The Absolute AEW World Tag Team Champions have been stinging from last week’s 8 Man Tag defeat on Collision, but Perro Peligroso is looking to take another bite out of ’em! Will Vance secure a title shot for La Faccion Ingobernable? Or will this Dangerous Dog fail to overcome an Absolute?

Big Bill joins commentary and the bell rings. Starks and Vance circle, tie up, and Vance powers Starks to a corner. The ref counts, Vance lets off, but Starks shoves him. So Vance shoves Starks back, to ROCK and CHOP Starks on repeat! Fans fire up as Vance stomps away but the ref counts. Vance lets off, raises the fist, but then Starks kicks and CLUBS him! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Starks ROCKS Vance, bumps him off buckles, then whips. Vance reverses, Starks goes up and over then runs to CROSSBODY, only for Vance to catch him! Vance pops Starks up but Starks slips free. Starks runs, but into a BOOT!

Starks flops out of the ring and stumbles about while fans fire up. Vance raises the fist again, takes a bow, then goes out after Starks. Vance whips Starks hard into railing! And then runs him all the way into more railing! Fans rally and Vance drags Starks up to whip again, but Starks reverses to POST Vance! Bill goes on about the acronym teams, from LFI to FTR to HOB. Bill and Starks are the BTTEIHNQ. But before Bill can properly explain that stands for The Best Tag Team Ever In History, No Question, Starks snatches the headset. Starks says Bill is doing a great job, as is he. Mama Starks loves them, Oakland loves them, and Nigel loves them!

Starks returns the headset to bring Vance up and RAM him into railing! And again! Starks soaks up the cheers while striking his pose, and he drags Vance back up. Starks SMACKS Vance off the apron, brings him around the way, but Vance hits back! Vance CLUBS Starks, ROCKS him, and the go up the ramp. Starks kicks low to snap suplex Vance to the ramp! Vance writhes, Starks smiles and Rampage goes picture in picture.

Starks drags Vance up, but Vance blocks the suplex to CLUB Starks down! Vance brings Starks around but Starks DROPKICKS him down! Starks puts Vance in, covers, TWO! Starks keeps his focus on Vance and brings him up again. Vance RAMS Starks into a corner! Vance CHOPS, ROCKS and repeat! The ref counts, Vance fires off forearm after forearm, then he CLUBS away on Starks! The ref backs Vance down, but Vance storms back up, only for Starks to poke him in the eye! Starks wrenches an arm, goes up and tightrope walks for Absolute Old School! AX HANDLE drops Vance! Starks then goes to the apron as Rampage returns to single picture.

GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! Starks pushes Vance in, covers, TWO! Starks snarls, but he runs in corner to corner. Vance elbows him away, goes up and FLYING SHOULDER TACKLES! Vance rallies on Starks with LARAIT after LARIAT! Starks goes to a corner, Vance clotheslines him! And whips corner to corner, to clothesline again! Vance whips, Starks reverses but Vance blocks, to then reel Starks in for a SPINEBUSTER! Fans fire up and Vance aims from a corner. Vance spins, but Starks ducks the discus to TORNADO DDT! High stack, TWO!! Vance survives and Jose pounds the apron to rally the fans.

Starks stands, says it’s done, and he brings Vance up to reel in. But Vance back drops free! And then fireman’s carry, SAMOAN DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Starks survives and Vance is furious, btu Jose coaches him up. Vance stalks Starks, clamps on the full nelson, but Starks drops to victory roll! TWO, and Vance spins Starks to fireman’s carry again. Another SAMOAN DRIVER! But Vance won’t bother covering there, he aims from ropes. But Starks distracts the ref while Bill gets off commentary! Bill rushes up on Vance, Vance takes a swing, but Bill gets away! Vance turns around, into a SPEAR!! Cover, Starks wins!

Give the big assist to Big Bill, and now the champs stomp away on Vance! Fans boo but the rest of LFI runs out here! Rush y Dralistico slide in to run Starks & Bill off! LFI wants after Starks  & Bill, will they get their revenge and even a shot at the tag titles while they’re at it?

Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.

Renee Paquette is with The Ocho as she says this Sunday, DDT Pro’s Ultimate Party 2023, he faces Konosuke Takeshita in Tokyo, Japan. Not only does Konosuke have hometown advantage, he has been on such a roll, how is Jericho preparing himself? Jericho says she’s right, Konosuke has been on a roll. He’s one of the best pro-wrestlers in the world today. “But the problem is, Takeshita, you are facing one of the best pro-wrestlers in the history of the business.” And Takeshita has also let his mind be warped by Don Callis, and has whooped Jericho time and again. So this Sunday, Ryogoku Sumo Arena, Jericho will get his revenge on that BAKA!

Jericho teaches Takeshita a lesson in front of friends, family and everyone coming to see their returning star, DDT’s biggest star, have his homecoming. Takeshita faces Jericho, who has been in Japan over 60 times. He’s won titles, headlined arenas, headlined the Tokyo Dome, he’s done it all. But Takeshita, as good as you are, Jericho is better! He will show Takeshita what it’s like to be in the ring with an angry and pissed off Chris Jericho. This Sunday in Tokyo, Japan, Jericho will get his revenge on Takeshita! The Ocho is all fired up, but will The Alpha put out that fire?

Backstage interview with Don Callis.

Lexi Nair is with the head of the Don Callis Family, who is talking with Prince Nana. She is trying to put together who the fourth member of The Don Callis Family team will be in the Street Fight next Wednesday. And what is Prince Nana doing here? Uh, he’s doing his due diligence. Just as Nana has told Callis, when you look out at the universe and dig deep into your pockets, what happens? What does that mean? Callis translates. Sammy Guevara has been brutalized by Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, and he is even having a baby yet he is on the shelf.

Jericho will be handled by Takeshita this very weekend in Tokyo, but Callis just did a deal with Nana to “rent” the services of one Brian “The Machine” Cage for that Like a Dragon Street Fight. It will be tremendous! They’re in the money, but will Jericho, Omega, Ibushi and even Paul Wight be in trouble with a now extended Don Callis Family?

Lexi is now with “The Heat” of AEW, Jeff & Karen Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh, and the #1 Contender to the ROH World Championship, Jay Lethal. The question is, when is he taking his shot? Double J says Lexi’s got heat with him right now, asking that. That is a question she has no business asking! The fact of the matter is, in Memphis, Tennessee, Jarrett embarrassed Eddie Kingston, and beat his ass in that Memphis Street Fight. The others agree (since they had a hand in that beating) and so it is now if but when Lethal gets in the ring with Eddie, he will become the NEW ROH World Champion.

Lethal says he’ll do even one better. Because when he gets the ROH World Championship match, it is 1v1 between him and Eddie, and he will prove to the world what Triple J already knows: Lethal outclasses Eddie in every possible way, and- Ortiz walks in. Y’all had a lot to say about him last week, so he did them a favor and went looking for them so they can say things to his face. Karen says Ortiz is talking a big game for one of him and five of them. Hell, Satnam himself can pass for two or three. So if she was Ortiz, she’d watch what she says. In fact, Lethal says Ortiz should watch what he says before he gets jumped by all of them here.

Oh, is that so? Well that’s the difference between Ortiz and Lethal: Lethal needs all these people to fight his battles. From where Ortiz is from, even if they get jumped, they go down swinging! So he DECKS Lethal! Satnam KNEES Ortiz, then the group mugs Ortiz. Satnam puts Ortiz on road cases to CHOKE him! Refs rush in, as does security, and Satnam lets Ortiz go. Triple J thinks they can do whatever they want, but will the Mad King put them all in their place?

Ruby Soho VS Red Velvet!

The Runaway is accompanied out by Saraya, but assures Saraya she can handle this on her own. Saraya returns to the back, will Ruby be able to handle the heat? Or will Velvet make Ruby get out of her kitchen?

The bell rings, the two circle and fans rally up. They tie up, Ruby waistlocks but Velvet fights the lift. Ruby powers up to SLAM Velvet, then she messes Velvet’s hair. Velvet gets in Ruby’s face, they tie up, and Velvet waistlocks. Velvet SLAMS Ruby the first time, then stirs it up. Fans cheer, Velvet headlocks but Ruby wrenches out to stomp a foot. Ruby headlocks, but Velvet powers out, only for Ruby to run her over! Ruby mocks the stirring, then runs. Velvet drops, then CALF KICKS! Fans fire up and Velvet runs up to fire off body shots! Velvet stomps away on Ruby, lets off to then dig her boots in and do the splits!

The ref counts, Velvet lets off, then she whips. Ruby holds ropes to block, and she SMACKS Velvet off buckles! Ruby snarls, storms up on Velvet and stomps a mudhole in. The ref counts, Ruby runs Velvet to bump her off buckles! Fans rally for Velvet, but Ruby swings, only for Velvet to counter punch! Velvet fires off, runs, and wheelbarrows, but Ruby HOTSHOTS her off ropes! Velvet sputters and falls back, Ruby covers, TWO! Fans rally for Velvet but Ruby taunts her as Rampage goes picture in picture.

Ruby pushes Velvet around, puts her back on ropes and HCOKES her! The ref counts, Ruby lets off, and Velvet sputters again. Velvet goes to a corner, Ruby grins as she storms up, but Velvet throws more hands! Ruby just HEADBUTTS Velvet back down! Ruby drags Velvet up, wrenches and reels her in, but Velvet fights the saido! Ruby powers up, but Velvet turns that into a CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO, and Ruby CLOBBERS Velvet! Cover, TWO! Ruby is annoyed but she drags Velvet up. Velvet throws hands, runs, but Ruby LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Ruby is further annoyed, and she sits Velvet up into a straitjacket stretch.

Velvet endures, fans rally up, but Ruby leans on the hold. Velvet still fights up to her feet and throws body shots. But Ruby clinches to STO! Cover, TWO! Ruby mocks the fans cheering Velvet, and Ruby drags Velvet up into a corner. Ruby smothers Velvet with the buckles while Rampage goes to break.

Rampage returns, Ruby drags Velvet up and whips her corner to corner. Velvet comes back to CLOBBER Ruby! And again! Fans fire up with Velvet and she runs to wheelbarrow and BULLDOG! Fans fire up more and Velvet runs to DOUBLE KNEE Ruby on the ropes! Ruby flops back and Velvet STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! Ruby is still in this and Velvet grows frustrated. Velvet stands Ruby up, runs up, but Ruby slips out of the Final Slice to trip Velvet! And SUPERKICK! Ruby goes to run, Velvet holds onto the waistband, but Ruby kicks free and SUPERKICKS again! Ruby drags Velvet up, reels her in, and hangs her out to dry on the ropes.

Ruby goes side to side to YAKUZA KICK Velvet back down! Cover, TWO! Velvet survives but Ruby smirks in a bit of frustration. SAIDO! And then another SAIDO!! Ruby shows no mercy as she drags Velvet up in the corner, to CHOP! Ruby runs corner to corner, but Velvet dodges! Ruby ELBOWS Velvet, goes up and DEADLY NIGHTSHADE! But then Ruby sees a bouquet of green roses be brought ringside. Ruby isn’t sure why, though. Who are these from? The ref puts those aside, and Velvet rolls Ruby up! The ref misses, hurries to the count, TWO!! Velvet might’ve won if the ref was on point, but then Ruby DECKS her!

Ruby drags Velvet up, swings, Velvet bobs ‘n’ weaves! Velvet ROCKS, KICKS and HEEL- NO, Ruby ducks that! And the buzzsaw! Ruby shoves, but the DREAMCAST KICK hits! Cover, VELVET WINS!!

After all the confrontations and stare downs, Willow Nightingale has had enough, and she gets her match with Julia Hart! And as a bonus, the winner will be the #1 contender to the AEW TBS Championship! Will the Babe with the Power too sweet to be sour bring down the Lady of the House? Or will Julia be Hartless in earning another shot at Kris Statlander?

The Kingdom w/ Roderick Strong VS Los Suavecitos!

“DASHA! DASHAAA~!” The Savior of the Backbreaker tells her to zip it?! No music! Fans boo but he tells them to shut up, too! “Ladies and gentlemen, No Neck November is in full effect, baybay!” Roddy has The Kingdom wheel him down the ramp, but then he tells them to slow down, he gets scared. But looking around Oakland, it makes sense that the Raiders left. Fans boo but Roddy says the reason why is because OAKLAND SUCKS! But enough about Oakland, Roddy wants to dedicate this match to his best friend- The fans already shout “ADAAAM~!” a la Roddy, but Roddy says no, Adam’s HIS best friend! “I love you ADAAAM~!”

Anyway, Taven & Bennett get in the ring, will they see who #NeckStrong their opponents are? The bell rings, and Taven hits a HEEL KICK on Ricky(?), and then Bennett runs in to HIP TOSS Danny(?) into the ring! The ref reprimands but The Kingdom mugs Danny. DEATH VALLEY DRIVER and JUST THE TIP of the knee! Then a PILEDRIVER for Danny!! And then Taven CHOPS Ricky, feeds him to Mike’s FOREARM, then they work together, THY KINGDOM COME!! Cover, The Kingdom wins!

Backstage interview with Daniel Garcia, Matthew Menard & Angelo Parker.

Lexi is with the X-JAS, and says Garcia asked for this time. Garcia says he did, because frankly, he is sick and tired of the pity party, he is sick and tired of being sad. So how is he gonna get back on track? Well, he went through the AEW roster page, a very extensive roster at that, and he wanted to find a name he has a lot of respect for. He found Andrade El Idolo. Garcia tells Andrade, Saturday Night Collision, let’s get it on, let’s get it poppin’! Menard says he loves that! And y’know why? Cuz they ain’t crying over spilt milk, and Garcia is making that chicken salad. But it feels to Menard that against a guy like Andrade, if you don’t have your head on straight, you’re gonna be on thin ice.

But then in walk the Outcasts, arguing about what happened out there, and Saraya tells “Jessica,” just get out of here! Her name’s Lexi… Either way, Lexi leaves, Garcia steps back, and Saraya asks Cool Hand Ange, “What kind of idiot sends flowers at 10:30 at night in the first place?” Maybe that person said 10:30 AM and the stupid flower place got it wrong. Saraya doesn’t care, just shut up. Parker is on thin ice! That is what Daddy Magic said. Okay, back off, don’t crowd her. Well excuse him, sweetheart! While Menard and Saraya argue, Ruby and Parker smile at each other. Saraya and Menard do agree one one thing: keep these two away from each other. But can they stop the chemistry that’s brewing between the Runaway and Cool Hand Ange?

Backstage interview with Roderick Strong & The Kingdom.

Lexi is now with the #NeckStrong awareness trio and says that was a huge win. Huge win? No, this is just what they do! This is the trend these three are on. And did you see how “brave” Roddy was out there? But Darius Martin & Action Andretti walk in, sarcastically clapping and congratulating The Kingdom. They saw that and they noticed how great The Kingdom looks. But they didn’t look so great the last time these four wrestled. As Action recalls, he and Darius beat The Kingdom. Taven pretends to have no idea who Action & Darius are. Then perhaps Darius & Action should remind them.

The Kingdom acts tough after the bell, but guaranteed they can’t pull that on them. Darius & Action made them bleed before to beat them in the ring, and they’ll gladly do it again. Roddy shouts “DARIUUUS~! Good job, dude. Very good job. You talked so tough. Hey, fellas, I just found my first victim. DARIUS!” Roddy rolls out and The Kingdom goes with him, but Lexi isn’t even sure Roddy’s cleared to compete. And what does he even mean, “victim?” Is Roddy finally going to get out of that wheelchair and neck brace to show he is still strong?

FTR VS Komander & El Hijo del Vikingo w/ Alex Abrahantes!

The Top Guys want to be back on top again, but they have to fight their way back to the tag titles. Will they do just that starting here tonight? Or will the AAA World Cruiserweight and AAA Mega Champions earn their own shot at the top?

The teams sort out and Komander starts against Dax Harwood. They circle, fans rally for FTR, and Dax feels things out with Komander. Komander KICKS but Dax shakes that off. They go again, Dax blocks a kick to put Komander in a corner, and he CHOPS! And ROCKS! And CHOPS again! Dax snapmares Komander, runs but Komander gets up. Dax runs him over, keeps moving, but Komander hurdles, ducks ‘n’ dodges to tilt-o-whirl RANA! Fans fire up as Komander DROPKICKS! Cover, ONE!! Dax is up but Komander CLUBS him. Komander wrenches an arm, CHOPS Dax, then wrenches again. Tag to Vikingo and fans fire up!

Vikingo takes the handoff but Dax pulls hair! The ref reprimands but Cash tags in. Vikingo slips away and he stares down with Cash. Fans rally for “VI-KING-O!” but Cash runs in. Vikingo dodges, SOBATS, and whips, but Cash reverses. Vikingo handsprings, Cash drops under, and they keep going. Vikingo wrenches and whips, Cash reverses but Vikingo breaks free, and Cash narrowly avoids the heel kick! Vikingo BOOTS, GAMANGIRIS, and then has Cash in a corner. Vikingo goes up top, to IMPLODER DRAGON RANA!! Fans are thunderous, and then Vikingo DROPKICKS Cash down! Fans are even hotter now as Cash bails out!

Vikingo builds speed and DIVES, but Cash sends him into the desk!! Fans lose their minds and medics check on Vikingo while Rampage goes picture in picture.

Cash stays back while Doc Sampson checks Vikingo. Somehow Vikingo is still conscious, and somehow he’s still okay to be in the match. Cash drags Vikingo up and into the ring, covers, TWO!! Vikingo is still in this so Cash drags him up and around to put on ropes. Cash CHOPS! Cash shakes out his hand, tags in Dax, and snapmares to SLIDING LARIAT! Dax adds an ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO!! Vikingo still isn’t done, so Dax drops a leg! Cover, TWO! Abrahantes coaches Vikingo up but Dax drags Vikingo around. Vikingo clamps onto a leg but Dax pries him free. Vikingo throws body shots, then forearms! But Dax bumps him off buckles!

Dax whips Vikingo corner to corner hard, and Vikingo falls back. Dax whips Vikingo back into the corner, and ROCKS him with a forearm! Dax CHOPS Vikingo, but Vikingo CHOPS back! They CHOP back and forth, and Vikingo fires up! Vikingo eggs Dax on, so Dax CHOPS him! Vikingo sputters, but he stays up to CHOP again! Dax runs in, blocks boots and puts Vikingo on the apron. Vikingo RAMS Dax, GAMANGIRIS, and springboards, Dax ducks, but Vikingo tags Komander! Komander slides under Dax, fires off body shots and CHOPS, but Cash runs in! So Komander fires off on him, too!

Cash whips Komander, pops him up, but Komander uses that to DROPKICK Dax! Komander then dodges Cash, gets around again, and MONKEY- NO, Cash stops the flip to put Komander on the top rope! Cash SHOVES Komander, but Komander uses body scissors to DUMP Cash up and out! FTR regroups, Komander and VIkingo do the same. They pose, fans fire up, and then fans rally with the luchadores. Vikingo goes up and out, then so does Komander. Komander jumps up, tightrope walks, and he CROSSBODIES onto Dax! Cash avoids that, only for Vikingo to ASAI MOONSAULT as Rampage returns to single picture! Direct hit!

Fans are thunderous as the luchadores stand tall! They put Dax in, Komander goes up, and he CROSSBODIES again! Dax rolls through to a cover, TWO!! Komander escapes, kicks but Dax ducks the roundhouse! But not the HEEL KICK! Komander chicken wings Dax as Vikingo goes up, but Cash runs up! Vikingo leaps over Cash, GAMANGIRIS him, but Dax gets free. Komander still CODE BREAKERS, and Vikingo goes up, MISSILE DROPKICK TABLETOP COMBO! Komander stacks Dax, TWO!! Dax escapes, but then Komander dodges! Vikingo SUPERKICKS Dax into a RANA! Cover, TWO!!! Dax escapes again!

Fans are thunderous while both men are down, and Komander catches his breath. “This is Awesome!” as Komander hoists Dax up. Dax fights the lift with elbows, but Komander still tries. Dax slips off to whip Komander away. Vikingo tags in and GAMANGIRIS! Vikingo goes up top, but Dax trips him up! Dax climbs up after Vikingo, goes to the very top, and Cash is on another corner! SUPERPLEX for the- CROSSBODY! Vikingo turns it around, and Komander springboards to SUPER STEINER Cash!! Cover, TWO!!! Dax survives, but now the luchadores go up the corners! FTR is in the drop zones, for the STEREO 450 SPLASHES!! Cover, TWO?!?

FTR is still in this but Komander drags Cash up. But Cash is dead weight so Komander drops him. Vikingo pounds the mat while fans fire up for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” Komander throws hands on Cash, runs and handsprings, but into Cash’s Gory Especial, GORY BOMB! Vikingo DREAMCAST KICKS Cash! Vikingo aims at Dax, but Dax ducks the Dreamcast to shove Vikingo away. Vikingo goes up the ropes to springboard, QUEBRADA! Dax catches Vikingo and picks him back up, TOMBSTONE!! Cover, TWO?!!? This is why Vikingo is AAA Mega Champion! The fans hope these teams “FIGHT FOREVER!” but Rampage has to end somehow!

Dax goes up, and DIVING- NO, he has to bail out of the headbutt as Vikingo moves! Vikingo runs up, Dax pops him up, SLINGSHOT- NO, Vikingo sunset flips through the bomb! TWO!! Dax is up, Vikingo runs in to roll and- NO, Dax tries the slingshot bomb again! Vikingo RANAS it this time! Cover, TWO!!! Vikingo can’t believe it but Abrahantes coaches him up. Dax runs in, Vikingo dodges and Komander GAMANGIRIS! Komander tags in, runs in, but Dax TOSSES him out! Komander holds on but barely, and Viking leaps! But Dax again tries the slingshot, POWERBOMB hits! But Komander ghost pins!! TWO!!!

Dax flounders away while Komander is shocked! Fans argue the count, but Komander just aims as Dax stirs. Dax rises in his corner, Komander runs in but Dax tosses him out! Cash tags in, Komander CHOPS Cash and slingshots to BOOT Dax! HOTSHOT for Cash, then he dodges Dax! Dax hits off the post and falls back! Komander has the fans on his side and he goes up, but the ref tries to explain who is legal! Komander still tightrope walks, CIELITO- NO, Dax avoids the shooting star! Cash slides in, Komander runs into the SHATTER MACHINE!!! Cover, FTR wins!!

Winners: FTR, by pinfall

Cash says that is why they are the absolute best! FTR just pinned one half of the AAA World Tag Team Champions, but they show him and Vikingo respect by offering handshakes. Komander and Vikingo accept and fans cheer the sportsmanship. Will Komander call his partner, Arez, to give FTR a shot at the AAA tag titles in the near future?

Wait, the lights go down! And clapping from the shadows is The House of Black. Malakai smirks as he and Brody King stare FTR down. The House returns to the shadows, will they make good on their promise to show FTR how much they “care?”

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage for actually being live for once, with an awesome main event. FTR VS Komander & Vikingo was practically PPV worthy, or at least tag title level stuff. FTR gets the win, of course, for momentum in their story against House of Black, who get the last moment on screen with that sarcastic applause and sinister smiles. Guess this is being kept to just House of Black VS FTR unless there’s a BIG tag title match in the works. Starks beats Vance thanks to Big Bill in a great opening match, but LFI runs them off after. Rush & Dralistico are in action together tomorrow for Collision, and they could call out Starks & Bill, so we should at least get Starks & Bill VS LFI at Full Gear.

That was an almost hilarious squash match from Kingdom beating up Los Suavecitos. Of course Roddy jumps in to hit someone with his finisher to take his frustrations out, and then he continues to fake the bad neck. It’s also great that Roddy has become known for shouting names to where the fans did it first, and that Roddy did it when shouting at Darius. Darius VS Roddy is going to be a great match that I’m pretty sure Roddy wins, but something has to give about him faking that neck. Or more likely, he’ll reveal he has been faking it for a long time now, and none of us fans will actually be that surprised.

Great match from Ruby VS Velvet, and a great little twist with the bouquet being enough of a distraction that Velvet wins. Velvet’s return is 1-1 after losing to Julia, and now Julia VS Willow tomorrow is going to be a great contender’s match, the winner going to face Kris. I would hope it’s part of Full Gear’s main show so we can finally say AEW booked more than one woman’s match per show. And great promos with the X-JAS and Outcasts. I am still loving that Ruby x Parker is becoming a thing on screen and now they’re playing off it with Saraya and Menard being against it. Garcia VS Andrade will also be awesome stuff, can’t wait to see that.
