Tiffany gets you ready for the week in AEW with her News You Can Use!

As AEW heads into the last Dynamite of the year, let’s see what’s shaping the world of the Elites!

News, Tidbits, and Fun

Darby Allin Signs with New Management Agency

Okay, I’ve never really heard of wrestlers doing this, but apparently, Allin has joined/switched Prestige Management Agency and they will be handling all business/booking inquiries for him. Allin seems to be a pretty in demand guy, so this is probably a smart idea for him.

Chris Jericho Comments on WALTER Car Break In

You might have heard that NXT UK Champion, WALTER, and another man, had items stolen from their vehicles in a smash n grab last week. To make a serious situation worse, one of the items stolen was WALTER’s NXT UK Championship Belt. The story caught the attention of AEW Champion, Chris Jericho, who has had his own issues with getting his title belt stolen out of vehicles. While Jericho could’ve said plenty to mock WALTER, considering all the ribbing he’d endured back in September, all Le Champion said was ‘Been there. Done that.’

Take: I appreciate Jericho taking the high road in this, considering all the mocking he’d gotten when the AEW Championship belt had been stolen from his rented limo back in the fall.

Joey Janela Comments on Jon Moxley Match

This isn’t really NEWS, but it is a fun little tidbit, so it works here. Joey Janela and Jon Moxley had their second match on Dynamite a couple of weeks ago and one spot that had a lot of people talking was a spot where Janela seemed to fall on Moxley out of the sky. The spot got comment because it LOOKED like Moxley caught the corner of a steel chair with the back of his head. When asked about it, Janela said he’d been wanting to do that spot for years and that it was ‘Absolute Art’.

Jon Moxley Responds to Lance Archer’s Challenge for Wrestle Kingdom

A few weeks ago, Lance Archer challenged Jon Moxley to a match for the IWGP US Heavyweight Championship, the title Moxley was stripped of after a typhoon prevented him from making a scheduled NJPW event. Moxley finally responded last weekend, but showing up at NJPW’s World Tag League event and not only attacked Archer, but also Minoru Suzuki, a wrestler Moxley has expressed interest in working with. During the attack, Moxley got on the mic and accepted Archer’s challenge and named the stipulation: A Texas Death Match.

Take: Okay, NJPW, you can have my money! Hope Mox gets to wrestle Archer and Suzuki at Wrestle Kingdom!

AEW Heading for Alabama and Texas!

It was announced on Tuesday or Wednesday that AEW will be coming to Huntsville, Alabama and Austin, Texas (which just happens to be the birthplace of Virgil Runnels, aka, Dusty Rhodes). Tickets went on sale on Friday, December 13, so if you’re in either of those areas, go grab your tickets!

Big Swole Signs with AEW

After setting AEW Dark on fire the last several weeks, Big Swole has OFFICIALLY signed with AEW! It was also announced that Kris Statlander has also signed with the company, but that was taken down. Given her being given a prominent storyline, I think it’s likely she’s signed, but who knows.

Brandi Rhodes to Give Keynote Speech

As the first WOC to be named a Chief Brand Officer, Brandi Rhodes has been making headlines, good and bad, since the launch of AEW. In 2020, she will be giving a keynote address to NATAPE, the largest Global Content Association, and a bunch of other spin words. Brandi was, understandably, quite excited by this honor, so we’ll probably be hearing more about it as time for it gets closer.

Vickie Guerrero To be Guest Commentator on AEW Dark

It was announced that the 12-17-19 edition of AEW Dark will have a very special commentator: Legendary WWE General Manager, Vickie Guerrero. Most of you know that Vickie is the widow of WWE Hall of Famer, the late, great, Eddie Guerrero, but she had quite a run in her own right in WWE, so it’s exciting to see what she’ll bring to the commentary table.

AEW Announces ‘Revolution’ PPV for February!

During the 12-11-19 Dynamite, it was announced that AEW’s next PPV, ‘Revolution’ will take place on February 29, 2020, in Chicago, IL. Of course, we don’t have details on the card just yet, but it is rumored that Chris Jericho vs Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship will be on it.

Chris Jericho Meet and Greet Collects 1000+ Toys for Toys for Tots

Chris Jericho might play a villainous heel on TV, but that doesn’t mean he’s one in real life. At a Meet and Greet Tuesday, Jericho teamed with Toys for Tots and asked that anyone attending the M&G bring an unwrapped toy to donate, which will be given to children who might not get a Christmas gift otherwise.  Jericho himself was ecstatic by the turnout, even posing with the toys collected.
