The teams sort out and Number 4 starts with SNAKEMAN! They circle, tie up, Silver waistlocks and slams Serpentico, then drags him back up. Serpentico switches, Silver wrenches but Serpentico forearms! Serpentico runs but into a back drop! Silver flexes the guns and goes after Serpentico. Serpentico forearms, stomps Silver to the corner then whips corner to corner. Silver reverses, Serpentico goes up but gets a EuroUpper! Tag to Reynolds, and the Beaver Boys double whip to double drop toehold, then double basement dropkick! Reynolds keeps Serpentico from Luther, back suplex but Serpentico slips out! Luther tags in, but Reynolds throws haymakers!

Reynolds dodges Luther’s counter to ROCK him! Luther reveres the whip but Reynolds dodges to run and forearm, then run and flying elbow! Fans fire up but Serpentico leaps in, only to get a body shot! Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian are now ranked #1 in the AEW Tag Division, but of course, Death Triangle’s PAC & Rey Fenix still have their title shot as earned from Revolution. Their thoughts? Daniels’ thoughts are, “Who cares?” This isn’t about buzz. Daniels could sit and yell and complain but none of that is important. AEW’s wins and losses matter. AEW’s rankings matter. SCU are number one. Death Triangle has their right to the title shot. They can make all the noise they want, but The Addiction said that it was titles or bust! Every match, their tag career is on the line!

The Death Triangle can get all the buzz and noise and hype, but SCU will keep winning! Whether it’s Dark, Elevation, Escalation, Motivation, who cares what the name of the show is?! SCU will keep winning until the tag team champions are in the ring with them. Then you will all be reminded why you should’ve never forgotten about them in the first place!

Kaz adds that Daniels has been his best friend for 20 years, they’ve been a team for 10 years, but all of that is on the line to become AEW World Tag Team Champions! Isaacs breaks free and then shoves Kaz. Kaz shoves back, they tie up again, and Kaz gets a leg to trip Isaacs. Isaacs boots Kaz down but Kaz kips up to arm-drag Isaacs around. Kaz has the armlock, Isaacs fights up and wrenches back to get a wristlock. Kaz uses ropes to flip through, he wrenches and whips, but Isaacs blocks the hip toss. Kaz ducks the clothesline but isaacs bucks the O’Conner roll, only to run into another arm-drag! Fans cheer as Kaz keeps on the arm, but Isaacs fights up to put Kaz in a corner.

The ref counts, Isaacs lets off to throw a body shot! Tag to Nelson but he runs into an arm-drag! Mrs. Superbad was hurt coming out of Kip’s and Miro’s rough Revolution win, but it seems it was mostly hurt feelings. Will she win her own way to the top and prove SHE’s the best?

The bell rings, Ford rushes Alize but she dodges to arm-drag Ford around! Ford gets up, Alize rebounds and arm-drags, then runs to rana! Ford bails out, fans fire up with Alize as she builds speed, but the baseball slide is blocked! Ford spins Alize to ROCK her with a right! Ford drags Alize in and rains down forearms! Ford drags Alize up, suplexes, but Alize fights it to a cradle! TWO! Ford kicks low, whips but Alize reverses and runs in, but Ford puts her on the apron. Ford blocks the punch to DECK her, then slingshots to drop a knee! Ford drags Alize to a cover, TWO! Alize checks her face, Ford drags her up and puts her on the ropes. Ford runs to BOOT her down!

Ford chokes Alize on the ropes, gets a kiss from Kip, and then YANKS Alize off the ropes. Ford takes her time bringing Alize back up and throws haymakers. Fans rally for Alize as she fires back, and the two go back and forth with forearms! Alize CHOPS, haymakers, repeat! Alize fires off more forearms, then runs but into a BIG forearm from Ford! Billy and the boys are still going strong as an undefeated trio! But will they be able to keep that going as AEW keeps on growing?

The trios sort out, Austin starts with Priest and Priest gets after Austin already. They tie up, Priest waistlocks and slams Austin down! Austin sits up, gets up, but Priest slams him down again! Austin gets up again, pries free but Priest headlocks. Austin powers out, Priest ducks and dodges to whip but Austin does the same to trip Priest! Austin says bang bang and then hits the THROWBACK! Austin drags Priest up but Priest ROCKS him with a right! Priest tags Baron but Billy tags in! Papa Gunn puts the EmpBRUH in a corner, but Baron turns it around to CHOP! Billy turns it around, Baron dodges to CHOP again! Billy headlocks, Baron powers out but Billy runs him over!

Things speed up, Billy hurdles then blocks the hip toss to give a hip toss! Baron gets up and Billy CHOPS him back down! Billy stomps Baron in the corner, tags Colten, and Billy whips Colten for Colten to whip Billy to whip Colten to whip Billy in for a forearm smash! Colten uses Billy for the boost, to DUNK on Baron! Colten gets moving and he hits a EuroStep NECKBREAKER! Baron tags out to JSP, JSP runs to tilt-o-whirl but into a NECKBREAKER! Priest gets in to sucker punch Colten, Billy and Austin run in after him! Billy bumps Baron off buckles then calls to Austin. They whip Priest and Baron at each other, a do-si-do leads to Priest and Baron both being thrown out!

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Evans wrenches, Dante uses ropes to flip through and he reverses the wrench onto Evans. Evans cartwheels, breaks free and kicks low. Evans whips, Dante goes up and over and things speed up. Dante slides under, shoves but Evans handsprings. Dante hurdles, arm-drags and arm-drags again, then a third time! Dante has Evans’ arm for an armlock, but Evans fights up. Dante uses ropes to get a boost but Evans counters the arm-drag to his own armlock. Evans knees, throws forearms, then whips. Dante ducks and gets around to arm-drag again! Dante dropkicks Evans, turns him and hits a neckbreaker!

Dante hurries to a corner and up top, but Evans avoids the 450! Dante comes back, Evans goes up and over and handsprings for a SCREW HIGH KICK! Evans talks trash and clubs Dante down, then drags him up. Dante hits back, Evans knees and bumps him off buckles, then whips corner to corner. Evans runs in, handsprings and back elbows! Dante staggers around, Evans springboards to RYDER KICK! Cover, TWO! Evans is shocked as Dante gets to the corner. Evans bumps Dante off buckles again and again, then digs his face in! The ref counts, Evans lets off at 4, then he goes corner to corner to handspring, into Dante’s BACK SUPLEX TOSS! Evans crashes to the ramp and fans fire up!

A ring count begins, Evan crawls over but Dante sees him. Dante dodges Evans’ clothesline to CHOP! Dante suplexes but Evans escapes and runs, into a LARIAT! Dante dropkicks again, then leaps to RANA! Dante kicks low, whips, but Evans reverses. Dante FLIPS over the railing and lands on his feet! Dante ducks a kick to DECK Evans! Dante then gets space and runs in, to LEAP, into a DESTROYER!! Dante puts Evans in, goes up top, and 450 SPLASHES! Cover, Dante wins!!

Team Taz didn’t agree with The Machine about respecting Sting, but representing FTW means you don’t care what others think! Will the Path of Cage run right through the Dungeon Master and prove there is still no one better?

The introductions are made, the orange belt is raised, and Team Taz is watching closely on commentary as Cage and Cutler roll the dice!

Cutler and Cage circle, fans rally up, and the two tie up. Cage waistlocks, slams Cutler down, drag shim up in a facelock to wrench to a wristlock. Cutler rolls, handsprings, and wrenches back! Cage EuroUppers Cutler off his feet! Cage whips Cutler to a corner, runs in but Cutler slips out to ROUNDHOUSE back! Cutler shoulders in, slingshots up and KICKS Cage again! Cutler keeps moving, springboards, but into Cage’s arms! Cage pops Cutler up for a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! “Who betta?!” Cage stalks Cutler to a corner, drags him up and RAMS his shoulder in, then again! Cage CHOPS Cutler and Cutler flounders to another corner.

Cage brings Cutler up, reels him in, puts one out, but Cutler turns the bomb to a sunset flip! Cage stays up, Cutler avoids the punch then ROUNDHOUSES again! Cutler ROCKS Cage with forearms, but Cage shoves him. Cutler dodges Cage, swings a kick but Cage ducks it, only for Cutler to ENZIGURI him down! Cage falls out of the ring, Cutler runs and DIVES! Cutler gets on the apron, Cage drags him up and shouts, “WHO BETTA?” But Cutler KICKS him, bumps him off buckles, and slingshots to SUNST BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Cutler keeps going, he springboards for the FLYING FOREARM! Cutler goes to the other side, points to Taz, then springboards for the FROGGY-BOW! Cover, TWO!! Taz is pissed, Cutler climbs up again and fans fire up! Cutler leaps, Cage catches him to a suplex, for the DRILL CLAW!! Cover, Cage wins!

Team Taz breathes a collective sigh of relief because their belt stays with them! But will The Machine have to recalibrate if it took this long to deal with Cutler? Will Taz start to reconsider Cage’s place in the team?

The Reel Catch returned last week but couldn’t hook the Brazilian Blackbelt. Can she turn the tide facing the Pink Dream?

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Vox arm-drags Gracia. Gracia resets and the two tie up again. They go around, Gracia spins Vox to arm-drag her around! Gracia clamps onto the arm but Vox wrenches and whips her away. Gracia goes up and out then shoulders into Vox to slide and sunset flip, TWO! Gracia keeps moving, she springboards to crossbody! Cover, TWO! Vox gets up but Gracia dropkicks her down! Fans fire up as Gracia runs in, but Vox goes up and over and gets Gracia for a sunset flip! ONE and Gracia basement dropkicks Vox! Cover, TWO! Gracia drags Vox up, Vox ROCKS her with a forearm! Gracia ROCKS Vox back, but Vox ROCKS Gracia again!

The teams sort out, Janela starts with Vary and sends his jacket out into the bleachers! They tie up, Janela headlocks, but Vary pries free to a keylock, then a headlock of his own. Janela powers out, things speed up, Janela trips but Vary kips up! Fans cheer that, and Janela says he can do that. Janela drops, but he can’t kip up! Janela wants another try, and fans encourage him. Janela tries again, but he can’t get up? The fans are willing to give him a third try, and he sorta almost kips up. Janela SUPERKICKS Vary in frustration! Janela blows kisses to the camera, tags Kiss in, and they double whip Vary. Vary kicks Kiss, Janela ducks the enziguria dn then drags him around.

Janela hooks the legs up, fans rally and Janela gets the arms. Janela brings Vary up for the ROmero Special, and Kiss adds a cravat! Gargis gets in to break that up, and then goes to his corner. Gargis tags in, Janela tags back in, too, and Janela rethinks things. Tag back to Kiss, and Kiss springboards to LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Kiss keeps cool and paces around Gargis, but Gargis puts him in the corner! Gargis whips corner to corner, Kiss elbows Gargis away, then ROUNDHOUSES! Hollywood Hunk Nemeth is in JD’s corner, which is a very curious thing, though we did see JD help Nemeth against Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy. Does this have to do with “Pretty” Peter Avalon’s growing stable? Or is it a bond built by having some common enemies?

The bell rings, JD and Fuego circle, Fuego gives testing kicks but keeps out of JD’s grip. JD gets Fuego the third time but Fuego ducks and dodges and ranas, but JD blocks! JD swings Fuego up but Fuego slips off, runs and rolls off JD’s back, but the hip toss is blocked for a hip toss from JD! JD stands Fuego up to CHOP him! JD whips, Fuego ducks and tries again, and the RANA hits this time! JD bails out, fans fire up and Fuego builds speed to DIVE! JD catches Fuego, tosses him to ropes and DECKS him on the rebound! JD drags Fuego up, puts him in, looms over him and kicks him around. JD scoops Fuego to SLAM him, then drops a headbutt! Cover, TWO!

JD stalks Fuego, drags him up and chokes him on the ropes! The ref counts, JD lets off at 4 then runs to STRADDLE ATTACK! Fuego flops down but JD just looms over him again. Fans rally as Fuego sputters, but JD brings him up to ROCK him with a forearm, and CHOP him in the corner! JD swings but Fuego dodges the chop to fire off hands! JD denies the tornado to corner SPLASH, then scoop SLAM him into buckles! SPLASH for the cover, TWO! JD drops a knee right on Fuego, then looms over him again. Fans rally but JD toys with Fuego. Fuego hits back, gets up but JD CHOPS him down! JD tells Fuego to stay down, but Fuego refuses.

JD drags Fuego up, and suplexes him, only for Fuego to slip out! Fuego runs, tilt-o-whirls for the roll-up, TWO!! Fuego BOOTS JD from a corner, then goes up and over and runs, dodges and springboards into a wheelbarrow! JD powers up but Fuego knee smashes! Fuego fires off kicks, gives a kiss and MULE KICKS JD down! Fuego cravats, STANDING SLICED- NO! JD slips out of that, runs for a SHOTGUN BOOT! Cover, JD wins!

QT mocks the salute, things speed up, and Dean hurdles to elbow QT down! Fans fire up with the Captain and he stalks QT to a corner. QT kicks back, throws a haymaker, then whips Dean corner to corner. Dean rebounds but into QT’s clothesline! QT stomps Dean, drags him up, and throws him out to the apron. Dean shoulders back in, slingshots and clotheslines QT out! Dean builds speed and WRECKS QT with a dropkick! Then slingshots for a PLANCHA, but QT moves!

QT comes back to CLOBBER Dean! Fans boo QT’s new mean streak, but QT brings Dean up and puts him in. QT drops elbow after elbow, then shows another, but steps on Dean’s face! Fans boo the disrespect but QT just grins as he stands Dean up. Dean throws body shots then whips, but QT reverses. Dean kicks QT away, runs but into an uppercut! QT CLOBBERS Dean, covers, TWO! QT sits Dean up, and clamps on a chinlock! QT thrashes Dean around, fans rally as Dean endures, and Dean fights up to throw body shots. QT CLUBS Dean hard, then shoves him from the corner. QT climbs up, Dean stands, QT mocks the salute but jumps into a BIG dropkick!

Both men are down but fans rally up again. QT drags Dean up but Dean ROCKS him! QT ROCKS Dean, Dean ROCKS QT! They go back and forth, Dean gets the edge but QT knees low! QT whips, Dean ducks and dodges to elbow! Dean starts rallying, whips QT to a corner, but QT reverses to send Dean the other way! QT runs in but Dean puts him on the apron to GAMANGIRI him down! Dean builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit and fans fire up for Dean as he puts QT in! QT staggers to a corner, Dean runs in to dropkick! Dean keeps going, and hits another dropkick! Allure is after her but Allie hotshots her away! Allie scowls at the camera, runs in and CLOBBERS Allure! Allie laughs at Allure’s pain then dribbles her on the mat! Fans boo but Allie drags Allure up and whips her to a corner hard! Allure falls, Allie runs corner to corner to SLIDING LARIAT!

Allie shoves Allure out of the corner, bows and then mocks Allure, “What’re you gonna do?!” Allie stomps Allure, drags her up, and thrashes her around while laughing. The teams sort out and Cabana starts against Alexander. Negative One gives Cabana some quick pointers before he and Alexander circle. They approach, Cabana fakes Alexander out to get a leg trip, then floats to a facelock. Cabana brings Alexander up, Alexander wrenches but Cabana wrenches to hammerlock, wrench, then wristlock. Cabana throws Alexander to his corner and fans cheer that technical exchange. Bravo tags in, Negative One gives quick tips again, but Bravo praises Cabana for that exchange. Bravo steps up to say “Boom, Boom.” Cabana DECKS Bravo! Cabana drags Bravo up to DECK him again, drags him over and bumps him off buckles.

The ref reprimands, Brick shakes that off and goes after Stu. Brick tosses Stu to a corner, elbows hard then tags Alexander. Alexander stomps a mudhole into Stu, then throws haymakers. Tag to Bravo and Bravo fires off JAB after JAB on Stu then stomps him!

Tag to Brick and Brick stomps away on Stu! Tag to Alexander, he drags Stu up and fireman’s carries but Stu fights out! Stu gets Alexander for an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Brick tags in, fires off on Stu, then runs, but Stu LARIATS! They both stay up, but Stu gets Brick for an URENAGE! Hot tags to Uno and Bravo! Uno rallies with clotheslines, sees Alexander and kicks him for a neckbreaker! Brick gets in, Uno dodges and BOOTS him down! Bravo returns to kick back, then whips. Uno reverses, reels Bravo in to school boy, and STOMP the hands! Basement dropkick! Uno fireman’s carries and pops Bravo up for an USHIGOROSHI!

Bononi fires up, Skyler dodges his next clothesline but not the LEFT! Avalon is fired up as Bononi stomps Skyler in a corner! The erf counts, Bononi lets off, but Avalon gets his shot in! Bononi brings Skyler up, whips and hip tosses! Cover, TWO!

Bononi keeps on Skyler with a chinlock and he thrashes Skyler around. Fans rally up, Skyler fights up but Bononi CLUBS him down! Bononi throws Skyler out hard, the ref keeps his eyes on Avalon but Bononi goes out to fetch Skyler. Bononi gets Skyler up for an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Avalon is all fired up and says #BeautifulBononi is doing great! Bononi drags Skyler up, but Skyler KNEES him away! Skyler slingshots but Bononi denies the sunset flip! Skyler avoids the punch, but Bononi bucks the roll-up off! Skyler tries again, Bononi switches and catches him to a sleeper hold SWING and TOSS!

Pretty Peter is excited for Beautiful Bononi’s big win here! Will they continue to climb up the rankings and make AEW the best looking company today?

My Thoughts:

Dark is big again, but still under two hours, so that was good. We got some really good matches, such as the opener with Silver-Reynolds, then SCU VS WCWC, Evans VS Dante, and QT VS Dean. But my major complaint is that the show opens with Taz and Excalibur calling the FTR Championship match the main event. But looking at this, it WASN’T the main event! It was the middle of the card! Was that just bad editing of the match order? The FTW Championship match was certainly good, and a touch longer than the actual main event of Bononi VS Skyler, and given the story from Dynamite, it should’ve been the actual main event, not just in name.

Taz and Starks were on commentary, griping every moment Cutler got offense in, but then were happy when Cage won. There could be quite the story with Cage and the rest of Team Taz not being on the same page about Sting, and maybe Taz makes it a point of taking the title off Cage and putting it on another Team Taz member, like Will Hobbs. But my main thing is, if you call it the main event, then show it’s the main event. Elevation may have claimed to have three main events, but at least all three were at the end of the show, following the rules of calling something a main event.
