While we all know ratings were the highest of 2018 for Smackdown Live, there is more data that should be looked at. YouTube numbers are a direct link to what fans are wanting to see, as they seek, find and choose to watch these clips.
Smackdown Live is only a two hour show and tends not to have the numbers Raw does. A good base number for Smackdown Live is 400k views. Anything that is given time, story and purpose should post atleast 400k views. Let’s take a look at the highest viewed clips of the week from Smackdown Live:
- Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn brutally assault Daniel Bryan: 2.7 million views
- Daniel Bryan thanks the WWE universe: 1.6m views
- Randy Orton, Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode segment: 845k views
- Jimmy Uso vs. Luke Harper: 575k views
- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev: 395k views
The big winners this week are Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Daniel Bryan was always going to do huge numbers for a return like this, however including Owens and Zayn helped there visability. While the two have been around 750k-1m over the last few months, doing over 2m is huge for them. The big loser this week is the women’s division. When Charlotte won the title and weeks after the Women were hovering around a million views. This past episode they barely did above 300k for a high point. Hopefully once Charlotte and Asuka lock up, the numbers will once again rise.
