, goes to the very top, SUPER STEIN- NO!! BCG runs away and fans boo, but it seems Starks has some Top Guys watching his back. Will Dax & Cash handle White & Juice soon enough? As for Starks, he is heading for a collision with old foe, Powerhouse Hobbs! Will Starks make it through this next chapter of the Book of Hobbs?

Backstage interview with Christian Cage & Luchasaurus.

Lexi Nair is with Captain Charisma and the TNT Champion, though she asks what we all want to know: Why does Christian have the belt over his shoulder? Christian says it’s because everyone saw him and his Right Hand of Destruction walk away from Collision as the new TNT Champion. And since today is Canada Day, Christian is feeling generous. But then wait, in walks Shawn Spears! What’s he looking at? He’s looking at the TNT title, and says it seems outta place. Stegosaurus, do you not see what’s going on here? Christian has Spears stop there. No more open challenges.

Right, right, that’s why Spears is here, shooting his shot. If Christian doesn’t mind, Spears wants to talk to the champ. Christian says you can’t, so what does he want? Actually, Christian shares something that’s always bothered him about Spears. And that is? Spears doesn’t seize opportunities, he’s not dangerous, and never will be. So just walk away. Spears tells Christian that the funny thing is, everyone’s capable of being dangerous. They just need to meet the right person. Spears looks at Luchasaurus as he says, “See you soon, champ.” Luchasaurus is snarling, ready for a fight, but Christian has him stand down. When and where will the Perfect 10 get his shot?

AEW TBS Championship: Kris Statlander VS Lady Frost!

While Captain Charisma doesn’t want Luchasaurus’ TNT title to be an open challenge belt, the Galaxy’s Greatest is more than okay doing that with her title. Will Kris still be champion? Or will her reign freeze over here in Canada?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if the Summer stays hot for Statlander!

The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally up, the two tie up, and Kris puts Frost in the corner. The ref counts, Kris lets off, and Frost comes back. Frost runs in, but into a DISCUS LARIAT! Fans fire up with Kris and she drags Frost up, gut wrench and tuck, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER! Cover, Kris wins!

Mama Kris is still the Galaxy’s Greatest, and she’s moving on through the summer at breakneck pace. Will she manage to overshadow Jade Cargill’s impressive inaugural run?

Backstage interview with Andrade El Idolo.

Lexi Nair is with Andrade and says that since his return, he’s in a “bit of trouble” with the House of Black. Andrade stops her there to say that he is here for his mask! The House of Black stole it from him, so Andrade wants them to listen. “Show me your face, cucarachas!” Where are you!? He needs that mask!! But on the TV, Malakai says they didn’t steal anything. The House is helping Andrade cut away his past. So until then, amigo, tranquilo. Andrade is anything but relaxed as he storms off. Will Andrade make the House of Black regret toying with this ungovernable?

Wheeler Yuta speaks.

“Kenny, when I pinned you in the main event of Double or Nothing, when I had my crowning moment, my biggest achievement to date, I thought the war between the BCC and the Elite was over. But it’s become apparent it’s not over with a victory. We haven’t truly left our scar the way we need to. Kenny, we have to break you. We have to break you emotionally, we have to break you physically, we have to break you mentally. We’re gonna end the war at Blood & Guts. It’s gonna be a surrender, because I will have decided the war myself when I end you and The Elite.” The Decoder gets a 1v1 match with The Cleaner this Wednesday on Dynamite, will he fire the first shot in this final battle?

Men’s Owen Hart Cup Opening Round: Samoa Joe VS Roderick Strong!

These two haven’t gone 1v1 in seventeen YEARS! And that means for those seventeen years, the Savior of the Backbreaker still hasn’t defeated the Samoan Submission Machine. Will Strong manage something Joe says is impossible? Or will the ROH World Television Champion be the one moving on to face CM Punk?

Speaking of Punk, he makes his way back out to ringside because he’s joining commentary for this one. Punk takes a moment to admire the Owen Hart Cup trophy, and then Strong makes his entrance, followed by Joe’s. The bell rings and Joe circles with Strong. The fans sing “Joe is gonna kill~ you~” as the two tie up. Joe wrenches, wristlocks, but Strong gets up to push through and wrench back. Joe goes to ropes, the ref counts, and Strong lets go at 4. Strong and Joe circle again and fans rally. The two tie up, Strong headlocks, but Joe powers Strong to a corner. The ref counts, Strong and Joe let off slowly.

Joe swings, Strong dodges and CHOPS! Joe snarls, but Strong dodges again to CHOP! Strong forearms and CHOPS on repeat, but Joe DECKS Strong! Punk says that’s all it takes. Joe runs but Strong CALF KICKS him down! Strong stomps Joe, but then Joe dumps Strong out. Joe builds speed, but has to stop as Strong slides in! Strong then WRECKS Joe with a dropkick! Fans fire up with Strong and he drags Joe up. Strong CHOPS Joe, Joe scowls as he staggers away. Strong CHOPS Joe again, but Joe CHOPS back! They CHOP and CHOP and the ring count climbs! Joe DECKS Strong again and fans fire up!

Punk likes that, and Joe gets Strong up to put him in the ring. Fans rally behind Joe, but Strong knees him down! Strong stomps away, sits Joe up and CHOPS him! And ROCKS him! Joe goes to a corner, Strong RAMS into him! Punk says this is what people wanna see. Strong stomps Joe, but Joe CHOPS! Strong CHOPS! Joe CHOPS! Strong CHOPS! Joe DECKS Strong! Joe brings Strong around to ROCK him again! Strong BOOTS Joe back! Fans fire up and Strong wraps on a chinlock. Joe endures, fights up, and fans rally. Joe powers Strong to ropes, then powers out of the hold, but Strong KICKS back!

Strong runs but Joe CLOBBERS him! Fans rally for “JOE! JOE! JOE!” and he has Strong in a corner. joe JABS, JABS, JABS, and Strong sits down. Punk says Joe wastes no time when there’s blood in the water, so to speak. Joe CHOPS Strong, whips corner to corner but Strong reverses. Only to run into the URENAGE! Fans fire up, Joe covers, TWO, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Joe keeps his focus as he drags Strong up. Joe throws down ELBOWS, then KICKS Strong around. Strong goes to a corner, Joe brings him up, and Joe CHOPS! Strong staggers against ropes, and Joe JABS! JABS! JABS! Joe CLUBS Strong, and Strong goes to ropes. Joe snapmares, chinlocks, and neck wrenches! Strong endures, even as Joe leans all his weight on him. Strong fights the hold, gets to his feet, but Joe throws him down by his head! Joe then sits Strong up to CHOP him on the back! And KICK him in the chest! Joe runs to drop an elbow! Cover, TWO! Strong is hanging tough but Joe keeps his focus.

Joe paces around, drags Strong up, and HEADBUTTS him back down! Strong goes to ropes, kicks back, but Joe JABS him! Joe brings Strong up, JABS and CHOPS but Strong forearms and CHOPS in return! Collision returns to single picture, Strong runs to JUMP KNEE Joe down!! Cover, ONE?!? Strong is beside himself but he brings Joe up. Strong scoops but Joe fights free. Joe KNEES Strong and Punk admits, Joe is one of the toughest men in sports. Joe shoves Strong, throws JABS and CHOPS, then brings Strong around. Joe ROCKS Strong but Strong ROCKS and kicks and CHOPS and whips.

Joe reverses to atomic drop, then BOOT Strong down! SENTON! Cover, TWO! Punk won’t take anything away from Strong, but the “Colliders” wanna see Joe VS Punk. Joe drops knees on Strong, covers, ONE!! Joe keeps on Strong with a neck wrench. Fans rally, Strong endures and reaches out. Strong gets to his feet again, but Joe again throws him down by his head! Joe mockingly applauds and fans fire up again. Joe SENTONS but misses as Strong moves! Strong and Joe rise, and Strong JAWBREAKERS! Strong goes to a corner, Joe runs in and Strong BOOTS! Strong runs to LEPAING LARIAT! Joe is still up!

Strong keeps moving, another LEAPING LARIAT! Joe is still up!? Strong runs to LEAPING LARIAT! Punk wants Strong to put some stank on it, but then Joe pokes the eyes! Joe runs, but into a DROPKICK! Down goes Joe! Strong scoops but Joe fights free again. Joe runs, into the BACKBREAKER!! Strong clutches his leg, that was a bit double-edged given how big Joe is. But Strong still hits a SICK KICK!! Cover, TWO?!? Joe survives that but Strong keeps his focus. Joe goes to a corner, Strong runs in, but Joe catches him! Joe puts Strong up top, CHOPS, and tucks him in! But Strong fights free and kicks Joe away!

Strong MISSILE DROPKICKS Joe down! Cover, TWO!! Punk would love if this was a draw or something, just so they’d have to do another match. Strong runs to ROCK, CLUB, and then shoot around, OLYMPIC SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Joe survives and Strong is frustrated. Fans rally for Strong and he gets Joe back up. Strong suplexes, but Joe wrenches out to CHOP! Joe runs, but into the JUMP KNEE! Strong wants it again, suplex but Joe suplexes first! And drops Strong into the COQUINA CLUTCH!!! Strong is caught, he’s fading out! The ref checks, Strong is DONE, Joe wins!!

Winner: Samoa Joe, by submission (advances to the next round)

Joe is still undefeated against Strong, and Punk admits the same is true in their feud. Punk says he’s in for the fight of his life, and Joe grabs a chair?! Joe wants Punk to join him, so Punk gets a chair. Security and refs rush out here, Joe backs down, having had his fun. But then Joe gets back in the ring to scoop Strong?! POWERSLAM on the chair!!! Joe sides out as Punk rushes in! Adam Cole also appears from backstage to check on his friend. Joe adds insult to injury, or perhaps just injury to injury as medics rush out to get Strong on a backboard and stretcher. Fans cheer on Strong, hoping he can recover.

Will Punk avenge Strong in the next round of the tournament? Will Cole look to get his pound of flesh regardless? Or will nothing stop the sadistic Samoa Joe from becoming King of Harts?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here, though it oddly felt undersized in some ways. Great stuff from MJF to open, and clearly Ethan Page is turning Face through his experiences with Matt Hardy. At the same time, it was a clever use how they were in Canada, so Canadians would be cheered. Great showing from Ethan, but of course MJF retains the title. And of course Miro beat whoever he was going up against tonight, but it was rather fitting that they chose someone whose nickname had to do with saints, given Miro has “turned away from God.” Miro wants after gold, I hope he gets his shot at the top title just so he can play off of MJF’s “Devil of AEW” talk.

Good promo from Christian, Luchasaurus and Spears to set up the next TNT title feud. It is rather obnoxious for Christian to hold onto the belt when he hasn’t won it, but in a way it makes him like Paul Heyman with the belt(s) Roman Reigns owns. It honestly feels like Christian should’ve won the belt in the first place, with Luchasaurus’ help,  because then you could have Luchasaurus be the gatekeeper. That is to say, Spears would have to beat Luchasaurus to get his shot at Christian, thereby “earning” it. Pretty good TBS Championship match, Frost is getting a lot of screentime between AEW and ROH, but of course Kris retained.

Really good stuff out of the Men’s Owen Hart Cup, but I have to say, if I had a dollar for every time the Owen Hart Cup entrants said promos that were basically the same, I’d have $4. The opening stuff was barely that different from what we heard last night on Rampage or last Wednesday on Dynamite. But the matches were all great. Dustin VS Hobbs was really good, but of course QTV has to get involved, which is disappointing. Hobbs should be winning this stuff all on his own, this is just paint-by-numbers Heel faction stuff. Really good promos from Bullet Club Gold and Absolute CMFTR to lead into Starks VS Juice, and a great win from Starks. FTR VS Jay ‘n’ Juice is going to be good stuff, and whoever wins could foreshadow what team wins that Blind Tag Eliminator, i.e. Heel or Face.

Great stuff in Joe VS Strong, and Punk was decent on commentary since he was focused on just relating his experiences with both guys back in ROH. Joe winning made sense, his match with Punk is going to be awesome. But then I did not expect Joe to add onto Strong like that. Strong is perhaps being written off, which is surprising in itself, but it does add some heat on Joe VS Punk next round, and makes for even a potential Joe VS Cole down the line, depending on how things turn out in Cole’s feud with MJF and Blind Tag Eliminator. As for who wins in Joe VS Punk, it feels like Punk will. And if it were me, I’d have Punk put over whoever it is on the other side. Punk doesn’t need the Owen Hart Cup, he has his bag with his world title belt that he can use to bring the Undisputed AEW World Championship story about. Hobbs and Starks definitely need this tournament win more than he does.

My Score: 8.6/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF arrives backstage.

Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…

And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?

10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!

While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?

The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and  the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cassidy kips up, the fans fire up, but Finlay sends Nick into steel steps! #BigStoke grabs Cassidy’s foot, Cash CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax puts Cassidy in the corner to tag Ciampa. FTR and the Psycho Killer mug Cassidy! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Ciampa stands Cassidy up. Cassidy blocks the chop! And he blocks another chop! The fans cheer but Ciampa kicks low and CHOPS again! The fans boo but Ciampa soaks up that heat. Ciampa drags Cassidy by a leg, turns him over, but Cassidy fights around!

Cassidy kicks and kicks but Ciampa drags him back! Cassidy turns to BOOT Ciampa away! Dax tags in and he CLOBBERS Cassidy! The fans boo but Dax flips them off. Dax whips Cassidy, runs up, but Cassidy dodges! Dax POSTS himself! Both men are down, hot tags to Cash and Nick! Nick rallies on FTR with haymakers, BLASTS Ciampa, but Cash kicks low! FTR whips, DOUBLE HIP- NO, Nick lands out, MEETING OF TEH MINDS! Then DOUBLE WHEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Nick then DROPKICKS Dax out! The Dogs run up, but Nick knuckle locks and CHOPS Finlay! Then Nick jumps over Connors, SUPERKICKS, and he goes for the corner!

Nick goes up, up, and “LUCHA LIBRE~!” FLYING ARM-DRAG RANA COMBO! The fans are thunderous and Nick tags Matt. Nick whips Finlay, Finlay reverses, but Nick goes up and over. Matt SUPERKICKS Finlay! Nick SHINING WIZARDS Connors, adds a GAMANGIRI, then The Bucks DOUBLE BULLDOG with the high-five! The fans fire up again as Matt winds up. Matt WRECKS FTR with a dropkick, then holds the way open, Nick FLIES onto FTR & Ciampa! But Connors back suplexes! Matt lands out, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Roll through, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express is getting going, and Finlay joins the ride! DOUBLE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

The fans are electric and it’s not just the volt green! Time for a SUPERKICK PARTAY~! Wait, Stokely grabs a foot each! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Stoke can’t even trip The Bucks up. The Bucks drag Stoke in! Stoke pleads for mercy, but FTR runs up! The Bucks dodge, mule kick, then SUPERKICK for Dax! SUPERKICK for Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS on The Dogs! Then FTR is sent into The Dogs before DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Ciampa runs up to waistlock but Nick switches. Ciampa BOOTS Matt away, ELBOWS Nick, but Matt dodges, PSYCHO KNEE into Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ciampa!

The fans fire up again, and The Bucks see C&C. They point to Christian, and the fans cheer! Christian steps in, the ref reprimands but Cope argues with the ref. This distraction lets Christian LOW BLOW Cash! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Cash! Christian covers, TWO! Cash survives, the fans boo, but Christian rains down fists while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Christian puts Cash in the corner to CHPO, CHOP, and then rain down fists! Christian goes past TEN, maybe to fifteen, then stops. Cash sputters, Stoke talks trash, but Christian grabs Stoke! Cash CLUBS Christian, Ciampa HOTSHOTS the bad arm, and Ciampa hurries to tag in. Ciampa drags Christian around, SLAMS the bad arm off the mat, then SLAMS the arm again! Ciampa POSTS Christian, and Christian falls to the apron. The ref keeps his eyes on the rest of the team so they stay back. Ciampa goes out, and he SWINGS the bad arm into the post! Christian scrambles away, clutching the arm, but Ciampa taunts Cope with a wave.

Ciampa tags Connors, Connors tags Finlay, and The Dogs stomp away on Christian. Finlay clamps onto the bad hand, bends the fingers, then JAMS them into the mat! The ref reprimands but Finlay anchors Christian while he tags in Dax. Dax CHOPS Christian, DECKS him, then taunts Cope and The Bucks. The Bucks rally the fans, Cope coaches Christian up, but Dax brings Christian around. Christian blocks a shot to hit back, but then Dax kicks low! The fans fire up as Christian just THROWS Cassidy out onto FTR! Christian then goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES The Dogs!

Cope calls out a shot, runs, but into a SHATTER MACHINE!! FTR snatches Cope outta nowhere, Connors makes the cover, but Cassidy breaks it! The fans fire up as now FTR has Cassidy surrounded. Winners: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks, by pinfall

Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?

Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.

They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.

Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.

Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!

Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!

Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?

Ricochet & The Demand respond.

They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.

These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS BK Westbrook!

JetSpeed has a lot of momentum on their side, and as stated last week at Fairway to Hell, they’re looking to grab up all the gold they can. Will Speedball keep on rolling towards his own golden opportunity? Or will #Supastud prove his own worth?

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two step up. Bailey bows in respect, offers a handshake, but Westbrook goes to roll Bailey up! Bailey stays on his feet, then steps over to sit down on a cover, TWO! Westbrook ducks a Penalty Kick, avoids the moonsault, and the sweep! Bailey dodges, Westbrook tiger feints through the ropes, but Bailey handsprings up and over! The fans fire up as Bailey ducks an elbow to whip. Westbrook goes up, around, but kinda fumbles his tumble. The fans cheer and jeer him for his attempt, but Westbrook blocks the boot! Westbrook FLIPS Bailey, springboards in, but Bailey dodges! TIME ADVENTURE!

Bailey pushes Westbrook down, goes up the corner, and the fans fire up for the ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: Mike Bailey, by pinfall

Another fast ‘n’ furious finish, and Bailey’s on a hot streak! But now, the other side of JetSpeed looks to keep it up! But just who is Kevin Knight defending the TNT Championship against? It’s… BRIAN CAGE!? The Machine finally returns to action, and he has the Don Callis Family with him! Will Cage be able to ground Knight and take this title back to the family?

AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kevin Knight w/ “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Brian Cage w/ The Don Callis Family!

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who betta!

The bell rings, Cage runs up, but Knight dodges! Knight fires haymakers, Cage shoves him, but Knight dodges. Knight CHPOS, but Cage doesn’t budge! Cage makes the pecs dance, so Knight CHOPS again! The fans cheer as Cage eggs Knight on. Knight urns, leaps, but into Cage’s arms! Cage uses Knight to do curls, then THROWS knight! Knight lands out, RAMS Cage, but Cage comes back! Knight RAMS Cage again, but it’s still not enough! Knight tries a bigger SHOULDER TACKLE, but Cage stays standing! Knight runs one more time, ducks ‘n’ dodges, SATELLITE- NO, Cage stops the DDT! Cage THROWS Knight away!

Knight staggers, Cage SUPERKICKS him down! “Who betta than Cage?!” The fans fire up as Cage storms up on Knight, stands him up, and bumps him off buckles. Cage RAMS into Knight, stands him up, then RAMS again! The ref counts, Cage CHOPS, and the fans cheer. Bailey rallies the fans but Archer coaches Cage, and Cage whips Knight hard into the corner! The fans are torn as Cage hauls Knight up. Cage ROCKS Knight, CHOPS him, then CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref counts, Cage stops at 4, then Cage stalks Knight. Cage stands Knight up, whips him to the corner, then runs in, only for Knight to BOOT! Cage still LARIATS!

Cage hauls Knight up, whips him to ropes, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight DUMPS Cage out, then DROPKICKS him down! Cage sputters, the fans fire up, and Knight builds speed to DIVE! But he bounces off Cage! Cage then fireman’s carries, APRON F5! Knight sputters but Cage goes up the steps to soak up cheers and jeers, all while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cage refreshes the ring count, drags Knight up again, and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight writhes, Cage refreshes the count again, then he whips Knight into barriers! Knight practically falls into the laps of the front row! But Cage brings Knight around to CHOP him down! Cage soaks up the cheers and jeers before he brings Knight around again. Cage SMACKS Knight off the apron, then puts him in the ring. Cage storms into the ring, drags Knight by his legs, and ties the legs up into a TEXAS CLOVERLEAF! Knight endures as Cage sits deep! Knight powers up, fights his way forward, and he reaches to the ROPEBREAK!

The ref counts, Cage lets go at 4, but Cage brings Knight up. Knight CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS, but Cage still doesn’t back down. Knight fires more shots, but Cage UPPERCUTS him down! AEW reveals the Men’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Brackets!

This year’s tournaments will go through Double or Nothing, and the finals will coincide with Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday, June 28th in San Jose, California! At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. And in the Owen Hart Tournament, I will prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m a better wrestler than you. I am the FUTURE world champion!

That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.

Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.

Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!

Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

BREAKING NEWS for next week!

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!

Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.

Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!

MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.

So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?

AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!

Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!

The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!

The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.

But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?

Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!

The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!

The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!

Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.

The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!

Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.

They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!

Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.

Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.

Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.

And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.

My Score: 9/10

Davis stops Jack at 5 as he lifts him off the corner! But Jack fights with more fists, and he RANAS Davis away!

Jack runs up, Davis pops him up to the apron, but Jack ENZIGIRIS! Jack goes up, up, but Davis slips under the jump! Davis runs up, but Jack dodges! Davis tumbles up and out of the ring, Jack goes up top, ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Direct hit and the fans fire up! Jack waves hi tot he camera, then he puts Davis back in the ring. Then LARIATS him down! The fans boo but Davis refreshes the ring count.

Davis storms over to Jack while the fans rally up. Davis drags Jack up, brings him around, and CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” as that one echoes out. Davis snarls as he stares into the camera, then he drags Jack up. Davis puts Jack in the ring, rolls in after him, and stalks Jack to ropes. The fans rally for Jack but Davis bends Jack back against the ropes! The ref counts, Davis stops at 4, but Jack CHOPS! And CHOPS! Davis eggs Jack on, so Jack CHOPS! Davis CHOPS Jack down! The fans rally for Jack but Davis is on him again. Davis whips Jack to ropes, but Jack slides under! JAWBREAKER! Davis wobbles, Jack goes to ropes, but Davis runs up. Jack BOOTS Davis, slips outside and ROCKS Davis again, then slingshots, but into a FOREARM! Davis then runs to BLAST Jack off the apron! The fans boo Davis but he soaks it up while Collision goes to break.

The ref checks Jack but Davis goes out to fetch him. Davis grabs a towel to CHOKE Jack with it! The ref reprimands, Davis stops, but then he sits Jack up on the railing. Davis CHOPS Jack into the crowd! Davis leaves Jack behind while the ring count climbs. Jack drags himself up while the fans cheer him on, and Jack gets help getting up and over the barriers. Jack stumbles back to the ring, safe at 8! Davis storms up and tells the fans this is on them. But Jack dodges the chop, to SMACK Davis! And ROCK him again, and again, and again! Davis just scoops Jack to SLAM him down! And SENTON! Davis roars while Jack sputters on the mat!

Davis stands on Jack for a cocky cover, TWO! Davis kicks at Jack, almost toying with him now.

Jack sits up to fire body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Davis CLUBS Jack. Jack UPPERCUTS Davis! Davis KNEES Jack low! Davis whips, but Jack hits the COMEBACKER! It just bounces off Davis’ barrel chest! Davis hauls Jack up, but Jack slips free to fire forearms! Davis shoves Jack, Jack ducks ‘n’ dodges, FLYING FOREARM! Davis wobbles, then drops to a knee! Cover, TWO!! Davis survives and Jack is rather surprised.

Jack goes to a corner, and says time to make a sacrifice! Jack runs in, but Davis LARIATS Jack first! Davis THROWS Jack to a corner, runs side to side, SLIDING FOREARM! Davis puts Jack on the ropes, runs, and- JACK RANAS! Cover, TWO! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK! And then SUPERK- NO, Davis blocks the third to shove and DISCUS LARIAT! Then SNAP PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO?!? Jack survives again and the fans fire back up! Callis coaches Davis as he drags Jack up.

Davis brings Jack up in the corner with a gut wrench! The fans freak out for the SUPER- STEINER!! Jack turns things around on Davis just in time! The fans are thunderous but Callis rushes to ringside! The fans all boo Callis, but wait! RICOCHET slides into the ring! Still dressed in his golf course attire, he CRACKS Jack with his nine iron!! Ricochet hides, Davis deadlifts Jack, COUNT TO PAIN!! Cover, DAVIS WINS!

Winner: Mark Davis, by pinfall (NEW AEW National Champion)

Talk about a handicap! Callis AND Ricochet gave Davis quite a considerable one, and now Davis has his first singles title in AEW! The Jurassic Express National Tour has just been run off the road, but will Jack be able to get his revenge?

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.

He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Backstage interview with Don Callis, Mark Davis and Ricochet.

Renee Paquette is with the Jackal, Dunkzilla and the Bald Eagle as she says she was going to congratulate Davis on the title win, but after Jack putting out that news, what is their reaction? Callis says he’s thrilled! Jack just gifted him his ultimate fantasy! A chance to beat up Jericho, The Bucks AND Kenny, all on one night? Callis would’ve paid good money for that, and Jack, you dumbass, just gave it away from free! Ricochet says The Don Callis Family must be joining The Demand for Stadium Stampede. Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Ricochet says playing golf with Tony Khan has really improved his swing, so see you all there. Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: The Divine Dominion VS Ruthie Slay & Rachel Ley!

Megan Bayne & Lena Kross are so dominant, they don’t even think this match is going to last five minutes! But while there’s a time limit, will there be no limit to how devastating the Megasus & Aussie Amazon can be? Or will Slay & Ley manage to survive the day?

The teams sort out, Lena starts against Slay, and the clock is ticking! Slay DROPKICKS, but Lena doesn’t budge! Ley ENZIGIRIS, but Lena still doesn’t flinch! Ley & Slay double kick, but Lena blocks the double whip! Lena whips them, ELBOWS Slay and SPIN-OUT SIDEWALK SLAMS Ley! Then she scoops Slay to SLAM her onto Ley! Lena drags Ley up, whips her to the corner, then runs up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Tag to Megan and the Divine Dominion run side to side! BOOT from Lena, BOOT from Megan! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! Ley tumbles, the fans cheer, and Megan tags Lena back in. Lena storms up on Ley to GERMAN SUPLEX again!

The fans cheer as Lena tags Megan back in. We’ve hit 90 seconds, but it feels like forever for Ley as Megan GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Megan kips up, then she stalks Ley. Megan eggs Ley on, slaps her around, then drags her up. Megan fireman’s carries, but Slay manages to tag in! Slay runs up, but Megan scoops her! FALL AWAY SLAM SAMOAN DROP COMBO! They’ve made it two minutes but that might be all! Tag to Lena, she and Megan get Slay up, DIVINE INTERVENTION! Cover, Divine Dominion wins!

Winners: The Divine Dominion, by pinfall (denies Slay & Ley a title opportunity)

Two minutes and 15 seconds is all Slay & Ley got, will any team last even that long? Or will the Divine Dominion continue to dominate AEW until the end of time?

BREAKING NEWS for Double or Nothing!

The Triangle of Madness may have misted Persephone and injured Alex Windsor, but that only heaps on more trouble for the champion! Thekla must now defend her AEW Women’s World Championship in a FATAL 4 WAY! Thekla VS Jamie Hayter VS Kris Statlander VS Hikaru Shida, is The Toxic Spider about to get squashed? Or will she need her Sisters of Sin now more than ever?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

The annual tradition is back! The 2026 Owen Hart Memorial Tournament begins, with the brackets for both men’s and women’s divisions to be announced on Wednesday! Who makes the cut? And who will become the King & Queen of Harts?

Don Callis speaks, again.

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.

“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.

Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?

“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!

This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Grey is already starting trouble as he pushes Bailey. The ref backs him off, then the bell rings. Grey runs up, but into a BOOT! Bailey then PENALTY KICKS, STANDING KNEE-SAULT, then Bailey waits on Grey. Grey ducks the buzzsaw and bails out! The fans boo but Bailey TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Grey and the fans fire up! Bailey daps it up with The Jet, then he climbs up the corner. But Grey goes after him! They brawl up top, Grey fires a flurry, but Bailey fires back! Bailey SHOVES Grey down, takes aim, but Grey hits the ropes! Bailey is tripped up onto his speedballs, but Grey dribbles him off the buckles!

Grey CLUBS Bailey into a Tree of Woe, then soaks up the heat before he stomps Bailey! Grey tells Bailey to stay down but Bailey grabs  that leg! Bailey uses that to drag himself back up, and he ROCKS Grey again! Bailey dribbles Grey off buckles, then HEADBUTTS him! Grey falls, Bailey takes aim, ULTIMATE WEAPON! Cover, Bailey wins!

Winner: “Speedball” Mike Bailey, by pinfall

A fast win for Speedball, and Knight gets the mic. he says he likes that! Speedball is red hot right now. And though The Jet didn’t get two belts on Wednesday, he’s still the Face of TNT. Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

AEW World Championship No Count Outs Match: Darby Allin VS PAC!

Anticipating how wild this one can get given the nature of their grudge, AEW decided to remove some of the obstacles standing in their way. They can’t do anything they want, but they can definitely go anywhere they want here in the SoFi Center! But will Darby even up the career series between them? Or will it be 3-1 in favor of The Bastard?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who takes this belt to Dynamite!

The bell rings and the fans rally behind Darby. Darby hops outside already, and he goes around the crowd to be on the golfing green! This is No Count Outs, so he wants to take full advantage of it already! He dares Pac to join him, so Pac heads over to the green! They fire hands on the rough and the fans fire up! Darby ducks, fires hands then HEADBUTTS Pac down! Darby brings Pac up but Pac BACKDROPS Darby! Pac then brings Darby closer to the bunker! Pac suplexes, Darby fights free, and he fires hands! Darby runs up, CODE RED into the sand trap! The fans go nuts seeing what is surely the first one of those ever!

Pac gets himself out of the sand and ends up on the fairway. Darby pursues, runs up, and ROCKS Pac1 they’re near another sand trap, and Darby SHOTGUNS Pac into the sand! The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this madness a reality! Darby goes after Pac, but Pac throws sand in Darby’s eyes! Pac then hauls Darby up to BELLY2BELLY SUPLEX Darby into the sand trap! Darby sputters, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER! The ref reprimands, this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere! But fans know “This is Awesome!” as Pac makes Darby suffer! Darby sputters again as Pac lets him go, then shakes out the sand in his boots.

Pac drags Darby up with a headlock, but then decides to fireman’s carry! And gorilla press to THROW Darby back into the bunker! The fans boo but Pac soaks up that heat. Darby sputters and coughs while Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby sputters as he sits up, but Pac brings him back around. Pac brings Darby around, dumps him down, and soaks up more heat. Pac then brings Darby along the fairway, CLUBS him on the neck, and stalks him as they return to the crowd. They then return to ringside, then the ring itself, and Pac covers, TWO! Darby toughs it out, but Pac stalks him to the corner. Pac uncovers a crossbar before he stands Darby up. Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Pac tiles the tag rope to Darby’s chain necklace! Darby can’t get free before Pac BOOTS him! The ref reprimands, but Darby SPITS at Pac! Pac takes that defiance and BOOTS Darby again!

Pac then has Darby’s legs, and YANKS him from the corner! The tag rope breaks and Darby flounders around. Pac whips to then BACKDROP Darby 450 degrees! Pac then builds up speed, but Darby avoids the lariat! The fans fire up as Darby slingshots back in and dragon sleepers for the SCORPION DEATH DROP! Cover, TWO! Pac and Darby are both down while the fans rally up again. Darby crawls to a corner, climbs up top, and he watches Pac rise. Pac turns around, but he manages to trip Darby up first! Pac then climbs up after Darby, hauls him up, and SUPER DUPER FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and the fans fire up again!

Pac frowns while Darby flounders out of the ring. The fans rally for Darby while Pac takes his time going to the outside. Pac looks under the ring, and he brings out a table! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Darby avoids disaster, and Pac is somehow still in this after his crash landing! Darby puts Pac in, trips him, and steps through!

The fans fire up as Darby steps over, SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! Pac endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep! Pac fights, claws, reaches out, and powers his way forward! ROPEBREAK! Darby lets Pac go, and Pac waves to the back. Well, of course The Death Riders are here! Darby spots Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir storming down the aisle, but then Pac CLOBBERS him! A distraction tactic is good enough as Pac now turns the proverbial tables. Then he signals for them to get something, and they bring out another table! The fans chant, “On The Green!” but Pac doesn’t care about that. He scoops Darby to go up the steel steps!

The fans boo as Pac tucks Darby in, TOMBSTONE on the steel steps! The fans go nuts as Darby flops to the floor! Wait, wait, wait, now The Death Riders have STACKED tables?! Pac smirks as he brings Darby back up, and he fireman’s carries Darby to bring him over. Darby goes to the backstage area while Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac carries Darby all the way around to the backstage area, because this is the only place to get upstairs! Pac SMACKS Darby off a wall on the way to the stairs, and the ref reprimands while Pac scares off curious fans. Pac drags Darby up the stairs with a headlock, and they go to the upper deck! Pac brings Darby past the nice bar and lounge area, the ref and Death Riders making sure fans don’t get too close. Pac SMACKS Darby off another wall, then drags Darby through this VIP seating area to go to the balcony. Pac stomps Darby to keep him down, then drags him to the balcony railing! And lo and behold, those stacked tables are right there!

The ref reprimands and the fans are freaking out already, but Pac is looking to toss Darby! Darby clings to the railing but Pac CLUBS him. Pac then drags Darby up, but Darby fires body shots! Fairway to Hell returns to single picture as Darby fights desperately! Darby CLAWS Pac’s back, but Marina shouts at Darby! The ref keeps her back, but that lets Pac LOW BLOW Darby! The Problem continues to be just that, but also the insurance policy for the Death Riders! Pac stands Darby up, and THROWS him off!! Darby crashes down through the tables!!! The fans lose their minds all over again while Pac hurries to go back downstairs!

AEW medical staff is already checking Darby as he’s down in the wreckage, but Pac says screw that! He fireman’s carries Darby and puts him back in the ring! Pac covers, TWO!!! Darby survives and the fans are thunderous! Pac and The Death Riders are in shock! Pac falls back to a corner as he shakes his head. Pac argues with the ref, but 2.99 still isn’t 3! The fans rally for Darby, but Pac storms over to him. Pac looms over Darby, Yuta slides a chair into the ring, but the ref snatches it away! Only for Marina to slide the title belt in! Pac takes aim while Darby rises, but then Darby springs to life! Pac has seen a ghost, or maybe a zombie!

Pac winds up, but Darby LOW BLOWS! And BELT SHOTS!! Darby gets Pac in place, goes up top, COFFIN DROP!! Cover, DARBY WINS!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)

Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.

I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.

Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.

Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.

My Score: 8.8/10
