Komander could not avenge Fenix and he could not stop Moxley! Will the Maniac take the International Championship from whoever meets him in All Out?
Orange Cassidy speaks.
“I don’t know how many title defenses I have done. It really doesn’t matter to me, because I’m not gonna stop. I’m gonna keep defending this International Championship when I have to, where I have to. You’d think after one of the craziest matches I’ve ever been in in my entire life, in front of a ton of people in Wembley Stadium, you’d think I’d stop, you’d think I’d take a break. But that’s not what I do. If I survive this match tonight against Penta, I wrestle Jon Moxley this Sunday at All Out. Jon, I’m not that same Orange Cassidy that started four years ago. And I’m gonna show you why.”
AEW shares footage from after All In on Sunday.
Brandon Cutler was there vlogging for The Young Bucks after their defeat against FTR. He brought up that five years ago, the Bucks gave us the original All In, and tonight, they had a devastating loss. What’s going through their minds? Nick Jackson says this was disappointing, duh. This was supposed to be their big night, they were supposed to get those belts back. And speaking of, here come Dax & Cash. FTR apologizes for interrupting, just want to know why the Bucks refused to shake their hands out there. Matt says there was 80 thousand people out there, it was supposed to be different, Matt lost his cool.
Nick says the Bucks put their hearts and souls into today’s match, thinking they were gonna get those belts back so they’re disappointed. Matt adds this is their show, they created it, and they lost on it. FTR understands, just wanted to show respect. Yes, the Bucks do owe them that much. FTR were the better men tonight. But then wait, Bullet Club Gold barges in, shouting and hollering how they won their match tonight. This is now the Winner’s Room, so congrats to FTR, but what’re the Bucks doing back here? They should superkick rocks, know what they’re saying? Matt asks them what they even want.
Juice says they’re on top of the world, and Jay White says they just beat The Golden Elite, Kenny, Kota & Hangman, and well, the Bucks also lost, so it seems THE Elite isn’t doing so hot right now. Might need some new friends. Cute little four man thing going here. White counts it, four and four, so Dax, think really hard. Maybe they can do something with this. Dax says yeah, he gets it. They can do this next week. Cash agrees, let’s go from #TopGuysOut to 4v4 at All Out. The Bucks like that, too. Everyone is in agreement, White tells them all to enjoy losing together in Chicago while the Bang Bang Gang stands tall.
And so it is official! In an epic 8 Man Tag, it will be FTR & The Bucks joining forces against Jay, Juice & The Gunns! Will Bullet Club Gold earn them some shots at the gold? Or will FTR get in on that Superkick Party?
Backstage interview with Toni Storm.
Renee Paquette is with a distraught Lightning From Down Under, and says at All In London, we crowned a NEW AEW Women’s World Champion in Saraya. However, not without some dissention among the Outcasts. Toni is clearly upset, and she says don’t get her wrong, she is happy for Saraya, Lord knows she is. But Toni says Saraya went “completely off script” and forgot her part in Toni’s performance! Now Toni is here with no title, no friends, no nothing! Saraya just let Toni, hates her, can’t trust her. Toni can’t trust Shida, will never trust Britt, and the ref should be SACKED! Safe to say everything at Wembley went “tits up!”
Toni says she can’t calm down, she can’t trust anyone, she doesn’t know what to do! She throws her shoes at Renee! There is a storm raging inside Toni, what will she do now?
Chris Jericho is here!
Chicago sings along with Judas as The Ocho makes his way to the ring, also coming off his own All In loss to Will Ospreay. Jericho has a mic and hears the fans cheering him on. Jericho says thank you to Chicago, and he says they should be happy and festive after only a few days ago, we enjoyed the spectacle and majesty that was AEW All In at Wembley. One of the greatest weekends in his career. Fozzy had a great show on Friday, and then Sunday, the biggest wrestling show ever, with over 81 THOUSAND tickets sold! And that’s a shoot, baby! Then having a match with Ospreay, one of Jericho’s favorites, it is a show he will never forget.
But there is something Jericho wishes to forget, and that is how he treated his “brother,” Sammy Guevara, after the match. Jericho wants to say something to him to get it off his chest, so please, Sammy, join us out here. The Spanish God obliges and fans cheer as Sammy makes his way to the ring. Sammy joins Jericho with a mic of his own and the fans chant for Sammy. Jericho agrees, cheer him on! Jericho says he isn’t happy with how he treated Sammy. He was upset after losing to Ospreay, and never should’ve taken that out on Sammy. Sammy has been there since the start, always had Jericho’s back, Jericho was just frustrated.
Jericho didn’t know if Sammy did everything he could on his end to help Jericho, but watching back, Jericho saw, as he puts on the tron, we saw what Sammy did with the bat while Ospreay was in the Walls of Jericho. That’s textbook sports entertainer, lie, cheat ‘n’ steal, and Jericho apologizes for not thinking Sammy did what he could. Jericho apologizes for pushing him and walking away, and then offers a handshake. Fans cheer, and Sammy looks at the hand. Fans chant “HUG IT OUT!” and Sammy shakes Jericho’s hand. Sammy says he told Jericho he always has Jericho’s back, that little shove won’t break them up. And they hug!
Fans cheer and Jericho thanks Sammy for that, he feels so much better. But he’s just stuck replaying that match over and over in his head, thinking, “What could I have done to win that match? Maybe I should’ve zigged instead of zagging.” Maybe a roll-up, pulled some tights, maybe Sammy could’ve hit Ospreay even harder, or- Wait, whoa. Chris, say that last part again. Rolled him up? No, the other part. Oh, uh, Sammy hitting harder? Yeah, that. Funny cuz when Sammy watched it back, he thought maybe if Jericho hit him a little harder with the Judas Effect, then Jericho would’ve won. Maybe.
Jericho wants this to not be insulting, it’s just when Jericho asks Sammy to do something, it doesn’t always turn out how Jericho envisioned it. Oh, well how did Jericho envision it? Was it Sammy leaving his pregnant wife, Tay Melo, at home in Orlando, flying to London and having Jericho’s back? Well, no, for Jericho, it was Sammy leaving his pregnant wife, Tay Melo, at home in Orlando, flying to London and being part of the biggest wrestling show in history in front of 81,000+, something those who didn’t get to go would’ve killed for! Yes, Sammy agrees there, a lot of guys would’ve loved to have been on All In.
And so Sammy got to thinking, maybe, if he wasn’t so worried about Jericho, maybe Sammy could’ve been on the card. Well, maybe if Sammy continues to follow Jericho’s advice and do what he tells him, then maybe Sammy will get on All In 2024. Yes, Sammy will make sure to follow all Jericho’s advice and learn how not to lose on the biggest show AEW’s ever done. Oof… Jericho says maybe if Sammy follows Jericho’s advice, Sammy won’t lose the next time he has a title match for the AEW World Championship against MJF, like he did earlier this year. Well, that’s funny, Mr. AEW, because four years ago, Jericho won that title right here in Chicago!
Fans cheer that, and Jericho says yes, it was in this very arena! But then what happened? 24 hours later… Jericho lost that title outside a steakhouse, right in Jacksonville, Florida! Some champion you were, Mr. Ocho! The two get face to face and fans are riled up, but Jericho has everyone hold on. Let’s not say anything they’re gonna regret. This is Jericho & Guevara! They’ve been day one in AEW from the very first episode of Dynamite! Let’s get back to what we do best! Having each other’s back, not throwing barbs, and reunite Le Sex Gods to become AEW World Tag Team Champions! Fans are a bit torn on that.
But Jericho says next week, Dynamite, Le Sex Gods, road to the tag titles! What does Sammy say? Sammy hugs it out with Jericho! Jericho says boo all you want, NEW tag champs right here! Will Jericho & Sammy climb up the ranks to get right at FTR? Or is this friendship hanging on by a thread?
The Blackpool Combat Club talks backstage.
We can’t quite hear what Moxley is saying to Wheeler Yuta, but we know from him slapping his own forearm, he wants Yuta to SMASH Eddie Kingston. Moxley then turns around to look at the camera, and he speaks up. “In the main event tonight, the International Championship will be on the line. And at All Out this weekend, I will face the winner. Now what do Penta, Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley have in common? Well, the three of us, we’re not so much for the bark. Everybody in this business, all across this sport, so full of it nowadays. Everybody’s got a belt, everybody’s got a catchphrase, everybody’s got a hashtag. We’re not really about that.
“It’s not about bark. The wrestler who leaves Chicago this weekend with the International Championship will be the wrestler with the biggest bite.” Moxley leads the BCC away, will he and Yuta bring gold of their own to the club?
NJPW Strong Openweight Championship: Eddie Kingston VS Wheeler Yuta!
He may not have won the G1 Climax, he may not have won in Stadium Stampede, but Eddie still has gold around his waist! Will Eddie finish what was started in Wembley? Or will The Decoder dethrone the Mad King?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is truly NJPW Strong!
The bell rings and the two rush in! They tie up, go around, and Eddie puts Yuta in a corner. Yuta turns it around, the ref counts and fans chant for “F HIM UP, EDDIE, F HIM UP!” Eddie powers his way back, clinches with Yuta, fights for control, and Yuta goes for a leg. Eddie holds that off, they end up in another corner, and Yuta SLAPS Eddie! Fans boo but Eddie takes the bandage off his head. Eddie swings, Yuta dodges and goes up, but Eddie CHOPS him! Yuta BOOTS back, gets the bad arm, ARMBAR DDT! Fans boo but Yuta stands on the bad arm, then BITES the other one! The ref reprimands and Yuta lets off.
Fans boo but Yuta soaks up heat. The BCC is watching backstage as Yuta wraps the bad arm around ropes! The ref counts, Yuta lets off at 4 and fans boo more. Yuta CHOPS Eddie, but Eddie CHOPS back! The bad arm hurts, though! Yuta wrenches that arm to an ELBOW BREAKER! Yuta whips, Eddie reverses and knees low! Eddie reels Yuta in but Yuta wrenches free to hit a CODE BREAKER to the arm! Cover, ONE!! Eddie is tough but Yuta knees on the bad arm! Eddie CHOPS from below, fans rally for him, but Yuta drops knees on the arm! Yuta paces around while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Yuta grabs the bad arm, twists the wrist, and rips off the bandages. Yuta flexes, then throws the bandage away. Yuta throws Eddie out of the ring, goes out after him, and wrenches the bad arm to another ELBOW BREAKER! Yuta then hammerlocks the arm to POST the shoulder! Eddie staggers to railing but Yuta storms over. Eddie CHOPS him away! But that hurts the arm, too! Yuta pursues Eddie into the ring, and SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Yuta keeps on Eddie with a motorcycle stretch, knee digging into Eddie’s back. Eddie endures, fans rally up, and Eddie fights up. Eddie turns things but Yuta turns them back!
Yuta brings Eddie down to his knees, pulls on the arms more, but Eddie fights up! Yuta digs his head into Eddie’s back but Eddie endures and fights up. Yuta wrenches the arm to another ELBOW BREAKER! Yuta throws hands, has Eddie in a corner, and he BITES Eddie’s forehead! The ref counts, Yuta lets off, and Yuta bumps Eddie off buckles! And again! And again! Eddie swings but falls over! Yuta mockingly says okay then, and he rope-a-dopes. Yuta then stomps Eddie against ropes, and has him back in the corner. Yuta bumps Eddie off buckles again, CHOPS him, then soaks up the heat.
Yuta gets fans riled up as Dynamite returns to single picture. Yuta runs in, Eddie blocks the monkey flip, and then puts Yuta up top. Eddie CLOBBERS Yuta off the top! Yuta falls to the floor and fans fire up! Eddie builds speed!? And he DIVES to take Yuta out at the ramp! Chicago is thunderous and Eddie puts Yuta back in the ring. Yuta scrambles to a corner, Eddie storms in after him and clotheslines! Eddie fires off MACHINE GUN CHOPS! Fans fire up and Eddie just reloads to BACKHAND, then EXPLODER! Cover, TWO! Yuta is hanging tough but Eddie shakes out the bad arm. Eddie drags Yuta up and takes aim, but Yuta blocks the Uraken!
Yuta ROLLING ELBOWS, but Eddie PELES! Yuta rewinds and gets around Eddie to GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Fans fire up for Eddie but Yuta smirks. Yuta goes to the apron, then a corner. Yuta climbs, SPLASH onto knees! Eddie then gets Yuta for a SAIDO! Cover, TWO!! Yuta shows his toughness but Eddie just drags him back up. Eddie half nelsons but Yuta fights the lift! Yuta has Eddie down, but Eddie fires up! Eddie stands, Yuta ROCKS him, ROLLING ELBOWS, and then runs, but into a HALF ‘N’ HALF!! Fans fire up as Yuta stands, into the URAKEN!! Yuta rises?! So Eddie URAKENS again!! Cover, Eddie wins!!
Winner: Eddie Kingston, by pinfall (still NJPW Strong Openweight Champion)
The Decoder could not solve Eddie Kingston, but here comes Claudio! Eddie dares the ROH World Champion to do something, but the Swiss Superman completely ignores him to help Yuta to the back. Will Eddie have to make Claudio acknowledge him once and for all?
AEW shares more footage from after All In on Sunday.
MJF was icing off after the epic day he and Adam Cole had. And speaking of, Cole walks in and sits down. Cole congrats MJF but MJF cuts him off. Cole almost broke MJF’s neck six different times, so as much as MJF loves Cole, he wrestled more in three months than in the entirety of his career. Then that “mark,” Tony Khan, just said there’ll be a battle royal on Rampage to decide who faces MJF & Cole for the ROH World Tag Team Championships at All Out in Chicago. And on top of all that, there will be some tournament to determine who faces MJF for the Triple B at Grand Slam, September 20th, get your tickets now.
MJF is exhausted, needs a break, he wants to go to Paris, eat a baguette, bang some Ring Rats, then meet Cole in Chi-Town for a deep dish, hit a Kangaroo Kick and the #DoubleClizliz. How’s that sound to Cole? Cole chuckles and says that sounds great. If anyone’s earned some time off, it’s MJF. MJF and Cole shake hands and Cole tells MJF to rest up. Ain’t no rest for the wicked, but who will be winning some golden tickets to All Out this Friday?
Backstage interview with Sammy Guevara.
Renee is with the Spanish God and brings up Jericho’s apology and how Le Sex Gods want the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Quite a turn of events for them recently, huh? Sammy says yeah, he and Chris are back on the same page and- Don Callis walks in. He apologizes for interrupting, but he saw that out there. It’s gotta be hard being Jericho’s friend, right? Callis has been there. But he just wants to ask Sammy, “Don’t you find it challenging having to deal with a sociopath like that?” Callis also heard Sammy & Tay are expecting, so that’s great news. Congrats! Yes, thanks, Don, get your hands off him. And stop talking.
Sammy knows exactly what this is about. Callis tries to talk but Sammy tells him to stop, what’d he just say? Sammy has a family, he didn’t leave them to come to Chicago and talk to Callis. Sammy’s family is none of Callis’s business. So get lost! Callis says fair enough and leaves, but will the Don Callis Family look to sabotage what Jericho still has left?
BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!
Well, as MJF said, there is an ROH World Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Battle Royal! Former champions Aussie Open join the Gates of Agony, the Hardy Boyz, The Outrunners, The Righteous, The Dark Order’s John Silver & Alex Reynolds, The Gates of Agony, Best Friends, Action Andretti & Darius Martin, The Wingmen’s Peter Avalon & Ryan Nemeth, and the former Jericho Appreciation Society’s Matthew Menard & Angelo Parker! Who head for Chicago to face #BetterThanYouBaybay?
Then, a women’s tag match as Skye Blue & Willow Nightingale join forces against Anna Jay & Taya Valkyrie! Will Chicago’s hometown hero and the Babe with the Power triumph over the Queenslayer and La Wera Loca? Plus, Hangman Page gets back in action against “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith! Will there be #CowboySh*t going down in Chicago?
BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Dynamite!
As MJF also said, the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament begins! Eight men yet to be named will battle it out, and at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 20th in Arthur Ashe Stadium, the tournament winner will face MJF for the AEW World Championship! Who will be in the bracket and head for Triple B?
Adam Cole is here!
Fans cheer one half of the NEW ROH World Tag Team Champions as he heads to the ring. Cole is now an ROH Triple Crown Winner, even though part of him wishes he was a double champion with the world title on his waist. For now, Cole goes to the ring and fans join in on the “BOOM!” and the “ADAM COLE BAYBAY!” and then Cole asks them, “Who’s ready for Story Time with Adam Cole Baybay?” Cole says one of the greatest stories ever told was this past Sunday, “the greatest professional wrestling event of all time,” All In London. And to everyone who was there live, to everyone who watched around the world, thank you for making that the most special night of his entire life! Seriously!
Fans cheer, and Cole says he and MJF became your NEW ROH World Tag Team Champions, and in the main event, Cole challenged for the AEW World Championship. Cole says that night was special, but it wasn’t quite perfect. Because in that main event match, Cole did lose. That hurt, guys, it hurt really, really badly. But he knows somewhere down the line, he’ll get another shot. Fans cheer that, and Cole says concerning his good friend, MJF, he’s not in great shape. His neck is pretty banged up, but Cole promises that on this Sunday, AEW All Out, live in Chicago, MJF is gonna be ready to go!
Fans cheer more, and Cole says that there is something very, very important Cole needs to say here today. But Roderick Strong is shouting for Adam! Roddy & The Kingdom storm out to the ring, and then get in the ring so Roddy can ask Adam, “You care more about the fact that Max’s neck is bad than you care about MY neck?! Is my neck health not important to you?!” Cole tells Roddy that this is getting so ridiculous. This isn’t the Roddy Strong that Cole knows and has been friends with for over 10 years. Maybe it’s cuz he’s listening to these guys-
Mike Bennett cuts Cole off there as he repeats “These guys? These guys? Really, Adam? Like you don’t even know us? Are you kidding me?! Y’know what, Adam? I’m gonna do story time right now, so listen up! It’s Story Time with Mike Bennett! SHUT UP!” Fans boo, but Mike takes us back to 2010, ROH, the ECW Arena! Fans tell Mike to STFU but he refuses! Back then, a 21-year-old Adam Cole faced a 25-year-old Mike Bennett. Does Adam remember that night? Cuz Mike does! And he can tell by the look in Cole’s eyes, he does remember! They got each other jobs that night! They got each other signed to ROH!
“And from that point forward, man, I felt like we were bonded for life. And it sure as hell felt like you did, too, cuz we did everything together! You were at my wedding, man! You hosted my bachelor party the night before! Think about all arenas we went to! The Seibu Dome! The Hammerstein! The Ted Reeve Arena! Hell, we even did The Field House, right here in Chicago, Illinois! But let’s be honest, Chicago is the worst city to wrestle in.” Fans boo even more now, but Mike says they know it’s true. But Adam, they picked each other up during their worst moments, and celebrated each other in their best.
But y’know what Cole’s problem is? He cares far too much about what all these idiot fans think! And Cole forgot what “these guys” meant to him! Cole tells Mike that he knows- Matt Taven tells Cole to shut up! Yeah, that’s right. Taven has thought on this a long time. “This is just who you are, Adam. You needed us! You needed The Kingdom to take over ROH. And when you achieved that, you jumped ship to Bullet Club so you could pad your wallet with that merchandise money.” Fans boo but Taven says after that, Cole went to Florida (NXT) and surrounded himself with all of their friends (Roddy, O’Reilly, Fish) so they could prop him up and hold onto that title as long as he did.
And now, Cole wants to come back and say he’s a changed man? No, he’s a liar! Cole is the same leech he always has been, and now he’s latched onto that “corny Melvin,” MJF, because Cole thinks MJF is the gateway to the AEW World title. Cole shakes his head but Taven asks him a question. When Cole looks at pictures of the past, does he just ignore all the people around him? Because Taven truly believes that in Cole’s mind, Cole sees himself standing all alone, because Cole is the only person Cole has ever cared about. Fans tell Taven to STFU but Cole speaks now. “You guys know for a fact that that is not true.”
Do they? Yes, because honest to God, if Cole made them feel that way, he is so, so sorry! He knows they were all very close at one point, but what he’s learned about friendship is that it is very important to be understanding of each other. The three of them need to accept that Max is not only Cole’s friend, but he is Cole’s best friend! Fans cheer but that only upsets Roddy & The Kingdom. Roddy says, “Nope! Not today! Adam, I can’t accept that. I just can’t. So you know what? I’m entering that Grand Slam tournament, and I’m gonna do what YOU couldn’t do: I’m gonna beat MJF in the middle of this ring and become the NEW AEW World Champion, with my REAL friends, Mike & Matt, by my side! So if you’re my real friend, you’d be rooting for me, too.”
Cole tells Roddy that that is a horrible idea. Roddy is in no condition to wrestle, his neck is not in good shape! Oh, there’s Adam pretending to care about Roddy! Finally! Lucky Roddy. But listen to him, Adam. “Unlike your soft tag team partner, I don’t need a roll-up, I don’t need a diamond ring. Hell, I don’t even need a neck that’s 100% to win a match decisively here. Bad neck or not, I’m gonna break everybody’s back, and I’m winning that tournament, cuz I’m a wrestling legend!” Fans boo, but Roddy and The Kingdom leave. Cole still doesn’t get the point of all this, says he has done nothing wrong, but who is to say. But will Roddy find a way to head for the Grand Slam?
Penta El Zero Miedo speaks.
“Orange Cassidy. This is not personal, bro. This is just business. But Jon Moxley, you hurt my brother! And you know what? Now, I hurt you!” Alex Abrahantes adds that isn’t it fitting that in the same arena where The Lucha Brothers won the AEW World Tag Team Championships, Penta will now win his first singles title here, and then advance to All Out to face Mox. Penta knows that Alex was out there with Komander, and Alex was taking notes. Alex picked up on a couple things, and Penta says that after he beats Cassidy tonight, Jon Moxley is gonna bleed like he’s never bled before! Because it is time for an International Champion who has… CERO! MIEDO!!
Six Woman Tag: Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida & Britt Baker VS Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir & Emi Sakura!
The Galaxy’s Greatest joins forces with The Shining Samurai & The Doctor just days before defending her TBS Championship against The Runaway, Ruby Soho, because they’re going to handle some #ViciousVixens! Will Kris, Shida & Britt hold it together? Or will the Native Beast, The Problem & The Queen of Joshi crush them all to gain their own title opportunities?
The trios sort out and Emi rushes in to SANDWICH Shida and Britt! Emi then whips Shida to a corner, the bell rings, and Emi starts up the tune of We Will Rock You. But then Shida RANAS Emi! Emi gets up, takes a swing, but Shida blocks to ROCK Emi! Shida then climbs up and fans fire up as she rains down fists! Fans count along all the way to TEN, and then Shida kicks Emi away. Shida adjusts up top, to MISSILE DROPKICK Emi down! Fans fire up with Shida more and she goes to her corner. Kris and Britt both want a tag, Shida goes with Britt. Britt runs in and fans fire up as she fires forearms on Emi!
Britt runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then SLINGBLADES! Cover, ONE! Shafir protests the ref was slow to see the shoulder but this is a distraction so Emi can rake the eyes and Nyla can KICK Britt in the back! Emi CHOPS Britt down, tags in Shafir, and Shafir brings Britt up to fire off in the corner! OGOSHI TAKEDOWN! Then tag to Nyla, she and Shafir mug Britt. Nyla stands on Britt’s neck, the ref counts, and Nyla lets off. Nyla drags Britt up, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Emi. They mug Britt now, but fans rally up. Emi taunts Shida and Kris, then she CHOPS Britt down! Emi sucker punches Shida and Kris!
Emi drags Britt away, turns her and wrenches the hair! And again! Emi puts Britt int he ropes to bend her back against the ropes, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref counts, Emi lets off at 4, and then Emi sits on Britt to CHOKE her! The ref counts again, Emi hops off and taunts Shida. Emi stomps Britt down, tags in Shafir, and Shafir drags Britt from her corner to tie up the legs. Shafir taunts Shida and Kris before pulling Britt back. But Britt uses that to turn over and kick Shafir! Shafir cartwheels around to then KICK Britt in the back! Shafir drags Britt up, underhooks and then full nelsons! Britt endures, pries at the hold, but Shafir sweeps the legs! Shafir tags Nyla, Nyla armlocks and fishhooks, but the ref reprimands. Nyla shifts to DRAGON SLEEPER!
Britt endures, fights up but Nyla KNEES her in the back! And again! Cover, TWO! Britt is toughing it out but Nyla is on her at the ropes. Nyla whips Britt to the corner, tags in Emi, and then Nyla snapmares Britt so Emi can drag her up and whip her to a corner. Emi laughs, runs in corner to corner, and BODY CHECKS Britt! Britt flops over, Emi covers, TWO! Emi mockingly applauds Britt’s grit, then drags her up to reel her in. Emi underhooks, Britt resists the lift, and then Britt wrenches out to kick and FISHERMAN SCREW! Both women are down and fans rally up. Britt and Emi reach out, hot tags to Shafir and Kris!
Dynamite returns to single picture as Kris dodges Shafir, BOOTS Nyla, then fires off on Shafir! Shida looks a little hurt that Britt didn’t tag her after what they’ve been through, but Kris just hammers away on Shafir! ROUNDHOUSE! Then a HAYMAKER for Nyla! Shafir kicks, Kris blocks and CHOPS! And CLUBS! And CLUBS again! Then Electric Chair Lift, for a FACEBUSTER! Cover, Nyla & Emi both break it! The ref reprimands, but Emi hits Britt and Shida! The ref is busy keeping Shida & Britt back, allowing Nyla & Emi to hoist Kris up, DOUBLE LEG SWEEP FACEBUSTER! What a unique combo move!
But Shida runs in to QUESTION MARK KICK Emi! Nyla waistlocks but Shida fights free. Britt runs in, Shida holds Nyla, but Nyla switches and the SUPERKICK hits Shida! Britt panics and says she didn’t mean to, but she turns around into Nyla’s grip! CHOKE SLAM! Nyla fires up but fans boo. Kris is back and kicks but Nyla blocks to choke grip her! Kris breaks free to ROCK Nyla! Shafir runs up but Kris sends her out! Nyla runs back in but Kris dodges to clothesline her up and out! Fans fire up as Mama Statlander goes up the corner! All the others are fighting nearby, Kris SUPER CROSSBODIES them all down!
Fans are thunderous as Kris drags Shafir up and into the ring! Kris then gut wrenches and tucks Shafir in, FIGHT NIGHT FEVER!! Cover, Kris and team win!
Winners: Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida & Britt Baker, by pinfall
Shida and Britt argue about the miscommunication, Kris tries to get them to calm down, but Ruby Soho runs in from the crowd side! The Runaway gets Kris with NO FUTURE!! Fans boo as Ruby runs away with the belt! That belt doesn’t belong to Ruby yet, will there be No Future for Kris as champion after Sunday?
Shane Taylor speaks.
“For six years, Shane Taylor was the man in ROH. The most dominant Television Champion of all time. Signed, sealed and delivered, Shane Taylor VS Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship!” Big Bad Shaney T. has vowed to knock Samoa Joe out and take back that title, will he once again be the baddest champion we’ve ever seen? We’ll see this Sunday at All Out!
Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita are backstage.
Callis points to the screen to show us the graphic for Kenny Omega VS Konosuke Takeshita this Sunday at All Out. Callis says this is the match the world has been waiting for. “As Kenny Omega’s former family, I’ve had a front row seat to all of the many surgeries he had in 2022. Takeshita-san!” “Yo.” “This is Kenny’s knee. No cartilage. Even worse, Kenny’s neck. C2 through C4, compromised. What we need: Many strikes. Such as…” Video plays from All In, where Takeshita countered Kota Ibushi’s Kami-Goye with a jump knee. “Very good! Under the chin, that’s a C3 strike.”
Then Takeshita hits a heavy forearm to Kenny, Callis wants many of those. Look at that! And even better, Omega’s abdominal cavity, the hernia repair. For that area, the Blue Thunder Bomb. Again footage plays, Takeshita hitting that BIG Blue Thunder on Kenny in the match. Callis points out to focus on Kenny’s right side. “And if all else fails, I have a back-up strategy. Sasu. Kurose!” That is to say, STAB and KILL! Konosuke likes that. He tells Kenny Omega that he WILL kill! Is All Out going to be the very last time we see Kenny Omega in AEW?
The Acclaimed is here!
Chicago fires up for the NEW AEW World Trios Champions, and of course Max Caster has a track on deck! “Acclaimed won the big one for the Badass! We doin’ more numbers than a math class! 80 thousand people, that’s colossal! But we never froze, we’re not Mitch McConnell! These other teams stressed, lookin’ bloodshot. They lookin’ pissed like Trump in his mugshot! The best trio in the game. In Chicago, everybody loves The Acclaimed!” Anthony Bowens takes the mic to tell “CHIIICAGOOOOO~! The Acclaimed have arrived!” They get in the ring with Billy Gunn, and there’s already a podium and a table with items covered by cloth.
Fans cheer as Billy walks up to the podium and asks for the music to turn off. He knows they’re short on time and gotta get through this. But hey, Chicago, guess what? Here’s some really good news Billy wants to share with you. Daddy Ass is back! Fans cheer and chant for that! Billy says he appreciates that, but like, he was only gone a day. Anyway, last Sunday was really good, right? All In, 80 thousand people, and these three became AEW World Trios Champions! Caster says well said. Look, 80 thousand witnessed “The Miracle Menage,” the best trio in the game today capturing the AEW World Trios titles.
But The Acclaimed thought it’d be fitting to come back to Chicago, that one year ago lifted up The Acclaimed and moved them to the next level. So they wanted to come back here to promise everyone that they will lift these titles up with pride as they dominate the Trios Division. So there was only one way Caster felt they could start off their reign, and that is with… a ribbon cutting ceremony! Fans cheer that, and sing “OH~ Scissor Me, Daddy~!” Caster says without further ado, time to cut the ribbon! Fans cheer but Billy says Caster’s is too small. Billy says they should use his bigger one. Out come the BIG SCISSORS!
Fans fire up as Billy steps up to the ribbon, and CUTS IT! Yay~! Bowens thanks Billy for that, but tells him to watch where he points that thing. “There is a new era in the Trios Division, and this is our house now! And with Billy at the helm, Chicago, welcome to the House of Ass!” What? Fans chant “HOUSE OF ASS!” for that, and Bowens continues to say, “And in this house, we wear pink. Which is why Billy, if you take a look at these, these are kind of… Dull.” Well, they’re the gold ones that The House of Black replaced with their platinum ones. But Bowens still says he and Caster got a little surprise for us all!
Bowens & Caster go to the table, to unveil HOT PINK STRAPS! Fans cheer and Bowens has Caster model the 24 karat gold, the new strap, and just a quick twirl… No, no, not Caster’s platinum dumpy! The belt! Look! They scissor! The straps are cut in such a way that they can intertwine! So then, Billy can just scissor himself now? Oh… And to cap this all off, Chicago, we must all break these babies in. Saturday, live on Collision, The Acclaimed DEFEND their AEW Trios titles! And let’s get to it! Throw up the scissors, and say it with him now! “SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” And they triple scissor with the belts~! Who will get cut down on Collision this weekend as the HOA takes over AEW?
AEW hears from the teams in the Rampage Tag Team Battle Royal.
The Dark Order promises to make a statement, because they always win battle royals! But Prince Nana promises that this Friday, the Gates of Agony get their shot! Best Friends say they may’ve lost Stadium Stampede, but they’re super tough now! So just one thing left to do: get that shot at MJF & Adam Cole! Matt Hardy says we’re gonna get something big at All Out! Better Than You Baybay VS The Hardy Boyz? A rematch of MJF & Cole VS Aussie Open? Or will a dark horse team take the reins going into All Out?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
After the bit of dysfunction that still led to victory, Kris, Shida & Britt look to do it all again, but against The Outcasts? Will Saraya & Soho forgive Storm for what happened at All In? Or will the TBS Champion lead her team to another victory, this time over the NEW AEW Women’s World Champion? Plus, ahead of the massive 8 Man Tag of FTR & Bucks VS Bullet Club Gold, Dax Harwood steps to Jay White! Will Dax the Ax shut the Switchblade’s mouth? And then, just as The Acclaimed mentioned, they’re defending their Trios titles, and challengers have been found! Daniel Garcia sticks with Matthew Menard & Angelo Parker, will the Red Death, Daddy Magic & Cool Hand Ange cut the House of Ass’s reign incredibly short?

Cassidy turns things around on Penta, and runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, tilt-o-whirl DDT!
Fans fire up, Cassidy crawls to a cover, TWO! Penta survives and fans rally up again. Cassidy is still in this but Penta keeps cool as Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Penta paces, looms over Cassidy, and drags him up to put his arm through ropes. Penta pulls on the arm but Cassidy kicks at him. The ref counts, Penta lets off at 4, but then he puts Cassidy on ropes to CHOKE! The ref counts, Penta BITES Cassidy’s ear, but he let off at 4. Fans rally and duel, Penta goes out and gets in the face of the guy cosplaying a ref. Alex has Penta calm down, Penta tells the guy Cero Miedo and then goes back to the ring. Penta stalks Cassidy, takes aim, and KICKS a leg out! Cassidy flounders, but Penta runs to PENALTY KICK an arm! Penta says “WOO~!” and then stands on Cassidy’s hand! Penta stomps the arm!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall (still AEW International Champion)
Penta and Alex cannot believe it! Chicago can’t believe it! Commentary can’t believe it! How did Cassidy survive half of that? But now, Freshly Squeezed fights on, ready to go All Out against Jon Moxley! Cassidy gets the mic to say, “Justin, get me a chair.” Justin Roberts slides a chair in for Cassidy, and he uses it to take a seat. Cassidy then says, “I don’t usually like to talk. But yet here we are. I am so tired. My body hurts. And every single time I have a title defense, the backpack gets a little heavier. But y’know what? I’m here! I’m wrestling! I’m defending the International Championship! Because this means everything to me.
“This is what AEW is! It’s about putting a person that was told, ‘You’ll never do anything. You’re too skinny, you’re too short, you’re just a little too different.’ I’M THE CHAMPION!” Fans cheer as Cassidy stands back up and holds the belt up. Cassidy says he will continue to defend HIS title for as long as he wants! And there is nothing anyone can do to take it from him! “Jon Moxley, you better bring more than just a fork, because I will always be the International Champion! But wait, here comes Moxley! Moxley gets in the ring with Cassidy, they go forehead to forehead, and then Moxley pie faces Cassidy! So Cassidy SLAPS Moxley! But that hurts the bad hand more than anything! Moxley is seething, but Cassidy isn’t backing down. Fans are all fired up, Moxley tells Cassidy he’s gonna regret that, and then flips him off before leaving. Who will leave Chi-Town with gold after these two go All Out?
My Thoughts:
A great episode of Dynamite here, pulling off the rare hybrid aftermath/go-home episode. Great promos from backstage at All In helping pave the road for not just All Out but for the next month of AEW programming. 8 Man Tag of BCG VS #FTRBucks is an interesting move but you can bet things go crazy on Collision during Dax VS White as the go-home segment to that match. And that 8 Man Tag probably gets wild, too. Now, I don’t think the Bucks cost FTR the match, they don’t want BCG getting a title opportunity ahead of them. It could be FTRBucks winning, and then Bucks turn on FTR to basically force Dax & Cash into another match for like Grand Slam.
And really good stuff from MJF & Cole. Rampage with the tag battle royal is gonna be good, but a little surprised we didn’t see The Kingdom in that line-up. Unless they are a “surprise last minute” entry. Really good promo from Cole, Strong & The Kingdom, and with continuity like this in the Adam Cole story, it really gives you this almost psychological profile of how pro-wrestlers treat friendships. Cole may not see it but the others are pointing out him being selfish, this could be something that is played upon in the break-up of Cole & MJF. Honestly, that’s why Kingdom should get the ROH Tag title shot at All Out. And Roddy in the Grand Slam Eliminator tournament, I wonder if that prompts Cole getting in on it, adding to more tension between him and MJF.
Great promo from Jericho and Sammy with all their passive aggressive comments. Le Sex Gods are definitely not lasting this time around, and we might end up with Sammy VS Jericho by Grand Slam. Good promo from Callis with Sammy, too, adding to that dysfunction. And good promo from Callis with Konosuke to hype up Konosuke VS Kenny. But with Konosuke winning at All In and all this about him knowing Kenny’s weaknesses, Kenny has to win at All Out to make things even. They can probably keep the feud going with the Grand Slam Eliminator tournament or even at Grand Slam itself to then build things to AEW WrestleDream in Kobe, Japan, the October PPV Tony Khan recently announced.
Great promo from Toni Storm, she’s even more flustered, but I’m surprised she is supposedly still in The Outcasts. Great Trios match tonight, and great win for Shida, Britt & Kris. The Trios match on Collision should be a lot of fun for all the moving parts, as Britt and Shida look to be one moment away from fighting each other now. I’m thinking Kris carries the team like she did tonight, indicating that The Outcasts (even if it’s just Saraya & Soho) cheat Kris so Soho can have the TBS Championship and Storm feels even more left out. Really fun promo from The Acclaimed, and I like that they get their own custom belts. They’ll more than likely retain against Garcia, Menard & Parker, and they’ll definitely elevate the Trios Division just by having those belts.
Great NJPW Strong title match, and of course Eddie wins, that title wasn’t changing hands outside of NJPW. And that bit of Claudio just ignoring Eddie is a great tease for them having one more match for the ROH World title. Rather curious that we’re getting the ROH World TV Championship on All Out. Samoa Joe VS Shane Taylor is going to be an awesome match either way, but it feels like this is a substitute for how CM Punk has gotten himself in another bad situation, aka “Brawl In,” and won’t be allowed to wrestle on All Out now. The behind-the-scenes issues of AEW can be an article series all it’s own, but I’m not gonna bother. Other than that Tony Khan needs to get some guts and put certain egos in check.
And great stuff in the International Championship scene. Great promos from Moxley, Penta and Cassidy, but I must point out Moxley’s promo had one little flaw in it: Penta has a catchphrase, it’s “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta spams it all the time, and even here tonight. Though maybe Moxley was foreshadowing Cassidy’s win. That main event was awesome, but I do feel like Cassidy’s power level is rising too high surviving what he survived. That promo was great, though, and definitely the most fired up Cassidy’s ever been in AEW. Plus, “And I don’t have a catchphrase” is such a great ironic catchphrase, I hope he keeps using it. As for who wins at All Out, I have no idea. The promo was awesome but Cassidy is so beat up, something’s gotta give.
My Score: 8.9/10
