There is purpose and revenge, Sting isn’t leaving until he finishes the job. Great years were spent here, the centerpiece of Jim Crockett Promotions and the NWA. Zero Hour – 12 Man Tag: The Bang Bang Scissor Gang VS Willie Mack, Private Party & Team Triple J w/ Sonjay Dutt & Karen Jarrett!

Jay White & Colten Gunn made it work with Daddy Ass, The Acclaimed made it work with Austin, and we have seen the entire six pack in action and win once before. Will this be another hit for the super group? Or will the mash-up of The Mack, Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy, Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett & Satnam Singh destroy the dysfunctional half dozen?

“Platinum on the mic, I’ma ’bout to cook this! All these jobbers in the ring, who the hecc booked this? A Black guy, an Indian and Jeff in the mix, I just wanna know: whose fetish is this? You make my job easy when I’m rappin’, you’re like an offensive joke waitin’ to happen! The Bang Scissor- Sh*t!” Caster lost his flow three times in a row! Is #TriplePartyJay winning gonna open the show? Bowens still shouts, “GRRREENSBOROOO~! The Bang Bang Scissor Gang has arrived! Scissor me, Daddy Ass!” And he does~!

The teams sort out and Austin starts against Brother Zay. The fans sing “OH~ Scissor Me, Daddy~!” and Austin circles with Zay. Jarrett coaches Zay up and he ties up with Austin. Austin headlocks, grinds the hold, Sonjay offers fist bumps to the commentary team. Zay slips around to headlock Austin but Austin powers out. Zay ducks ‘n’ dodges and squealing DROPKICKS! Zay kips up and the fans join in on “SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!” Things speed up, Zay whips but Austin ducks ‘n’ dodges, then he BOOTS Zay down! Austin says “SHOTS! SHOTS!” and the fans join in! Zay is annoyed, he swings but misses and Austin JABS, JABS, JABS and two-steps to DECK Zay!

Austin brings Zay up, brings him over, and tags in Colten. The Gunns whip, body shot and knee lift! Then Colten CLOBBERS Zay! “Guns up!” The fans join in again as Colten says “SHOTS!” Zay tags Quen, Quen circles with Colten, then gets around to CLUB him! Quen RAMS Colten into a corner, Sonjay talks smack, and Quen whips corner to corner. Colten reverses then back drops Quen away! Quen squeals like Zay! Colten DROPKICKS Quen down and then tags in Caster. Caster brings Quen up, scoops, staggers, but he still SLAMS Quen down. Tag to Bowens and he goes up, to SCISSOR ME TIMBERS!

The fans fire up while Bowens covers, TWO! Bowens says guns up, and then he brings Quen around. Tag to Colten, they mug Quen and Colten clamps onto an arm. Quen fights up, pulls hair, and he puts Colten on the ropes. The ref counts, Quen lets off, but Lethal HOTSHOTS Colten! Quen DROPKICKS Colten down! Fans boo but Quen tags in Jarrett. They mug Colten, and Double J stomps Colten to ropes. Jarrett runs, pulling the ref’s attention, which allows Karen to CHOKE Colten before the STRADDLE ATTACK! Fans boo more as Jarrett starts up the Fargo Strut, and everyone on his team joins in on the outside!

Jarrett stomps Colten around then tags in Lethal. Jarrett whips Colten to kick low, Lethal hits the SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Lethal soaks up the heat, kicks at Austin, then goes back to Colten. Tag to Mack and the fans finally have reason to cheer. Mack whips and LARIATS Colten down! Mack keeps Colten from BBSG, then tags in Quen. Quen drops knees, and fans actually chant, “Let’s Go, Colten!” Colten endures, fights up, but Quen snapmares him down. Tag to Kassidy for the slingshot SENTON! Zay then taunts BBSG before he stomps away on Colten. Zay clamps on a chinlock but Colten endures.

The fans rally, Colten fights up, and he throws body shots! Colten gets free but Zay CLUBS him! Zay kicks, Colten blocks, but he gets the DRAGON WHIP! Tag to Quen and Private Party coordinate. Quen is the stepstool, Zay runs up, but Colten dodges! Party in Motion hits the rest of the team! Zay & Quen panic, they get Colten’s legs but he BOOTS them away! Hot tag to Bowens! The Five Tool Player rallies on Private Party! ROLLING ELBOW for Quen, ROLLING ELBOW for Zay! Lethal runs in but he gets Rock Paper Scissors SUPERKICK! Bowens ROCKS Quen to run and FAMOUSER BULLDOG! Sonjay gets on the apron, Bowens DECKS him!

Karen distracts the ref while Jarrett runs up, Bowens dodges, but into the LETHAL COMBINATION! Quen covers, TWO! Quen drags Bowens up and tags in Satnam! Satnam CHOPS Bowens, brings him around, and then TOSSES him across the ring! Bowens tumbles, Satnam drags him back over and tags Lethal back in. Lethal dusts off his hands and smiles, then he brings Bowens up. Lethal suplexes and holds Bowens up for a count of TEN before the SLAM! Lethal grins at Billy then goes back to Bowens. Tag to Jarrett and Triple J whips. Bowens reverses but Lethal stops himself, Jarrett RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS!

Jarrett stomps away on Bowens, says he’s going nowhere, then whips him to ropes. Bowens KICKS back, both men stagger, and Jarrett runs up! Bowens ROCKS Jarrett again and again and again! The fans fire up as Bowens runs, but Jarrett ELBOWS him! Jarrett runs to STRADDLE the ropes as Bowens moves! Jarrett hobbles, Bowens BOOTS him then goes up to BLOCKBUSTER! The fans fire up as both men are down! Switchblade coaches Bowens, the fans rally for him, too, and Bowens crawls over! Jarrett also crawls, hot tags to Mack and Billy! Daddy Ass rallies on Mack, Lethal, Private Party, and he even DECKS Satnam!

Billy tells the One in a Billion to “SUCK THIS!” and then he SPLASHES Mack in a corner! Billy brings Mack out, kicks low and tells him “SUCK IT!” But Satnam trips him up! Mack hits a STUNNER, followed by a LETHAL INJECTION! Zay hurries up top to SWANTON BOMB! Quen adds on a 450 SPLASH!! Mack hurries to cover, TWO!! Billy survives and shocks #TriplePartyJay! The BBSG drag them all out and send them into barriers, but then Mack goes up! Mack SIX-STAR FLOPS as Billy moves! White is there, hot tag to King Switch! And he drags Mack up for the BLADE- NO, Zay springboards in!

White dodges Zay, Zay turns around into the 3:10 TO YUMA! But Quen CROSSBODIES the Gunn Sons! But then Quen turns around into THE ARRIVAL! Caster goes up for the MIC DROP!! Jarrett drags Bowens out and sends him into railing! Satnam storms in and White gets face to chest with the giant! But then Billy has White hold on. Billy is big but still not Satnam big! Satnam shoves them both away, DECKS Bowens, then grabs Caster! Satnam TOSSES Caster, then SHOVES Austin! White CHOP BLOCKS him, but Satnam stays up!? Billy kicks low and White CHOP BLOCKS again, they finally get the giant on his knees!

The fans fire up as White sets Satnam up for a FAMOUSER!! Mack returns to SUPERKICK Billy! White gets Mack again, BLADERUNNER!!! Cover, BBSG wins!!

#TriplePartyJay tried to use the numbers game, but not even they could stop this super six pack from flexing their guns! The AEW World Trios & ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions stand tall together once again, and White gets the mic. “Yo! Yo! YO!” White is copying Max as he says, “Listen! See, Max? It’s not that hard. Oh yeah, guns up for my Greensboro Gold Members~!” Now, White is always telling the gang about how much he loves Greensboro. It’s one of his favorite cities in the world! The fans appreciate that, and White continues to say that Greensboro has some of the greatest wrestling fans!

The fans again cheer, and White says hey, what better place to have an event like Revolution? And there’s a lot of action tonight! Will Ospreay is here! Who walks out the AEW World Champion? Fans chant “JOE! JOE! JOE!” so that answers that. Oh oh oh oh, who is ready for Sting’s last match, huh? The fans sure are! A very big night, kicking off the biggest way possible with the Bang! Bang! Scissor! Gang! The two best trios, the single best six man team, and the GREATEST faction in the GREATEST wrestling company, AEW! The fans cheer for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” and White says BBSG is led by one of the greatest of all time.

White can remind any of us, that on any given day, at any given moment, just who he is. He’ll remind us why he is the Catalyst of Pro-Wrestling! He’ll remind us to Breathe with the Switchblade! The fans sing, “OH~ Scissor Me, Switchblade~!” White says in ten days time, AEW Dynamite in Boston, maybe he handles some Big Business of his own! Fans like the sound of that. But until then, EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed. And if you ain’t down with that, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP! The Switchblade is taking aim at something, two guesses what title he wants to add to the collection.

 

Backstage interview with Best Friends.

Lexi Nair is with Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero & Chuck Taylor, but also Doc Sampson, because we need a medical update on the International Champion before his match with Roderick Strong tonight. Doc says as we know, Cassidy has been getting beat up the last few months, and that Doc keeps telling Cassidy to tape up that back and ribs. Tonight, it happens or he isn’t being cleared. Then with all that said, how does Cassidy feel going into this? Trent speaks up that Cassidy always fights through it. And just like always, the boys have his back. Cassidy wants to talk to them about that, actually

Tonight, before, during and after, Best Friends need to stay in the back. Cassidy is sick and tired of seeing his friends getting hurt because of him, so he has to do this on his own. Chuck says yeah, he’ll keep the others back and respect Cassidy on this. Hands in, and even Doc and Lexi join in. Freshly Squeezed has support in spirit, but will that not help when The Undisputed Kingdom will stack the deck?

The Galaxy’s Greatest Babes with the Power have been meaning to settle things with the Princess of the Black Throne and her little sidekick for some time, so no better time than Revolution! Will Kris & Willow crush the TBS Champion and Chicago Skye? Or will Greensboro see The House Always Wins?

Stokely joins commentary to explain that everyone has miscommunications. He wanted Kris to do things one way, Willow wanted it the other, let’s just drop the issue. The teams sort out and Skye starts against Willow. These two circle, but Julia spooks Willow and that allows Skye to attack! Skye stomps Willow, Willow shoves her away so Skye swing on Kris! Kris ducks the sucker punch, and Willow ROCKS Skye! Willow CHOPS Skye, fans “WOO~!” and then Willow CHOPS again! Tag to Kris and Willow feeds Skye to the shoulder tackle! The fans fire up as Kris whips Skye to a corner. Kris runs in to ROCK and CHOP Skye for herself!

Kris fires forearms and CHOPS over and over! The fans fire up but the ref counts, and Kris lets off at 4. Kris then runs corner to corner, but into a BOOT! Skye runs up, but into a scoop! Skye slips fere, tag to Julia, and the fans fire up as Kris arm-drags Julia down! Kris scoops Julia now, and she SLAMS Julia down! Julia sits up, into a SLIDING LARIAT! Tag to Willow, she runs to SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Willow drags Julia up, suplexes, but Skye saves Julia. Kris ROCKS Skye, then reels her in. Kris & Willow both suplex high and hard! Willow keeps cool and hauls Julia up. Willow bumps Julia off buckles, tags Kris, then Kris bumps Julia off more buckles. Kris CLUBS Julia, CHOPS her, then brings her out. Julia fires body shots but Kris powers up to hit a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Kris keeps on Julia and tags Willow back in. They whip Julia to a corner, then Willow runs to back body block! Willow clotheslines Julia, snapmares, but Julia avoids the boot to CHOP BLOCK! Julia RAMS Willow into the corner, tags in Skye, and Julia CHOKES Willow on ropes so Skye can SHINING WIZARD! Skye keeps moving, and she BOOT WASHES Willow down!

Skye waves to Stokely and says that was for him. Stoke says to watch your mouth! Skye covers Willow, TWO! Skye CLUBS Willow, stomps her to the corner, then digs her boot in. The ref counts, Skye lets off, and Julia CHOKES Willow! Skye runs in to ROCK Willow then snapmare her down. Skye KICKS Willow right in the back! Skye pushes Willow around but the fans rally. Willow throws body shots but Skye DECKS her! Skye scuffs Willow, but Willow throws more body shots! Skye ROCKS Willow but the fans fire up! Skye clinches but Willow throws body shots. Skye throws Willow down by her hair!

Skye taunts Kris, CLUBS Willow, then tags in Julia. Julia CHOPS Willow, puts her in another corner, and CHOPS again! Willow turns things around to CHOP! The fans fire up but Julia RAMS Willow into the corner. Tag to Skye and Skye stomps a mudhole! The ref counts, Skye lets off, and she storms back up. Skye stomps Willow, brings her around, but Willow cradle counters! TWO! Skye escapes and LARIATS Willow down! Cover, TWO! Willow stays in this but Skye slaps her! Willow and Skye fire forearms, and then Skye CHOKES Willow on ropes while she shrieks! The ref counts but Skye lets off to bump Willow off buckles.

Skye tags Julia and Julia fires forearms and haymakers on Willow. Julia CLUBS Willow down, digs her boot in, then lets off as the ref counts. Tag back to Skye, they mug Willow then double whip her back into the corner. The fans rally as Julia & Skye double whip again and again! Skye then runs in but Willow dodges her! Willow ducks Julia, but Skye gets a leg! Willow BOOTS Skye & Julia away, hot tag to Kris! The fans fire up as Kris rallies on Skye & Julia! Then she gives them a meeting of the minds! Kris goes up a corner, DOUBLE BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up as Kris kips up and windmills! Kris runs in to UPPERCUT Julia in a corner!

Kris goes corner to corner, UPPERCUT for Skye! Kris goes back to ROCK Julia! And then UPPERCUT for Skye! Kris sends Skye into Julia, LEG SWEEP FLATLINER and a DOUBLE SENTON! Cover on Skye, TWO! Skye stays in this but Kris drags her up. Kris fireman’s carries but Skye fights free. Skye waistlocks, Kris switches but Julia tags in before the O’Conner, CHAOS THEORY! Fans fire up but Julia runs in, BLINDSLIDE LARIAT! Julia drags Kris up by her hair, and reels her in for the HARTLESS LOCK! Kris tips it to a cover! TWO, and Kris RAMS Julia into the corner! Kris winds up, Julia dodges the haymaker but Willow ROCKS her instead! Kris & Willow double whip Julia but she ducks the double lariat, and Skye DOUBLE CROSSBODIES! But she gets caught, literally! DOUBLE FALL AWAY SLAM! The fans are thunderous as Kris then scoops Julia and puts her in a Tree of Woe, trapping Skye! Willow runs in, Julia sits up so Skye takes the CANNONBALL! Willow puts Julia back in the Tree, deadlifts her out of it, and then RAMS her into the buckles, OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE! Julia stands up, Willow runs in, but Julia drop toeholds her into ropes! Skye runs up but Willow avoids the knee!

Kris YANKS Skye down and Skye bounces off the apron! Julia runs up at Willow, but Willow wrenches and fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Julia survives and Stoke is frustrated for his team. Skye and Kris brawl, Skye ROCKS Kris and SUPERKICKS! Willow gives Julia a short arm LARIAT! And another! Julia ELBOWS Willow, brings her around, tag to Skye. Willow still picks Julia up for a SPINEBUSTER, then sits her up to reel her in! Gut wrench and BABE WITH THE- SUNSET BOMB! Skye SUPERKICKS! Cover, TWO!! Skye is furious and the fans fire up! Skye fireman’s carries, but Willow fights that off.

Julia then climbs up, for the MOONSAULT! Cover, Willow breaks it!! Stokely is fired up but the fans are torn. Julia glares at Willow as Willow taunts her. Julia clamps onto Kris with an armlock but Willow storms in. Skye BOOTS her down! Skye then MISSILE DROPKICKS Willow to the floor!

Julia drags Kris around, SMACKS her off the mat, then tags Skye back in. Skye kicks Kris around, brings her up and puts her on ropes. Skye ROCKS Kris, she and Julia double whip, but Kris ducks the line, breaks the line, and DOUBLE LARIATS in return! Tag to Willow so she can BOOT Skye! Skye SUPERKICKS! Willow BOOTS again, then ENZI- NO, Skye dodges, runs, and hops on! CODE- NO, POOOOUNCE! PERIOD!! The fans are thunderous again, and Willow grabs at Skye from the apron. Gut wrench, but Julia runs in! Stokely says if you’ll excuse him, and he leaves commentary to celebrate with his team. They got on the same page, got the win, and have humbled the TBS Champion, if only for now. But the question is, who will be moving up to challenge the champ down the line?

 

AEW TNT Championship: Christian Cage w/ The Patriarchy VS Daniel Garcia!

Captain Charisma will deny it up and down, but he did lose this title to the Rated R Superstar at Worlds End, then he bullied Killswitch/Luchasaurus in handing over his anytime-anywhere title match contract to get it back. Will that same insurance policy through emotional abuse come through for him tonight? Or will nothing save him from Red Death?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is the true Face of TNT!

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Garcia, but Christian stays in a corner. Christian frowns and finally circles with Garcia. They tie up, go around, and are in a deadlock. They go low, then back up, and end up on ropes. The ref counts, neither man lets go and they end up in the ropes. Christian finally lets off and backs away, but the fans still rally for Garcia. Garcia and Christian reset, tie up again, and Christian waistlocks to then trip Garcia and float to a facelock. Garcia endures the grind, moves around and fights to his feet. Garcia wrenches free for an ELBOW BREAKER, then he headlocks.

Christian powers up and out but Garcia runs him over! The fans fire up as Christian flounders away, then boo as he bails out. Christian regroups with The Patriarchy and huddles up. He tells the cameraman to bug off so they can talk strategy. The Patriarchy breaks huddle and Christian makes his way back into the ring. Garcia and Christian circle, feel things out, and tie up. They’re in another deadlock, but Christian uses his height for leverage. Christian puts Garcia in a corner, but Garcia digs his feet in and pushes Christian back! The fans fire up as Garcia puts Christian in another corner! The ref counts, Christian powers Garcia back to center and then headlocks.

Garcia powers up and out but Christian runs Garcia over! Things speed up, and Christian falls! Is that a fake out or did he really tweak an ankle? The ref has Garcia stay back but fans are calling BS, too. And then Christian pokes Garcia in the eye! The ref reprimands and the fans boo because they knew all along. Christian goes to the apron so he can HOTSHOT Garcia down! Fans boo but Mother Shayna applauds and high-fives Papa Christian. Christian storms in, avoids Garcia’s wild punch and throws down fists. Christian stomps Garcia around then soaks up the heat. Christian mocks Greensboro like he can’t hear them, then he stalks Garcia to a corner.

Garcia fires haymakers in return, but Christian knees low! Christian turns Garcia for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE!! Garcia toughs it out but Christian CHOKES him on ropes! Garcia punches at the knee but Christian lets off at 4. The fans boo but The Patriarchy applauds. Christian stands Garcia up to snapmare and then ELBOW him down! Christian mocks the Garcia dance, then just flexes. The fans boo more but Christian CLAWS at Garcia’s face! The ref counts, Christian lets off, then chinlocks and digs his knee into Garcia’s back. The fans rally, Garcia fights up and he throws body shots! Garcia fires off from all sides in the corner!

The fans fire up, Garcia climbs up, but Christian SHOVES Garcia down to the floor! Then Christian SUPER CROSSBODIES! Credit to Christian for going high risk, and both men are down on the outside. The ring count climbs, but Nick & Killswitchasaurus are there to check on Christian. Christian stands at 5 of 10 but Garcia follows. Christian brings Garcia around at 7 and puts him in at 8. Christian still wants to end this in the ring, and he slaps Garcia around. “You want my championship? Make your father proud!” Christian CHOKES Garcia on the ropes, but lets off as the ref counts.

The fans rally for Garcia but Christian chicken wings. Garcia slips free to CHOP BLOCK! Garcia gets the leg, to GROUND DRAGON SCREW! And then he STOMPS that leg! Now Christian’s ankle must really be bothering him! And therefore, ANKLE LOCK! Christian rolls and kicks free, kicks low and he TOSSES Garcia out! Christian actually hobbles now, and Garcia gets in, only for Christian to TOSS him out the other side! Christian walks off the pain while Garcia slowly rises. The count restarts, Nick wants it to be faster but the ref tells him to shut it. Garcia rises again at 7, but Christian POSTS him! Garcia falls again and the count resets. Garcia drags himself up at 4 of 10, but Nick runs in! Garcia TOSSES Nick into the timekeeper’s area! No Champion’s Advantage by disqualification for Christian! The shots go back and forth, Garcia fires off a flurry! Then he climbs up to CLUB away on Christian! Christian staggers away, Garcia whips, but Christian reverses. Garcia ducks ‘n’ dodges to LEAPING LARIAT! Christian goes to a corner, Garcia pulls the turtleneck up and over Christian’s face! Christian can’t see as Garcia rains down the fists! The fans count along, all the way to nine, and then Garcia does his dance on Christian’s face! And then TEN! The fans fire up while Christian gets the turtleneck out of the way. Garcia runs but Christian ELBOWS him away. Christian goes up, but Garcia gets him for a SUPER DRAGON SCREW!

Garcia reels Christian in but Christian back drops, only for Garcia to sunset flip! TWO, and Garcia hurries to Oklahoma Roll! TWO, and Christian hits low! Christian CHOKES Garcia on the ropes! The ref counts, Christian hops off and then has to slide out because of the bad leg. But Garcia blocks the uppercut to ROCK Christian! Garcia then aims to WRECK Christian with a dropkick! Christian staggers around, Garcia whips him into steel steps! Christian tumbles up and over, but Luchasaurus shouts at Garcia. Garcia glares at the dinosaur, then chases after Christian. Mother Shayna acts as an obstacle, but Garcia still pursues Christian into the ring.

Christian asks for mercy from Garcia, but the fans boo. Garcia blocks the cheap kick, but Christian blocks the uppercut! Christian chicken wings the arms but Garcia elbows free. So Christian dragon sleepers for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Garcia stays in this but Christian says he’s going up. The fans boo but Christian climbs. DIVING HEADBUTT but Garcia dodges, and has the ANKLE LOCK!! Christian flails, reaches out, but Garcia drags him away from ropes! Christian scrambles around, rolls and sends Garcia away. Garcia comes back but into a mule kick! Christian goes up, but Garcia waistlocks!

Garcia pries Christian from the corner, and hits the SAIDO! Cover, TWO! Christian stays in this but Garcia reels him in. Christian trips Garcia, to CATAPULT him into buckles! Christian distracts the ref while crawling away, and Luchasaurus grabs Garcia’s throat! JURASSIC CHOKE SLAM!! The fans boo as Luchasaurus gets away with one! Christian climbs up, to FROG SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!! Garcia survives and The Patriarchy is furious! Luchasaurus is so mad, he throws off his shoulder pad! But wait, DADDY MAGIC attacks! The fans are thunderous as Menard RAMS Luchasaurus into the apron, then POSTS him!

But then Menard turns around and Mother Shayna stares him down. Daddy Magic dares her to do something, but she just laughs. Menard blocks the slap! But Luchasaurus is up! Menard fires off hands on Luchasaurus and they go up the ramp! The fans cheer as Menard takes away the rook on Christian’s chessboard! Christian still aims, runs in, but the bad leg stops the spear! Garcia gets Christian with a PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO?!? Christian survives and shocks everyone! Even Shayna didn’t think he’d kick out! Christian drags himself to ropes, he grabs the arms, but Garcia powers through to jackknife bridge! ROPEBREAK!!

The fans boo but Garcia miscalculated! Shayna distracts the ref, Nick hits a CUTTER in the ropes!! Christian chicken wings Garcia for the KILLSWITCH!! Cover, Christian wins!

AEW Continental Triple Crown Championship: Eddie Kingston VS Bryan Danielson!

Speaking of thrones, The Mad King still holds the three belts that define this modern American Triple Crown. But even more than these titles, he is looking to win Bryan’s respect. Will Eddie slay the American Dragon and make him shake his hand? Or will Bryan make his last year as a wrestler a golden one?

Renee Paquette is at gorilla with Eddie, saying tonight is all about respect, and perhaps the lack thereof from Bryan, who crowned Eddie “The King of the Bums.” Eddie is the first Continental Crown Champion, and he dedicates tonight’s match to Jun Akiyama. The music hits and Eddie heads out. The introductions are made, the three belts are raised, and we see who leaves Greensboro holding them all!

The bell rings and the fans fire up as Eddie and Bryan stare down. The two circle, feel things out, and test the waters. They circle, knuckle lock, but Bryan kicks! Eddie shrugs that off to give a kick of his own. Bryan kicks again and Eddie hobbles away. The fans rally and duel as the two reset. They tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, Eddie puts Bryan in a corner, but the ref counts. Eddie lets off slowly, but Bryan avoids the chop to CHOP! Bryan dodges the chop again, and Eddie shrugs that off. Eddie and Bryan circle again, test the waters again, and Bryan connects with a kick to the knee! Eddie hobbles back and Bryan soaks up the cheers and jeers.

Eddie scowls and resets with Bryan. Eddie dares Bryan to kick, so Bryan kicks the leg! Eddie still eggs Bryan on, then blocks the kick to fire off body shots! They end up in a corner, Bryan avoids the chop to CHOP! Eddie just shouts at Bryan and storms up on him! Bryan and Eddie feel things out, Bryan avoids another chop. Eddie keeps pushing forward, but Bryan blocks the chop! Bryan reels Eddie in for a fireman’s carry takeover, cover, ONE! Bryan clinches Eddie on the mat but Eddie fights around. Eddie gets his leg guard up but Bryan KICKS and KICKS and KICKS! Eddie snarls as he stands back up.

Bryan and Eddie circle as the fans rally up again. They tie up, Eddie snapmares and KICKS! And CHOPS! And KICKS! And CHOPS! Bryan blocks that chop, Eddie stands him up to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! Bryan blocks again but Eddie powers him to the corner, for CHOP after CHOP! MACHINE GUN CHOPS! Bryan blocks the last one, so Eddie HEADBUTTS! And SAIDOS! The fans fire up while Bryan bails out. Eddie hobbles but he builds speed to DIVE! Down goes Bryan but Eddie clutches the bad leg. Perhaps that was double-edged but Eddie still brings Bryan to the apron. And he CHOPS again!

Eddie CHOPS, CHOPS, but then Bryan ducks! Eddie’s hand hits POST! Bryan then turns Eddie around to FALCON ARROW to the floor! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! The ring count is climbing but Bryan stands at 5 of 10. “This is Awesome!” already as Bryan drags Eddie up. Bryan wrenches the and bends the fingers, then drags Eddie into the ring with the wristlock. Bryan shifts to top wristlock, and he bends the fingers! Eddie has the ROPEBREAK, but Bryan doesn’t let go! Bryan isolates the arm to STOMP it! Eddie leans on ropes, Bryan goes up the corner, and Bryan MISSILE DROPKICKS the shoulder!

Eddie rests against ropes again, and Bryan KICKS him! And KICKS! And then goes up a corner, to MISSILE DROPKICK Eddie down! The fans rally and duel while Bryan grabs the bad arm and twists the wrist. Bryan bends the fingers, tortures the entire arm, then isolates it again. Bryan STOMPS it again! Eddie clutches the elbow while fans are torn. Bryan doesn’t hesitate, he goes up the corner. Eddie stands, Bryan leaps, but Eddie catches him! EXPLODER! There’s part of the shoutout to Jun Akiyama! The fans fire up again while Eddie shakes out the bad arm. Bryan stands, and Eddie CHOPS!

Eddie clutches the arm, that chop was double-edged. Bryan runs up, Eddie clinches again, but Bryan wrenches the bad arm. Eddie refuses to be brought down and he DDTS Bryan! Cover, TWO, but Eddie clamps on the STRETCH PLUM! Bryan endures, and he powers free of Eddie’s bad arm! Bryan twists the wrist again, wrangles Eddie down, and once again isolates the arm! But Eddie rolls back to sit up and facelock! Bryan wrenches free of that, but ends up getting HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS from Eddie! Eddie uses the BCC signature, then he half nelsons Bryan. Bryan resists, arm-drags free, and then runs up to DROPKICK in the corner!

Eddie stays standing and the fans fire up. Bryan pie faces Eddie, then KICKS! Bryan goes corner to corner to DROPKICK again! Eddie wobbles, Bryan KICKS him! Bryan runs again, but Eddie dodges! Bryan tumbles, Eddie runs up, but Bryan gets around to full nelson! Eddie drops but Bryan KICKS him! Bryan then drags Eddie up, to DRAGON SUPLEX! Cover, TWO!! Eddie survives and the fans fire up again! Bryan seethes, and he paces around Eddie. Bryan grabs the bad arm, stands Eddie up and wrenches, to ELBOW BREAKER! Eddie backs up to a corner, and Bryan CHOPS! And KICKS! And CHOPS!

Bryan KICKS and CHOPS Eddie again, then HEADBUTTS! Bryan hoists Eddie up top, climbs up after him, but Eddie fires headbutts in return! Bryan falls back, but comes right back, only to get forearms! Bryan drops back again, but then runs up to DROPKICK! Eddie stays up top but he’s dazed now. Bryan climbs up the corner again, stands Eddie up and underhooks him, for a SUPER BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Then a roll into the omoplata! Eddie fights but Bryan shifts to make this a modified RINGS OF SATURN! Eddie endures, even though his bad arm is being pulled way back! The fans rally as hard as they can, and Eddie fights around!

Eddie gets his bad arm free, then pushes his way to the ROPEBREAK! The fans are torn but Bryan lets go cleanly. Bryan scowls, then sits Eddie up. Bryan bends the fingers, then throws HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! The fans duel, “YES!” “NO!” Eddie is a bobblehead, so Bryan brings him up. But Eddie fights the suplex and ENZIGIRIS! Then URAKEN!! Even though it was the bad arm! Bryan runs up, Eddie catches him! NORTHERN LIGHTS BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Bryan survives and Eddie is frustrated, but the fans rally back up! Eddie and Bryan slowly rise, and Eddie goes to ropes.

Eddie storms his way back to Bryan as the fans duel. Eddie hauls Bryan up but Bryan slips free of the Canadian Rack, but runs into an URAKEN!! Bryan goes to the corner, runs up, and he PENALTY KICKS the bad arm! Then “YES! YES! YES!” from Bryan before the BUSAIKU KNEE!! Cover, TWO?!?! Eddie survives and shocks everyone! Bryan grabs the arms, he stands over Eddie, and he rains down DRAGON STOMPS! Eddie sputters but Bryan just stomps more! Then Bryan drags Eddie into the TRIANGLE HOLD! Eddie flails, grabs at Bryan but Bryan bends the fingers! Eddie claws at Bryan, CLUBS him, but Bryan just squeezes tighter!

Eddie is turning red while the fans fire up both ways! The ref checks Eddie, and Eddie comes back to life! Eddie drags Bryan back with him, and has the ROPEBREAK! Bryan lets go and reminds us all, he has ’til five. Bryan is frustrated and maybe confused as how Eddie survives, but the fans continue to duel. Bryan waits on Eddie to sit up, and he KICKS! Eddie snarls and glares at Bryan. Bryan KICKS Eddie, but Eddie brings down the straps! Eddie eggs Bryan on, so Bryan KICKS! And KICKS! And KICKS! Eddie tries to grab at Bryan but Bryan just KICKS him again! And BUZZ- NO, Eddie swats it!

Bryan tries again, Eddie ducks it and HALF ‘N’ HALF! Bryan’s right up!! SHOULDER CAPTURE PLEX! But Eddie’s right up! HALF ‘N’ HALF again!! Bryan tumbles away and the fans are thunderous! It’s a standing ovation! Eddie and Bryan stir, “This is Awesome!” Eddie and Bryan sit up, then lean on each other as they stand. They trade body shots and palm strikes, and Eddie fires a flurry! Bryan returns it, the shots continue to go back and forth. Eddie uses his one good hand to SLAP and CHOP Bryan around! Bryan wobbles, and Eddie reels him in! But the bad arm won’t let him lift, so Eddie gives Bryan KAWADA KICKS!

Bryan SLAPS! And SLAPS! And SLAPS again! Bryan winds up, but Eddie JABS! And then paint brushes with the good hand! Eddie reels Bryan in, but Bryan back drops free! Bryan aims from the corner, “YES! YES! YES!” BUSAIKU- LARIAT!! Eddie hauls Bryan up, and POWERBOMBS! High stack, EDDIE WINS!!

Winner: Eddie Kingston, by pinfall (still AEW Continental Triple Crown Champion)

The fans again give this a standing ovation because The Mad King keeps his crown! Eddie stands to bow in respect to Greensboro, but the real moment of truth is: Will Bryan show respect to Eddie? Bryan slowly sits back up, perhaps coming to terms with reality. Eddie waits, and Bryan hears the fans chant, “Shake His Hand! Shake His Hand!” Bryan looks down at himself, then up at Eddie. Eddie steps forward, and says forget it. Bryan isn’t doing it, so why is he sticking around? But then Bryan says hold on. Bryan stands, and holds out his hand! Eddie steps forward, but Bryan pulls it away. Fans boo but Bryan says hold on, hold on.

Bryan says Eddie really is that good, and he shakes Eddie’s hand! Bryan raises Eddie’s hand in victory and respect, and the fans cheer! The American Dragon finally shows The Mad King respect, is this another turning point in Eddie’s career?

 

All-Star Scramble: Chris Jericho VS Lance Archer VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs VS Wardlow VS Hook VS Brian Cage VS Magnus VS Dante Martin!

While a Triple Threat determines the AEW World Championship later tonight, a massive 8 Man free-for-all decides who is next in line! The Ocho, The Murderhawk Monster, the Don Callis Family’s force of nature, the Undisputed Kingdom’s War Dog, the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil, The Machine, the CMLL Mexican National Tag Team Champion, or Top Flight’s Angel Dorado. That is quite the all-star line-up, but who becomes a true star after tonight?

Given how much The Undisputed Kingdom has riding on this match, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and even ADAM COLE BAYBAY are here to accompany Wardlow to the ring. But even so, the Greensboro choir still sings Judas for Jericho. The bell rings and it is chaos! Wardlow and Hobbs mug Jericho, Archer is after Magnus, and Cage TOSSES Dante so he can go after Hook! Archer stomps Magnus in a corner, Jericho’s literally on the ropes, and Cage has Hook in a corner. Jericho falls out, Archer TOSSES Magnus out, and then Cage carries Hook around! Cage TOSSES Hook onto Jericho! And fans fire up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!”

Archer, Cage, Hobbs and Wardlow all have a corner, we might get Meat Madness after all! The fans fire up as these behemoths all eye each other. Wardlow and Cage have a quick flex-off, but then Hobbs joins in. The fans fire up, Archer says he can’t see any of them down there. The flexing continues, but then Cage eggs everyone on. Archer and Cage RAM shoulders at the same time Wardlow and Hobbs RAM each other! No one falls, they all egg each other on, so Cage and Hobbs RAM Archer and Wardlow! Archer and Wardlow RAM Cage and Hobbs! Cage and Hobbs run to LARIAT, but Archer and Wardlow don’t fall!

The fans chant “MEAT!” with each collision as Archer and Wardlow LARIAT back! All four men stay up so the “MEAT!” LARIATS fly! Cage gets around Archer, Archer ELBOWS Cage but Cage SUPERKICKS! Archer BOOTS Cage down! Wardlow dodges Hobbs to BOOT him, then clothesline him up and out! Archer then shoves Wardlow as the fans chant “MEAT FOREVER!” The forearms fly back and forth, the fans continue with “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Wardlow ROCKS Archer, whips him to a corner, then runs in, but Archer dodges! Archer comes back to ELBOW Wardlow! Archer knuckle locks and goes up the corner!

The fans chant “BEAT THAT MEAT!” as Archer goes Old School, and MOONSAULTS! The fans fire up and then Hobbs runs in! Archer BOOTS Hobbs, ROCKS him, and knuckle locks again! Archer goes back up and again goes Old School! But Hobbs catches Archer to a SPINEBUSTER! But Cage is back, he fireman’s carries! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Wardlow storms in to fireman’s carry! Cage slips free, shoves, but Wardlow ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans are thunderous, but Jericho is back to CODE BREAKER! Fans boo the end to the meaty goodness and Jericho covers, but Hook breaks it!

Magnus gets in, he and Hook throw hands, and then Dante joins in! Jericho CHOPS Hook so Hook CHOPS Jericho! Magnus and Dante go back and forth with CHOPS of their own! Jericho says they can meat it up, and they all run. They RAM shoulders, and this is more like Lean Meat Madness! They go again, RAM into each other, and Jericho says again! They keep going, they RAM some more, then they BLAST the behemoths off the apron! Jericho goes up to CROSSBODY Hobbs down! Hook, Dante and Magnus look around, just as aware of the monsters as of each other. Dante DIVES to take out Wardlow! Magnus TORNILLOS Archer!

Hook isn’t a flyer, but he figures what the hell, it’s Revolution! Hook goes up and SUPER CROSSBODIES Cage! The fans fire up as all eight men are down around ringside! Dante and Magnus return, Dante kicks and whips. Magnus reverses, runs up, but Dante puts him on the apron. Magnus GAMANGIRIS, goes up, but Dante GAMANGIRIS back! Wardlow and Archer return, Wardlow kicks Archer and puts him in a corner. Meanwhile, Hobbs climbs a corner while Jericho slides in! Jericho ROCKS Hobbs first, goes up after him, Cage SMACKS Hook off the apron! Cage gets in, and he drags Hook up! Dante SUPERPLEXES Magnus!

Jericho SUPERPLEXES Hobbs! Wardlow SUPER DUPER PLEXES Archer! And then Cage deadlift SUPERPLEXES Hook! Dante is back up to MAMBA SPLASH Cage! Cover, TWO!! Cage survives and Dante can’t believe it! Hook and Archer bails out, as does Wardlow. Cage follows suit, Magnus soon after. Dante and Jericho are still in the ring. Jericho runs up, Dante goes up and over and Jericho hits ropes! Dante then FLIES out onto Cage! Dante builds speed, but he doesn’t quite clear the ropes! He still tumbles his way into taking out Hobbs and Archer! Dante then goes right back up to CROSSBODY Jericho! Cover, TWO!!

Magnus gets in, he runs up, gets around Dante and drop toeholds! Then he dials it up, 619! Then slingshot  somersault CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Dante survives but Magnus runs up to get around and underhook! BUTTERFLY BACKBREAKER! The fans rally with Magnus and he runs to clothesline Dante in a corner! Magnus sits Dante down, runs up, METEORA! Magnus drags Dante to the drop zone, goes up, but Archer STEP-UP KNEES! Archer positions Magnus for a SUPER HIP TOSS! The fans fire up as Archer storms around. Archer choke grips to CHOKE SLAM Magnus! Cover, TWO!! Archer is furious but the ref defends his count!

Archer storms after Magnus, puts him up top and ROCKS him! Then he crucifix lifts, but Jericho kicks Archer! Archer kicks Jericho, but Magnus CLUBS Archer! Jericho & Magnus DOUBLE SUPLEX Archer! Jericho and Magnus run, DOUBLE LIONSAULTS!! The fans are thunderous and Jericho makes the cover, TWO!! Hobbs CLOBBERS Jericho, SPLASHES Magnus, but Arche clamps on! Hobbs breaks free, runs and LEAPING LARIATS! Hobbs scoops Archer for a POWERSLAM! But Dante is back! Hobbs ducks the enzigiri but Dante rolls, runs, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!

Cage SUPERKICKS Hobbs, runs up and UPPERCUTS! LARIAT! Wrench and SAIDO! Cage fires up, but Hook is here! The fans fire up and these two fire off! Hook gets the edge but Cage kicks low! Hook gets around, but Cage fights the T-Bone Plex! Short arm LARIAT! Wardlow is back, he ducks the discus lariat to GERMAN SUPLEX! Archer waistlocks, Wardlow switches, GERMAN SUPLEX! Magnus is back, GERMAN SUPLEX for him! Dante runs up, Wardlow SUPERKICKS, then GERMAN SUPLEXES! The fans fire up as Wardlow SPINEBUSTERS Cage, rolls him into position, but Hook hops on! REDRUM!!

Wardlow lets Cage go to claw at the hold, but he’s fading fast! Hook even has the body scissors!! Jericho hurries to get the legs! Jericho turns Wardlow over, WALLS OF JERICHO!! Wardlow endures double submissions, but Cage SUPERKICKS Jericho down! Cage pries Hook off of Cage, fireman’s carries, but Hook slips free! Jericho BOOTS Cage into Hook’s GERMAN SUPLEX! Jericho and Hook, the oldest and the youngest, stare down. The fans fire up but Jericho CHOPS away! Jericho whips, Hook kicks back! Jericho swings, into the EL CAMINO! Hook runs up again, wrenches, and NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO!!!

Jericho just barely gets outta that, and Hobbs TOSSES Hook! Hobbs ROCKS Jericho, whips him to a corner, then runs in. Jericho dodges, Hobbs’ splash puts him on the apron! Cage swings again, Hook dodges, but runs into a JUMP KNEE!

Cage fireman’s carries, but Wardlow gets in. Cage F5s Hook, but Wardlow kicks Cage! Cage wrenches out, JUMP KNEE! Cage spins, into a HEADBUTT! Wardlow winds up to LARIAT!! Wardlow reels Cage in, hoists him up, POWERBOMB!! Dante rolls Wardlow up, TWO!! SUPESRKICK! Magnus is back but Dante has him for the HALF NELSON BOMB! But Archer drags Dante right off the cover! Dante breaks free but Archer LARIATS him down! Archer then hauls Dante up for an APRON- NO, Dante slips free to GAMANGIRI! Dante springboards, NOSEDIVE!! Cover, TWO!! Dante hurries to run, but Wardlow POUNCES him outta the air!!

Wardlow clotheslines Archer up and out, then he roars! But Hook is back, for REDRUM!! Wardlow throws Hook off, HEADBUTTS then wind-up LARIATS!! Wardlow hauls Dante back up, reels him in, and hits the LAST RIDE!!! Cover, Wardlow wins!!

AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy VS Roderick Strong w/ The Undisputed Kingdom!

Speaking of the Undisputed Kingdom, they’ve been throwing everything at Best Friends, all in hopes of taking this title away from Cassidy. Freshly Squeezed may be bandaged and bruised, but will he continue to find a way to win? Or is this where the Savior of the Backbreaker beats the pulp out of him once and for all?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if this title becomes undisputed!

The bell rings and Strong runs up but Cassidy gets under! Ghost pin, TWO!! Strong dodges the orange Punch, Cassidy dodges the lariat but Strong fights the hooks. Strong suplexes, Cassidy cradle counters, TWO! Things keep moving, and Cassidy goes Matrix! But Strong stops Cassidy from getting hands in pockets, and hits a BACKBREAKER! Cassidy stands into a CHOP! The ring count climbs, Strong puts Cassidy in. Strong then has Cassidy on the apron, CLUBS him, and lifts, but Cassidy HOTSHOTS while he gets fere! Cassidy then DIVES and Strong hits barriers! The fans fire up as Cassidy puts Strong in. Cassidy climbs and CROSSBODIES! But his ribs won’t let him cover! Strong lifts Cassidy for the atomic SLAM! Strong drags Cassidy back up, for another BACKBREAKER! And then another BACKBREAKER! And another! Cassidy endures as Strong hits another BACKBREAKER! And then one more BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Cassidy isn’t broken yet but Strong CLUBS him in the ribs.

Strong puts Cassidy in a corner, CHOPS him, and Cassidy sputters as he flounders against ropes. The fans boo, Strong tells them to shut up, and he CHOPS Cassidy again! Strong drags Cassidy up, whips him corner to corner hard, and Cassidy falls in a heap! Strong mockingly asks, “How’s it feel?” Strong drags Cassidy right up, shoves him in a corner, and he fires forearms into the ribs! Strong taunts Cassidy, “You like this?” And he CHOPS again! The fans chant “Roddy Sucks!” but he says Cassidy sucks. Strong whips corner to corner again, Cassidy tumbles up and out and bumps Strong off buckles!

Cassidy goes side to side with buckle bumps and back again! Forearm, buckle bump, repeat! The fans fire up as Cassidy fires off then dribbles away! Strong falls back, Cassidy grits his teeth and the fans rally. Cassidy climbs but Strong ROCKS him first. Strong climbs up and gut wrenches Cassidy for a SUPER BUCKLE BACKBREAKER!! The fans lose their minds while Cassidy writhes and flounders on the floor! Strong goes out to fetch Cassidy, pushes him into the ring and brings him to a corner, to bend Cassidy against the post! The ref counts and the fans boo, but Strong lets go at 4.

Strong storms into the ring to mock the fans, “This is your champ?!” Strong kicks Cassidy around and eggs him on. The fans boo but Strong keeps mocking Cassidy. Strong smirks as he kicks and stomps at Cassidy, then brings him up. Strong CHOPS, but Cassidy stays up! Cassidy shakes his head, stands up tall, and Strong CHOPS again! Cassidy drops to his knees and Strong eggs the fans on. Strong stands Cassidy up, but Cassidy drops before the chop! Strong is amused, and he brings Cassidy back up. Cassidy slips under, ducks ‘n’ dodges and tilt-o-whirls, but the DDT is blocked! GUTBUSTER! Or maybe more a rib breaker!

Strong suplexes, but into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Strong still gets another BACKBREAKER in! The fans rally, Strong gets the legs, BOSTON CRAB! Cassidy endures as Strong sits deep, but Cassidy reaches out! Cassidy crawls, the fans rally, and Cassidy has the ROPEBREAK! Strong lets go at 4, then he storms back up. Strong blocks a kick and he YANKS Cassidy into a BACKBREAKER! And then the STRONG HOLD! The knee digs into the back and ribs, but Cassidy refuses to give up! The fans rally harder and Cassidy fights his way back around! He twists, but Strong makes it a cover! ONE and Cassidy BOOTS Strong away!

Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls and DDTS! Both men are down but Cassidy gets to the apron! Cassidy climbs and leaps, DEEP IMPACT!! Cover, TWO! Strong survives and Cassidy grits his teeth. The fans rally as Cassidy rises, and he “unleashes” kicks on Strong. Then he ramps up to stomp and stomp and stomp! The fans fire up as Cassidy fires off! Cassidy then waits on Strong to get up, and he goes back to a corner. Cassidy aims again, and he’s copying Adam Cole! PANAMA SUNRISE!!! Cover, TWO!! Strong survives Cole’s best move but Cassidy loads up his. The elbow pad is off, but Strong catches Cassidy, HALF NELSON BACKBREAKER!

Strong underhooks Cassidy, but Cassidy Alabama Lifts! Strong fights that to STRONG KNEE! Strong keeps moving, ORANGE PUNCH!! The fans are thunderous as Cassidy staggers back to Alabama Lift, but the back gives up! Cassidy uses ropes for support, BEACH BREAK!! But Cassidy has to crawl to the cover, ROPEBREAK!! Strong survives by a literal foot and Cassidy can’t believe it! The fans rally and Cassidy goes back to a corner. Cassidy reloads again, but that back is holding him back. Cassidy gets frustrated, the fans rally harder, and Cassidy stands! STRONG KNEE!! END OF HEARTACHE!!! Cover, RODDY WINS!

Taven & Bennett celebrate with Strong, because now the Undisputed Kingdom has even more gold! And perhaps the most shocking of all, Strong did this one clean! Is nothing going to stop them from making AEW their kingdom? WAIT! IS THAT KYLE O’REILLY!? The fans are thunderous as Kyle has returned to AEW and is staring down his former friend! But then he smiles, and hugs it out with Roddy! Bennett hands Kyle his shirt to make this official! Kyle takes the shirt, and he is really emotional. Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler are former tag team champions from not just AEW but ROH, AAA and WWE. However, the Blackpool Combat Club has had similar accomplishments, so they don’t see what the fuss is all about. Will Dax & Cash still be #TopGuys after tonight? Or is there about to be a Paradigm Shift in the world of tag team wrestling?

Speaking of tag team wrestling, The Maniac & The Swiss Superman are saying ohhhhhh, what a rush! They’re dressed like the Road Warriors, Hawk & Animal! They’ve been taking shots at FTR honoring the past, is this their parody of it? The teams sort out and Dax starts against Claudio. Dax paces around but Claudio stays put like a statue. The two tie up, Dax headlocks, but Claudio powers up and out. Dax ducks ‘n’ dodges, then cradles, TWO! Claudio has the cradle, ONE!! The two reset and the fans rally. Claudio and Dax tie up, Claudio headlocks but Dax powers out. Claudio sunset flips, TWO! Dax stacks, TWO!

The fans rally and duel, “FTR!” “BCC!” as Claudio has a sunset flip, TWO! Claudio has a ghost pin, TWO! Dax gets up but Claudio stays close. They cool off, reset, and feel things out. They knuckle lock, but then Claudio UPPERCUTS! Dax goes to a corner, Claudio UPPERCUTS again. Claudio pie faces Dax around, but Dax CHOPS! And CHOPS! And then reels Claudio in, but Claudio fights the suplex! They go around, end up in ropes, the ref calls for a break but they end up in a corner first. The ref gets in there, the two finally let off, but then they start throwing SLAPS! They SLAP and SLAP and Dax wobbles!

The fans fire up, Dax frowns and Claudio eggs him on. Claudio then UPPERCUTS, but Dax CHOPS! Now Claudio wobbles, but he UPPERCUTS! Dax CHOPS, Claudio takes a breath, and he UPPERCUTS! Dax SLAPS, SLAPS and fires fast hands! Claudio hits back, the fans fire up for this scrap, and Claudio UPPERCUTS Dax down! Claudio still has to stagger back and lean against ropes, and he tags out to Moxley. The fans rally up and Dax tags Cash. Cash and Moxley circle, tie up, and Cash headlocks. Moxley powers up and out but Cash runs him over! Cash headlocks to grind Moxley down but Moxley fights up.

Moxley powers Cash to the corner, CHOPS and pie faces on repeat! Then Moxley whips corner to corner but Cash reverses and back drops on the rebound! Cash whips Moxley to DROPKICK him down, then covers, ONE!! Cash CHOPS Moxley, UPPERCUTS him to a corner, and CHOPS again! UPPERCUT! CHOP! Tag to Dax, and FTR mugs Moxley! The fans fire up and Cash lets off to fire Greensboro up more. Dax CHOPS and the fans “WOO~!” Dax whips, Moxley KICKS back, and then Moxley gets Dax over to tag Claudio. The BCC mugs Dax now, and Claudio UPPERCUTS, CHOPS and repeats!

Claudio HEADBUTTS, body shots, and knees low. Claudio whips but Dax kicks back! And RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS! The fans fire up as Dax stomps Claudio, then claws his face into the chinlock, to then ELBOW Claudio in the nose! Tag to Cash, they whip, trip and elbow drop! Then Cash basement dropkicks! Cash HEADBUTTS Claudio to a corner, then CHOPS! Claudio sputters but Cash bumps him off buckles. Cash CHOPS again, then puts Claudio in an open corner to CHOP! Cash climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count along, Cash goes to TEN, but Claudio DUMPS Cash to the apron, then Cash falls to the floor!

The ref has Claudio stay back, but Moxley sneaks in to send Cash into railing! Claudio tags Moxley, and he fetches Cash to then bring him around. Moxley makes Cash straddle the railing! Then Moxley LARIATS Cash down! Cash falls into the front row, but Moxley goes up and over to fetch him. Moxley fires forearms in that corner, but Cash fires back! They brawl, Moxley DUMPS Cash out, and then Moxley gets Cash into the ring. Tag to Claudio and the BCC keeps Cash down. Claudio gut wrenches and SUPLEXES! Cover, TWO! Cash stays in this but Claudio stays on him with a facelock.

Cash endures and the fans rally up. Cash fights up, he carries Claudio, but Claudio cranks the facelock! Cash still pushes forward, but Claudio powers him back. Cash back drops free! But Moxley tags in and he keeps Cash down with a facelock! The fans again duel, “FTR!” “BCC!” Moxley floats, ties up Cash’s legs, then headscissors Cash! Dax runs in to KICK Moxley in the back! Mox is mad but Cash is free to CHOP! Cash fires a forearm but Moxley pokes him in the eye! Tag to Claudio and he KICKS Cash from the ropes! Cover, ONE!! Cash toughs it out but Claudio stomps a hand! The fans rally, Claudio UPPERCUTS into a backslide! TWO!

Tag to Moxley, he and Claudio keep Cash back, then Moxley DECKS Cash! Moxley puts Cash under the ropes to GUILLOTINE him! The ref is busy keeping Dax back, and Claudio DOUBLE STOMPS Cash on the apron! Moxley drags Cash up to CHOP! Moxley puts Cash on the top rope, climbs up after him, and CLAWS Cash’s back! The fans fire up while both men are down! Moxley flounders away, staggers around, hot tags to Claudio and Dax! Dax JABS, JABS and JABS then fires haymakers! Dax DECKS Moxley, CHOPS and ROCKS Claudio on repeat! Moxley CLUBS Dax, whips him, but Dax reverses to wrench and short arm LARIAT! Claudio runs up, but Dax gets around! O’Conner Roll, TWO! Dax goes up the corner to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO!

Dax keeps moving, Claudio pops him up but Dax makes it a cradle! TWO!! Dax kicks low, suplexes, but Claudio slips free! Claudio kicks, reels him in, but Cash makes the save! Dax ROCKS Claudio, tags Cash, and then gets Claudio up! Cash climbs but Claudio powers out! Claudio POSTS Dax while Cash leaps over, but Moxley ROCKS Cash! Cash staggers into a LARIAT from Claudio! Claudio stands Cash up to UPPERCUT but into a backslide! Claudio fights that, but Dax tags in! Claudio ROCKS Cash but Dax HOTSHOTS! Cash UPPERCUTS then pops Claudio up, DOOMSDAY POWERSLAM COUNTER!! Moxley BODIES Cash outta the ring, Claudio covers Dax, TWO!! Dax is sputtering and his head is spouting blood! Claudio gets Dax up, tags Moxley, and they set up for the ASSISTED AIR RAID CRASH! Cover, TWO!! Dax survives and has a crimson mask. Claudio CLOBBERS Cash while Moxley paces around. Moxley kicks Dax, eggs him on, so Dax stands up. Dax fires a forearm so Moxley gives it back!

The fans rally as the forearms go back and forth! Dax snarls through the pain and the blood, the forearms keep going! Moxley eggs Dax on so Dax JABS! Moxley JABS, they throw shot after shot! Moxley KICKS the leg, runs, but into a POP-UP POWERBOMB! Jackknife bridge, TWO!! Cash kept Claudio outta the ring on that one, but now Claudio boots him back. Claudio runs up, but he’s sent into barriers! Dax dodges Moxley, backslides, TWO! Cash is up, Dax reels Moxley in, MIND BREAKER PILEDRIVER!! Cash DIVES into Claudio, Dax covers Moxley, TWO!! Moxley survives and the fans fire up again!

Dax is frustrated, and that crimson mask continues to grow. Moxley goes to a corner, “This is Awesome!” as Dax storms up. Dax reels Moxley back in, hoists him up top, and then coordinates with Cash. Dax CHOPS Moxley, climbs up after him, but then Claudio UPPERCUTS Cash! Moxley fires body shots, hops down and gets around, and he Electric Chair Lifts Dax! Claudio goes up and up, UPPERCUT DOOMSDAY!! But Cash SPLASHES the cover!! All four men are down and the fans are thunderous! The fans cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Cash HEADBUTTS Claudio, Moxley and Dax go back to firing forearms.

The brawl is going on, Moxley fires headbutts! But Dax clotheslines Moxley up and out! Then he ROCKS Claudio! Claudio fires shots on Dax, then swings, but is sent to Cash! Claudio blocks a kick to fire uppercuts! But he runs into SHATTER- NO, Claudio catches Dax, Moxley gives Cash a CUTTER! GIANT SWING! Dax goes around and around, a demented sprinkler with all that blood! Moxley DROPKICKS Dax outta the swing! Cover, TWO?!? Dax survives and shocks everyone! Fans hope they “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Moxley BITES Dax’s bloody forehead! Cash sends Claudio into railing!

Moxley puts Dax up top, climbs up after him, and he elbows away at the bloody forehead! Moxley gets TEN, then BITES the wound again!! Dax SPITS in Moxley’s face then ROCKS him! But Claudio’s back to BOOT Dax! Moxley & Claudio both climb up, but Cash SHOVES Claudio down! Cash gets Moxley off the corner, Dax adjusts, BULLDOG BOMB!! Cover, TWO?!? Moxley survives, roars to his feet, but runs into SHATTER MACHINE!!! Cover, Claudio YANKS Dax away!! Cash ROCKS Claudio, builds speed and DIVES into an UPPERCUT! Claudio brings Cash around, reels him in, NEUTRALIZER to the floor!

But Dax gets Claudio, PILEDRIVER to the floor! Dax hurries in, Moxley catches him! PARADIMG- NO, Dax wrenches out! Moxley fights the piledriver, Dax sunset flips, but Moxley rolls Dax! DEATH RIDER!! AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm w/ Luther & Mariah May VS Deonna Purrazzo!

Former friends turned bitter enemies is a tale as old as time in pro-wrestling. So then, will the leading lady of AEW take top billing in this 2024 remake of the classic tale? Or will The Virtuosa prove herself the true star of this Women’s Division?

Wait a minute! Deonna said she wanted the old Toni Storm, the rock ‘n’ roll and tough as nails Toni, and… Oh, wait, that’s Mariah May cosplaying. Well, she IS a superfan, so she’s got the moves down. “Timeless” Toni now makes her entrance. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who lives the Hollywood ending!

The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two stare down. Deonna and Toni circle, tie up, and Toni arm-drags! Then she poses and the fans cheer. Deonna shrugs that off and resets with Toni. The fans duel as the two feel things out. They knuckle lock, then double knuckle lock, then Deonna wrenches and wrangles and arm-drags Toni away! Deonna takes a bow while the fans are torn. Toni kicks the ropes in frustration, then circles with Deonna again. Toni gets around to waistlock, but Deonna wrenches to wristlock back. Toni moves around, slips through, wrenches and wristlocks and wrangles Deonna.

Deonna rolls, stands, powers through and headlocks for the takeover. The fans cheer, Toni pulls hair and headscissors. Deonna turns Toni over, ties up the legs, and floats to slap Toni around. Deonna gets an arm, bends the fingers, but Toni gets the ROPEBREAK! Deonna lets off and Toni is a bit frustrated. The fans rally up as the two reset. They knuckle lock again, and Toni drops back, rolls to wrench and wristlock. Deonna wrenches to hammerlock, but Toni squats, headlocks, spins and hits the takeover. But Deonna headscissors right back! Deonna pushes up to add pressure but Toni endures.

The fans rally as Toni moves around. Toni headstands, pops free, then floats to the headlock. But Deonna wrenches right out to a wristlock. Toni pulls hair to put Deonna in a corner! Toni ROCKS Deonna, whips corner to corner, but Deonna goes up, under, baits Toni in and steps over to roll her up! FUJIWARA, but ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer the technical exchange while Deonna lets off slowly. Deonna drags Toni up, wrenches again, but Toni ROCKS her! And CHOPS her! Deonna fires back, the forearms fly and Deonna gets the edge! Deonna CHOPS but Toni knees low! Toni whips but Deonna KICKS and LARIATS!

The fans fire up while Toni bails out. Deonna keeps her eyes on Toni while Luther coaches Toni up. Deonna rallies the fans and runs in to WRECK Toni with a dropkick! Deonna puts Toni in but she glares at Luther. Deonna storm sin but Toni is right on her. Deonna wrenches to go for the arm! Toni RAMS Deonna into the corner, fires off hands, but lets off as the ref counts. The fans rally up, Toni whips but Deonna reverses! They almost run into the ref! Toni LOW BLOW MULE KICKS! Wait, what? And then Toni BULLDOGS Deonna down! Cover, TWO! Toni rains down fists, the ref reprimands, and Toni lets off.

The fans rally up while Toni paces around. Toni drags Deonna up, puts her through ropes, and then CHOKES her! The ref counts and reprimands, Toni throws Deonna down! Cover, TWO! Toni stays on Deonna with a chinlock, then shifts into a partial Camel Clutch! The fans rally while Deonna endures, but Toni HIP DROPS Deonna. Toni stomps Deonna, too, then swaggers around. Toni HEADBUTTS Deonna down, drags her back up, and then UPPERCUTS her back down. Toni soaks up the cheers and jeers, then brings Deonna up again. Toni reels Deonna in, but Deonna snaps to a cradle! Toni stands on Deonna’s head, lets off as the ref counts, then scuffs Deonna while she paces. The fans rally, Toni scuffs Deonna more, but Deonna stands. Toni pie faces, Deonna SLAPS! Toni CHOPS, SLAPS, then SLAPS again! Deonna drops to a knee, Toni stands her back up. Deonna ducks the slap to fire off forearms! The fans are torn, but Toni knees low! Toni whips, Deonna ducks ‘n’ dodges to LARIAT! Deonna rallies on Toni now, then kicks low to run and KNEE LIFT! Then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Roll and FUJIWARA! Toni endures and the fans fire up! Toni flails, reaches out, and rolls free! But Deonna BOOTS her down!

The fans are torn as Deonna fires herself up! Deonna storms up to Toni, drags her up, and reels her in. But Toni wrenches out, swings, but into a BACKBREAKER and FLATLINER! Cover, TWO! Deonna is frustrated but the fans rally back up. Toni crawls to a corner, Deonna takes aim, and Deonna runs in, but is tripped into buckles! Toni goes corner to corner and SWEET HIP MUSIC! Toni then drags Deonna up to a DDT! Cover, TWO!! Deonna survives and Toni is beside herself! Luther coaches Toni, the fans rally up, and Toni drags Deonna back up. Toni reels her in but Deonna trips her to a jackknife bridge! TWO, and Toni blocks the boot!

Toni trips Deonna, BREAK A LEG ANKLE LOCK!! Deonna endures, reaches out, and the fans rally up again. Deonna crawls forward, but Toni drags her away! Deonna turns over, Toni turns her back. Deonna turns over again and BOOTS Toni to the apron! Deonna BOOTS Toni off the apron but Luther catches her! But Deonna is up on the corner to CROSSBODY them both down!! The fans fire up and Deonna hurries to put Toni in. Deonna storms in after Toni, dodges the haymaker to tilt-o-whirl, LA MYSTICA! FUJIWARA!! Toni endures, even as Deonna pushes way back! Toni rolls, Deonna rolls with her and keeps her from the ropes!

Toni continues to endure the Fujiwara Armbar, but she tucks and rolls to get a cover, TWO! Deonna has both arms now! Luther distracts the ref, the ref misses Toni tapping out! Mariah rushes in but Deonna BOOTS her down! Toni stands up to kick and reel Deonna in! STORM ZERO!! Cover, Toni wins!!

Don Callis Family Feud: Will Ospreay VS Konosuke Takeshita!

The Aerial Assassin has finished with NJPW, and he is truly All Elite now! And to make his return to AEW truly special, Don Callis himself said this will be the match of a DECADE! The #BillyGoat and The Alpha battle as two of the best rope-to-rope wrestlers, and we’re about to see who’s the best! But the real question is, will the Family still be alright after tonight?

Speaking of Don Callis, he joins commentary to let us know, this is like Jordan VS Pippin 1v1! This is a dream match, the match of the decade, and you can all thank him for it! The bell rings and the fans fire up already! Ospreay and Takeshita circle, tie up, and Ospreay wrenches. Takeshita wrenches back, wristlocks, but Ospreay rolls, rolls and steps over to headlock. The fans sing “Ospreay~, Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~! Ospreay~, Ospreay~!” Takeshita powers up but can’t power out of the headlock as Ospreay holds tight. The two end up on ropes, the ref counts, and Ospreay SLAPS Takeshita! Ospreay headlocks, Takeshita powers up and out, and they RAM shoulders! Ospreay ducks the right to ROCK Takeshita! Ospreay whips, Takeshita reverses but Ospreay ducks ‘n ‘dodges and RANAS! The fans fire up and Ospreay blows them a kiss. Ospreay drags Takeshita up, CHOPS him, then bumps him off buckles. Ospreay UPPERCUTS, whips, but Takeshita reverses. Ospreay catches Takeshita to the COBRA TWIST! Takeshita endures, powers out with a hip toss, then goes after Ospreay. Ospreay BOOTS from the corner, goes up and out to springboard in, PIP PIP CHEERIO! The fans fire up while both men are down! Ospreay stands, he fires shots on Takeshita, then whips. Takeshita reverses but Ospreay handsprings, NEURALIZER KICK! Takeshita tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up with “OI! OI! OI!” Ospreay then aims to PLANCHA! Direct hit on Takeshita at the ramp! The fans fire up while Ospreay catches his breath.

Ospreay drags Takeshita up and puts him in, then reels him in for a BIG back suplex! Cover, ONE!! Takeshita shows that grit now, throwing it back at Ospreay. Ospreay says okay, and he drags Takeshita back up. Ospreay reels Takeshita in but Takeshita fights the lift. So Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks! And winds up, to CHOP! Takeshita wobbles, Ospreay runs, but into a POP-UP LANDSLIDE! SICK KICK! The fans fire up as Ospreay bails out and Takeshita FLIES! Direct hit at the ramp!! Takeshita sits up, he brings Ospreay up at 7 and puts him in the ring. Takeshita then goes up the corner and the fans rally. Takeshita vows to end it here, to SUPER DUPER SENTON onto knees!! Ospreay hurries to get Takeshita in a drop zone, then he goes up! LEAP OF FAITH but he has to bail out! Takeshita gets around, full nelsons, but Ospreay breaks that, only to get a HIGH ANGLE GERMAN!! Takeshita roars, reels back, and ROCKS Ospreay! Ospreay staggers, sputters, but he fires up! The fans fire up with Ospreay, but Takeshita ROCKS him again! Ospreay just uses that, and he headbutts the buckles! Ospreay blocks a shot, fires Kawada Kicks, but Takeshita DECKS him!! The ref checks Ospreay now while Takeshita stands up. Takeshita shakes out the cobwebs and winds up the arm. Takeshita runs, but Ospreay slips through!

Ospreay gets Takeshita up, Takeshita slips through! Takeshita gets Ospreay up, Ospreay pops free! HOOK KICK! Underhooks, but Takeshita fights that! Just as Justin Roberts puts it, the winner of this unbelievable battle is none other than the Aerial Assassin! The fans boo as Callis gets in the ring, but he does want to make sure both his top stars are okay. And Kyle Fletcher makes his way out, too, also part of the Family and a best friend to Ospreay through the United Empire. Ospreay and Takeshita bow respect to one another, and the fans cheer again. Ospreay sees Kyle again after being apart for a few months.  And they hug it out! But BREAKING NEWS for AEW Dynamite! Ospreay must again fight a fellow Don Callis Family member as he goes up against Fletcher! Will the Billy Goat prove to the Aussie Arrow why he was the leader of the Empire?

 

AEW World Championship Triple Threat: Samoa Joe VS Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Hangman Page!

The King of Wrestling Television is no stranger to Triple Threats. The numbers did not spell disaster for him way back at TNA Sacrifice in 2008, but this is a very different formula this year. The Realest says he’s the most dangerous man in AEW, but The Cowboy says he’d rather DIE than see the title go home to Swerve’s House. With the intensity unlike anything seen for this title before, will Samoa Joe still whoop everyone’s asses? Or will there be a new world champion one way or another?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see which way history breaks!

The bell rings and the fans are fired up already. Hangman, Swerve and Joe all stare each other down then step closer. Hangman gets in Swerve’s face, so Joe HEADBUTTS them both! Joe JABS Swerve, JABS Hangman, CHOPS Swerve, ROCKS and CHOPS Hangman, then back elbows and PELES Hangman in a corner! Joe runs up to Swerve but Swerve BOOTS him away! Swerve goes up, but Joe just walks away from the flying uppercut! Swerve flounders out of the ring and Nana hurries to check him. Joe JABS Hangman again and again, then runs. Joe dodges Hangman’s lariat to DIVE onto Swerve!

But Hangman builds speed, to DIVE into a GAMANGIRI! Joe storms up on Hangman in a corner to CHOP! The fans “WOO~!” and fire up as Joe CHOPS again! Fans want that “One More Time!” but Joe HEADBUTTS and ROCKS Hangman instead. Joe scoops Hangman, Hangman slips free and shoves Joe for Swerve to DUMP him out! Swerve then fires off on Hangman! Swerve whips, Hangman reverses and scoops, to FALL AWAY SLAM! Hangman kips up, but so does Swerve! Swerve then BOOTS Hangman down! Hangman flounders to a corner, Swerve stomps away on him! Nana says there you go!

Swerve lets off but the fans continue to rally behind him. Swerve stands Hangman up but Hangman fights the half nelson. They go to ropes. Swerve O’Conner Rolls but Hangman rolls free, only for Swerve to EDDY GORDO RANA! Hangman staggers to a corner, Swerve runs up to UPPERCUT! Swerve snapmares Hangman, goes up, FALLING UPPERCUT! The fans fire up as Swerve hits the Griddy! Swerve then goes to the apron to FLYING UPPERCUT Joe down! And back to the Griddy! Swerve has the fans rallying up more, then steps in to SHOTGUN Hangman down! Cover, ONE!! Hangman snarls but Swerve keeps cool.

Swerve kicks Hangman around, throws hands, then has Hangman in a corner. The fans duel between “Whose House?” and “COWBOY SHID!” while Swerve ROCKS Hangman. Swerve whips, Hangman hurdles then comes back to clinch, BELLY2BELLY! Cover, Joe breaks it in time! Joe stands Hangman up to CHOP him down, then brings him around for forearms. Joe JABS away in a corner, then scrapes his boot off Hangman. Joe BLASTS Swerve off the apron and then BOOT WASHES Hangman! Joe reels Hangman in for a POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO, but Joe steps over into the STF!

The fans fire up as Hangman endures! Joe shifts to go full CROSSFACE! Hangman endures more, but he’s fading! Swerve BOOTS Joe off Hangman! Swerve and Joe stand and throw hands! Joe ROCKS Swerve, but Swerve still hits back. Joe ROCKS Swerve again, but Swerve rebounds to BOOT! Joe CLOBBERS Swerve, then looms over him. Joe bumps Swerve off buckles, puts him up top, and then tucks him in! Swerve fights that but Joe CHOPS! Joe climbs up after Swerve and hoists him up, but Swerve resists the superplex! Swerve throws forearms and haymakers but Joe HEADBUTTS back! Swerve tumbles hard to the apron and then the floor!

But Hangman gets Joe! Joe CLUBS away on Hangman and Hangman falls. But then Swerve gets back in! Swerve tries but Joe CLUBS away on him! Swerve sits down, Joe considers his options, and he goes up!? But then Swerve and Hangman actually work together! They DOUBLE POWERBOMB Joe!! The fans fire up and the two bitter enemies look to each other. The fans rally up again as they stand up. They get forehead to forehead, Swerve pats Hangman on the cheek, and the haymakers start flying! The fans fire up as this gets fast ‘n’ furious! Swerve gets the edge over Hangman, but Hangman keeps him from running ropes!

Swerve kicks free but Hangman reels him in again, and LARIATS Swerve from behind! The fans are torn but Hangman takes a moment to catch his breath. Nana coaches Swerve, but Hangman brings Swerve up to ROCK him with a haymaker. Swerve staggers, Hangman ROCKS him again. Swerve stays standing, comes right back, but Hangman ROCKS him again! Swerve laughs through it! Hangman ROCKS Swerve again and again but Swerve just eggs him on! ROLLING- NO, roll-up and then somersault, but into DEAD- NO! Swerve sunset flips the Deadeye, Joe breaks it! Nana is frustrated for Swerve!

Joe runs up but Swerve DUMPS Joe back out! Swerve goes to the apron and he BOOTS Joe down! The fans fire up as Swerve stands tall. Swerve gets in, but Hangman scoops him! Swerve fights and leans back to scoop Hangman! Hangman drops down, victory roll, but Hangman ends up in the corner. Hangman ELBOWS Swerve away, goes up and up, QUEBRADA into the dragon sleeper! Inverted suplex into the TOMBSTONE! Cover, Joe breaks it again! Joe won’t let these two decide his fate, and he drags Hangman up. Joe whips Hangman, Hangman reverses and runs in at the corner. Joe URENAGE, but Hangman arm-drags!

Joe gets up but Hangman BOOTS him down! Fans are again torn as Hangman Alabama Lifts Swerve! Swerve throws body shots, then turns things around to POWERBOMB Hangman! Swerve rolls Hangman through to somersault FLATLINER! Then float over to the deadlift BRAINBUSTER! Cover, Joe again breaks it! A hattrick of saves for Joe, and the fans rally as he storms up on Swerve. Joe JABS Swerve, JABS Hangman, and repeat! Joe runs at Hangman in a corner to forearm! Joe ROCKS Swerve at the ropes, then CHOPS him down! Joe goes back to Hangman to run him corner to corner for a buckle bump!

Joe puts Hangman up top, tucks him in, and lifts him off the corner! MUSCLE BUSTER!! But Swerve is up top! KILL STOMPS! The fans are thunderous but Swerve isn’t done yet! Swerve has two targets, he aims at Joe! HOUSE CALL! But he won’t stop there, either! Swerve wants to finish Hangman, too! Hangman sits up, “Whose house?!” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” HOUSE CALL!! Cover, TWO?!?! Hangman survives, did Swerve just make a mistake not just covering Joe? Nana protests the count, but Joe storms up on Swerve. Joe and Swerve fire forearms back and forth, then Joe gives Kawada Kicks!

Swerve stays up, Joe runs, but Swerve fireman’s carries!? Joe slips right free to COQUINA- NO, Swerve drops down to KICK from below! Joe goes to a corner, Swerve runs up, but Joe ELBOWS him. Joe goes up the corner, but Swerve BOOTS him! Joe returns to ground level, Swerve puts a leg in the ropes, and then PENDULUM DDT! The fans fire up while Swerve goes back up the corner. Swerve aims again, to 450 SPLASH onto Joe’s back! Swerve sputters, but he stands back up to reload! Joe sits up, into the KILL STOMPS!!! Cover, TWO?!? And Hangman even drags the ref right out of the ring?!

Fans boo as Hangman is truly resorting to anything to keep Swerve from winning! Swerve rushes up but Hangman UPPERCUTS him! Hangman hurries to grab the world title belt! Hangman gets in the ring, he takes aim, BELT SHOT on Swerve!! Fans boo even harder but Hangman just glares as he reloads! Nana shouts no, but Swerve stands into another BELT SHOT!! Hangman tells Swerve that he should’ve listened to him! Swerve will NEVER have this belt, it is HANGMAN’S! Then Hangman turns around, slingshots at Joe, BUCKSHOT!! And he’s not done! Hangman reloads, slingshots again, BUCKSHOT!! Cover, but no ref to count it!

Hangman realizes the mistake he made, but then a substitute ref runs in! Cover, TWO!!! Hangman is furious at Bryce Remsburg but it’s Hangman’s own fault for taking out Paul Turner! Hangman is about to lose his mind, if he hasn’t already in some way. Hangman goes to the apron, he reloads and takes off the elbow pad. Joe staggers up, BUCK- NO, Joe gets under! COQUINA CLUTCH!! Hangman flails, but Swerve is up top! SKY TWISTER onto them both!! The fans are thunderous as all three men are down! The ref checks all three men, they’re somehow all okay to continue. Nana gives Swerve his bejeweled crown! Swerve considers it, and says no?!

Fans cheer as Swerve wants to do this the right way! But then Joe catches him into a COQUINA CLUTCH! But Swerve drops to a victory roll, so Hangman CLOBBERS the ref?!? Hangman beats down Bryce and the fans are furious! Hangman TOSSES Bryce, but Swerve fires off on Hangman! Swerve gets Joe up, fires off on him, too, then ENZIGIRIS! Swerve storms up on Hangman to TOSS him out! Hangman holds on to skin the cat, though! LARIAT! But Joe LARIATS Hangman! Joe clotheslines Swerve in a corner, puts him up top, but Swerve fights the tuck! Paul Turner has revived, Swerve BOOTS Joe and Hangman BUCKSHOTS!

Swerve comes off the top to steal the BUCKSHOT!! And then the half nelson, J M L DRIVER!!! But Joe gets Hangman, HALF NELSON SUPLEX!! And COQUINA CLUTCH on Hangman!!! Turner is there to watch as Hangman is turning red! Swerve flounders but Hangman TAPS! JOE WINS!!!

Sixteen years after Steiner Math and Sacrifice, Samoa Joe still conquers the Triple Threat! If two men could not take this title, will no one ever dethrone the King of Wrestling TV? As for Hangman and Swerve, there is a question of why The Cowboy tapped out. Was it really because he could not get free of Joe’s grip? Or was it just to keep his promise that Swerve would not win? And even after those questions, there is also a question of when and where Swerve will get his next chance at this title.

AEW World Tag Team Championships Tornado Tag Match: Sting & Darby Allin w/ Ric Flair VS The Young Bucks!

After almost 40 years of a truly iconic career, after adding a 25th championship to the Hall of Fame worthy résumé, it is all coming to an end. Sting has one last ride here in the Greensboro Coliseum alongside his best and favorite tag team partner to defend not just these titles, but also his legacy and his honor. Will Sting break the trend and retire on top, standing on his own two feet? Or will Matthew & Nicholas Jackson take the titles, take the spotlight, and ruin the moment all for their own self-gratification?

The Nature Boy is here to support his friend and rival, and we even get Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat as special guest timekeeper! The EVP Bucks rise from under the stage a la the American Nightmare’s old elevator, Matt wearing a black robe and Nick wearing a white one. And they don’t have Young Buck bucks shoot from those confetti cannons anymore, it’s all AEW business cards now. As for Sting, the special short film, “The Final Showtime,” plays as if at an old movie theater.

Sting has a private screening of his career retrospective, from the bright and colorful days with all the great rivalries and accolades, to when he made the change to fight the NWO, and finally to his arrival here in AEW and the wild matches he’s had alongside Darby. Sting laughs, cries, winces in remembering those rough landings, and the fans can be heard chanting, “Thank You, Sting!” The film finishes playing, the lights come up, and Sting looks around one last time. “It’s showtime. Showtime for the last time.” Sting looks into the camera and says, “Let’s do this. WOO!!”

Back in Greensboro, Sting makes his entrance, his sons dressed up to reference his most iconic looks! Even the music changes to hearken back to peak Sting! “Ladies and gentlemen, this is the legend! This is the Icon! This! IIIIIIIS! STIIIIIIING~!” With that, the introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if this story has a storybook ending!

DARBY DIVES ONTO THE BUCKS!! Commentary is taken by surprise, the bell rings, and Darby tosses The Bucks back in for Sting. Sting puts Matt in one corner, he puts Nick in the other, and then he and Darby coordinate to STINGER SPLASH and COFFIN SPLASH! Then they go the other way, another STING SPLASH and COFFIN SPLASH! The fans howl with Sting, and then Sting calls in the Stinger Boys! They get to STINGER SPLASH Matt, then Darby adds his COFFIN SPLASH, then Sting adds the STINGER SPLASH! They do the same onto Nick, and the fans are thunderous for the Relentless Icons!

Sting gets Nick up to SPINEBUSTER, but Matt runs up! Sting blocks a kick, then he trips Matt onto Nick! Sting steps through to have both Bucks, in a DOUBLE SCORPION DEATHLOCK!! But that’s a lot to hold onto, even for Sting, and the Bucks wriggle free. The fans chant “Thank You, Sting!” as he and the boys go out after The Bucks. Sting SLINGS Nick into railing, then SLINGS him into more railing! Meanwhile, Darby and the boys have brought out some tables! Matt fires hands but Sting doesn’t even budge! Sting SLINGS Matt into railing now! Sting grabs as chair to SMACK Matt, then he SMACKS Nick!

The tables are set up nearby, and Sting brings Nick all the way around to TOSS over barriers! Matt gets up, Sting TOSSES him over other barriers! Darby helps coordinate things, and he finds a ladder! The fans are loving this already, but then Nick pokes Sting in the eyes! The fans boo but Nick soaks it up. Nick climbs up, only for Sting to ROCKET LAUNCH him to the floor! But Matt is back and he kicks Sting low! “How ’bout that, huh!?” Matt reels Sting in, but Sting back drops him away! The Bucks regroup and Darby goes up and up to SUPER COFFIN DROP onto them both! The fans are thunderous while the Bucks writhe!

Sting and Darby coordinate with the boys, they go looking under the ring, and they bring out a pane of glass?! Sting wants to go hardcore something fierce in his final match! Because here’s another pane! Darby calls to the sons, they help get those positioned by the chair square they made at the ramp side! Darby approves, and he fires hands on Matt. Darby SMACKS Matt off steel steps, then whips Nick into more railing! Darby digs Matt’s face into the steel and tells Sting to swing! Sting has his baseball bat! Matt narrowly avoids being beheaded!! Sting aims at Nick, Nick dodges, and the bat SHATTERS the glass!

The fans fire up and Nick freaks out! Nick & Matt try to run away into the crowd? Sting & Darby pursue and the fans fire up as the brawling gets even closer! Darby CLAWS Nick’s back, Sting ROCKS Matt, and they end up heading towards the backside of the stage! Sting brawls with Matt at gorilla, then they join Darby and Nick on stage. But Nick JAWBREAKERS Darby! Sting ROCKS Matt, follows him to the far side of the stage, but Nick aims at tables! Nick reels Darby in, suplexes, FALCON ARROW through the tables!! Matt turns things around on Sting with haymakers, but Sting blocks the hip toss!

Sting throws body shots, he dragon sleepers, and fans fire up, only for Matt to rake the eyes! Matt reels Sting in, and he FALCON ARROWS Sting through more tables!! All four men are down around the stage, but Nick rises first to soak up all that heat. Matt also drags himself from the wreckage, and Nick brings Darby towards ringside. Fans chant “F THE YOUNG BUCKS!” Nick is surprised to hear that again after all these years. Nick CLUBS Darby, puts him in the ring, then grabs that ladder Darby brought out. Matt rejoins Nick as Nick props that ladder up in a corner. The Bucks get Darby up and they aim for the ladder!

Fans boo but the Bucks still LADDER BOMB Darby down! Darby rebounds off the ladder and staggers into a corner. Matt sends Nick in but Darby BOOTS him! Darby BOOTS Matt, too, then jumps over Matt to get around Nick. Darby sends the Bucks into each other, then THROWBACK STUNNERS Nick! Darby fires off hands on Matt, then hops on for CODE RED! The fans are thunderous as Darby takes care of both Bucks, then hobbles over to the ladder. Darby stands that up all by himself, and it is tall! Darby makes sure the ladder is lined up just right, then he goes out to SMACK Nick off the steel steps! And again! And again!

The fans fire up with Darby, he goes back to the ladder, and he climbs! Fans are starting to put together what Darby’s after, and Darby shouts out Sting. Darby SUPER SWANTONS through pane glass!! Matt got Nick outta there, that glass goes all into Darby! Darby’s back is peppered with bloody spots, and now Nick gets a table into the ring. Matt has gone back for Sting and is punching away to bring Sting back to ringside. Doc Sampson checks Darby and now Sting is all alone. Nick sets the table up near the ladder, Matt waves to the fans, and the Bucks mug Sting against ropes. Then they bring Sting over to the table.

The fans boo and chant “F THE YOUNG BUCKS!” Sting fights the double suplex! Sting fires off hands but the Bucks mug him again. The fans boo more as the Bucks whip Sting to a corner. Matt mocks the howl, he and Nick run in, but Sting moves so the GAMANGIRI hits Matt! Sting then CLOBBERS Nick off the apron! Sting dribbles Matt off the mat! The fans fire up as Sting puts Matt on the table, CHOKES him to keep him in place, and then he CLUBS Matt for good measure. Fans go nuts as Sting climbs! Sting just saw his highlight reel, and he wants to add to it! But Matt stops Sting and CLUBS him!

Nick puts a pane of glass in a corner, but Matt POWERBOMBS Sting through the table! But Sting rises up!? The Bucks freak out, and Sting fires off hands! The Bucks mug him again, and DOUBLE HIP TOSS Sting through the glass!! The fans lose their minds as the Bucks then drag Sting up, just to LOW BLOW! Matt dragon sleepers, to steal the SCORPION DEATH DROP!! Cover, TWO?!?! Sting survives his own move and Matt is furious! Nick tips the ladder to get it out of the ring, and The Bucks work on what more they have to do to keep The Icon down. They go outside and look around for plunder while the fans rally as hard as they can.

Nick goes to the timekeeper’s area, and he grabs one of the title belts! But Ricky Steamboat grabs it, too! The fans fire up as The Dragon refuses to let Nick do what he wants! Nick still snatches the belt away, and takes a swing! Ricky ducks it, to then DECK Nick with the double fist! But then Matt JAMS Ricky with a chair! Fans boo but Flair gets involved now! Flair shouts to Sting, but Matt has the belt! Matt warns Flair to get outta here! Flair says no, but Matt says get out or else! Flair tells Matt to just do it then! Flair shields Sting’s body, and Matt lets off. The refs tell Flair he needs to go, but then the Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK Flair!!!

Fans boo but then wait! Ricky’s back up! So the Bucks DOUBLE SUPERKICK him, too!! The fans boo the disrespect to the elderly legends, and then Matt BELT SHOTS Sting!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Sting survives and the fans are thunderous! The Icon is superhuman and The Bucks are furious! The fans rally as hard as they ever have before as Sting rises. The Bucks grin and mock HBK’s goodbye to Flair! “We’re NOT sorry, we HATE you!” DOUBLE SUPERKICKS!! But Sting stays on his feet?!? The fans are electric as Sting just stares The Bucks down! Sting DOUBLE LARIATS! And then SCORPION DEATH DROP on Matt!! Cover, Nick breaks it!

Sting doesn’t care, he just gets Matt up again! But Matt snapmares free, and Nick is back in! E V P TRIGGER!!!! Cover, TWO?!?!?!? HOW?!?!?!? Nick gets right in Rick Knox’s face, but Matt calms him down. Matt says to relax and focus, they can still finish this. The Bucks sit Sting up, shake his hand and mockingly say thank you and it has been a pleasure doing business with him. Then E V P TRIGGER again!!!! Cover, ONE?!?!?!??! Forget superhuman, is Sting an immortal?!? And he even eggs them on! So they DOUBLE SUPERKICK!!!! Matt says this is it!! Matt drags Sting up, gut wrenches, and Nick goes up a corner.

Wait! Darby is back and he SHOVES Nick off the corner! Nick crashes down through a table!!! Sting slips free to dragon sleeper Matt! The fans are going insane for the SCORPION DEATH DROP!!!! Cover, TWO?!?!?!! Matt survives and now Sting is shocked. Darby climbs, his back all cut and bloody, but he still hits a BLOODY COFFIN DROP!! All that blood is wiped off onto Matt’s black suit, and Sting turns Matt over!! One final SCORPION DEATHLOCK!!!! Matt flails, reaches out, but there’s no ropebreaks! MATT TAPS, STING & DARBY WIN!!!

Greensboro erupts, and even Sting can’t believe he pulled it off! Despite everything the Bucks threw at them, and despite everything  the Bucks threw them through, the Relentless Icons are victorious! This is the most incredible punctuation that could ever be put on such an incredible career! Darby gets a mic to say we’ve got about three minutes left, so let’s show some love for the Stinger Man. The fans keep on cheering, and again chant, “Thank You, Sting! Thank You, Sting!” Darby hands the mic to the man himself, and Sting says, “Thank you, Greensboro. To be honest with you, I’ve been thanking you all since March of 1988.”

Sting says his 45 minute draw for the world title with Flair, thank you, Nature Boy. Is he still here? Well, thank you, Ric, all the same. And Greensboro, you were incredible in 88, and have been all the way to right now. Sting was saying over an dover in interviews, he wants this to be a night fans will not forget. That this should be a night etched into our minds for years to come. And this is him saying this, this IS a night he will not forget. Thank you, Greensboro, you are awesome! Judging by some of the tears in the crowd, Sting is right that this night will live on in the memories of the fans here tonight and watching at home.

Sting says this is definitely the time to give thanks. Thanks to his greatest tag team partner, Darby Allin. How many stitches are these gonna need. Darby says he once said he’d die in Sting’s last match, but well, he’s still breathing. Yeah, Sting knew from the first time he saw Darby in action, Darby is a risk taker. Sting was, too, in his younger days. Well, Sting’s old now but he’s still a risk taker. Especially here in Greensboro. The fans tell him, “You Still Got It!” and Sting smiles. Sting says hold on, there are cues. The PPV must sign off, but the rest of this touching goodbye is on YouTube!

Sting’s sons rejoin him. That was some surreal stuff. Sting’s one son is wearing the exact boots, tights and jacket from when Sting faced Ric Flair way back in ’88 for the world title. And of course, the later years, Wolfpac Sting in red here. They’re “off the air” now, Sting is allowed to say that stuff. And y’know what? Greensboro’s still got it! Sting doesn’t have any words other than thanks and that he loves you all. Darby whispers something, and Sting says oh, yeah. He should call another person out for this. It wouldn’t be possible without… Tony Khan. The fans cheer as Sting tells the President, CEO & GM of AEW to hustle on out here.

TK finally makes his way out from gorilla and down the ramp, a little shy about this, and in shock seeing the carnage with his own eyes. TK and Sting hug it out, the fans cheer, and TK thanks Greensboro for being part of the greatest wrestling PPV ever! There’ve been a lot of great nights in this building, so thank you for being here to celebrate the Icon, Sting! The fans cheer that, and TK hands his mic to Darby. Darby isn’t sure what else to say, especially the fact TK felt Sting deserved this moment and the fans gave it to him. Sting promised he was going to leave it all out here, so hopefully the fans got everything they’d paid for. The fans cheer in confirmation!

Darby figures Sting should have the final word, he has to go to the hospital real quick anyway. Sting tells Darby to text how many stitches it ends up being. The fans cheer as Darby heads out, and Sting wonders. What about… Tony Schiavone? The fans cheer and Schiavone waves. Schiavone says it’ll cost Sting but he does get on the mic. Schiavone says he won’t get in the ring, this is Sting’s moment. But how about one last “It’s Sting” instead? The fans cheer again, and Schiavone asks how much he’ll get paid. Nah, kidding, this is free. “It’s STIIIIIIIIIIING~!” The fans cheer and the AEW locker room is now on stage to applaud!

Sting is clearly touched by everyone else on the card showing their appreciation for him, and the “Thank You, Sting!” chant begins again. Sting then looks to his sons, they hug, and the fans cheer the most touching moment of all. The video ends, capping off Sting’s AEW wrestling career. And truly, truly truly, #ThankYouSting.

My Thoughts:

Holy moly. As Tony Khan said in that bonus segment at the end right there, this very well may have been the best AEW PPV yet. About as close to perfect of a PPV as could happen, too. The only gripe I have is, why wasn’t Edge here to make a miraculous comeback and go after Christian? Does the continuance of Edge VS Christian really need the TNT Championship? Still an awesome showing from Garcia, a great move for Daddy Magic to be his back-up there, but as great as Christian’s Patriarch persona has been, the Face of TNT should be someone who could use this title. Garcia could really use a title, and specifically an AEW title. No offense to ROH, but there’s issues with how ROH is used to where it certainly comes off as a step below.

But everything else was as expected and in a good way. Great matches in the Zero Hour, and I actually like that it was only the two. The 12 Man Tag was a lot of fun stuff, and there was also a lot of good dysfunction and tension thrown in to keep this going towards the group’s eventual implosion. But White vaguely yet still clearly calling out the world title scene, him making himself out to be the best of all six could itself be the final straw. Kris & Willow winning against Skye & Julia was of course the move, too, because they will perhaps be forced apart by how only one can be TBS Champion, and we can build that towards the new PPV in April, AEW Dynasty.

Eddie winning over Bryan and finally getting that handshake was great stuff, that’s definitely a turning point for both guys. Moxley & Claudio beating FTR was a surprise, but I suppose BCC moving up in the tag division does help freshen things up in the title scene. The All-Star Scramble was a lot of fun, and I appreciate they gave us a proxy for Meat Madness in the middle there. I of course figured Wardlow was winning, this all feeds into the Undisputed Kingdom’s story. Roddy winning clean was another big surprise, but it feeds both the Undisputed Kingdom’s story and works with how Cassidy’s story has always been fighting until the wheels fall off.

Kyle O’Reilly returning was an awesome surprise, too, as was him being friendly with Roddy. He didn’t join The Kingdom, but he didn’t turn on Roddy, so there’s some intrigue in there that’ll help get us through the Spring and maybe even Summer. The Women’s World Championship match was great, I was right in thinking Mariah would get involved but Storm still retained, somewhat opposite of what I expected. There’s still a lot of potential in building towards Storm not appreciating Mariah and that makes Mariah turn on her, but they might be taking a slower build to that to really explore the space.

I won’t say Ospreay VS Takeshita was match of the decade as Callis was saying, but that was definitely a candidate for best of the year. Ospreay of course won, but I like that Fletcher is now being set up as his next opponent. Now, I don’t want that to turn Fletcher and Ospreay against each other, but anything can happen with this.

That Triple Threat for the world title was awesome, especially with Hangman’s Heel move being “attack refs,” while Swerve starts to lean Face by not using weapons like Nana’s crown despite this being No Disqualifications. Hangman probably didn’t tap just so Swerve would lose, but he did say he’d rather die than let Swerve win, so there’s still some credence to that. And given how the AEW Dynasty video had quite a bit of Swerve featured in it, yeah, Swerve has to be challenging for the title 1v1 by then so he can win on the inaugural edition of that PPV.

And of course, the main event, Sting & Darby VS The Bucks, those guys just going hog wild all around the stage and ringside area, what a way for Sting to say goodbye. Sting’s sons cosplaying his past looks, Darby taking a truly insane bump falling from, I dunno, 15+ feet up to crash through glass, Flair AND Steamboat taking bumps, and The Bucks even mocking Flair’s WWE retirement match, just perfect stuff. Despite what I’d been saying in the build, I’m totally fine with Sting winning out in the end because c’mon, it’s STIIIING~! As far as I know, no one has ever broke the tradition of losing in retirement before this, and I’m fairly certain no one ever will again, because Sting has had a truly amazing career.
