Impact News: Rich Swann To Debut In June

Published

on

In what some will most assuredly see as controversial, today Impact Wrestling announced that former WWE Superstar and Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann would be making his debut for the company at its June 1st and 2nd tapings:

Of course we all know Swann was basically ousted from WWE back February after being suspended due to an altercation with his wife, Impact Knockout Su Yung, back in December. In something out of what sounds like an episode of 90210 (Google it children), Swann had been arrested for false imprisonment and a misdemeanor charge of battery in an incident while seated inside a car with Yung.

Supposedly, Rich was critiquing one of her matches and well…that didn’t go over so good. This led to Swann reportedly becoming angry, Su hopping out of the car, Rich stopping it in traffic to go after her, but forgetting to put it into park. Thus, the car rolled into a telephone pole.

Ultimately, Brenda and Dylan made up…I mean Rich and Su…before the charges were eventually dropped.

WWE News: Details On Hulk Hogan Meeting With The Superstars

Published

on

Among today’s big WWE news prior to tonight’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view, the company announced that Hulk Hogan has been officially reinstated into the Hall Of Fame following a three-year suspension due to racially charged comments by Hulk that went public (check that story out here). Of course, this came after Hogan was spotted flying into nearby Cleveland last night despite having no scheduled appearances in the area (read that here).

PWInsider has provided some more insight into how the announcement played out today, as Hulk is indeed backstage for Extreme Rules in Pittsburgh. While there, Hogan met with WWE officials who were left feeling as if he’s “back on board with the company”.

Hulk also made a formal apology to the entire WWE locker room for his comments that surfaced back in 2015. PWInsider reports that several sources who were present for the meeting say that Hulk also apologized for embarassing the WWE, then went on to speak about being careful with your words because they could be recorded due to their public personas. It’s being said that Hogan’s words received a “big reaction” from the locker room and ended with Hulk getting emotional, receiving hugs and handshakes from a number of Superstars.

Hogan also confirmed said meeting on Twitter:

WWE News: Daniel Bryan Reportedly Agrees To Two Year Deal With WWE

Published

on

WWE’s Extreme Rules will be beginning shortly and there’s already been big news today with the announcement that Hulk Hogan has now been reinstated back into the WWE Hall Of Fame (check that out here). Now on top of that, there’s more news surrounding another all-time favorite of the WWE Universe.

According to Sean Ross of Fightful, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has agreed to a new two-year contract to remain with the company. As has been reported, Bryan’s future with WWE has been a question mark with his deal expiring on September 1st.

Bryan had previously been vocal about the chances he could leave WWE prior to finally being cleared for action after three years on the shelf due. Of course, Daniel and the company were at odds over his physical health during this time, the multi-time WWE Champion doing everything within his power to get back into the ring while WWE’s medical staff remained cautious. Recently, Bryan gave us an indication that re-signing was a high possibility when he spoke with The Business Times:

“The wrestling world is an interesting world right now. But I love working with WWE, and my wife [Brie Bella] is a part of WWE and so there’s a good chance I’ll re-sign.”
