As was previously reported, former WWE Superstar and backstage producer Joey Mercury, real name Adam Birch, was arrested over All In weekend on a warrant from Orange County, Florida (read the details here).
Birch, who had just been hired by Ring Of Honor as a backstage producer in late-July (check that story here), was in Chicago to work in a similar role for All In. He was placed under arrest early on the morning of September 1st for a warrant in the State Of Florida and was being held on $2,500 bail. Now nine days later, there is more information on the situation.
PWInsider is reporting that Birch was finally released from the Cook County Department Of Corrections within the last two days. Additionally, the warrant from Orange County, Florida that he was arrested for is what’s being called, “an old, nonviolent issue”. Birch will also not be facing any charges from the State Of Illinois stemming from his arrest last weekend.
At this time, it’s not thought that Birch will be facing any repercussions from Ring Of Honor, however that’s nothing more than speculation. ROH has still yet to comment on the matter.
