Trent wrenches, and he points to a Hardy!

The fans cheer but Parker gets away to tag in Garcia. Fans cheer as Jeff tags in, and he ties up with Garcia. Jeff headlocks, Garcia powers out but Jeff runs him over! Jeff does his dance! Fans fire up as things speed up, but Garcia trips Jeff to do his dance! Jeff kicks, Garcia blocks but Jeff spin back kicks! Garcia avoids the jawbreaker, then dodges the haymaker, to do his dance! Jeff does his dance! It’s a dance off! The ref has to keep everyone else back, but Menard CLOBBERS Jeff! Fans boo but then Matt hits Menard! The ref sorts things out, Garcia drags Jeff over and tags in Hager. Hager throws body shots in the corner but the ref counts.

Hager tags to Parker and he ROCKS Jeff! Tag to Menard, fans are torn, but he and Parker mug Jeff. Menard wrenches and wristlocks to tag in Garcia, and Garcia kicks Jeff’s arm! Garcia puts Jeff in the corner, throws body shots and haymakers, but lets off to shout “Sports entertainment, baby!” Garcia keeps Jeff from his corner, tags in Menard, and Menard stomps Jeff down. The Hardys and Best Friends have the X-JAS all in corners, so they all go up! Matt gives Hager “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” buckle bumps while Trent and Jeff rain down fists and Chuck stomps a mudhole! They go all the way to a fan count of TEN, then they all whip! The X-JAS crash and the Hardys clothesline Hager out of the ring! Fans fire up as the Hardys and Best Friends bring it in to HUG! You GOT to give the people what they want! Chuck DECKS Garcia, Trent goes up and he MOONSAULTS onto Menard & Parker! But Hager CLOBBERS Trent! Hager roars but fans boo as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Hager shoves Trent into the ring for Garcia to drag over, and he stands on Trent’s leg before a HIP DROP! Tag to Parker and he stomps Trent. Parker snap suplexes Trent, covers, TWO! Parker keeps on Trent with a wrench and wristlock, then he tags Hager. They mug Trent, and Hager bumps Trent off buckles. Trent falls back, Hager swaggers around and Menard soaks up the heat, but Trent fights back! Trent fires off on Hager but Hager DECKS him! Tag to Menard and he stomps Trent around. Trent fights up, throws body shots, then runs, but Menard ELBOWS him down! Fans boo but the X-JAS soak it all up. Menard CHOPS Trent in a corner, whips him corner to corner hard, and then soaks up more heat. Menard sucker punches Matt Hardy! Backstage interview with Eddie Kingston.

Renee Paquette is with the double champion Mad King, and says we heard from Stokely Hathaway about tonight’s Fatal 4 Way Contender’s match to determine Eddie’s next challenger for the ROH World Championship. He’ll be on commentary for it, what is he expecting? “I’m expecting those four dudes to wild out and try to get this championship. Y’know what I mean? It ain’t no problem. I gotta defend this, and I gotta defend the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship in Vegas against Henare, so I’m ready to go. Any time, any place.”

But then in walks Team Triple J. Sonjay Dutt congratulates the double champ, but says after last week, when Eddie disrespected Sonjay’s best friend, Jay Lethal, Lethal called the team and said he is not coming to work. Lethal is not gonna even look at Eddie, so Sonjay will talk for him. Eddie disrespected a former ROH World Champion, a former ROH TV Champion, a former ROH Tag Team Champion, and a former ROH Grand Slam Champion! How dare you, you stupid… No, Sonjay won’t go there. But they just want to know this: Is Eddie going to put the ROH World title up against Jay Lethal?

Jeff Jarrett says, “Yeah, Eddie Kingston! Are you gonna man up, pahtna, and do the right thing?” Eddie laughs. First, don’t talk about the right thing. Double J’s never done the right thing once in his career, Eddie’s heard the stories. Karen says that is not necessary but Eddie says yet it is. And Satnam, man, stop breathing on him. Good? Good. But here’s the deal: Eddie will defend the ROH World title against Lethal, when Lethal proves himself that he is still the same Lethal, and not some clown that is running around with this carny SOB. He whispers something to Sonjay, and Sonjay is happily surprised! Is that real? Yeah, Stoke’s got them! This is gonna be good. Jarrett says nothing is ever good from Stokely. And don’t touch their giant, okay? But just what did Big Stoke tell Sonjay that got him back in a good mood? Will Jay Lethal get the title match he wants?

The tribute to Inoki continues from Sunday but Levi endures. Yuta shifts to a facelock but Levi fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Yuta lets off, and Yuta slaps Levi around. Fans boo but Levi shoves back! Levi ROCKS Yuta, ROCKS him again, then swings, but Yuta dodges to fire off hands and CHOPS! Yuta CHOPS Levi down, then shouts at him! Fans are torn but Yuta clinches. Levi powers out, swings, but into the PAINTHRILLER!

Fans fire up and Yuta drags Levi over, tag to Claudio. Claudio wrenches an arm, whips Levi to ropes, but Levi KICKS back! Claudio CLOBBERS Levi! Claudio sits Levi up for HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Ruiz BOOTS Claudio, but that just angers Claudio! Ruiz BOOTS, so Claudio tells Yuta to hand this wise guy. Yuta runs in to BOOT Ruiz down and stomps away in the corner! Fans fire up as Claudio calls for it, GIANT SWING for Levi! Yuta waits for Levi to pick up speed at about the count of TEN, before he DROPKICKS Levi outta the swing! Claudio BLASTS Ruiz off the apron, drags Levi into position, and tags Yuta!

Renee is with Anna, Menard, Parker, Hager & Garcia and says that was a rough loss for them. What exactly went wrong out there? Garcia says it went wrong when he bumped into Menard who bumped into Anna and then Garcia tried to get it done all by himself. Obviously he can’t get the win all by himself against Hardys & Best Friends, but then Menard cuts him off. Did Garcia really just say he tried to handle things on his own? Is that so? Menard says “I DON’T THINK SO!” What about Garcia too concerned with dancing? What is this, a disco tec? Try to win the match!

Parker calms them down and says that not too long ago, they all took a stand together. Tonight was about going out there and proving they made the right decision. They failed, but they failed as a family. So now, they get Anna checked out as a family. Alright? Let’s go. Parker leads the way, Garcia wants Menard to understand where he’s coming from, but then Hager also throws a cold stare Garcia’s way. Will the X-JAS hold together when it’s all on them?

MIEDO!” He pie faces Johnny, then Komander SUPERKICKS Johnny down! Lince SUPERKICKS Komander, but Penta SUPERKICKS Lince! Johnny is up, swings, misses, and Penta SLINGBLADES! Penta ducks the shining wizard, arm-drags but then Johnny arm-drags! Both men kip up and fans fire up! Eddie likes that, but then Lince & Komander DOUBLE DROPKICK! Lince whips, Komander reverses but Lince RANAS! Komander tumbles, runs back in but Lince side steps to then scoop and BACKBREAKER! Fans fire up and Lince builds speed, but Aaron Solo holds the ropes down! Lince tumbles but lands on his feet, swings on Solo but he dodges, and Johnny BOOTS Lince down! Johnny rolls in, fans boo but he builds speed, only for Penta to GAMANGIRI! Penta SUPERKICKS Komander, goes up a corner, and he CROSSBODIES! Johnny staggers up, into a SUPERKICK! Penta swaggers, runs in, but into a SUPERKICK! Penta swings, Johnny ducks and Alabama Lifts!

Penta reaches out and grabs ropes, but Johnny pulls him away, only for Penta to hit a DESTROYER!! Johnny bails out, Solo is there, and Komander runs in. Penta throws Komander up and over but Komander lands safe on the apron. Penta GAMANGIRIS Komander down! Lince slingshots in but Penta goes up and over! Lince is outside with everyone else and Penta FLIES! Penta takes out everyone, except Johnny! Johnny CLOBBERS Penta! Fans boo while Johnny looms over Penta, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Johnny FLAPJACKS Penta off railing! Johnny then KICKS Lince down, stomps Komander around, and Johnny stalks Komander to kick him more. Johnny ROCKS Komander, BOOTS him down, then stalks him. Komander stands and Johnny whips him into railing! But Lince ROCKS Johnny! Lince pushes Johnny in the ring but Johnny kicks low and TOSSES Lince back out. But Penta returns and stares Johnny down. Penta CHOPS, then eggs Johnny on. Johnny winds up, to poke Penta in the eye! The ref reprimands and Penta writhes but Johnny smirks as he kicks Penta back out. Johnny paces, considers his options, and kicks Lince down.

Johnny also kicks Komander down, then waits on someone to get up. Johnny goes to fetch Lince, and SMACKS him off the railing! Then Johnny FLAPJACKS Lince off the apron! Johnny SLAMS Komander down on the floor! Johnny goes around the way, and he KNEES Penta down as Rampage goes to break!

Rampage returns and Johnny HOOK KICKS, low kicks, and reels Penta in, MOONLIGHT DRIVE! Penta flounders away and Lince attacks! Johnny hauls Lince up to atomic drop! Then a fireman’s carry, to a SAMOAN POP! Johnny soaks up the heat before he STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, but Komander breaks it! Komander eggs Johnny on, kicks him, throws hands, then throws body shots. Komander whips, Johnny reverses and gut wrenches to a Canadian Rack! Then a swing and POWERSLAM! Johnny drags Komander to a drop zone, and he goes to the corner, but Komander rolls him up! Johnny RAMS Komander to the corner!

Johnny puts Komander up top, ROCKS him, then climbs up after him. Komander CLUBS away on Johnny, HEADBUTTS him down, and fans fire up! Komander stands but Lince anchors him! Lince climbs up to join Komander, and Lince SUPER STEINERS Komander, and then Komander DRAGON RANAS Johnny!! Fans are thunderous for this double rana combo! But then Lince FLAPJACKS and SUPERKICKS Komander! Penta SUPERKICKS Lince! Penta whips, Lince reverses but Penta holds ropes. Lince runs up to RANA Penta out! The Shining Samurai is sharpening her blade for Title Tuesday and her AEW Women’s World Championship match with Saraya. She teams with the AEW TBS Champion against some Vicious Vixens, will Hikaru & Kris put this Rampage to bed? Or will Nyla & Shafir prove to be a problem for them?

But speaking of, Nyla & Shafir BLAST Shida & Statlander off the apron! Shafir fires off on Shida while Nyla snatches the TBS title! The ref reprimands but Nyla taunts Kris with her own belt before stomping her down. Shafir sweeps the legs on Shida, then KICKS her in the back! Nyla RAMS Kris into the railing then tells Marina to get Shida! The bell rings, Shida fires back and whips, but Shafir reverses to hita n ankle pick! Nyla keeps on Kris by sending her into more railing! Shafir throws down forearms but Shida throws some back! Shafir rolls Shida around and goes for an arm, but Shida clasps hands!

Shida pushes Shafir to a cover, ONE, and they’re in the ropes. Shafir lets off and Shida gets up to throw body shots. Shafir ROCKS Shida, tags Nyla, and Nyla KICKS Shida! Kris is tougher than that, too! Nyla tags Shafir and they haul Kris up. Nyla holds Kris up with both hands around the neck, and Shafir throws hands like Kris is her punching bag! Nyla then SLAMS Kris down! Cover, but Shida breaks it! Fans fire up and Kris crawls that way, but Shafir drags her up. Shafir throws those judo hip shots, but Kris gets around to BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Both women crawl but Nyla just runs in. Kris dodges to ROUNDHOUSE! Hot tag to Shida!

Shida fires up and the fans are with her! She goes up the ropes to PLANCHA! Down go the Vicious Vixens! Shida puts Shafir in, fires up more, and she brings Shafir in. Suplex for the FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Shafir survives but Shida has the fans fire up again. Shida climbs, but Nyla CLUBS her down! Nyla brings Shida around, has her on the ropes, and goes up the corner herself. The Samurai just sent a message to The Knight ahead of them clashing swords over the AEW Women’s World Championship! Will Shida be shining as a historic THREE-TIME champion? Or will Saraya keep AEW as her house?

My Thoughts:

A really good Rampage but only so much follow-up from WrestleDream. The 8 Man Tag was a really fun opening match, and I do like that it plays into the story of the X-JAS with that dysfunction that cost them. It is some interesting stuff that only now are Garcia’s sports entertainer antics getting on Menard’s nerves when the JAS was all about being sports… enner-tay-ners. Now, that said promo might shoot this idea down, but what if the X-JAS were the four men who helped Devil Mask Man beat up Jay White? Why would that be? Because the man in the devil mask could be… JACK PERRY.

Perry is gonna be back off suspension at some point now that CM Punk is gone, and Perry is still dating Anna Jay, who is attached to the X-JAS. And they could go from Jericho Appreciation Society to the Jack Perry Society or something like that. And it’d be Perry sticking it to MJF over that Young Pillars Fatal 4 story. Hell, Perry could use the line MJF took from CM Punk, sticking it to both of them with “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled” etc. It’d give Perry something to do, it’d give Anna and the rest of X-JAS something to do, it could lead things to them feuding with MJF eventually. Probably not gonna happen, but would be fun, right?

Good little squash tag for Claudio & Yuta but it was just kinda so Yuta could have his rebound win from WrestleDream without hurting some other established name. Awesome Fatal 4 Way, you can’t go wrong with any of the four they went with, and in a very surprising move, it was Komander who won, not Johnny like I thought. That ROH title match already happening is a surprise but I guess with Triple J doing a promo on Lethal’s behalf is a sign that Eddie VS Lethal is going to be a big match for either Full Gear or ROH Final Battle. It should be the latter because A) Eddie just said Lethal needs to earn the shot and B) ROH titles need to be on ROH programming! It was literally just Athena as the ONE champion on ROH TV this week because Tony Khan’s put the other belts on AEW guys!

And then really good tag match but it was also just a tune-up match for Shida going into Tuesday. I do like how Nyla was really making a case for going after the TBS Championship by focusing so hard on Kris. But Shida finishing this off by using Saraya’s finisher was a nice touch. I don’t see Saraya losing the title on TV, and I don’t see Shida making history by becoming a three-time AEW Women’s World Champion on TV, but they could and should put on a PPV level match to make Title Tuesday special.
