Jordan Devlin

The Irish Ace is back to his winning ways and I’m so happy to see it. It’s odd to think that I hadn’t really thought about him being gone until he came back and it’s clear that NXT UK has been missing the spark he brings. I’m ticked that Devlin vs Kenny Williams has been scratched from TakeOver because that would be an amazing match for the card, but I also get that they like to keep the TakeOver cards small. The match on NXT UK was great and Devlin DEFINITELY lived up to his ‘Ace’ nickname, but Williams made a statement of his own about his ability to hang with the best in the promotion. Hopefully this feud will continue and push both guys to the top of the promotion.

NXT UK Tag Team Championship

I must’ve missed the part where Gallus was added to the tag team championship match for Saturday, but I’m not mad about it, they’re a great team and have been struggling a little since they were moved down the card. I do feel bad for the Welsh Airmen, who JUST earned that title shot and now they have to deal with Gallus and Grizzled Young Veterans. GYV being pissed was pretty justified and funny, but it should be a really good match on Saturday and we, hopefully, will have new tag champs.

NXT UK Women’s Division

So we got another promo about Toni Storm vs Kay Lee Ray and heard a little more about their broken friendship. I’ve been loving this storyline, but I kind of wish that it had been part the show when KLR first showed up, rather than her just randomly having a problem with Toni, or an accidental slight. I honestly can’t say who I think will win on Saturday, an argument can be made for either of the, but it should be a great match.

So we WILL be getting Rhea Ripley vs Piper Niven II, which is FABULOUS! I’m a little bummed that it won’t be at TakeOver, but again, I get that they want to keep the card small. Still, next week should be another banger from these two rivals and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top!

That’s it for Tiffany’s NXT UK Takes! Stay tuned for NXT OG!
