WWE News: Maria Kanellis Ready To Get Back In The Ring

Published

on

It has been quite some time since we’ve seen WWE Superstar Maria Kanellis on-screen for the company, making her last appearance at RAW 25 back in January as part of a segment that honored female stars of the past. Maria, alongside her husband Mike Kanellis, made her return to the company after a seven year absence at Money In The Bank last year, joining the SmackDown Live roster.

It would be short-lived for Maria, announcing in September 2017 that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child and would be taking time off. Mike, who was battling his own issues with addiction last year, was subsequently moved to the RAW roster during the Superstar Shake-Up after WrestleMania 34. Maria would give birth to a baby girl back on April 4th and now just three months later, Maria is already looking to get herself back on WWE television, indicating in an Instagram post that she will be heading to the Performance Center in Orlando to begin working her way back:

Hmmmm… mommy is ready to get back to work. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages come see the most talked about couple in wrestling prior to joining the greatest show on earth, WWE. Imagine what could happen if self made talent could meet the biggest marketing machine of them all? An over night success is when experience meets opportunity. A Superstar is when a talent meets WWE TV time. I’ll be down in Florida at the beginning of August fighting for that time. Even if I’m doing it with stretched out mommy belly skin and a baby on my hip. I don’t have a college education saved in the bank for my baby girl so momma has to go back to work. #unscriptedreality #themoon #backtowork #firstlady #milkmoney Just call me mommy the money maker!!

WWE News: WWE Announces WarGames Coming Back This November

Published

on

Last November, WWE brought back an old favorite match from WCW, the WarGames, offering their take on the match for NXT TakeOver back on November 18th. The bout varied somewhat from its predecessor, sporting the usual two rings, but this time around the cage surrounding did not have a top to it. It also featured three teams of three instead of the traditional five-on-five format, as Roderick Strong joined The Authors Of Pain for the night to take on SAnitY and The Undisputed Era.

Last week, it was revealed that MLW would be offering their own WarGames this September (for more on that go here), but they won’t be the only ones putting on the match this Fall. Today, WWE has announced that NXT TakeOver: WarGames II will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 17th:

NXT TakeOver: WarGames returns this November when the black-and-yellow brand comes to the STAPLES Center on the eve of Survivor Series on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Tickets for the huge WWE Network special event, which marks the first NXT TakeOver on the West Coast, will be available starting this Friday, July 20, at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT, at nxttickets.com

The NXT Universe witnessed the monumental return of the first WarGames Match in nearly 20 years last November. Initially made famous as one of the premier match types in the NWA and, later, WCW, WarGames is a battleground unlike any other, pitting teams against each other inside two rings surrounded by a steel cage.

Last year’s match, fought among Undisputed ERA, Authors of Pain & Roderick Strong and SAnitY, set a new standard for brutality and gave Undisputed ERA bragging right after they picked up the historic win.

Don’t miss out on your chance to watch the action of TakeOver: WarGames live and in person this November when NXT comes to The City of Angels. Head to nxttickets.com this Friday to secure your seat!

Published

on

The Chris Jericho Cruise that will set sail on October 27th to the 31st from Miami, Florida to Nassau in the Bahamas will feature a massive lineup of professional wrestling and music, including the big Sea Of Honor Tournament featuring Ring Of Honor stars, among other entertainment. With just over three months remaining until everything kicks off, reservations are still available at this time. However, with the lineup for the event continuing to grow that could change.

Today, a big announcement for the Jericho Cruise was teased on Twitter:

While there were no details given, that announcement has now come through as it’s been revealed that The Alpha Club, Chris Jericho and The Young Bucks, will face-off with Bullet Club in the form of Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll and Cody Rhodes on the Jericho Cruise:

We’ve seen Jericho and The Young Bucks tease a union together in some form recently and this will mark the first time they have ever teamed up together. It will also be the first time Marty Scurll has squared off with ‘Y2J’, plus only the second time Kenny Omega have battled after their big match at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom earlier this year.
