It’s Ricky Starks! Absolute gets out of the car, gets his bags, and shows off the King of Harts belt. “Tonight, we’re celebrating in Absolute style, baby!” Will Starks be having fun here tonight? Or will someone look to crash the party?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He has Newark open up with a celebration, let’s bring out the winner of the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup, RICKY STARKS! Fans cheer as Starks makes his entrance, bringing his bag and belt with him to the ring. Starks even gets pyro for the occasion! So much pyro! Too much pyro? Is it all the pyro AEW brought tonight? Ricky steps into the ring with Schiavone and Schiavone says congratulations. Starks won the cup, the belt, and is the King of Harts. But not without controversy, where Starks held the ropes to win. Fans still chant “You Deserve It!” and Starks smiles. Starks says, “I’ve never agreed more with a city in my life until tonight.”

But before he addresses what Schiavone is bringing up, he wants us all to know, “What’s in the bag? What’s in the bag, Ricky?” Glad they asked! NOTHING, he just wants to show off the new Louis Vuitton he bought after winning the tournament! Fans cheer that, and Starks then says, “HOT DAMN I’m the man!” Now he knows people are talking about the controversy. But what does it matter? Twenty years from now, they’ll be asking Starks how many wins, not how he wins. And if anyone else was in Starks’ shoes–which are Prada, by the way–they’d have done the exact same thing. So the way Starks sees it, he got in there and got the job done the only way he knows how: any means necessary!

Don’t talk to him about right and wrong, but about how he is stylish, and sexy, and how he’s the man! But what about the disrespect when Starks blew right by Jushin Thunder Liger when he grabbed the cup? No disrespect, Liger is a legend, but Starks is Absolute. Now, here’s something Starks wants to talk about: everyone wants to make comparisons. NO, Starks is himself. He is happy for the fans who say Starks should be a Young Pillar, it is a great sentiment, but nuh-uh, Starks don’t wanna be no damn pillar! He stands on his own as Absolute, and you tell him how many Owens have the Four Pillars won? EXACTLY!

But wait, here comes CM Punk. No theme song, no fanfare, he just goes right to the ring. Punk stands with Schiavone and Starks, and fans are torn. Punk says he isn’t here to rain on parades, this is Starks’ celebration. Punk knew everyone here in New Jersey probably thought he’d storm out here, shouting and screaming. But he’s not mad. If he’s mad, it’s at himself. In fact, looking at Starks, Punk is kinda proud. Fans are confused but Punk cannot stand here as an honest man and say he’s never cheated. And he certainly can’t stand in New Jersey and act like the fans never cheated, either. Fans boo, but who knows if that’s true.

Punk says maybe if the Jersey Devils had Starks’ wherewithal, they would’ve made it outta the first round. Fans boo more, but we all know Punk is a Blackhawks guy. But in all seriousness, Punk can live with the L. But can Starks live with the W, knowing how he did it? That he can’t beat Punk clean? Punk leaves Starks with that, and Starks tells him to hold on! Punk, man, Starks’ bag is as empty as Punk’s red bag. That gets Punk to come back! Punk stares Starks down and fans get back on his side in this. Punk tells Starks, “You wanna shot at what’s in the bag, Ricky? Or are you like Lil’ Max and just don’t want me to have it?”

Punk is the REAL AEW World Champion. Fans are torn there, but then out walks Christian Cage & Luchasaurus! Christian wants everyone to hold on, because they are contractually obligated as TNT Champion to appear in front of the live audience. But this is taking a little too long for Christian’s liking. He doesn’t wanna spend any more time in New Jersey than he has to, and they’re called “Dirty Jersey” for a reason, “you sweathogs.” So Christian wants them to shut up while he conducts business. He has a question for Punk: What kind of man carries around a title he didn’t win? Fans boo the hypocrisy right before our very eyes.

Punk laughs but Christian says he knows the answer. Just continue doing whatever this is, he and Luchasaurus are gonna go. But a quick reminder that Christian- ER, they are the faces of TNT now and forever! But here comes DARBY ALLIN! He snatches the mic right outta Christian’s hand and continues to the ring! Fans fire up for Darby and he tells Ricky that he doesn’t like the term “Pillar,” either. Four men can’t be the pillars. Anyone who is ride or die with AEW is a pillar! Just like his “good friend,” CM Punk. Darby side hugs Punk and Punk pats him on the back. Darby then asks Christian & Luchasaurus, “Who’s the champion? Is it you? Or is it you?”

But it doesn’t matter to him, because at All Out, he becomes the new Face of TNT! And he’ll put respect back on that title! Cuz when he looks at Luchasaurus, all Darby sees is a guy who took too many drugs and thinks he’s a dinosaur. Christian holds Luchasaurus back, and Darby says he isn’t here to talk. He has an idea: Tag team match! Darby & Punk VS Starks and… Well, Christian doesn’t even wrestle anymore, so make it the TNT Champion, Luchasaurus. Fans fire up for that idea! Christian says he’s the champion? Really? Then get in the tag match tonight. Christian hesitates, fans chant “YES! YES! YES!” but Tony Khan chimes in.

Schiavone says Khan makes it official! Starks & Luchasaurus, or Christian, against Darby and Punk! Fans fire up for that, and Darby says, “See you tonight, Champ.” The Relentless One just shook things up, will he and Punk get to go all out before having it out in September?

Andrade El Idolo arrived, security said hello, but told him that after the incident last week, management can’t allow Andrade into the building. What? Sam, c’mon. The House of Black stole his mask! This is why he’s here. But the security insists, he cannot go to the locker room. He has to leave. What? Andrade is frustrated, but has no choice but to leave out the back. Will the House of Black only have to worry about The Acclaimed tonight?

Jay White & Juice Robinson were so, so close to becoming AEW World Tag Team Championships, but they could not finish off FTR in their Best 2 Out of 3 Falls match. Meanwhile, Action & Darius are rolling after a Zero Hour victory at Death Before Dishonor. Will the Sight to See and the Air Wolf pass the Switchblade & Rock Hard by? Or will the Bang Bang Gang simply reload and try again?

The teams sort out and after a #GunsUp salute, Darius starts against White. The fans chant “ASS~ BOYS!” at Austin & Colten but White and Darius tie up. Darius puts White in a corner but White turns it around. White RAMS into Darius, stomps away, then lets off as the fans count. White CHOPS Darius, the Gunns “WOO~” for him, and White CHOPS again! Darius sputters, White keeps him from Action, and he CHOPS Darius in the corner! Tag to Juice, BCG double whip but Darius KICKS Juice! Darius TOSSES White, ELBOWS Juice, then DROPKICKS Juice down! Hot tag to Action, and Darius RAMS into Juice!

Action ROCKS Juice, Darius HOTSHOTS, and Action goes up to TORNILLO CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Austin complains about one in, one out, but Action drags Juice up to wrench. Tag to White, and White RAMS into Action again and again! White CHOPS Action down, grabs the legs, and tags Juice. ROPE GUILLOTINE, and then Juice drags Action out, DRAPING NECKBREAKER to the floor! Fans chant “DADDY DOESN’T LOVE~ YOU!” at the Gunns, but they just taunt Action. Darius runs up, but White RAMS him into railing! Darius goes down in a heap, the Gunns join in on a #GunsUp salute, and Juice says you’re looking at the top team in AEW! The ref reprimands everyone as Collision goes picture in picture.

The Gunns taunt the fans, Juice drags Action up and scoops, to SLAM him on the floor! Action writhes, Juice slides in and he tags White. White fetches Action, and whips him hard in to railing! Action writhes but White goes back to drag Darius up, and whips him hard into railing! The ref reprimands, White leaves Darius & Action behind, and he flexes with Juice. White goes back out, fetches Action into the ring, and covers, TWO! White drags Action up, knees him low, and tags in Juice. White hits a BACKBREAKER and Juice hits a SENTON! White then stomps away on Action, then Juice SENTONS again! Cover, TWO!

Action sputters but he’s still in this. Juice grinds his forearm into Action’s face, then smothers him! The ref counts, Juice lets off, and Action sputters again. Juice blows snot at Action, and then another round, really trying to empty that nose. Juice facelocks Action, grinds him down, but Action fights up as Collision returns to single picture. Action wrenches but Juice spins Action back into a suplex! Juice holds Action up, but Action knees things into a cradle! TWO!! Juice anchors Action’s foot but Action fights up! Action ENZIGURIS, but White tags in off Juice! Action slides under, leap frogs over, hot tag to Darius!

Darius rallies on BCG! He fires off haymakers on Juice, then CHOPS Juice! Then ROCKS White! But Juice dodges, only for Darius to BOOT White! Darius catches Juice, DOUBLE DDT COMBO! Cover, TWO! White survives and he fights the suplex. White throws body shots, then CHOPS! White runs but Darius BULLDOG HOTSHOTS him! And GAMANGIRIS! Darius goes up to CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! BCG regroups as Action tags in, and he ARABIAN PRESS SAULTS! Direct hit on BCG at the ramp! Fans fire up as Action & Darius put White in. Tag back to Darius and Action goes to the other corner. SHOTGUN GERMAN!! Bridging cover, TWO!! White survives but Action tags back in. They drag White up, but Juice returns! Action DECKS Juice but White SLEEPER SUPLEXES Darius! White distracts the ref so Juice can ROCK Action into a Tree of Woe!

The ref sees Juice, he hurries away and tags in! Juice then runs to CANNONBALL Darius! And he runs to CANNONBALL Action out of the Tree! Tag back to White and the BCG drags Action back up, LEFT HAND O’ GOD, to the SNAP SLEEPER SUPLEX! But that’s not all, the JUICE IS LOOSE!! White says bang, and drags Action up for BLADE RUNNER!! The Redeemer does not need anyone or anything but himself and victory. Will Miro continue to dominate with his own power? Or will the Wrecking Ball break him down with his own power?

And he RAMS his shoulder in again and again! And then he whips corner to corner, to run and SPLASH!

Comoroto snarls while fans boo. Miro grits his teeth as he drags himself up, but Comoroto whips again. Comoroto runs in, but misses, and Miro GERMAN SUPLEXES! Miro fires up, stomps around, and he hits the BEST KICK! Fans fire up with Miro and he rips his own shirt away! Miro shouts for it, stomps Comoroto, GAME OVER!! He welcomes out the greatest tag team in the world today, the AEW World Tag Team Champions, FTR! Fans cheer as Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood make their way out. FTR stands with Schiavone, and he says that with the chant ringing out, one week ago, wow, one of the greatest tag team matches ever. And FTR is still on top. But next week, in Hartford, Connecticut, FTR will defend these titles against the winners of the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament. It will be AEW World Champion, MJF, and Adam Cole VS FTR! Fans cheer that, and Cash asks how Newark’s doing tonight. Fans cheer, they’re good.

Cash checks the list: Aussie Open; The Acclaimed; The Young Bucks. All real tag teams that they have unfinished business with. But first, they have to deal with next week, July 29th, MJF & Adam Cole. Fans again cheer, and Cash says he gets it. The fans like those two, right? Yes! But do you trust MJF? No. Cole, listen: Do you trust Max? Cash doesn’t! That’s from firsthand experience! Anyone remember The Pinnacle? Fans cheer, and Cash saw day in and day out, the kind of person Max really is. And as a wise man once said, the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled is making you believe he doesn’t exist, and he’s doing it again!

So right here, right now, when MJF shows you what he is, and tells you what he is, listen to him. Do NOT trust MJF. Next week, Cole is not beating FTR, baybay. Dax likes where Cash went with that. Dax says that when he was about 14 to 15 years old, his dad had him go out and get a job. Yeah, he booed, too. But every single day after school, these same group of kids would come by, they were privileged with their parents’ money. Those kid would come in, make fun of Dax cuz Dax had to work for money. But Dax promised himself that if he ever saw those kids again, he’d take his right hand, and crack them in the nose. Never got that chance.

But that scenario reminds him of what’s happening right now. Because to Dax, it just feels like MJF & Cole BAYBAY are take the tag titles as a joke. It feels like they take this match as a joke. And for Dax, those skits, those little moments, and yes he knows the fans like the Double Clothesline. But it’s all the laughs and the dance break in the biggest match of their tag career! For ten YEARS, Dax has done everything he could, torn his ACLs, meniscus, labrums, biceps, and then some just to make FTR the greatest team in pro-wrestling! Fans cheer that, and Dax says next week, in Hartford, which fans boo… Dax says there will be NO comedy.

Dax vows to take out on Cole & MJF what he wanted to take out on those spoiled rich kids all those years ago. FTR will give Max & Adam something the real world never gave them: an ass kicking! #TopGuysOut! Will the Blue Collar Brawlers break the boys from Long Island and Panama City?

Taya Valkyrie VS Skye Blue!

Both La Wera Loca and the Chicago Skye have fallen short of titles, but the chase never ends. Who will take a very important step towards another opportunity?

The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally for Skey but Taya grins. Taya pats Skye on the head, then shoves her down! Fans boo but Skye stands right up to circle with Taya. They tie up, Skye waistlocks, and she holds on as Taya tries to throw her away! Taya swings a full circle and Skye lets go! Taya then KICKS Skye against ropes! Taya bumps Skye off buckles, stomps away, and then CHOPS Skye in the corner! Taya taunts Skye, but Skye dodges the chop to fire off forearms! And a CHOP! And then more forearms! Taya shoves Skye away, Skye ducks ‘n’ dodges and RAMS shoulders! Taya rebounds to run Skye over!

Fans boo but Taya just watches Skye go to ropes. Taya eggs her on, runs in, but Skye dodges to SHINING WIZARD! Skye then runs in, springboards and arm-drags! Fans rally as Skye whips, but Taya blocks! Taya whips Skye, but Skye goes to the apron! Skye ROUNDHOUSES Taya away, Taya runs in to BLAST Skye off the apron! Fans rally as Taya goes out, and she SPEARS Skye down! Fans are torn but Taya drags Skye up and into the ring. Taya CLUBS Skye, whips her to ropes, but Skye holds ropes and ELBOWS back! Skye then dodges the boot to throw Taya down by her hair! Fans fire up and Skye fires off!

Skye runs, Taya reels Skye in to lift and BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Skye survives but Taya is having fun now as we go picture in picture.

Taya stalks Skye, kicks her around, and taunts the fans. Skye goes to a corner, Taya drags her up, and bumps her off buckles! Taya stomps Skye, the ref counts, and Taya lets off. Taya stomps Skye, swaggers around and mocks the fans.

Skye crawls along ropes, Taya stomps her down! Taya stomps another mudhole in, but lets off as the ref counts. Taya blows a kiss to the fans, then covers Skye, TWO! Taya drags Skye from ropes, stomps the legs, then stomps them some more. Taya has both legs to LEG SPLITTING LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Skye is still in this but Taya slaps her around. Skye rises but Taya pushes her around. Skye fires a forearm! Taya ROCKS Skye in return! Skye comes back, they go back and forth, and then Skye gets the edge! Collision returns to single picture as Skye ducks a shot, Taya ducks a shot, and then Skye SUPERKICKS! But Taya LARIATS!

Fans fire up while both women are down! A standing count starts, Taya sits up at 2 of 10 but then flops back over. Skye rises at 4, and she throws a forearm! Taya hits back! Skye throws another, so Taya throws it back! Fans rally as the forearms go back and forth! Now it’s a hockey fight! Skye runs to SHOTGUN! Taya staggers up, into the SHINING WIZARD! Skye snapmares, but Taya blocks the superkick! Only for Skye to spin and BASEMENT ENZIGURI! Fans fire up while Taya goes to a corner. Skye runs corner to corner, but Taya puts her on the apron. CM Punk & Darby Allin VS Ricky Starks & Christian Cage w/ Luchasaurus!

The Second City Saint has a bone to pick with the Absolute King of Harts, and the Relentless Icon is coming for that TNT Championship, so this made for a rather natural move. But will Punk & Darby prove they’re the ones worthy of those belts? Or will Starks and Captain Charisma win tonight by any means necessary?

The teams sort out and Punk starts against… Wait, Starks and Christian both step out. They argue over who is starting, in that they each want the other to go. The ring count starts, goes to 5 of 10, then 7! Starks and Christian argue even as we reach 9! Starks blinks first and step sin. And then Punk rolls him up! ONE!! Punk cradles, ONE!! Starks hurries up but into a fireman’s carry! Starks fights free and Punk looms over him. Fans rally behind Punk but Starks stays back. Starks tags Christian in and so Punk HIP TOSSES Christian in! And bumps him off buckles! Fans fire up as Punk takes Christian corner to corner for another bump! And back again!

Punk brings Christian up, climbs up, and he rains down fists from all sides! Fans count along and Punk gets to 8 before Christian shoves him away. Christian storms up but in to another hip toss! Punk brings Christian over and wrenches an arm, then tags in Darby! Fans fire up and Darby wrenches the arm to a wristlock. Tag back to Punk, and Punk wrenches. Tag back to Darby and Darby wrenches again! Darby twists the wrist, tags Punk back in, and Punk wrenches the arm once more. Fans like it better when Darby’s in so Punk wrenches and grinds the arm. Darby tags in, and he wrenches Christian’s arm to WRING it out!

Darby rolls, steps through, La Magistrol, TWO! Darby headlocks but Christian powers out. Darby blocks hip toss into hammerlock and backslide, TWO! Christian kicks low, UPPERCUTS, and then looms over Darby. Christian drags Darby up, headlocks, but Punk tags in as Darby powers out. Christian jumps over Darby but Punk CALF KICKS him down! Punk mocks Starks’ pose! Christian then scurries away but Starks doesn’t want in? Christian is upset, but Punk fireman’s carries! Christian CLUBS Punk down, headlocks for the takeover, and now Starks wants in. Tag to Starks and he mugs Punk.

Starks CLUBS Punk, fans chant for “ABSOLUTE! ABSOLUTE!” Christian & Starks double whip, but Punk holds ropes! He stomps Christian then trips Starks onto him! Punk drags Starks up, suplexes, and then covers, TWO! Starks crawls but Punk keeps him from ropes. Punk wrenches, tag to Darby, and they double whip, only for Starks to hold ropes! So Punk & Darby DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE Starks up and out! Seems they can do it, too! And then they DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE Christian out! Fans chant for “DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!” while Starks & Christian regroup. Punk aims and PLANCHAS them both down!

Fans fire up and Darby goes up now! SUPER COFFIN SPLASH on Christian & Starks! Fans fire up as Punk takes a lap, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Darby puts Starks in the ring, high-fives Punk, and then Punk goes up the steps. Starks goes to a corner, Punk is on him with a wrench and whip corner to corner. Starks hits buckles hard and falls to the mat! Punk hears the fans, he brings Starks up, and he bumps Starks off buckles. Tag to Darby, they mug Starks, and Darby headlocks. Starks stands, Darby brings him around and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Punk, they mug Starks and Punk CHOPS! Punk brings Starks around, whips him to ropes, but Starks holds ropes to then KICK Punk! Tag to Christian, but Punk drop toeholds to bring him down!

Punk keeps on the leg with a deathlock, Christian endures, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns again, and Punk is on the ropes. Christian stands on Punk to CHOKE him! Christian lets off as the ref counts, and he taunts Darby, allowing Starks a cheap shot on Punk! Fans boo but Christian goes back to stand on Punk’s face. The ref counts again, Christian lets off, and he paces around Punk. Christian tags Starks, Starks goes up and drops a punch into the ribs! Then Starks hits a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Fans chant for Christian’s turtleneck, oddly, but Starks CHOPS Punk! And CHOPS him again! And CHOPS him again! Starks brings Punk around to suplex, but Punk slips free! And O’Conner Roll! TWO!

Starks CLOBBERS Punk to keep him down while fans rally and duel. Starks wrenches Punk’s arm, brings him to a corner, and goes up to swagger his way into Old School! Starks drags Punk up, brings him over, and tags in Christian. They mug Punk some more, then Christian UPPERCUTS! And UPPERCUTS! Christian drags Punk up to knock him down, but we see Scorpio Sky watching from the VIP skybox. Christian wrenches Punk, tags Starks, and the mugging continues. Starks wrenches, whips, but Punk reverses and spins him around, NECKBREAKER! Fans rally up as both men are down!

Punk crawls, reaches out, but Starks also crawls for his corner. Hot tag to Darby, but Christian still jumps in! Darby sends Christian into Starks, then hops up to THROWBACK STUNNER! Then he hops onto Starks, CODE RED!! Cover, TWO!! Starks and Christian both bail out, so Darby DIVES into Starks at the ramp! Then Darby DIVES, but into Luchasaurus! Darby bounces off the dino-man’s shoulder! Scorpio is only mildly impressed, but then Christian RAMS Darby into the desk! Darby’s body breaks the side of it! Christian paces, Starks drags Darby up and puts him in. Starks keeps Darby from Punk and stomps him down.

Starks whips Darby hard into a corner and Darby bounces off buckles! Starks covers, TWO! Darby hangs tough but Starks keeps on Darby. Starks drags Darby up, fans rally, and Starks wrenches to scoop. SNAKE EYES, and then Starks LARIATS Darby inside-out! Cover, TWO!! Darby is still in this but Starks keeps him from Punk as Collision goes back to picture in picture.

Starks drags Darby up while Scorpio leans in. Tag to Christian, he takes Darby for a KICK to the arm! And another! Darby flops over but Christian soaks up the heat. Christian taunts Darby, kicks him around, then brings him up. Darby throws body shots! Darby runs, but into a back drop! Christian hits a flying-mare, then clamps on a chinlock. Darby endures as Christian digs his knee in, then he throws Darby down. Christian digs his boot into Darby at the corner but the ref counts. Christian lets off, paces around, and fans rlaly up. Darby satnds but Christian brings him around to a suplex. Darby tries to cradle counter! And he powers throught o have it! TWO!!!

Christian CLOBBERS Darby! Punk swipes at Christian but he stays out of reach. Christian stalks Darby, soaks up more heat, and then drags Darby up to TOSS out of the ring! Chrisitan argues with the ref and the ring count begins. Darby stirs at 5 of 10, drags himself up, and Collision returns to single picture at 8! Darby slides in at 9.9!! Christian stomps Darby, tags Starks, and they mug Darby. Starks whips Darby to scoop and BACKBREAKER! Starks strikes his pose while Darby writhes. Starks tags Christian and Christian wrenches Darby. Christian says Darby won’t get his title! Christian slaps Darby around, but Darby hits back!

Fans rally, Darby backs Christian down, but Christian kicks low! REVERSE DDT! Christian goes to a corner and he climbs up. DIVING HEADBUTT FLOPS as Darby dodges! Fans fire up and Starks looks worried. Darby and Christian crawl, but Starks drops away!? Because he sneaks up to bring Punk down! Punk chases Starks, Christian grabs legs but Darby kicks him away! But now there’s no one to tag! Punk hurries but Christian THROWS Darby down! And then Christian SLAPS Punk! The ref keeps Punk back, that allows Christian and Starks to stomp away! Starks claims he and Christian tagged, so the ref accepts that.

Starks drags Darby up, whips him to the corner, but Darby BLASTS Christian! And ELBOWS Starks! Darby sunset flips, but Starks stays up, so Darby just tags in Punk! Punk rallies with haymakers on Starks and Christian! Scoop SLAM for Starks! Scoop SLAM for Christian! DROPKICK for Starks! DROPKICK for Christian! Punk shows off his agility with a cartwheel! Punk SHINING WIZARDS Starks, then SHINIG WIZARDS Christian! And back to Starks! Then BULLDOG CLOTHESLINE COMBO! Fans fire up for Punk and he brings Christian up. Punk hammerlocks, to PEPSI TWIST!! Cover, TWO!!!

Christian survives and that surprises Punk. Punk goes to a corner, climbs up, and Christian rises, into the CROSSBODY! But Christian rolls through! TWO!! Christian hurries to a corner, Punk rushes over but Christian HOTSHOTS him! Christian climbs now, but Punk ROCKS him first! Punk climbs up after Christian, to SUPER BACK DROP! Punk then adjusts, and fans fire up for the MACHO ELBOW!! Cover, TWO!! Christian is still in this and Punk can’t believe it! Punk brings Christian up but Christian hits low! Tag to Starks, but Punk fireman’s carries! GO TO- NO, Starks trips Punk to jackknife! TWO as Punk bridges up!

Fans fire up as Punk spins around, but Starks fights the backslide! Punk spins around to ROCK Starks! Starks ROCKS Punk! Starks gets the edge but Punk gives those shots back! Starks throws more shots, but Punk ROUNDHOUSES! Starks is dazed and Luchasaurus looks to Christian. Punk tags Darby! Darby jumps OVER Starks’ spear! Darby comes back, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but springboards into a CHOP BLOCK!! Starks drags Darby up, ROSHAMBEAUX!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darby survives and shocks Starks! Fans are thunderous as Starks puts Darby in a corner and hoists him up top.

Starks climbs up after Darby, “This is Awesome!” as Starks brings Darby up. Darby fights the superplex, and shifts it into a SUPER SCORPION DEATH DROP!!! Cover, CHRISTIAN BREAKS IT!! Punk runs in to fireman’s carry Christian! But Christian rakes eyes, and TOSSES Punk out! But Punk drags Christian out! GO TO SLEEP!!! Darby is up top, but while the ref is checking Christian and Punk, Luchasaurus trips Darby!! Darby lands bad, and then Starks drags him out! But Darby slips free!? Jackknife and it’s DEEP! But Starks pops free, holds ropes again, STARKS & CHRISTIAN WIN!!

Winner: Ricky Starks & Christian Cage, by pinfall

Punk can’t believe it, but Starks snatches another one! Will absolutely nothing stop Starks from taking over AEW?

My Thoughts:

This was a great Collision, lots of great build for things. Great move having Starks go right to the ring from pulling into the parking lot. Great promo segment that transitioned from him and Punk to bringing in Christian and Darby to set up a great tag team main event. They got a full half hour for that main event and they actually made every minute of it matter. In the end, logical move for Starks to cheat another win, he is going further Heel while also further upsetting Punk. This story with Starks and Punk has got to push Punk to put the red gym bag on the line, as it is supposedly where he put his copy of the AEW World Championship.

Great promos from Bullet Club Gold and the team of Action & Darius to also lead into their match. Action & Darius are strong in ROH but not so much in AEW, so BCG winning makes sense. Kinda thought a team would confront them over beating down Action & Darius after but no, that wasn’t needed because it would bring up another feud when BCG’s story is waiting on the tag titles. Great promo from FTR, though Dax could’ve been more concise about his point. MJF definitely fits the privileged kid profile but I’m not sure about Cole. And I do get Dax’s perspective of not wanting “sports entertainment” in the build. Though he kinda breaks kayfabe by calling those “skits.” That aside, FTR VS Better Than You BAYBAY will be awesome stuff next week.

Really good match from Taya and Skye, and of course Taya wins. Taya calls out Britt, that will be a really good match, and it almost feels like maybe Taya is going to become an Outcast? Sure, she just had a match with Toni Storm, and was the Face by default, but Taya could still join up because she and Toni started seeing eye to eye after their match. And Miro VS Comoroto was great stuff, because one, Comoroto attacking Miro was a great move as no one’s really tried that. But of course Miro wins out, but he’s still biding his time while all singles titles are spoken for. I can only hope Miro goes after whoever is AEW World Champion after All Out to move things into Autumn.

And really good stuff with Andrade, House of Black and The Acclaimed. Andrade being banned from the building so that The House of Black didn’t have to worry about him was a nice detail. Caster starting to tease Buddy about the Rhea-Dom stuff was where I figured he’d go, and the match itself was great stuff. I figured the House of Black would win, but what a surprise for Billy to signal retirement. This is surely for story, but there was some great showing of emotion from The Acclaimed, and of course the fans don’t want Daddy Ass to leave just yet. There could be one last match where it’s titles VS Billy’s career, but I guess we’ll wait and see.
