WWE News: Ronda Rousey Match Made For SummerSlam If…?

Published

on

Ronda Rousey WWE

In the wake of last night’s Extreme Rules in Pittsburgh, WWE’s Monday Night RAW was in Buffalo, New York tonight with the focus of the WWE Universe now switching to SummerSlam on August 19th. After successfully defending her RAW Women’s Title in an Extreme Rules match against Nia Jax last night, Alexa Bliss would make her way out tonight to revel in her victory alongside Mickie James.

The woman who hopped the guardrail and intervened at Extreme Rules, Ronda Rousey, would make her presence felt by entering the arena through the people and chase down the champion to exact her revenge. After disposing of Mickie James, ‘Rowdy’ Ronda would finally get her hands on ‘Little Miss Bliss’, but only briefly. RAW General Manager Kurt Angle would make his way out and felt forced to punish her at the behest of Constable Baron Corbin, so another week was tacked on to Rousey’s suspension…with a twist.

Kurt would also proclaim that if Ronda can stop herself from any more outbursts like tonight, she will get her match against Alexa Bliss and it will be at SummerSlam for the RAW Women’s Championship:

WWE News: Charlotte Flair Talks Her Recent Surgery, When She’ll Back Back

Published

on

As has been noted, WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair is still out of action after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured breast implant. Recently, it was reported that she would be back in time for SummerSlam on August 19th (check that out here) after Charlotte had reportedly worked for months needing the procedure.

Of course, neither WWE or Charlotte have spoken about it, as she was written off of television with a storyline injury after Money In The Bank last month. ‘The Queen’ has now opened up about her surgery today while appearing on Conversations with Maria Menounos, stating that she had popped her implants in the ring initially and had it fixed, but then started having pains a few months back:

Charlotte would also speak about when she will be returning to the ring, confirming that she will be cleared on July 31st, which would be the same night as SmackDown Live. She would proclaim, “I definitely am going to work July 31st”:

Mark Henry On Hulk Hogan’s Return, Feeling Among African-Americans

Published

on

Arguably the hottest story coming out of yesterday for the WWE was not last night’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view, but the company’s announcement that Hulk Hogan had been reinstated into the WWE Hall Of Fame after a three-year suspension (check that out here). Later on, more details were revealed about a meeting that took place backstage yesterday at the PPG Paints Arena, in which Hogan spoke to the entire locker room to issue an apology (for more on that go here).

While it was said that the feeling backstage was all positive regarding Hulk’s return, it appears as if not everyone is fully on board. WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry spoke with TMZ Sports about Hogan coming back to the company and while he felt himself that Hulk was genuinely looking to make amends, he revealed that sentiment is only “50-50” among black wrestlers in general. When asked how other African-American wrestlers were taking the news and if everyone agreed that it was time for Hogan to comeback, Mark Henry said the following:

“No, no, it’s 50-50. I’ve talked to guys that were like, ‘Man, to Hell with him’, and I had guys that was like, ‘Man, you know what, if he’s willing to make a change, try to help out and go and speak up and be part of the answer rather than part of the problem, then it’s all good’.”

He would also speak about the potential Hogan is only trying to do the right thing to earn a paycheck and his personal thoughts Hulk’s return in the video below:
