It has been a long time coming for the WWE Universe since The Miz and Daniel Bryan got into a heated exchange on Talking Smack nearly two years ago now and with Bryan finally being cleared for in-ring competition on the road to WrestleMania earlier this year, it’s seemed like only a matter of time before the two Superstars clashed.
The rivalry has heated up considerably over the past couple of months, primarily with ‘The A-Lister’ getting one over on Bryan time and time again, including costing him a possible shot at the WWE Championship during a Gauntlet Match on SmackDown Live back in June. We’ve seen more of the same the last couple of weeks on the blue brand, last week The Miz again getting the better of Bryan with the use of a baby doll. This week on SmackDown Live (check out Mitchell’s Live Report here), Bryan finally called out The Miz, challenging him to a match at SummerSlam. Unfortunately, ‘The A-Lister’ declined, stating that he’s in the prime of his career and can’t be bothered by The Leader of the Yes Movement.
Today on Twitter, The Miz again responded to Bryan’s challenge, reiterating that he does not accept:

EA’s Take: Clearly, this match is going to happen. I don’t think anybody with half of a brain can deny that. This is just more great work from The Miz, who I’d have to agree is in his prime despite being 37-years old and 15-years into his run. I’m not sure how they get there, I don’t see a scenario where Bryan goads Miz into accepting. More than likely, it will be General Manager Paige announcing it and forcing Miz to compete.
