Swerve Strickland is here!
Prince Nana leads the way as The Realest walks out one of the brand new tunnels Dynamite brings, and they head to the ring together where Tony Schiavone awaits. Schiavone says they can all hear the response to “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” What a match at Revolution, though a disappointing result for Swerve. So the question is, what’s next for Swerve Strickland? Swerve says he doesn’t know if he deserves all this praise. What’s Swerve’s House without the keys? This past Sunday, he was in that Triple Threat for the world championship, and he didn’t come out the victor. You know who did? Samoa Joe.
Fans boo but Swerve says it is funny enough. Two years to the day, he and Schiavone were on that stage, Revolution 2022 in Orlando, Florida, and Schiavone was the one to hand him the contract. Everyone cheers that moment, and Swerve hopes Schiavone remembers what he said that night. Swerve said he’d come out here, give his all to AEW and win championships. He said he was gonna be THE AEW World Champion! “But here I stand, here, no gold around my waist, around my shoulder, nothing. Part of me thinks it’s a little bit of karma from all the bad stuff that I’ve done. Y’know, I’ve done some really terrible stuff in AEW, bro.
“Maybe this is payback for that, maybe I’m paying for it now, I dunno. As a matter of fact…” The fans continue with “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” but Swerve says he has doubts now. Maybe he’s not supposed to be a champion here. Maybe he should be a role player, the guy that gets close enough but can’t quite get it, and he has to settle for “just this.” The fans chant “You Deserve It!” and Schiavone lets Swerve have the mic for himself. Swerve will tell us a little something. Something about Sunday felt real different. He goes to all the arenas, every city, he hears them singing and chant his name.
He sees them do the dance and all that. But something about Greensboro on Sunday felt very different. It felt like the people were truly rooting for him for the first time. Like they really wanted him to win and make history! He heard people flew across the country from his home state of Washington, just to be in the presence of Swerve winning, becoming world champion, and making history. And for that, he will not let them down! The fans cheer, and Swerve says the fact still remains, nothing changes from this point on. “Samoa Joe. Joe, whether you’re still holding that championship or not, I’m coming for you.”
Swerve doesn’t know when or where, but he will beat Samoa Joe, that he promises! “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” “Whose House?!” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” “Whose Damn House!?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!!” But wait! Samoa Joe is here! The champion, the King of Wrestling Television, chuckles and smiles as he makes his way to the ring. The fans cheer as Joe holds up the belt, and then Joe looks to Swerve. Joe gets a mic of his own, and he says, “Y’know, for a man who I beat down the other day, you sure are talking funny. Making a lot of promises to these good people that you will never keep.
“In fact, I’ve come out here to give us a little reality check, maybe adjust our perception. Because here we are, in Swerve’s House!” The fans chant again, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” but Joe says unfortunately, that house exists in Joe’s world! The fans boo but Joe says instead of disappointing the people with how Swerve’s almost a world champion, Joe figured he’d come out here to show them a real world champion. Joe spins around so everyone can see him. Swerve tells Joe not to turn his back on Swerve. Second, Joe’s talking real spicy for a man who hasn’t actually beat Swerve.
Joe is waving this title around in Swerve’s face, is he really taunting Swerve? How about they put that on the line tonight? Heck, why wait for later tonight? Let’s do this right now?! But hold on! Here comes The Undisputed Kingdom! Adam Cole wheels out, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett holding up their ROH World Tag Team Championships, Roderick Strong showing off his newly won AEW International Championship, and Wardlow holding his head high as the All-Star Scramble winner, and therefore next in line for an AEW World Championship match. Adam Cole has a mic to say, “Who’s ready for Story Time with Adam Cole BAYBAY?”
Fans are torn but Cole says the only story worth talking about after Revolution is The Undisputed Kingdom. Just like they said, Roddy is the NEW AEW International Champion! The Kingdom are still the greatest ROH World Tag Team Champions of all time! And then there is the two in the ring. Don’t get Cole wrong, Samoa Joe is big and bad, but the only reason he is still AEW World Champion is because the Undisputed Kingdom let it happen. And Swerve! “The hot new thing, right, everybody? Six months from now, no one’s gonna give a damn about you! And the only thing you’re gonna swerve from is the main event scene, because there’s no way in Hell you’re winning the AEW world title.”
The fans boo but Swerve just shrugs that off. Cole says the man who IS going to win that title off Joe is Wardlow! “Very, very soon, Wardlow is gonna challenge and win the AEW World Championship. And when he does, he’s gonna bring it home to its rightful place.” Swerve laughs and says that’s funny. Funny that they’re saying Swerve should go to the back of the line. How many times has Cole had to do that? How many times has he missed out on opportunities and failed and gotten more and more and more opportunities? Matter of fact, Swerve is taking a liking to Cole’s new role as manager in this Undisputed thing.
Really, it’s amusing. Cole’s like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget, it’s really funny. And if Cole needs new clients, Swerve’s got Britt Baker’s other number in his pocket right here. Cole says Swerve thinks he’s real cute, real tough! How about this? Next week, the greatest ROH Tag Team Champions, Taven & Bennett, VS Swerve… and JOE! Swerve says why wait? Swerve and Joe are right here, Taven & Bennett are right there. Just bring your asses down and let’s make it happen! Cole says of course that’s what Swerve would say. But here’s the thing: Swerve doesn’t make the rules around here, The Undisputed Kingdom does!
Cole says the match is happening next week, no if’s, ands or buts! Well, Schiavone is getting word, here’s a but! Tony Khan has just said the match is tonight! Taven & Bennett VS Swerve & Joe, and it’s right NOW! Get us a referee! The fans fire up, The Kingdom is furious, but are Bennett & Taven going to pay the check Cole’s mouth just wrote? Joe isn’t really happy about this, either, but will he and Swerve make for a killer combination?

Joe stands over Swerve holding up the belt, will no one knock The King of Wrestling TV off his throne? We’ll see next week in Boston for AEW Big Business!
Backstage interview with Hook.
Renee Paquette is with the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil and notes “there is so much built-up animosity and history” between Hook and Brian Cage. Tonight, they go 1v1 for the FTW Championship, how is Hook feeling? But then in walks Chris Jericho. Jericho apologizes for the interruption, but he says the very first match he ever had in America as Lionheart Chris Jericho was at the ECW Arena against Hook’s dad, Taz. Taz suplex’d Jericho right on his head, and he never forgot. But he also has always had a connection to Taz because of it, so it makes Jericho feel like he has a connection to Hook.
Jericho never really respected Hook until Hook dumped him on his head this past Sunday. And after that, Jericho realized that Hook might just be the real deal. Congrats on that. Jericho and Hook fist bump and Hook heads out. Will Hook do his dad and all of ECW proud by tearing down The Machine?
The Young Bucks speak.
Matthew & Nicholas Jackson are backstage, and Matt says it is great to be here in Duluth, Georgia. Nick says they have a huge announcement! Or rather, two huge announcements. First- Oh, sorry to interrupt. Let’s make those two huge announcements live and in the ring later tonight. For now, let’s get back to the action! Given the forced delivery of those lines and the very forced smiles, the Bucks are clearly still stinging from their loss at Revolution. But just what exactly are the EVPs going to announce tonight?
FTW Championship: Hook VS Brian Cage!
The Ocho just gave the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil his seal of approval, but this isn’t about earning respect. This is about the score finally being settled by two men who were once allies under Team Taz. Will the second generation star finally prove there is someone better than Cage? Or will The Machine #SendHook home for good?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is truly FTW!

Hook lets off to fire up the fans, but Cage DUMPS him over the railing and to the ramp! Cage stomps Hook around, brings him up the ramp, and then scoops to SLAM him on the ramp! Hook writhes, Cage goes around the way and fetches some spare railing! Cage brings that railing right into the ring! Cage then kicks Hook, throws him into barriers, and then brings Hook around to RAM into more barriers!
Cage looks under the ring, brings out a kendo stick, puts that in the ring, and then brings out a trash can! The can goes into the ring, and Cage snatches the bell’s hammer! Cage CLUBS Hook with it! And CLUBS him again! Hook flounders around, Cage props up the spare railing in a corner. Cage then goes out to get a chair, and he SMACKS Hook right as Dynamite returns to single picture! Will Jericho help Hook tear down the Gates of Agony?
An AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament is about to begin!
With Sting retiring as a champion, he and Darby Allin must now vacate the titles, so AEW is about to have its own March Madness! Tony Khan believes that from start to finish, March 2024 will be one of the greatest and most important ever in AEW history. Then the only thing left is to ask is, who gets in, and who gets to be the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions?
Backstage interview with Best Friends.
Renee is with Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta, and says that Cassidy had an incredible run as International Champion, but it came to an end at Revolution. What is next for Freshly Squeezed? Um, well, same as he always does, and that’s do whatever he can to fill his backpack with another championship. Then let’s talk about the AEW Tag Team tournament. Are Chuck & Trent going to get in on the tournament? The Kentucky Gentleman says that it is about time they win the big one! Though unfortunately, the boys are not back in time, Chuck’s ankle is still hurt and he is still not cleared.
But Chuck is thinking Trent & Cassidy should get in on the tournament and win the whole dang thing! Guess what? Friday Night Rampage is their first match! Bring it in! Trent says, “Boys, it’s time to win the big one.” They count it out, three, two, one, WIN THE BIG ONE! Will Freshly Squeezed & #JustTrent become a dynamic duo that wins the gold?
“Killswitch” Luchasaurus w/ The Patriarchy VS Matthew Menard!
Christian Cage’s Right Hand of Destruction had a hand in Christian retaining the TNT Championship, just like before. But now he is going to settle things with Daddy Magic, who did his best to tip the scales in Daniel Garcia’s favor! Can Menard find a way to bring down the wrestling dinosaur once and for all?
The moment Menard’s in the ring, he rushes Luchasaurus! The bell rings, Menard fires off and the fans fire up! Luchasaurus shoves Menard down, but Menard comes back and fires off more shots! Christian has joined commentary to say he only felt it fair with Menard always hanging around Garcia’s matches. Menard climbs up a corner to rain down fists but Luchasaurus shoves him away. The fans fire up behind Menard as he clotheslines in a corner! Menard goes up to rain down more fists! Luchasaurus drags Menard down and choke grips, but Menard bends fingers! Luchasaurus goes to a corner and Menard climbs again!

Luchasaurus drags Menard up again, for the EXTINCTION LARIAT! But he’s not done!?
Luchasaurus stands Menard up and Christian says this is Luchasaurus having fun now. EXTINCTION LARIAT again! Cover, Luchasaurus wins!
Winner: Luchasaurus, by pinfall
Christian says he is a very proud father. And Luchasaurus isn’t done because this is what Menard gets for sticking his nose in the Patriarchy’s business. WAIT! Garcia runs out here to fire off shots! Christian sends Nick Wayne but Garcia fires off on him, too! Christian is furious, but Luchasaurus BOOTS Garcia down! Christian also insults Garcia’s pants. Luchasaurus sets Garcia up for WAYNE’S WORLD! Christian is proud of his “sons,” Nick has the world at his feet. “There’s nothing Nick Wayne can’t do under my guidance.” Father Christian & Mother Shayna leave commentary to walk up the ramp with The Patriarchy, will anyone ever-
WAIT! Adam Copeland is here!! And he CLOBBERS Luchasaurus from behind to TOSS him off the stage, and down through some tables!! Then he puts a SLEEPER onto Nick! Captain Charisma is too afraid of the Rated R Superstar to save his “son!” Edge pushes Nick down, then glares at Christian. But Mother Shayna sneaks up, to LOW- NO! Edge blocks that! The fans fire up and Shayna wants mercy. Edge just chases Christian instead! Christian runs away into the crowd but Edge pursues! They go to the back, cameras follow, and Christian does his best to block Edge’s path! Edge isn’t slowed down at all so Christian gets out of the building!
Christian spots a car, YANKS the driver out and takes off! Edge tells the camera that Christian ran away like a little b*tch. He knows Christian will watch this later, so Edge wants him to know this will end where it all started. Toronto, March 20th, Dynamite, Edge VS Christian 3 for the TNT Championship… in an I QUIT MATCH!! See you there, Jay. Will things go beyond Rated R to finally finish this between the former best friends?
Backstage interview with Kyle O’Reilly.
Renee is with the returning Mr. Combat and says it is so good to see him back. He has been gone nearly two YEARS! What were those two years like for him? Kyle says he hates to admit this, but for awhile, he didn’t think he would ever wrestle again. But to be here now, to be cleared, to feel the love from the fans, and to get a second chance to do the only thing he’s ever truly been good at, and a second chance to provide for his family, he’s just grateful. Renee says that moment at Revolution, Kyle in the ring with Roderick Strong & The Undisputed Kingdom, what happened out there?
Kyle says he has nothing but love and respect for The Undisputed Kingdom. But they all have to understand that Kyle has fallen so far down the mountain, he doesn’t know what path to take. He could’ve gotten back on the path with his friends, but in many ways, that’s the easy path. Kyle has this second chance, and wants to do it on his own. Then what will that new path for Kyle look like now that he’s back in AEW?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
After watching the recap package of Sting’s final match, he notes it was truly an incredible night for all of wrestling. And now, let’s welcome out our EVPs, Matthew & Nicholas, The Young Bucks! The fans boo but Nick & Matt make their way out, just as they promised earlier tonight. The Bucks even gave themselves some extra pyro, it seems. Schiavone says that’s a great entrance from them after the “ass-kicking” they took on Sunday. Nick snatches the mic and tells Schiavone to get the hell out of THEIR ring! The fans boo but Schiavone still exits, and Nick says they’re moving past that already!
Matter of fact, Nick accuses Darby & Sting of cheating! Sting brought his friends from the retirement home and even his sons, who each happen to be 6’8″ and 300 pounds! Uh, no, not really… Matt calms Nick down, and Nick says yes, Matt brings up a good point. There is something you can’t take away from The Bucks, and that is the fact they’re the EVPs, and they ended Sting’s career FOREVER~! Fans boo because Sting was retiring either way. Nick then brings up the upcoming tag team tournament. So of course, The Bucks are in it! They’re gonna get those tag titles back!
Matt says on to tonight’s agenda. They have two huge announcements. First, it is really just some housekeeping, and this is really tough now that Matt thinks about it. It pertains to their dear friends. But they are EVPs dammit and they take this job seriously. So in an effort to show there is no favoritism or bias here, The Bucks are forced. Hangman Page…! You put your hand on AEW officials last Sunday and that is crossing the line! Matt feels bad that he has to say this, but unfortunately, Hangman must be suspended indefinitely from The Elite, without pay. Wait, The Elite or AEW? Is there even really a punishment?
Continuing on, Matt isn’t even sure how to get through this one. Nick encourages him and Matt tells Kenny Omega that it’s like he disappeared off the face of the Earth or something. Kenny hasn’t made any of his dates for no good reason! Matt doesn’t understand! But Kenny has diverticulitis, that IS a big reason! Matt says as far as Kenny’s association with The Elite goes… Kenny’s fired! So, again, is this Kenny being kicked out of the little group or the company? Matt apologizes, he and Nick love them both, and apologies if both Kenny and Hangman are just finding this out on live TV. Actually, yeah, they are.
But hey, get on the group chat, the EVPs are free all weekend. Or maybe not, they don’t know. But anyway! Item number two! And Matt’s really excited for this one. He knows the fans will love it, too! Wait, Eddie Kingston is making his way out here? The Mad King, the Continental Crown Champion, brushes the cameraman aside so he can get into the ring. He has the music cut and says yeah, sorry, he’s still wearing sweatpants and Timberlands. But anyway, the “hot head” brother said if Eddie talked crap on them again, he’d be fined, right? Then do it now, b*tch, cuz he’s got something to say! Eddie even throws money at Nick!
Matt keeps Nick from attacking in return and has everyone relax. Matt tells Eddie this is unprofessional, and we should take this conversation to the back. They can talk like gentlemen, they shouldn’t air grievances on national television. But then Nick grabs at Eddie, so Eddie DECKS him! And ELBOWS Matt! Eddie CLUBS away on Nick, so Matt LOW BLOWS Eddie!! The fans boo as Eddie drops to his knees, and Nick SUPERKICKS him down! The fans boo as the Bucks sit Eddie back up, for E V P- COIN DROP!? That’s THE RAINMAKER, KAZUCHIKA OKADA! And he walks out in a great looking suit while the fans lose their minds!
Okada storms right down to the ring, the Bucks also freaking out! Okada stands by Eddie’s side and even Eddie is surprised! But then Okada gets Eddie in a ripcord!? RAINMAKER!!! Nick says THIS was their second announcement! The newest member of The Elite is THE RAINMAKER, KAZUCHIKA OKADA!! The suit should’ve given it away that Okada sold out! Okada stands over Eddie and signals that he wants the Triple Crown Championship(s)! Is Okada going to add three belts to his list of accolades with one swift clothesline?
Kris Statlander w/ Stokely Hathaway VS Riho!
The Galaxy’s Greatest won alongside Willow Nightingale during Revolution’s Zero Hour, and she is looking to get back up towards that TBS Championship. However, the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion is herself wanting to get back to the top of the mountain! Will Kris make sure she’s back in the title scene’s orbit? Or will Riho be one step closer to her former glory?

Riho ducks ‘n’ dodges, baits Kris to the ropes for a drop toehold! Kris is on the ropes as Riho dials it up, but Stokely warns Kris! Kris avoids the 619 and gets moving to run Riho over! Cover, TWO as Riho goes Matrix! Riho runs, sunset flips but Kris stays up! Kris yanks Riho right up and into a BEARHUG! Kris thrashes Riho around, Stokely likes that, and then Kris smiles as she pops Riho into a suplex! Kris holds Riho up for FIVE before the SLAM! The fans cheer, Kris drags Riho up and bumps her off buckles. Kris CHOPS, then she whips Riho into the corner again. Kris runs up, but Riho dodges!
Riho runs in to fire off forearms on Kris and the fans fire up! But Kris TOSSES Riho back in! Kris runs, but Riho BOOTS her! Riho goes up, BOOTS again, and then leaps to CROSSBODY! But Kris catches her, fireman’s carries, and just THROWS Riho down! Kris flexes and the fans cheer while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Kris drags Riho around, covers, TWO! Riho stays in this but Kris stays on her with a whip to the corner. Kris then reels Riho in to suplex, and she holds Riho up for TEN, then FIFTEEN, then TWENTY before the SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Riho is still in this though a bit dazed, but Kris brings her right up. Kris hits a BACKBREAKER, then brings Riho up for another BACKBREAKER! Then Kris bends Riho against her knee! Riho endures, so Kris picks her back up, for a SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover, TWO! Stokely is annoyed on behalf of Kris but Kris drags Riho into the body scissor squeeze! Riho endures and throws elbows into the knees!
Kris clamps on with a chinlock and she now squeezes Riho’s head. Riho fights up, throws body shots, but Kris CLUBS her. Kris CHOPS Riho against the ropes, then stalks her to the other side. kris ROCKS and CHOPS Riho again, but Riho CHOPS in return! Kris eggs Riho on so Riho CHOPS again! Kris CHOPS, Dynamite returns to single picture, and Kris CHOPS again! RIho fires forearm sin return! The fans fire up as Riho gets the edge, but Kris knees low! Kris CHOPS again, whips her to ropes, but Riho avoids the powerslam! Riho DOUBLE STOMPS Kris’ back! Then DROPKICKS her down!
The fans fire up as Kris goes to a corner. Riho runs in, to ROCK Kris, and then she rains down fists! Kris shoves Riho away, then runs up. Riho waistlocks, ducks the elbow, NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO! Kris escapes and Riho is a bit surprised, but Stokely is a bit worried. Riho climbs up the corner, takes aim, but Kris avoids the double stomp! But then Riho avoids the discus! Riho full nelsons, but Kris breaks free and DECKS Riho! Kris drags Riho up, reels her in, short arm LARIAT! Stokely likes what he sees now as Kris gets Riho up to short arm LARIAT again! Riho kicks from below but Kris stomps her down!
Kris knuckle locks and YANKS Riho right up, but Riho RANAS free! Kris is ont he ropes, Riho redials, 619!! Riho hurries up the corner while Kris staggers about! Riho leaps to CROSSBODY! But Kris rolls through with it! Only for Riho to slip out, DRAGON SUPLEX! High stack, TWO!! Kris survives and Stokely is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” as Riho pushes Kris around. Riho sits Kris up, runs from the corner, but Kris ducks the meteora! Riho bounces off buckles, Kris rolls her up to deadlift and POWERBOMB!! High stack, TWO?!? Riho survives and Kris can’t believe it! Stokely offers the chain, just like last week!
Stokely distracts the ref, and Kris crawls over to the chain!? Is Kris gonna do it?! The fans boo, but then Kris drops the chain outside the ring! The fans cheer Kris’ sense of justice, but Riho rolls her up! Kris rolls through, Riho wheelbarrows, but Kris makes that a WHEELBARROW GERMAN!! And then she deadlift GERMANS! Riho flops around, Kris waistlocks to deadlift, but Riho fights! Kris powers up, Riho victory rolls and has Kris deep, RIHO WINS!!
Winner: Riho, by pinfall
Kris is shocked, the fans are shocked, and Stokely is disappointed! But is he disappointed that he caused Kris unnecessary conflict? Or that Kris didn’t just do what he wanted? As for Riho, is she headed right for a title shot in time for AEW Dynasty?
Backstage interview with “Timeless” Toni Storm.
Renee is in the black ‘n’ white filter as she congratulates AEW’s leading lady on retaining the AEW Women’s World Championship, albeit under dubious circumstances. The camera pans over and we see that’s Mariah May in her rocker Toni cosplay. THE Toni Storm pops out from behind her to say they fooled Renee, just like they fooled that Deonna Purrazzo into thinking she had a hope in Hell at ever winning the title. Toni asks Renee, “What season is it?” Uh, Spring. Oh, so Renee only looks smart. No, dear, it is awards season! And as such, this Saturday on “Co-li-zi-on,” she will be presenting the first ever Toni Awards! Note it’s with an I so they can’t get sued.
But that reminds her! Luther! He presents Storm with Mariah May’s first ever shirt, which is in the same style as Storm’s first ever shirt. Mariah is honored, but Storm says she will be getting a cut of profits. Until next time: chin up; tits out; and watch for the- SHOE~! Storm hushes Mariah, that’s not her line. But one way or another, it seems Mariah has made her role model proud. Will they both be the top stars of the AEW Women’s Division now?
Backstage interview with Stokely Hathaway & Willow Nightingale.
Renee is with them after the unfortunate loss for Kris Statlander. What went wrong out there? Stokely chuckles and repeats, “What went wrong? Kris Statlander wanted to do things her way, but let me just say, she is one of the best female competitors we have here in AEW. She is my favorite! I just wish that she would, uh, accept the help from the ones who love her the most, y’know?” Then Renee has some good news. Next week, for Big Business, Willow goes 1v1 with Riho. That is good! Willow tells Stokely that she gets what he was trying to do, but next time, just let her do things her way.
As for Riho, Willow knows she can beat the former Women’s World Champion, and she wants to be a champion in AEW herself. She’s feeling really good after Revolution, because she and Kris beat Skye & Julia. So Julia, Willow has her sights set on your title! And Willow is going to become the Face of TBS! Just gotta get through Riho first. The Babe with the Power is ready, but will she be able to do what Kris could not?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring again.
He welcomes a man who will be facing Jay White for Big Business, who had a hell of a night at Revolution, and is/was one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Darby Allin! The fans fire up as Darby makes his way to the ring, holding one of the tag title belts in one hand, and Sting’s baseball bat in the other! Darby steps into the ring with Schiavone, and while Schiavone wants to ask what is next, we already know. Next wee, Dynamite in Boston, Darby VS Switchblade. But then the question is, what is it like for Darby without Sting? The fans chant for “DARBY! DARBY!” and he says, “This isn’t gonna be easy, Tony. It’s crazy if you think about it.
“About five years ago, I was homeless about 40 minutes from here, in downtown Atlanta. And then Sunday, I was main-eventing one of AEW’s best PPVs of all time in Sting’s retirement match. I said I’d stop at nothing to make sure his career ended with the respect it deserved, and I felt like I did just that.” The fans cheer in agreement there. Darby says he is lacerated, beat up, tired, but what’s next? Well, Big Business is him and Jay White. Then March 27th, he’s gonna climb Mount Everest! The fans cheer that, too! Darby says this is him from the heart here. There is no guarantee that he’s gonna come back alive from Everest.
But Darby wants to take this time now to tell every fan thank you, and thank you to AEW for giving him this dream. And if next week is his last-ever match, he will do what he always does, and that is go out fighting for his life! As for his tag team championship, everyone keeps asking him, “Oh, why not just keep defending it with a new partner?” Well let’s get serious here, he can’t replace The Icon! The fans feel that! So then, the next team that wins these, congrats. Darby sets the belt down, but then the Bang Bang Scissor Gang makes their way out! Or at least, the Bullet Club Gold half of it, as Jay White leads Austin & Colten out here.
White has everyone hold on now. He is sorry, he didn’t wanna interrupt this “cute little sob story.” But it’s just that Darby is such an elusive and, let’s be honest, weird guy that White wasn’t sure if he’d get a chance to talk to him backstage. So White had to come out here, Atlanta, to tell Darby that face to face, congrats on an amazing night at Revolution. The fans cheer agreement there. White tells Darby that he showed the world that he would do anything. That he’d sacrifice himself just to make sure Sting would retire a champion. Give it up for Stinger, huh? The fans cheer, and White says Darby really was ready to risk it all, jumping off that ladder!
Though, if you ask White, that was kinda stupid. “Our esteemed EVPs” moved outta the way, and Darby… Well, White really likes this part. Darby went crashing through glass all by himself! That left poor old Sting all by himself to fight 2v1 against the Bucks! But luckily Sting prevailed. He had that heartwarming sendoff to his career he oh-so deserved, and Darby was there by Sting’s side to enjoy that moment. Well, White didn’t see it, but he’s heard about it, because it is all anyone is talking about. But between White, Darby and Atlanta (as well as everyone watching right now), White doesn’t really care.
Fans boo but White says that what he does care about is, Sting is gone~! And Darby’s all alone~! And what is Darby without Sting? He’s a little lost puppy, no one there to feed him treats or clean up after him, or to… hold his leash. And now, Darby has a match with the Switchblade, Jay White! The Catalyst of Pro-Wrestling! That is why White is here. He wants to tell Darby that they don’t even need to have this match. Just like Darby didn’t have to jump off that ladder, Darby doesn’t have to get in the ring with White. And trust White when he says this: Nobody in the back, nobody here in Atlanta and nobody watching at home would think less of Darby.
No one would think less of Darby after what he’s been through both physically, mentally and emotionally. The fans boo but White says that Darby should know, if he gets into the ring with White, there’s a lot worse that can happen than just some scratches. So here’s a better idea! This is how they can preserve their precious Darby Allin! Instead of a match, Darby can hang with the bang Bang Scissor Gang! They even have a nickname for Darby! Ready to hear it, Atlanta? Does Darby wanna hear it? It’s Darby Scissorhands! He looks like he loves playing with scissors, given that shirt. So throw ’em up, join the team, and he can scissor Daddy Ass!
Darby asks if White’s done. Yeah, he’s done. Then Darby will get right to the point. White main-evented Tokyo Dome twice, won titles all around the world, then came to AEW, and done what? Played with cardboard cutouts? Darby doesn’t believe the hype! They ARE gonna have this match, and if White is as good as he thinks, he’d show up alone. White smirks, but then Darby whispers something to him. White gets serious now, he looks to the Gunn sons, then turns around, and Darby presses the bat to White’s neck! The Gunns have White cool off, the match is happening. Darby tells him, “I’ll see you at Big Business, baby.”
Bullet Club Gold heads out, but will Darby soon Breathe With The Switchblade in Bean Town?
Julia Hart speaks.
With Skye Blue by her side, the TBS Champion says, “The worst feeling in the world isn’t loneliness, but to be forgotten. And Willow, it seems you’ve forgotten who I am. I am the Princess of the Black Throne, Keeper of Secrets, and the TBS Champion. And on Friday night on Rampage, I will be issuing an Open House for anyone who needs reminding of who the TBS Champion is.” The warning has been issued, who will ignore it to get their shot at the champ?
The House of Black speaks.
Buddy Matthews tells Mark Briscoe that he got himself into this situation, and they will eradicate him for it. They will fight fire with fire. Buddy chuckles, but then says no, seriously, they will set Mark ablaze. Brody King says, “The history of violence between myself and the Briscoe brothers has left scars in our bodies that neither of us will forget. And on Saturday at Collision, history repeats itself.” Malakai Black says, “This pain, Mark, that you feel inside your chest… We will make sure that it’s surpassed by the physical, that us, the merciful House of Black, will inflict upon you.” Brody adds, “Just let us know if we need to dig one grave, or three.”
Julia sings, “It burns, burns, burns~, that ring of fire…” The House has issued a chilling challenge, and speaking of Mark Briscoe…!
Backstage interview with Mark Briscoe.
Renee is with the Sussex County Chicken and asks his response. Mark is supposed to be scared now? They got the wrong one! He done walked through the fire and the flames, he’s danced with the devil, did a Tennessee two-step on that sorry b*tch! He fears no man, fears no evil, so let’s just do it! Saturday Night Collision, Atlanta Street Fight, he’ll take y’all on by himself! Mark doesn’t even need nobody! But then in steps Jay Lethal. And Lethal says it is about time he #ManUp and help his friend of over 20 years. Plus, he loves Mark, man! Letha’s got Mark’s back. Mark says okay, just don’t bring Jarrett with him.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, c’mon! They’re gonna go to war together! They’re gonna step onto that battlefield together! If it’s an Atlanta Street Fight, what better person to have on their side than a lowdown, grimy bastard like Double J? That’s fighting fire with fire. And besides, Mark doesn’t have to trust Jarrett. He just has to trust Lethal. Mark fist bumps with Lethal, and it seems it’ll be a Six Man Street Fight! Will Mark, Lethal & Jarrett tear down The House of Black? Or will the House Always Win?
BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!
The Open House challenge was issued, and it has been accepted! Robyn Renegade takes her shot, but will the Princess of the Black Throne take Robyn out first? Plus, Penta El Zero Miedo gets back in action against Action Andretti, and the rest of their amigos battle it out as we have a Triple Threat Tag Team match of Top Flight VS Komander & Bryan Keith VS Private Party! And of course, Cassidy & Trent have their first match as a two-man duo, going up against Kip Sabian & The Butcher! Who makes big strides towards the upcoming AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
Chris Jericho is continuing to “welcome” CMLL luchadores to AEW as he now takes on Titan! El Inmortal is not just in CMLL, but he is part of Los Ingobernables de Japon, will he look to make The Ocho tranquilo? Then, Mariah May looks to keep her win streak going, will she continue to make Toni Storm proud? Plus, Bryan Danielson gets back in action as he takes on Shane Taylor. The BCC already beat STP before, but will Bad Boy Shaney T. be able to slay the American Dragon? And after his shocking debut, and subsequent selling out, Kazuchika Okada joins Matthew & Nicholas Jackson in the debut of the NEW Elite! Will the Rainmaker & Bucks be in the money from here on out?
Don Callis Family Feud: Will Ospreay VS Kyle Fletcher!
The Aerial Assassin went toe to toe with one of the rope-to-rope best wrestlers in the world today, and then won out to establish himself as THE best. However, he must fight another ally of his, and this man is as close to him as a brother. Will the #BillyGoat not show any mercy to the Aussie Arrow? Or will Kyle prove that while Ospreay led the United Empire, he wasn’t the best in the United Empire?
The bell rings and the two high-five and hug it out, which the fans cheer. The two circle, the fans fire up and sing “Ospreay~, Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~! Ospreay~, Ospreay~!” Ospreay and Fletcher tie up, Fletcher wrenches to wristlock, but Ospreay rolls, trips Fletcher and has the toehold. Fletcher hooks Ospreay to go for the armbar but Ospreay rolls and slips around to a facelock. Fletcher rolls, Ospreay rolls with him, and then floats around to waistlock then headlock. Fletcher powers out, Ospreay RAMS him! Fletcher rebounds to run Ospreay over! But then Ospreay kips right up!
The fans cheer, the two grin at each other, and things speed up. Ospreay drops down then arm-drags, but Fletcher headscissors, Ospreay kicks free, Fletcher kicks and whips, but Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Fletcher goes to the apron. Ospreay storms over, brings Fletcher back in, and CLUBS him. Fletcher goes to a corner, Ospreay UPPERCUTS, then Ospreay follows Fletcher to another corner. Ospreay whips Fletcher corner to corner. Fletcher goes up but Ospreay stays back, and he CHOPS! Ospreay whips, Fletcher reverses hard and Ospreay bounces off buckles! Ospreay writhes, still hurting from Revolution, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Fletcher soaks up the cheers and jeers while Ospreay sits up. Fletcher helps Ospreay up and the two reset. They shake hands, showing there is still respect here, but then Fletcher kicks low! And CHOPS! Ospreay goes to the corner, Fletcher shoves him and fires forearms. Ospreay bumps Fletcher off buckles, fires forearms in return, then goes up to rain down fists! Ospreay goes all the way to TEN, then he brings Fletcher around to UPPERCUT! Ospreay whips, but Fletcher reverses to scoop and SLAM! Fletcher dusts himself off, then stomps Ospreay down. Fletcher brings Ospreay up, and ROCKS him!
Ospreay goes to a corner, Fletcher is on him, and now Fletcher rains down fists! Fletcher goes to nine, then winds up, but lets off. Fletcher then BOOTS Ospreay down, and takes a bow. Ospreay stands, Fletcher brings him around, and Fletcher whips Ospreay to ropes, to then ELBOW him down! Cover, ONE!! Ospreay shows his grit but Fletcher clamps on with a chinlock. Ospreay endures as Fletcher leans on him and the fans rally up. Ospreay stands, throws body shots, but Fletcher CLUBS him! Ospreay snarls, and he CHOPS in return! And CHOPS again! And CHOPS again! Ospreay whips, Fletcher reverses, but Dynamite returns to single picture as Ospreay hits the NEURALIZER!
Both men are down and the fans fire up! Ospreay watches Fletcher bail out, and the fans fire up with “OI! OI! OI!” Ospreay PLANCHAS and down goes Fletcher! Ospreay even dabs for TJP and the Empire. Ospreay puts Fletcher in, gets him up, and hits a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Fletcher is still in this but Ospreay brings Fletcher up. Ospreay reels Fletcher in, but Fletcher resists the bomb! Ospreay gives Fletcher Kawada Kicks, then winds up to CHOP! Ospreay calls his shot, but Fletcher SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALFS first! Ospreay is in the corner, Fletcher runs to GAMANGIRI! Suplex, BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, TWO!!
Ospreay writhes and clutches an arm while Fletcher keeps his focus. “This is Awesome!” as Fletcher paces around. Fletcher drags Ospreay up, but Ospreay CHOPS! Fletcher brushes that off to CHOP in return! The fans fire up and Ospreay can’t help but smile. Ospreay and Fletcher shake hands, but that’s also to wristlock while they CHOP back and forth! The fans “WOO~!” with every CHOP, and then Ospreay CHOPS Fletcher high! Fletcher sputters and drops to his knees, but Ospreay puts his hands behind his back. Fletcher stands, winds up, and SUPERKICKS! Fletcher soaks up the heat, but then brings Ospreay up.
Fletcher whips, Ospreay holds ropes then dodges to ROLLING ELBOW Fletcher! And HOOK KICK! Then springboard, OS- NO, Fletcher gets under to Electric Chair, and- NO, Ospreay fights! Ospreay RAN- NO! Fletcher blocks the rana, swings Ospreay back up, but Ospreay pops free to DDT!! The fans are thunderous and Callis is loving this on commentary! Ospreay goes to the corner, prepares the elbow, and Fletcher sits up, into the HIDDEN- NO! Fletcher ducks the blade, scoops Ospreay, and LAWN DARTS him into buckles! Ospreay and Fletcher are both down, and the fans chant “BRUV! BRUV! BRUV!” “This is Awesome!”
Ospreay crawls his way to the apron, but Fletcher joins him out there. Fletcher brings Ospreay up, scoops him, but Ospreay fights free! HOOK KICK! Ospreay uses the corner to go up and up, fort the APRON OSCUTTER!! The fans fire up again while the ref checks both men! They’re both still in this, somehow, so Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ring count starts, both men stir at about 3 of 10, but time is not on their side. Ospreay stands at 4, rolls in at 6, but Fletcher is still down at 7! Fletcher hears the count, and he springs in at 9.5! Ospreay goes COAST2COAST! Then he hauls Fletcher up, TIGER DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Fletcher survives and Ospreay is surprised! Ospreay crawls over, sits Fletcher up, and throws a forearm! Fletcher flops right over and Ospreay smiles. Ospreay eggs Fletcher on, so Fletcher sits up to forearm Ospreay! Ospreay stays up, and he returns the forearm! Fletcher sits up, and he forearms again. Ospreay stands, so does Fletcher, and the forearms keep going!
Ospreay ROCKS Fletcher and Fletcher wobbles and staggers around! Ospreay eggs Fletcher on, so Fletcher steadies himself and comes back to ROCK Ospreay! Dynamite returns to single picture once again as Ospreay CHOPS! And CHOPS! Fletcher falls back against ropes but Ospreay eggs him on to show him what he’s got! Callis feels like a proud older brother, and Schiavone points out he’d have to be much older. Fletcher fires himself up, fires a flurry of forearms, then runs into the TIGER WALL KICK! And ENZIGIRI! Ospreay gets moving, but Fletcher CALF KICKS at the ropes! Fletcher scoops, but Ospreay turns things around!
Fletcher turns it back around, pops Ospreay up, but Ospreay POISON-RANAS!! Fletcher staggers into a corner, bounces off ropes, and flops to the mat! The fans are thunderous as Ospreay goes up top! But Fletcher springs up to shove Ospreay down! Ospreay gets stuck on the crossbar, and then Fletcher climbs up behind him! Fletcher nelsons, but Ospreay fires elbows, so Fletcher CLUBS away! Fletcher gets Ospreay up again, SUPER HALF ‘N’ HALF!! But Ospreay lands on his feet?!? The fans are electric and Fletcher is shocked! Ospreay grins, Fletcher runs in, but Ospreay slips up and around, LIGER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!!

A E DUB!” for giving us this match! Ospreay crawls his way to a corner, Fletcher goes to the other. Fletcher runs in corner to corner, to GAMANGIRI! Fletcher then puts Ospreay up top, climbs up after him, and brings Ospreay up. Fletcher suplexes, but Ospreay slips free!
Ospreay tucks Fletcher in, for CHEEKY NANDOS! Ospreay then goes out, up, and around to SUPER POISON-RANA!!! Fletcher stands?! Into the HIDDEN BLADE!!! Cover, TWO?!?!?! HOW?!?!? The fans are volcanic, they want these two to “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow! Ospreay vows to end this, and he drags Fletcher up. Fletcher throws floppy punches but Ospreay gives him Kawada Kicks! Ospreay eggs Fletcher on, and Fletcher stands to get in Ospreay’s face! Fletcher fires a forearm, and another, and another! Fletcher is still in this but Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Fletcher is superhuman like Ospreay was at Revolution, but Ospreay takes off the elbow pad! Fletcher sits up, dares Ospreay to do it face to face, so Ospreay says good on him. HIDDEN BLADE TO THE FACE!!! Cover, Ospreay wins!
Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall
Don Callis of course takes credit for this amazing main event, but there’s no doubting that this was an amazing main event! Callis joins his Family in the ring as Ospreay and Fletcher shake hands. But wait! Bryan Danielson makes his way out here? The American Dragon steps to the Aerial Assassin, and the fans are fired up for this stare down! When and where will we see these two give us this dream match?
My Thoughts:
An awesome Dynamite here, with not just a good looking new stage and a fairly good looking new logo, but also a lot of build towards pretty much everything coming up on the schedule. For one, Okada showing up but to be a Heel was a huge surprise. I suppose this has been a long time coming, though, as Okada has been bordering on Heel for some time now. A change of venue and a change in his character is good stuff for Okada to make his signing with AEW feel fresh as opposed to some sort of rehash of what he’d been doing in NJPW. And him specifically joining The Bucks to basically replace Kenny & Hangman in The Elite was also a big surprise, perhaps Okada will be like AEW’s “Corporate Champion” with The Bucks stacking the deck for him.
Speaking of stacking the deck, pretty sure we’re gonna see shenanigans from The Bucks in the tag team tournament. The video package they used to introduce it pretty much hinted at who is in it, and you can bet that both FTR and Mox-Claudio will meet again, probably in the semifinals. And it’d be very fitting in story that FTR VS Bucks is the finals to crown the new champions. The other semifinal team is probably going to be Cassidy & Trent. The Best Friends had a good promo to plug Cassidy & Trent getting in on things, but there’s a very good chance they lose out, and maybe that creates a rift between Trent and Cassidy. Trent has felt like he’s bordering on being a Heel, much like Okada. Could Trent betray Best Friends to join Okada in New Elite, given their friendship through NJPW’s Chaos?
Great promo from Darby to not just say one last goodbye to Sting but to also spark a possible feud with Jay White. Though, Darby made things really real in talking about Mount Everest, and he also has a point that he’s taking one of the biggest risks anyone could take. Let’s all hope and pray that Darby will be safe and sound both going up and down Everest so that he can come back, feud with White, and maybe even get himself into the world title scene. Speaking of which, awesome stuff out of that scene, with a great promo from Swerve and Joe, then great stuff from Cole and Swerve, and then a great match from Joe & Swerve VS Kingdom.
Joe & Swerve of course won, and then Joe chokes Swerve out to stand tall going into his match with Wardlow next week. But even with that, I don’t see Wardlow winning. Joe and Swerve deserve a 1v1 match for the world title at Dynasty, and maybe Wardlow ends up feuding with the rest of The Undisputed Kingdom after he fails to grab the world title for Cole. I could see Wardlow getting the International Championship off Roddy, that’d at least give him some other accomplishment to add to being a former TNT Champion. And good promo from Kyle, it put into words what we saw at Revolution, and there’s still a lot of potential for Kyle feuding with Undisputed Kingdom because his “friends” can’t accept that he wants to do things solo.
Great FTW Championship match for Hook and Cage, and great win for Hook. Jericho of course has to get in on Hook’s story, but I suppose him helping Hook against the Gates of Agony is a logical move, too. I almost feel like this is going to turn a corner and Jericho has a FTW Championship match with Hook just because so that Jericho can put Hook over like Jericho did with Cassidy. And really fun promo from Toni Storm with Mariah May where Mariah is clearly still cosplaying Toni’s old persona. Can’t wait to see Toni put herself over time and again with her Toni Awards, and maybe Deonna comes back for revenge and a rematch at Dynasty.
Riho VS Kris was great stuff, and great use of internal conflict as Kris did hold the chain in her hand. Riho winning to add to that story was good stuff, and good promo from Willow to hype up her match with Riho. I know Willow wants after Julia Hart but I can’t be sure if Willow really does beat Riho. Julia had a good promo to plug a TBS Championship match, she’ll of course win, and one way or another, she’s facing either Willow or Kris at Dynasty. And then good promos from House of Black but also Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal. The Six Man Street Fight is going to be awesome, though Buddy saying he’ll literally burn Mark almost made me think Inferno match.
Then just an awesome, PPV level main event from Ospreay VS Fletcher, both guys looking amazing. Ospreay of course wins, though, but then Bryan showing up was great stuff. Bryan VS Ospreay for Dynasty will be huge stuff, and will go a long way in putting Ospreay on track for the AEW World Championship for All In: London II. And yeah, you gotta know that’s the long term plan. What else would you do for the return to Wembley now that Will Ospreay is full-time All Elite?
My Score: 9/10

PLAY BY PLAY
MJF arrives backstage.
Renee Paquette is there to bring up tonight’s main event is Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW World Championship. If Darby Allin wins, MJF will then have to sign a contract for Title VS Hair at Double or Nothing. Darby has made it clear that if MJF doesn’t sign said contract, Darby will never allow MJF to face him for the title again. We all know how important the title is for MJF, but is MJF willing to put his hair on the line for it? MJF just chuckles and moves on, but he notices the very bald Rick Knox, Bryce Remsburg, and the head of security, David Aponte. And then various bald members of the production staff…
And then even Christopher Daniels & Sonjay Dutt are there! Daniels and Sonjay chuckle before moving on, and then MJF sees John Silver flexing. Brandon Cutler, some arena staff, and even Tommaso Ciampa, all bald. Then last but certainly not least, Ricochet! He tells MJF that don’t worry, he’ll look great. Just not as good as Ricochet. AHA~! MJF storms off, will he have no choice but to choose between gold belt and chrome dome?
10 Man Tag: Orange Cassidy, Adam Copeland, Christian Cage & The Young Bucks VS Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, Clark Connors & FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway!
While we know the AEW World Tag Team Championship match will be a conglomeration of I Quit Match and New York Street Fight, THE Conglomeration will be waiting on the other side for their own tag title match. And let’s not forget that Matt & Nick Jackson want their own shot at those titles again. With that, can Freshly Squeezed work together with C&C and The Bucks? Or will the Psycho Killer, the Dogs, and the Top Guys all stand tall on the road to Double or Nothing?
The teams sort out and the teams just brawl it out! The fans cheer as The Bucks have The Dogs, Cope is after Ciampa, Christian is after Cash, and Dax brawls with Cassidy! Dax bumps Cassidy off buckles but Cassidy ducks the haymaker to waistlock. The Bucks, Cope & Christian clear everyone else out, then take the brawl outside! Dax ROCKS Cassidy to send him out, and the fans fire up as Matt fires hands on 100 Proof right by commentary! Ciampa whips Cope but Cope reverses, sending Ciampa into barriers! Cash sends Christian into railing, then CLOBBERS Cassidy! Nick fires hands on Finlay, Cassidy sends Cash into railing!
Cassidy and Dax meet in the ring, Dax ROCKS and CHOPS Cassidy, but Nick sends Finlay into railing! Dax DECKS Cassidy, throws hands on Cope, but Cope fires back! Another star-studded 10 Man Tag, and it was a huge win for all the hungry contenders. Christian doesn’t wanna celebrate, but he does signal that he and Cope will be champions. Will putting their tag team legacy on the line be enough to take the gold? Or will Double or Nothing be the last night that team reeks of awesomeness?
Will Ospreay continues to train with The Death Riders.
They’re outside this time, Claudio Castagnoli playing some wall ball with Marina Shafir and Pac. Daniel Garcia says, “Tonight is the night that we’ve all been waiting for: The Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, is cleared and back on Dynamite. And rumor has it, the kid’s been working real hard and he’s got some new tricks up his sleeves. So Young Boy Billy, tonight you gotta show me something, c’mon.” Garcia gets a quick turn in on wall ball while cameras move over. Ospreay is maintaining a neck bridge while Jon Moxley uses Wheeler Yuta as a living dummy to show just how to push and pull and bend and twist on the various chinlocks and headlocks.
Use the right arm to push against the head, then snake in the left arm for the sleeper. Pry and shoot. Moxley asks how Ospreay feels. Ospreay lets off the bridge and says honestly, the best he’s felt in forever. Moxley asks if Ospreay remembers the night he won the Best of the Super Juniors. Yeah, 2019. AKA a lifetime ago. Ospreay was carefree, flew like a bird, for no other reason than that’s just what birds do. So simple back then, chasing that feeling, like no other feeling in the world. Can’t really grab it in your hands for more than a few seconds. The joy of doing it. Then everybody comes in and tries to make it so overcomplicated.
Years pass, life happens, a family starts, responsibilities show up, bad things happen, bad choices catch up to you, and it’s all weight on your shoulders. You feel like you can’t fly. But Moxley will tell you something: Nothing is different. Nothing has changed. All those things are still gonna be there, but you can still fly. You’re just more dangerous now. You’re a bird of prey. So tonight, when you got out there, don’t go out there to protect anything. Not your neck, your image, your reputation, or what you’ve built in your career. Go out there to give something. Moxley checks on Yuta and says dammit, if you’re gonna snap a headlock, snap the headlock!
Moxley storms off to instruct his pupil, but will Ospreay use everything he has been taught to great effect? Or will he have to fold against Ace Austin?
Chris Jericho speaks.
“You wanna face Jericho in a match of my own design, Ricochet? A spectacle so innovative, so imaginative, it cannot be contained, it can only be witnessed. Well, be careful what you demand, because you’ve made a few enemies yourself, Ricochet. And now a match designed specifically to settle scores without any, and I mean AAANY~, limitations has gotten even bigger.” Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate were just looking for two more, but “Jungle” Jack Perry said he can bring four: himself, The Young Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! Jericho tells Ricochet that this is no longer what he designed, but it is a devil’s dance of destruction! Ricochet’s destruction!
Ricochet got what he wanted, now can he handle it? Bald. The first-ever SEVEN VS SEVEN Stadium Stampede, who will even survive?
Ricochet & The Demand respond.
They stand with Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family and Ricochet says we all know Jericho does a lot of talking out of his ass while The Demand gets things done. Just like Davis did when he defeated Jack for the AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell. Hold it with pride, Davis, Ricochet knows you’ll do it well. Davis says he’s got this. Ricochet says Davis has joined the dream team, but he’s not the only one. Because compliments to Ricochet’s golfing buddy, Don Callis, look who else he’s sending: Andrade El Idolo! Gracias, amigo. But it doesn’t stop there, the train keeps rolling. Ricochet was just approached by two guys who have an ax to grind with the superkick sidekicks.
These two wanna fill out the last two spots, so who is Ricochet to say no to The Dogs? Finlay & Connors storm in, and Finlay says to put it simple, they will fight The Bucks in the streets, in the ring, but guess it’s fighting at Double or Nothing! If they want violence, if they want carnage, if they want chaos, who better than The Dogs?! The Dogs bark and Liona roars, but will these seven stand tall in the Big Apple?

At Stadium Stampede, bring your friends, bring any weapon you want, and I will crack you over the skull with it. Because anything goes. But after that, it’s back to grass roots, because it is you and me, fighting for a shot at the world title at All In: London. That might’ve been Ospreay’s first win by submission ever! He signals that his neck is no longer a problem, and he shows Ace respect for that fight. Ace accepts the handshake again, and Ospreay is moving on towards Double or Nothing with a great amount of momentum. But wait! SAMOA JOE is here! He and The Opps walk out on stage, and with mic in hand, Joe says, “Ospreay, Ospreay… OSPREAY, OSPREAY!” Joe is clearly mocking the chants for Ospreay, and the fans give genuine chanting and even singing in return. Joe says he just wanted to make sure Ospreay was listening, because these past few weeks, it seemed like Ospreay had a hard time hearing him.
Despite Ospreay’s best efforts, fate has put them on a collision course in the opening round of the Owen Hart Cup. The fans like the sound of that! Joe say she is here for one reason and one reason alone. He wants to speak about choices and consequences. Ospreay could’ve made the right choice and get a bye in this tournament, because that is what Joe would do for one of his friends. But Ospreay chose poorly. He could’ve been with the team that would do nothing but support and enhance Ospreay, but he decided to be a lapdog for Moxley and the Death Riders. The fans boo, Ospreay says he’s not a Death Rider.
Joe says Ospreay has made his choice, and come Double or Nothing, Joe makes Ospreay suffer the consequences. But Joe leaves Ospreay in peace tonight, for he has his date with destiny. But unfortunately, Joe’s friends, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens, still feel slighted, and he doesn’t put leashes on his friends. Shibata & Bowens storm down the ramp, Ospreay ready to fight them both if he has to. But then The Death Riders appear! Ospreay may not have officially joined the club, but the Death Riders aren’t going to let their investment go to waste! The Opps say they’re #NeverLacking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now!
Shibata & Bowens back down while Moxley, Marina, Claudio, Yuta, Garcia & Pac all step up to support Ospreay. Joe says, “Soon. Soon.” The fans cheer the Death Riders, or at least Moxley, but Bowens promises Joe is gonna kill you, Ospreay! The dream match for Double or Nothing is on, but will the training with The Death Riders make Ospreay the new King of Harts?

If you liked last week’s THREE HOUR block of AEW, then you’ll love this next one! Portland, Maine, the last Wednesday before Double or Nothing, Dynamite & Collision are combining forces again! Three hours all on TBS and HBO Max, make sure your DVR is set accordingly!
Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is now with The Invisible Hand & The Alpha, saying tonight is a huge opportunity in the main event, Konosuke facing Darby Allin for THE AEW World Championship. Konosuke could be heading into Double or Nothing as a- Callis stops Renee there to say Konosuke will be heading into Double or Nothing as a DOUBLE champion! But then MJF steps in, apologizes for the interruption but says Renee’s doing a great job. The Scumbag tells Konosuke that while it’s been a minute since the two of them have talked, three years actually, back when MJF beat him… MJF has seen Konosuke develop into truly one of the best wrestlers in the world!
MJF believes that tonight, Konosuke beats Darby for the title, goes to DON to beat Okada, and MJF can’t think of a better match than Konosuke VS MJF Part 2 for the world title. How’s that sound? MJF offers a handshake, Konosuke shakes his hand, but in Japanese, Konosuke tells MJF that he’ll beat the crap out of him. Thankfully, MJF doesn’t know Japanese. Callis says that was a nice pep talk MJF just gave, and MJF says yes, he knows. That kid needs to win, okay? MJF can’t let Darby turn him into some disgusting, bald freak! No offense, Callis looks great. But look, there is only one foolproof way to know MJF won’t be put in that situation.
So if things get hairy… MJF hands over the Dynamite Diamond Ring! Callis smiles, and say she understands what to do with it. But then in steps Andrade. El Idolo takes off his hat to shake out his amazing head of hair, and smiles at MJF. MJF frowns and leaves. Callis says here’s the deal: Takeshita will bring the world title home to the Don Callis Family tonight! Andrade asks, “How you know?” Callis says aye dios mio, he seriously doesn’t know where Andrade learned English. Andrade says one way or another, the next time, that will be HIS title. Callis says yes, he knows, it’s all good. Callis is a man of many talents, but will his family be dripping with gold thanks to a diamond ring?
AEW now announces the Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament brackets!
Double or Nothing will see Willow Nightingale, the reigning Queen of Harts, take on Alex Windsor, while we will see Persephone VS Hazuki, Skye Blue vs Sareee, and Mina Shirakawa VS Athena! Champions from around the world are gathering for this tournament, but who will be headed to Forbidden Door, and then All In: London?
Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.
Renee Paquette is now with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Willow Nightingale. Renee commends Cassidy on his part in the 10 Man Tag victory. But it seems that there is even more business to attend to. Cassidy says yes, the team has a shot at THE AEW World Tag Team Championships. It doesn’t matter who it is, they’re getting their shot, but the thing is… They still haven’t decided on which two will be. Kyle says Cassidy & Roddy should go for the gold, but Roddy shouts, “KYYYLE~! Thank you.” Kyle says of course. But that’s cuz he’s got gold to chase for himself!
The same man that put Kyle on the shelf for months is the man that Kyle submitted twice, and will submit again. Jon Moxley, Continental Champion, when are we doing this? Willow says speaking of gold, she is still the TBS Champion. But she is also in the Owen Hart Cup. She won this tournament before, she’ll do it all over again, so that she can have all the gold for herself at All In: London. She knows she can, and she will! Then Conglomeration has it all in order? Cassidy says hold on, there’s something missing. They should do a Word of the Day. Why haven’t they done one in so long? Roddy shouts for “MAAARK~!” And yes, Mark Briscoe returns!
The Sussex County Chicken is all fired up, and he says the Word of the day is reunification! For Mark Briscoe is back with his boys and his girls, The Conglomeration! But he’ll put this plain and simple: Tommaso Ciampa! Next Wednesday, Briscoe’s after your ass, son! You hear him? But before that, Saturday Night Collision is in HIS hometown, Salisbury, Maryland! That’s just 4.4 miles from where Briscoe originated on this earth! They’re gonna conglomerate and it’s gonna be a a hell of a time! Are you ready!? Willow and Kyle are fired up, Briscoe goes wild, and the team heads out. Cassidy admits, that was a lot of yelling.
But while The Conglomeration is ready to go Double or Nothing, will they soon have even more gold in the collection? Or are these high and lofty a little too much even for them?
Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds VS The Triangle of Madness!
With the news of both the AEW Women’s World Championship Fatal 4 Way for Double or Nothing, and the Owen Hart Cup brackets, this trios match is about much more than just settling scores! Will the Shining Samurai be just as sharp as Jamie Hayter going into that title match? Or will Thekla, Skye Blue & Julia Hart continue to bring them down by any means necessary?
The trios sort out and Jamie steps up against Thekla as both a rematch from their 1v1 title match, and a preview of what’s to come in the next. They circle, but then Skye CLOBBERS Jamie! Julia steps in, but so do Shida and Windsor! The Triangle throws hands on Shida & The Birds, then triple whip. But all three reverse, a BOOT for Thekla, a DDT for Skye, and a BACKBREAKER for Julia! The fans cheer as The Triangle bails out! Shida goes out to keep after Skye while Windsor goes after Julia. Jamie gets Thekla back in the ring while Shida and Windsor have the Sisters of Sin in the corners of the barriers. The fans cheer as they all rain down fists!
Windsor, Jamie & Shida all go to nine, then wind up for TEN! The fans cheer again while Thekla sputters. Jamie snap suplexes, but Skye ROCKS Shida! Jamie stomps Thekla, Windsor SLAMS Julia off barriers, and Jamie stomps a mudhole in the corner. The ref counts, Jamie lets off, but Skye and Windsor meet while tightrope walking the barriers! Skye and Windsor trade shots, they wobble a bit, then Skye DECKS Windsor! Skye keeps from falling into the crowd, but Jamie gets her! Windsor joins in and the Birds double gorilla press, SNAKE EYES off the apron! The fans fire up, but Thekla is up top! SUPER CROSSBODY onto The Birds!
The fans fire up again and Thekla is feeling it while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Thekla stomps Windsor, CLUBS Jamie, then helps Skye. But Shida runs up, only for Thekla to ELBOW her down! The Triangle has control again, they ROCK Jamie and Shida and Windsor, then send them all to the desk. The Triangle CHOP again and again and again! Then they wind up, but feint chops to SMACK all three off the apron! The Triangle soaks up the cheers and jeers before putting Jamie back in the ring. Thekla brings Jamie up, snapmares her down, then basement SUPERKICKS! Cocky cover, TWO! Thekla drags Jamie to the corner, tags Julia, and Julia runs up to LARIAT! Then she goes side to side to ELBOW Jamie down!
Julia snapmares Jamie to a cover, TWO! Julia is annoyed but she rains down fists. The ref reprimands, Julia stops, but then she sucker punches Windsor! And Shida, too! Julia then drags Jamie over, bumps her off buckles, and tags in Skye. Skye stomps Jamie around, then digs her boot in! The ref counts, Skye stops at 4, then she brings Jamie up. Jamie fires forearms and CHOPS, but Skye THROWS Jamie down by her hair! The ref reprimands again but Skye rains down forearms. Skye snapmares Jamie, mule kicks her, then covers, TWO! Skye frowns but she stomps Jamie down. Skye tags Julia while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Skye whips Jamie into Julia’s grasp, and Skye BLASTS Shida & Windsor while Julia tags Thekla. Julia has Jamie in the TARANTULA, and Skye sends Windsor in for Thekla’s HANGING HEADSCISSORS! Skye runs up to DOUBLE SHOTGUN The Birds! The fans are torn but Thekla says that’s how the Triangle does it, baby! Thekla then aims to MISSILE- NO, Jamie gest under! Thekla lands out, but Jamie BOOTS her down! Jamie looks at Shida, Shida is hesitant, but Shida tags in! The fans cheer as Shida sends Theknla to the corner, then JUMP KNEES! Shida keeps moving, she BLASTS Skye! Julia ROCKS Shida back!
Julia storms in but Shida kicks her and whips her into Thekla! Shida KNEES them both in the corner! Then Shida puts Thekla sideways in the corner, reels Julia in, and she snap suplexes Julia into Thekla! The fans fire up as Shida then suplexes Thekla high and hard! Cover, TWO! Shida stands Thekla up, Thekla swings but Shida ROCKS her first! And ROCKS her again! Thekla wobbles, swings, but Shida catches Thekla for another forearm! Shida runs the ropes but Thekla mule kicks! Thekla SMACKS Shida, then she dodges a boot to DECK Shida! Thekla talks trash on Shida, then drags her up to tag in Julia.
Julia tags Skye, then tag back to Thekla. The Sisters of Sin hit the DOUBLE GOURD BUSTER and DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Thekla hits the bridge, and she aims for the SPIDER SPEAR! Cover, but The Birds CLOBBER The Sisters of Sin onto it! The fans fire up a Windsor DECKS Skye and Jamie HEADBUTTS Julia! The Birds drag Shida to safety, Windsor tags in, and she CLOBBERS Thekla! Windsor CLUBS away, then fires the fans up. Jamie steps in, BOOT RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP COMBO! Basement LARIAT! And then Windsor lifts! Jamie runs up, but Skye trips Jamie! The fans boo but Skye sends Jamie into steel steps!
Thekla sends Windsor into buckles! Tag to Julia before Shida runs up, TAMASHII KNEE on Thekla! Skye SUPERKICKS Shida! Jamie is back to clinch and HAYTBREAKER! Julia runs up, slips around, SOLE FOOD! Julia kips up, but Windsor is there to whip Julia to ropes! Skye tags in before the SPINEBUSTER! Skye SUPERKICKS Windsor, then brings her up! Skye hops on, CODE- NO, Windsor pops free! Skye SUPERKICKS again, but Windsor HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Jamie joins in again, and they DOUBLE LARIAT SANDWICH! Then they set Skye up, and Jamie says let’s try this again!
Jamie runs the ropes, but Thekla slides in, BELT SHOT on Jamie!! No question that the ref saw that! The Triangle is disqualified!
Winners: Hikaru Shida & The Brawling Birds, by disqualification
The Toxic Spider doesn’t care about this win, she just wants to do damage! Skye gets Windsor in a DRAGON SLEEPER! The ref stops Thekla from sing the title belt again, so Thekla just takes off her own belt! And she LASHES Windsor while Skye holds her down! More refs rush out here, but Julia MISTS the newbie in the face! Julia stomps away on Jamie, not caring about fines or consequences, either! The fans boo, and Shida is bailing on the Birds? Shida cares more about her chances in that Fatal 4 Way than anything else. But then Willow, Mina, and even Thunder Rosa rush out here! They chase The Triangle off with belts of their own!
The fans cheer as The Babe, the Fighting Gravure Idol & La Mera Mera save the day. But will Jamie make sure Thekla and Shida pay for this at Double or Nothing?
AEW World Championship: Darby Allin VS Konosuke Takeshita!
They say “card subject to change,” and that is true even for the best in the world. Kazuchika Okada’s real family takes priority, but his Don Callis Family brother was more than happy to step up for this opportunity. Will The Alpha already have two belts by the time he and The Rainmaker battle over the International Championship? Or will Darby truly be relentless in his pursuit of being the best fighting champion in AEW history?
The introductions are made, THE belt is raised, and we see who goes to Double or Nothing on top!
Callis joins commentary to say that while Darby’s been breaking his own body, Konosuke has perfected “rejuvenation training,” aka relaxing on a beach and sipping sake! The bell rings, and Darby SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Then Darby DIVES, but Konosuke catches him! Konosuke POSTS Darby, then THROWS him into railing! Konosuke THROWS Darby into the ring, the fans fire up for both guys, and Konosuke hurries to BOOT Darby off the apron! Darby falls in front of commentary but Konosuke gets him right back in the ring. Cover, ONE!! The fans rally as Darby shows his grit, but Konosuke snarls.
Konosuke drags Darby up, Darby fires forearms, but the ALPHA ELBOW knocks Darby down! The fans fire up while Konosuke looms over Darby. Konosuke stands Darby up, and THROWS him into a corner! Darby bounces off the buckles and is bleeding from the mouth already! Konosuke stands Darby up, hoists him up top, then he climbs up after him. But Darby BITES Konosuke, CLUBS him down, and leaps for a CROSSBODY, but he bounces off Konosuke! The fans fire up again as Konosuke whips Darby for a BACKDROP! Darby got serious hangtime there, and he flounders out of the ring. Darby coughs and sputters but the fans rally up.
Konosuke goes out after Darby but Darby SMACKS him! Konosuke KNEES low, KNEES him again and again and again! Konosuke KNEES Darby against the barriers, then refreshes the count. Konosuke whips Darby hard into railing! Darby sputters as he leans against the railing, but Konosuke positions the steel steps. Konosuke then fetches Darby, lines up a shot, but Darby fights the suplex! Darby CLAWS Konosuke’s back, then fires a shot. Konosuke DECKS Darby in return! Darby slumps against the steps, Konosuke runs up, but Darby dodges! Konosuke’s knees hit the steps and he tumbles over! Darby then runs up the steps to SHOTGUN Konosuke down!
The fans fire up while both men are down on the floor! Konosuke checks his knee before he crawls around, and Darby gets in the ring so he can build speed! Darby DIVES! Direct hit on Konosuke but Darby’s the one who hits the desk! The fans fire up while both men are down again, but Darby rises up to get Konosuke on the apron! Darby fires forearms, then goes up a corner! COFFIN- NO, Konosuke catches him for a SUPER BLUE THUNDER BOMB to the floor!! The fans go nuts again and Callis says that’s the end of Darby Allin, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.
The ref hurries to check Darby but Callis tells Doc Sampson to call it. Darby is somehow still in this, so Konosuke storms his way over. Konosuke drags Darby up, puts him in the ring, then paces around him. Konosuke runs the ropes to LARIAT! Darby flips inside-out, Konosuke covers him, TWO!! Darby still has fight inside but he’s also dazed. Konosuke clamps onto Darby with a chinlock and squeezes tight. Darby endures, even as Konosuke leans on him with his much-taller frame. Darby reaches out, fights around, and rises up, only for Konosuke to CANADIAN RACK BOMB! Darby sputters all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture.
Konosuke sits back as he watches Darby crawl to the apron. Konosuke storms his way over, but Darby RAMS low! Slingshot sunset flip, but Konosuke rolls through! Only for Darby to kick the legs out! Darby catches Konosuke to a GUILLOTINE! Konosuke endures the squeeze, fights up to his feet, and he powers out to THROW Darby! Darby lands out, fires shots, and RAMS low! Darby then hops on, but Konosuke stops Code Red! Konosuke swings Darby around, tucks him in, BASTARD DRIVER! And WHEELBARROW GERMAN! The fans fire up and Callis says that’s true power! Darby sputters again and Konosuke vows to end this.
Konosuke runs corner to corner, HELLUVA KICK!! Then he hoists Darby up top, climbs up after him, and goes to the very top! The fans freak out already for the SUPER DUPER GERMAN SUPLEX!! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Callis is freaking out as much as the fans, and he protests the count! Konosuke is furious, but he aims for the WAGAMAMA KNEE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives by nanoseconds, and Konosuke is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” but now CLØN rushes out here! He distracts the ref, and Callis hurries to take the Dynamite Diamond Ring off his finger to put it in Konosuke’s hands! Konosuke thinks about it, but The Alpha has honor!
The fans cheer as Konosuke wants to do this his way! But then Darby runs up, cradles, TWO!! Konosuke escapes, ALPHA ELBOW!! Darby is down, dazed, but still moving! Konosuke drags Darby up again, goes back to the corner and back to the top rope. The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Darby fights against the lift with headlock punches! Then he hops on, SUPER CODE RED!! Konosuke staggers up, Darby leg scissors, steps through, LAST SUPPER!! TWO?!?! Konosuke escapes again, then bails out! So Darby just goes up top! SUPER COFFIN DROP!! Direct hit and both men are down again!
The fans are thunderous as Konosuke and Darby stir. A ring count climbs, Callis complains that some people just gotta follow directions and run the play! Coach Callis pulled Konosuke outta obscurity, Konosuke would do anything! Now he’s got some gold, some fame, and gets a mind of his own! Callis complaining aside, the ring count is climbing! Darby drags himself in at 9, but Konosuke YANKS him back out! That refreshes the count, and Konosuke vows to end this for real now. Konosuke points to the steel steps, and he drags Darby up onto them with a deadlift RAGING- NO, Darby knees Konosuke, turns things around, and FULL METAL SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!
The fans go nuts again while Konosuke writhes! Konosuke flops off the steps, Darby crawls into the ring, and Darby just climbs the corner again! SUPER DUPER COFFIN DROP!!! Konosuke might be unconscious! Darby still hauls Konosuke into the ring, pushes him to a cover, TWO?!?!? Konosuke survives and Darby is furious! But Darby just reloads, COFFIN DROP but onto knees!!! Ghost pin, TWO!!! Darby escapes but the WAGAMAMA KNEE finds him!! Konosuke hauls Darby up, but Darby pops free! Trip, step through, and SCORPION DEATH LOCK!!! Konosuke endures, reaches out, but Darby sits deep!!
Callis says don’t even think about it! Konosuke almost does, but he bites his own thumb to ignore the pain in his back! Konosuke reaches out, crawls his way forward, and he fights to the ROPEBREAK!!! But Darby is right up top! COFFION DROP on the back!! Then Darby goes right back up, COFFIN DROP again!!! Cover, DARBY WINS!!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Callis is steaming, but Darby overcomes Konosuke to avenge that loss in the Continental Classic! But it also took so much out of him just to do it! Darby still asks for a mic and one is brought to him. Darby sits up against the ropes, has them cut his music, and he tells MJF to get his ass out here! There’s a contract MJF needs to sign! The ring crew hurries to bring in a table and some chairs for that very contract signing, and MJF makes his entrance. MJF reluctantly makes his way down the ramp, and both men meet at the table. Darby grins with blood still in hiss teeth, and he signs his part of the contract without hesitation, unlike MJF.
The fans already chant “BALD! BALD! BALD!” at MJF, and Darby pushes the contract to his side of the table. MJF grabs the pen, reaches out, but then steps away. MJF scratches his chin as he thinks on this, and the fans just chant, “BALD! BALD! BALD!” again. MJF takes a mic to say he’ll explain something to Darby, looking like he has rabies. But see, MJF is happy for Darby, he hopes Darby’s had fun holding MJF’s AEW World Championship. The fans boo that, but MJF says deep down, there is a small part of him, like the size of a North Carolinian p*nis small. That small part of MJF feels bad for Darby, because he’ll never hold this again!
Darby’s got about a good a chance of holding this title as Hangman Adam Page does again. MJF says guys like Darby are a dime a dozen, here today and gone tomorrow, stuntmen who burn the candle at both ends. In this life, people like all these fans here like to pretend that life is about making friends and family and children. The only thing that matters in life is your legacy. And Darby’s legacy will be that of the kid who had his 15 minutes of fame. They’ll pretend like Darby made a lasting impact, but the fact of the matter is, he hasn’t. He hasn’t! They’ll know deep down that Darby Allin was just a little pr*ck who got lucky.
They’ll know that Darby was too reckless and stupid to stay on top. And after May 24th, Double or Nothing, in that sh*thole of Queens, New York, y’know what MJF’s legacy will be? He’ll go down as the guy who became a THREE-TIME World Champion at just 30 years of age, unprecedented in this sport. And MJF will go down, when it’s all said and done, as the Greatest of All Time! THAT is the difference between them! Darby Allin brags about climbing a mountaintop. But when it comes to professional wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman IS the mountaintop! The fans boo but MJF soaks it up. Darby tells MJF to SHUT UP!
Only someone like MJF who is so vain would think that the number one most important thing in this world is his legacy. Darby doesn’t care about legacy, he cares about living in the moment! And in this moment, Darby just wants MJF to sign the contract. Then at Double or Nothing, Darby makes Maxwell Jacob Friedman a BALLD HEADED B*TCH!! MJF frowns but the fans cheer that! MJF grabs the pen again, and with no choice, he signs on the dotted line! Then he TACKLES Darby! The fans boo as MJF beats up Darby after the war he went through with Konosuke! MJF CHUCKS an armchair outta the ring, FLIPS the table, then picks up his Dynamite Diamond Ring.
MJF puts the ring on his finger like always, then winds up to DECK Darby!! The fans boo but MJF just soaks it all up. MJF throws off his jacket, picks up the belt, and he stands over Darby with it. But then MJF isn’t done with Darby, he puts Darby on the top rope! MJF climbs up to join him, and drags Darby into position! But wait! Kevin Knight runs out here to chase MJF off! The Jet still owes The Scumbag a receipt, but it seems we’ll all have to wait on that. Will MJF still take back the title at Double or Nothing? Or will Darby keep the belt and take MJF’s dignity?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode for Dynamite as things heat up towards Double or Nothing. Awesome 10 Man Tag to open, great win for the Faces, not that it added much to FTR VS C&C. Good promo from Jericho to look back on Stadium Stampede and hype up this year’s match. Good promo from The Demand with Davis and The Dogs, and I suppose this maximizes the feuds as well as the alliances throughout the locker room. Who knows who wins but the match will still be awesome, just as the original was. Good promo from Conglomeration, too, Cassidy & Roddy going after FTR while Kyle VS Moxley happens on the side, that’s great stuff.
Speaking of Moxley, great promo from him and Ospreay. Moxley’s semi-turn has really brought out his sage philosophical side. Great match from Ospreay VS Ace, and while Ospreay could always bring out his aggression, seeing him use more technical wrestling and even winning with a submission is good stuff. Good promo from Joe, and I liked Death Riders backing Ospreay up. Very good Owen Hart Cup brackets this year, Joe VS Ospreay is a great choice given this story, but I would think Ospreay wins that one. Good promo from Jack Perry to call out Davis, and I suppose Jack can win in the Owen Cup to then move on from the National title.
Great seeing Brian Cage back, he gave Knight an awesome match, but with JetSpeed wanting to go on a Two Man Power Trip, it makes sense Kevin won out. Same for Bailey beating Westbrook, even though Westbrook maybe went too hard on his own acrobatic escape. Great stuff in the Six Woman Tag, and I appreciate Shida didn’t ditch until after the match. Willow, Mina & Rosa might get their own Six Woman Tag with Triangle of Madness after that interaction, but also can’t wait to see if Willow can go back-to-back as Queen of Harts. For that matter, I personally would love to see Athena use the Owen Cup to move on from being ROH Women’s World Champion, but that depends on how Supercard of Honor goes this Friday.
And of course, another wild instant classic from Darby as he overcomes Takeshita. I knew the diamond ring would come into play with that reverse effect, good way of protecting Takeshita in the loss. Good stuff with MJF tonight, too, such as the opening segment’s parade of bald men to send the message to MJF. That was also a unique contract signing segment in that it came together so quickly after the main event match. Good stuff from MJF as always, and of course he attacks Darby. I feel like either Knight should not have made the save, or both parts of JetSpeed should’ve made the save. It just seems odd that only Knight cared about saving Darby. The closing moment was much better when it was MJF standing over Darby with the belt.
My Score: 9/10

Collision returns, and Jack Perry is on the phone.
He tells someone, “Let’s do it. Thank you, guys.” Jack ends his call, then shows his frustration. Winning the National Championship in his hometown, in front of his friends and family, was one of the proudest moments of his entire life. And yet Ricochet and Callis had to end that for him. But he happens to know that Chris Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate are looking for two more partners for Stadium Stampede. And Jack go to thinking, the show is called Double or Nothing. So how about instead of two, Jack brings FOUR! The ELITE! Jack, The Bucks, and KENNY OMEGA! See you there. Ricochet may have just messed himself over, will he regret ever getting involved tonight?

Well, given the way Ricochet just used that golf club, the National Champion will gladly stand beside him!

Callis says yes, let’s go have a drink at the 19th Hole and talk about which of the many members of the Don Callis Family are going to join Ricochet in the slaughterhouse! Ricochet says oh yes, so many great choices to choose from! Callis & Ricochet head out, just how massive will this Stadium Stampede match get?

“Just moments away from the AEW World title match between Darby Allin and Pac, and gentlemen, just wanted to let you know that the Don Callis Family, no matter who wins tonight, the Don Callis Family will be waiting for the winner. This Wednesday on Dynamite, the Don Callis Family will take the AEW World title from one of you. And y’know, it’s already been a great night, a big night, for the Don Callis Family! We won gold, but can’t wait to get some more. And on the subject of that, Okada has had to go to Japan to take care of some very important family business. But don’t worry, lads, because I have someone in mind to take his spot this Wednesday in the world title match.
“And it is none other than the firstborn of the Don Callis Family, Konosuke Takeshita, The Alpha!” Takeshita steps in, and Callis tells him, “You’re gonna be the world champion! If you listen to me like you always have, you will be successful, and you will finally fulfill the destiny that I had for you when I plucked you out of obscurity and made you the replacement for Kenny Omega. You’re the best wrestler in the world when you’ve got my game plan in your head. Go win the title.” Konosuke tells Don that he was going to take the International Championship, but now he is the person who will bring the world title back to the Don Callis Family! Unlike Okada.
Takeshita heads out, will he still make himself a double champion when he adds #PrettyPlatinum to the NJPW World Television Championship?
“Speedball” Mike Bailey w/ Kevin Knight VS Kiran Grey!
This match was on standby in case the Divine Dominion didn’t need all five minutes of their time, and now it’s a chance for Speedball to shine! But will he keep his momentum going from last Wednesday’s super show? Or will he get lost in the Grey Area?

Now, the future of AEW is wide open, so why not they make it to the top together? They shake hands on it, will JetSpeed shift gears to become a Two Man Power Trip? What belt(s) will they aim for next?

The fans cheer but the ref reprimands, this isn’t No Disqualifications! Pac still sets the table up nearby, making sure it lines up with the corner. Pac puts Darby on the table, then climbs up said corner. The fans freak out, anticipating what Pac is planning, and he steadies himself as he takes aim. Pac SUPER SHOOTING STARS but only gets table!! Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW World Champion)
Pac said it himself, Darby is the indestructible boy! But can Darby keep this up? Or will The Alpha come through on his promise and bring this title back to the Don Callis Family this Wednesday?
My Thoughts:
A great hour of AEW here as this special edition of Collision, though “Fairway to Hell” is such a random thing to begin with. They must’ve made a business deal with SoFi and TGL, which to me might be more AEW helping TGL get noticed on a national scale. And changing the status quo with the National Championship was quite the surprise, but that’s still great for Davis. Ricochet being the reason why, and then that compelling The Elite jumping into Stadium Stampede is a bit convoluted. I get they’re using continuity of how Kenny hates Callis and vice-versa, but it undercuts what I was hoping for in Hurt Syndicate getting to introduce new members. But hey, 7v7 is pretty wild, too.
I appreciate Divine Dominion adding something to their squash matches with that five minute goal. Slay & Ley already set a good time with over two minutes, and I’m sure two minutes will be the average as they just dominate all summer. And it seems Alex Windsor is gonna be out a little longer than expected, given that adjustment for Double or Nothing. A Fatal 4 Way is still good for how Thekla can use her challengers against each other, or be protected in a loss if they choose. It also helps bring in the Shidalander story, but it also feels like we’re skipping chapters. That Fatal 4 Way can probably get us to the team breaking up and Shida turning on Statlander for their own feud.
Bailey VS Grey probably was a legit standby match, that went quick. And Knight had a decent promo saying he and Bailey are still gonna be JetSpeed going for all the gold. Not sure if that comes true or just sets things up for the team to fall apart. And then a really wild main event with the “No Count Out” match. They probably could’ve just called that No Holds Barred but they wanted to add heat on how The Death Riders were cheating the second half of that match. Both table spots were risky, but obviously Darby did the crazier one. AEW really needs to be careful not to push it much further than that, though.
Then the news of Okada being out for Dynamite, hopefully it’s nothing too tragic with his family. But Takeshita as the substitute is a good choice, this helps build the Okada VS Takeshita match at the same time as building Darby up. Pretty sure MJF accepts the terms of Title VS Hair, and it’d be very MJF if he were to announce that while attacking Darby to close the show on Wednesday.
My Score: 8.8/10
